Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: It's more of Mark.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Mr.
- 0:02Speaker 1: New York on 710WOR.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Well, we'll get to the Kennedy Center. Crazy Ed Sheeran,
- 0:11Speaker 3: Mom Donnie, and more. I just upgraded my iPhone to
- 0:16Speaker 3: iOS 27 because it said a whole new experience. iOS 27.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Let me just tell you what the new experience is.
- 0:26Speaker 3: First of all, everything looks exactly the same. The experience
- 0:29Speaker 3: is Anytime you want to do anything. I try to,
- 0:31Speaker 3: I open my calendar. Let's show you what's new in calendar.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Just open the calendar. I don't care what's new in calendar.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Now I try to get my mail. Let's show you
- 0:41Speaker 3: what's new in mail. I don't want a tour of
- 0:43Speaker 3: what's new in mail. Just open the mail. So, uh,
- 0:47Speaker 3: the new iPhone coming, uh, I think in a week
- 0:49Speaker 3: or so, uh, everybody, uh, has had a chance to
- 0:53Speaker 3: test all these reviewers and experts. They've tested the, um,
- 0:56Speaker 3: The new stuff, not too crazy about the foldable phone.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Nobody's too crazy about that. The new iPhone 18 Pro,
- 1:05Speaker 3: everybody raving. It's the most incredible phone. Battery life is unbelievable.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It can go for almost two days on that battery.
- 1:12Speaker 3: So iPhone 18 Pro, that's the one to get, the foldable.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Unless you got to look at big documents on your
- 1:20Speaker 3: phone where you need to see a big screen to
- 1:22Speaker 3: really see the documents, unless you do something like that,
- 1:25Speaker 3: Or charts or something. You really don't need the foldable.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And the camera's not as good on the foldable. So
- 1:32Speaker 3: a lot of reasons to wait on the foldable. Just
- 1:35Speaker 3: wait on that. This crazy Macklemore. This is the guy
- 1:41Speaker 3: that was opening for Ed Sheeran. Ed Sheeran is like
- 1:44Speaker 3: the nicest guy in the music business. I got tangled
- 1:46Speaker 3: up with this idiot. Macklemore is using this as much
- 1:52Speaker 3: as he can. His point is he hates Jews. He
- 1:55Speaker 3: hates Israel. He gets on stage. You're paying hundreds of
- 1:59Speaker 3: dollars a ticket for a concert for the guy to sing,
- 2:02Speaker 3: and instead you get.
- 2:03Speaker 4: To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters, criticism of Israel,
- 2:10Speaker 4: criticism of apartheid, being against genocide, in no way is
- 2:15Speaker 4: a criticism of you.
- 2:18Speaker 3: That's a real anti-Semitism. Semite. Called it apartheid. There was
- 2:22Speaker 3: no apartheid. genocide there was no genocide except on the
- 2:26Speaker 3: part of hamas when they committed the october 7th holocaust
- 2:30Speaker 3: but so he's uh been thrown off the tour uh
- 2:35Speaker 3: the stadium owners will not let him appear they're led
- 2:38Speaker 3: by bob craft robert craft so mclemore trying to exploit
- 2:43Speaker 3: the whole situation now he's going after bob craft and
- 2:47Speaker 3: he was yelling and screaming about craft why don't you
- 2:51Speaker 3: do something humanitarian? Why don't you do something like that? Well,
- 2:56Speaker 3: if you look at the track record of Bob Kraft,
- 2:59Speaker 3: the guy's a major, major philanthropist donating to all kinds
- 3:02Speaker 3: of humanitarian causes, charities all his life. And as soon
- 3:08Speaker 3: as McLemore said that, Kraft wrote a check for $ 2
- 3:13Speaker 3: million for humanitarian aid for Gaza and all of that.
- 3:19Speaker 3: As soon as he heard that, Kraft wrote a $ 2
- 3:21Speaker 3: million check for humanitarian aid. We're still waiting for McLemore's check.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Still waiting to get something from McLemore. Haven't heard anything yet.
- 3:31Speaker 3: So all of this is exposing the silly, frightening anti-Semitism
- 3:37Speaker 3: in the world of music fans. Many of them are
- 3:43Speaker 3: now demanding a refund for their Ed Sheeran tickets. They
- 3:46Speaker 3: won't go. And they want their money back if Macklemore
- 3:49Speaker 3: is not there. So this is absolutely insane. AOC jumping
- 3:54Speaker 3: in on this. Now she's going after Ed Sheeran.
- 3:56Speaker 5: I have a huge amount of empathy for the situation.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Because I think people want the focus here to be
- 4:06Speaker 5: about Ed Sheeran. And he, of course, plays a role.
- 4:09Speaker 5: But they're not putting the focus on Robert Kraft and
- 4:14Speaker 5: the actual people who are... who are kind of twisting
- 4:17Speaker 5: things here. So, and again, everyone has responsibility in the situation.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Everyone plays a role, but we need to be very
- 4:25Speaker 5: clear about how dangerous a precedent this is.
- 4:28Speaker 3: It's not a dangerous precedent. You're booking a music concert.
- 4:31Speaker 3: You don't want any crazy political nonsense. And she is
- 4:34Speaker 3: going after Ed Sheeran. See, she's lying there. Listen to
- 4:38Speaker 3: this reporter who asked her a question.
- 4:41Speaker 6: Hey, if Ed Sheeran comes on the radio while you're.
- 4:44Speaker 7: Driving along, are you changing the channels?
- 4:48Speaker 2: I am.
- 4:48Speaker 6: I am.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I am.
- 4:50Speaker 6: I am.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Now, I love Z100. It's our other station right down
- 4:54Speaker 3: the hall. I do actually listen to Z100. I have
- 4:57Speaker 3: never once said, what is that, Ed Sheeran? Turn the channel.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I'm not listening to this. Who would turn the station
- 5:02Speaker 3: because Ed Sheeran? First of all, Ed Sheeran comes on
- 5:04Speaker 3: every 20 minutes. It's just insane. And if you had
- 5:08Speaker 3: any sympathy for Macklemore, remember when he said.
- 5:11Speaker 8: Yeah, f * * * America.
- 5:17Speaker 3: That's Macklemore.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah, f * * * America.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Yeah, so have no sympathy for him at all. President
- 5:26Speaker 3: Trump getting blocked everywhere about putting his name on the
- 5:29Speaker 3: Kennedy Center. He wanted to call it the Kennedy Trump Center,
- 5:32Speaker 3: or probably the Trump Kennedy Center. Uh, that got shot down.
- 5:37Speaker 3: So then the idea was it does need renovations. It's
- 5:40Speaker 3: about to collapse. It's in total disrepair. So it has
- 5:44Speaker 3: to be renovated, but the judge blocked everything. And then
- 5:46Speaker 3: he was going to, he finally agreed to, uh, Kennedy center.
- 5:50Speaker 3: And then somewhere on this building, it would say as
- 5:52Speaker 3: a read, redone by Donald Trump, a judge shot that
- 5:56Speaker 3: down and the Kennedy center, uh, well, Trump is now
- 6:00Speaker 3: saying he may tear down the whole Kennedy center. You know,
- 6:05Speaker 3: the problem is it's a little childish. You can't do that.
- 6:10Speaker 3: I mean, if you renovate the thing, I guess you're
- 6:15Speaker 3: entitled to have your name on it somewhere, but you
- 6:17Speaker 3: don't have to insist on it. But he likes to
- 6:21Speaker 3: put his name on things. The problem with this, it's
- 6:24Speaker 3: too childish. I'm going to tear it all down. I'll
- 6:25Speaker 3: just destroy it. You can't do that. That's the kind
- 6:28Speaker 3: of thing you do in business when you're a builder.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And see, the problem is he's done that all his life.
- 6:34Speaker 3: And all these guys do it. That's not wrong. If
- 6:37Speaker 3: you're trying to build some big office building or some
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yankee stadium or something and the city or the town
- 6:43Speaker 3: is giving you a hard time and blocking you and
- 6:46Speaker 3: giving you nothing but grief, that's what you do. You throw, well,
- 6:49Speaker 3: I'll move the Yankees to New Jersey or some big
- 6:53Speaker 3: office building. You know, the companies do that all the
- 6:55Speaker 3: time and they're giving a hard time. Oh, we'll move
- 6:57Speaker 3: the thing to Westchester then if you want. How many
- 7:00Speaker 3: times has the stock market threatened to move to Westchester?
- 7:04Speaker 3: You do that all the time in the private sector.
- 7:07Speaker 3: You can't do that in the government. These are public institutions.
- 7:09Speaker 3: You can't threaten to tear down the Kennedy Center just
- 7:12Speaker 3: because they won't let you put your name on it.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Although he is right about the dire need to fix
- 7:18Speaker 3: this place. They've actually closed it down because it's just
- 7:21Speaker 3: too dangerous to have people in the building. The whole thing.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's about to collapse, the Kennedy Center. They call it
- 7:29Speaker 3: water intrusion. The piping system, they kept adding on and
- 7:33Speaker 3: doing it incorrectly. And it's government, so they made a
- 7:36Speaker 3: mess of it. And the water has just seeped into
- 7:38Speaker 3: every inch of the building. Not this past weekend, but
- 7:42Speaker 3: the weekend before, big, big chunk of the ceiling collapsed.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Right over the lobby where everybody would have been standing
- 7:49Speaker 3: had the place been open. Enormous chunk of the ceiling
- 7:53Speaker 3: came crashing down. People would have been injured, hurt, maybe
- 7:55Speaker 3: even killed. So it's not safe to open the building.
- 7:59Speaker 3: They've closed it down. It may just stay closed if
- 8:02Speaker 3: he can't renovate it. If you've got to renovate the
- 8:05Speaker 3: Kennedy Center, Congress allocated $ 250 million for the renovation. If
- 8:10Speaker 3: the government does the renovation, it'll cost $ 6 billion. If
- 8:14Speaker 3: a real builder from the private sector does, it'll probably
- 8:16Speaker 3: cost $ 100 million. And as long as you've got a
- 8:20Speaker 3: president who's a master builder... why not let him do it?
- 8:25Speaker 3: I know many of you hate Trump. You can't stand him.
- 8:28Speaker 3: You don't like him. You don't like his policies. Fine.
- 8:32Speaker 3: But the one thing he does know how to do
- 8:34Speaker 3: is build. In fact, they do need a ballroom. Many
- 8:37Speaker 3: presidents have said they've got to have this ballroom. As
- 8:40Speaker 3: long as you've got a guy in office who's a
- 8:42Speaker 3: master builder and has already built 150 ballrooms, let him
- 8:47Speaker 3: do it. Let him do it. Have you seen that
- 8:49Speaker 3: new heliport? It's beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. it's got the seal
- 8:56Speaker 3: of the president. It's magnificent. It's in all kinds of granite.
- 9:00Speaker 3: You know, when the helicopter would land on the White
- 9:03Speaker 3: House lawn, this has been going on for years. These
- 9:06Speaker 3: are not regular helicopters. These are these big, enormous military
- 9:10Speaker 3: marine helicopters. You know how hot the heat coming out
- 9:14Speaker 3: of that engine gets? When they would land, they would
- 9:17Speaker 3: burn up the grass. The tires are so big, they
- 9:20Speaker 3: would destroy the grass. So what they would do When
- 9:22Speaker 3: the helicopter had to land, you never even noticed this.
- 9:24Speaker 3: They put down these four enormous metal plates on the
- 9:28Speaker 3: ground for the tires to land on the metal plates
- 9:31Speaker 3: because the grass couldn't hold the helicopter or it'd burn
- 9:34Speaker 3: up the grass. So that's why when you saw Marine
- 9:37Speaker 3: One come down, it came down so slow and it
- 9:39Speaker 3: jerked around a little because the pilot had to hit
- 9:42Speaker 3: those four plates exactly. And Trump, after watching this, just
- 9:46Speaker 3: thought it was preposterous, put in a helipad, a real one,
- 9:50Speaker 3: so the helicopter wouldn't just land and it won't tear
- 9:52Speaker 3: up and burn up the grass all the time. And
- 9:55Speaker 3: it's so big and beautiful, this heliport, with the big,
- 9:57Speaker 3: beautiful emblem in it. You could also use it for events,
- 10:00Speaker 3: for parties, for a cocktail party or whatever. So he
- 10:03Speaker 3: rebuilt it. It's perfect. A lot of these things he's
- 10:05Speaker 3: done are great. Absolutely great. There's an entrance where when
- 10:10Speaker 3: you see the world leaders come in and they're greeted
- 10:13Speaker 3: on the steps and then they go through the door
- 10:14Speaker 3: into the White House. Well, when they first go to
- 10:16Speaker 3: the White House, that big area is called the Palm Court.
- 10:20Speaker 3: And it was hideous. It was cheap, cracked linoleum. The
- 10:24Speaker 3: walls weren't so great. So Trump redid that immediately. Now
- 10:27Speaker 3: it's beautiful marble. It's a grand entrance when you come in.
- 10:31Speaker 3: So he's done a lot of great things.
- 10:34Speaker 6: All right.
- 10:34Speaker 3: The Oval Office, that was a good idea to put
- 10:37Speaker 3: some gold trim up there. but not every inch of
- 10:41Speaker 3: the wall. Maybe some gold on the molding or something,
- 10:45Speaker 3: but not every inch. And it was a very good
- 10:48Speaker 3: idea to bring some more paintings, some of those beautiful
- 10:50Speaker 3: paintings in there, but not 300 of them. You don't
- 10:53Speaker 3: need to put a painting on every inch of every wall.
- 10:56Speaker 3: It's a little too much. So when you walk in there,
- 10:59Speaker 3: it's like a kaleidoscope. You can't even see straight when
- 11:01Speaker 3: you walk in that room. So he does get carried
- 11:04Speaker 3: away on some of those things, but let him Let
- 11:07Speaker 3: him rebuild the Kennedy Center. He does know how to
- 11:09Speaker 3: do that. And everything he's built is pretty good. Have
- 11:12Speaker 3: you ever heard about a problem with any of his buildings,
- 11:14Speaker 3: with Trump Tower? You ever heard about a problem with
- 11:17Speaker 3: the Grand Hyatt, which he built over Grand Central? You
- 11:20Speaker 3: ever hear about a problem with Trump International, Columbus Circle?
- 11:26Speaker 3: You ever been in the U.N.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Building?
- 11:27Speaker 3: It is the most disgusting, decrepit building. From the moment
- 11:31Speaker 3: you walk in the lobby to every hallway, every room
- 11:33Speaker 3: is old, decrepit looking. Right across the street, Trump, what's
- 11:39Speaker 3: it called? The Trump World Tower. Magnificent building. Much better.
- 11:42Speaker 3: So let them rebuild all this stuff. Hey, let me
- 11:46Speaker 3: just check here. If you're a Democrat, cover your ears.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Stock market is up today. Way up. And oil is falling.
- 11:55Speaker 3: It's down to $ 100 a barrel. Still way too high.
- 11:58Speaker 3: But it's coming down and will keep coming down. Hey,
- 12:02Speaker 3: a new book has come out. Princess Dye Her brother
- 12:09Speaker 3: wrote a book. Princess Di's brother has written a book.
- 12:13Speaker 3: It's a little late. I mean, that's how long ago
- 12:15Speaker 3: is that? 30 years ago. You don't realize that? Princess
- 12:18Speaker 3: Di crashed in 1997. That's almost 30 years ago. So
- 12:23Speaker 3: it's a new book and it really goes after King Charles.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Her brother is Charles Spencer, the ninth Earl of Spencer. Yeah, great.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I don't know what happened to the first eight Earls
- 12:35Speaker 3: of Spencer, but this guy's the ninth Earl of Spencer.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It says, new bombshell book, Swan Song, Diana, my sister.
- 12:44Speaker 3: All right, not the greatest title, but then he's only
- 12:47Speaker 3: the ninth Earl of Spencer. The monarch, he says that
- 12:52Speaker 3: after Diana died, that Charles was very cold about it.
- 12:57Speaker 3: You know, the marriage hadn't been great. And then after
- 13:00Speaker 3: she died, after the car crash, he vowed that he
- 13:03Speaker 3: said his ex-wife would be forgotten soon enough. That's how
- 13:09Speaker 3: they talk if you're royalty. You know, if you're in America,
- 13:11Speaker 3: if you hated your wife and she was going to cry,
- 13:13Speaker 3: you'd say, F her. You'd say, eh, people forget about her.
- 13:17Speaker 3: But if you're a royal, she'll be forgotten soon enough. Now,
- 13:21Speaker 3: if you want to sound really classy, use that phrase,
- 13:24Speaker 3: soon enough. Yeah. So if you yelled at somebody, I'll
- 13:30Speaker 3: take care of you, just throw that in. I'll take
- 13:33Speaker 3: care of you soon enough. It makes you sound very classy.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Soon enough. Diana, you know, I forgot about this. She
- 13:42Speaker 3: was only 36 at the time. Only 36. So this
- 13:46Speaker 3: new book discusses how Charles had contempt for Diana. And
- 13:50Speaker 3: he couldn't believe anybody would be so bowled over by
- 13:54Speaker 3: her death. They put out a statement at Buckingham Palace.
- 13:57Speaker 3: It's a good statement, actually. Very classy, this Buckingham Palace book.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Normally you put out a statement, this guy's a liar
- 14:04Speaker 3: and an idiot. The statement said, it warned that the
- 14:09Speaker 3: loss of the Princess of Wales could have muddled Spencer's memory.
- 14:14Speaker 3: His Majesty is mindful that the pain of fraternal grief
- 14:18Speaker 3: can cloud reason, affect judgment, and color memory in ways
- 14:23Speaker 3: others do not recognize. Even many years after such a loss.
- 14:27Speaker 3: That is the classiest put down. ever in the history
- 14:31Speaker 3: of the world. You got to give Charles credit for,
- 14:33Speaker 3: for that stuff. Uh, anyway, we'll take some calls next 800-321. Oh,
- 14:39Speaker 3: excuse me. Wait, we'll take some calls soon enough. Soon enough.
- 14:43Speaker 3: We'll take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number 800-321-0710. 321-0710. Now,
- 14:53Speaker 3: much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 14:59Speaker 1: On 710WOR.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Well, hey, there's open lines. Don't tell me you couldn't
- 15:06Speaker 3: get through. I see open lines right now. If you
- 15:08Speaker 3: want to call, it's 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 15:09Speaker 2: 800-321-0710.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Give us a call. 800-321-0710. 3, 2, 1, 0, 7, 10.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Are you a big Atlantic City fan? One of the
- 15:25Speaker 3: landmarks of Atlantic City, the Steel Pier. You remember the
- 15:28Speaker 3: Steel Pier? It's for sale. You could buy it if
- 15:32Speaker 3: you want. It's $ 85 million. That's a lot. That's a
- 15:40Speaker 3: lot for a pier, especially in Atlantic City. $ 85 million.
- 15:44Speaker 3: It's a historic attraction. It's right across from the Boardwalk.
- 15:46Speaker 3: It's actually right across from the Hard Rock Hotel in casino.
- 15:50Speaker 3: It's 5.2 acres. It's listed by Ryan Serhant. You know
- 15:55Speaker 3: that Serhant? He's like the new hotshot top real estate guy.
- 15:59Speaker 3: A little annoying, that guy, but it's 1,000 feet long.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Classic jersey shirt. It's got the amusement park on it.
- 16:06Speaker 3: It's got a big towering Ferris wheel. It's got games.
- 16:09Speaker 3: It's got food. And it's unusual. It's one of the...
- 16:13Speaker 3: It's only pure with a built-in helipad. All right. Which is...
- 16:20Speaker 3: It's a good deal, I guess. It's a good deal. Anyway,
- 16:22Speaker 3: let's take some calls. Let's go to Keith in Massapequa. Keith,
- 16:25Speaker 3: how are you doing? Hey, Mark, how are you doing?
- 16:28Speaker 2: First, I want to say I enjoy you on Kudlow.
- 16:30Speaker 3: You're talking too fast. I can't think that fast. A
- 16:32Speaker 3: little slower.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sorry. I enjoy you on Kudlow when you're
- 16:36Speaker 2: on with Joe Conch.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Really? You've got a TV now. Look at that.
- 16:39Speaker 2: The reason I was calling.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Mark, is I heard that Kudlow is the smartest show
- 16:46Speaker 3: on television. It is the smartest show. Everybody should watch
- 16:49Speaker 3: it every day. You're obviously a high-brow fellow if you're
- 16:52Speaker 3: watching Kudlow every day.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Well, he does a great job. You know what I mean?
- 16:55Speaker 2: He's very bright, seriously, very bright. Almost as bright as
- 16:59Speaker 2: you are, seriously, but whatever.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Not quite that bright. But, no, it's the smartest show
- 17:03Speaker 3: on television. You can learn more watching Kudlow. Go ahead.
- 17:06Speaker 3: What did you want to say?
- 17:07Speaker 8: The reason I'm calling is this thing with Netanyahu, with
- 17:10Speaker 8: the mayor, aside from getting himself in more trouble, Mamdani,
- 17:16Speaker 8: that is, with the mayor, with Netanyahu and wanting to
- 17:18Speaker 8: arrest him or whatever, wouldn't it be smart for the
- 17:23Speaker 8: Jewish Americans in the city, and I'm just saying this
- 17:26Speaker 8: as a Catholic man, wouldn't it be smart for them
- 17:29Speaker 8: to rise up and say, why don't.
- 17:30Speaker 2: You leave the leader of Israel alone? It's our greatest ally.
- 17:35Speaker 3: They say that every day. They've been saying that.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It don't seem like they're too organized, though. They're very organized.
- 17:41Speaker 3: They say it all the time. The president says it.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Everybody says it all the time.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Well, Trump I know does, yeah, but I just.
- 17:47Speaker 8: It just seems like there'd be more rallies against the
- 17:48Speaker 8: mayor or something like that with the Jewish Americans.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Well, there have been a few. You don't want to
- 17:52Speaker 3: get into the rally business. That's for crazy left-wing Democrats.
- 17:55Speaker 3: But the Jewish community, very well organized, and they do
- 17:58Speaker 3: say that all the time. But thanks for calling. Yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 3: they do. The mayor, just an anti-Semite. It's just in
- 18:05Speaker 3: his blood. Netanyahu's not a criminal. There's no real court
- 18:09Speaker 3: that's ever accused him of anything. Well, well, maybe in
- 18:12Speaker 3: Israel he was accused of– What was he accused of?
- 18:15Speaker 3: Taking a gift or something? But outside of that, I mean,
- 18:17Speaker 3: that's just little stuff. But the International Criminal Court is
- 18:21Speaker 3: not a real court. It's not recognized by anybody except
- 18:24Speaker 3: a couple of lunatics. It's not an actual court. It
- 18:27Speaker 3: was formed by a bunch of left-wing nuts who put
- 18:30Speaker 3: it together. Let's go to Colts Neck. Who is this
- 18:35Speaker 3: in Colts Neck?
- 18:37Speaker 6: This is Jeff.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Hi, how are you doing? Hi, Jeff. What do you
- 18:40Speaker 3: want to say?
- 18:42Speaker 9: Well, I tell you, first time caller, I love your program.
- 18:45Speaker 9: I was saying it years ago, you should go to
- 18:47Speaker 9: three hours. I'm glad you're at three hours.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Oh, you're the guy that's responsible for this.
- 18:52Speaker 6: I am, I am.
- 18:53Speaker 9: What the hell's wrong with you?
- 18:54Speaker 3: I got to get up an hour earlier every day
- 18:56Speaker 3: because of you.
- 18:57Speaker 7: Oh, well, come on.
- 18:59Speaker 3: It worked out for you. I never got up that
- 19:01Speaker 3: early in my life.
- 19:04Speaker 9: I just want to thank you for the support of
- 19:05Speaker 9: Trump and the support of the country. We need calm heads,
- 19:10Speaker 9: solid heads, and sane heads to get this country back online.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Thank you very much.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Thanks for calling. You're a wonderful guy. Yippee, leave this
- 19:18Speaker 3: guy ass because of him. I got to get up
- 19:20Speaker 3: at 7 in the morning. See, it'd be great to
- 19:24Speaker 3: be Harry and Meghan. You don't need an alarm clock.
- 19:28Speaker 3: They don't have an alarm clock. What do they need
- 19:29Speaker 3: it for? They don't have anything to do all day.
- 19:32Speaker 3: It's quite a life they lead. They wake up and
- 19:35Speaker 3: try to figure out what the hell to do all day.
- 19:37Speaker 3: The big activity, go to lunch. Then Spend the afternoon
- 19:42Speaker 3: figuring out where to go to dinner. That's about it.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Then back to sleep. Let's go to Kathy in North Carolina. Kathy,
- 19:48Speaker 3: how are you doing?
- 19:49Speaker 4: Hi.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Listen, don't make fun of Mondami for the toilets. That's
- 19:55Speaker 1: a great idea.
- 19:56Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 19:57Speaker 6: It is.
- 19:59Speaker 1: The number one complaint of New York City for tourists
- 20:03Speaker 1: or anybody is that there's no availability for toilets anywhere
- 20:06Speaker 1: and safe ones. And these sound very safe to me.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And the reason that he, I think, put one of those.
- 20:12Speaker 3: There's toilets everywhere. Everywhere there's toilets.
- 20:16Speaker 6: There's not.
- 20:16Speaker 1: You tell me where there's toilets that you can use.
- 20:19Speaker 6: That are safe.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Okay. Let's take where I'm standing right now. I'm standing
- 20:22Speaker 3: here right now. You go one block that way, you
- 20:24Speaker 3: got the New York Hilton. You go into the lobby.
- 20:27Speaker 1: You can't go inside there.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Yes, you can.
- 20:30Speaker 6: You cannot go inside there.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I do it all the time. Now, listen to me.
- 20:33Speaker 3: You walk into the New York Hilton.
- 20:35Speaker 6: I can't believe you just admitted that.
- 20:37Speaker 3: All the time. You walk into the New York Hilton,
- 20:39Speaker 3: go to the back of the lobby. There's a big
- 20:41Speaker 3: huge men's room and ladies room they're really nice okay
- 20:44Speaker 3: you can use.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Them again i can tell you 30.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Places within two blocks of here we can use the
- 20:49Speaker 3: bathroom if you want.
- 20:50Speaker 1: To keep a place clean and people not urinating under
- 20:53Speaker 1: overpasses the homeless people let them have a effing toilet
- 20:59Speaker 1: that's great but i'm.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Just telling you this toilet i could name 15 toilets
- 21:03Speaker 3: you could use Within two blocks of here.
- 21:05Speaker 1: That's the whole thing about Starbucks.
- 21:07Speaker 6: People couldn't go there.
- 21:09Speaker 1: They were using it, and then they shut that down.
- 21:11Speaker 2: And I don't blame them.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Starbucks, you can't. You can't just walk in and use
- 21:15Speaker 3: the bed.
- 21:15Speaker 6: They got codes.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yeah, anyway.
- 21:19Speaker 3: So, hey, by the way, if you're worried about a restaurant,
- 21:21Speaker 3: how clean is the kitchen? Always, when you go to
- 21:24Speaker 3: the restaurant, just go look in the bathroom. If the
- 21:27Speaker 3: bathroom is clean, the kitchen is clean. If the bathroom's
- 21:30Speaker 3: a mess, hasn't been cleaned in a while, the kitchen's
- 21:32Speaker 3: a mess. Because the same exact people clean both the
- 21:35Speaker 3: bathroom and the kitchen. You got time for one more?
- 21:38Speaker 3: Let's go to Gus in Long Island. Gus, how you doing?
- 21:42Speaker 7: Hi, how you doing, Mark?
- 21:44Speaker 3: Good. What's going on?
- 21:45Speaker 7: I wanted to tell you, you know, the way the
- 21:48Speaker 7: diners are closing.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 7: We've got a brand new diner, the Peter Pan in Bayshore. Oh.
- 21:54Speaker 7: It just opened up last month. Beautiful. Everything brand new.
- 21:59Speaker 7: It's on Sunrise Highway and Bayshore Road in Bayshore.
- 22:03Speaker 3: All right. Very good. You know, I've noticed that in
- 22:05Speaker 3: Long Island, a couple of places, brand new diners are
- 22:10Speaker 3: opening up, old-fashioned diners. So maybe it's going on a
- 22:14Speaker 3: lot in Long Island. Maybe it's a new trend. They've
- 22:17Speaker 3: been closing for years, but there's a couple that have
- 22:19Speaker 3: opened recently. The Carnegie Deli, as you know, just reopened.
- 22:22Speaker 3: That's like a real, you know, delis, diners, they were
- 22:25Speaker 3: kind of on the outs. Maybe they're all coming back. Hey,
- 22:28Speaker 3: when we come back, the hunt for Steve Moore. I
- 22:30Speaker 3: think he'll be here. We'll see if we can talk
- 22:33Speaker 3: to Steve Moore about the Fed rate, about Kevin Warsh,
- 22:36Speaker 3: about all of that. Coming up next on 710WOR.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Live from the WOR Life Fact Studios, Mark Simone.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Well, Steve Moore, the brilliant economist. You should get his
- 22:50Speaker 3: latest book, The Trump Economic Miracle. And also, of course,
- 22:55Speaker 3: sign up for– he puts out the best daily briefing
- 22:58Speaker 3: news analysis. It's the hotline. Just go to UnleashProsperity.com. UnleashProsperity.com.
- 23:05Speaker 3: It's free. It will come right to your email. Sign
- 23:08Speaker 3: up for the hotline there. Steve Moore, how are you doing?
- 23:12Speaker 6: Hey, Mark.
- 23:13Speaker 3: I'm doing well.
- 23:14Speaker 6: By the way, you mentioned our hotline. I don't know
- 23:17Speaker 6: if you saw yesterday that we reported– One of the
- 23:21Speaker 6: biggest economic stories of the year that almost no one
- 23:24Speaker 6: else has even picked up, which is the gold standard
- 23:28Speaker 6: of our economic indicators, comes from the Census Bureau once
- 23:31Speaker 6: a year that tracks what happened with family income, what
- 23:35Speaker 6: happened with poverty rates in the United States. And this
- 23:38Speaker 6: report was such a blockbuster.
- 23:40Speaker 3: It showed that the median.
- 23:42Speaker 6: Family income for the year 2025, Trump's first year in office,
- 23:46Speaker 6: rose to an all-time high, $ 87, 500 a year. By the way,
- 23:52Speaker 6: that's adjusted for inflation. We also saw a record low
- 23:56Speaker 6: poverty rate in the United States, the lowest poverty rate
- 23:58Speaker 6: ever in the United States for blacks, Hispanics, children, so forth.
- 24:03Speaker 6: And female women's earnings went up higher than men, so
- 24:09Speaker 6: the pay gap between men and women fell significantly. All
- 24:12Speaker 6: of this good news. Did you read that in the
- 24:14Speaker 6: New York Times? Did you read that in the Wall
- 24:16Speaker 6: Street Journal? Did you read that in the Washington Post?
- 24:18Speaker 6: Did you see that on CNN?
- 24:20Speaker 3: Yeah. I wonder why they wouldn't cover that story.
- 24:24Speaker 6: They didn't cover it at all. I mean, I guarantee you,
- 24:26Speaker 6: I guarantee you, Mark, if this had happened under Obama,
- 24:30Speaker 6: it would have been a banner headline in every newspaper
- 24:33Speaker 6: in the country.
- 24:34Speaker 3: It would have been breaking news on TV. They would
- 24:36Speaker 3: have cut into every program.
- 24:37Speaker 6: So, yeah, that's why I mean, Trump, Trump cannot get
- 24:41Speaker 6: a fair shake from the media, you know, and then
- 24:43Speaker 6: people are so depressed about the economy. Look, I get it.
- 24:46Speaker 6: Oil prices and gas prices are too high. And that
- 24:48Speaker 6: is a problem. But you look at all of these
- 24:50Speaker 6: other factors in the economy that are so positive. Trump
- 24:53Speaker 6: is right. We're bringing in trillions of dollars of new money.
- 24:56Speaker 6: You've got a construction boom going on in this country.
- 24:58Speaker 6: You've got a lot of new job creation. And yet
- 25:01Speaker 6: the media, you would think that this was the Great Depression.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Well.
- 25:06Speaker 3: That's true. Fake news has taken over. I don't know.
- 25:10Speaker 3: You know, it started 10 years ago when Trump first
- 25:12Speaker 3: ran and he said, well, when will this fake news end?
- 25:14Speaker 3: It's locked in now. This fake news will be with
- 25:16Speaker 3: us forever.
- 25:16Speaker 6: By the way, all of these numbers I mentioned, by
- 25:19Speaker 6: the way, are reversals from Obama.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I mean, from Biden.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:27Speaker 6: They are gaining income under Trump. Here's another one. The
- 25:31Speaker 6: average 401k plan, and I bet most of the people
- 25:34Speaker 6: who are listening to this show have some kind of
- 25:37Speaker 6: retirement plan, either a 401k or their money for retirement
- 25:42Speaker 6: and pension plan is invested in the market. The average
- 25:45Speaker 6: plan is up $ 24, 500 in just 18 months, whereas under Biden,
- 25:49Speaker 6: because of the high inflation rate, The average plan lost money. Again,
- 25:59Speaker 6: nobody covers this.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but the other problem is the Republicans stink at messaging.
- 26:04Speaker 3: They stink.
- 26:05Speaker 6: They're the worst communicators.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Well, you just did. The one minute you just did.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Why don't they do that? Why didn't they do that
- 26:11Speaker 3: at the midterm convention?
- 26:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 6: I mean, good question. You know, my mission in life
- 26:16Speaker 6: is to try to get them this information. I mean,
- 26:18Speaker 6: that's why radio shows like yours are so important. because
- 26:21Speaker 6: you are getting out the truth to people because you're
- 26:24Speaker 6: not going to get it. I mean, look, I scoured
- 26:27Speaker 6: through the New York Times and then there was.
- 26:29Speaker 3: A little article in the middle of the paper.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Oh, by the way.
- 26:32Speaker 6: Record high income of last year. I mean, they practically,
- 26:36Speaker 6: it was buried in between some ads in the middle
- 26:39Speaker 6: of the paper. Nobody saw it.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Now there's another story. Nobody's reporting, only you. If you
- 26:45Speaker 3: get the hotline, you'd get this story. Trump claimed Mar-a-Lago
- 26:49Speaker 3: was worth $ 450 million. They took him to court. It's
- 26:53Speaker 3: only worth $ 10 million. Explain this. A court yesterday ruled
- 26:56Speaker 3: that Trump was too low. It was worth even more
- 26:59Speaker 3: than he said.
- 27:00Speaker 6: Yeah, this, again, is an incredible story. So people probably,
- 27:05Speaker 6: what's her name? Letitia James. Yeah, Letitia James had basically
- 27:11Speaker 6: prosecuted Trump for financial fraud. She said that he overvalued
- 27:17Speaker 6: on his disclosure forms how much Mar-a-Lago was worth. She
- 27:21Speaker 6: said it was worth, I forget the number, somewhere around
- 27:23Speaker 6: $ 20 million. Now, by the way, have you ever been
- 27:25Speaker 6: to Mar-a-Lago?
- 27:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:29Speaker 6: Anyone who would look at that property, this vast property,
- 27:32Speaker 6: and say it's only worth $ 20 million has their head
- 27:35Speaker 6: screwed on. I mean, you can't even buy a four-bedroom
- 27:39Speaker 6: house for $ 20 million in Palm Beach. So Trump would say, no,
- 27:44Speaker 6: we think it's worth like half a billion. And they
- 27:47Speaker 6: accused him of fraud. And yesterday, the earlier this week,
- 27:52Speaker 6: the judge who looked at it and reviewed it said, oh, actually,
- 27:54Speaker 6: it's worth six hundred million. It's worth more than Trump
- 27:58Speaker 6: said it was, not less. And by the way, I
- 28:01Speaker 6: really believe because of prosecutorial misconduct, Letitia.
- 28:05Speaker 3: What's her name? Letitia James.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:08Speaker 6: She should be dispowered. She should be taken out of office.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, good luck with that. It's New York. All
- 28:16Speaker 3: the judges are Democrats.
- 28:18Speaker 6: It's a good example of how Trump cannot get a
- 28:20Speaker 6: fair shake from anybody with a D next to their name.
- 28:23Speaker 6: They're out to get him. And the guy is like,
- 28:26Speaker 6: he's bulletproof. I mean, the more they shoot at him,
- 28:29Speaker 6: they just ricochets off of him. But he has a
- 28:32Speaker 6: nerve of steel. Most people would wilt under this kind
- 28:35Speaker 6: of pressure. It just makes him stronger.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Hey, Steve Moore, the Fed yesterday increasing a quarter of
- 28:41Speaker 3: a point. That was the right thing to do, wasn't it?
- 28:44Speaker 6: Yeah, I think so. I mean, if I'd been on
- 28:46Speaker 6: the Federal Reserve Board, as you know, Trump nominated me
- 28:48Speaker 6: to be on. I didn't make it through the process.
- 28:50Speaker 6: But if I'd been on the Federal Reserve Board, I
- 28:52Speaker 6: probably would have reluctantly, reluctantly voted yes. It's important for
- 28:57Speaker 6: Kevin Warsh, who's a friend of mine, yours and Larry Kudlow's.
- 29:01Speaker 6: And it was a great guy, I think, fantastic economist
- 29:04Speaker 6: and perfect choice for the Fed. He wants to establish
- 29:08Speaker 6: his inflation strategy. fighting bona fides, and I think he
- 29:11Speaker 6: did that by raising the rates. Remember what they all
- 29:15Speaker 6: said about all the liberals? Oh, no, he's going to
- 29:18Speaker 6: do exactly what Trump tells him to do. The media
- 29:23Speaker 6: didn't report that, did they? Trump wanted him to cut rates,
- 29:26Speaker 6: and instead he, I think, did the right thing and
- 29:28Speaker 6: raised them. So it proves that he's independent of Trump, but.
- 29:31Speaker 3: They didn't give him credit for that.
- 29:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:33Speaker 3: What would be the argument to cut rates right now?
- 29:37Speaker 6: Well, Trump is right about a couple of things. First
- 29:39Speaker 6: of all, Trump said it very well. And so did,
- 29:41Speaker 6: by the way, so did Kevin Warsh. Kevin Warsh's statement
- 29:44Speaker 6: that he made after they announced the rate increase was
- 29:47Speaker 6: very bullish. He said, look, I think the economy looks
- 29:49Speaker 6: very strong. We got a lot of investment, all the
- 29:52Speaker 6: things that I just said. And he recited all of
- 29:55Speaker 6: those statistics. He said, there's only one problem with the
- 29:58Speaker 6: economy right now, and that's the high oil prices. And
- 30:00Speaker 6: he said, look, as Fed Sherman, I can't do anything
- 30:02Speaker 6: about global oil prices. But he said, look, we see
- 30:06Speaker 6: this economy really taking off as soon as those oil
- 30:10Speaker 6: prices come down. And I happen to agree with him.
- 30:12Speaker 6: So it was a good assessment of where we're at
- 30:15Speaker 6: right now. And he's going to be a fantastic speaker.
- 30:20Speaker 6: We just, I don't know. I don't know how we
- 30:22Speaker 6: get the oil prices down, but I guarantee you when
- 30:24Speaker 6: they come down and they will, you're going to see,
- 30:26Speaker 6: I agree with Kevin Warsh, you're going to see.
- 30:27Speaker 3: A big boom. You know, I was looking back at
- 30:29Speaker 3: the Iraq war and the same thing straight after Hormuz closed,
- 30:32Speaker 3: the oil prices went to 100 and whatever. When the
- 30:36Speaker 3: war ended, when it was all over, oil prices went
- 30:38Speaker 3: to $ 42 a barrel. Oh, yeah.
- 30:40Speaker 6: There's no shortage of oil. The amount of oil in
- 30:43Speaker 6: the world is huge. I mean, we would go back to, well,
- 30:47Speaker 6: you live in the New York area, so you pay
- 30:49Speaker 6: more than most people pay for gas. But, you know,
- 30:51Speaker 6: around the country, we could see gas back down to
- 30:53Speaker 6: below $ 2. 50 a gallon if we could just get this
- 30:55Speaker 6: situation settled in the Middle East.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Well, Steve Moore, great stuff. Everybody sign up for the hotline.
- 31:01Speaker 3: You're going to love this. You get all kinds of

- 31:15Speaker 3: Economic Miracle.
- 31:17Speaker 6: Well, I don't know how I can top that one.
- 31:19Speaker 6: I'm going to try to do a new book, maybe
- 31:22Speaker 6: on the how the blue states are burying themselves in
- 31:27Speaker 6: taxes and regulations.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that would be good. But everybody also go to Amazon.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Order his book, The Trump Economic Miracle. Steve Moore, thanks
- 31:34Speaker 3: for being with us.
