- 0:00[SPEAKER_03]: You are listening to Do Valley Deep Divers with Eric Trickle and Lance Sanderson Well, comes out of the hands of Newton It's gone the ground picked up by TJ Ward at the 4-yard line Vaughn Miller did it again on overtime media
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome into another episode of the devaluede divers presented by price.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I am her host Eric Trickle and joining me as always is Lance Anderson or that is always, but as usual anyways, Lance, how are you doing my men?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a, well, you're not basically a week since the draft.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: How are you feeling about the draft?
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: How are you feeling about the Broncos?
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: How are you feeling in general, man?
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: Well, first and foremost, I'm still trying to get caught up on all the sleep that I missed out.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to cover the draft for as long as we did.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, third saying Friday are always ridiculous, but I'm doing good.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: The more and more, I think about it, the more and more I go back and study some tape.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: I've got a film review up on milehighheadle.com.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: on Tyler on Yetham already I'm working on a joint of Coleman piece here in the next couple days as well.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: Gonna run some of the entire draft class.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really excited to get to Red Murdoch but the more and more I think about this class and the more I just kind of take a step back get out of the moment.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_02]: The more I really like it, man.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: What we're doing today here, obviously, a post, post draft 53 man roster projection, you take to look at the roster and how they built it back year over year.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, 94% of total snaps on offense and defense are back on this roster.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: There's not a whole lot of room for improvement.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: You went out and filled some depth, raised the floor the roster a little bit, and you filled some needs to man.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_02]: I feel really good, dude.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: How are you?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm doing good.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also trying to catch up on sleep, but it's been nice, you know, talked about a little bit this morning with Nick after the draft, I kind of get to take a slight step back and I'll have to do as much work.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: But so a lot of that post-strap stuff, normally I take a vacation, but you know, that's coming in June.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go visit my wife's family back in the village that she's from.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to be a way for that for about a week, but I shouldn't miss any shows.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: So just with how it was scheduled.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm looking forward to that.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: But man, I'm with you.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: I like this draft class when I happened.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: I like it even more now.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of people are mad about the consensus board and how the reaches are there.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: But we've seen a trend over the last few years of teams kind of.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: go in away from the consensus, because guess what?
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: They have their own consensus, not just inside the building, but they talk to scouts from other teams.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: They talk to other general managers and coaches.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's a consensus inside the NFL.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: So with last year, the big talk was about R.J. Harvey and Pak Bryant.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it came out not long after the Broncos selected RG Harvey that the Jacksonville Jagbars were upset that they took them when they did because they were getting ready to take them and then not long after the draft it came out that another team I can't remember who it was was looking at going after Pat Bryant a little bit after the Broncos did and then one this year with Tyler and yet him one of the.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: beat writers for the Raiders came out and basically and said that, oh yeah the Raiders are getting ready to pick up at 67 overall.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of had a, once they heard the announcement and saw the pick, they kind of had a change course and go a different way.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: Then I heard that there's a couple of the teams that were looking at them.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: So the consensus board has its uses, but we're not going to sit here and talk too much about it.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: I have an article up on my
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, kind of goes over the history of it, going back to, I believe that 2022 class.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: So you guys go to milehattles.com, check that out there.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: But the consensus board, one of my biggest issues with it's, it's a fine tool.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: Don't get me wrong.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: But there are boards that go into the consensus board that get made in January and never get updated.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: So that just throws a lot of it off.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, they need a kind of
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: redo how they do the consensus board a little bit and go with force update update a while and I shouldn't complete too much.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: My board does get put it compiled into it as well.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, it's like
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: if you have boards that get made in January and February, before the combine happens, before ProDase and it never gets updated, it's obviously gonna throw things off and it's like that every single year.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: So some of these guys who do rise throughout the process, they don't actually rise in the consensus board.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think that's a bit of a problem.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think the bigger thing here is like the consensus board is a tool for like your average everyday NFL fan and I didn't even do your everyday NFL fan like a big time draft analyst used the consensus board as well And it's more often than not it's like Somebody's watching players watching prospects just diving through tape as much as they possibly can and they find a person that they like hey, I like this guy in the third round We're gonna plug them into the into my board and upload to the consensus board
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: NFL teams don't operate like that like yeah they have their scouts out there and they're watching all these players but they're looking specifically for like team fits like personality fit scheme fits roster needs and how they how they actually have to construct their roster and they're not thinking about what's happening in this particular draft class they're thinking about what's happening over the next three years of their roster construction like
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: The consensus board is fine to just give everybody a baseline of this is these are the players that are available in this class and this is where we think that they're probably going to go on this particular range teams value that and they do I believe is Eric to cost it was saying like yeah we we take a look at the consensus board but we still have our own kind of idea of what's going on we talk with our own scouts we talk with other teams and we bring in and have our own board based on what we need to fill our team as it's currently constructed.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: So, yes, the consensus sport is very useful, but it's not the handle, be all.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: And your article on Mile Hi-Huddle kind of goes into this.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: So go and check this guy.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: Check this out.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's a very fun conversation.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: And Eric and I had this conversation what a couple of weeks ago.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: I leave right before the draft.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: We had it throughout the draft shows.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, this is not an uncommon talking point, especially for you guys here on Del Valley Deep Divers.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: the consensus board is useful, but it's not that be all end-all and NFL teams don't utilize it to weigh that most teams or most of the fans, excuse me, do in terms of like mock draft semulators and stuff like that, that's not how the how this whole operation actually goes behind the scenes.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: And one last thing on this with the consensus board is that needs remembered that.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: So Kylo and Adam, using him as an example, he was 145 on overall the consensus board.
- 6:24[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: But how do we look at the 145 players above them?
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: We could probably eliminate 50 or more players from it, from contention for the Broncos, just because of scheme fit, character, other intangibles, medical, what a position even, because honestly, Mendoza and Tysonson and Carson Beck
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: They're probably not on the Broncos board, right?
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: They don't need to quarterback that early.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're probably not going to be on there.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: They need probably have the majority of the first round picks.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because hey, they're picking 62.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to be much.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to be really available for us.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: We don't.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you do enough to have do do do your due diligence on them just in case they fall, but they're probably not actually on your their board.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: So you could probably easily eliminate 50 or more, maybe even 60 75 60 to 75 of them.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: So here we are one 145 40 fifth player for Tython yet.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, but you limited that now you're talking 90 if to 100 and he was taking at 66 and you could probably eliminate even a few more players to get him there.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: because from the sounds of it, the Broncos, they have their sixth players at 62, and it sounds like have they not been able to trade down, Tyler, and yet I'm what have been there, guy at 62, because he was that seventh guy for them.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: He was that emergency fallback guy, and they still liked him, and they didn't really have anybody else there.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: that is interesting Todd coming in saying, has anyone revealed to the six, the Broncos were considering at Bixie 62?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Not officially and we probably never will, but based off of, you know, conversations and what's kind of come out, can take a reasonable guess that Eli Stower's max
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob Rodriguez and Anthony Hill were all that because we know Anthony Hill was and Max Clay, we know those two because it's been widely reported that the Broncos were had those picks knifed from them, especially the Titans moving up specifically to jump ahead of the Broncos for Anthony Hill for that.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's that there, but before we get into this, we're going to say hello to some people in the chat real quick.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Todd, I'm Todd, come in and say hello, broadcast country done for good afternoon, y'all or good evening, depending on where you're at max evening, broadcast country Eric and Lance Paul Lance and Eric my dudes glad to see jetty splash say and did all these last three agency picks happen on one day or is there a schedule team's follow.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: on Monday, teams were allowed to sign free just without having them count against a compensatory pick formula.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: So it happens the Monday after the draft ends.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's all it was.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't really a schedule or anything.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: It was just, hey, they no longer count in the in the compensatory pick formula.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: Pop a great coming out.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good evening, Broncos.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: Country, good evening to you, Bob.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Very hope you're doing well.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Thompson saying, hey, Todd, and hey, friends.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: David, you know, I can evening everyone evening to you and Todd coming in with the question about Torin York and Red Murdoch who's actual name is Khalil Murdoch.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Funnily enough.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Red Murdoch is Red is his nickname.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: His name is Khalil Murdoch.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm coming in.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know much about Casey is he better run blocker.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's a pretty capable blocker all around.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: I would say he's a little bit better than the run game than he isn't bad.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: Those I would assume I'll correct warmly hunter.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: I highly doubt it really sounded like it was Ford line backers and two tight ends and CJ Allen was definitely among them.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: The only question and Josiah Trotter was it.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Josiah Trotter was the guy I had he been there.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's 60.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was definitely one of those six.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then we have anything else real quick.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I had to have an issues.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I have an eye on the last roster is going to be on the bubble for the new season.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: But day for sure, I would say.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's actually a good way to segue into this because we're going to go into a 53-man loss projection and it's going to be simple.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to spend time talking about every single player because some of these players are very obvious.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I have my own 53-man loss projection up on milehattled.com.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure you guys go check it out.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: That I did all by myself, you know, I didn't have a second opinion.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited to get Lance's opinion on here for sure.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, first things, first Lance, two or three quarterbacks because we know Bo Nixon's
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: Well, did they not keep Ellen go around the roster last season as well?
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, because he doesn't, he doesn't come back and forth between the roster and the practice.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: What I think he started out.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think technically he made the 53 men roster then was coming.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, get on the practice one.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: And that that that that third quarterback, if you if you want to have him on the roster, they don't count against the the game day inactive.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: So you can still dress that third emergency quarterback.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: So to me, I think that just to open up the season, they're going to have Ellen go around the roster just to have that third body and make sure that he doesn't get sniped up by another team.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: So to me, I would put all three quarterbacks on the roster.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so now we have 50 players left to go.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: And then practice squad candidate, it's not, we're not gonna narrow down to 60 players on the practice squad.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna go, you know, who we think can be in, and contention for it.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Then obviously, I think the top three, JK Dobbins, Argy Harvey, Jonah Coleman, they're all set.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: The question then becomes, and it kind of points to Albert's comment.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: The question is, players that made the roster last year that more on the bubble,
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Bade, Julia McLaughlin ended up on the roster as well, and he was a game day active as that fourth running back.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: So the fourth running back this year probably going to be an active if they keep it.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Adam Prentice, I think is a pretty good bet to make it as well.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just going to slide them over there, but do we keep that fourth running back here, or do we save it for potential spot elsewhere, even with JK Dobbins health, and then look at trying to keep at least maybe two of these guys of McLaughlin, baby, shrader and do spawn, shrader and bond being on the practice quite throughout the season.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: Look at keeping two of those for on the practice squad.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: Right now let's hold on on three because I think that there's a conversation that we can have to hold this roster math, but if there is a running back that I'm going to put on the on the 53 man roster, it would be Jelil McLaughlin just based on the usage that we saw within last season carrying the football Tyler, but day would be the second option here, but I think that you can sneak him through to the practice squad and keep him on the roster right as it as it currently stands right now.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_02]: with McLaughlin potentially taking that fourth running back spot.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's that slasher back.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: He brings a different skill set than any of the three running backs you currently have.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, RJ Harvey and him kind of cross over a little bit in the slasher role, but with Harvey's receiving ability, he's clearly going to be the guy and then Coleman and Dobbins, that's your one A1B.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: So McLaughlin will be the third running, or the fourth running back.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_02]: If we were to keep that fourth running back spot open, it would be been often in my opinion.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so I'll put McLaughlin in a practice while candidate with the possibility of moving him over as later.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: But then the question is, I, they've typically kept two on the practice squad and ticket beat.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think there is a chance because even though he wasn't great for Denver, I think that some team may find value in Tyler Bade to where if he gets cut, he may get wiped up.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I actually kind of lean Cody Schritter or do some bond as the second one over Tyler Bade.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: I actually think it's straighter to tell you the truth.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: There's a little bit more upside there.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's a little bit younger of a player as well.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_02]: If I remember correctly, and Bade was, he was solid in the chances that he actually got on this roster and specifically that Tampa Bay Buck and years game a couple of years ago, where he had those, those couple of long runs.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: But in terms of past protection, Bade was,
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: not necessarily special, and the opportunity he got, he was not special.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: It was very limited.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: He played a very limited role.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: You can get straight around there for a younger player with more upside.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think that the day is probably a cut candidate, and if he doesn't get cut, he's going to be probably on another NFL roster.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm gonna grab some comments here in the chat real quick.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Justin Simmons, he did sign that minimum guaranteed or unguaranteed deal through tires of Bronco and then, you know, just procedure and then was cut with no money there to retire.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations on him.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: It was a great career with the Broncos.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: We have some conversation about three running backs or four running backs.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: T come in and say, back, come back to the running backs before we're three.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_00]: Todd's saying, I don't like we need a full back.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: They'll keep a fullback, apprentice kind of earned it there.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: They've kept a fullback and I hate the fullback position.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's a dying position.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's not scary.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I agree that you can have applicants in the position, but Sean Payton is still a little old school.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Still likes to have that fullback, especially one who can contribute on special teams like Adam Prentice, who end up being a pretty key special teams player for Denver later in the season.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: Ernie Mays ain't coming in saying, go a Broncos country.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: Only, hello, Eric and Lance, and hello to you, Ernie Mays, coming in on this fine Friday night.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now, moving on.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: So as you can tell, technically, the undrived operations haven't signed yet.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I had to go in and add them in.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: They'll probably sign over on Monday or over the weekend.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's typically what they do right before rookie mini camp.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see if any of those guys that they agreed to actually sign for, you know, ever since Sean Payton's come in, they always have one or two guys that they signed, but don't actually sign.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens there.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: to obviously, I mean, to get through this quick, I think it's pretty settled for the first five barring a trade out, and we're not going to do any projections for trades or anything like that.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: Coal and Sutton, Jalen Waterle, Marvin Mim, Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant, they're all safe.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: This is a nice one.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I was just going to say this is where the next question comes in, do you keep a six wide receiver?
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: Is it Lowe Jordan Humphrey in that blocking role?
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Do you like Michael Bandy showed a little bit of versatility as a returner as well, late in the season?
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: He got a couple of practice why call ups, do they keep either one of those guys as of right now?
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: Let's hold off on that because I think they only go into the season with five intelligence truths.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: And the six would be Lowe Jordan Humphrey.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mostly agree with you.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that I'm just gonna go ahead and delete them.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: Don't watch.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'll move Dankey over to the practice clock candidate.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think this connection with Devinkey has a chance.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna delete Joseph Manjack, Sean Brown, and Cam Ross.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you mentioned Returner, and this is kind of the comb, this is the debate I had with mine.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: I had Colby Catses making my 53-man Ross projection because of what he can bring as returner, and then word quickly coming out how much dear and rizzy loves him as a returner.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: And Michael Bandy, he was a pot returner.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't a kick returner for them.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: It was a pot returner.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need a second pot returner.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: You need a second kick returner.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Does RJ Harvey show enough growth there because right now, you don't have anybody to be that second returner, unless you somehow get try Franklin to develop there.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's RJ Harvey is the only one with experience, so can Colby cats just make a play for it?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: Is it little Jordan Humphrey?
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: Is it Michael Bandy?
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: I will say I think Michael Bandy is more poised for the practice squad, and I think that's probably where they go with little Jordan Humphrey early on.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to move, if it's a good care with you, I'm going to move them over to the practice well candidates.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that's fine.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm going to move Colby cats is down here with Tyler Bade, DuSpawn, and so that we, those are guys that we can kind of come back to and discuss, depending on how we, where we turn out at it.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: So I haven't seen Colby Cases play yet.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I need to go back and double check some tape on that.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: My one question here, and it's probably, you're probably going to shoot it down here.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: But with Jelil McGloffins ability and his vision and the quick slasher back versatility that he has, is that a potential kick returner option there or is his size just too much of an outlier here?
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: I am trying to remember, I think he got some looks late in the season.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: I thought so too.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: Give me a second.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I know RJ Hardby had that bone head in mistake against the New York Giants and that was the end of him on special teams as a kick returner and then Tyler but A stepped in.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, McLaughlin had four returns.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: Three of them in the playoff game when they were, you know, when they got so beat up.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: He did all right.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it was enough for them.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's enough for him to really be in that conversation bar and get a major step forward
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you're going to talk about a player that's done everything that he possibly can to just continue to get better and and provide an impact for the roster.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that that's a player that has consistently done that over and over and over and over again.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, keep an eye on that.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: If he does, now that Jonah Coleman's in the room is going to be taking that that handful of carries that he was able to get this last season for sure.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: There's room there.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: And again, we have that slasher back rolled in the step in for an injury of JK Dobbins goes down, you slap him around.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: And if you can add that that kick returning special teams versatility as well, I mean, that's another player I like to put in that rule.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so tight ends.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: Adam Troutman, Evan Ingraham, I think they're pretty much cemented in, Justin Jolie with the trade up.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's pretty much cemented in.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now the conversation
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, with how they value it, the question then becomes who I will say I don't expect it to be Caleb loaner and I don't expect it to be Lucas Crowle.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think loaners regard they want back on the practice quite for another year to develop and Lucas Crowle sounds like they are all but ready to kind of move on from the bottom back just in case it couldn't land somebody and if they lose them they lose them if they don't they don't feel forced to keep them that's just kind of the sense I get.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that final
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with you.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: And here's where we come back to the Adam Prentice conversation because going back and watching Nate Adkins between the tackles.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think that Prentice is a better blocker between the tackles.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: But you have more versatility in terms of being a receiving threat out of the backfield and Nate Adkins.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: So to me, that's where this conversation comes back and forth.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: Is it apprentice or is it adkins that gets that full back position and that then changes the math here on what we've got with our roster construction because if you if you're willing to keep adkins move on from apprentice that opens up this fourth tight end spot for down and Bentley that way we would actually technically keep five tight ends on the roster
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: With Bentley, he's got the size and the willingness to be a quality blocker and he does as some receiving use to this roster.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: To me, the way that I would go about this is I would kick Adam Prentiss who was specifically a pullback only and bring adkins onto the roster and then put down Bentley there as well.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like it changes the math specifically and that pullback room here.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: And Bentley, if nothing else, you're definitely going to stick him through to the practice squad.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: As a seventh round pick, more often than not, you're your draft picks.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_02]: If you, especially in the seventh round, on draft of free agents, teams already have their guys in their room.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want to snipe players and let's say absolutely have to.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: So you can cut down and Bentley, bring it back and have him as a practice squad guy.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: I kind of wanted to tinker with this little bit and do add to his over-prensets and put down and Bentley in that fortite end spot.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: they love Adam Prentiss, man, like, they've tried and yet that comes as that fallback in times when Adam Prentiss, like last, the last couple years, it didn't go so well.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: And I agree with that 100% too, by the way, he was not good between the tackles.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he didn't get him on the outside.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: If they weren't some stretch zone, he can do that.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: But he's not a guy that is going to go dig out a lime back or face first into the chest.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: So, so I don't think there's any conversation about Prentiss not making the roster.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think he I think a lot.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: So so when looking at it, I think there are 46 47 guys who are locked to make it.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he is one of them.
- 22:16[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: So it comes to me.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: It comes down down Bentley who does well as a move blocker.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: Native Africans who does well as a move blocker, which one of them gets it?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: Native Africans is a little bit more refined as a blocker.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of technical work with Bentley.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: I still think Adkins makes it because Adkins and Prentice when they're on the field last year was actually when the Broncos were the best with their blocking.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that I give the edge to Adkins would Bentley go into the practice squad like he said there.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I agree with a lot of what you said.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: I would like to cut the full back position.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I absolutely hate the full back position nowadays.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not worth it for a guy who plays maybe five, six laps a game.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: But they like them.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: They like their usage of like what he brings.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I think practice is set.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's an atkins over down Bentley as that fourth tent.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and Nate Adkins is one of Sean Payton's guys like we know that he likes him.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: He continues to bring him back around.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: So, and I agree with you.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: And for specifically the reason why I said teams don't typically like to snipe undrafted like late round draft picks and undrafted for the agents, because they already have their roster set going into the OTAs and mini camp.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: So to get down on Bentley, cut him, bring him back as a practice squad guy.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably the best way.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_02]: I just like changing the roster math a little bit here.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's just, it's a fun conversation to have it with nothing else.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: It is, and I absolutely love doing that.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: Find that out where you can, you know, shave a spot to open up a spot elsewhere, but Sean Payne is still old school in those regards.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think it would take Davis website.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: No, we don't need a full back and I'm not going to use them for to happen.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: Which is a possibility.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: I just doubt it.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm moving on to tackles.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: uh, Garble is my Magulanchee front crumb.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're pretty much set there.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the question then becomes, you can't see him here on the screen, but I'll scroll over a little bit.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think the question then becomes, did cage KC fully push Matt Pair off the roster and I think he did.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's an interesting one because he has inside outside versatility.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like the majority of the snaps that he played at Boise State was at left tackle.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like you have like 97% exactly.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: So that again, the majority playing at left tackle, you have a natural Garrett bulls replacement and a player who said right as he was drafted, I believe is on KOA doing the post draft interview.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: saying that he models his game a lot after what Garibul's does and you can see it.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: He's not the athlete that Garibul's is, but you want to talk about mean mentality, a power player, he can play outside zone.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's just not going to get out like really at the point of attacking the attack the second level.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I think he's going to be a better guard than he's going to be attacked with the level at the next level.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_02]: start him in a pinch.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_02]: If something happens to Garrett Bowles, who had believed 34 years old this year, he's had a couple of injuries over the past couple of seasons in ankle injury specifically.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: It hasn't missed a whole lot of time, but 34 years old, you need a developmental tackle that can actually play the position.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think Cage Casey actually did kick Matt Peard off the roster this year.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: I agree, Matt Peart last year.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: He proved to be that left side backup.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: And the way Sean Patens done is you have Frank Crum measure swing tackle, left and right, then you have your backup left side tackle guard.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: That was Matt Peart last year.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: Then right side Alex Paul Chesky, who ended up kicking over is the fifth option at left guard.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: Um, there because, you know, Nick Argilio was option two.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: They tried Calvin Throck, Morton, Matt Peart, and obviously been power.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: So then that.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Cage Casey kicked Matt Peart off the roster as well.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think that he's a practice squad guy.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so either.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, I mean, Garguleo would be a more opportune player to put on the practice squad.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, that ankle injury that he suffered in the preseason last year was horrific.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm curious to understand how well he's come back from that, but that's that's Garth Center versatility.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: Cage Casey brings you tackle Garth versatility on the left side.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: I think that Garguleo can play the left side and he can also play the right side, but he also can play center for you in a pinch if you need him to.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: and as a practice squad guy, I think the guard jewel is probably the correct answer to put on that.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, now we're sitting at 24 players on offense and I think Alex Forsyth makes it, but the question I have is there's been some rumblings of
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: trying Nick Gargillio as a center.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I wonder if that could potentially push Alex forcite off.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt it with him coming back from his entry.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I actually think that Alex forcite makes it Gargillio to the practice squad, along with two of these other offensive linemen.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: So to me, would he forcecites?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: Forsyth on the roster at Gargio on the practice squad, and then what other offense, you have Calvin Throck Martin, Michael Deeter, and Gavin Ortega, who haven't seen yet.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: One judge of the free agents at Nash Jones on the free agent from last year who spent the time with, and then Mark East Cox a tackle from last year who was on and off the practice squad.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Mill is also an undrafted tackle.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: So we got Gargulo, Throck Morton can play either side.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think Throck Dart.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then if we're looking at one of the tackles.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's probably Marcus Cox, because he was on the practice squad last year, so just to keep that continuity going.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't seen how to do it.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: Cox was on this was on the practice squad, then off, then back on, and then off, and then I think it's on the future's deal.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Miller, he's that new guy, and he, I mean, he fits that mold of those undrafted tackles.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: Six foot seven, six foot eight, long athletic, moves well.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think Tyler Miller over Marcus Cox personally.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: And that's fine.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, I haven't seen Tyler Miller and what I did see of Marcus Cox.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: I believe he was in the preseason last year.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't great.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm I'm fine with that.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: So that puts us at 25 on offense.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that basically takes out the possibility of caches, but a and Vaughan potentially making it unless we get rid of Sam Ellinger.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see another spot where we can move somebody off the offense there to get some room, but before we get to the defense, we're gonna say hello to some people here in the chat.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: Again, Todd Osdorf, do we get an international player to share that as Jeremy Krasha, that got approved on Tuesday, I think.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: as their international player, at least for the season, and then when, you know, they get down their trim down their roster, the 53, and he makes it as the ponder, they can bring somebody else to get that, to get it as that 17th player on the practice squad.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't take that last year.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: They hadn't, uh, it was a problem.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Moore taught Titan.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think Tyler Moore taught our Travis Moore taught something like that.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: Jeffrey, come in.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great show to it.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Jeff.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: You appreciate that.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_00]: Jettie Splash, who took a little drink, hungry, split some of the team melodies on the project.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's not on the project.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's still on the roster.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: It is their 90 man roster right now.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: We're just projecting the 53 there.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that early on in the season, he'll get his call ups.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: As one of those project squad guys to contribute.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then they'll depending on injury might bring them up.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, really.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: So the drafting of Casey means that pair is an essential exactly.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_02]: So going back to the practice what thing the way that that rule works where you have what is it three I believe practice what colors you can use it before you either have to sign them to the active roster or then release them and then I believe you can bring it back and then use them again because it was at Marseilles Lewis was consistently released from the roster brought back up brought back to practice what they called about.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_02]: Kirby, it was like five or six different weeks at a loan where he was brought back up off of practice squad to be able to play as attached, attached to Thailand as next year off its wineman.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: So not quite.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: So how it works, you have your three things.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then after that, you cannot call them up from the practice squad anymore, unless you sign them to the active roster.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: So the Broncos, the use, I believe they use like one of Mercedes Lewis last year, then they sign them, then an injury, I think the injury to Nate Agncelli, signed it to the roster, then they cut him, brought him back to the practice squad and then activated him, and then another injury, they brought him back up, and then had him, and then like,
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: So once those three are three uses are up, it's not a thing of you have to sign them or release them from the practice squad.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's you just can no longer call them up off the practice squad.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: And on Mondays or Tuesdays, if it's a Monday night game, they revert back automatically to a practice squad player.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's my point here is that's a that's a really fun loophole you can kind of exploit and like to get players Little Jordan Humphrey is going to be that prime example of that this season.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably I mean, that's what they did with Michael Burton two years ago twenty twenty four exactly Throckmoren was used that way, so it's definitely something late in the season.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: Those practice call call ups are for game checks
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: But early on it's typically trying to play with it and then you know injuries are going to happen guys are going to miss some time and then that allows you to work around it some more now moving to the defense so offensively
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: Again, we have 25 players who's offensively, I just put in the special teamers.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we have a competition for the long summer spot, but I'm not given it to Luke Basso, who I didn't, I think was the only guy that didn't actually make the sheet here.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's Mitchell for Brownie, Germany, Croc shot well, but I didn't we didn't need to spend a lot of time.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no defensively, I think, obviously you have your 60 offensive linemen, DJ Jones, Malcolm Roach, who was Rika, Savion Jones, Allen, and Tyler O'Nietam, and six is pretty typical of what they keep with only five active.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think this year, they would work at, look at trying to figure out a way to keep all six of them active, barring injury, and I don't think there's room for another one.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: The question that becomes, who's the practice squad guys?
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: You talk a lot of trash on Jordan Jackson and I appreciate that because you're absolutely correct, but Matt Henningson bring being brought back experienced veteran who's seen a lot of time is actually played and started for the Denver Broncos a handful of years ago, that's That's one that I would keep my eyes on Christian Williams as well as another one that I would probably throw in that conversation.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: Those would probably be the two, unless you want Jordan Jackson to stick around.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I could get the argument for Jordan Jackson to stick around, absolutely.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_02]: The athletic profile is there.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: He just has to be better technically.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: And play with a hell of a lot better strength.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he has the size.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: He has everything you want.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's just so limited as strength-wise and technically that he is consistently going off the football.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: At least Hennessy can hold the point of attack.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: He can too get what you need to do.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think the two would be, and I think this is a chance for three here.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think Hemingson is pretty much done in Denver.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_00]: They, I mean, he was wasn't on the practice quad for a long period of time last year if I recall.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't even on the Broncos roster last year.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: They brought it back after the season.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what I was saying is like he wasn't on the practice squad.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: They they caught him in the cutdowns.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they brought them back late in the season when John Frank to the practice squad when John Frank and Myers got
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then a futures deal afterwards.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think it's my Henningson.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: I could see a conversation for Jordan Miller, who they seem to really like as a developmental nose tackle Christian Williams.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: They like Tim last year and then Jordan Jackson with his experience.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's enough to keep him around.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I think there's of the of the four.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think it has a chance of being out of those three.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I think only two of them make it, but I'm not sure which to Jackson and Miller.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: Jackson being able to play the zero to four.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: If you wanted to, Jordan Millaby, that true nose tackle, like that offers you a little bit more versatility there.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: And Christian Milliams, man, I gotta go back and watch some tape on hand.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a minute since I actually seen him actually play football, so.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_02]: But I just remember that I remember knowing that they really liked Christian Milliams in the time that he saw last season.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Peter coming in and saying, Hemingstein hurt.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: Was that last year that he was hurt?
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: Hold on.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was it.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: That last year was a 200 killie season.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Peter.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: Um, for my name about that.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot that that was the, he towards the killies and the joint practices against the 49ers I believe.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's right.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, um, it is.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: I looked it up.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I remember to beat me to it.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, uh, I was 20, 20.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: I got Peter for reminding that.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: I actually completely forgot that.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think then was injured last year.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: And it is as you also said, this is a very different team than the one that I think then was starting for.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, especially the deeper one.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: And when he was starting, it was very clear practice global play.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, minebacker.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah Ellis, I'm going to throw in with the linebackers because it really seems like it is more than just a rotational thing between edge and linebacker.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like he's going to be more linebacker this year.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I think we have our four.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: Jonah Ellis being a downhill player, Alex singleton, Justin Sonata's cover guy.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think Sonata Ellis will probably might rotate a little bit and then Korean a read as being that special teams linebacker and cover guy.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: between Red Murdoch, Toria North, Jordan Turner, and LaVelle Bailey with, if I can find Todd's question about it earlier, asking if Murdoch or your, and or your make it, what kind of impact can we expect for them?
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, fifth linebacker probably a game day inactive unless they really contribute on special teams.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: So wouldn't expect a lot out of either one of them, whoever it is.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: But Lance, which one of those four do you think has the potential to be that fifth guy?
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: If they even keep five, I mean, if you think they keep four, we can roll with only four.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and see, this is one of those interesting roster math equations that you have to kind of figure out.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you're keeping six down defensive linemen like you do every single year.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's, do you keep five off all linebackers and four edge defenders or do you keep five edge defenders and four off all linebackers?
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: That to me is the proper conversation to have here.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_02]: And going to the edge group here, if you would form a really quick, you've got Jonathan Cooper, Nick Benito, Don Drittillman, Q-Robots.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: Those guys are the four that you're definitely going to keep on to this roster.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: Like that very clearly those are the four guys you're going to get, how does Drew Sanders working to the next probably not very well you've got Garrett Nelson who played sparingly last season it's a guy that I think that you could put on the practice what here as well so to me you've got your four linebackers you got your four edge guys.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: To me, I think that Red Murdoch makes a lot of sense in terms of a downhill attacking line backer who can create fumbles.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: 17 force fumbles in three seasons at the collegiate football.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yes, it's a buffalo lower level competition, but he's shown the ability.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: He's shown the athleticism.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: He's shown the physicality.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's shown a bunch in terms of a developmental player.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: And with the fumbles that you can get throw him on special team.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: See if you can't go
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: Create a turnover for you and put you in plus field position and scoring position right away I think that Murdoch has the best chance out of all of those players to make this roster because of the the turnover Sensibility the second guy that I would shout out here is Level Bailey I got that they had last year on draft of free agent He did play a little bit on the defensive side of football most of his special teams player.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: He was this a practice Did he make the 53 man roster as well?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think that he know who was it was one of it was a career.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: It was really okay.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you
- 37:59[SPEAKER_02]: but Levelle Bailey was that primary practice squad guy that they had and he got to see a little bit of time late last season as well.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: So to me, I would go red and Murdock is the fifth off-ball linebacker and we're not touching that edge room.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: You've got your four guys and just keep that room the way that it is.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: You add some special teams' versatility with another linebacker with developmental upside and the special teams' versatility as well.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for the edges, I'm with you.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's only the four, and then being able to rotate John Ellis over there, on occasionally.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: Gert Nelson and Johnny Walker, I think have the best shot at it.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised at all with Juice Anderson if he gets cut before training can't be even starts.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as for linebacker, I think the fifth guy if they keep it as Jordan Turner.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: Interested.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: He played really well against the couple bills.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: Special themes late in my season.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, he is of all the linebackers that we have on there, like peer linebackers, not counting journals, he's the only real true stackbacker, the one who can take on blocks well and do that.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm between Murdoch and Turner for that spot with the other one making the practice squad with one of York or Bailey.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Give me Murdoch, I want to turn over upside that that's the way that I would go with it as I would put a touring York on the practice squad, give me Red Murdoch and Jordan Turner makes it as well.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: One thing with with Colleal Red Murdoch is that.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: An ankle injury that we should be getting to know more about in next month in June since it is now made.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_00]: is part of what caused them to fall.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_00]: So it could be, you know, by the time we get to rush the cut-downs, we get that clear clarification about the ankle injury and all that, that, you know, it's rare for players to get claim-down flavors, especially rookies.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's only like, it's like 5% of the less than 5% of the cuts, actually get claim-down waivers at the cut-down, and like less than 1%.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost, it's like 0.05% or something like that of them are actually rookies.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: So it seems unlikely, but he's a high upside player with set that for 17 force fumbles and three years.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't as a master of the peanut punch.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: So if he gets clearing medical, it's a possibility.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: We have Cody Debbie saying talk with the $2 subject.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Cody, for that.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: We appreciate you.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: So it's talks about Mercedes-Benz.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we really relive a nightmare.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, why?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: He came in and was the best blocker on the team.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: Bar wasn't very high, but he was.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, someone has to be the best and somebody has to be the worse.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: And that's how it always goes, though.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: There's always going to be the worst player on the roster.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's a 50.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: He might be the 53rd player on an NFL roster, but he's the worst player on the roster.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: And if that is Mar Sadie's Lewis who is the best blocking tight end that you have, there's a conversation to have about that.
- 40:54[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then Peter Miller to come in and say Turner and Murdoch not read read is the only other cover guy that they have at the line back in a position what he was able to show in coverage during practices in training camp in the preseason that helped him get to the practice or to the roster last year as well as special teams.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: Turner can help on special teams a little bit Murdoch is kind of a little bit of an unknown there.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: and Murdoch isn't a cover guy, Turner is not a cover guy.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: So it's still not in lead as you're two primary cover line backers.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: So if you lose, they're not, then you kind of got to turn to somebody.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's Reed.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Reed, I don't think is a lock.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody came in and said, as if we think he's a lock.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's a lock to make it per se.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I think he's pretty dang close to it.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but you touched on it with Reed, but I want to I want to get back to Red Murdoch here, sideline to sideline in in terms of C ball chase ball.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: He has every every bit of athleticism that you want and he's got he's a little bit undersized in terms of his weight and I don't know as our measurements like what what's the length look like with him?
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like it didn't seem like it was a huge issue.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: can he develop that's that's a big thing here is can he develop as a coverage player he's definitely got the athleticism to play in that and he can move backwards well enough it's not a strongest suit but if you can develop in terms of just understanding the coverage dynamics and like playing within that role is that a player that you can develop in terms of being another coverage linebacker at the that's the NFL level and again go before you get to this going back to the consensus board like we talked about
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: The consensus board Red Murdoch was like a late force early fifth round pick if I remember correctly.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: He felt all the way to Mr.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: Relevant.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: Again, talking about injury, scheme fit, versatility, the team fit, how he fits locker rooms, why not?
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's a player that a lot of consensus board guys like you and me building our big boards.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_02]: They liked him a lot more than Mr.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: Relevant picked number 257.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then one fact I already shared that his actual name is Khalil.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: Is he a dare devil fan it has to be a dare devil thing.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man He was born with red hair and freckles, so he was called big red and then you just got shot under red I love it.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome So corner So moving on to corner here Obviously I'm going to move the guys over McMillan, Surtan Maw, spare and
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: Per save them drain that seems pretty pretty much set there barring a trade of course and again we're not projecting trades here.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: So the question then becomes it do they keep a six one and this is where the roster math kind of comes into play and where somebody like should a buried also can come into play with his versatility a little bit of being able to play multiple spots.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: Does it allow them to go a little bit shorter on the safety side of it, and then go heavy like only four safety and six corners in which case, then are we talking, Restaler or Jane Robinson, do one of those undrafted free agents make it, I doubt it, but it's a conversation there, I do know that they like Restaler and Jane Robinson, if they don't make the roster, I'd expect them both back on the practice squad at this point.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: So you have that conversation which should A-Baren's versatility, do you go 5 and 5?
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: Do you go 6 and 4?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like what is the math there between your defense and backs?
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's 5 and 5.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: You get a certain mass, which is quantum with millions.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's your starting 3.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: Jada Baren is that that 50 offensive back, if you really want to run out in that throw another, or your dimebacker, Chris Aben's reign is a, a,
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: replacement on the outside of your your depth corner back there as well.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: And then you get your starting to safety's Brennan Jones, Talonohu Funga, Devon Key, who's your primary special teams got in all pro special teams player, Tyson Anderson, who is also a high quality special team player.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's four.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: And then Jail Skinner, who also plays very like high quality special teams role.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: He's also a guy that can play down on the box if you want to throw in a dimebacker as well.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody goes down with
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: injury.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: To me, it's five and five, and then Reese Taylor and Jane Robinson, like you said, are on the practice squad.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: This might be the easiest position group to really parse this conversation out.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get your five starters, your five cornerbacks.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get five safety on this roster.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: Tyson Anderson being one of the true first
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: free agent pieces that they brought in.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: They wanted to get better at the safety position, and especially on special teams, Tyson Anderson is a quality special team's player.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: Two starters, Devon Key, another special team's player, Jail Skinner's rotational guy, like it's almost too easy at this point to project like this.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, last year and I believe the year before it was five and five, five corners, five safety's has pretty typical what they like to do, but before I get into some if we have nosh coming in with the finish, what's up, what's up, Nosh, say and hey, brothers, Ben too long dropping by to show us some love, awesome assessment of our upcoming championship squad.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: Go, Broncos, definitely thank you so much, Nosh, for jumping.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: We appreciate you.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you are doing well.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: Hope you enjoyed the draft.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: As you said, it's been a long time
- 46:17[SPEAKER_00]: Feel free to drop a comment about what you thought about the draft class.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: Not sure.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would hear what you think.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, dude.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_02]: So Eric and I, when we were closing out the show, got a little emotional there, but closing out the show, I asked Carl as well how we would grade this draft class.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when you, when you look at just the picks that the Broncos made, it looked like just a solid BB plus.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: But then you throw in the factor of the Broncos trading to 30th overall, take to go with Jalen Wattel.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's your 30th overall pick.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's your first round pick is Jalen Wattle.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: And sure, this season he's cost effective, still in 28 years old, high upside player, obviously we know what he is.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of the better wide receivers in the NFL.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: You add that to a roster who desperately needed a bunch of use on it.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_02]: And that to me rounds this out to an A to an A plus.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_02]: like you hit every need that you needed to have you added a high quality interior defensive alignment to add to that rotation.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_02]: Why things going to step in as a starter immediately?
- 47:15[SPEAKER_02]: Again, guys, milehighhuttle.com.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: I have a film piece on Tyler on yet.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm already up there.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: Just posted on Monday.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_02]: Go check that out.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: Find out what I saw on him.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: This film piece is really fun because I went back to his time at Iowa State and then also tied in his time at Texas A&M to show how he grew as a player through the schemes and the scheme changes.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's really, really fun.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: Go check that out.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: But then you get Jonah Coleman to fill out the running back room.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: Get a couple a couple of tight ends just to jolly down on Bentley's red Murdoch at the end of the class.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's a fun class.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: I really like it.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: So, no, drop it in there, buddy.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: Let us know what you think, man.
- 47:53[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then, again, with corners, I don't think there's any conversation at the only conversation with corners, do they find some way to keep a sex?
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: Do and part of that is do Reest Halo or Jane Robinson show an up and in can and training camp and in preseason games to kind of force it safety.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: I do think there is a slight conversation of Skinner and Scott.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think I do give the edge to Skinner because he's that bigger dime safety player that can feel bill and for who Ponga we have some people coming in asking about Scott drew what about a rookie safety Peter Milton Scott gets a roll right.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: This year, no, special teams.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's only been a safety for three years.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's still very much developing how to be a safety.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's got great ball skills, but barring injury.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not expecting him to make this roster.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: He seems an investment for the future in two, three years down the road with continued development, growing as the safety growing into the new position to him.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_00]: He was recruited to Illinois as a wide receiver, along with Pat Bryant.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_00]: They were in the wide receiver room together there early on.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: So just not expecting it.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: It is a tough room to crack.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: He would absolutely have to go out there and be nails on special teams to possibly beat out Skinner or Tyson Anderson.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: And Devon Key, he steps up in that third safety role and what the Broncos have done over the last few years is that third safety doesn't play a lot of special teams play.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_00]: Even though Devon Key was an all-pro special teams play last year,
- 49:15[SPEAKER_00]: He may not be playing special teams this year.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: That might be, that's probably part of the reason why hey, we brought in Tyson Anderson, who was a really good special teams player for the Bengals.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: Defense of defense was an issue for him, but he played well on special teams.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_00]: So not see in a way for Miles Scott to make this roster on it by do you think he is
- 49:34[SPEAKER_00]: All but guaranteed a spot on the practice squad as a development player.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: Think of it similarly to Caleb Loaner last year, even though Mouska has a lot more steps played, he's very new to his position still learning, still developing, still growing, a guy that want to get into work with.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: And you mentioned it just briefly there.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's got really good ball skills because when he first showed up, I believe, is it Tennessee, his freshman year, he was a wide receiver.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: He'd never played the safety position.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: Then he transitioned over to the safety position.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: And then became a high quality player for those guys.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like he does have the ball skills.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: He's got range too.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's a high quality coverage player in Miles Scott.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_02]: he's just still so young.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_02]: And to me, I think that the one conversation you can have here as jail scanner who I believe is on the last year of his rookie deal.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, like, nothing that rookie deals a big deal, but if you want to save, you know, $125,000 to get miles gotten here, you can absolutely do that.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: But I think that, like I've already said, practice squad player for sure, and then here in a couple of years, you're not keeping Jail's camera after his rookie contract.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna be an unrestricted free agent that they're gonna let him walk more than likely.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not particularly future here, but this is my opinion.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_02]: Miles Scott's that guy that's going to fill in for jail scanner and he's also going to play a different role.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think Tyson Anderson and jail scanner can play that similar style of role.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_02]: So if you wanted to keep Tyson Anderson who you brought in again, is that loan unrestricted free agent signing that they brought in this offseason.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_02]: The one that's like, we don't even know who this guy is.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's going to be a special teams player box safety.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_02]: Fale Skinner plays that same type of role.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to get more range on the back end, you could cut Jale Skinner, bring in myile Scott.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: That could be the conversation here, but that's really the only player that I see myile Scott up setting to be that, he would be player 53 on the roster.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one thing he was a preferred walk on at Illinois.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't go to Tennessee.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_00]: He was part of the same recruiting class as why do you have that thing?
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: My bad.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: I said Tennessee.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: I saw Orange in like the flashbacks of your head.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_02]: My fault, I apologize.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: We had Mark Carmonelli coming in, Carmonelli.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, saying log step so far, guys.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: Great show.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for jumping in.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's like Shilu, Shilu coming in.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_00]: Good evening, everyone.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: Hello to you.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: Hello to Michael.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: Hello to you.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe I missed you coming in, rock, um, apologize for that.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, Nosh, coming in.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: Nosh did add a comment about it, saying, I think the great thing about this draft is the team is strong enough to give these young men a real chance of developing into solid players.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of what that's something they look for.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_00]: And it shouldn't have been in surprise to everybody.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_00]: They were up front about it.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: One of the first things they said about the draft of their combat pressures, three year window.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what this class is.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of what this reflects on.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think really the only two that are going to have a
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty big impact barring injury this year, our own yettum because of his early down run defense capabilities and raising the floor there and possibly even getting the start and rotating with saviour on drones and then join the culminant.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think is poised for a pretty sizable role in that running back room on the rest are we're going to let you develop we're going to see you here with cage gacy and Jess and Julie.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_00]: and to probably a special teamer who can work as way up as they've done with PJ Locke and Devon Key.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_00]: So that's kind of how it is.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's messy on it on the screen right now with how it is, which is because it's a size to make sure you guys can see it.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: But we have 25 offensive players.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_00]: We have, let's see here.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_00]: I got to do a quick math here.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: 11, 20, 20, 25, so 25 on offense, 25 on defense, and then the three special teamers.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then, of course, we have all of our practice squad candidates who only 16 of them are going to make it.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them, but I think we could probably take out.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_00]: We could probably, you know, limit, look as cruel from that conversation.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: One of Tyler Badear or Duce Vaughan probably only limited down to,
- 53:36[SPEAKER_00]: take out Parker Robinson and only one of the three corners in a Mari RB front Austin and William Wright.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: All three of them have that inside outside versatility.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: So it's all a posh thing there.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_00]: Peter Milton coming in and asking who is the most positive surprise of the rookie this year.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think the most positive surprise just in relation to the fan opinion of him is going to be Tyler on the item.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to come in and surprise a lot of people
- 54:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go in a different direction here and you mentioned that Tyler on the Adam, I agree with you, is going to have a big role especially on first and second down as a run defender.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, Joe and Nicole is going to have a big role in the running back room.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think the biggest, the most positive surprise and the player that's going to surprise everybody the most is just a jolly.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_02]: because that receiving versatility that he has, the willingness as a blocker, and with Evan Ingram, the last year was not good with him.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_02]: It was not nearly to the expectation.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's on the wrong side of 30, and it may not be, you know, 45 to 50 targets for Justin Jolie, but I think that when he does get opportunities, and I think he's going to, I think he's going to get several opportunities to catch passes at the second level from Bownex, specifically over the middle of the
- 54:52[SPEAKER_02]: When he does get those opportunities, I think people are really going to open their eyes to the steel that they got with just a jolly at what 158 I believe is when they took him something like that that I know they traded up to go and get him.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_02]: That to me is the guy that you really need to watch out for on this offense because he fits exactly what the the Evan anger role is he's a younger player with more upside and like.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_02]: He fits, he fits so, so incredibly well with what not only Sean Payett, we don't know what Davis Web is going to be in terms of a playcaller, but when when when when you factor in the age of evidence from the fact that he's you know, slowing down their similar style of players, jolly is going to come out and surprise some people in a big time way.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's my big bold
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: Call it 20 to 25 catches for probably 400 yards and give them a like a handful of touchdowns because I think that they could use them as a red zone threat as well like that's the player to be that everyone needs to keep their eyes out for.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we have our Butler Cummins and Eric and Lance is a real good assessment of a roster.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think we'll have some really good players on the practice.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_00]: God hopefully we can keep them 100% agree.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_00]: Nage Cummins and Alexey Lee from guys like Skinner, Baron, Ingram, Savion Jones.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: Also definitely especially Baron and Jones.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_00]: And even he Robinson, like all those rookies from last year, you want to see that next step from them.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: Even Caleb Loaner, you kind of want to see that, you know, the year that they put into him was in a way.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to see that growth and development from him.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: and to our hopefully he can be some kind of some part of the equation when we get to 2027 because again 50 sometimes I'm not expecting it this year but maybe year for now but that is going to have to do it for us I will be back life tomorrow morning 12 or noon mountain time with the trickles on I'll be going more into the conversation about the Broncos draft against the consensus board in the history there so if you guys tune in for that you do have to be a member over on YouTube

- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, that hour flew by and it felt like 20 minutes.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_02]: That was a really fun conversation.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like four hours to me because I have sushi waiting for me.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: Fair enough.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_02]: Fair enough.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_02]: I made a country style ribs for dinner last night, so I'm even left over to that.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_02]: But, no, it...
- 59:33[SPEAKER_02]: This conversation is always fun.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: Going through the roster, breaking it down, trying to project a 53-man roster.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_02]: This early, it's always a fun conversation.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just kind of take that mile-high view.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_02]: Again, get back away from it, look at everybody, kind of figure out how the roster was last season, what the new additions are, everything like that.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_02]: It's always fun to have this conversation.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_02]: So to have it go by as quickly as it did,
- 59:55[SPEAKER_02]: Great chats and I, guys, thank you all for joining us.
