  All right, so there's a atheist out there who nowadays it's not
• 5:44
  done as much, but it used to be done all the time where atheists
• 5:50
  were convinced that they were the moral population of America
• 5:54
  and the world. They would say things like, hey,
• 5:57
  Brett, explain this. If atheists are so bad and
• 6:02
  Christians are so good, then why is there so many Christians in
• 6:05
  prison? They apparently had never heard
• 6:08
  of a term called Jailhouse Jesus.

  I found out about this term by doing some research and also
• 6:15
  talking to a friend of mine by the name of Kent Hovind.
• 6:18
  Kent Hovind is a minister who sends creation resources to
• 6:26
  prisons and basically gives it out freely to prisoners who just
• 6:31
  so happen to be non believers and atheists.
• 6:34
  One of the most popular famous noted atheists that was in
• 6:38
  prison that he sent information to and his ministry actually
• 6:43
  talked to was a atheist serial killer, one of the most famous
• 6:48
  of all times, a cannibal by the name of Jeffrey Dahmer.
• 6:53
  Jeffrey Dahmer was a horrible person.
• 6:55
  He was caught with body parts in his refrigerator and ended up
• 7:01
  getting taken off and incarcerated.
• 7:04
  Well, while Jeffrey Dahmer was in prison, he realized that he
• 7:09
  was in serious trouble. There were people that wanted to
• 7:11
  kill him. There were people that were want
• 7:13
  to make a name for themselves and take him out in his life.
• 7:18
  So at some point in time, after talking to his father who was a
• 7:22
  Christian, he came up with this idea that hey, maybe there is
• 7:28
  something to this God thing, maybe there is something to it.
• 7:33
  And instead of being thrown out in the main population and being
• 7:37
  destroyed by the other prisoners and cell mates, they would allow
• 7:41
  him the opportunity to go into community meetings and all this
• 7:47
  where he would be able to be a part of Christianity, basically
• 7:51
  prison church. And he would allow people to
• 7:55
  come in and minister with him. And he got to the point where he
• 7:58
  rejected evolution. He rejected a lot of claims by
• 8:02
  science. He rejected a lot of the lies
• 8:05
  that our government tells. And he claimed in interviews
• 8:09
  right before he died, he was murdered in prison.
• 8:13
  But he claimed repeatedly that he had found Jesus, that he
• 8:17
  accepted God into his heart. Now, whether you believe this is
• 8:21
  true or not, whether you believe Jeffrey Dahmer was actually a
• 8:24
  Christian doesn't really matter for any Christians and atheists
• 8:27
  who might argue against us. What matters is that because he
• 8:32
  declared himself a Christian, the prisons and warden were
• 8:36
  forced to actually put that on his records and paperwork, that
• 8:40
  he was a part of the churches in prison, that he listened to the
• 8:44
  ministers, and that he proclaimed himself a Christian.
• 8:48
  This was all written down and recorded, although his entire
• 8:53
  life he stated that he was an atheist.
• 8:57
  So what is the point of that, ladies and gentlemen?
• 8:59
  Well, obviously Jeffrey Dahmer wasn't the only one.
• 9:02
  There's been many famous atheists who found themselves in
• 9:05
  prison. I'll give you an example of
• 9:07
  another one, Madeline O'Hara. Madeline O'Hara was a leader of
• 9:13
  the 8 American Atheist Foundation where she spoke out
• 9:19
  against God and religion and all this.
• 9:21
  Well, she didn't end up in prison, but the atheist that
• 9:25
  murdered her dead. Apparently there was some issue
• 9:29
  over some money in accounting, and there was an atheist who got
• 9:32
  caught by the other atheist stealing money from the
• 9:35
  organization. Well, the guy didn't want to go
• 9:38
  to prison, he didn't want to have to go to court over this,
• 9:41
  so he decided he might as well get rid of all the atheists
• 9:45
  involved, and he started with Madeline O'Hara and her entire
• 9:49
  family. He went in, he kidnapped her as
• 9:53
  well as her daughters and sons. Only one son survived because
• 9:58
  miraculously she had kicked him out of the home after abusing
• 10:02
  him, and he was staying with other family members.
• 10:06
  Had he not been kicked out, had he not been abused, he would
• 10:10
  have probably also had the same fate as his mother and his
• 10:13
  siblings. They were taken out to a farm
• 10:17
  area, a ranch, cut into pieces, and then buried all over the
• 10:22
  grounds and took the FBI and CSI and all that and forensics.
• 10:28
  A good long time to be able to find all the body parts and to
• 10:32
  this day they weren't able to find them all.
• 10:35
  This guy did a really, really good job at tearing this family
• 10:39
  to pieces that just so happened to be atheist.
• 10:43
  Well, that guy ended up getting put in a cage out of the sleigh,
• 10:47
  and that was that. And Madeline O'Hara, even though
• 10:51
  she was considered one of the most popular atheist of all
• 10:53
  times, the son that survived, guess what?
• 10:57
  He's now one of the greatest ministers of Christianity that
• 11:01
  ever existed. All the atheists in that
• 11:04
  organization were absolutely destroyed, but one came out as a
• 11:09
  warrior of Christ. I'll give you some other
• 11:15
  examples and we'll talk more about Jailhouse Jesus.

  Justin Brooke, a self-described atheist who converted to
• 11:24
  Christianity in 2019, at the researching to disprove
• 11:28
  Christianity. While not explicitly stating as
• 11:31
  occurring in prison, his study intensified during a period of
• 11:35
  personal crisis, which can mirror the introspective
• 11:38
  environment of incarceration. He cites evidence like human DNA
• 11:43
  and Dead Sea Scrolls as pivotal in his conversion.
• 11:47
  Chuck Coyson, founder of Prison Fellowship Coulson was an
• 11:51
  atheist and political operative before his 1973 conversion to
• 11:56
  Christianity following his Watergate related imprisonment.

  His experience led to a lifelong commitment to prison ministry,
• 12:05
  influencing many inmates towards Christianity.
• 12:09
  If you guys go look at the statistics of this, you're going
• 12:13
  to see that a majority of atheists who go to prison, they
• 12:16
  end up becoming Christians and I'll explain why.
• 12:20
  I'll give you all the different reasons why it is that atheists
• 12:24
  tend to gravitate towards Christianity while they're
• 12:27
  incarcerated. In prison.
• 12:30
  However, there is a small amount of atheist out there who've been
• 12:35
  arrested and they're about to be incarcerated.
• 12:37
  Like Isaac Keys, a young atheist man in his 20s who decided to go
• 12:43
  around the gas stations and he would rape and murder gas
• 12:49
  station attendants women. He would rape them and then he
• 12:53
  would chop them up into pieces and then basically throw their
• 12:56
  body parts in the dumpster and take off.
• 12:59
  Isaac Keys was caught. He was interrogated and he knew
• 13:03
  that he was in serious trouble. Like quite a few atheists,
• 13:07
  ladies and gentlemen, he knew that he wouldn't survive in
• 13:09
  prison, so he decided to end his own life.
• 13:14
  He took his life instead of dealing with the consequences
• 13:17
  and being held accountable and responsible.
• 13:20
  He is currently now in hell. Now ladies and gentlemen, let's
• 13:25
  talk about the reasons why atheists find this gravitation
• 13:30
  towards Christianity while locked up and why it is there's
• 13:35
  so many Christians in prison. I think you guys are starting to
• 13:39
  smell what the rock is cooking. Existential crisis and
• 13:44
  reflection Prison often prompts deep introspection.
• 13:48
  Atheist facing isolation, our guilt may reconsider their world
• 13:53
  view. For example, Jana Harmon's
• 13:56
  research on fifty former atheists found that personal
• 13:59
  crisis and exposure to authentic Christian behavior kindness from
• 14:04
  Christian inmates. Our chaplains were key catalysts
• 14:09
  and their conversions. Influence of Christian community
• 14:13
  Prison chaplains report that 73% of state prison chaplains
• 14:18
  observe inmates attempting to convert others, with Protestant
• 14:22
  Christianity seeing notable growth.
• 14:25
  The presence of Christian programs like Bible studies or
• 14:28
  ministries can influence atheists searching for meaning.
• 14:34
  Harman's study notes that 82% of atheists converts Converts were
• 14:40
  positively influenced by Christians, often through
• 14:43
  observing their peace or moral behavior.
• 14:46
  Prison's harsh environment can make Christianity's promise of
• 14:50
  redemption and purpose very appealing.
• 14:54
  Social incentive. Some atheists may convert for
• 14:57
  practical reasons, like gaining favor with the parole boards or
• 15:02
  access to religious programs. Though genuine belief often
• 15:07
  develops later, the Jailhouse Jesus phenomenon suggests
• 15:11
  conversions may stem from a mix of genuine spiritual awakening
• 15:16
  and pragmatic motives. What they mean by pragmatic is
• 15:20
  some atheists realize that if you call yourself a Christian
• 15:24
  and claim that your life has been transformed and changed,
• 15:27
  you got better chances of being released one day and maybe
• 15:31
  getting out whenever your parole comes around.
• 15:34
  So an atheist could technically lie and say that they became
• 15:38
  Christian in order to be able to have that as a mark for them to
• 15:44
  get out. Intellectual engagement.

  Some atheists like Jim Thring, who reconverted to Christianity
• 15:52
  after a period of atheism, was swayed by apologetics.
• 15:56

  exploring such materials. See, one of the problems we have

  in society, ladies and gentlemen, is that a lot of you,
• 16:08
  you work it to the bone, don't you?

  You go to work, you're working all day long, you're tired when
• 16:14
  you get home, barely enough time to hang out with your family,
• 16:17
  and you constantly have distractions in front of you.

  You don't have time to do a lot of research and self exploration
• 16:26
  or internal thinking, do you? You're constantly thinking about
• 16:30
  how to deal with people on the highway when you're dealing with
• 16:33
  traffic. You're constantly thinking about
• 16:36
  how to improve your circumstances while working and
• 16:39
  also trying to please and keep your family happy while
• 16:43
  surviving in this world. Well, a lot of those
• 16:47
  distractions go away almost immediately once you are
• 16:50
  incarcerated. You go to prison and you sit in
• 16:53
  a 4 by 4 cell and all you've got is your mind and your
• 16:57
  consciousness. You have no stimuli, nothing to
• 17:01
  be able to move you, and the only thing you're allowed to
• 17:04
  have, ladies and gentlemen, is maybe some free time where you
• 17:07
  get to go into a library, read books, play on the computer, or
• 17:12
  you get to be a part of communities where you can hang
• 17:15
  out with Christians and listen to preaching and read your Bible
• 17:19
  with other people and fellowship.
• 17:22
  And of course, there's also the protection part.
• 17:26
  If you are isolated and you are by yourself in prison, you're
• 17:31
  most likely going to realize that you're going to need
• 17:34
  friends. You're going to need people who
• 17:36
  watch your back. So you have a choice, don't you?
• 17:40
  Let's use logic and rationality with this.
• 17:43
  You're alone. Someone has been threatening at
• 17:46
  the lunchtime that they want to make you into their little
• 17:50
  girlfriend. They want to trade you for a
• 17:52
  pack of Camel cigarettes. Now you have a choice.
• 17:56
  You can either become a part of that group and become their
• 18:00
  bitch for as long as you are in prison, or the other option is
• 18:06
  is that you find some of the biggest guys that you have ever
• 18:09
  witnessed in your life and try to become a part of their buddy.
• 18:13
  Now here's your choice as your options.
• 18:15
  You got Nazis, you got Aryans, you've got Mexicans and Latinos.
• 18:21
  But they usually like to stick with their own.
• 18:23
  If you're Caucasian, you might as well give up on that right
• 18:26
  away. There's the black community in
• 18:28
  prison. Everybody's got their own
• 18:31
  segregation. The blacks are most likely not
• 18:34
  going to like you unless you do them favors as well as the
• 18:37
  Latinos. But you're new to this, so
• 18:41
  you're not a very strong person. You can't do the kind of favors
• 18:45
  that they're going to ask of you.
• 18:48
  And it goes on and on and on. The different groups and
• 18:50
  communities, the one that's going to be the easiest for you
• 18:55
  to be accepted in will be Christianity, because the
• 18:59
  Christians accept everybody. They take everybody.
• 19:02
  And then of course, as you're fellowshipping, you will know
• 19:05
  that they will consider you a brother or a sister, depending
• 19:08
  on if it's a woman's prison, and they'll protect you, or at least
• 19:13
  they'll try. So now all of a sudden you have
• 19:17
  an entire community on your side, the community that loves
• 19:20
  you and cares about you. Now, when you stand in front of
• 19:23
  the parole board, you can say, yes, I've changed my life for
• 19:26
  the better. I've done things with my life.
• 19:29
  I've participated in positive things while being in prison,
• 19:33
  and my sentence should be lessened.
• 19:36
  You see, ladies and gentlemen, this is what they call Jailhouse
• 19:40
  Jesus. And between dealing with the
• 19:43
  community chaplain and the church, they also get to hang
• 19:47
  out and spend hours with chaplains and preachers and
• 19:51
  ministers who for whatever reason, have come in and decided
• 19:55
  to minister to them about God. Every minute that you're hanging
• 19:59
  out with a preacher in an isolated room, every minute that
• 20:03
  you're hanging out with a priest, is a minute that you're
• 20:05
  not out in the main population with a bunch of people who want
• 20:08
  to rape and murder you. So you can see the appeal,
• 20:12
  right? Physically Christianity is good
• 20:16
  for you, and mentally and emotionally Christianity is
• 20:18
  better for you. And it is the ultimate
• 20:21
  protection. Of course it is.
• 20:23
  So when God's got your back, only by His will could anything
• 20:29
  get to you. He will put the protection on
• 20:33
  you and He will remove it if he feels it's necessary.
• 20:41
  So the next time you run into an atheist and they say, well, if
• 20:46
  Christians are so good and atheists are so bad, then why is
• 20:51
  it that there's so many Christians in the present
• 20:55
  system? Because not only are atheists
• 20:58
  being converted over to Christianity, but there's
• 21:01
  Muslims and other groups of people who might be agnostic are
• 21:05
  people who do not have Christianity when they go in.
• 21:09
  That's if they don't end their own lives before they even get
• 21:12
  there like Isaac Keys did. That's why.
• 21:16
  And that's proven according to stats, over 85 to 92% of
• 21:22
  atheists who go to prison turn into Christians.
• 21:25
  And you know what that number means, the math equals out to a
• 21:29
  majority of atheists turn. They change, they convert once
• 21:34
  they're put in that circumstance.

  That's why a majority of people in prison become Christian
• 21:44
