- 0:00Speaker 1: For now more of the Mark Simone Show on seven
- 0:03Speaker 1: to ten wor filling in from Mark here again? Is
- 0:07Speaker 1: Ken Rosatto ever? Good to be with you on Halloween Friday.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Let's go right to our busy phones. Carlo in Queens,
- 0:13Speaker 1: you're on the air. Good morning to.
- 0:15Speaker 2: You, Yes, sir, good morning. As for this socialist Mondami
- 0:19Speaker 2: character who's running for Maya, I might point out that
- 0:23Speaker 2: in the nineteen twenties into the early thirties, Hitler described
- 0:26Speaker 2: himself as a Democrat socialist candidate to run Germany, and
- 0:32Speaker 2: after World War Two the city of Berlin broke up
- 0:36Speaker 2: into two parts. East Berlin described itself as a socialist state,
- 0:43Speaker 2: a democratic socialist state, supported by the Russians, of course,
- 0:47Speaker 2: and their economy by nineteen fifty crash, losing a third
- 0:50Speaker 2: of its value. What are we to expect from Mundami?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Well, you know, it just comes down to everything that
- 0:56Speaker 1: he is promising is not possible. It's just not possible.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But here's the frightening thing. Carlo and I talked about
- 1:04Speaker 1: this earlier. A recent poll showed sixty nine percent of
- 1:10Speaker 1: all adults of all people in New York City age
- 1:14Speaker 1: fifty and under, you hear me, fifth not twenty and under,
- 1:18Speaker 1: not twenty five and under, fifty and under nearly seven
- 1:22Speaker 1: and ten support mom, Donnie, do you hear that number?
- 1:25Speaker 1: So where the hell are forty nine year olds who
- 1:28Speaker 1: are so ignorant that they think socialism will work here
- 1:32Speaker 1: and that it as if it worked anywhere else on
- 1:34Speaker 1: the planet. Who are these people and where are they from?
- 1:38Speaker 1: And what kind of education did they have? That's what
- 1:41Speaker 1: really gets me. What are we paying for? Are we
- 1:44Speaker 1: paying to literally have socialists in teaching positions, in doctrinating
- 1:49Speaker 1: kids in the city, because that's what it's yours hell
- 1:50Speaker 1: looks like.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Jill McCarthy in the fifties wasn't wrong when he said
- 1:55Speaker 2: that the socialist communists are trying to take over america'e
- 1:58Speaker 2: still going on.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That sure is, as it has been proven. And you
- 2:02Speaker 1: look at every major city in America. You know, you
- 2:06Speaker 1: talk about God forbid if there was ever another civil
- 2:10Speaker 1: war like we had in eighteen sixty, God forbid that
- 2:12Speaker 1: ever should happen. But this time out, if it did
- 2:15Speaker 1: ever happen, it wouldn't be North versus South. It looks
- 2:17Speaker 1: like it would be the urban centers, the cities versus
- 2:20Speaker 1: everything outside of the cities, because if you look, all
- 2:23Speaker 1: the cities seem to be of the same mindset, very
- 2:26Speaker 1: far to the left. But it's getting even more extreme
- 2:29Speaker 1: than ever before. I've never seen this kind of disparity
- 2:32Speaker 1: between left and right. It's if the person comes from
- 2:34Speaker 1: a larger city, they are of one political ILK, and
- 2:37Speaker 1: if they come from suburbia or real rural areas, they
- 2:40Speaker 1: are a totally different political ILK. It's just amazing.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Thank God for Trump. That's all I could say.
- 2:45Speaker 1: All right, Carlo from Queens, I appreciate the call. You
- 2:47Speaker 1: have a wonderful day. Let's say, John in New Jersey, good.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Morning, Good morning Ken, How are you good sir? Either way,
- 2:54Speaker 3: the residents of New York City are going to be screwed.
- 2:57Speaker 3: It's if either it's Clomo or or Modami, they'd doom
- 3:03Speaker 3: because he was never a good governor. And of course
- 3:06Speaker 3: we know Modami is nothing more than a pure communist. Yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 3: so to say anything and everything to get to get elected.
- 3:13Speaker 3: He'll promise you utopia and what's going to turn out
- 3:15Speaker 3: is going to be disaster. The people of New York
- 3:17Speaker 3: have got to wake up and pay attention.
- 3:19Speaker 1: They don't, well, you know, I blame my fellow members
- 3:23Speaker 1: of the media, the people here in media whom I
- 3:25Speaker 1: used to work with, the TV stations, they just don't
- 3:29Speaker 1: ask him the tough questions. He's their little pet.
- 3:31Speaker 3: They won't.
- 3:32Speaker 1: No, they won't, they won't. And this is where they fail.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And this, by the way, is why they're dying on
- 3:36Speaker 1: the vine. Ratings wise, they're dead. The broadcast TV stations
- 3:41Speaker 1: literally have thirty percent of the audience that they had
- 3:43Speaker 1: seven years ago. They're gone. No one's watching broadcast TV anymore.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And if you look at all the surveys, with one exception,
- 3:51Speaker 1: since President Trump was elected, Republicans now slightly more trust
- 3:56Speaker 1: national news than they did a year ago because all
- 3:59Speaker 1: you heard was phoning and negativity, fake news, et cetera.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Uh.
- 4:02Speaker 1: But the problem is, as long as you keep taking
- 4:06Speaker 1: sides local media, this is gonna happen, you're gonna lose
- 4:09Speaker 1: your audience. And this is why they are down so
- 4:11Speaker 1: sharply in ratings and they're they're closing up shop. You have,
- 4:14Speaker 1: you have news. I know a couple of news outfits
- 4:16Speaker 1: in the city that will not survive the next three years.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You'll you'll watch you'll see consolidation.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Of newscaps totally agree.
- 4:22Speaker 1: All right, John for New Jersey, I appreciate it.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Get it, get out there and vote for Jack absolutely.
- 4:28Speaker 1: All right, my friend, have a good day. Happy Halloween.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Seven ten w o R. The Voice of New York.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It's Ken Rozotto in for Mark and it is Friday, Halloween,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and just a few we're gonna speak with Republican New
- 4:40Speaker 1: York City Councilwoman Joe Ane Ariola about the race for
- 4:43Speaker 1: mayor and what she thinks, if possible, Mom Donny Merrilty
- 4:46Speaker 1: will mean for New York City.
