- 0:01Speaker 1: Football is back, and this is Believe, your home for
- 0:05Speaker 1: NFL and college football news and analysis all season long. Now,
- 0:10Speaker 1: let's start the show.
- 0:13Speaker 2: So my brother and his family gave us this giant
- 0:16Speaker 2: snack crate filled with snacks from Brazil, Germany, the UK,
- 0:20Speaker 2: and the Caribbean. And we have absolutely no idea what
- 0:23Speaker 2: we're getting into. So tonight, this is a scary statement.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Lo is in charge, which I guarantee was my first mistake.
- 0:31Speaker 2: She's going to hand us some snacks, one at a time.
- 0:33Speaker 2: And before we eat them, we've got to figure out
- 0:36Speaker 2: what they are, what we're looking at, and if they
- 0:39Speaker 2: actually look good. And maybe try to take a guess
- 0:42Speaker 2: on which country they're from. Lo might ruin somebody's day
- 0:46Speaker 2: with a disgusting snack, but at the end of the day,
- 0:48Speaker 2: we'll just blame my brother. How's that sound? Good. Yeah?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 2: And the voices you're hearing, it's not Meg and myself,
- 0:57Speaker 2: who last week were kid-free and Enjoyed herself at the casino? No.
- 1:01Speaker 2: This week we have Avery and Lo joining me and Meg. No, Isla.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Thank goodness.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:10Speaker 2: She's going to hear this and say.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Sissy, that's not very nice. That's okay.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Unbelievable. So we got lots of snacks. I say we
- 1:17Speaker 2: get right into this. Lo, do you have the first snack?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:21Speaker 4: We're going to do Caribbean first because we only have
- 1:26Speaker 4: one from there.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Great. Thank you for ruining the guess of which country
- 1:30Speaker 2: it's from.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 1:33Speaker 2: See, more proof that they don't listen when I talk.
- 1:36Speaker 2: So again, well, either way, there's one from Caribbean. We
- 1:40Speaker 2: know what this is going to be. We'll just try
- 1:41Speaker 2: if it's any good. It's the spice bun, pan de especias.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I won't say anymore.
- 1:46Speaker 2: That's fair. National, you're in charge. I'm just living in
- 1:50Speaker 2: your world, kid.
- 1:50Speaker 4: But I did separate them into countries.
- 1:53Speaker 2: You know we don't. So just pass them around and
- 1:55Speaker 2: we'll try to guess where they're from first. Okay. All right.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So she's going to break up some of this stuff.
- 2:03Speaker 2: It looks disgusting.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it does not look very good.
- 2:07Speaker 2: That might be too big of a chunk for me.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Looking at this, I mean, I was hoping it was
- 2:13Speaker 2: going to be a honey bun. It smells between a
- 2:16Speaker 2: honey bun and some kind of bread. I don't know.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Smells like pumpkin spice.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I'm taking a little bite. How do you guys see it? Caribbean? Caribbean?
- 2:29Speaker 2: How would you say it?
- 2:30Speaker 4: Depends.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I like it.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Depends? That's not the country at all.
- 2:37Speaker 4: It's hard to do when you're thinking about it.
- 2:39Speaker 2: You just say it.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I think I mostly say Caribbean. I think I say Caribbean.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I say Caribbean.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Fair enough. Okay. I don't hate it. I don't love it.
- 2:50Speaker 3: It's disgusting.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I'm not going in for any more.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Kind of like a spice cake.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Good, not great. Hmm. I didn't know what it was
- 2:57Speaker 2: going to taste like. I would not buy that if
- 3:00Speaker 2: I was in the Caribbean. You saw that on the shelf.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Did you guys buy it?
- 3:05Speaker 3: No.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Maybe that's the best thing I have to offer. That
- 3:08Speaker 2: was the one. So what I'm guessing is that was
- 3:11Speaker 2: the only one that my brother and I sent over.
- 3:15Speaker 2: The Caribbean was probably a pretty good snack crate. Leave
- 3:19Speaker 2: us a comment. If you enjoy the snack crates, we
- 3:23Speaker 2: just enjoy the leftovers. We don't have the monies. But
- 3:27Speaker 2: maybe it's something we look into and we start doing
- 3:29Speaker 2: for Stay Out of My Fridge. We'll have to check
- 3:31Speaker 2: out the price point. Or Snack Crate if you're listening.
- 3:34Speaker 2: You want to be a friend of the show? Hey,
- 3:35Speaker 2: slide into the old DMs. Arlo, what is on this?
- 3:41Speaker 3: Skips.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Skips? Like we're skipping it? Skips? Skips and Snips. It's
- 3:50Speaker 2: a light and melty prawn cocktail. So I don't know
- 3:56Speaker 2: if you guys are allowed to have this. It says
- 3:57Speaker 2: cocktail in it. It's been taped up. So that is
- 4:00Speaker 2: definitely not something my brother did. So shout out to
- 4:02Speaker 2: the sister-in-law for putting some tape on there. All right.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I'm going to take one and pass it down. It
- 4:08Speaker 2: almost looks like, I don't know, like a tortilla type thing. Interesting.
- 4:15Speaker 4: All right. They're like little puffs that look like flowers.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Little flower puffs. They're cute. They're cute. They smell okay.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Yeah, they smell. Yeah, they do.
- 4:26Speaker 2: All right, I'm going in. Oh, they're wicked stale.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Just a little bit.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I'm not going to try to hold it against being stale.
- 4:36Speaker 4: They're pretty good, though.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I think they're pretty good. Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Where do we think they're from? Low nose, so we
- 4:41Speaker 2: have to guess. It's either UK, Brazil, or Germany. I'm
- 4:47Speaker 2: going to say Germany.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I was also going to say Germany.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Oh, sure you were.
- 4:51Speaker 4: I was going to go Brazil.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Okay. Lo, where is the prawn cocktail from Skips from?
- 4:57Speaker 4: UK.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Dang.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Really?
- 4:59Speaker 2: I should have went by the name Skips. It doesn't
- 5:02Speaker 2: sound like something from Brazil or Germany.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Huh.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Well, we really messed that one up. But I think
- 5:10Speaker 2: if they weren't as stale, it'd probably be a little
- 5:12Speaker 2: bit more tasty.
- 5:13Speaker 4: I'm kind of liking them. I don't know that they're stale.
- 5:15Speaker 4: I think it's the texture of them. They're like a wafer.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Sure.
- 5:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Well.
- 5:23Speaker 2: We'll go to the next one when Lo finishes up
- 5:25Speaker 2: this bag. All right, what do we got next? We have...
- 5:30Speaker 2: I don't know. Erdnub Locken. I'm going Germany. I'm going
- 5:39Speaker 2: to lock it in before we try it. All right,
- 5:43Speaker 2: and again, these are what the packaging looks like. I'm
- 5:48Speaker 2: not really sure. They remind me of something. Oh, interesting.
- 5:53Speaker 2: There you go. Slide it around. This is what we
- 5:55Speaker 2: got here for a little bit of a snack for
- 5:57Speaker 2: anybody that is watching, for anybody listening. It looks like
- 6:00Speaker 2: some kind of, I don't know, Cheeto, but it's seasoned.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I'm going to go in first. This one has a crunch.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I do not care for this. It almost tastes like
- 6:17Speaker 2: peanut butter.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Tastes like a peanut shell.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I was going to say it tastes like a peanut
- 6:20Speaker 2: in a cracker.
- 6:22Speaker 4: But that does make sense because the packaging has peanuts
- 6:24Speaker 4: on them.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Probably be like a pretty good bar room snack.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'm sticking with Germany, my guess.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Me too.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Me three.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Oh, way to be original. Fine.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I don't hate it. It's from Germany.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah. All right. I'm guessing last from now on so
- 6:43Speaker 2: people can stop copying me.
- 6:44Speaker 4: I actually really like those.
- 6:46Speaker 2: They weren't bad. All right. Next up on the list is...
- 6:53Speaker 2: Pingo de Oro. Pingo de Oro. Pretty sure I said
- 6:58Speaker 2: it wrong. It's got a smiley face on it. So
- 7:02Speaker 2: I'm sure it's going to be fantastic. It's like little circles.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Almost looks like little cereal. Almost looks like a little
- 7:10Speaker 2: cereal snack. Like a... What's the word I'm looking for?
- 7:16Speaker 4: Cheerios.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Cheerios.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Cheerios. Oh, my God. They do not taste like a Cheerios. Oh, boy.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Do I not like that? Nope. Oh, my God. Don't
- 7:26Speaker 2: even do it, Avery. Oh, my God. It tastes like
- 7:31Speaker 2: the smell of burnt tires. It's like a sock. Oh.
- 7:34Speaker 1: No.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Supposed to be bacon flavor.
- 7:36Speaker 4: The burning food.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah. I'd rather eat... You know what it is? I
- 7:40Speaker 2: burnt microwavable bacon on a plastic plate that said it
- 7:43Speaker 2: was microwavable, saved from my family the other day, and
- 7:46Speaker 2: I'd rather eat that bacon that was melted into the
- 7:48Speaker 2: plate than whatever was that garbage that I just had.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I'm going Brazil.
- 7:52Speaker 3: That is horrible.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I'm going Brazil.
- 7:54Speaker 3: I'm going Germany.
- 7:55Speaker 4: I'm going Germany. That is Brazil.
- 8:00Speaker 3: And that is horrible.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Brazil? I always thought I wanted to go there. But
- 8:04Speaker 2: if all your food tastes like this, I'm out. All right. Oh, my.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I cannot get rid of the taste. Give me something
- 8:11Speaker 2: else to put in my mouth. That was one of
- 8:13Speaker 2: the worst things I think I've ever eaten. No, go
- 8:15Speaker 2: to the next one. Don't give me this weird bread
- 8:17Speaker 2: crap from the Caribbean. All right. We're going to Piper's.
- 8:21Speaker 2: All right. Make sure we give somebody at our school
- 8:24Speaker 2: that is named Piper a Piper's. All right. It's an
- 8:28Speaker 2: Atlas Mountain Wild Thyme and Rosemary Crisp. I'm guessing potato chip.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Yep.
- 8:33Speaker 2: This is going to be a potato chip. I already
- 8:35Speaker 2: know where this is from. So I'm not going to
- 8:39Speaker 2: say anymore. Let's try this out. Okay, I like these.
- 8:45Speaker 2: These are pretty good. I think I would buy these.
- 8:50Speaker 4: They smell like something I've had before. They smell like
- 8:53Speaker 4: those crab boil chips I got from Ollie's.
- 8:58Speaker 2: These are good.
- 8:59Speaker 4: They taste like it too.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Very well seasoned.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Like your old bay chips.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Those are good.
- 9:08Speaker 2: A for you.
- 9:09Speaker 3: That's nasty.
- 9:12Speaker 2: You got to broaden your eyes.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Is it thyme?
- 9:14Speaker 4: Is that what you said?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Rosemary and thyme.
- 9:15Speaker 4: That's the rosemary. That's what I can taste.
- 9:17Speaker 3: It smells like Mimi's garden.
- 9:19Speaker 4: It's really good.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Well, she does usually probably have rosemary and thyme. So, yeah. Okay.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Where is your guess? Where are they from? I know
- 9:26Speaker 2: where it is, so I'm going last.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Brazil.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Brazil.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Meg, Lo cannot guess. She knows.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Brazil.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It is from the UK because they called it a crisp,
- 9:37Speaker 2: not a potato chip.
- 9:38Speaker 4: It is from the UK.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I'm so good at this.
- 9:41Speaker 4: I'm really bad.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I'm so well traveled for never leaving. And here we go.
- 9:46Speaker 2: We're on to the next one. Lo, what do we have?
- 9:51Speaker 2: Oh boy, this has a red alien and I am
- 9:54Speaker 2: already scared for my life here. It's called Space Raiders
- 10:01Speaker 2: Beef Flavor Cosmic Corn Snacks. And this is the packaging.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I have a feeling that this is going to be
- 10:09Speaker 2: más terrible. Ooh, that doesn't smell great.
- 10:12Speaker 4: We had something from this brand in a different box.
- 10:16Speaker 2: So the snack itself looks like what they think aliens
- 10:19Speaker 2: look like, like you would see in a movie attacking
- 10:22Speaker 2: a White House. Apparently it's beef flavored snacks.
- 10:25Speaker 4: They smell good. Like a cross between beef ramen packet
- 10:29Speaker 4: and maple, the smell. It's stale.
- 10:32Speaker 2: A little on the stale side. Can't hold against it.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I think it's pretty good, though.
- 10:36Speaker 2: It's not terrible.
- 10:38Speaker 3: It's nasty again.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Your face is hilarious. I wish we had a camera.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I wish we just had an Avery cam. Every time
- 10:45Speaker 2: she bites into it, she looks like she's going to
- 10:46Speaker 2: throw up and she is not going to make it
- 10:48Speaker 2: through this episode.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Those are very stale.
- 10:50Speaker 2: From Northern Rush. Shout out to Northern Rush. If you
- 10:52Speaker 2: guys are in the Augsburg area, stop in, get yourself
- 10:56Speaker 2: a drink. Apparently I have a custom one that is
- 10:59Speaker 2: grape green apple. They got some fall stuff going on.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Shout out Northern Rush. If you guys also want to
- 11:05Speaker 2: give us a little bit of a discount. It is family.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Check them out. Northern Rush. State Street. Augsburg. What do
- 11:12Speaker 2: we got? Oh, we got to guess where that's from.
- 11:15Speaker 4: I'm going Germany.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I'm going... Germany.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Aliens.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I'm going UK.
- 11:27Speaker 4: It's from the UK.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Nailed it. You know why? Because there's a lot of
- 11:30Speaker 2: UFO activity in UK. So you sometimes just have to
- 11:34Speaker 2: use your brains. If anybody's keeping track at home, wow,
- 11:37Speaker 2: this I thought was going to be heavier of a package.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Pretty light. Kind of looks like a cereal. What do
- 11:44Speaker 2: we got here? This is called the French Tiger Canoesperpufres
- 11:51Speaker 2: mit Mayas. Bless you. I don't know what that is. Again,
- 11:56Speaker 2: these are little teeny tiny ones. I'm going to grab
- 11:58Speaker 2: a couple here. We're going to pass it around. Very light.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I'm assuming fruity.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Maybe I'll actually like them.
- 12:05Speaker 2: A little on the stale side. I don't know. A
- 12:11Speaker 2: little fruity taste, not overly fruity. Tasteful?
- 12:15Speaker 4: I think you need, like, a handful. I threw in three.
- 12:17Speaker 2: That's where I'm going at.
- 12:19Speaker 4: They're tasteful if you have a lot.
- 12:21Speaker 2: You shouldn't need a lot. No, I don't want any more.
- 12:25Speaker 4: They kind of taste like plastic, though.
- 12:26Speaker 3: This is all gross.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Sorry it's not a Pop-Tart or poutine.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I don't like these.
- 12:33Speaker 3: It's sour.
- 12:35Speaker 2: That's probably what it means. In whatever language that we're speaking.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I'm going to let somebody else guess. I have a
- 12:43Speaker 2: guess in my brain.
- 12:45Speaker 3: Brazil.
- 12:46Speaker 2: What are you thinking, Meg?
- 12:48Speaker 4: Germany.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Dang, I was leaning towards Germany because of the name
- 12:52Speaker 2: of it, but my brain is maybe thinking it was Portuguese.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I'll just go Germany.
- 12:58Speaker 4: We don't have a Portuguese option.
- 13:01Speaker 2: That's what they speak in Brazil.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Oh.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Educate yourself.
- 13:07Speaker 4: It's Germany. I have a confession.
- 13:10Speaker 2: You what?
- 13:11Speaker 4: I knew that one.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Cheater. Well, you didn't get it wrong for knowing that
- 13:17Speaker 2: would have been awkward, but you confessed.
- 13:19Speaker 4: It's actually a retro snack.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Space Raiders. If Isla was here, we could have her
- 13:25Speaker 2: do a cool little intro song. Oh, what do we
- 13:29Speaker 2: got here? We got a little... Cookie something. Looks like
- 13:34Speaker 2: no packaging. Looks like super dark chocolate with, what are those, peanuts?
- 13:40Speaker 2: I'm guessing. Or chocolate chips. I don't know what's in there.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Meg's going to open them up. Little cookie type things.
- 13:48Speaker 4: I thought it was like the chocolate stuff in the
- 13:51Speaker 4: nuts that they have in the, what are the macadamia nuts? Oh, okay.
- 13:55Speaker 2: We're going to slide them around. We're going to try
- 13:58Speaker 2: a little cookie thing.
- 13:59Speaker 4: I'm not excited.
- 14:02Speaker 2: It smells fantastic. Nice crunch. That's pretty good. I'm looking
- 14:09Speaker 2: at Avery's face.
- 14:09Speaker 4: It tastes like an Oreo.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Oh, we finally found one she likes. It's a sweet thing.
- 14:16Speaker 2: What is in the middle?
- 14:17Speaker 3: It's getting worse.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Shocker. What do you think? Is it a peanut? Is
- 14:23Speaker 2: it chocolate?
- 14:24Speaker 4: I think it's chocolate or white chocolate. I just bit
- 14:26Speaker 4: one open.
- 14:28Speaker 2: This is fantastic.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Aftertaste is not good.
- 14:31Speaker 4: It's like a dark chocolate. That's why.
- 14:34Speaker 3: That's why.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm enjoying this.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Me too. And I don't even like chocolate.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Do I know where it's from? I don't. I'm going
- 14:42Speaker 2: to go. Where are you guys going?
- 14:46Speaker 1: I know.
- 14:46Speaker 2: What?
- 14:47Speaker 3: It's unknown.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Thanks for ruining the surprise. Appreciate that. You okay?
- 14:52Speaker 3: He said what?
- 14:53Speaker 2: This is the unknown one.
- 14:54Speaker 4: This is the unknown. A mystery biscuit.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Where would we think it was from?
- 14:59Speaker 4: You okay?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I was thinking Brazil. They're known for like rich
- 15:03Speaker 2: chocolates and stuff like that.
- 15:07Speaker 4: I think that was very good.
- 15:08Speaker 2: That was good. That was probably my favorite one so far.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I think my favorite is the Piper chips.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Okay, we are going to go. We're back to the
- 15:17Speaker 2: Elma chips. So if anybody in this room remembers the
- 15:21Speaker 2: little smiley face where they came from, it's going to
- 15:24Speaker 2: be the same country. But we have Avenos de Amendoins.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I probably butchered that. Not really sure what to expect here.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Looks like something covered in peanuts. So if you are
- 15:38Speaker 2: not a fan of peanuts, then you might not want one.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That's what we're going for. That was an aggressive bite.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Not terrible.
- 15:50Speaker 4: I love things that are like this. Me too. I
- 15:52Speaker 4: get the talky covered peanuts. And these are like that.
- 15:56Speaker 4: They're pretty good. They are good.
- 15:58Speaker 2: But if you don't like peanuts, you are not going
- 16:00Speaker 2: to enjoy this.
- 16:01Speaker 4: They're very mild. Do you like peanut savory? Then don't
- 16:04Speaker 4: eat it. It's literally a peanut inside of this.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Where are these from, Meg? You remember the smiley face guy?
- 16:10Speaker 4: UK.
- 16:13Speaker 2: I don't remember where he's from. I'm going to go Brazil.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Germany. It's Brazil.
- 16:20Speaker 2: So good at this. So good at this. Armando Lowe's pattern.
- 16:25Speaker 2: She's very predictable in her picking. She's trying to mix
- 16:27Speaker 2: things up. I don't think she was intentionally, but I
- 16:33Speaker 2: mixed it up here. All right, we're going a little
- 16:35Speaker 2: bit on the sweeter side. These look like dog treats. Oh,
- 16:39Speaker 2: my God. This is a familiar brand. Same brand as
- 16:43Speaker 2: the gummy bears, the Haribos, or whatever it is. These
- 16:48Speaker 2: are Pico Bala. Pico Bala, but the same brand. I
- 16:51Speaker 2: recognize the little teddy bear dude on there. Right?
- 16:54Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:56Speaker 2: For anybody watching, little teddy bear dude.
- 16:58Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:59Speaker 2: This is the one that I went with. Kinda looks
- 17:02Speaker 2: like a weird dog treat or something. That's a good
- 17:08Speaker 2: little gummy snack.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Oh, I just took a lot on accident.
- 17:11Speaker 2: These are fantastic.
- 17:14Speaker 4: These are better than the US one because they're not hard.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I agree.
- 17:19Speaker 4: They're kind of like the sweet tart ropes, but cut up.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Never had one of those, but I will agree. These
- 17:25Speaker 2: are pretty good. Aves, I think you can't hate this.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I have to imagine. No?
- 17:33Speaker 4: It's okay.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Not great.
- 17:36Speaker 4: I think you're just super picky.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Have you liked anything we've tried yet?
- 17:40Speaker 3: Nope.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yay.
- 17:42Speaker 4: That seems like a user error at this point. It
- 17:45Speaker 4: kind of tastes spicy.
- 17:49Speaker 2: There's nothing spicy about that.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Do you have COVID? In my throat.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Hmm. COVID was made up. All right, where are these from?
- 17:57Speaker 2: Don't tell us yet, Lo.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Avery?
- 17:58Speaker 2: I'm not going to.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Brazil.
- 18:00Speaker 4: I'm going Brazil.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I'm thinking Brazil as well.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Germany. What?
- 18:05Speaker 2: Huh? Hmm. I forgot to actually, when I was reading
- 18:09Speaker 2: the title, see if it sounded German or Brazil. That's
- 18:12Speaker 2: on me, not on you. Loful of this. The house wins.
- 18:16Speaker 2: All right, what do we got next here? We are
- 18:18Speaker 2: traveling or staying in the country. We have cratchers. I
- 18:26Speaker 2: don't know. These are.
- 18:30Speaker 2: These are pickle, I'm guessing. It has mit, picklinder, bros.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on here. They're different colors.
- 18:38Speaker 2: There's only four left. Maybe they were good. That's why
- 18:41Speaker 2: there's only a couple left.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Maybe.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I don't know how I'm going to do the whole thing.
- 18:49Speaker 2: They're like a chewy inside. They're not terrible. They're sweet.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Like pickles, I think. Ooh, I don't know. They got
- 19:01Speaker 2: sour quick.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Oh, there's sour powder inside of them.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that's sour.
- 19:06Speaker 4: That's what this little hole is. Oh, it tastes like cola.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Like a cola flavored. Mine doesn't.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell it tastes like, but
- 19:13Speaker 2: I'm going to finish that. Mine is strawberry.
- 19:14Speaker 4: It tastes like a cola flavored candy.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 19:16Speaker 3: This tastes like green apple. I actually like it. Whoa.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Hold on. I think I have a sound effect for this. Avery,
- 19:22Speaker 2: found something she liked?
- 19:37Speaker 4: The powder in the middle is sour.
- 19:43Speaker 2: So I'm guessing we all got different colors, different flavors.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Because mine wasn't green, mine wasn't strawberry, and mine was
- 19:47Speaker 2: not cola.
- 19:49Speaker 3: So.
- 19:50Speaker 2: that was good. Now we guess. Where is the snack from?
- 19:55Speaker 3: UK.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Germany.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I was thinking Germany, too.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Um, I forgot. It's Germany. I got one!
- 20:12Speaker 2: Well done to people.
- 20:14Speaker 4: And I'm sorry I just hit my mic. I really
- 20:16Speaker 4: like that.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Okay, so we're over to Frazzles. Frazzles, Frazzies, whatever. Crispy
- 20:22Speaker 2: bacon flavored corn snacks. 49 protein for any of those
- 20:27Speaker 2: keeping track. 15, 8, 26. These are a little on
- 20:33Speaker 2: the older side, but they smell like.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Great. Another thing that's supposed to be flavored bacon.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It smells like something that a dog.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Because these were supposed to be bacon.
- 20:48Speaker 2: They're not great.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I like it.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Nope, they smell like dog food. I'm not trying them.
- 20:54Speaker 2: They do. Let's see if the dog likes it.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I like it a lot. I actually like this. I
- 20:59Speaker 4: went in with the mindset that it was going to
- 21:00Speaker 4: taste like the Cheerio things because it kind of smells
- 21:02Speaker 4: the same.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Does Vern like it? Vern has it. Will he spit
- 21:06Speaker 2: it out? He spit it out. Even dogs. I like it.
- 21:11Speaker 3: It smells like the bacon treats. This might be one
- 21:13Speaker 3: of my.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Favorite ones, actually. Shocker.
- 21:16Speaker 2: The two of you like dog treats? Hmm. Hmm. I'm
- 21:21Speaker 2: going to say... UK. Aves?
- 21:26Speaker 3: I'm going to say... Germany.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Meg?
- 21:31Speaker 4: Um, I'm leaning towards Germany.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Lil?
- 21:34Speaker 4: It's UK. Tay!
- 21:37Speaker 2: Must be the money! All right, where are we heading next? Well,
- 21:41Speaker 2: not know where we're heading. What are we trying next?
- 21:44Speaker 2: All right, we have a blue bag. We got a
- 21:47Speaker 2: blue bag. Oh, it's Cheetos. These are going to be
- 21:50Speaker 2: ranch-flavored Cheetos. That's what it looks like to me. I
- 21:55Speaker 2: don't know what asado means, but that doesn't sound British
- 22:00Speaker 2: to me. But if you look at it, that looks
- 22:02Speaker 2: like sabar. This has got to be Brazil. Right? based
- 22:10Speaker 2: on there.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I agree. I think it's Brazil.
- 22:13Speaker 2: They look like French fries, and I think that's what
- 22:15Speaker 2: they're supposed to be. But I don't know wherever this country,
- 22:19Speaker 2: they're dipping the fries in a white substance. I'm assuming ranch. Okay.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Lo's going to like these. Oh, there it is.
- 22:32Speaker 4: It is ranch.
- 22:33Speaker 3: No, it's cheese.
- 22:36Speaker 4: It's cheesy ranch.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Is it ranch?
- 22:40Speaker 4: Is it cheese?
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's cheesy ranch. It's trance. Avery finished one. One up.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Number one. Thumbs up. I don't know. We went from.
- 22:50Speaker 2: She likes it. She's going in for round two. Those
- 22:53Speaker 2: aren't bad. Those are pretty decent. I don't know why
- 22:56Speaker 2: my voice went.
- 22:56Speaker 3: They're pretty good.
- 22:59Speaker 2: They're not bad.
- 23:00Speaker 4: I'm enjoying.
- 23:02Speaker 2: So should they bring these to the States?
- 23:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:05Speaker 4: I'm going Brazil.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Avery finally got one that she liked, took a bite,
- 23:13Speaker 2: and it landed on the floor. Let's see if the
- 23:15Speaker 2: dog likes this better. Vern's like, do I like this?
- 23:19Speaker 2: Do I like this? He's going to pick it up. Okay.
- 23:23Speaker 2: He likes cheesy.
- 23:25Speaker 4: We got a crunch.
- 23:27Speaker 2: He spit it back out. He's over it too. He's
- 23:30Speaker 2: thinking about it.
- 23:31Speaker 4: And Avery have the same palate.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 2: All right.
- 23:34Speaker 3: What?
- 23:34Speaker 4: No, Avery doesn't eat cat puke off my floor.
- 23:39Speaker 2: That's probably a good thing. All right, what do we
- 23:43Speaker 2: got next?
- 23:45Speaker 4: You didn't guess where it was from.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Oh.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Brazil.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Brazil.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I said Brazil.
- 23:52Speaker 4: It's Brazil.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I said this has got to be Brazil. All right,
- 23:58Speaker 2: we're going on the sweeter side. Nestle. Pasatempo. Looks like
- 24:05Speaker 2: a little dinosaur. It's going to be some kind of
- 24:07Speaker 2: cracker with strawberry, I believe, in the middle.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Hopefully I like it.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Nestle, a brand we all have heard of.
- 24:17Speaker 3: I think it's from... I haven't tried it yet.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Going right for it. All right. Cracker, definitely some fruity.
- 24:29Speaker 2: This was in one of those other boxes that we
- 24:31Speaker 2: did a couple of weeks ago.
- 24:32Speaker 4: A little bear on it.
- 24:33Speaker 2: It's got like a little.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Oh, mine's a little crocodile. They're different animals.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Looks like I got an elephant with a hat backwards.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Do you want to see mine?
- 24:42Speaker 2: And a mouse, potentially.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Mine's a monkey. And a giraffe.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Got a.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Little bear. Cute. Not bad.
- 24:55Speaker 4: They have an interesting taste.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah. Avery was like, I'm going to love this. Took
- 25:00Speaker 2: a huge bite.
- 25:02Speaker 4: They're not bad, though. Yeah.
- 25:06Speaker 2: I'm going to say these are from.
- 25:13Speaker 4: UK.
- 25:14Speaker 2: It seems like a British thing.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I was going UK also.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Me too.
- 25:19Speaker 4: The biscuit.
- 25:20Speaker 3: They taste like those strawberry wafers, kind of.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Kind of? Well, where are they from?
- 25:26Speaker 4: Um.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Um?
- 25:29Speaker 2: Was that an um or a yum?
- 25:31Speaker 4: Let me find them real quick.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Oh.
- 25:34Speaker 4: Brazil.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Oh, okay, Brazil. I see what you're doing out here.
- 25:38Speaker 4: I mean, they've got me like every time.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Interesting. Again, good. Not great. What are we going with?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Something sweet again? These are similar to potentially something else.
- 25:51Speaker 2: These are called rainbow drops. Free from artificial colors. And
- 25:57Speaker 2: they spell colors like the French. C-O-L-O-U-R-S. Hmm. Maybe I
- 26:05Speaker 2: gave that away. Here they are. They almost look like
- 26:09Speaker 2: little mini cheese doodle dots.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Burton gets to try these ones, too, because some of
- 26:19Speaker 4: them fell.
- 26:20Speaker 2: They're not good. They're not great. They're not bad.
- 26:25Speaker 4: They're like a marshmallow. They sound hard, but then they're soft.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Hmm. I don't know. I don't love them. I
- 26:36Speaker 2: don't hate them.
- 26:36Speaker 4: They're decent.
- 26:37Speaker 3: I didn't try any.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I wouldn't buy them. Where are they from?
- 26:41Speaker 4: I don't like them. But they also could be stale.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Possible. All right. I'm going to say they're from UK.
- 26:47Speaker 2: What are you thinking, Meg?
- 26:51Speaker 3: Germany.
- 26:53Speaker 4: I'll go Brazil.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Eh. Eh.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Maybe he's just loving these little strawberry cookies. I'm going
- 27:03Speaker 2: to go Brazil.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Lo?
- 27:04Speaker 2: Tell them they're from the UK.
- 27:05Speaker 4: They're from the UK?
- 27:06Speaker 2: I gave you the clue. How they spell colors.
- 27:10Speaker 4: I know. I guess the same as you.
- 27:12Speaker 2: All right, this one. I like those. It's a cow,
- 27:18Speaker 2: and it says Trolley Milk Coup. And they're gummies or something? Oh, boy,
- 27:26Speaker 2: I don't want the pink one. There's pink and white, brown.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I'm going this one. I'm assuming pink strawberry. Maybe they
- 27:32Speaker 2: all taste the same. I don't know. That's kind of weird.
- 27:35Speaker 2: It kind of looks like they're showing you where you
- 27:37Speaker 2: get your steak from. Right? Would you like the ribeye?
- 27:42Speaker 2: Would you like the round roast? Would you like the ribs?
- 27:45Speaker 4: They're adorable. They are cute.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Let's see what kind of psychopath you are based on
- 27:50Speaker 2: where you bite the cow. Avery went right for the head.
- 27:53Speaker 4: I also did.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Low end from the head. Meg did too. I was
- 27:57Speaker 2: going to start with a leg.
- 27:59Speaker 4: But you might as well take it out of its misery.
- 28:02Speaker 2: It's already done, kid.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I still have that in my mouth, so I like it.
- 28:07Speaker 2: These aren't bad.
- 28:08Speaker 4: I think there's two types of jelly on it, though.
- 28:10Speaker 4: There is. Like, one's sour and one's sweet.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I don't think you're ready for this jelly.
- 28:16Speaker 4: It's like, um... I bet there won't. It's like the...
- 28:20Speaker 4: What brand were these from? The little round ones?
- 28:23Speaker 2: The gummy bear brand? The Halle? Yeah.
- 28:24Speaker 4: It's like those. It's like their egg ones. Good. So there's, like,
- 28:29Speaker 4: the marshmallow, and then there's the actual gummy.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah. And what I do love... Snacks and candies and
- 28:35Speaker 2: treats from other countries. Like, they don't have a whole
- 28:37Speaker 2: bunch of chemicals and crap in them. Like, they're more natural,
- 28:41Speaker 2: less artificial and stuff. So, these are pretty good. Where
- 28:44Speaker 2: are we guessing?
- 28:46Speaker 4: I think she changed her mind.
- 28:48Speaker 3: The last bite got gross. Went back to Mimi's garden.
- 28:53Speaker 2: That's weird. All right, where are we guessing?
- 28:58Speaker 4: I'm going Germany.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Brazil.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Germany.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Germany.
- 29:05Speaker 4: I keep forgetting where they're from. Oh, they're from Germany.
- 29:10Speaker 4: This is the last one.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Last one. We have, we're going back on the, oh,
- 29:17Speaker 2: I was going to say crunchy, but it says churrasco. Sabor, churrasco, torcida.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I don't know what the heck these things are. They
- 29:27Speaker 2: look potatoes. They look.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Churros. Stick white.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Okay. They're like, they almost look like a. Pizza pocket.
- 29:37Speaker 4: I'm excited for this texture.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Oh my God. It tastes like, it tastes like the
- 29:48Speaker 2: smell of barbecued smoked meat. Like if you walk through
- 29:52Speaker 2: a barbecue competition and you wanted to smell what the
- 29:57Speaker 2: air smelled like, this is what it tastes like.
- 29:59Speaker 4: I don't think they're bad.
- 30:01Speaker 3: I'm not going to try one.
- 30:02Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 30:03Speaker 4: The first one I had was like slappy in the face. Yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 4: it was shocking. But then the second one wasn't the
- 30:09Speaker 4: same effect. I think you got to go in for two, Matt.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Nope.
- 30:12Speaker 4: I think you do.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Nope.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Okay.
- 30:15Speaker 2: And I'm going.
- 30:16Speaker 4: I don't hate it.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Brazil.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I'm also going Brazil.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I'm going to go Brazil.
- 30:20Speaker 4: It's Brazil.
- 30:25Speaker 2: All right. So of all of them, what was the
- 30:27Speaker 2: one that you liked? You don't have to overly stress
- 30:30Speaker 2: about it. Think about it. Just was there one that
- 30:33Speaker 2: was better? Babes?
- 30:35Speaker 3: I liked the cheesy ranch things and the strawberry cookies.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I liked the peanut cheese doodle looking things and the bacon.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Dog treats. Yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 2: So final verdict. I think Vern did eat the cheesy thing. Oh,
- 30:54Speaker 2: and he did eat the bacon thing. So what happened
- 30:55Speaker 2: is he heard the other dog, Biggie, barking and was like,
- 30:57Speaker 2: he's coming in. I better finish him. What did you like?
- 31:03Speaker 4: I like the peanut shaped ones and I don't know.
- 31:09Speaker 4: I really like the crunchy peanut things.
- 31:11Speaker 2: They were pretty good.
- 31:12Speaker 4: And the fruit poppy pepper things.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Gotcha.
- 31:15Speaker 4: The little beads.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I'd have to say over all of them, I think
- 31:18Speaker 2: more of the sweet Andy style was stuff that I
- 31:22Speaker 2: enjoyed a little bit more, so. But hey, shout out
- 31:24Speaker 2: to the neighbors for sending that over. That was good.
- 31:28Speaker 2: And maybe we'll look into a Snack Crate subscription box.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I feel like we really do enjoy this. So maybe
- 31:34Speaker 2: we can start to go and travel around the world.
- 31:37Speaker 2: So we're going to head on over to snackcrate.com or
- 31:39Speaker 2: whatever the website is. We'll check it out ourselves. That's
- 31:42Speaker 2: all we got. We haven't been home much this week.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Traveling and soccer and cooking food. But we have a
- 31:48Speaker 2: little bit of some time off on the weekend. But
- 31:50Speaker 2: there's not a lot of stuff.
- 31:52Speaker 1: So.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Actually, there is. There's a baked potato in there. So
- 31:56Speaker 2: we're going to have to fight over that. And since
- 31:57Speaker 2: I'm king of the castle, I'm going to say stay
- 32:00Speaker 2: out of my fridge. But that's all we got. We'll
- 32:02Speaker 2: be back next week. Take care, everybody. Bye-bye.
- 32:04Speaker 4: See you. Bye.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Bye.
- 32:13Speaker 1: If you like the show, please take a moment to rate, review,
- 32:16Speaker 1: and subscribe. It really does help the show to grow.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Thank you for listening.
