- 1:46Speaker 2: that Katie has put her talons into and forced these
- 1:49Speaker 2: people to have her be involved in it. You want
- 1:51Speaker 2: to you want to talk about it and uh yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 2: and tell everybody how to win these tickets.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Well, how exciting is this? First of all, if you're
- 2:00Speaker 5: familiar with the Chicken Fight and Burger Brawl folks, this
- 2:04Speaker 5: has been going on at Elitch Gardens for a couple
- 2:07Speaker 5: of years now, and I absolutely love it. It's like
- 2:10Speaker 5: a big fried chicken festival, if you will.
- 2:13Speaker 3: But they've got like.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Forty different restaurants plus out there unlimited burgers and chicken
- 2:20Speaker 5: creations for you. They've got live music, entertainment, chef showdowns
- 2:25Speaker 5: in culinary companies, a chef showdown.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Is it cooking or do they actually fight each other? Oh? No,
- 2:30Speaker 3: it's cooking. They're actually fighting. That's a different event each
- 2:35Speaker 3: of them.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Yeah, they already had the ring rounded out for different events,
- 2:39Speaker 5: so they weren't able to do that. But they do
- 2:41Speaker 5: have unlimited rides with this as well. So you get
- 2:43Speaker 5: to go to Elich Gardens for chicken Fight and get
- 2:46Speaker 5: in on all this chicken and burger craziness. But you
- 2:48Speaker 5: also get to ride all the rides and then you
- 2:51Speaker 5: get to vote for your favorite and watch the chicken
- 2:55Speaker 5: wing eating competition.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Gee, who's going to be participating in that large heart
- 3:03Speaker 3: over here?
- 3:04Speaker 5: I'm so excited. They asked me that. They asked us
- 3:07Speaker 5: if we wanted to compete in the chicken wing eating competition.
- 3:09Speaker 3: It's so funny. Well, heart palpitations.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Both of you were like, uh really, you know what, Katie,
- 3:16Speaker 5: we gotta get you a name.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, they asked, do you have like a name, like
- 3:20Speaker 2: a performance eating name? Penelope palipitation.
- 3:24Speaker 5: They asked if you wanted one. I already signed up,
- 3:26Speaker 5: so I already did all this, So I just said
- 3:28Speaker 5: Katie because it was like people, Katie cholesterol, No, I
- 3:32Speaker 5: want Katie, just Katie.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Katie, just Katie. Arrest Katie.
- 3:37Speaker 5: They asked us if we wanted walk up songs, so
- 3:39Speaker 5: we get a walk up song when we go. Do
- 3:42Speaker 5: you want? I wanted? I wanted something that we played
- 3:48Speaker 5: on Mixed one hundred so that I could show homage
- 3:50Speaker 5: to our radio station. You know, I'm up there because
- 3:53Speaker 5: of Mixed Denver's Best Music. So I wanted a song
- 3:56Speaker 5: we played, so I picked Justin Bieber's Yummy.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Okay, it kind of fits, yeah, a little disappointing. Didn't
- 4:03Speaker 2: pick the chicken then?
- 4:04Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 4:04Speaker 4: No, no no.
- 4:05Speaker 5: So anyway, but we're giving away tickets to the festival
- 4:07Speaker 5: all week long, so I believe we're going to do
- 4:09Speaker 5: that on our Instagram.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Pages and media.
- 4:12Speaker 5: So get over there and give us a like and
- 4:13Speaker 5: a follow, because that's where it's going to be started.
- 4:15Speaker 5: But I am so excited for this, that's awesome.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I reached out to them, so it's Jeremy, Katy Josh
- 4:21Speaker 2: on Instagram. Go give us a follow on there and
- 4:24Speaker 2: then of all of our followers each and every day,
- 4:27Speaker 2: we'll select one random person to go enjoy watching Katie
- 4:31Speaker 2: stuff chicken into her pie hole.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Well you could eat chicken too. You get to have
- 4:36Speaker 5: fun time too.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But go follow right now Jeremy Katy Josh on Instagram
- 4:41Speaker 2: and we'll pull that rando after every show this week.
- 4:45Speaker 1: What's blowing up? We've got receipts, We've got drummers, We've.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Got Denver talking.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's the mile High Hike with JKJ.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Legends and Icon on one hundred.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Well, let's talk about all the big trending stories of
- 4:59Speaker 2: the day. Shout out to Kylie Jenner, who is turning
- 5:03Speaker 2: twenty nine years old today.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Boy, she is getting old, old old.
- 5:08Speaker 2: She did celebrate this weekend with a pink themed birthday party.
- 5:13Speaker 6: Get this study, Yeah, yeah, cute, she was really cute.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Decorations included a cake that looked like it was modeled
- 5:30Speaker 2: on her own torso and hips. The cake was wearing
- 5:34Speaker 2: a pink bikini and had birthday candles sticking out you
- 5:38Speaker 2: know where the nips should be. It also had the
- 5:43Speaker 2: word miaw written all over it.
- 5:46Speaker 3: A pierced belly button.
- 5:48Speaker 2: The only thing I could think checked out this cake,
- 5:50Speaker 2: didn't you.
- 5:51Speaker 3: The only thing I.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Could think of is if I was at this party,
- 5:55Speaker 2: I think there'd be a time where people are like, hey,
- 5:57Speaker 2: where's Jeremy? And do you remember that scene in a
- 5:59Speaker 2: maror and Pie with what he was doing to the pie?
- 6:03Speaker 3: Wouldn't it be funny if people walked in the kitchen
- 6:05Speaker 3: and I was laying on that cake.
- 6:07Speaker 5: No, because then we'd have to bail you out. Today,
- 6:12Speaker 5: I know a whole lot of no's, Jeff, Actually, you're
- 6:19Speaker 5: gonna have a.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Bunch of baby's candle in my eye and it didn't
- 6:23Speaker 3: say no. Well, they don't talk so close as I'm
- 6:26Speaker 3: ever gonna get to Kylie. I'll tell you that much.
- 6:29Speaker 3: All right. So there's a story out this morning. Katie.
- 6:31Speaker 2: You might know about this since you are a resident
- 6:33Speaker 2: high cholesterol queen. Okay, shake shack appears to be charging out.
- 6:39Speaker 3: See I knew it.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I knew it.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Okay, what did you have real quick?
- 6:42Speaker 5: Would we had their shakeshack Burger and then we got
- 6:46Speaker 5: uh their fries onion rings?
- 6:48Speaker 4: I knew this story like I.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Was Friday night, just went there.
- 6:54Speaker 3: So maybe you've noticed it.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Okay, there's a TikTok that's going viral right now, where
- 6:58Speaker 2: a couple shows up to a shake shack peering and
- 7:00Speaker 2: they ordered there on the menu, and then the menu
- 7:03Speaker 2: appears to change when they decided to do no tip.
- 7:07Speaker 2: So they tested it out. One went and ordered a
- 7:10Speaker 2: meal with the tip. Yeah, got a certain price. The
- 7:13Speaker 2: husband went back, ordered the same meal, did no tip,
- 7:16Speaker 2: and the price went up.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Here's what I'm talking about it.
- 7:18Speaker 7: My wife says that if you don't tip at Shade Shock,
- 7:21Speaker 7: they make it more expensive par items.
- 7:23Speaker 8: So we're about to find out every.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Item went up by fifty cents, every item because he
- 7:27Speaker 2: said no tip. And then it comes this little thing
- 7:29Speaker 2: comes on the screen that says, oh, oh there was
- 7:31Speaker 2: a mistake. There's been a pricing update to one or
- 7:34Speaker 2: more items in your cart, and in the video everything
- 7:37Speaker 2: went up fifty cents. I don't know if this is
- 7:40Speaker 2: true or not. I'm just reporting the hard hitting news coming.
- 7:43Speaker 3: From TikTok this week, and they do that. I don't know, maybe.
- 7:46Speaker 2: There's auging, like yeah, I don't know if it's on
- 7:52Speaker 2: par with how some restaurants are, including the you know,
- 7:55Speaker 2: the the what do they call it, the back the
- 7:58Speaker 2: back of the house, back of the house charge, say you.
- 8:00Speaker 3: They do, so, I'm wondering if that equates to a
- 8:03Speaker 3: back of the house charge, like that's an actual sit down.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Let me take your order restaurant.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Let me tell you. This is coming off TikTok this morning,
- 8:12Speaker 3: viral viral video. I don't know, do you know?
- 8:15Speaker 5: I will do my rees. I will go there.
- 8:17Speaker 3: How about that you should go go check it out.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I'll order two meals and I'll.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Take your statings, take your stats and go check it out.
- 8:24Speaker 3: I can do that.
- 8:25Speaker 2: I got one more thing for you. Harry Potter Store.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Jess Star Jess Star Air quotes. Jesse Cave says she's
- 8:33Speaker 2: making more money on OnlyFans than she did her entire
- 8:36Speaker 2: acting career.
- 8:37Speaker 3: There's not even any.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Nudity or pornographic material on there. She played Lavender Brown,
- 8:43Speaker 2: which was Ron Weasley's girlfriend or something.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I've never seen any of this crap anyway. What she
- 8:49Speaker 2: does is she makes videos on the only fans where
- 8:53Speaker 2: she's just brushing and playing with her hair, and she
- 8:56Speaker 2: has made almost as much as she did doing all
- 8:58Speaker 2: the Harry Potter movies.
- 9:00Speaker 3: People will watch anything.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, I have hair.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I had to talk to my wife about getting something going. Yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 3: like wear a mask or something. Nobody will ever know.
- 9:12Speaker 3: She's got awesome his gray hairs.
- 9:14Speaker 2: One of the things I love most about her is
- 9:15Speaker 2: there sometimes I sniff it for fun.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Cash.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You guys have never seen me again thanks to my
- 9:23Speaker 2: wife's hair. Start brushing, baby.
- 9:25Speaker 5: You're sentenced to snake.
- 9:27Speaker 2: But yeah, I'd pull things out of the drain and
- 9:30Speaker 2: presented it on screen.
- 9:32Speaker 5: People into it. Okay, So this is a heartwarming story
- 9:36Speaker 5: because a little puppy, Nana is okay after being bit
- 9:39Speaker 5: by a rattlesnake. What So, here's how it all went down.
- 9:44Speaker 5: Thank goodness for this good samaritan Caleb. Now he found
- 9:47Speaker 5: the baby immediately jumped into action. Now happened in Weld County.
- 9:51Speaker 5: But he just noticed that this little puppy was abandoned
- 9:54Speaker 5: and there were lumps all over little Keyota's face. So
- 9:57Speaker 5: rushed her to the vet and they were able to
- 10:00Speaker 5: her life once they figured out that she was a
- 10:01Speaker 5: bit by a rattlesnake. She didn't end up having a
- 10:05Speaker 5: parasite as well, so they had to treat her for
- 10:07Speaker 5: an important dog. It was a little touch and go
- 10:09Speaker 5: for a little Toona for a minute, but you'll be
- 10:11Speaker 5: happy to know that they were able to clear all
- 10:14Speaker 5: of it up and that cute little furry gal is
- 10:17Speaker 5: doing just fine when they're family.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Oh thanks, Lumpy and parasites. It sounds like some of
- 10:24Speaker 2: our interns work here and they.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Got adopted to Yay little puppy gus the full time.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Yay Okay. This is also a good look for Denver.
- 10:33Speaker 5: Weimo entering its second phase here in the Mile High City.
- 10:37Speaker 5: So up until recently, it was just Waimo employees who
- 10:39Speaker 5: were driving around town while the cars in the system.
- 10:41Speaker 5: They collected the data to get to know the area,
- 10:44Speaker 5: so at the moment, only company employees can use the
- 10:47Speaker 5: driver list Weymo. They're still trying to figure out how
- 10:50Speaker 5: Denver's all set up and everything, but the public's going
- 10:53Speaker 5: to be able to book rides later this year, so
- 10:55Speaker 5: get ready for it.
- 10:56Speaker 3: And Denver a very.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Important testing ground for Weimo because it's the company's only
- 11:01Speaker 5: test city that regularly sees snow and ice, so it's
- 11:04Speaker 5: a really big deal for us to be able to
- 11:05Speaker 5: do it.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Lots of construction. We talked about this a couple weeks
- 11:08Speaker 3: exactly barriers, Oh gosh, animals.
- 11:12Speaker 5: High country up there, whole new way of driving. Well yeah, okay,
- 11:16Speaker 5: they're figuring it all out and again later this year
- 11:19Speaker 5: you are going to be able to book rides and
- 11:20Speaker 5: then one more because this story uh nugs ice cream.
- 11:24Speaker 5: So it's off on Colfax downtown. It's little ice cream parlor,
- 11:27Speaker 5: little local shop. They got a rock thrown through their windows.
- 11:30Speaker 5: So this ice cream shop has been there for twelve years.
- 11:33Speaker 5: Nothing like this has happened before, and the owners grew
- 11:37Speaker 5: up in the area, so they did have to board
- 11:40Speaker 5: up the window for a little bit. But Chris, who
- 11:42Speaker 5: is one of the owners, he says the community has
- 11:44Speaker 5: brought the bright spot to this whole story, that.
- 11:46Speaker 9: The community has really rallied around us. We were super
- 11:49Speaker 9: busy yesterday people calling people offering support as it's hard
- 11:53Speaker 9: enough to keep the doors open when people aren't smashing them.
- 11:56Speaker 9: I hope they learn a lesson and get the help
- 11:58Speaker 9: they clearly need.
- 12:00Speaker 2: They are missing a prime marketing opportunity right now. What's
- 12:04Speaker 2: that Buy one, get one Rocky Road ice cream. Long
- 12:11Speaker 2: come in, buy some Rocky Road and.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Raise some money to replace that window.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Well, and again the communities really shown up and helped
- 12:19Speaker 5: out and I'd love the story here too because Chris
- 12:21Speaker 5: the owner, so him and his brother, they grew up
- 12:24Speaker 5: in that area. That building that is the ice cream
- 12:26Speaker 5: shop is an old Taco Bell. That's where they went
- 12:29Speaker 5: to Taco Bell in high school. Really like, so that's
- 12:31Speaker 5: why they bought that building because he and his brother
- 12:33Speaker 5: frequented it all the time.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Ice cream tastes like Ado.
- 12:38Speaker 5: It was definitely a hit for sure. But they're very
- 12:42Speaker 5: happy that the community has shown up in the way
- 12:44Speaker 5: that they did. So they said that they heard this
- 12:46Speaker 5: story and they've just been super, super busy. So yeah,
- 12:49Speaker 5: the community has shown to me.
- 12:51Speaker 3: I'm going to send them my Rocky Road. That's a
- 12:53Speaker 3: really good idea.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Yes, Nugs ice cream on coal Fax, go show him
- 12:57Speaker 5: some love.
- 12:57Speaker 3: All right, it's time for a report.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Colorado is bringing back its statewide e bike rebate program.
- 13:07Speaker 2: It is popping on the twenty fourth of this month.
- 13:11Speaker 2: It looks like the state has about three million bucks
- 13:13Speaker 2: available for residents to receive a little Chetta towards an
- 13:18Speaker 2: e bike, which is really nice. Qualified buyers can receive
- 13:22Speaker 2: one thousand dollars towards the standard e bike, with an
- 13:25Speaker 2: additional three hundred dollars available for cargo or adaptive models.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Not sure what that means. I know what the cargo means,
- 13:33Speaker 3: but I'm not sure what the adaptive is.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Anyway, the rebate can also be combined with Colorado's separate
- 13:38Speaker 2: two hundred and twenty five dollars point of sale e
- 13:42Speaker 2: bike tax credit at participating retailers. So anyway, it's a
- 13:46Speaker 2: good opportunity for people wanting to pick up a bike
- 13:49Speaker 2: to get.
- 13:49Speaker 3: A little cash knocked off the top. There.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Wait, what is the qualifier? Like, what do you have
- 13:53Speaker 5: to do?
- 13:53Speaker 3: Well, you got to look it up. There's income restrictions
- 13:56Speaker 3: and things like.
- 13:57Speaker 5: That out Yeah, sound like, wait a minute, that seems
- 14:01Speaker 5: like you can get an e bike for free.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Tell me more.
- 14:03Speaker 2: J Nah, they're pretty expensive, but thousand bucks A thousand
- 14:06Speaker 2: bucks will knock a lot off there. I will tell you, like,
- 14:09Speaker 2: I haven't been on my much this summer, but I
- 14:12Speaker 2: have one and I love it. I love it, love it,
- 14:15Speaker 2: love it especially I went and zipped around Chatfield all
- 14:18Speaker 2: the way around Chatfield Lake there, and it was nice
- 14:21Speaker 2: not to have to pedal for some of it.
- 14:23Speaker 3: I will tell you that much.
- 14:23Speaker 10: Right.
- 14:24Speaker 5: I just feel like I'm not doing much when I
- 14:25Speaker 5: get on the just like work.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Oh oh oh oh, you just said I was gonna
- 14:32Speaker 2: be sitting in my car at wine time.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's different.
- 14:39Speaker 3: You will obvio sitting on a roller coaster. I got
- 14:46Speaker 3: something else for you.
- 14:47Speaker 2: This this new jacket that's coming out they say is
- 14:50Speaker 2: perfect for athletes. Engineers at the University of Texas have
- 14:55Speaker 2: developed a jacket capable of pulling up to one point
- 14:59Speaker 2: five pints of drinkable water from the air on a
- 15:04Speaker 2: daily basis. It's this special hydrogel fabric and what it
- 15:09Speaker 2: does is it absorb absorbs moisture in the air, puts
- 15:14Speaker 2: it a little pouch there in your pocket, and then
- 15:16Speaker 2: you can drink the water.
- 15:18Speaker 3: They say this is huge.
- 15:19Speaker 2: It's got huge benefits for people out hiking, camping, maybe
- 15:23Speaker 2: if you're a soldier and you're in a dry climate.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Even if you're in a dry climate, it'll pull moisture
- 15:28Speaker 2: out of the air for you, long distance runners, hunters,
- 15:32Speaker 2: all sorts of applications.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I know you got a yucky face right now, Well, because.
- 15:35Speaker 5: Does it like people's bio mixed with the air and
- 15:38Speaker 5: then you're drinking people.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I'm kind of into it though. It's not bo water.
- 15:44Speaker 3: But what's in the air. It's just a humidity. But
- 15:47Speaker 3: I'm sure it goes through some sort of like filtration
- 15:50Speaker 3: system there that you can be able to.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Fantastic.
- 15:54Speaker 3: It's not just straight air, so it's not bo and sweat.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Bro quit making that's huge.
- 16:03Speaker 3: You're a hiker, Like, imagine.
- 16:04Speaker 2: If you were out on a trail and you got
- 16:06Speaker 2: lost and you're like, yo, there he well you're alone,
- 16:09Speaker 2: give it a day.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Give it a day.
- 16:12Speaker 5: There's other people out there, and I smell.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Now when you're in nature alone stranded.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Well, no, but you pass by people a lot when
- 16:18Speaker 5: you're hiking and that and.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I don't want but what if you're alone out there
- 16:23Speaker 2: and you're like stranded, this is the only way for
- 16:25Speaker 2: you to get water?
- 16:26Speaker 3: Is your magic water jacket?
- 16:27Speaker 4: No, I like it.
- 16:28Speaker 5: I do, like you should like it, just but it
- 16:31Speaker 5: just shocked me a little.
- 16:32Speaker 3: That's all you.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Now, there are some people that I wouldn't want to
- 16:36Speaker 2: be around if I'm absorbing their moisture.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I'll tell you that. That's what I'm saying. You're making
- 16:40Speaker 3: a good point.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Now that I think about it, I can think of
- 16:44Speaker 2: about four coworkers here.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Yeah, all a sudden. You're drinking their water.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't want their water, gosh anything else.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Yeah, we do.
- 16:51Speaker 11: This is a story coming out of Philadelphia that is
- 16:54Speaker 11: warming hearts all over the world right now. Lewis Cobb,
- 16:56Speaker 11: he's a seventy three year old man out of Medford Lakes,
- 16:59Speaker 11: New Jersey. Is he in a lifetime substitute teacher? Well,
- 17:02Speaker 11: he is a die hard Philadelphia Phillies fan and they
- 17:05Speaker 11: have an annual charity auction that he actually won a
- 17:08Speaker 11: chance to call it an inning with Sports Radio ninety
- 17:12Speaker 11: four wip Whip, which is the Nationals broadcast team. He
- 17:16Speaker 11: bid twenty two thousand dollars to be able to do
- 17:19Speaker 11: this and he called the game and he did it seamlessly.
- 17:22Speaker 4: I have a little bit here. Let's take a listen then, Lewis, welcome,
- 17:25Speaker 4: glad to have you here.
- 17:26Speaker 12: Thank you, Scott. It's a thrilled to be here. It's
- 17:29Speaker 12: a lifelong dream to be in the Phillies broadcast booth.
- 17:32Speaker 12: So here the first pitch to our tays that's in
- 17:36Speaker 12: there for strike one. Call fills with two in the
- 17:38Speaker 12: bottom of the second to take the lead. As we
- 17:41Speaker 12: start the top of the third. Now Philly's winning the
- 17:43Speaker 12: first two games of this series, one more to go
- 17:45Speaker 12: tomorrow night and then the three game set with the
- 17:48Speaker 12: Blue Jays up at the weekend.
- 17:49Speaker 2: He sounds like he's doing my voice that makes sporch.
- 17:53Speaker 3: He sounds like your typical sports guy he does.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Sounds like he listened to old time sport days. Yes,
- 18:00Speaker 4: and I love it.
- 18:01Speaker 11: Actually, it sounds like after they introduce him, he goes
- 18:04Speaker 11: right into his Scott Franski and Larry Anderson, they're the
- 18:06Speaker 11: normal radio guys.
- 18:06Speaker 4: They introduced him and like right off the bat.
- 18:08Speaker 3: He's like, your pleasure to be here.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Absolutely, we got this guy up at bat right now,
- 18:14Speaker 2: he's just sitting a mish.
- 18:16Speaker 11: He did that for eight minutes, which was their total
- 18:18Speaker 11: time inning half inning, and he did such a good
- 18:20Speaker 11: job all over.
- 18:23Speaker 3: We're very proud of.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Jarny, Katie and Josh.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I do have to give a very special shout out
- 18:34Speaker 2: to our partners over at water World. Loaded up the
- 18:37Speaker 2: old family SUV with the kiddos this weekend and we
- 18:41Speaker 2: went out to explore that brand new Summit Canyon out there.
- 18:45Speaker 3: The new area awesome.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was incredible, so nice and new
- 18:51Speaker 2: and fun, and the kids ate it up I got
- 18:55Speaker 2: my wife and I hadn't been out to water World
- 18:57Speaker 2: since speaking of high school, probably high.
- 18:59Speaker 3: School days, so it's been a minute since I was
- 19:01Speaker 3: out there. And we had a blast. It was a
- 19:04Speaker 3: really good time.
- 19:05Speaker 5: That's a good weekend to be out there too, with
- 19:06Speaker 5: all those tempts like flirting with triple dig.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Tripped ditch bro.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we tried the Doctor Pepper dipping dots out there,
- 19:15Speaker 2: which made me very happy.
- 19:16Speaker 3: And then I got yelled.
- 19:17Speaker 2: At too because one of the slides we were waiting
- 19:20Speaker 2: up at the top, this was one of the new
- 19:21Speaker 2: ones there at Summit Canyon, and there's like a red
- 19:23Speaker 2: light green light, you know, go stop, go stop.
- 19:25Speaker 3: So my son zipped.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Down on the green and then it turned back to
- 19:30Speaker 2: green fairly fast, and I was like, oh, well, I
- 19:33Speaker 2: guess I'm okay to go. Yeah, so I zip down
- 19:35Speaker 2: it too, And as I was approaching the bottom, I
- 19:39Speaker 2: could see the lifeguard down there.
- 19:42Speaker 3: The whistle at my son.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Going get out, get out, get out, get out. Is
- 19:45Speaker 2: I come flying up right behind him and almost plow
- 19:49Speaker 2: into him and I got out.
- 19:51Speaker 3: He's like, sir, you gotta wait and tell the person
- 19:54Speaker 3: before you is house. I was like, I didn't know
- 19:57Speaker 3: it turned greed.
- 19:59Speaker 2: He's like, oh, so, I'm some times it doesn't register
- 20:01Speaker 2: when kids go down. I was like, noed, thank you,
- 20:05Speaker 2: And it was so sweet. This little old lady that
- 20:08Speaker 2: was standing there. She's like, well, at least if you
- 20:10Speaker 2: had hit him it was family, you'd be fine. And
- 20:13Speaker 2: I go, ma'am, You're absolutely correct. At least I would
- 20:15Speaker 2: have slammed into myself. One of my most favorite things
- 20:19Speaker 2: about coming in each and every day is just hearing
- 20:23Speaker 2: the craziness that is Katie's dating life.
- 20:27Speaker 3: I just can't imagine being out in the dating world.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I don't know what you're doing, but you are just attracting.
- 20:32Speaker 2: You were attracting just the most delightful people, just the
- 20:36Speaker 2: wildest stories.
- 20:39Speaker 3: We kind of have to tiptoe.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Around this one as to not offend anybody. But yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 2: I mean not your type. So I don't know how
- 20:52Speaker 2: far into this you want to go, but I would say,
- 20:54Speaker 2: over the past week or so, you've been like kind
- 20:55Speaker 2: of raving about this dude.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Yeah, like we just you know, we met on one
- 21:01Speaker 5: of the dating apps and immediately he'd asked me, Hey,
- 21:05Speaker 5: do you think we could take this to text? So
- 21:07Speaker 5: we're not going on the app, and usually I have
- 21:09Speaker 5: a rule of I don't give someone my phone number
- 21:12Speaker 5: unless I've met them.
- 21:14Speaker 3: But after the whole Chicago.
- 21:15Speaker 5: Guy scenario, I'm like, I'm gonna do things a little
- 21:17Speaker 5: different this time around. I'm gonna do things that are
- 21:19Speaker 5: a little outside of my comfort zone. So when he
- 21:21Speaker 5: asked for my number, I gave it to him and
- 21:24Speaker 5: he immediately called me, like, dialed my number and pressed
- 21:29Speaker 5: the green phone, called me, that's right.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Did he know?
- 21:34Speaker 5: I was surprised by it, and immediately like, I loved
- 21:37Speaker 5: the sound of his voice. We were talking about things, yeah,
- 21:41Speaker 5: super deep, and we were talking about things that were
- 21:44Speaker 5: outside of the normal, like get to know you, dating,
- 21:47Speaker 5: what's your favorite food, do you like to hike? Do
- 21:49Speaker 5: you like sports?
- 21:50Speaker 8: Like?
- 21:50Speaker 5: We were actually talking about real things, and so I
- 21:53Speaker 5: was like, oh, this feels good. You know, talking to
- 21:55Speaker 5: this guy feels a little good. Now, there were a
- 21:57Speaker 5: few red flags in which we talked about it. I
- 22:00Speaker 5: was just like, well, when we actually meet, maybe we'll
- 22:02Speaker 5: figure these things out. Right, So we made it a
- 22:05Speaker 5: point to meet yesterday, and you know, immediately I walk
- 22:10Speaker 5: into this restaurant and he is not how he described
- 22:14Speaker 5: himself to be and without getting into too much detail
- 22:18Speaker 5: to make myself look like a huge jerk. I was
- 22:22Speaker 5: a little upset by it, just because you know, we
- 22:24Speaker 5: had talked about things like he told me he spends
- 22:27Speaker 5: an hour and a half in the gym every day, right,
- 22:30Speaker 5: and that.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Is a lie.
- 22:35Speaker 5: I was like, ah, And again, I don't want to
- 22:38Speaker 5: be mean to people.
- 22:39Speaker 2: But you have something that you like, that you're attracted to,
- 22:43Speaker 2: and you've been told by that person that is who
- 22:46Speaker 2: I am, and then you come in to see them
- 22:48Speaker 2: and that is not who they are.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yes, that would be frustrating.
- 22:51Speaker 5: And when we've exchanged pictures and they've been pictures that
- 22:55Speaker 5: don't show that part of a person, they're very you know,
- 22:59Speaker 5: like they on purpose they take it like this so
- 23:01Speaker 5: as to hide. And now that I'm going back looking
- 23:04Speaker 5: at them in hindsight, I'm like, yeah, I should have
- 23:06Speaker 5: noticed that, should have noticed that, but I wasn't thinking
- 23:09Speaker 5: in that way, you know.
- 23:12Speaker 3: So you have to be a.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Detective now, Josh, because I showed up and where's okay?
- 23:17Speaker 5: So here's the thing that really I know and I
- 23:21Speaker 5: don't want to be a church You notice now that
- 23:24Speaker 5: you go back and look at the pictures, you've noticed that.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I noticed that he's taking all the pictures from one
- 23:29Speaker 5: specific angle. And I did not put two and two
- 23:32Speaker 5: together before we met, but afterwards I was like.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Explained, the angle is like one side.
- 23:38Speaker 5: From his right side of his face, his face looking
- 23:41Speaker 5: from the right side of his face.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 5: And so then I show up, and not only when
- 23:46Speaker 5: I show up, he's seated to where his right side
- 23:50Speaker 5: is facing me right, so when I walk in, it's
- 23:52Speaker 5: only his right side. And then he tells me to
- 23:55Speaker 5: sit in the chair that is facing his right side.
- 23:58Speaker 5: So he has this hole, this whole setup.
- 24:01Speaker 3: He's got to figure it out, right.
- 24:03Speaker 5: Then we sit down and I realized, see, I get
- 24:07Speaker 5: don't want I.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Don't want to be a he had an issue with.
- 24:13Speaker 5: I know you're gonna help me out.
- 24:19Speaker 4: Indeed, it's just not what you thought.
- 24:20Speaker 3: It's not what I thought.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Is that okay for me to say like that, it's
- 24:23Speaker 5: not what I thought. When he looked at me head on,
- 24:25Speaker 5: I was like, oh, have you ever seen a pug?
- 24:28Speaker 3: We'll just say that.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Leave it right there, A look.
- 24:31Speaker 5: At you dead in the face, So there you go.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Okay, So, yeah, poor guy, I know, and I don't
- 24:39Speaker 2: just looking for love ever.
- 24:41Speaker 5: Make someone feel bad about themselves. But I just feel
- 24:44Speaker 5: like for me to go into the situation and see that,
- 24:48Speaker 5: and it.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Was almost you.
- 24:51Speaker 5: Can't hide it now, And I just feel bad because
- 24:54Speaker 5: I don't want to say something about it, but I
- 24:56Speaker 5: also want.
- 24:57Speaker 3: To be like, I don't know what I want to like.
- 25:00Speaker 5: And this is where again you have to be a
- 25:02Speaker 5: full on detective dating anymore, because you have to really
- 25:07Speaker 5: decipher people people's photos. I mean, you have to ask
- 25:10Speaker 5: him for the complete three sixty.
- 25:13Speaker 3: It's like when your face It's funny.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I was just looking at a car online a couple
- 25:17Speaker 2: of minutes ago, and they've got those three sixty cameras
- 25:19Speaker 2: now that you put in the car so you can
- 25:21Speaker 2: look it all the way around the inside.
- 25:22Speaker 3: That's what they need for dating.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Well not only that, but you need, you know, like
- 25:25Speaker 5: when you have to do the face ID for your phone,
- 25:27Speaker 5: where like you check your bank account, it has your
- 25:30Speaker 5: face scan.
- 25:31Speaker 3: I need that. I need you Do you think that
- 25:34Speaker 3: guy can give account?
- 25:35Speaker 5: I don't stop it to stop it, do you feel
- 25:39Speaker 5: because that's the thing too. On top of that, I
- 25:42Speaker 5: want to point out that just the vibe when I
- 25:44Speaker 5: sat down, I could tell that Yeah, now I know
- 25:47Speaker 5: why you wanted my phone number so bad. You wanted
- 25:49Speaker 5: to create a relationship, you know what I mean. So
- 25:52Speaker 5: there was so much more into it. But he was
- 25:54Speaker 5: also very combative, like the whole time we argued, and
- 25:57Speaker 5: I'm like, well.
- 26:00Speaker 3: This is great.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Just keep dating because it's given us some awesome stories.
- 26:04Speaker 2: I know, I know there's somebody out there for you.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Or not. Maybe probably not. We've ever seen a pug
- 26:12Speaker 3: A nice thing to say. Good luck, Ky.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Do you want to give a quick update on this
- 26:15Speaker 2: Chicken Fight event that you're going to be.
- 26:17Speaker 3: At and how people can win tickets to it?

- 26:52Speaker 3: That's awesome as much.
- 26:53Speaker 5: As you want.
- 26:54Speaker 3: I know, you're eating pants.
- 26:56Speaker 5: It's a stretchy pants is a stretch or.
- 26:59Speaker 3: You're overall, let's not your classy overall.

- 27:36Speaker 2: One random person each and every day, each day. Yes,
- 27:39Speaker 2: give us a follow Jeremy.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Katie Josh on Instagram. Do you know the wing competition? Yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 3: like like true spicy hot wings.
- 27:46Speaker 5: I already know you're going to eat. Is the normal
- 27:50Speaker 5: wing so I don't think there's any spice factor in it.
- 27:52Speaker 5: But it's who can eat twenty the fastest. So it's
- 27:54Speaker 5: not who can eat the most, it's not yeah, it's
- 27:56Speaker 5: who can eat twenty the fastest.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I gotta ask you, have you been training yo? I
- 28:01Speaker 3: mean trying your whole life.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:03Speaker 3: It's a cute line and everything, like do you make
- 28:06Speaker 3: them at home? And then you're like time.
- 28:07Speaker 5: Yourself eating fast, like I've been trying to eat things
- 28:10Speaker 5: faster than I already do. But I am that person.
- 28:13Speaker 5: You know those videos you see on like social media
- 28:16Speaker 5: where they're like, you know, you married somebody when and
- 28:19Speaker 5: you sit down to eat at the same time and
- 28:21Speaker 5: the guy always finishes. She's always shocked like, oh my god,
- 28:25Speaker 5: I had one bite and you're already done. Like, no,
- 28:28Speaker 5: I'm the person who finishes fat.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I mean, you know what you could throw down.
- 28:32Speaker 2: We should sit down you and I at some point
- 28:34Speaker 2: same meal and see and go at it.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Homie.
- 28:37Speaker 5: This is how this is my lovely Oh man, oh man, Like,
- 28:41Speaker 5: don't tease me.
- 28:42Speaker 2: We need to do this, and we have to make
- 28:45Speaker 2: eye contacts the entire time.
- 28:47Speaker 5: Oh I can make it weird.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Let's go saucy, because that is help. Definitely complaint with
- 28:55Speaker 2: my wife that she's like, we sit down and she's like,
- 28:58Speaker 2: you're done within thirty seconds.
- 29:00Speaker 3: It's always the line, did you even taste still? I'm
- 29:02Speaker 3: like a dog, No, I did, just get it done.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Say like, I don't want it to bite me back.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I get you, well, I smell our own competition at
- 29:12Speaker 2: some point, but it can't be you gotta eat like
- 29:16Speaker 2: you would normally eat. Let's say like you can't like
- 29:18Speaker 2: you can't speed it, can't speed it up. It would
- 29:20Speaker 2: be like we're sitting down at dinner and you gotta
- 29:23Speaker 2: just eat like you normally would.
- 29:25Speaker 3: But see who eats the fastest. What is the point
- 29:26Speaker 3: of this?
- 29:27Speaker 5: I thought we were gonna have it eating competition.
- 29:29Speaker 4: No, it's not like a pie et.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Just we'll flash this out.

- 36:28Speaker 3: Now, little baby, no good, I have one more.
- 36:31Speaker 13: Something could be in the middle, Malcolm and Marley.
- 36:38Speaker 3: So sweet, so sweet. Now, where was this baby conceived?
- 36:42Speaker 16: Oh gosh, you got nothing.
- 36:45Speaker 3: You gotta tell them.

- 37:21Speaker 8: Go Scarlett Johnson.
- 37:31Speaker 3: I'm gonna hold on to that one because there's a

- 37:44Speaker 5: S like very hard.
- 37:47Speaker 2: You know what, once you hang up, you're gonna think
- 37:50Speaker 2: of a bunch of them like d Wayne the Rock Johnson.
- 37:53Speaker 3: But so smooth, Katie.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Thank you for the laugh, Katie, Thank you so much.
- 38:01Speaker 3: You have a great Monday with the kids. All right, guys,
- 38:05Speaker 3: Oh my god, she knows how smooth that was. So smooth.

- 38:31Speaker 3: Oh my, oh yeah, that's money. That is money. I'll
- 38:36Speaker 3: eat anything with a pretzel bun.
- 38:38Speaker 8: I mean it's pretty.
- 38:39Speaker 3: You could shove some cat.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Turns inside of a pretzel bun and I'm eating it
- 38:45Speaker 2: a little far.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 2: You could pull that giant clump of hair out of
- 38:49Speaker 2: the drain in your shower and put it on a
- 38:51Speaker 2: pretzel bun. Down the hatch pretzel buns for us, stop
- 38:57Speaker 2: my gross and yelland yeah yeah he's fine, all right, Landing,

- 39:23Speaker 8: and popeyean Son.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Is that all you got? Perkins? PF Changs?
- 39:30Speaker 5: That's so good?
- 39:37Speaker 3: Where it's okay?
- 39:40Speaker 2: Are you know do you know what you're supposed to
- 39:42Speaker 2: say to me? If you win fast five? You added
- 39:47Speaker 2: an extra winy.
- 39:48Speaker 3: Win in there. Landing gets it done today.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Jared, You, Katie, and Josh makes one.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Hundred, and we're all laughing off the just a little
- 40:00Speaker 2: bit ago because there's little bits and pieces of our
- 40:02Speaker 2: weekends that were so incredibly lame, but we're also happy
- 40:07Speaker 2: about them. I love the story that Josh finally found
- 40:10Speaker 2: out what a cami is, which is kind of cute.
- 40:12Speaker 3: It's funny. I had no idea this guy's got a
- 40:15Speaker 3: steady girlfriend.
- 40:16Speaker 4: You can tell it's crazy.
- 40:17Speaker 3: I just found out what a cami is.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Boring shopping, so much shopping.
- 40:22Speaker 2: We had friends over on I think it would have
- 40:26Speaker 2: been Friday night. And I am eating incredibly clean right now,
- 40:31Speaker 2: and I am not drinking just because I'm just I
- 40:34Speaker 2: need some lifestyle changes, you know.
- 40:36Speaker 3: It's just one of those things. It's like I just
- 40:38Speaker 3: need to change some ways.
- 40:39Speaker 2: So not that I was a raving alcoholic, raging alcohol
- 40:43Speaker 2: raving or raging alcoholic. I was not drinking a lot bit,
- 40:54Speaker 2: but I've just decided to cut alcohol out.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I just eat a whole lot healthier.
- 40:57Speaker 2: I'm going to try to be hitting those protein goals
- 41:00Speaker 2: every day because I kind of feel like this is
- 41:03Speaker 2: my last chance to have that one of those rocking pods.
- 41:07Speaker 5: I'm right there with you, I think that, Yes, exactly,
- 41:11Speaker 5: it's a whole lot of motivation. Well no, it's just
- 41:13Speaker 5: like this, is it right?
- 41:15Speaker 3: I want to show it off like I'm not twenty anymore.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but but like I wanna I wanna be what
- 41:22Speaker 2: do they say, be the best looking dad on the block.
- 41:27Speaker 2: The line that my neighbor gives me across the street is,
- 41:30Speaker 2: don't let the old man in.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Do not let the old man in. He comes in.
- 41:34Speaker 2: As he's got incredibly stark, black dyed hair.
- 41:38Speaker 3: He is not let the old man in, so he's doing.
- 41:40Speaker 3: I love this guy, I love you so much. But anyway,
- 41:42Speaker 3: we had friends over on Friday night.
- 41:44Speaker 2: And we ordered thin crust pizzas with spinach and tomatoes
- 41:51Speaker 2: and black olives and mushrooms on them.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Qu're making that face.
- 41:56Speaker 5: I'm waiting.
- 41:57Speaker 3: I'm actually not even really supposed to be eating pizza. Yeah.
- 41:59Speaker 3: I was like, Okay, I'll do somethin crust with veggies
- 42:01Speaker 3: all over.
- 42:02Speaker 2: And then we all sat around the table and caught
- 42:04Speaker 2: up and instead of a cracking open some cold ones,
- 42:07Speaker 2: having some old fashions, we had hot tea, pizza and
- 42:14Speaker 2: hot tea and we told our friends. They were like,
- 42:18Speaker 2: can we bring anything, and we're like, bring your favorite tea,
- 42:20Speaker 2: and you know what, we sat around, we had hot tea.
- 42:24Speaker 3: We caught up and I gotta tell you, it was
- 42:26Speaker 3: a great night.
- 42:27Speaker 2: We laughed, had we had moments when we had tears
- 42:30Speaker 2: coming down our eyes because we were laughing so much
- 42:32Speaker 2: about stories and just things going on in our lives.
- 42:35Speaker 2: And you know the best part the next day there
- 42:37Speaker 2: was a text thread going back and forth and everyone was.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Like, we don't feel like crape now, we feel fantastic.
- 42:43Speaker 2: It's amazing, isn't it amazing When you don't drink a lot,
- 42:47Speaker 2: you have a great time, you're hanging with good people,
- 42:50Speaker 2: and you don't feel like crap for the next two days. Yeah, No,
- 42:52Speaker 2: I was up peeing about nine times.
- 42:56Speaker 5: So much tea A little teeny tiny bladder, yeah are
- 43:00Speaker 5: you wow?
- 43:01Speaker 3: Know I got that it was a big bladder. I
- 43:04Speaker 3: got a big bladder, girl, But yeah, it was.
- 43:06Speaker 2: It was just so nice and we all agreed at
- 43:08Speaker 2: the end of the night, when everybody's going home, They're like,
- 43:10Speaker 2: you know what, this was so incredibly lame, but it
- 43:12Speaker 2: was so incredibly refreshing.
- 43:14Speaker 5: Is we still change up?
- 43:15Speaker 2: It really was, so I encourage people to do that
- 43:17Speaker 2: every now and then. Ditch the booze, try to have
- 43:19Speaker 2: a dry night with your friends, and I think you'll
- 43:23Speaker 2: appreciate your uh, your body and your lifestyle for the
- 43:26Speaker 2: rest of the weekend.
- 43:27Speaker 3: I really do.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Now I had to laugh too, because then I hopped
- 43:30Speaker 2: on on Sunday and I saw Katie's lame weekends like.
- 43:34Speaker 3: I was on a light ray.
- 43:35Speaker 5: I did for the first time ever, so shocking to
- 43:38Speaker 5: me because you've lived here for years, you know, and
- 43:40Speaker 5: everyone has said that to me. I got so many
- 43:42Speaker 5: messages that were like, wait, you've never ridden the light rail.
- 43:45Speaker 5: I'm like, I've never had the need to ride the
- 43:47Speaker 5: light rail. I've just never done it. But we went
- 43:50Speaker 5: to a concert out at Fiddler's on Friday night, the
- 43:52Speaker 5: Sublime concert with three eleven and Slightly Stupid Nice.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Just got a little less lame.
- 43:58Speaker 5: But I know, yeah, I rode the light rail. Was
- 44:01Speaker 5: pretty awesome. But it was the first time I ever
- 44:04Speaker 5: wrote it, and I was just like, you know, I'm
- 44:05Speaker 5: gonna make a video, and I sure did and it
- 44:07Speaker 5: was just like it was fun.
- 44:09Speaker 3: What'd you think of it?
- 44:10Speaker 5: It was clean, it was nice and like got me
- 44:14Speaker 5: from A to B super quick, like works just like
- 44:18Speaker 5: it said it was gonna work stopping every couple like
- 44:21Speaker 5: it stops at every station.
- 44:23Speaker 3: What station did you get on it?
- 44:24Speaker 5: We got on it Lincoln, so the very South, and
- 44:28Speaker 5: then we drove it up to a rapa hose, so
- 44:29Speaker 5: not too many stops because we just went up to Fiddler's.
- 44:32Speaker 3: But it's funny because boy.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Like I tell you what. So we rode the light
- 44:36Speaker 5: rail up to a rapp a hose and we walked
- 44:39Speaker 5: to Fiddler's. We watched the entire show for some reason
- 44:43Speaker 5: at that show man, I don't know if it's all
- 44:45Speaker 5: that walking or all that screaming, but I sure was hungry.
- 44:48Speaker 5: So then we walked from Fiddler's over to shake Shack,
- 44:53Speaker 5: and then we walked from Shake Shack back to the
- 44:55Speaker 5: light rail station, and then we rode the light rail
- 44:57Speaker 5: back to my friend Violet's house, and then we walked
- 44:59Speaker 5: back to violence house. So we did shake tuble walking,
- 45:03Speaker 5: a lot of walking, but it was nice.
- 45:05Speaker 3: It was a good I'm glad to hear it went well.
- 45:08Speaker 5: And I've never made my way around a concert like
- 45:11Speaker 5: that with the light rail as my transportation.
- 45:13Speaker 3: So I will do that again.
- 45:14Speaker 5: One hundred times.
- 45:15Speaker 3: I'll do that again. I'm glad it worked out well
- 45:17Speaker 3: for you. I went to college down at the Rarea campus.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Yeah, so I had it was two and a half
- 45:23Speaker 2: years or whatever because I been transferred down there. Of
- 45:26Speaker 2: writing the light rail back and forth from that college
- 45:29Speaker 2: campus each and every day, so.
- 45:31Speaker 3: You have a lot, and I vowed to never be
- 45:34Speaker 3: on it again. It did well.
- 45:37Speaker 2: I don't want to bash the light rail, but you know,
- 45:39Speaker 2: there was some clientele on there that I was just
- 45:42Speaker 2: uncomfortable with on numerous occasions. And it's just a lot,
- 45:45Speaker 2: you know, I'm a bit of a germophobe, and there
- 45:47Speaker 2: was at times, you know, especially when schools starting, schools
- 45:50Speaker 2: letting out works, you know, going and letting out.
- 45:53Speaker 3: There's just a lot of body on body action in there.
- 45:56Speaker 8: You know.
- 45:57Speaker 3: I was wasn't it comfortable.
- 45:58Speaker 4: With non consensual rub against it?
- 46:00Speaker 3: Just a lot of rubbing against each other. You have
- 46:02Speaker 3: people urinating on it, which was me, but no, so
- 46:08Speaker 3: I just kind of bowed. I was like, you know
- 46:09Speaker 3: what I did my I've done my part.
- 46:11Speaker 2: I used public transportation for a couple of years, and
- 46:14Speaker 2: I just so I was curious to see how your
- 46:16Speaker 2: night went.
- 46:17Speaker 3: And I'm glad you had a big smile on your
- 46:19Speaker 3: face in the videos.
- 46:19Speaker 5: Well, we were the only people aside from one other
- 46:22Speaker 5: person on that light rail. So maybe that's why when
- 46:26Speaker 5: you say Robin elbows, I was like, there was that.
- 46:29Speaker 2: There was many times where I would be sitting there
- 46:31Speaker 2: in the seat and you know, you'd look to the
- 46:33Speaker 2: right or left or whatever and somebody's belly was like
- 46:36Speaker 2: on my face.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Yeah, like straight up belly on face, and as one does.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exactly. So anyway, I'm glad it was good
- 46:49Speaker 2: for you. I talked to a friend a couple of
- 46:53Speaker 2: days ago. He had the best one that he told me, Uh, sadly,
- 46:58Speaker 2: he had a little niece passed away in his family.
- 47:01Speaker 3: So they had a funeral for the niece and everything.
- 47:04Speaker 2: And at the funeral, they I think she was like
- 47:07Speaker 2: six years old or something like that, five five, maybe.
- 47:10Speaker 3: It was five, I don't remember. Anyway, they released five red.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Balloons up into the sky at the funeral because she
- 47:16Speaker 2: loved balloons and she loved the color red, he said,
- 47:19Speaker 2: no joke. The uh next five days at her house,
- 47:25Speaker 2: at the niece's mom's house, every day a balloon landed
- 47:30Speaker 2: in their yard. It was a red balloon, so it's
- 47:33Speaker 2: almost like the red balloons went up in the air,
- 47:35Speaker 2: the wind caught them, whatever. But every day for the
- 47:38Speaker 2: next five days, a red balloon landed somewhere in their yard.
- 47:42Speaker 5: That just came my whole body chills.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Wild, isn't it. I was like, shit, Ap, you're making
- 47:47Speaker 3: that up.
- 47:47Speaker 2: He's like, oh no. And it got to the point
- 47:49Speaker 2: like we're on the fourth and fifth day, like they
- 47:51Speaker 2: were waiting to see, like where are they at what time?
- 47:55Speaker 3: What's it happened? When are they going to land where?
- 47:57Speaker 2: And sure enough he said, they got pictures every day,
- 48:01Speaker 2: five different days of these balloons that landed in the yard,
- 48:03Speaker 2: and they're like, these.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Have to be the ones from the funeral.
- 48:06Speaker 2: This has to be the niece, you know, speaking to
- 48:08Speaker 2: us from the great beyond.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Isn't that a wild story? It's just so.
- 48:12Speaker 5: Sweet and heartwarming for such a situation that's heavy and
- 48:15Speaker 5: just impossible to deal with. So yeah, I love that
- 48:18Speaker 5: those parents were able to have a little love sent
- 48:21Speaker 5: back to them.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Yeah, because they needed that. So do you have stories
- 48:25Speaker 3: like that?
- 48:26Speaker 2: Has somebody spoken to you from the gray beyond? Phone
- 48:29Speaker 2: lines are ringing right now three h three six nine one,
- 48:32Speaker 2: sixteen forty nine, Do you have one at all?
- 48:34Speaker 3: I even just deadly.
- 48:36Speaker 5: My dad passed away in twenty nineteen, so it's been
- 48:38Speaker 5: a few years now. But just when I went to
- 48:40Speaker 5: the Rockies game on Father's Day, obviously I was thinking
- 48:44Speaker 5: of my dad a lot that day. I saw everybody
- 48:47Speaker 5: with their fathers, and my dad was a huge Spider
- 48:50Speaker 5: Man fan, and so the fact that this movie's come
- 48:52Speaker 5: out and it's so big this year makes me think
- 48:54Speaker 5: of him a lot. But there was a little kid
- 48:56Speaker 5: in a Rockies jersey and purple hair, and he had
- 48:59Speaker 5: Spider Man shoes on right in front of me, and
- 49:02Speaker 5: immediately it made me think of my dad. So even again,
- 49:05Speaker 5: we're talking about signs where you know, you just can't
- 49:08Speaker 5: help but think of them, and you know, that entire day,
- 49:12Speaker 5: I just like was just brought to tears with that
- 49:15Speaker 5: thought of those you know, little Spider Man shoes lighting
- 49:18Speaker 5: up in front of me, because it really made me
- 49:20Speaker 5: think of my dad and really put a smile on
- 49:22Speaker 5: my face. So but Yeah, those things happen all the
- 49:25Speaker 5: time with him.
- 49:25Speaker 2: I love this one from Heather that came in on
- 49:27Speaker 2: my Facebook because I posted about this over the weekend.
- 49:30Speaker 3: She says, yes, I totally have one.
- 49:31Speaker 2: She says, my dad passed away about a month ago,
- 49:35Speaker 2: but we had a camera going in his room because
- 49:38Speaker 2: they were keeping an eye on him, sounds like, and
- 49:41Speaker 2: she said, this was his pillow the next day and
- 49:44Speaker 2: there's actual some like ring cam footage and I hit
- 49:47Speaker 2: play and.
- 49:48Speaker 3: It looks like the pillows were all propped up bed
- 49:50Speaker 3: was made.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Come nighttime, the ring cam kicked on for some reason
- 49:54Speaker 2: and the pillow kind of slid down and it looked
- 49:58Speaker 2: like somebody was laying there like sleeping.
- 50:01Speaker 5: Oh.
- 50:01Speaker 2: And she's like, it looks like my dad was there
- 50:03Speaker 2: for like one final night. WHOA, that's trippy right there.
- 50:11Speaker 2: That one got me three zho.
- 50:12Speaker 3: Three six nine one sixteen forty nine. Let me take
- 50:15Speaker 3: I'll take one of these before we hop into Mindy's
- 50:19Speaker 3: been holding Hi Mindy Hii.
- 50:22Speaker 13: Wow that last story just oh, I just wanted to
- 50:24Speaker 13: start crying, I know.
- 50:26Speaker 2: And I'm watching the video and I was like watching
- 50:28Speaker 2: the pillow like change form and I was like, no, way.
- 50:32Speaker 14: Oh so creepy.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Wow, okay, cool, right, yeah, what's your sign from the
- 50:38Speaker 2: great beyond?
- 50:39Speaker 13: So my father I have two of them. My father
- 50:43Speaker 13: died in two thousand and one, and it shortly after
- 50:47Speaker 13: that my husband went to the police academy and it
- 50:52Speaker 13: was like he spent like six months away from home
- 50:55Speaker 13: except for on the weekends. And one night I was
- 51:00Speaker 13: dead asleep. I woke up and I looked and I
- 51:05Speaker 13: saw this like white figure floating above me, and it
- 51:11Speaker 13: kind of startled me a little bit, and I knew
- 51:15Speaker 13: it was him because he then like put his hands
- 51:19Speaker 13: like on his cheek and like tipped his head, like
- 51:22Speaker 13: telling me it's okay, just go back to sleep, because
- 51:25Speaker 13: he never wanted me to be scared or anything. And
- 51:28Speaker 13: what was also really crazy is my father was in
- 51:31Speaker 13: a wheelchair from the time I was fourteen days old,
- 51:36Speaker 13: and here he was standing, and so that was that
- 51:40Speaker 13: was that was cool. But I just knew it was him.
- 51:43Speaker 17: I felt it was.
- 51:44Speaker 13: Him just telling me it's it's it's okay, you don't
- 51:47Speaker 13: need to be scared and go back to sleep.
- 51:49Speaker 18: And another heavy one, Mindy's I can tell by your
- 51:55Speaker 18: voice you're like still like kind of choked up and
- 51:58Speaker 18: it's kind of an intense feeling for you.
- 52:00Speaker 17: Yeah, it is pretty well.
- 52:03Speaker 13: The second one was we used to have a great
- 52:06Speaker 13: day lab named Dixie, and she unfortunately passed away from
- 52:12Speaker 13: bone cancer. Well, my husband had fallen asleep on the
- 52:16Speaker 13: couch and in the middle of the night he woke
- 52:19Speaker 13: up and he felt her laying on him.
- 52:23Speaker 2: And there's all sorts of paranormal activity going on with
- 52:27Speaker 2: the manby. We got to hit a couple more calls
- 52:29Speaker 2: because we have full phone lines. But thank you so
- 52:31Speaker 2: much for sharing your hereafter stories. Here's Bonnie. Hi, Bonnie, Hi, Hi,
- 52:37Speaker 2: really quick, what's your what's your story?
- 52:40Speaker 17: Well, unfortunately three of my sisters had passed away, and
- 52:43Speaker 17: they all came back and flickered my kitchen lights.
- 52:46Speaker 3: Oh h.
- 52:49Speaker 5: How soon is it?
- 52:50Speaker 11: Like?
- 52:50Speaker 3: Pretty like quickly after they passed a week?
- 52:53Speaker 17: Yeah. So the first time it happened was when my
- 52:55Speaker 17: sister passed away from cancer and the lights were like
- 52:59Speaker 17: flippering for about a week in my kitchen and I'm like, huh,
- 53:02Speaker 17: I think I might be hurt. And then my second sister,
- 53:05Speaker 17: we knew she was going to pass soon, and so
- 53:07Speaker 17: I said, hey, you know, Sarah flickered the lights. Go
- 53:09Speaker 17: ahead and flicker the lights when you, you know, get across
- 53:11Speaker 17: and tell us that you're okay. I didn't tell anyone.
- 53:14Speaker 17: That was a conversation between me and her. And the
- 53:17Speaker 17: next day I was staying home from work and my kids,
- 53:19Speaker 17: who were like five and seven, I'm running upstairs my mom, Mom,
- 53:22Speaker 17: there's a ghost. The lights are flickering really crazy in
- 53:25Speaker 17: the kitchen. And I was like what And I was like, well,
- 53:28Speaker 17: that's just your aunt Wendy. She's just telling us she's okay.
- 53:31Speaker 17: Oh okay, that no big differ. She loved so she
- 53:35Speaker 17: loved holidays.
- 53:36Speaker 4: Yeah, and she then So.
- 53:38Speaker 17: That was early November. Then Thanksgiving Day they flickered for
- 53:42Speaker 17: like twenty minutes and not just like the did, but
- 53:45Speaker 17: like sentences and like bright and then low, like the
- 53:49Speaker 17: light's never easy. And then also on Christmas Day. So
- 53:55Speaker 17: then I videotaped it, so I've got video of this
- 53:57Speaker 17: conversation that you know, she was having with us. I
- 54:00Speaker 17: just don't speak flickering light.
- 54:01Speaker 3: So you got to send that to us. I want
- 54:03Speaker 3: to see it. I want to see that too. Absolutely.
- 54:06Speaker 17: Yeah, it's just incredible. You know, it made me like
- 54:09Speaker 17: I don't know, I believe some stuff, but it was
- 54:12Speaker 17: like that. I'm like, you can't tell me that wasn't her.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, you've got to feel some sort of like
- 54:17Speaker 2: I don't even know if closure is the right word
- 54:19Speaker 2: for that, but like you just got to connection and
- 54:22Speaker 2: like it's okay, Yeah, it's gonna be all right. O.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Bonnie love the story. We really appreciate you. That's awesome.
- 54:29Speaker 3: Here is Alison. Hi, Alison, Welcome to the show.
- 54:33Speaker 16: Hi guys, Hey, you all right?
- 54:35Speaker 3: What was the sign from the Great Beyond?
- 54:38Speaker 16: So about two nine twenty ten, one of my cousins
- 54:42Speaker 16: passed away. I didn't really get to meet her in person,
- 54:45Speaker 16: but she was a dancer all throughout her life, and
- 54:50Speaker 16: every time I think about her, I always see either
- 54:54Speaker 16: a hawk or an eagle going.
- 54:56Speaker 3: By no way, So it's like every time me think of.
- 54:59Speaker 16: Her, yeah, it's crazy.
- 55:02Speaker 3: It's one of one of these.
- 55:06Speaker 2: See now we're talking about it and I just played it.
- 55:09Speaker 3: It's a sign.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it was wild too. I'm loving these. Hey, John,
- 55:15Speaker 2: welcome to the show, Buddy.
- 55:17Speaker 7: Good morning, JKJ.
- 55:19Speaker 13: How are you guys?
- 55:20Speaker 3: We're super dupes man, So really quick? What was the
- 55:25Speaker 3: sign that you received?
- 55:27Speaker 14: Well, my father had fallen ill in the early nineteen eighties.
- 55:34Speaker 7: And his health was really going downhill. And he passed
- 55:38Speaker 7: away on Labor Day weekend in nineteen eighty one, and
- 55:42Speaker 7: we were faced with having to wait a little while
- 55:45Speaker 7: to do the burial because of the holiday. But on
- 55:50Speaker 7: September ninth, we had his memorial Mass and everything else,
- 55:55Speaker 7: and I got home to my folks house and my backyard.
- 55:59Speaker 7: Folks yard was a huge garden, and my dad took
- 56:03Speaker 7: so much pride in it, and fruit trees and everything else.
- 56:06Speaker 8: And shortly before he.
- 56:07Speaker 14: Died, this little tiny peach tree in the backyard had
- 56:11Speaker 14: a single peach on it, and it's gotten bigger and
- 56:14Speaker 14: bigger and bigger, and my dad had admired it and
- 56:17Speaker 14: watched it and everything else. So when we got home
- 56:20Speaker 14: from the memorial service, the peach had fallen onto the ground.
- 56:26Speaker 14: It sent me a message kind of like, you know,
- 56:29Speaker 14: it's time, and uh, you know, I'll always remember that
- 56:33Speaker 14: very much, John.
- 56:35Speaker 3: I was kind of hoping there was a bite out
- 56:37Speaker 3: of the beach.
- 56:43Speaker 2: That is very sweet, though the peach was ready, you know,
- 56:46Speaker 2: the peach had fallen.
- 56:47Speaker 3: All right, Let's wrap things up with Justin, Hi, Justin
- 56:49Speaker 3: good morning, good morning, sir. What's your sign? Man?
- 56:55Speaker 15: So, my grandpa passed away a few years ago and
- 56:59Speaker 15: my mom inherited the house and so we were moving
- 57:03Speaker 15: her into the house and all this and that, and
- 57:05Speaker 15: I stayed with her for a few and you kept
- 57:09Speaker 15: hearing footsteps upstairs, like somebody was like walking up and
- 57:12Speaker 15: down the hallway and everything, and you know, it was
- 57:15Speaker 15: freaking me out. You know, I don't like paranormal stuff.
- 57:18Speaker 15: And my Mom's like, just haul her out. Grandpa stops.
- 57:21Speaker 15: She's like, that's what I do. I tell him. I
- 57:23Speaker 15: tell him all the time. Dad stop, and then it
- 57:25Speaker 15: just stops.
- 57:25Speaker 10: And so I was.
- 57:27Speaker 15: Sitting down there and I heard it one day, just
- 57:29Speaker 15: going going upstairs, back and forth down the hallway, and
- 57:33Speaker 15: I hollered. I was like, Grandpa stop. And I didn't
- 57:36Speaker 15: hear nothing for the rest of the night. I am
- 57:40Speaker 15: being dead serious. And then the next morning, whenever I
- 57:43Speaker 15: woke up, I heard it again and I ran upstairs
- 57:47Speaker 15: because I was like, man, somebody's got to be here,
- 57:49Speaker 15: and nobody's there, like the house is completely empty. I'm
- 57:52Speaker 15: the only one there. I was like, oh no, I
- 57:54Speaker 15: can't even do this, and like nope. And then I
- 57:56Speaker 15: told my MoMA. I was like, Hey, I'm going to
- 57:59Speaker 15: go back to my apartment. I can't. I can't say
- 58:02Speaker 15: here like this. I can't do it.
- 58:04Speaker 3: Wow. Do you guys hear it anymore?
- 58:07Speaker 15: She hears it every night, literally every night to this day,
- 58:12Speaker 15: to this day, dude, And she always talks to her
- 58:16Speaker 15: dad and stuff. Wait all the time. She'll even and
- 58:21Speaker 15: like listen, do you hear it? And then she'll video
- 58:23Speaker 15: the the walking up and down the hallway, and then
- 58:26Speaker 15: she'll video her talking to her dad and stuff. And
- 58:30Speaker 15: there's also she believes that there's this blue jay that
- 58:34Speaker 15: comes up to the house almost every day and she
- 58:38Speaker 15: thinks that's her dad saying hi as well too.
- 58:40Speaker 3: So that is stuff, man, That is pretty wild.
- 58:45Speaker 15: And I never I never met my grandpa until I
- 58:48Speaker 15: was like twenty five twenty six years old.
- 58:52Speaker 3: Wow.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Man, Well, we appreciate you calling in justin thank you.
- 58:55Speaker 2: That one is trippy. That one's really trippy.
- 58:57Speaker 5: What steps always get me?
- 59:00Speaker 2: Anything I can attribute that to is wouldn't it be
- 59:02Speaker 2: funny if they got a video of this blue jay
- 59:04Speaker 2: wearing giant boots walking over anyone else?
- 59:11Speaker 8: Please?
- 59:12Speaker 3: You thought you'd heard.
- 59:12Speaker 18: It all just when you've seen everything not even close.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Who's spiraling, who's getting canceled?
- 59:19Speaker 3: What's the local buzz? What can we expect?
- 59:22Speaker 5: We're diving headfirst into the chaos.
- 59:24Speaker 1: It's the mile high height.
- 59:26Speaker 3: Yeah, what's up?
- 59:26Speaker 5: What's up?
- 59:27Speaker 1: What's up with jkj on nix one hundred?
- 59:30Speaker 2: Well, I know everybody is dying to know about Kylie
- 59:33Speaker 2: Jenner's birthday party this weekend.
- 59:35Speaker 3: That's why I came into work today. Uh Kai Kai
- 59:38Speaker 3: actually turns twenty nine today, but she celebrated with.
- 59:42Speaker 2: A pink themed birthday party over the weekend.
- 59:46Speaker 3: Yeah, shere, my birthday's gonna be pink.
- 59:50Speaker 6: She looked awesome, had a tight pink dress she did,
- 59:53Speaker 6: and her shoes were so fluffy.
- 59:56Speaker 3: Rooms they loved them.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Their furry and fluffy.
- 59:58Speaker 3: It's so really huge. Yeah, yeah, she looked really good. Anyway,
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I was looking at the cake this morning.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: So the cake was molded to look like her torso
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: and hips essentially, And the cake had a pink bikini
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: on and there was some candles on it that we're
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: sticking out of the nippleese and then there was the
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: word mew written all over the bikini bottom. Boy boy,
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: it even had a pierced belly button. Yeah, it was
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: pretty fancy.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: It looks greatly.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Thing I can think of is if I was invited
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: to that Versus birthday party and I disappeared for a
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: little bit, you'd probably find me in the kitchen. Yeah, well,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: an American pie on that cake?
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: No, geeze, why not? I got a candle in my eyes.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: Show Yeah, on top of that cake. No no, no, no, no,
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: it's so tasty.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: No no, no, no else, No no no no, Jerry,
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: what are you doing to that cake?
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: I can help it.
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: I love cake.
- 1:00:58Speaker 12: Uh.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: Denver's minimum wages going up from nineteen eighty four to nope,
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: check that it's nineteen twenty nine right now, up to
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: nineteen eighty four starting January first. Food service workers are
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: going from sixteen twenty seven to sixteen eighty two.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: So if you're out there.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Kicking butt in the workforce, just like us, we're gonna
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: be getting raised.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: We make minimum ways.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Here, so we got a little something something coming next
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: year in our checks.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Judging is right. Yeah, so that's good news.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: I got one more local ish thing for you today
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: is something.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Called Colorado's Ride.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Three hundred cyclists begin a five day, three hundred plus
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: mile tour through south central and southwest Colorado.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: So the route, the route, the route, the route. The
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: route is from Crested Butte towards Univista. That's how you
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: say it. I know, just annoying, know, I just want
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: all the text.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Then later stages include two eighty five into Salida over
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Monarch Pass, Gunnison, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and then
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: they returned to.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Crested Crusty butt by Friday.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: So just to heads up anybody planning to go, uh,
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: those routes seven thirty in the morning to four thirty
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: at night each day, you might bump.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: Into three hundred cyclists on the road taking up space.
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: And those mountain roads too, that's the.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Worst twisty curvy slow Sea saying no highway closures are planned. Oh,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: but they're reminding people of Colorado's three foot passing loss.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: So you gotta be three feet away from the cyclist
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: when you try to when there's.
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Three hundred of them, How do you do that?
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Just don't pass up, you do not pass and then you.
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: Wallet them. Just be careful if there's gonna be that
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: many of them out there.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: Who really wants to do this? Every three are miles.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: Really, you know, a wife ner, are you trying to
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: impress up that nobody cares?
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: Get on a stationary boy?
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: Can play anything else? Can? Okay? Yeah? Can we talk
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: about the grizzly bears out of Shy Mountains?
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: I wish you would, because they're doing a little thing
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: where you can help name the grizzly bears and you know,
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: for a five dollars minimum donation, you're also helping the
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: Grizzly Bear and the Vital Ground Foundation work to protect
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: and restore North America as a wild grizzly bear population.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Doesn't go right to the grizzly bears, it does.
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: Yeah, it goes to all the grizzly bears who need
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: that money.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: You know, you show up to the zoo. Bears have
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: giant gold chains on. You know how to do ven?
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: They don't know how to do that yet, so this
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: is this is their attempt at that. But it's actually
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: pretty cute because they have the two little roly pully
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: eight month old grizzly bear cubs out at the Shyanne
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: Mountain Zoo. So what you're doing is you're picking the
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: combination of names so you can pick between meadow and forest,
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: Scout and ranger or Aspen and yarrow. So those are
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: the three that you like.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: Scouting Rangers, I would.
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: Because I like that the trees, that's kind of what
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: they're voting.
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: That's q too.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: Yeah, but again, you can go and vote in increments
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: of five dollars, at least five dollars to go vote
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: for what name that you like. And then now through
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: August twenty fifth, they're going to take all those votes
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: and announce the winners on their social media pages for
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: the Shayan Mountain Zoo. But I love when they do
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: this because again they're getting some proceeds from the naming
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: campaign to support all of their grizzly bear populations. They're
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: also making it fun for all of the community members.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: It'll be funny.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: They had all those cute names, and then then like
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: option five was Savage and Predator.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: I'd like to write and vote, please, I'd like to
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: vote for Savage.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Can we name the bear face eater?
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: You're right, yeah, I'm just surprised Yogi and Boopoo aren't.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: That's like the most iconic generic but it''s not even
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: an option, not even an option. But yeah, so you
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: can vote now again through August twenty fifth, and then
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: I guess maybe that's all the time.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Wait, I'm sorry, that's all the time.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Time We talked too long about Kai Kai's Yeah, talk
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: too long, kylieur.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: So take our.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Time, so shut for a quickly one hundred report really quick.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: If you're out in shopping for an e bike, if
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: you're in the market for one, hang tig. Colorado is
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: bringing back as statewide e bike rebate program.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: That's starting August twenty fourth.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: They've got about three million bucks of for grabs, so
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: if you're a qualified buyer, you can receive about one
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: thousand dollars towards the standard e bike, with another three
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: hundred dollars available for cargo or adaptive bikes. And that's
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: on top of the separate two hundred and twenty five
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: dollars point of sale e bike tax credit.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: At participating retailers.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Bottom line, though, if you're out looking for an e
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: bike and you want to save some cash, August twenty
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: fourth is when those rebate programs.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: So that's when you want to buy. And how about this.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: Engineers at the University of Texas has developed a jacket
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: that is capable of pulling up to just shy of
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: about two pints of drinkable water.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: From the air on a daily basis.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: And they say this is gonna be perfect for athletes,
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: especially people who are like hikers and long distance runners,
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: maybe hunters even. Yeah, and if you're in a situation
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: where you need water, this jacket will absorb water from
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: the air. It's got a hydrogel fabric called.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Air gel, and it.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Sucks the moisture out of the air and the next
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: thing you know, you're drinking water out of your pocket.
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: I don't even figure that out, I know, and science,
- 1:06:44Speaker 11: what is the process?
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: Is it like a squeegee into a cup from the jacket?
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: It's exactly what it is. You ring it out into
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: your mouth.
- 1:06:51Speaker 15: Do you?
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: I think so I'm making all that up.
- 1:06:55Speaker 12: That's true.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: There's probably a little cup inside.
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: Like a pouch.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, like a kangaroo. You don't want to it's
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: a kangaroo jacket. Now, I'm on board.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Much better put your face in the pouch on board
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: and you're like, I am hydrated.
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: A different way to sheolt this.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: You could be a kangaroo done. That's how you do it.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: That's how Josh, what else is going on well. I
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: feel like we've.
- 1:07:16Speaker 11: All listened to a commentator once in our life and
- 1:07:18Speaker 11: been like I could do so much better than that.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: Yes, that's right.
- 1:07:21Speaker 11: Well, a man named Lewis Cobb actually got the chance.
- 1:07:24Speaker 11: So essentially, the Philadelphia Phillies have an annual charity auction
- 1:07:27Speaker 11: that you can bid on certain things, and one of
- 1:07:29Speaker 11: the prizes was calling the game for an inning, and
- 1:07:32Speaker 11: Lewis Cobb bid twenty two thousand dollars to do so
- 1:07:35Speaker 11: and nailed it. The guy absolutely crushed it, and we
- 1:07:38Speaker 11: have a little SoundBite of what he sounded like.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Is his last name as in Corn on the.
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: Well, it's spelled differently, but it's pronounced Cob.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Yes, hey, okay, just double checking. Here is is Lewis.
- 1:07:48Speaker 12: Welcome, glad to have you here, Thank you, Scott. It's
- 1:07:51Speaker 12: a thrilled to be here. It's a lifelowing draam to
- 1:07:53Speaker 12: be in the Phillies broadcast booth. So here we go, Pater.
- 1:07:57Speaker 12: But the first pitch do our teams that's in there
- 1:07:59Speaker 12: for strike call fills with two in the bottom of
- 1:08:01Speaker 12: the second it's to take the lead.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Does you have a call?
- 1:08:04Speaker 12: You start at the top of the third note till
- 1:08:05Speaker 12: he's winning the first two games of this series, one
- 1:08:08Speaker 12: more to go tomorrow night, and then the three games
- 1:08:10Speaker 12: set with the Blue Jays up at the weekend.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: All right, I'm impressed. You do good.
- 1:08:14Speaker 11: He's a seventy three year old seb three years old.
- 1:08:17Speaker 11: I think he called it like how we used to
- 1:08:19Speaker 11: sit at home and listen to the radio by his bedside.
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: Don't you think totally?
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: I think so old school. Now, honey, bring me a beer.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: All right, just like I'm at home. Here comes her pitch.
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: He's a little more in asual. Yeah, she said, we
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: got a banner on first.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: Who's on second?
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: A runner on first?
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: Yeah you don't have I don't first.
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: This game's got crazy. We got a banner on first,
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: on checond, hand off her. We got banners everywhere.
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: There's my wife frowning home.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Come here, baby.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: She's got the mic, the mocksy, and a brain full
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: of Doctor Phil reruns.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: She's on me like a duck on a june bug.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: But can you take that?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Katie in pop culture SmackDown. This is Katie Rush.
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: It is time. It's gonna get intense.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: I think it's Dan the Man, Hi Dan, Good morning,

- 1:09:43Speaker 16: No?
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: Everything secondhand?
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:09:44Speaker 10: We take people's unwanted items and then we find it
- 1:09:46Speaker 10: a new home, whether it's donation, given to families, a need,
- 1:09:49Speaker 10: reselling fish and cleaning.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: All good.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: You're a good human. But I want a new bed.
- 1:09:56Speaker 10: Absolutely cool, I understand.

- 1:10:28Speaker 3: Absolutely, Buddy, we're good for you.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you and Katie the same five questions,
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: best out of five wins, and then ties.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Go to Katie because she's a da for you. And
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: sometimes if I'm in a good mood, I just hand
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: out the price anywhere.
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: Sometimes anything you work for it, I just hope you
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: can build it, like build a wind ither'.
- 1:10:50Speaker 10: Here just coming for you.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: I think Katie just had a stroke. Okay, so she's
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: leaving the studio. She goes into a room where she
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: can't hear anything.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: I come up with a questions, so there's no cheating, Dan,
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: and then we'll find out if you're roy right or
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: wrong once we bring her back in the studios.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: So let's go ahead and get it on. Here's your

- 1:11:19Speaker 3: Not a bad Yes, I'll write that down. Here's your
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: second question.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: What food brand has a mascot named Poppin' Fresh?
- 1:11:30Speaker 10: Oh my gosh, Spearmint spearmint.

- 1:11:49Speaker 2: What type of animals are timone and Pumba from the

- 1:12:12Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: And your fifth and final question might remember this brand

- 1:12:20Speaker 3: stand for?

- 1:12:42Speaker 3: feels pretty confident.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: I think that he did pretty good, so I don't
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: want to intimidate you or anything.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: Katie.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: All right, Katie, kat uh, Well, let me get my

- 1:13:12Speaker 3: was that?
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: I don't know? Yeah that Yeah, he went on to
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: have a podcast and yeah, yeah something Dan. Jenny McCarthy
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: was the only poster that my mom ever let me
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: put up in my bedroom that was like a girly poster,
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: but it had to show Oh really, Oh god.
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: It was huge show before reality dating was a thing.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: I had to put that poster behind my door though,
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: so in case the company came over and went directly
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: to my room, they wouldn't see it.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: It was a little aggressive. It was smoking hot, Jenny.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: What food brand has a mascot named popping Fresh?
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: Oh? Right, the pills? Very dumb boy?

- 1:14:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Dan, you were close.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: You set a war hog and a prairie dog. Yeah,
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: although I can see where you would think, Katie, what
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: was the last name of the family on Home Improvement.
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: Randy Taylor had a spot on my Walls.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: Dan got that one too.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: Dan finally got one, and then Katie, what fu boo
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: stand for?
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: Remember still around? I think it is.
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: I think it might be it was for us by us.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: Dan got that one too, Yay.
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: But sadly Daniel only got two and Katie literally crushed
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: it today because she got all five.
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: Brushed you, buddy. But Dan, I'm in a good mood today.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: I want to give you the prize anyway, just because.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're a hard working dad and it was
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: really really nice talking to you. So I'm gonna hook
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: you up today.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: Broa.
- 1:15:16Speaker 5: You were fine.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:15:18Speaker 12: Dan,
