- 0:10What does the nanny do? OK, so we're done.
- 0:13Goodbye. You shut it off.
- 0:17Do not twist my words. Do not make me a victim,
- 0:20sweetie. Just look at the mountain.
- 0:22That's what you saw. That day, just the knife in the
- 0:26kidneys over all these years and
- 0:32love you. We're at season 5 episode 8 hard
- 0:51to say goodbye. It's not that hard for Kody's
- 0:57hair to say goodbye, as we are
- 1:01Kennedy, the hair stylist of the
- 1:04Hair stylist of the stars, OH.
- 1:11Brown. Oh, this better be on her
- 1:14fucking LinkedIn, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:15It better be because she made that surfer hair happen for at
- 1:19least one year. It's true.
- 1:24It's true. So welcome back to Part 2 of
- 1:27this fabulous episode where we
- 1:31dire straits. And everyone was probably going,
- 1:33what the hell is going on with
- 1:35And we're going to continue on
- 1:38Kody is sitting in a stylus chair being spun around, but in
- 1:43a living room, and I'm going like what the fuck am I seeing?
- 1:47What is happening here? Well, it all makes sense, even
- 1:50though it doesn't make sense. There's like a Baker's rack with
- 1:53all of her charcuterie of hair
- 1:58Of hair products, yes. Oh my God.
- 2:02She has some concerns. Kody is at a hair appointment
- 2:08with Kennedy. Kennedy is doing Kody's hair and
- 2:13Kennedy does Kody and Meri's hair.
- 2:16They let us know she. Does.
- 2:18So this is not just Kody's stylist, this is also Meri's
- 2:22stylist. And she has some concerns about
- 2:26Kody's hair, and she should have
- 2:29Meri's hair, but she has concerns about Kody's hair and
- 2:34she says it's looking thinner and thinner.
- 2:38Yes, as time goes on, it's thinner and thinner, which OK.
- 2:42Over the last year that she's done it OK.
- 2:45Oh well. Also what I love is when she's
- 2:47speaking, there's a lot of arms and pauses like she's like your
- 2:51hair. It's looking thinner.
- 2:53As time goes on, it seems like
- 2:57thinner and I'm like, bitch, they should have filmed her for
- 3:01five to 10 minutes before doing this.
- 3:03They needed to have her talk about her childhood or something
- 3:05first to loosen up, because as
- 3:08listening to someone who's never
- 3:11She's like harping on and on, but in a way that's nonsensical.
- 3:15Yeah, a little bit. I mean, she's getting to the
- 3:17point, but it's a little like,
- 3:20And Kody talks about his attachment to his hair.
- 3:23He's like, I'm just a little attached.
- 3:26This is crazy. Today it's not going to look
- 3:29bad. Today it's not going to look
- 3:31bad. Why is he saying today it's not
- 3:32going to look bad? It already looks bad.
- 3:34He goes, but leaving here one of
- 3:37my wife's mind if I just shaved it off.
- 3:42I don't know why you're under the impression that your hair
- 3:44looks good right now and that eventually it will look bad.
- 3:47It already looks bad, but that's
- 3:50OK? Your wives will be very upset if
- 3:53you cut that hair off. Yeah, he makes some bad jokes
- 3:56about just shaving and it's obviously like a tee up and he's
- 4:01like, well, let's just shave it.
- 4:02And then Beautiful Kennedy goes over to her charcuterie board of
- 4:11holding it all awkwardly. Like it's obviously a setup and
- 4:15it's so cheesy and it's so dumb.
- 4:18She's just standing there with
- 4:20it's vibrating. Like I was going to say Meri's
- 4:24vibrator, but I don't know if any of these women ever, Oh,
- 4:26Janelle vibrate. Let's go.
- 4:27Janelle vibrator. And Kody, of course, has to say
- 4:30I'm just kidding. I was just kidding.
- 4:33And Kennedy is like, oh, I was
- 4:41with your wives first. Oh my.
- 4:45Gosh, she's studying there like an idiot.
- 4:47Just like. So corny and bad.
- 4:50Oh my God. She's like harping on this idea
- 4:54of him needing to cut his hair
- 4:57a sudden it's got worse. And so it's very obvious to me
- 5:00that this is a tee up, like it's
- 5:05within the Brown family about the hair, especially because we
- 5:08know that Kody Brown's hair is a
- 5:10His fifth wife. I just think that this is an
- 5:14unfortunate thing for Kennedy to
- 5:18stylist, you might think this is
- 5:21it's bad publicity. I would say in most ways it's a
- 5:25bad publicity stunt. And the fact that she just keeps
- 5:29bringing it up and talking about
- 5:32the haircut is bad. And then I'm like, hey, bitch,
- 5:36She ever thought of layers? Because on a man like this, with
- 5:40like softer hair, thinning hair,
- 5:47like this Bob cut. You would soften it up.
- 5:51You would layer it so that it had more balance, had more body.
- 5:55And she's giving him this like
- 6:01looks like John Smith from Pocahontas, and not in a good
- 6:07way. What are you doing to this man's
- 6:09hair? The whole bit is so awkward,
- 6:12like. I'd be embarrassed.
- 6:14Annoying and fake laughter. And this is The thing is like, I
- 6:17didn't want to start this episode by being mean about
- 6:20Kennedy. God bless Kennedy.
- 6:21Maybe she's a good person. Kennedy, if you're listening,
- 6:24sorry, but this is ridiculous.
- 6:28for so long and I would never do
- 6:32this day, if people were like, you're going to be on TV.
- 6:35You want to cut this like celebrities quote UN quote
- 6:37celebrity's hair and will you please just repeat what we tell
- 6:42you to say? Right.
- 6:43I wouldn't have done it because that's my business on the line.
- 6:47I mean, who was going to see this and never want to get their
- 6:49hair cut by her? Well, you know, she's a friend
- 6:52of Kody and Meri's, so she's. And the whole Sister Wives clan,
- 6:55apparently. She says she thinks the wives
- 6:57would be unhappy with a buzz cut.
- 6:59Then she says she doesn't think he has much of A choice.
- 7:04I've noticed a significant difference in the last year of
- 7:07doing your hair. Kody cracks a terrible joke
- 7:11about approaching the side of a Cliff and realizing you need to
- 7:13back up, blah blah blah. This whole scene is so trite,
- 7:16it's terrible, Kody says. My wives love the long hair.
- 7:19They love this shaggy server look.
- 7:22He makes a joke about parting it
- 7:25over from the middle to each side to cover the beating part
- 7:30on the left and the right. You know a lot of men do that.
- 7:34And no shame in the balding hair
- 7:38The shame here comes to Kennedy for giving him the Little
- 7:41Drummer Boy look and the Ariana Grande look from the SNL skit
- 7:46of the castrato and not adding
- 7:50My favorite part of the scene though is when she has his hair
- 7:53up in clips or whatever and as
- 7:56It means that and. She right, right, like the four
- 7:59strands of hair are up in a clip.
- 8:01And she's like, I've been doing your hair for a year now and
- 8:03I've noticed a pretty significant difference,
- 8:05especially in this area. And like circles is like balding
- 8:11scalp. And I'm like, Oh my God, this is
- 8:13so good. It was fabulous footage, I must
- 8:16say, Kennedy says. I don't know how much more time
- 8:19we have left before your surfer look is no longer a surfer
- 8:21look, and you look more like a Grandpa Kody's like, yeah,
- 8:24Grandpa surfer, right? I'm not ready for that.
- 8:27It's like, Oh my God. Oh my God, why are we seeing
- 8:30this? Why is this happening?
- 8:31Please make it stop. Please make it stop.
- 8:34This all ties into the next scene here where we go to
- 8:38Janelle's house for breakfast.
- 8:43Yes, it's breakfast time and it's Logan's last full day at
- 8:46home. He's going to the university.
- 8:50He'll move his stuff in that day
- 8:53time away officially from home.
- 8:55Janelle's letting us know in the kitchen.
- 8:57And it's cute because when she's talking about it, she's doing
- 8:59the whole, you know, like mom faux crying voice for a second,
- 9:02you know, like, oh, it's his first time.
- 9:04He's going to be gone officially.
- 9:06And it's like, oh, OK, Janelle, he's.
- 9:08Excited and sad and like, yeah, carried away.
- 9:11So Janelle's doing breakfast for her family that morning, and
- 9:14their plan is to do a larger entire family meal later in the
- 9:19day. They reference it as lunch.
- 9:20I'm going like, Oh my God, how many meals do you need in a
- 9:23couple hours? So hopefully it's the later
- 9:25lunch or. Something actually large meals.
- 9:26Well, if you're her and you wake
- 9:28up at 4:00 AM. Yeah, she's starving.
- 9:31And breakfast is at six and lunch would be at what, 11?
- 9:36So dinner's at 4:00. It could happen.
- 9:39I'm just. Going to go to bed at 7:00 it.
- 9:41Could happen, it could happen.
- 9:45breakfast, so we to give a little visual like the kids are
- 9:49around the table. Logan, Hunter, Maddie, I'm not
- 9:53sure if Savannah, I don't know
- 9:55Whatever, some kids and Janelle is in the kitchen and they're
- 9:57kind of talking over the Peninsula, the bar thing going
- 10:01back and forth. And Janelle says, Logan,
- 10:04everybody wants to see your dorm.
- 10:05Is it too embarrassing for everybody to come like later in
- 10:09the day? Which I love this question
- 10:12because of course he's like everybody.
- 10:14She's like, well, the adults and
- 10:18I'm like, Oh my God, this is so good that she gives the
- 10:21clarifier of like, no, not everybody, just the adults.
- 10:24And he's like, all of them. Like, Oh my God, like how many
- 10:28adults? How many people?
- 10:29Like, oh, and this poor kid, you
- 10:33to college. He says.
- 10:35I'm nervous about going to college with this public family.
- 10:38Like I'm curious to know how my peers, my friends, and how dorm
- 10:42neighbors will perceive A polygamist lifestyle.
- 10:45Yeah, he's like the public profile and the dorm mates
- 10:49judging the polygamist lifestyle
- 10:52I just don't know about it and.
- 10:55Very reasonable. I mean, you, there's already
- 10:57enough on your mind when you're going to any school experience,
- 11:00starting any school, be it middle, you know, elementary, of
- 11:06college, whatever. There's a lot happening.
- 11:08There's a lot on your mind. You're nervous about the change
- 11:10and he's going to stay in a dorm.
- 11:11There's all new people. And then your mom's like, do you
- 11:16Like, Oh my God, I don't know if I'd push back.
- 11:20But there's not even enough room for five parents to drop.
- 11:24Like, OK, there's not even enough room for Kody's ego.
- 11:29Like, mom, just you, please. That's what I would say.
- 11:32Yes, not even enough room for Kody's ego in the dorm room.
- 11:35Not enough room. Not enough room, I'll tell you
- 11:40kids at the table, Logan's like, where's dad?
- 11:42And Janelle says because he's your dad, it's just your dad.
- 11:46And it's so interesting that he's asking like, where is we're
- 11:54kind of waiting for the meal to start.
- 11:56And Janelle's, you know, pretending to be Susie Homemaker
- 12:00Someone else, probably Logan, probably made all the breakfast
- 12:03and she like popped out some toast and buttered.
- 12:06It she hinted at before. Yes, yeah.
- 12:08And then it's like, where's dad? And it's like, well, you know,
- 12:12It's like, where is this diva? The entire family?
- 12:15Well, Janelle and Kody's immediate family are sitting
- 12:19around the table to start breakfast.
- 12:20And Kody's like, coming in late, blah, blah, blah.
- 12:24His hair, his sweaty shirt from his back, sweat and blah blah.
- 12:29Jesus, like finally Kody shows up to breakfast on the day that
- 12:32his son is leaving to college. OK.
- 12:33Thank you for gracing us with your presence, Kody.
- 12:36Yeah, no shit. Janelle had said previously that
- 12:43mornings. Yeah, and then you've got Dad
- 12:46rolling in who knows how fucking late with the cold eggs on the
- 12:53he's like good morning. And it's like the kids are
- 12:55talking about how they're already done eating.
- 12:56Like, Oh my God, this is ridiculous.
- 12:58And this is when we get a lovely precious Pearl from Maddie.
- 13:03What does Maddie say to her dear Daddy?
- 13:05Oh my God. Well, Hunter and Maddie sat in
- 13:15balding. And Maddie says, Dad, you're
- 13:18balding. Like straight up says you're
- 13:21balding. And Kody's like, Maddie, stop
- 13:23talking about me balding. It's not funny.
- 13:26It's like a personal slam. How would you feel if somebody
- 13:33and he's like, quit talking about my bald spot.
- 13:36It's like a personal slam. Oh my God.
- 13:42And then we've got Maddie and Hunter on the couch after this,
- 13:45talking about how their dad is doing the comb over from the
- 13:49middle and the yadda yadda yadda.
- 13:51Like, you know, I guess it's what you got to do when you're
- 13:59on and the haircut and the Kennedy situation.
- 14:03And Janelle says that he did have it short once and it was
- 14:09atrocious. And I'm looking at this photo
- 14:13that they put up and he looks exactly like Logan.
- 14:18You're telling us and you're telling your husband that it
- 14:23looked atrocious. And I shit you not, Logan has
- 14:28the same exact haircut that they're cutting back and forth
- 14:36parent, harping on your own insecurities in front of your
- 14:41children is fucking embarrassing and you should be ashamed of it
- 14:44because you're making your children feel insecure about the
- 14:52And you talking about how shitty his hair looks and how he'll
- 14:57look dumb bald and all of his kids are sitting around the
- 15:01table. His boys are sitting around the
- 15:04table, his girls are sitting around the table.
- 15:07And it doesn't matter what gender you are, your parents
- 15:11play a part in your traits and you're harping on and on about
- 15:19much you hate it. And they're going to lose their
- 15:21hair potentially. And he looks exactly like his
- 15:24fucking son in the next scene with a shaved head as he does in
- 15:30Which he doesn't even look bad, which is what I don't
- 15:33understand. The shot is like of a guy with a
- 15:37Like he looks perfectly fine. He doesn't look worse than he
- 15:41does with his surfer hair, which, whatever.
- 15:44Honestly, they should be ashamed and I'm going to get on my
- 15:48soapbox about that. Because like, moms, quit talking
- 15:52front of your daughters. Dads quit talking about your
- 15:55nose side profile view or your balding hair in front of your
- 15:58kids. Let's make differences in
- 16:01ourselves great again, dare I say?
- 16:05Oh God, Oh, take that one back. Let's make differences in
- 16:09ourselves, OK? Again.
- 16:11Like that is the thing that I miss most about movies from the
- 16:1590s and 2000s and celebrities and people in general is our
- 16:19differences. And talking about how much you
- 16:31a few times and that's OK because we all have things we
- 16:34hate about ourselves. But to do a whole segment about
- 16:38how atrocious someone looks and how grossed out you are?
- 16:41And we're going to get more into this because they each have a
- 16:45comment to degrade Kody's hair. And I'm not standing up for
- 16:49Kody, but like, let's also stand up for our kids and the traits
- 16:56And I know I've complained about things to you and I know that
- 16:59there are things that I hate. But to say them like in front of
- 17:05Like these are my own insecurities that I have to deal
- 17:11And I even said in the last episode or like 2 episodes ago,
- 17:15I made a joke. We were talking about girl math
- 17:18and I said well girl math's about food.
- 17:20And I'm like thinking to myself back on it.
- 17:23And I'm like, no, that's actually my own insecurity.
- 17:26And girl math to me is like about calories.
- 17:29And so I thought about it and I like, you know, texted Chris and
- 17:37Like, I don't know why I said that, but in my mind, like, girl
- 17:43And I can call myself out for it now and be like, wow, the first
- 17:46thought that came to my head when it came to girl mouth was
- 17:52I've had my entire life. You know, and I don't think that
- 17:58actual picture of me and know that at one point, like I was
- 18:03over 200 lbs and I'm 55. Like that was a big deal for me.
- 18:09my entire adult life, you know, with having kids and losing
- 18:13weight and then having another
- 18:16It's fucking hard. And to harp on that in front of
- 18:20your children and be cracking jokes and then your kids are
- 18:24cracking jokes and you're shaming your own kids for
- 18:27cracking a joke that you've cracked yourself about yourself.
- 18:32Like you're teaching your children to hate parts of
- 18:34themselves that are inevitable.
- 18:37Sorry. Unless they have the money to
- 18:41intervene. And we don't all have the money
- 18:43to intervene. And these trends when it comes
- 18:54trend, you might not have the money to fix it for the next
- 18:58trend. So it's all like this circular
- 19:04their dad's hair but he actually legitimately gets mad
- 19:07at them for the jokes when they were teed up for the jokes.
- 19:14for making jokes that they were teed up for and you can tell
- 19:17his ego is taking a hit and he's
- 19:20He was definitely upset by it.
- 19:23about it. When the adults were on the
- 19:25couch talking about this exchange and like how Kennedy
- 19:29keeps telling him that his hair is thinning, et cetera, et
- 19:31cetera, Robyn says to Meri. You left him alone at a salon.
- 19:37And I thought it was so ridiculous.
- 19:39It was so classic Robyn to like,
- 19:42and it's like, Oh my God, girl, get a grip.
- 19:44Saying that to Meri, because Meri and Kody get their hair cut
- 19:47at the same place. I'm like, how many different
- 19:48stylist do you guys need? What's happening here, Meri?
- 19:52'S like I wasn't even there. I wasn't with him.
- 19:55I didn't go that time. So dumb.
- 19:57And Christine says that when he had short hair, she was grossed
- 20:02out. She was grossed out by it.
- 20:05Kody's like you were grossed out
- 20:08what the fuck? Like grossed out.
- 20:10The photo that they showed once again was not unattractive.
- 20:13I do, I just OK you like him with long hair.
- 20:16It's not like he was some ugly
- 20:19He looked perfectly fine. No.
- 20:20If you would have told me that
- 20:23photo in black and white next to
- 20:26white, I would have been maybe
- 20:30same person. Which is why this is pissing me
- 20:32off so much. Yeah, definitely ridiculous.
- 20:35Like from 1 scene to the next they're showing Kody with short
- 20:37hair and how disgusted they are and then the next scene they're
- 20:40going to show Logan with the same exact haircut.
- 20:42The same haircut. It pisses me off.
- 20:44Oh God. And then Meri says that this is
- 20:48part of his persona. Like this is what makes him him.
- 20:53It's his persona and Kody has to
- 20:59has liked his hair is after he
- 21:05the time that you grew it out after you were married.
- 21:09They show pictures of him after he's married to both Meri and
- 21:13Janelle. My mind is blown because it's
- 21:16like, when did you fucking grow your hair out that you hated
- 21:19yourself? You hated your hair even though
- 21:21you were the belle of the ball
- 21:25you and get married to you and
- 21:29hated your hair until it was grown out.
- 21:34Well, when Meri says, you know, this is my favorite look, I
- 21:36love it being long. I don't like the idea of you
- 21:38cutting it. Kody wraps up this terrible
- 21:41little back and forth by saying,
- 21:46it until we've talked more. Does this like exacerbated sigh.
- 21:54And it's like, OK, I mean, once again, what the fuck?
- 21:58What is going on? This is all ridiculous.
- 22:00No, he has to consult his wives before he's allowed to cut his
- 22:03hair. And usually this goes to the
- 22:06women. Like I've dyed my hair, you
- 22:10know, every single color of the rainbow.
- 22:12I've literally had like every single color in the rainbow as
- 22:16my hair color. And I have this theory that you
- 22:20like them how you got them. So people say you get him how
- 22:24you got him. It's like you get him from
- 22:27cheating, you're going to lose
- 22:30how you got him. And I think that you like him
- 22:33how you got him. So like if I have blonde hair
- 22:36when we meet, you're going to like me with blonde hair our
- 22:40entire relationship. Or if I change it, you're going
- 22:42to be upset. And so far in my dating history,
- 22:47and for the foreseeable future, because I am married and have
- 22:50been married, that has been the case.
- 22:53And I have had every single color in the book.
- 22:55And I have had so many men give me so much shit for changing my
- 23:01hair, cutting my hair. I've had a Pixie.
- 23:03I've shaved my sides ball that
- 23:08that was a thing. I've had hair down to my butt
- 23:11crack. I've had it all.
- 23:14And every single fucking man has
- 23:19hair and how they like it. So Kody Brown, fuck you.
- 23:23And you do consult your wives.
- 23:27because I guess, and I'm thinking that they have to
- 23:29consult you on their hair. Well, my big take away from that
- 23:32was just that you are a wanton
- 23:35of. Men.
- 23:35I am. I am.
- 23:37And you have the hairstyles to
- 23:39It I am a woman of many Shades
- 23:43Oh my gosh. Back at Janelle's house after
- 23:47breakfast, Logan is talking about being nervous to move out
- 23:50and be on his own. But you know, it's like a 2
- 23:53camera moment. He's in his room.
- 23:55He's like packing things up and blah blah blah.
- 23:57He says some things, you know, a
- 24:00like he needs to get a little bit.
- 24:03Oh God, I shouldn't even say more well spoken because listen
- 24:06to me, I can't even get through a sentence.
- 24:08But his excitement is more than the nervousness and it made my
- 24:13Grinch heart grow 3 sizes 'cause
- 24:16Like he's genuinely looking forward to this and even though
- 24:19he's nervous, he's excited and
- 24:22attitude I think. Yeah, he was cute, he said.
- 24:25The thrill of the new adventure is overshadowing the
- 24:27nervousness. Yeah.
- 24:29Yeah. And I thought that that was very
- 24:32well spoken. Yes, he was very cute and I
- 24:36don't know. Not to fight with what you said.
- 24:39Right, I love that. Right.
- 24:39Like I agree. He was.
- 24:42You're right, though. He was humming and hawing back
- 24:44and forth, back and forth. And he was like giving, you
- 24:47know, things that are good, things that are bad, what he's
- 24:49nervous about, what he's happy
- 24:51And then he ends it by saying,
- 24:53adventure is overshadowing the
- 24:55And I'm like, OK, way to wrap it
- 24:56You got it. After all that humming and
- 24:58hawing, you got it. Absolutely.
- 25:02So after that commercial break, we open at Meri's house.
- 25:05Oh, Meri, Meri, Meri, Meri, Meri.
- 25:07Quite contrary. Meri says that one of the things
- 25:10they decided to do for Logan with him going off to college is
- 25:13make a little video of all the
- 25:17him and giving him well wishes
- 25:22sounds nice. Sounds like a nice thing to do.
- 25:25But of course, because it's the Browns, it has to be a shit
- 25:28show. And ridiculous.
- 25:29Christine tells us they had Meri
- 25:32video because she would make sure that everyone got filmed
- 25:35and that it got cut. Well, she'd make sure it looked
- 25:37good. Oh God.
- 25:41So we have this footage at Meri's house where she's filming
- 25:44some of the kids. She starts with Savannah.
- 25:46We don't get any audio of Savannah.
- 25:49And then she films Gabriel and
- 25:52cheesy with his little message
- 25:55And then Dayton, who's serious
- 25:59He's wearing a wolf shirt. A wolf shirt.
- 26:02Like one of those Walmart. Oh, like the silhouette of the
- 26:05wolf in the moon? No, it's like an actual wolf's
- 26:08face, like one of those shirts.
- 26:11Yes, yes, very of the time. Yes, they're in front of her
- 26:16fancy lamp and next to a fancy side table of dark mahogany.
- 26:25Mahogany. Yes, and they're next to a
- 26:28tchotchke cabinet of the same mahogany.
- 26:30Oh God, our listeners are going to love that.
- 26:34They're going to love it, Mahogany.
- 26:36Yes, with a lot of tchotchkeys. You're right, there was a lot
- 26:39of. Stuff Angel tchotchkes.
- 26:42Dust collectors. Dust collectors.
- 26:45Well, I know a lot about dust collectors.
- 26:47I'm a tchotchke queen myself, I do say.
- 26:50So, well, Meri realizes that she was not recording correctly with
- 26:57She starts asking things like what does the green box mean and
- 27:03And Gabriel's trying to help her, but also like she's not
- 27:07really helpable. And it turns out that she was
- 27:09recording nothing shots and hadn't filmed any of the
- 27:12interviews. She was just recording the times
- 27:14between the interviews and Nothing while the interviews
- 27:17went unrecorded. Yeah, she was recording the
- 27:20between parts, not the actual parts.
- 27:22Right, because there was Savannah, Gabriel and Dayton
- 27:25there. She refilms them, which is when
- 27:27we get some more details. Not big deal, but like Savannah
- 27:30says, I don't want him to leave because he's been a really good
- 27:34Big Brother. So cute.
- 27:36It's so nice to Here's some nice
- 27:40And I think the biggest thing we
- 27:43ever a sex tape released during,
- 27:46lives, that it wasn't of her own
- 27:51She did not record it. That's.
- 27:54Lensing. Yes, if there's a sex tape for
- 27:56Meri Brown, it wasn't because she did it.
- 27:59She fucked that up. Nope, Nope, Nope.
- 28:00No. Meri thanks Savannah for
- 28:03reshooting and she says well we're 5 down and 16 to go like
- 28:07Oh my God. Mare, mare, mare.
- 28:09Yeah, she's got also a Sister Wives necklace on that looks
- 28:14like 4 knuckles put up, like they're going to give a knuckle
- 28:19sandwich and then it's got dots above all of them.
- 28:23And you told me that this was their.
- 28:27Their logo. Logo for my sister wife's
- 28:29closet. It's supposed to be the four
- 28:30wives, and so it's like 4, yeah.
- 28:33Knuckles or fingers it literally.
- 28:35Looks like a monkey's paw, like knuckles.
- 28:38With dots above it that's supposed to signify the four
- 28:41wives. It looks like a fucking paw
- 28:44print. Yeah, yeah, it's cheesy, cheap
- 28:49the design, like it was supposed to be an animal print
- 28:52and it looks like what animal's that and it's the brown
- 28:55wives. An Aardvark.
- 28:57No aardvark. Nardvark.
- 28:59Aspen being filmed, Oh my gosh, she was so cute, she says.
- 29:03I remember Kids Town with Logan.
- 29:05He invented Kids Town where we would all go out in the forest
- 29:14And I of course, played director.
- 29:15And I also thought, oh, in the forest where Drake is now
- 29:20buried. Yeah, no shit like.
- 29:23Oh no. And their other dog?
- 29:25What was her name? Ally.
- 29:27Buried in the forest, dead is. Ally.
- 29:31Dead is a doornail buried underground.
- 29:33Logan has always had a very responsible demeanor about him.
- 29:40He's been a very good oldest
- 29:42child, which ushers in the flashback of him in 2010 in
- 29:47Lehigh making all of his siblings breakfast before
- 29:50school. She says he was always driving
- 29:52point, especially in the mornings.
- 29:55Yeah, we get it. You parentified him.
- 29:57Moving on. Moving on, Janelle talks about
- 30:00having his help in the mornings and how that was really
- 30:02important. Christine talks about how his
- 30:05end of summer returns from the
- 30:08celebration. So they show some footage of
- 30:10that too, like him coming home.
- 30:12And then Robyn gets to chime in because of course we have to
- 30:16hear from our people's Princess Robyn.
- 30:18And she's like, that's when I fell in love with you guys being
- 30:24And I was like, these guys are so fun.
- 30:26My husband did the same as a child.
- 30:29He got sent to his grandparents cabin to we didn't take care of
- 30:35the river bend. Oh, the river bend.
- 30:38Yeah. Yeah, probably not any river
- 30:39bends in Wyoming. Probably just animal shit and
- 30:42burying animals. Just like Drake, just like Ally.
- 30:49animal in his day and how it didn't matter much.
- 30:52Yep, Yep, absolutely. And Kody tells us, This is why I
- 30:55want to get into the homes before Christmas because if we
- 30:58have this experience with Christmas, that may solidify so
- 31:02that every Christmas we can look
- 31:05And I'm like Oh my God all. The kids will want to come home
- 31:08if we solidify this memory. Everyone will want to come home
- 31:11for Christmas. I think being in the homes
- 31:13before Christmas is really important because the kids are
- 31:16starting to leave. So, you know, that's a little
- 31:19foreshadowing into like, their
- 31:22leaving, the kids are leaving,
- 31:24Logan's leaving, everyone's going to leave.
- 31:26Yeah. And that comes up again later in
- 31:28the episode, unfortunately. And oh, we are going to take a
- 31:33fabulous turn here to Robyn's house.
- 31:36It's like the signage all said, go left, go left.
- 31:38And we decided to go right and
- 31:41Robyn and Kody are in their living room discussing a quilt
- 31:45on the ground, a very obvious quilt.
- 31:47It is the size of the room. We see it has pictures of all
- 31:51the family members on the squares.
- 31:53It's red and black and crazy, and they talk about how everyone
- 31:58is going to sign this quilt before Logan's going away party.
- 32:02So of course, you know, we're putting the pieces together.
- 32:05This is a quilt for Logan. But you know who made it?
- 32:09Robyn's sister Fawn. Fawn like a deer or like
- 32:12something I do over a pretty boy
- 32:15moron. Yeah, they're all going to sign
- 32:18next to their photo. Because Robyn, sister Fawn,
- 32:23actually makes these quilts, according to Kody.
- 32:26So we're giving one to Logan as a going away gift in the UNLV
- 32:30colors. With everyone's faces sewn on
- 32:34it. And just so everyone knows, UNLV
- 32:37colors are priMeri red and black, so it is red and black.
- 32:43Red, black, white and faces. And Robyn?
- 32:46Oh God, Robyn. Now honey, you have to start
- 32:48this quote off right or I'm going to condemn you to hell
- 32:51forever. What does Robyn say?
- 32:53The funny thing about it is that
- 32:58everyone, he can flip it over and the top looks normal and
- 33:05it's just like Plaid. I had her put this back on it,
- 33:10but you know, we have to send him with something.
- 33:13And I'm like, Oh my God, it's the most unattractive Plaid,
- 33:16red, black and white thing I've ever seen.
- 33:19It's huge and monstrous. And what would you ever do with
- 33:22it as a college? Student.
- 33:23We had to send him with something.
- 33:25We had to send him with something like of course you
- 33:28fucking shopping hoarder bitch.
- 33:29We couldn't just let him go to college with like a Knick knack
- 33:32or a framed photo of his family.
- 33:34We had to send him with something that's it's going to
- 33:35take up his entire backseat of
- 33:37That your sister made full free.
- 33:39Robyn loves to spend money, so she probably paid her a lot to
- 33:46like exact this much of the budget to this because the
- 33:49family is going to see it and it will be OK then.
- 33:52It's OK to spend this. It's a gift for Logan and
- 33:55Robyn's like let me pull up my credit card that has her like ex
- 34:03his message on the quilt, across the entire fucking quilt, and
- 34:08say that he should be the man that God expects him to be.
- 34:14Yes. So it's almost like everyone's
- 34:19writing a little message and Kody's like I'm taking up the
- 34:22whole middle. What a shock.
- 34:24What does Kody tell us when he's doing this, honey?
- 34:26When you're sexually active outside of a marriage, it is
- 34:30unhealthy all the way around. You know it's true.
- 34:34So he first, he first says I should say, he says, you know,
- 34:50sexually active outside of a marriage is unhealthy all the
- 34:54way around. A testimony from God to Kody
- 34:57Brown to Logan Brown. And I just want to say the
- 35:02things that you tell your kids that they are not allowed to do
- 35:06today are the things that they will be ashamed of and hide from
- 35:15be ashamed of normal human behaviors and come to me with
- 35:21questions tomorrow, then shame them and tell them they're not
- 35:30the same tune. You never know.
- 35:32You never know. You know, I'm going to be like,
- 35:35here's how you take care of yourself and protect yourself.
- 35:46responsibility as a man to protect yourself and your
- 35:50partner and use condoms. And if they say it's OK, no, as
- 35:56a boy and as a man, the one way you can actually protect
- 36:00yourself is by wearing a condom. So Kody, you are basically
- 36:06shaming your children into not coming to you for advice.
- 36:12And I'm just putting that out there right now into the ether.
- 36:17I don't know.
- 36:19Janelle tells us I always want
- 36:23make all the perfect choices. But I'm also aware that my idea
- 36:27of a perfect choice is not his
- 36:30And I was like thank you Queen
- 36:34Like how about some well-rounded
- 36:39Like, of course, my kids are not
- 36:41thoughts that I have are the same opinions and the same
- 36:44values. And I hope that I raise them to
- 36:46be be smart about decisions, not to put your head in the sand
- 36:49to pretend you're not going to do anything ever for the rest of
- 36:53he's going to never move. He's never going to talk, he's
- 37:01her saying like my idea of a perfect choice isn't his idea of
- 37:10However he might think in hindsight, based on my morals,
- 37:19moving forward. Or here is how I'm going to try
- 37:21to rectify my mistake. Yeah, so that is.
- 37:24Learning lessons Learning life lessons.
- 37:27Imparting your wisdom and giving your kids values and morals
- 37:32versus giving your kids rules and stipulations. 100% if your
- 37:40reflective and to learn based on your values and what you've
- 37:43provided them as lessons. I even tell, like my nieces and
- 37:47nephews, I'm going to be your auntie that you can come to, you
- 37:57But I always want you to be able
- 37:59And I've told my sister and I've
- 38:06well, these little kids that you're entrusting me to be a
- 38:10part of their life, like my nieces and nephews.
- 38:13You're entrusting me to help guide them.
- 38:16And so I want them to be comfortable to come to me.
- 38:18If they're not comfortable coming to you and vice versa,
- 38:21you know, you're not always comfortable coming to your own
- 38:24parents. And hopefully you have someone
- 38:26else in your life that you're comfortable going to.
- 38:29And I had that person in my life.
- 38:30So I think Janelle's outtake on this is really freaking cool.
- 38:34And this could be, could be the great thing about Sister Wives,
- 38:40right? If it played out that way.
- 38:41Right is being able to have open
- 38:45someone in situations where you feel like you maybe can't be
- 38:48with your bio mom or dad. Yeah.
- 38:51And of course, Kody has to say
- 38:55blah, blah blah, or becoming tolerant so he doesn't get
- 38:59heartbroken. And I'm like, heartbroken.
- 39:02I just want you to know, Kody,
- 39:05fuck. So like, you're going to be
- 39:08heartbroken over your son having
- 39:13religious dogmatic bullshit. Yeah, it totally.
- 39:15Is him and his feelings him and.
- 39:18His feelings, like, my God, I'm not saying that you should be
- 39:21like, yeah, boy, get out there and like, do it like a stallion,
- 39:26becoming a young adult. He's going to college.
- 39:29Whose college stories are like, I never had sex.
- 39:31I never did anything wrong. I went to school and I got
- 39:34straight A's and all I did, I came out a St.
- 39:36Like, that's not most people's stories.
- 39:37Get it together. I kept sweet, but also the whole
- 39:52To that Mormon school.
- 39:53In Utah, that. Utah school.
- 39:55Yeah, yeah. And kept sweet, but you
- 39:59encouraged him to go to this school.
- 40:02Totally. Yeah.
- 40:04Kody talks out both sides of his
- 40:07is. It's like dogmatic bullshit.
- 40:08It's so stupid. Fuck Kody.
- 40:10He's an idiot. Later in the day, Kody is at
- 40:14Janelle's house grilling steaks in the backyard.
- 40:17And I love it because it's like,
- 40:20meat, so we're going to eat some
- 40:22And that's what he asked for. Now.
- 40:24Hey, you know what? I love some meat, too.
- 40:25If I was having a go on away meal, I'd be like, could I have
- 40:27some surf and some turf and whatever.
- 40:30It is funny to see Kody grilling
- 40:34such AI don't even know a bumbling boob.
- 40:37He's like got these big hunks of
- 40:38And he's like. Stabbing them and flipping them
- 40:41and the flames are going up out of the grill and when he opens
- 40:43the grill it looks like he doesn't even know.
- 40:45He's like, there's a flame. It's ridiculous.
- 40:47It's like, dude, like you're trying to put on this show.
- 40:50Well, this is what he loves to
- 40:51He loves to put on a show. He's such a show boat.
- 40:53Look at me. I'm a big, big man.
- 40:55When in all reality, it's like, you look like an idiot.
- 40:57Like I would look better grilling steak than him, right?
- 40:59He's like grilling steak because
- 41:03And he goes, Logan's a meat eater.
- 41:06Like he's proud and he's making this weird flex about his son
- 41:11being a meat eater, and yet he
- 41:15a grill. It's like, yeah, no.
- 41:18You're the one who looks in a way like if you were going to be
- 41:21judgmental, he doesn't look like
- 41:23fucking steak. And yet he's all like, my man's,
- 41:26like my son's a man. And it's like, oh, I thought you
- 41:28were going to be heartbroken if he put his penis in some.
- 41:32What is the math? Where's the math?
- 41:33Math ain't math. But if he brings his penis in a
- 41:35steak crystal. Though that's where you get it,
- 41:38right? If Logan fucks a steak, then I
- 41:41can be proud of. Wow.
- 41:43Whoa, Where are we? Where are we?
- 41:46What is happening? Oh, sorry, ladies and gentlemen.
- 41:48We'll get it back on track. We're going to get it back on
- 41:50track. Kinks right now re kink shaming.
- 41:53Well, I'm more about the I was
- 41:56than the turf, but that's not true.
- 41:57I'm definitely more into the turf than the surf.
- 42:02Sidebar something I've learned
- 42:06at an axis to hide A shrimp in
- 42:11smell really awful and they'll
- 42:14In their towel bar. Like in their bathroom.
- 42:16Oh God, I am familiar with the
- 42:21find. Shrimp inside the towel bar.
- 42:24But that's, I mean, who would ever look in their towel bar?
- 42:26Exactly. Yeah.
- 42:28You ever been done dirty girls?
- 42:31My ladies, my ladies. Hey ladies, if you want to go
- 42:35and hit them up style, put a shrimp in the towel bar.
- 42:39Yeah, Blue Cantrell. Blue Cantrell.
- 42:42So good. Wow, that's oddly specific and
- 42:50Allegedly, if you put a strip in a towel bar, it smells rancid
- 42:55after a while and they'll never. Find It Legal told us.
- 42:59It's all alleged. We don't know anything.
- 43:01Kody tells us about how he has sensed that Logan has already
- 43:05began separating as he prepares to leave identifiable.
- 43:08I do the same thing. I know that when I know
- 43:12something's coming to an end, I start to do the whole like,
- 43:14building up the thing, like, all right, going to move out.
- 43:17This is it, taking the steps, blah, blah, blah.
- 43:19I don't want to, you know, come across as too much of A raging
- 43:25straight man. But Madonna talks about it in
- 43:27Truth or Dare when there are Two is coming towards the end of her
- 43:35and when I know something's coming to an end, I prepare
- 43:38myself and every I should say everybody does that, but a lot
- 43:44sand till the end. Some people make their distances
- 43:50door. You get senioritis.
- 43:51Yes, yes. Well, you just brought up
- 43:53senioritis to me recently and it is totally, you know,
- 43:57applicable. Yeah, I.
- 43:58Think that, like, so many people get senioritis, like when they
- 44:10because you're feeling ready to move on.
- 44:13Yeah, yeah. You're planning, you're you're
- 44:19interesting label for it because I hadn't heard that outside of
- 44:25me recently, I was like, it's so true.
- 44:27It's like the steps you take of the next chapter's coming, and
- 44:36he can tell that Logan is feeling euphoria about leaving,
- 44:40but that is also coupled with Kody feeling melancholy and
- 44:46realizing that Logan is leaving even though he's only going to
- 44:55where he's saying, see you mom and dad.
- 44:57I'm on my own. I'm my own person.
- 44:59And so Kody's mixing these two emotions.
- 45:02And when he's talking about it, I noticed that his eyes were
- 45:05getting glossy, like he was getting a little emotional about
- 45:15narcissist or whatever, like all the labels that people put on
- 45:18him. And, you know, he has some not
- 45:26where I don't feel like it's put on.
- 45:28I think he's probably really feeling that.
- 45:30You can be a narcissist and still love people and.
- 45:33That's true, I do it all the time.
- 45:36Like you can, and I think that as we'll see from Kody time and
- 45:42again, is he's confused by his own emotions.
- 45:47And he's very confused right now.
- 45:50And you can tell by the words he's using, euphoria and
- 45:56melancholy and coupled with my feelings and he's bringing it
- 46:01back to himself. And no matter what, which is a
- 46:11diagnosis of narcissism for Kody as.
- 46:14We would never pretend to be able to do so or.
- 46:16So yes. We don't.
- 46:17When he's referencing how Logan is saying see your mom and dad
- 46:22own. I don't know if inflection is
- 46:24the right, but his own feelings about that.
- 46:26It's not actually about his son leaving, it's about his son
- 46:28saying goodbye to. Him, it's his reflection of it
- 46:42like this put on thing where you see the emotion and you're like,
- 46:50Like this has to be about me. And then in the end it goes back
- 47:01no, this is not about me. And it's hurtful.
- 47:05And I just see a lot of Kody getting emotional and I'm like,
- 47:11oh, yeah, I can like, commiserate as a parent.
- 47:14And I'm like, yes, he gets it. He gets it.
- 47:17And then I like, backtrack with the thought of the, oh, no, he
- 47:27these motions that are like, narcissistic and bringing it
- 47:32back to himself. And I just like can't imagine
- 47:36how confusing it is watching this back as a child.
- 47:40And part of me like hopes that the kids don't ever watch this
- 47:47As someone who has grown up partially with texting and
- 47:53voicemail on a cell phone and partially not with it, I think
- 48:03face that I can look back on and reflect on and read out loud
- 48:08or have other people read and see like it for what it truly
- 48:12is. So it's got to be super hurtful
- 48:15to see these big moments in your
- 48:19and realize that they weren't what you maybe thought they
- 48:23were. Just like the graduation and him
- 48:25making it about him and Robyn and Robyn being late.
- 48:29Yeah, like that has to be fucking hurtful.
- 48:32It's basically being thrown in
- 48:34I know. And it's when it comes to
- 48:36someone like Logan, I feel like,
- 48:40for granted because I don't know
- 48:43he's well adjusted enough and probably self-sufficient, self
- 48:47whatevered enough where maybe this didn't have the biggest
- 48:50impact on him in real time. But yeah, to like go back and
- 48:55watch it would be like, Oh my gosh.
- 48:58I think that's being generous because I think that being the
- 49:02first born of a family like this, there's no way that it
- 49:06didn't affect him. I think that he was paren defied
- 49:09from a young age. He was made to make breakfast
- 49:11for all of his siblings. From a young age, he felt
- 49:14protective. I think that he is stoic and
- 49:20quiet in a sense because he's protective of himself and his
- 49:26siblings. And I'm happy that we don't know
- 49:30much about how he's felt about
- 49:34protecting his peace now. Because I can't imagine that for
- 49:39him it hasn't been harmful. And I'm proud of him for
- 49:44protecting his peace by not making it known, if that makes
- 49:49sense. Yeah, it totally does.
- 49:51In a way, like the siblings that
- 49:54oh, we're OK, we're doing this, so we're doing that.
- 49:58They're the ones that might need
- 50:02they're not OK. Where Logan has protected his
- 50:06peace and hopefully taking care of his mental health and like
- 50:09like gotten the help that he needed, like on a private scale,
- 50:13like where it was actually needed and not for like the
- 50:17public's eye and like viewing.
- 50:22weird. And like even just his mom
- 50:24messing with him making breakfast and saying the whole
- 50:28family wants to come see your dorm.
- 50:32Let's not do that, Janelle. Let's not freak our child out
- 50:36and let him think that we're all
- 50:39place. Even all the parents, she might
- 50:42have even told him before the clip that she was going to make
- 50:46the joke, but I don't think she did.
- 50:48And they're desensitized to the persona that they've put on.
- 50:56And they're not remembering that
- 51:01the children have childlike minds and they're not seeing
- 51:03things for what they are. So you're saying jokes to your
- 51:07kids that your kids don't know
- 51:11telling your kids promises that are empty and you keep breaking
- 51:14them. They don't know that they have
- 51:16no foresight. They don't get that their brains
- 51:19literally cannot connect that these people are fucked up.
- 51:24Well, yes, and there's a pattern
- 51:29jokes of their situation with the kids, like they're.
- 51:32Setting up a. Bit right, yeah, like for the
- 51:35show, like, Oh my gosh, like if I bring up that everyone's
- 51:37going to come and it's going to be this.
- 51:39Meanwhile this poor 18 year old kid is trying to go through a
- 51:43major life milestone going. Why does me moving into a dorm
- 51:48room have to be a bit for your
- 51:50And this is all before he gets
- 51:53I feel bad for him before he gets the fucking quilt.
- 51:55Chris, he's the fucking. Quilt.
- 51:57Oh my gosh. So we got to get to the quilt
- 52:00somehow, OK? Christ.
- 52:01Everyone has gathered at Janelle's house.
- 52:03In the kitchen, they're blessing
- 52:06is so well prepared. Probably well prepared.
- 52:11Yeah. And they're getting ready to
- 52:12eat. And I Oh girl, I got to tell
- 52:14you, I hate to say it, but when they finally show them eating,
- 52:17they're eating the steak on paper plates with plastic
- 52:21silverware. How do you even cut a steak that
- 52:24well done with plastic? You don't they had Gabriel
- 52:27literally stabbing the steak and
- 52:30fork and putting it in his mouth.
- 52:32So I, I, I don't know, you know,
- 52:35other ways with this plastic shit and the paper shit.
- 52:38I just this is a hill I'm going to fucking die on.
- 52:43Stop doing the paper plates and the plastic silverware and the
- 52:46sniper from cops when it's unnecessary.
- 52:48No, this is dumb. Anyway, sorry, I, you know, I
- 52:51just have to go on my tangents.
- 52:53After their meal, they're all gathered in the living room,
- 52:56honey. And this is where we're going to
- 53:03Voyage video. Oh my God, this quilt is
- 53:09literally hideous. So hideous.
- 53:11Robyn and Meri bring it out. Almost like ceremoniously,
- 53:17ceremoniously, one on each side. In a giant laundry bag.
- 53:21In a hamper? No, you know, he it's nice
- 53:24because he's going to a college dorm.
- 53:26He's going to need a place to put his.
- 53:27But do you think they actually left him that laundry basket?
- 53:29Wouldn't that be funny if they were like, no, that's.
- 53:31No, that was, that's. Meri's laundry.
- 53:33Do you think they fucking gave? I didn't see him loaded into his
- 53:39thinking that at least they were being, you know, thoughtful
- 53:41enough to give him a laundry basket slash hamper for his dorm
- 53:47We didn't see him bring it off to college.
- 53:49Nope, we didn't. We can't give them any benefits
- 53:51of any doubt. We can't, they give him.
- 53:55The quilt, the quilt. He laughed.
- 53:59He laughs, which is so great. Oh my gosh, it's so cute, he
- 54:03laughs. And he says.
- 54:05My first thought is that there is no way I am taking this to
- 54:12the dorm with me. But then, you know, he says.
- 54:18He realized how nice it was. It was well made, all their
- 54:22signatures on it, you know, he said he was really touched and
- 54:29Even though of course the initial reaction of an 18 year
- 54:35Like, what the fuck is going on here?
- 54:37But see, this speaks to Logan's maturity and his, well,
- 54:41naturedness. Like, by the end of this,
- 54:43because I don't know, when I was 18, I don't know if I would have
- 54:48I might have been like, yeah, I
- 54:49guess I might pretend or something to be like, this is
- 54:52cool. But I don't know that I would
- 54:53have actually thought, well, it's kind of well made.
- 54:56And I actually am kind of touched.
- 54:57They went through the I'd be like, why the fuck are you doing
- 54:59this to me? I mean if anything, maybe he
- 55:03pretends to take it and like hides it in the trunk of his car
- 55:06and doesn't bring it out when he
- 55:08I don't know. He makes a joke about hanging it
- 55:11on his wall for his roommate and.
- 55:14They're all excited. They're like, oh, that's great.
- 55:17And it's like, Oh my gosh. Obviously.
- 55:19It's a weird family. They're all like in denial and
- 55:22in rejection and strange places.
- 55:24And I don't understand how some of the older siblings aren't
- 55:28like why the fuck are we doing this?
- 55:31Please don't do this to him. Please don't do this to him.
- 55:35Why are we doing this? I'm like mortified for them all.
- 55:41embarrassing. Like did you think that this was
- 55:43OK? Even as an adult, I wouldn't use
- 55:48a quilt. No honey member, it's Robyn.
- 55:51So, you know, child bride vibes.
- 55:55Well, OK, that they're not going to go there.
- 55:59No, no, I just meant that she's literally, you know, she's not
- 56:03But this is like fucking weird and the the fact that you would
- 56:07even think of doing something like this and her sister makes
- 56:12Fawn fawn makes these picture quilts.
- 56:17I rate you fucking weirdos I know.
- 56:21Who are these people? What did they crawl out of?
- 56:25So strange. I've even thought of making and
- 56:28this is only because my husband and I are obsessed.
- 56:32Like we go to concerts constantly and I'm like, we've
- 56:39like, I need the band T-shirt and the band T-shirt.
- 56:41And I've thought of doing the quilt with like the band Tees
- 56:45and I would never ever use that on a bed, but maybe as like a
- 56:52couch quilt A. Tapestry.
- 56:54Or a tapestry hanging on my wall?
- 56:57No, I'd probably do like a couch quilt or something.
- 57:00Yeah, but not even then because like, band teaser with a lot
- 57:04these days. Not pictures of your fucking
- 57:07family's faces. I just love that you're saying
- 57:12moment for some of our listeners who are up to speed on Sister
- 57:15Wives, OK? And in the last season, which I
- 57:18believe is season 20 at this point, there is a quilt, another
- 57:34life that he asks her to disassemble to give him back the
- 57:43shirt. No, we can't.
- 57:46You know, we don't have the time.
- 57:47We don't have the, I don't have the energy, we don't have the
- 57:50personal strength to go down this rabbit hole right now.
- 57:52Also, I don't want to give anything away other than what I
- 57:54already gave away. At the end of the day, Meri made
- 58:02point in time. So I love that you brought that
- 58:05up because I'm just going to have to refer to you as Meri
- 58:082.0. Oh my God.
- 58:10That's a beautiful. Thing.
- 58:11Oh my God, Oh my. God, your husband's going to be
- 58:14so. Do you even realize how much
- 58:16work it is to make a quilt, Christopher?
- 58:18It's so much fucking work. Apologies to everyone who's ever
- 58:23High school. Graduation gift or something
- 58:24because I we don't mean to be offensive about quilt making a
- 58:31And quotes and it's hideous. My grandma and like one of my
- 58:36like best aunties makes quilts and they're fucking amazing and
- 58:39I have a few of them and I'm like cherish them.
- 58:43However, faces. I know.
- 58:45And it's it's, it's a choice. It's and they're like school
- 58:48photos, by the way, they're not like cute funny photos.
- 58:51They're hard to say. Because it's not well done.
- 58:53It's just not well done. No, like it'd be funny.
- 58:56Maybe if they were like silly faces from like a gathering of
- 59:04School pictures. I'd be humiliated if I was them.
- 59:14playing the video for Logan, which is really cute.
- 59:17They put it on is it and OK, well, parts of it are cute.
- 59:20OK, thank you for asking. Thank you for asking.
- 59:22Only parts of it are cute. So they start playing this video
- 59:26and unfortunately the first clip
- 59:31now Mckelty, Mckelty, Mckelty.
- 59:36and you were talking about how
- 59:38might have adjusted and how they
- 59:40And someone who did not adjust
- 59:42fucking Mckelty because to this day she's obnoxious as fuck.
- 59:47But her bit she thinks she's so fucking funny.
- 59:49She's like pretending to cry. So Logan leaving and then she's
- 59:53like. Fake weapon tears.
- 59:59And doing your coy little bit.
- 1:00:03favorite. Just remember that.
- 1:00:09Now I have to add Mckelty to the
- 1:00:12well and it is the lamest fucking thing I may have ever
- 1:00:15seen in my entire life. Now I hate to say it because I'm
- 1:00:19sure at this point, well no, I
- 1:00:22you know it's tough to talk trash about children but someone
- 1:00:25has to and it is me. Mckelty, you fucking suck.
- 1:00:28And that sucked and it was not
- 1:00:30I'm getting like secondhand embarrassment so hard.
- 1:00:33And Janelle says, oh, I thought that he was maybe going to
- 1:00:36watch a couple and then take it up to his room and finish
- 1:00:38watching. Watching it.
- 1:00:39No, he watches the whole thing with the whole family and I have
- 1:00:49way to the end of the hands. Embarrassment.
- 1:00:52You like I got my 20 second hand embarrassment.
- 1:00:55I got my toes out. Yeah.
- 1:00:57I'm so embarrassed. You've got to count my toes too.
- 1:01:01Oh honey, count my toes. Oh, he's got one toe.
- 1:01:05He doesn't have toes. Now the reason honey, that I
- 1:01:08said it was cute is because we
- 1:01:11Maddie's little video. That was cute.
- 1:01:14Was it? Yes, it was, she goes on.
- 1:01:19OK, so it's it's a little long, I don't know, but she talks
- 1:01:22about when they were little kids
- 1:01:26protect her from anything, including.
- 1:01:28She's already fucking told this story before.
- 1:01:30I know, but OK, so she I love you.
- 1:01:34What the hell is what's happening in this episode?
- 1:01:36Because now you're saying that
- 1:01:39insensitive because she's shared
- 1:01:41It seems like it's regurgitating
- 1:01:45think it's cute. I feel like she's like smirking
- 1:01:50in the clip, like she knows people liked this and so she's
- 1:01:53going to repeat the same story.
- 1:01:55No, the reason you guys. OK, so she shares the story,
- 1:01:59which we have already talked about on the show because she
- 1:02:01has shared it. OK, yes, he says, I'll protect
- 1:02:04You're a great friend. I'm going to protect you even
- 1:02:07from tornadoes because she was so scared of tornadoes.
- 1:02:09So she's sharing the story on this video.
- 1:02:12And yes, Kimber is tearing her to shreds unnecessarily.
- 1:02:15So because it's not that. It's not.
- 1:02:18I mean, it is what it is. Yes, she's shared it before.
- 1:02:20But as the clip is playing on the TV, they cut over to her on
- 1:02:24the couch and she is crying. She is red faced.
- 1:02:27She is like feeling the feels about how much she loves her
- 1:02:31brother. I can't even believe that I'm
- 1:02:33defending Maddie at this moment. OK, the only reason that might
- 1:02:39here. Going.
- 1:02:42God, don't leave Abby Norman. Shared In this episode, I'm
- 1:02:47going to call you a heartless bitch because this was really
- 1:02:51cute. It really was.
- 1:02:53She wraps it up by saying like you ended up being such a great
- 1:02:57Big Brother and like a fantastic best friend and I'm
- 1:03:00going to miss you. Yeah, she doesn't want to be
- 1:03:03fucking left alone with this goddamn family.
- 1:03:07Holy. Fuck, I don't know how else you
- 1:03:11get anything different from that.
- 1:03:12She's like, God damn it, Logan's fucking leaving and I'm sad.
- 1:03:17Like, she is one of the children that's like, ready to get out of
- 1:03:26heart on this podcast. I mean, I think.
- 1:03:31Oh, did you hear that pause? I'm leaving that pause in
- 1:03:35because. I think when my sister left, I
- 1:03:37was a little Jelly in the belly.
- 1:03:38I was a little like, God damn, you know, like, fair enough.
- 1:03:41I want to be where you're at right now.
- 1:03:43And I think a lot of siblings that are close in age and me and
- 1:03:53And I think that Maddie is one year off and she's like just sad
- 1:04:01I don't know if how heartfelt that is.
- 1:04:04I don't, I don't even know what to say.
- 1:04:06It felt like I, I, I hear you, honey.
- 1:04:09OK, well so all of us traumatized by the older
- 1:04:13siblings that left us first that wasn't.
- 1:04:15You, you can't speak. On it you shut your dirty whore
- 1:04:18mouth. You.
- 1:04:19Can't speak on it. I'll remember that, I'll
- 1:04:23remember that. Holy shit.
- 1:04:25Well, some other people talk, including Hunter, which was like
- 1:04:31Janelle wraps us up with something that literally did
- 1:04:35bring tears to my eyes. So if you say this was not
- 1:04:38heartfelt, then I'm going to condemn you to hell forever.
- 1:04:41Janelle says something like, you know, you've basically been a
- 1:04:45perfect son, so now it's time for you to do something for you,
- 1:04:52And it fades out. And as she's talking, it's one
- 1:04:58very real. She's being very real.
- 1:04:59She wants the best for her son and you can tell.
- 1:05:02Like she's not being a guilt ridden mother for overbearing
- 1:05:05him from a young age with her burdens.
- 1:05:08I guess that's true. It just came across to me as
- 1:05:15like, the thing about Janelle, she doesn't emote a lot, right?
- 1:05:18Like she doesn't give us a lot
- 1:05:20of like highs and lows and feelings.
- 1:05:22So for her to say something like, I want you to do something
- 1:05:27for you, it's almost like she's recognizing even in a moment,
- 1:05:31and it might not be, you know,
- 1:05:36saying I want you to do something for you.
- 1:05:38And that's what touched me is because it's almost like she's
- 1:05:41kind of acknowledging like you
- 1:05:44we parentified you and blah, blah, blah.
- 1:05:46She's acknowledging that she fucked up, so good on you.
- 1:05:52And for those of us with the heart it touched, yes.
- 1:05:55It was it was touching, but at
- 1:05:58gratifying. Again, I'm going to tell you to
- 1:06:01like move on. Do something for yourself for
- 1:06:04once. Like that's your fucking child,
- 1:06:06bitch. She's standing there with Kody's
- 1:06:08arm around her shoulder in the
- 1:06:12forced, oh, what are you going
- 1:06:17And Kody's standing there with
- 1:06:20awkward. And this is what she said.
- 1:06:22And I don't, I'm not trying to
- 1:06:26sudden. I just think a lot of these
- 1:06:28people are being like so fucking
- 1:06:30And they're not. I don't know how to say it, but
- 1:06:34I was supposed. To say like, hope you fucking
- 1:06:36survive. I mean like it's touching.
- 1:06:38Moment I love you so much. Like thank you for everything
- 1:06:41that you've done for me and for this family.
- 1:06:43Like I just seems like a self gratifying in a way, like
- 1:06:49unburdening herself. Sure.
- 1:06:52Unburdened Janelle. Yeah.
- 1:06:55Unburdened. Were you unburdened in that
- 1:06:56moment? Logan looks legit touched and
- 1:06:59pleased with their heartfelt messages.
- 1:07:01He does of course, except for Mckelty because she's an idiot.
- 1:07:04But literally like everyone else's message, she's watching
- 1:07:08it and looking like, you know,
- 1:07:12are throwing shit in his face.
- 1:07:14their wrapping paper from his quilt.
- 1:07:16From his quilt gift, you know,
- 1:07:20legitimately touched and you know, that's, that's cute to
- 1:07:23see. They start playing a bunch of
- 1:07:25cornball music here, cornball music, cornball music, and.
- 1:07:31Kody, of course, has made a plan
- 1:07:34properties. We can't end a season without
- 1:07:38visiting the property. Yes, the cul-de-sac to see the
- 1:07:42progress, to check it out with
- 1:07:45of course, well, Logan's going
- 1:07:48which basically means to like a suburb of the city they live
- 1:07:51in. So we've got to make the
- 1:07:53journey, the pilgrimage, not to Jerusalem, not to Nauvoo, but to
- 1:08:00So then, of course, Kody has this voice over talking about
- 1:08:03how more kids will be making plans to leave the nest after
- 1:08:07they move into these houses. But he's most anxious about Meri
- 1:08:14So Oh my God, this other plot point that we cannot escape the
- 1:08:19houses and the baby. Which is so forest.
- 1:08:21And then of course, we're showing Logan packing his car
- 1:08:25kind of at the same time, and Meri is filming Logan packing
- 1:08:29his car up and mentions, oh, you forgot the quilt.
- 1:08:33And he's like, don't worry, I was just going back to get that.
- 1:08:46Kody, he talks about how Robyn
- 1:08:50how they've set up their planning to move into the houses
- 1:08:53and to get settled and Meri needs to make her decision yes
- 1:08:57or no, which we've talked about before.
- 1:08:59Every commercial break leading
- 1:09:02Yep, surrogacy versus in vitro
- 1:09:06and thinks she should carry the baby.
- 1:09:08And it's their decision, yes or no, and that's what they're
- 1:09:12going to do. After they move into the houses,
- 1:09:14he wants a decision for the well-being of the family.
- 1:09:19We need to know is it really the
- 1:09:24I mean no. It is not the well-being of the
- 1:09:26family God. It is a plot point for the third
- 1:09:29or fourth season in a row. All right, so the entire Brown
- 1:09:33family, the whole clan arrives
- 1:09:36cul-de-sac and the framing is going up and everyone's excited
- 1:09:40to see the progress. We do get shots of the houses
- 1:09:43actually being built and it's interesting to see houses going
- 1:09:46up. I mean, it's a lot framing.
- 1:09:49I shouldn't say interesting. It's just framing.
- 1:09:51I don't know why I said it was
- 1:09:53It's not. Janelle says it's really cool to
- 1:09:56see the houses and Robyn has to,
- 1:10:01her, but she has to counter with her explanation her.
- 1:10:05I don't know what the word is not.
- 1:10:08Whatever her commentary. Her commentary?
- 1:10:12I know it's like all of a sudden
- 1:10:18It's roll necklace clinking, clinking, clinking.
- 1:10:21Yeah, her necklace, was she wearing the IT was like the the
- 1:10:25circle with the pen. She was.
- 1:10:26Wearing like a big jump ring, yeah.
- 1:10:28OK, OK. It's a bunch of pendants hanging
- 1:10:30on the bottom. Yeah.
- 1:10:32And she's like, I know. It's like all of a sudden it's.
- 1:10:35Roll. It's roll.
- 1:10:37It's roll. Fucking Robyn.
- 1:10:40It's like roll. And because this is the show
- 1:10:43that we're watching, and because
- 1:10:45listening about us watching, the
- 1:10:50come up again, where Kody says
- 1:10:53on creating the written vision
- 1:10:57the new houses being built. Oh, he's such a wise man.
- 1:11:02He's such a thoughtful man. He's such a bright man.
- 1:11:06It's a good time to write the family mission statement.
- 1:11:10And we get to see a flashback to
- 1:11:14sister, cousins and their husbands.
- 1:11:16Sister, cousins and their husbands.
- 1:11:21Oh my God. Oh my God.
- 1:11:23And what did he say? Remember you, you, you pointed
- 1:11:25out what he said, how at the time when he was in business,
- 1:11:28because, you know, he's a business major.
- 1:11:29And at the time it was in Vogue.
- 1:11:31It was. It was in vogue when I was in
- 1:11:34Business School to write a mission statement.
- 1:11:36Like in Vogue. Like give me a fucking break.
- 1:11:40Who says that? Oh my God.
- 1:11:43Marilyn Monroe, Dietrich and DiMaggio.
- 1:11:45Yes, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:11:49Don't just stand there. Let's get to it.
- 1:11:52Please, Joe. Let's write a mission statement.
- 1:11:56Let's write a mission statement,
- 1:11:58I lost it. It wasn't that bad.
- 1:12:01It wasn't. That bad?
- 1:12:02It wasn't that bad to it. You know, Kody tells us that as
- 1:12:06a family, we need to sit down and discuss these things because
- 1:12:09I think we all have different visions in our head of what this
- 1:12:12means, and we need to bring it
- 1:12:16And Oh my God, Meri has to jump in with her precious pearls,
- 1:12:19her wisdom, and she's, of course, on the verge of tears
- 1:12:22and then starts crying. We wouldn't be here without if
- 1:12:26we weren't all committed. We know the commitment is
- 1:12:30already there. I mean, there's been times that
- 1:12:34probably every one of us would
- 1:12:42My gosh, Kody thinks that they
- 1:12:46nostalgia by writing a mission
- 1:12:50And this is the moment of the entire season for me.
- 1:12:59Oh God, what is the moment, darling?
- 1:13:02Kody is wearing a purple shirt
- 1:13:07down the front and the pocket says.
- 1:13:11Oh yeah. Guess G.
- 1:13:14Guess G. He was never wearing Prada.
- 1:13:21It was guess, as one of our viewers so kindly pointed out.
- 1:13:25Yes, it probably was. And you know, I kind of after
- 1:13:31that was mentioned earlier on,
- 1:13:34right. But it was just pointed out
- 1:13:37blatantly here that it was guessed jeans and this purple
- 1:13:41shirt with the rivets all over.
- 1:13:42And I want to know, with all these layers and all of the
- 1:13:46things that the women are doing, were they being sponsored by the
- 1:13:56I don't know. I mean, Robyn was a guest jeans
- 1:13:59model, right? And now Kody's Rain guests.
- 1:14:01No, no, no, she was a Diesel Jeans.
- 1:14:04Model shit even higher brow. This is a Diesel jeans fuck she
- 1:14:09wore to JC Penney's or something once.
- 1:14:11OK, well there's that. You know, if they were, I'm just
- 1:14:18like the rule was at least like 4 layers at a time so the Browns
- 1:14:26Totally would. They totally would.
- 1:14:27And these jeans with the big ol, you know, stitching down and
- 1:14:34guess shirts and. Very of the time, yeah, it is
- 1:14:38good to know that guess was probably the outcome.
- 1:14:40It is funny that we were going, could it be Prada?
- 1:14:43And we're like why? Why would it be Prada?
- 1:14:45What's happening? The guess label wasn't on it at
- 1:14:48all. It was like just the outline and
- 1:14:54weird at the time and it was like trying to be a flex type of
- 1:15:07thing. So it is weird too that it would
- 1:15:10be Guess because Guess is known as like a sexy brand.
- 1:15:14Yeah, it was like Anna Nicole Smith was a guest model.
- 1:15:16Yeah, for sure. Like it was not a polygamous
- 1:15:20brand. No, I guess the whole thing.
- 1:15:23I guess the whole thing, right.
- 1:15:25Fucking confusing whether it was Prada or Guest, but it was.
- 1:15:29Guess yeah. And as the montage of Logan
- 1:15:31hugging everyone goodbye at the property starts, the soundtrack
- 1:15:35begins with Sarah McLachlan building a mystery about the
- 1:15:40guest jeans. There's not dogs and puppies
- 1:15:44crying and singing in the arms of the.
- 1:15:47Instead it was Kody was wearing guests all along.
- 1:15:51So thank you for guessing probably correctly listener yes,
- 1:15:58Yes, you're probably right. Christine starts listing off all
- 1:16:11We get a lot of gems here. Yeah, Christine has a literal
- 1:16:15like paragraph of blah blah blah.
- 1:16:16I don't even know if I can do a Christine voice.
- 1:16:19Do I have the strength? No.
- 1:16:21It can't be too late. We have to unite there to get
- 1:16:26these kids to want to come back home.
- 1:16:31Home. Get them to come back home.
- 1:16:36And maybe start with having Christmas there or something.
- 1:16:40And then Robyn has to say it will be the last Christmas with
- 1:16:45Leon and Aspen at home. And then she looks at Meri, and
- 1:16:50Meri starts to cry. They're all crying.
- 1:16:53Don't say that, Don't say that, says Meri.
- 1:16:58Robyn, we'll get the house. We'll get the house before
- 1:17:03Christmas Day. We'll push.
- 1:17:06We'll push as hard as I push Saul out my pussy.
- 1:17:11We'll push. Which if we if I remember
- 1:17:15correctly, was more about like Saul just came out.
- 1:17:20Pushing him out. Pushing him out.
- 1:17:23Pushing him out, because remember.
- 1:17:27Solomon. Uncle Stepdaddy Paul was there
- 1:17:35It was very cool. So if Robyn has anything to do
- 1:17:42homes at Christmas as she pushed Solomon out of that loose
- 1:17:51Lewis allegedly. Loose.
- 1:17:53Allegedly loose. Very tight.
- 1:17:55Just from alleged rumors we've heard, it's not.
- 1:17:59True alleged. Very alleged.
- 1:18:02After, you know, Robyn reassures Meri that they're going to get
- 1:18:09have. We'll push.
- 1:18:11She'll have a Lamaze over these houses, Meri says.
- 1:18:14I'm just not ready for Leon to leave.
- 1:18:17Leon keeps saying to me we need to move into these houses as
- 1:18:21soon as we can because I'm going to be gone.
- 1:18:24And so they just want to have as much time as they can.
- 1:18:29Mama. I want to feel rich for once in
- 1:18:32my life before I move on. Mama.
- 1:18:37Leon's just going like I'm a selfish bitch and I want to be
- 1:18:45and I'm a spoiled brat. I'm hello before I'm going to be
- 1:18:52sleep on the floor in the emergency room.
- 1:18:54I'd really like to live with these homes because you get me
- 1:19:05Oh my gosh. Sorry, Leon, we actually don't
- 1:19:21So it's we're talking about
- 1:19:23Christmas. So, you know, ladies and
- 1:19:26gentlemen, boys and girls, listeners of all ages, shapes
- 1:19:29and sizes of this podcast. We're approaching the end of
- 1:19:32this episode. And Kody has to, of course, wrap
- 1:19:36up the episode because this is
- 1:19:39before. This is Kody's show.
- 1:19:42And he tells us, since Logan was
- 1:19:45view that we are one family. So I feel like we're giving our
- 1:19:49kids a very solid foundation and
- 1:19:54It's been a very grounding place.
- 1:19:56They've had all these siblings
- 1:20:00children. I believe they're going to be
- 1:20:03very good citizens of the planet.
- 1:20:06He didn't say of the planet. And I believe that this is
- 1:20:09because of the experience that
- 1:20:12big family together. And now, OK, I mean, what I
- 1:20:18think he's trying to say is that
- 1:20:20to be good people because they've all had this warm, large
- 1:20:26family in their upbringing and
- 1:20:29Yeah, now blah blah blah. Now cut 2.
- 1:20:32In recent years, it hasn't been the case.
- 1:20:35They've been in separate homes, and as Christina's told us,
- 1:20:38their family is failing and falling apart.
- 1:20:40So Kody's like, I need to bring these kids together so that we
- 1:20:43can be producing outstanding citizens.
- 1:20:48I think what he's trying to say,
- 1:20:52they've become tolerant of each other.
- 1:20:55And so they'll be tolerant of the world and be good citizens.
- 1:21:00Had to learn to be tolerant of
- 1:21:02the Mckelty's of the family, the
- 1:21:06Robyns of the family. No.
- 1:21:10And so they're going to be good citizens.
- 1:21:13I love. Janelle is on this list for you.
- 1:21:16Mckelty. Janelle and Robyn like oh.
- 1:21:19And the Christians, the naivete.
- 1:21:21Thank you. I can support the world.
- 1:21:23I can, absolutely. The marries, the particulars,
- 1:21:26you know, they've grown up in this large of the family, the
- 1:21:30code bodies, the narcissists of the world, they're going to be
- 1:21:45dynamic family. It's almost like when your
- 1:21:48parents insist that you try foods.
- 1:21:50Yeah. So that you know, if you like
- 1:21:52them or not. You know, it's almost like maybe
- 1:21:58Let's get into mousse bouche of people in this family and let's
- 1:22:01see how we all react together.
- 1:22:03well-rounded citizen because you've had to taste all the
- 1:22:06flavors. Kennedy's not the only one with
- 1:22:09a charcuterie board on this episode.
- 1:22:11The Brown family is a charcuterie board.
- 1:22:14You don't like olives? Tough shit.
- 1:22:15It's touching. That salami you're going to eat?
- 1:22:17You don't like rotten cheese? Too bad, avoid it.
- 1:22:21Rotten cheese. I'm not talking about my quality
- 1:22:24at all. They're just on the circuitry
- 1:22:27board in general. Some good flavors, some
- 1:22:29disgusting flavors, and the entire spectrum in between.
- 1:22:33Now you got the crackers. Oh, this is give me some.
- 1:22:36Just give me a cracker. Literally.
- 1:22:38All a bunch of fucking crackers.
- 1:22:40Boys, not only does he love some spuds, but he can eat a cracker.
- 1:22:46dynamic flavors in my mouth. I could use it just like a
- 1:22:49buttercup. A Raisin.
- 1:22:51A Raisin. There's a bunch of raisins in
- 1:22:53this. Family.
- 1:22:53There are some reasons in this
- 1:22:56inedible? Are.
- 1:22:58They a blueberry Raisin. Are they a grape Raisin?
- 1:23:01Are they a crazin? Are you excited about them being
- 1:23:05in your mouth now? The worst part about this entire
- 1:23:08episode for me was that the episode ends with Robyn hugging
- 1:23:12Logan at the cul-de-sac. Like, oh, Robyn's going to give
- 1:23:17him a farewell embrace. And I'm like, puke, puke, vomit
- 1:23:21because Robyn has been the least
- 1:23:24child. He's off to college and we have
- 1:23:26to give her the nice edit? Fuck that.
- 1:23:29Like, OK, so her sister made a disgusting quilt.
- 1:23:32Yeah. I don't know.
- 1:23:34I wish they'd shown him peeling out of the cul-de-sac with the
- 1:23:41That was so good. He's like bye bitches.
- 1:23:45Peace out, Girl Scouts. Yes, shoot.
- 1:23:48Eat my shit. So good.
- 1:23:51Squealing tires. Logan leaving.
- 1:23:53That would have been a better way to end the episode.
- 1:23:56Yeah, Cuddle monkey, you failed us again.
- 1:23:58As per usual. Usual and another end of a
- 1:24:01season with us at the cul-de-sac.
- 1:24:04There were no kites. There was no fake wine there.
- 1:24:08Was some framing. There was some framing and there
- 1:24:14Darling, how do you feel? I feel like they just keep
- 1:24:19bringing us on back to the cul-de-sac and the baby and I'm
- 1:24:24uncomfortable with it all. Yeah, leaving my ass just a
- 1:24:28little trapped. Oh a chapped ass.
- 1:24:30I love how I said oh a chapped ass.
- 1:24:34Like not a fan of a chapped ass. I'm really hoping that in season
- 1:24:44End with Meri deciding whether she's going to have a baby or
- 1:24:48not. We better not end there again or
- 1:24:56appointments for my ass or I'm going to need to call a Robyn
- 1:25:01and be like, you owe me some fucking Boudreaux.
- 1:25:05Butt cream. Robyn probably has like 17
- 1:25:09bottles of it, even though she hasn't had a baby in like 27
- 1:25:12years. She's like, I got to make sure I
- 1:25:15I put it on my herpes lips that night.
- 1:25:18And I put it under my eyes to help with the bags and it's
- 1:25:23like, Oh my God, put it on your goiter, girl.
- 1:25:25Your goiter. OK you guys, you've made it to
- 1:25:37have. You made it.
- 1:25:37Please say you've made it. Please let us know you made it.
- 1:25:40Please.
- 1:25:40Raise your hand if you're safe.
- 1:25:43Let us know if you need butt ointment as well.
- 1:25:46If you need Boudreaux's butt paste, just go on Amazon about
- 1:25:52now, mustard seed and shit stain, darling, because I am a
- 1:26:01You decide. Who here to let me pick?
- 1:26:03Yes. And you tell us, do you want a
- 1:26:07Oh. I'm excited.
- 1:26:08I never get this opportunity as a woman, as a.
- 1:26:13Woman. I never get this choice.
- 1:26:17I am going to start with my mustard seed and I think it's
- 1:26:23going to be very easy and it's going to go to Logan for dealing
- 1:26:51like metaphors that came with it.
- 1:26:55The teeing up of your dad being bald and ugly when he looked
- 1:26:59exactly like you. I'm so sorry for you.
- 1:27:03I'm so sorry for that. And you deserve this mustard
- 1:27:07seed because this season overall, thank God you made it
- 1:27:13and you made it out alive and you were the first to make it
- 1:27:16out alive. And we do love you.
- 1:27:19We do love you, Logan Brown, and
- 1:27:23hope you are well. And so yes, you get my mustard
- 1:27:27seed, and I hope you're still flourishing and growing and
- 1:27:30making Dijon mustard as we speak.
- 1:27:33Why Dijon mustard? I don't know.
- 1:27:35There's lots of mustard seed. There's a.
- 1:27:38Mustard seed. OK, there's.
- 1:27:40A lot of mustard seeds in Dijon.
- 1:27:42I love it. I love how I'm like.
- 1:27:44I don't get it. I'm.
- 1:27:45A damn dummy. I'm Schleu.
- 1:27:47Call me Robyn. Just call me.
- 1:27:49Robyn. Not like it's made of dull
- 1:27:53Pickles. Dull pickle.
- 1:27:54It's a big dull pickle. Dull.
- 1:27:56My mustard seed for this episode goes to one Janelle Brown
- 1:28:02because I think she was a good sport about things with Logan
- 1:28:09leaving. I think as far as how emotional
- 1:28:12she gets and how she emotes and what she expresses, it was
- 1:28:17probably on that wavelength if not a little more from my
- 1:28:22perspective. I also like that she didn't have
- 1:28:30didn't make the decision I would have made about the concrete pad
- 1:28:36ruined by her children and pets.
- 1:28:39I do like that she was very practical about the house
- 1:28:43choices and the selects like it made sense.
- 1:28:46And I think sending off your oldest to college is probably an
- 1:28:49emotional experience. And I think that she expressed
- 1:28:54herself well for her, I don't know, other than Logan, it was
- 1:28:59hard to come up with a mustard
- 1:29:00Do you know who else? Like who else would I even pick?
- 1:29:03I don't know I feel like Janelle
- 1:29:08Kody the way he was standing over her in the video with his
- 1:29:11arm around her. But I I agree she did minimal
- 1:29:17but OK things in the stuff as.
- 1:29:21going. Who else would it be, Christine?
- 1:29:24I can't, yeah, because. I know, but I can't do it.
- 1:29:26If I was going to say another one, it would probably be
- 1:29:29Christine because she didn't give her budget away to Meri,
- 1:29:32even though she was pressured to
- 1:29:36and she made the right decisions for herself.
- 1:29:39And then that was kind of like
- 1:29:41Way Yeah, I feel that, but I can't do it, so OK, I appreciate
- 1:29:46that though yeah, Shit stain. Shit stain honey.
- 1:29:50The smeariest of smears, Yeah,
- 1:29:58to be Kody Brown coming in hot
- 1:30:05It starts out with him pitting
- 1:30:10their budgets. Even though they were supposed
- 1:30:12to have an equal budget. He obviously was saying stuff
- 1:30:16behind their backs about Oh well
- 1:30:21this. And then he straight up fucking
- 1:30:23lied not even a minute later to our faces, the viewers, the
- 1:30:27viewers faces. He thought a commercial break
- 1:30:30would erase our memories and straight upset.
- 1:30:34Oh no, I was joking. He was not joking.
- 1:30:36He was dead fucking serious about Christine giving her
- 1:30:41budget for the front of her house to marry and it's like OK
- 1:30:47you disgust me because that is
- 1:30:52what was missed behind the scenes?
- 1:30:55Second of all, every clip that
- 1:31:01hating his hair when he looks exactly like his oldest child
- 1:31:06that's about to leave for college and he's talking shit
- 1:31:09about himself is disgusting to
- 1:31:14Fucking disgusting. Quit talking shit about yourself
- 1:31:16in front of your children. Quit talking shit about yourself
- 1:31:19when you literally look exactly like your oldest child with the
- 1:31:22same haircut that he has when he's about to leave for college.
- 1:31:25Like get a grip on reality. You're not that important.
- 1:31:29No one gives a fuck about your
- 1:31:32self-righteous, self-centered piece of brown under a schmear.
- 1:31:38Third of all, he can't grill a
- 1:31:43If I said all right, I'm going
- 1:31:48ass, grill me the perfect medium
- 1:31:56well, well, well. Embarrassment.
- 1:32:00Fucking embarrassment. It's not even to men.
- 1:32:04I'm not saying to men. It's an embarrassment to anyone
- 1:32:06who can claim to grill a steak.
- 1:32:08I don't claim to grill a steak. I can't fucking grill a steak to
- 1:32:12That's going to be your thing. I can't do it.
- 1:32:14Don't fuck it up. Don't put a firework under my
- 1:32:17ass. I'm not claiming I can do it.
- 1:32:19Kody. Fuck you.
- 1:32:21You can't grill a steak. Yeah.
- 1:32:22And then at the end, it's like the baby comment again.
- 1:32:27Womp, womp. Bringing it back to Robyn.
- 1:32:29Womp, womp. Bring it back to the cul-de-sac.
- 1:32:34Repeatedly, again and again. This whole episode.
- 1:32:37You're failing us as per usual.
- 1:32:39And so you get my shit stain. Yeah, that's that's that.
- 1:32:43I'm wrestling between Meri and Robyn.
- 1:32:47OK. And I think I'm, I think
- 1:32:50unfortunately, I'm going to default to Robyn because Meri,
- 1:33:01Like some serious issues going on there.
- 1:33:03Maybe a little Hershey squirt. Right, like a little like, girl,
- 1:33:08But I'm kidding. Maybe like the little girl you
- 1:33:15Girl, you need to just go and. Check yourself.
- 1:33:20Like just if you. If you don't, that's fine, but
- 1:33:29though I feel like she's tied with Meri because Robyn, I feel
- 1:33:34like giving the quilt to Logan was a way to draw attention to
- 1:33:44like, I feel like if I do this thing, it's like a signifier
- 1:33:47about me. It's like a thing.
- 1:33:49It's like a look at me kind of moment.
- 1:33:51And so she got to have her sister make this quilt with
- 1:33:55everyone's hideous school photos on it and be like, look, and if
- 1:33:59you turn it over, it's even uglier.
- 1:34:00And he'll be able to take this with him forever and it'll be
- 1:34:04this big imprint on his life. And then when we're doing the go
- 1:34:10the least involved in Logan's life, gets to like carry over
- 1:34:15the laundry basket with the quilt in it and then be like,
- 1:34:18let me tell you a story and let me blah, blah, blah.
- 1:34:22And then when they're wrapping up the fucking episode, she's
- 1:34:25hugging him goodbye. Like, oh, my child's going off
- 1:34:30doesn't even know how to spell your former last name.
- 1:34:33Like you're not. Or your first name.
- 1:34:36Most people don't. Know.
- 1:34:38That's good. I just, even though I feel like
- 1:34:43there's more reasons on a list to give it to Meri, I'm giving
- 1:34:51in these episodes and sometimes there's not even attention
- 1:34:54brought to it. Like on this one.
- 1:34:56I feel like if you were casually viewing it and you didn't know
- 1:35:00She's doing this thing and she's whatever.
- 1:35:02It's like, no, she's putting headphones on her baby.
- 1:35:05I was going to say the putting the headphones on the baby.
- 1:35:08It's another one. It's another one.
- 1:35:11She's wearing her hideous jewelry.
- 1:35:12She's Hawking her sister's terrible quilts.
- 1:35:15She's just a mess. If anything the quilt is to like
- 1:35:23fucked up. I think I I don't think her
- 1:35:25sister made that out of the generosity of her heart.
- 1:35:27And it was probably okayed by Kody because every penny that
- 1:35:31Robyn spends is okayed by Kody. And she probably has an Etsy
- 1:35:34store that was like a linked somewhere online on those face
- 1:35:41unraveling, I believe of this family is Robyn's out of control
- 1:35:45So this is just a little tidbit into oh, not even her bio kid,
- 1:35:53about her opinion and what she's doing or whatever.
- 1:35:55She's like, let me spend a bunch of money on this thing and make
- 1:35:58it all about me even though I'm not making it about me.
- 1:36:01She's covert, She's manipulative, but she's also
- 1:36:04like dumb. So I don't know how she does it.
- 1:36:08manipulative? Well, you can.
- 1:36:09Be selfish and dumb, just like
- 1:36:13dumb. Yeah, I just don't know.
- 1:36:16I mean, any dumb person can spend a shit ton of money and
- 1:36:20like hurt their whole fucking family and not understand the
- 1:36:25gravity of it because they're a narcissist.
- 1:36:27You know, like true. Any narcissist can also go
- 1:36:31online and talk to whoever they want to make themselves feel
- 1:36:34better and then come back and be
- 1:36:39I didn't realize that emotional cheating was a thing and I
- 1:36:42didn't realize it was hurting you.
- 1:36:44Like people are so fucking dumb.
- 1:36:46And actually, I would argue that most narcissists are dumb and
- 1:36:51that's part of the reason that they're narcissists is because
- 1:36:57intelligence and other people's emotions.
- 1:36:59Regardless of who's dumb in this family, they're, well, they're
- 1:37:06There's a lot of dumb things and dumb people happening on this
- 1:37:10show and this episode in particular.
- 1:37:12Robyn, even though, like I've already said, I think Meri
- 1:37:16qualifies more in certain ways, I think Robyn is more fuck you
- 1:37:25Like Meri's defensiveness with Kody and them both making up the
- 1:37:32I'm done, blah blah, blah blah, blah.
- 1:37:33And then being like, we're all going to pretend everything's
- 1:37:35fine here. Totally delusional and
- 1:37:38ridiculous. But Robyn, it's like she gets
- 1:37:40away with this shit. It's like under the radar and I
- 1:37:44just. I think some of the stuff is
- 1:37:47like self preservation versus I'm better than.
- 1:37:50So you've got like self preservation from Christine and
- 1:37:54Janelle and you get something in between from Meri and then
- 1:37:59you get like I am better than and I rise above from Kody and
- 1:38:04Robyn. I feel that for sure, yeah.
- 1:38:07And in the recent episodes where
- 1:38:10between Kody and Robyn, I absolutely agreed.
- 1:38:13And they're not necessarily so
- 1:38:17It's like if you really stop and
- 1:38:21not take accountability. They love to do things where no
- 1:38:24one's going to really notice what's happening.
- 1:38:26They want to prove they're very approval based.
- 1:38:29And so it's like, I can't be a
- 1:38:32I need to look good. Like circular thoughts.
- 1:38:36I'm going to blame other people and I don't want to be the fall
- 1:38:40guy. Exactly.
- 1:38:42Exactly. Well OK, so Kody and Robyn get
- 1:38:45the shit stains for the end of
- 1:38:47Makes sense. The math is mathing on that.
- 1:38:49It sure is. Our keep sweet moment for this
- 1:38:52episode is a TikTok comment left
- 1:38:58which I do like Shindell Maibel.
- 1:38:59It's kind of got a little ring to it like that.
- 1:39:02And they commented on one of our posts saying I listen to you
- 1:39:05guys at work and you make my day go by faster.
- 1:39:09Thank you so much. Which I know the reason I wanted
- 1:39:16work. I think about doing things where
- 1:39:21That and when I'm sitting at work and I'm waiting for the
- 1:39:24time to go by to go like this, tick tock, tick tock.
- 1:39:28And I like to listen to podcasts too at work to make the time go
- 1:39:32by. So I appreciate you listening to
- 1:39:37Thank you, Shindel Maibel, and just like we talked about at the
- 1:39:43and subscribed and whatever, please do.
- 1:39:45Even if you listen to our show every week and you're like, I
- 1:39:47see it every week, I don't need to subscribe or follow.
- 1:39:49Please do because it will help us so much in the long run.
- 1:39:53Thank you, Shindel Maibel for your praise.
- 1:39:56We will accept the praise. If you haven't given us a five
- 1:40:06including Chris's Ding a Ling. It's more like Dong Dong Dong
- 1:40:17Dong. I'm a liar and a fraud.
