Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Drop it, drop it. Big 98.7.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Do you remember a story I told you, I think
- 0:07Speaker 2: it was a handful of months ago, about Angie and
- 0:10Speaker 2: I were at Unhinged, and there.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Was this moment where.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Angie was talking about, you know, girls not caring about
- 0:18Speaker 2: guys look. Yes.
- 0:20Speaker 3: OK. I had a girlfriend who started dating a guy.
- 0:22Speaker 3: I showed your wife, Corey, guy, not a looker. And
- 0:27Speaker 3: I said, yeah, but girls don't really care as much
- 0:30Speaker 3: about looks as maybe a guy cares about a girl.
- 0:33Speaker 3: And like cutting me off, she was like, oh, yeah, no, no,
- 0:36Speaker 3: they totally don't.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Yeah, Corey answered that a little too quick. Yes, yes.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Hurt my feelings.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Yeah, because it made you feel like she thought that
- 0:43Speaker 3: you were ugly.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Oh, are you trying to cover up or something? Yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Like, clearly we don't because I'm married to this ugly.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 0:48Speaker 3: She didn't say those words, but that was the vibe.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It felt like it. Okay.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Well, we had a guest at our house this weekend,
- 0:56Speaker 2: Corey's aunt, Katie. And they were watching Love Island on
- 1:01Speaker 2: Saturday night.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Oh, catching up.
- 1:03Speaker 1: OK.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And I told you that unhinged story to tell you
- 1:06Speaker 2: this story. We were watching Love Island. And by we,
- 1:10Speaker 2: I mean, I was kind of more trying to get
- 1:12Speaker 2: my daughter to go to sleep and just kind of
- 1:14Speaker 2: bouncing in between my phone and whatever was on the screen.
- 1:17Speaker 2: And there was this funny moment where on that show,
- 1:20Speaker 2: the guys are working out.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:22Speaker 2: And. It was very funny to me because you can
- 1:25Speaker 2: tell there are guys on that show who clearly work
- 1:28Speaker 2: out on a regular basis.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:30Speaker 2: And guys who are only working out because the camera
- 1:33Speaker 2: is on them right there. They're like doing curls wrong.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Because the girls are there.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Because the girls are sitting around watching.
- 1:41Speaker 2: There was a moment where there was a guy doing
- 1:44Speaker 2: pull-ups and it was like, you could see his like
- 1:47Speaker 2: back muscles. This dude's getting his chin to the top
- 1:49Speaker 2: of the bar. I know exactly who you're talking about.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Corbin. And I mean, Katie is her name. We were laughing.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We're like, Oh, see like this guy, he definitely does pull-ups.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Like he works out before the word pull-up got out
- 2:02Speaker 2: of my mouth. My wife, Corey staring at the screen goes,
- 2:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he does.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? You answered
- 2:15Speaker 1: this way too quick.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, he does. I could tell for sure.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Can't you wait for the screen to cut to something else?
- 2:22Speaker 3: Oh, that's so great.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Are you telling.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Does my wife think I'm ugly? This is a genuine
- 2:30Speaker 2: concern of mine.
- 2:31Speaker 1: No.
- 2:33Speaker 3: I don't like the way I said no. That made
- 2:34Speaker 3: it sound like I think she does. I don't think
- 2:37Speaker 3: she thinks you're ugly. I think when someone is doing
- 2:41Speaker 3: pull-ups and those muscles are doing what they're doing, you
- 2:45Speaker 3: can't help but notice.
- 2:47Speaker 2: You can't help how quickly you respond. That was like
- 2:51Speaker 2: an inside reaction that got let out.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Well, you know, she had a baby and it takes
- 2:57Speaker 3: a long time for the postpartum brain to go back
- 3:00Speaker 3: into its normal setting where maybe she would have thought
- 3:04Speaker 3: a second before she made you feel bad about the
- 3:06Speaker 3: fact that you clearly don't work out.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Am I going to have to ban Love Island from
- 3:11Speaker 2: the Glidden House?
- 3:12Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Mornings that don't. Big 98.7. Celebrating life's
- 3:19Speaker 1: little victories. Victory. Every morning we practice gratitude on Big 98.7.
- 3:23Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:26Speaker 2: plastic jar.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Bust it out whenever someone's acting hard. I just really
- 3:31Speaker 1: needed to win, you know.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Share your little victories with us at 701-280-1987. Angie, do
- 3:37Speaker 2: you have a little victory that needs to be celebrated today?
- 3:41Speaker 3: Sometimes when you're an adult, and by that I mean
- 3:44Speaker 3: most times, it takes like a really long time to
- 3:49Speaker 3: be able to set a meetup with a friend and
- 3:51Speaker 3: it actually happen. And so I set a girl date
- 3:56Speaker 3: with our friend MG Batty. And I made that date
- 4:00Speaker 3: two months ago. We set up plans. And finally, on Saturday,
- 4:06Speaker 3: we got to see each other. We hung out. We
- 4:08Speaker 3: went to the Red River Market. We went to that
- 4:11Speaker 3: bookstore overbooked. And I got a new book to give
- 4:14Speaker 3: to Mikey. It's about like Midwest stuff. road trips. And
- 4:18Speaker 3: I met the author. She signed it to Mikey and
- 4:21Speaker 3: she's a local. She's from here. And so we just
- 4:24Speaker 3: had a really fun little girl date that was two
- 4:26Speaker 3: months in the making. And that's my little victory. What
- 4:29Speaker 3: about you, Gabe?
- 4:30Speaker 1: That's wonderful.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I was also at the Red River market on Saturday.
- 4:34Speaker 2: We had texted after I was like, wait, were you
- 4:35Speaker 2: down there? I know, and we did not cross paths.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Did not cross paths, no. My little victory is Corey
- 4:43Speaker 2: has an aunt who is around the same age as her,
- 4:46Speaker 2: which is kind of funny.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'd be like that sometimes.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and so she, who is Kaylee's godmother, spent the
- 4:52Speaker 2: weekend at our house this past weekend, and we got
- 4:55Speaker 2: to do all the... uh daughter aunt walk around shopping
- 5:00Speaker 2: things we enjoyed a little family time on saturday and
- 5:04Speaker 2: it was uh also you know the vikes winning is
- 5:07Speaker 2: a very fun thing to come in here and talk
- 5:09Speaker 2: about but it was just a fun overall weekend having
- 5:12Speaker 2: another guest come up to the glidden house and visit
- 5:15Speaker 2: i know you.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Are very popular because you have the cutest baby alive.
- 5:20Speaker 2: We try that's right so Boy, is it getting hot.
- 5:28Speaker 2: You know how you see lists, you know, state ranks
- 5:31Speaker 2: all the time? You know, best fast food places, best
- 5:35Speaker 2: places to shop, best places to take vacation. Well, we've
- 5:39Speaker 2: never seen a list like this, and it's very pertinent
- 5:41Speaker 2: for us this morning because a new report breaks down
- 5:45Speaker 2: which state spends the most on OnlyFans. And number one
- 5:53Speaker 2: on this list is the state of North Dakota. North
- 5:58Speaker 2: Dakota is spending the most on OnlyFans per capita, shelling
- 6:04Speaker 2: out just shy of $ 280, 000 per 10 adults.
- 6:06Speaker 1: That's over $ 17 million total. That's... Wow.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Wow.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I'm really impressed.
- 6:18Speaker 1: What is this?
- 6:19Speaker 2: Do we have this much extra money rolling around in
- 6:22Speaker 2: North Dakota?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'd say this is a positive.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Cost of living. We're doing pretty good here. We must be.
- 6:30Speaker 3: So we got extra dollars to spend.
- 6:32Speaker 1: An OnlyFans. To shell out on OF.
- 6:35Speaker 3: That's wild work.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It is kind of funny when the rest of the
- 6:38Speaker 2: world is like, oh, what do you do in North
- 6:41Speaker 2: Dakota or Minnesota or Montana during the winter when it's cold?
- 6:44Speaker 3: Apparently.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Now we know exactly what's going on during those months.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Drop it, drop it. Big 98.7. This is Am I
- 6:53Speaker 1: the Problem? It's me. Hi, I'm the problem, it's me.
- 6:58Speaker 1: We'll hear one side of the story and with your help.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I am not the problem. Decide if it's right or
- 7:04Speaker 1: if maybe you're the problem. That's right, I am the problem.
- 7:09Speaker 1: On Big 98.7.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Is Shailene's request of her husband unreasonable? Good morning, Big987.
- 7:18Speaker 3: First off, I want to say that I love my husband.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I married him because he was driven and ambitious, and
- 7:24Speaker 3: I found that sexy. And that ambition and drive has
- 7:27Speaker 3: let us live a very comfortable life. However, when he
- 7:30Speaker 3: turned 40 early this year, he expressed his desire to
- 7:33Speaker 3: leave his job for something less stressful. As a supportive wife,
- 7:38Speaker 3: I obviously want him to be happy at work. But
- 7:41Speaker 3: now he actually wants to make the change, which will
- 7:45Speaker 3: lead to a pay cut. What's tough about that is
- 7:48Speaker 3: the quality of life we've established that our whole family
- 7:52Speaker 3: has become accustomed to. We bond and create memories on vacation.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Our kids have a private school education and a lifelong
- 7:59Speaker 3: friend group that would also be interrupted. I understand his
- 8:04Speaker 3: current career is stressful. But this change does not take
- 8:08Speaker 3: into consideration his family, who he owes an obligation to.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Am I the problem for thinking he should wait until
- 8:15Speaker 3: he can find a comparable job in terms of salary?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yikes.
- 8:20Speaker 3: What do you think? 701-280-1987. Call us. Text us. We
- 8:26Speaker 3: also have this up on the Big 98.7 Facebook page.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I think Shailene sounds bratty a little bit. However, I
- 8:37Speaker 3: don't think, oh, what is this going to make me
- 8:40Speaker 3: sound like? I don't think it's unreasonable for her to
- 8:43Speaker 3: feel this way because you build a life with someone,
- 8:46Speaker 3: you're used to things. And so change is scary. I'll
- 8:50Speaker 3: give her that. I think change is scary. I don't
- 8:53Speaker 3: think it's unreasonable for her to request it. I just
- 8:57Speaker 3: think that if he's like, no, then she has to
- 9:01Speaker 3: deal with it. You know what I mean? I think
- 9:03Speaker 3: she can make the request. I don't think it's unreasonable
- 9:05Speaker 3: for her to not love the change. I get that. However,
- 9:11Speaker 3: that's your husband. You chose him for richer or poorer,
- 9:15Speaker 3: I'm assuming.
- 9:15Speaker 1: And we're about to get poorer. No, I'm just kidding.
- 9:19Speaker 3: And I feel like.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Oh, gosh, I hate to say this because I don't
- 9:24Speaker 3: like agreeing with you, but there's nothing wrong with facing
- 9:27Speaker 3: a little adversity. That's right. So I think she can
- 9:31Speaker 3: ask him. But if it really is that his career
- 9:34Speaker 3: is stressful to the point where it's like really, you know,
- 9:36Speaker 3: affecting him, obviously, I think you're just going to have
- 9:39Speaker 3: to be cool with a pay cut for a while.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's tough to ask to find something that's
- 9:46Speaker 2: maybe comparable in salary because how many jobs do they
- 9:49Speaker 2: have that we have no idea what this guy is making.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but I don't know that you're going to make
- 9:55Speaker 3: a lot of money and.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Not be stressed. Not have a stressful job. Yeah.
- 9:59Speaker 2: How do you get that? I think all of us
- 10:01Speaker 2: would sign up for that. Yeah, I'm kind of with you,
- 10:04Speaker 2: I think. But at the same time, as a dude,
- 10:06Speaker 2: as like a guy, if I was doing pretty well
- 10:10Speaker 2: and I wanted to get out of it and my
- 10:13Speaker 2: wife was not thrilled.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'd probably just go be stressed every day. Oh, really? Bro,
- 10:19Speaker 1: just eat it, dude.
- 10:20Speaker 2: That's just what being a guy is, is doing things
- 10:23Speaker 2: you don't want to do.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Oh, that's funny. That's what being a dude is.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yes, everyone wants to find the perfect job where they're
- 10:30Speaker 2: happy at work and fulfilled and they get enough time
- 10:34Speaker 2: at home with their family. Everybody on earth wants that job.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Not everybody on earth gets to have that job.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Does anybody have that job?
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm looking for ideas now.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Right. But it's just, I don't know.
- 10:49Speaker 2: As a dude, it'd be hard for me to turn
- 10:51Speaker 2: that down if Corey was really, really sad about the
- 10:54Speaker 2: fact that I was to do something else and lose
- 10:57Speaker 2: a bunch of money with that.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Because if you have bills that you've budgeted for, do
- 11:03Speaker 2: you got to sell some cars now because they can't
- 11:05Speaker 2: afford the car payment? The school thing, having your kids
- 11:09Speaker 2: change school is stressful.
- 11:10Speaker 3: That is stressful. I'm telling you, change is difficult.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I would just wait until the kids were out of school, maybe.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I'd just try to buck up until then, and then
- 11:16Speaker 2: you can go off and open up your lemonade stand
- 11:20Speaker 2: on the corner of your driveway.
- 11:22Speaker 1: That's what I would do.
- 11:23Speaker 3: What are your thoughts?
- 11:24Speaker 2: 701-280-1987.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Big 98.7.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Shailene's husband is the breadwinner for the family, but his
- 11:38Speaker 3: job has been stressing him out, and he wants to
- 11:40Speaker 3: change careers, but that will mean a pay cut. And
- 11:44Speaker 3: she wants to know if she's the problem for thinking
- 11:47Speaker 3: he should wait... to make this change until he finds
- 11:51Speaker 3: something that pays him as much as his current career
- 11:55Speaker 3: pays him because she doesn't want to change their lifestyle
- 11:58Speaker 3: at all.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Sounds funny.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think that she's unreasonable for making the
- 12:05Speaker 3: request just in terms of like change is hard. That
- 12:08Speaker 3: does sound scary. But I think she should be fully
- 12:11Speaker 3: prepared for him to be like, no, I'm not going
- 12:13Speaker 3: to wait.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I'm going to just kind of accept that. Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Gabe, your thoughts. And we did hear from you also
- 12:22Speaker 3: texting in. So we appreciate you.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I would say it kind of depends.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Do they need to get a different house then because
- 12:29Speaker 2: they won't be able to afford the house they're in?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Do they have to sell some cars and get some
- 12:34Speaker 2: less expensive cars? Are all of the bills still going
- 12:38Speaker 2: to be able to get paid and maybe you just
- 12:40Speaker 2: have less fun money?
- 12:42Speaker 3: Well, Riley texted and said if the job he'll be taking,
- 12:47Speaker 3: you can financially afford the pay cut, then he deserves
- 12:50Speaker 3: to do it. Your husband deserves to be happy financially.
- 12:53Speaker 3: And you can make the financial cuts for him to
- 12:55Speaker 3: be in a better space. Sell some things. Downsize. It's doable.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I agree with this. I think if... Obviously, it's not
- 13:03Speaker 3: going to be the standard that.
- 13:05Speaker 1: You're used to. Okay?
- 13:06Speaker 3: Fine. But if it's that you can still cover all
- 13:09Speaker 3: the bills and live without being stressed about being paycheck
- 13:13Speaker 3: to paycheck, then I feel like that makes sense because...
- 13:16Speaker 3: What fun is it, really, if you're doing all these, like,
- 13:20Speaker 3: fun things, but then your partner in crime, right, your
- 13:23Speaker 3: partner for life, is so stressed out and can't even
- 13:26Speaker 3: enjoy it?
- 13:27Speaker 1: Right. Yeah, that's true.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I mean, maybe you just get a couple less of
- 13:29Speaker 2: those vacations you were talking about in the email.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:33Speaker 1: We had Randy, and this is kind of interesting. He said.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Speaking from experience, so it sounds like Randy's kind of
- 13:39Speaker 2: been through this. He said, this is a fast way
- 13:43Speaker 2: to deteriorate the mental health of a man. Feeling like
- 13:47Speaker 2: they must work in a place that continually drains them
- 13:50Speaker 2: to the point they hate it and feel trapped. Money
- 13:53Speaker 2: isn't always worth the stress and eventual health issues that
- 13:57Speaker 2: stress causes. So this could be something to factor in
- 14:01Speaker 2: as well for Shailene.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Jalene, I feel like of all the responses, this man
- 14:07Speaker 3: been through it.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 3: And he's telling you what could happen to your husband.
- 14:10Speaker 2: This could be something that makes him when he's 60, 65, 70,
- 14:13Speaker 2: that makes him unbearable to be around because of all
- 14:19Speaker 2: these stress factors. And maybe, you know, later on in
- 14:22Speaker 2: life when he has a job that he has a
- 14:25Speaker 2: lot more fun at or it's less stressful.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Maybe when he's 60, 70.
- 14:29Speaker 2: 80 and you're really not worried about any money, you'll
- 14:31Speaker 2: be a lot more worried about the mental health of
- 14:32Speaker 2: the guy. So maybe it is the wrong thing to
- 14:35Speaker 2: ask and you just buckle up and be ready to go.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Well, Melissa is not very forgiving. She said, do you
- 14:40Speaker 3: have a job? If not, sounds like that is a
- 14:42Speaker 3: great way to help support his change. It also seems
- 14:46Speaker 3: like you need to evaluate what's more important to you,
- 14:49Speaker 3: your husband or money.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Going right after it, yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I think Shailene, I would like to, she says she
- 14:56Speaker 3: loves her husband. She does not want him to be unhappy.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I think just this seems to stem more out of
- 15:02Speaker 3: fear than anything.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Yeah, 1,000%. Fear of change.
- 15:05Speaker 3: And I feel like that is perfectly normal. But also, girl,
- 15:09Speaker 3: if he ain't happy, you're not going to be happy.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Me yeah 701-280-1987 chime on in here this morning with
- 15:15Speaker 2: us or uh get on facebook like a lot of
- 15:18Speaker 2: people have already in the comments they're always so fun
- 15:20Speaker 2: to read later on in the day and i have
- 15:22Speaker 2: a feeling this will be another one where i get
- 15:24Speaker 2: the popcorn ready when i'm at home this afternoon big 98.7 Now,
- 15:32Speaker 2: do you remember Princess Diana's revenge dress? Angie definitely does.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, yes, I remember. And I was like
- 15:40Speaker 3: an itty bitty bitty child, but I remember.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it was this black off-the-shoulder dress she wore the
- 15:47Speaker 2: same night Prince Charles admitted on TV he'd cheated on her.
- 15:52Speaker 2: This was back in 94. I think obviously why it's
- 15:55Speaker 2: called the revenge dress. Well, this is headed to auction.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Some people are saying it's expected to sell for up
- 16:03Speaker 2: to $ 300, 000 in December. This dress is going to tour London,
- 16:08Speaker 2: tour Hong Kong and Geneva. Talk about getting the last
- 16:12Speaker 2: word in a dress because she looks incredible.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Yeah, everybody keeps saying keep Kim Kardashian away from this dress.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I was going to say they thought $ 300, 000. Well, Kim
- 16:22Speaker 2: will just drop $ 10 million.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Yeah, and wear it to a Met Gala.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And outbid everyone, which is kind of a fun question.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Is there an iconic piece of clothing that, let's say
- 16:33Speaker 2: money was no object, that you would purchase if you could? 701-280-1987.
- 16:37Speaker 1: What would you grab, Angie? In Pretty Woman....
- 16:45Speaker 3: Vivian wears this red dress to the opera. I'm obsessed
- 16:50Speaker 3: with that dress. I think about it all the time.
- 16:53Speaker 3: It lives rent-free. Like, I want to wear that dress. Now,
- 16:57Speaker 3: could I fit into it? Probably not. But a girl
- 17:00Speaker 3: can dream. That dress is iconic. And so that's the
- 17:04Speaker 3: thing that I would want.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Julia said any of Katniss's interview dresses from the Hunger
- 17:10Speaker 2: Games franchise, which is awesome. And she did hashtag girl
- 17:13Speaker 2: on fire. That's actually really good.
- 17:15Speaker 3: No, that's a really good answer because all of those
- 17:17Speaker 3: outfits are fantastic. Well, not to be corny, but they
- 17:20Speaker 3: are so fire. Right.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And I was thinking about this.
- 17:24Speaker 2: It's there's not necessarily like clothing per se that would
- 17:27Speaker 2: be awesome to have.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I guess for me, it'd be like a jersey maybe.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Oh, like that someone wore. Yeah.
- 17:33Speaker 2: In a game, that'd be kind of cool to own.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I guess if it had to be an article of clothing.
- 17:40Speaker 2: It'd be pretty sweet to have this striped shirt that
- 17:43Speaker 2: Kurt Cobain is wearing in the Smells Like Teen Spirit
- 17:46Speaker 2: music video.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 17:48Speaker 2: It's like this green and blue striped kind of shirt,
- 17:51Speaker 2: which is really funny because when you break it down,
- 17:53Speaker 2: it's simply just a T-shirt.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Well, yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It's not like anything incredible.
- 17:57Speaker 3: But it was worn by him.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Yeah, he had it on in that music video. That'd
- 18:00Speaker 2: be pretty fun to have. We do have Ian on
- 18:03Speaker 2: the phone. Ian, what would you like to have?
- 18:06Speaker 3: Oh, man, I would love to own James Bond's classic.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Tuxedo for one of the movies. It would be awesome
- 18:11Speaker 1: to have an outfit that makes you feel instantly more
- 18:14Speaker 1: confident and sophisticated. Plus, I'm just a huge fan of
- 18:17Speaker 1: the whole franchise. Yeah, I think Bond talks would be
- 18:20Speaker 1: an answer for a lot of.
- 18:21Speaker 3: OK, no, I would take this one further. If I
- 18:25Speaker 3: had Mikey own an iconic article, whatever it would be.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Daniel Craig's swimming trunks from Casino Royale. Okay.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Now, it is, I'm sure, awesome to be famous or
- 18:43Speaker 2: well-known for being considered a goat.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Tom Brady. Eddie Van Halen, one of the best guitar
- 18:49Speaker 1: players of all time.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Literally, my boyfriend Mikey has the Van Halen logo tattooed
- 18:54Speaker 3: on him. He's a huge fan.
- 18:56Speaker 1: There you go.
- 18:57Speaker 2: What are some things that would not be great to
- 19:00Speaker 2: be famous for?
- 19:01Speaker 1: 701-280-1987. The whole goal of this, by the way.
- 19:05Speaker 2: We'd like to keep these a little bit lighthearted and
- 19:07Speaker 2: silly as opposed to anything that's super serious that you
- 19:11Speaker 2: wouldn't want to be famous for.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I don't want to be famous for murder. Like we
- 19:15Speaker 3: get that.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Right. What do you think would be horrible to be
- 19:19Speaker 1: famous for Angie?
- 19:21Speaker 3: I think I always just think of really awful bodily things.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Like I, it would be embarrassing to projectile throw up
- 19:30Speaker 3: somewhere in a public space. Um, My boyfriend, Mikey, his ex-wife,
- 19:34Speaker 3: not the mother of his children, by the way.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I don't like how you have to set this up.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Well, because I'm not going to talk crap about the
- 19:41Speaker 3: mother of my boyfriend's children. That's horrible. Now this ex-wife,
- 19:46Speaker 3: she is awful. So I'm going to put her on blast.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I would never say her name. name, Wendy. And she
- 19:53Speaker 3: is famous in our circles for having a blowout that
- 19:58Speaker 3: you would expect from your daughter Kaylee in her diaper.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 20:03Speaker 3: She had that go on while she was driving.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:08Speaker 1: That would not be great.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Yeah. And when she like got home, she didn't even
- 20:13Speaker 3: clean it up. She had Mikey clean it. So you
- 20:16Speaker 3: know what?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Your freeway pooper?
- 20:20Speaker 3: I don't know what to call her.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Was anyone in the car?
- 20:23Speaker 3: No.
- 20:24Speaker 1: That's a secret you take to the grave.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Right?
- 20:26Speaker 1: That's a secret you don't share. You know what?
- 20:28Speaker 3: That's when you go, guess what, honey? I bought us
- 20:31Speaker 3: a new car. Right.
- 20:33Speaker 2: I think this would be not great to be famous for.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Do you remember this?
- 20:39Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'll give that to you one more time.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Now. I would not want to be famous for that.
- 20:46Speaker 2: I do believe Haley did go on and, like, I
- 20:49Speaker 2: think has made some money in a podcast and selling stuff.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I don't know what she's doing now. Well, yeah, but
- 20:53Speaker 1: no one takes her seriously. She's a joke.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It was quite literally the 15 minutes of fame that
- 20:59Speaker 2: they joke about.
- 21:00Speaker 1: That's what she had.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Do you know what else I don't think would be
- 21:03Speaker 2: super fun to be famous for? Do you remember a
- 21:10Speaker 2: man who was famous specifically for being told on national
- 21:15Speaker 2: TV that he could not sing?
- 21:17Speaker 1: She bangs, she bangs.
- 21:20Speaker 3: William Hung?
- 21:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if I would love that. I'm
- 21:23Speaker 2: sure he's gone on to have a wonderful life, and
- 21:26Speaker 2: who am I to say anything?
- 21:27Speaker 3: What it is, it's that these people have turned what
- 21:30Speaker 3: made them infamous into like some money.
- 21:33Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 21:34Speaker 3: And so I feel like as long as you can
- 21:36Speaker 3: spin it, you're okay. But yeah, I guess that wouldn't
- 21:39Speaker 3: be great.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I don't want to be known as the guy who
- 21:41Speaker 2: was so bad on American Idol that it turned good.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I have one more for you, and you probably don't
- 21:49Speaker 2: even know this guy's name, but at one point, everyone
- 21:52Speaker 2: in the world did. There is a Nirvana album called Nevermind.
- 21:58Speaker 2: The baby on the cover of that album, his name
- 22:01Speaker 2: is Spencer Eldon, and he was fully naked, submerged in
- 22:06Speaker 2: water on the cover of this album.
- 22:08Speaker 3: I remember. Everybody remembers this cover.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Now, generally, like.
- 22:12Speaker 2: it's just a cute little baby like it's probably not
- 22:14Speaker 2: the worst thing in the world right but that's easy
- 22:16Speaker 2: for me to say this guy forever was like oh
- 22:20Speaker 2: yeah you're that naked baby yeah that's not great on
- 22:23Speaker 2: the cover of an album of an album people are
- 22:26Speaker 2: worried about their kids being on facebook sometimes this dude's
- 22:29Speaker 2: on the cover of one of the greatest selling albums
- 22:31Speaker 2: of all time.
- 22:32Speaker 3: And you know what i think that he sued for
- 22:34Speaker 3: this and lost the and lost the lawsuit or whatever
- 22:38Speaker 3: yeah Yeah, but I think it's because before he did
- 22:41Speaker 3: the lawsuit, he tried to like parlay it into money
- 22:45Speaker 3: first for himself and then flip the script.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Oh, gosh.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that whole thing is a mess. 701-280-1987. What is
- 22:53Speaker 2: there something that you would rather not be famous for?
- 22:56Speaker 1: Let us know this morning. Big 98.7. I need some good.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Starting off the day with something good, this is Gabe's
- 23:07Speaker 1: Good News on Big 98.7.
- 23:10Speaker 2: For 23 years, when St. Joseph's School kids in Moorhead
- 23:15Speaker 2: walk in on the first day back, there's one thing
- 23:18Speaker 2: waiting for them, and it's beautiful chalk art on the
- 23:21Speaker 2: sidewalk from Jen Silverman, the school's lunch lady. She turned
- 23:25Speaker 2: it into a tradition the students look forward to every
- 23:28Speaker 2: single year. A little burst of color and a welcome
- 23:31Speaker 2: before the first bell even rings. And it's just proof
- 23:34Speaker 2: the people who make the school feel like home aren't
- 23:37Speaker 2: always necessarily in the classroom. There are tons of people
- 23:40Speaker 2: at your kid's school who go into them having a
- 23:43Speaker 2: good school year and a good day. Obviously, teachers get
- 23:46Speaker 2: a lot of love, rightfully so. They're with them for
- 23:49Speaker 2: large amounts of time. But there are also other people
- 23:52Speaker 2: there who... who are trying to make school a fun
- 23:54Speaker 2: and safe place for them to be.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Sometimes, you know what?
- 23:58Speaker 2: These people are serving lunch or they're drawing chalk masterpieces
- 24:02Speaker 2: on the sidewalk. So a round of applause today for
- 24:04Speaker 2: Jen Silverman.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, very, very cool. What a fun thing to look
- 24:08Speaker 1: forward to on your first day back.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I can't wait to see this. What did she draw
- 24:11Speaker 1: this year?
- 24:12Speaker 3: What a nice tradition.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yeah. The world is full of nice people. If you
- 24:15Speaker 2: can't find one, you got to be one. And don't forget,
- 24:17Speaker 2: broken crayons, they still color.
