- 0:02Speaker 1: We talked a lot about the mac and Cheese fest.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We got to a little bit about McDonald's and some
- 0:07Speaker 1: of the new stuff they have, the refreshers that they
- 0:09Speaker 1: got going on Mom's Day? What are you doing for
- 0:12Speaker 1: Mom's Day? Some of you moms just want to be
- 0:14Speaker 1: left alone, but is that really the best thing when
- 0:16Speaker 1: you're a mom. We also talked to D. L. Hugley,
- 0:19Speaker 1: who's gonna be in town this Friday and Saturday night
- 0:21Speaker 1: over at the Well Comedy Club. So let's check it out,
- 0:24Speaker 1: all right, So we got out, I need your guys'
- 0:27Speaker 1: help explaining something to one of my friends who is
- 0:30Speaker 1: made is just out of touch, So I'm gonna I'm
- 0:33Speaker 1: gonna be nice about it. Out of touch? Okay, So
- 0:36Speaker 1: Saturday or this weekend, this weekend, I was off, you know,
- 0:40Speaker 1: playing golf for a couple of days with a bunch
- 0:42Speaker 1: of friends and Saturday night running to them sitting in
- 0:47Speaker 1: the parking lot over at the coast and pistbum sitting
- 0:49Speaker 1: in a parking lot at a restaurant. We're all hanging
- 0:52Speaker 1: out talking, waiting for you know, the rest, waiting for
- 0:54Speaker 1: our table, and obviously everybody from Bakersfield goes to Okay,
- 1:00Speaker 1: it's nothing new, this is where we go, all right.
- 1:04Speaker 1: So I've run into a girl who knows me, and
- 1:10Speaker 1: to say the lead, she's really just a bunch of
- 1:12Speaker 1: she's with a bunch of her friends having a good time. Okay,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I don't know how many were there were, but there
- 1:16Speaker 1: was a bunch of them having a good time. Guys
- 1:19Speaker 1: were hitting on her, you know, she was. They were
- 1:21Speaker 1: all little lit up, so they looked like they were
- 1:24Speaker 1: they were ready to, you know, go go do the dude,
- 1:29Speaker 1: so to speak. They looked like they were ready to
- 1:32Speaker 1: just you know. And my buddy, who is actually sixty
- 1:38Speaker 1: years old, he has never been in the dating scene
- 1:43Speaker 1: as an adult. He met his wife in high school,
- 1:47Speaker 1: maybe sixteen out of high school, got married, been together
- 1:52Speaker 1: ever since. So this guy has never been in the
- 1:56Speaker 1: dating scene as an adult. Hell, he's hardly ever been
- 2:00Speaker 1: the day, had never been in the dating set at all. Really,
- 2:03Speaker 1: but has the audacity when I say, man, I walk over,
- 2:07Speaker 1: I said, man, those girls are ready to go. Man,
- 2:09Speaker 1: they're lit up there. The guys are hitting on them.
- 2:11Speaker 1: They're hitting on the guys. They're ready to go. He
- 2:13Speaker 1: has the audacity to say that women don't act like that.
- 2:16Speaker 1: He said, Oh, no, you're You're totally wrong. You're totally wrong.
- 2:19Speaker 1: They're not. I said, what are you what are you
- 2:22Speaker 1: talking about? He goes, no, they're totally wrong. I said,
- 2:24Speaker 1: these women are in their thirties. Do you think that
- 2:27Speaker 1: they're not? Do you what do you think they're doing
- 2:30Speaker 1: right now? And he goes, oh, no, women are so classy.
- 2:33Speaker 1: They don't. They would never act like that. They would
- 2:35Speaker 1: never just meet somebody at a restaurant or a bar
- 2:37Speaker 1: or a guy and go right straight to their bedroom.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And I'm like, are you really that stupid? But he's
- 2:44Speaker 1: not really that stupid. He's just never been in the
- 2:49Speaker 1: dating scene as an adult. Thirty year old women hanging
- 2:55Speaker 1: out on a weekend just looking to have a good
- 2:58Speaker 1: time for the weekend are gonna hook up with thirty
- 3:02Speaker 1: year old guys doing the same thing or you know
- 3:05Speaker 1: whatever age range. This idiot had no clue what we
- 3:11Speaker 1: were sitting there watching, and it was all playing out
- 3:14Speaker 1: in front of us, you know, And I'm trying to
- 3:17Speaker 1: explain to him, and he would not He just kept saying, nope,
- 3:20Speaker 1: you're wrong, Nope, you're wrong, And I just thought, man,
- 3:24Speaker 1: you can't be that stupid. But for a guy I
- 3:26Speaker 1: guess who's never been in a date, in the dating
- 3:29Speaker 1: scene ever in his life, I guess he can be
- 3:32Speaker 1: that stupid right already? Four two five, four or seven
- 3:35Speaker 1: to seven. So I was telling me about a friend
- 3:37Speaker 1: of mine. I was having an argument with him Saturday. Now,
- 3:39Speaker 1: Remember this guy was telling you, this guy's never been
- 3:42Speaker 1: in the dating scene. He met his wife in high school.
- 3:44Speaker 1: They've been together ever since. Never been in the dating scene, whatsoever. Okay, Well,
- 3:49Speaker 1: we ran into some girls from Bakersfield who were just
- 3:52Speaker 1: out having a good time, drinking, partying. Look like they
- 3:55Speaker 1: were having a good hitting on guys. Guys were hitting
- 3:57Speaker 1: on them, No big deal. Just what single women do
- 4:01Speaker 1: you know in their thirties having fun. This guy could
- 4:05Speaker 1: not my buddy could not believe that they were doing that,
- 4:10Speaker 1: because I was telling them, go watch, these girls are over,
- 4:12Speaker 1: they're good, they're gonna go back to this guy's hotel rooms.
- 4:14Speaker 1: They're about to hook up right now. And she's like, no,
- 4:17Speaker 1: girls are far too classy for that. They don't do that.
- 4:19Speaker 1: What are you talking about. You're completely wrong, I said, no,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I'm not. I said, guess what, single women and men
- 4:26Speaker 1: go out and have one night stands. They have a
- 4:28Speaker 1: good time. You have never been in the dating scene,
- 4:31Speaker 1: but you have the audacity to sit here and argue
- 4:33Speaker 1: with me that I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Already fourteen five, four or seven to seven. Hey, gome
- 4:39Speaker 1: on to Rome, Hey, you and your buddy were talking
- 4:42Speaker 1: about one night stands. Did he not believe that women
- 4:47Speaker 1: go out and have one night stands? What did he
- 4:49Speaker 1: not understand? Rome? He didn't understand that. He didn't believe
- 4:55Speaker 1: that these women were just out there hitting on men,
- 4:58Speaker 1: getting drunk, having a good time. I'm partying or whatever,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and we're gonna go hook up with these guys. He said, No,
- 5:05Speaker 1: women don't do that. That's what he believed. Women don't
- 5:08Speaker 1: do that. And this is coming from a guy who
- 5:11Speaker 1: has never been in the dating scene ever. I think
- 5:15Speaker 1: he met his wife at like fifteen or something like that,
- 5:19Speaker 1: so he's never been in the dating scene already, fourteen four,
- 5:25Speaker 1: seven to seven is talking about one night stands. And
- 5:29Speaker 1: a friend of mine, who's, by the way, just a preference.
- 5:32Speaker 1: He's never been in the dating scene, never been in
- 5:34Speaker 1: the dating scene, met his chicken high school, like fourteen,
- 5:38Speaker 1: fifteen six something like that. Been together ever since. Never
- 5:40Speaker 1: been in the dating scene. But we were watching I
- 5:44Speaker 1: was watching some people, you know, watching some guys look
- 5:47Speaker 1: up on some girls. The girls were drunk, they were
- 5:50Speaker 1: they were, you know, ready to go. So just you know,
- 5:54Speaker 1: if you know what I'm talking about. They were down,
- 5:56Speaker 1: and my buddy was just like, no, I'm telling them
- 5:58Speaker 1: what's happened. He's just like, Nah, girls aren't like that.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Women are like that. They don't do that. They're not
- 6:03Speaker 1: They're far classier than to meet some guys at a bar,
- 6:06Speaker 1: at a restaurant or whatever. You know, we're in Pismo,
- 6:09Speaker 1: so you know how that goes. And they were gonna
- 6:12Speaker 1: hook up, and we knew what was happening, and I
- 6:14Speaker 1: knew what was happening because I was watching it all
- 6:15Speaker 1: play out. But this guy was saying, that doesn't happen. Now,
- 6:20Speaker 1: this is the arguments I have with my friends of
- 6:24Speaker 1: arguing with a guy who has no idea what it's
- 6:26Speaker 1: like to be a single person, a single man or
- 6:30Speaker 1: woman in the dating scene. So one, he's never been
- 6:33Speaker 1: in the dating scene in his life. Two he's never
- 6:37Speaker 1: been a woman, so he has no idea how women
- 6:39Speaker 1: feel and what women think about when they go out
- 6:41Speaker 1: and get together and you know, want to have a
- 6:44Speaker 1: good time out of town for the weekend. Already four
- 6:48Speaker 1: two five, four, seven to seven eight. Rom Hey, it
- 6:51Speaker 1: wasn't me you're talking about, are you. I was in
- 6:54Speaker 1: Pismo with my boys over the weekend. We were having
- 6:56Speaker 1: a good time. We hooked up with some girls. What
- 6:59Speaker 1: do you no, it wasn't If it was you, you
- 7:03Speaker 1: would have known it was me because she knew it
- 7:04Speaker 1: was me. So all right, Hey, Rome, why is your
- 7:08Speaker 1: boy so naive? Here in Bakersfield? Even married women have
- 7:11Speaker 1: one night stands. Yeah, we found that out on the cruise.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Huh yeah, already four two five, four, seven to seven.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Hey Romeo, Oh, I think all I think more women
- 7:22Speaker 1: nowadays are just looking for a one night stand than
- 7:25Speaker 1: they are looking for a relationship. So maybe your buddy
- 7:29Speaker 1: might be right in the past, but not today. No,
- 7:34Speaker 1: he's always been wrong. You can't. You can't listen to
- 7:37Speaker 1: a guy who has never dated, literally never dated. What
- 7:43Speaker 1: does he know what's happening in the single life? What
- 7:46Speaker 1: does he know what's happening he's never dated? Already four
- 7:49Speaker 1: two five, four seven to seven. So we ran into
- 7:52Speaker 1: some we're at h I was over at the coast
- 7:56Speaker 1: over the weekend and ran into some people from Bakersfield.
- 8:01Speaker 1: And these women were just a bunch of women having
- 8:04Speaker 1: a good time. Probably I think they're in the thirties whatever,
- 8:07Speaker 1: single women having fun met single guys. I'm standing in
- 8:11Speaker 1: a parking lot, waiting for the table, waiting for a table,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and I'm just watching them all play out, just watching
- 8:16Speaker 1: what's going on. I'm trying to explain to my buddy,
- 8:18Speaker 1: this is what's happening in front of us right now,
- 8:20Speaker 1: this is the show we're watching. And he told me
- 8:22Speaker 1: I was one hundred percent wrong. Women are way too classy.
- 8:26Speaker 1: There's no way they would be hooking up right now,
- 8:29Speaker 1: No way. But you're not that right, aren'ty? Pour t
- 8:34Speaker 1: five four or seven seven? A Romeo? Didn't you talk
- 8:37Speaker 1: about on a cruise women cheating? Yeah? That was It
- 8:44Speaker 1: was one night it was women on a cruise. I
- 8:47Speaker 1: was on. Oh my cruise that we did whenever we
- 8:50Speaker 1: did it back mate, that they were married women out
- 8:53Speaker 1: there looking for one night stance, and they were actually
- 8:56Speaker 1: having competitions, competing for one night's stance. Who can get
- 8:59Speaker 1: the most right, So if married women are doing it,
- 9:03Speaker 1: what makes you think single women aren't doing it? But,
- 9:09Speaker 1: like I said, my buddy's a stubborn idiot. So this,
- 9:12Speaker 1: this is, this is what I'm dealing with. Luckily I
- 9:15Speaker 1: was sober dealing with this and not drunk already four
- 9:18Speaker 1: two five four seven to seven. But for all of
- 9:21Speaker 1: you out there, women have one night stands and there's
- 9:23Speaker 1: nothing wrong with it there. They can just go out
- 9:26Speaker 1: and have a good time, just like you guys. One
- 9:28Speaker 1: night stands, right, it happens, you know, our weekends, weekends.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I do want to say this though, So what let
- 9:34Speaker 1: me tell you what happened to me and a friend of mine. Now,
- 9:36Speaker 1: a friend of mine has been with his wife since
- 9:37Speaker 1: he was they were in high school, which means and
- 9:41Speaker 1: he's there, he's in he's gonna be sixty. Yeah, so
- 9:45Speaker 1: he has never been in the dating scene ever in
- 9:47Speaker 1: his life, never been in the dating scene, but yet
- 9:51Speaker 1: had the audacity. We're watching some girls, uh, with some
- 9:54Speaker 1: drunk girls in in Fismo hook up with some guys
- 9:57Speaker 1: who were they were all drinking, having a good time,
- 9:58Speaker 1: just partying, just and they were ready to hook up.
- 10:02Speaker 1: You could tell and I'm telling him. He's like, no, no,
- 10:05Speaker 1: women don't do that. There's no way women do that.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And so I had to have this argument for about
- 10:12Speaker 1: thirty minutes of why he's wrong, which he still thinks
- 10:15Speaker 1: he's right, by the way, but it, uh, it's real.
- 10:20Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with it. Single women, single women go
- 10:22Speaker 1: out and try to hook up with single guys. It
- 10:24Speaker 1: is what it is, all right, that's the world we
- 10:26Speaker 1: live in. But one of the other weird things I
- 10:29Speaker 1: thought when I was watching this all play out in
- 10:32Speaker 1: front of me was these guys were just getting their
- 10:35Speaker 1: phone numbers. Like if you run into a girl who's
- 10:40Speaker 1: who's really feeling you and ready to hook up with
- 10:42Speaker 1: you and ready to go, why would you just get
- 10:45Speaker 1: her phone number? And what call her later? I mean, like,
- 10:49Speaker 1: what do you think is gonna happen between now and later.
- 10:54Speaker 1: There's so many things that could happen. You could call,
- 10:55Speaker 1: she could be passed out, you could call she could
- 10:57Speaker 1: be some other guy could have hooked up with her.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I mean, why wouldn't you take the opportunity at the
- 11:03Speaker 1: moment it's happening. Why would you wait? That is a
- 11:07Speaker 1: that would be my question. Why would you wait? Why
- 11:11Speaker 1: wouldn't you just you know whether I think it was
- 11:14Speaker 1: around six thirty seven o'clock when I saw this all
- 11:16Speaker 1: play out, and these guys are, oh, let me get
- 11:18Speaker 1: your number, I'll call you later, and I'm like, bro, later,
- 11:21Speaker 1: she might meet a better guy later, she might pass
- 11:23Speaker 1: that later. There's one hundred things that could happen later,
- 11:27Speaker 1: and you're gonna be going, Wow, man, I missed out.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I just I didn't understand that part of what I saw.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Why didn't you just go hook up right then?
- 11:35Speaker 2: All right?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Eight four two or seven seven? Hey, rome let's see
- 11:40Speaker 1: dang you you should have recorded those married women competing
- 11:44Speaker 1: to cheat and send the receipts to the men on
- 11:47Speaker 1: the low. Oh you're talking about on the cruise. Yeah.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Women aren't classy, at least not Bakersfield women. Women Romeo
- 11:55Speaker 1: were fighting again. Cheating is not okay, whether you're a
- 11:59Speaker 1: man or a woman. Okay, why are you and I
- 12:03Speaker 1: are fighting? Have I ever said cheating was okay? I
- 12:06Speaker 1: don't think I ever have. I think I said I
- 12:08Speaker 1: understand why people cheat. I never said it was right, though.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I think it's the worst thing you can do to
- 12:14Speaker 1: somebody in a relationship. Uh, But one of the worst things.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But uh yeah, I mean people cheat, you know. I
- 12:27Speaker 1: know couples in Bakersfield that cheat on each other all
- 12:29Speaker 1: the time. They know about it, they stay married. They
- 12:32Speaker 1: know they're cheating on each other, and they just they
- 12:34Speaker 1: don't they I don't know, that's just what they do,
- 12:37Speaker 1: you know. So yeah, I don't know. Now, we got
- 12:39Speaker 1: the Mac and Cheese Fest tickets. What are we doing here?
- 12:43Speaker 1: We got Mac and Cheese Fest on Saturday two to
- 12:47Speaker 1: six over the current County Fairgrounds. Lots of cheesy mac
- 12:50Speaker 1: and cheesies. I got beer, wine, spirits, seltzers, things like that.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Got the music, everything's including in the ticket. You guys

- 13:18Speaker 1: Did you call him? Betweenty nine?
- 13:19Speaker 4: Can cut your.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Right? What you nay mane man? Steve?
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Steve, you got tickets to the MC and
- 13:29Speaker 1: Cheese Fest on Saturday over the kind of backgrounds. Okay,
- 13:32Speaker 1: I sound bring a couple extra dollars because we're gonna
- 13:35Speaker 1: do a dunk tank, I guess for the Ronald McDonald house.
- 13:37Speaker 1: All right, all right, No, I don't know, Steve. It
- 13:40Speaker 1: don't sound like you could throw a ball, but it
- 13:42Speaker 1: was all right anyway. Yeah, we are going to do
- 13:50Speaker 1: a few things in the Mac and Cheese. Uh, We're
- 13:52Speaker 1: gonna do a dunk tank for uh, for the Ronald
- 13:55Speaker 1: McDonalds house. All the proceeds are gonna go to the
- 13:57Speaker 1: Ronald McDonald house. So you guys bring a couple extra

- 14:04Speaker 1: So you guys want to come down and try to
- 14:06Speaker 1: dunk me. That'll be cool. We'll have a good time
- 14:08Speaker 1: with that Mac and Cheese fest. Make sure you guys
- 14:12Speaker 1: get your tickets. If you don't win him Bakersfield Macancheesefest

- 14:23Speaker 4: If somebody already got him, oh man, thank you?
- 14:26Speaker 1: All right, I mean now, you gotta go buy him, right,
- 14:30Speaker 1: Maybe we're giving some more away tomorrow. Let me think,
- 14:33Speaker 1: let me see here, Uh do we have more that?
- 14:37Speaker 1: I think the guys got him. Hold on, let me see.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Let me check real quick and see how many more
- 14:42Speaker 1: we're giving away. I think I can figure that out

- 14:50Speaker 1: the music you got, the what do you got? You

- 15:04Speaker 1: seltzers going on two to six. Let me see. Oh yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 1: the guy's got some more to give away today, and
- 15:13Speaker 1: I guess we'll give away some more tomorrow as well.
- 15:15Speaker 1: So you got time. You guys got time to win
- 15:17Speaker 1: some if you want. But I don't know. Not everybody
- 15:20Speaker 1: can win, so you might have to buy some if
- 15:21Speaker 1: you want to go big orsold. Macacheesefest dot com. And
- 15:25Speaker 1: this man is an iconic legend of comedy television. Even
- 15:30Speaker 1: do a radio show, don't you d L. Hugley? Everybody?
- 15:35Speaker 1: Oh man, I just can't believe I'm talking to you.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I mean, I I just in the nineties. I was
- 15:42Speaker 1: in college dal and the music, the entertainment, the the movies,
- 15:47Speaker 1: the television shows, the comedy was just on a level
- 15:50Speaker 1: that I don't think people today will never understand.
- 15:53Speaker 5: I actually having that conversation with somebody, one of the
- 15:57Speaker 5: Dana Jackson's producers.
- 15:58Speaker 3: We were talking about the nineties than what it meant
- 16:00Speaker 3: in comedy, and I think you're right. I think they
- 16:03Speaker 3: won't know.
- 16:04Speaker 1: They'll never know. It's just such. But all though, and
- 16:06Speaker 1: I don't want to get political, but all the craziness
- 16:08Speaker 1: that's going on. Back in the nineties, everybody had a
- 16:10Speaker 1: great TV show. It was fun, the music was fun.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Everybody was just enjoying life.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Now, of course they would all be indicted for that
- 16:17Speaker 3: stuff later on. Yeah, it's on that phone would end
- 16:26Speaker 3: up in course, but that's not the point.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, everybody in court, it is in court
- 16:33Speaker 4: right now for the fun they had. And so I
- 16:35Speaker 4: think they were.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Right here wrong. Yeah, you're right about that.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Now. I just was fun and that's also admissible as evidence.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Yeah, now you're going to be at the Well, the
- 16:50Speaker 1: Well Comedy Club two shows a Friday, the eighth Saturday,
- 16:53Speaker 1: and the night you got two shows going on, right,
- 16:56Speaker 1: I do, Okay, so I'm excited. You know.
- 16:59Speaker 5: The first I ever bought was in Karrent County, a
- 17:01Speaker 5: little city called Rosamond.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, no Roseman.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Yeah really yeah, So the first ever bought and I
- 17:08Speaker 3: kept that house, I guess about twenty years ago.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Man.
- 17:10Speaker 3: But so I used to be out there all the time.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Me and George blow Players payed a bunch of days
- 17:14Speaker 3: in Brokers build and you know, yeah, I've been in.
- 17:17Speaker 3: I haven't been about eight years. When I'm excited to
- 17:19Speaker 3: get there.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Yeah. I just talked to George yesterday as a matter
- 17:22Speaker 1: of fact, because he's gonna be here. Yeah, he's gonna
- 17:24Speaker 1: be here. I do want to say, that's the comic
- 17:28Speaker 1: you you know ninety two, right, if I remember correctly,
- 17:31Speaker 1: ninety two you hosted comic that was just right. That
- 17:34Speaker 1: was so innovative in the in the time of comedy.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It was just so new, so fresh, so funny. Mike,
- 17:42Speaker 1: oh you guys.
- 17:43Speaker 3: And you know what they never did, so they never
- 17:45Speaker 3: pay for wardrobe a writer, so I would have to
- 17:48Speaker 3: do the whole thing. And I think we did a
- 17:50Speaker 3: I did two seasons of it.
- 17:51Speaker 5: But it was it was really kind of like the
- 17:54Speaker 5: internet is when the Internet first started, it was kind
- 17:57Speaker 5: of over rubles.
- 17:58Speaker 3: It was just wide open and they and so it
- 18:00Speaker 3: was kind of like that.
- 18:01Speaker 4: But it was a you know, it was it forced
- 18:05Speaker 4: you to have to, you.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Know, write the work to interact with people. So I had,
- 18:10Speaker 3: you know, it became the kind of groundwork for the
- 18:13Speaker 3: way I would do comedy for the rest of my career.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And you have you're an iconic comedian, I mean culturally iconic.
- 18:19Speaker 1: You're just an icon of comedy.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I mean, and I just the.
- 18:25Speaker 1: The when you guys did the Kings of Comedy. I
- 18:28Speaker 1: mean that was something that had never been nobody ever
- 18:31Speaker 1: seen that before. I mean, it was just go ahead.
- 18:36Speaker 5: I never think about that until like, like you do
- 18:38Speaker 5: an interview or you'll you'll see something or they'll be.
- 18:42Speaker 3: But it was.
- 18:42Speaker 5: It was It's one of those things like those winning
- 18:45Speaker 5: videos you don't see them till times are real good.
- 18:53Speaker 1: But but but it was.
- 18:54Speaker 3: It was really you know, when I look back at it,
- 18:57Speaker 3: I'm really proud of think we did and the way
- 18:59Speaker 3: we were together and how innovative it was. I really improved.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Do you do you ever sit there and think though,
- 19:05Speaker 1: like how it affected Like I was I was just
- 19:07Speaker 1: in it. I just got into college. Me and my
- 19:09Speaker 1: friends all wes. All we did was go to clubs,
- 19:11Speaker 1: listen to music, and watch TV. Do you do you
- 19:15Speaker 1: do you ever think about the fact that how many
- 19:17Speaker 1: people you back then were just so mesmarized by.
- 19:22Speaker 5: What was going on with you, I mean with the
- 19:26Speaker 5: I think we were all there was an age of
- 19:27Speaker 5: innosi and again you know they were because it was
- 19:31Speaker 5: we were influenced by.
- 19:32Speaker 3: All the stuff that happened before us. Yeah, but but
- 19:34Speaker 3: had all of these.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Tools and like it's just like everybody everything, Like I said,
- 19:38Speaker 5: if there was a wide open and you could kind
- 19:40Speaker 5: of be and do whatever you were, and the music
- 19:42Speaker 5: sounded different because they were influence by all those things.
- 19:45Speaker 3: But it had the template.
- 19:46Speaker 5: So it had the template, but it had all these
- 19:48Speaker 5: these people who stopped differently and who acted differently. And
- 19:51Speaker 5: I remember Tommy changed that because before that, Before that,
- 19:55Speaker 5: it was one guy at a time. It was Jenny
- 19:57Speaker 5: Murphy's or the Richard pryor or the uh you know,
- 20:00Speaker 5: you know, the uh you know Bill Cosey. After that,
- 20:04Speaker 5: it was after the nineties, it was thousands of Black Company.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Uh, Like somebody dropped fertilizer on the stage. But but
- 20:13Speaker 3: and all of it, like I was this I forgot
- 20:16Speaker 3: I did to say.
- 20:17Speaker 5: For Netflix Tuesday, and it was just great to see
- 20:20Speaker 5: people I hadn't seen in.
- 20:21Speaker 3: A long time, like I'm going.
- 20:23Speaker 5: To see Chapelle tonight, and it's just you get to
- 20:27Speaker 5: see all these people who came up with you, and
- 20:29Speaker 5: you realize that we all kind of drank from the
- 20:32Speaker 5: same drup and broke the same bread and whatever accomplished
- 20:35Speaker 5: something I think really great.
- 20:37Speaker 1: You know, you've uh the career that you had is
- 20:40Speaker 1: just so impressive. And the fact that you are this
- 20:45Speaker 1: comedy I mean, there's this comedy rush. I don't know
- 20:47Speaker 1: you depending on who you talk to, Austin's doing comedy now.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Comedy is back in a way that it's never been before.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And I would age you that that's not even true
- 20:56Speaker 1: that you guys, just the comedy today is nowhere near
- 20:59Speaker 1: as good as the comedy decades ago.
- 21:03Speaker 5: And everybody said that about basketball and football, you know
- 21:06Speaker 5: it's you know, because that went well slaves of the moment.
- 21:09Speaker 5: But I will say this, there's never been a time
- 21:12Speaker 5: that spawned so many other types of things like like
- 21:17Speaker 5: that that that time was was demonstrative of everything that
- 21:22Speaker 5: went on, like the music, politics are all this, It
- 21:25Speaker 5: was all well you know Captain in the in the
- 21:28Speaker 5: fifteen years fan and people are still trying to replicate
- 21:32Speaker 5: that now.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Like I saw Kevin Kevin Hart Netflix thing. That's kind
- 21:37Speaker 3: of you you know what I mean?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly yeah, so yeah, and so.
- 21:45Speaker 5: It's just uh, you know, I remember I did this
- 21:48Speaker 5: thing on CNN while I was the first comic digit
- 21:51Speaker 5: Now Comic Belt is.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Doing that out.
- 21:53Speaker 4: It's just so so you get to you.
- 21:56Speaker 3: I've been around for a long time. I still love
- 21:58Speaker 3: do comedy, still do it every week.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Bill.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I'm excited about it, and I'm very excited for the
- 22:03Speaker 3: young for the people that are on halfter that they're
- 22:06Speaker 3: doing their things too. That's cool to me too.
- 22:08Speaker 1: All right, everybody, dal He is going to be in
- 22:10Speaker 1: town hugely. Sorry, didn't mean to mess up your name.

- 22:33Speaker 1: very quickly, so make sure you guys do that. Let
- 22:36Speaker 1: me ask you, did you ever sit back and look
- 22:39Speaker 1: like you said the Kevin Hard that's that's comic view?
- 22:44Speaker 1: Do you ever sit back and go? Man? We were
- 22:46Speaker 1: doing that so long ago. If we only had netflick.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I mean, if we only had a social media back then.
- 22:53Speaker 5: How much you know, if we didn have social media
- 22:56Speaker 5: back then, a whole lot to be in jail cloud
- 23:04Speaker 5: And you know, man, as soon as we got it,
- 23:07Speaker 5: people start going to jail.
- 23:08Speaker 3: So no, I'm glad.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Hell no a ring tammer at my at my house, right,
- 23:17Speaker 4: I got a ring camera?
- 23:19Speaker 3: Who coming in with something?
- 23:20Speaker 1: Man?
- 23:20Speaker 4: My mother would have killed me. Man, come on, no, No,
- 23:23Speaker 4: I think I think technology.
- 23:25Speaker 5: I'm glad, right, I'm glad he came along right when
- 23:28Speaker 5: I slowed down.
- 23:34Speaker 1: So what do you so?
- 23:35Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 23:36Speaker 1: How do you feel about comedy though? Do you enjoy
- 23:39Speaker 1: what you're seeing out there?
- 23:40Speaker 5: Because well, you know what, it's one thing for sure,
- 23:43Speaker 5: it's very expansive.
- 23:45Speaker 3: It's something for everybody. Yeah, you know, not like in comedy.
- 23:49Speaker 3: It's not like in music or not like an ice
- 23:50Speaker 3: cream you might not not like all music and not
- 23:53Speaker 3: like all ice tam but it's something. It's a playground
- 23:55Speaker 3: there for you. And so that's that's the thing I
- 23:57Speaker 3: love about it. It's you know, it's it's.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Being the people on the face of air and I'm
- 24:03Speaker 5: seeing coming from all over the world doing all kinds
- 24:05Speaker 5: of things.
- 24:05Speaker 4: And to know that, you know, I was somewhere in
- 24:08Speaker 4: this kid, you know, he was the kid from Korea, Korea, and.
- 24:12Speaker 5: He walked up and knew my whole, like my whole
- 24:15Speaker 5: going on, my kings of comedy sit So that's just
- 24:18Speaker 5: just dope, man.
- 24:18Speaker 3: So it's something for everybody out here.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Well, you just you were a cultural icon at the time.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Nobody can dismiss the four of you guys were just oh,
- 24:29Speaker 1: I'm getting tongue TACs. I don't even know how to
- 24:30Speaker 1: explain the feelings. I'm starting to feel what I felt
- 24:33Speaker 1: when I first saw it back then with my friends.
- 24:35Speaker 4: And just how young you mean young with hair and.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I mean there are just a few things and I
- 24:47Speaker 1: think we could say in this world, in our history
- 24:50Speaker 1: that affected a nation or affected people in a way
- 24:55Speaker 1: in such a positive way, and you were literally a
- 24:59Speaker 1: part of one of those things.
- 25:00Speaker 3: I mean, I take great pleasure in that. Man.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I think it makes me very and to have a
- 25:05Speaker 1: conversation with you is crazy for me. I never thought
- 25:07Speaker 1: i'd ever get and I've been doing a radio show
- 25:09Speaker 1: for thirty years. I never there are like three people
- 25:12Speaker 1: I want to talk to, and you're one of them.
- 25:13Speaker 1: The other two I don't think I'll ever get to
- 25:15Speaker 1: talk to.
- 25:16Speaker 5: So well, you know what, Hell, this happens, so that
- 25:18Speaker 5: might what happened to. So come on out, man, I'm
- 25:20Speaker 5: gonna be at the what y'all come on.
- 25:21Speaker 3: And you come have a drink? Will be man, we'll
- 25:23Speaker 3: talk that you're talking a little while.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Absolutely, I appreciate the time, do y'all. Thank you for
- 25:26Speaker 1: taking the time.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Looking forward to it.

- 25:50Speaker 1: playing together so far. But McDonald's is always innovative. They
- 25:54Speaker 1: are always coming up with something new. They still got
- 25:58Speaker 1: the best coffee in town, though they have change that
- 26:00Speaker 1: yet in thirty years or however long it's been Riches here.
- 26:04Speaker 1: He's one of the big big what you what do
- 26:06Speaker 1: you do rich for McDonald's. Are you you run them all?
- 26:09Speaker 1: You over see them all? Or is she the big

- 26:15Speaker 6: Definitely the big dog and love and manages our Stockdale, California.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Get a little closer to the microphone, you guys, just yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 1: get a little closer. Yeah, Okay.
- 26:23Speaker 6: I work for the Ron Johns organization. He has six
- 26:26Speaker 6: stores local here in the city.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, And.
- 26:28Speaker 6: I'm the director of operations for him.
- 26:31Speaker 1: And you are the general manager, so you make all
- 26:33Speaker 1: the decisions that goes on there. Huh. Well, thank you
- 26:41Speaker 1: for letting us come out to your store tomorrow, to
- 26:43Speaker 1: your location walk to do some contesting, to have some fun.
- 26:48Speaker 1: McDonald's has been around forever. If you guys don't know
- 26:50Speaker 1: what a McDonald's is, then you don't need to listen.
- 26:52Speaker 1: You should. Everybody should know what a McDonald's is. Uh,
- 26:55Speaker 1: so you got some new refreshers. I see, is this
- 26:57Speaker 1: what's going on your new refresher menu? Yes, it is.
- 27:00Speaker 1: We have pull a microphone close to you, guys, we
- 27:03Speaker 1: have that's okay.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Yeah, once again, you know, with these new beverages that
- 27:07Speaker 6: were launching officially, the launch date was yesterday on May six,
- 27:11Speaker 6: So we're kind of late to the game here with
- 27:14Speaker 6: the refreshers and the crafted sodas, but we're here now
- 27:18Speaker 6: and we're definitely looking to make all mark. So yesterday
- 27:21Speaker 6: we rolled out six new drinks for McDonald's, three crafted
- 27:26Speaker 6: sodas and three refreshers. The refreshers are strawberry watermelon uh huh.
- 27:32Speaker 6: We also have a mango pineapple that has boba in it,
- 27:37Speaker 6: and then we also have a BlackBerry passion fruit that
- 27:42Speaker 6: has freeze dried dragonfruit pieces in it. In addition to that,
- 27:45Speaker 6: as I mentioned, we have three crafted sodas. We have
- 27:48Speaker 6: a Sprite Berry Blast, a High Sea Orange Dream, and
- 27:54Speaker 6: a Dirty Doctor Pepper.
- 27:56Speaker 1: This is delicious and in the Bakersfield heat when you're
- 28:00Speaker 1: trying to cool off and have something that it's uh,
- 28:04Speaker 1: so refreshing, much better than soda, much better than not
- 28:07Speaker 1: so these people love soda. But it's just gonna really
- 28:10Speaker 1: it's gonna help with that bigger swell. Now, which one
- 28:12Speaker 1: was this?
- 28:13Speaker 6: This is that strawberry watermelon refresher, And that's the that's
- 28:17Speaker 6: the popular one right now. It's early times, it's only
- 28:20Speaker 6: been a couple of days, but it's definitely a popular
- 28:23Speaker 6: one with the consumer, that's for sure.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna try them all right now. Which one is
- 28:26Speaker 1: this one?
- 28:27Speaker 6: The one you have in your hand and that you're
- 28:28Speaker 6: sampling right now, is the BlackBerry passion fruit Refresher, and
- 28:34Speaker 6: it is wonderful.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I love blackberries. This is so good. That's your favorite.
- 28:42Speaker 1: They are so delicious.
- 28:44Speaker 5: You know.
- 28:44Speaker 1: People are gonna add vodka to these right what they
- 28:52Speaker 1: do when they want when they get home, when they
- 28:54Speaker 1: get home.
- 28:56Speaker 6: And the one that you're trying right now is the
- 28:59Speaker 6: mango pineapple. Oh wow, the strawberry boat Oh wow.
- 29:05Speaker 1: These drinks are very not like I thought they were
- 29:08Speaker 1: going to be bad. To be honest with you made
- 29:10Speaker 1: what made me think McDonald's was gonna come out with
- 29:12Speaker 1: a bad refresher?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Huh?
- 29:14Speaker 6: I'm sure there was a lot of testa that went
- 29:16Speaker 6: into these drinks and these flavors, and h I think
- 29:19Speaker 6: they've got three winners.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I really don't you do. So, now what is the
- 29:23Speaker 1: you gotta what is it dirty soda?
- 29:24Speaker 3: Is that? What is called?
- 29:25Speaker 6: What is the dirty soda? Is kind of like the
- 29:30Speaker 6: name that's being used.
- 29:32Speaker 1: But we called them crafted so crafted sodas, okay, okay.
- 29:35Speaker 6: Mentioned we have three of them, and they're all they're
- 29:39Speaker 6: all kind of made the same way. The the uh
- 29:44Speaker 6: dirty doctor pepper. We we pour a doctor pepper for you,
- 29:48Speaker 6: then we put vanilla syrup in there, okay, and then
- 29:51Speaker 6: we add cold foam on the top. Oh yeah, so,
- 29:54Speaker 6: and then the other two we have a heicy orange
- 29:56Speaker 6: it's kind of made the same way. We pour see
- 30:00Speaker 6: orange drink for you. Then we add vanilla syrup once
- 30:04Speaker 6: again put the cold foam on the top. And then
- 30:08Speaker 6: we have the the sprite berry blast and then were
- 30:14Speaker 6: in that particular one, we put blue raspberry syrup in it,
- 30:18Speaker 6: oh okay, and add cold foam on the top. And
- 30:21Speaker 6: of the crafted sodas, that seems to me the popular
- 30:24Speaker 6: one right now too. But they're all good in their
- 30:26Speaker 6: own unique way.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Now these are all available right now.
- 30:28Speaker 2: They are they.
- 30:30Speaker 6: Like I said, yesterday was the official rollout day, but
- 30:33Speaker 6: we've been we saw we started a soft cell last week.
- 30:36Speaker 6: So I think today is about the eighth and ninth
- 30:38Speaker 6: day the restaurants.
- 30:40Speaker 1: So for those of you that don't know, you can
- 30:41Speaker 1: try them tomorrow morning. They will all be available. We're
- 30:44Speaker 1: gonna be out of the McDonald's stockdown in California at
- 30:46Speaker 1: seven thirty. We're doing a Mother's Day contest for you
- 30:48Speaker 1: guys that win, Chris Brown and USh your tickets and
- 30:51Speaker 1: we will see you guys out there, and we'll drink
- 30:53Speaker 1: all your sodas.
- 30:54Speaker 6: Yes, and we will have samples. Oh okay, give times
- 30:57Speaker 6: throughout the course of the morning.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Oh perfect, perfect. We appreciate that. I still like the coffee.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I still think they got the best coffee.
- 31:06Speaker 6: That's okay. We're more than happy to give them a
- 31:08Speaker 6: coffee away.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Well, thank you guys for stopping by. We really appreciate.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Let us come to your location and we'll see you

- 31:22Speaker 1: to seven. Rome, I'm gonna have to bring my bottle
- 31:24Speaker 1: of rum tomorrow. Try those new drinks. Yeah, the new
- 31:28Speaker 1: McDonalds drinks are absolutely amazing. They're really refreshing. My gosh,
- 31:34Speaker 1: I'd never been a big guy like an was it
- 31:37Speaker 1: aqua fresca or anything like. I've never been a big
- 31:39Speaker 1: one of those type of guys that these refreshers. But man,
- 31:42Speaker 1: and they got the sodas all righty four, two five, four,
- 31:46Speaker 1: seven to seven? Hey u F and cheese fan. I
- 31:48Speaker 1: like that, doctor Pepper, that one. That one's my favorite
- 31:52Speaker 1: because I'm dirty. What did he say they called them?
- 31:56Speaker 3: Not?
- 31:56Speaker 1: They didn't call him dirty sodas they called him?
- 31:59Speaker 3: Uh?
- 32:00Speaker 1: What did you say they called them? I can't remember
- 32:03Speaker 1: whatever just said he called those soda they're not Uh,
- 32:06Speaker 1: I know they're really popular. What did you call them?
- 32:12Speaker 4: Uh?
- 32:12Speaker 1: There was a word started with the C. Anybody remember, Uh?
- 32:16Speaker 4: Uh?
- 32:18Speaker 1: I can't remember. Crafted. You called them crafted sodas. That's
- 32:26Speaker 1: what it was, all right before two pou four or
- 32:29Speaker 1: seven seven? Hey Roam asked them if they're hiring, My

- 33:20Speaker 1: cups on a table and I think you can go
- 33:23Speaker 1: to our Instagram. I tried it the other day here
- 33:26Speaker 1: in the studio and you got to take a cup.
- 33:29Speaker 1: It's uh, you got two chank claves, right, got two feet,
- 33:32Speaker 1: got two chank clas, You get two shots. Whoever knocks
- 33:35Speaker 1: down the most moves on to the next round and
- 33:38Speaker 1: until we get the last person standing, gonna get Chris
- 33:41Speaker 1: Brown and Usher tickets? What did you send me here already?
- 33:44Speaker 1: Four to five, four, seven to seven, Romeo? Are you
- 33:48Speaker 1: going to be giving away any other tickets besides the
- 33:50Speaker 1: Chris Brown and Usher? I just know those are gonna
- 33:54Speaker 1: be hard to get. Well, why would they be, first
- 33:56Speaker 1: of all? Why would they be hard to get? Yeah? Oh,
- 34:01Speaker 1: it is for moms. Though only for moms, by the way,
- 34:03Speaker 1: I just it's it's a Mother's Day contest, so it's
- 34:06Speaker 1: only for moms to come down. Okay, we're only letting
- 34:10Speaker 1: moms play. How do you approve it? And you got
- 34:13Speaker 1: to be a mom of a human being, a human bean,
- 34:16Speaker 1: not a dog, mom, not a cat, mom, not a
- 34:20Speaker 1: squirrel that lives out in your tree, mom, mom of
- 34:23Speaker 1: a human Okay, And other tickets. I think we got
- 34:27Speaker 1: some Biggers Field Mac and cheese tickets will be given
- 34:29Speaker 1: out as well out there, because that's going on Saturday.
- 34:34Speaker 1: But yeah, I think that's other than that. I'm not sure.
- 34:37Speaker 1: They don't give me all the information. I just kind
- 34:39Speaker 1: of find out when I get there. Also, yeah, hey.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Man, what's going on? Hey?
- 34:45Speaker 2: I just want to say, good morning, man, I'm glad
- 34:47Speaker 2: that we're here to be again.
- 34:48Speaker 3: A the other day.
- 34:49Speaker 5: I'm at work Western my all, are you high right now?
- 34:56Speaker 2: No, Man, I'm feeling good. I'm at work.
- 34:58Speaker 3: I'm happy.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Hey, I'm happy to be your life. You feel me?
- 35:01Speaker 1: Where do you work at? I'm a welder, brother, Oh great,
- 35:05Speaker 1: that's a good job.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Amen. I always hear you.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I always hear you on the radio.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Like I don't bump, no music or nothing. I hear
- 35:11Speaker 2: on the radio and you if nobody's going to tell you, man,
- 35:14Speaker 2: you're a good ass person.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Bro, I've been listening. I'm already thirty.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'm thirty one years old, bro, and I've been hearing
- 35:20Speaker 2: you since I was about fourteen. Man, And you're a
- 35:23Speaker 2: solid dude. Do you stick to your job because you
- 35:25Speaker 2: know it means something to you?
- 35:27Speaker 3: Man?
- 35:27Speaker 2: Well, yeah, just like I stick to my job. Man,
- 35:30Speaker 2: I bust my ass, my bad. I know, I don't
- 35:34Speaker 2: got to cuss, you know, but I do my thing, man,
- 35:36Speaker 2: And I go to work every day and do what
- 35:39Speaker 2: I got to do and pay the bills. But when
- 35:42Speaker 2: I go to and when I go to work, man,
- 35:43Speaker 2: I always think about you, Romeo, and you a cool
- 35:45Speaker 2: ass Man bro.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I appreciate the phone call. Thank you, Yes, sir man,
- 35:50Speaker 1: I have a good day.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Man.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I mean, I see there you go. I've been telling
- 35:55Speaker 1: you guys, I'm the best for twenty years. I've been
- 35:57Speaker 1: telling you how great I was. See now now I
- 36:00Speaker 1: got proof. I got receipts. All right. The Chocolate Challenge tomorrow,
- 36:03Speaker 1: give me a chance to win Chris Brown and Usher
- 36:05Speaker 1: tickets Sofi Stadium. You got knocked down as many seventies
- 36:10Speaker 1: plastic cups, kind of like we do with bowling, and
- 36:12Speaker 1: you got to throw a chocolate knock down as many
- 36:14Speaker 1: as you can. Whoever knocks down the most wins. Hey
- 36:18Speaker 1: we and cheese fan. How about step moms? I don't
- 36:22Speaker 1: think they count. I don't think they count to be
- 36:25Speaker 1: in the contest step moms. I'll have to go to
- 36:30Speaker 1: the rules officials. I don't know if stepmoms count or not.
- 36:34Speaker 1: That is a very good question. When the rules official
- 36:40Speaker 1: gets here, I'll check it out. You know, I know
- 36:42Speaker 1: there's a there's probably a list of rules somewhere which
- 36:45Speaker 1: I haven't seen yet. But there you go. Alrighty four
- 36:48Speaker 1: two pout four seven to seven? What did you send
- 36:52Speaker 1: me here? At Rome? My girl cheated on me. Should
- 36:56Speaker 1: I cheat on her back then leave her? Or should
- 36:59Speaker 1: I just leave her? Just leave her? Why would you uh?
- 37:05Speaker 1: Why would you.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Uh?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Why would you uh? Why would you cheat on her?
- 37:10Speaker 1: Then lever? That's just being petty. And then if you
- 37:12Speaker 1: cheat on her, lever then lever her. Then you're part
- 37:16Speaker 1: of the problem. You're the bad guy. When the story
- 37:18Speaker 1: gets spread around about what happened. You're both cheaters. Take
- 37:21Speaker 1: the high road, always, always take the high roads, so
- 37:24Speaker 1: you look better than somebody else, all right, at least
- 37:28Speaker 1: when it comes to cheating already four two five you
- 37:31Speaker 1: don't want you'll be you'll be considered a cheater, by
- 37:33Speaker 1: the way, getting even with somebody will consider you what
- 37:36Speaker 1: you know. I can't get into this right now. I
- 37:38Speaker 1: got other stuff to talk about. Because we got Mother's
- 37:40Speaker 1: Day the chunkle of challenge. I still got other things
- 37:43Speaker 1: to do. You know what I'm gonna do every day,
- 37:48Speaker 1: not every day, but there's things I just don't have
- 37:51Speaker 1: a chance to get to. I must start writing them down.
- 37:54Speaker 1: And then when I get off the radio at ten,
- 37:58Speaker 1: i'll maybe I'll record it another hour, half hour, half
- 38:00Speaker 1: hour hour of the show of things that I just
- 38:03Speaker 1: didn't get to that. Every day that I do this show,
- 38:06Speaker 1: there's probably two or three threings, two or three things
- 38:08Speaker 1: that I just don't get a chance to get to,
- 38:11Speaker 1: and so I write them down. Maybe I'll start talking
- 38:14Speaker 1: about them after the show, and you guys can go
- 38:15Speaker 1: check out the podcast Romeo and Friends anywhere you get podcasts.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I think I even got a channel on YouTube, so yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 1: you can check.
- 38:22Speaker 3: All that out.
- 38:23Speaker 1: All right, all right, well this is this is great.
- 38:27Speaker 1: I got this yesterday. Guy was asking me his opinion.
- 38:30Speaker 1: He says, hey, Romeo, I want you to check this
- 38:32Speaker 1: out and tell me what you think. Now, my wife,
- 38:35Speaker 1: you know, you guys know Mother's Day's coming up on Sunday, right,
- 38:37Speaker 1: he said, Now, my wife told me for Mother's Day
- 38:41Speaker 1: that she wanted to hang out. She wanted to spend
- 38:44Speaker 1: a day with her two sisters, just going to going
- 38:50Speaker 1: to brunch, going to a spa day and hanging out.
- 38:53Speaker 1: And I thought that she didn't want to. Well, that's
- 38:58Speaker 1: Mother's Day. She didn't want to for some reason. Dad's
- 39:01Speaker 1: Dad's on Father's Day. Dads want the whole family together
- 39:04Speaker 1: on Mother's Day. Mothers want to just you know, not
- 39:06Speaker 1: be with their kids. Which is the strangest thing ever.
- 39:09Speaker 1: I don't know how they sit there and justify that,
- 39:11Speaker 1: oh that Mother's days my day to get a break
- 39:13Speaker 1: from everybody when you shouldn't. I would think you would
- 39:17Speaker 1: want to embrace me to mother, right. So anyway, he says,
- 39:22Speaker 1: I have, so this guy. So the guy goes on
- 39:24Speaker 1: to say, I have an eight year old son and
- 39:26Speaker 1: a ten year old daughter. So what I decided to
- 39:28Speaker 1: do was I called my brother in law the third
- 39:33Speaker 1: sisters get married, and I said, hey, let's take the
- 39:36Speaker 1: kids to Disneyland on Sunday since since our wives don't
- 39:41Speaker 1: want to spend time with us for Mother's Day. He said,
- 39:48Speaker 1: he said, that sounded like a great idea of Rome.
- 39:50Speaker 1: So when we told our wives. I told my wife,
- 39:54Speaker 1: and she's pissed now that I'm doing it. She thinks
- 39:57Speaker 1: I'm doing it out of spite because I don't want
- 40:00Speaker 1: because she said she didn't want to be with us
- 40:02Speaker 1: on Mother's Day. Well, are you doing it out of spite?
- 40:06Speaker 1: I mean, based on what you just told me, it
- 40:07Speaker 1: doesn't sound like you're doing it out of spite. It
- 40:09Speaker 1: just sounds like you found something to do on Mother's
- 40:11Speaker 1: Day because your wife the mother and your children didn't
- 40:15Speaker 1: want to be with you guys. So no, I think,
- 40:19Speaker 1: I think she, who are you married to? Man? What
- 40:22Speaker 1: kind of woman are you married to? Seriously? Already? Four two, five, four,
- 40:26Speaker 1: seven and seven, I see absolutely no problem with that.
- 40:28Speaker 1: If you and your brother in law you want to
- 40:30Speaker 1: take to get the kids to Disneyland, because your wives,
- 40:34Speaker 1: the mothers of your children, want to be alone, let
- 40:39Speaker 1: them be alone. That's what they get.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I'm a mom.
- 40:43Speaker 4: I'm just saying I would like that alone time my
- 40:46Speaker 4: mother's there.
- 40:46Speaker 2: As much as I will not get it, it would
- 40:49Speaker 2: be nice.
- 40:49Speaker 1: I'm not saying I don't want to see them, but
- 40:53Speaker 1: seven I'm with them. They know I'm their mom. I
- 40:56Speaker 1: know they're my babies.
- 41:00Speaker 2: But I don't get celebraty like that anyway, So I
- 41:03Speaker 2: aren't even tripping.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a water fly from my cubs and
- 41:06Speaker 1: barbecue and we'll help one. That's awesome, all right? What
- 41:13Speaker 1: did what's going on?
- 41:16Speaker 4: Bro?
- 41:17Speaker 1: Moms?
- 41:17Speaker 5: Are the boats do like we do everything?
- 41:21Speaker 6: And I love that men help and if you got
- 41:23Speaker 6: a good man, good for you. But when the kids
- 41:26Speaker 6: got a plumb that you usually go through the mom.
- 41:29Speaker 2: When I got asked this here what I wanted for
- 41:31Speaker 2: Mother's Dake. I wanted a hotel room and a nambion.
- 41:37Speaker 1: I want to be alone, and.
- 41:42Speaker 4: It's when my kids are sake. It's part to sleep
- 41:45Speaker 4: because every little noise you're like, oh my god, hey.
- 41:48Speaker 1: You know, and it's like, I'm not okay, Allen.
- 41:55Speaker 6: You're with your kids and your family, but hold on,
- 41:58Speaker 6: hold on.
- 41:59Speaker 1: But you can't get mad if your child and their
- 42:02Speaker 1: father want to go do something fun.
- 42:05Speaker 6: No, okay, honey, he's equipping mad because she's getting exactly
- 42:10Speaker 6: what she wants.
- 42:11Speaker 5: Do you need the strollers?
- 42:13Speaker 4: Do you want me to pack your bags?
- 42:14Speaker 3: Do you need some lunch to me? Oh?
- 42:16Speaker 5: Get you ready?
- 42:19Speaker 4: Get you ready?
- 42:20Speaker 1: That's hilarious. That's great. All right, that's great. Thanks for calling.
- 42:26Speaker 1: You want to take the kids somewhere on Mother's Day?
- 42:29Speaker 1: I will pack your lunch so you can leave Mother's Day? Right.
- 42:34Speaker 1: I guess this guy texted me, well, he did text me,
- 42:36Speaker 1: and he said he's got an eight year old and
- 42:38Speaker 1: a ten year old, And I guess his wife said
- 42:40Speaker 1: that she wanted to go spend the day with her
- 42:43Speaker 1: two sisters, you know, go to brunch, go to spa,
- 42:46Speaker 1: just get away from the kids. So he called this
- 42:48Speaker 1: brother in law. I guess they have a couple of
- 42:51Speaker 1: kids as well as brother in law his wife's sister's husband,
- 42:54Speaker 1: and they decided they wanted to take the kids to Disneyland.
- 42:57Speaker 1: And now the wives are pissed about it. Well, you're
- 42:59Speaker 1: getting what you want. Why are you pissed about it?
- 43:01Speaker 2: Mary?
- 43:02Speaker 1: How what's going on?
- 43:06Speaker 6: Man?
- 43:06Speaker 3: Then moms that say they don't want to be with
- 43:08Speaker 3: their kids or anything, they they with them, you know,
- 43:10Speaker 3: all year round all that. Yes, I mean that's not cool.
- 43:14Speaker 3: That's what makes that's why you've earned that Mother's Day
- 43:16Speaker 3: and you don't want to be away from everybody. Don't
- 43:19Speaker 3: make you think. Well, I mean that makes me think
- 43:21Speaker 3: that all year around, you're just waiting for that day
- 43:23Speaker 3: till you can get rid of everybody.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Well that's the well, that's how it usually plays out
- 43:28Speaker 1: mom's field.
- 43:28Speaker 3: I don't know why, but but you're right.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Roman's dad were like, we want our our gift is
- 43:33Speaker 2: having our whole family together, all right?
- 43:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's just there's this when it comes
- 43:41Speaker 1: to moms. And she's absolutely right. The last lady that
- 43:45Speaker 1: called and said, she's right, you do everything moms. When
- 43:47Speaker 1: when your kids are sick, you can't sleep when you're
- 43:50Speaker 1: I mean, the kids go to mom for everything for
- 43:52Speaker 1: the most part. I mean, it's just, uh, it's just
- 43:56Speaker 1: is what it is. But so these moms they feel entitled, right,
- 44:03Speaker 1: I mean this guy saying, she told him I want
- 44:07Speaker 1: to be out without my family, so he decided to
- 44:10Speaker 1: do something for his family, with his kids and with
- 44:12Speaker 1: his you know, his nieces and nephews and his brother
- 44:15Speaker 1: in law. You can't be mad about it. If you're
- 44:19Speaker 1: getting exactly what you want. You can't get mad because
- 44:22Speaker 1: the rest of your family's going to have fun. What
- 44:24Speaker 1: he wanted to do just sit and do nothing and
- 44:27Speaker 1: wait for you to come home. And what I mean,
- 44:30Speaker 1: how selfish is that? Already? Fourteen five, four or seven seven?
- 44:35Speaker 1: But I did want to say this you, I mean,
- 44:39Speaker 1: I believe this. The entitlement that moms have about Mother's
- 44:46Speaker 1: Day is I guess you can make an argument that
- 44:50Speaker 1: it's justifiable, okay, because of how much do they do
- 44:54Speaker 1: for their children, But the reality is it's just selfish.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Mother's Day and Father's Day should be the only two
- 45:04Speaker 1: days that you guarantee to spend with your kids, because
- 45:08Speaker 1: that's what they're for you know there to you know,
- 45:15Speaker 1: praise you for being a mom or dad. So those
- 45:18Speaker 1: are the only two days in the year that you
- 45:21Speaker 1: should be with your kids. You're telling me that throughout
- 45:25Speaker 1: the year you can't find a day. Sunday or what
- 45:30Speaker 1: is Mother's Day is the only day that you think
- 45:34Speaker 1: you feel entitled to go do whatever you want without
- 45:37Speaker 1: your kids. You couldn't have did it last week or
- 45:39Speaker 1: the week before, or in January or in November or
- 45:42Speaker 1: pick a day. You're telling me there's not another day
- 45:48Speaker 1: that you can't go do something, Go take an ambium
- 45:51Speaker 1: and crash out to the padre. Right, you're telling me
- 45:54Speaker 1: that you can only do it on Mother's Day. It's
- 45:58Speaker 1: the entitlement that you try to justify Mother's Day as
- 46:02Speaker 1: a day where it's just all about you. And it's
- 46:06Speaker 1: not all about you. If you didn't have kids, you
- 46:11Speaker 1: wouldn't be a mother. So how can it be all
- 46:15Speaker 1: about you? Pick any other day in the year for
- 46:19Speaker 1: it to be all about you. I don't care which
- 46:20Speaker 1: day you pick. Okay, find a day and make it
- 46:24Speaker 1: your day. But do you see how ironic it is
- 46:30Speaker 1: the irony in the fact that Mother's Day is the
- 46:32Speaker 1: day that you want to get away from the people
- 46:36Speaker 1: that gave you that day or helped you create that
- 46:41Speaker 1: day for you. Alrighty four two five four or seven
- 46:45Speaker 1: to seven.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Hey, good morning Romeo.
- 46:48Speaker 6: Hey, so I wanted to actually comment.
- 46:51Speaker 5: On the subject right now.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I totally agree with you.
- 46:55Speaker 2: You know, we're mothers. My Mother's Day is like, you.
- 46:58Speaker 4: Know what, do y'all tell me go do something for
- 47:00Speaker 4: yourself as to no, it's Mother's Day.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I want to be with my kids, have my kids.
- 47:04Speaker 4: Let's me do something together and so any other day
- 47:08Speaker 4: if you want to, you know, take me somewhere to
- 47:10Speaker 4: have a spa day and whatever.
- 47:12Speaker 6: Hey, I'm all for it, you know, not saying we
- 47:14Speaker 6: don't need that time alone every now and then.
- 47:16Speaker 5: But you know what Mother's Day is, what it is,
- 47:19Speaker 5: Mother's Day.
- 47:20Speaker 4: You know, it's not a single ladies day.
- 47:22Speaker 3: So he's getting exactly what she deserves. You know.
- 47:25Speaker 5: I get prout to that dad.
- 47:27Speaker 2: That decided to take his kids to you know, Disneyland, because.
- 47:30Speaker 4: If it wasn't for them, we're not fathers or mother's
- 47:33Speaker 4: Just like you said, well, yeah, and you know what I.
- 47:35Speaker 1: Mean, I will even I'll even take it a step further.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I would bet all of these mothers, and I'll call
- 47:40Speaker 1: them selfish for leaving their kids on Mother's Day. I
- 47:43Speaker 1: would bet they have if you really looked at their schedule,
- 47:46Speaker 1: I bet they take plenty of days off from being
- 47:49Speaker 1: a mom, claiming.
- 47:50Speaker 6: Oh, I'm pretty sure.
- 47:52Speaker 5: Sure.
- 47:52Speaker 4: You know it's for them to say that they don't
- 47:55Speaker 4: have time any other time.
- 47:56Speaker 2: That's a lie.
- 47:57Speaker 4: But it's like you said, it's entitlement. They think that
- 47:59Speaker 4: because it's Mother's Day, and sometimes we're giving that option.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Like what do you want to do?
- 48:02Speaker 2: You know, it's like, okay, well then this is what
- 48:04Speaker 2: I'm gonna take a day off. No, like, that's not
- 48:06Speaker 2: for you to do.
- 48:07Speaker 4: You're a mother twenty four to seven.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Colin, I appreciate it. But that's what I'm saying.
- 48:13Speaker 1: It's it's selfish. I mean, any other day of the year,
- 48:17Speaker 1: three hundred and sixty four other days. What there's three
- 48:20Speaker 1: and sixty five days, three hundred and sixty four days
- 48:22Speaker 1: out of the year. You could pick another day to
- 48:25Speaker 1: where you need a break. Okay, that's it's It doesn't
- 48:29Speaker 1: need to be Mother's Day or Father's Day. That was
- 48:31Speaker 1: the day. That's the only day of the year that
- 48:32Speaker 1: you should want to be with your children, with your family,
- 48:36Speaker 1: with your husband, with your wife, with your because that's
- 48:38Speaker 1: that's that's what got you this day. These people are
- 48:42Speaker 1: what got you here. So I just don't I don't
- 48:46Speaker 1: understand it, you know anyway, And I would bet money.
- 48:51Speaker 1: I would bet money that you guys, these moms claiming that,
- 48:55Speaker 1: oh I need a day off and Mother's Days when
- 48:57Speaker 1: I just want nothing. I just want everybody away from me.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I would bet you take plenty of days off throughout
- 49:03Speaker 1: the year. You're just not saying anything right now already
- 49:07Speaker 1: four two seven seven aerom, you know why these mothers
- 49:12Speaker 1: want a day off on Mother's Day and they don't
- 49:15Speaker 1: want to be with their kids or their husband. That's
- 49:17Speaker 1: the day they go out and cheat. No matter what,
- 49:22Speaker 1: it always goes back to cheating. So now all these
- 49:27Speaker 1: moms that don't want to be with their kids are
- 49:30Speaker 1: cheaters now maybe all right, So we were talking about
- 49:35Speaker 1: Mother's Day, right A guy said his wife said that
- 49:39Speaker 1: all she wants to do is go with their sisters,
- 49:41Speaker 1: go out for the day and not be with the family,
- 49:44Speaker 1: And so he decided to call his brother in law,
- 49:46Speaker 1: decided they were gonna take the kids to Disneyland for
- 49:49Speaker 1: the day since well, mom didn't want to. So now
- 49:52Speaker 1: they're pissed. Now they're pissed that they're they're going to
- 49:56Speaker 1: do that, right, But why do you people want to
- 49:59Speaker 1: get Why do you moms to get away from your mom?
- 50:01Speaker 1: I mean, get away from your kids on Mother's Day.
- 50:05Speaker 1: You know, there are mothers out there that don't get
- 50:07Speaker 1: to see their kids very much because they live out
- 50:09Speaker 1: of town, or because they live in other states or
- 50:11Speaker 1: other countries or other whatevers, and you know what they'd
- 50:14Speaker 1: give to see their children on Mother's Day. So I
- 50:18Speaker 1: think it's kind of selfish of you guys. You know,
- 50:21Speaker 1: pick another day, pick Friday, pick tomorrow to not deal
- 50:24Speaker 1: with anything, Pick Saturday to not deal with anything. Why
- 50:27Speaker 1: Mother's Day?
- 50:27Speaker 3: That?
- 50:28Speaker 1: To me, mothers and Father's Day are the two days
- 50:31Speaker 1: that you should spend with your family because you guys
- 50:34Speaker 1: are all the reason, all of you are the reason
- 50:37Speaker 1: you're celebrating that day. Why not do it together? It's
- 50:40Speaker 1: just these women sometimes I don't get you. Hey, Roam,
- 50:43Speaker 1: it's headbutt Raider. I just seen your promo for a
- 50:47Speaker 1: Mother's Day. Boy. Do you not get dressed to go
- 50:52Speaker 1: to work?
- 50:52Speaker 3: Oh?
- 50:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just stopping by the office to grab something.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I was actually working in the backyard and I forgot
- 50:59Speaker 1: something in the office, so I had to Uh, yeah,
- 51:02Speaker 1: I had to grab something, all right, I didn't mean
- 51:05Speaker 1: to do all that. Hey, good morning, Romeo. The dude
- 51:09Speaker 1: is dumb. She's gonna go chill with her her side dude.
- 51:12Speaker 1: She doesn't want him to go to Disneyland because she's
- 51:15Speaker 1: gonna miss out on the pictures for her to post
- 51:18Speaker 1: on social media. If if she doesn't want to spend
- 51:22Speaker 1: the day with her kids, she probably doing a bad
- 51:25Speaker 1: job raising her kids. I get I get along with
- 51:28Speaker 1: my baby mama even though it's my my child weekend,
- 51:31Speaker 1: to be with her with me. I bet she's gonna
- 51:34Speaker 1: want to spend time with her kids. Oh the mom. Yeah,
- 51:38Speaker 1: maybe maybe she's going to be with her side dude.
- 51:41Speaker 1: All right, eight four, two, five four or seven seven, Romeo,
- 51:46Speaker 1: your day is your birthday. I totally agreed. Mother's Day.
- 51:49Speaker 1: All I want to do is be around my annoying
- 51:52Speaker 1: kids and hubby and pamper and pamper me all day.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I love Mother's more. I love Mother's Day more than
- 52:00Speaker 1: my birthday. Shout out to my hubby, his birthday is
- 52:03Speaker 1: this month, May fifteenth, missus Z. I mean that's a
- 52:06Speaker 1: good point that you make a great point. Have them
- 52:10Speaker 1: pamper you all day, not go get away from them.
- 52:13Speaker 1: This is selfish women. Hey, rom let me tell you
- 52:15Speaker 1: what happened with my wife being mad about Mother's Day.
- 52:18Speaker 1: My wife came home and said she wants to go
- 52:21Speaker 1: hang out with her mom group for Mother's Day. They
- 52:23Speaker 1: want to go to brunch and relax. And I said, okay,
- 52:27Speaker 1: that's fine. I called my mom and said and asked her,
- 52:32Speaker 1: is she'd be cool watching the grandkids while I go
- 52:35Speaker 1: play golf with my buddies. My Mom's all about it.
- 52:38Speaker 1: She gets her grandkids, my dad's cleaning up a pool.
- 52:41Speaker 1: They're gonna barbecue, and they're excited. So I'm gonna go
- 52:47Speaker 1: play golf. And my wife is pissed that I'm not
- 52:49Speaker 1: watching the kids. I'm going to play golf. Well, why
- 52:54Speaker 1: she pissed? You know, she just you know these moms,
- 52:56Speaker 1: by the way, You know, these moms that are going out,
- 53:00Speaker 1: they all want to get together with their friends and
- 53:02Speaker 1: go out on Mother's Day. You know, they just want
- 53:03Speaker 1: to go out so they can do some hoish activities.
- 53:07Speaker 1: They want to get drunk. They want to, you know,
- 53:09Speaker 1: they want to you know, be in the scene. They're
- 53:12Speaker 1: not going out because they're trying to get away from
- 53:14Speaker 1: their kids, and it is I mean they are, but
- 53:17Speaker 1: they're just using that as excuse. It's kind of selfish
- 53:20Speaker 1: to be honest with you. So, uh, your wife's pissed
- 53:24Speaker 1: hunh because you got the you get to go play
- 53:26Speaker 1: golf and grandma and grandpa are down to hang out
- 53:30Speaker 1: for Mother's Day with the kids. I don't see a
- 53:33Speaker 1: problem with that. Yeah, see how it's selfish. It is
- 53:40Speaker 1: just selfish if you get pissed off, if you're mad
- 53:44Speaker 1: because you want to go out with your friends on
- 53:47Speaker 1: Mother's Day and leave your family behind, and they decide
- 53:51Speaker 1: to make other plans, How is that on them?
- 53:58Speaker 3: You know?
- 54:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I wouldn't even get you a gift if you
- 54:03Speaker 1: were my mom. You're gonna you're gonna ditch me on
- 54:06Speaker 1: Mother's Day and you expect me to buy you something.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Come on, throw me over the morning every morning morning.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Ninety four point one
