- 0:00Speaker 1: Iran wants to make a deal.
- 0:02Speaker 2: They're not ready, in my opinion. We're going to either
- 0:04Speaker 2: make a deal that's good or we're not going to
- 0:06Speaker 2: make a deal at all. We've already ended their capability
- 0:09Speaker 2: toward getting a nuclear missile. If we would not have
- 0:12Speaker 2: used our B-2 bombers, we would right now have an
- 0:15Speaker 2: Iran with a nuclear weapon, and they would use it.
- 0:18Speaker 2: They would use it very easily. They are considered the
- 0:22Speaker 2: You look anywhere in the world, they're considered the most
- 0:24Speaker 2: evil country right now in the world. And they've been
- 0:26Speaker 2: that for a long time. They've been that for many,
- 0:28Speaker 2: many years.
- 0:29Speaker 3: You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Good Saturday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:35Speaker 4: the 47 Morning Update. And we've got two stories for
- 0:37Speaker 4: you that you may have missed from this week. First up,
- 0:40Speaker 4: Democrats are now saying publicly if you reelect them, they're
- 0:44Speaker 4: going to weaponize the government to impeach Donald Trump for
- 0:48Speaker 4: a third time. What did he do that they believe
- 0:51Speaker 4: he should be impeached for this time? Apparently, you voting
- 0:54Speaker 4: for him. And we break it down. Also, in a
- 0:57Speaker 4: cringeworthy moment, the guy running for the Senate in Texas
- 1:01Speaker 4: on the Democratic Party ticket, James Tallarico, was asked a
- 1:05Speaker 4: very interesting question. Who is your favorite Texas drag queen?
- 1:10Speaker 4: You'll be shocked to hear how fast he answered the
- 1:13Speaker 4: question with a big grin. It's the 47 Morning Update,
- 1:18Speaker 4: and it starts right now.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Democrats are now sending a major warning.
- 1:25Speaker 4: And they're telling you that if you vote for them,
- 1:27Speaker 4: the Democratic Party, and they gain control of the House
- 1:31Speaker 4: in November in the midterm elections... Then they're going to
- 1:34Speaker 4: go after Donald Trump for a third impeachment. On ABC
- 1:39Speaker 4: this week, the leader of the Democratic Party in the House,
- 1:42Speaker 4: Hakeem Jeffries, was asked the question.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And here's what he said in response.
- 1:47Speaker 5: You said hold the crooks accountable.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Does that mean that the House is going to be
- 1:49Speaker 2: pursuing impeachment proceedings on day one?
- 1:52Speaker 5: No, we haven't ruled anything in and we haven't ruled
- 1:55Speaker 5: anything out in terms of impeachment. As it relates to accountability,
- 1:59Speaker 5: what we're going to do, led by Jamie Raskin and
- 2:01Speaker 5: House Committee members, Democrats on the Judiciary Committee, as well
- 2:05Speaker 5: as House Democrats on the Oversight Committee, led by Robert Garcia.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Both of them are doing a tremendous job. We've got
- 2:11Speaker 5: to follow the facts, apply the law, be guided by
- 2:13Speaker 5: the Constitution, and then let the chips fall where they may.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Now, you listen to Hakeem Jeffries there, and it's pretty clear.
- 2:21Speaker 4: We haven't rolled anything out, and we haven't rolled anything
- 2:24Speaker 4: out in terms of impeachment yet. Now, Donald Trump has
- 2:28Speaker 4: already been impeached not once, but twice by the crazy Democrats.
- 2:32Speaker 4: And if you want to remember just how much Democrats
- 2:35Speaker 4: hate Donald Trump, specifically Hakeem Jeffries, I want to take
- 2:40Speaker 4: you back to January the 24th of 2020. This is
- 2:46Speaker 4: Hakeem Jeffries unhinged on the Senate floor. He's the top Democrat,
- 2:52Speaker 4: and he was the impeachment manager. Not only does he
- 2:56Speaker 4: hate Trump, but he compared Trump to a terrorist, and terrorists,
- 3:00Speaker 4: in fact, who attacked America on 9-11.
- 3:04Speaker 1: He wasn't done there.
- 3:06Speaker 4: He also compared Donald Trump during this impeachment trial back
- 3:10Speaker 4: in 2020 to Nazis in Germany and World War II.
- 3:16Speaker 5: America is a great nation. We can handle adversity better
- 3:21Speaker 5: than any other country in the world. Whenever America has
- 3:27Speaker 5: found itself in a tough spot, we always make it
- 3:31Speaker 5: to the other side. We were in a tough spot
- 3:36Speaker 5: during the Civil War when America was at risk of
- 3:40Speaker 5: tearing itself apart, but we made it to the other side.
- 3:46Speaker 5: a tough spot in October of 1929 when the stock
- 3:49Speaker 5: market collapsed, plunging us into the Great Depression, but we
- 3:54Speaker 5: made it to the other side. We were in a
- 3:58Speaker 5: tough spot in December of 1941 when a foreign power struck,
- 4:04Speaker 5: plunging us into a great conflict with the evil empire
- 4:08Speaker 5: of Nazi Germany, but America made it to the other side.
- 4:15Speaker 1: We were in a tough spot.
- 4:16Speaker 5: In the 1960s dealing with the inherent contradictions of Jim Crow.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But we made it.
- 4:27Speaker 5: To the other side. We were in a tough spot
- 4:33Speaker 5: on September 11th when the towers were struck and young
- 4:39Speaker 5: men and women like Jason Crowe was sent to Afghanistan
- 4:46Speaker 5: to fight the terrorists there. So we didn't have to
- 4:50Speaker 5: fight the terrorists here.
- 4:53Speaker 3: And we made it.
- 4:55Speaker 5: To the other side. America is a great country. We
- 5:00Speaker 5: can handle adversity better than any other nation in the world.
- 5:04Speaker 5: But what are we going to do about our character?
- 5:10Speaker 5: President Trump tried to cheat and solicit foreign interference in
- 5:18Speaker 5: an American election, that is an attack.
- 5:23Speaker 1: On our character. That is unhinged. That is the same.
- 5:27Speaker 4: It came Jeffries back in 2020, comparing Trump to terrorists
- 5:32Speaker 4: who attacked America on nine 11. That would be Al
- 5:34Speaker 4: Qaeda and Nazis in war war two.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Now he's not done there.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And this is a bigger plan now by the Democrats
- 5:43Speaker 4: and a warning of what's to come if they went
- 5:45Speaker 4: in the midterms. And I'm going to explain more of
- 5:47Speaker 4: this to you in a moment. But before we get
- 5:49Speaker 4: to that, The stakes right now could not be higher.
- 5:53Speaker 1: We've been talking about it.
- 5:54Speaker 4: We finally have a president and administration fighting hard for
- 5:57Speaker 4: America first. But if we as conservatives lose focus, the
- 6:01Speaker 4: same people that we're talking about right now who created
- 6:04Speaker 4: this insanity, they're ready and waiting to weaponize the government
- 6:08Speaker 4: to go after us and push their progressive agendas.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Now, protecting the momentum takes more than just votes.
- 6:14Speaker 4: It takes everyday Americans just like you and I staying
- 6:17Speaker 4: in that fight for our rights and freedoms. And that's
- 6:20Speaker 4: why I want you to know about Patriot Mobile and
- 6:23Speaker 4: why I switched my cell phone service to Patriot Mobile.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Because they're America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. Now, look,
- 6:32Speaker 4: Patriot Mobile offers you premium priority nationwide service on all
- 6:36Speaker 4: three major networks. That means you get the best coverage possible.
- 6:40Speaker 4: You have unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming.
- 6:43Speaker 1: They've got it all.
- 6:45Speaker 4: And you can switch now easier than ever with technology
- 6:48Speaker 4: literally in minutes. Plus, you keep your same phone or
- 6:51Speaker 4: upgrade to a new one and keep your same number. Now,
- 6:54Speaker 4: this is where the magic happens. Every year, Patriot Mobile
- 6:58Speaker 4: takes the money that you pay in for your service,
- 7:01Speaker 4: and they put it towards causes defending faith, family, and freedom,
- 7:05Speaker 4: contributing millions each year to organizations on the front lines
- 7:09Speaker 4: fighting for our God-given rights. Patriot Mobile isn't just talking
- 7:13Speaker 4: about saving America. They're actually putting it as their business
- 7:16Speaker 4: model every single day. So if you're going to have
- 7:19Speaker 4: a cell phone bill, make sure it's doing great work
- 7:22Speaker 4: every day and every month when you pay the bill.
- 7:25Speaker 4: I'm going to give you a free month of service
- 7:27Speaker 4: just so you can switch. PatriotMobile.com slash Ferguson. That's PatriotMobile.com
- 7:33Speaker 4: slash Ferguson or 972Patriot.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Use the promo code Ferguson. You'll get a free month
- 7:39Speaker 1: of service.
- 7:40Speaker 4: PatriotMobile.com slash Ferguson or 972Patriot and make that switch today.
- 7:45Speaker 1: All right. So let's go back to the plan here.
- 7:48Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Not only is what he just said an extraordinary statement.
- 7:52Speaker 4: But it is clearly a rallying cry that if you
- 7:55Speaker 4: hate Donald Trump, we will impeach him if you'll vote
- 7:58Speaker 4: for us. That is the game plan. Democrats win the House.
- 8:03Speaker 4: He's positioned to become Speaker. And when it comes to
- 8:06Speaker 4: impeaching Trump, Jeffries isn't a newcomer as well to this fight.
- 8:10Speaker 4: He's been right in the middle of it before. I
- 8:13Speaker 4: go back to Donald Trump's first term, the first impeachment.
- 8:16Speaker 4: In 19, Democrats launched the Ukrainian impeachment investigation. After Trump's
- 8:21Speaker 4: phone call with Zelensky and allegations that Trump had, quote,
- 8:25Speaker 4: pressured Ukraine while congressionally approving military assistance was being, they said, withheld. Now, Democrats,
- 8:33Speaker 4: they impeached Trump in December 2019 on two articles. They
- 8:36Speaker 4: said it was abuse of power, obstruction of Congress. And
- 8:39Speaker 4: Akeem Jeffries, the same guy that says, yeah, we'll do
- 8:42Speaker 4: it again for a third time. He wasn't just someone
- 8:44Speaker 4: who cast a vote and then went home.
- 8:46Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Nancy Pelosi personally selected Jeffries to become one of the
- 8:52Speaker 4: seven House impeachment managers who prosecuted the case against Donald
- 8:56Speaker 4: Trump before the United States Senate. Now, Jeffries was literally
- 9:00Speaker 4: one of the prosecutors of the first Trump impeachment. And
- 9:04Speaker 4: his job was to stay in the Senate chamber, argue
- 9:06Speaker 4: that Donald Trump should be convicted and literally removed from office.
- 9:09Speaker 4: The overthrowing of an elected president of the United States
- 9:14Speaker 4: of America. This was a coup attempt because they knew
- 9:17Speaker 4: that what they were impeaching him for was bogus.
- 9:19Speaker 1: They didn't care.
- 9:20Speaker 4: They hated how the American people voted. And what did
- 9:24Speaker 4: they decide to do? They decided to try to overthrow
- 9:28Speaker 4: the will of the people. Now, Jeffries, again, claimed that
- 9:32Speaker 4: the evidence showed Trump had pressured a foreign government to
- 9:34Speaker 4: target an American citizen for his own political benefit and
- 9:38Speaker 4: interfere in the 2020 elections. He told senators, lied to them,
- 9:42Speaker 4: that impeachment was the constitutional remedy for what Democrats considered
- 9:46Speaker 4: the abuse of presidential power. This is how rogue Jeffries went.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Jeffries became one of the most recognizable figures of the
- 9:54Speaker 4: Senate trial. And remember his famous closing line after Trump's
- 9:58Speaker 4: attorneys asked why Democrats are putting the country through impeachment?
- 10:01Speaker 4: Jeffrey laid out the Democrats case and finished with a
- 10:05Speaker 4: reference to the notorious B.I.G.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I'm going to quote. This isn't a joke, what I'm
- 10:11Speaker 1: telling you right now. This is real.
- 10:13Speaker 4: Quote, and if you don't know, now you know. By
- 10:17Speaker 4: the way, the Senate acquitted Donald Trump. But Jeffries, oh no,
- 10:21Speaker 4: he wasn't finished. A month later, Jeffries and the other
- 10:24Speaker 4: impeachment managers wrote that Trump remained, in their words, quote,
- 10:28Speaker 4: lawless and corrupt.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And then came January 6th, impeachment number two.
- 10:33Speaker 4: The Capitol riot, Jeffries immediately called for Trump's removal from office.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Coup attempt number two.
- 10:39Speaker 4: On January the 7th, one day after the 6th, Jeffries
- 10:42Speaker 4: said the president should be removed from office. And he
- 10:45Speaker 4: said all options should be on the table, including impeachment
- 10:47Speaker 4: and conviction.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Go to jail and removal.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Six days later, the House impeached Donald Trump for a
- 10:54Speaker 4: second time. And of course, Jeffries voted yes. So now
- 10:59Speaker 4: you look at Jeffries. What is he saying? It's a
- 11:03Speaker 4: call to arms, folks, to help him overthrow the government again.
- 11:07Speaker 4: The will of the people to cancel out your vote.
- 11:12Speaker 4: And now this is what he's decided to do, which
- 11:14Speaker 4: is to campaign on it. I'm going to say it again.
- 11:17Speaker 4: To campaign on it. That is what they're saying. Vote
- 11:23Speaker 4: for us and we'll impeach Trump for a third time.
- 11:27Speaker 4: We will overthrow the will of the people.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Try to for a third time.
- 11:32Speaker 4: So if you think this election is about like normal
- 11:35Speaker 4: everyday issues, no. If you want to know what Democrats
- 11:39Speaker 4: are going to do, this is it. It is going
- 11:42Speaker 4: to be lawfare. They're going to go after Trump and
- 11:46Speaker 4: anybody else around the president of the United States of America.
- 11:50Speaker 4: They're going to do anything they can to destroy Trump
- 11:55Speaker 4: and anyone around him, no matter what. So don't say
- 12:00Speaker 4: you weren't warned. Get ready, America, because the Democrats have
- 12:04Speaker 4: made it clear publicly now for the very first time
- 12:07Speaker 4: that if you elect them, they will impeach Trump and
- 12:10Speaker 4: go after everyone around him.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Next, story number two.
- 12:14Speaker 4: All right, so if you're running for office, you know
- 12:18Speaker 4: that people are going to ask you certain questions. Things like,
- 12:21Speaker 4: you know, maybe like what your favorite food is or
- 12:24Speaker 4: where's your favorite place you've ever been on a vacation.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Or what is your favorite sports team?
- 12:30Speaker 4: And you should probably be able to answer those pretty
- 12:33Speaker 4: quickly because they're pretty normal. Maybe like, you know, hey,
- 12:36Speaker 4: where'd you go to college would be another one that's
- 12:38Speaker 4: pretty easy to answer. Well, when it comes to the
- 12:42Speaker 4: freaks in the Democratic Party, they've got a different set
- 12:45Speaker 4: of questions. And James Tallarico, he's making headlines right now.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Back in the spotlight, I would argue for all the
- 12:53Speaker 4: wrong reasons. Now, you know that he's got a lot
- 12:56Speaker 4: of controversial things that he's said during his political career. Well,
- 13:00Speaker 4: somebody decided to walk up to Tallarico at a campaign
- 13:03Speaker 4: event and ask him a very simple question. I'm going
- 13:08Speaker 4: to read you the question before I play you the audio,
- 13:10Speaker 4: because I want you to really listen to how quickly
- 13:13Speaker 4: Tallarico answers the question that he's about to be asked.
- 13:19Speaker 4: The question is, who's your favorite drag.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Queen in Texas?
- 13:26Speaker 4: And again, this is James Tallarico being asked who his
- 13:30Speaker 4: favorite drag queen is in Texas. And boy, was he
- 13:34Speaker 4: happy to answer that question.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Mr.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Tallarico, so nice to meet you. Sorry, I broke my head.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I was there when you defended the drags. Who's your
- 13:43Speaker 1: favorite drag queen in Texas? Oh my gosh, probably Alyssa Edwards.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Alyssa Edwards, I love Mikey Mays.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 13:50Speaker 4: That is your pastor, your Democratic mainstream candidate, James Tallarico, grinning, smiling,
- 13:56Speaker 4: and immediately saying, oh gosh, probably Alyssa Edwards. Yes, James
- 14:01Speaker 4: Tallarico actually has not just drag queens that he likes,
- 14:06Speaker 4: but he's got a favorite. And that is the reason
- 14:09Speaker 4: why this race is now looking even weirder than it
- 14:12Speaker 4: was before. Now, Alyssa Edwards is the stage name of
- 14:16Speaker 4: Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson. Apparently, that is a well-known drag
- 14:21Speaker 4: queen performer and dance instructor who has publicly described himself
- 14:26Speaker 4: as a, quote, drag performer that works with children, quote, unquote.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Johnson has operated a dance studio and worked extensively with
- 14:37Speaker 4: young dancers. He has also spoken publicly about sharing the
- 14:41Speaker 4: stage with his dance students. And his work with young
- 14:45Speaker 4: dancers was featured in the Netflix series Dancing Queen.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Now, by the way, this story becomes much bigger.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Why?
- 14:53Speaker 4: Because Tallarico already has a pretty extensive history, I'm not joking,
- 14:58Speaker 4: involving drag performances and children. In 2021, Tallarico appeared at
- 15:05Speaker 4: a Pride event in Taylor, Texas that also featured an
- 15:09Speaker 4: 11-year-old performer. That 11-year-old child was using the stage name
- 15:15Speaker 4: Queen Kiki. Promotional materials, by the way, for that event
- 15:19Speaker 4: described the child as its youngest drag performer. I'm going
- 15:22Speaker 4: to go back to that age again, 11. And then
- 15:26Speaker 4: if you look at that event, the reporting on that
- 15:28Speaker 4: event says it included a youth drag performance and then
- 15:32Speaker 4: a story time event with another drag queen. So when
- 15:36Speaker 4: Tallarico instantly names Alyssa Edwards as his favorite Texas drag queen, well,
- 15:42Speaker 4: you know that this is something that's pretty normal in
- 15:45Speaker 4: his life. Now, if you haven't been following the James
- 15:49Speaker 4: Tallarico career closely, you may not realize just how many
- 15:53Speaker 4: statements from his past are now being, well, a problem.
- 15:57Speaker 4: They're resurfacing, even though he's doubling down and leaning into them.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Take one of the most famous during a debate in
- 16:03Speaker 4: the Texas legislature in 2021 over transgender students participating in
- 16:08Speaker 4: school sports. Tallarico said God is non-binary. Now, that wasn't
- 16:13Speaker 4: something somebody attributed to him. He said it. Now, here's
- 16:17Speaker 4: something else that also, again, is amazing. The guy who
- 16:21Speaker 4: claims to be this brilliant pastor also said God is
- 16:25Speaker 4: both masculine and feminine and everything in between. And then
- 16:29Speaker 4: came that big line that God is non-binary. Now, Tallarico
- 16:34Speaker 4: has subsequently, quote, acknowledged that he was, well, being, quote,
- 16:38Speaker 4: intentionally provocative in that Fox News interview last week. He said, well,
- 16:43Speaker 4: I was just being provocative with that statement.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I get that. In other words, no, no, no.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Don't believe what I used to say, because now I'm
- 16:50Speaker 4: running for office and I need to be more mainstream.
- 16:53Speaker 4: He said his theological argument was simply that human categories
- 16:58Speaker 4: cannot define God.
- 17:00Speaker 1: He also said that there are six genders.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Now, you look at all of this and you add
- 17:05Speaker 4: it up with other things that he said, other controversial statements.
- 17:09Speaker 4: For example, like during the 2021 legislative hearing, Tallarico challenged
- 17:13Speaker 4: a Republican lawmaker on the number.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Of biological sexes.
- 17:18Speaker 4: Tallarico said, quote, modern science obviously recognizes that there are
- 17:22Speaker 4: many more than two biological sexes. And then he said,
- 17:26Speaker 4: in fact, there are six. Now he cited different chromosomal combinations.
- 17:31Speaker 4: And then he argued that biological sex exists on a spectrum.
- 17:35Speaker 4: But there's another obviously important development on that. Tallarico now
- 17:40Speaker 4: is going to walk back that statement saying, oh, well,
- 17:43Speaker 4: you know, hey, I was just, I guess, being, you know,
- 17:45Speaker 4: kind of inflammatory. He was asked just a couple of
- 17:49Speaker 4: days ago whether he still believes there are six biological sexes.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And he said, no. Yeah, that's it. One word answer.
- 17:55Speaker 5: No.
- 17:56Speaker 4: He then went on to explain in another interview that
- 17:58Speaker 4: he intended to say, what he intended to say, I guess,
- 18:01Speaker 4: is what he's trying to say now, is that there are,
- 18:03Speaker 4: you know, two sexes along with a small percentage of
- 18:05Speaker 4: people with genetic abnormalities. And then he acknowledged, I obviously
- 18:10Speaker 4: didn't say it correctly, there are not six sexes, there
- 18:13Speaker 4: are two. So what changed? Well, apparently just one thing.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Tallarico is running for office and the people around him
- 18:21Speaker 4: are saying, hey, man, you might want to not be
- 18:23Speaker 4: talking about all these radical statements of the past.
- 18:26Speaker 1: You should probably walk them back.
- 18:28Speaker 4: For example, in 2023, in an interview, Tallarico was asked
- 18:31Speaker 4: to name something he loved besides his family and friends.
- 18:35Speaker 1: And guess what his answer was? Trans children.
- 18:39Speaker 4: More specifically, Tallarico said, I love the trans children who
- 18:43Speaker 4: showed up yesterday at the state capitol to advocate for
- 18:48Speaker 4: their humanity. That is James Tallarico. And also just know,
- 18:53Speaker 4: this pastor guy has a favorite drag queen in Texas.
- 18:57Speaker 4: He's really excited and couldn't wait to answer the question.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Mr.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Tallarico, so nice to meet you. Sorry, I broke my hand.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I was there when you defended the drags. Who's your
- 19:06Speaker 1: favorite drag queen in Texas? Oh my gosh, probably Alyssa Edwards.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Alyssa Edwards? I love my feet, man.
- 19:11Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 19:12Speaker 4: I mean, man, you talk about being a big fan
- 19:14Speaker 4: of the drag queens. There's the Democratic candidate, James Tallarico.
