0:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to another episode of the Eugene Hamilton podcast.
0:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I feel like every time I share an episode with you, every time I able to communicate with you, I almost feel like we're being reintroduced to one another.
0:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So how are you doing?
0:32
[SPEAKER_00]: How's your week been?
0:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know in the chat.
0:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know in the comments.
0:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know wherever you're watching.
0:38
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a space for you to kind of communicate with me.
0:40
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I've got a few emails at Eugene Hamilton Group at gmail.com.
0:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Feel free to reach out to me.
0:47
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a question about any.
0:48
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, today's episode will be an extension of a conversation that I had with someone and it started with Guess what an email.
0:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, so feel free to reach out to me via email, DM wherever it is that you are consuming this content and we can definitely kick off a conversation and see where it takes us a day.
1:08
[SPEAKER_00]: We've got a hot one for you.
1:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's praying.
1:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Get going.
1:10
[SPEAKER_00]: God, we thank you for this moment right now.
1:14
[SPEAKER_00]: We thank you for.
1:15
[SPEAKER_00]: the opportunity to use technology, to share what's on my heart, to share what I believe you're given to me for those that are listening and those that will share, bless our time together, amen.
1:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Today we want to talk about what, because again, if you were with us, maybe four episodes ago, we talked a little bit about procrastination.
1:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, some of you go back, go back and check out
1:44
[SPEAKER_00]: We want to give an extension to that.
1:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And if I had to put a title for this episode, it would simply be stop waiting to feel ready.
1:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Has anyone ever gotten to a place in your life where your feelings, I don't want to say betrayed you, but your feelings led you down a path that you were not intended to go down.
2:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
2:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, feelings are interesting, especially let's go back to high school.
2:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
2:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you ever had feelings for someone in high school.
2:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
2:18
[SPEAKER_00]: You have feelings for someone.
2:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And they didn't have the same feelings for you.
2:22
[SPEAKER_00]: And your feelings took you down.
2:24
[SPEAKER_00]: A bumpy road to express that.
2:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And you've got your feelings crushed.
2:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, sometimes how we feel doesn't really reflect how we should move.
2:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes if your boss shares with you that they need you to stay over and you got something else that you want to do, you feel like saying something smart back to your boss, right?
2:55
[SPEAKER_00]: But we realize a recognized that oftentimes that's not the wise thing to do.
3:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Take your own kids.
3:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes as you're giving them instruction and direction, they feel like
3:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but oftentimes they check themselves and say, you know what how I feel is not how I should move when you wake up every single morning
3:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know you should be chasing your goals, your dreams and your aspirations.
3:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's be honest, sometimes you don't feel like putting in the work and engaging in the activities that will pull you closer to your goal because you might be tired because you might feel weak because you might want to just lounge and chill out for that moment or for that day.
3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: But you know for well, if you go with your feelings,
3:46
[SPEAKER_00]: you might not reach the benchmark for that day.
3:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Then there are some of us who are stuck in our feelings, because you're waiting to move forward, and almost as if you haven't verbalized it, but you're waiting for a perfect moment to move forward.
4:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And so you feel like this isn't the right time.
4:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You feel like, and of course, hey, we got all kind of connections with God, with those who are mentors to us, that sometimes will give us counsel, right?
4:23
[SPEAKER_00]: As to how we should move, and it could be right in line with your feelings, and it could be the opposite of your feelings.
4:32
[SPEAKER_00]: But here it is.
4:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes people allow their feelings, and here is takeaway number one,
4:39
[SPEAKER_00]: to kill their momentum.
4:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Oftentimes, going with your feelings of slowing down and waiting for everything to be perfect before you take that step of faith, there are moments and times where you lose momentum, waiting for the perfect scenario, the perfect moment, the perfect setup.
5:09
[SPEAKER_00]: But as I got moving, everything started to come together for me.
5:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have it all the time, but there have been times where I've been given a vision or an idea about something.
5:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And I sat down and waited, I lost momentum, I lost excitement, the most important I lost out on striking the iron while it was hot.
5:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And there have been times also where I didn't have everything together, right?
5:44
[SPEAKER_00]: When I started my company, the Eugene Hamilton group, prob from a shoot, everything was not together.
5:52
[SPEAKER_00]: But as I moved, I got one information.
5:54
[SPEAKER_00]: As I made connections, I got one information.
5:57
[SPEAKER_00]: As a networked, I got more insight.
5:59
[SPEAKER_00]: As I began to do my pitch and and reach out to people to engage in a possible partnership with them.
6:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I learn more things from them than I would have if I just sat there and told them my thumbs or sat there and googled everything and got everything on a spreadsheet.
6:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It's perfectly nice, cute.
6:17
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no.
6:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, there's a, no, it's appropriate for us to do background shit or to do research.
6:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It's appropriate for us when we're launching out to make sure that we are, that we have a knowledge about where we're going.
6:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about those who who have the knowledge you've done the research,
6:34
[SPEAKER_00]: and the scenario still isn't perfect for you and you children waiting around for a perfect situation.
6:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oftentimes that does not take place.
6:46
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not reality.
6:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So here it is.
6:49
[SPEAKER_00]: The difference between preparation, what you do in your research, if you need money, you've gotten your finances
7:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever it is, your people, the personnel.
7:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And let me say a word about that, because I've been able to work with people and people have actually joined my team alone the way because I was actually doing what I was called to do.
7:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I was actually acting on those things and those dreams and visions and plans that were in my head.
7:32
[SPEAKER_00]: If I was sitting around waiting for the perfect scenario, many of those individuals would have never seen me in action and would have never wanted to jump on or join or collaborate or partner with me to carry the vision forward.
7:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you sitting around?
7:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Waiting for the perfect day.
7:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you sitting around?
7:57
[SPEAKER_00]: waiting for the perfect pitch.
8:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you sitting around and waiting for the perfect attitude?
8:05
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, today I feel like, let me say this, because I did bullet and dabble in creating content and whatever, I put something out every single day.
8:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And I will tell you out of seven days, four of those days, I don't feel like putting anything out.
8:27
[SPEAKER_00]: out of seven days, maybe five of the days during the week.
8:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like putting anything out there.
8:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like making a video.
8:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like making a post.
8:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel, again, you follow, you follow the trend.
8:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't feel like doing it.
8:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I didn't get enough sleep that night.
8:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'm irritated about something.
8:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe businesses and flowing the way that I anticipated or wanted business to flow for that moment.
8:58
[SPEAKER_00]: did it anyway.
9:01
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I, I, there was something in my, and my stories I put, um, I can't remember the exact quote or, or even who it came from, um, but it was, it was talking about the fact that if you can't beat the feeling of fear, do it scared.
9:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you feel as if you've got all this fear, uh, engulfed engulfing you, and that's the reason why
9:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So here is my challenge in charge, right one thing down this week that you've been post-pony, you've been waiting for the perfect storm or the perfect scenario, I should say, you've been waiting for everything to line up.
9:51
[SPEAKER_00]: and you haven't taken any steps forward, right one step down, and actually hit me out.
9:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't just write it down, but take the action, take the step, and watch how closer it pulls you to your goal.
10:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Here it is, you're not on this earth by accident.
10:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything that you have, everything that you have created in your mind.
10:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Every idea that you have, I promise you, right?
10:23
[SPEAKER_00]: The world needs it, some in some way, shape, form or fashion.
10:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And then this is the funny part because some people wait for co-signs from individuals who were not meant to benefit from what you have to offer.
10:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of you wait for people who do not even need that service to give you the green light to offer that service.
10:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Man, you're spinning your wheels.
10:55
[SPEAKER_00]: If that's what you're waiting on.
10:57
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're waiting on someone who is trying to convince you that the world doesn't need what you have to offer.
11:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's based on the fact that they don't need what you have to offer.
11:12
[SPEAKER_00]: No, many people, I mean, I'm in a relationship with or I'm connected to who don't need what I have to offer.
11:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And because they don't need what I have to offer, many can't see the vision as to why what you have to offer will make any difference in the world.
11:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
11:29
[SPEAKER_00]: They want more than half that vision.
11:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
11:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And unless they need it, right?
11:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Until they need it, until they actually are in need of what you have to offer, many people will never see the vision and you need to stop not hanging around them.
11:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying they're not bad people, right?
11:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You need to stop getting wisdom from them about that.
11:55
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.
11:56
[SPEAKER_00]: There are people who don't see the vision.
11:58
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you've been praying, you've been given a vision, you've been given enlightenment around that, what you have to offer, and you sitting at procrastinating, waiting on them to give the green light?
12:12
[SPEAKER_00]: If that's the case, the world would never receive.
12:18
[SPEAKER_00]: What's you have to offer if you're waiting on them?
12:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you're waiting on you, please be able to tell you.
12:27
[SPEAKER_00]: get out of your feelings, get out of your head, stop over thinking it, have faith that once you start moving, what needs to come together will come together.
12:51
[SPEAKER_00]: If it isn't it there's not another book you can read.
12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of you've read books.
12:56
[SPEAKER_00]: You've taken courses.
12:58
[SPEAKER_00]: You've done all the things as it were.
13:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And you steal hesitating.
13:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Where's your faith?
13:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You steal second guess in yourself.
13:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Where's your faith?
13:18
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to encourage you.
13:20
[SPEAKER_00]: to step out.
13:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it's the unknown, whether it's the deep, whether it's something brand new, new space new territory, step out.
13:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I promise you once you step out, it may not come together tomorrow.
13:37
[SPEAKER_00]: It may not come together in that moment.
13:39
[SPEAKER_00]: You may be more days ahead.
13:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you feel as if at least in my son, my son is interesting.
13:45
[SPEAKER_00]: My son has been in his five.
13:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Then listen, don't call it bad parenting.
13:50
[SPEAKER_00]: We just haven't had the time yet.
13:52
[SPEAKER_00]: take it to get swimming lessons, right?
13:55
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's really crazy because we live in California and and yet that's swimming opportunities everywhere in terms of Southern California that is.
14:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Opportunity for him to learn nonetheless, he's he swims with these floaties on, right?
14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Or he's in the water playing.
14:09
[SPEAKER_00]: He does a swim with them when he he's playing with these floaties on, right?
14:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So if we go out of town instead of hotel, whatever case it might be, if there's a swimming pool
14:19
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and the other day he thought he was just going to be brave and and daddy, I want to take my floaties off.
14:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I said, you don't know how to swim just yet, son.
14:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I know how to swim.
14:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Look.
14:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he shows me how he swimming with his floaties on and of course he's making progress in the water.
14:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So I take his floaties off.
14:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm there.
14:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not letting him get out there by himself.
14:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm standing right there, right up under him.
14:42
[SPEAKER_00]: and he takes the floaty's off and of course he goes straight under.
14:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I grabbed him but it wasn't even a second two second I grabbed him and he's like oh no daddy oh no dad thank you I'm not you know I put my floaty's back on please I thought it was ready.
14:59
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're like my son and you haven't made proper preparation
15:05
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, there's a difference.
15:06
[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't prepared to take off his slowies.
15:09
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't do lessons.
15:11
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't put in reps.
15:12
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't put in hours.
15:13
[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't put in laps, all right?
15:16
[SPEAKER_00]: That's lack of preparation.
15:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Procrastination is you put in the reps. You put in the laps.
15:24
[SPEAKER_00]: You've taken the lessons.
15:25
[SPEAKER_00]: You've taken the course.
15:28
[SPEAKER_00]: You know how to swim.
15:31
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're just more comfortable with your floaties on, that's a whole different ball game.
15:37
[SPEAKER_00]: My son needs the floaties.
15:40
[SPEAKER_00]: If daddy gets out there with floaties, you better call somebody, you better call the authorities, because I'm not a pocket.
15:47
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I'm just procrastinating.
15:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So figure out which boat are you in?
15:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you in the procrastination boat?
15:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you in the lack of preparation boat?
15:59
[SPEAKER_00]: No matter where you are,
16:01
[SPEAKER_00]: There's an answer for you on both ends.
16:03
[SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't prepared yet, don't you dare, don't you dare?
16:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Your feelings might be on your own point.
16:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You should be second guessing yourself.
16:11
[SPEAKER_00]: You haven't prepared.
16:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You should be second guessing yourself.
16:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you prepared, you stuck in this cycle of overthinking and just not doing what you've prepared to do, I implore you.
16:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Strap up your faith, get your mind right,
16:32
[SPEAKER_00]: and move forward.
16:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, send this out to somebody this week, who's waiting to feel ready.
16:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Send this out to somebody this week that has prepared, they've done the coursework, they've done all the things.
16:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But they're just waiting for a perfect moment.
16:52
[SPEAKER_00]: They need to hear that perfect
17:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Tell them to step out on faith.
17:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Send this to them, share this out, to walk out on faith and watch things come together.
17:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I hope that through today's episode, you've been growing, you've been growing and glowing.
17:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that as you continue to live life and do what you've been born to do, that other lives are blessed and impacted and most importantly, that you feel the need.
17:25
[SPEAKER_00]: To remember that the impact that you make,
17:30
[SPEAKER_00]: but you'll understand it better as we move forward.
17:32
[SPEAKER_00]: See you next week for another episode, until then, take care, don't forget to go, grow and glow.
17:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Peace.
