  And you don't even think twice about it because you're like.

  who Bob Bucher was. And I texted when when you and I

  were going back and forth about it today, I was like, this just

  seemed like one of those guys that was going to be around

  forever, you know, like the Vince Scully's of the world, the

  Willie Mays's of the world, where you're just like, oh,

  yeah. But you don't even have to.

  You don't even have to guess if they're still with us because

  they're just sort of all. You always see them at a base at
• 1:47
  a baseball field. You always see them in the
• 1:49
  booth, you know, wherever they're at.

  You just know. You just assume they're there.

  But man, what a what a blow, not just for the Brewers, but for

  all of baseball. Yeah, man, you know, I think

  what is so great about he's he's Mount Rushmore of broadcasters

  for me. But what's great is that like,

  you know, he can live on through, you know, his movies
• 2:20
  Major League is is obviously just it's he's incredible in it

  and I love that. Like that was his style.

  Like that. He wasn't that wasn't anybody

  else. It wasn't Bob Euchre being a

  character in any way. That was him, man.

  Like and the voice of the Brewers and like, like you said,

  like it's weird to hear that he was 90.

  You don't really imagine it like it.

  It's just, I don't know. It doesn't click.

  It doesn't feel like it was ever on my radar.

  I think that's why I'm a little sad.

  And it's like, well, duh, he's 90.

  He let this is the best way I've been able to make sense of it.

  He lived a lot like he lived so many different lives.

  It seemed that you would have assumed that he was 120.

  But he had the liveliness, the energy, the youthfulness, even

  Oh yeah, of a 20 year old. And you're just like, how does

  this guy keep doing what he's doing?

  He'd probably answer that by telling you because this is just
• 3:34
  what he loves. And it came and it came out in
• 3:37
  his, in his calls, in his, in the roles he had in his movies,
• 3:42
  his TVI mean, this guy did everything.

  He even did a he did a what a a couple spots in like the
• 3:49
  wrestling world there a couple promos for that.

  I'm like, this guy has literally done it all.
• 3:54
  And he was this, like you said, it wasn't a character.
• 3:59
  That's it's just who he was. And it, it was, it was
• 4:03
  demonstrated, it was portrayed in everything that he did.

  And, you know, I went back today and I was listening to a
• 4:12
  compilation of, of some of his, you know, all time calls or, or
• 4:16
  whatever. And it, it was just it, it sort
• 4:21
  of hits you a little differently now because you're like, yeah.

  And, and it's not a knock to the, to the like, the up and
• 4:28
  coming broadcasters of today. But it's like, you know, they
• 4:32
  they're, they're great in their own respects.

  But there's a certain, there's a certain style from that.

  Yeah, with him. And, and like other guys from,
• 4:42
  you know, that era grown up, like calling the games of some
• 4:46
  of the greatest players baseball has ever seen.

  And there was just, there was a, a purity, I guess is the best
• 4:55
  way to to to put it like you're, you're listening back on these
• 4:58
  calls and you're like, this is baseball.

  This is baseball. There's there's no.
• 5:05
  There's no, I don't know. I think there's a way that like
• 5:11
  in, you know, Vince Kelly's obviously like the master at it,
• 5:15
  but there was a way of the the ability to be so descriptive in
• 5:24
  a quick broadcasting way. You know what I mean?

  Like, and I don't know if that's with the understanding that like
• 5:34
  maybe when they started doing this, like not everyone had ATV,
• 5:40
  there was no social media. Maybe a lot of it was listening
• 5:43
  through the radio. You had to like the picture.

  So you had to like really allow that fan to understand if
• 5:51
  they're not watching exactly what was happening.

  And it's an art that I think is it, it is dying off.

  You know what I mean? I don't think it is really going
• 6:06
  to be recreated in a way. And that's OK.

  I think that's OK. Like it's, it's an incredible

  style. And and like you said, man,

  we're just, there's voices where you're just, you're never ever

  going to not know immediately who it is.

  And he's one of those voices. You know, you, you hate to see,

  we'll just call it a chapter like this close for again, not

  just the Brewers, but for all of baseball.

  You hate to see a chapter in the form of Bob Euchre close.

  But the beauty of the chapter closing is that we'll always
• 6:53
  have it to to look back on and to have the proverbial read
• 6:58
  through. We'll always be able to look
• 6:59
  back on his calls and it the the the major leagues of the world
• 7:05
  and, and, and look back and go man.

  And, and you, it makes you think of that line or it's like, I

  wish you could know that you're in the good old days before
• 7:12
  you've actually left them. And I've I've, I would imagine
• 7:17
  that that's probably how many Brewers fans are feeling right
• 7:19
  now in particular because he was the soundtrack to many a summer
• 7:23
  for them. And yeah, you know, if you're
• 7:26
  lucky enough to be a fan of a team that that brings in a guy
• 7:33
  like that and is as good as he is at what he does, and he
• 7:38
  sticks around for as long as he does like that, count yourself
• 7:42
  lucky. Because not every, not every
• 7:44
  fan, not every team has that same fortune.

  And I just, I don't know how you replace that.

  I don't know like who's who they've got next in line.

  But I yeah, good luck. Yeah, I don't, I didn't really

  dive like too deep into it. I I did see it something from

  Bob Nightingale that I don't know, it was a little kind of

  rubbed me the wrong way or it was like the Brewers gut

  retching post season loss last year.

  I think they knew that it was likely Euchre's last call or
• 8:25
  whatever, something like that. And I'm like, why did they like,

  wait, you don't have to like, yeah, you don't.

  We don't have to talk about like we don't have to rope in the

  Brewers performance like like last year.

  You know what I'm saying? There's just like it.

  This can just be about Bob Euchre.

  It doesn't have to be anything else.

  Yeah, yeah, I don't know. Maybe there were and and maybe

  the whole point of him saying that and me taking out of

  context is likely that like the Brewers maybe had plans or

  started to have that conversation, but I.

  It's possible he knew at that point that like this.

  Was the end is possible and he and he maybe just kind of kept

  under wraps and yeah, I don't know.

  But I think it's I think it's special that it didn't, it

  didn't like necessarily happen in season.

  And I think it's special that he got like a full season and got

  to see the Brewers in the postseason.

  Like, you know, I, I, I don't know, it feels, it feels like it

  had like a a good ending and and it wasn't like years after

  retirement, you know what I mean?

  Like this man was in the booth till the end.

  That's cool. There's a lot worse ways to go

  on my mind, you know, And I feel like he's probably a very, he

  was probably a very fulfilled and happy person.

  And you could hear that in his voice, in his, in the way he

  acted and talked to others and appreciated our game.

  So, yeah, man. But for sure a Mount Rushmore

  broadcaster. You know, it didn't like you

  just said it didn't end during the season, but I guarantee you

  if it did, he would have wanted it to happen in the booth like

  he he would not have he would not have left that seat.

  But but to your point, you know that the timing of it gives the

  Brewers, I think a little bit of time here before the season

  starts to really think about how they want to honor him this next

  season, because you you can only imagine they're going to do it

  right for him as they should. So very, again, it's it's a

  terrible situation, obviously, but I'm I'm eager to see how

  they plan to to honor a guy of his stature because, yeah, not

  many come along like him. So yeah, for sure.

  here the bringing back Jesse Winker on a one year deal.

  doesn't exactly move the needle for you.

  But this is one of the only real transactions that's taken place

  in the last few days. Everything else is pretty much

  speculation at this point. So figured I'd throw it in here
