Lucas: Today we've got three more items you might find at a park. Let's start with 'el resbaladilla'. Luna: El resbaladilla. That's a slide, right? Lucas: Exactly. El resbaladilla. In some places it's 'el tobogán', but 'resbaladilla' is common too. Luna: So 'el resbaladilla' is a slide. Got it. El resbaladilla. Lucas: Perfect. Next, 'el columpio' — the swings. Luna: El columpio. I remember that from before. The swings. Lucas: Yes, and finally 'el pasamanos' — the monkey bars. Luna: El pasamanos. That's a mouthful. El pasamanos. Lucas: You got it. Let's put them in sentences. Repeat after me: Los niños juegan en el resbaladilla. Luna: Los niños juegan en el resbaladilla. The children play on the slide. Lucas: Good. Next: Me gusta el columpio. Luna: Me gusta el columpio. I like the swings. Lucas: And: El pasamanos es alto. Luna: El pasamanos es alto. The monkey bars are high. Lucas: Let's do a quick scene. Imagine you're at the park with a friend. You point and say: Mira, el resbaladilla. Luna: Mira, el resbaladilla. Look, the slide. Lucas: Then your friend says: ¿Te gusta el columpio? You answer: Sí, me gusta el columpio. Luna: Sí, me gusta el columpio. Yes, I like the swings. Lucas: Nice. And if you see the monkey bars: El pasamanos es muy alto. Luna: El pasamanos es muy alto. The monkey bars are very high. Lucas: Now for a little practice. I'll say the English, you say the Spanish. Slide. Luna: El resbaladilla. Lucas: Swings. Luna: El columpio. Lucas: Monkey bars. Luna: El pasamanos. That one's tricky but I got it. Lucas: You did great. Now try a full sentence: The children play on the slide. Luna: Los niños juegan en el resbaladilla. Lucas: Awesome.
