Tucson’s historic Himmel Park Library, opened in 1961 and the city’s first branch within its limits, is getting a $8 million makeover—tearing down half the building to rebuild with more shelves, a giant meeting room, a park-view reading porch, upgraded tech stations, a laptop bar, a new study room, and bigger restrooms.
