- 0:01Speaker 1: This is Patriot's Unfiltered, presented by Toyota's official website for
- 0:06Speaker 1: deals by a Toyota dot com.
- 0:10Speaker 2: All right back here at Patriots Unfiltered Live from Radio Road,
- 0:14Speaker 2: Day three. We're into hour three. It is Evan, it's Deuce,
- 0:19Speaker 2: it's Me, it's Paul, it's Matt, it's Anthony, it's Matisse.
- 0:25Speaker 2: And we're bringing you all the guests here. Matt Hasselback
- 0:28Speaker 2: just joined us. Good stuff, good stuff from Matt Hasselback
- 0:32Speaker 2: certainly knows the quarterback.
- 0:34Speaker 3: We're not impartial.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Right on with the right and about Xaverian, I was closed,
- 0:42Speaker 4: but I did it.
- 0:42Speaker 3: So but I was starting to you know, we got sidetracked.
- 0:45Speaker 5: But it was interesting that right off of the Brady talk, well,
- 0:50Speaker 5: you know not Matt Hasselback is.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Not Tom Brady. But he is a you know, longtime quarterback.
- 0:55Speaker 2: For the Seahawks.
- 0:56Speaker 3: He grew up here. He's a Patriot. I mean by here,
- 0:59Speaker 3: I mean you know.
- 1:00Speaker 5: In uh in Massachusetts. So he's a lifelong Patriots fan.
- 1:06Speaker 5: His dad played for the Patriots. He has no problem
- 1:10Speaker 5: in Seattle telling you I'm rooting.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I do have a dog in the fight. I'm rooting
- 1:14Speaker 3: for you. The Seahawks.
- 1:15Speaker 5: I'm I was the Seahawks quarterback and I'm rooting for
- 1:18Speaker 5: Seattle team.
- 1:19Speaker 6: Did he say that, because I know he said he
- 1:20Speaker 6: just had to present something to a Seahawks fan, so
- 1:24Speaker 6: don't spoil.
- 1:25Speaker 4: I mean, you're you're wearing he's wearing the satin sweatshirt
- 1:28Speaker 4: on airplaces.
- 1:29Speaker 7: I mean, I thought it was I thought it was good.
- 1:32Speaker 7: But yeah, it's really interesting.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Maybe Tom could take a lesson from that, like it's
- 1:36Speaker 5: okay to, you know, allow your true feelings to be
- 1:39Speaker 5: not I.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Just feel like there was a way to middle it
- 1:41Speaker 4: where he could stay sort of like in the Raiders
- 1:45Speaker 4: Ownerships good graces, but also say that obviously Mike Rabel,
- 1:50Speaker 4: Josh McDaniel is a great dear friends of mine. You know,
- 1:54Speaker 4: I'm pulling for them, you know where it's that's enough
- 1:57Speaker 4: of a middle ground where you're not like waving the palm,
- 2:00Speaker 4: but you're also acknowledging the obvious connection that you have
- 2:03Speaker 4: to the organization.
- 2:04Speaker 8: No.
- 2:04Speaker 6: I realized it as he was sitting there, and it
- 2:06Speaker 6: was another reason why I kind of like to see her.
- 2:08Speaker 7: So, you know, I kind of had a connection to
- 2:09Speaker 7: him growing up, and I mean he took him to
- 2:11Speaker 7: their first Super Bowl.
- 2:12Speaker 6: He's I mean, kind of a Seattle Seahawks quarterback legend
- 2:15Speaker 6: for getting them the first team.
- 2:16Speaker 2: To the to the Super Bowl. Yep, all right? Eight
- 2:19Speaker 2: five five Pats five hundred is the Hotline podcast at
- 2:23Speaker 2: Patriots dot com is the email address. Let's go. Uh.
- 2:26Speaker 2: She made quite a stir yesterday. She's back and she's
- 2:29Speaker 2: from North Carolina.
- 2:30Speaker 3: It's not Bob, who I thought it was is on
- 2:32Speaker 3: the line.
- 2:33Speaker 2: What's up the Bayeahba?
- 2:37Speaker 7: We need you come on?
- 2:38Speaker 2: Are you there?
- 2:39Speaker 3: It does say real person, not a plant.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Yeah. On the call screen, I thought it was his
- 2:44Speaker 2: mother and she's gonna yell at Evan, but she couldn't.
- 2:48Speaker 3: It sounded like her.
- 2:49Speaker 7: Now, dare you accuse me of being your mother in law?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Sorry, I would never let my daughter marry you mean
- 2:56Speaker 2: things about your stepmother, so.
- 2:57Speaker 3: That it's not her daughter, but that that Yeah, that's ok.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Let's Toronto, Sean. What's up Sean Daniel in Toronto? Now,
- 3:07Speaker 2: it's Daniel, Daniel. What's up Daniel? No, he's not there
- 3:11Speaker 2: reason they can't hold on.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Patty be there.
- 3:16Speaker 2: He's been calling it sporadically. What's up, Patty?
- 3:21Speaker 8: Hey, good afternoon, Joe.
- 3:23Speaker 7: Good afternoon, Patty. What's happening?
- 3:27Speaker 9: Not too much, just uh, finishing up my day of work.
- 3:30Speaker 9: I wanted to go over just just a couple of
- 3:32Speaker 9: things and give you a prediction for the game. I
- 3:35Speaker 9: keep coming back to. I think the biggest factor in
- 3:38Speaker 9: the game is going to be stopping Kenneth Walker and Freddie.
- 3:42Speaker 9: You've said it before. Unless your name is Tom Brady,
- 3:45Speaker 9: most quarterbacks you can't expect to drop back forty to
- 3:48Speaker 9: fifty times a game, especially in a game of this magnitude,
- 3:51Speaker 9: and expect to win the game. My second point would be,
- 3:56Speaker 9: if anyone out there are better, I'm just looking at
- 3:59Speaker 9: the recent super old trend. The last five underdogs have
- 4:03Speaker 9: covered not only that, but for the last five of
- 4:07Speaker 9: one outright. So if anyone's putting a bet on the game,
- 4:11Speaker 9: the state that would bet, put your money on the
- 4:14Speaker 9: Patriots at least to cover the spread. And I think
- 4:18Speaker 9: this is gonna be a little bit higher scoring game
- 4:20Speaker 9: than in what I hear. A lot of the prognosticators say,
- 4:24Speaker 9: what will the Garrett Blunt say? You know, however, you
- 4:27Speaker 9: think the game is gonna go, It's probably not gonna
- 4:29Speaker 9: go that way, right.
- 4:30Speaker 10: But I got the Pats.
- 4:31Speaker 9: I got the Pats winning.
- 4:33Speaker 11: Okay, won to twenty seven, and I think I think
- 4:36Speaker 11: we're gonna see some big, wacky plays including I'm hoping
- 4:40Speaker 11: a touchdown to Kyrie's kanga.
- 4:42Speaker 9: That's all I got, guys, all right.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I love it sounds good.
- 4:45Speaker 4: I agree though with his first point about the run game.
- 4:49Speaker 4: I mean that that to me, Okay, it all starts.
- 4:52Speaker 4: The whole engine of the Seahawks offense is Kenneth Walker
- 4:55Speaker 4: in their run game, and that's how they want to play.
- 4:57Speaker 3: You know, they they lead the league in rush percentage.
- 4:59Speaker 4: They you know, our thirtieth the pass right over expected
- 5:03Speaker 4: like they are a run first team.
- 5:05Speaker 3: That that is true, truly what they are.
- 5:07Speaker 4: And you know, Sam Darnold is number one in the
- 5:10Speaker 4: league and EPA on play action like so everything is
- 5:13Speaker 4: all adding up to they want to be able to
- 5:15Speaker 4: run the ball and they want to marry it with
- 5:17Speaker 4: the play action passes and like that's.
- 5:19Speaker 3: How they drive their offense.
- 5:20Speaker 4: And if you can take away that run game and
- 5:22Speaker 4: make them a true drop back passing team, I do
- 5:25Speaker 4: think you have a really good chance of not just
- 5:28Speaker 4: you know, winning the game, but maybe really shutting down
- 5:30Speaker 4: the Seahawks offense and you know, having the game go
- 5:34Speaker 4: kind of the way the first three playoff games have gone.
- 5:36Speaker 2: H Dana Poughkeepsie says, I can understand why Evan is
- 5:39Speaker 2: reluctant to shout from the rooftops that he went to Ithaca.
- 5:42Speaker 2: It's not easy to impress when you look into people's
- 5:44Speaker 2: eyes and tell people, Oh, I'm a bomber. I think
- 5:48Speaker 2: that's what's wrong with that.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know, that's not what it is.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Did you talk to your Ethica boys, because we saw
- 5:54Speaker 6: the ethic of kids and they were like, Alex Barth, yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 6: we know him.
- 5:56Speaker 2: He's coming on.
- 5:57Speaker 7: And we're like, what about Adam Lazar And they're like.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Oh no, no, can't get him.
- 6:01Speaker 7: You know, he's too big.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Have you have you turned them down?
- 6:04Speaker 3: Have you?
- 6:04Speaker 2: No?
- 6:05Speaker 4: I know, I know Barth is like Barth is like
- 6:08Speaker 4: a folk hero at Ithaca. Really Oh yeah, yeah? He can't.
- 6:13Speaker 4: He translate this so Fred doesn't have to pay for
- 6:15Speaker 4: a woman to be right because he he did all
- 6:18Speaker 4: of this stuff as a student. You know, I was
- 6:21Speaker 4: I was, you know, doing extracurricular so like he was,
- 6:25Speaker 4: he was doing.
- 6:25Speaker 3: ICV and ic TV and all these things.
- 6:29Speaker 4: And like I did some of that stuff for sure,
- 6:31Speaker 4: but he was heavily, heavily involved in all this. So
- 6:34Speaker 4: like you know, they probably are like, oh, it's bark.
- 6:36Speaker 4: That's a legend over there.
- 6:38Speaker 3: You know I did. They're really into Alex.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Have a seat. Oh hello, have a seat, Alex.
- 6:45Speaker 7: Take off your credentials.
- 6:47Speaker 3: I keep saying, I feel like I have not seen
- 6:49Speaker 3: this Alex all week.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Like that's what we're gonna catch up with.
- 6:55Speaker 4: We just keep on like we're two ships passing the
- 6:57Speaker 4: night like I had just one time. I see him go, hey,
- 7:00Speaker 4: come over there, and then she's gone again.
- 7:02Speaker 12: Evan, do you miss me? I miss you guys too.
- 7:08Speaker 6: I would love to get a burrito. I passed Alex
- 7:10Speaker 6: last night at the dinner and I'm like, how are
- 7:11Speaker 6: you doing it?
- 7:12Speaker 12: She's like thriving, thriving, We're having fun great answer cards
- 7:19Speaker 12: against humanity to like one am in the hotel.
- 7:22Speaker 13: Yes, Evan thought it was crazy.
- 7:25Speaker 4: I walked out. I mean the card that I walked
- 7:27Speaker 4: outside to you guys. I was like, yeah, I'm going
- 7:31Speaker 4: to bed, see you later.
- 7:32Speaker 2: So what have you been doing?
- 7:33Speaker 13: Oh my god?
- 7:35Speaker 12: Finally, so finally, after I think Tuesday shows last time
- 7:39Speaker 12: I was on after that. I went to check out
- 7:41Speaker 12: all the experiences the Pro Bowl. It's so much fun.
- 7:45Speaker 12: Oh my god, the energy here radio is the best though.
- 7:49Speaker 12: This is like the best part, absolutely, you think. So
- 7:52Speaker 12: it's so cool, you guys, amazing networking, just kind of
- 7:57Speaker 12: getting to see some people that you've seen on TV
- 7:59Speaker 12: for so long doing their thing.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just like you're just walking around.
- 8:03Speaker 13: Yeah, it's like, Okay, hey stephen A.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Smith.
- 8:05Speaker 12: Hey Pat McAfee, you know it's Martha Stewart.
- 8:08Speaker 3: I'm on today after stephen A. Smith. Again, I can't
- 8:12Speaker 3: let me tell you something tradition. I'm like any other
- 8:14Speaker 3: getting bunched by stephen A.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Smith.
- 8:15Speaker 12: I was in the car up here in traffic listening
- 8:18Speaker 12: to you guys on the show, and you mentioned Martha Stewart,
- 8:21Speaker 12: and Veronica and Carter were in the car with me,
- 8:23Speaker 12: and I was like, oh, what's that Stewart. I scared
- 8:25Speaker 12: the crap at a Carter, like he thought we were
- 8:26Speaker 12: about to get into an.
- 8:27Speaker 6: ASA and she's wandering around right now. She might pass
- 8:29Speaker 6: by any second.
- 8:30Speaker 13: I mean, she's a New England woman Connecticut.
- 8:33Speaker 7: It's cool, go Pats, We'll.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Get her on. So, uh, you said, you went to experience, Yeah,
- 8:39Speaker 2: how was that?
- 8:39Speaker 13: They were cool?
- 8:41Speaker 12: It's it's really cool for the families, you know, like
- 8:44Speaker 12: there's so many kids and dads and moms just so excited,
- 8:47Speaker 12: and honestly, I'll be honest, it gave me like a
- 8:49Speaker 12: new appreciation for the Pro Bowl a little bit because
- 8:52Speaker 12: I've never really cared about it. I don't think it's
- 8:54Speaker 12: a great product on TV for fans, But then being
- 8:58Speaker 12: there and seeing kids and families really enjoying it and
- 9:02Speaker 12: how close they got to go. Even though it's just
- 9:04Speaker 12: flag football, these kids are still so psyched to see
- 9:06Speaker 12: their favorite players. So it did give me a little
- 9:08Speaker 12: bit better of an appreciation for it.
- 9:10Speaker 13: So I'll probably stop talking crap about it now.
- 9:13Speaker 6: Have you gotten Have you felt the sense of Patriots
- 9:15Speaker 6: Seahawks fans out of these events?
- 9:18Speaker 12: Yeah, there's a lot of Seahawks fans, but there's a
- 9:20Speaker 12: lot of Patriots fans too.
- 9:21Speaker 13: And there's a lot of people.
- 9:23Speaker 12: I think there's a lot more neutral people pulling for
- 9:26Speaker 12: the Patriots than I thought there would be.
- 9:28Speaker 7: Okay, San Francisco they hate the Seahawks, right.
- 9:30Speaker 13: And people, Yeah, it really is, that's what it is.
- 9:36Speaker 12: That's what it is and obviously the forty nine ers
- 9:39Speaker 12: in Seattle had some battles.
- 9:41Speaker 5: This, no questions, San Francisco people are going to be
- 9:45Speaker 5: rooting for the Patriots division rival thing.
- 9:47Speaker 13: Yeah, it's been cool. This has been a great week.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Okay, yet, what are you going to do? What's what's
- 9:53Speaker 2: your plans today? Yeah? Today, tomorrow, Saturday.
- 9:56Speaker 3: What's the what's the lifestyle story of the day.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:59Speaker 3: Interesting, I'm hoping to find it.
- 10:01Speaker 13: I'm still hoping to find.
- 10:02Speaker 3: It, to find Fred's bono.
- 10:04Speaker 12: You know, Prescott, I did find a Patriots fan here
- 10:07Speaker 12: in the Bay Area that has over one hundred authentic
- 10:11Speaker 12: Patriots jerseys.
- 10:11Speaker 13: It's the craziest collection I've ever seen.
- 10:13Speaker 12: So I have a cool interview with him that'll be
- 10:15Speaker 12: coming relatively soon.
- 10:18Speaker 13: And yeah, popping around.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Hopefully it's a Martha Stewart lifestyle interview that you know,
- 10:23Speaker 6: my dreams.
- 10:25Speaker 3: She's always been a Patriots fan.
- 10:26Speaker 13: You guys, I might just retire if I got that.
- 10:29Speaker 13: After Payton Man and find her and bring around the set.
- 10:33Speaker 2: We'll let you sit an interview with.
- 10:35Speaker 6: She was walking by, people are popping up to her,
- 10:37Speaker 6: she was taking selfie.
- 10:38Speaker 13: She was very happy to talk to people, so really okay, cool. Yeah,
- 10:43Speaker 13: my girl Chris is here.
- 10:44Speaker 7: The tagline it's a good thing. Is that her thing?
- 10:46Speaker 13: It's a good thing?
- 10:47Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Is that right? Yeah?
- 10:48Speaker 5: So I wanted to have her on and she's like, yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 5: I was at the eighty five Super Bowl.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I've been a Patriots fan all my life. Slot is
- 10:54Speaker 3: a good thing.
- 10:56Speaker 7: That's you gotta work Fred slap with the slaughter as
- 10:58Speaker 7: long as like.
- 10:58Speaker 13: The ingredients of the souper up to her standard?
- 11:02Speaker 2: What about like speed queen? Do you think speak Queen is?
- 11:04Speaker 12: She absolutely probably thinks although it's a little much money,
- 11:10Speaker 12: as Martha Stewart, do you care about like the longevity
- 11:14Speaker 12: of your appliances?
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's part of her things.
- 11:16Speaker 3: That's why she has so much money.
- 11:18Speaker 7: Yeah, I just don't have to use quarters.
- 11:19Speaker 3: She doesn't waste it on speak Queen usually.
- 11:23Speaker 2: All right, all right, well listen, we'll let you go
- 11:27Speaker 2: and walk around because I know you want to experience this.
- 11:29Speaker 3: She's networking.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Obviously, I got the over under at six and a
- 11:33Speaker 5: half months before she leaves us.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Go find to get a job, all right, the Great
- 11:39Speaker 2: Alex Francisco.
- 11:41Speaker 3: All right, as at at super bowls.
- 11:44Speaker 7: Yeah, some people find their spouses.
- 11:46Speaker 3: We lose our young talent man.
- 11:48Speaker 2: All right, let's get back to the phones. Daniels in Toronto.
- 11:51Speaker 2: He's gonna give it another shot. What's up, Daniel, Daniel? Hey?
- 11:57Speaker 14: Hey, yeah, Jeremy, Yes, okay, So a long time listeninger,
- 12:04Speaker 14: first time color. What do you guys think about Kyle
- 12:07Speaker 14: Williams on the end around kind of utilizing his speed
- 12:11Speaker 14: because we haven't really seen him in I guess regular plays.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I don't like him on them in particular. I don't
- 12:19Speaker 3: think he's shown a good Yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Na, I do think there would be a chance to
- 12:24Speaker 4: him maybe run through his own and and get open
- 12:26Speaker 4: down in the field. Uh, but this this team has
- 12:29Speaker 4: such so much sideline to sideline speed on defense that
- 12:32Speaker 4: I don't know. End to rounds are the way to
- 12:35Speaker 4: go against Seattle and just there them in particular, just
- 12:38Speaker 4: very fast defense.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Now, I just I think Kyle lives a really interesting player,
- 12:42Speaker 6: especially going into next year, now that we're looking past Sunday.
- 12:44Speaker 6: But we've seen some flashes, but we've seen some inconsistency too,
- 12:48Speaker 6: And I would say I felt at a certain point like, oh,
- 12:50Speaker 6: we're starting to to get it, and then we kind
- 12:53Speaker 6: of saw him regress in the playoffs, firmly on the
- 12:57Speaker 6: fence on him.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I know that doesn't make a great radio like
- 13:01Speaker 3: just to agree that.
- 13:03Speaker 5: You could tell me he's gonna have seventy catches next year,
- 13:05Speaker 5: and you could tell me he's gonna have twenty catches
- 13:07Speaker 5: next year, and I would say.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I could say.
- 13:09Speaker 4: I think at the worst case scenario, though, like they
- 13:11Speaker 4: got somebody that can stretch the field. Ye, Like, so
- 13:14Speaker 4: maybe it's a Philip Dorset, you know, type of player,
- 13:17Speaker 4: and it's not a Brandon Cooks type of player, which
- 13:19Speaker 4: is what.
- 13:20Speaker 3: I was hoping he would really blossom into.
- 13:22Speaker 4: But regardless, it's still somebody that is gonna bring some
- 13:25Speaker 4: speed to the room.
- 13:27Speaker 3: That's gonna be a fourth receiver or something like that
- 13:29Speaker 3: down the line. At worst, I would say.
- 13:31Speaker 4: But I'd understand that people are like trying to find
- 13:34Speaker 4: a little like what's the little minutia that's gonna win
- 13:37Speaker 4: this game. The Patriots offensively, especially in the playoffs, have
- 13:41Speaker 4: really rolled with their guys like it's been Booty Diggs,
- 13:46Speaker 4: you know. Obviously now MATC Collins is back form, Andre Stevenson,
- 13:50Speaker 4: Hunter Henry like that, And I I don't know if
- 13:52Speaker 4: all of a sudden, Pop Douglas or Kyle Williams is
- 13:55Speaker 4: gonna play seventy Snaps on Sunday and get all this
- 13:58Speaker 4: volume to have, you know.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Games like that that maybe you're.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Expecting, like if they're gonna hit plays down in the field,
- 14:04Speaker 4: I fully expect him to beat the booty, Like I
- 14:06Speaker 4: think that's that's the guy who's.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Been doing it all year.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I would agree, Uh, let's go, Sabah is going to
- 14:12Speaker 2: give it another shot.
- 14:13Speaker 15: What's up, hey, guys, I'm sorry. She is single on
- 14:19Speaker 15: my end, so I thought you guys hung up, So
- 14:21Speaker 15: I apologize that I am not sawing you.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Whoever that is, well, that's that's Evan's mother in law.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's true.
- 14:28Speaker 4: You sound just like her, and you're from the Carolinas
- 14:31Speaker 4: and you're a Redskins fan, and it was adding up.
- 14:33Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I apologize.
- 14:36Speaker 15: Yeah, And there wait a minute, and you act like
- 14:37Speaker 15: it's unusual for Redskins fans to call the team the Redskins.
- 14:41Speaker 15: Nobody calls in the seas, that's the Redskins fans, nobody.
- 14:45Speaker 9: Okay, unusual.
- 14:47Speaker 3: I adn't saying it was unusual, but it was.
- 14:50Speaker 2: It was kind of a coincidence that his mother in
- 14:53Speaker 2: law is from North Carolina. She sounds like you, and
- 14:56Speaker 2: she's a.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Redskins fan but also pulls for the Patriots because his
- 15:00Speaker 4: dad as a Patriots said, and so it's it was
- 15:02Speaker 4: all fling.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Up, So it was it was kind of weird.
- 15:05Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, I.
- 15:06Speaker 16: Spent it is.
- 15:08Speaker 15: I did spend eight years up there and you masked
- 15:10Speaker 15: and with that did my reside up there, and I
- 15:11Speaker 15: became a Red Sox fan. So I didn't really left
- 15:16Speaker 15: onto the Patriots quite quite yet, but I'm I'm leaning
- 15:19Speaker 15: toward there for Drake may so I did I do
- 15:21Speaker 15: know how to say like talk the kid the eye and.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Yeah, but it don't belong.
- 15:28Speaker 15: Yeah, But anyway about the game, So, okay, I think
- 15:34Speaker 15: that the first of all, this Williams guy, I don't
- 15:36Speaker 15: trust him as far as I can throw him. He
- 15:38Speaker 15: if it's a choice route, he makes the wrong choice.
- 15:40Speaker 15: So I don't want him anywhere unless wide open, down deep.
- 15:44Speaker 15: If it's any contest, the defender will come down with ball. Okay,
- 15:48Speaker 15: all right, then Holland mac Hollins may be the unsung
- 15:52Speaker 15: hero and the guitar hill look out for him. Okay,
- 15:56Speaker 15: And it happened. Why can't they.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Huhne I said that. I think that's a good pick.
- 16:02Speaker 5: I agree with you, Ed, Yeah.
- 16:05Speaker 15: Okay, thank you. And then also I want Drake May
- 16:08Speaker 15: Why do y'all not do the sprint right to protect
- 16:11Speaker 15: the left side of the line, make the defenders run
- 16:14Speaker 15: further to go catch dray and and or Boots to
- 16:17Speaker 15: go to the right, or do some read option where
- 16:19Speaker 15: he fakes like he's gonna run and then he just
- 16:21Speaker 15: pops up and throws it. Because I think that's a
- 16:23Speaker 15: really great weapon, and you could ignore the left side
- 16:25Speaker 15: of the line. If you guys do that, I'm predicting twenty
- 16:29Speaker 15: four twenty a Super Bowl win.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I love it, said Bob, where do you take all
- 16:33Speaker 2: your football dollarge from? Because you sound like a real
- 16:36Speaker 2: ball lower.
- 16:38Speaker 15: Well. I became a Redskin fan when I was five
- 16:41Speaker 15: years old. I was born raised Rocking Mount in North Carolina,
- 16:43Speaker 15: so that was three hours away from DC. Used to
- 16:45Speaker 15: go visit my grandparents and my uncle. He was a
- 16:47Speaker 15: big hit jack carpet, you know, in his car on
- 16:51Speaker 15: the steering wheel and everything. And that's how I became
- 16:53Speaker 15: a big Redskin fan. And I just loved them. And
- 16:55Speaker 15: now that they're the seas is like a death in
- 16:58Speaker 15: the family. I can by no with that junk on it.
- 17:01Speaker 15: So I'm just lost. I feel like I have a
- 17:04Speaker 15: missing child and I don't know. I know where they're
- 17:07Speaker 15: at and they're in jail.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Well I can adopt the Patriots and.
- 17:12Speaker 15: Oh, I am, I am, and I'm this. I bought
- 17:14Speaker 15: a drape Mae jersey. I'm gonna be wearing it for
- 17:16Speaker 15: super But I haven't brought myself to buy a Patriot jersey.
- 17:19Speaker 17: I bought a.
- 17:20Speaker 15: Drape Nate Carolina jersey. So I haven't jumped the gun
- 17:24Speaker 15: quite yet. And it's not ready. It's almost like I'm
- 17:26Speaker 15: almost going through a divorce. But I still love the
- 17:29Speaker 15: first love, you know what I mean?
- 17:31Speaker 2: All Right, Well, thank you for calling you? All right?
- 17:35Speaker 3: You never forget your Yeah, she's very smart.
- 17:38Speaker 7: I hope she keeps calling it. She could.
- 17:40Speaker 6: She is on a fast track to my favorite caller
- 17:43Speaker 6: of all time on the SHOWFA.
- 17:45Speaker 2: But let's talk about what she said. Do we need
- 17:48Speaker 2: to us Drake may more in movement option.
- 17:53Speaker 4: I think they've tried it all year with the bootlegs
- 17:56Speaker 4: and they haven't been very productive on them. To be
- 17:58Speaker 4: honest with you they work earlier on in the season.
- 18:01Speaker 4: That Miami game comes to mind in Week two where
- 18:04Speaker 4: they kind of brought out a lot of them and
- 18:05Speaker 4: it really worked. They haven't had a lot of success
- 18:08Speaker 4: with them, you know. I know he got the naked
- 18:11Speaker 4: on the on the third down conversion in the AC
- 18:14Speaker 4: Championship game, but they ran one earlier.
- 18:16Speaker 3: He took like a fifteen yard sack on it.
- 18:18Speaker 4: You know, they just I think the biggest thing with
- 18:20Speaker 4: those is that it's got to be like systemic, Like
- 18:23Speaker 4: you have to run the outside zone play and that
- 18:27Speaker 4: has to be the foundation of your offense, and like
- 18:30Speaker 4: it has to be outside zone, outside zone, outside zone,
- 18:32Speaker 4: and you really have to set it up and have
- 18:35Speaker 4: it be part of the system that you run. And
- 18:37Speaker 4: that's just not really a hallmark of the Josh McDaniels.
- 18:42Speaker 3: System is that type of play.
- 18:43Speaker 4: So every time they seem to do it, it seems like
- 18:46Speaker 4: the defense it's telegraphed, the defense kind of knows it's coming,
- 18:51Speaker 4: and it's not been as productive as I would want
- 18:54Speaker 4: it to because it's such a in theory, it's such
- 18:56Speaker 4: a great idea that should be a weapon for Drake May.
- 18:59Speaker 4: They have done it a little bit, but it hasn't
- 19:00Speaker 4: been overly successful.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Chris wants to know. Are we doing a show tomorrow?
- 19:05Speaker 2: We are. We're on a Friday, a special Friday show,
- 19:07Speaker 2: so we'll be here for another four hours tomorrow, starting
- 19:11Speaker 2: at one o'clock East every time. So thanks for reminding
- 19:16Speaker 2: me to remind everyone else.
- 19:17Speaker 6: I thought some about nailed it on Kyle Williams too,
- 19:19Speaker 6: saying you chooses the wrong way on the choice s
- 19:20Speaker 6: roots something.
- 19:21Speaker 3: That it has a choice going to make the wrong choice.
- 19:25Speaker 7: She's really good.
- 19:26Speaker 6: But that goes right back to what we were just
- 19:27Speaker 6: talking about, you know, And do you detail who steps up?
- 19:31Speaker 18: You know?
- 19:31Speaker 6: I talked about how everybody's kind of contributed at times,
- 19:35Speaker 6: But who do you feel the best about in this game?
- 19:36Speaker 6: Do you feel the best about Digs or do you
- 19:38Speaker 6: feel the best about something like Williams or Douglas one
- 19:42Speaker 6: of those guys stepping up and having impactful performance.
- 19:45Speaker 4: I do feel like I kind of hope that that
- 19:47Speaker 4: Diggs and Hunter Henry can get going a little bit
- 19:49Speaker 4: in this because they played so much Zone Seattle, and
- 19:51Speaker 4: you know, can you can you get back to having
- 19:53Speaker 4: them settle in voids and things like that, and and
- 19:56Speaker 4: maybe Drake May's legs or extending.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Plays or moving around in the pocket.
- 20:00Speaker 4: It gives them that extra time to find those soft
- 20:03Speaker 4: spots in those zones. You know, I think that that's
- 20:07Speaker 4: more this kind of game than maybe what they especially
- 20:10Speaker 4: what they played in Denver, which is a big man
- 20:12Speaker 4: coverage defense and plays a ton of man.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Do you think that one of the things that is
- 20:16Speaker 2: hurting the Patriots offensive late is that teams are in
- 20:19Speaker 2: fact game planning to take Digs out. Yeah, and May
- 20:24Speaker 2: isn't yet ready to be able to be that ball distributor. Now,
- 20:28Speaker 2: part of it could be not his fault, you know,
- 20:30Speaker 2: guy's not getting open or whatever, but not being able
- 20:34Speaker 2: to you know, focus on other players when Digs is
- 20:37Speaker 2: being taken out is kind of hurting this team. Yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 4: I absolutely think that in the playoffs, Diggs has seen
- 20:43Speaker 4: the kitchen sink of number one receiver attention, whether it's
- 20:47Speaker 4: getting traveled with the best corner or double teams or
- 20:50Speaker 4: bracket coverage or whatever. And I think one of the
- 20:53Speaker 4: biggest things with it is that, you know, he's one
- 20:55Speaker 4: of those types of receivers that wants to run a
- 20:57Speaker 4: lot of you know, horizontal breaking routes where he's got
- 21:00Speaker 4: an option at the top of the route to break
- 21:02Speaker 4: in or out at the top, and so they're what
- 21:05Speaker 4: they're doing is they're just bracketing him. They're putting one
- 21:07Speaker 4: guy on the outside, they're putting one guy on the inside.
- 21:10Speaker 4: And then so he gets to the top of the
- 21:12Speaker 4: route and there's no place for him to go. And
- 21:14Speaker 4: the one thing that you kind of counter that with
- 21:18Speaker 4: js N's actually fantastic at is just running right up
- 21:21Speaker 4: the field and splitting the two guys. At this stage
- 21:24Speaker 4: of his career, does Digs have the afterburners to really
- 21:27Speaker 4: run by people.
- 21:28Speaker 3: In that respect?
- 21:29Speaker 4: So, you know, I think that that's the biggest thing
- 21:32Speaker 4: that I've seen. You know, maybe not as much with
- 21:35Speaker 4: Hunter Henry, but with Diggs on third down, he's getting
- 21:38Speaker 4: all sorts of extra attention.
- 21:40Speaker 3: So you know, if you're Drake may, do you just
- 21:42Speaker 3: go elsewhere with it?
- 21:43Speaker 4: Or you know, do you stick on Stefan Diggs and
- 21:46Speaker 4: trust him to get open?
- 21:47Speaker 2: Yep, Darius writes in thoughts on Henderson and Marcus returning kickoffs.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Also my Super Bowl prediction, Stefan Diggs leads both teams
- 21:55Speaker 2: and receiving yards. Got a feeling he'll have a big game. Well,
- 21:58Speaker 2: I hope you're right. What do you think about pairing
- 22:01Speaker 2: Henderson and Marcus back there? I mean, neither one of
- 22:04Speaker 2: them really returned kicks so far this season. Henderson did
- 22:08Speaker 2: until they got the injuries at running back right right,
- 22:11Speaker 2: But they haven't had Marcus Jones return kicks with this
- 22:15Speaker 2: new style.
- 22:16Speaker 5: I think the physicality sort of worries them a little bit.
- 22:20Speaker 5: I wouldn't be shocked. And Evan's been calling for the
- 22:22Speaker 5: return for Henderson for a couple of weeks. That would
- 22:25Speaker 5: not shock me. You know, we're in the super Bowl.
- 22:26Speaker 5: We're gonna you know, and to have him back there.
- 22:28Speaker 3: I don't understand why they haven't been doing it all playoffs? Yea,
- 22:31Speaker 3: what are you playing for?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Like this?
- 22:32Speaker 3: I agree that did you win or go home? Right?
- 22:34Speaker 4: Like he's you gotta find ways and look, he's struggling
- 22:38Speaker 4: in terms of the traditional offensive plays in the run
- 22:41Speaker 4: game right now, but you have to find a handful
- 22:43Speaker 4: of ways of game to get him involved and get
- 22:45Speaker 4: the ball in his hands, whether that's kickoff returns, throwing
- 22:48Speaker 4: them a pass out of the backfield, whatever the case
- 22:51Speaker 4: may be. But he's too dynamic of a player in
- 22:53Speaker 4: the open field to just completely take that element out
- 22:57Speaker 4: of the offense. So whether it's kickoff returns, I've been
- 23:00Speaker 4: calling for Marcus Jones is not going to return kickoffs,
- 23:03Speaker 4: like they just don't believe. And they haven't done it
- 23:06Speaker 4: yet anyway, And you know, Springer's talked about it last year,
- 23:10Speaker 4: He's talked about.
- 23:10Speaker 3: It this year.
- 23:12Speaker 4: I mean, maybe maybe maybe if it's like, you know,
- 23:15Speaker 4: fourth quarter, they're down by seven and the game it's
- 23:18Speaker 4: literally like the super Bowl and the game is on
- 23:21Speaker 4: the line, So they might put him back there.
- 23:23Speaker 3: But it have to be some sort of scenario.
- 23:25Speaker 5: You know, So let's piggyback on that you guys were
- 23:28Speaker 5: talking about. Maybe this is a little bit less of
- 23:31Speaker 5: a Marcus Jones game traditionally defensively, I wonder if maybe
- 23:34Speaker 5: they look at that, as you know, he's not going
- 23:36Speaker 5: to be near one hundred percent on plays in this
- 23:39Speaker 5: game because of the way Seattle plays, So maybe do
- 23:42Speaker 5: they look at that and say, well, let's make up
- 23:44Speaker 5: a couple of his snaps and see if we can
- 23:46Speaker 5: catch lightning in a bottle and get a big play.
- 23:48Speaker 7: I thought the same thing. I mean, you wonder if
- 23:49Speaker 7: that might require them to be trailing and you're.
- 23:52Speaker 3: A little bit desperate like Devins scenario.
- 23:55Speaker 7: Yeah, but yeah, yeah, I could see it.
- 23:57Speaker 3: I mean I.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Have to agree with it, and you know, and I
- 24:01Speaker 5: actually have asked about that a couple of times and
- 24:04Speaker 5: I got it's the same kind of thing. They just
- 24:07Speaker 5: I don't really think that they believe his style is
- 24:12Speaker 5: conducive to this kick.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I don't.
- 24:14Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not an expert in football, obviously, I
- 24:16Speaker 5: don't understand it. Like I think, you get a dynamic guy,
- 24:19Speaker 5: and you get an opportunity to.
- 24:22Speaker 3: To make the other team tackle an elusive player.
- 24:25Speaker 5: I think you should welcome as many opportunities to do
- 24:28Speaker 5: that as you can.
- 24:29Speaker 3: I don't really understand it. Yeah, I haven't given them
- 24:31Speaker 3: a job.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I think that, you know, eighty percent of it is durability, right,
- 24:36Speaker 4: and his importance over the course of the season in
- 24:39Speaker 4: other areas. But I think that the stylistic thing. You know,
- 24:44Speaker 4: when you think of kickoff returners, you think of like
- 24:46Speaker 4: Cordero Patterson, right, guys that have an excellent runaway speed,
- 24:50Speaker 4: like straight line speed. The other thing about this kind
- 24:53Speaker 4: of play, the way that they've changed it, it's essentially
- 24:56Speaker 4: a running play, like you're you're really just reading the
- 24:59Speaker 4: line of scrimmage and five in the cleanest entry point
- 25:01Speaker 4: like he would on the run.
- 25:02Speaker 3: And so it's not the same.
- 25:04Speaker 4: You know, punt returning is much more of a quickness
- 25:06Speaker 4: elusiveness type of skill set, whereas this is much more
- 25:10Speaker 4: of hit the hole and go type of skill set.
- 25:12Speaker 4: I'm not saying Marcus Jones doesn't have great speed, but
- 25:15Speaker 4: he's definitely more jitterbug.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Than he is.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Like, yeah, right right, and you know this is much
- 25:21Speaker 4: more You're gonna hit a runway and you're gonna try
- 25:24Speaker 4: to hit that runway as fast as you possibly can.
- 25:26Speaker 7: I mean, what better way to end the season?
- 25:28Speaker 6: We started what was the very first play of the
- 25:30Speaker 6: seasons preseason?
- 25:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, how about that's the one I I, for
- 25:34Speaker 4: the life of me, I cannot figure out Like Ramandra
- 25:37Speaker 4: Stevenson's playing sixty of the sixty four snaps on offense anyways,
- 25:41Speaker 4: So if he gets his bell rung on a kickoff return,
- 25:43Speaker 4: he wasn't playing on offense either way.
- 25:46Speaker 3: So like what, you know, I wondering about fumbles. It
- 25:50Speaker 3: could be.
- 25:51Speaker 4: I don't think he's but when but when you play
- 25:54Speaker 4: in games like this right where you know you have
- 25:56Speaker 4: you have seven points against Denver in the third quarter,
- 25:59Speaker 4: and you're struggling to score offensively.
- 26:02Speaker 3: I mean these are something yeah, right exactly.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Joel and Otawa. From a game plan perspective, is it
- 26:08Speaker 2: possible for the Patriots to employ a similar game plan
- 26:11Speaker 2: that Belichick did as defensive coordinator of the Giants against
- 26:14Speaker 2: the Bills, where he allowed them to run but wouldn't
- 26:17Speaker 2: let Kelly win with his arm. This would allow the
- 26:19Speaker 2: play action to be less effective and put more players
- 26:22Speaker 2: in coverage, possibly ruining the mesh of run in pass action.
- 26:27Speaker 7: I'm going to tee up and I think that's what
- 26:28Speaker 7: you already said.
- 26:29Speaker 6: It's they want to stay in nickel and that's I
- 26:31Speaker 6: think essentially what.
- 26:33Speaker 4: I would not dare them to run the ball. I
- 26:35Speaker 4: think that's what they want to do. Yeah, And I
- 26:37Speaker 4: think Kenneth Walker run for two hundred if you do
- 26:39Speaker 4: that well.
- 26:40Speaker 5: And the difference Beteen and I understand his comparison. The
- 26:43Speaker 5: difference is Buffalo didn't want to run the ball. The
- 26:46Speaker 5: Rams didn't want to beat the Patriots by running the
- 26:48Speaker 5: ball with Marshall Falk, they didn't want.
- 26:50Speaker 3: To play like that.
- 26:50Speaker 5: They were passing oriented offenses and they were frustrated when
- 26:55Speaker 5: they couldn't throw as well as they normally would. This
- 26:58Speaker 5: is a team that'd be more than content to do
- 27:00Speaker 5: what they want to do. We only have to have
- 27:02Speaker 5: Donald throw the ball fifteen times in this game.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Sign me up now to the email, just to help
- 27:06Speaker 4: the email. I would do the opposite right like I would.
- 27:09Speaker 4: First down is a rundown to me for the Patriots,
- 27:12Speaker 4: and I would do everything that I can to stop
- 27:14Speaker 4: Kenneth Walker on first down because I want Sam Donald
- 27:17Speaker 4: to be in second and nine. I want him to
- 27:19Speaker 4: live in second and third and eight, like that's where
- 27:21Speaker 4: I want this offense to be. If you asked this
- 27:24Speaker 4: offense to just kind of lean on you in the
- 27:25Speaker 4: run game, you're never going.
- 27:26Speaker 3: To see the ball. They're they're gonna be able to
- 27:28Speaker 3: possess it the entire game.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Let's see, let's go back to the phones. Who are
- 27:37Speaker 2: we looking at. We're looking at Brad in Ohio. What's up, Brad?
- 27:42Speaker 18: Yes?
- 27:43Speaker 3: Hey, Brad?
- 27:44Speaker 19: Hello?
- 27:45Speaker 2: Hello?
- 27:47Speaker 3: Okay, hello, Yes, you're on we can hear you.
- 27:54Speaker 7: You're on the air.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Hear me, Yes, we can hear you.
- 27:59Speaker 2: I think Brad is yeah. All right, Let's go to
- 28:05Speaker 2: Brett in Niagara falls. What's up?
- 28:08Speaker 7: Brett?
- 28:10Speaker 2: Hi?
- 28:10Speaker 20: Can you guys hear me?
- 28:11Speaker 2: Sure? Ken?
- 28:12Speaker 7: Do you know Bar's girlfriend?
- 28:16Speaker 3: No?
- 28:21Speaker 20: Yeah, you would never called in. And I just wanted
- 28:31Speaker 20: to thank you guys for the show and uh, you know,
- 28:34Speaker 20: keep me entertained over the years. I'll leave you with
- 28:37Speaker 20: a quick question. Okay, if you were to have one
- 28:40Speaker 20: Patriots player not named Tom Brady from any previous team,
- 28:44Speaker 20: who would it be? Thanks, have a good day.
- 28:48Speaker 5: If we could have one Patriots player from I always
- 28:51Speaker 5: answered the same and say I'm a homer, say Andre Tippett.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I go back and forth on this one. It's
- 28:58Speaker 4: between Randy Moss and Gronk. Yeah, I always like, I
- 29:01Speaker 4: always lean maybe slightly towards Randy Moss because of just
- 29:04Speaker 4: how good Drake May's deep ball is, like Drake made.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Throwing bombs to Randy Moss would be ridiculous. But I
- 29:11Speaker 4: just have a saucepot for Gronk. So it's a tough one.
- 29:14Speaker 7: I mean, I go Gronk, I go Gronk.
- 29:16Speaker 2: But tip it's a good one too, because I think
- 29:18Speaker 2: his game transfers.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I mean they and they need that.
- 29:21Speaker 2: They don't have it exactly. I mean, imagine someone tippets,
- 29:27Speaker 2: talent on the edge, just creating havoc.
- 29:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I think he'd be unstoppable, terrifying.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Yeah, oh the good answer, good answer, But I think
- 29:38Speaker 2: all three of them are good answers. Yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 4: I just want to see Drake throw a deep ball
- 29:42Speaker 4: the prime Randy Moss, that would be great.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Or having Gronk, you know, having that that quarterback's best friend,
- 29:48Speaker 2: being Gronk, I.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Think one of the more valuable things in the The
- 29:51Speaker 4: Seahawks have a good one in a j.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Barner.
- 29:54Speaker 4: The the blocking tight end is back in vogue.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I would say a lot.
- 29:58Speaker 4: And you know that's something not again, no disrespect meant
- 30:02Speaker 4: to Hunter Henry, but this offseason, I think it's it's
- 30:05Speaker 4: an area of the roster that could use.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Some freshening up. You know. I think they need a
- 30:10Speaker 3: guy that maybe.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Is a little bit better blocker and you know, a
- 30:14Speaker 4: little bit better receiver than Hooper, a little bit better
- 30:16Speaker 4: blocker than Henry. Yeah, it's just very valuable nowadays with
- 30:21Speaker 4: all these offenses trying to get teams into base defense.
- 30:25Speaker 4: To have a guy that can really block is extremely
- 30:27Speaker 4: valuable in the league nowadays.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Eric and fort Meade, are you as you are reading this.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I'm listening to yesterday's show, and I just heard Fred's
- 30:35Speaker 2: prediction of Milton Williams a Super Bowl MVP. I respectfully disagree.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Last week, I had a hunch, a notion, maybe even
- 30:43Speaker 2: a vision, that if the Patriots win, the MVP will
- 30:46Speaker 2: set Paul's heart a flutter. Marcus Jones will have at
- 30:50Speaker 2: least one interception and will excel in the return game.
- 30:53Speaker 2: He will score a touchdown, but I do not know
- 30:55Speaker 2: if it will be via a pick or a putt return.
- 30:58Speaker 2: The football gods did not see to let me know.
- 31:02Speaker 2: So that's the second person that thought that Marcus Jones
- 31:04Speaker 2: could be the guy.
- 31:05Speaker 5: I think Marcus Jones is a good outside the box
- 31:08Speaker 5: pick for obvious reasons. He's a guy who can score
- 31:11Speaker 5: a defensive touchdown. He could score a special teams touchdown?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yep, yep, what.
- 31:15Speaker 7: About an offensive touchdown? What about that?
- 31:17Speaker 3: For the time, So is that the wrinkle that we
- 31:20Speaker 3: haven't seen?
- 31:21Speaker 2: I mean, the problem is, though, if Marcus Jones enters
- 31:23Speaker 2: the game, it's like.
- 31:26Speaker 5: But that's been the problem, Like every time he's entered
- 31:28Speaker 5: the game, and every time he has entered the game,
- 31:30Speaker 5: he has done something.
- 31:31Speaker 2: That's in the past. Now that was like three years ago,
- 31:36Speaker 2: So why does it stop because now it's not like people.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Like stopped it and then they stopped doing it.
- 31:41Speaker 5: I mean last year's coaching staff wasn't aware that he
- 31:44Speaker 5: played offense, so we didn't get to see it a
- 31:45Speaker 5: lot last year.
- 31:47Speaker 7: I don't bring that up, please.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the subject. Yeah, but I mean it is
- 31:51Speaker 4: what it is. I mean, after last night, we need.
- 31:55Speaker 5: Like when he went into the game back two years ago,
- 31:58Speaker 5: I know, you they throw a quick screen to him
- 32:00Speaker 5: against Buffalo, he goes fifty a touchdown, Like you don't
- 32:03Speaker 5: think it was alert?
- 32:04Speaker 3: Alert mecha, march Stones is in the game, and then
- 32:06Speaker 3: they start that's not doing it now.
- 32:08Speaker 4: That one against Buffalo, I do think kind of caught
- 32:10Speaker 4: them by surprise because he had never done it before, right,
- 32:12Speaker 4: But but that was he had never done it before.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Now he's done it before, you know, I do.
- 32:18Speaker 4: I would say after that, they they kind of did
- 32:21Speaker 4: start to use him as a decoy a little bit
- 32:22Speaker 4: where they would put him on the fields and throw
- 32:25Speaker 4: the ball elsewhere. But that you would have to have
- 32:28Speaker 4: set up over the course of a season, you know,
- 32:30Speaker 4: or maybe even in this game, right, so you know,
- 32:33Speaker 4: I think that that that's scorning more on Paul's side
- 32:35Speaker 4: of the street, where since they haven't done it all year,
- 32:38Speaker 4: if you do put him on the field, it's going
- 32:41Speaker 4: to be it's probably.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Gonna be a touch for Marcus Jones.
- 32:44Speaker 4: And you know, maybe they do it once early on
- 32:47Speaker 4: in the game and he doesn't get the ball and
- 32:49Speaker 4: so that they can come back to it later or
- 32:50Speaker 4: something like that.
- 32:51Speaker 3: But you know, all those little things that.
- 32:56Speaker 4: You kind of know, and I think, you know, one
- 32:57Speaker 4: of the cool things about the Super Bowl. We get
- 33:00Speaker 4: to talk to all the coaches during media availability now
- 33:04Speaker 4: and they they do open up about a lot of
- 33:06Speaker 4: the schematic stuff because it's all on tape at this point,
- 33:08Speaker 4: Like there's not a lot of secrets that anymore. But
- 33:11Speaker 4: there's always like counters to your base plays, like what
- 33:15Speaker 4: are the plays that protect your base plays? And I
- 33:17Speaker 4: don't know if they've done quite as much as I
- 33:20Speaker 4: expected them to do. Like we always run this one
- 33:23Speaker 4: passing concept, but this time it's gonna be just a
- 33:26Speaker 4: little bit different than it normally is.
- 33:27Speaker 3: And I'm waiting for.
- 33:29Speaker 4: That side of Josh McDaniels to come out where you know,
- 33:32Speaker 4: we're gonna run stick and then you know it's gonna
- 33:34Speaker 4: be a double move, I like right or something like that,
- 33:37Speaker 4: and I would expect a little bit of that in
- 33:39Speaker 4: this game as well.
- 33:41Speaker 2: David formerly of Rhode Island. I don't want to be in, Eric,
- 33:44Speaker 2: but the correct pronunciation of the convention center you're in
- 33:47Speaker 2: is Moscone.
- 33:50Speaker 3: That's what we've been calling it all week, and then
- 33:51Speaker 3: we got on the air.
- 33:52Speaker 5: You keep calling it Moscone, I do, but you you're
- 33:55Speaker 5: the one that told me was mosconeh because I've been
- 33:57Speaker 5: calling it Willie Moscone Center.
- 33:59Speaker 7: The one who knows me.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Why why your native.
- 34:05Speaker 7: It's in your native tongue.
- 34:07Speaker 2: A local tip if you want a great and cheap meal,
- 34:09Speaker 2: head to two Lawn on Sixth Avenue in Market, a
- 34:13Speaker 2: hole in the wall Vietnamese joint.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I like funny dues. He's tickling my fancy today.
- 34:18Speaker 7: I'm glad you got that.
- 34:18Speaker 21: I want to know.
- 34:19Speaker 7: I just had to let that one rip.
- 34:21Speaker 3: I still don't understand.
- 34:23Speaker 7: So which movie was it, Paul?
- 34:25Speaker 5: It was Sixteen Candles and no one knew Anthony Michael
- 34:29Speaker 5: Hall's girlfriend because she was you know, she's a liver.
- 34:32Speaker 12: On it.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Exists?
- 34:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Eric, and which Phill Maine says, fred I took
- 34:40Speaker 2: your advice and I put five dollars that Milton Williams
- 34:42Speaker 2: wins m VP for Super Bowl. That happens, I'll win
- 34:45Speaker 2: one fifteen dollars.
- 34:48Speaker 3: And Freddie's gonna need a little taste.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll let you pick which game I take my
- 34:51Speaker 2: family to next year with the money. The Patrons need
- 34:54Speaker 2: to win or we'll never hear the end of Drake
- 34:56Speaker 2: the schedule may What will the excuse be when the
- 35:00Speaker 2: Patriots win? It'll be Sharbonna's out there, quarterbacks out yeah safe.
- 35:08Speaker 7: Yeah, he got hit by a bus.
- 35:09Speaker 21: Sounds like there's no.
- 35:11Speaker 5: Preoccupation like a Patriots fan's preoccupation to what are they
- 35:14Speaker 5: going to say after we win this one?
- 35:17Speaker 3: Every single week.
- 35:19Speaker 7: Sam Donald's arm fell off.
- 35:20Speaker 3: All right, don't you know what I did? They're gonna
- 35:22Speaker 3: say the Patriots are champions again, and.

- 45:41Speaker 2: As it gets closer, the jitters as a fan are
- 45:43Speaker 2: getting closer as well, and I'm feeling better about this game.
- 45:47Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys saw me to chimes
- 45:49Speaker 2: take Daryan Olafsky to school on first take this morning
- 45:53Speaker 2: about Drake's MVP Candiacy. But it was hilarious.
- 45:57Speaker 4: Oh I've heard, I've heard that she did well, and
- 46:00Speaker 4: her debate that she was very worried about. And then
- 46:02Speaker 4: I also heard that dan Orlovsky uh started to get
- 46:06Speaker 4: upset because she had him in a corner and like
- 46:09Speaker 4: so he started to, you know, get defensive and get
- 46:12Speaker 4: angry about it because she was making him look bad.
- 46:14Speaker 3: I love it, and I haven't watched.
- 46:16Speaker 4: It yet though, because we've been any credit for that.
- 46:19Speaker 4: I feel like I feel like I feel like we
- 46:21Speaker 4: prepped her. I mean, not to be that guy. I
- 46:23Speaker 4: feel like I deserve maybe.
- 46:24Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 46:26Speaker 3: She's always asking me for my opinion on things. But no,
- 46:30Speaker 3: she was very worried about that. She told me that
- 46:32Speaker 3: she said.
- 46:32Speaker 7: That they had like a stage debate or something.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Yes, they had behind podiums, you know, because they actually
- 46:38Speaker 4: like have like you know, pre production meetings and show
- 46:42Speaker 4: run downs and plans on Honors Night day, they were gonna,
- 46:46Speaker 4: you know, debate them.
- 46:47Speaker 2: I'd love I'd love if we could find that to
- 46:49Speaker 2: play it. Uh, if they put it online anywhere I.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Do believe it is I could. I could maybe we can.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Maybe we could get that on air that send it
- 46:56Speaker 2: to ACE the one to send on That would be great,
- 46:59Speaker 2: all right, I want to see that Paul in the
- 47:01Speaker 2: Colony says, thanks for the great content, but please stop
- 47:05Speaker 2: taking newbie callers. They are bringing us all down. Other

- 47:12Speaker 2: hear from Melvin Chester and Eldridge Andy from Attleborough.

- 47:32Speaker 5: you know, some some good debates.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I led.
- 47:36Speaker 3: I think the the listeners have been they brought it.
- 47:40Speaker 2: They're ready for the super Bowl.

- 49:07Speaker 37: the Patrio're gonna get blown out in Seattle, so great
- 49:10Speaker 37: this and that, and little by little we've been doing
- 49:13Speaker 37: our patriot things creeping into their mind because questions have
- 49:16Speaker 37: been coming in. Oh maybe this matchup and this matchup
- 49:19Speaker 37: we'll get. And so for me, my final matchup speak
- 49:23Speaker 37: for this game is.
- 49:24Speaker 10: The reasonably win this game thirty one to seventeen is
- 49:27Speaker 10: because we have the two best or tops interior rushers
- 49:32Speaker 10: against the two worst interior offensive linemen. I don't care
- 49:36Speaker 10: how good of a quarterback you are, pressure up the
- 49:39Speaker 10: middle can change the game. So that's why I think
- 49:41Speaker 10: we're gonna, We're gonna, We're gonna, we're gonna win. And
- 49:44Speaker 10: here's my dilima. You guys, I have a question to
- 49:46Speaker 10: ask you because I'm just about the head up to
- 49:48Speaker 10: the game. But I've had an offer made to me.
- 49:50Speaker 10: Here was the offer. I give them my ticket for
- 49:53Speaker 10: this year's Super Bowl, and I get two tickets and
- 49:58Speaker 10: a hotel overlooking the Parade route in Boston. And since
- 50:02Speaker 10: the Super Bowls and Stow Fight Stadium next year, I
- 50:05Speaker 10: get tickets to the Super Bowl next year. What would
- 50:07Speaker 10: you guys do?
- 50:08Speaker 5: Wait?
- 50:09Speaker 7: What, that's a crazy deal. I'd go to the I
- 50:14Speaker 7: don't know. I think a bird in the hand is
- 50:15Speaker 7: worth two in the bush.
- 50:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Yeah, Because there's no guarantees next year, I.
- 50:21Speaker 7: Took a lot from that seal we had the first day.
- 50:23Speaker 7: I'm trying to work in.
- 50:24Speaker 2: This, like's no guarantees next year and there's no guarantee
- 50:26Speaker 2: they win, so the whole.
- 50:27Speaker 6: Ductot thing, right, you might just trade it and then
- 50:29Speaker 6: you get Yeah, I liked I think next year, even
- 50:33Speaker 6: if they lose, I think you got to take the
- 50:34Speaker 6: bird in the hand.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks Christian. I appreciate the call.
- 50:39Speaker 4: I do agree with Christian that, uh that slowly but
- 50:42Speaker 4: surely more people are like, no, this could be a
- 50:44Speaker 4: good game, you know, and not that because it definitely
- 50:46Speaker 4: started with heavy Seattle blowout, Like that was definitely that.
- 50:50Speaker 5: You said that, because I have felt there's definitely more
- 50:55Speaker 5: Seattle love people are on Seattle. But I don't really
- 50:58Speaker 5: I haven't heard a lot of this game. It's not
- 51:00Speaker 5: going to be competitive talk.
- 51:01Speaker 3: No other than the guy that might pointed out the
- 51:04Speaker 3: very first a David Carr.
- 51:05Speaker 7: Was and there was another one too right off the other.
- 51:08Speaker 6: But but I have a question of, like what drives
- 51:10Speaker 6: the narrative in the Super Bowl, because it feels like
- 51:13Speaker 6: it's kind of recency biased for both teams and both
- 51:16Speaker 6: guys you know did but you know, Seattle had two
- 51:19Speaker 6: great games the Patriots were went in by the skin
- 51:22Speaker 6: of their teeth. Drake made didn't look like an MVP anymore.
- 51:24Speaker 2: You know.
- 51:25Speaker 6: So I just wonder if it feels like common sense
- 51:28Speaker 6: and the people, like you know, even Mina yesterday saying
- 51:30Speaker 6: have you even watched the Patriots this year, felt like
- 51:33Speaker 6: early the narrative was early on was driving just by
- 51:36Speaker 6: the playoff performances of the two teams and not the
- 51:38Speaker 6: whole body of work.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that.
- 51:43Speaker 4: My brain is telling me that Seattle is the better
- 51:45Speaker 4: team and it's probably gonna win the game. But I've
- 51:49Speaker 4: kind of thought that in multiple instances all year long,
- 51:53Speaker 4: and then this Patriots team just buy the power of
- 51:57Speaker 4: friendship or something just wins the game or may has
- 52:00Speaker 4: a great game or the defense play. I don't know,
- 52:04Speaker 4: like it just it feels like they just keep uh like,
- 52:07Speaker 4: every time I pick against him in a game like this,
- 52:10Speaker 4: they just keep winning. And so I think that's where
- 52:13Speaker 4: people are at is that they like we all are
- 52:15Speaker 4: waiting for them to look like a team that was
- 52:17Speaker 4: four and thirteen last year, and they just have it
- 52:19Speaker 4: all year long.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, lots of lots of activity.
- 52:23Speaker 7: They're not.
- 52:28Speaker 2: Jamison walked by. I see Matt Castle over there. We
- 52:31Speaker 2: got to get to get him to talk about the
- 52:33Speaker 2: Doug fluting right, absolutely.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's funny because Doug was like right across
- 52:38Speaker 3: the way.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, while we're waiting, Uh, let's go to
- 52:45Speaker 2: Keith in North Carolina. What's up? Keith?
- 52:48Speaker 17: Hey, how are you guys? It's how are you doing today?
- 52:51Speaker 3: Great?
- 52:54Speaker 2: Am I on?
- 52:55Speaker 10: There?
- 52:56Speaker 2: You are on Patriosto Phil Keith?
- 52:58Speaker 17: Yeah, sorry about that. How you guys doing? Listen? I
- 53:03Speaker 17: mean it's it's it's a total privilege to talk to
- 53:05Speaker 17: you guys all the time. I've been a lifelong Patriots
- 53:08Speaker 17: fancis the seventies. I'm fifty two years old, and you know,
- 53:13Speaker 17: I work out here in Charlotte. I'm actually working at
- 53:15Speaker 17: Spectrum right now, and everybody here is picking Seattle, of course,
- 53:20Speaker 17: except a couple of people who really don't know anything
- 53:22Speaker 17: about football, who really don't care. Well, here's my point.
- 53:26Speaker 17: I love the fact that we're underdogs right now. I
- 53:29Speaker 17: think that's a I think that's a bum plus. Let's
- 53:33Speaker 17: let's if we want to really do statistical analysis of
- 53:37Speaker 17: the Seahawks versus the Patriots, the Buccaneers went into Seattle
- 53:41Speaker 17: and beat the Seahawks.
- 53:43Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to put you on hold.
- 53:47Speaker 7: The Patriots.
- 53:49Speaker 3: We take a guy.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Are we taking calls?
- 53:56Speaker 5: As Wes Welker once called him on this very program,
- 53:58Speaker 5: that tall skindy betch Walmer.
- 54:01Speaker 3: It was the worst shot ever.
- 54:02Speaker 5: I was so.
- 54:04Speaker 3: Short, which exactly what you can't back exactly that. So, God,
- 54:08Speaker 3: what's going on?
- 54:09Speaker 2: Boys? How are you?
- 54:10Speaker 3: Guys are back? But really can't buy to be honest, Hey,
- 54:15Speaker 3: not a lot of people would have believed at the beginning,
- 54:17Speaker 3: but it's been a remarkable year.
- 54:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it absolutely is.
- 54:20Speaker 3: Yeah, so what are you up to?
- 54:22Speaker 2: We don't hear?
- 54:23Speaker 38: Oh here, We've got the podcast through iHeartRadio called Lots
- 54:26Speaker 38: to Say with Bobby Bones and myself and so we
- 54:28Speaker 38: just had about five five different interviews that we did.
- 54:31Speaker 38: I went over and got interviewed by Gruden, which was
- 54:34Speaker 38: a blast because he brings the energy.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Frank Kelly because he's been walking around.
- 54:38Speaker 3: He has been too.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Yeah it might have been.
- 54:40Speaker 38: I mean he does a great good gal. And then
- 54:43Speaker 38: I did some good morning football this morning. So it's
- 54:45Speaker 38: been great.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Nice.
- 54:46Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, we get to get to the bottom of
- 54:48Speaker 7: something that we learned yesterday Matt. We had Doug Flutie
- 54:50Speaker 7: on Doug and we were talking about was.
- 54:52Speaker 2: It the five? Yeah?
- 54:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:55Speaker 5: I asked him about that, and I know I've we
- 54:57Speaker 5: had you on our podcast with Matt Smith and I
- 55:00Speaker 5: you Want Pats from the Past, and we asked you
- 55:01Speaker 5: about it and you insist that that last two point
- 55:04Speaker 5: conversion you just missed the throat, right, Yeah, So I I.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Said, so, Doug, you were there, you were on the side,
- 55:11Speaker 3: and he's like, you.
- 55:11Speaker 5: Know what, like, really it was wide open, you know,
- 55:15Speaker 5: I don't know, like I I've never heard, and he goes,
- 55:18Speaker 5: but you know what, he missed that throw on Friday too,
- 55:22Speaker 5: That's what he said.
- 55:23Speaker 3: He remembered that.
- 55:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, it's like a recall. But did Bill
- 55:29Speaker 5: tell you? He said, he said, make sure you throw.
- 55:34Speaker 2: That so we can go to over overtime.
- 55:38Speaker 3: I told you.
- 55:38Speaker 23: I don't know.
- 55:39Speaker 3: I told you we wouldn't get it.
- 55:41Speaker 2: I don't know. So what do you think about this game?
- 55:42Speaker 38: It's gonna be a tremendous game. I think it's gonna
- 55:44Speaker 38: be a defensive battle first and foremost, I do. I
- 55:47Speaker 38: think the defense is the way that both of them
- 55:49Speaker 38: are playing. More specifically, the Patriots I mean, they've probably
- 55:53Speaker 38: been the best defense in the playoffs of any division
- 55:55Speaker 38: in my opinion, and I think the big thing is
- 55:58Speaker 38: going to be can the Patriots offense with stand that front.
- 56:02Speaker 38: Because they've got depth, they'll come after you a little bit,
- 56:04Speaker 38: but it's really you're going to know what coverages they're in.
- 56:07Speaker 38: And I think that's an advantage for Josh McDaniels in
- 56:09Speaker 38: terms of game planning. What I would do if I
- 56:11Speaker 38: were him, I'd go back and I'd watch those Rams
- 56:13Speaker 38: games because obviously they have familiarity with them.
- 56:16Speaker 2: They had a lot of success.
- 56:17Speaker 38: But it's going to come down to this offensive line
- 56:19Speaker 38: for the Patriots being able to block this front and
- 56:22Speaker 38: be able to play more consistently than what they have
- 56:25Speaker 38: just in the playoffs.
- 56:26Speaker 6: Matt, can you talk a little bit about just Josh's
- 56:28Speaker 6: experience in the playoffs.
- 56:29Speaker 7: That's something we've been saying is an advantage for the Patriots.
- 56:31Speaker 6: He's seen it all, He's been in all these Super
- 56:33Speaker 6: Bowls that can sometimes unfold them weird ways, Like, how
- 56:36Speaker 6: do you see that being an advantage for the Patriots
- 56:37Speaker 6: with all that Josh has been through.
- 56:39Speaker 38: Well, I think you have to expect the unexpected and
- 56:41Speaker 38: you have to be able to make consistent adjustments. And
- 56:44Speaker 38: for Josh McDaniels and his wealth of experience and what
- 56:47Speaker 38: he's been through throughout his career as in oc in
- 56:50Speaker 38: these big moments, he understands that, look, I got to
- 56:54Speaker 38: make the right call at the right time. But the
- 56:55Speaker 38: biggest part of this is going to be making those
- 56:58Speaker 38: in game adjustments because you're going to have your first fifteen,
- 57:01Speaker 38: first twenty plays that you you have raded rock and roll,
- 57:05Speaker 38: but you're some of that stuff is just setting up formationally,
- 57:08Speaker 38: okay to slot are they are they corners over or
- 57:12Speaker 38: are they going to stay in zone? So that would
- 57:14Speaker 38: tell him something, Okay, this might be a shot play
- 57:16Speaker 38: that we want to take in the second quarter. So
- 57:18Speaker 38: some of it's formational set up. Some of it's how
- 57:21Speaker 38: are they going to play us against this personnel group?
- 57:23Speaker 38: And he little by little he's just calculating all these
- 57:26Speaker 38: things in his head to now create the right play
- 57:29Speaker 38: and the right time to strike.
- 57:30Speaker 4: Yeah, Matt, you mentioned that because I've heard in the
- 57:32Speaker 4: past that you know, some coaches script the first fifteen
- 57:36Speaker 4: to just be the best fifteen plays they think in
- 57:38Speaker 4: the game plan they're can run against that defense. But John,
- 57:41Speaker 4: I've also heard that Josh kind of does it as
- 57:43Speaker 4: an information gathering you know fifteen instead of things like
- 57:47Speaker 4: that you were talking about it in your experience you
- 57:49Speaker 4: know with him. Is that true, Like does he really
- 57:52Speaker 4: kind of take that beginning part of the game to
- 57:54Speaker 4: kind of learn the opponent or is that more like
- 57:56Speaker 4: game plan scripted stuff.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Well, I think it's a little bit of both.
- 58:00Speaker 38: Right, Obviously, your stars you want to go out and
- 58:03Speaker 38: be successful, and it's something also that you've repped throughout
- 58:05Speaker 38: the week starting on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday in the prep
- 58:09Speaker 38: that you know, hey, these are our base calls to
- 58:11Speaker 38: start the game and how we want to approach it.
- 58:13Speaker 38: This is our third down to stay on the field,
- 58:15Speaker 38: so they put together. Don't get me wrong, We're not
- 58:17Speaker 38: just going out there to run plays to get information,
- 58:20Speaker 38: but it is an information gathering element to that first
- 58:24Speaker 38: fifteen because as the game unfolds, particularly into the second
- 58:28Speaker 38: quarter into the third quarter, it kind of sets in. Right,
- 58:30Speaker 38: they're playing their fronts, You're starting to see certain blitzes.
- 58:34Speaker 38: Are they going to be a blitz that they run
- 58:36Speaker 38: a second time? And then you start to understand the
- 58:39Speaker 38: personnel matchups. And that's where it's critical for coaches to
- 58:43Speaker 38: be able to now adjust and make the right call
- 58:46Speaker 38: in those situations.
- 58:47Speaker 2: So when it comes to Super Bowls in particular, do
- 58:49Speaker 2: you think the flow of Super Bowls are a little
- 58:52Speaker 2: bit different and that makes in game adjustments even more important.
- 58:56Speaker 38: Well, the flow of Super Bowls is difficult just because
- 58:58Speaker 38: you've got what a forty five minute pregame, you got
- 59:01Speaker 38: a thirty five minute halftime. We're used to fifteen minute halftimes.
- 59:03Speaker 38: You basically run in, go to the restroom, grab a
- 59:06Speaker 38: quick snack, and make subtle adjustments in your back out.
- 59:09Speaker 38: It's a long period of time, and there's that emotional
- 59:11Speaker 38: build up and that's the biggest challenge I think for
- 59:14Speaker 38: any game that of this caliber is particularly the Super Bowl,
- 59:17Speaker 38: is not getting too emotional early on, and I'm saying
- 59:22Speaker 38: being able to conserve some of that energy and allow
- 59:25Speaker 38: yourself to play your best when the third quarter comes,
- 59:27Speaker 38: because it is a long day, and you think about
- 59:30Speaker 38: it also with the TV timeouts and the amunt of
- 59:32Speaker 38: that stuff going on as well. Yeah, it's just it's
- 59:34Speaker 38: a lot of play stop, play stop, play stop, So
- 59:37Speaker 38: you've got to stay focused through that whole game, And
- 59:40Speaker 38: I've found.
- 59:40Speaker 2: That a lot of these Super Bowls, like you said,
- 59:43Speaker 2: everybody comes up, you know, they're going crazy emotionally, physically,
- 59:47Speaker 2: and then by the fourth quarter, defenses get tired, right
- 59:50Speaker 2: and you see like sometimes they start scoring in bunches
- 59:54Speaker 2: at the end.
- 59:55Speaker 38: Doesn't And that's really a lot of times what happens
- 59:58Speaker 38: even in the NFL, because you come out and both defensive.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Lines are raging.
- 1:00:03Speaker 38: They're coming out with their hair's on fire, they're cutting,
- 1:00:05Speaker 38: they're getting off the ball, and then you start running
- 1:00:08Speaker 38: the ball effectively, you start taking you they start taking punches.
- 1:00:11Speaker 38: Second quarter, they're still pretty fresh, and that also obviously
- 1:00:14Speaker 38: depends on the offense making sure you are collecting first
- 1:00:18Speaker 38: downs right, staying out on the field. But then as
- 1:00:20Speaker 38: you get to the third quarter, like anything, and you've
- 1:00:22Speaker 38: been grinded now for three quarters, and then that fourth
- 1:00:25Speaker 38: quarter comes those guys, you know they they've been through
- 1:00:29Speaker 38: through some stuff at this point, and that's when it
- 1:00:31Speaker 38: starts for the quarterback. At least you don't feel the
- 1:00:34Speaker 38: pass rushes as much. It starts to slow.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: Down and hopefully the game slow down at that point.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: In terms of processing. So do you have a prediction yeah, dude,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with the pass.
- 1:00:44Speaker 38: All right, let's go. It's gonna be a tight game.
- 1:00:46Speaker 38: But I think it's gonna be uh, let's see twenty seventeen.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Okay, there you go. All right, any words for Tom
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: because he's he says he doesn't have a dog in
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: the fight.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Wasn't talking, all right? I told you that hard.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: It's just.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: I love you, love Tommy, but I was like, are
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: you really not going for the Patriots. I know he's
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: got to be on the.
- 1:01:12Speaker 38: Political end of it because of the Fox and all
- 1:01:14Speaker 38: those and he's an owner and all those things. But
- 1:01:16Speaker 38: in his heart of hearts, I know that Tom Brady
- 1:01:18Speaker 38: is a Patriot for life and going for the Patriots.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Okay, all right, all right, man right, thanks for stopping by. Appreciated,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: all right, Matt Castle, all right, that's cool. It's good
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: to hear from Matt. I told you he wouldn't give
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: it up. I told you he would say that. That's
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: you saw it.
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: Where't necessarily you saw it in his face? Yeah.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: That eight season, though, is still like the fact that
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: team went eleven and five after after Brady gets hurt
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: in the first quarter of the first game, was I
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: think one of Bill's best coaching jobs, when of Josh
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: McDaniels is best coaching jobs.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: I mean, what did you.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: Guys think when that happened?
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: What do you like?
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: Cause you guys have seen Castle in training camp. I
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: mean we know what that's like.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Oh. I was like, you know, Brady's on, He'll be okay,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: he'll be okay, you know, because he walked off on
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: his own power.
- 1:02:04Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Oh no, but we knew, we knew he tore his No.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: I was like, no, maybe he didn't, Maybe he didn't,
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: but then he did. And you never saw him for
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: the whole season. He wasn't hanging around either.
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: We got here, Here we go.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Oh, Louis Devino, right, Hi, Louis, how you doing? You
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: look good in the headset. So my name is Fred,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: How you doing good?
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Paul? That's Mike and Evan. And you probably know more
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: about the Patriots than all of us.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Right, well, you're supposed to be a reporter.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: He's unbiased.
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: Give us some analysis.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: What do you think of Drake may I think.
- 1:02:45Speaker 39: He's a great player and he's gonna win us a
- 1:02:48Speaker 39: super Bowl.
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: There you go, nicely done, nicely done.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: So how have you What have you been doing since
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: you've been here? What is this like for you?
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: It's amazing.
- 1:03:00Speaker 39: I love like the warm weather and getting to meet
- 1:03:02Speaker 39: on their players and it was really fun to go
- 1:03:05Speaker 39: to Media Nite and get to interview people and to
- 1:03:10Speaker 39: get interviewed by so many other people.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: Did you have a favorite guy player?
- 1:03:18Speaker 39: Drake May, may On, Stefon, Digg, Swisten Dollars, Will Campbell mccollins.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: That's great. So how did you get this this job?
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: This is like every kid in the world wishes they
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: were sitting right where you're sitting. Yeah.
- 1:03:34Speaker 39: So we got this pack of cards for Christmas and
- 1:03:37Speaker 39: at the end of it there was like a sweep
- 1:03:39Speaker 39: steaks and my dad entered and like two weeks later
- 1:03:42Speaker 39: we got the like notification that we were in that
- 1:03:46Speaker 39: we were in the finals and we had a submitted video.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: And I won.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: That is awesome. Who was in that pack of cards
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: that you opened up?
- 1:03:56Speaker 13: Pretty much?
- 1:03:56Speaker 39: Drake may Stefan Daola Wow, to Laundry Stephens.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Wow, my favorite. So you're a big card collector. You
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: like the collup cards? Yeah, that's great. You collect other
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: sports too or just football?
- 1:04:13Speaker 15: Oh?
- 1:04:13Speaker 39: I play, I collect sports larst other sports, and I
- 1:04:16Speaker 39: play a lot of those sports.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Oh what do you play?
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: I play.
- 1:04:21Speaker 39: Basketball, baseball, hockey, swims, ski in flag football.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Oh wow, six sports athletes.
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: Where do you live, Westminster?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: I mean in Massachusetts, Westminster, Massachusetts.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: That's cool, west that's awesome. What position do you play
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: in flag football?
- 1:04:39Speaker 39: Oh?
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Good, good choice, good choice.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: That is really cool. I I can't imagine what it
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: must be like for you to be here because I
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: never did anything like this when I was a kid.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: I can tell you that.
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: What's the game going to be?
- 1:04:54Speaker 35: Like?
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: You're excited for the game?
- 1:04:55Speaker 39: Yeah, I'm waet excited, like the Patriots are going to
- 1:04:58Speaker 39: cost them, They're gonna crush.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Have you ever you've never been to a Super Bowl?
- 1:05:03Speaker 18: Right?
- 1:05:04Speaker 30: No?
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: So when you walk in way do you see that?
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: You're not gonna believe it.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: It's so many people, so cool, it's so cool. Excitement.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: What are you looking forward to most besides the Patriots
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: crushing this season?
- 1:05:22Speaker 39: I'm looking forward to getting interviewed more times, and the
- 1:05:26Speaker 39: Bloods tomorrow and the Super Bowl, like getting to see
- 1:05:29Speaker 39: the water tunnel and play.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, do you like bad Bunny?
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Not really, but Bunny do you know Alex Barth. That's okay,
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: maybe all right, maybe, all right, all right, listen.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: Louis, you're getting a lot of good to meet you.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: How old are you? How old are you?
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Nine?
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: Nine?
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: So I was nine years old when I went to
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: Super Bowl thirty six, when the Patriots beat the Rams
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: in two thousand and one, we were the same exis
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: act age.
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: And it's a good sign.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: I remember everything about it. It was the best day
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: of my life, besides getting married.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: She might be listening.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: It was the best day of my life. And I'm
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: telling you right now, you're gonna remember it for the
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: rest of your life, so enjoy it.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: Hit all right, Yeah, it was great to meet you, Louis.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: All right, Louis DeVito the Paniti kid reporter. Is that
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: what they call it?
- 1:06:21Speaker 39: Yes?
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: Okay, awesome, all right, Paniti is uh they make great
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: sports cards, so good collections there.
- 1:06:27Speaker 40: All right, Thanks Louis, Thanks Louis. That's okay, okay, all right,
- 1:06:32Speaker 40: that's a great of the game. All right, let me
- 1:06:36Speaker 40: some good stuff. Good stuff, Okay, you.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Can hear everything, right, it's like going to the Super Bowl.
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: The headphones great.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: Well, you know he's from good Stock. And dad's got
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: a MCUs jersey on.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: So what you forget?
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: You get your hat? Well spoken?
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: Is this kid?
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: Yea.
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: They don't let the kid reporter be just anybody.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: Paul right, that was I was not a kid reporter.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: He's got the tatums on too. Oh yeah, he's got
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: he's got the JT's. Look at this kid's just.
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: He's gonna be like that guy from the first lag.
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: Would you like to interview me?
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Hello?
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: Would you like to interview?
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: Yeah? You kidd?
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: I mean I didn't get to come into radio row,
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: but I was the exact same age.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: You know one when I Yeah, I think you would
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: have been good. You would probably breaking back, you'd be like,
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: let me tell you.
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: Where you'd be wrong.
- 1:07:24Speaker 38: Yeah.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: I still remember, like I vividly remember, you know, David
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: Patten's touchdown, the kick going through, like all of it. Yeah,
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: And I don't remember much from being nine years old,
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: but you you remember that for sure.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: And that what was the first sports event that you
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: guys have ever been to?
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: Monday Night game in nineteen seventy six for the Patriots
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: Patriots Jets.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Okay, I can't remember.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Forty one to seven Patriots win.
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: I definitely remember my first time seeing Famiway Park in
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: person and being like walking out and just being like,
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: oh my god.
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: But I went to a lot of Bruins games.
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: I wish to this day, I wish that I knew
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: all the Patriots games to me and my dad went
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: to the only I know for sure is they lost
- 1:07:59Speaker 6: to herschel Walker on over time.
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: I remember that game that I was at that one,
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: I guess, but.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: I want to say thirty four to twenty seventhing like that.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: The rest has been lost again the time My first
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: sports event was the Mets at Shea Stadium, and I
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: think Nolan Ryan was pitched as a Met.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: That'd be cool, yep, it would have been like It's like,
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: it wouldn't have been thirty fourth maybe thirty four to
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: twenty eight.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: Something like that.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: You don't kick the ash of playing it right, Okay.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: I was so young, I don't remember. I was my
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: dad's last three years.
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: I can't remember if that Patriots game that was definitely
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: the first Patriots game I ever went to. I went
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: to a lot of Red Sox games. My grandfather usued
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: to get tickets a lot, but I think that that Patriots.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Game was the first game that I went to.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: It's funny, like I don't remember the specific games, but
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: I remember the feeling of going to the stadiums, and
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: like I remember a lot of trips to the Boston Garden.
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: I remember my impression of first time going to Foxborough
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: Stadium in Fenway and all those different, you know, stadiums
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: that that would make the impact of me. I couldn't
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: even tell you what a lot of the games were,
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: at least into high school and then I remember those ones.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: My first Patriots game was Patriots Saints.
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: In the old Foxborough Stadium, like one, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: oh one that was.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: That was the Tom Brady ascension game.
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: And it was raining, I think, yeah, And I was
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: out in the stands, and I believe it was a
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: later game.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: I don't think it was a one o'clock kick, you
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: are correct, it was a four. It was a four
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: o'clock game.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: And my mom was was really like not happy that
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: I was home so late because I was I was
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: eight years old, right, and so she was like telling.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: My dad, you know, John, get him home, Like what
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: are you guys doing.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: It was like one o'clock in the morning, and I
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: had a time in my life, but I remember it
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: was pouring, like I remember it was the rains.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: So that was the game that followed.
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: They had they had played the Rams, and Bledsoe was
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: eligible to return right and he got some practice time,
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: which not really but that was sort of credited with
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: being a problem. Is Brady didn't get as many snaps
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: that week, and that was the whole Brady is the
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: quarterback for the foreseeable future.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: That's it. Yeah, he ended it. There was no more
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: to bait between Brady and Bledsoe.
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: And then that caused a huge uproar because now all
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: the Drew people in the media were like, well, what
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: do you mean he hasn't gotten a chance to practice.
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: He should get a chance to win his job back.
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: And Brady went out and lit up the Saints in
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: that reign and that was it. It was over, I think, Aaron.
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: Quarter Yeah, but by that point, Paul you had come around.
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: You were were you weren't one of the Bledsoe.
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: And I am a Bulletzer asked Fred, I, listen, you
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: could not go back based on what Brady was doing.
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: Well, I mean it's interesting because I know you, you
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: know you could be stubborn, but I don't think you'll.
- 1:10:32Speaker 6: You'll at a certain point, you're you know, it's I'm
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: extremely stub But how was it for you trying to
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: explain it to other passionate Bledsoe fans of like guys.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but did you need to tell me about Paul?
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: The thing that Paul is not stubborn about his talent.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: He likes the best talented guys. He doesn't like the
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: try hard guys.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: Brady was better.
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's like I love Drew, and Drew
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: maybe had like more raw skills, but Brady was a
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: better player.
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: It was a better quarterback, and it was apparent that
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: he was better for that tea.
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: I would say maybe three four games in, you know,
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: like the first couple of games is like, you know,
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: he's doing all right, he's a backup, and then he
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: started being you know, more responsible with the games on
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: the line for the wins as they started to rack
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: them up. He thought he played well in that Rams game, really,
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: you know, big Antwan Smith fumble at the one yard
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: line was a huge play in that game.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: They could have easily won that. You know, so I
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: didn't think it. I thought it was pretty clear.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: Yeah, he looked at that game anyway, like you look
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: at the Patriots Bills game this year of kind of
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: proving that you can like you can hang with the
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: big dogs.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: That's what Drake May said this morning. Something they keep
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: asking all the players like when did you know?
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: And and Drake made said that that winning in Buffalo
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: was like what kind of was the moment where they
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: were like, all right, we can hang with the big dogs,
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: and we can win these games and compete against the
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: top teams.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Uh, Andrew and Coronado, thanks for correcting me. Yesterday I
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: emailed in laying out why our podcast was going to
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: put us over the top, and when I mentioned us
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: being number one in muttered sarcastic comments, I meant Duce's
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: jokes that everyone seems to miss and make me laugh
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: out loud. As Paul pointed out, I should have said
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: this sneaky negativity. I started out the week expecting to lose,
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: but as usual, my ability to talk myself into anything
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: has won out, and I'm picking the Patriots. Zach Corer
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: has managed to make two good quarterbacks look incompetent in
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: the playoffs, and I think he'll do the same to
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Darnold Patriots twenty Seahawks seventeen LFG and go Patriots. I'll
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: take your comments off air.
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: If Zach Corer does that have email.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: I don't want to be like too hyperbolic, but if
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: he does that, like that's insane that he's put this together.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: Like this guy was not supposed to be calling the defense.
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: He wasn't supposed to be the defensive coordinator, and he
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: got totally forced into the role. And then you're gonna
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: tell me that they're gonna win on defense and they're
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: going to four straight playoff games like and win the
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Super Bowl. I mean, it's just crazy that his ascension
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: and how he's taken that. Rabel compared it yesterday. I
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: think it was to a player, like, you know, an
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: opportunity presents itself and you step into a roll and
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: you just take the bowl by the horns and you
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: run with it.
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: I mean, it isn't too much to say that that
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: is one of the two or three biggest keys to
- 1:13:14Speaker 7: the game.
- 1:13:14Speaker 6: Is Zach Korr somehow managing to resurrect the ghost You
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: resurrect ghosts, I don't know, you know, resurrect that that
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: kind of game plan against Sam Donald.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think one of the things that he's
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: done a really good job of is changing the picture
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: on these quarterbacks.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Like they don't sit in stagnant coverage.
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: They're in different shells, they're in demand versus zone, and
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: they're constantly just changing the picture all the time. And
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: I think when you see that for a lot of quarterbacks,
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: that's it's flustering. And Sam Darnald's one of those guys
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: that's been flustered by that before.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: Yep, Tom and New Jersey, thanks for the great coverage.
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: I just want to say I'm at peace with whatever
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: the outcome is Sunday, as long as the Patriots show
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: like they belong in the big game. Secondly, in a
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: move that would please Freddy Fields, on February ninth, twenty
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: twenty five, at ten thirty six PM, I placed a
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: bet on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl on
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: fan Duel at plus fifteen thousand dollars fifteen thousand currently
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: no cash out option available. Never thought we would be
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: here in year one, but I'm letting my ten dollars
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: bet ride the car. So for plus fifteen thousand, he
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: gets what and ten dollars he gets one hundred and
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: fifty thousand dollars. Is that right? Is that how that works?
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: I'm not, Oh, Fred, I thought you're the one with
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: the gambling book.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not. That's that's definitely not my high parts guy.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I think he's gonna win a lot of money
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: if that's good.
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: We don't know exactly how much.
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: But so little news out of Seattle. I saw a
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: quick video I just showed the boys of Imnori. I
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: can't pronounce his name, man, worry Emn worry. Yeah, walking
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: to the podium looked a little bit better than he
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: did getting out of that suv last night, going into
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: the hotel, still with a limp, I would say, a
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: pronounced limp.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: He said, he called it a scare and he is
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: going to play.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: Now, I don't know, you know how much this is
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: going to affect him or what you know? If he's
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: you want to spallin and trying to convince everybody he's okay,
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: McDonald said, it's a low ankle sprain, which is the
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: better of any of all the possibilities. So doctor Chow
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: called it an inversion, So a low ankle sprain. Per
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: doctor Chow, this is not Van Lazarre dogging. This is
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: the experts talking on this. I guess this is like
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: not necessarily a huge deal. If it was a high
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: ankle sprain or obviously something more serious like an achilles
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: or something, it would be a big deal. But most
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: of the time, like a little world ankle, you kind
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: of put some tape on it, get some treatment.
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: Little NFL news at large Field Yates, the NFL announced
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: the Rams and forty nine Ers will play the first
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: ever regular season game in Australia, thank god next year.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we've we kind of figured it'd be two West
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Coast teams. Yeah, so as long as it's not us god. Oh,
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: I mean I thought the flight out here was long.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: It's funny, like I would really like to go to Australia,
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: but I had just have no interest. Why well that
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: I have no interest in getting there? No, But like
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: why would what?
- 1:16:09Speaker 34: No?
- 1:16:09Speaker 39: What?
- 1:16:10Speaker 32: What?
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Why do you want to go to?
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: Baby?
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: You want to go to the bobby Ye, go to
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: the zoo? You want to go down on that? What's what?
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: Like?
- 1:16:19Speaker 8: What?
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Why? So why do you have to go around the
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: cut of the world.
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: I probably that's I don't want to go see it?
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: Like like I can see, like going to Italy or something,
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: because like there's like stuff to see, you know, Like
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: in Australia it's nothing.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: It's very pretty. They out back Madagascar desert.
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: He was a huge crocodile.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: He's just he's always wanted to live out whereas disrespect
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: to Australia.
- 1:16:41Speaker 5: But I don't know, you're disrespecting him a little bit.
- 1:16:44Speaker 5: I've gotta I gotta tell you, why would you want
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: to go there.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: You can't go swimming because there's white sharks everywhere.
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: You know, so like what do you do kangaroos?
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: It's a long way for a little in my opinion.
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: I mean, like, I know, Melbourne's here, like you know,
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: trying to get people to go to Australia, but like
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: there's so many other destinations in the world that I
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: think once you're there, there's like really interesting things to do.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: Like everybody all the everybody has heard that has gone
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: to Australia. What did you do?
- 1:17:15Speaker 35: Oh?
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: We drank so much? That's it. That's it.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: There's somebody in pr right now. I think.
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: I think Australia is pretty unique, though I'd like to
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: see New Zealand too.
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: I think you're gonna fly over there and try to
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: bang well New Zealand.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: At least you can see the Shire from Lord of
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: the Rings they actually happen.
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: I'm actually I was contemplating getting in an argument with
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: him and this is this is what he's coming back.
- 1:17:39Speaker 18: Dot real.
- 1:17:41Speaker 7: You got Australia. Nothing.
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: It's not on my my bucket list. But I think
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: there's more than what you're leading like, I think there's more.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: So what I don't know?
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: I'm not like I know they have the opera.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: Because you know it's okay, what's that Australia. You really
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: want to go to the opera? No, you don't, and
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: you don't want to go around the world to see
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: thee So don't tell me that's why you're going to Australia.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: I'm not an opera.
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: Yeah, Foster's and by the way, people in Australia think
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: Foster's is crap.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: They do our back to Steakhouse what is that? Which
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: is huge in Brazil?
- 1:18:13Speaker 35: What?
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:18:14Speaker 6: I read a whole thing about how out Back Steakhouse
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: is like the pinnacle of dining in Brazil. Right, No,
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: it sounds crazy, aren't they supposed to have like the
- 1:18:21Speaker 6: Brazilion steakhouses that I am really good.
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: I know, I guess the blow onion right.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: You go to the steakhouse, Teak and San Matteo. Have
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: you spent more time on the one oh one. Yeah,
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: we're doing Patriots Unfiltered.
- 1:18:38Speaker 7: Yeah, it's close.
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: Even it's close. Yeah, it hasn't been as bad. I
- 1:18:42Speaker 6: mean today we had a little accident, not us.
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: So even then it was you know, it was pretty Quickick.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: The first day was the worst day for everything.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: I'm leaving at the right time compared to you guys,
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: because I'm leaving a little bit later.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: Yeah, because it it hasn't honestly been too bad.
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: Are supposed like fifty minutes today wasn't It was?
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Well getting here, it's nothing bad. They getting home the
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: later an hour and a half to get back yesterday.
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it just depends. Like at home, it
- 1:19:05Speaker 3: depends on what he is.
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: You got to be in an uber with more than
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: one person with you, because then you get into one
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: they have the sticker that gets them into the left lane. Yeah.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: If you don't have that sticker on the left lane,
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: you're dead in the water.
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: I took the media shuttle here from media availability and
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: I'm assuming that like buses must have like their own
- 1:19:22Speaker 4: lane or something like that on the highway.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: So we kind of flew here. Obviously it wasn't that bad.
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: Has there been discussion yet on the Super Bowl experience
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: at the Moscone Center. I'm going this afternoon so I
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: can move forward tomorrow, but curious how fans have felt
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: on it.
- 1:19:36Speaker 7: We went over there.
- 1:19:37Speaker 6: They got some cool stuff. We didn't really go into
- 1:19:40Speaker 6: the whole experience. A lot of history stuff, a lot
- 1:19:42Speaker 6: of uniforms down there. We went up to the shop,
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: which had a lot of different stuff.
- 1:19:46Speaker 7: For a lot, there's a lot of merch, a lot
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: of merch.
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: They had like a Jersey Mikes thing that that Evan
- 1:19:51Speaker 6: was looking at, where you could win Jersey Mikes for life.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: I guess that's not true. Yeah, I was misinformed.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: I got, you know what, I got to share one
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: quick story. I already told the boys, but I feel
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: like it's good for the show.
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: As we were walking in this morning from breakfast, there
- 1:20:04Speaker 6: was a Seahawks fan outside and he was yelling at
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: us like, we ain't.
- 1:20:07Speaker 36: Gonna run the blo, we ain't gonna throw the ball again,
- 1:20:10Speaker 36: we ain't gonna throw the yellow. They saw Martin and
- 1:20:13Speaker 36: I was like, hey, you don't got Marshaw anymore, and
- 1:20:14Speaker 36: you go, you know what's good nature? He was kind
- 1:20:16Speaker 36: of honest and literally as we come right around the corner,
- 1:20:18Speaker 36: there's Malcolm Butler.
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: He's sitting right there, and I'm like, can we just
- 1:20:21Speaker 7: go back there with Malcolm Butler? Because nothing controlled this
- 1:20:23Speaker 7: guy better than to walk over and be like that're through.
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: I almost wanted to ask him to walk around the corner.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Why didn't you?
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: Because he was going through the lot in line and
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: he had his handle.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: He did say that he would come, he would try
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: to come by and see us.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: He did.
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: I mean, I think he's also he's doing some other Patriots.
- 1:20:41Speaker 5: Yeah, he's got he's got some other things. Must be
- 1:20:43Speaker 5: with the mountain. Where is the mountains?
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: The mountain?
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: To me?
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: Poor Fred really wants friend.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: Jeff and Kanda said, I actually, actually word actually actually
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: loved the interview with Doug Flutie. As a Canadian, I
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: can't understand how much he dominated the CFL during his
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: I'm in the league question. What do you make of
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: the fact that in the last seven weeks of the calendar,
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: the Seahawks have only played three different teams forty nine
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: Ers twice, Rams twice, and Panthers advantage or disadvantaged Patriots.
- 1:21:12Speaker 7: Well, I thought it was interesting. I mean, it's just
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: knowing teams so well, we talked about yesterday a little bit.
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: Yeah, Greg, Greg had a good Yeah, Greg, take on that.
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: I I I think it go either way, like either
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: he's yeah, I just I would just push back.
- 1:21:26Speaker 5: I mean to answer that question to me irrelevant, Like
- 1:21:29Speaker 5: that's no advantage for anybody.
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: You know when you play. I get what you guys
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: are saying.
- 1:21:35Speaker 5: And Mike, I know you were with Greg and Greg
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: was saying, you know, that might have helped him, Like,
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: but why doesn't it help the defense?
- 1:21:43Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:21:44Speaker 5: Like, I mean the defense knows everything that the offense
- 1:21:46Speaker 5: is doing too, and like, why did it only help
- 1:21:48Speaker 5: the offense?
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: Well, that's why I'm saying.
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: You could go either way either either Darnold was super,
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: super comfortable with what he was seeing with the Rams
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: and that's why he let the Rams up.
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: Or it could go the other way.
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: And there's you know, the lack of familiarity for the
- 1:22:01Speaker 4: Patriots with Sam Darnold, you know, ends up being an
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: issue that they are not as familiar I think you know,
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: when you go into games like this, obviously you know
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: you've got the players and you know the personnel, but
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: I think you're really going into the game expecting to
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: defend the system, Like you know what the system is
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: that they run, and they their base plays and their
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: core you know, sort of philosophies, and you just try
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: to defend the entire system and then figure out the
- 1:22:25Speaker 4: rest as you go.
- 1:22:26Speaker 5: And I wouldn't look at it and say the Patriots
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: have no chance to stop Seattle because they're not familiar
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: with them, whereas you know, or the Pageots offense is
- 1:22:38Speaker 5: going to struggle against Seattle's defense, they have no chance
- 1:22:42Speaker 5: because like the Rams lit them up the last two
- 1:22:44Speaker 5: times they faced them. Now, I got to think that
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: part of that was because they're a little bit more
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: familiar with them. So it's it goes both ways. Maybe
- 1:22:51Speaker 5: the defense plays better because they're playing against an offense
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: that's not.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: Familiar with what they're doing.
- 1:22:56Speaker 5: Yeah, but maybe the Patriots defense has an advantage because
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: Donald doesn't know as much about what they're doing, right,
- 1:23:02Speaker 5: And I agree with Evan.
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: I think you could look at it either way and
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: be completely right. Yeah, I kind of come out who
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: plays all of it. Yeah, it's exactly what I was
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: going to say. I kind of feel like, as I'm
- 1:23:14Speaker 4: talking about it, it's kind of a wash like because
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: it's probably something that is Super Bowl week fodder that
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: is really not that important.
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: I actually have been a little bit surprised.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: That nobody's asked for abel about really not having any
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: great institutional knowledge about the Seahawks and you know about
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: that team or you know McDonald at the Seahawks availability,
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: because he's talked about that before.
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: Earlier this year. I think he said mentioned it about
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: the Saints.
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: I want to say is earlier this season he mentioned
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: it a couple of times where it was like, we
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: really honestly don't know a ton about this team. So
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: we've been the last couple of days has really been
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: a lot of work, just trying to learn the team
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: and the roster.
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: It just goes both ways, right, I don't know you,
- 1:23:55Speaker 7: you don't know them.
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: By the way, the plus fifteen thousand but ten dollars
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: only pays out one thousan five hundred and ten dollars.
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: So it's barely enough for b Yeah, yeah, fun with math.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Let's see Tom wants to know where you got that shirt?
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: Where he can get one?
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: Yeah, where you get Oh I've gotten that before. On
- 1:24:22Speaker 6: this one, I actually got this off eBay.
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: Yeah you're not. That was not like, that was not
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: the right answer.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you get a lot of stuff off of eBay.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: Patriots pro shops. He was looking for a bargain to
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: like that good stuff.
- 1:24:33Speaker 6: I mean, look, you know you only get limited stuff,
- 1:24:35Speaker 6: and certain things build up. And actually there's one store
- 1:24:38Speaker 6: on eBay that I think the Patriots actually send their
- 1:24:41Speaker 6: extra stuff to, and you can get it at a discount.
- 1:24:44Speaker 7: I think it's called Athletic Apparel. But but by it
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: the pro shop.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: Fanatics getting you're not going fanatics take it and take
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: it to the woods.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: Yeah. They're blaming it on the fact that they didn't
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: think the Patriots were.
- 1:24:55Speaker 17: Going to be that good.
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: They said both teams, they said that both teams are
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: kind of like Cinderella stories and and and whatever.
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: And I was like, that's an excuse. That is a big,
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: bad excuse.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I went. I went to the NFL shop
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: up here. It wasn't a lot that I was interested in.
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: Yeah, I thought a hat.
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: I just wanted to buy a hat for this and
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: uh no socks like the hat so much? He was
- 1:25:19Speaker 6: we just sent somebody to buy for him.
- 1:25:21Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: I actually liked a decent amount of the stuff. I
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: just didn't like the price tag of a decent amount
- 1:25:26Speaker 5: of the stuff. The right sticker I have, like the
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: wait till.
- 1:25:29Speaker 7: Beth gets here, then it'll be that will be the
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: right price.
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: But then I'll have the permission from the boss and
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: I won't worry about it if I have this.
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: Fear, I guess of like if I buy something and
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: then they lose the game, Like I'm not really gonna
- 1:25:41Speaker 4: want to wear it?
- 1:25:42Speaker 21: Yeah, like.
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: That's what I got.
- 1:25:45Speaker 21: A hat?
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I'm not Yeah, because that one you can
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: kind of wear again. I get you know what I'm
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: saying though, Like yeah.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: All right, oh look at who? Look who's here? Another
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: familiar face we got?
- 1:25:55Speaker 7: We're going on all time? Greatest patient?
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Why is that right? How you tell the man seeing you?
- 1:26:01Speaker 8: You?
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: Guys? Are you doing great?
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: To see you?
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: How are you? How are you doing well?
- 1:26:06Speaker 8: What?
- 1:26:07Speaker 30: So?
- 1:26:07Speaker 41: What do we owe the pleasure? Walking by and pull
- 1:26:12Speaker 41: me in? I'm still waiting for my Arkansas. It's only
- 1:26:17Speaker 41: been five I'm not gonna lie to you I forgot all.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: About you, Washington. I did not.
- 1:26:23Speaker 11: I was trying to figure out who asked me that question.
- 1:26:26Speaker 11: I stored up so many, but I thought, who was
- 1:26:30Speaker 11: so thank you after this?
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: I think so.
- 1:26:33Speaker 5: I used to wear a lot of you make fun
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: of me all the time. I had like a Clemson
- 1:26:36Speaker 5: one and L s U one and the L s
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: U one really got under all your sin. And I
- 1:26:42Speaker 5: used to wear it for Kevin Falk back in the day.
- 1:26:45Speaker 5: And then you know, David Andrews would give me a
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: hard time. You would give me a hard time.
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: I was like, listen, I can be bought.
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: Just give me somet that that, and you always would
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: tap us.
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: I was just going to get him. Yeah, I haven't
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: gotten since I was twenty two.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: Every time.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: I was ready to hide, I was going to catch you.
- 1:27:09Speaker 32: Yeah.
- 1:27:10Speaker 11: I was thinking the same you know, I do it
- 1:27:12Speaker 11: now to the new commander stuff. Yeah, and they fall forward.
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: I'm learnt that right. Yeah.
- 1:27:23Speaker 7: How's your how's your health?
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: Teacher?
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: I mean we all we all fell for you.
- 1:27:26Speaker 11: I'm better. Yeah, I'm getting better. Uh to my quad.
- 1:27:29Speaker 11: And so it was tough, but uh, it was it
- 1:27:33Speaker 11: was something I learned a lot about myself.
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: A boy the game.
- 1:27:36Speaker 11: And now I'm back crutch free, no no braces. I'm
- 1:27:39Speaker 11: doing slive pushes now, so I'm getting back stronger.
- 1:27:42Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: We already had Ted Kraik Carris on today, and now
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: that you're on, I think it's two of the two
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: of the best all time locker room Patriots, two of
- 1:27:48Speaker 6: our favorite guys that we still talk about. And and
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: you know, when you got hurt this year, everybody fell
- 1:27:53Speaker 6: for you. It's still in the organization. So it's good
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: to hear thank you.
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: I hope you felt that from Patriots Nation because everybody
- 1:27:58Speaker 4: when when you went down, I saw on Twitter and
- 1:28:01Speaker 4: social media all Patriots fans were sending you prayers and
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: everything like that.
- 1:28:06Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: Absolutely, ped was just on you guys are on the
- 1:28:10Speaker 4: Mount rush more, you know you. I'll put Devon on there.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: I mean, I'm still I still regret never being able
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: to do the Wise Guys podcast Lawrence. That would have
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: been good one. Yeah, stay in touch with him well,
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: definitely a.
- 1:28:27Speaker 11: Good friend of mine. Yea's a really good friend of yeah,
- 1:28:30Speaker 11: because I think that had legs.
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: Really really cool. Yeah, So what are you up to here?
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 1:28:35Speaker 11: I'm just walking around doing different shows and whatnot. I'm
- 1:28:39Speaker 11: here to do really two shows that got pushed back.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: So now I'm just just.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: You're not selling anything, nothing like that. You know.
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: Yeah, my first customer right here, and I only need
- 1:28:56Speaker 5: a large probably put in for an extra latch.
- 1:28:59Speaker 11: Only have you actually looked really good? I have access,
- 1:29:02Speaker 11: so they made a little bit big, just a little bit.
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: Get that Pepperoni pizza going again, Paul, you'll fit into it.
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: I can work on that, yeah, Drake may uh huh.
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: So I'm sure that you've been paying attention to the
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: season he's had in the year two.
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: Just what did you see from him? And how I mean,
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: how remarkable is this ascension so quickly?
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: Well, he's made a great jump.
- 1:29:28Speaker 11: I really think he's done a really good job of
- 1:29:32Speaker 11: understanding of the game, reading his keys, reading his defenses,
- 1:29:36Speaker 11: and you could tell that he's processing when he's in
- 1:29:39Speaker 11: the pocket, and he's doing a.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: Really good job of that. We saw a little bit
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: of it his first year.
- 1:29:44Speaker 11: There was a lot of things he didn't start, he started,
- 1:29:47Speaker 11: whatever case was, but his his year two junk was phenomenal.
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: And I think it also also aids that he has
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: a great oc as well.
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: Josh McDaniels.
- 1:29:57Speaker 11: He's a really good oldc He's I think he's one
- 1:29:59Speaker 11: of the Patriot's best OC's and he's done a really
- 1:30:02Speaker 11: good double of teaching. And you could tell through the
- 1:30:04Speaker 11: little clips that you see on the sideline he's talking
- 1:30:08Speaker 11: to drect May. He's like a great mentor for him.
- 1:30:11Speaker 11: And this this is me looking at now the outside
- 1:30:13Speaker 11: guy is crazy.
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: But well, I mean, you were here this summer, you
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: came up for joint practices. What was what was your impression?
- 1:30:19Speaker 19: Then?
- 1:30:19Speaker 11: Uh, you know, I told my team who he was,
- 1:30:21Speaker 11: I said, I said, I described him a guy who's
- 1:30:25Speaker 11: well using his legs.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: He's good at.
- 1:30:26Speaker 11: Throwing the ball and can make plays happen, you know,
- 1:30:29Speaker 11: And he's been showing that ever since. And I saw
- 1:30:32Speaker 11: that this one on the other side, I give him
- 1:30:34Speaker 11: a little chats tark here in the l I know
- 1:30:36Speaker 11: I'm still here, you know, I said, even though I'm
- 1:30:39Speaker 11: on the other side, I'm not gonna hears you, but
- 1:30:41Speaker 11: I will be running.
- 1:30:44Speaker 4: I wanted to ask you about that that trip up
- 1:30:46Speaker 4: to Foxborough, actually because I thought one of the coolest
- 1:30:48Speaker 4: moments of the Brady Statue unveiling was that you and
- 1:30:51Speaker 4: Jonathan Jones got to come.
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: To it because you were there, yeah, playing the Patriots.
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: What was that like for you?
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: Even though you were there obviously in a different team's gear.
- 1:30:58Speaker 11: But even though one wonderful, it was really well received
- 1:31:02Speaker 11: from the I saw a bunch of Patriots fans there.
- 1:31:05Speaker 11: There are really good they're really good fan base. I
- 1:31:08Speaker 11: talked a bunch of them. But it was also I
- 1:31:10Speaker 11: was thankful for coach for let me even do that.
- 1:31:12Speaker 11: You know, like when you leave a team, it was
- 1:31:14Speaker 11: like where you're going? But co coach said, I know
- 1:31:16Speaker 11: you just left. It's the preseason, like you can go
- 1:31:19Speaker 11: support And I was like, I appreciate that. And then
- 1:31:21Speaker 11: to see everything that a man has accomplished in his
- 1:31:24Speaker 11: career and then hit the love that he's received back
- 1:31:27Speaker 11: is phenomenal. I'm just really happy that the trophy of
- 1:31:30Speaker 11: the statue looked just like him.
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: Everybody.
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: Uh so, what was gonna say? So just the game itself, Like,
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: you know, how how are you gonna watch it? Are
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: you gonna watch it as a former Patriot or somebody news?
- 1:31:47Speaker 11: You know, I watched football so differently, just like I
- 1:31:51Speaker 11: watched it like I watched film. You know, I'm breaking down.
- 1:31:55Speaker 11: I'm watching the d line take off, I'm reading coverages.
- 1:31:58Speaker 11: I'm like, oh, so this is cover two. Here, they're
- 1:32:00Speaker 11: about the Ruman, this is the run and all three,
- 1:32:02Speaker 11: and I just can't break that habit. So that's how
- 1:32:05Speaker 11: I watch all games. I watched it almost like I'm
- 1:32:07Speaker 11: studying film. I can't watch him like a faniom. I
- 1:32:10Speaker 11: can't just follow the ball like, oh this is nice.
- 1:32:12Speaker 11: I'm like, hey, crag talk, I saw I watch it.
- 1:32:16Speaker 11: So are you going to be at the game?
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: No, I will not. I'm going to be a home. Okay.
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: Probably the best place to watch it is give you
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: a commentating and you watch. You want to get to
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: the bathrooms close?
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: Yes it is.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: It's never not fool.
- 1:32:33Speaker 12: I know.
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: You know, you guys both kind of had some injuries
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: this year. But Jayden Daniels just what's he like and
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: how does he kind of compare personality wise to Drake
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: if at all?
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: Was that whole class? Give it up to him. That
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: is a really good quarterback class.
- 1:32:49Speaker 11: I mean, wow, like that, I don't think we have
- 1:32:51Speaker 11: this quarterback class since well Philip, Philip Rivers and that class.
- 1:32:55Speaker 11: You know, yeah, that was a good class too. Yeah,
- 1:32:57Speaker 11: I'm like, so this is this is the feature football
- 1:33:00Speaker 11: that that class.
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: Uh. Jane Damns is poised. I mean since day one.
- 1:33:06Speaker 11: Looking from from the other side, he was poised when
- 1:33:08Speaker 11: I came into Barry Tom never never rattled. Even even
- 1:33:13Speaker 11: this year, he's kept that same poised about him.
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: He he he, he brings.
- 1:33:18Speaker 11: He walks to the game like a child and not
- 1:33:22Speaker 11: in a respective most of like he just like very
- 1:33:24Speaker 11: free flowing. You know, he knows he's good, he knows
- 1:33:27Speaker 11: he's confident in what he's doing, and he goes out there,
- 1:33:30Speaker 11: he reads his keys, he's he's process oriented, and he
- 1:33:33Speaker 11: just like he just like keeps a calmness about the offense.
- 1:33:38Speaker 11: So when things are going up and down, he's like, guys,
- 1:33:41Speaker 11: we're good, Yeah, we got it. And then he goes
- 1:33:43Speaker 11: there and make me plays.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, that's that's good to hear because because I
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: sense that likes he seems like a pretty even keel guy,
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: you know, yeah, okay, yeah.
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: I think that.
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: You know, there was always back and forth between the
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: three of them, you know, Cale Williams, Drake made Jayden
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: Daniels all draft season long, and it turns out that
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: all three of them are just good, you know, and
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: it's pretty incredible. I also just wanted to ask you
- 1:34:09Speaker 4: to just you know, Tom Brady said that he didn't
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: have a dog in the fight. Ditrich You, i know,
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: are under contract with a different team, so you're gonna
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: not have a dog in the fight too.
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: But there's a little piece of you that's pulling for
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: the Patriots, right.
- 1:34:21Speaker 11: My friends are there, Yeah, yeah, I still got I
- 1:34:23Speaker 11: mean even though they don't they told me that it
- 1:34:25Speaker 11: was to leave.
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: All got cool.
- 1:34:27Speaker 11: All my boys are still there, you know, so I'm
- 1:34:29Speaker 11: rooined for all the on the wins because they haven't
- 1:34:31Speaker 11: got one yet. So it's cool to see your friends
- 1:34:34Speaker 11: get a ring so we can.
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: All be like.
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: He sniffs too. It's literally easy. You have your own rings,
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: like you know, it's not like you you missed the
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: boat on that so.
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: Well, trick. We appreciate you coming by.
- 1:34:48Speaker 7: Thanks, maybe on your toes because I'm gonna get you
- 1:34:53Speaker 7: here immediately.
- 1:34:54Speaker 23: I'm gonna get you.
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna get you.
- 1:34:56Speaker 21: He hasn't got.
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: Gonna get ever.
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: Need help with the Wise Guys podcast. Definitely would make happen. Jones,
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: all right, everybody good?
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: Jonathan Jones Also, yeah, awesome, one of the greats.
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: Yes, all right, good stuff here. You never know who's
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: gonna pop in here and Patriots unfiltered on radio roads.
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: It seems like it's kind of.
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: A little bit.
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: They're all the anti Deuce. Deuce is jacked up today,
- 1:35:30Speaker 5: and everybody else, I think is kind of slowing down
- 1:35:33Speaker 5: a little bit. I got energy is slow.
- 1:35:35Speaker 7: I felt like I hit some jet lag yesterday. I
- 1:35:37Speaker 7: just kind of felt like I was off.
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: Powering through it today. Man like you do this all
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: the time, and you go, you gotta come out here.
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: Three hour time difference usually.
- 1:35:46Speaker 7: Makes his wife's been a couple of years. I know,
- 1:35:47Speaker 7: I haven't been down here in a couple of years.
- 1:35:48Speaker 6: So yeah, I'm reminded of some of the good things,
- 1:35:52Speaker 6: and I'm reminded.
- 1:35:53Speaker 7: Of a lot of the things that I don't miss
- 1:35:55Speaker 7: about California.
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: Yeah, there is fair enough.
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: Uh DJ right, Sin he's from zop what's up, DJ
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: DOJ DJ DJ? So what's up everyone?
- 1:36:06Speaker 10: Hey, Hey, Hey, it's good to hear everybody. We're in
- 1:36:11Speaker 10: the super Bowl. Baby, let's go, pet let it go.
- 1:36:15Speaker 10: I just wanted to call in and say that I
- 1:36:17Speaker 10: hope everyone's well. I'm happy that we're here and no
- 1:36:20Speaker 10: matter what we made it and other teams didn't. Let's go, Pat,
- 1:36:23Speaker 10: I have a bluffing.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: All right, thanks DJ, just calling it to say, hey,
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: oh just see it's not working, Paul, watch you Fred
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: manipulate this. This Francisco's in North Carolina. What's up Francisco?
- 1:36:40Speaker 42: Hey, what's going on?
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: Guys?
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: How y'all doing good?
- 1:36:44Speaker 42: All right, I'm gonna start off with a little halftime take,
- 1:36:47Speaker 42: and then I want to go on to my uh
- 1:36:50Speaker 42: my predictions. So for halftime, you know Bad Bunny and
- 1:36:54Speaker 42: Cardi B. You know, they have a song together. I'd
- 1:36:56Speaker 42: like them to throw Cardi B out there, you know,
- 1:36:58Speaker 42: get a little exer advantage, you know.
- 1:36:59Speaker 10: But the that time, and.
- 1:37:03Speaker 42: And uh so, being Hispanic, I've always just listened to
- 1:37:06Speaker 42: a lot of Bad Bunny. So I'm like the areas
- 1:37:09Speaker 42: of music that he could go is kind of crazy
- 1:37:12Speaker 42: because like when he first started, you know, like back
- 1:37:14Speaker 42: in like six twenty sixteen seventeen, it was like more
- 1:37:18Speaker 42: like gangster rats or and then turned into like some
- 1:37:21Speaker 42: some more like melodic musical stuff. But now it's like
- 1:37:25Speaker 42: getting more like a thought so style. So like when
- 1:37:29Speaker 42: like I'm trying to tell y'all like if y'all ain't listen,
- 1:37:32Speaker 42: you know, trying to get a little but like it's
- 1:37:34Speaker 42: it's crazy. But my predictions for this week though, is
- 1:37:38Speaker 42: I mean, I've heard everyone talking about there's gonna be
- 1:37:40Speaker 42: a trick play pass. I've also had the same thought,
- 1:37:42Speaker 42: but it's gonna be Kyrie's song on like the Don
- 1:37:46Speaker 42: Terry Poe said, fullback guy jump past. And I think
- 1:37:49Speaker 42: super Bowl MVP is gonna be Drake May and our
- 1:37:53Speaker 42: standout's gonna be Mac Holland. And uh, I think final
- 1:37:56Speaker 42: score is gonna be twenty one seventeen.
- 1:37:58Speaker 17: Appreciate it, all right, A lot.
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: Of people, let's say in that score twenty like, you know,
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: twenty to seven, yeah, something like that. Yeah yeah.
- 1:38:05Speaker 30: John's actually joining us right now.
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right, I guess so all right, so
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: John Brace is joining us right now. John, Uh, you
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: are the quarterback for the Patriots.
- 1:38:18Speaker 21: Uh what do you what?
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: What kind of team do you call it? The uh oh,
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: the Wheelchair Football.
- 1:38:23Speaker 43: League, Yes, sir, yes, yes, the New England Patriots with
- 1:38:26Speaker 43: thank you for you, sir, thank you, thank you.
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: Cool.
- 1:38:28Speaker 43: Absolutely, it's great. As my third season as the quarterback,
- 1:38:32Speaker 43: it's eye opening. Uh, these guys are incredible seven on
- 1:38:35Speaker 43: seven and uh, you know this movie United runs of
- 1:38:38Speaker 43: the League fifteen NFL teams responsible with Bob RODRIWF Foundation,
- 1:38:42Speaker 43: Patriots Foundation and Adapted Sports.
- 1:38:43Speaker 21: New England in front of our team. So they get
- 1:38:46Speaker 21: to go there.
- 1:38:46Speaker 43: They take care of us Patriots jerseys, Patricks helmets and everything.
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: If you guys play all over the place.
- 1:38:50Speaker 43: We do this four tournaments this season. This year they're
- 1:38:53Speaker 43: going to be in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix. We're
- 1:38:57Speaker 43: hoping in twenty twenty seven to get one out of Gillette.
- 1:38:59Speaker 43: We've been and talks about it. We get to do
- 1:39:01Speaker 43: a practice and to send off with them, and the
- 1:39:02Speaker 43: Patriots Foundation supports that. I've had some four Patriots as
- 1:39:05Speaker 43: our coaches my first year in twenty twenty four was
- 1:39:08Speaker 43: Patrick Pass and Brendan Crawford.
- 1:39:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's been so how are you guys doing?
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: Like this good record?
- 1:39:15Speaker 43: So the first year, this will be the fourth year
- 1:39:18Speaker 43: for the team. The first year they were one and seven.
- 1:39:21Speaker 43: I joined the team in twenty twenty four went four
- 1:39:23Speaker 43: and four. This past season we didn't do as well either.
- 1:39:25Speaker 43: We did one and five two different tournaments I'm miss
- 1:39:28Speaker 43: one a hadneumonia, so I'm missed Kansas City tournament. But
- 1:39:31Speaker 43: we're looking forward to becoming to one of the top
- 1:39:32Speaker 43: four teams this year. We've we've been pushing hard. We
- 1:39:34Speaker 43: start up practices in April. We kick off with a
- 1:39:37Speaker 43: which at football clinic at the Fieldhouse that you'll let
- 1:39:39Speaker 43: it's mainly for kids getting into wheelchairs.
- 1:39:41Speaker 21: And we're also recruiting your teammates.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: And we got a I was gonna ask you, how
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: often do you practice?
- 1:39:47Speaker 7: Twice a week?
- 1:39:48Speaker 43: We do a Sunday practice and then we do Thursday's
- 1:39:50Speaker 43: captains practices.
- 1:39:51Speaker 7: Okay, can you tell us a little bit about the game,
- 1:39:53Speaker 7: like how how is it set up?
- 1:39:54Speaker 43: Sure, it's seven verse seven, almost like a flag football.
- 1:39:57Speaker 43: We are in our sports chairs, which are a little different.
- 1:40:00Speaker 43: We're allowed to hit as hard as we want, flip
- 1:40:02Speaker 43: people over. Yeah, it is one hand touch from the
- 1:40:04Speaker 43: waist to the neck. We have a lot of spinal
- 1:40:06Speaker 43: quarter injury guys pandal bifida, but again we're allowed to hit.
- 1:40:09Speaker 43: When we're going in for that tag defense has to
- 1:40:12Speaker 43: be one one yard off the line of scrimmage, but
- 1:40:13Speaker 43: you're allowed to hit and maintain contact with five yards
- 1:40:16Speaker 43: and then our field is only sixty yards long, and
- 1:40:19Speaker 43: our first down at the fifteen to thirty and the
- 1:40:20Speaker 43: forty five. Okay, but it's nice because I can throw
- 1:40:23Speaker 43: you out football sixty.
- 1:40:24Speaker 5: Yards, So you know, it's pretty nice on Couto Rico.
- 1:40:30Speaker 5: And so how did like the Patriot? Are you a
- 1:40:32Speaker 5: Patriots fan? Or do you just get assigned to a team?
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: How does that work?
- 1:40:36Speaker 43: No, so you find a local team. Move United up
- 1:40:38Speaker 43: on their website movie United sports dot org. They have
- 1:40:40Speaker 43: a list of finding a team if you're interested. It's
- 1:40:43Speaker 43: anybody with a lower lim mobility impairment. You don't have
- 1:40:45Speaker 43: to be a veteran, but we serve about twelve hundred
- 1:40:47Speaker 43: veterans in the league right now. There's a veteran All
- 1:40:49Speaker 43: Star Game every year. Last year, my rookie year, I
- 1:40:52Speaker 43: was the quarterback for the Stars versus Strapes. I was
- 1:40:55Speaker 43: quarterback for the Stars down in New Orleans at the
- 1:40:56Speaker 43: Super Bowl. We won in double over time. Twenty nineteen.
- 1:40:59Speaker 43: We're gonna be when an Austin are an All Star
- 1:41:01Speaker 43: Game and Pittsburgh during the draft in PL twenty fourth.
- 1:41:05Speaker 21: And yeah, anybody's eligible with the lower loom mobility.
- 1:41:08Speaker 43: I'm one of the first bets for the Patriots team,
- 1:41:10Speaker 43: and we're ever trying to grow, Like each year he's
- 1:41:12Speaker 43: got more and more recruits and.
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: So so it's, uh, this is the place to go.
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: Move United, Uh move United Sports or sport dot org
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: slash u s A w f L.
- 1:41:25Speaker 6: Correct, Yes, sir, Yeah, got some hits going on there
- 1:41:27Speaker 6: on the I mean, how much do you enjoy the
- 1:41:29Speaker 6: physicality of being able to whack somebody?
- 1:41:31Speaker 43: I love it, like the man and everything. So yeah,
- 1:41:35Speaker 43: and on the backside, had some of the athletes that
- 1:41:37Speaker 43: we're here this week, do.
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: You ever get lit up like this? That's that doesn't
- 1:41:40Speaker 3: look fun.
- 1:41:40Speaker 21: I've gone flip. I'm a bigger guy, so it's harder
- 1:41:43Speaker 21: to flip me. But when I get going with that
- 1:41:44Speaker 21: momentum and I hits front on.
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: Do you guys have like a coaching staff, like, how
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: does the playbook work?
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:41:52Speaker 3: We go well, yeah, the quarterbacks you know.
- 1:41:56Speaker 21: Yeah, so a lot of guys have tb eyes on.
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: We have to keep it.
- 1:41:59Speaker 21: We trimmed down.
- 1:42:00Speaker 43: We have about thirty something plays that we run through
- 1:42:01Speaker 43: and then for when we're getting enough a tournament, we've
- 1:42:03Speaker 43: narrowed down to about sixteen we're working more and more
- 1:42:06Speaker 43: on that. That's where actually Patrick Pash is great about
- 1:42:08Speaker 43: He came up with a bunch of players and then
- 1:42:10Speaker 43: we kind of modified him for wheelchair football.
- 1:42:13Speaker 21: It's tough because like those chairs take up a lot
- 1:42:15Speaker 21: of space, you don't have a lot of minervorability.
- 1:42:16Speaker 2: But yeah, we designed it.
- 1:42:18Speaker 43: I mess off the coach Sam Bernstein, he runs adapt
- 1:42:21Speaker 43: to Sports New England program manager and when we get
- 1:42:24Speaker 43: help from some of the former Patriots, they they're on
- 1:42:26Speaker 43: their two cents as well. And yeah, we're trying to
- 1:42:29Speaker 43: do a thing with Tully Bantacaine with the Beach Football.
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: League right doing that.
- 1:42:33Speaker 43: Yeah, Yeah, So he and I've been talking a lot
- 1:42:35Speaker 43: about trying to get an exhibition whi chair football game,
- 1:42:37Speaker 43: maybe with the Bills or something up in like Maine
- 1:42:40Speaker 43: when he has his tournaments going on. So but yeah,
- 1:42:42Speaker 43: the playbooks what I've I wouldn't play football growing up,
- 1:42:45Speaker 43: So the playbooks where I've been learning, I've been to
- 1:42:48Speaker 43: last few years just focusing on football, dolledge and trying
- 1:42:50Speaker 43: to learn the game.
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: Questions, haven't it like what's like the best route that
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: you guys could outs?
- 1:43:01Speaker 43: Honestly, because with the chairs you can block somebody out
- 1:43:03Speaker 43: real nice, so you get bad. Curls are good too,
- 1:43:05Speaker 43: because you curl from the outside and like you got
- 1:43:07Speaker 43: a nice window on the side for me to get to.
- 1:43:09Speaker 43: It's a lot easier for me. And then we just
- 1:43:12Speaker 43: started doing a lot of running and trying to get
- 1:43:13Speaker 43: the blocks in there. But it's a lot more passing
- 1:43:16Speaker 43: than you see in NFL and college.
- 1:43:18Speaker 18: Sure.
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: Yeah, so again it's move United sport dot org, slash
- 1:43:22Speaker 2: u s A w f LT. That's how you do it.
