- 1:28SPEAKER_04: We have the community segment with our special guest, Ryan Kleeman.
- 1:31SPEAKER_04: Actually, he's not a special guest because he's part of the partnership with us, 10x partners for this.
- 1:36SPEAKER_04: But he's still special to have in the studio.
- 1:38SPEAKER_04: Ryan, glad to have you back in here.
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: We're going to continue this riveting interview with you about who you are, what makes you tick, what makes you the business half of the better half with Lindy is the better half.
- 1:50SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 1:52SPEAKER_04: She's better looking than me too.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:54SPEAKER_04: Well, hey, we left off talking about business people over profits and giving back to the community, being part of the community, and just not marketing the community.
- 2:02SPEAKER_04: And and that really leads us to we kind of alluded to last week about a benefit that you guys just conducted, right?
- 2:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 2:10SPEAKER_04: And it's safe to say we can say the Justin Fish Adams benefit.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was talk about that a little bit and and what that means.
- 2:17SPEAKER_03: So last week, uh, you know, Lindy, Laura, and Caitlin all all did a video at Brave Hazel.
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: Um, and you know, the the benefit was great.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: Um, again, num numbers are private for out of respect for the family and the businesses as well, but uh just safe to say um it was it was a it's a big number, large impact, etc.
- 2:34SPEAKER_03: Um, you talk about 10x, it 10x would have been proud of that, proud of the excellent the show on this one.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: Good, good.
- 2:40SPEAKER_03: Point being benefit went great, you know, Verdin location, Carlinville, Brave Hazel and Cabin Cakes Bearage, giving them a small shout out to um all put on a put on a great show on Saturday.
- 2:51SPEAKER_03: Um and do want to mention all that money is believing it's one of the kids, actually.
- 2:55SPEAKER_03: You know, they're gonna split it up however they see fit and uh you know, just excited to help out.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: You know, when when there's a a crisis at hand, and I understand Justin's Justin's doing great, man.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: He's doing great, he's he's getting better, he's back home now.
- 3:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: And I don't know, Justin, all good.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: Um, but but man, he sounds like a great guy, great community, you community guy, and everybody was just excited to show out for him.
- 3:16SPEAKER_03: And nothing but good things to say.
- 3:17SPEAKER_03: It was a huge showing, and you know, we were all happy to have a impactful day.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: Impactful day for sure.
- 3:23SPEAKER_04: And and what really gets me about events like that is watching the community rally around one of its own.
- 3:28SPEAKER_04: Um, you see people from all different backgrounds come together, businesses, families, friends, neighbors, yeah, you know, people who may not even know the individual personally, yeah, but understand that when somebody in your community needs help, you show up.
- 3:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I always say when bad things happen, the only good thing that comes out of it a lot of times is this community rallying.
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: And you've seen it time and time again throughout history, frankly.
- 3:50SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 3:50SPEAKER_03: Um, to where these these tragic events happen and it's inspiring to where that's when humanity really does come together.
- 3:57SPEAKER_03: And you know, on a very small scale, right?
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: Hey, happy to help out.
- 4:00SPEAKER_03: I'm glad it was amazing.
- 4:01SPEAKER_03: It's kind of like I I didn't go to Brave Hazel, you know, no offense to the girls that show up and stop there.
- 4:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:08SPEAKER_03: Um, but you know, uh John as well should shout out John Converry.
- 4:11SPEAKER_03: Man, he's he's a great community guy.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: I've been getting to know him a little bit over the past year, and you know, it it was just it was it was a great day, and that's what the community is supposed to look like, yeah, right.
- 4:20SPEAKER_04: And I think that's one of the reasons businesses like sips matter.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you know, you're not just selling coffee, you're creating a place where people connect and can feel safe and feel like they make a difference.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: Well, and a lot of times, Chris, people want opportunities to give back, right?
- 4:35SPEAKER_03: They a lot of times they just don't know how, you know, and and that's where I always say, and and I'm gonna trip over this line a little bit.
- 4:42SPEAKER_03: That's all right.
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: You know, if you have the opportunity and uh the influence to have the ability to host something like this, right?
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: It is your duty and obligation to do so.
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: And I've told Lindy that before.
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: It's just, you know, when she has an avenue, when she has the ability to do something like this, and we start thinking, oh, should we?
- 5:03SPEAKER_03: You gotta crush that.
- 5:05SPEAKER_03: You gotta get rid of it, you gotta get you gotta get rid of the doubt, the imposter syndrome, just do it, and just do it.
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 5:11SPEAKER_03: And that is so important because people, you know, just just the average Joe is going to work every day and then it's a customer, and it that's fine.
- 5:18SPEAKER_03: We, you know, amazing.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: But they they can't host an event like this a lot of times.
- 5:23SPEAKER_03: So it is your duty and obligation as a business owner, as a community leader to make it happen.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: And I'm I can't be more proud of it.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: Man, they did a great job.
- 5:31SPEAKER_04: And and that's awesome.
- 5:32SPEAKER_04: And and you are correct.
- 5:33SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, we I gotta shout out here, we've got a uh huge charity event that we were gonna have this fall, but due to scheduling with conflicts with the entertainment, the headliner, we're pushing April 24th, where we're gonna be doing large fundraiser for the McCoopin Center for Development of the Disabled and for the local food pantry.
- 5:51SPEAKER_04: Awesome.
- 5:52SPEAKER_04: And we're gonna do it right here on the our 11.5 acres and corner of Carlinville.
- 5:56SPEAKER_04: Perfect.
- 5:56SPEAKER_04: And uh live band food trucks, kids' events, all kinds of stuff, six-hour event, just gonna be big.
- 6:01SPEAKER_04: Big, big event, which our listeners and followers will hear more about coming up.
- 6:05SPEAKER_04: But speaking of coming up, what's next for sips?
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so again, if Lindy was here today, she would be talking about it, but she's busy right now.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she's in Gillespie right now.
- 6:15SPEAKER_04: Your Gillespie location, exactly.
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: And I tell you what, the idea for the Gillespie location, I remember it vividly, came up, you know, I believe it was sometime in the winter of this past year.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: And um still 26.
- 6:28SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah, so actually this year.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: So it's a pretty pretty soon, right?
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: Um let me let me add something else here.
- 6:33SPEAKER_03: Um, Verdon and Carlinville were in the cards before, you know, before you open cards.
- 6:39SPEAKER_04: Before you open Verdon, right, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 6:41SPEAKER_03: So, you know, that was something to where the avenue to open Verdon just was was faster.
- 6:46SPEAKER_03: It was there, it was just listening.
- 6:48SPEAKER_04: Building's ready, let's go, let's move.
- 6:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: And you know, talking about the idea from from the idea to the ultimate opening day, there's a lot of steps there, right?
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, yes.
- 6:57SPEAKER_03: Talking about that just a little bit from a business standpoint, right?
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: You have you know, construction that needs done.
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: You have suppliers that need done.
- 7:04SPEAKER_03: You got to order your your machines and your equipment and your computers and employees, employees, right?
- 7:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 7:10SPEAKER_03: Recruiting, very important to a business.
- 7:11SPEAKER_03: And she she's dealing with that right now.
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: And you go from step one, which is just an idea, all the way to opening day, which is going to be September 1st for her.
- 7:19SPEAKER_03: Man, I tell you what, it's amazing.
- 7:21SPEAKER_03: And they say, don't love the outcome, love the process, right?
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: And that is something to where I sometimes, Chris, I'll be real with you.
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: I uh I sometimes hate the process because man, I've done it before, I've done it meeting.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 7:34SPEAKER_04: Kind of gets mundane a little bit.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're like, uh, but at the same time, you know But you know it works, yeah.
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: The process, yeah.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: But it's just sometimes the you know, you're sitting there and you're like, man, this is gonna be a lot of work.
- 7:45SPEAKER_03: But I tell you what, on the on the back end, like, you know, in terms of Gillespie, because there's been a lot of people that had that have made Gillespie happen, given some shout-outs, right?
- 7:52SPEAKER_03: Tom Bauer, Haley Bauer, they're partnering with they live in Gillespie, they're Gillespie natives, um, you know, local as well, right, Chris?
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: And they're partnering with Lindy on that location.
- 8:01SPEAKER_03: He owns Bower Electric.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: Um, man, and and um, you know, just couldn't be more excited to to bring something like that to Gillispi because man, our areas, right?
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: People want these things, people want experience, people want nice things in their community, and people just gotta go out and do it, Chris.
- 8:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:20SPEAKER_04: I I uh I have positive affirmations I tell myself every day.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: And at the end of my operations, it's I have infinite potential and possibilities in my life, right?
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: It's just you gotta take that first step to to go get it.
- 8:33SPEAKER_04: And that's that prosperity attitude.
- 8:34SPEAKER_04: And I had that even before I got into the 10x with Grant Cardone, and then it just everything married together, and it's like it just fits, right?
- 8:42SPEAKER_04: And then and it just works on that.
- 8:44SPEAKER_04: So, so the Gillispy location, September 1st, right?
- 8:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but what just happened though here in Carlomille?
- 8:50SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, groundbreaking.
- 8:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, sorry, come on, Ryan.
- 8:52SPEAKER_03: You just had a groundbreaking, which we advertise that, but you got a lot of stuff going on, man.
- 8:56SPEAKER_03: I gotta I gotta, I gotta, we gotta go joke, we gotta go sell some in shirts this afternoon.
- 8:59SPEAKER_03: That's what we always say.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: So yeah, groundbreaking hasn't moved a lot of ground yet, as of you know, late.
- 9:04SPEAKER_03: But you broke the ground.
- 9:05SPEAKER_04: I saw I saw you broke the ground and concrete.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: Trees are moving, concrete's moving, yeah.
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, and and give giving some credit to those guys, they're working hard.
- 9:13SPEAKER_03: It rained a little bit.
- 9:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so but you still had the groundbreaking, that was awesome.
- 9:16SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 9:17SPEAKER_04: So the tent was set up that day, and yep, yeah.
- 9:19SPEAKER_04: So it's gonna be just it would be behind, but still closer to road frontage of where the current location of Carnival is now.
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah.
- 9:28SPEAKER_04: So just kind of explain to people where it's gonna be going and yeah.
- 9:32SPEAKER_03: So the old pizza hut, right?
- 9:33SPEAKER_03: You have there, you know, the concrete, all that's gonna be like a front patio, and then you're gonna have a whole uh coffee shop that is going to be set back from there.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: Um, it's gonna have a drive-thru around.
- 9:45SPEAKER_04: So you still have the drive-thru action for them.
- 9:47SPEAKER_04: Awesome.
- 9:47SPEAKER_03: And it's gonna be really nice too.
- 9:48SPEAKER_03: Like um, if this is gonna be the first location that's gonna have a concrete drive-thru.
- 9:52SPEAKER_03: Ah, that's right.
- 9:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah, oh, Gillespie isn't concrete coming.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: No, it's just rock.
- 9:55SPEAKER_03: And then um because that used to be the police station.
- 9:58SPEAKER_03: Well, it used to be the police station, yeah.
- 10:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, why didn't they have concrete?
- 10:01SPEAKER_03: I don't, I don't know.
- 10:02SPEAKER_03: Well, around, around the building.
- 10:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, drive-thru.
- 10:04SPEAKER_03: We had we had to build the drive-thru.
- 10:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, gotcha, true, true.
- 10:07SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and got rid of all the glass block and all that, put in windows.
- 10:11SPEAKER_03: It's awesome.
- 10:12SPEAKER_04: I've I've seen the videos and all that driven by there.
- 10:14SPEAKER_04: I just had to stop by.
- 10:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:16SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, I love the SIPS products.
- 10:18SPEAKER_04: Definitely.
- 10:18SPEAKER_04: That's why they're our sponsor of this.
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: So Verdon, Carnival, then Gillespie location, and then opening of the new Carnival.
- 10:24SPEAKER_04: What's the target?
- 10:25SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 10:26SPEAKER_04: Um, that is.
- 10:27SPEAKER_04: Because it will constantly, because of your current setup, you will constantly be running coffee all through construction.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:33SPEAKER_03: All through consuming people.
- 10:34SPEAKER_03: You're saying, you're saying the trailer?
- 10:36SPEAKER_04: Time frame.
- 10:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: Got it.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: So time frame.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: Uh so the trailer's gonna operate 100% good to go.
- 10:42SPEAKER_03: They will not lose their Carlville sips.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: That's not changing.
- 10:46SPEAKER_03: And then the the goal, which is that's a stretch goal, is going to be sometime around December to January to open up the permanent location.
- 10:54SPEAKER_04: Get it weathered in before the weather turns nasty and then get the final stuff done.
- 10:57SPEAKER_03: And it's not gonna be that complicated of a build.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: I mean, right, you know, when the con I'm sure you know this, Chris, when the concrete goes in, the the the rough end plumbing goes in and the concrete, right?
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be a slab.
- 11:06SPEAKER_03: You know, that's the walls are gonna go up, and I mean you're just gonna start going.
- 11:10SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's a big build, but it's not like it's it's we're not building a house, right?
- 11:13SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: You need toilets, you need you need a counter, you need nice storage, and you need all your equipment, and that's really it.
- 11:19SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be a beautiful, beautiful building.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 11:21SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm sure, I'm sure that you know, pictures will be out there in the next probably couple of years.
- 11:25SPEAKER_04: Well, people will be able to see it too driving by the the product of the uh project heads is coming along and so forth and anticipating you know having that new location.
- 11:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but no, it's good for everyone to know that they will not lose their sips coffee during construction on that.
- 11:38SPEAKER_04: So that's that's definitely exciting.
- 11:40SPEAKER_04: And I know that people have been waiting a while for the fall menu because you you doesn't Lindy bring up fall flavors?
- 11:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so far she have them all year round.
- 11:49SPEAKER_03: I believe the fall menu is dropping next Monday, I think.
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Ah you're here to hear.
- 11:54SPEAKER_03: Well, no, it's it's it's not a secret.
- 11:56SPEAKER_03: I just can't remember personally when this is.
- 11:58SPEAKER_03: Come on, we like dropping news on here, right?
- 12:00SPEAKER_03: I hey, I've I I've hopefully dropped a couple things.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: She's that she's excited.
- 12:06SPEAKER_03: It's the biggest fall menu she's done yet.
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: Um, I guess she's only done two because she's been in business for two years now.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: But she's really excited for it.
- 12:12SPEAKER_03: She she was bragging at me the other night how proud she was of it, etc.
- 12:16SPEAKER_04: I love it.
- 12:16SPEAKER_04: I love it.
- 12:17SPEAKER_04: So, everyone that's listening, you're gonna have to keep an eye out on sips because sounds like things are about to get very busy.
- 12:23SPEAKER_04: They have been busy, they have been busy already, yeah, and they're gonna get busier.
- 12:26SPEAKER_04: And sounds like, again, I think this comes from your your decade plus of entrepreneurship.
- 12:32SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 12:32SPEAKER_04: And diving into business, how it works, and and that wheel.
- 12:37SPEAKER_04: And I'm gonna pull something up real quick that you may or may not have seen this, and it'll probably pop up behind your head.
- 12:42SPEAKER_04: Okay, and for our listeners, what I'm gonna be bringing up is a seven-step business wheel.
- 12:49SPEAKER_04: It came up on my screen, but I'll put it over here.
- 12:51SPEAKER_04: This is actually, you know, the simplistic 10X.
- 12:54SPEAKER_04: Start with a target, your dream, your goal, right?
- 12:58SPEAKER_04: Megaphone, start with the attention, get the marketing out there, generate the leads.
- 13:02SPEAKER_04: The leads is people come through your drive-thru, right?
- 13:04SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:04SPEAKER_04: Lead management, how do you keep them happy?
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 13:07SPEAKER_04: How do you keep them informed?
- 13:08SPEAKER_04: Social media, mailers, whatever, coupons, generate the sales, sales management, how you're investing that money, how you're working with it, and then boom, you guys are the epitome of the scale, right?
- 13:19SPEAKER_04: You've got this wheel down.
- 13:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and and you create that that motion.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: And I tell you what, this is really, you know, bringing up some points with my insurance business because you know, that that the I I never seen that, Chris.
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: The seven, what was it called?
- 13:33SPEAKER_04: Seven step system wheel.
- 13:34SPEAKER_04: This is the system step.
- 13:34SPEAKER_04: This is the framework of business.
- 13:36SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 13:36SPEAKER_03: Even you were mentioned that I'm like, yep, yep, yep.
- 13:38SPEAKER_03: Because man, I'm gonna say, you know, we're probably one of the fastest growing insurance offices and one of them in the United States.
- 13:45SPEAKER_04: You want to give a shout-out to who had it before?
- 13:47SPEAKER_04: Mark?
- 13:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Mark Stern.
- 13:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, Mark Stiran.
- 13:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he was in the community a long time.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: Yep, long time, long time uh state farm agent.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: His dad was also an agent before.
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: That that office as it sits today, for anybody that ever stops by, has sat about and it looks looks different now, but since about the 1960s.
- 14:03SPEAKER_03: So it's pretty it's pretty cool.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: To where I was told from day one, you know, you got big shoes to fill, you got big shoes to fill, and and and hopefully I've filled some of those shoes.
- 14:11SPEAKER_04: I think you've already made a uh a big impact in that community.
- 14:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
- 14:16SPEAKER_04: In in the whole community, because it's not just Litchfield.
- 14:18SPEAKER_04: It no, yeah.
- 14:19SPEAKER_04: We're you're impacting everywhere.
- 14:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we have customers up in Chicago even, which is kind of crazy to see.
- 14:24SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, absolutely everywhere.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: And that that seven-step thing, that I'll take that with me because yeah, I love that, because that's like, yep, yep, yep.
- 14:31SPEAKER_03: And going to the coffee business as well, yes.
- 14:33SPEAKER_03: The the main difference I've seen, because there's multiple different types of businesses.
- 14:37SPEAKER_03: The insurance business is kind of like a subscription type business, right?
- 14:41SPEAKER_03: Um, to where the the coffee business is more it's keeping it fresh, it's keeping it cool, it's flashy, right?
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: And jokingly we say the insurance, the boring insurance business, right?
- 14:51SPEAKER_03: It's very, very important to society, in my opinion, but you know, it's not as fun as getting a drink of coffee.
- 14:56SPEAKER_04: Correct.
- 14:57SPEAKER_04: Exactly, exactly.
- 14:58SPEAKER_04: Ryan, is there any last things um that you want to tell anyone about business before we get into our signature big dog bite, which is just kind of wrapping up some things.
- 15:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I tell you what, my my biggest thing call to action here is just go do something good today, right?
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: Whatever that is.
- 15:13SPEAKER_03: If that's if that's just getting out of bed, right, great, go get out of bed.
- 15:17SPEAKER_03: If that's going and hosting your own fundraiser, go do it.
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: If that's starting your own business, you make making that first step of just the idea and then starting that execution, that'd be my biggest thing, guys, is just go do something today.
- 15:29SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 15:29SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: Don't don't just do your normal thing, go do something extra.
- 15:33SPEAKER_03: Okay, yeah, go do something extra.
- 15:34SPEAKER_04: My my scouting, my uh I was a scout leader for 17 years, and and do a good turn daily was Scott Miller.
- 15:40SPEAKER_04: Love that, right?
- 15:41SPEAKER_04: Love that just and we used to give the the boys a gold coin, not real gold, but on it that said, do a good turn daily.
- 15:47SPEAKER_04: And we tell them put it in your right pocket when you start the day.
- 15:51SPEAKER_04: When you do a good turn, put it in your left pocket.
- 15:53SPEAKER_04: And at the end of the day, if it's still in your right pocket, you didn't do your good turn.
- 15:58SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 15:58SPEAKER_04: And then you just get in that habit.
- 15:59SPEAKER_04: It's about habits, right?
- 16:00SPEAKER_04: Just creating those those good habits.
- 16:02SPEAKER_04: So Ryan, I appreciate it.
- 16:04SPEAKER_04: So, hey, before we wrap things up, I want to give the big dog bite.
- 16:08SPEAKER_04: So, for everybody listening who owns a business or maybe thinking about starting one, what's one piece of advice that you want to give them about building a business that actually becomes part of a community?
- 16:17SPEAKER_04: It's a good question, Chris.
- 16:18SPEAKER_03: I mean, what's coming to mind first is get started, right?
- 16:21SPEAKER_03: If you're thinking about starting a business, this is somebody that's thinking about it, I would say connect with someone, go talk to someone, go on Google, right?
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: Get started.
- 16:30SPEAKER_03: That would be my two-word answer to that.
- 16:31SPEAKER_03: But but what does that mean?
- 16:33SPEAKER_03: It's about going to maybe talking to someone like Chris, talking to me.
- 16:36SPEAKER_03: I I don't know, connecting with someone that is a business owner and saying, I have an idea, what should I do?
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: Now I'm gonna tell you because uh maybe someone comes to me, can people have sometimes they get a little bit mad at me and frustrating me because I am very positive and I try to encourage them, but I also tell them it's gonna be hard.
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right?
- 16:53SPEAKER_03: I say it's gonna be hard, and you need to make sure you know you know everything's not unicorns and rainbows.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: That's what I always say.
- 16:58SPEAKER_03: You know, it you know, and it's great because because the ROI and community involvement, and it's it's fun to see.
- 17:03SPEAKER_03: ROI return on investment.
- 17:04SPEAKER_04: Yeah, sorry, sorry No, we always blow out acronyms so people know what they are, listeners.
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's fun to see my face on a billboard, jokingly.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: And I I've got so many billboards up now that I just drive by them and I don't even notice them half the time.
- 17:14SPEAKER_04: Oh, wait, that was me.
- 17:15SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, it is me.
- 17:16SPEAKER_04: I'm still up there.
- 17:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, point being, um, get started would be my answer to that, Chris.
- 17:21SPEAKER_04: I love it.
- 17:21SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 17:22SPEAKER_04: And that's exactly why we do these community segments because success isn't just about the size of your building, your revenue, or how many employees you have.
- 17:29SPEAKER_04: It's about the impact you have on the people around you.
- 17:32SPEAKER_04: I love that impact, yeah.
- 17:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, definitely.
- 17:34SPEAKER_04: So, Ryan, I appreciate you coming in and talking to us.

- 17:59SPEAKER_04: It's about the business owners who are willing to take a chance.
- 18:02SPEAKER_04: It's about families who are investing in their homes, and it's about people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help build something better right here in our own backyard.
