241. The Divine Stress Test for Job
The Book of Job presents one of the most intense theological narratives in biblical literature: a systematic, multi-layered "stress test" engineered in the heavenly court (Job 1–2). Satan (The Adversary) asserts that Job’s righteousness is merely a transaction—that Job fears God only because God has placed a hedge of protection and prosperity around him.
To refute this claim and demonstrate the reality of disinterested, genuine faith, God permits Satan to strip away Job's security step-by-step. The narrative serves as a divine evaluation of human faith under maximum pressure.
