- 0:38Speaker 4: and Flynn here with you on a football Friday, laundre
- 0:42Speaker 4: tete back in studio. Another great Friday here at Rolsi's.
- 0:48Speaker 5: What's up, Matthew, how you got I'm doing great, super excited,
- 0:52Speaker 5: can't wait to get on campus tomorrow to the stadium.
- 0:57Speaker 5: So we have hear my tail off.
- 0:58Speaker 3: We have a plan.
- 0:59Speaker 5: We got a plan. Not a big deal.
- 1:01Speaker 3: That well, that is a big deal.
- 1:02Speaker 4: It's like twenty four hours, sooner than you normally have
- 1:05Speaker 4: a plan.
- 1:06Speaker 3: For Dame Damn. Proud of you.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Yeah. Actually this market pass came through. Yeah, this is
- 1:09Speaker 5: a little out of character for me. I actually started
- 1:11Speaker 5: getting these tickets months ago because we got a couple
- 1:14Speaker 5: of family members coming up.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Yeah, a little pressure on you.
- 1:17Speaker 5: I had a little pressure on me, and but we
- 1:19Speaker 5: got them. We're ready to roll. And I got a
- 1:21Speaker 5: parking pass it's not the best, but you know it's
- 1:24Speaker 5: the best that drool could do.
- 1:26Speaker 3: The old drool old drool hurly.
- 1:29Speaker 5: So we are we are ready to roll, we are locked,
- 1:32Speaker 5: we are stocked.
- 1:34Speaker 3: I mean, I can't ready to rock.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I can't think of the last time that you went
- 1:37Speaker 4: to a game in person that LSU lost.
- 1:40Speaker 5: That is a that's a really fair point. I don't
- 1:42Speaker 5: know if i've no, I have, I've been. I would
- 1:45Speaker 5: love to BAMA game a while ago.
- 1:48Speaker 3: A while ago, while ago, a while ago ago. Is
- 1:52Speaker 3: that I'll show you an animal.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Uh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but yeah, but that's pretty
- 1:57Speaker 5: good when you know, when the flint comes in, that's
- 2:01Speaker 5: usually pretty good luck.
- 2:02Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. I don't remember you going to
- 2:05Speaker 4: too many games where else. She wasn't victorious, so maybe
- 2:08Speaker 4: just maybe you know, that's what the Tigers need.
- 2:10Speaker 5: I'm excited. So you know, at the ending of this week,
- 2:12Speaker 5: a lot of a lot of negativity around town, around
- 2:16Speaker 5: around the program, because come off a loss, that's that's
- 2:18Speaker 5: what happens. That's the beauty of college sports. That's the
- 2:21Speaker 5: beauty of college football. That's the beauty about having a
- 2:24Speaker 5: passionate fan base. As you get upset when you lose.
- 2:27Speaker 5: That's okay, It's okay to get upset. But you know what,
- 2:30Speaker 5: you got to turn it around. You got to flip
- 2:32Speaker 5: the script. You got to get ready to roll and
- 2:35Speaker 5: get ready to cheer. And I'm excited. Flynn fam is
- 2:39Speaker 5: getting juiced up. We're gonna be loud tomorrow.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Uh yeah, I love it. We'll be in the number. Certainly,
- 2:45Speaker 3: you're gonna have something out there as well, and.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Looking forward to the matchup, looking forward to the opportunity,
- 2:50Speaker 4: as coach Miles would say, to go out there and
- 2:52Speaker 4: be victorious. So we'll break down the game, continue talking
- 2:55Speaker 4: about it. Obviously Saints and Bucks as well. But it
- 2:59Speaker 4: is a big moment. It is going to be a
- 3:00Speaker 4: lot of fun. So we'll certainly get you the breakdown
- 3:02Speaker 4: of the game. Outside of that. Don't know if you
- 3:06Speaker 4: watched Thursday Night football last night.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Oh yeah, don't know if you did.
- 3:10Speaker 4: But the old Bush League Bolts went out there, scored
- 3:13Speaker 4: a lot of points.
- 3:15Speaker 5: They did. They look good. Okay, you know what I think.
- 3:18Speaker 5: I think Justin Herbert might have had a little chip
- 3:20Speaker 5: on his shoulder because of my quarterback rankings.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Let me tell you, in the NFL let me tell
- 3:25Speaker 4: you something. First thing my oldest son said to me
- 3:28Speaker 4: when I saw him yesterday.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Yep.
- 3:29Speaker 4: The very first thing was, did you see coach match rankings?
- 3:36Speaker 5: I said.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, budd, he goes Herbert or ten?
- 3:39Speaker 3: Are you kidding me?
- 3:40Speaker 4: He's like he was three last week? And so you look,
- 3:42Speaker 4: you got one fan that's actually following along long your
- 3:46Speaker 4: power rankings there.
- 3:47Speaker 5: But you know, it is the it's the quarterback Bible
- 3:50Speaker 5: for sure. I know rankings.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:51Speaker 5: And you know what you if you lay a stinker
- 3:53Speaker 5: in a in a gross looking uniform, you slide down
- 3:57Speaker 5: the rankings.
- 3:58Speaker 3: He did throw for four hundred in that yellow uniform.
- 4:01Speaker 3: But I get it.
- 4:02Speaker 5: They all said, you slide down the rankings, is what
- 4:04Speaker 5: I said.
- 4:05Speaker 3: What about last night's uniform? That's pretty sharp.
- 4:07Speaker 5: It looked pretty good. It looked pretty good. I don't
- 4:09Speaker 5: remember it had did the Navy uniforms always have the
- 4:13Speaker 5: number on the helmet?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Uh?
- 4:14Speaker 4: No, So the number is all right. So the whole
- 4:18Speaker 4: story of the number was the A F. L uniforms
- 4:21Speaker 4: that they wore when they initially had them. They had
- 4:23Speaker 4: the number on the side, and so that's why they
- 4:26Speaker 4: brought them back on all helmets.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Sure, okay, but it did.
- 4:29Speaker 3: It did remind me. It did remind me.
- 4:32Speaker 4: It looked good, Okay, more than fine. When you tell
- 4:34Speaker 4: somebody they look fine, they don't.
- 4:36Speaker 5: Okay, So it looked good. It's a classic. It's a
- 4:41Speaker 5: great classic uniform, and I loved seeing it. But it
- 4:45Speaker 5: did the last two weeks, I've made me really appreciate
- 4:47Speaker 5: the Baby Blues. Okay, well, yeah that's fair. I love
- 4:50Speaker 5: that's my favorite, of course. Yeah, it's a great uniform.
- 4:53Speaker 5: It's a great classic uniform.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Remind you of like LT and Lorenzo O'Neil and yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 4: like that.
- 4:58Speaker 5: But now it's like after are following the Savannah banana
- 5:03Speaker 5: uniform game, then go into the classic Navy, which is
- 5:06Speaker 5: a sharp looking uniform. It does make me realize that
- 5:09Speaker 5: the Baby Blues are elite.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Yeah it's called powder blue whatever.
- 5:12Speaker 5: I don't care, but good congratulations on beating Carson Wentz.
- 5:16Speaker 5: He was Dyson.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, top five fixed Super Bowl champs are saying.
- 5:20Speaker 5: I don't know how you knock him off top of
- 5:21Speaker 5: a mountain like that.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Barely they did, barely.
- 5:24Speaker 5: You got Joe alt back that helped.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Oh god, thank god, thank god.
- 5:30Speaker 5: So we'll see we'll see how those power rankings stack
- 5:32Speaker 5: up with the with the Navy uniforms.
- 5:34Speaker 4: You are right though about the broadcast on Thursdays.
- 5:37Speaker 3: It's good. It's good. It is it's good.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I did watch the the alternate cast for a little bit. Yeah, yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 4: it is fun.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Yeah. I don't know what their metrics is. They say
- 5:48Speaker 5: they have like millions of data and analytic points to
- 5:51Speaker 5: determine on you know, who's coming and who's like a
- 5:54Speaker 5: key player on a play. Blah blah blah.
- 5:56Speaker 3: You always get it right. But it's still fun. It's
- 5:57Speaker 3: still fun.
- 5:58Speaker 5: But yeah, like everything to build up to at the
- 6:00Speaker 5: Amazon's Donner a really top drill job. Anyway, Carson Wentz didn't.
- 6:09Speaker 5: He got beat up. He got beat up real bad.
- 6:11Speaker 3: They did. Oh I kind of feel bad for that.
- 6:13Speaker 3: What was the deal though?
- 6:14Speaker 5: So you know, JJ McCarthy first round pick last year,
- 6:20Speaker 5: has extraordinary amount of pressure on him because they haven't
- 6:24Speaker 5: They had a great They had a really good team
- 6:26Speaker 5: last year. Yeah, with a Sam Donald.
- 6:28Speaker 4: They were they fourteen and two, they were lived there
- 6:30Speaker 4: fourteen and two, they were pretty fourteen and three.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Yeah, they were good. I don't know if that's the
- 6:35Speaker 5: record or not, but they were good.
- 6:37Speaker 3: You keep talking.
- 6:37Speaker 5: But they they choose not to re sign Sam Darnald.
- 6:42Speaker 5: They could have franchised tagged him if I wanted to
- 6:44Speaker 5: for very I mean expensive. Obviously they could have franchised him.
- 6:47Speaker 5: They could have signed him back. They said no, we're
- 6:49Speaker 5: not going to And there's also rumors about that was
- 6:52Speaker 5: where Aaron Rodgers wanted to go. Yeah, and they said no,
- 6:55Speaker 5: we're good. So you talked about some pressure on a
- 6:59Speaker 5: kid and some belief in a former first round pick
- 7:02Speaker 5: or like.
- 7:03Speaker 3: A but Matt, Matt. They had to see what they
- 7:06Speaker 3: had in JJ.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Oh, they had to see what they had. That's right,
- 7:09Speaker 5: that's a good one. They had to see what they
- 7:11Speaker 5: had to see what you have? You drafted?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Sure, it doesn't matter that Sam Donald's.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Playing at an incredibly high level and he's continuing to
- 7:19Speaker 4: do so in Seattle.
- 7:20Speaker 3: You had to see what you had.
- 7:21Speaker 5: It's rights. Yeah, you know, so Sam Donald number six
- 7:25Speaker 5: on the rankings.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Uh.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 5: So they do that and then he comes out and
- 7:29Speaker 5: he gets hurt. But we have an ankle injury and
- 7:32Speaker 5: he's missed six games already and he's on the sideline
- 7:36Speaker 5: yesterday in a strange situation, dressed.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Out emergency quarterback.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Yeah, so if he can be the quarterback, can he play?
- 7:45Speaker 5: I don't know, things like they were trying to protect him,
- 7:49Speaker 5: shelter him away from the big bad Chargers. I mean
- 7:53Speaker 5: he did hop he had he got out of the way.
- 7:57Speaker 3: I don't know why. Yeah, I don't know what's going
- 7:59Speaker 3: on with that whole situation.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But you're right, like you do have this, you know,
- 8:02Speaker 4: just huge pressure because of where you were last year.
- 8:05Speaker 4: You were fourteen and three, they draft you in the
- 8:07Speaker 4: first round. When you know when they drafted you, people
- 8:09Speaker 4: are like, oh really, okay, all right? And then he
- 8:13Speaker 4: doesn't play last year off of a meniscus tear, which
- 8:16Speaker 4: typically keeps you out. I mean if it's a full tear,
- 8:22Speaker 4: weeks for sure. But I mean I have meniscus surgery
- 8:24Speaker 4: and played in a Sugar Bowl sure nine days later. Yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 4: I think now I wasn't playing quarterback. I was, well,
- 8:33Speaker 4: I don't know if that matters. I was playing running back.
- 8:35Speaker 4: But yeah, it is a weird deal. I mean last
- 8:38Speaker 4: year it missed like that.
- 8:40Speaker 5: In this ye some injuries that are taking a little
- 8:42Speaker 5: too long to get back on the field. He plays
- 8:44Speaker 5: for like part of the twenty twenty four Saints team
- 8:46Speaker 5: or something.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess so.
- 8:48Speaker 4: I don't know if that's a weird deal there in Minnesota.
- 8:51Speaker 4: But look, I'm not mad that they started Carson Wentz
- 8:53Speaker 4: last night.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Best player on the Chargers team.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I can tell you that. I can tell you that.
- 8:57Speaker 5: So anyway, Yeah, that's good. Good. It was a good
- 9:00Speaker 5: good uh good little kickoff. Get a little send off
- 9:02Speaker 5: into this football Friday and this football weekend. Follow it out.
- 9:05Speaker 5: We're looking for two underdog lens this weekend here in Louisiana.
- 9:11Speaker 5: L s U A and M Saints Bucks, both at home,
- 9:15Speaker 5: both home dogs. Yes, let's go, Yes, let's make it
- 9:18Speaker 5: a good Monday morning.
- 9:19Speaker 4: We'll find a way, all right, we will find a
- 9:22Speaker 4: way to get you to a victory for both What
- 9:27Speaker 4: they have to.
- 9:27Speaker 5: Do we oh, yeah, me and you. Yes, we're gonna
- 9:30Speaker 5: do it.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Yes, and when we say it, we just hope somebody
- 9:34Speaker 4: bottles it up and then shares it with both teams.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, absolutely, let's do it.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Like I mean, you did call Spencer Rattler Spence, so
- 9:43Speaker 4: feels like you are pretty close.
- 9:45Speaker 5: To his face. First question out the case, Spence, what's
- 9:49Speaker 5: the Spence? So do you think people call that.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I think it probably feels yeah, it probably feels like
- 9:56Speaker 5: you would. Yeah, he didn't. He didn't seem like a Spence.
- 10:00Speaker 5: That's true.
- 10:01Speaker 3: That seems kind of cooler than that Spence. But yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 3: for sure either way you caught.
- 10:05Speaker 4: In Spence, they'll they get that. Maybe get inside the
- 10:07Speaker 4: locker room. I feel like you could maybe. So all right,
- 10:10Speaker 4: we will take our first break of the show.
- 10:13Speaker 3: We've got a lot coming your way. We'll really dive into.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Obviously the LSU and Texas A and M matchup, will
- 10:19Speaker 4: go over the injury report because Matthew, there is some
- 10:23Speaker 4: big news there for LSU, something honestly that we were
- 10:27Speaker 4: asking and we were wondering and it didn't make a
- 10:29Speaker 4: whole lot of sense to us, but now I think
- 10:33Speaker 4: it will. When we come back, we'll give you that
- 10:35Speaker 4: news here on OTB Live from Rouses on this football Friday.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Off the bench, all right, go to Supreme Rice dot com.

- 11:10Speaker 4: been doing it here since nineteen thirty six. And you

- 11:30Speaker 5: My wife. You know, it doesn't have to be like
- 11:31Speaker 5: the traditional Louisiana dishes, the gumbo, thet dou feme. She
- 11:35Speaker 5: made a little curry last night with a little Supreme
- 11:37Speaker 5: Rise and let me tell you it kicked it up

- 11:48Speaker 6: Rises soccer's This is off the bench.
- 12:20Speaker 4: All right, welcome back an OTV here live from raus
- 12:22Speaker 4: Is on a football Friday. Go ahead, tell the people.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Somebody came up here and said they like fifteen. It's
- 12:30Speaker 4: their favorite number.
- 12:31Speaker 5: All right. We just had somebody come and say, hi,
- 12:33Speaker 5: take your hand, and that big enough.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Already.
- 12:35Speaker 5: They're coming in here to shop for their groceries or
- 12:37Speaker 5: tailgating fodder, whatever you want to call it, their groceries
- 12:41Speaker 5: right here, and they wanted to come stay hi, and
- 12:42Speaker 5: they wanted to say make sure that we knew that
- 12:45Speaker 5: fifteen the number fifteen is better than they did.
- 12:48Speaker 4: I didn't hear that, but I didn't hear that, but
- 12:51Speaker 4: she's a big moth flaan I did.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Matt. I got a question, man, I got a question
- 12:55Speaker 5: for you. I got to answer, well, this is I
- 12:57Speaker 5: don't want to go back. And we just we talked
- 12:59Speaker 5: about the night game. I got a question for you
- 13:01Speaker 5: just from a like a leadership a quarterback standpoint. Carson
- 13:06Speaker 5: wentz body language.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Oh J Cutler levels.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Okay, So it was so I'm not even gonna say
- 13:14Speaker 5: bad because I don't want like I think it's probably
- 13:17Speaker 5: an opinion situation here for a quarterback. You know, quarterback who,
- 13:21Speaker 5: whether you want it or not, is a leader of
- 13:22Speaker 5: a team, is crying on the sideline. Yeah, And there's
- 13:25Speaker 5: a lot of emotion that goes, Like you put a
- 13:27Speaker 5: lot of work, you put your heart and soul, and
- 13:29Speaker 5: I know his he's had a tumultuous career and a
- 13:31Speaker 5: lot of times like it's his last chance. Maybe so,
- 13:34Speaker 5: And like a lot of times on prime time, like
- 13:36Speaker 5: emotions build up like I had when I had come
- 13:38Speaker 5: back to the Packers after being at a Seattle situation
- 13:41Speaker 5: that did work out, went to Oakland that was awful,
- 13:44Speaker 5: and I came back. I was emotional after a game
- 13:46Speaker 5: that I had played in and we had won and
- 13:48Speaker 5: the game Cowboys, Yeah, Cowboys. I was emotional ato that,
- 13:51Speaker 5: and like just there's a lot of things that go
- 13:53Speaker 5: into it, but for the game is still going yeah right, yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 5: like midway through the Yeah, And like you see that
- 14:01Speaker 5: from anybody on the team, but especially like a quarterback
- 14:04Speaker 5: even so much like Kirk k Herbstreek brought it up. That's
- 14:06Speaker 5: the only reason I'm bring it because Kirk was talking
- 14:08Speaker 5: about it. He's like, as a quarterback, as a leader,
- 14:10Speaker 5: you can't cry on the sideline like during the game,
- 14:13Speaker 5: Yeah he got it. Got to save that for because
- 14:16Speaker 5: what does that say?
- 14:16Speaker 4: Because everybody else is looking at you, right, you're the
- 14:18Speaker 4: only guy that has the entire era of the team.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Yeah, nobody else does. It can be.
- 14:25Speaker 4: It could be the most badass defensive player out there
- 14:29Speaker 4: and it doesn't matter.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Like he's got a lot of it, but it doesn't
- 14:31Speaker 3: have all of it.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Right, So, like the quarterbacks, truly like the only guy
- 14:34Speaker 4: any team I've ever been a part of, if anybody
- 14:37Speaker 4: got in front of the entire team and not just
- 14:40Speaker 4: their unit, it was a quarterback.
- 14:41Speaker 3: So to your point, when you see the quarterback.
- 14:43Speaker 4: You're like, oh man, he's like he's really crying, Like
- 14:47Speaker 4: it looked like any emotion are he's slamming his helmet
- 14:51Speaker 4: or he's doing whatever.
- 14:52Speaker 3: It's like, But we need you to real it in
- 14:54Speaker 3: like we're kind.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Of following you right now, and it doesn't look like
- 14:57Speaker 4: you're ready for us to follow and you're not ready.
- 15:00Speaker 5: The lead, right, Like quarterbacks s lines his helmet, then
- 15:02Speaker 5: you you might see about seven eight other guys start
- 15:04Speaker 5: slamming the helmets because they're like, oh, it's it's all right.
- 15:07Speaker 5: But you know, I just found it interesting, like the
- 15:09Speaker 5: psychology behind it, behind the player, behind a quarterback who's
- 15:14Speaker 5: a backup being thrust in there, a second year guy
- 15:17Speaker 5: who's injured has the C on his chest, the backup
- 15:20Speaker 5: whose experience who has been in an MVP talks, has
- 15:24Speaker 5: had this career of you know, albeit not great in
- 15:26Speaker 5: the last handful of years. He's the one that's in
- 15:29Speaker 5: the backup, but you're looked at as the leader because
- 15:32Speaker 5: you're starting, and you started for multiple games now. And
- 15:34Speaker 5: I just found it interesting how it was kind of
- 15:37Speaker 5: so obvious and clear that Kirk Kirbshert, who is the
- 15:42Speaker 5: most professional and professional game callers, yeah color guys and
- 15:46Speaker 5: one of the like, I think he's the best in college, NFL,
- 15:50Speaker 5: whatever it is. I enjoy listening to him most on
- 15:53Speaker 5: games that he I don't know, Jim, I don't know.
- 15:56Speaker 5: I don't know. I just found it interesting that he
- 16:00Speaker 5: thought so much of it that he brought it up. Yeah,
- 16:02Speaker 5: I an alarm on for some reason. I'm bad anyway,
- 16:06Speaker 5: So like, yeah, he saw that like showing as a
- 16:08Speaker 5: football player, showing emotions on the sideline while the game's
- 16:11Speaker 5: still going. Yeah, of course after the game is one
- 16:13Speaker 5: thing yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Right, for sure.
- 16:14Speaker 4: So it's a little unfair to y'all as a quarterback.
- 16:17Speaker 4: But also y'all are the franchise players. Y'all do make
- 16:20Speaker 4: the most amount of money. Like Carson Wentz, even though
- 16:23Speaker 4: he's a backups probably making more than eighty five percent
- 16:28Speaker 4: of the starters per year salary. I would say, like
- 16:31Speaker 4: it might be a one year deal, but per year salary,
- 16:33Speaker 4: he's probably making more like eighty five percent.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I know, like most teams I've been on that that
- 16:37Speaker 3: was the case.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Yeah, So like that comes with it, and you have
- 16:41Speaker 4: to understand that he's been in the league long enough.
- 16:42Speaker 3: He certainly led teams.
- 16:44Speaker 4: I mean, he did like play at an MVP level.
- 16:46Speaker 4: The year they went to the Super Bowl.
- 16:47Speaker 3: He just got hurt.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Nick Foles comes in, so we know the rest of
- 16:50Speaker 4: the story there. But it is one of those deals
- 16:52Speaker 4: where if you were showing amotion like that, it's almost
- 16:55Speaker 4: for me if I was on that team, because he
- 16:58Speaker 4: started doing it early, it's like, oh, well we lost
- 17:00Speaker 4: this game. Oh we're done, he's out. We can't reel
- 17:04Speaker 4: that back in.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Ye.
- 17:05Speaker 4: So, yeah, you played by a different standard at that
- 17:07Speaker 4: position for sure. That's why that's why I never really
- 17:09Speaker 4: jobbed with with the way Cutler did things, and I
- 17:12Speaker 4: always kind of joke and bring it up is because
- 17:14Speaker 4: it's like, man, and when you throw an interception, could
- 17:18Speaker 4: you like, could you at least like look like you cared?
- 17:21Speaker 5: I know, you know, I know, I know it was
- 17:24Speaker 5: a weird thing. So I was watching and like, I
- 17:26Speaker 5: didn't necessarily agree with Kirk when he was saying it,
- 17:29Speaker 5: but I understood what he was saying. And then it
- 17:31Speaker 5: kind of especially like after bad body language, after slamming
- 17:34Speaker 5: and slamming a helmet, after things going really really not
- 17:38Speaker 5: your way, right, Yeah, maybe if it's a tight game
- 17:42Speaker 5: close through. It was just it wasn't a good look
- 17:45Speaker 5: for him. And you know, I don't know if I
- 17:49Speaker 5: I didn't know if I agreed with Kirk at the time.
- 17:52Speaker 5: So that's what I'm I'm trying to say. I didn't.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I didn't really have an opinion. I never even thought
- 17:55Speaker 5: about it that way. I just know it's an emotional game,
- 17:57Speaker 5: and people show emotions in different ways. And I don't
- 18:00Speaker 5: think if somebody's shown emotion on the sideline it's always
- 18:03Speaker 5: just like equal, Like one guy shows motion in this game,
- 18:05Speaker 5: it might not be equal to somebody else showed emotion
- 18:07Speaker 5: in another game. It's all about game flows, about how
- 18:09Speaker 5: you presented your body language, presented and played throughout the game. Like,
- 18:15Speaker 5: I don't know it, just I just wanted to get
- 18:17Speaker 5: some feedback there. It's interesting thought from kirkt kirshrue what
- 18:19Speaker 5: I thought.
- 18:20Speaker 3: And like, I'm not saying don't have him. I'm like,
- 18:23Speaker 3: I'm no, I want emotion.
- 18:25Speaker 4: I want you to be but it's you know, use
- 18:28Speaker 4: that emotion towards your teammates to galvanize your teammates, to
- 18:31Speaker 4: get them fired up. You you could be firing and
- 18:33Speaker 4: you can call me out too. If you're the quarterback, right,
- 18:36Speaker 4: hey do your one eleven Like I put the ball
- 18:38Speaker 4: in your hands, like we.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Got to make those plays.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Hey, next time, I'm coming right back there. I'm gonna
- 18:42Speaker 4: put on your hands and you're gonna catch it.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Like I like that.
- 18:45Speaker 4: But yeah, if you're doing the other way, it's like, hey, hey,
- 18:48Speaker 4: my guy.
- 18:49Speaker 3: We need you. Like if you're over here.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Feeling sorry for yourself, that's not gonna help us right now.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Yepy No, I've not done well with that.
- 18:57Speaker 5: No. Yeah, and we got a game next week. Yeah,
- 18:59Speaker 5: and we got we got like eleven or twelve more games.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Yes, so our quarterback situation is not great. They got
- 19:07Speaker 4: we draft from the first rounds, the emergency third quarterback.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Vertical on this Yeah, is he healthy? Is he not
- 19:15Speaker 3: flying rounds? Right there?
- 19:17Speaker 5: Come on? Get here?
- 19:18Speaker 4: So yeah, I definitely noticed that, and uh, that's not great.
- 19:23Speaker 3: It's not what you want.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Yeah, but you're right. It might have been one of
- 19:26Speaker 5: those situations where he was like, my role, my road
- 19:29Speaker 5: has taken me, my path has led me this way.
- 19:31Speaker 5: I have this opportunity that's been gifted to me with
- 19:34Speaker 5: a really good team. We just I'm just not getting
- 19:38Speaker 5: it done. And it might be yeah, maybe not the
- 19:42Speaker 5: end of the road, but maybe he felt that way
- 19:43Speaker 5: like this is because JJ's coming back next week.
- 19:45Speaker 3: My game Tam is kind of over potentially.
- 19:49Speaker 4: But I got, like Carson Wentz, I get it is
- 19:52Speaker 4: probably his last shot, certainly, Like because you're if.
- 19:55Speaker 5: You be an established starter, now he can play.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Right if you had three weeks where you had some
- 19:59Speaker 4: real juice, it's like you were slinging it all over
- 20:01Speaker 4: the place.
- 20:01Speaker 3: I mean, look look around the look at Sam Donald.
- 20:04Speaker 5: Look at that same team with Sam Donald. Yeah, like
- 20:06Speaker 5: you're not going to find it better. Danny Dimes like
- 20:09Speaker 5: play caller offensive mind, I like Kevin o'connelly now, like
- 20:12Speaker 5: this is a this is a great situation. You're throwing
- 20:14Speaker 5: to Justin Jefferson.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Account as your quarterback coach. Like you feel like you
- 20:17Speaker 4: got like the right combination.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Like this was his chance to be Sam Darnold type
- 20:22Speaker 5: of Dandy Dimes.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Whatever. Yeah, yeah, So.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I mad that they had those emotions though it means
- 20:29Speaker 4: the Chargers were playing well. Andy Who's When it comes

- 21:23Speaker 5: the bubble my bubble list. I probably I probably should
- 21:26Speaker 5: have put Jordan Love on the bubble.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Oh god, I saw I saw one Packer fan be like,
- 21:29Speaker 4: here you go.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Then we started looking at it and I didn't realize.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Like in the fourth quarter of the games. Right now,
- 21:34Speaker 5: I think he's leading in like yards and QBR because they're.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Playing from behind against the Cardinals.
- 21:41Speaker 5: They're, like I said yesterday, if the season ended today,

- 25:22Speaker 4: Now you do have the news of Tyree Adams being out,
- 25:26Speaker 4: but we knew that already and it turns out he's
- 25:28Speaker 4: gonna have tightrope surgery.
- 25:30Speaker 3: So not sure when he returns this season.
- 25:32Speaker 4: We have seen this happen with a lot of players
- 25:34Speaker 4: in the past, and we talked about it with doctor Etheriz,
- 25:37Speaker 4: certainly back in it was a twenty nineteen season when
- 25:40Speaker 4: Tua Toko Mailoa I had tightrope surgery. It's like I
- 25:43Speaker 4: felt like I knew everything about tightrope surgery. But we'll
- 25:46Speaker 4: see if Tyree's able to get back.
- 25:49Speaker 5: But they like what Tua did. They were trying to
- 25:51Speaker 5: get him back in like two weeks. Right he did.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Yeah, but we thought dj Chester because that's what we heard.
- 25:57Speaker 4: It's what we said, right, He's going to start at
- 25:59Speaker 4: left tackle. It's not going to be the case. Carrie's
- 26:02Speaker 4: Kern's actually going to start at left tackle, a true freshman.
- 26:06Speaker 4: What's the old saying, by the time you get to
- 26:08Speaker 4: this point in season, ain't no.
- 26:09Speaker 5: More true freshman, more freshmans.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Right, So but dude, this is this is the way
- 26:14Speaker 4: I think it should be. This is a true tackle.
- 26:17Speaker 4: This is somebody that was a five star crew. This
- 26:20Speaker 4: is somebody that you know you recruited to play the position.
- 26:24Speaker 4: And look, that's not disrespectful to DJ Chester.
- 26:27Speaker 3: He is a center slash guard.
- 26:29Speaker 4: He started at center last year, not oftentimes does your
- 26:33Speaker 4: center like Ethan Post. It was like kind of the unicorn,
- 26:37Speaker 4: like he could he could truly play, but he had
- 26:39Speaker 4: a different body type and he found his way back
- 26:42Speaker 4: to center in the NFL. So it's nothing against him.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Like if I was out there playing, you know, safety,
- 26:49Speaker 4: We tried that. Kirby Smart saw me backpedal twice and said, no, sir,
- 26:52Speaker 4: go back over there to Jimbo. Right, everybody's built for
- 26:55Speaker 4: something different.
- 26:56Speaker 3: We know that.
- 26:57Speaker 4: So I know he's a true freshman. I know he
- 27:00Speaker 4: and have the sec starts that DJ Chester has. But
- 27:03Speaker 4: I think this is the way you had to go.
- 27:05Speaker 4: DJ did not play well. Last week in Nashville, we
- 27:08Speaker 4: showed the clips. We played the clips. You're on an
- 27:11Speaker 4: island out there. You have no protection. You're not at
- 27:14Speaker 4: center with guys on both sides. You're not a guard
- 27:17Speaker 4: with guys on both sides. It's a true island. It's
- 27:19Speaker 4: a skill set. This is why you brought this player in.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Let's see where he's at in his development. But I
- 27:25Speaker 4: think it's the right move.
- 27:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I think it's a I think people are a
- 27:32Speaker 5: little bit less alarmed. I guess less confused about him
- 27:35Speaker 5: being moved over there because I think with DJ Chester,
- 27:38Speaker 5: I think the news coming out about him starting at
- 27:41Speaker 5: left tackle going into this game because the top five
- 27:44Speaker 5: matchup was like why, Like why isn't anybody else? Why
- 27:48Speaker 5: isn't there like a true tackle that's prepared and ready
- 27:51Speaker 5: to step in, Like this couldn't have been. This couldn't
- 27:54Speaker 5: have been how you drew up the plan before the season,
- 27:57Speaker 5: Like if something happens to that this, this couldn't have
- 28:01Speaker 5: been the plan. So why are you having a default
- 28:03Speaker 5: to it? Is because he's not ready? Is it because
- 28:06Speaker 5: you know Dj Chester just all of a sudden got
- 28:09Speaker 5: really good at his kickstuff? Like what like what's the
- 28:12Speaker 5: like what happened here? Like why is this? Like it's
- 28:15Speaker 5: that kickstep. It didn't understand And I saw and I
- 28:17Speaker 5: saw your will spend in the last couple of days
- 28:19Speaker 5: on the show trying to figure out what is going on.
- 28:22Speaker 5: You were not like the most I guess confident in it.
- 28:25Speaker 4: So yeah, I just I think it. You know, we
- 28:28Speaker 4: got to have somebody developed to be ready for that position.
- 28:30Speaker 5: But a lot of the narrative in the media, certainly
- 28:34Speaker 5: coming from You've seen it from you, You've heard it
- 28:35Speaker 5: from us, You've heard it from you know, former players
- 28:37Speaker 5: on the socials, is like, we need to play start
- 28:40Speaker 5: playing with an attitude. Well, I think carry is current
- 28:42Speaker 5: and it's time that he has come in. He has
- 28:45Speaker 5: looked like a freshman sum but kind of that freshman
- 28:48Speaker 5: that has nothing really to lose, that is playing hard
- 28:52Speaker 5: and trying to hit people really hard and maybe trying
- 28:55Speaker 5: to create an attitude. So I think it's a really
- 28:58Speaker 5: good move. And i'm i'm I think it's a good
- 29:01Speaker 5: move if he's prepared to do this right, if it's
- 29:04Speaker 5: not gonna if the stage isn't gonna be too big
- 29:05Speaker 5: for him being on an island left tackle, right, you're
- 29:08Speaker 5: at home, that helps, Yeah, certainly.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Obviously a crowd noise and getting your checks.
- 29:12Speaker 5: And just wonder why my curiosity comes from. Why did
- 29:16Speaker 5: earlier in the week they think one thing, and then
- 29:18Speaker 5: all of a sudden on Thursday, you hear no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 29:22Speaker 5: this guy is gonna do it. Actually, maybe he had
- 29:24Speaker 5: a good practice, maybe like man, we're gonna we think
- 29:27Speaker 5: it's gonna be dj Chester. But like, let's see how
- 29:29Speaker 5: the first two practices go of the week, and let's
- 29:31Speaker 5: see how his Let's see how his steps look. Let's
- 29:35Speaker 5: see if he's getting the calls. Let's see how let's
- 29:37Speaker 5: poset some you know, period period twelve. Let's do let's
- 29:41Speaker 5: do one verse one blitz and see how I handles it.
- 29:43Speaker 5: And if he handles the blitz package, well, if he
- 29:45Speaker 5: gets all the calls and he didn't have like three
- 29:47Speaker 5: of three of like all right, let's do that, and
- 29:52Speaker 5: that that's a that's a really realistic situation that I've
- 29:55Speaker 5: seen happen. It's like, let's throw a guy in there
- 29:57Speaker 5: in a pressure situation during the week of a game,
- 30:00Speaker 5: because you're going to have that at least probably what
- 30:04Speaker 5: three or four periods throughout the week. You will go
- 30:07Speaker 5: one on ones. You'll do one on ones in a
- 30:09Speaker 5: two minute situation, usually once a week, in like a
- 30:12Speaker 5: third down passing situation. Will let's pick up something like
- 30:15Speaker 5: that so that they could have been like, let's just
- 30:17Speaker 5: see how it handles the week from a mental standpoint. Physically,
- 30:21Speaker 5: he's a freshman being thought of well enough physically that
- 30:26Speaker 5: he can go play in the sec. So physically, he's
- 30:28Speaker 5: got to have the tools. He has the tools, that's
- 30:31Speaker 5: what they're telling us. He has the tools, but it's
- 30:33Speaker 5: the mental situation. So you know, look, I think that
- 30:37Speaker 5: it's a positive thing because that had to be now
- 30:40Speaker 5: that we're like talking to suit, that had to be
- 30:42Speaker 5: how it played out. They wanted to see him how
- 30:44Speaker 5: he did in practice. That had to be mentally handle it.
- 30:47Speaker 5: So the fact that he is that's a positive thing.
- 30:49Speaker 5: And I think that he's shown in like some run
- 30:51Speaker 5: blocks and some different things, he showed a little bit
- 30:53Speaker 5: of attitude out there. Yeah, and God knows, we kind
- 30:55Speaker 5: of need.
- 30:55Speaker 4: That, No, no question, I think you need that, And
- 30:58Speaker 4: so I think it's the right move. I'm actually excited
- 31:01Speaker 4: to hear that move because like that is somebody that
- 31:04Speaker 4: has played that position, knows that position, and you know,
- 31:08Speaker 4: you hope his development and has him ready to go.
- 31:10Speaker 4: But I mean, that's why you bring somebody like that here.
- 31:12Speaker 4: It's why you bring a five star in and you
- 31:14Speaker 4: want to get them on the field at their natural position,
- 31:16Speaker 4: not having to move people around on the only old
- 31:19Speaker 4: chess board.
- 31:19Speaker 5: This might be this might be like a huge blessing
- 31:22Speaker 5: in disguise for the LSU Tigers for for not only
- 31:25Speaker 5: this season, but for seasons going forward, Like this is
- 31:28Speaker 5: one of those opportunities for him to go in there
- 31:31Speaker 5: and show flashes, show signs, play well enough to never
- 31:34Speaker 5: not play left tackle again.
- 31:36Speaker 4: That's Wally pipp situation and it just gives you a
- 31:44Speaker 4: better opportunity I think on Saturday.
- 31:47Speaker 3: So that is big news. He is going to.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Get the start at left tackle, and you know, left
- 31:52Speaker 4: or right. We'll see what it looks like because you know,
- 31:54Speaker 4: Paul Mwbinga was out and he hadn't gotten back into
- 31:57Speaker 4: the lineup as far as having his starting position back.
- 32:00Speaker 4: So we'll see what five it's going to be on
- 32:03Speaker 4: Saturday against Texas A and M. But that is big,
- 32:06Speaker 4: big news. Now, of course we've talked about the injury report,
- 32:09Speaker 4: and you know, wit Weeks, it didn't look like I mean,
- 32:13Speaker 4: he's not playing right, I mean doubtful hasn't practiced all week,
- 32:17Speaker 4: So that one you don't get any good news on
- 32:20Speaker 4: and last week. This week feels like a pretty big
- 32:24Speaker 4: wit Weeks game, knowing what he does, knowing how athletic
- 32:27Speaker 4: he is right there in the middle. I mean, we're
- 32:29Speaker 4: watching twenty twenty three A and M tape yesterday and
- 32:32Speaker 4: there's freshman wit Weeks all over the place, flying around.
- 32:36Speaker 4: So there's Look, there's nothing that we're going to go
- 32:38Speaker 4: in here and say it's going to make you feel
- 32:39Speaker 4: better about wit Weeks missing this game, because again, like
- 32:43Speaker 4: when you have a quarterback that can playoff schedule like that,
- 32:45Speaker 4: you want to have your All American athletic, physical linebacker
- 32:49Speaker 4: in there. But LSU's gonna have to find a way
- 32:52Speaker 4: to improve on the things that you know got them
- 32:54Speaker 4: in trouble a bit. Because you go back and if
- 32:58Speaker 4: you chart last week's game when it was just an
- 33:01Speaker 4: on schedule play, LSU did really well, like just a
- 33:06Speaker 4: any run that Vanderbilt had, any pass that they had
- 33:09Speaker 4: on schedule plays, LSU won that battle. Vanderbilt won the
- 33:14Speaker 4: battle when it was off schedule, whenever Diego Pavia was
- 33:17Speaker 4: creating in the backfield, whenever Diego Pavia would buy extra
- 33:20Speaker 4: time and then get the ball to his backs, to
- 33:22Speaker 4: his tight ends. Like the receivers didn't do a whole lot.
- 33:25Speaker 4: But that's what you got to worry about this week.
- 33:27Speaker 4: That's what you want to clean up again. When you
- 33:30Speaker 4: had your play called and you look, I mean some
- 33:33Speaker 4: of the blitzes that we talked about, right, if you
- 33:35Speaker 4: just rush with outside leverage up the upfield shoulder, ye,
- 33:39Speaker 4: I'd like a little bit. I'd like to see what
- 33:41Speaker 4: the results would have been. So it's not like you
- 33:44Speaker 4: just got thrashed up and down the field.
- 33:47Speaker 3: But you got to play in the chaos.
- 33:49Speaker 4: Certainly against quarterbacks like you've played the last couple of weeks.
- 33:51Speaker 5: Yeah, it wasn't one of those dominant offensive performance of it,
- 33:55Speaker 5: Like Vanderbilt didn't play like a dominant like textbook like
- 33:58Speaker 5: this is how you run offense. Watch watch Pavia get
- 34:01Speaker 5: through his third read and get to the checkdown. Now,
- 34:03Speaker 5: it was like it was chaos. It was controlled chaos
- 34:06Speaker 5: for them and chaos for our defense. Uh, And they
- 34:09Speaker 5: didn't always handle it well. But like you like you
- 34:12Speaker 5: may make a really good point, like when they were
- 34:14Speaker 5: on schedule, Like our defense was was really really good
- 34:17Speaker 5: and we have been all year. But I think and
- 34:20Speaker 5: it's really good tape to watch, especially going into this
- 34:23Speaker 5: this week with Marcel Reid, Like you have to take
- 34:26Speaker 5: really good angles and then Marcell's got a little bit more,
- 34:29Speaker 5: a little bit more like you got a little bit
- 34:31Speaker 5: more explosive. We talked about before the Vanderbilt game, like
- 34:34Speaker 5: Pavia is not going to be like this out running
- 34:36Speaker 5: to the edge like threat for a big explosive type
- 34:39Speaker 5: game with his feet, but he can make explosive games
- 34:42Speaker 5: because he's using your mind if you make little mistakes
- 34:44Speaker 5: kind of like his running up the middle for a touchdown,
- 34:46Speaker 5: Like like if you make little mistakes, he can get you.
- 34:49Speaker 5: Marcel can do it athletically, So you have to be
- 34:52Speaker 5: extremely disciplined. But you know, our our back end, our
- 34:56Speaker 5: secondary is so good that like it's tough for people
- 35:00Speaker 5: to just march down the field on time, on rhythm
- 35:04Speaker 5: in the passing game, especially if you can stop the
- 35:07Speaker 5: run and be competent there. So you have to get
- 35:10Speaker 5: better at the on sched and I don't know how
- 35:12Speaker 5: you do that. You know, there's you have to create
- 35:15Speaker 5: confusion and you have to your rush lanes have to
- 35:19Speaker 5: be extremely, extremely disciplined. When you rush as a defensive end,
- 35:24Speaker 5: you need to rush to his level, not past his level.
- 35:27Speaker 5: What do I mean by pass level? If he's on
- 35:31Speaker 5: if he's on his side of the field, if he's
- 35:33Speaker 5: on the Texas A and mside the field, and he's
- 35:35Speaker 5: on the thirty yard line, you don't rush past the
- 35:38Speaker 5: thirty yard line. You stop your rush at the thirty
- 35:41Speaker 5: yard line. Because what he wants to do the easiest
- 35:43Speaker 5: way for him to create chaos and use his feet
- 35:46Speaker 5: is a step up in the pocket. They ca him
- 35:48Speaker 5: go over and around the pocket. And then you got
- 35:51Speaker 5: to be disciplined with angles. And that's where we kind
- 35:53Speaker 5: of slept a little bit against Vanderbilt when he when
- 35:55Speaker 5: Pave had to rush outside of the pocket. Our angles
- 35:58Speaker 5: to keep him inside the pocket were bad. We rushed
- 36:01Speaker 5: inside shoulder not outside should right.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean a couple of those corner cats.
- 36:05Speaker 4: You go back and watch them all on tape, and
- 36:06Speaker 4: you've got a free shot. I know one time Perk
- 36:09Speaker 4: came off the edge from his star position and they
- 36:13Speaker 4: went inside and Diego. Pobby is a veteran quarterback. I
- 36:17Speaker 4: mean all jokes side hell, he's twenty four years old.
- 36:19Speaker 4: He's seen the lights wait six years of college football.
- 36:21Speaker 4: So he would wait and he saw the inside and
- 36:24Speaker 4: then he would spin out and he would go make
- 36:27Speaker 4: the play.
- 36:27Speaker 5: Like.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Those are the small, little minor details that you got
- 36:30Speaker 4: to make sure, like in this week and this quarterback,
- 36:32Speaker 4: in this offense, that you get done. So plays are there,
- 36:36Speaker 4: they're there to be made. We'll see if lsu oh,
- 36:38Speaker 4: they're gonna make and those plays this weekend.
- 36:41Speaker 5: They're gonna make Marcel Reid's live hell, all right, he
- 36:44Speaker 5: got revenge to give to him from last year. Buddy.
- 36:47Speaker 5: They do rainge game.
- 36:48Speaker 3: They certainly do. They certainly do. All right. We will
- 36:51Speaker 3: step away more live here from.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Rouse's OTB Football Friday.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Stay locked in. We'll be back off the bench.

- 38:37Speaker 3: Okay?
- 38:38Speaker 5: What do you think the people here working at rouses
- 38:40Speaker 5: and shopping rouses, and they look over here and they see.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Me like my head bobbing like full blown radio.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Looks like a like this guy's are like a silent
- 38:50Speaker 5: disco over there or what because like we fall on
- 38:52Speaker 5: rock out of here.
- 38:55Speaker 4: I don't know whatever, just wait till we bring back
- 39:00Speaker 4: the funk in the last segment.
- 39:03Speaker 5: Oh my god, themselves. I always forget about that on Friday.
- 39:07Speaker 5: Then it makes me so happy when that's all.
- 39:08Speaker 4: You're not going to know what to do with themselves
- 39:10Speaker 4: when that happens.
- 39:11Speaker 3: So we'll bless them.
- 39:13Speaker 4: They get blessed hashtag blessed with five Yes fan five
- 39:19Speaker 4: five ib fan five.
- 39:23Speaker 5: It's like me say, in NFL football, Oh all.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Right, that's like a little bit of the slate coming
- 39:33Speaker 4: up in college football this weekend.
- 39:36Speaker 3: You got old Miss Oklahoma.
- 39:38Speaker 4: You got UCLA Indiana, which I keep bringing up, I
- 39:43Speaker 4: know every single day. I just think it's going to
- 39:44Speaker 4: be highly intriguing. Alabama South Carolina. South Carolina put up
- 39:48Speaker 4: any fight at home.
- 39:49Speaker 5: No, Alabama munt win by forty.
- 39:52Speaker 3: It's eleven and a half point line.
- 39:54Speaker 5: I'll take it.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Are you thinking about that one for the old Ponting.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Yeah, now I am. You know, I don't. I don't
- 40:05Speaker 5: start diving into the numbers till the commercial break before.
- 40:10Speaker 3: That's when I really start diving in. It's just what
- 40:12Speaker 3: the people want to hear.
- 40:13Speaker 5: I think I have a winning record, though not a
- 40:15Speaker 5: big deal. I know Landra does. I think. I don't know.
- 40:20Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 40:21Speaker 4: I do much better on our on the picks that
- 40:25Speaker 4: Marler sends out and we.
- 40:27Speaker 5: Get back right before yep, right before the game starts.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Do better on those. I do better on those.
- 40:35Speaker 5: Uh So, yeah, I know that no chance, no chance
- 40:38Speaker 5: for South Carolina. And I'm I'm an apologist here, but yeah,
- 40:43Speaker 5: the Bama's good. Ty Simpson really good. And I saw
- 40:50Speaker 5: someone the other day actually say this is a little blasphemy,
- 40:53Speaker 5: I think, but somebody say that they hadn't seen quarterback
- 40:56Speaker 5: tape as this like this, this good. They were scouting
- 41:01Speaker 5: Burrow coming out, which is a pretty bold statement and
- 41:05Speaker 5: not true at all. But it just shows you that
- 41:07Speaker 5: someone even like making mention of that, trying to make comparison,
- 41:10Speaker 5: whether he's trying to make headlines or whatever, get some
- 41:13Speaker 5: clicks or whatever, it just makes mention of how good
- 41:15Speaker 5: he is playing, just to like even somebody can get
- 41:17Speaker 5: away with saying something like that, So, yeah, he's playing good.
- 41:20Speaker 5: So he's one of those guys that a lot of
- 41:22Speaker 5: people still haven't really sat down and watched, but you
- 41:26Speaker 5: need to take note.
- 41:28Speaker 3: This guy loves Alabama this year.
- 41:33Speaker 5: I don't love them. I just have to say how
- 41:37Speaker 5: I feel about their football team.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Yeah, loves them. He is really good though, Yeah, he's
- 41:45Speaker 3: really good. He was the difference in the Missouri game.
- 41:48Speaker 4: Yeah, those fourth down plays that he made, the throws
- 41:50Speaker 4: that he made on those downs. So I mean, if
- 41:53Speaker 4: you're Alabama, the thing that you know you got to
- 41:56Speaker 4: stay away from. You've had like all these ranked on
- 41:58Speaker 4: rank matchups four straight and you go to sleepy South
- 42:01Speaker 4: Carolinas where you're thinking, like Willy B He's still gonna
- 42:04Speaker 4: have people in there. It's not a night game, but
- 42:06Speaker 4: still it's gonna be a full stadium.
- 42:08Speaker 3: It always is, So we'll see.
- 42:10Speaker 4: I don't expect them to have any trouble either with
- 42:13Speaker 4: South Carolina. What about Texas and Mississippi State, this one
- 42:17Speaker 4: in Stardville, Texas. I mean certainly just been getting by
- 42:22Speaker 4: with just enough and some of their wins. This line
- 42:25Speaker 4: was at seven and a half, now down to six
- 42:27Speaker 4: and a half. It's in Startville. Like I said, Mississippi
- 42:31Speaker 4: State and Jeff Leby looking for their first sec win
- 42:34Speaker 4: of his tenure.
- 42:36Speaker 3: This is they've been close too.
- 42:37Speaker 5: This is certainly a winnable game for them, And that's
- 42:40Speaker 5: kind of wild to say if you would have said
- 42:42Speaker 5: that before the season started with Texas pretty much number
- 42:45Speaker 5: one on all the rankings. Yeah, but Mississippi State has
- 42:48Speaker 5: been may what a what a nice job Jeff Levy,
- 42:52Speaker 5: my guy has been doing over there in Starkville. They've
- 42:55Speaker 5: been extremely dangerous. They've been close. They've been close. They've
- 42:59Speaker 5: been close. They should have last week. Oh my god.
- 43:01Speaker 5: Well and look we got rivers here today. It's going up,
- 43:04Speaker 5: I think, going up to Starkville for the game, So
- 43:06Speaker 5: I'll be cheering for Mississippi State to get it done.
- 43:10Speaker 5: I think it's kind of fun when you see when
- 43:13Speaker 5: you see teams that were maybe a little overhyped, over ranked,
- 43:19Speaker 5: and make no apologies about it's kind of fun to
- 43:21Speaker 5: see Texas lose. So it'd be fun to get Mississippi
- 43:24Speaker 5: State to finally put one together. And they've been closed,
- 43:27Speaker 5: they've been closed, they've been closed to put it together,
- 43:29Speaker 5: get a big win.
- 43:30Speaker 4: A game that is outside of the SEC that I
- 43:33Speaker 4: think a lot of people should pay attention to because
- 43:36Speaker 4: there's not a lot as far as the primetime slate,
- 43:39Speaker 4: there's just not a lot of juice.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Every kind of big game is either early or right there.
- 43:43Speaker 4: In midday it is six and one Houston traveling to
- 43:47Speaker 4: five and two ranked Arizona State. Arizona State seven and
- 43:50Speaker 4: a half point favor but Houston right now kind of undervalue.
- 43:56Speaker 3: I love it.
- 43:56Speaker 4: I love I think it's gonna be a really good
- 43:57Speaker 4: football game.
- 43:58Speaker 3: I love the Big twelve. It's a great break.
- 44:01Speaker 4: It's funny the Big twelve for so long was do
- 44:03Speaker 4: they even play defense? And now it's like three yards
- 44:06Speaker 4: and a cloud of dust in some of these big
- 44:08Speaker 4: marquee matchups, like twenty to seventeen final score lines. So yeah,
- 44:12Speaker 4: I think it's gonna be just that. And look, I
- 44:14Speaker 4: love love Willie Fritz. He is, I mean one of
- 44:17Speaker 4: my favorite all time coaches. Like I love interviewing that guy.
- 44:20Speaker 3: I tell you, he.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Talks like this and he's you know, I've been coaching
- 44:23Speaker 4: ball for thirty years and it's like that guy's been coaching.
- 44:27Speaker 4: He like his voice just left him and just left
- 44:31Speaker 4: him years ago and he's never gotten it back. And
- 44:33Speaker 4: that's one of my favorite guys. So yeah, I think
- 44:35Speaker 4: it's gonna be a heck of a game. And again,
- 44:37Speaker 4: what are you gonna watch Tennessee at Kentucky or Houston
- 44:40Speaker 4: and Airs.
- 44:40Speaker 5: I'm staying the Houston. I think we all saw the
- 44:42Speaker 5: special on game Day a couple of weeks ago about
- 44:44Speaker 5: their strength coach Kurt Hester. Of course, Louisiana Tye. I've
- 44:47Speaker 5: been meant so much to that that world and the
- 44:50Speaker 5: battle with cancer that he's been dealing with and kicking
- 44:53Speaker 5: its butt. Yeah, and just great for him. Great, it's
- 44:57Speaker 5: a great story. That program is great, Storry. I hope
- 44:59Speaker 5: they continue to go and I hope they can pull
- 45:01Speaker 5: one out because yeah, like you said, the Big Twelve
- 45:03Speaker 5: is awesome.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Well, it's one of the games certainly to watch, i
- 45:07Speaker 4: think on the late night slate because there's just not
- 45:10Speaker 4: a lot of games outside of that.
- 45:12Speaker 3: They're going to have a lot.
- 45:13Speaker 4: Of momentum, So looking forward to that one. The other
- 45:15Speaker 4: one in the Big Twelve is BYU at Iowa State.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Iowa State two and a half point favorite BYU probably
- 45:22Speaker 4: loving the fact that they are underdogs yet again, their
- 45:24Speaker 4: coaching staff loves that they can coach to it because
- 45:27Speaker 4: they won the Holy War last week.
- 45:29Speaker 3: And hey, if you want to read your headlines. Go ahead.
- 45:31Speaker 4: They think so much of you that they put you
- 45:34Speaker 4: as an underdog against.
- 45:35Speaker 3: A team it's not even in top twenty five. Yeah,
- 45:36Speaker 3: oh they're good.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Yeah. Coming off in like an emotional win like that,
- 45:39Speaker 5: it's like this is the prime position for an emotional
- 45:41Speaker 5: let down, A little trap game. He coming out off
- 45:44Speaker 5: the Holy War. Big win, but a good way for
- 45:46Speaker 5: a coach to easily motivate your team to say, hey man,
- 45:48Speaker 5: you're eleven in the country, but you're going on the
- 45:50Speaker 5: road and you're an underdog. They have no respect for you.
- 45:54Speaker 5: So that is motivation for every single person sitting in
- 45:56Speaker 5: those seats.
- 45:57Speaker 3: More OTB when we come back live from Rouses
- 46:00Speaker 6: Off the Bench,
