- 0:12is advised. Now, here's No ID with Paul Banducci
- 0:19and Scott Moskowitz. Hey, welcome back. It's
- 0:27No ID, North Idaho's mainstream narrative media
- 0:31deconstruction of Scott. Hello Internet, I'm
- 0:35Paul. What a beautiful day. Another day, another
- 0:41outraged mob, Scott. They're all over the place.
- 0:45The NPCs, they're out in force. You can see the
- 0:47glow from their torches. Just once, just once,
- 0:52I wish the NPCs would actually be outraged about
- 0:54the things that they should be outraged about.
- 0:57Things that matter, like paying rent to the government,
- 0:59calling it property taxes, or... wanting to do
- 1:03anything really on their own property and being
- 1:05told they need a permit or having money stolen
- 1:09for every hour of their life they are productive
- 1:12or having their currency manipulated every minute
- 1:15of every day and just print it out of thin air
- 1:18like it's nothing because spoiler alert it is
- 1:23one can dream Well, I have a perfect property
- 1:27tax clip just to piggyback random what you're
- 1:30saying. Neighbors in Boise could soon be paying
- 1:32more in property taxes, and city leaders say
- 1:35it's part of balancing a budget with growing
- 1:37demands. I'm senior reporter Riley Shoemaker,
- 1:40and I am talking with Boiseans downtown to see
- 1:42what they think about paying more. Property taxes
- 1:45are a major source of revenue for the city of
- 1:47Boise. Wait, I already know. Hold on. What are
- 1:52the, okay, how many of them? This will be a I
- 1:55don't know. This is an ask Scott. I guess what's
- 1:58what do you what do you think the over -under
- 1:59is on? How many of these? NPCs living in Boise
- 2:03will say well, it's the price we pay for living
- 2:07in civilization I Put at least it depending on
- 2:11how many of the interview I don't know how many
- 2:13you're gonna give us here, but if they interview
- 2:15five Two for sure will for sure to if they interview
- 2:19three one for sure will possibly still to That's,
- 2:23that's the bet I'm taking. Do you want to take
- 2:25that bet? I can't take a bet. I'm guaranteed
- 2:29to lose. No, that's fine. That's fair. That's
- 2:32fair. I just, I was offering a betting line and
- 2:34I wanted, you know, we have offered some action.
- 2:36If you wanted to take it, it was yours, but I
- 2:38understand. I wouldn't bet against me on this
- 2:39one either. This by the way, or at all, because
- 2:43this is Idaho and betting is illegal. Oh yeah.
- 2:45We don't do that here. I'll meet you at state
- 2:47gambling allowed. We can in the, the parking
- 2:50lot of a, uh, of a gas station at state line,
- 2:53we can make the wager there. How about that?
- 2:56I'm in. This, by the way, this is from Idaho
- 2:58News 6 down in southern Idaho. And they the story
- 3:02is that the the proposal on the table, you'll
- 3:05you'll never guess is to the maximum allowed
- 3:08increase, the three percent per Idaho state laws,
- 3:11the maximum you can increase it. That's what
- 3:13the city of Boise wants to do in the last show.
- 3:15That we did we report it was the ask Paul from
- 3:19last show was about the severance package recently
- 3:21given to one of the lackeys that Left the city
- 3:25and went to some other city in Idaho and was
- 3:28given about two hundred thousand dollars in severance
- 3:31Between just cash money plus accrued leave -in
- 3:34benefits and all those things So when they say
- 3:37the budget You know the the is a very important
- 3:41source of revenue so that they can deliver services
- 3:43Remember that wrapped up in the services is massive
- 3:47severance packages for administrative employees
- 3:49in addition to potholes. Oh I bet you they spend
- 3:56significantly less on potholes than they do on
- 4:00personnel expenses You know as such value for
- 4:04value the model that this show runs on I did
- 4:07receive a Somebody had clipped that a dude named
- 4:11Jeff sent me a clip that he made and it was of
- 4:15that particular that segment and that's when
- 4:19something tickles your funny bone or something
- 4:20stands out to you or whatever catches your ear
- 4:23and you take to your keyboard or take to your
- 4:26phone to send us stuff along those lines whether
- 4:29you have a boots on the ground response because
- 4:31it's something you know about or you make a clip
- 4:33of it like a dude named Jeff did or anything
- 4:36of the sort. We have a donation along those lines
- 4:38later in the show. That is value returned and
- 4:40that's the value for value model that the show
- 4:42runs on. So thanks dude named Jeff. It actually
- 4:46is a clipping tool that he made I have to hold
- 4:50on. Let me look at the name of it here because
- 4:51it's at the end of the clip I mean like a program
- 4:53that he got program. Yeah, he built it and Wow,
- 4:57dude named Jeff talented and handsome he is as
- 5:02a matter of fact and he He made this pro. It's
- 5:05called Clipperoni Clipperoni calm and what it
- 5:08did is it it's pretty cool. I posted it for names
- 5:12I posted it to A for app, F for name, dude named
- 5:16Jeff. You should have consulted us first before
- 5:19you named that thing. We could have done better
- 5:21for you. What's wrong with Clipperoni? We could
- 5:23have valued you. There's so much better material
- 5:28out there. Clipadian bacon? Clipindia? The cool
- 5:38part about it is that it auto -populates like
- 5:41a bunch of B -roll. So in the clip, which was
- 5:43us playing an NPR report on this massive severance
- 5:47package of many that the city of Boise doles
- 5:50out to the people that Lauren McLean likes doling
- 5:53it out to. And it's not just the city of Boise,
- 5:56it's every city. Take a look at any city you
- 6:00live in and shit happens. Yes, it's not unique
- 6:03to Boise. but what's cool about the clip is there's
- 6:07a bunch of b -roll integrated into it so like
- 6:09you know the city of Boise and then the clip
- 6:11shows the what is it the capital and then it's
- 6:16you know like oh when administrators and then
- 6:18it's showing a desk and it's showing someone
- 6:20working at a desk and the the program that dude
- 6:22named jeff built auto populates all of this b
- 6:25-roll in addition to the transcript and anyway
- 6:28it's cool and i posted it on that is clever so
- 6:31it's audio or excuse me so it's visual and audio
- 6:33it's it's uh it's video i guess not exactly the
- 6:38auto -populated b -roll is it Is it AI generated
- 6:41or is it, um, yeah, it is, you know, where he's,
- 6:44he's muck raked through all the B roll out there
- 6:47and, you know, put it all together and it's just
- 6:49there at his disposal. I think it's, I think
- 6:51it's AI generated. He said, um, it's still cool.
- 6:55It's cool. And he, so what did he said? I, uh,
- 6:57we had a little back and forth on it. He said,
- 6:59uh, I should have tweaked the B roll prompts
- 7:02to be more fun or dramatic, but I wanted to see
- 7:04what it would do without my input. So it was
- 7:07just a just a single prompt and then it was all
- 7:09auto generated. But it sounds like he's he's
- 7:11tweaking it and made some improvements to it
- 7:13recently. And it sounds like it's going to be
- 7:15a tool that is made for the public to use. Rock
- 7:20on. Way to go. Thanks. Thanks, Jeff. For sending
- 7:24that in. And in the meantime, back to this Idaho
- 7:26News 6 clip about Boise. Unlike Boise bureaucrats,
- 7:29you sure user are a actual contributor to society.
- 7:33So thank you. and I am talking with Boiseans
- 7:36downtown to see what they think about paying
- 7:38more. Property taxes are a major source of revenue
- 7:41for the city of Boise, helping fund services
- 7:43like police, fire, parks, and libraries. To gauge
- 7:46public reaction, I took a question to the streets
- 7:49of downtown Boise. Am I ready for my property
- 7:51taxes to go up? I know that my taxes are going
- 7:54up and there's not much I can do about it, but
- 7:56I am not happy about it at all. The city is proposing...
- 7:59Have you heard of taurine and feathering, sir?
- 8:02I actually am a big fan of the making tar and
- 8:05feathering great again movement. Oh, yeah. There
- 8:09are dozens of us, dozens. Marsh them down Main
- 8:12Street naked. Yeah. What we need to do is call
- 8:15up our kind of our sister chapter, Tree of Liberty.
- 8:19And we got to merge the two groups and make hangings
- 8:23and tarians and featherings great again. And
- 8:25I think, I think positive change can come from
- 8:28that. Tree looks awfully thirsty. The city is
- 8:32proposing a 3 % property tax increase in 2027.
- 8:35The maximum increase allowed under Idaho law.
- 8:38City budget officials say the proposal is driven
- 8:40by rising costs and the need to maintain services
- 8:43as Boise continues to grow. Why are costs rising?
- 8:49Seems like a natural question one might ask if
- 8:53one were curious about, I don't know, anything,
- 8:57just general curiosity and not just shilling
- 8:59on behalf of the state government. I'm going
- 9:02to channel my inner jewels from Pulp Fiction.
- 9:05And when they say inflation again, I'm just going
- 9:06to point my gun at them. Say inflation again.
- 9:09Say inflation again. I dare you. I double dog
- 9:11dare you. Say it again. It's rising costs. It's
- 9:14rising costs. When we give these massive severance
- 9:17packages, it really takes a bite out of our budget.
- 9:20And so the costs rise. And the need to maintain
- 9:27services as Boise continues to grow. Property
- 9:30taxes go into the city's general fund and that
- 9:33pays for the majority of the city's services,
- 9:37primarily public safety. So big police fire,
- 9:42but also critical services. Oh, it's for the
- 9:43safety. It's for the safety of the kids. For
- 9:46the safety. It's a fire. Just the safety. What
- 9:50if your house is on fire? We need 3 % more property
- 9:53taxes on account of what if your house is on
- 9:55fire? Primarily, public safety, so big police,
- 9:59fire, but also critical services like parks and
- 10:03libraries. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I thought
- 10:06cops and firefighters were the critical services.
- 10:09Did she just call parks a critical service? Did
- 10:12I hear that right? All the services are critical,
- 10:14man. The only thing that's not critical is you
- 10:16and your family and your income. but also critical
- 10:22services like parks and libraries. Alicia McAndrews
- 10:26oversees the city's budget division. She says
- 10:2870 % of the city's general fund goes towards
- 10:30paying employees who provide those services.
- 10:32Some neighbors like. Oh, who called that? He
- 10:35said it. I love it. They usually leave that part
- 10:38out. But in this case, they actually. 70 % of
- 10:40our budget goes to bureaucratic bloat and it's
- 10:44it's a jobs program. That's what it is. Jobs
- 10:47program. We take your money. We run payroll when
- 10:50Paul and I. And they all vote at in the middle
- 10:54of the day on a Tuesday in the building that
- 10:56they're working in. Yeah. And the off cycle elections
- 10:59every time a levy comes up, every time a bond
- 11:02comes up, every time anything like this comes
- 11:04up, they all vote. And I bet you we can tell
- 11:06you which way they vote, Scott. Three guesses
- 11:09in the first two don't count. We fund our own
- 11:11oppression. Yeah. By the way, like. You know,
- 11:15we've mentioned it before but whatever we're
- 11:17never gonna stop mentioning it Payroll was never
- 11:20biggest line item for our private businesses
- 11:22So the notion of taking in revenue so that you
- 11:25can run your payroll, you know and then you know
- 11:27have the have the Check clear so that all the
- 11:31employees get paid makes total sense If I was
- 11:34confiscating the revenue forcibly instead of
- 11:36having to earn people coming through my doors
- 11:39to spend discretionarily, you know how many more
- 11:41employees I would have? What incentive would
- 11:44I have to not just hire as many people and pay
- 11:46them as much as possible? Hello. Congratulations.
- 11:51You've just noticed a major distinction between
- 11:53the free market and private sector versus the
- 11:57state. Why in the world seems like nobody can
- 12:00do the math on this or not nobody, but like,
- 12:02you know, precious few. Why is nobody doing it?
- 12:04It's almost like incentives matter and human
- 12:07nature is human nature no matter where you go.
- 12:09So if you don't have an incentive to save money
- 12:12or to spend money wisely, wow. Well, you're not
- 12:16gonna. There's four ways you can spend money.
- 12:19Scott, you can spend your own money on yourself.
- 12:22You can spend your own money on someone else.
- 12:24You can spend someone else's money on yourself.
- 12:26You can spend someone else's money on someone
- 12:28else. And the vast amount of the government just
- 12:31in general are the, are the latter two exclusively.
- 12:35It's spending someone else's money on yourself
- 12:36and spending someone else's money on someone
- 12:38else. And when you are that removed from the
- 12:41consequences of your actions and the equations,
- 12:45well, You get what we have here. Give me more
- 12:48money. Also, I have to point this out now before
- 12:51I forget, but isn't it rich and ironic that while
- 12:55these, the same politicians who reside down in
- 12:58the city of Boise, who have just bitched and
- 13:02moaned and whined about 3 % budget cuts at the
- 13:06state level, how much are they asking for? Only
- 13:123%. It's only 3 % they're asking for from their
- 13:16Slaves, I mean they're citizens. Meanwhile, if
- 13:19you cut three percent from them People are literally
- 13:23dying. I mean these cuts are killing people literally
- 13:27literally literally So how's that for one of
- 13:31just the sexiest ironies we could have? Come
- 13:35up with today three three thirty three. I think
- 13:40we ought to make three three dollars and 33 cents
- 13:44a donation tier Because it's super obtainable
- 13:47and easy for anybody to do and it and it just
- 13:50perfectly represents our the budget ironies 333
- 13:55yeah out there. Let's do 33 33. I think $3 and
- 13:5933 is a little small Do we not have 33 33 already?
- 14:04I think well, we only have a 33 and I that sort
- 14:07of that's on me I should have put three and in
- 14:09fact, I will I will change it to 33 33 I had
- 14:12a missed a perfectly good opportunity to add
- 14:14another 33 Yeah, well what what so we do have
- 14:18that here already? What's it called then? What
- 14:20are we calling it? It's called the no agenda
- 14:21naturally. Oh Oh, well, okay. I say we change
- 14:26it call it the state budget Maybe okay. I got
- 14:31a thing. I got a Think about how much similar
- 14:34I know. Yeah, I know I mean I got I don't want
- 14:36to take away from the from your inspiration the
- 14:39no agenda guys I mean, you know, you know I'm
- 14:40not I'm not trying to throw shade in their direction
- 14:42much respect and love and all that but I mean,
- 14:45come on You can't tell me you're not at least
- 14:48tempted here. It's tempting. Think about it.
- 14:52Alicia McAndrews oversees the city's budget division.
- 14:54She says 70 % of the city's general fund goes
- 14:57towards paying employees who provide those services.
- 15:00Some neighbors like Ryan Spoon question whether
- 15:02high taxes are the best way to meet the city's
- 15:04needs. I think government always claims that
- 15:08they can fix all the problems if you just give
- 15:10them more money. Boise resident Michael Fitzgerald
- 15:13says he understands the challenge of keeping
- 15:15up with a growing city's needs. We need infrastructure,
- 15:18we need our cops, we need people to protect us,
- 15:21and we need our fire departments, EMS, our roadways,
- 15:26everything in order for us to have a prominent
- 15:29society. Every time, Scott. Every single time.
- 15:33I love it. In order for us to have a prominent
- 15:35society. Buddy says if taxes are going up, residents
- 15:38should be able to clearly see where that money
- 15:40is being spent. I think if they're going to raise
- 15:43those property taxes, then it needs to be absolutely
- 15:45clear how it's going to benefit you as an individual.
- 15:47The city's proposed budget is expected to be
- 15:49released on June 12th with public hearings to
- 15:51follow before the budget is finalized later this
- 15:54summer. Did you hear what they said about they
- 15:57actually say? You know, in rare form, they say
- 16:0070 % of the budget goes to payroll. But the city's
- 16:03general fund goes towards paying employees who
- 16:05provide those services. It is insane who provide
- 16:09the services. It's such a load of crap, it's
- 16:13unbelievable. Like, okay, I'll give you a quick
- 16:16personal anecdote with some land that I'm trying
- 16:19to do with the city of Post Falls and I'm trying
- 16:21to do a boundary line adjustment, but they want
- 16:24a minor subdivision. I don't need to go into
- 16:25the details, but I've been, the surveyor that
- 16:29I've hired, who's a private contractor, and me,
- 16:32have been attempting to figure out why the city
- 16:35wants a minor subdivision for something that
- 16:38might, the surveyor, was like I don't understand
- 16:40why we don't just need to do a boundary line
- 16:42adjustment why is the city requiring you to do
- 16:45a minor subdivision when you're not trying to
- 16:48subdivide and we cannot we just cannot for lover
- 16:51money get a response out of the you can't get
- 16:54an answer email calls we want we went the guy
- 16:57met me down there my surveyor met me down there
- 16:59at 10am on a Wednesday last week to just walk
- 17:02in to try to talk to somebody nobody would talk
- 17:05to us they just had the front desk chick like
- 17:07like oh they're they're not in they're not in
- 17:09i'm sure they were just hiding in their offices
- 17:11this notion that they are like there to serve
- 17:14you and this gigantic payroll bloat and they're
- 17:16there to render the services it's such a freaking
- 17:18load of crap i can't believe anybody buys this
- 17:21stuff That's because most people who buy it have
- 17:25never actually dealt with it the vast majority
- 17:28of people Who defend property taxes who defended
- 17:32the DMV who act as if society will collapse without
- 17:35the bureaucracy They they barely have ever interacted
- 17:39with it. So in their minds it serves a purpose
- 17:43But the moment you have to interact with it ask
- 17:46them ask any small business owner. There's a
- 17:48reason why most Not all, but most small business
- 17:51owners tend to lean conservative libertarians
- 17:53somewhere on the right side of the modern American
- 17:55political spectrum. And it's because you get
- 17:58red -pilled pretty quick and then you get black
- 18:01-pilled at some point, too, on the system when
- 18:04you have to deal with a universal building code
- 18:08binder that is 10 inches thick and nobody ever
- 18:12could possibly know what the hell is all in it
- 18:14ever. And you have to deal with that just to
- 18:18remodel a bathroom for your business or to put
- 18:20in a load -bearing wall or to put in your bar
- 18:23or whatever. As somebody who's remodeled a space
- 18:26at, what, four or five times now, different spaces,
- 18:29for business purposes, it's an epic nightmare.
- 18:32And you go there, and here's how the interaction
- 18:35should go. This would be the common sense thing.
- 18:38And I think most people think it goes this way.
- 18:41because they don't know any better. They've never
- 18:43been on the other side of the counter. And they're
- 18:44NPCs. They just don't think about it. And they
- 18:46don't care because it doesn't affect them. But
- 18:48they think it goes like this. We go down. We
- 18:50submit our plans. We go, this is what we want
- 18:52to do. And then we get told, OK, well, you just
- 18:55need this and this. And you're good to go. OK,
- 18:57awesome. Let's do it. Nope. What it is instead
- 19:01is you have to meet with them, submit plans multiple
- 19:06times. And throughout the process of submitting
- 19:08plans, You cannot go down there and go, hey,
- 19:12here's what we have in mind. Will you look at
- 19:13it and then tell us what we can and can't do?
- 19:16You can't actually do that. You have to put together
- 19:19your plans in the way that you think will serve
- 19:21your business best or what you can afford. And
- 19:23then you have to submit them for consideration.
- 19:25And then they come back to you at some point
- 19:28after two or three or four weeks in the hopper.
- 19:30And they tell you, no, no, no, this is OK. This
- 19:34is OK. This is absolutely not OK. And no. and
- 19:38then you talk to them again and you go okay well
- 19:40what's the alternative what can I do and they
- 19:42tell you we don't know and or we won't say well
- 19:46all they can do is review what you've submitted
- 19:49and tell you what you can't do and they never
- 19:51offer alternatives they never offer help and
- 19:54they never at the outset of it just look at it
- 19:56all and go okay no you can't do a but you can
- 19:58do b and c no nothing like that it is it is an
- 20:03arduous process Whenever you deal with the city
- 20:06bureaucrats for anything that involves anything
- 20:09really just and and the legal system That's a
- 20:12whole nother thing to unwrap, but it operates
- 20:14the same way you think you got a good case You
- 20:16probably don't take everything that's common
- 20:18sense and throw it right out the fucking window
- 20:21Common sense does not exist. It is all purely
- 20:26bureaucracy protocol bylaws sublaws subsections
- 20:30and bureaucrats who do the bare minimum because
- 20:33they don't have to do anything else. There is
- 20:35no incentive to serve the citizen because we're
- 20:39not customers, we're tax cows. There's no incentive
- 20:42to be helpful because you don't get promoted
- 20:44based on being helpful. You get promoted based
- 20:46on tenure. How long have you been there? Et cetera,
- 20:49et cetera, so on and so forth. It's a systemic
- 20:52issue. It's a city thing, it's a county thing,
- 20:55it's a state thing, every level. If you are a
- 20:57productive member of society and you've dealt
- 20:59with it, you tend to get red -pilled and then
- 21:01eventually black -pilled by it. And that's why
- 21:03our demographic understands that you cannot hate
- 21:07the state enough. Well, the only thing I would
- 21:10and the fact that Boise's budget goes 70 % for
- 21:13payroll, that basically it is purely a jobs program
- 21:17at that point that just happens to dabble in
- 21:20providing a few services when it can get around
- 21:22to it. There's only one thing I would take exception
- 21:26to from what you said, which is you said a moment
- 21:29ago that, you know, the people who are sort of
- 21:32for it or like this sort of NPC type crowd who
- 21:34doesn't think about this stuff. You say they
- 21:36don't think about it because they don't. It just
- 21:38doesn't. It doesn't affect them except for it
- 21:41does, man. They get half their freaking labor
- 21:43taken away from them and then they turn around
- 21:46and defend that fact. They they like sort of
- 21:49they go to bat on behalf of their oppressors.
- 21:53Yeah, you're absolutely right. What I mean. So
- 21:54I was saying it as if it was some like from their
- 21:56perspective, like. From MPC's perspective, it
- 22:00doesn't affect them. They don't notice, they
- 22:02don't know, because if it's not right in front
- 22:04of their nose and directly impacts them in a
- 22:06way that is visible and overt, then it's not
- 22:09their problem. Even then, 2020 and 2021 showed
- 22:13us that even when it affects them as directly
- 22:15as possible, like hold cloth over your face while
- 22:18you go about your life for two years or until
- 22:20we tell you otherwise, they'll do that too. If
- 22:23it affects them physically, mentally, their kids,
- 22:26they will do anything because they believe in
- 22:29the inherent legitimacy of the state. So therefore,
- 22:32everything that flows from that is inherently
- 22:34legitimate. I'll do whatever I'm told for as
- 22:37long as I'm told. Well, we live in an age where
- 22:40for the last hundred and some odd years, because
- 22:43education, well, because indoctrination has been
- 22:46run by the state. You basically have, gosh, at
- 22:49this point, I don't know, seven, eight. generations
- 22:52worth of a culture that has been told non -stop
- 22:55from ages four till 20 that the government is
- 23:02benevolent, the government is omnipotent, the
- 23:04government is powerful, it is God. The government
- 23:07is the answer to your problems. I mean, that's
- 23:10the whole point of state -run indoctrination
- 23:12camps, also known as public education. You get
- 23:16kids while they're young and you teach them that
- 23:17the state is God and is the answer to everything,
- 23:20and they'll fasten the shackles to their own
- 23:21ankles. The state. Charming. But effective. I
- 23:28mean, it is the reason why most of these people
- 23:30are NPCs. It's the reason why most people defend
- 23:33heinous things like property taxes. I mean, when
- 23:35you really break down a property tax, you are
- 23:38paying tax on unrealized gain that has been assessed
- 23:42at arbitrary value. based on what the people
- 23:47who stand to benefit from it being a higher amount
- 23:50say it is. And if you don't pay, they take your
- 23:55home. It's structurally indefensible. They take
- 23:59your home. And people are just like, this is
- 24:03perfectly fine. Without these people threatening
- 24:07to take our homes, society would collapse. It
- 24:10would be chaos. Anarchy. Oh, Lou Rockwell. This
- 24:14is who I was trying to look up. His quote has
- 24:16lived with me forever. I saved it on my computer.
- 24:19Lou Rockwell says, it isn't a coincidence that
- 24:22governments everywhere want to educate children.
- 24:24Government education in turn is supposed to be
- 24:28is supposed to be evidence of the state's goodness
- 24:30and its concern for our well -being. The real
- 24:33explanation, of course, is less flattering. If
- 24:35the government's propaganda can take root as
- 24:37children grow up. those kids will be no threat
- 24:39to the state apparatus. Indeed, they will fasten
- 24:41the chains to their own ankles. And we see it
- 24:45in real time every day. Also, for a moment of
- 24:51levity, I lost the bet. I don't know why you
- 24:54wouldn't have taken that bet, Scott, because
- 24:56I took the over on two and you were the dude
- 25:00who put together the audio and you knew of the
- 25:03three. Ah, dude, you could have, you could have
- 25:06crushed me. I mean, I guess thanks for being
- 25:08a gentleman, but Also don't I mean you can make
- 25:11so I actually was wrong They interviewed three
- 25:13Boiseites and two of the three were kind of like
- 25:15I was sure about this just one. No the first
- 25:19No, the first one or two two. I mean, I'm sorry.
- 25:22It was two I thought it was a because they actually
- 25:24had a guy on there who was like, oh, you know
- 25:26government always says that they'll solve problems
- 25:28if they just get more money and then the other
- 25:29guy was like What about the cops in the roads?
- 25:32So the what there were three there were interviews.
- 25:35I thought unless unless I'm mistaken Did they
- 25:37only interview two? I thought they interviewed
- 25:39three. I thought it was two. Oh, OK. Then it
- 25:42was then the first half that I heard I thought
- 25:46was a was a separate interview. Well, who knows?
- 25:50I mean, we don't. So that's the thing. You can
- 25:51edit man on the street interviews to make whatever
- 25:54you can make the viewer feel whatever you want,
- 25:56depending on how you edit it. So we don't actually
- 25:58who knows how many they interviewed. They only
- 26:00aired two. I'm shocked that they actually gave
- 26:04an opposing point of view to property tax issue.
- 26:07Me too. Let's move along here. I was I think
- 26:12this is a new no ID record for the amount of
- 26:16people who messaged me about this story. And
- 26:20it appears to be a non story. But boy, is it
- 26:24catching fire on the socials. Oh, I know what
- 26:27you're talking about. Don't don't tell me. I
- 26:30can guess the sheriff possibly crashing while
- 26:34driving drunk story. Right. Yep. Yeah. Yeah.
- 26:37That's been all over the. all over the Facebooks.
- 26:40So first of all, again, value for value where,
- 26:43you know, those of you who messaged me about
- 26:46this story, thank you for taking to not just
- 26:50letting it go by, but you came across it and
- 26:52you thought to message message us about it. Awesome.
- 26:55That is value returned. Appreciate it. And there
- 26:58was a couple that was that message like, hey,
- 27:01man, Sheriff Norris was, you know, DUI crashed
- 27:04his truck. And then they've messaged later, like,
- 27:07Oh, well, it turns out that might be bull crap.
- 27:10But it got it got mainstream coverage because
- 27:12it was just viral enough. So here is four news
- 27:15now. County Sheriff's Office is pushing back
- 27:18against online claims that Sheriff Bob Norris
- 27:21was involved in a crash earlier this month in
- 27:23Coeur d 'Alene. The claims stem from social media
- 27:26posts alleging. Norris nearly hit two people
- 27:29on May 16th. The sheriff's office says Norris
- 27:32couldn't have been involved since he was not
- 27:34in the state at the time. The office confirmed
- 27:37a crash did happen. They reached out to the driver
- 27:40and wished them a full recovery. They did not
- 27:43say what led up to that crash. All right. I already
- 27:47know. I want to do the Clark Fork story after
- 27:49this one because both of them involve a recurring
- 27:52theme and the recurring theme is who done it
- 27:56and the whodunit is a super easy mystery to solve.
- 28:01Who was driving? Well, it should be pretty obvious.
- 28:06Either it was Bob Doris or it wasn't Bob Doris.
- 28:09How is this a mystery? And when we cover this
- 28:12next story that's going to be after this one,
- 28:14it's all very similar. Like, well, okay, it's
- 28:17either it's this or this and it's super easy
- 28:19to verify. How is this hard? Apparently it is
- 28:23next to impossible and we haven't gotten to the
- 28:25end of the CSI episode yet where it's revealed.
- 28:28Here that was a very discombobulated and weird
- 28:31way to present from four news. Now here is a
- 28:34little here's a Coeur d 'Alene press article
- 28:36from May 30th as read by a voice from 11 Labs.
- 28:40The title of the article is Norris refutes DUI
- 28:44crash rumors. Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris
- 28:47refuted allegations that he was involved in a
- 28:50recent single vehicle crash near Raising Canes
- 28:53after rumors of such circulated on social media.
- 28:56Now, by the way, this is there's no guarantee
- 28:57that all of this isn't just a ad reads for raising
- 29:01canes. Because that's the one thing that appears.
- 29:04Oh, my gosh. Think about that. This is part of
- 29:07their native. What a brilliant. What a oh, my
- 29:10gosh. OK, if that is the case, hat tip, just
- 29:14you guys win. You win. Nice job. It's unclear
- 29:18who crashed their red Toyota Tundra next to raising
- 29:21canes, which has delicious chicken fingers. But
- 29:23like it's. They get a lot of coverage. And here's
- 29:26a Raising Canes employee talking about what he
- 29:29saw happen while he was on shift making that
- 29:31delicious chicken that everybody loves. It was
- 29:34really tough of this Raising Canes employee to
- 29:36take time out of working for Raising Canes, making
- 29:39Raising Canes chickens for the people who love
- 29:41Raising Canes. It's pretty great. Blogger Casey
- 29:45Whalen first shared the allegation. Yeah, I know.
- 29:49It's out there. Blogger Casey Whalen first shared
- 29:52the allegations Thursday. Publicly posting several
- 29:55videos on the matter including an interview with
- 29:58a man wearing a raising canes uniform who said
- 30:00he witnessed Whoa into the restaurant sign damaging
- 30:03it I win there is one problem with this narrative
- 30:06the sheriff's office said one who's released
- 30:08only one Sheriff Bob Norris was not in the state
- 30:11of Idaho on the date and time of this incident
- 30:14According to the cordelaine police department
- 30:16the crash occurred May 16th and Idaho State Police
- 30:19Handled the investigation the driver identified
- 30:22by police as Kirk Kelso was driving his vehicle
- 30:25during the rainstorm when he lost control of
- 30:27his vehicle, according to public records obtained
- 30:30by the press. Kelso crashed at the Raising Cane's
- 30:33sign and sustained a concussion, according to
- 30:35the ISP. He has not been charged with any crime.
- 30:39It wasn't even the Raising Cane sign, by the
- 30:41way. It was the Safeway sign. But anyway, Wayland's
- 30:44video circulated. Well, if it had been the Raising
- 30:45Cane's sign, then he would have been charged
- 30:48with a crime. You know it. Wayland's video circulated
- 30:51on social media. with one receiving more than
- 30:5310 ,000 views as of Friday afternoon. London
- 30:57Eden, the restaurant employee, told Whelan in
- 30:59a video interview that he pulled Norris from
- 31:02the vehicle after the crash and that the sheriff
- 31:04smelled strongly of alcohol. He also said a female
- 31:07passenger in the vehicle, whom Whelan implied
- 31:10was Norris' wife, was badly injured. Kelso was
- 31:13the vehicle's sole occupant, according to police.
- 31:15Norris said he was celebrating - What? Wait,
- 31:17what? Yeah, that seems to be a weird - Okay,
- 31:19wait a minute, wait a minute, so - What a weird
- 31:22way to stop and then start to two separate accounts.
- 31:28That's what just happened here. Right. Am I?
- 31:30I heard that right. Correct. They just talked
- 31:33to eyewitness Raising Cane's employee who says,
- 31:36I pulled I pulled Bob Norris from the truck and
- 31:39it was Bob Norris, Bob Norris. Not only that,
- 31:42but also but a female passenger who was banged
- 31:45up real bad. But and then like full stop, but
- 31:49no break. Kelso was the sole driver of the truck.
- 31:52Yep. So that's one of the main points of strangeness
- 31:56or that they're trying to drum up or harp on,
- 32:00I don't know, that the truck only had, oh, it
- 32:02was only the driver. And Kelso appears to be
- 32:05like former Coeur d 'Alene police or former sheriff's
- 32:08office. He's associated with law enforcement.
- 32:13This is precisely why we pay our 3 % increase
- 32:16in property taxes, Scott, to make sure things
- 32:18like this don't happen. For protection. Okay,
- 32:21here's the end of the article. Here's the end
- 32:23of the article. Isn't that how that works? If
- 32:24only we had paid more taxes! Kelso was the vehicle's
- 32:28sole occupant, according to police. Norris said
- 32:30he was celebrating his daughter's high school
- 32:32graduation Thursday, while rumors circulated
- 32:35that he had crashed a vehicle while driving drunk.
- 32:37The actions of this Cane's employee, keyboard
- 32:40warriors, and the two -bit so -called online
- 32:42journalists ruined what should have been a memorable
- 32:44evening for our family, Norris said in a news
- 32:47release. So that's the Portland Dress article.
- 32:51Yep. I wonder what they call us. I hope we I
- 32:53hope we rate as at least a bit and a half. Well,
- 32:56and we're not journalists. Let's be clear. We
- 32:58are not journalists. So we're like we're like
- 33:01five bit journalists or five bit podcasters.
- 33:04I don't know. I don't know what the going rate
- 33:05is these days. Five stars would recommend. So
- 33:08I asked I reached out to Seth Horst, the host
- 33:12of the North Idaho Experience, who is former
- 33:14law enforcement. And I was asking about I was
- 33:17like, hey, so with regard to like inter -agency
- 33:21coverups. Like, because what strikes me is the
- 33:23what makes this baloney is that the notion of
- 33:27ISP and other agencies all working together to
- 33:30cover up something like this, like cover up on
- 33:34behalf of Norris. And I was like, well, I'm not
- 33:36really sure it smells like baloney. But then
- 33:38again, like, I don't I'm not putting anything
- 33:39past anybody these days. And so Seth said, it
- 33:42seems this seems like a real odd one. There is
- 33:44no way. That you could get that many officers
- 33:48from different agencies to cover up anything
- 33:50ISP would have nothing to gain and everything
- 33:53to lose not a chance So that's what makes me
- 33:58believe this has just got to be bull crap And
- 34:01I'm not sure what is motivating the Raising Canes
- 34:04employee. Yes, Raising Canes off 95 at neater
- 34:08I don't know what would be motivating that person,
- 34:11but people do all sorts of weird things for weird
- 34:13reasons It's nighter by the way, that's how I
- 34:18know you're not from here nighter It's like when
- 34:22the county officer was harassing me back in 2023
- 34:27and I had that really lovely time with the Post
- 34:31Wall City PD and County PD and and he said I
- 34:34had been going too fast on Mulan Avenue It's
- 34:40Mullen dude Disney movies as it like after Captain
- 34:43Mullen one of the one of the guys who created
- 34:45history right here in the area Captain John Mullen,
- 34:48I think it's John Mullen. The last name was Mullen
- 34:50Yeah, like Milan the Disney princess. I thought
- 34:54dude you are not from here I'm not man. I'm from
- 34:58Los Angeles Wales vagina according to Ron Burgundy
- 35:04Okay, let's do uh, I'm gonna do the Von or be
- 35:08one Yeah, I definitely do but real quick to rewrite
- 35:12to wrap this one up Do we have a conclusive conclusion
- 35:17on whether this is legit or not? Because these
- 35:20are two completely different stories going on
- 35:23here. From what I can gather, as conclusive as
- 35:27I can get at this time, it seems like it was
- 35:31this Kelso guy, that his former law enforcement
- 35:34is just whatever, he's former law enforcement.
- 35:37It seems like he might have had some sort of,
- 35:39I don't know, a stroke or some sort of medical
- 35:41incident in, you know, while driving because
- 35:43he hit, he flew around the corner, like a nighter
- 35:48onto highway 95 and just didn't even, there was
- 35:52no brakes. There was no nothing. He just had
- 35:54like 50 something miles an hour in a, in a Toyota
- 35:57Tundra just went careening into the ditch and
- 36:00crash and took out like a concrete. you know,
- 36:03a post or whatever for a street lamp and then
- 36:07a smash into the concrete Safeway sign. And it
- 36:10just seems like he might've had some sort of
- 36:11incident at the wheel. And it, Bob Norris was,
- 36:15doesn't seem like he was the guy. There's no
- 36:17giant interagency coverup. And maybe, and maybe
- 36:21time will tell what is motivating the Raising
- 36:25Canes employee who gave the initial, the eyewitness
- 36:28employee. As a community, community, community.
- 36:32Did NIDR see that coming? Well, if anything comes
- 36:40of it, I mean, you know, we'll be sure we'll
- 36:43cover it here. But as of now, it's just bullshit.
- 36:45This would be bitchin'. If anybody, if any of
- 36:48you out there end up getting the dish further
- 36:51on this, please hit us up, because my curiosity
- 36:54has peaked. Peaked, I say. Yes. I think this,
- 36:57though, I will say that if it had indeed been
- 37:01Sheriff Bob Norris, we already would probably
- 37:04know more about it. And the press, the Coeur
- 37:07d 'Alene press, would not let that one go. Like
- 37:10they would be all over it like flies on shite.
- 37:14Because, you know, the former are parasites and
- 37:16the latter is shite and they both deserve each
- 37:18other. But funny enough, they both hate each
- 37:21other. The press is no friend of Norris and vice
- 37:24versa. So if Norris really was finding himself
- 37:26in a highly compromising career ending position,
- 37:30the press would be all over it, man. I mean,
- 37:32we'd be hearing about it for nonstop for two
- 37:36weeks every day, every day. So that's what leads
- 37:39me to believe that it's fake, fake news. It does
- 37:43seem like it. Oh, speaking of fake news, there's
- 37:46a correction I would like to make from the last
- 37:49show, episode 30 of No ID. It was brought to
- 37:52my attention by Matt Todd. the host of the ranch
- 37:55who texted that he said that when it was the
- 37:59spelling bee story where I was like, oh, did
- 38:02you catch that the spelling bee contestants,
- 38:05the local kids going to the National Spelling
- 38:06Bee were from Kootenai Classical Academy, which
- 38:09is a private school. And he said, hey, Kootenai,
- 38:13this wasn't the only thing he mentioned. So it
- 38:16wasn't like he texted me just to give me this
- 38:18correction, but he did say Kootenai Classical
- 38:19Academy, not a private school. It's open enrollment
- 38:23charter school. Yeah, and it's paid for by tax
- 38:25dollars. And I you know what? I was actually
- 38:27thinking on my head. I was thinking of The classical
- 38:31Christian Academy in Coeur d 'Alene. I just conflated
- 38:33them in my head, which is a private private school
- 38:37But Kootenai classic so Matt Todd the man with
- 38:39two names. He is correct It is a charter school
- 38:42the same way the Coeur d 'Alene Charter Academy
- 38:44is a charter school. And yes, they do receive
- 38:46some Public funding but the distinction with
- 38:50charter schools unlike public true blue what
- 38:53we would call just I guess public schools They
- 38:55don't receive I believe it's state funding It's
- 38:59one or the other they either receive federal
- 39:01but not state or state but not federal And I
- 39:04always forget which one it is. I think it was
- 39:05federal but not state. I'm pretty sure I believe
- 39:09that is correct. We see I'm gonna look at it
- 39:11right now or see federal but not state funding
- 39:15question mark It's the other way around. State
- 39:21and local funding, not federal. There you go.
- 39:27Which makes sense then. They don't have ties
- 39:28to the Department of Education. They don't have
- 39:31to deal with any of the administration or the
- 39:33bureaucracy at the federal level and all that
- 39:36that entails. So that's the distinction is their
- 39:40funding is exclusively state and local and of
- 39:43course fundraisers and stuff like that. The parents
- 39:45usually tend to contribute heavily. to charter
- 39:47schools as well. I actually went to Coeur d 'Alene
- 39:49Charter Academy from seventh grade, eighth grade,
- 39:51ninth grade, and part of 10th grade. I spent
- 39:53three and a half years there and my wife graduated
- 39:56from the Coeur d 'Alene Charter Academy and my
- 39:58dad built the basketball program at Coeur d 'Alene
- 40:00Charter Academy so that I could play ball while
- 40:02I was there. Nice. And then I rewarded his efforts
- 40:05by transferring out about a year later. Perfect.
- 40:10It wasn't for me. Charter Academy is a great
- 40:12college preparatory school if you're into that
- 40:14scene, but if you have any interest outside of
- 40:16That it's not a great school. Wait, was there
- 40:21somebody who was who was really like the establishment
- 40:24was pissed that that Todd Banducci had built
- 40:26the basketball program was in power. So they
- 40:28they they they accused him of attempting to burn
- 40:31down the school's basketball program. Actually,
- 40:34not too far off. No, really? No, the yeah. Well,
- 40:39the principal who was in charge at the time,
- 40:41Nels Patati, was actually he was like the nerds
- 40:44nerd. And he was at best apathetic, but probably
- 40:50more antipathetic towards sports as any, you
- 40:55know, nerd tends to be, you know, you always
- 40:57know who got picked last for sports and they
- 40:59carry it with them forever, wherever they go.
- 41:02And they kind of fought my dad the whole way.
- 41:05Some people pushed hard in our favor and but
- 41:07Nels Patati and a couple others fought against
- 41:09it. But, you know, we got it going and it was
- 41:11cool. It was cool, man. It was a big deal putting
- 41:14together a basketball program. It's no small
- 41:15thing. Dad credit to my dad for that. I don't
- 41:18know if he listens to these but if you do good
- 41:19job dad So the nerd tried to take out the jock
- 41:23the actually, you know reminds me of reminds
- 41:25you of Jeremy Piven's character from old school
- 41:28This is me leaving yeah, whatever nerd Hey, it's
- 41:36younger brother cheese cheese We just needed
- 41:42a tank to show up and really mess stuff up. Where
- 41:45were you, Will Ferrell? Maintain our composure.
- 41:49Actually, funny story, because my dad actually
- 41:51was, he was basically a rocket scientist. He
- 41:55went to the Air Force Academy and studied multiple
- 41:57languages and did trigonometry and quantum physics.
- 42:00And I mean, it was an officer doing rocketry
- 42:03type stuff, intense stuff. So he was, but he
- 42:06also played football, basketball, rugby. He boxed,
- 42:09you know, so that was my dad. He was what happened
- 42:13to you man. Geez. I don't know. I'm I'm a disappointment.
- 42:17I made peace with it ten years ago I'm a podcaster.
- 42:21That's what I do. There you go. You proud of
- 42:23me now dad You proud of me now? Let's do the
- 42:28Bonner be the story up in your neck of the woods
- 42:32Yay. All right. So speaking of things that don't
- 42:35make sense, but should be really easy mysteries
- 42:37to solve I should put that x -files File back
- 42:40on, hold on. So while you're pulling that up,
- 42:43do you want to share the audio? Sure. This is
- 42:46the Bonner B, which is a Hagadon media owned
- 42:49property. So all these different papers that
- 42:52purport to be local and on the surface seem like
- 42:54they are, are all owned by the same conglomerate
- 42:57and run by the ghost of Duane Hagadon, who reportedly
- 43:01had an office off of Neater at one point. Anyway,
- 43:04this is an article entitled I'll kill you. That
- 43:07was another. Oh, by the way, I was also corrected
- 43:09by another producer for saying entitled when
- 43:13I said, hey, go check out episode 19 of this
- 43:15show. And so you can see what the Idaho Statesman
- 43:18is all about. And that show is entitled Jansport
- 43:21Inferno. This particular producer said it's not
- 43:24entitled, it's titled. Mr. Grammar Nazi, and
- 43:27I said, you know what? You're right. So this
- 43:30article is titled, The BCRCC Declares Clark Fork
- 43:34Seat Vacant, and it is as read by a voice from
- 43:3611 Labs because it is from a print newspaper.
- 43:55as defined in Idaho code, and declared the seat
- 43:58vacant. Rudd said Clark Fork community members
- 44:00raised questions about Heisel's residency and
- 44:03whether the address on his candidate filing aligned
- 44:05with where he lived. To be a qualified elector
- 44:08as a precinct committeeman, a person must be
- 44:10a registered voter in the precinct for at least
- 44:12six months prior to the election. Heisel, who
- 44:15received the 54 .1 % votes to defeat incumbent
- 44:19Dmitry Borisov in the May 19th primary election,
- 44:22owns property on Ninth Avenue in Clark Fork.
- 44:25but told the Daily Bee that he rents that property
- 44:27out. The address on Ninth Avenue is the one that
- 44:30Heisel listed on his candidate filing and voter
- 44:32registration as his residency. Heisel told the
- 44:35Daily Bee he keeps personal belongings and furniture
- 44:38at a house on First Avenue in Clark Fork, which
- 44:40is owned by his parents. In the executive session,
- 44:43Rudd said that Heisel acknowledged that the residence
- 44:45on his voter registration is not where he lives,
- 44:48and the committee determined he did not meet
- 44:50the qualified elector requirements. Rudd said
- 44:53that the BCRCC will appoint a new qualified elector
- 44:56for the Clark Fork Precinct at a future meeting.
- 44:59Scott Herndon, who has recently elected the Republican
- 45:01nominee for the District 1 State Senate seat,
- 45:04said Friday that the matter has been sent to
- 45:06the Bonner County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
- 45:08He said a false residency on a voter registration
- 45:11form can constitute felony perjury under Idaho
- 45:14code. Heisel said in his response to the challenge
- 45:17that he has acted in good faith throughout the
- 45:19entire process, and requested that the challenge
- 45:21be denied on a county level. So this is the town
- 45:25of Clark Fork, which is up off the northeast
- 45:28end of Lake Ponderay, and this is your neck of
- 45:30the woods. Yeah, that's where I live. So, you
- 45:33know, whatever, I'm doxing myself, but I don't
- 45:35care. Hold on. I pulled up something else for
- 45:37this. This could be good. I don't know if you
- 45:39ever watch sci fi channel, but if you did, you're
- 45:41going to recognize this theme song. Yeah, the
- 45:47Outer Limits. So there is nothing wrong with
- 45:50your television. Your listeners slash producers.
- 45:54We have another mystery to solve. A real, genuine
- 45:59whodunit. The question is, does Jensen Heisel
- 46:04live or not live where he's supposed to live
- 46:06in order to be a precinct committeeman? That's
- 46:11it. Doesn't seem very difficult to prove, but
- 46:15then again, maybe Sheriff Norris is living in
- 46:17that house off 9th. Hey, maybe he's driving that
- 46:21house off 9th. You know what they're thinking
- 46:25about? They're thinking about opening up a Raising
- 46:26Canes in Clark Fork. Oh, I swear, if a Raising
- 46:31Canes goes up in the next couple of months, we're
- 46:33going to know this whole our lives are a lie.
- 46:36This whole thing is a sham. Simulation is a simulation.
- 46:40Oh, my God. Raising Canes or it must be like
- 46:44the the nodes from which should operate or something.
- 46:47I don't know. I don't know the technical terms,
- 46:49but here's the skinny. All right. That sucks.
- 46:52I thought this is going to I forgot the old school
- 46:54is just narrative. There's the signpost up ahead.
- 46:58Next stop, the Twilight Zone. Dude, so I nailed
- 47:02it with the X -Files file. Not so much with the
- 47:04outer limits. I thought it'd be cool. Didn't
- 47:06work as well as I thought in my mind. But really,
- 47:08that's it. That's the long and the short of it.
- 47:10So it's a huge controversy, supposedly, depending
- 47:12on who you ask. Yeah. All 12 people who live
- 47:14up there are in a tizzy. There are dozens of
- 47:19us. Dozens. We will not stand for this. And poor
- 47:25Heisel's over here just like, you know how much
- 47:27rejection I face every day. It's making headlines.
- 47:32The fact that this is a headline is kind of goofy,
- 47:34but OK. And if you listen to the article again,
- 47:39I'm more of a reader than I am a listener when
- 47:40it comes to like actually reading an article.
- 47:43I don't do books on tape. I can't do it. I got
- 47:45to read it to really process it. But for you
- 47:47guys who listen to the 11 labs telling of it
- 47:50or find the article yourself. and if you read
- 47:52it and you know what to look for there's three
- 47:54or four things that you notice right off the
- 47:56bat and it's just such classic mainstream media
- 47:58yellow journalism uh combined with the exactly
- 48:02what you'd expect responses of the npcs who live
- 48:05and vote and drive near us it's crazy so what
- 48:09do they drive on primary election happens please
- 48:14don't take our roads please don't take our roads
- 48:16they drive on the things we couldn't possibly
- 48:18ever build if you didn't steal my money and threaten
- 48:21me with my house that's the flat surface that
- 48:24we can't figure out how to build without extortion.
- 48:27But that's another topic for another time or
- 48:30for every time. But I digress. Primaries happened
- 48:34a couple of weeks ago. In the primaries, we vote
- 48:36for precinct committee men at the county level.
- 48:38Every county has a precinct committee. The precinct
- 48:40committees are important because precinct committee
- 48:42men or women, I guess, if you're into that sort
- 48:44of thing, have a say in ultimately who ends up
- 48:49on the ballot for primaries. Now, they don't
- 48:51get to tell you that you can't be on the ballot
- 48:53for primaries. But without the endorsement of
- 48:55the precinct committee in the county for the
- 48:57district you are going to represent, you're going
- 49:00to have a really hard time of it. Having the
- 49:02Republican or the Democrat brand behind you makes
- 49:04a big difference. They also pass resolutions.
- 49:07And in general, they just sort of they represent
- 49:08the people, and they represent the party brand,
- 49:10and they're supposed to kind of move the ball
- 49:12forward. And they also help run elections and
- 49:15do ballot stuffing. Sorry, not ballot stuffing,
- 49:19but like. campaign stuffing parties, and they
- 49:22walk neighborhoods, they knock doors, they're
- 49:25the eyes and the ears and the feet and the knees.
- 49:29So it's the lowest kind of level you usually
- 49:32start with to get involved into politics, but
- 49:33it also is an incredibly and surprisingly at
- 49:36times influential thing. So it matters. Anyways,
- 49:40the guy in my district, Clark Fork, I didn't
- 49:44vote for him, but I don't know him. I voted for
- 49:46Dmitry Borisov, the guy who lost, because I prefer
- 49:49Dmitry. But that's OK, no biggie. This dude who
- 49:52won, Jensen Heisel, after he won, some complaints
- 49:55were filed that he's representing the district
- 49:59that I'm in, the Clark Fork district, but he
- 50:01doesn't live here. Or at least the address doesn't
- 50:03match with where he lives. So the Bonner County
- 50:07Precinct Committee looks it up and goes, yeah.
- 50:10yeah this doesn't match this doesn't track there's
- 50:12stuff going on here that doesn't make any sense
- 50:14and they investigated it and decided they didn't
- 50:16like what they found and on friday just this
- 50:19last friday they voted to deque disqualified
- 50:22jensen heisel from holding the seat so now the
- 50:25seat is open and the committee the precinct committee
- 50:28will now get together and figure out who they
- 50:30want to fill the slot that'll probably take a
- 50:32week or two uh they have to figure out a who's
- 50:35dumb enough to do it and uh b you know, if they
- 50:39if they like him enough or her enough to do it,
- 50:42and so on and so forth. So that'll be a process.
- 50:45But the way the press is showing this, it's so
- 50:48obviously against the BRCC or BCRCC, which is
- 50:52still tentatively run by mostly true conservatives.
- 50:55So the press hates them. So if you read this
- 50:59article, the way it's framed is the BCRCC, Bonner
- 51:03County Precinct Committee, Bonner Republican,
- 51:04blah, blah, blah. Anyways, they're the bad guys
- 51:06for making this an issue. Meanwhile, poor Jensen
- 51:09Heisel is the victim for not following the law.
- 51:14And it's interesting that in this article, two
- 51:18different Heisel -owned properties are mentioned,
- 51:20one on 9th Street and one on 10th Street or something,
- 51:23one where his parents live and one that he rents
- 51:26out to someone else. He does not live at either
- 51:28of these properties. And one of them he used
- 51:32for his address to file and to run. curiously
- 51:38omitted is where he actually lives. This should
- 51:43be super easy to solve in five minutes. Do you
- 51:48live in the district? Yes or no. Show us your
- 51:52address. Like, ta -da! Mystery solved. But nope.
- 51:58Instead, the press writes a whole article about
- 51:59it, framing him as the victim, talking about
- 52:02how he owns a bunch of property in Clark Fork,
- 52:04but we never hear about where he actually lives.
- 52:07So to what end? like to make him the victim in
- 52:12the Bonner County Republican precinct committee,
- 52:14the bad guys. So the establishment wants this
- 52:17guy in there. Is that the conclusion? I don't
- 52:21know if that's the case, but I do know that the
- 52:23establishment and the mainstream media definitely
- 52:24want to do take any opportunity to paint Scott
- 52:28Herndon and Rudd and the again, the main, the
- 52:32conservative led BCRCC as the bad guys any chance
- 52:36they get. So they do this in Kootenai County
- 52:38all the time too. The Coeur d 'Alene Press did
- 52:39this with the Kootenai County Precinct Committee
- 52:42all the time. Things that were ceremonial, it's
- 52:47not the word I want, but procedural, things that
- 52:49were law, bylaws, things that, you know, you
- 52:51got to do a certain way. Well, if the Kootenai
- 52:54County Precinct Committee would address those
- 52:57issues, and as they rightly should, then the
- 53:00Coeur d 'Alene Press would report as, report
- 53:02it as if they were the bullies as if like how
- 53:05dare they bring up these issues of decorum or
- 53:08these issues of of laws and bylaw and you know
- 53:10how how dare they and whoever they were going
- 53:12after if they were going after somebody who was
- 53:15a north idaho republican you know nir person
- 53:17that the press loves well then they got painted
- 53:20as the victim and the cooney county precinct
- 53:22committee got painted as the bullies and the
- 53:24same thing is happening here now i don't know
- 53:26jensen heisel personally i don't know his politics
- 53:29I don't know if he's a good guy or if he's an
- 53:31asshole or what. What I do know is this should
- 53:34be simple to solve. If the guy lives in his district
- 53:37and he has legal residence, this should be a
- 53:40non -issue. If he doesn't, he can't hold the
- 53:43seat. Legally, he can't hold the seat. But man,
- 53:47people are outraged. You get on Facebook and
- 53:50people are like, how could the BCRCC do this?
- 53:53This is awful. We don't even live in a democracy
- 53:56anymore. And then you got a few like, and they're
- 53:59the majority, the end. And it's mainly again,
- 54:01it falls into two categories. So the people who
- 54:03are outraged by this fall into one of two categories.
- 54:06Category one is the people who voted for Heisel
- 54:08Jensen, Jensen Heisel. And they're just mad that
- 54:10their boy can't sit there now. And okay, I get
- 54:13that category two are the NPCs who didn't even
- 54:16clearly didn't even read the article. They just
- 54:18read the headline or they read parts of the article
- 54:20and just don't know how to read the lines. And
- 54:24they're just outraged by it. And then there's
- 54:27the third demographic who's like me, who I can't
- 54:30resist, and I get on there and I'm like, hey,
- 54:32so three things to think about, none of you are
- 54:33thinking about. Like, this should be easy to
- 54:35solve. Where does he live? And then it's that
- 54:38easy. Legally, it has to be this way. So like
- 54:41the guy or not, what are the point of the rules?
- 54:45So that makes me think, well, there's a fourth
- 54:47category then. The fourth category, it might
- 54:50even be the biggest one. They're actually fake.
- 54:53These comments are fake. They're not they're
- 54:55not from real people. It's just phony, baloney.
- 54:57Oh, you think you think you think the bots are
- 55:02alive and well on the on the press article posts?
- 55:05I think they I think they're alive and well on
- 55:07every post that that happens on all of social
- 55:09media. I think most of social media is fake and
- 55:12gay. Well, I don't agree. I don't disagree with
- 55:16you there. I think locally the odds of there
- 55:19being maybe less, you know, maybe less percentage
- 55:23up here. Much less. Yeah. I mean, we're talking
- 55:25local Clark Fork politics, man. Yeah. Maybe I
- 55:27guess in an instance like that, like you just
- 55:29can't do too many fake profiles because like
- 55:32the communities are small enough to where most
- 55:34people know most people. And so how many how
- 55:36many, you know, hairy paratestes can possibly
- 55:39be commenting on these things. And then and then
- 55:42and then coming across like someone who didn't
- 55:44even do anything besides read the headline. It's
- 55:46also really sad to consider that there are real
- 55:49people out there who. Uh, they do just read the
- 55:52headline and then they do mash their keyboards
- 55:55and like, okay. Really? You just really that
- 55:59lame and fake and gay you're faking gay, but
- 56:02you're real. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's, uh,
- 56:06I'm sure that it's a mixture of everything, but
- 56:08I would say let fewer bots than anything else.
- 56:11If, if any truly, I mean, you know, you look,
- 56:12you look at the, uh, the comment section and
- 56:15it's. I think it's pretty obvious that it's mostly
- 56:18people who live here who are just, you know,
- 56:20MPCs are going to MPC. They're not that different
- 56:22from bots in a lot of ways. Distinction without
- 56:26a difference. They have blood coursing through
- 56:31their veins and pumping hearts. But beyond that,
- 56:33they're basically automatons. But it just blows
- 56:36my mind how we could be so outraged over something
- 56:39that should be. It's procedural. That's it. It
- 56:42is strictly procedural, like. How are we pissed
- 56:45off over this? And also, how is this a mystery?
- 56:48But there we are. That's the world we live in.
- 56:50So whoever fills the slot, they're going to come
- 56:54in already in just in a situation where there's
- 56:57going to be at least two more press articles
- 56:59about it. And whoever fills the slot is going
- 57:01to be accused of who knows what, you know, backroom
- 57:04deals are going to be accused of being a puppet
- 57:07for the current regime or, you know, this whole
- 57:09thing was orchestrated and they better be ready.
- 57:15Well, you know what I'm ready for I'm ready for
- 57:18mid show and a little value for value. How about
- 57:21you? Hell, yeah. Yeah Value for value as mentioned

- 1:00:47like to become an executive producer of the show
- 1:00:49by returning value in the form of treasure That
- 1:00:53can be a dollar it could be a million dollars
- 1:00:56Value means many different things to many different
- 1:00:58people and we love numerology and as such let's
- 1:01:01do this week's executive producers of whom there
- 1:01:06are dos And the first one is numerology. Thirty
- 1:01:13three dollars from. Oh, hey, what are you talking
- 1:01:16about? Thirty three. Repeated executive producer
- 1:01:20Jack Kramer is back with thirty three dollars
- 1:01:22and his note says catching the X in especially.
- 1:01:28That's what tickled Jack's funny bone from last
- 1:01:31week's episode. And that was a especially donation.
- 1:01:34So here's this is for you, Jack, especially.
- 1:01:36especially than it could be especially hard.
- 1:01:39As professor of political science, Jacqueline
- 1:01:41Kettler. Uh -huh. That is a university professor
- 1:01:44saying especially repeatedly on the National
- 1:01:47Treasure NPR. Especially especially than it could
- 1:01:49be especially hard. Especially. Yeah. You need
- 1:01:53an you need an especial kind of baseball mitt
- 1:01:55to catch that kind of language. So that was another
- 1:01:58thing that Matt Todd mentioned was he said that
- 1:02:00that Jackie, as he called her, has been on his
- 1:02:03show a couple of few times, and he enjoys her
- 1:02:06as a person, and I'm sure she actually does sound
- 1:02:08like a really nice lady. I'm just taking exception
- 1:02:11to, or at least pointing out, the notion that
- 1:02:14a university professor, that you've achieved
- 1:02:17that level of the academic ladder, and you're
- 1:02:19saying especially, man, it's just not a good
- 1:02:22look. Yeah, I got nothing, I agree. Right, totally.
- 1:02:29Well, Jack's got something, and he had 33 bucks,
- 1:02:32and we thank you, Jack, for that. And we are
- 1:02:36as annoyed as you are. Yep. And next up is I
- 1:02:42can't remember. This might be maybe only like
- 1:02:44the second or third female executive producer.
- 1:02:49And this is from Katie Prescott, who sent us
- 1:02:52a shiny schmeckle, which is that is nine, nine,
- 1:02:58nine. And Katie said. If Boise can give $200
- 1:03:04,000 to some bum for, quote, severance, I can
- 1:03:09send a shiny schmeckle into the No I .D. show.
- 1:03:12Now that is sound logic. Katie Prescott, way
- 1:03:15to go. Yeah. Very sound logic. Yeah. And that.
- 1:03:20You get a bell. Couple of bells. That is excellent.
- 1:03:23Excellent. Thank you, Katie. I love the way her
- 1:03:27brain works. What she thought to do upon hearing
- 1:03:30that. was send us some cash. That's awesome.
- 1:03:35And so take note, by the way, that that is between
- 1:03:38a dude named Jeff. He clipped that in his Clipperoni
- 1:03:43Pepperoni. And Katie Prescott sent us a shiny
- 1:03:48Schmeckle. So obviously that resonated. Yeah.
- 1:03:52Well, it should. And I'm glad it did. Again,
- 1:03:56it's one of those things that most people, NPCs,
- 1:03:58man, they don't know, they don't care. They're
- 1:04:00not interested in learning about it. You know,
- 1:04:03bureaucrats and people who work for the government,
- 1:04:04they are heroes, tireless heroes and leader,
- 1:04:07leader, leaders. But when you really break it
- 1:04:10down, most of the time, they're just people just
- 1:04:13like us who make way too much money, providing
- 1:04:15very little value to society. And typically just
- 1:04:19telling you what you can and can't do with your
- 1:04:20own stuff, while also stealing your stuff. I
- 1:04:24like your taxes. But don't forget, society would
- 1:04:27collapse without them. I like your taxes. There
- 1:04:31you go. Keep your eyes off my taxes. I'm happy
- 1:04:40to be a bureaucrat. That's Lori Wolf. That is
- 1:04:48Lori Wolf who does budget stuff for the state
- 1:04:51of Idaho with the with the king governor. It
- 1:04:56hurts. It physically hurts to hear that. I'm
- 1:04:59trying to see if I have a sound bite that really.
- 1:05:01It really puts into perspective. No, I don't
- 1:05:04have anything for this. I probably do. So about
- 1:05:06killing tyrants, but oh, well. Oh, I'm shocked.
- 1:05:10OK, go to no ID show. If you'd like to become
- 1:05:17an executive producer, there are clickable buttons
- 1:05:19for all that stuff or for any form of time and
- 1:05:22talent return. So thank you very kindly, everybody.
- 1:05:26Guys. Yes. Yeah. It's time then for second half
- 1:05:30a show. Which which means DJ Paul. Oh, wait,
- 1:05:34are we taking a taking a potty break? Yeah, okay,
- 1:05:37so Do do do do do do I I have decided it's not
- 1:05:43a song I had originally planned for ever actually
- 1:05:48but after listening to the The X Files mystery
- 1:05:53with Bob Norris and the Outer Limits mystery
- 1:05:56with Clark Fork. I I think this makes sense.
- 1:05:59It's a yeah just people who don't know which
- 1:06:02way is up. So here we go. tell you all the things
- 1:07:18that you wanna hear from me too the one that's
- 1:07:26lost here you say you spend the day on and we
- 1:07:31can just play i'm sure you're really nice but
- 1:07:35remember your name and i kinda hate myself for
- 1:07:39leaving in this place last night was it with
- 1:07:59you or were you with me i'm so sick of this This
- 1:08:04is ridiculous think my liver is bout to give
- 1:08:07in this pretty eminent walls closing in space
- 1:08:10limited anything to fill this hole of emptiness
- 1:08:13now I'm on to this way to I just wanna know the
- 1:08:21stress is gonna end Love the way she make me
- 1:08:23say ah again Though it's not a man told I'm honoring
- 1:08:27Fly away and stop and then I start again Steady
- 1:08:30nodding man, I'm a goner if I don't find what
- 1:08:32I be searching all up in All the bottles and
- 1:08:35pretty models and Just a way to leave and step
- 1:08:38up out of me Drink a smoke or needle in the artery
- 1:08:41Tell my honesty and my modesty Disappear while
- 1:08:44I am on this Odyssey all I want to do is see
- 1:08:47it clear trying to get to anywhere but here I
- 1:09:32hear a gift of gab in there. You did. Yeah, my
- 1:09:36man This is why we're friends Scott. Nice job.
- 1:09:39Damn, man. I like I love you. You are at least
- 1:09:42my third best friend At least that means I might
- 1:09:46even be number two Dude, you rank top three take
- 1:09:49it while you can get it. How's that? I know a
- 1:09:51lot of people. Hey you do Wow. Yeah. Oh Put on
- 1:10:12the gloves let's go gonna need them in a bloody
- 1:10:16some knuckles today I'm wrapping my fist with
- 1:10:19a white tape screw gloves. Oh, yeah Put in your
- 1:10:24mouthpiece Rubbing my shoulders. Oh good. Let's
- 1:10:30get a bucket to spit into you. You might need
- 1:10:32it Do you remember all the riots in 2020? I have
- 1:10:41which farm remembers I cannot forget no matter
- 1:10:44how hard I try. Well there were a lot and some
- 1:10:49of them were pretty big and a lot of them were
- 1:10:52ironic to the max because it was a lot of imported
- 1:10:56like bust in white people. Oh yeah. Trying to
- 1:11:00represent Black Lives Matters while they set
- 1:11:04black neighborhoods and black businesses on fire.
- 1:11:07You know things that make sense if you don't
- 1:11:09think about it. So fast forward to now. and anybody
- 1:11:12who actually still remembers or thinks it's talk
- 1:11:15worthy, which is very, very way too few of us.
- 1:11:20And there's an interesting question that's that's
- 1:11:22been asked in a recent poll from the it's a presidential
- 1:11:27election study in 2024. Now, why they asked this
- 1:11:30in the presidential election study, I do not
- 1:11:32know. But hey, there's a lot of things I don't
- 1:11:34know. And the question is, they ask respondents
- 1:11:39to estimate in dollar terms, the amount of damage
- 1:11:43that was done by the George Floyd slash Black
- 1:11:47Lives Matter protests in 2020. And a really interesting
- 1:11:51thing occurs. But before I tell you the interesting
- 1:11:55thing, first, how much damage in dollar terms
- 1:11:59do you think was done? And this is in cities
- 1:12:02coast to coast, like the total amount of damage
- 1:12:05and destruction, property destruction? Yeah,
- 1:12:09as far as I can tell it doesn't narrow it down
- 1:12:11to the st. Louis stuff or to the Wisconsin stuff
- 1:12:14It just said the poll was just it says caused
- 1:12:18by the George Floyd slash Black Lives Matter
- 1:12:20protests in 2020 So it is just in 2020 though
- 1:12:24But it is not exclusive to like st. Louis and
- 1:12:29and Wisconsin Right. Um, yeah, so that's gonna
- 1:12:33be I'm sure it's based on like insurance claim
- 1:12:36data, I'm sure is where the number comes from.
- 1:12:40I'm going to say probably, let's say like 1 .4
- 1:12:44billion. I'm going to give it to you. I mean,
- 1:12:49you're off by a 0 .4, but whatever. What's the
- 1:12:53number cited? You're way in the minority though.
- 1:12:57Okay. So the number is over a billion, but it
- 1:13:02hovers around a billion. It says over a billion.
- 1:13:04So I'm going to give it to you because I'm cool.
- 1:13:08But an interesting thing occurs when you break
- 1:13:13it down by political affiliation and they break
- 1:13:16it down three ways, liberal, moderate and conservative.
- 1:13:20What percentage out of 100 % of liberals got
- 1:13:27that right? You know, I actually think it goes
- 1:13:35the other way. Cause this is that there's been
- 1:13:38a lot of sort of counterintuitive stuff in this,
- 1:13:40in this particular game. And also as I, because
- 1:13:42I'm using that as my jumping off point, I'm like,
- 1:13:45well, probably lefties would overestimate not
- 1:13:52underestimate by a lot. And I don't know, 85
- 1:13:58% of them overestimated something like that.
- 1:14:09So, so horribly wrong. In fact, you out -thought
- 1:14:13yourself, Scott. You out -thought yourself in
- 1:14:15the wrong direction. No, sir. 94 % of liberal
- 1:14:21respondents responded that they thought the damage
- 1:14:23was less than a billion dollars. And while that
- 1:14:27may not seem like important or significant, when
- 1:14:29you break it down further, we're going to go
- 1:14:31like this. 28 % of liberals responded. 28 % that
- 1:14:35they thought the damage was less than a million
- 1:14:38dollars. 41 % of liberal respondents said they
- 1:14:45thought it was in between $1 million and $10
- 1:14:47million. So 69 % think it was less than $10 million.
- 1:14:56That's got to be a function of the media and
- 1:15:01their algo feeding them. Yeah, damn you! That
- 1:15:05was going to be my follow -up question. You suck,
- 1:15:09but you're so awesome. That was part three. You
- 1:15:11jumped the gun, asshole. You're the worst. Why
- 1:15:13do I even do this? It's like I've lost all purpose
- 1:15:17in my life here. This is ridiculous. Why do I
- 1:15:20even do this? You know, I try and I try and I
- 1:15:23find cool things and I set it up for you and
- 1:15:25you can't even let me set it up. You just got
- 1:15:27to knock it down before I even set it up. You're
- 1:15:28like my one year old when I'm trying to build
- 1:15:30blocks for him. He just knocks everything down
- 1:15:32and he's all adorable and cute and smart and
- 1:15:35just doesn't care about my feelings. Yeah. No.
- 1:15:41So that was the damn it, man. That was the punchline.
- 1:15:44Okay. So When they broke it down politically,
- 1:15:4915%, but conservatives actually didn't do tons
- 1:15:52better. Only 15 % of conservatives said it was
- 1:15:54over a billion. So to everyone was underestimating
- 1:15:57it. It was more of an equal spread though. Only,
- 1:16:00only 11 % of conservatives said less than a million.
- 1:16:0330 % of conservatives said one to 10 million,
- 1:16:0510 to 30 % said 10 to 100 million. 13 percent
- 1:16:10said 100 million to a billion and 15 percent.
- 1:16:12This is all conservatives now I'm talking about
- 1:16:14said over a billion. So conservatives did better
- 1:16:16by an order of two and a half. I mean, two, two
- 1:16:19point five times better than the, you know, six
- 1:16:22percent versus 15 percent. But it's just wild.
- 1:16:26Moderates weren't much better. Moderates were
- 1:16:28seven percent. And then the punch line here,
- 1:16:32there was a follow up question and a follow up
- 1:16:36graph to this. And what they did was they measured
- 1:16:40the level of trust placed in the mainstream media.
- 1:16:47How much do you trust journalism in America?
- 1:16:52And I kid you not, in complete direct correlation,
- 1:16:57the farther to the left you go, as you identify
- 1:17:00as a liberal, and those people who said they
- 1:17:03thought the damage was less than a million, on
- 1:17:05a scale of one to six, their trust level, their
- 1:17:08average trust level, 4 .7. Then on the opposite
- 1:17:13end, and it ratchets down, it goes then to 4
- 1:17:15.3 for those people who thought 1 million to
- 1:17:1810 million trust level, then trust level of 3
- 1:17:21.8 for people who guessed 10 million to 100 million
- 1:17:25in damages, then trust level of 3 .3 for those
- 1:17:29who said 100 million to a billion in damages,
- 1:17:31and then trust level of 3 .2 for those who responded
- 1:17:35that damages had to have been over a billion
- 1:17:37dollars. So it directly correlates with your
- 1:17:40lack of trust or your or your trust in the modern
- 1:17:45mainstream media. Yeah. And how you got the answer
- 1:17:48right or wrong. Yeah. Well, a couple of things
- 1:17:50stand out. For one, the the percentages of like,
- 1:17:54you know, quote, conservatives or Republicans
- 1:17:56that you just read off, man, just goes to show
- 1:17:57you how much of that set consumes mainstream
- 1:18:00media, too. Thirty freaking percent is one to
- 1:18:03ten million dollars. 30%. Yeah, like in one night.
- 1:18:07I don't know how you could do that. You know,
- 1:18:09you watch for one night. If you just watched
- 1:18:12the one hour Fox News special even on on what
- 1:18:15was going on and you saw any of the video footage,
- 1:18:18you would have to immediately know that's that's
- 1:18:21hundreds of millions of dollars in damage that's
- 1:18:23going on right now in St. Louis alone. But man,
- 1:18:27when I saw that come through and I found and
- 1:18:29I found that stuff, I just like I. saw some of
- 1:18:32it come through into an email for me because
- 1:18:33I subscribed to different emails that bring this
- 1:18:35sort of information to me. And then I did a little
- 1:18:37digging on my own and it was just like, Oh, I
- 1:18:39got to share this with Scott. I mean, and, and
- 1:18:42the other part too, where the, the low end of
- 1:18:44the trust scale is over three out of six. So
- 1:18:48in other words, you trust, you trust mainstream
- 1:18:50media more than half the time and yet, and you're
- 1:18:52the skeptic. Yeah. Oh, okay. It's wow. It's amazing
- 1:19:00that so I I always use the term that the you
- 1:19:03know, the more you get to understand Kind of
- 1:19:06the average human being who lives out there the
- 1:19:08more you question how they don't drive themselves
- 1:19:10into the ditch on the way home Every day like
- 1:19:12how do they manage to stay on the road? But we
- 1:19:15really solved that mystery today as well. They
- 1:19:17don't they just crash into raising cane signs.
- 1:19:19There you go Well, just think, if it wasn't for
- 1:19:26the state and the roads, there'd be nothing to
- 1:19:31careen off of into a ditch. How could we crash
- 1:19:35into Raising Cane's wonderful chicken house if
- 1:19:38we didn't have roads? Let's listen to some of
- 1:19:42the trustworthy more than half the time, say
- 1:19:46the skeptic, mainstream media and how they covered
- 1:19:49the KCRCC electing a new chair, the Brent Reagan.
- 1:19:55Oh, man, it's so gross. I don't know if I can
- 1:19:58take any more of that. But all right, for you,
- 1:20:00for you, dear listeners, I will endure this.
- 1:20:03All right. Here's here's Idaho NPR quote covering
- 1:20:07it. They are just breathless with excitement.
- 1:20:11This is such a big. OK, I have to preface this.
- 1:20:13I'm sorry. This is such it's a big deal, dude.
- 1:20:15No, this is a big deal because so for two years
- 1:20:18we will have very conservative legislators from
- 1:20:22coming out of districts three, four and five.
- 1:20:25Kootenay County encompasses districts three,
- 1:20:27four and five. And a grand total of like, I want
- 1:20:30to say 10 legislators, but for between the House
- 1:20:33and the Senate. It's a lot. It's a he and for
- 1:20:371516 years, districts three, four and five have
- 1:20:41been pretty, pretty good and actually truly conservative.
- 1:20:45And it's been it's been pretty okay. Not not
- 1:20:48perfect, not great, but you know, they at least
- 1:20:50are card -carrying conservatives for the most
- 1:20:52part. That changes now. We get two more years
- 1:20:56of that because the old Kootenai County Republican
- 1:20:59precinct committee put forth true conservative
- 1:21:03candidates for this election cycle and for this
- 1:21:06midterm election cycle, conservative candidates
- 1:21:08carried the day. But in two years, when the Kootenai
- 1:21:11County precinct committee puts forth candidates
- 1:21:14for the primaries, which again, primaries are
- 1:21:16where it's at in Idaho, unfortunately, uh they
- 1:21:19will put their thumb on the scale for the uh
- 1:21:23establishmentarian candidates and we we well
- 1:21:26i guess we who care about liberty i'm not a conservative
- 1:21:29because conservatives lose me on a lot of liberty
- 1:21:31topics themselves but they're closer than the
- 1:21:34establishment uh conservatives lost cootney county
- 1:21:37and that very well means that conservatives may
- 1:21:39have lost districts three four and five to the
- 1:21:42tune of about a dozen legislators for what could
- 1:21:45be decades It's a big deal and it's a bad, bad
- 1:21:49deal because you had the NIR, the North Idaho
- 1:21:52Republicans with shit tons of money and support
- 1:21:54and establishment connections who are the leftists,
- 1:21:58cosplaying as Republicans, cosplaying as conservatives
- 1:22:00who were on the other side and they have now
- 1:22:03taken over the official Republican brand in Kootenai
- 1:22:05County as well. So not only do they have their
- 1:22:07own NIR backing, but they have the Republican
- 1:22:10brand in their hands as well. So it's all over
- 1:22:15but the crying. for potentially decades, and
- 1:22:17it could swing Idaho leftward pretty hard for
- 1:22:23decades. It's a big deal. And so, yeah, NPR and
- 1:22:27the press and all of the mainstream apparatus
- 1:22:31mouthpieces, they are just breathlessly excited
- 1:22:34about this because life as we know it in Idaho
- 1:22:37will shift. The state Republican Party is getting
- 1:22:42a big gift from an outgoing far right, far right
- 1:22:45political leader in the panhandle. Here's James
- 1:22:47Dawson to explain. On Saturday, the Kootenai
- 1:22:50County Republican Central Committee voted to
- 1:22:52give half of its bank account, or about $64 ,000,
- 1:22:56to its counterparts at the state level. It said
- 1:22:58in a Facebook post, the money will be used to
- 1:23:01defeat a ballot initiative to restore abortion
- 1:23:03rights in Idaho. As first reported by the Coeur
- 1:23:06d 'Alene Press, the gift comes after moderates
- 1:23:08made big gains in last week's precinct elections,
- 1:23:12including toppling Chairman Brent Reagan. Boise
- 1:23:15State political science professor Jacqueline
- 1:23:17Kettler says these sorts of things happen across
- 1:23:19the country from time to time. Current officeholders
- 1:23:23or leadership will kind of... It's the same lady,
- 1:23:26by the way. This is the especially lady. Current
- 1:23:28officeholders or leadership will kind of take
- 1:23:31actions potentially to reduce the power or possible
- 1:23:37influence of those that may come after them.
- 1:23:40In addition to cutting its bank account in half,
- 1:23:43the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee
- 1:23:45also voted to close some of its social media
- 1:23:47accounts, which Kettler says could limit the
- 1:23:50reach of new members. The committee is set to
- 1:23:53vote on its new leadership tonight in Coeur d
- 1:23:55'Alene. And the establishment won. On those votes
- 1:23:59as well. So the chairman the new chairman Ron
- 1:24:01Jacobson is an establishment guy the co -chair
- 1:24:05the vice chair a bunch of the officers Who also
- 1:24:08get to vote by the way, they also get to vote.
- 1:24:11So basically what was a 37 to 37 tie between
- 1:24:17NIR members and the actual conservatives and
- 1:24:21then there were four independent quote -unquote
- 1:24:24independence really all four of them were fucking
- 1:24:26crazies. They're crazy. I know, I know of all
- 1:24:30of them. And so supposedly they're like the swing
- 1:24:33votes, but really what they are is a bunch of
- 1:24:35pedantic morons who will make sure that the NIR
- 1:24:38faction get their way every time because they'll
- 1:24:41try to cut deals that they think they have the
- 1:24:43power to cut. And then they're going to, and
- 1:24:44then they lose. This is what happened actually
- 1:24:46for chairman too. And then they lose and they
- 1:24:48get their asses kicked. And what ends up happening
- 1:24:50is the establishment wins. Because well, yeah,
- 1:24:55yeah, dude, it's so retarded and those are the
- 1:24:57moderates Yeah, the quote -unquote moderates
- 1:25:02The far -right lost far -right lost and then
- 1:25:08moderates Now what's the doubt and I just did
- 1:25:12real quick on the on the Internet's define moderate
- 1:25:15the first definition that comes up reasonable
- 1:25:19restrained or not excessive Literally the first
- 1:25:23word of the definition is reasonable. Yeah. Well,
- 1:25:28these are the people who think it's reasonable
- 1:25:30to take your home if you don't pay them tribute.
- 1:25:33Yeah. Reasonable. Yeah. A 3 % increase in your
- 1:25:38taxes is reasonable, but a 3 % decrease in their
- 1:25:41budget is murder. You're bashing it into the
- 1:25:44ground. You're eviscerating it. It's an all out
- 1:25:46attack. These are the people who protect the
- 1:25:50status quo because the status quo works for them.
- 1:25:52It doesn't matter how asinine or ridiculous the
- 1:25:56laws on the books are, they're not interested
- 1:25:58in changing those laws, they're interested in
- 1:25:59adding to them. But, you know, reasonable. With
- 1:26:05the elections a couple nights ago, the NIR types
- 1:26:09picked up like half a dozen more votes because
- 1:26:12you don't have to be a precinct committeeman
- 1:26:14to be the chairman of the committee. So like
- 1:26:18Ron Jacobson, he wasn't the PC, but he got voted
- 1:26:21in. and he gets a vote and so on and so forth
- 1:26:24and down the line. So NIR, they actually picked
- 1:26:26up like six or seven more votes that night. So
- 1:26:30now it's more like 44 to 37, give or take, and
- 1:26:34then four crazies in the mix who think they have
- 1:26:37power, but they really aren't worth anything
- 1:26:39now because NIR has all the votes they need forever.
- 1:26:44You'll have to forgive me and try not to, you
- 1:26:48know, just drive your car off of the no roads
- 1:26:51and careening to a ditch because I'm going to
- 1:26:53play the Coeur d 'Alene Press's coverage of this.
- 1:26:56And I want you to hear more of the mainstream
- 1:26:58apparatus and how they're presenting this. And
- 1:27:00it gives a little bit more details on the man
- 1:27:02you just mentioned, Ron Jacobson. It's the Coeur
- 1:27:04d 'Alene Press, so it's a print article as read
- 1:27:06by that same voice from 11 Labs. For the first
- 1:27:08time in a decade, the KCRCC has a new leader.
- 1:27:11It voted to choose former Post Falls Mayor Ron
- 1:27:14Jacobson as chair. picking him over precinct
- 1:27:16committeemen and State Senator Ben Tose by a
- 1:27:19margin of 63 to 9. Before the vote, Jacobson
- 1:27:22told the assembled precinct committeemen that
- 1:27:24he believes division is harming the Republican
- 1:27:26Party and that they can find common ground on
- 1:27:29most issues. I'm tired of infighting, he said.
- 1:27:33I'm tired of separation. Jacobson served three
- 1:27:36terms on the Post Falls. I'm also tired of you
- 1:27:38Post Falls residents showing your faces. Now
- 1:27:41mask up. Jacobson served three terms on the Post
- 1:27:44Falls City Council. and three more as mayor.
- 1:27:46By the way, I did see some people going like,
- 1:27:48well, yeah, but, you know, Mayor Jacobson, he
- 1:27:51later apologized and said that he was wrong on
- 1:27:54the masks issue. Man, don't you guys get it?
- 1:27:57Who in the world thinks they have the authority
- 1:28:00over another human being in such fashion? These
- 1:28:03are dangerous people. Just wait for the next
- 1:28:05opportunity that Ron Jacobson has to be wrong
- 1:28:07about something. Jacobson served three terms
- 1:28:10on the Post Falls City Council and three more
- 1:28:12as mayor in November. He lost his bid for a fourth
- 1:28:16mayoral term to Randy Westland, who is a precinct
- 1:28:19committeeman, and nominated Jacobson for chair.
- 1:28:22Thursday's vote came a little more than a week
- 1:28:24after longtime chair Brent Regan lost his precinct
- 1:28:27to Rick Montandon, opening the door to the possibility
- 1:28:30of new leadership. Though the party rules allow
- 1:28:33for Republicans who are not precinct committeemen
- 1:28:36to be placed in leadership positions, no one
- 1:28:38nominated Regan on Thursday night. Candidates
- 1:28:41backed by Kootenay Freedom Caucus A PAC bankrolled
- 1:28:44by the KCRCC secured 37 seats, while candidates
- 1:28:48supported by rival PAC North Idaho Republicans
- 1:28:50picked up 33 seats. The remaining four seats
- 1:28:53on the Central Committee were won by Republican
- 1:28:55candidates unaffiliated with either group. Jacobson
- 1:28:58said, the Central Committee can achieve great
- 1:29:00things through cooperation. You're much more
- 1:29:03successful when you play as a team as opposed
- 1:29:05to fighting with each other, Jacobson said. We
- 1:29:09should play as a team. Now that we've won. Let's
- 1:29:13come together and agree. Yep. They're just the
- 1:29:17reasonable ones. There's a phrase I always like
- 1:29:22to use for the quote unquote moderates or the
- 1:29:26reasonable as they like to call themselves. Basically,
- 1:29:29the way they frame every conversation when you
- 1:29:32really listen is can't we have a civil discussion
- 1:29:35about my plans to have you thrown in a cage if
- 1:29:37you don't pay for what I want? Why are we so
- 1:29:39divided? This division is your fault, they say.
- 1:29:43as they pass more laws like it blows. It drives
- 1:29:47me nuts when people talk about division and then
- 1:29:50blame people like me for being the ones who are
- 1:29:54divisive when I'm I'm the person who would never
- 1:29:58do anything like I'm not the person trying to
- 1:30:02exert my will on somebody else. So I'm basically
- 1:30:05it's benign. I'm a I'm a I'm a negative or a
- 1:30:08benign or a zero or whatever you want to call
- 1:30:10it. We're like I'm not the one aggressing other
- 1:30:13people. So there's nothing divisive. I don't
- 1:30:16do anything divisive. People who want less control
- 1:30:19over your life are the non -divisive ones. The
- 1:30:22thing that is divisive is the positive thing.
- 1:30:26And by positive, I don't mean like it's a good
- 1:30:28moral thing. I mean like negative action, positive
- 1:30:30action, meaning like you either do something
- 1:30:32or you don't do something or you do the opposite
- 1:30:34of something. So when you're the one doing the
- 1:30:40act, That is the divisive thing. When you're
- 1:30:45the one saying, hey, I have an idea. Let's do
- 1:30:47this. And guess what? We'll steal money. We'll
- 1:30:49take it from everybody else. And if we have enough
- 1:30:52people who agree with us, then it's legit and
- 1:30:54we can take it. And I go, no, I don't want to
- 1:30:58do that. And they go, why are you being divisive?
- 1:31:01That's right. Yeah. We come for you and then
- 1:31:04you object and then you're the divisive one.
- 1:31:07Yep. You just stop coming for me. This whole
- 1:31:09problem would be solved. They point a gun at
- 1:31:13us and they say, give us your rights. And we
- 1:31:15just go, no. And they go, is that a threat? Are
- 1:31:20you threatening us? That's pretty much it. Well,
- 1:31:24I wasn't, but. And then half of our fellow citizens
- 1:31:27are like, but what about the roads? Yeah. So.
- 1:31:36I know things got a little serious around here
- 1:31:37for a minute, but it's been on my mind pretty
- 1:31:40hard for the last few weeks because it's a bummer,
- 1:31:42man, and it's going to change things, and it's
- 1:31:44going to be almost impossible to ever reclaim
- 1:31:47it. And I'm going to put it out there, man. A
- 1:31:51big part of it was the candlelight Christian
- 1:31:54fellowship crazies. That church and their people
- 1:31:58did this because they spurred the infighting
- 1:32:03in the conservative wing of things. They're the
- 1:32:06ones who started it, they fanned to the flames,
- 1:32:08and they cost a number of good conservative people
- 1:32:12their seats. And they even came out and endorsed
- 1:32:15people who were NIR people just out of spite
- 1:32:20because they had personal beefs. A very classic
- 1:32:25example of why conservatives ultimately tend
- 1:32:28to lose a lot. Yeah, because you can't see the
- 1:32:32force for the trees and you can't understand
- 1:32:34there's a difference between tactics and strategy
- 1:32:36and they both have to work in tandem or else
- 1:32:39you lose and you have to see you have to be able
- 1:32:42to see the 10 foot view the thousand foot view
- 1:32:44and the 10 ,000 foot view or else you lose you
- 1:32:48have to put your ego aside or else you lose because
- 1:32:53leftists are collectivists, and collectivists
- 1:32:55do work in lockstep, and they're not smart people,
- 1:32:58but they're cunning and they're clever, and they
- 1:33:00know well enough that if they work together and
- 1:33:02they have the money, they win. So, goodbye Kootenay
- 1:33:08County. I'm so glad I live up here, Scott. And
- 1:33:11then once they win, they can totally, in a non
- 1:33:15-divisive way, come for you. And they will. Right.
- 1:33:20They will. Let's do one for before we wrap here.
- 1:33:23Let's do a for a little levity because I find
- 1:33:25a lot of this to be hilarious. Let's do a follow
- 1:33:27up on the so -called ice trial in that one. This
- 1:33:32is in Spokane, but we had our boots on the ground
- 1:33:34report a couple shows ago from the inside of
- 1:33:37the courthouse there and some of the amusing
- 1:33:39goings on as all of the commie crazies gather
- 1:33:43for. Well, you'll hear the names. Breaking news
- 1:33:47now in a high profile story. Creme 2 News has
- 1:33:49been following for months now. Just hours ago,
- 1:33:51a jury reached a verdict in the case against
- 1:33:53three defendants charged in connection with last
- 1:33:55summer's anti ice protest in Spokane. Creme 2's
- 1:33:57Regan Gallo was in the federal courtroom today
- 1:33:59as the sentences were handed down. She has more
- 1:34:01now from downtown Spokane. Well, in a packed
- 1:34:06courtroom, tears were seen on several faces as
- 1:34:10a federal jury returned a guilty verdict. Now,
- 1:34:14for justice for all, Jack Archer and Bajan Mabawala,
- 1:34:18they were found. Let's play those one more time.
- 1:34:20Mabawala? Yeah, yeah. Justice for all. Is this
- 1:34:23guy an Arrested Development character? Blah,
- 1:34:27blah, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, is he related to
- 1:34:29blah, blah, blah? So I looked up all three of
- 1:34:32these seem to be legit names. justice, and then
- 1:34:35it's F -O -R -A -L -L, and I can't, I mean, just
- 1:34:39relying on what the internet spits back to me,
- 1:34:41so who the hell knows, but the internet was like,
- 1:34:43well, we don't see any public records that would
- 1:34:45indicate that name has been changed, so. Maybe
- 1:34:47it's actually a birth name here. Here they are
- 1:34:50again. Jury returned a guilty verdict. Now for
- 1:34:54justice for all Jack Archer and Bajan Mabawala.
- 1:34:58What's Jack Archer doing in there? Come on, buddy.
- 1:35:01Yeah. One of these things is not like the other.
- 1:35:03He's the one who gets to cut a deal when they
- 1:35:07end up in Britain. He walks. Good job, Agent
- 1:35:11Archer. Now for justice for all Jack Archer and
- 1:35:15Bajan Mabawala. They were found guilty of conspiring
- 1:35:18to impede or injure officers during Spokane's
- 1:35:22downtown ice protest last June. Several people,
- 1:35:26including the three defendants, showed disappointment
- 1:35:29and tears following the verdict. And this comes
- 1:35:31after a two week trial and the jury had been
- 1:35:35in deliberation to two weeks Wednesday afternoon.
- 1:35:38Now Bayesian mobile Wallace father spoke to a
- 1:35:41crowd of supporters afterwards sharing his reaction.
- 1:35:46fought for, what my son is standing for, what
- 1:35:50justice is standing for, what Jack is standing
- 1:35:52for, are the freedoms that separate this country.
- 1:35:56Isn't it hilarious when commies pretend to care
- 1:35:58about freedoms? I wish that they cared this much
- 1:36:01about, again, all the same list I always roll
- 1:36:05off here. You're this passionate about people
- 1:36:09breaking the law. And so when it comes to illegal
- 1:36:12immigration, you're like, yeah, this is about
- 1:36:14freedom. Okay. I actually, I can, I can see a
- 1:36:17side of that conversation. I can't, I'm a libertarian.
- 1:36:20I believe in the free movement of peoples and
- 1:36:22the arbitrary lines. That's all. Of course I
- 1:36:25see the point. You don't care about freedom.
- 1:36:27It's disingenuous. Yeah. And if you gave a shit
- 1:36:29at all about actual freedom or anything that
- 1:36:32you think that you're saying here, that you would
- 1:36:33be right next to me as I tell them, no, you can't
- 1:36:36take my house and you can't tax me out of it.
- 1:36:38And no, get your hands out of my pockets and
- 1:36:42I'll, I'll, I'll travel where I want. Thank you
- 1:36:44very much. And also don't tax me, bro. But what
- 1:36:47about the roads? Nope. Well, without the roads,
- 1:36:52we couldn't have a legal immigration. So freedoms
- 1:36:57that separate these freedoms from the dictatorships
- 1:37:01and the banana republics of this planet. The
- 1:37:03Spokane mayor, Lisa Brown, said in a statement
- 1:37:06today, since the federal charges were filed,
- 1:37:08I have maintained that this prosecution was politically
- 1:37:12motivated. It was meant to make an example out
- 1:37:14of people who disagreed with federal immigration
- 1:37:16policy. Councilwoman Kate Tell is also appealed.
- 1:37:20And didn't didn't they like actually physically
- 1:37:23impede federal agents? I mean, Right. That's
- 1:37:27the step, which is really interesting that the
- 1:37:29charge is conspiring to impede as far as I could
- 1:37:32tell unless unless I missed it. That was the
- 1:37:34charge. No other charges like conspiring. But
- 1:37:38didn't they actually do the thing? Yeah. And
- 1:37:42like let air out of the tires or slash the tires
- 1:37:44of a federal vehicle. Or I mean, like that seems
- 1:37:46like yes. Like you're you're doing the thing.
- 1:37:48You're not conspiring to do the thing. You conspired
- 1:37:51and you did it. Yeah. Like you guys were all
- 1:37:53you were all in like this year. You were in a
- 1:37:55Safeway parking lot next to the loading zone
- 1:37:58at one o 'clock in the morning. And you were
- 1:38:00like tapping all your fingers against each other
- 1:38:03as you were thinking about what you were going
- 1:38:05to do. Or were you just in the street slashing
- 1:38:08the tires of an ICE vehicle? Which I mean, you
- 1:38:14know. Brass balls. I'll give you credit. All
- 1:38:16right. You got some sand and you're standing
- 1:38:18up for what you believe. A credit where credit
- 1:38:20is due. I just wish damn it. You guys would do
- 1:38:22that for things that are a little closer to home.
- 1:38:24That's the thing. Well, they're not things that
- 1:38:26I'm with you on the courage. But it's they weren't
- 1:38:28they're not standing up for the things they believe
- 1:38:29in. They don't believe in anything. They're standing
- 1:38:31up for that which they were algo'd into that
- 1:38:33day. Yeah. Well, you get caught damaging federal
- 1:38:36property or impeding a federal investigation.
- 1:38:38I don't know what's political about that. Like
- 1:38:40they got to charge you with that shit no matter
- 1:38:42what your politics are. Always. I guess the only
- 1:38:45thing that might make it political is, is what
- 1:38:47the, um, I'd be curious to hear what the sentencing
- 1:38:49is on it. Like what, what, what they, what their
- 1:38:52punishment ends up being. Now, if their punishment
- 1:38:54is like, you know, crazy out there, then, then
- 1:38:58yeah, you could maybe make the case that, oh,
- 1:38:59this was a, this was political and the punishment
- 1:39:02shows that. But you know, you did what you did
- 1:39:05and the feds are going to get you, man. That
- 1:39:08part's not political. You, you play stupid games,
- 1:39:11you win stupid prizes. And hell, I kind of agree
- 1:39:14with them on some things and have respect for
- 1:39:17them even on some things, but also they're retarded.
- 1:39:21Here is the rest of the mainstream city of Spokane
- 1:39:25figures speaking on behalf of the NPC protesters.
- 1:39:30This prosecution was because the first one, if
- 1:39:32you heard, was the mayor today since the federal
- 1:39:35charges were filed. The Spokane mayor, Lisa Brown,
- 1:39:38said in a statement today, since the federal
- 1:39:40charges were filed, I have maintained that this
- 1:39:43prosecution was politically motivated. It was
- 1:39:45meant to make an example out of people who disagreed
- 1:39:48with federal immigration policy. Councilwoman
- 1:39:50Kate Tellis. No, it's not an example of people
- 1:39:53who disagree. It's an example of people who got
- 1:39:56in the streets and slashed tires. There's a lot
- 1:39:59of people who disagree with federal immigration
- 1:40:01policy who didn't exhibit that behavior who aren't
- 1:40:04being prosecuted. Isn't it interesting how people
- 1:40:09break the law when they see fit and then they'll
- 1:40:12tout the law the moment that it suits their purposes.
- 1:40:16Preference over principle. That's both sides.
- 1:40:20Absolutely. I mean, conservatives will thump
- 1:40:21their chests and be like, you know, I'll do whatever
- 1:40:24I want with my guns. Forget the law. But don't
- 1:40:28you dare gamble or smoke weed and then I'll bring
- 1:40:31out the law on your ass or cross that border.
- 1:40:35You know liberals are like just on the opposite
- 1:40:38of things, you know, they'll break they'll break
- 1:40:40the laws for marijuana and they'll break the
- 1:40:42laws for Prostitution and they'll break the laws
- 1:40:45for illegal immigration. But don't you dare think
- 1:40:47about not paying your taxes Here's the last part
- 1:40:52of the clip Councilwoman Kate Telles also appeared
- 1:40:55outside the courthouse after the verdict and
- 1:40:57told me she is disappointed and looking forward
- 1:41:00for justice prevailing. Councilwoman Sarah Distic
- 1:41:03also shared her disappointment to the crowd of
- 1:41:05supporters outside the courthouse today. This
- 1:41:08is a continuing developing story that we will
- 1:41:10continue to report on. Okay, I'm just going to
- 1:41:14throw it out there right now that these people
- 1:41:16who are parading in the streets, these elected
- 1:41:18leader, leader, leaders who are talking this
- 1:41:21way and behaving this way are the same leader
- 1:41:25leader leaders who just last year or two years
- 1:41:28ago now prosecuted a small handful of teenagers
- 1:41:32for defacing rainbow crosswalks in downtown Spokane
- 1:41:38because the teenagers were having themselves
- 1:41:39a day and they thought it'd be fun and fun and
- 1:41:42it was actually funny to basically put graffiti
- 1:41:46on rainbow crosswalks because the city of Spokane
- 1:41:49for pride month made their crosswalks all rainbowy
- 1:41:52naturally. And a group of, of youths like rode
- 1:41:56their bikes on some of the crosswalks and like
- 1:41:58left tire marks and did some, I think they did
- 1:42:00some spray paint. They did a few, I mean, like,
- 1:42:03you know, minor stuff, stuff you shouldn't be
- 1:42:06doing again, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
- 1:42:08Cause what do you expect is going to happen?
- 1:42:10But what they didn't expect was for the city
- 1:42:12to come down with the full force of the learner.
- 1:42:15And it did. And it prosecuted them for defacing
- 1:42:17public property. and went after them hard. But
- 1:42:22these are the same people, though. Sounds politically
- 1:42:24motivated. Do that to teenagers. Sounds politically
- 1:42:27motivated, mayor of Spokane. Huh. It's just rules
- 1:42:32for thee, but not for thee, for me. Or, you know,
- 1:42:34I like the stuff I like and I don't like the
- 1:42:37stuff I don't like. So, you know, this over here
- 1:42:39is justice and this over here is injustice because
- 1:42:44I say so. The law is just whatever I want it
- 1:42:48to be. I sit here and I disagree with almost
- 1:42:52all of it. Everybody's wrong as usual. That is
- 1:42:56why government should not exist or be way, way
- 1:43:01smaller because here we are. We can't agree on
- 1:43:04anything. So why on God's green earth would we
- 1:43:06allow a small handful of people to dictate this
- 1:43:08to us? Here is the reason that government can
- 1:43:12never, it's never smaller and it only goes the
- 1:43:15other way because the public wants it on account
- 1:43:17of the mainstream, which is why we do this show.
- 1:43:19I'm going to play us out with this final clip.
- 1:43:21I know we're out over time, but the gas prices
- 1:43:25might fluctuate and it might not be relevant
- 1:43:27by next week's show. So I got to play us out
- 1:43:29with this. You got to tell me what is missing
- 1:43:31from this Four News Now report. This is nearly
- 1:43:3480 cents cheaper. You know what? Yes, it is.
- 1:43:37Here comes the question. Big or small, make your
- 1:43:40guess before we call. The game begins. It's Ask.
- 1:43:44Paul. Brought to you by Raising Canes. The Raising
- 1:43:48Canes. So it's the first word got cut off, but
- 1:43:51it's gas is nearly 80 cents cheaper per gallon
- 1:43:54in Idaho compared to Washington, and that's causing
- 1:43:57many drivers to head across the border. New data
- 1:43:59confirms there have been more trips from Washington
- 1:44:01to Post Falls since gas prices spiked earlier
- 1:44:04this year. Derek Strom spoke with customers about
- 1:44:07how much they're saving. Driver analytics company
- 1:44:09Arity released new data that confirms drivers
- 1:44:12are heading to Idaho for cheaper gas, and in
- 1:44:14the past few months that number jumped by nearly
- 1:44:1710 % when gas prices spiked. Visits across the
- 1:44:20border have come down slightly since then, but
- 1:44:23the data shows Washington drivers are still heading
- 1:44:25to Post Falls more often. Even though that data
- 1:44:28from Arity shows fewer people making the trip
- 1:44:31from Washington to Post Falls for cheaper gas
- 1:44:33prices, many of the gas stations here in State
- 1:44:36Line are still seeing lines. the pump. State
- 1:44:39lines al for people who don't really prices.
- 1:44:45I used to live in drive all the way here. J and
- 1:44:50cigarettes and for g at the two gas stations
- 1:44:54t that its owners are build set to open next
- 1:44:58month. We a lot. A lot of people ge This hopefully
- 1:45:05will make it a lot easier. The way the pumps
- 1:45:06are set up is a lot better. The manager at the
- 1:45:10Liberty Stop and Go and State Lines says the
- 1:45:12cheaper nicotine products also draws people from
- 1:45:14Washington. For customers like Rick Lloyd, the
- 1:45:17amount he saves on both cigarettes and gas will
- 1:45:19keep him coming back. This is like a 14 -ing
- 1:45:23gallon change. So if it's empty, it is about
- 1:45:26a buck difference. You're gonna save 14 bucks
- 1:45:28about. Come over here, buy a carton of cigarettes,
- 1:45:30you save another 30, and that's 45 bucks back
- 1:45:33in your pocket. In state line, Derek Strom, Four
- 1:45:36News Now. Now that's a minute and 50 second clip
- 1:45:39that didn't include the most obvious question
- 1:45:43one would ask upon hearing the premise of this
- 1:45:45story. What didn't they include? I'll take why
- 1:45:49are prices higher in Washington than they are
- 1:45:51in Idaho, Trebek, and then I'll answer the question.
- 1:45:55I will take what are taxes, Trebek, for a thousand.
- 1:46:01Hello! I win! I win! It's almost like, it's almost
- 1:46:06like money goes where it's most respected. It's
- 1:46:09like capital will flee to where it is most protected
- 1:46:13and most respected and goes the furthest always.
- 1:46:17I mean, the, the town of state line, Idaho is
- 1:46:22completely built around Washington sucking as
- 1:46:26hard as it does. And I'm dead serious. Like it's,
- 1:46:28it's that if Washington ever decided to stop
- 1:46:33eating shit and get better, the town of Stateline,
- 1:46:38Idaho would probably dry up and go away. It wouldn't
- 1:46:40be, it wouldn't, it wouldn't exist. Like it depends
- 1:46:43on Washington being so shitty. Yeah. Tobacco
- 1:46:47taxes, liquor taxes and gas taxes. And, and Stateline
- 1:46:52has an abundance of all of those products at
- 1:46:55a significantly lower price. And it, and they
- 1:46:58don't even have to compete on, on actual price.
- 1:47:01It's not like they're offering the product cheaper.
- 1:47:05It's just that the taxes are less expensive,
- 1:47:09so therefore the product can be offered cheaper.
- 1:47:13Here's an ask Scott or an ask Paul, I guess,
- 1:47:17kind of speaks for itself. But can you guess
- 1:47:20the number one performing liquor store in Idaho?
- 1:47:29Well, I think it's been mentioned on this program,
- 1:47:31although it's been months. Is it at State Line?
- 1:47:35There's the State Line, the Post Falls State
- 1:47:38Line Liquor Store. You win again. And then the
- 1:47:40Post Falls, the actual Post Falls Liquor Store,
- 1:47:42the one that's just off of Spokane Street is
- 1:47:44the third best performing store in the whole
- 1:47:47state. That's my home store. Can you, I bet you
- 1:47:51can guess why. Anyways, we could go on like this
- 1:47:53forever. Yeah, no kidding. Oh, more mysteries.
- 1:47:56Hold on. Let me get the X -Files thing back on.
- 1:47:58Why, why does this happen? Why do Washingtonians
- 1:48:02come over here and buy stuff? Why do people do
- 1:48:05the things they do? Hey, I know. Makes no sense.
- 1:48:08Let's do a two minute report and not even ask
- 1:48:11that question. Well, just it just hangs in the
- 1:48:15air. It's just this magical phenomenon of Idaho
- 1:48:17gas prices being less expensive. And then we'll
- 1:48:21interview four people, all of whom are lighting
- 1:48:25one cigarette off the next, apparently. If only
- 1:48:28there was a way to figure out. Why people bought
- 1:48:30more stuff in Idaho. If only we could figure
- 1:48:33out who drove that truck into Raising Cane's
- 1:48:37sign. And if only we could figure out where the
- 1:48:40hell Jensen Heilman lives. We could solve all
- 1:48:43the world's problems this week. But these and
- 1:48:46many more answers are just too difficult to figure
- 1:48:50out. This NPR report brought to you by Raising
- 1:48:55Cane's. OK, well, that's that's episode number
- 1:49:0031 of your No ID Show. That was fun. In the can.
- 1:49:04And we don't really ask a lot of questions either,
- 1:49:06other than just what is wrong with everybody?
- 1:49:09Why is everyone wrong about everything all the
- 1:49:11time? Why is everyone such an NPC? Can't you
- 1:49:14people see what's going on here? I feel like
- 1:49:16I'm taking crazy pills. Those are the type of
- 1:49:19questions we ask. But why mail money? Why? It's
- 1:49:23a legitimate question. Why are you the way that
- 1:49:27you are? Why? Why, why, why? Well, I know why.
- 1:49:35Money! Money! If you money move a couple of keys
- 1:49:39away from the Y and go to the W instead www .noidshow
- 1:49:45.com that's where you can go to do all the things
- 1:49:49return value to our program because our program
- 1:49:51runs on value for value if of course you find
- 1:49:54the show valuable everything is downstream of
- 1:49:57that if you don't well why did you I'm not really
- 1:50:00sure why you made it this far in the show but
- 1:50:02thanks well I'll tell you what We're cheaper.
- 1:50:06The podcast is cheaper over here in Idaho than
- 1:50:08it is in Washington. So now I understand why
- 1:50:10the spook from Spokane and all of his buddies
- 1:50:13listen to us because we're less expensive. Well,
- 1:50:16you made a mistake even asking why. That's not
- 1:50:18a relevant question. I didn't ask why. I gave
- 1:50:22the answer. I didn't ask the question. Okay.
- 1:50:25Well, what's wrong with you? Don't you listen?
- 1:50:27You never listen to a word I say. Huh? Noidyshow
