  [SPEAKER_00]: The running back market is always interesting because you just never know like one year somebody's gonna get more than you expect the next year or somebody's gonna less than you expect it's an undervalued position overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you know you look at the Juante Williams contract maybe that's what Travis C.T.N's gonna be looking at about eight million a year or something or maybe it's actually closer to the James Cook contract last year which was like 12 and a half something like that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So don't know exactly but if you're going to be paying

  [SPEAKER_00]: legit starter money at the running back position to to a player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, close to 10 million above eight million, whatever we're talking about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I thought it should be Travis ETN because he's a complete back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a good receiver out of the back field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I would imagine you're paying more for Kenneth Walker?

  [SPEAKER_00]: If the Jack Wars want to go down that road, I'm not going to be mad if Kenneth Walker is sitting up until next year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: However, I don't personally think that that's the best use of their resources, especially if you cost more than ETN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The reason I keep ETN is because I can establish chemistry, cohesion in the backfield that with the guys I have because I have ETN coming back, who is more familiar with this system than Kenneth Walker, who is more complete player than Kenneth Walker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And just going to be cheaper than Kenneth Walker, I do believe.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if the Jaguars do want to go down that road of Kenneth Walker and Teal, which again, would surprise me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: or signing a lower-end free agent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Some of the guys we talked about yesterday, a Rashad White, a Tyler Algier, Rico Dowdo, Kenneth Gainwell, and not all of those are the same archetype, but they can all help in different ways.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are the guys that kind of make more sense to me, just from a resource management standpoint.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I would rather spend those resources you could spend on Kenneth Walker on getting good defensive linemen in here to create a big time rotation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if the jackwares are gonna go down that road, I do think Kenneth Walker is a more dynamic runner than Travis E.T.N.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he is a better running back than Travis E.T.N.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, when it comes to just running the football, like you hand the ball off to this guy, I think you're going to see better results overall than you see with Travis ETN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That is not a slide on Travis ETN who, again, I think is a more complete player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: However, like the Seahawks at times during the year last year were taking

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kenneth Walker off the field and clear passing situations.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to do that with E.T.N.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, yes, you do have basal to it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Lee Quint Allen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And you could go sign somebody cheaper and you could go draft a running back this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if Kenneth Walker is sitting up in Teele, I do think you can expect to see somebody who has a more explosive jump cut.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a little bit more creative of a runner than Travis ETN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think ETN is, I mean, he is fast, he is explosive, but I think you see more jump cuts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think you see more physicality with Kenneth Walker as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like Travis ETN, he forced 46 Miss Tacos last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if you're just talking about the regular season,

  [SPEAKER_00]: It was 61 forced mist tackles from Walker to 45 from ETN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has got better contact balance.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, more physicality, more creativity.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But as a complete player, I value ETN a little bit more.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Walker as a receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think similar to ETAN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's caught 133 passes and four years in the NFL.

  [SPEAKER_00]: 153 targets 133 catches 7.6 yards per catch.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When you look at just like the period yards per carry,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that the offense here and has a big impact on that and specifically the offensive line.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But as receivers, I think they're in a similar ballpark.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Neither of them really puts the ball on the ground.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Both of them have very sure hands from a passcatching standpoint and a ball security, not fumbling the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I mean, I will say, D.T.N.

  [SPEAKER_00]: has career drop rate is 7.7%.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got 81% of his targets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kenneth Walker, he's got 86.9% of his career targets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you could actually make the argument.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Walker is a better runner and more consistent receiver out of the back field, but Travis ETN certainly gets the nod when it comes to pass protection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now he wasn't a great pass protector prior to 2025 when Liam Cohen and company in Chad Morton came in and did a great job with him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Kenneth Walker's never been a good pass protector.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's been a very poor pass protector throughout his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think overall Kenneth Walker, probably the better player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: As much as I hate to admit that, he's also younger.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's 25, E.T.N.'

  [SPEAKER_00]: So there's certainly pros to Kenneth Walker versus Travis E.T.N.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a better pure runner and you can certainly make the argument.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a more reliable receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But they were taking them off the field in situations where they would ask him to pass per tech that times in Seattle and with good reason.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He, you know, and past pro, he allowed seven pressures on 42 pass blocking attempts last year, 88.9 pass pro efficiency, whereas you look at Travis ETN, his past pro last year, it's 97.4% pass pro efficiency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now coaching matters, offense matters.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe in a Liam Cohen offense, you could see a better number from Kenneth Walker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But that takes understanding the offense, understanding the blitz protections, and the offensive line protections,

  [SPEAKER_00]: and obviously the willingness to do it, which I don't think that's an issue.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's interesting when you really dive into it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna be mad if Kenneth Walker's sitting up until next year, it's probably not the path I would particularly choose to go down.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If I wasn't bringing back ET in, I would probably be looking at someone cheaper or just going towards the draft to fill out the running back room.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see Lee Quint Allen get more reps. Like he was good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you want to make Lee Quint Allen a feature back, but I want to see him get more reps too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So to me, maybe, again, someone who's cheaper like a Rashad White who has had success in this system

  [SPEAKER_00]: or a Ricco Doudle Tyler Algier type player who is more of that, you can put the run game on their shoulders.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They can be bell-cowed, like workhorse typebacks, or potentially a Kenneth Gainwell, who can do a little bit of everything and is a great receiver for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But hey, I'm not in the business right now of really questioning a lot of what James Gladstone and Liam Cohen want to do.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I still think that the game plan and play calling against the bills, they should have been run the ball a lot more.
