September 23rd
Jazz, soul, rock, reggae and hip-hop come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to September 23.
We celebrate the 100th anniversary of John Coltrane’s birth, remember Ray Charles and Bruce Springsteen, revisit the release of David Bowie’s “Heroes”, look back at Bob Marley’s final concert, and return to OutKast’s landmark double album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.
One date, several artists, and a series of moments that helped shape modern music.
