- 0:00We could say that it is almost a universal experience.
- 0:05A child expresses some sentiment, some idea about what
- 0:09he or she would like to do, something that soars beyond the
- 0:13mundane daily existence, something that makes things
- 0:16better, increases the beauty and harmony of life, cherishes life.
- 0:23And then the elders, parents, relatives, teachers, make it
- 0:28clear to the child that their dreams are not practical and
- 0:32they should instead focus on their studies and preparing for
- 0:36a career or job that will provide them a stable livelihood
- 0:40in their adult lives. Rare are those elders who can
- 0:45nourish and encourage the dreams of these children and who take
- 0:49steps to help them actually work toward achieving them.
- 0:54An example that seems to frequently come up is the
- 0:56natural and spontaneous love for animals that children exhibit
- 1:00and their aversion to eating meat when they find out that
- 1:04meat is actually a slaughtered animal.
- 1:07Parents in meat eating societies often force the children to eat
- 1:11meat despite the child's aversion, and many is the time
- 1:16that a family dog benefited from the child's resistance as the
- 1:21meat seemingly disappeared down to the floor.
- 1:25Many children seem to have an innate sense of beauty, harmony,
- 1:29harmlessness, justice, truth, goodwill and basic harmony.
- 1:37We could ask how it is that. Children.
- 1:39Have such dreams or aspirations? Where do they come from if they
- 1:43are not part of their daily external lives or education?
- 1:48It is clear when 1 looks closely.
- 1:51That they bring them from another domain of being those
- 1:55who understand these things. In depth speak of the
- 1:57development of the psychic being.
- 1:59Over many. Lifetimes, the maturity of the
- 2:02understanding. Without the intellectual.
- 2:05Words to. Express it comes with them into
- 2:08the new. Life.
- 2:09They have taken on. It is.
- 2:11Also in such a manner that we can understand how a young.
- 2:15Mozart five years old. Can be writing music and at age
- 2:206 performing before Royal Courts in Europe, speaking to a
- 2:25maturity and power of expression far beyond that of.
- 2:29Toddlers generally, the mother notes quote.
- 2:35When one is very young, and, as I say, well born, that is, born
- 2:40with a conscious psychic being within, there is always in the
- 2:44dreams of the child a kind of aspiration which for its child's
- 2:49consciousness is a sort of ambition for something which
- 2:53would be beauty without ugliness, justice without
- 2:57injustice, goodness without limits, and a conscious constant
- 3:02success, a perpetual miracle. One dreams of miracles.
- 3:07When one is young, one wants all wickedness to disappear,
- 3:12everything to be always luminous, beautiful, happy.
- 3:16One likes stories which end happily.
- 3:19This is what one should rely on when the body feels its
- 3:23miseries, its limitations. One must establish this dream in
- 3:28it of a strength which would have no limit, a beauty which
- 3:32would have no ugliness, and of marvelous capacities.
- 3:37One dreams of being able to rise into the air, of being wherever
- 3:41it is necessary to be, of setting things right when they
- 3:45go wrong, of healing the sick. Indeed, one has all sorts of
- 3:50dreams. When 1 is very young, usually
- 3:53parents or teachers pass their time throwing cold water on it,
- 3:57telling you, oh, it is a dream, it's not reality.
- 4:03They should do the very opposite.
- 4:05Children should be taught. Yes, this is what you must try
- 4:09to realize. And not only is it possible, but
- 4:13it is certain if you come in contact with the part in you
- 4:16which is capable of doing this thing.
- 4:19This is what should guide your life, organize it, make you
- 4:23develop in the direction of the true reality which the Earl
- 4:28ordinary world calls illusion. End Quote Reference Srioro Bindo
