- 0:12Speaker 1: It's time hell and Love Lo Love. Hello, welcome to
- 0:16Speaker 1: the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your house dump shooter
- 0:19Speaker 1: and it's Tuesday, which means our dear friend Delayer Dixon
- 0:23Speaker 1: joins us. Hey, Delayner, are you there.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Yes, I'm back. I'll rested from the Golden Globe. So
- 0:29Speaker 2: good to be back with the natties.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Welcome back, welcome back. We've missed you, my friend. Let's
- 0:34Speaker 1: jump into the show. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:37Speaker 1: It is de time. Big big story at the top
- 0:40Speaker 1: of the show. So Harry Prince, Harry's trial in London
- 0:43Speaker 1: got off to a very strong start. It is a
- 0:46Speaker 1: phone hacking scandal, and is a phone hacking trial, let
- 0:50Speaker 1: me explain. So he's in London battling a British tabloids
- 0:53Speaker 1: and it got off to a really really strong start. Misteve.
- 0:57Speaker 1: The Prince arrived at the High Court and he was calm,
- 1:01Speaker 1: he was focused, and he was ready to give evidence
- 1:05Speaker 1: later this week. He hasn't given evidence yet. Now there
- 1:09Speaker 1: there was no last minute settlement. To a lot of people,
- 1:11Speaker 1: A lot of British media speculated that Harry's team would
- 1:16Speaker 1: settle this, or maybe even the newspaper would go into trial,
- 1:19Speaker 1: going to court, it's very expensive and you don't know
- 1:23Speaker 1: the outcomes. So often these cases are settled. This case
- 1:27Speaker 1: was not settled. It is now a trial. So early on,
- 1:31Speaker 1: early on, all the real evidence it was wrapped around
- 1:35Speaker 1: a private investigator called Gavin Burrohs. Gavin Burroughs was the
- 1:41Speaker 1: private investigator, and he initially claimed he's the one that
- 1:44Speaker 1: came forward and said on behalf of the tabloid I
- 1:48Speaker 1: bugged cars, I bugged phones, I even bugged private rooms.
- 1:53Speaker 1: That's what sparked Harry's lawsuit until Gavin actually said that
- 1:59Speaker 1: it was hard to connect all adopts a lot of suspicion.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Maybe they were bugging the Prince, maybe they were bugging celebrities,
- 2:06Speaker 1: but they needed to connect them. They needed somebody to say, yes,
- 2:10Speaker 1: they were doing it, and I did it. I placed
- 2:13Speaker 1: bugs on these phones, in these cars, in these private rooms. Well,
- 2:17Speaker 1: Burrohs later recanted that statement, insisting that his testimony and
- 2:23Speaker 1: his signature were false. Well, at the time, I think everybody,
- 2:26Speaker 1: including Harry's people, thought it was over. They couldn't they
- 2:29Speaker 1: couldn't possibly move forward if they didn't have Gavin as
- 2:33Speaker 1: a witness. Well, they did move forward and Harry's barrister,
- 2:37Speaker 1: which is a British term for a lawyer, wasted no
- 2:40Speaker 1: time in dismantling Burrough's credibility. This was a really strong start.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I had reporters in the room at the court. They said,
- 2:49Speaker 1: Harry looks confident. He looks like he's really really in
- 2:53Speaker 1: this to win it. There are no nerves there. He
- 2:56Speaker 1: totally believes he's in the right. I would guess he is,
- 3:00Speaker 1: but we don't know that yet. And so he's not
- 3:04Speaker 1: settling this. It's going to trial. It is on trial
- 3:07Speaker 1: right now, and later this week we're gonna get reports
- 3:11Speaker 1: of him testifying, a prince on the stand testify. And
- 3:16Speaker 1: there are other celebrities involved in this too, including Elton
- 3:19Speaker 1: John and more British stars. And so Harry not backing down.
- 3:24Speaker 2: What do you think it just goes to show. I mean,
- 3:26Speaker 2: we're both journalists. We want to get the best story possible.
- 3:29Speaker 2: But where is that line and when do you cross it?
- 3:33Speaker 2: And I think bugging somebody's home, bugging somebody's car, their house,
- 3:38Speaker 2: that is crossing the line. But can I just stop
- 3:40Speaker 2: for a moment, because I don't know if you've seen
- 3:43Speaker 2: the video of Prince Harry walk it up to what
- 3:46Speaker 2: do you call your law house, your courthouse? But darn
- 3:49Speaker 2: does he look handsome. And I noticed that there were
- 3:52Speaker 2: some men around him who were looking side to side,
- 3:55Speaker 2: So it looks like he does have some bodyguards. Now,
- 3:57Speaker 2: maybe Rob, you're in the know whether those people or
- 4:00Speaker 2: provided by the Royal House, because we have talked about
- 4:03Speaker 2: they said they would do that, or if they were
- 4:05Speaker 2: his own men. But he just he did look very
- 4:08Speaker 2: self assured and very confident and very handsome. I will
- 4:11Speaker 2: give him, I think.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll give it. I think he's got this. If
- 4:14Speaker 1: you've got a witness, a dodgy witness, but if you've
- 4:17Speaker 1: got a private investigator who said I was hired to
- 4:20Speaker 1: bug the prince. Now he has recanted that statement, and
- 4:23Speaker 1: so I did think, oh wow, how can this move
- 4:26Speaker 1: forward with that without that statement, without that real connecting
- 4:30Speaker 1: the dots. But he is and I think, here, Harry
- 4:34Speaker 1: is gonna he's not gonna back down. There was a
- 4:36Speaker 1: lot of talk that maybe this would be settled, they'd
- 4:39Speaker 1: throw some cash at him. He thinks this is bigger
- 4:41Speaker 1: than money. This is not about money. This is about privacy.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And let's be really clear here. This is about his mommy.
- 4:46Speaker 1: This is about taking on the press that he thinks
- 4:49Speaker 1: he still believes killed his mother. This is that personal.
- 4:53Speaker 1: This is not about Megan. This is not about privacy.
- 4:56Speaker 1: This is not about Oh, I don't enjoyed that story
- 4:59Speaker 1: in the newspaper. Nobody enjoys. Celebrities are always moaning about
- 5:03Speaker 1: what we write. But I think today show Misty it's
- 5:06Speaker 1: gonna have a little bit of a theme because it
- 5:09Speaker 1: is about that lion and when he's reporting, no longer reporting,
- 5:13Speaker 1: but being illegal, doing stuff that you should not do.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Bugging someone's phone is illegal. You're not allowed to do it.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I cannot bug your car for right reasons. I shouldn't
- 5:23Speaker 1: be doing it, and if I do, I should be arrested.
- 5:26Speaker 1: And so just because we are reporters, we are not
- 5:28Speaker 1: above the law. I believe everybody is accountable to the law,
- 5:34Speaker 1: and that includes reporters, That includes princes, that includes everybody else,
- 5:39Speaker 1: which brings us to our pole question of the day.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Prince Harry is at court in London. He's not backing down.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Do you think he's gonna win this? Do you think
- 5:47Speaker 1: Harry is gonna win it? Because a really strong start.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I was watching it, I had reporters in the room.
- 5:53Speaker 1: They were surprised. They thought this could go either way,
- 5:56Speaker 1: but now they're like, really leaning towards Harry. Now, we
- 6:00Speaker 1: don't know what the tabloid is going to say yet,
- 6:02Speaker 1: we don't know what the media outlet is going to say.
- 6:05Speaker 1: How they're getting to defend themselves. But at the moment,
- 6:07Speaker 1: I'm leaning towards Harry. What do you think could Harry
- 6:10Speaker 1: win this? Hey? Go vote on a Twitter page at
- 6:13Speaker 1: naughty Nice Rob. A Facebook page is naughty gilsip and
- 6:18Speaker 1: be sure to check that to a mar raud to
- 6:20Speaker 1: hear your results. Hey, mister, let me work it on.
- 6:24Speaker 2: We're gonna have to talk about Don Lemon. Now, we
- 6:26Speaker 2: don't get very political on the show, but he has
- 6:28Speaker 2: gotten himself in a little bit of hot water and
- 6:30Speaker 2: it does have a political slant to it. So he
- 6:33Speaker 2: was caught in the thick of storming a church, Saint
- 6:37Speaker 2: Paul Church in Minneapolis, with what was identified as anti
- 6:41Speaker 2: anti ice activists on Sunday Services. Now he claimed that
- 6:45Speaker 2: he was just reporting the story, but there are videos
- 6:50Speaker 2: that show him talking to them about kind of having
- 6:52Speaker 2: recognissance and being prepared for this for something called Operation
- 6:57Speaker 2: Pull Up. There are a lot of things said. There
- 7:01Speaker 2: were people were expressing their opinion, and we are allowed
- 7:04Speaker 2: to express our opinion, but you're not allowed to go
- 7:06Speaker 2: into a private space. So of course critics and the
- 7:09Speaker 2: DOJ slamm Don for his involvement, though again he later incentive.
- 7:14Speaker 2: He later insisted that he was just there as a reporter,
- 7:20Speaker 2: contradicting his own statements. Dealing with this, where it gets
- 7:24Speaker 2: tricky is that Mickey Minaj actually responded to this. She
- 7:28Speaker 2: actually went on X used a homophobic slur, writing don
- 7:32Speaker 2: c dot dot sucking lemon is disgusting her reaction to
- 7:37Speaker 2: his actions that what he did. So he went on
- 7:40Speaker 2: TMZ Live and he didn't hold back. He told the
- 7:43Speaker 2: rapper to sit the f down and get a life
- 7:46Speaker 2: and grow some brains. Now, Nicki Minaj, obviously we're all
- 7:49Speaker 2: here in this country. We're allowed to have our own
- 7:51Speaker 2: political views. She has spent a lot of time with
- 7:54Speaker 2: a more conservative base, and so he's basically telling people
- 7:59Speaker 2: that she's showing a holephobic and anti black American kind
- 8:03Speaker 2: of perspective and that we should boycott her. It's kind
- 8:06Speaker 2: of complicated. It gets involved in politics. Rob, what do
- 8:09Speaker 2: you think about this whole thing.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It's so frustrating. It's harder and harder to stay away
- 8:16Speaker 1: from politics these days, and as a show we desperately
- 8:19Speaker 1: try to do this. We know that you come here
- 8:21Speaker 1: to laugh and giggle for twenty minutes, but this is
- 8:24Speaker 1: the story of the day. What is so frustrating to
- 8:26Speaker 1: me here is that Don is probably the wrong messenger
- 8:29Speaker 1: for this. Should there be reporters following all this, Absolutely, yes,
- 8:33Speaker 1: they should be on the ground. They should be there.
- 8:35Speaker 1: We've got to tell the stories of America what's happening,
- 8:38Speaker 1: even if the stories are really ugly. This is a
- 8:41Speaker 1: particularly ugly time, and so I think having reporters there
- 8:45Speaker 1: is amazing. I know reporters who are there, real real reporters,
- 8:50Speaker 1: and I tip my hat to them. It is a
- 8:52Speaker 1: war zone and they are there reporting on this stuff
- 8:56Speaker 1: going off. There's gunshots, there's tear gas, and they're standing
- 9:01Speaker 1: there with their cameras, letting the whole world know. They're
- 9:04Speaker 1: documenting history. And I think many many years from now,
- 9:06Speaker 1: when we see this footage, we might have a very
- 9:09Speaker 1: very different opinion about all of this. And what a
- 9:13Speaker 1: moment we're all in. Done's not that person. Done's a
- 9:16Speaker 1: terrible habit, and I love Done. I spoke to him
- 9:18Speaker 1: actually on Friday, and so Done as a habit of
- 9:22Speaker 1: making himself the story. It's always about Done. It's not
- 9:26Speaker 1: about the news. It's about him and his thoughts about
- 9:30Speaker 1: the news. Now we could argue that's not his fault
- 9:33Speaker 1: because of opinion television, because of the Fox News and
- 9:36Speaker 1: the MSNBC's primetimes and even CNN. Now everybody has to
- 9:39Speaker 1: have an opinion. Nobody can be neutral anymore. If you're neutral,
- 9:43Speaker 1: nobody watches. So I understand why Don is leaning into this.
- 9:46Speaker 1: He's started up his new business, he's no longer at CNN,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and to get people to subscribe to his YouTube, to
- 9:52Speaker 1: get people to watch his TikTok, you have to say,
- 9:55Speaker 1: or we think we have to say crazy stuff. I
- 9:57Speaker 1: struggle with busmastique, just on a celebrity level. It would
- 10:00Speaker 1: be so much easier for me to build a massive
- 10:02Speaker 1: following if I was as loose as Perez Hilton, if
- 10:06Speaker 1: I said hateful stuff about people, if I called them names,
- 10:09Speaker 1: if I mocked their weight, if I mocked the way
- 10:11Speaker 1: they look. I won't do it, And so I'm happy
- 10:14Speaker 1: with the small It's not us. I'm happy with a
- 10:17Speaker 1: smaller piece of the pie and have my dignity than
- 10:21Speaker 1: making a fool of myself and Don we've known each
- 10:24Speaker 1: other a really long time. I think that the story
- 10:27Speaker 1: you're trying to tell is a very important story. The
- 10:30Speaker 1: way that you've asserted yourself into it made this is
- 10:34Speaker 1: all about you. We're not talking about what's going on
- 10:37Speaker 1: in the streets today. We're not talking about that, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: that's what we should be talking about, not on this podcast,
- 10:42Speaker 1: but on different shows. On those different shows, all they're
- 10:45Speaker 1: talking about is Don Lemon today, and I think that
- 10:48Speaker 1: is a real, real shame. Nicki Minaj and Don Lemon,
- 10:52Speaker 1: though this isn't going to go anywhere. I think they
- 10:53Speaker 1: both like attention. They've both figured out this is the
- 10:56Speaker 1: Bethany Frankel school, isn't it. If you attack another celeb,
- 11:00Speaker 1: then you get more press if you find somebody and
- 11:02Speaker 1: attack them. It's like when Bethanie attacks the Kardashians or
- 11:06Speaker 1: Andy Cohen, she gets herself attention. So I fear here
- 11:10Speaker 1: we're rewarding people for bad behavior wi going.
- 11:12Speaker 2: In this case, it's on politics and their lives on
- 11:15Speaker 2: the line. I just don't think this is a place
- 11:18Speaker 2: to play your opinion journalism. If you're going to be
- 11:21Speaker 2: there on the outside and you're documenting it, like you said,
- 11:24Speaker 2: that's fine, and we both know there is a fine
- 11:27Speaker 2: line between being a journalist and being just a human being,
- 11:30Speaker 2: and you are allowed to express your rights. But when
- 11:33Speaker 2: it's kind of like this and you're contradicting yourself, you're
- 11:36Speaker 2: just putting yourself in a place of hot water. It's
- 11:39Speaker 2: not something I do, it's not something you do that
- 11:41Speaker 2: we've had. We've had moments where we could, but we
- 11:45Speaker 2: use that's not the way we approach.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Step away, step away. There's no there's no number of
- 11:49Speaker 1: Twitter followers or people on x that's that's worth this time.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Step wait to take yourself out of the story. Okay,
- 11:56Speaker 1: moving along. Another person that's become part of the story
- 11:59Speaker 1: is Kelly Clarkson. The reports that her talks shut talk
- 12:03Speaker 1: like you get this right, her talk show there you Go,
- 12:06Speaker 1: Her talk show is gonna end after this season. She's
- 12:10Speaker 1: only yonder contract for this year. So Page six was
- 12:13Speaker 1: saying it's unsustainable in today's landscape. That's a really important
- 12:16Speaker 1: point they're making because her show is very expensive. She
- 12:20Speaker 1: is still from those talk shows of ten years ago.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Where they were millions of dollars massive. The Allen Show
- 12:28Speaker 1: was a really big, expensive show. Those days are gone.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Now it's me and me and Miss d and maybe
- 12:34Speaker 1: Donnie on a TikTok. That's what they want, really cheap content.
- 12:39Speaker 1: When you look at the morning shows, Oh, miss de
- 12:41Speaker 1: when we used to be guests on the morning shows, Yeah,
- 12:43Speaker 1: get cars and hair and makeup and producers and technicians
- 12:46Speaker 1: and sound people and lunch and all gone. Now you
- 12:49Speaker 1: get yourself there on a subway or on the bus
- 12:52Speaker 1: or on an uber, and you do your own hair
- 12:55Speaker 1: and makeup and you leave. The days are gone. The
- 12:57Speaker 1: glory days of TV have gone. I've been to the
- 13:00Speaker 1: and Show. It's glorious. It feels like you're stepping back
- 13:03Speaker 1: into the eighties. The amount of money they spend, it's
- 13:06Speaker 1: just not sustainable. So what my sources are telling me
- 13:09Speaker 1: is that Kelly actually does not want this show to
- 13:11Speaker 1: go away. There was a moment there where she missed
- 13:13Speaker 1: missed a lot of shows. Now we know it is
- 13:15Speaker 1: because her husband ex husband, was very, very very sick.
- 13:18Speaker 1: He has unfortunately since passed away. Kelly has really really
- 13:23Speaker 1: focused on this show. She loves it. It pays her
- 13:25Speaker 1: a lot of money. It's not as much work as
- 13:28Speaker 1: going on tour. She can do her music and she
- 13:31Speaker 1: can still pay her bills. Who's going to want to
- 13:33Speaker 1: walk away from that? Not Kelly. So I'm told that
- 13:36Speaker 1: internally there's lots of discussions about reinventing the show. How
- 13:39Speaker 1: do they make it more like Watch what Happens live
- 13:43Speaker 1: in a closet, Just a tiny little studio with two cameras,
- 13:47Speaker 1: not ten, just two or three cameras, less taped packages,
- 13:51Speaker 1: just people coming in and sitting around a table having
- 13:53Speaker 1: a chit chat. They want to keep it really cheap,
- 13:56Speaker 1: like the View. The Views a relatively cheap show, and
- 13:59Speaker 1: so I think we're going to see some changes there,
- 14:01Speaker 1: but Kelly has not given up yet. On her show. Okay, quickly,
- 14:05Speaker 1: before we go to break, Mickey Rock is blasting his
- 14:10Speaker 1: employees for setting up a gofund me scams mysty. He's
- 14:13Speaker 1: furious after a female employee allegedly set up a gofund
- 14:17Speaker 1: me paige with his name on it, so it raised
- 14:20Speaker 1: the banner one hundred thousand and then he said stop it.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He said, I'd rather stick a gun up my bottom.
- 14:26Speaker 1: He didn't use that word. Then pull the trigger and
- 14:30Speaker 1: ask somebody else for a dollar. So he's very very
- 14:32Speaker 1: proud this go fund me. It seemed weird. He looks
- 14:35Speaker 1: like he's struggling financially, and then the go fund me
- 14:38Speaker 1: set up and I think a lot of people gave money.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And now he's saying, I just didn't set this up. Oh,
- 14:43Speaker 1: these go funds mes are so tricky, Misty. I think
- 14:46Speaker 1: Mickey should take the money, like these are your fans.
- 14:48Speaker 1: People want to I don't really want to donate. They
- 14:52Speaker 1: want they want to look after you. They want to
- 14:53Speaker 1: look after your dog. He recently had heart surgery. They
- 14:57Speaker 1: want to look after you. But I also get being
- 14:59Speaker 1: proud and he doesn't want to take a handout. Complicated, complicated,
- 15:04Speaker 1: but he's trying to figure out a way to give
- 15:06Speaker 1: back the money. Okay, we're going to take a quick
- 15:08Speaker 1: break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
- 15:12Speaker 1: the Naughty but Nice Shamy heystom shooto with our friend
- 15:14Speaker 1: misteve Hey Misstery. Let's get to the polls nature we
- 15:19Speaker 1: talked about. Keith Urban has shocked up with his much
- 15:22Speaker 1: younger country girlfriend after breaking up with Nicole. Are your
- 15:25Speaker 1: team Keith or are your team Nicole? Ninety six percent.
- 15:30Speaker 1: That's pretty high, Team Nicole, I'm with you, Hey, don't
- 15:35Speaker 1: forget to vote on today's pole. Will go to our
- 15:38Speaker 1: Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page is
- 15:41Speaker 1: Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back to Murrow
- 15:44Speaker 1: to hear your results. It is worth pointing out before
- 15:46Speaker 1: you do the nicest of the day that the younger girlfriend,
- 15:49Speaker 1: who we've not named, but she was named I think
- 15:51Speaker 1: in the Daily Mail, has since responded. She didn't exactly
- 15:55Speaker 1: say it wasn't true. She just said ridiculous, this is ridiculous. Okay,
- 16:00Speaker 1: let's do nice nice off the day.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Well, her nicest of the day is Jennifer Lopez because
- 16:08Speaker 2: she wasn't rude at the Golden Globe's Red carpet when
- 16:11Speaker 2: she came up to the Glambot. So the Glampot director,
- 16:14Speaker 2: Cole Wallazer has just shut down that she was considered
- 16:18Speaker 2: rude because her back was turned to him and didn't
- 16:21Speaker 2: seem to communicate with him, and he basically said she
- 16:24Speaker 2: was down to business because the carpet was closing, and guys,
- 16:27Speaker 2: I was there, so I can tell you. The stars
- 16:31Speaker 2: show up about three forty five or four forty five.
- 16:34Speaker 2: The show starts at five o'clock, there's a guy screaming,
- 16:37Speaker 2: you need to get to your seats because it's a
- 16:39Speaker 2: live show and we're gonna be making jokes about you.
- 16:42Speaker 2: So all the stars, Leonardo Dicapio, George, George Clooney, probably
- 16:48Speaker 2: George Lopez too, Julia Roberts, they literally are just racing
- 16:52Speaker 2: down the carpet. They're not doing interviews with anyone, not us,
- 16:56Speaker 2: not me, not me. So if Jennifer Lopez even stopped
- 17:00Speaker 2: to do the gland bart, that's important because they're getting
- 17:02Speaker 2: screened at to get into that. To that y, it's
- 17:06Speaker 2: such a funny did she posed? She did what she
- 17:11Speaker 2: was supposed to do, and she kept it moving. So
- 17:14Speaker 2: I sat in the time. It is crazy, guys, celebrities
- 17:18Speaker 2: arrive a little bit earlier, you know, forty five minutes,
- 17:22Speaker 2: not fifteen minutes before.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Get there early. I think Jennifer's on business too. She's
- 17:27Speaker 1: all business. She's not that warm, fuzzy hello, let's sit
- 17:30Speaker 1: down and have a conversation type of person. When she's working.
- 17:33Speaker 1: She is working, and that night she was working and
- 17:36Speaker 1: nicest of the day. Now I know she's the day
- 17:38Speaker 1: and not she's the day. Is Rihanna's bodyguard. There is
