- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluga.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much for being here.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: On Thursday, leading up to Jaguars and bills in the wild card round.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are one and a half point home underdogs against the Buffalo Bills.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville, Everbank Stadium, 1PM, Sunday, wild card round, very exciting stuff.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's a buzz in the air, play off football, returning to Jacksonville.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Murray's hanging out on the shoulder here again today.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: She's she's not having it.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: She's taking a little see us to here.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she'll say hi at some point in the video, but The Jack Wars hosting the bills, you know, they're playing the disrespect card in that locker room.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about that.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about the quarterbacks and all that good stuff.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Wanted to talk a little bit about a couple of areas of this game.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: beyond the quarterbacks, which ultimately I think of Trevor Lawrence plays the way he has played the last two months.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars will win because I think that they have just more of an unstoppable offensive unit and then they have a more turnover, you know, a defense that forces more turnovers.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think if they get rolling, they're going to be really difficult to stop and they're going to be able to disrupt Josh Allen and company.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think that that's like the biggest thing, is just Trevor Lawrence's play, I do.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: But there are some other critical elements to this matchup that I do kind of find fascinating.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: And one of them could be a negative for the Jack Wars, it could be a positive.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the second one we'll talk about is absolutely on paper a huge positive for the Jag Wars.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: So a couple of things here that we'll look at really appreciate y'all tuning in.

- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely unbelievable.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: So cool.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: I love being able to do what I do and y'all are the ones that make that possible.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you so much.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the biggest thing here that I want to talk about from me.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is the most interesting schematic thing in this specific matchup, and it's the fact that the bills run heavy personnel about 29% of the time, and the Jaguars have struggled at times with heavy personnel.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: So heavy personnel, you've got 12, 13, 22, and you know, 6 plus offens of women.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: So, they do a fair amount of 12 personnel, which is two tight ends.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: They do some 13 personnel, which is three tight ends.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: They also do some 22, which is two tight ends to running backs, and they also do a tad bit of six plus offensive linemen out there.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: When you talk about getting into heavy personnel, it's always interesting how does that impact the defense, how does that impact the defense's personnel deployment?
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Generally, when you get into heavy personnel, you're trying to dictate to the defense that they're going to bring out bigger personnel themselves.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Three linebackers, whatever it may be.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: And the jag wars, they struggled with some multiple tight insets and bigger sets, heavier packages,
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: against DC Hawks and the Rams, you've seen some other teams try to deploy that a little bit more against the Jaguars since then as well to lesser effect, but the Jags did struggle with that against those teams and the bills know that, Sean McDermott and Joe Brady and everybody over there, they know that, they know that's something they lean into naturally, and that it's something the Jaguars have shown at times they struggle with.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they've done a much better job lately dealing with it when teams have tried to do it.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the bills are going to lean heavy into it and the Jaguars and
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: just they struggle with tight ends I mean that is true that tight ends have scored a lot of touchdowns against them have picked up a lot of yards against them they played some really good tight ends but they're going to be playing some really good tight ends in this game right um Dalton can Kate is a great receiving tight end he's a really impactful player but he's dealt with the injury this year and missed some time and he limited and practiced and all these sorts of things but
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's the type of guy that can absolutely cause the Jaguar some issues from receiving standpoint.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think Dawson Knox is a very balanced tie-dend and he can do some things as well.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: And then Jackson Haas is a rookie, but he's a great blocking tie-dend.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: So that, that right there, kind of the chess match between, okay, if we get into these big personal sets, how to how to the Jaguar's respond.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the time lately, they haven't been doing the three linebackers as much and they've been doing kind of having a safety play a lineback roll.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: You kind of think, well, that puts them at a disadvantage if the bills are just trying to pound the rock.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: If teams are just trying to pound the rock at you, but if you have a safety who can drop down and play the run, but also give you an advantage and coverage like Antonio Johnson.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's interesting.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: That makes it a kind of fun back and forth between these two teams.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I expect the bills to come out and look to to really try to try to be the aggressors with that heavy person, all packages and do it more than like I said, they do it about 29% of the time.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: I would expect that number to be higher, especially earlier in this game, try to do try to dictate that and see how the Jack Wars respond.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jack Wars respond well,
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Then they're going to have to go back into what they do the most, which is 11 personnel.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: They are still even with the almost 30% of heavy personnel, almost all of what they do beyond that is 11.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: They do a little bit of one tied into running back sets as well.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: Something to keep an eye on, just that chess match between Joe Brady and Anthony Campanylee.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Camp has been a fantastic
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: defensive coordinator.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's done a great job adjusting in game a lot of times.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: One more thing with the bills and this isn't like a bills specific thing but something that I worry about with the Jaguars because you've seen them get beat this way.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: If the bills come and Josh Allen talked about it a little bit just like getting the ball out quicker and taking what's there some.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: play off coverage, which they're going to, but if they're too off and they're not aggressive enough, and they give the bills the opportunity to dash on the opportunity to just get the ball out quick.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: That could be problematic.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Take you back to the game against the Texans.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Davis Mills was just getting the ball out so quickly, basically on every drop-back.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: It was like two seconds, two seconds, two seconds, get the ball out.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: when he knows where he's going with football and you're in the ball at that quickly, you can't get past or if you can't get pressure, you're playing off and they're just kind of knife-in-you-to-death, like these little cuts, right?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: Death by a thousand paper cuts.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: There's Murray, she's not trying to say hi.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: So that's another thing I'm watching for like if Josh Allen just goes into this hyper-efficient mode, which he has the ability to do That could that could spell problems now Again, the bills their best receivers really are In my opinion Dalton can cave James Cook out of the backfield Khalil Shakir you can get those guys going in the quick game and the Jaguar thing to be ready for that as well
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the two things can't drill and needs to be prepared for.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the builds have a great running game.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Number one, rushing off in some football, Jaguar's number one, rushing defense.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about the blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Josh Allen is a free kick and make unbelievable plays.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's an alien, 39 touchdowns this year, but guess what?
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor 1, 38 touchdowns this year.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we've talked a lot about the Jags, what they do well, what they can do in this game.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that if Trevor Lawrence plays the way that he's been playing, that they're going to win the game, and I'm picking the Jaguars to win the game, because I just don't think anybody can stop this offense the way they can operate through the passing game right now, even if you kind of are in a good situation coverage wise, which is difficult to do with all the different receiving archetypes that the Jaguars have in the way that Liam Cohen can dial it up.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: the interval one is going to take off and run with it.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: So it's really difficult to stop this offense right now and they're operating at a more consistent clip than the bills are right now.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way it is.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's best teams.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think, having Cam Little, who, by the way, you know, shout out to Trevor Lawrence, who won, often supplier the month, Cam Little won, special teams player the month.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: First time ever, I believe that Jack Wars have had two players in one month, win player of the month, really cool stuff right there.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: So shout out to those guys.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: But Cam Little, Logan Cook, covered units, return game, I think that Jack Wars can have an advantage there.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: The bills are dealing with injuries that the kicker spot could be Matthew Wright, Matt Prater and not practicing that they've got a sticky situation there.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think that
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Special teams could have a massive impact.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't seen one of those big Parker Washington punter turns lately I think you might see something on special teams here that is ended ends up being very special for the Jaguar So those are just some areas of the game.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna be looking at keenly and I just wanted to talk about the special teams because it doesn't get talked about enough just
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: When you watch Game Previews, I didn't really talk about Seventeen's too much earlier, but when you watch Game Previews, when people are talking about these football games, special teams gets glossed over a lot, it shouldn't, it's a big deal, it's important, especially when you have the type of special teamers that the Jaguars have, and you have Heath Farwell, you know, came down here from Buffalo, they let him go, and he's been great for the Jaguars, so I'm excited to see that part of it.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Nervous slash excited to see how the Jaguar's handled the heavy personnel, I think the bills are going to really try to lean into it early and if they don't, that would be really kind of shocking, puzzling, I think that they should.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: Just test the Jaguar, see if they can handle it.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think they should also go quick game a lot.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that, you know, in the passing game, and then I think special teams will ask the jacks who'd have a big advantage there.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: You all have a good one.
