- 0:00I was at a bar the other day and I was sitting next to two guys that were they just out of it
- 0:22seemingly came out of nowhere the bartender they asked her how many times have you line
- 0:29dance to cotton-eyed joe in your life do you think i thought that was such a weird question
- 0:34and like in my head i'm like wouldn't the answer to this question for most people be zero zero times
- 0:39not me um really yeah when i used to do those childhood country music contests yeah that song
- 0:46was always going they played it every night and people always got up and danced and i did too
- 0:50wow okay i guess then i'm in the minority because she was she was like oh i don't know
- 0:54she's from like Texas or something and they're like more than 10 she's like yeah definitely
- 0:59and they're like more than 20 and she's like probably more than 20 yeah yeah I just thought
- 1:05that was that is interesting from someone with no country background yeah it doesn't seem like
- 1:10a country song to me but I mean it is right it it feels like I guess it technically is it feels
- 1:17like it's a hold on piece.
- 1:20I don't know. It feels like
- 1:21a joke song.
- 1:24Yeah,
- 1:25it does. It's kind of like Red Robin.
- 1:27You believe that was on the radio was like a real song.
- 1:29He rocks in the treetops all
- 1:31day long.
- 1:34Rock it.
- 1:35Wait, rocks in the treetops
- 1:37all day long.
- 1:38Rocking and rolling and singing this song.
- 1:41Rocking Robin. Yeah. Tweet.
- 1:42Tweedly deed. You would have lost me on that as a singer.
- 1:45I'm like, nope, can't do it.
- 1:47yeah but then but as a result you would say that that is no longer defined by a genre right right
- 1:54it's not like you think of that as like do-wop or like old-timey like rock and roll or anything
- 2:00100 it's its own stupid thing it's it's yeah that's how i feel about cotton-eyed joe do
- 2:08you're saying you didn't play this at your wedding no i did not no no swing and a miss
- 2:16Apparently.
- 2:17Apparently everyone else would have had a very choreographed dance to hop up and start
- 2:21doing.
- 2:21You deprived dozens of people the chance to line dance to that song one more time.
- 2:26Okay.
- 2:27Well, I'm having a party.
- 2:28Maybe I'll just have that on repeat and see how many people line dance.
- 2:31Play it at the beginning and then like as your opener and then your closing song.
- 2:35Oh, good.
- 2:35I want the party to have an opener till every way till everyone gets there.
- 2:41No, you don't start.
- 2:43We're not starting.
- 2:44No sips.
- 2:44No sips.
- 2:45and now yeah that would be fun yeah welcome to very fine friends oh hi hi i know i didn't say
- 2:58the tagline no i i then i panicked i thought you were wanting me to say something so here i am hi
- 3:02hi speaking words i know hello you want to hear something that was mildly annoying the other day
- 3:08Please, God, tell me.
- 3:11I was taking a Waymo on my way to a bar slash theater.
- 3:18A lot of bar stories.
- 3:21And I get in the Waymo, and it starts to drive,
- 3:23and then there's this ringing noise, like an alert-type noise.
- 3:27And at first I thought it was coming from the car,
- 3:29because it just didn't stop.
- 3:31And then I'm like, I think it's a phone,
- 3:34and I find underneath the fake driver's side seat,
- 3:38I think the seat's real.
- 3:40The driver's fake.
- 3:42Under the joke seat.
- 3:45The figurehead seat.
- 3:48There's a phone and it's doing like the lost my iPhone like alert thing.
- 3:54And I just kind of like hit the button on the side and it stopped.
- 3:58And then it just like a minute later started doing it again and it kept doing it.
- 4:01And I was like, this is really annoying.
- 4:03um and then all of a sudden there's a like facetime call coming through
- 4:09from someone named k money according to the phone
- 4:13uh and it's this young kid like young like teens late teens maybe early 20s
- 4:22please tell me you answered i did what up say money
- 4:25i did not do that no i was trying money you're on with jay dog i was trying to avoid
- 4:32showing my face oh and like you because it looks like you stole the phone kind of
- 4:36well or just whatever like i just didn't want i just didn't want
- 4:40k money or his proxies knowing what i looked like um
- 4:45anyway hell no
- 4:49so i i answer and he's like oh you have my phone thank you thank you so much
- 4:55and i was uh i said yeah sorry i'm in a waymo right he's like like he's like what can i can
- 5:02can you Uber it to me?
- 5:03And I was like,
- 5:04no,
- 5:04I'm not doing that.
- 5:05I'm not calling an Uber and paying for it to send it to you.
- 5:08Yeah.
- 5:08This sounds like someone who's in their late teens,
- 5:10early twenties.
- 5:11Yeah.
- 5:11And I could hear his like idiot friends in the background.
- 5:14They were all being like loud and stupid.
- 5:16Um,
- 5:17and so I,
- 5:19I should have just not,
- 5:21not answered it.
- 5:21I just did not like the idea of being in a car with this thing ringing for 40
- 5:25minutes and out the window.
- 5:28Yeah.
- 5:29Yeah.
- 5:30Find it now,
- 5:30bitch.
- 5:32I was like, I'm in a Waymo. Like, so I, I was like, look, here's where I'm going. If you want
- 5:38to pick it up from here, you can, but that's like the most that I'm doing with it. And he was like,
- 5:42okay, like, I'll be right there. I'm on my way. And then it's like, so I'm waiting for this guy.
- 5:48And it's like, all right. Like every few minutes I go back from the theater to the front bar,
- 5:52like Dr. Bart, like, no, nothing yet. No, nobody yet. And eventually I just gave it to the bartender
- 6:00And I was like, can you just give it to him if he shows up?
- 6:04I'm done waiting for this.
- 6:05But it was very annoying.
- 6:07Can I hear the exact tone you used when he asked if you could Uber it?
- 6:10And you said no.
- 6:12Here, I'll be K-Money.
- 6:13Is there any chance you could Uber this to where I am?
- 6:17No.
- 6:17Sorry.
- 6:20Perfect.
- 6:21Yeah.
- 6:22Just like, what a ridiculous question.
- 6:24Yeah.
- 6:25Did you pause at all?
- 6:25Did I think about it?
- 6:27I paused, I think, at the ridiculousness of the suggestion.
- 6:29yeah how much heat should i give back to this question you know yeah it's like no no you're
- 6:37the idiot you fucked up you figure out a way to get your phone back here's where there's a there's
- 6:42got to be a button on the way map it's like i forgot my phone in the car yeah and and it looked
- 6:49it up later the what you're supposed to do if that happens is you like if you find something in the car
- 6:54you call support you describe it to them and then you it says but don't take it out of the car like
- 7:00leave it in the car and then it said if you lost something in the car there's a depot
- 7:05that you can go pick it up from between like 6 a.m and 6 p.m that's a lot that's a wide berth
- 7:15of hours it is but if you're like this dude and you have it's your phone so he couldn't do it on
- 7:23the app because he didn't have his phone.
- 7:25That's why we can't get rid of computers.
- 7:26Gotta have both.
- 7:28You know,
- 7:28exactly.
- 7:29You don't got an iPad.
- 7:31You get you mad.
- 7:33This was really just an advertisement to get K monies and his friends to
- 7:39invest in computers.
- 7:41Invest.
- 7:42Yeah.
- 7:42I'm telling you,
- 7:43these things are going to be huge.
- 7:46Get in the ground floor.
- 7:47Trust me on this one.
- 7:50Yeah.
- 7:50So anyway,
- 7:52it was just very annoying.
- 7:53And then me realizing, why did I get involved?
- 7:57I should not have gotten involved.
- 7:58We ask ourselves, why are you involved?
- 8:00At least I was happy that it's like, all right,
- 8:03if I have possession of this thing,
- 8:04I gave it away to somebody else in a public place.
- 8:08As far as I know, it worked,
- 8:11and he did eventually come get the phone.
- 8:12I don't know, because it wasn't there the next day
- 8:14when I went to the theater.
- 8:17There you go.
- 8:18That was bewitching.
- 8:19Thank you.
- 8:20It wasn't really that bewitching.
- 8:21It was just a mildly annoying story that I was going to tell you anyway,
- 8:26so I thought I might as well mildly entertain our listeners, too.
- 8:30That's what we strive for here on the podcast.
- 8:33Mild entertainment.
- 8:34Well, if they're too hard in driving, we can be liable.
- 8:37That's true.
- 8:37I know.
- 8:39We don't have insurance for that.
- 8:41Our insurance doesn't cover that.
- 8:43Welcome to Very Fine Friends, the comatose podcast.
- 8:46Yeah, K Money's friends that you were listening to in the background
- 8:48were actually all laughing at our bonus improv episodes.
- 8:51Oh, that makes sense.
- 8:53Yeah.
- 8:53Yeah.
- 8:54K-Money is actually pretty cool.
- 8:55K-Money and your proxies, if you're listening, and I know you are, you're welcome.
- 9:00Cut it out.
- 9:04You are consistently a problem for me.
- 9:08Quick interruption.
- 9:09Every week on the podcast, we do something where our producer, Joe, gives Francis and I each our own secret word.
- 9:19throughout the course of the podcast, we need to find a way to slip the secret word into our
- 9:25conversation without the other person noticing. If the other person can correctly guess the secret
- 9:30word, they get a point. And right before we die, we add up all the points. And then we get a prize,
- 9:39whoever has the most points for guessing the most secret words. Here's Joe with today's secret words.
- 9:46Jenna's secret word is seamstress
- 9:48Jenna's decoy word is kneecaps
- 9:50Francis' secret word is workable
- 9:52Francis' decoy word is pyramid
- 9:55Back to the pod
- 9:57Someone invented computers, which was great
- 10:00And we're glad that they did
- 10:01Where are you going with this?
- 10:04I think it's time for another invention
- 10:06The invention of the week
- 10:08Inventions
- 10:12Hi Jenna
- 10:15oh hey francis i have a i have a twofer oh yeah this is great this is great okay like two inventions
- 10:26or an invention that does two things no okay two inventions they go in a pack okay great
- 10:32you're getting a real treat today listeners listen don't don't don't ever let it be said
- 10:38that i was a money hungry fool okay i'm here for to give you value yep okay here it is
- 10:45here's coming it's coming right now okay you know some people work from home i do know that
- 10:51you know how sometimes people have hair that need to be combed i do know that you know sometimes
- 10:57your your boss wants you on a call with the camera on i do know that do you know how that's a total
- 11:04waste of clothes i do know that yeah why waste clothes you could be sitting there naked working
- 11:10if not for that pesky camera yes you get it she gets it jenna joe whoa
- 11:17here's what's happening in my head here's my new invention okay okay it's gonna blow your minds off
- 11:23the first part of my invention
- 11:27is a helmet that you put on this is before you start your shift just stop you're laughing
- 11:35no listen it's real it's a helmet you put on that has a two little let's call it legs that
- 11:43perch onto your shoulders and then it so because it's not like a helmet that's like hugging your
- 11:49head hard it's you purchase on your shoulders and then it um senses
- 11:58your head and hair
- 12:03and combs it.
- 12:05It knows where to comb.
- 12:10It has a little water compartment
- 12:12so you can add water.
- 12:14Because you know sometimes in the morning when you wake up
- 12:16and you could comb your hair a hundred times, it's still going to be crazy.
- 12:18Add a little water. The whole situation's changed.
- 12:21Like an iron.
- 12:23How irons have water in them for the steam function.
- 12:26So does the water come out from between the little legs?
- 12:28no the legs are on your shoulder
- 12:30okay
- 12:33anyway so your hair could be getting combed while you're making your coffee
- 12:40and you don't have to worry about how you look because you're home so yes it's going to be silly
- 12:45looking i'm sure super useful this part one okay okay the hair comber and wetter okay
- 12:51picture this you want to put on a whole shirt no you don't
- 12:57introducing for the first time in human history
- 13:01a shirt that only goes down to the nipples
- 13:04and covers your arms and has a collar
- 13:08and the rest of you is naked.
- 13:13All you have to do is make sure your camera's positioned
- 13:15above the nipple line.
- 13:20And since they're so small,
- 13:22you can get a three-pack for the price of one regular shirt.
- 13:27Okay. All right.
- 13:33So a helmet that combs your hair and basically a dickie with sleeves.
- 13:41What? A dickie. It's like a false front shirt.
- 13:45This has been done?
- 13:46For wearing under a sweater.
- 13:48For wearing under a sweater so it looks like you have a collared shirt on underneath.
- 13:51or like in Christmas Vacation, the movie,
- 13:55he famously wears a black fake turtleneck dickie
- 13:59under a white sweater so you can see the outline of the dickie.
- 14:02But he doesn't have sleeves.
- 14:05No, this is a work shirt.
- 14:07It's a real work shirt.
- 14:09If you didn't know any better,
- 14:10you'd say that all we were doing is buying real shirts
- 14:13and cutting off three quarters of them.
- 14:16Okay.
- 14:17All right, let's start with the combing.
- 14:20Yeah.
- 14:21quick question for you okay how much time do you spend combing your hair every day
- 14:29counter question doesn't it always feel better when someone else does it
- 14:34yes it does yeah it it does feel good when like have you ever had one of the like you know those
- 14:41like claw things yeah that go on the head no man yeah that is a miser hands yes like miser hands
- 14:48thank you we just got those back in stock by the way
- 14:52bye bye bye
- 14:5335friends.com
- 14:55but they're probably out of stock by the time this episode
- 14:57yeah be fast
- 14:58be fast or be last
- 15:00yeah that was pretty good
- 15:03but yeah so it feels good when someone else does it's not about time
- 15:05it's about convenience
- 15:06I could be combing my hair and then going to the kitchen
- 15:10or it could be in the kitchen combing my hair
- 15:12you either get it or you don't
- 15:16I can't sell you on the concept
- 15:18I can only put it in front of you.
- 15:19Okay.
- 15:21All right.
- 15:22The companion.
- 15:25That's not bad.
- 15:26I was thinking payload perch,
- 15:28but that's not bad.
- 15:30Payloads hair in Spanish and birds perch.
- 15:36But what he said was better hair helper hair helper.
- 15:41Who's that's nice.
- 15:43Although it does make me think of hamburger helper.
- 15:46well you gotta eat breakfast too yeah we could have a partnership i got my hair helper and my
- 15:54hamburger helper i'm a happy mom yeah um okay something with strand follicle diabolical follicle
- 16:02that could be like memorable you know
- 16:06um morning muff
- 16:09I'm interested in this Dickies thing you mentioned
- 16:18because I definitely don't want to be accused of stealing someone else's idea
- 16:22I can't reiterate enough that this is a real shirt
- 16:25it's realer than more Dickies
- 16:29can you do something with that?
- 16:34love it, that's all I can do with it
- 16:36love that you said it
- 16:39Um, yeah.
- 16:42I, okay.
- 16:43Here's my question.
- 16:45Why not just wear a shirt?
- 16:52A shirt?
- 16:54Why not wear a whole shirt?
- 16:57Why not wear one?
- 16:58Yeah Some people just love their oppression It doesn feel good to be in clothes
- 17:08You're at home.
- 17:09You want to be as nude as possible.
- 17:12So you're fully naked.
- 17:14Dress shirt.
- 17:17Just on the shoulders.
- 17:19Fully naked below that.
- 17:22Yeah.
- 17:22Yeah.
- 17:24And unashamed.
- 17:25pre-snake shame.
- 17:30Okay, so the benefit of
- 17:32this is that
- 17:34you look presentable on camera
- 17:36and no one knows you're naked from the nipples down.
- 17:39Yeah.
- 17:40And
- 17:41and you pay less
- 17:46for the shirt?
- 17:48Yeah.
- 17:49Because it's less material.
- 17:51You're paying, for the price of one shirt,
- 17:52you're getting three different colors.
- 17:55I also like that you think that everyone is putting on shirts for their meetings
- 18:00and then immediately throwing them in the wash
- 18:02and being naked in their house for the rest of the day
- 18:04maybe not in the wash but on a chair
- 18:06or on a brother's printer next to their computer setup
- 18:09that's very specific
- 18:15I read a lot of books
- 18:17a lot of fine literature
- 18:20what happens if you adjust a little
- 18:23And like, or like, you need to stand up real quick for something.
- 18:26And then everyone's like, Oh, my stars cannot do that.
- 18:36In fact, there's a QR code on the package when you get it that you need to scan.
- 18:40It goes to a video and the video opens.
- 18:42It says, if you value your job, you need to watch this video.
- 18:47You cannot move once you have this shirt on.
- 18:50Do not forget.
- 18:51And there's a little sticker of a nipple that you put on your monitor so that
- 18:55it just keeps it in your mind.
- 18:59We're not taking the fall for this.
- 19:01You want the luxury and convenience of this breezy, breezy shirt.
- 19:04Luxury.
- 19:07Uh,
- 19:08we,
- 19:11um,
- 19:13what was it that we,
- 19:14we could give them,
- 19:16we can combine this with another one of our products,
- 19:18the fake nipples that we sold for pranks.
- 19:21stop yeah except you have to go sideways with them i guess i'm finding that that's been our
- 19:28most versatile invention that it's come up the most as like oh we could do this like we could
- 19:34work with the knot pulls with this it's come up like every episode in the past five episodes i
- 19:40feel like oh my god i just speaking of not pulls speaking of i was trying to find the name that's
- 19:47Beyond the breast.
- 19:49Did you say not pulse?
- 19:50I'm sorry.
- 19:51No.
- 19:51Yeah.
- 19:52Okay.
- 19:53Thank you,
- 19:53Francis.
- 19:53Yeah.
- 19:55I was just thinking,
- 19:56I don't know if this would work,
- 19:56but what if one of our novels,
- 19:58Mr.
- 19:58Potato Head,
- 19:59like conducted electricity.
- 20:01So if someone needed to jumpstart their car,
- 20:04they could just be like,
- 20:08what?
- 20:08Like passersby would be like,
- 20:09what?
- 20:10And then be like,
- 20:11watch the power of my nipples.
- 20:13Yeah.
- 20:13And you could like put a show on.
- 20:14Never get nerpled again.
- 20:20The no nerp.
- 20:21The no nerp nip.
- 20:25These shirts would be good.
- 20:28Would be good for preppy gay dudes out at the club.
- 20:33Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've seen this before.
- 20:38No.
- 20:39No.
- 20:42Ours can't be worn in a club.
- 20:43it's for work that's another thing yeah we have another qr code that says listen up you piece of
- 20:52shit you try and wear this anywhere else but in front of your zoom camera we're coming heavy on
- 20:59the piece of shit hello person just gave us your money you piece of shit um here's the difference
- 21:04everyone for i lose credibility here my shirt my superior shirt covers the nipples unlike
- 21:13at the gay bar where nipples are exposed.
- 21:16This is a work shirt.
- 21:19It's the new work shirt.
- 21:20But if you happen to be at the gay bar
- 21:23and you just give a little arms up,
- 21:25woo, suddenly nips.
- 21:28That's different.
- 21:29And you know what's funny?
- 21:30We can have a-
- 21:30Suddenly nips.
- 21:32No, we don't want the-
- 21:33No, this is for work.
- 21:34That's the opposite of what we're trying to do.
- 21:36As a matter of fact,
- 21:37there is a mechanism inside the shirt
- 21:39where if you lift your arms up,
- 21:40little white pocket squares come down
- 21:42to cover your nipples.
- 21:43I thought you were going to say that it's like weighted on the shoulders that you can't lift them up.
- 21:49No, no, no.
- 21:50This is like a pop-up book for your nipples.
- 21:53You will always be respectable.
- 21:55So that answers, if you accidentally move a little bit, you're covered.
- 21:57It's just fucking squares.
- 21:59I mean, the rest of your body will be visible, but not your nipples.
- 22:01Okay.
- 22:04Is this for, this works for men and for women?
- 22:07Sure, yeah.
- 22:08Okay.
- 22:09Absolutely.
- 22:09We do not discriminate.
- 22:13So, I mean, for women, the squares that go down,
- 22:19if they raise their arms up, need to be motorized
- 22:21because there's a curvature.
- 22:24So this is a motorized shirt.
- 22:25Or there just need to be bigger flaps.
- 22:28Yeah, that's true.
- 22:29Actually, these shirts come with, when you put it on,
- 22:34you pull the little tabs down and it has a little adhesive
- 22:36and you stick it under your boobs.
- 22:38So in case, you know, they won't.
- 22:41So it acts as like a little bra.
- 22:42too in a way.
- 22:44Yeah.
- 22:44I was thinking suspenders,
- 22:45but yeah.
- 22:47Yeah.
- 22:47Yeah.
- 22:48The women's version
- 22:48is slightly more expensive,
- 22:49but that's only to cover
- 22:50the cost of materials,
- 22:51you guys.
- 22:52Right.
- 22:53We're not trying to fleece women.
- 22:55No,
- 22:55no,
- 22:55no,
- 22:55no,
- 22:56no.
- 22:57However,
- 22:57we do pay our female employees
- 22:5970 cents on the dollar.
- 23:01They like it.
- 23:02Yeah.
- 23:03It's true.
- 23:03We do.
- 23:04I'm going to be honest.
- 23:06I like making less.
- 23:08You have to do something
- 23:09to talk about.
- 23:10I know.
- 23:10Really.
- 23:11god i'm boring so i need it i need that well i feel like we've pivoted a we've pivoted far away
- 23:19from uh the hair comber come now imagine these two things together for the person that works from
- 23:26home or a news anchor uh yeah so no a news anchor that lives in the news studio so the news anchor
- 23:39when he stands up, he's naked from the nipples down.
- 23:42He doesn't have to stand up.
- 23:44Well, he's got to get up from the desk eventually.
- 23:47Somebody can come over with a blanket.
- 23:51Okay, so here's what I'm wondering.
- 23:53Is it still going to be finished like a shirt?
- 23:57With like buttons and stuff?
- 23:58Well, yeah, like is there going to be a bot?
- 24:00Because like you're saying,
- 24:02like think of a shirt cut off right below the nipples, right?
- 24:04but part of the savings is um is the lack the lack of fabric so we're not just cutting off
- 24:13the bottom of a shirt because that's how we're saving money right but then
- 24:18we're still having to pay someone to sew it right we still need like like a seamstress
- 24:25at there at the hems or you know i guess with her machine
- 24:28i'm doing the machine yeah hands yeah this is a we have a factory so okay work is done there
- 24:37so they're making it i'm i'm assuming that most of the cost of a shirt is the labor
- 24:41that's my point although it is a seamstress so we're paying her 70 cents as opposed to a seam
- 24:46stir that's true yeah that'd be a whole dollar is that the right term dollar no seamster what's a
- 24:56Male seamstress.
- 24:58Someone who sews.
- 25:04Joe, is your wife?
- 25:06Don't they get a whole other word?
- 25:07Yeah.
- 25:10Did you want me to say that?
- 25:13Seamster or Taylor?
- 25:14What the word you wanted me to say?
- 25:18Yes.
- 25:18You're on...
- 25:21Francis' wheels are churning for secret words.
- 25:24this yeah even he's writing that down too all right uh secret word secret words
- 25:32your secret word francis oh anyway um we love it yes i want to see people wearing this in the
- 25:43well i want to see the accidental foibles of someone standing up
- 25:47you're being such a dick right now
- 25:51you're saying all these words to throw Francis off the scent um yeah
- 25:58i want to yes i want to see the chicanery stop it the shenanigans no
- 26:05that happened to 60 cents done with the shit
- 26:08you also lost your right to vote oh i and then we're forgetting about uh that's fine
- 26:15I don't need it
- 26:16I'll drop your palette off for you
- 26:19just take it away from everyone though
- 26:21you're taking it away from me
- 26:22no more voting we're done
- 26:23it's not working out
- 26:25I forgot about the head helmet thing
- 26:29they have to be bought in tandem
- 26:30you get a discount
- 26:32it's financially
- 26:35advantageous
- 26:37to get them together
- 26:38because I do think
- 26:40people would like to have
- 26:43something that just like kind of
- 26:45does the auto like
- 26:46because you're right it does feel good when somebody else does
- 26:49something to your hair. You could buy it separately it's just be a tiny bit more
- 26:51expensive. I think that works better
- 26:52as just kind of like a head massage
- 26:54as opposed to people using it for practical
- 26:57combing.
- 26:59Yeah.
- 27:00It can do both.
- 27:03Okay.
- 27:04So I think that you'd be able to
- 27:07sell that. Is this
- 27:08too much like a pyramid scheme?
- 27:11Do you think?
- 27:12No we're not recruiting people
- 27:14for me to put them together?
- 27:16No.
- 27:17No, no.
- 27:18Okay.
- 27:20The first thing to understand about this product
- 27:22is it's not pyramid selling.
- 27:28Yeah.
- 27:29So I don't...
- 27:31No.
- 27:32We're not recruiting people.
- 27:34Did you have a name for the Dickies?
- 27:36um
- 27:41sit
- 27:44sit
- 27:49okay I'm writing it down
- 27:52um
- 27:53no nip slip
- 27:55no nip slip the no slip
- 27:57the no slip on
- 27:59nip tuck
- 28:03I like that
- 28:05raise it down
- 28:06what about
- 28:12what about
- 28:15seems nice
- 28:20seems nice okay yeah
- 28:25okay busty quarter busty corridor quarter oh it's like a quarter shirt yeah yeah
- 28:35but you're writing it down
- 28:37yeah I'm writing a busty corridor down
- 28:39I was going to say that I think that's my favorite
- 28:43but yeah
- 28:45also the idea of a busty corridor
- 28:47not bad either
- 28:48is that where you just walk down a
- 28:51hallway and there's a bunch of boobs
- 28:53I was thinking it was like a fun house mirror
- 28:55situation but it made your boobs look gigantic
- 28:57no I want there just to be boobs on the wall
- 29:00yeah me too
- 29:01next to
- 29:03you've had many times where you've referenced mouths being in walls too.
- 29:07Like lips on walls.
- 29:08Like a boob glory hole?
- 29:10Yeah.
- 29:11Okay.
- 29:12I never said glory hole.
- 29:14That's what we were all about.
- 29:16I had a wholesome wonk invention and you two perverted it.
- 29:19We made it glory wholesome.
- 29:21No.
- 29:23Okay, so we're happy and we like this.
- 29:25Yeah.
- 29:25And we'll buy it.
- 29:26And we won't judge people who use it.
- 29:29We will admire them.
- 29:31Yes.
- 29:31Well, I mean, how would we even know someone was using it?
- 29:34That's the whole point of it, right?
- 29:35They'll probably be posting about it.
- 29:38Talking about it nonstop.
- 29:39Yeah.
- 29:42They're going to post the bottom half of their body and be like,
- 29:44you think the top half's naked too, right?
- 29:49This product gave me wings.
- 29:53Diaphanous wings.
- 29:55Now, here's my question.
- 29:57Do we have a back to the shirt or is it just a...
- 30:00We don't need it.
- 30:01A ceremonial front.
- 30:02Please do not need it.
- 30:04Okay.
- 30:04The collar comes around, you button the collar so it stays on.
- 30:07There's no back.
- 30:08Okay.
- 30:09Yeah.
- 30:09That's the cheap, cheap model.
- 30:10We have two models.
- 30:11One is backless and one has a back.
- 30:13You want to pay a little more, you get the back.
- 30:14Okay.
- 30:15Because what if your AC is going crazy?
- 30:17There they are.
- 30:18High nipples.
- 30:21Yes, covering just your back will fix that problem.
- 30:23Just the upper half of your back.
- 30:26It's physics.
- 30:27Okay.
- 30:28Well, the the companion and the busty quarter are probably available now.
- 30:34You're welcome.

- 31:01It might not. You'll see.
- 31:02I don't know how to work that. Do you?
- 31:05Yeah, I can
- 31:06figure it out.
- 31:07I can figure it out.
- 31:11Yeah, I was going to say
- 31:15the coupon code
- 31:18SIT.
- 31:20See if that works.
- 31:21SIT20.
- 31:24Alright, well that wraps up
- 31:26the invention of the week.
- 31:27I think it's time for our next segment.
- 31:34Cut my hair and shut up.
- 31:39Do me a favor.
- 31:41Cut my hair and shut up.
- 31:45Francis, you want to explain this?
- 31:47Yeah, yeah, I do.
- 31:49Cut my hair and shut up.
- 31:51Works like this.
- 31:52One of us is a hairstylist and neither is a customer or client.
- 31:56and the client really just wants to get a haircut experience.
- 32:00It doesn't really want to talk,
- 32:01but the hairstylist can't shut up.
- 32:05That's it.
- 32:06Okay.
- 32:07Who you feel like you are.
- 32:10I think we're both in real life,
- 32:14the person that wants the hairstylist to shut up.
- 32:19Totally.
- 32:19Who do you want to be now?
- 32:20um
- 32:22I'll
- 32:25I don't know you pick you be stylist
- 32:28okay I'll be stylist yeah

- 32:38week I just want to veg out and run this
- 32:40oh I understand
- 32:42completely
- 32:43speaking of long
- 32:46weeks god I have something to tell you
- 32:49honey oh okay i okay do you remember last time you were here i was telling you about my cat
- 32:57who kept throwing up all over yeah mr gerbils you okay yeah oh i i wish the throwing up has stopped
- 33:08oh but it has been replaced by the loudest meowing oh my god i can't sleep i can't sleep
- 33:18Oh, nothing happened? It's just meowing?
- 33:21No, it's just meowing. It's just, ugh.
- 33:23Oh, that's hard.
- 33:25You know me. You know how I am about my sleep.
- 33:27Yeah, I'm going to close my eyes now.
- 33:28Yeah, ugh. Oh, I wish I could do that, hon.
- 33:33Anyway, don't move your head.
- 33:36Yeah, sorry.
- 33:38That's fine. I just don't want to keep it even.
- 33:42Anyway, do you remember when I was telling you about that time
- 33:45that my grandmother had been in the hospital.
- 33:48I don't want to be rude.
- 33:49I just,
- 33:50um,
- 33:51when I came in and said I had a lung week,
- 33:53what I,
- 33:53what I was trying to say was you had a lung week.
- 33:55Like my grandmother did that one time where she went,
- 33:58she had that thing on her lung.
- 34:00Oh,
- 34:00that's rough.
- 34:01I'm,
- 34:02I just I kind of good I going to zone out Oh okay Well no well that that that fine I just keep telling you my story Um yeah So she had to go to the
- 34:13hospital and, um, remember she had that thing on her lung that had to be checked out and Jane is
- 34:19really hard to zone out. Um, someone like me, I just, I feel like I just need a little Zen,
- 34:25you know, you got it. Thank you. You're the best. Oh yeah. No, no. I, I, honey, I get it.
- 34:31I get it.
- 34:34So anyway, she was at the hospital.
- 34:38And there was that nurse.
- 34:40Remember I told you that nurse?
- 34:42Jane?
- 34:43I'm talking in my most zen voice.
- 34:46But why are you talking at all?
- 34:48Because it's just, you know, I'm cutting your hair all day.
- 34:52And I haven't seen you since the last time you were here.
- 34:54Okay, let's just, I'm going to give you, here, let's just really quick.
- 34:58I don't want to be rude.
- 34:59There's one thing I want to be is not rude.
- 35:01Oh, you're not, hon.
- 35:02It's good to see you.
- 35:03Thank you.
- 35:04I'll just let you know nothing new is going on with me.
- 35:06I understand you got some stuff with Mr. Durable and your grandma.
- 35:08Yeah, no, I got and I got more to tell you.
- 35:10Oh, well, let's pick maybe one more thing and then let's lock it down.
- 35:16Okay.
- 35:18Oh, God.
- 35:18One more.
- 35:19So much has happened.
- 35:21So much has happened since the last time you were here.
- 35:23Here's an extra.
- 35:24Has my therapist taught me?
- 35:25Close your eyes.
- 35:26Okay.
- 35:26Okay.
- 35:26What's the biggest thing that happened?
- 35:27okay i got it i got it great great okay all right
- 35:35lucky charms added a new marshmallow to their cereal and it's yeah they added it's it's a new
- 35:47and i don't know if it's sticking around or not this is some this is news to you this is big news
- 35:52Mr. Gerber, Grandma, and Lucky Charms?
- 35:55I'm getting to it.
- 35:56I'm sorry.
- 35:56I'm getting to it.
- 35:57I'm just grumpy.
- 35:58Boss called me a shithead.
- 36:00Go ahead.
- 36:00Oh, you could talk about that if you want, hon.
- 36:03Tempting, but no.
- 36:05Anyway, here's the thing.
- 36:08I know all the marshmallows supposedly taste the same,
- 36:11but this new one, this little treasure chest,
- 36:13I'm fairly certain they're using a whole different marshmallow recipe
- 36:17just for the treasure chest.
- 36:19And I'm thinking to myself, how could that be profitable?
- 36:23How could that even be something worthwhile?
- 36:26Just make a different one, right?
- 36:29And so I...
- 36:31Oh, sorry, honey.
- 36:33Let me just shake you away.
- 36:35Are you saying something?
- 36:37Yeah.
- 36:38Right.
- 36:39Okay, so back to the treasure chest.
- 36:41Here, I'm just going to put my scissors down for a second.
- 36:42I can't even...
- 36:43No, no, no, no.
- 36:44I got to look you in the eye when I'm talking to you, honey.
- 36:47I got to look...
- 36:49be mirror eyes either. I'm going to, I got to lean up. I got to lean up against the,
- 36:53against my little booth here. I do have a funeral to get to after this. Oh, I'm so sorry.
- 36:59Yeah. So I'm sorry, but I do need you to just work. Pick up the scissors
- 37:02and give me the mullet I asked for. Thank you. All right. You hear one mullet coming up.
- 37:08Thanks.
- 37:09it was
- 37:13okay
- 37:15it's

- 37:21it noises

- 37:25noises

- 37:28I'm trying so hard
- 37:29this can't be the first time someone's asked you
- 37:33no one's ever
- 37:35no
- 37:35Oh my god, this is worse somehow
- 37:40Jane, no, no, no, sit down
- 37:44Sit down, you sit down, sit down
- 37:45Okay, oh, thank you
- 37:47Take a breath, take a breath
- 37:48God, that was horrible
- 37:49I'm sorry, I'm sorry
- 37:51Here, hand me the scissors
- 37:53Yeah, here you go, you try it
- 37:55You try cutting hair and not talking at the same time
- 37:58I'm doing it, look how easy this is, ready?
- 38:01Oh, you're cutting my hair
- 38:02Yeah, let's, you know
- 38:04the shoemakers children always go bald.
- 38:07Thank you.
- 38:08Yeah.
- 38:09Thank you.
- 38:10Yeah.
- 38:11All right.
- 38:11Okay.
- 38:12No,
- 38:12you're right.
- 38:12It's actually very peaceful in this chair.
- 38:14I'm going to take a moment.
- 38:15Please do.
- 38:16Please do.
- 38:17I'm going to take a moment and take a moment.
- 38:20I'll give you some peace.
- 38:21I'll show you what I'm talking about.
- 38:22Okay.
- 38:24God,
- 38:24the texture on your hair,
- 38:26you know,
- 38:26it reminds me of just right.
- 38:31Hey,
- 38:32have you ever thought that maybe,
- 38:33um,
- 38:34if you would just reshape the look of the back of your head,
- 38:37the front of your head will look a lot better.
- 38:38I Toby,
- 38:39Toby just,
- 38:41I,
- 38:41I,
- 38:41you're right.
- 38:42I needed this moment.
- 38:43I needed this moment.
- 38:44Take it,
- 38:44Jane,
- 38:44take it,
- 38:45take it.
- 38:45Silence.
- 38:46Relax.
- 38:46It's really comfortable in this chair.
- 38:48And I,
- 38:48I,
- 38:48I like that you're,
- 38:49you're giving us matching mullets,
- 38:51but I think I just want to sit here and you sit there.
- 38:54I'll do some light feathering and I'll do it in silence.
- 38:58Okay.
- 39:02Okay, you're humming.
- 39:04You're humming to yourself.
- 39:05Oh, you can hear that?
- 39:06I can hear that, yeah.
- 39:06Oh, sorry, it was in my throat.
- 39:08I didn't know you could hear it.
- 39:08Was that a real song?
- 39:10Yeah, you don't know it?
- 39:11What's the song?
- 39:12It's called Don't You Remember You Told Me You Loved Me Baby.
- 39:15Oh.
- 39:16Oh, okay.
- 39:19Okay, well, if you could just not do that, that would be great.
- 39:22Sure, no problem.
- 39:23Yeah, you got it.
- 39:24by the way i wasn't too sure on the name of that song earlier
- 39:32that's i think i might have told you the chorus name and
- 39:36the point the point stood i knew what the song was once you said it is don't worry about it
- 39:43how many use fire to cut your hair now no wait no wait
- 39:46what do you do no yeah i saw this on youtube you just burn the ends real quick and just
- 39:53and it cuts into this really beautiful fringe.
- 39:56Okay.
- 39:56Well, I just need this moment to relax.
- 40:01You're right.
- 40:02Yeah, relax.
- 40:02Fire is very relaxing.
- 40:03I just finally have stopped thinking about Lucky Charms
- 40:06for the first time in like three or four weeks.
- 40:08Oh, yeah.
- 40:09So just do whatever you're going to do.
- 40:11Just do it quietly, please.
- 40:13Okay.
- 40:14You got it.
- 40:17Meow.
- 40:18Are you speaking of meow?
- 40:19Mr. Gerbil.
- 40:20Oh, now you want to talk about Mr. Gerbil?
- 40:22Oh, I'm sorry.
- 40:23I saw the picture of him on your stand.
- 40:29Yeah.
- 40:30Okay.
- 40:30Yeah.
- 40:32Made me want to meow.
- 40:33That's all I had to say.
- 40:33Sorry.
- 40:35It's all just meowing my head.
- 40:38That's, please, if you could.
- 40:39I wish Mr. Gerbils would do that.
- 40:41What if I take this up above the ears?
- 40:43That could be interesting.
- 40:44Oh, no.
- 40:45Is that too pig in a wig?
- 40:47Yeah, a little bit.
- 40:49I apologize.
- 40:50I'm new to this.
- 40:51Okay.
- 40:52You know, you never walk me through it when you're doing it.
- 40:54You're always talking about your life and you're never telling me about my haircut.
- 40:56I know that's part of the, that's part of it.
- 40:57It's like the, you need to have the mind mouth connection.
- 41:01Let me tell you what I'm doing.
- 41:03I'm cutting now.
- 41:04I'm cutting.
- 41:05Oh, I don't need to hear about putting some of your hair between my fingers and arbitrarily
- 41:09cutting.
- 41:09Yeah.
- 41:10I don't need to hear about it.
- 41:11I know this doesn't make sense as someone who's not a professional, but the hair is going
- 41:14through my fingers and I know what that means.
- 41:16Okay.
- 41:18Yeah.
- 41:19I can.
- 41:20I cut your mole.
- 41:21you know what you know what toby you've
- 41:27you've made me see the error of my ways uh it is really frustrating when you're sitting in this
- 41:35chair and it's like a really comfortable chair and you just want someone to be quiet so you can
- 41:38sit there and then so okay if you want to either either we both sit and be quiet or we both gotta
- 41:47be cutting hair and be chatting with each other.
- 41:49How about we just take the lessons that we learned.
- 41:52You go back to cutting my hair.
- 41:53All right.
- 41:54And we got this.
- 41:55Okay.
- 41:56Okay.
- 41:59All right.
- 42:00Here we go.
- 42:03Resuming my cutting.
- 42:04Perfect.
- 42:06I have learned my lesson.
- 42:08It is a lesson learned.
- 42:10Yep.
- 42:11I'm educated.
- 42:13Oh,
- 42:13so last week I noticed in my neighborhood,
- 42:14there was a little library.
- 42:17Toby, would you...
- 42:18Somebody ran over it.
- 42:20What?
- 42:20Shut the fuck up, Toby.
- 42:21What?
- 42:22Shut up.
- 42:22Shut up.
- 42:23No, the floodgates are open.
- 42:25And there was pornography in it.
- 42:28In my neighborhood.
- 42:31You want to cut my mole?
- 42:38Okay, well, I think we've figured it out.
- 42:40We know what it's like.
- 42:41I hope that every hairstylist in the world
- 42:43got a chance to hear this. I know.
- 42:47Hairstylists, if you're listening, and we know you are. Dressed hairstylists
- 42:51before, haven't we? We have. We have. We have. With miser hands.
- 42:55This is a big miser hands episode.
- 42:58Yeah.
- 43:01I guess, yeah, we know it's frustrating on either end, apparently.
- 43:06There's no winning. The lady that cuts my hair, just to let you know,
- 43:10does not know what she's doing.
- 43:15No,
- 43:15no,
- 43:15she's like,
- 43:16you look good.
- 43:17Thanks.
- 43:17I go home and fix it while I cry.
- 43:20No,
- 43:20she interrupts me on that.
- 43:23So like talk,
- 43:25I hate when people do that.
- 43:26Oh my God,
- 43:26my hairstylist.
- 43:27Yeah.
- 43:29Yeah.
- 43:33So she just picks up what you're saying or just goes up.
- 43:36Yeah.
- 43:36It's like,
- 43:37she'll ask me a question.
- 43:37I'll start to answer it.
- 43:38And then like before I'm finished,
- 43:39she like pipes in.
- 43:40I didn't really even want to talk anyway.
- 43:44I appreciate that she remembers things like, oh, how's this going?
- 43:46How's that going?
- 43:46It's like, I told you about that.
- 43:49Did you tell her about the podcast?
- 43:50No.
- 43:50Okay.
- 43:51No, no, no, no.
- 43:52All right.
- 43:53Good.
- 43:53I didn't know if she would.
- 43:54What if she accidentally stumbles upon it?
- 43:57Then she deserved to.
- 43:59Yeah.
- 43:59There were no accidents.
- 44:00Burn notice.
- 44:01Yeah.
- 44:02Hairstylist.
- 44:02Yeah, you got it.
- 44:03Ooh, my tummy just rumbled.
- 44:05Oh.
- 44:07That's because that was a very invigorating segment.
- 44:09Yeah, I worked up an appetite.
- 44:11Yep.
- 44:11That wraps up.
- 44:14Cut my hair and shut up.
- 44:17I can't hear you over the sound of you shutting up.
- 44:22Okay.
- 44:25Delightful.
- 44:26It's time for our last segment.
- 44:31Apologize that.
- 44:33That was.
- 44:33should we put a recording of that onto the sound machine no just said no just sounded like a yes
- 44:44i said yes
- 44:46all right uh i've got a big old question for you okay good i was gonna say that takes us to our
- 44:54next segment the big question the question is very big oh i thought you already said that
- 45:03sorry everyone i'm stupid no you're not stupid you're just excited i'm stupid but lovable
- 45:11but i'm afraid you're being a dumb bitch
- 45:13and you're bringing a jacket too
- 45:18oh my god swap my fly and call me a dead fly
- 45:25where'd it go it's on the ground oh you put it on the ground there's a dead fly that was on our
- 45:31table. It was very, it was so green. It was so green and shiny. It was crazy.
- 45:36It was opalescent. It will put a picture of it on the very fine friends website,
- 45:41but just for one day. So if you don't see it up there, that means you missed it.
- 45:45Yeah. And then I saw it was gone and I thought it got up and left to laugh at our content.
- 45:49It walked itself away. Yeah. It's a hairstylist fly. It was devastated.
- 45:56So, okay. Sorry.
- 45:57don't apologize
- 45:58big question oh yeah yeah yeah you want me to ask you
- 46:02you want me to ask your big question
- 46:04or I will
- 46:04here it is my big question
- 46:07you were on top of a cliff
- 46:12or a tall tall building
- 46:14on the roof you were with someone
- 46:16and you wanted them to jump off it
- 46:18how
- 46:20and they're saying how would you convince them
- 46:22to jump off the roof
- 46:23no this is not like texture
- 46:26so you're john lithgow no no no you're not threatening them they can't do it sad you gotta
- 46:33gaslight them into thinking you gotta make them die happy yes yes joe gets it i can't believe
- 46:39you brought up dexter although love that season that episode made me sick yeah that was a
- 46:45scene stuck with me yeah me too
- 46:47okay so i have to get them
- 46:54to voluntarily
- 46:57walk off the edge of a high building
- 47:00and
- 47:03there's all sorts of shenanigans
- 47:10going on in the background
- 47:12listeners I can't describe what it is
- 47:14to you
- 47:15okay
- 47:20walk off jump whatever
- 47:22they have to voluntarily
- 47:23throw themselves
- 47:25off this building.
- 47:28Yeah.
- 47:29Do I have to
- 47:30to start
- 47:32with them on the building?
- 47:34Can I have some lead up
- 47:35to this?
- 47:36You can have some lead up.
- 47:37Okay.
- 47:38All right.
- 47:41Is it a friend of mine?
- 47:44Be anyone you want.
- 47:45Okay.
- 47:45Okay.
- 47:46Let's
- 47:46say it's a friend of mine
- 47:49just for ease of
- 47:51relationship.
- 47:53yeah it's someone that i'm already acquainted with yeah someone who trusts you basically
- 47:57yeah sure although the trust is not doesn't have to be there yet um
- 48:02i would
- 48:06i would start like around this friend um
- 48:15uh, I would start with doing like nostalgic references at times, like getting them in
- 48:29kind of like a nostalgia mode. Um, and then have them have them, um, okay, sorry. It was
- 48:45It's too much of a pause.
- 48:46What am I trying to say?
- 48:47Okay.
- 48:47So then,
- 48:48then I,
- 48:48then they'd be like longing for their past for the child,
- 48:51the childhood.
- 48:51Right.
- 48:52Right.
- 48:52But like subtly,
- 48:54like little drips of it,
- 48:55not here and there,
- 48:55nothing like,
- 48:56so like suspiciously over the top all at once.
- 49:00And then I'd be like,
- 49:03Hey,
- 49:03do you want to have like,
- 49:05do you want to have like a,
- 49:07do you want to hang out for a day?
- 49:08Like as if we're 12 years old,
- 49:10like we were buddies when we were 12 and like,
- 49:13have like a fun like 12 year old day not not in a weird way no but like i know i know but i see
- 49:19where you're going with this okay do you okay finish it for okay go on um and then and they'd
- 49:29be like yeah you know what that sounds really great like yeah i'd love to be like a carefree
- 49:3312 year old again so like all right great cool no phones um no phones like we're gonna like get up
- 49:42early, like watch Saturday morning cartoons, like hang out, like go to a skate park or whatever.
- 49:52And so be like, great. Like, so then we watch cartoons. And then I started telling them like,
- 49:59man, cartoons are the best. I love the logic behind cartoons, you know, like,
- 50:06you're in love and you get a giant heart coming out of your chest, right?
- 50:13Or, yeah, like all like the, you know, that kind of stuff.
- 50:20You like stuff.
- 50:21Yeah, all that, right?
- 50:23I don't say anything about buildings or heights or anything like that.
- 50:28Just talking about like the little stuff, right?
- 50:33And they'd be like, yeah, that is cool, right?
- 50:35Cause everyone thinks that's cool.
- 50:37The logic of cartoons.
- 50:39Um,
- 50:39and then the day would go on and,
- 50:43um,
- 50:44we'd have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch.
- 50:47Yeah.
- 50:49Yeah.
- 50:51Uh,
- 50:51sidebar.
- 50:52Yeah.
- 50:53Is there a perfect way to make those in your mind?
- 50:55What's your favorite way?
- 50:56Well,
- 50:57yeah,
- 50:57I,
- 50:57I,
- 50:58lots of peanut butter.
- 50:59You gotta have a lot of peanut butter.
- 51:00And then I do the jelly on top of the peanut butter.
- 51:04It's like,
- 51:04so it gets mixed in I don do jelly on a different slice of bread They don need to be meat in for the first time like an arranged marriage That interesting That interesting Yeah Why do you not do that
- 51:16No, I've never thought of that.
- 51:17And you're right.
- 51:18Because the virgin bread is going to get the shit on it
- 51:22when you put it together anyway.
- 51:24Yeah.
- 51:25So why do I do it on two pieces of bread?
- 51:27Because you can't spread it properly
- 51:29with the surface of the peanut butter.
- 51:31No.
- 51:31It coagulates.
- 51:32I argue that you want more of a peanut butter to jelly ratio.
- 51:37Yeah, I agree.
- 51:37I would say like two to one.
- 51:39So the doing it on there, it like allows you to spread it and you don't do as much jelly.
- 51:45I think you do.
- 51:47I think it gives you just the right amount of jelly.
- 51:50For the for the peanut butter, I'm try it.
- 51:54Try it.
- 51:54I'm telling you, it tastes different.
- 51:56Can we can make videos on our site?
- 51:58We should make the perfect.
- 51:59We should make it and then show people.
- 52:01Okay.
- 52:02yeah we can do that okay i don't know back to your anyways back to killing your friend yeah
- 52:06uh so then we'd have after our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches we'd um we'd go swimming
- 52:12for a little while and even and we would not wait 30 minutes to get in the pool
- 52:17uh we would just tell our mom that we no no it's been 30 minutes we can go in the pool
- 52:23and then we'd secretly be wondering if we were going to get a stitch in our side and drown
- 52:28but we wouldn't.
- 52:30And then after that,
- 52:32we would go to the skate park
- 52:34and here's where my plan comes.
- 52:38You seem bored by my plan.
- 52:39No, I'm thinking about what you're saying.
- 52:41Okay.
- 52:43So I,
- 52:45we'd be skating
- 52:46and I,
- 52:49I would purposefully
- 52:52take a spill,
- 52:54but they wouldn't,
- 52:55my friend wouldn't know it was on purpose.
- 52:57Oh.
- 52:57And I'd be like,
- 52:58oh man oh my kneecaps ah yes because i've yelled that out oh my kneecaps yeah ah
- 53:06shit is that your word
- 53:09okay and then oh boy i hope no
- 53:17just listen to the story i'm answering your big question don't get distracted by joe writing things
- 53:27I'm distracted by just go on.
- 53:29Okay.
- 53:31I'd be like,
- 53:32Oh,
- 53:32my kneecaps.
- 53:35And then,
- 53:36and then,
- 53:36but here's what I would do.
- 53:38I would have like a prosthetic thing,
- 53:41like a,
- 53:42like a fake thing that looked like a big kneecap that was pulsing.
- 53:48Okay.
- 53:50So it's,
- 53:51it's pulsing.
- 53:52And then I'm like,
- 53:53like,
- 53:54it's like,
- 53:54what would happen is if it was,
- 53:56You got injured in a cartoon.
- 53:59Like, what is going on?
- 54:01Wait, have we made cartoon stuff seem real?
- 54:06Would you be using the knot pulls for these fake kneecaps?
- 54:08Yes, of course.
- 54:10Why try to invent something better?
- 54:13Go right to the source.
- 54:13Yeah.
- 54:15And so my friend would be like, holy crap, that's crazy.
- 54:20And then I'd be like, let's test this out.
- 54:23let's see if like, wait, our cartoon rules,
- 54:28like actually coming true. So it'd be like, okay, let's, you know,
- 54:31I have that crush. Let's go,
- 54:33let's go talk to my crush and we'll see if like something happens and I'd have
- 54:37a fake heart that does the same thing. It's like shaped like a heart,
- 54:40like the traditional, you know, not like an actual physical human heart,
- 54:44but you know that, you know? Yeah.
- 54:46And I'd set that up under my shirt and then I'd walk by somebody that my friend
- 54:50knows I have a crush on. And then all of a sudden my, like the heart would start, I'd activate a
- 54:56button and the heart would start going through. I'd be like, Oh my God. Okay. We gotta get out
- 54:58of here. I can't let my crush know. But this is like, Oh my God, this is really, this is like real.
- 55:04And, um, then I, I would have hired an actor. Um, I would have hired an actor. Uh,
- 55:13so I'd be up at the top of a building and I, we'd get, I'd be like, let's go to the top of
- 55:20this bank building. Let's go
- 55:22to this bank building.
- 55:24Let's see if any of their old safes are up there.
- 55:29There would be a safe there.
- 55:32You'd put it there.
- 55:33Right. I'd be like, I knew it. I knew they stored them up here.
- 55:38And then I would be like,
- 55:40and it would be like a real safe, right?
- 55:43Yeah, of course.
- 55:44Right, because I would hire an actor to walk
- 55:46by. Always good to have a witness.
- 55:48Yeah.
- 55:48Well, no, I would walk by down below right at the moment.
- 55:52So be like, let's see if we can, if we crush this guy and then he gets back up and he just
- 55:58looks a little flat in the middle from where the safe crushed him.
- 56:01My friend would be like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 56:03And I'm like, this is maybe a little too much.
- 56:04I'm like, no, I'm telling you, this is the ultimate test.
- 56:07I bet you it'll work.
- 56:08So then I pushed the safe over the edge.
- 56:11And they're like, yeah, okay, do it.
- 56:12Well, you can't stop me.
- 56:14I'm strong-willed.
- 56:15Once I get an idea in my head, they know this.
- 56:17so i push the safe over the side and then the safe falls down and lands on the actor the actor's got
- 56:24a whole thing jerry rigged where it's like it looks like he's so then like he's flattened
- 56:28underneath the safe but then this uh and then we have other actors there that are like oh my gosh
- 56:33and they like pull the safe off of him and then he stands up and he just like looks taller and
- 56:37flat in the middle and it's a bit of an optical illusion which we can get away with because we're
- 56:41on top of the roof so that there's like sure it's not we're not up close you could tell it wasn't
- 56:45real but um farther away um why did you tell the actors that you're doing this i'm but it doesn't
- 56:53matter they they're they're local community theater type actors they just want the work
- 56:57they want it for their real i don't know the rest of your plan yet but i'm just curious
- 57:01they leave you get what you want which is your friend jumps they turn on the news later they
- 57:09don't put two and two together like they can't see they can't it's getting as far away that they
- 57:13don't know what my friend looks like they only have a vague like okay all right and then so and
- 57:18and also this is i haven't thought this through so look they're just happy to be working no no
- 57:24i've thought this through so they haven't seen what my friend really looks like other than a
- 57:28vague shape looking off the side of top of the building yeah and then i'm not stupid i'm not
- 57:34going to tell him to jump off this building oh where there were previously a bunch of witnesses
- 57:38to my weird stunt,
- 57:41we go to,
- 57:42we go like,
- 57:43let's go through the park
- 57:44and see if flowers
- 57:47will squirt water
- 57:48or whatever.
- 57:49And I'll have a few
- 57:49strategically placed flowers
- 57:51that we can try
- 57:51that will squirt water.
- 57:52They go to the wrong one.
- 57:53She's like,
- 57:53no, no, no, not that one.
- 57:54This one.
- 57:54This one.
- 57:55Squeeze this one.
- 57:56Yeah.
- 57:58And then,
- 57:59or maybe I squeezed
- 58:00the wrong one
- 58:01and then my friend
- 58:02squeezes the right one
- 58:03and is like,
- 58:04you've got the touch.
- 58:05You've got the cartoon touch.
- 58:07You should jump.
- 58:08Yeah.
- 58:08And I was like,
- 58:08let's go to a different building.
- 58:11It's like,
- 58:11let's,
- 58:12let's see if we can find a building that's even higher up.
- 58:14Oh,
- 58:14look in this park,
- 58:15there's an observation tower.
- 58:18Um,
- 58:18and I was like,
- 58:19let's run really fast up,
- 58:21up the stairs and see if there's like our legs go in circles and there's like
- 58:25dust coming out from behind us.
- 58:26And we,
- 58:26so we try that.
- 58:28Um,
- 58:28and,
- 58:29uh,
- 58:29it's like,
- 58:30Oh,
- 58:30I couldn't tell.
- 58:30It looked like your,
- 58:31it did look like your legs were going as fast,
- 58:33really in circles as we were running.
- 58:34So like now we're at the top of a different building across town.
- 58:38And then I'm like, oh, man, we got to try that.
- 58:41That one last thing you'll have to try, man, is just I want you to like step off this building and just don't look down.
- 58:49You'll be able to like basically keep walking as long as you don't know that you're not on the building anymore.
- 58:55And then my friends by this point is jazzed because, yeah, we're living in cartoon world.
- 59:00Yeah.
- 59:01So he does it and he dies.
- 59:03The end.
- 59:05Good night.
- 59:05Yeah.
- 59:06Can I just say that I kind of love that this is only an effective workable plan if our product comes to market?
- 59:18Hey, luckily it is.
- 59:20So next week, do I need to introduce the thumping heart?
- 59:24No, that's part of the package.
- 59:26I mean, we basically pitched that whole thing as a bunch of different body parts, different things.
- 59:33It's going to be a whole set.
- 59:34There will be a deluxe set that includes that.
- 59:37I bet if you really like destroyed someone's reality like that,
- 59:42then you could get them to do things,
- 59:44but it would really need to be convincing.
- 59:46Well,
- 59:47I don't know if there's anything that can get me to do that.
- 59:49Cause in the back of my mind,
- 59:50I'd be like,
- 59:51what if best case scenario,
- 59:54this is a dream and I wake up like,
- 59:57it's like a nightmare,
- 59:58right?
- 59:59Cause that's scary,
- 1:00:00you know?
- 1:00:01No.
- 1:00:01Cause I mean,
- 1:00:02he,
- 1:00:02well except for that last few seconds of his life he died happy yeah i gave him a good day
- 1:00:09actually if you go to a building that's tall enough he'll pass out before he hits the ground
- 1:00:13yeah why uh just the like the brain and the human body like after you've reached a certain amount of
- 1:00:20like pressure and time spent falling like you just your body can't handle it and you pass out
- 1:00:24how do people skydive then yeah i there i have heard different theories about this about why
- 1:00:32people pass out but i've heard that they do and i one of the theories i've heard about it is that
- 1:00:36it's like psychologically you can't handle your brain can't handle the idea that you're dying
- 1:00:43you're gonna die so you pass out from that to save you from it but he doesn't think that
- 1:00:49well once he once he starts falling he'll think that joe's gonna shout you're gonna die
- 1:00:56whoops i was wrong there was no cloud of dust while you were running up the stairs
- 1:01:02I'm the one who has the touch, not you.
- 1:01:06Thanks for telling Janine I liked her in third grade.
- 1:01:10Anyway, that's what I'd do.
- 1:01:12Oh, great.
- 1:01:12Great.
- 1:01:13Thank you.
- 1:01:13Thank you.
- 1:01:14Now I know what to watch out for.
- 1:01:16You little minx.
- 1:01:17If I ever start subtly being nostalgic around you.
- 1:01:21I see your heart like pounding through your chest.
- 1:01:23I'm like, nice try.
- 1:01:23But you're having like a medical emergency.
- 1:01:25I'm like, uh-huh.
- 1:01:25No, it's just because of you, Francis.
- 1:01:27Oh, thanks.
- 1:01:28It's because I love you.
- 1:01:29Oh, wow.
- 1:01:30Did you hear that, listeners?
- 1:01:32loved.
- 1:01:35Anyway, how would you do it?
- 1:01:38Um,
- 1:01:41your way.
- 1:01:44Okay, cool.
- 1:01:45I can't believe we came up with this independently,
- 1:01:46came up with the same idea.
- 1:01:48Everyone loves cartoon logic.
- 1:01:49Yeah.
- 1:01:54Okay.
- 1:01:54Okay.
- 1:01:55Well, I guess we've got nothing further.
- 1:01:59No.
- 1:02:00Our friends are dead.
- 1:02:02Yeah.
- 1:02:03Our money is big.
- 1:02:06Yeah.
- 1:02:07Our hearts are full and pounding out of our chest.
- 1:02:10Everything's good.
- 1:02:11Everything's coming up in the mail house.
- 1:02:13That wraps up the big question.
- 1:02:16The big question.
- 1:02:18One final bit of business.
- 1:02:23Secret words.
- 1:02:24Secret words.
- 1:02:25Yeah.
- 1:02:26Secret words.
- 1:02:27Palabras secretos.
- 1:02:28secretos um how you feeling i feel like i have a chance to guess your secret word all right go for
- 1:02:37it all right i'm gonna come right out of the gate and usually i read them in the order that i've
- 1:02:42written them down okay i'm gonna say first the one that i think it might be all right because
- 1:02:47then that way if i'm wrong or if i'm right i can guess the rest of them as your that's good logic
- 1:02:52that's good logic thank you maybe in the future if you guess the wrong word it should stop your
- 1:02:57ability to keep going. We should think about that.
- 1:02:59No. No, we shouldn't
- 1:03:01think about it? No, because I like when we have
- 1:03:03multiple...
- 1:03:04I'm done with this.
- 1:03:08You wrote down
- 1:03:09like 80 million things. So
- 1:03:10what, you want me to tell you that if you guess wrong
- 1:03:13on the first one that you don't get to guess any of your
- 1:03:15other ones? Have you ever heard the phrase rules for thee,
- 1:03:17not for me?
- 1:03:19All right. Go ahead.
- 1:03:21Is your word
- 1:03:22pyramid? Decoy word.
- 1:03:25Damn!
- 1:03:27All right.
- 1:03:28Well, now I'm guessing all these other ones as you're...
- 1:03:30Dang it.
- 1:03:31Damn.
- 1:03:31I felt really good about that.
- 1:03:33I even accidentally said it, too.
- 1:03:34I know.
- 1:03:34And then after I did, I was like, ah, shit.
- 1:03:36Sorry, Francie.
- 1:03:37Well, it's fine if you say it once it's been said by one of us.
- 1:03:39You're allowed to repeat it.
- 1:03:40No, I know.
- 1:03:41But I make it a point only to do that with the decoy words, which is why I made it a
- 1:03:45point later.
- 1:03:47Never mind.
- 1:03:48Okay.
- 1:03:50The sisters are squabbling.
- 1:03:53Okay.
- 1:03:54All right.
- 1:03:54Dang it.
- 1:03:54Well, they're already one point for you.
- 1:03:56Thank you.

- 1:05:04going to forget to say it completely that'll be the what third time that's happened
- 1:05:09dang that's okay that's part of my problem too i don't know if i would have written down
- 1:05:15workable because that was a very natural way to say it yeah but part of the problem is i
- 1:05:22I just assume you've said it already once we get to the end.
- 1:05:26I don't, I didn't think you'd be living on the edge.
- 1:05:29I thought I missed it.
- 1:05:30Oh, you did?
