- 0:40the way you made Bill Vegan. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. You're listening
- 0:47to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the sport Shock wing Gandy. Good morning
- 0:52to you. It is cold here in Atlanta, Georgia, but you know
- 0:58we were turning the curve. When you look at the weather report, we
- 1:02should be back in the sixties in a couple of days. So just keep
- 1:07warming that car up early, you know, just going out there before you
- 1:11brush your teeth, drink the car up. If you got the steering wheel
- 1:15heater, turn it on, get to get it going. Don't don't jumping.
- 1:19Don't do that to yourself. Don't don't sit in the car and freeze
- 1:25for ten minutes. Just have some sensibilities, you know, give yourself a
- 1:30couple of minutes. Just run out there, turn the car on. Let
- 1:33it warm up. Like the old days, you ain't got to give it
- 1:34no gas. In the seventies and eighties, you have to pump the gas,
- 1:38give it gas and try to get it going. Just turn it on,
- 1:42let it warm up, you know. Command You got that Ranger out
- 1:47there, you know, does it does it have heated seats? No?
- 1:51It's from last century. Oh yeah, yeah, but it's a classic though,
- 1:56But it don't have to. I'm quite sure you get a lot of
- 1:57hits on the highway. People to buy it. Absolutely. Yeah, it's
- 2:01hard to find the Ranger. Yeah, a lot of people don't realize that
- 2:05it's one of those classic cars that they made and people just fell in love
- 2:09with him. So hopefully you're staying warm. We have a warm, hot
- 2:15show for you today. We're gonna try to talk to sports, but we
- 2:19are a lot of other conversations that we have to have today. The bad
- 2:23producers in the building, Big Kenny Dapan himself is in the building, and
- 2:29commanchie Greg is here as well. As I left I left you on Monday.
- 2:32I know. The big question with Comanchi and the bad producer was Spurs
- 2:39star Victor women Yama, the man from Paris, the Eiffel Tower whatever.
- 2:46At some point at the end of the year, one of these shoe companies
- 2:51will ceement in two our memories of whoever he's supposed to be. I don't
- 2:57know his nickname right now. That's not that's just something they made. I've
- 3:02heard enough suggestions, but they haven't. Well, it would just be nice
- 3:07maybe to ask Victor what they've been calling him and work from there. But
- 3:14you two gentlemen wanted to know. I got to see the Spurs on MLKD
- 3:17here playing the Hawks. Hawks won that game. Spurs were down big for
- 3:23basically ninety percent of the game. They made a push at the end but
- 3:27could not come back. And you guys wondered that his teammates basically freeze him
- 3:34out. Is that kind of like the question you two had? That was
- 3:37my question, Yeah, my question. That's been something I've been hearing all
- 3:40season. Yeah, And my question was is do you think that they will
- 3:46are the Spurs? Is he going to be able to be developed in a
- 3:47way as far as like weight wise, size. There's a lot of questions
- 3:53in regards of his development. I don't think that he will have any quite
- 3:58problem developing. He just turned twenty this month. He's seven five and he's
- 4:04twenty years old. He is thin, but he's not as thin as Karen
- 4:13Kevin Durant was when you first saw him. He will easily if he chooses
- 4:19based on how he wants to play, to put twenty five pounds on.
- 4:25I didn't look at him at all and think, oh, he's too skinny.
- 4:29We're talking about a like I said, it's this rookie year. He
- 4:31just turned twenty. Most guys have you caught them, y'all? Do remember
- 4:39the original Kobe? Yeah? I remember the original Kobe that barely had enough
- 4:45weight on the original Tracy McGrady. Yeah, in their rookie year when they
- 4:48were eighteen nineteen years old. So the same thing with this guy. I
- 4:54don't know why people keep looking at him like, oh, why couldn't he
- 4:59put on twenty thirty forty pounds Joseph. Yeah, yeah, these guys are
- 5:05It's one thing that they had been through a college program for three or four
- 5:10years and this is all you got. But if I just left some Croissant
- 5:15places, that is that profiling. Yeah, that's well that cafe, yeah,
- 5:23I mean Croissant's over in Paris. Yeah, yeah, cafe that's the
- 5:29right country. Yeah, that's im And it wasn't profiling. So he threw
- 5:33pepular pew in there when he said pepula pew on top of the cafe with
- 5:38the croissant. Now we oh, yeah, I said, the cafe probably
- 5:42named and pew, right, And yeah, so now you'd have made it.
- 5:46Yeah you made it racist and yeah cenophobic. Yeah, you've changed the
- 5:55whole complex. Ago. We're gonna phase you out because you're messing up.
- 5:57Though. But Victory was looking as good as I would imagine he could look
- 6:01at twenty, trying to fill that body out. I don't know what people
- 6:06keep comparing him to. What is he supposed to look like at twenty His
- 6:11birthday was literally we said it on the show what three weeks ago? He
- 6:15just turned twenty years old. He looked as big as he possibly be at
- 6:19seventy five. Your question that they was, I don't know that you have
- 6:29to have training to get guys the ball. If you ever watched the NBA,
- 6:38A lot of these guys because they were the superstars or they were the
- 6:41guys who dominated the ball, they aren't real good passers of getting their teammates
- 6:50involved. Even when you watch Trey Young here in Atlanta, who has a
- 6:58high assist ratio, but his passes half of them are allyutes. It's not
- 7:05like he dazzles you with something between two people kind of passing. He's a
- 7:11good passer, can't even take that away from him. But it's more of
- 7:15he gets around the defender. He has capella and those guys he's going to.
- 7:18So if he has ten assists, probably six of them are from some
- 7:24kind of alleyut that he threw to somebody. But most of these guys don't
- 7:27know how to pass the ball to a big man. They definitely don't know
- 7:30how to pass the ball into the post. They look frozen. You post,
- 7:33I mean, first of all, it looked like they be wanting to
- 7:38ask their teammate, why are you posting up? But what are you doing?
- 7:41What play? Is that? I thought? Coach said, you know
- 7:44twenty one, you down there posting up? Is that allowed? Think about
- 7:49it. Behind I'm saying, check out the games, ladies and gentlemen.
- 7:55Look at when you're watching basketball on the pro level. How many times you
- 8:00do you in a game? Does a person actually post up to receive the
- 8:05ball. He might dribble himself down right to the block and turn around and
- 8:11shoot. But how many times you've seen the old John Stockton to Carl Malone
- 8:18magic, Whether my guy actually went down there, you went over there intentionally
- 8:22threw him the ball. So I don't know that they know how to even
- 8:26run that kind of play. Yet you could tell they don't know how to
- 8:30throw the ball in the post because it's a chess pass instead of a past,
- 8:33because you never you bounce pass in the post. Yeah, so I
- 8:37don't know that they're trying to phase him out as much as it's a bunch
- 8:41of guys. I don't know. I watched the whole game. I knew
- 8:45two people that the Spurs put on the court from other teams. The other
- 8:52probably seven eight players outside of one women and Yama that played. I had
- 8:54no clue who they were, and neither did the person to my right or
- 9:00the two people to my left. That was part of the conversation watching the
- 9:03game. Ain't nobody, ain't nobody coming to see you who wanted to do
- 9:13that? You knew they had the small forward forward osen Or He used to
- 9:20play with Lebron with Cleveland Osmond Osmond. Then he went back to to the
- 9:28nets. He's been on a couple of teams. He got traded around Osmond,
- 9:33and they it's just gonna be Victor Webbin Yama and the San Antonio.
- 9:37Basically it was it was he came off the bench, and uh there was
- 9:43McDermott. It's been around the league. He came off the bench. But
- 9:46the other players, I had no clue. I had never heard them being
- 9:50drafted or played. Beginning had a question. Well, speaking of knowing people,
- 9:56one of our listeners, Phil Cook says, good morning Wayne, mister
- 10:01Cook here, remember me, your accounting teacher at Auburn w d E.
- 10:07How about our basketball t war damn Eagle. I see, I didn't want
- 10:11to say that because he didn't already made us xenophobic whatever that is. And
- 10:16and I and and now we got an issue with France. And now you
- 10:18done said the the D word on air. That's the thing. You're good
- 10:24you can say. That's that's the tagline. Yeah, I know, I
- 10:28just didn't know I could say it on But that's the power of Auburn,
- 10:31right, you can break down c c Ruth. Now that's the power right
- 10:37there. Good morning till you feel thank you for all your good teaching.
- 10:41It came in handy when I left Auburn, but Auburn Tigers definitely UH is
- 10:48and and and Auburn is showing me with the I used them. A couple
- 10:52of days ago, I was doing an interview. People were asking me about
- 10:56the Falcon job, and I had one of my friends is I barely can
- 11:01discuss sports with him anymore because he is If him and the bad producer aren't
- 11:09paternal twins, they fraternal twins? What what? What is the two twins
- 11:16identical? And yeah, whatever they are, they are like talking to the
- 11:22same person. They are so about their emotion that they are blind. They're
- 11:28blind to even the reasoning. So he asked me about the Bill Belichick.
- 11:33I said, well, the Falcons, and I'm using this with Auburn because
- 11:37that's what Bruce Pearl did for Auburn in the time that I have been associated
- 11:45with Auburn, which would have been from eighty nine until the day now before
- 11:48that, I don't know much about the coach, but to me, Bruce
- 11:52Pearl gave the Auburn job some legitimacy that at even if he fails and leaves,
- 12:03people will look at the job as something it's okay to take right for
- 12:09Bill Belichick to even consider taking the Falcon job, or take the Falcon job,
- 12:15he legitimizes because the Falcons haven't had a legitimate coach from the standpoint that
- 12:24the work had already been done since Dan Reeves. So he brings back the
- 12:33legitimacy that hey, hot new assistance, It's okay to go to Atlanta.
- 12:37Hey, former super Bowl head coach, It's okay to go to Atlanta because
- 12:43that's what the Falcons and even the Hawks miss. So they keep getting kind
- 12:48of what is it, the sweet sweet and low they get Steven those kind
- 12:58of coaches and coach gets Stevie and they but they don't ever and we'll come
- 13:01back. We want that Dixie Chris. But from sometimes you need somebody,
- 13:05whether they win or not, to kind of it's it's like a beautiful woman
- 13:11if Commanchie greg comes in here with Holly Bearry right from that point on,
- 13:16all women see Commanchie Gray at somebody to date, she legitimized his ability to
- 13:24get women. At that point. We'll be back, well, he looking
- 13:26like he used to day that I only knew, But we'll be back right
- 13:28after this. It's more Sports Shock. She wil Chimney. I give if
- 13:33you feel me, I'm gonna filello my heart. And if you follow the

- 17:00Will I be poop on this shit? And from last year and your
- 17:03boats hanging back. Ain't Tommy Hill figure tacky taking no shot. I'm doing
- 17:07about to show up this one shock we ain't came to. Good morning,
- 17:11ain't tell you. As we roll into divisional weekend, Big Kenny Commanchi Greg
- 17:15the bad producer who during the break says, I need to throw out a
- 17:18disclaimer about warming your car up and leaving it warming in the morning when you
- 17:25get ready to leave, because he's afraid of auto theft. Uh. Then
- 17:29if that's what you're afraid of when you wake up, you already know your
- 17:33twenty twenty four mission. Twelve months from now. You need to be living
- 17:40somewhere else. If you live anywhere where you can't warm your car up on
- 17:47a twelve degree day without feeling like it's gonna get stolen out in front of
- 17:52your house, then you know your mission. Look as they say on mission,
- 17:59if you choose to accept it to be somewhere different. Because I didn't
- 18:04say warm your car up at the mall or warm your car up at the
- 18:10gas station. I said when you wake up any morning and go outside.
- 18:14But if you're living somewhere, that's my disclaimer that they's gonna steal your car.
- 18:19Wise warming up. Then you know your mission to move in twenty twenty
- 18:23four, in twenty twenty five. By next year, this next year,
- 18:26you should have another address half Atlanta, Zilo right now like you have to
- 18:30go to another address. But we are here to the light of the divisional
- 18:37round. We'll talk about those games. In the NFL. There are eight
- 18:41teams left. The Texans headed to Baltimore, the Chiefs headed to Buffalo,
- 18:48the Bucks from Sonny Tampa headed to Detroit, and the Packers headed to the
- 18:56forty nine Ers. We will get on soon. We were talking about coaches.
- 19:03One of our listeners talking about Auburn, the Auburn's men and women's team
- 19:07last night, Auburn beating Vanderbilt, the men up in Nashville, the women
- 19:15just a couple of days ago defeating the mighty LSU Tigers. Auburn basketball going
- 19:21strong. I was using the analogy of when I always, as an Auburn
- 19:26guy, was hoping they found a coach. And I know Bruce Pearl came
- 19:30with a little shadiness, but his reputation, he was a winner. He
- 19:34kind of from this point on to me, has solidified, at least for
- 19:38the next couple of hires that is o k to take this job. And
- 19:44I say that about even here in Atlanta with Georgia State. They just need
- 19:48somebody to make it okay. He just needs some big name and I'm not
- 19:53talking about somebody that's eighty about some big name is just say hey, I'm
- 19:57gonna go down here and coach at Georgia State. You don't know why.
- 20:00I don't know. His wife might have been just that will say hey,
- 20:03because from that point on you can go get Nick Saban to come coach at
- 20:10Georgia State. He don't have to win on national title. He would from
- 20:15that point have legitimized that it's okay to take it Georgia. It's the program
- 20:19job. It's the same thing with the Falcons, and I said, same
- 20:23thing with the Hawks. To me, they're always getting good. I can't
- 20:26criticize the resume of the coaches up until that point, but it's that old
- 20:32cutting your teeth right kind of The Falcon job is seen as something where you
- 20:37go cut your teeth that cowboy out getting You're not a cattleman, yet you're
- 20:44still cutting your teeth in the business. And that is true because it has
- 20:48happened at Georgia State because when back when they basketball program left, you yourself
- 20:52came in legitimized them, and they had a great run for like about fifteen
- 20:56years. They bought in Coach Hunter bought made a couple of n C A
- 21:00A runs. But because of the fact that Lefty Grizill, who was known
- 21:03in A C C being this guy who battled Dean Smith and all the other
- 21:08coaches at that time, came and made legitimized, legitimized Georgia State, as
- 21:14sports jock saying, and that can actually happen though, speaking of legitimacy,
- 21:18Uh, the flash Dwayne Wade statue outside of the new arena down there,
- 21:26or not a new arena, but a new name. Remember they had to
- 21:29change the name because Big Kitty had ran that scheme. What was called was
- 21:37selling something, uh some fake money ex or something I run so many three
- 21:44card bonding the whole Now this was this was the billion dollars where you stole
- 21:48a lot of money. Nick coined when it was we were trying to do
- 21:52something with uh it was something it was something uh something trader and they had
- 22:00to change the whole name. Yeah, because alleged crypto dot Com what it
- 22:04was something you named it. What was the name of that place? It
- 22:08was f t X. Funny how you forgot your company so allegedly it was
- 22:18And now the new name is A is a cybersecurity company ran by the same
- 22:25people. You have to understand, I'm like directly in charge of the day
- 22:29to day operations. I just sort of oversee certain projects. But Dwayne Wade
- 22:37uh, and no bigger name in Heat history. If they're going to be
- 22:44a statue outside as one point people called it Wade County, Dwayne Wade defines
- 22:51what it is to be Miami Heat. Uh. That's what they are known
- 22:57for. He is the one who kind of brought them to where they are
- 23:03now when you think about it. And they had some good teams, the
- 23:06early teams, and they had Tim Hardaway and Alonzo, so it's not like
- 23:10those teams were slacking, but they really took off when they grabbed d Wade
- 23:15as a rookie and brought in Shock And since then the story has been you
- 23:19don't want much, you don't want any of this smoke. It kind of
- 23:23set the foundation that no matter who comes here, right, you're gonna get
- 23:30their best. Even over the last couple of years we've seen heat heat teams
- 23:33go deep into the playoffs with guys you never heard of. It's like Jimmy
- 23:38Butler and this guy. And then it's like, well, who is the
- 23:42other guy that pat Riley has found? They had a no name coach.
- 23:48Eric Spostra went from twenty five years ago being the filmologist. He was the
- 23:53guy that hooked up the film Still they still call them filmology. What do
- 23:57they call the video cord? Yeah? Video, it's like Stewart airline.
- 24:07Yeah, that dig He went from the projector guy, you're right, to
- 24:11a video Oh that's the old term, right, the projected guy. That's
- 24:18how that's how he started to a man who now makes uh more money than
- 24:22anybody coaching. But we'll talk about d Wade on the other side of the
- 24:26break uh and some of the criticism he's falling under over the last couple of
- 24:30days. More the Sports Shock show right after this, the minimum of wage
- 24:33and I know the government administer age. So I guess we just played like
- 24:37the minas to say I bothered throwing some hot cars. The things we're seeing
- 24:42on the screen, it's not os with these from the hoods. So these
- 24:45dreams not far well from the dope voices the rock shots. But they can't
- 24:49cock cause without seeing cock cause, I guess John Boy, Wayne Born of
- 24:55The Sports John Show with Wayne Damn videos coming up next. Attention homeowners,

- 27:59at the air would at least twenty new ways to treat me like the Prencident's
- 28:02my sweet brother. Welcome back to the Sward Shock Shock, the Swart Shock
- 28:07Wayne came to Good Morning, Tell You on this Chili Thursday, headed into
- 28:11divisional weekend for the n f L. We left talking about d Wade.
- 28:18Dwayne Wade last week with his statue outside of the new named arena, did
- 28:25we find out that name of the new arena not the old one? Ft
- 28:29X went to case Casea Arena. Now you can go down and take your
- 28:34picture with d Wade in front of Casea Arena in Miami. But people was
- 28:41trying to go and take shots at d Wade because during the ceremony you could
- 28:48see that he had two of his nails painted, one red, one black,
- 28:51the heat colors, and people like Pastor Mace and the people that bad
- 28:59producer listen to because I've heard him bring in stories Cameron, who is a
- 29:06was a rapper or still raps. I don't know where Cameron is in his
- 29:08career now criticizing that d Wade wearing nail polish. It's like seeing Michael Jordan
- 29:18in lingerie. I don't see it to that degree at all. Those are
- 29:30two different images completely. D Wade first and foremost having a nail or two
- 29:34painted goes along with his fashionista sensibilities. If you ask if you ask me,
- 29:44it's like d Wade, if cam Newton came in and had heavy gloss,
- 29:49that nobody's tripping. But it did make me research something that I hadn't
- 29:55seen or had never looked up, and it was nail painting. And from
- 29:59what I researched, painting nails has been around since three thousand BC. It
- 30:07is credited to be started by the Chinese, and like a lot of things
- 30:12in our culture that we try to forget, it was created for men men
- 30:19along with wigs. Men were the first to wear wigs. Men also were
- 30:25the first to wear heels on their shoes. So things that in our culture,
- 30:30especially in twenty twenty three, those three things are things that we totally
- 30:37contribute to being feminine, were actually part of the human culture and produced for
- 30:47men. So before you start stoning people, Comanchi, Gregg Bad Producer Big
- 30:53Kenny, the trend just shifted to where we decided that those things painting nails,
- 31:02wearing wigs, which the wig is coming back from the men. And
- 31:06to me, if you're going to dye your hair as a male, you
- 31:12might as well get you some polish. You might as well commit That's how
- 31:18I really feel if you don't, don't don't be just don't, don't don't
- 31:22just be thrifty about it. Put the whole hand in. If you dye
- 31:27your hair and doing all this other stuff, boat tooks in your face,
- 31:32paint your nail, get you some of them, stack shoes, bring them
- 31:37back, holl love, you're doing it. If you're gonna wear the two
- 31:40pay and then you're gonna didn't go full speed with it. Don't don't try
- 31:44to hide it. Obviously it's still in men, because we still have select
- 31:48men who do these things where you guys stand on painted nails. Is it
- 31:56like Michael Jordan in lingerie? No no, now painted nails. I've been
- 32:06known to do a a clear coat with a manicure, but an actual color
- 32:10like a clear coat is a color. Well, yeah, so I guess
- 32:15I'm in that case. I'm pro painted nails. Then so command I've seen
- 32:20yours painted, so I don't have to ask you. Bad producer. Remember
- 32:25when we mentioned using your goths, you probably forgot it was hazy. It
- 32:30does golf day is in your black eyeliner, black nailish. It was kind
- 32:36of like Marylynd Manson without the Maryland like Jimmy T shirt Badue wear you with
- 32:46nail polish? Nah? Is it like Michael Jordan's in luxury? I don't
- 32:54even want to think about that. But no, and I'm saying that to
- 32:59put the next to each other, one is a person's hand with color on
- 33:04it, the other is mj It doesn't seem fall that Tuesday night. Well,
- 33:15there was a young player I've seen the video of young players on Duke's
- 33:20team. I didn't catch his name, but I didn't really pay attention to.
- 33:22People was making fun of him. He had all five of his with
- 33:24both his hands finger nails painted recently, and you know how that is with
- 33:30the rivaly UNC Duke. So everybody was making fun of that situation, so
- 33:35that it must be a tread now because you got ball players. Some of
- 33:37the college players are painting their nails. Kayler Williams played with painted nails,
- 33:44the Highsman trophy winner. Yeah, he cuddles with his puppy too. Christ
- 33:51Right, So you you you still now, you are still being machismo.
- 33:54And you a tribute. You you a tribute pain paintingails to what I don't
- 34:02attributed to anything. I just well, I said, and then you said
- 34:06he close up to his puppy. Now I'm saying he called his puppy,
- 34:08he jumped. I was going to continue some other things, but I just
- 34:12it's all. It's all the same thing, the painted nails, Michael Jordan,
- 34:17Lingerie, cuddling with your puppy. It's it's all that. It's a
- 34:22certain kind of person that bad producer can't get along with. Because one of
- 34:29our listeners says he can't do personally, he couldn't do like I did with
- 34:31the clear coat, so he go with the buff to get him to shine.
- 34:36Yeah, the buff, Yeah, yeah, because that's far more manly.
- 34:39Well people, you can get him buffed. Yeah, I'm saying,
- 34:44but hold on, clearcoat. She had not she or whoever the nail technician
- 34:50is, had to pull out a bottle with that thing on with aboff they
- 34:55just okay, And I could buff that with the of myself with them.
- 35:01Yeah, I mean I switched to both. But yeah, okay, I
- 35:06stick with it. If that's what you don't, I'm trying to change it
- 35:09up now. You know what I'm saying that that was this must be a
- 35:14shot done. I've done clear that's what you're in. This regional thing this
- 35:17man been in Atlanta since eighty seven, every later than that. But I'm
- 35:24just saying if he likes to somebody into something, well, I mean where
- 35:30they don't even know that life anymore. If you live in a town and
- 35:35you left it ten, that town does not vibrate through you. It does
- 35:43kill him. I didn't leave it ten though. Just just putting that out
- 35:50there. And some of you are just holding on the cities that you were
- 35:54for a couple of days. A couple of days. If you've you've been
- 36:00from somewhere for forty years, you ain't lived there. Your mail ain't went
- 36:04there. Oh no you ain't. No, you're not Boston. From Boston.
- 36:13When the last time you lived in Boston eighty six? But from down
- 36:16there, I'm from there. Yeah. I got the guy that come watch
- 36:20the games. His name is Elam. He was born and raised in New
- 36:24Jersey. But when the time he left from college until now, he's never
- 36:28lived in New Jersey. That was thirty eight years ago. But gee,
- 36:35I'm Jersey Jersey day all day. It's this brick Son South me Bill Belichick
- 36:45or Jim Harball. You're running a team, who do you want as a
- 36:49coach? I want Jim Harball. Jim Harball as a like for right now,
- 36:54like like, oh they are in their career. All we can do
- 36:58is today to day. I want hardball. I want Belichick Belichick, So
- 37:04two hardballs and a Belichick. The biggest collapse from last weekend Philly or the
- 37:08Cowboys Cowboys one game or over seven weeks, you know what I'm saying?
- 37:15For what they for where you thought that they would be. I would say
- 37:21the Eagles because they were ten and one at one point. I would say
- 37:24the Eagles. Also, man, I would say the Eagles from the same
- 37:29we were talking about just the one game though, because that was to me
- 37:31the biggest collapse. But uh, even with that, well, I think
- 37:36that in my opinion, the Green Bay team were was better than the Tampa
- 37:45Bay team, meaning that I wasn't surprised that Green Bay beat the Cowboys as
- 37:54much as I was surprised that Tampa Bay beat because the Eagles look like they
- 38:00quit. Yeah, they wouldn't even tackle anybody. I don't know what was
- 38:06I don't know what they were doing that that Oh that wasn't tackling. They've
- 38:08been in the five weeks collapse. I want to think about some of the
- 38:12things through the years. You taught me something going on in the locker room.
- 38:15Something happened, It look like they happened. But this weekend the Texans
- 38:17headed to Raven Country. Classic. You play indoors and I'm going to turn
- 38:24the temperature down. This is a classic, one of those games. The
- 38:29Ravens the games at four thirty. They say it's going to be about twenty
- 38:32degrees. The Texans play down in warm City and they play indoors. So
- 38:39this this this game definitely bowl's well for Baltimore and the style that Baltimore likes,
- 38:49that that hit you those run. But we'll talk about more of the
- 38:55games as the show goes on. We're gonna come back after the break talk
- 39:00about transfer portals, people getting on the ship and off the ship, of
- 39:06teams that they just played for, Jim Ersay, the Fab five together again.
- 39:13As the bad producer spoke about Jim Irsay, we're gonna talk about him
- 39:16as well at some point, the owners of the Coats. We'll be right
- 39:21back right after this. Some I don't think that I look away. I'm
- 39:30found with my head. Come tell me what is all? John't Bowl Wayne

- 42:21Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. The Sports Shock Wayne Againdy,
- 42:24good morning to you. We were talking about the biggest letdown of the season.
- 42:30Was it the Cowboys? Last week? Was it the Eagles? Speaking
- 42:34of the Eagles, the Hall of Famer Warren Sap throwing shots at Don Staley.
- 42:39Don Staley, who's from the Philadelphia area, was rocking a Phillies jersey
- 42:47a couple of nights ago when she was coaching Michael Vick Phillies jersey, which
- 42:52is interesting that she would pick Vic with only his short period there when there's
- 42:59so many the iconic Eagles jerseys to wear up there that played there a longer
- 43:05time, more defined. I think Vic is still more defined by his Falcon
- 43:09years, correct, people think Mike Vick yea more of his Falcon years.
- 43:15But uh, some playful fun between the two of them, where Warren's app
- 43:19basically saying, you know, since the Bucks put that beat down on them,
- 43:22how why would you wear that to the game and be the coach?
- 43:27And you know, I've talked about these new coaches in there there. It's
- 43:29interesting how the coaching ranks have changed how they dress when you go to the
- 43:37NBA. The NBA before COVID was some kind of sports jacket. At least
- 43:43it used to be shooting. It used to be suiting tie, and it
- 43:45went just having a sports jacket. COVID hit and now they're still on the
- 43:51COVID athletic something. You would think they would be at coach it. Yeah,
- 43:58that you would see them in actice in they wear it to the courts.
- 44:01The NFL has just made a true commitment to where you wear. The
- 44:08coaches wear team gear. But Tom Landry guys from the sixties, seventies,
- 44:15eighties, most of them wore suits. Even one of some of the best
- 44:22pictures I always see is Mike Dicker in that short sleeve button down. That
- 44:27used to be funny when he would take his jacket off, had the short
- 44:30sleeve button down. Because I never understood why they made the short sleeve button
- 44:35down, do you? I mean, whoever came because it was the button
- 44:38down? And then you got somebody had made the short sleeve button down.
- 44:42I was supposed to make making a sports jacket like easier, right, you
- 44:45know it's strict and hot, but to wear it by itself the Chicago thing
- 44:53you are. But don Slaty Staley the other night coach coaching her team in
- 45:00a Michael Vick jersey. Uh, And I've seen other coaches that. Now
- 45:07Kim Mochi someone of LSU. She just wears outrageous colors and things. I
- 45:13have seen coaches now start to wear more labels, and I've always thought as
- 45:17a I can be where you wear your own clothes. But if you're gonna
- 45:22wear labels, then you need to dress in our college stuff. You don't
- 45:30need to be coaching my team with Mosquino on you. You know what I'm
- 45:35saying. Now. If you want to wear your dresses and your skirts and
- 45:38your pantsuits and all that, that's fine. But if you're gonna wear logos
- 45:43stuff, then you need to put on whatever my college. What do you
- 45:46guys think about that? I don't want to be the only one where do
- 45:50y'all see that? I agree that, especially in this time of n I
- 45:55L and branding and advertising, you've got on a recognizable brand that people are
- 46:06paid to endorse. So is this an endorsement you're wearing it? Uh?
- 46:09It blurs the line between personal fashional fashion and style and making money on the
- 46:15side through advertising for that brand COMANCHI yeah, I agree that it's it's distracting
- 46:22and if you're supposed to in your your visibility, you're supposed to be promoting
- 46:30the school so I would it would be no logo, our logos or no
- 46:37logos at all. Yeah, I like to see a coach dressed up,
- 46:43I mean in the suit. Even now, even when I do my game,
- 46:45you see, I'm impressed when I see a coach, even in high
- 46:49school games, with a pseudo. So I like that. And now when
- 46:53when they say it, when you say it's distracting, I think that you
- 46:59have to be very careful with the language in rules and regulations like that,
- 47:05because distracting, like we said, Kim Maulki, where's loud colors and unique
- 47:13patterns, and someone might try and label that as distracting. I mean,
- 47:17look at what she's got on. It's distracting everybody. But that doesn't have
- 47:22any logos on it. So I'm against the logo part of it. But
- 47:28any other personal expression I believe is left up to the individual institution and those
- 47:32coaches. Well, there was a coach high school girls coach just recently.
- 47:36It's a big story on end of that. I'd bring it, but since
- 47:38we're talking about Opalasa High School, she's been terminated and she's suing the school
- 47:44because they said they didn't like the way she dressed. As far as And
- 47:47here's some of the pictures. I mean, we look at it doing the
- 47:51break, but here's here's some of her way she's dressed. They said that
- 47:54she dressed to like provocative or they thought as a coach. But she had
- 48:00was a winning team. Her team was winning and everything. But I'm quite
- 48:04sure they had spoken to her about it. And if she continued, I'm
- 48:08just going with the sensibility and the climate of today. Very few people get
- 48:14fired without warning. Yes, I doubt you. Yeah, I can't imagine.
- 48:19Oh you just fired for what you were tonight. So if I asked
- 48:22you to stop wearing shirt and clothes and you continue to wear it, then
- 48:27you left me no choice. Well that's some of her, some of her
- 48:30outfits, Producer, I don't want to see. I already know the kind
- 48:32of picture already without you showing me nothing. I knew it was tight as
- 48:37some woman with a big butt or some big breast. And you got that's
- 48:40the only thing that brought you to that story. No, I you saw
- 48:45that she was some kind of Megan thee Stallion type lady in some in pants.
- 48:49No, actually you know, and there you go. I don't do
- 48:55you see yourself in the mirror because we don't look at ourselves a lot.
- 48:59I'm just wondering, do you ever look at yourself? Because I met you,
- 49:02but maybe you haven't met yourself. And the one thing I learned in
- 49:08my a little short time on Earth, I'm not going to be roped into
- 49:13your conspiracy theory trying to show me child stuff to have me in court.
- 49:19So we'll be back. Serious, Yeah, we'll be back. And yeah,
- 49:23if he text me, I just he racing because I don't want to
- 49:27be in it. Come on, come on and win it all falls down,
- 49:35man, I promise. I'm so self conscious. That's why you always
- 49:38see me with at least one of our watches roll wats that drove me crazy.

- 51:44Wayne Gandy center cord on sports news gossip, blah blah blah blah blah,
- 52:07get away. I say for me, it was I just spoke shun.
- 52:22I'm notting again, don't you what about this? What shock show? I'm
- 52:35this what shock? Wayne came to Good morning. Tell you basketball season on
- 52:38the college level is hot and heavy. Uh. The Fab Five got together
- 52:45over the last couple of days. This is what the bad producer brought to
- 52:50me this morning. Uh. You remember the Fab Five out of Michigan,
- 52:54Chris Webber and the Gang Jaydon Rhodes. Uh. Michigan's current coach was one
- 53:01of the Fab Five, as Well, Juwan Howard, Jawan, jab Ray
- 53:06Jackson, and Jimmy King. They created the Fab five combination of basically at
- 53:14that time, five freshmen who had decided to go to the same college at
- 53:19the same time and unite and put their superpowers together. It's been a long
- 53:25time since they've been together as a group, mainly because some of the things
- 53:30that Chris Weber found himself into and was accused and in some ways caught,
- 53:39violated him from being on Michigan's campus. But with that being lifted, it
- 53:45allowed him and his teammates to get back together. The Bat Producer says,
- 53:50this is the age of they ushered in what BAT Producer well, a lot
- 53:57of the big shorts, more of the the hip hop culture as far as
- 54:00like that was added into the thing. Tattoos those, I think all that's
- 54:07changed once they started coming in. I don't remember I'm having tattoos. Well,
- 54:13it wasn't it there probably wasn't as visible, but that at that era,
- 54:16that's when it all like with the change of the uniform and just the
- 54:21black socks, the black shoes. I'm going, I'm out here balling now.
- 54:28I when you asked me that earlier, the only thing I could think
- 54:30about a little more, which was when I said a little more coming out
- 54:34a year or two was the Larry Johnson UNLV team. When you talk about
- 54:40the baggy shorts and kind of the brag of docious, they used to wear
- 54:45the big T shirt, Greg Anthony Anderson Hunt, Stacey Augman. In my
- 54:51mind they kind of ushered in. Chris dim picked it up because they had
- 54:54that fame of five freshmen. And I'm just I'm not telling you your opinion
- 54:59is wrong at all. Oh, because a lot of people credit that to
- 55:01be the spark. I just remember the running Rebels and that particular team that
- 55:08won the national title lost the next year. I really feel like they were
- 55:13just paying back Vegas on that second time around. Hey, the bill come
- 55:17do sometimes sometimes right, Sometimes I can make more money if y'all lose than
- 55:25if y'all win. So, but you're right, that is that time,
- 55:30the early nineties where fashion in the sport changed. There's another change going on
- 55:38now when you ask me about the Spurs game. Even last night, I
- 55:42went to the Hawk's Magic game Murray the Dante Murray hitting the game winning shot
- 55:47right there at the end. But I would say half of those players are
- 55:53almost back to the Larry Bird length short, right. It's just funny to
- 56:01sit here and watch, like so the three of us remember the short shorts.
- 56:07Gregg is a little younger, so his error was more of the big
- 56:12short. Now I just had to watch see John Stock didn't Yeah, this
- 56:16whole career and now to see that is getting them. It's not as far
- 56:21back as that, but it's way smaller right than it was ten twelve years
- 56:28ago. There. Well, they're actually wearing what would actually fit them.
- 56:34Well. See, the funny thing is, as you know, like I
- 56:36said, I try to refer back to what I know. You see the
- 56:38kids, which is very very little other than Crystal sugar versus Dumbino sugar.
- 56:51The kids, over the last five years they rolled their shorts. And you
- 56:54know, schools you can't you know, have that budget to be able to
- 56:58go with the new trends. So you know, over the years, everybody
- 57:00bought the big shorts because that was the thing. What I find out the
- 57:02kids they roll them up. Now it's harder to get the ball between the
- 57:06legs because the shorts actually are a little bit longer. And now they're trying
- 57:09to like you said, they're rolling them up, trying to make them shorter
- 57:13or to that length now where at one point in time they were down to
- 57:15the knees. So it is a trend that they are going back to the
- 57:19short shorts. And some of the NBA guys they roll theirs up. I
- 57:22know John Collins rolls his up, Murray rolls his up. Opposing teams,
- 57:28I watched their players. They put the shorts on, they cuff them over
- 57:31and pull them up that two inches a lot of them. I don't know
- 57:35about a crossover. I think they just want to show their thigh tattoo.
- 57:37Okay, you have one of those big Canni thigh tattoo. Come on,
- 57:45man, y'all, y'all don't like to be open, y'all. Y'all know
- 57:49I mean, I'm open, but not tattoo. Now. I have to
- 57:52catchy all at the beach somewhere. I can't like needles. I mean,
- 57:57well, they put you to sleep now, but that tattoo. Yeah,
- 58:00I didn't know that. I didn't notice the last week myself that they actually
- 58:05put you sleep for a tattoo. For tattoo. It must be because I
- 58:08think people they give you that kind you know how what do is they call
- 58:12it at the dentist, that twilight novocaane type. It's something kind of like
- 58:17they give you when this generation the stuff that you take your wisdom teeth out?
- 58:22What is that where you're not like you thought that was novacaine laughing I
- 58:29had my wisdom tea. They put you to you, they give you the
- 58:32they gave me ye. No, no, no, no, no,
- 58:35no, It's it's more than laughing gas. It's something where they puts you
- 58:39in a twilight. I'm from the general. Just shoot you in the gun.
- 58:44But it's not it's not what I it's not what you get for surgery,
- 58:47right, but it's not laughing gas. Mhmm. We'll have to research
- 58:54it. And but it's have you got your wisdom teeth? Yeah? Forty
- 58:59years ago? Okay do you no? Yeah, I had them. Okay,
- 59:05what did they give you? The needle to the gumbs? Okay,
- 59:07they put me to sleep. They put it on my face and I was
- 59:13talking crazy, I remember, And then you went to sleep. Yeah,
- 59:15but it's not asleep where I gotta wake nine hours to wake you up.
- 59:19It's kind of like as soon as the procedures over, buddy, buddy,
- 59:23come on. Yeah, you're gonna be up. But that's one of the
- 59:27new things. That's why guys can go and get the whole sleeve. If
- 59:34you watch them this season, they have no sleeve, right, and then
- 59:37they come back next season and someone they'll get like three people to work on
- 59:40them. Cover from to waste, put you to sleep. You couldn't take
- 59:45all that pain. I didn't know that we'll be back more. I didn't
- 59:49know it either until last week. I was talked that same I know a

- 1:02:36the runway, Schrder and shy Low deciding to take their talents to the runway
- 1:02:44over at Louis Vatan or Man for Real, who is the new face of
- 1:02:50design for Louis Vauton had The guys were walking the runway the other day in
- 1:02:55the fashion show, sporting what looks to be kind of like a hunting season,
- 1:03:05like either going hunting or fishing with the patterns in which Pharreal has come
- 1:03:10up with for this line. But the Sanders boys doing big things while their
- 1:03:19dad is still trying to find a defensive coordinator. Also a lot of different
- 1:03:24stories coming. We talked about Warren Sapp and Don Stately doesn't seem like primetime
- 1:03:30coach Deon Sanders is able at least right now, haven't been an official word
- 1:03:37that he's been able to hire Warren Sap the Hall of Famer we talked about
- 1:03:40earlier. Warren Sapp played at University of Miami, went on to play in
- 1:03:47the NFL most of his career for Tampa Bay, and then moved over to
- 1:03:51the Raiders. I want to say for about two years. He played with
- 1:03:53the Raiders at the end of his career. But Warren Sapp a country vis
- 1:04:00higher, to say the least, and I think a lot of what might
- 1:04:04be the pushback in this maybe the fact that Warren Sap doesn't have any coaching
- 1:04:16on his resume. Maybe with some previous coaching experience on his resume, it
- 1:04:25might be a easier higher. But to try to sell a booster or athletic
- 1:04:30director on that you're going to bring in a fifty one year old or fifty
- 1:04:38year old controversial coach that's never coached. When you say that's a hard sell.
- 1:04:49Would he be the first to me? It seems that Warren's off the
- 1:04:56field activities is the strongest barrier between him and coaching, because I don't think
- 1:05:04Prime had much if any coaching experience, especially at the college level, before
- 1:05:10he got his first so they they can make an argument for give it a
- 1:05:15shot it could work. Look what it did here kind of situation, but
- 1:05:18but not them. But Prime didn't come with the baggage. And that's what
- 1:05:23I'm saying. All of warren SAPs off the field antics is the biggest barrier
- 1:05:28to me, because he's not having the coaching experience would be something they'd be
- 1:05:31willing to overlook because of his football experience. And that's and that's what I
- 1:05:35was saying. I think the controversy, Yeah, that part. I don't
- 1:05:39think he'll ever be able to outlive that though, or he would have to.
- 1:05:44As we said earlier with the Falcons, he had to go cut his
- 1:05:45teeth a year or two somewhere. Yeah, and then I can kind of
- 1:05:49validate that he's manageable. But I don't want any on the job training,
- 1:05:55no, uh, and to just find out that he hasn't corrected that part
- 1:05:59of it his life bad producer. Well, I mean, I don't know.
- 1:06:03I'm sort of up in there. I think if he went and done
- 1:06:09what he had to do, Dion asked him to go and finish his degree,
- 1:06:13that's one thing. And he was showing that he was sincere about wanting
- 1:06:16to get out here and help coach and I mean it could be a change.
- 1:06:19I mean I think we should. He should have a chance on opportunity.
- 1:06:24There's a lot of people that you know that's out there coaching. They
- 1:06:27probably some things just don't do that. Don't. Don't don't. It's time
- 1:06:30for you to get out of that box where you use other people just as
- 1:06:36your justification for because I already know how that sentence. There's some other coaches
- 1:06:42out there who's passes this and that we're talking about specifically Warren Sap, Well
- 1:06:47he's not as he's a high profile who and Warren Sapp and what Warren Sapp
- 1:06:53has done. Can you hire that to be the first job at a major
- 1:06:59union university. As far as the skills and the teaching the players, yes,
- 1:07:05he I think he can. The off the field thing, what about
- 1:07:09you comanchie based on for the all the football reasons, it would be a
- 1:07:15great hire. You know, if if coach Sanders is trying to improve the
- 1:07:23defensive line at the very least, then you bring in a Hall of Fame
- 1:07:27defensive lineman to do that. But on the college, especially on the college
- 1:07:31level, because this is going to be someone who's interacting possibly with other students
- 1:07:38outside of the players. The buzzword being domestic violence that is going to that
- 1:07:46gets people up in arms, that gets people like worrying, asking questions.
- 1:07:53So it hasn't been directly addressed by him, and the school is mom about
- 1:08:00it. So there are there's a lot there. It's very cloudy to make
- 1:08:04this higher. Are you giving him the job? Me? I would,
- 1:08:10I would give him the job, and it would he would have to be
- 1:08:13on a short leash as far as how this is, like, if anything
- 1:08:16falls out of line, then i gotta let him go because I'm putting my
- 1:08:21reputation and job on the line by bringing you in, Big Kenny. No,
- 1:08:29I'm not giving him the job because uh just it's too much to risk
- 1:08:38with such an unknown variable for me, and I'm I'm with you. I'm
- 1:08:44not giving you the job. The box that we're standing on is already wobbling.
- 1:08:53I'm looking for a defensive coordinator. My expectations are even higher next year
- 1:09:00because I can write this off as this was my first year and this is
- 1:09:05not just domestic violence with Warren Shap. Warren Shapps is a alcoholic. Warren
- 1:09:13Shap has been in a drug addict Warren Sap has been someone who's been in
- 1:09:20trouble with the law on a physical level. He's also been someone who's been
- 1:09:28accused of sexual assault, also someone with domestic violence. And also your biggest
- 1:09:34encounter is you was hiring some ladies of the night and not paying him.
- 1:09:40And you're gonna take this man who has never coached and all of that and
- 1:09:47let him coach your son. Okay, we'll go at you in bad producer
- 1:09:57that y'allould give him the job. I didn't know all this other stuf of
- 1:10:00what do you mean? This is Warren Sap. You know that it stopped
- 1:10:03with what you well, people, people change. That's the world, Warren.
- 1:10:15If Warren Sapp went to some smaller school and coached a couple of years,
- 1:10:17at least I can see that you can handle that pressure. And I
- 1:10:21don't think the last thing I think Colorado needs right now is more bravado,
- 1:10:27more attitude than machiz mo. I need you to hit the ground running.
- 1:10:32I can hire t o t Terrell Owens is a colorful character, and I
- 1:10:36can hire him to be the receiver coach. I'm not telling you I wouldn't
- 1:10:41hire colorful people, but none of his stuff was something Based on that information,
- 1:10:45I can't hire. You gotta go, you gotta go to h to
- 1:10:49firing. I'm not telling you some colorful stuff. I believe people, or
- 1:11:00more than that, I think people can change. I think different situations.
- 1:11:02I'm saying in the case with SAP, I just it's too much for you
- 1:11:09not to have it. I don't even know if you can handle the pressures
- 1:11:11of coaching. Coach SAP. COACHAP, what do you think about the three
- 1:11:14sacks line? Gave up? Hey, get out my face, you slap
- 1:11:17somebody you never know, you never know with him, so and I'm for
- 1:11:23warned. Getting the job, I'm not saying Warren, but I would require
- 1:11:27just like a lot of coaching, go somewhere else, get you a couple
- 1:11:30of years of coaching, and then come back. It could be a grad
- 1:11:32assistant or you come here in shadow Jackson State, Jackson STATEA give you a
- 1:11:38shot, you know, come here in shadow someone but to put you as
- 1:11:43the coach. I don't know if y'all understand what that entails. He got
- 1:11:49a couple of systems. He be on recruit trip or a SAP on a
- 1:11:55recruit trip, but but bad producer you're making all of the these concessions for
- 1:12:03unknown ability. That's all. As we go to break, I want you
- 1:12:11to focus on you're going Being a Hall of Fame player doesn't translate to coaching.
- 1:12:23They asked Doc Rivers that last night watching Lebron James Doris Burke on ABC,
- 1:12:30what do you think Lebron James will coach? And Doc said, heck
- 1:12:33no, he doesn't believe Lebron James has the patients that most great players do
- 1:12:42not have the patients coach. He'd letting you know that he was a good
- 1:12:46player, but these guys that was considered great, they don't have the patients.
- 1:12:53And when you look at NBA coaches, most of them have been former
- 1:12:57players, but they was always well man right, They were never Superman.
- 1:13:02They were Aquaman on their team. Because you have to have a certain amount
- 1:13:06of patience. So y'all talking about Warren sapp as though you have you are
- 1:13:12bona fide sure that he can coach or could he just play? Those are
- 1:13:19two different things, like coaching and playing is two different things. It's great
- 1:13:27to have played to coach, but that don't mean you know how to coach
- 1:13:32just because you play. We'll be back more than Sports Shock Show. Right

- 1:16:39birthday is your birth your vote is your both birthday? Birthday, okay,
- 1:16:57birthday, Welcome back to this war shock shower. I'm this wart shock wing.
- 1:17:02Can't the good morning tell you out there and listening Land, I had
- 1:17:06so many thoughts going through my head with the Warrensap thing, because it's so
- 1:17:11that's so America. Now, it's just you know, this guy has plundered
- 1:17:16Wall Street and supported half the bunny ranches, but let's make him president.
- 1:17:27Yeah, I mean, if we ain't living in some times where y'all just
- 1:17:31minimize owner. Well, he doing it right today. That's that thing I'll
- 1:17:36be telling you about only fans on Saturday night and then church on Sunday.
- 1:17:41It just don't work with how I see it. But y'all I can see
- 1:17:45that. People really, why that guy? You know, I'm gonna go
- 1:17:48bankrupt, I'm marry nine women, I'm gonna cheat on all fifty of them,
- 1:17:55this and that, and okay, good for him. Why wouldn't he
- 1:18:01That part's more important that all the other stuff he did? Really keeping it
- 1:18:06real, that's how we got the last president. Okay. And then what
- 1:18:13I ain't lied about, I was gonna rob you. That's how that's how
- 1:18:17people, oh man, yeah, right, so, and that's what you're
- 1:18:21getting so I don't understand. And it's how there's other Hall of Fame players
- 1:18:30that you can go hire to coach. You call them up to if you're
- 1:18:33saying they don't need any experience, All they need is to have been a
- 1:18:39Hall of famer, right, and and that kind of how were no experience
- 1:18:45but the willingness you know, right, he Oh you want to coach,
- 1:18:47Yeah, I'm a hall of famer. I can come and do this get
- 1:18:51all about everything else. And just now, most of those guys that have
- 1:18:55that they can individually coach a lot of them do they in the camps they
- 1:19:00have d line coaches that that coach them individually, have quarterback. But you
- 1:19:04guys just like, oh, this week, he say he gonna be good,
- 1:19:12so let's let him coach. Isn't that kind of what the perspective of
- 1:19:16these two were. It seemed like it. It seemed like because they said
- 1:19:21they give him the job. That's so, I guess that's a bout of
- 1:19:25confidence. Yeah, I give him the job. God, I changed my
- 1:19:30mind after pressure information based on new information, change your mind. But you
- 1:19:40didn't know about no, I don't. I didn't I knew the football stuff
- 1:19:45about him. I don't know. Like if if he knew, if Deanna
- 1:19:51Sanders knew him on a on a personal level and was still willing to hire
- 1:19:55him, then that that's one thing. But for me, I'm looking at
- 1:19:59just the football stuff and making that higher. But I mean, the personal
- 1:20:04stuff does matter. And with all of that, that was all that information
- 1:20:09provided. I can't trust that that is that is way more unpredictable than I
- 1:20:15thought. A couple of birthdays here today and going into the weekend. Kevin
- 1:20:18Costner sixty nine years old. Dave Bautista, who really rivals the Rock as
- 1:20:26far as movie production when you talk about playing a lot of roles, not

- 1:20:33job. When I say that, a guy who was in the WWE,
- 1:20:35WWF, I don't know which. He probably was in the WWF and then
- 1:20:43the WWE. It was he started in the WWE. Yeah, he just
- 1:20:45came in the same time as John Cena and it was the WWE by the
- 1:20:50nd okay, but it was the WWF for a long time, right,

- 1:22:15He was wearing the watch for charity. I can't did y'all hear this story.
- 1:22:20I don't know whether he was flying in or out, but they said
- 1:22:26he didn't declare the watch, but he wore the watch to take over to
- 1:22:30auction it for his charity. That he runs over there, okay, because
- 1:22:36I was getting confused as to why they thought he should have to declare his
- 1:22:41personal watch when going through customs, but he was taking it to auction it,
- 1:22:47which is or if something they were saying he didn't pay the taxes.
- 1:22:50I don't know if he bought it there or I got it look more well,
- 1:22:55if he just bought it into the country then auctioned it off and then
- 1:23:00the proceeds back then there were no taxes on it because they didn't know that.
- 1:23:03I guess he was going to auction it. So yeah, very It's
- 1:23:08almost did somebody call because why would you know that? On its voice?
- 1:23:13Did he take the watch there? That's why I was trying to listen to
- 1:23:15you said he took the watch there? Or he purchased it there? Do
- 1:23:17you have this up? Yeah? Said he was. He was bringing the
- 1:23:21watch yea, he bought for the event, and it was going to be
- 1:23:24auctioned off and he was supposed to he was going to pay any prepay any
- 1:23:31taxes for the item, but the authorities could not find a working credit card
- 1:23:40machine, and then they took him to an ATM for him to withdraw cash,
- 1:23:45but the withdrawal limit was too low and the bank was closed, and
- 1:23:49so they went to a second credit card machine that worked, and he paid
- 1:23:54the tax for the item. Wow. And the only thing I can think
- 1:23:59is somebody had this, had somebody had to snitch of why they would even
- 1:24:04check it now? Yeah, because I don't know I was going to purchased
- 1:24:12it or he didn't pay the taxes discredit those people and assume that they're not
- 1:24:16doing their jobs and aware of all of these kinds of things when people make
- 1:24:20But if you've made some sort of agreement that I'm going to prepay the tax
- 1:24:26on this, then I'm sure when you arrive they probably want to see at
- 1:24:29the very least your receipt for this item that you said you were going to
- 1:24:32prepay tax on before you take it into this country. So, but,
- 1:24:35but customs is weird where you you can't you only can take the watch you
- 1:24:42got on your person when you go in another country. No, no,
- 1:24:45I didn't. I didn't think so that's not it if you're in Munich.
- 1:24:49Yeah, I don't know how just I got to read up on this.
- 1:24:51I've never heard of somebody. How did you know whether you just lauded or
- 1:24:56didn't buy it? Yeah, I didn't know. You had to Claire you
- 1:25:00watch. I thought it was good the country, Yeah right, I thought
- 1:25:05it was like when you leave, you got to declare what you're taking out.
- 1:25:09We'll be back with more to the Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 1:28:09Welcome back to the show. On this what shock Wayne Candy, good
- 1:28:12morning, tell you our divisional weekend is upon us. Earlier we talked about
- 1:28:16the Texans and the Ravens and really focused when you look at that game,
- 1:28:23Ravens having a week off, able to get healed to playing at home,
- 1:28:28they on paper have the better team. The Texans and their new quarterback TJ.
- 1:28:35CJ. Stroud, Demico Ryan, the new head coach. I just
- 1:28:40put this into that category similar to last week with the Dolphins, where everything
- 1:28:46that the Ravens work for uh is in their favor. You work for the
- 1:28:54ability to catch indoor and warm weather teams and bring them outside. You That's
- 1:29:04really what you are trying to do when it gets down to you know,
- 1:29:10I'm not saying it's a direct correlation to that is always going to prevail.
- 1:29:15That's why I said, because you can have some teams, like a team
- 1:29:19that plays in the coal but if they play in the cold and they still
- 1:29:23like the Colts, some of Peyton Manning's failures was that, yeah, we
- 1:29:28play in the we're playing a coal city, but we play indoors in a
- 1:29:31coal city. Yes, So teams like the Patriots kept inviting them, no,
- 1:29:36come on, Hoe and feel this real cool risk and see how you
- 1:29:40can throw the ball. Then it's just how I look at this game out
- 1:29:45that and that's why I think the Ravens would win even on a neutral surface.
- 1:29:49But I really give them the credit of this win based on taking a
- 1:29:54team that is from a climate they can't produce the kind of temperature and we're
- 1:30:02not used to Their kicker is not used to kicking. Worried about the win.
- 1:30:10They probably had to hire somebody to go up there and coordinate with them,
- 1:30:14because that's a skill. Where you want the ball, you have to
- 1:30:16tell the coach or divots in the field based on if the field is real
- 1:30:20grass or not. When you don't artificially, you ain't worried about your steps.
- 1:30:25When I stepped, will my heel go down in the grass? All
- 1:30:29that goes into that game. So I would take the Ravens in that game.
- 1:30:32The Chiefs headed to the Bills. What a rivalry this is becoming,
- 1:30:35Josh Allen. If you ever wanted some revenge, this is the day to
- 1:30:41take it against the Chiefs. I just don't think the Chiefs offense is consistent
- 1:30:45enough to win this game. I would take the Bills in that game.
- 1:30:50Someone you said was on the line talking about Jordan Love made Dak. Yes,
- 1:30:57well, and I always wonder when people say that, how did Jordan
- 1:31:00Love make Dak look anything? Said? Jordan Love made Dak look like a
- 1:31:05rookie. I guess by throwing the interceptions and Jordan what Jordan Love had to
- 1:31:11do with it? Well, I thought Jordan playing quarterback. Maybe by comparison
- 1:31:16you play defense too, No, I didn't. I thought he's a quarterback.
- 1:31:19Well, by comparison with them, that's not an actual thing, no
- 1:31:24quarterback rating. And because you're not playing against the defense I'm playing against.
- 1:31:29The only thing we're doing is playing in the same game. But you're not
- 1:31:34playing against the defense I'm playing against, and I'm not playing against the defense
- 1:31:36you're playing. Okay, does that you understand? Yeah, I see what
- 1:31:43you're saying. So, how did Jordan Love make the green Bay defense?
- 1:31:50May have made Dak look like a rookie, yeah, but Jordan Love did
- 1:31:55not. Well. Well, do you think that some of that goes to
- 1:31:59the marketing sports and how they say the Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love versus
- 1:32:03the high powered flying Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott And then people hear that,
- 1:32:11and then when they go to assessing what they saw on the field, they
- 1:32:16use the same keywords and talking points. That's talking points that they've heard before.
- 1:32:23Do you think that's possible. No, I know it's posible. It's
- 1:32:26the reality, sadly, but I'm just here to make sure y'all grass that
- 1:32:30Jordan Love and Dak Prescott didn't do anything but shake hands before the game.
- 1:32:36If they did that and after, nothing about them playing each other had anything
- 1:32:43to do with stopping the other person. It's like a golfer. You're not
- 1:32:49actually playing against the other golfer, you playing against the course. Is that
- 1:32:56not how it works? Babbage's correct? Okay, So, but I don't
- 1:33:00have nothing to do with you. How did I stop you? But you
- 1:33:03can get in someone's head mentally, that's that's and even in any sport,
- 1:33:09I mean even in golf, if you get into someone's head and they take
- 1:33:13take their mind off of the course. And I was on hoole nine and
- 1:33:16you was on hold two, how were you getting in my head? Well,
- 1:33:19I'm saying, if I'm in the same group with you, if I'm
- 1:33:23if I'm in the final group, if I'm in the we if we're playing
- 1:33:26for the on the final day and we're in the final group each other,
- 1:33:29and I'm going head to head against you if I'm out driving you by twenty
- 1:33:31or thirty yards, sometimes that can creep in your mind, like man,
- 1:33:34he hitting it from well, I'm just letting you know, for being on
- 1:33:39the football field, what the receiver on the other team is doing has nothing
- 1:33:45to do with me blocking this defensive tackle. He didn't get in my head.
- 1:33:51He didn't do anything right. We ain't even interact. I got to
- 1:34:00warm up late, so we never even dapped each other up, and they
- 1:34:04beat us. So I didn't go to shake hands after the game. I
- 1:34:08ran onto the locker room and I just left your wedding. I just I
- 1:34:15know how people shape it up, because that's how the media shapes it up.
- 1:34:17I'm not ignorant to how people get to that point. It is always
- 1:34:21makes me laugh when they put people against people quarterbacks. It is not a
- 1:34:30Brady Manning rivalry. They don't actually compete against each other. But I know
- 1:34:41everybody is drunk on the quarterback thing where it makes. It makes for good
- 1:34:45media, I guess. But the Green Bay defense didn't make that Prescott looked
- 1:34:54like it was year one. Now that part was that part was true.
- 1:35:00I'm sorry, Commancha, I know you don't like to talk about these sensitive
- 1:35:02subjects here on the show about the Cowboys losing. Now the Packers will take
- 1:35:08on the forty nine ers. Jordan Love will have nothing to do with rock
- 1:35:12Party. They actually will not have anything to do with each other on the
- 1:35:18field, but they will be in the same game. Got me, yes,
- 1:35:26Okay, they will be in the same game. That's hard to compartmentalize
- 1:35:30that they're the same game. But they have nothing to do with each other.
- 1:35:33But it's not basketball in that game. And the Bucks and the Lions,
- 1:35:42we'll talk about those a little later in the show. The coach owner
- 1:35:46Jim ersay medical report came out that he had an issue back in December.
- 1:35:51The bad producer Commander Greg want to laugh about him. Maybe Odean is Odeine
- 1:35:59something to laugh about. They were laughing this morning about Jim Orsay, and
- 1:36:03possibly he was kind of like that that it could be a remember that you
- 1:36:15was having that he survived, but he was kind of laughing by that time.
- 1:36:17I went almost to the light and we laughed because and we laughed because
- 1:36:24it was great. He had some nar kids. He said, they said
- 1:36:29it was it was a respiratory illness. They said they said it was a
- 1:36:33respiratory ever comes out, it might have been an I'm saying, and they
- 1:36:38had nar kids would make me he just mean I stopped breathing. Probably D.
- 1:36:45Let me ask you a question, because a lot of times we do
- 1:36:49hear these stories and they classified as O DAN and old Dean A lot of
- 1:36:56time is seen as a person's weakness to the drug. You can O D
- 1:37:04without trying to O D. Yes, yes, right now, you can't
- 1:37:11O D without doing the drug. So I'm not removing that. But because
- 1:37:15I O D doesn't mean that I actually, in that moment was trying to.
- 1:37:19O D helped me out. We can look at it like you know
- 1:37:25with with Prince it was an accidental overdose of fentanyl, and the same thing
- 1:37:34happened with with Michael Jackson with Heath Ledger, like it can happen accidentally.
- 1:37:40We've seen it. I just wanted to make sure because the majority of that
- 1:37:43but I know a lot of people they stamped at O D as though everybody
- 1:37:46that O D went into the room was like okay, don'tbody to do it.
- 1:37:53This is it, this is the night. But most most overdose cases
- 1:37:57are the result of not calculating properly the dosage, or being used to a
- 1:38:05certain potency and then getting something a little stronger than you're used to and doing
- 1:38:14too much kind of thing. So or the body you might have based on
- 1:38:17what you had done that day, right, whether it's ead or whether you
- 1:38:23had had some other drinks or you know, you wasn't you wouldn't credit you
- 1:38:29wasn't adding in that you had a cold, right, right, and thought
- 1:38:32you could still do the same amount. Right. So I was just wondering
- 1:38:36because we see it, and and I'm always like, well, that doesn't
- 1:38:41mean that Jim or say was in there. Actually we do know Jim.
- 1:38:44Jim has raised his hand that he likes a little, he likes a part.
- 1:38:49But now I was he has never denied that, and you like a
- 1:38:53man to tell the truth. And now now back back to when we were
- 1:38:58talking about odd will sap, I think I don't know if he odd ever,
- 1:39:02but I'm saying, if a man can own a team and be that
- 1:39:09kind of guy, is it any different from a guy coaching a team and
- 1:39:14being that kind of guy. Yes, okay, m hmm okay. As
- 1:39:23a parent, it is different, isn't it. The rules you have for
- 1:39:26you and the rules you might have for your daughter is two different rules.
- 1:39:30That's true. Most parents parent that way. I would imagine, Yeah,
- 1:39:38Mama, smoke a pack of day she mad as you had one. Had
- 1:39:44one. We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this. Thus

- 1:42:40This one shock Wayne Candy, watch out this March. There are rumors floating
- 1:42:46that the powers of the beer workers might come into a fact. Now,
- 1:42:53I don't know if this is just at the yearly scare tactic. Remember typically
- 1:42:58every year there is some economic scare tactic. One year it was tomatoes,
- 1:43:05one year it was avocados. Have you all noticed that it's been a trend,
- 1:43:11like it's something every year that they try to scare you that is not
- 1:43:15going to happen. One year it was avocados, the next year was lintas.
- 1:43:25No, well, the beer workers are rumored to be going on strike
- 1:43:32in March, and that might shut down a big portion of your ability to
- 1:43:43get beer. Wait until after the super Bowl, and I was going to
- 1:43:47I was going to ask, what is so, what's the agreement? If
- 1:43:50I really wanted to hang you out over a barrel? What is what is
- 1:43:55the agreement that's preventing me from walking out? Now? Well, we got
- 1:43:59to make sure that everybody, give everybody time to get their finances right to
- 1:44:04be able to go staying a strike. And a lot of you just came
- 1:44:09off of Christmas and New Years and spending a little money, and we want
- 1:44:14the perks of whatever the super Bowl bonuses were gonna be, and then we'll
- 1:44:17go on strike. But what what if? What if the company go no,
- 1:44:21no, leave you back? I'm saying that because this is generally strikes
- 1:44:31her about attrition and you try and see who can hold out the longest.
- 1:44:35Well, I know part of your holding out is the union getting together to
- 1:44:41see if we can send out the necessary rations to hold everybody over. We'll
- 1:44:45know, we'll just block that supply line and I bet you'll be back before
- 1:44:50before we're gonna the union ukn't their union? Then whatever's replacement. No,
- 1:45:01it's you. I mean, well, it's Union. I mean you got
- 1:45:05it's twelve plants. What they're saying landaus and bush plants across the United States.
- 1:45:10That is gonna this is gonna fect five. I said, Kenny might
- 1:45:13be a dry march for you, man, you might want to Well,
- 1:45:15you know there's other ber, there's other beer twenty four So trust me,
- 1:45:24I'm sure the stuff that I used mostly ain't going on. Uh. The
- 1:45:29transferred portal is hot and heavy. Caleb Towns of Alabama one of the big
- 1:45:34names of the last couple of days. Caleb Towns, young man here from
- 1:45:39Mill Creek called from his high school games. He was a second team All
- 1:45:43American over at Alabama. Uh. No word of where he's transferring to yet.
- 1:45:47Speculation is he will make his way back to U g A. I
- 1:45:53think a lot of these guys are going to that other team that they wanted
- 1:45:57to go to. But as we have learned earned with the transfer portal,
- 1:46:02I think it's really just free agency. I think you're going to see this
- 1:46:06until the NCAA puts something down. Is free agency for n IL deals and
- 1:46:14coaches different than years past, years past. I think it used to be
- 1:46:18fifty to fifty a player would go to a school for the school and the
- 1:46:24coach. Now it seems to be more eighty twenty, where a guy really
- 1:46:30is going to whatever school that is not for the school, but for that
- 1:46:34particular coach. As soon as Nick Saban says that he's retiring for a little
- 1:46:40while, Isaiah Bonn transfer porter, Caleb Downs transfer porter. You said there
- 1:46:45was a whole bunch of guys from Arizona, right who just like, what
- 1:46:50did you say, like thirty nine players but it was all within a nine
- 1:46:57players in thirty minutes. So well, and some of them were just waiting
- 1:47:00to see who they hired. Uh No, it was the coach Jedfish took
- 1:47:05the job at Washington, right, So the okay, So that's yeah,
- 1:47:13those players were there for and some of them go with that coach right to
- 1:47:17wherever they go. Yes, they can't like in that word like Caleb Williams,
- 1:47:24that's Travis Hunter. That's how Travis. Now. Part of what I
- 1:47:30wonder with this transfer portal thing is Okay, say, for instance, a
- 1:47:34Caleb Downs goes to Alabama and then Saving Lee's and now Caleb Downs wants to
- 1:47:44go back to Georgia. Possibly didn't they try to recruit him before he went
- 1:47:48Yes to Alabama. But now so the guy that they gave his space to,
- 1:47:54where does that guy go or does he come in and jump that guy
- 1:47:57and become a starter? Oh yeah, are you're going to start? Yeah?
- 1:48:00That guy go ahead, And so that that person who might transfer.
- 1:48:05And and I think that that's the unfortunate part is I never changed my mind
- 1:48:11on you, Georgia. I never wavered in my commitment to you. When
- 1:48:15you came and said come with me, I committed and I honored that.
- 1:48:18But that guy only got that offer because when Caleb told Kirby said, I'm
- 1:48:23gonna go with me, right, And that's what I'm saying. So the
- 1:48:26one who didn't you, but you wasn't recruiting me until you find out you
- 1:48:29were getting Caleb. So you ran to me in the last minute. I've
- 1:48:31already and I've been here, serviceable as a player for the university. And
- 1:48:38now a guy who may be gone. But I was just saying George though
- 1:48:41Kirby. So now that he don't call him say he's coming back, Hey,
- 1:48:45you're happy, So I'm I'm had to go and that and that's unfortunate.
- 1:48:49I'm saying for the guy who was really committed. I've always wanted to
- 1:48:54be a Georgia guy. I wanted to play for Georgia. Stay there.
- 1:48:57That's that's one thing. Stay there and commit and play and make And that's
- 1:49:00the thing that the problem with me is these guys they're leaving for the wrong
- 1:49:03reason. No, I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying. No,
- 1:49:06I understand what you're saying. But I'm saying that if you are that kid,
- 1:49:10and you commit it, and you're saying that you really love Georgia,
- 1:49:13regardless of who come in, stay and just possibly not you selling Wolf tickets,
- 1:49:18just like Caleb Downs and everybody else. If you leave, possibly not
- 1:49:24play, What do you mean possibly Well, I'm saying, if Caleb Down
- 1:49:27comes in and takes my spot, what do I do? Just stay on
- 1:49:30the team and hope to get that would mean that he's better than you.
- 1:49:32Yeah, you go compete you out there, it's still competition. Yeah,
- 1:49:36this is not signing blood. Well, it just seems like that would be
- 1:49:43an advantage because you're coming in from some place. Yeah, but I'm saying,
- 1:49:46look at it as we go to break every year there's a new class
- 1:49:51of people coming to this school to compete. Because you thought you you're the
- 1:49:57junior running back and you thought you was going to be the starter next year.
- 1:50:02But then I go and I got Emmitt Smith to Comemmt Smith come and
- 1:50:08take your job. Yeah, Caleb come and took promise him the job.
- 1:50:11I just told her. I just recruited him to come here. So you're
- 1:50:14always under that knife. As far as uh, it's only your you have
- 1:50:18to make it your job. There is nothing given. Yeah, because he
- 1:50:21went to Alabama down there and he took somebody somebody as a fresh freshman.
- 1:50:26We'll be back more than a sports jock show right after this. They won't
- 1:50:42don't go awayne board of the sports Josh Hill with Wayne Gambidius coming up next.

- 1:51:51And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy, It's time for a
- 1:51:58school door. We put a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle
- 1:52:04on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Candy Dry Slow Homie, Dry Slow,
- 1:52:27Homie. You never know, Homie, let me say, homie, you
- 1:52:33need to padry slow homie, my homie. Mollyes welk. Back to this
- 1:52:38one shot show, This one shot Wayne Ken. Dwight Goodton number sixteen will
- 1:52:44be retired by the Mets on April the fourteenth. He luckily lived long enough
- 1:52:49to let the Mets retire his long lamp number. Also, Darryl Strawberry number
- 1:52:57eighteen will be on the first, So I thought they would have did it
- 1:53:03together since they were. But maybe they are not as good a friends or
- 1:53:06as today as they were back when they both played for the Mets. But
- 1:53:13ones on the fourteenth and ones on June first, Dwight Goodton and Darryl Strawberry
- 1:53:19to players that definitely had their hand up to find themselves in the Hall of
- 1:53:26Fame, but got derailed for some of those Warren Sap issues that really threw
- 1:53:31them off. Do you think they didn't do the same day to even if
- 1:53:35they I mean, you were saying, maybe they're not as close as they
- 1:53:40used to be, But maybe that's just I'm going to give you your whole
- 1:53:44day to do your thing and then I'll have my whole day instead of comparing
- 1:53:48us or dividing the attention, will just if they retire number, would they
- 1:53:57do multiple numbers at the same on this same day? I oh, I
- 1:54:02don't know. I was My speculation was just from this whole bulls ring of
- 1:54:06honor and nobody showed up. It also was that we knew these two players
- 1:54:13as a combo back in the when they were with the Mets. You said
- 1:54:18one of them name, You said the other one name. They came in
- 1:54:21as I don't know if they both were rookies at the same year, but
- 1:54:25they might have been right behind each other, but they was joined at the
- 1:54:29hip, and it's like it was one of those Michael Jordan Scottie Pippen things
- 1:54:35that if you was going to put them in something together, you could see
- 1:54:39them splitting it up into two days and make something out of it or together
- 1:54:43some people. You know, you can put John Stockton and Carl Malone on
- 1:54:46the same day. That's how much you said their name together. So apparently
- 1:54:51they had them want to do a conference together. And in a while back,
- 1:54:56a couple of years back, Doc Gooden did he He did make a
- 1:55:00statement a while back that he credit Darren Strawberry for coming in to help saving
- 1:55:04him as far as like where he had even fell off even further than the
- 1:55:09time that they were together. So I like, I'm with Kenny. I'm
- 1:55:12thinking they're probably doing it both on a separate day. But it's shout out
- 1:55:15to him because they did make a difference in Major League Baseball at that time.
- 1:55:19Juju Lewis reclassification here, decided that he will go to college early.
- 1:55:29Juju Lewis. I've talked about him for the last two years. He will
- 1:55:31be a junior this year, but now he has decided he's an on one
- 1:55:36recruit for twenty twenty six. He's decided to declare and come out after this
- 1:55:42year. He's supposed to go to USC. Not sure if that'll stand,
- 1:55:45as we have seen so many people jump ship as their senior year winds down.
- 1:55:51You guys had a question about Juju reclassifying. Is that correct, Greg?
- 1:55:57You had for me? Yes? Why? Well, the process of
- 1:56:03just reclassifying suddenly and what is the I haven't seen think about the long term
- 1:56:13advantages of basically leaving high school a year early to start playing in college.
- 1:56:20And that's the research that has to be done. I don't see the long
- 1:56:25term ramifications of even going to school early. A lot of kids that graduated
- 1:56:33in December from football are now in college with that early signing date. They
- 1:56:40just joined the team. Some of them even joined them in the bowl games.
- 1:56:45I need data. I'm more of a traditionalist. I think that you
- 1:56:49should finish high school in the traditional way. Take that break, catch your
- 1:56:55breath. If you were in another sport, finish that sport too, you
- 1:56:59know, baseball, whatever sport you might have been, go to your senior
- 1:57:02prom. Kind of put everything in that box. Don't go with anything when
- 1:57:08you're that close. Just finish that deal and then move on. As I
- 1:57:12have famously said here, you want to be like Mike, but nobody wants
- 1:57:15to do it like Mike. They want to skip different steps. So I
- 1:57:18would love to see some data that says that Juju Lewis and other guys like
- 1:57:24him leaving or you're earlier making it to college. All I can think is
- 1:57:29I want to get into this full nil deal faster. That's that's all I
- 1:57:34can think stead of waiting two years to get this nil money, or I
- 1:57:40can get it next year, and that increased my earning possibilities even if I
- 1:57:46don't, as some college players have shown, don't go pro. I can
- 1:57:53get me a little nest egg for after college through this nil deal while I'm
- 1:57:58playing. Yeah, I can get little money right now, but you know,
- 1:58:02most of the money you would make at eighteen and twenty one. It's
- 1:58:06like a starter kit, right, you know, to make it. It's
- 1:58:10not going to be a lifetime. And that doesn't mean I think Greg is
- 1:58:12saying the correlation between making these kind of moves and making it making the pros
- 1:58:18right. Yeah. My question was also the fact that these kids are coming
- 1:58:25out early, and we talk about it compared to like when we see a
- 1:58:28zion who leaves college early. Now you know, if it's not good for
- 1:58:31a young man to leave college early and still hasn't developed as you always talk
- 1:58:36about, if people can stay a couple of years, they can figure out
- 1:58:40their diet, figure out what their body masks, different programs you got there,
- 1:58:45How is this really going to affect the high school down the road?
- 1:58:50Like you that coach and you trying to counsel this kid, but the parents
- 1:58:56aren't listening because they're listening to everybody else Where's the coach going to have control
- 1:59:00of anything anymore? I don't think coaches raise their hands to say they have
- 1:59:05control anymore. I think they are just play cating and hoping they can get
- 1:59:11whatever you have in the window you're there with them. As we talked about
- 1:59:15with Caleb Downs Alabama, the university itself didn't seem like it gave him any
- 1:59:21reason to leave. So these kids, now, I can't. I can
- 1:59:27only trust you for what I know I got. I have you for this
- 1:59:30year. I don't know anything past that, and I'm not making any kind
- 1:59:35of interaction with you past that either. So you know you can't have it
- 1:59:41both. I think everybody wants it both. They want the coach and the
- 1:59:44university and everybody to be accountable to admitted to somebody that didn't come here in
- 1:59:49that kind of manner. Right. So, but when you threw money in
- 1:59:54this, this is what it's going to happen. But until enough of it
- 1:59:59happened, we won't have any evidence that this puts you in the NFL and
- 2:00:04sustains you as we talked about. Right, because you made the NFL,
- 2:00:09don't mean you stayed. You just or made the NBA, that mean you
- 2:00:12stayed in those years that Zion missed was just to build his self that nobody
- 2:00:16has to come tell him. He never got to be in college where he
- 2:00:21had to motivate itself, get itself for going, and that's where he finds
- 2:00:27himself. Now that's what the pros is. Nobody's gonna come to your door,
- 2:00:30right, But he never had that self discipline instilled in him. And
- 2:00:34that's typically what college breeds in you, a sense of self regardless of what
- 2:00:40you're doing and whatever you end up in and we are in the ocean.
- 2:00:45The truth is he will throw you in the ocean. It's time to wrap
- 2:00:50things up. On the Sports jun Show with Wayne Candy. When you had
- 2:01:19the size of ocean, it gives us mush out testa minute to Vin,
- 2:01:23we'd like to thank you for tuning in today on today's show, wild Card
- 2:01:28Weekend Divisional Round. Excuse me coming up Ravens, Beals, Lions and forty
- 2:01:35nine ers. I would take the home teams in this round to win.
- 2:01:42Just wanted to make sure I said that. As we leave, remember commands
- 2:01:45you Greg. You could catch us on the replay on Deezer Amazon Podcast.
- 2:01:51What else do we have? Greg, Spotify, Spotify Cast, iHeartRadio,
- 2:01:57Audible. Although as soon as we go off the air right here if you
- 2:02:00missed any of the show to day. For my first person, I'm bringing
- 2:02:04on the ship the beautiful one of the first supermodels, Beverly Johnson. It's
- 2:02:15on the cover of Vogue in nineteen seventy four. She was the first black
- 2:02:19woman. But that's not why I'm bringing on. She's beautiful, but that's
- 2:02:25not why I'm bringing it on either. It's her dedication to that beauty that
- 2:02:31makes me want to give her a hug. Beverly says that in her heyday,
- 2:02:38she would eat two eggs and a bowl of brown rice a week.
- 2:02:45That's all. That's it. That's it. There's two eggs and a bowl
- 2:02:49of brown rice to say thin. So that people like Vic Kenny and the
- 2:02:57Bad Producer Cook Dog at her seven days and all you had was two eggs,
- 2:03:03some brown rice and some cocaine. She did she did to the cocaine.
- 2:03:12I missed that hard, she said, you know, because you know
- 2:03:15it was so little food. She needed something to keep me up, a
- 2:03:19little pick me up. So but as she did say, you know,
- 2:03:24it was the seventies and everybody was doing it, everybody was doing little was
- 2:03:30her pick up, you know, because she was low energy. So you
- 2:03:32can't really discredit her. What else am I gonna stay up if I only
- 2:03:38had two eggs and a bowl of brown rice. But so for that,
- 2:03:45Beverly Johnson, I wish we had a gun. I see the two deer
- 2:04:00right up there. You need to knock down now. You you can't shoot
- 2:04:03guns in the city, and you can't be shooting these deers, Bad Producer,
- 2:04:08I see you turn around real quick. You saw how you look.
- 2:04:13But we hope you haveing a good weekend, hoping some great games to watch
- 2:04:16from the Sports Jock Show. As we always say on Thursday, we'll see
- 2:04:19you in the future. Peace,
