Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Smackdown 6/26/26 Review | EULOGIZING THE FINAL THREE HOUR SMACKDOWN OF 2026
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: We are gathered here today to bid farewell to three
- 0:06Speaker 1: hours of SmackDown, consistently the worst television show each and
- 0:15Speaker 1: every single Friday night, formulaic promo segments, a show that
- 0:24Speaker 1: gives us very few matches mixed in with very many commercials,
- 0:31Speaker 1: very many, many many commercials, every single week. In fact,
- 0:36Speaker 1: I hate it when a match interrupts these commercials here
- 0:39Speaker 1: on this SmackDown show, segments that often feel like they
- 0:44Speaker 1: exist simply for the purpose of killing as much time
- 0:47Speaker 1: as humanly possible. On these shows. We have a tag
- 0:52Speaker 1: team division here on SmackDown. The powers that be in
- 0:58Speaker 1: this company should be brought up on manslaughter charges. That
- 1:02Speaker 1: is how dead the tag team division is here on
- 1:06Speaker 1: this program. A tag team division frankly deater than the
- 1:12Speaker 1: Mets chances of making the playoffs this year. That's pretty
- 1:15Speaker 1: fucking dead. You know, when I think about this journey
- 1:27Speaker 1: that we've been on here over these past six months,
- 1:32Speaker 1: three hours every single week, it makes me wonder the
- 1:34Speaker 1: other there's a it's an old saying. It goes a
- 1:40Speaker 1: little something like this, don't cry because it's over, Smile
- 1:47Speaker 1: because it happened, which, of course, whoever said that clearly
- 1:54Speaker 1: never watched three hours of SmackDown on a Friday night.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Excuse me here, you use this, use this very good? Okay,
- 2:12Speaker 1: that really wasn't necessary, And so tonight we wrap this
- 2:18Speaker 1: up here with a heavy heart. We bid farewell at
- 2:27Speaker 1: least until January. But putting that aside for a moment,
- 2:34Speaker 1: we bid farewell to three hours of mediocre television. We
- 2:42Speaker 1: bid farewell as we make our way towards what you
- 2:47Speaker 1: and I both know will be two hours of mediocre
- 2:51Speaker 1: television every single week. But two hours of mediocre television
- 2:55Speaker 1: is always better than three hours of mediocre television. So
- 2:59Speaker 1: we'll take it. But so as not to end on
- 3:02Speaker 1: a sour note here, I don't want to sound like
- 3:05Speaker 1: a negative Nancy, And because we all should be respectful
- 3:11Speaker 1: of the dead, I shall end by saying something positive
- 3:16Speaker 1: about this show. I will say something positive about Friday
- 3:20Speaker 1: night SmackDown. Now. Who the fuck am I, kiddie? I
- 3:25Speaker 1: can't say anything positive about three hours of smack now?
- 3:28Speaker 1: What are you out of your fucking mind? There ain't
- 3:30Speaker 1: nothing positive to say about three hours of SmackDown. What
- 3:33Speaker 1: we are gonna do here is we are gonna party.
- 3:37Speaker 1: That's what we're going to do. Because we have been
- 3:40Speaker 1: waiting for this now for many, many months, and finally
- 3:44Speaker 1: the day is here. We're gonna bust out the confetti.
- 3:47Speaker 1: We're gonna bust out the fucking ball. You see they're
- 3:49Speaker 1: at the top of your screen, and we are going
- 3:53Speaker 1: to celebrate. We are going to revel in the end
- 3:56Speaker 1: of three hour smackdowns. That is what we are going
- 3:59Speaker 1: to do here tonight, we celebrate. I'm gonna put our
- 4:04Speaker 1: dancing shoes on. That is what we were going to do.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Ye know how long I've waited for this? How many weeks?
- 4:13Speaker 1: I thought this was gonna happen in May, and then
- 4:15Speaker 1: I come to find out, oh no, no, no, it's
- 4:17Speaker 1: going to be in June, and then June comes and goes,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and now all of a sudden we're looking at the
- 4:20Speaker 1: first two hours smacked un at the beginning of July.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I've been waiting weeks and weeks for this moment, and
- 4:26Speaker 1: finally we are here. Good Lord, like my disco ball.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I think I may break that disco ball out every week.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Wave goodbye to it. Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Tonight it was the go home show tonight of Chasey.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I try to be respectful. I just I felt like
- 4:49Speaker 1: I had to at least come on here and just
- 4:50Speaker 1: say a few words and just commemorate, you know, the
- 4:53Speaker 1: three hour era of SmackDown, until of course, come back
- 4:57Speaker 1: to it in January. We'll try to enjoy it until
- 5:00Speaker 1: we get there. Oh my god, Night of Champions is
- 5:05Speaker 1: actually less than twenty four hours away, and we have
- 5:08Speaker 1: another stream. We have another show to do. It was
- 5:11Speaker 1: also SmackDown was tonight taped in London on Tuesday because
- 5:17Speaker 1: I guess they had to get everybody over to Riod
- 5:19Speaker 1: for the show tomorrow, so they had to tape SmackDown
- 5:22Speaker 1: in advance. SmackDown next week is also being taped. By
- 5:26Speaker 1: the way, It's gonna be taped on Monday, which is
- 5:27Speaker 1: why Raw on Monday starts at six pm Eastern, because
- 5:31Speaker 1: they're taping two shows that night because they want to
- 5:33Speaker 1: give the crew off I guess for Fourth of July weekend.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But if you heard the story earlier today, this was
- 5:44Speaker 1: apparently a big deal that WWE was very upset that
- 5:47Speaker 1: SmackDown leaked early. Not the results. I mean, the results
- 5:50Speaker 1: of course are gonna leap, but the actual episode video
- 5:52Speaker 1: of the episode leaked early and they're very upset about this,
- 5:58Speaker 1: and somebody sent me the video, so I had the
- 6:00Speaker 1: chance to watch the show early. You know what, the
- 6:03Speaker 1: only thing worse than sitting through three hours of SmackDown
- 6:07Speaker 1: is sitting through three hours of SmackDown twice, which is
- 6:11Speaker 1: what I did, because I watched the SmackDown feed on
- 6:14Speaker 1: USA Network tonight. Although to be honest, it really wasn't
- 6:17Speaker 1: three hours as far as the video that leaked. It
- 6:20Speaker 1: was more like two hours and ten minutes because all
- 6:22Speaker 1: the commercials were cut out. But still, that's over five
- 6:26Speaker 1: hours of SmackDown of the same show that I watched
- 6:29Speaker 1: this week. The things I do for you guys, and
- 6:32Speaker 1: the key developments on the show were very slim because
- 6:36Speaker 1: it was the go home show. So of course, the
- 6:38Speaker 1: majority of what we got tonight was the promotion of
- 6:42Speaker 1: all of the matches that are on the card for tomorrow.
- 6:44Speaker 1: The closing segment, for example, the main event of SmackDown
- 6:47Speaker 1: tonight was a promo segment involving the parties involved in
- 6:51Speaker 1: the WWE Championship match and the King of the Ring match.
- 6:56Speaker 1: We had Cody, we had gun Through, we had Sammy,
- 6:58Speaker 1: but then Jay Uso showed up. Ye Jay Uso came
- 7:02Speaker 1: out well, but Femi came out. He didn't say anything,
- 7:06Speaker 1: but just his mere presence was felt. So of course
- 7:10Speaker 1: that's how they closed the show. And actually, in terms
- 7:12Speaker 1: of what they did there, I'm not saying what they
- 7:14Speaker 1: did was anything out of the ordinary, but I thought
- 7:16Speaker 1: that segment was fine as far as what they wanted
- 7:20Speaker 1: to achieve. But the key developments on this show, the
- 7:24Speaker 1: end of the MFTs is upon us. I mean it's
- 7:31Speaker 1: been teased now for the longest time between Tomatonga and
- 7:34Speaker 1: Solo Sokoa that there was friction there, right, there were
- 7:37Speaker 1: issues between the two of them. And so now the MFTs,
- 7:42Speaker 1: it would appear, are no more. And I will say this,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I actually find myself at least semi interested more so
- 7:48Speaker 1: now in what Solo Sokoa is doing or what Solo
- 7:52Speaker 1: Sokoa is going to be doing now that he is
- 7:54Speaker 1: no longer the head of this Timu bloodline faction and
- 7:58Speaker 1: the MFTs have split up and Solo is on his own.
- 8:01Speaker 1: He's got nobody, he's got no friends, he's got no family,
- 8:04Speaker 1: he's got no partners, he's got no allies. He tried
- 8:07Speaker 1: to link up with Roy's keys, he wants nothing to
- 8:09Speaker 1: do with him. Tonight, he was trying to convince La
- 8:13Speaker 1: Knight that the two of them should be simpotico, they
- 8:15Speaker 1: should be on the same side. La Knight said, yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I have no interest in that, And I find myself
- 8:20Speaker 1: at least intrigued with where they are going to go
- 8:22Speaker 1: with Solo Socoa in a way that I absolutely was
- 8:25Speaker 1: not before when he was leading with or leading or
- 8:28Speaker 1: affiliated with the MFTs. Could not give a single solitary shit.
- 8:33Speaker 1: At least now I'm interested to see where they're going
- 8:36Speaker 1: to go with him. But this was a long time coming.
- 8:38Speaker 1: This has been a dead group for a very long time.
- 8:42Speaker 1: The other development on this show was the arrival of
- 8:45Speaker 1: Blake Monroe, who has been coming now for many, many weeks,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and she actually came many weeks ago. She showed up
- 8:52Speaker 1: for fifteen seconds on SmackDown backstage, and then all of
- 8:55Speaker 1: a sudden, it was back to the vignettes again. It
- 8:57Speaker 1: was very stress like they had second thoughts on when
- 8:59Speaker 1: they wanted a debut her, and they opted to wait
- 9:02Speaker 1: until they were in her hometown of London, and tonight
- 9:05Speaker 1: we got the debut of Blake Monroe and we found
- 9:09Speaker 1: out who her first opponent. I guess who her first
- 9:13Speaker 1: feud is going to be with, and that will be Julia,
- 9:16Speaker 1: because she came out after Julia's went over Keana James,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and she attacked Julia, who actually is someone she has
- 9:21Speaker 1: a little bit of history with. And so those really
- 9:24Speaker 1: were the only big developments on SmackDown tonight. The rest
- 9:28Speaker 1: of this was very pedestrian, very paint by number stuff.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But that's SmackDown. I've seen worse. I've seen much worse.
- 9:37Speaker 1: We're gonna go through the entire thing here because this
- 9:39Speaker 1: is your final three hour SmackDown review. It is Friday night,
- 9:45Speaker 1: it is June twenty sixth, twenty twenty six I am
- 9:50Speaker 1: your minister here or whatever. I don't know what I am,
- 9:53Speaker 1: but I am the Solomon, So that's who I am,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and I'm very happy that you were joining me here
- 9:58Speaker 1: on a Friday night. So grab a drink or a
- 10:02Speaker 1: snack or don't. I don't give a shit as long
- 10:05Speaker 1: as you just hang out with us, that's all that matters.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Like and subscribe. Super chats are open, so if you
- 10:11Speaker 1: want to get them on in I will be reading
- 10:13Speaker 1: all of your messages. If you would like to eulogize
- 10:16Speaker 1: three hours of smack Then if you have thoughts on
- 10:19Speaker 1: the death of three hours of SmackDown, feel free to
- 10:21Speaker 1: share with the rest of the class and we'll be
- 10:24Speaker 1: reading your messages a little bit later on. Now, let's
- 10:26Speaker 1: bust out the wheel is what we do, and we're
- 10:31Speaker 1: going to spin the wheel, and we're going to find
- 10:33Speaker 1: out here exactly how many likes we need to do hopefully,
- 10:38Speaker 1: hopefully be the booker tonight. See, I had to dress
- 10:45Speaker 1: for the occasion. It's just how I do things. Four
- 10:49Speaker 1: hundred and seventy five likes you like? Yes, yes, the
- 10:56Speaker 1: Master of Ceremonies tonight can't simply the microphone is blocking
- 10:59Speaker 1: my tie. But four hundred and seventy five likes is
- 11:02Speaker 1: what we need. We are currently at two hundred and
- 11:04Speaker 1: thirty six. So that is the goal for tonight. Now
- 11:09Speaker 1: let's get into this here. I can't be I gotta
- 11:11Speaker 1: I gotta go live again in like less than how
- 11:15Speaker 1: many hours away one o'clock Eastern It starts probably four
- 11:20Speaker 1: four point thirty probably, yeah, something like that, Preach Minister
- 11:26Speaker 1: of Solo, thank you, my brother was the three hours
- 11:35Speaker 1: of SmackDown cremated or buried? Oh? There have been a
- 11:41Speaker 1: lot of people that have been buried over these last
- 11:43Speaker 1: six months on these three hour smackdowns, but I would
- 11:47Speaker 1: say it was cremated. Tonight, Michael Cole joined Corey Graves
- 11:52Speaker 1: on commentary in place of Joe Tessitour, who they said
- 11:55Speaker 1: was off to do Zoufa boxing. Yeah. Every time they
- 12:00Speaker 1: mentioned Zufa box, I just I could not possibly give
- 12:04Speaker 1: a shit, but they're hyping it so much because of
- 12:07Speaker 1: course it falls under the TKO banner. Nick kN is involved.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I don't give a shit every time they show a
- 12:14Speaker 1: Zufa boxing fighter on screen and nobody reacts. Yeah, again,
- 12:20Speaker 1: they're going to try to shovel that shit down your
- 12:22Speaker 1: throat as much as possible because they're trying to create something.
- 12:27Speaker 1: So he was off doing Zufa boxing or getting ready
- 12:29Speaker 1: to anyway. Trick Williams was out to the ring to
- 12:32Speaker 1: open the show with Lil Yati. They said last week
- 12:36Speaker 1: he was in Jamaica with Lash Legend because the two
- 12:40Speaker 1: of them got married, which is true. Congrats to the
- 12:43Speaker 1: newly whed couple. The fans cheered. Lash Legend was not
- 12:48Speaker 1: there tonight. He was not sure why, but he called
- 12:54Speaker 1: it the best day of his life. Now back to business.
- 12:57Speaker 1: He promised to what Ricky Saints has added at Knight
- 13:01Speaker 1: of champions because he's gonna be defending the United States
- 13:03Speaker 1: Championship against him on that show, and that brought out
- 13:07Speaker 1: Ricky Saints says he doesn't give their marriage much time.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Trick then threatened to smack him down to London Bridge
- 13:15Speaker 1: if he keeps running his mouth. Trick must still be
- 13:18Speaker 1: hungover from the wedding, says Ricky. Tomorrow he takes the
- 13:22Speaker 1: US title. Ricky asked if his little friend came with
- 13:26Speaker 1: the championship, referring to Lil Yachty, who objected to this.
- 13:30Speaker 1: But as YACHTI began speaking, Ricky cheap shot at him
- 13:33Speaker 1: right in the mouth and he ran out of the ring,
- 13:37Speaker 1: and Trick turned his back to go check on YACHTI.
- 13:39Speaker 1: So Ricky slipped back into the ring. He hit Trick
- 13:41Speaker 1: in the head with the microphone and then again he
- 13:43Speaker 1: ran off. So this was very very basic stuff far
- 13:49Speaker 1: as go home segments are concerned, I don't think that
- 13:51Speaker 1: Ricky has much chance of walking out of riad with
- 13:55Speaker 1: the championship tomorrow. But this is his first singles man
- 14:00Speaker 1: on a pl It's a big platform for him. It's
- 14:04Speaker 1: a big opportunity for him. He needs to go out
- 14:07Speaker 1: there and he needs to have a good match because
- 14:09Speaker 1: the spotlight will be on him. I know it's an
- 14:12Speaker 1: undercard match, maybe they'll get eight minutes, but still first
- 14:15Speaker 1: singles match on a ple e. I don't know when
- 14:18Speaker 1: the next time is. Ricky Saints is going to have
- 14:20Speaker 1: a singles match on a ple so hopefully he'll be
- 14:22Speaker 1: able to make the most of it. Now, we got
- 14:26Speaker 1: highlights from Charlotte Flair being attacked backstage last week by
- 14:30Speaker 1: Jade Cargill and the Baddies who injured her knee and
- 14:34Speaker 1: that ultimately cost Charlotte her Queen of the Ring match
- 14:36Speaker 1: against liv Morgan, who is going to the finals. Jackie
- 14:40Speaker 1: Redman interviewed Alexa Bliss backstage, who said that Charlotte is
- 14:43Speaker 1: home dealing with not only the physical pain, but the
- 14:46Speaker 1: emotional toll, the emotional strain of what happened to her
- 14:50Speaker 1: last week. Tonight, she gets revenge for her even if
- 14:53Speaker 1: it means she has to team up with and then
- 14:56Speaker 1: in walks Tiffany Stratton, who says that she only came
- 15:00Speaker 1: about getting through her match tomorrow with Jade and beating Jade.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Alexi says she knows Tiffany and Charlotte have history, but
- 15:07Speaker 1: she happened to help them before, and so she's just
- 15:09Speaker 1: here to return the favor. And so it was Tiffany
- 15:14Speaker 1: Stratton and Alexa Bliss as tag team partners taking on
- 15:18Speaker 1: Meechen and b Fab. Late in the match, Bliss got
- 15:23Speaker 1: sent over the barricade into the timekeepers area by Meechen. Inside,
- 15:27Speaker 1: Tiffany was setting up for the prettiest Moonsalt ever to
- 15:30Speaker 1: be Fab. She got as high up as the middle
- 15:32Speaker 1: rope before Jade appeared and she tripped her up and
- 15:35Speaker 1: so Tiffany fell backwards. Referee did not see this because
- 15:38Speaker 1: he was occupied with Meechen and b Fab pins Tiffany Stratton. Yes, indeed,
- 15:44Speaker 1: b Fab just got a pinfall win here over the
- 15:47Speaker 1: United States champion. With her finish, I don't know what
- 15:50Speaker 1: she calls it, but she starts out in a neck
- 15:53Speaker 1: breaker position and then basically twists into a facebuster, which
- 15:57Speaker 1: seems like a lot of work. I don't know why
- 15:59Speaker 1: you would not hit a facebuster. Whatever she calls it,
- 16:03Speaker 1: it was effective and she picked up the wind here.
- 16:06Speaker 1: By the way, I've been calling them the Batties. A
- 16:08Speaker 1: lot of people have been calling them the Batties. That's
- 16:11Speaker 1: what Jade's minions were called in aw but now WWE
- 16:16Speaker 1: appears to officially be referring to them as the Batties
- 16:19Speaker 1: because Corey Graves called them that multiple times here on
- 16:22Speaker 1: this show, so apparently now that's officially a thing. After
- 16:25Speaker 1: the match, Jade and her crew they were stalking Tiffany,
- 16:28Speaker 1: who was in the corner. She was outnumbered when Chelsea
- 16:32Speaker 1: Green ran out with a kendo stick and she made
- 16:34Speaker 1: the save. She hit bfab in the aisleway. She gets
- 16:37Speaker 1: up on the apron. She goes to climb into the ring.
- 16:41Speaker 1: The kendo stick, though, was vertical, so as she tried
- 16:44Speaker 1: to enter the ring, it basically bounced off the ropes
- 16:47Speaker 1: and then flew out of her hands and landed on
- 16:49Speaker 1: the ground outside. So she was stickless and this was
- 16:55Speaker 1: not going to end well for Chelsea Green. But even
- 16:58Speaker 1: without the stick though, she was able to hold her
- 17:00Speaker 1: her own. She low bridged Jade out to the floor
- 17:02Speaker 1: and Chelsea, Tiffany, and Alexa. They all pose together in
- 17:06Speaker 1: the ring when it was over. Chelsea looks like she's
- 17:09Speaker 1: finally growing on Tiffany. Stratton, She's winning her over now.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Backstage later, Jade was very upset about this. She demanded
- 17:18Speaker 1: that Nick All this book her in a match against
- 17:22Speaker 1: Chelsea Green tonight she does. I'm not asking you, I'm
- 17:26Speaker 1: telling you, and so he did. Now there was no
- 17:30Speaker 1: Charlotte Flair on this show. She was out selling the injury.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I have every expectation that we are going to see
- 17:37Speaker 1: her tomorrow at Night of champions If there's one thing
- 17:41Speaker 1: that will motivate somebody to fly halfway across the world
- 17:44Speaker 1: as I believe Kevin Owens did or aj Styles did
- 17:47Speaker 1: many years ago, it is revenge. And so Jade cost
- 17:52Speaker 1: Charlotte the opportunity to go all the way to the
- 17:55Speaker 1: finals of the Queen of the Ring. I think it
- 17:57Speaker 1: only makes sense for Charlotte to show up and do
- 17:59Speaker 1: something to screw Jade out of the crown or not
- 18:03Speaker 1: the crown, but uh oh, I guess the US Championship
- 18:06Speaker 1: would be her crown. But basically screw who out of
- 18:08Speaker 1: the title tomorrow and then they can go off and
- 18:11Speaker 1: they can start building to Charlotte and Jade, which I'm
- 18:14Speaker 1: sure is going to be the Summer Slim match. They
- 18:17Speaker 1: recapped solo Socoa coming out last week during Tomatonga and
- 18:22Speaker 1: Taalatanga's Tag Team Championship match with Damian Priest in Our Truth,
- 18:25Speaker 1: which Tomatonga in no uncertain terms had told him, do
- 18:29Speaker 1: not do that. Stay in the back. We don't want
- 18:32Speaker 1: you out there, We don't need you out there. You're preoccupied.
- 18:35Speaker 1: You have other things going on with the family, you
- 18:37Speaker 1: have other things going on with Roman. Let us go
- 18:40Speaker 1: out there and do our thing. And of course he
- 18:43Speaker 1: came out anyway, and they ended up losing. So backstage
- 18:47Speaker 1: live Solo was with the two of them. He was
- 18:50Speaker 1: laughing and bragging about what he did to Jimmy Usso
- 18:53Speaker 1: on Monday, spiked him in the throat. Remember he cost
- 18:56Speaker 1: him the match against La Night. And he laughed and
- 18:58Speaker 1: he said Roman ain't gonna like that, and Thomas said,
- 19:02Speaker 1: we saw. And that's the problem, because they're tired of
- 19:07Speaker 1: getting dragged into his war. Solo's obsession with Roman is
- 19:11Speaker 1: tearing this group apart. Last week they told him to
- 19:14Speaker 1: stay in the back. He didn't listen, and now they're
- 19:17Speaker 1: standing there and they don't have any Tag team championships
- 19:21Speaker 1: and now he's helping La Knight. So Tala Tonga spoke
- 19:26Speaker 1: He doesn't get the chance to do that very often.
- 19:29Speaker 1: He spoke up and he said, Solo, we heard from
- 19:32Speaker 1: the elders. Oh, they heard from the elders. Him and Toma,
- 19:42Speaker 1: they're out. Solo says, you can't leave, and Toma told
- 19:47Speaker 1: him we just did, and they walked away, all while
- 19:51Speaker 1: Solo was just left by himself, screaming at them, you
- 19:54Speaker 1: can't leave me. I brought you here. Nobody leaves me
- 20:00Speaker 1: except everybody. So this was I guess we can officially
- 20:05Speaker 1: call it the end of the MFTs. Idly, finally, long last,
- 20:15Speaker 1: the nightmare is over. The mftes are no more. The
- 20:18Speaker 1: family tree, my family tree has been cut down. Paul
- 20:23Speaker 1: Bunyan chopped that shit down. Now Solo Socoa is all
- 20:26Speaker 1: by himself. And it's interesting that if this is the
- 20:31Speaker 1: end of the MFTs, which we have to assume it is,
- 20:34Speaker 1: that it ends in the most anti climactic way possible,
- 20:39Speaker 1: in just a simple walk off in a backstage segment.
- 20:43Speaker 1: No big blow up in the middle of the ring
- 20:45Speaker 1: or you know, brawl or Tomatonga gets the big baby
- 20:49Speaker 1: face pot for you know, shoving Solo await, No, nothing
- 20:52Speaker 1: like that. Just ends in the most anti climactic way possible,
- 20:56Speaker 1: which honestly is very on brand, I think for the MFTs,
- 20:59Speaker 1: because pretty much every thing they ever did in their
- 21:01Speaker 1: time on SmackDown was anti climactic. So in a way
- 21:04Speaker 1: it kind of fits, and now it kind of works
- 21:07Speaker 1: that this is how it all comes to an end.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And if this was anything that I was truly invested in,
- 21:13Speaker 1: if this was a group, or if this was a
- 21:15Speaker 1: storyline that I could really bring myself to care about
- 21:18Speaker 1: or have some sort of emotional attachment to, I would
- 21:21Speaker 1: say that it was a very lame way for this
- 21:23Speaker 1: to end. But I'm just glad it's over. So I'm
- 21:27Speaker 1: not going to sit here and complain about the fact
- 21:29Speaker 1: that they ended the MFTs the way they did. It
- 21:32Speaker 1: was long overdue, good, I'm glad to see it now.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Coming off his winover Axiom, tonight, we had Ray Phoenix
- 21:43Speaker 1: defending his Triple A Cruiserweight Championship against Axiom's partner Nathan Fraser.
- 21:51Speaker 1: They got off to a hot star very different than
- 21:54Speaker 1: what we are accustomed to seeing here on these shows
- 21:56Speaker 1: on Friday nights, a little bit kind of like the
- 22:00Speaker 1: Nitro formula. I guess you would say from thirty years
- 22:02Speaker 1: ago in that if you watch those old Nitro shows,
- 22:04Speaker 1: and there was a lot going on, a lot more
- 22:07Speaker 1: exciting stuff going on on those shows. But in terms
- 22:10Speaker 1: of the end ring, when you saw those cruiserweight matches, right,
- 22:14Speaker 1: it was a very different style, a very different pace
- 22:17Speaker 1: that they were working relative to all the other matches
- 22:20Speaker 1: on the show. And so you would have that match
- 22:22Speaker 1: maybe at the top of the hour beginning of the show,
- 22:24Speaker 1: and then they would transition into whatever what it could
- 22:27Speaker 1: be a TV title match or something else, and things
- 22:31Speaker 1: would sort of come back down to earth. And so,
- 22:35Speaker 1: like you watch an episode of Dynamite, right, I just
- 22:37Speaker 1: review Dynamite on Wednesday. You watch an episode of Dynamite,
- 22:40Speaker 1: it's basically one speed. It's like if you wanted to
- 22:46Speaker 1: go beyond the speed limit. Typically, let's say the speed
- 22:49Speaker 1: limit is fifteen miles an hour. That's SmackDown. SmackDown is
- 22:55Speaker 1: fifteen miles an hour. And then here come Axiom or
- 23:00Speaker 1: Nathan Frazier or Ray Phoenix and they go out there
- 23:04Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, you're driving fucking sixty five
- 23:08Speaker 1: seventy and then the match is over and then things
- 23:12Speaker 1: slow back down to you. You see a cop off
- 23:14Speaker 1: in the distance and so you slow back down to fifteen.
- 23:17Speaker 1: That's SmackDown. Whereas if you watch Dynamite any given Wednesday,
- 23:21Speaker 1: you're basically cruising fucking eighty five miles an hour down
- 23:24Speaker 1: the road and you don't like all Like what does
- 23:28Speaker 1: Jacob fought to say, all gas, no breaks with it. Yeah,
- 23:31Speaker 1: that's basically the way it works on Dynamite. The breaks
- 23:35Speaker 1: don't work. It's just one speed, and so everything sort
- 23:39Speaker 1: of feels the same. It's really noticeable on this show
- 23:42Speaker 1: when you get a match like this, because it just
- 23:45Speaker 1: it stands out more because everything else is just so slow.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Plotting not two words I would use to describe this
- 23:54Speaker 1: match here as far as you know this guy and look.
- 23:58Speaker 1: One other thing also I'll say about Ray Phoenix is
- 24:03Speaker 1: I hope we get more matches like this, and I
- 24:04Speaker 1: hope we get more matches like this with Ray Phoenix
- 24:07Speaker 1: on this show, because the guy was a ghost on
- 24:11Speaker 1: SmackDown for most of the year. You know, we had
- 24:13Speaker 1: that match recently with Axiom, he had this one. I
- 24:16Speaker 1: don't think they have enough people to really put with
- 24:18Speaker 1: him for this to last much longer. Maybe they could
- 24:21Speaker 1: put him in there with again Angel or Burdo or
- 24:24Speaker 1: something after that, the well's gonna run dry. But like
- 24:28Speaker 1: I said, he's been a ghost, you know, for most
- 24:30Speaker 1: of the year, so it's nice to at least see
- 24:32Speaker 1: him on television. And if having the Triple A Cruiserweight
- 24:37Speaker 1: Championship is going to be the means for us to
- 24:39Speaker 1: get more of that than great, so be it. I mean,
- 24:42Speaker 1: it's sad that it took that to get here, but
- 24:45Speaker 1: here we are. There was a big high cross body
- 24:48Speaker 1: off the top by Phoenix to Fraser out on the
- 24:50Speaker 1: floor early in the match. Fraser came back with a
- 24:53Speaker 1: flip dive of his own out onto the champion. Phoenix
- 24:57Speaker 1: shoved Fraser off the ropes. Fraser, though he raced back up,
- 25:00Speaker 1: he delivered a superplex. Fraser then set up for the
- 25:03Speaker 1: final cut. Phoenix caught him inside cradle only for a
- 25:07Speaker 1: two count. Both men they stood up. They threw kicks
- 25:10Speaker 1: at the exact same time. It left both of them down.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Later on, Fraser got a Spanish fly off the middle
- 25:16Speaker 1: robe into a final cut, Phoenix got knocked outside. Fraser
- 25:21Speaker 1: went for a suicide dive and Phoenix got out of
- 25:23Speaker 1: the way and Nathan Fraser took a very scary bump
- 25:28Speaker 1: not onto the announced desk. He took a scary bump
- 25:31Speaker 1: into the announced desk and damn near killed himself, so
- 25:36Speaker 1: he got him back in the ring. Phoenix went up
- 25:38Speaker 1: for a frog splash and nailed it, only got a
- 25:42Speaker 1: close near fall, after which he was able to get
- 25:45Speaker 1: Fraser in position for the Mexican musclebuster. He hit it,
- 25:48Speaker 1: he pinned him, and he retained the championship and Michael Cole.
- 25:52Speaker 1: As soon as the match was over, Michael Cole referred
- 25:56Speaker 1: to this as a classic. Now, well, I would not
- 26:01Speaker 1: go that far. Okay, pump the brakes, I would not
- 26:05Speaker 1: go that far. But they had an excellent sprint. And again,
- 26:09Speaker 1: I hope we get to see more of this. I
- 26:10Speaker 1: hope we get to see more of Phoenix specifically appearing
- 26:13Speaker 1: on these shows. You know, having the Triple A title
- 26:19Speaker 1: probably works to his advantage in that it gives him
- 26:21Speaker 1: a reason to get him on the show. I think
- 26:23Speaker 1: the only reason he's even on the show is because
- 26:25Speaker 1: it gives them a reason to promote the Triple A brand. Right.
- 26:28Speaker 1: They want to drive traffic to that show on YouTube
- 26:31Speaker 1: every week. It's the Undertaker's baby. They want to get
- 26:35Speaker 1: as many people as they can watching Triple A. So
- 26:37Speaker 1: we'll have a Triple A champion on the show, right,
- 26:39Speaker 1: same thing with the war Raiders. They have the Triple
- 26:41Speaker 1: A tag team titles. This is not about pushing the
- 26:43Speaker 1: war Raiders. It's about pushing the brand. They don't give
- 26:46Speaker 1: a shit about Eric and Ibar. They don't give a
- 26:49Speaker 1: shit about Ray Phoenix. They couldn't be They could not
- 26:52Speaker 1: be bothered to give a shit about him for the
- 26:53Speaker 1: first six months of this year. It's about pushing the brand.
- 26:58Speaker 1: That's really what it's about. But you know what, if
- 27:00Speaker 1: that's what it's about, at least he can benefit from it.
- 27:02Speaker 1: So long as he has that championship, so long may
- 27:05Speaker 1: he reign, because after that, I don't know if we'll
- 27:09Speaker 1: see him again on this show. Backstage Byron Saxton, he
- 27:14Speaker 1: was talking to Damian Priest and Our Truth about what's
- 27:18Speaker 1: next after beating the MFTs last week to retain their
- 27:20Speaker 1: tag team titles, and before they could answer, wouldn't you
- 27:25Speaker 1: know the TRIPAA tag team champions show up? It's Eric
- 27:29Speaker 1: and Ivar, It's the war Raiders who are Monday Night
- 27:33Speaker 1: Ross stars. But nothing matters anymore, and so they show
- 27:37Speaker 1: up and they ask for a match, they propose a
- 27:39Speaker 1: match Champions versus Champions title for title. Our Truth, for
- 27:46Speaker 1: whatever reason, started talking like Razor Ramone. Priest put his
- 27:52Speaker 1: hand over Truth's mouth and he told the Vikings, we'll
- 27:55Speaker 1: get back to you. We'll let you know when and where.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I really hope we're not doing the double Champions deal
- 28:03Speaker 1: and putting the Triple A belts on Priest and Truth.
- 28:06Speaker 1: I really hope that's not what we're doing here. There
- 28:09Speaker 1: has been talk of Damian Priest potentially doing stuff with
- 28:13Speaker 1: Triple A and that's fine, but him in Truth holding
- 28:18Speaker 1: the WWE Tag team titles and then simultaneously holding the
- 28:21Speaker 1: Triple A Tag Team titles. No, no, we don't need that.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Nobody asked for that. La Knight was out next, coming
- 28:36Speaker 1: off his first singles win of the year on television
- 28:40Speaker 1: on Monday Night over Jimmy USA. Yes, if you can
- 28:42Speaker 1: believe it, that is pathetic, but hey, a win is
- 28:45Speaker 1: a win. Comes out, he says. Monday Night, he and
- 28:48Speaker 1: Jimmy had a battle. Unfortunately for Jimmy, he had to
- 28:51Speaker 1: eat a blt. He caught himself staring up at the lights,
- 28:55Speaker 1: the one guy from the bloodline that he kind of
- 28:58Speaker 1: sort of likes or respects. But even so, he got
- 29:02Speaker 1: what he deserved, but an unexpected assist happened and it's
- 29:06Speaker 1: got him confused. So with that in mind, he wanted
- 29:09Speaker 1: Solo Socoa to walk his keyster down to the ring.
- 29:12Speaker 1: And so Solo Sokoa in the same spiffy red blazer
- 29:16Speaker 1: that he was wearing on Monday when he interfered, and
- 29:19Speaker 1: this time he's all by himself, comes walking down to
- 29:23Speaker 1: the ring. The crowd was singing Solo's name. I can't
- 29:27Speaker 1: say that I've heard that before. I've heard them sing
- 29:30Speaker 1: Roman reigns his name, I've never heard them sing Solo
- 29:32Speaker 1: Sokoa's name. But they were singing Solo's name. I look,
- 29:37Speaker 1: dude's got a good babyface running him away from the
- 29:41Speaker 1: MFT shit. He's got a good babyface running him. He's
- 29:45Speaker 1: a likable guy. It's just a matter of when they
- 29:49Speaker 1: want to When do they want to execute, When do
- 29:52Speaker 1: they want to pull it out of him? When do
- 29:53Speaker 1: they want to give him the chance to go out
- 29:55Speaker 1: there and be a big babyface. So even l admitted
- 30:00Speaker 1: that was kind of catchy. And when he heard the
- 30:03Speaker 1: fans singing his name, so the two of them have
- 30:07Speaker 1: had beef before. Considering what happened on Monday, He's trying
- 30:11Speaker 1: to figure it all out, and Solo said he's not
- 30:13Speaker 1: here to fight him. If he's looking for a fight.
- 30:16Speaker 1: If La Night is looking for a fight, you're wasting
- 30:18Speaker 1: your time. That's not why I'm here. I don't know
- 30:21Speaker 1: if you watched earlier, but everybody in my family has
- 30:25Speaker 1: left me. Knight says he knows that's gotta hurt, but
- 30:30Speaker 1: his heart doesn't pump purple piss for him losing his
- 30:32Speaker 1: family purple piss? Really, hmm? Is that it's like it's
- 30:40Speaker 1: like Grimace does Grimace's heart pump purple piss. Maybe that
- 30:47Speaker 1: was the secret to the Met's success last season. Maybe
- 30:54Speaker 1: if they bathed in purple piss, they would actually have
- 30:56Speaker 1: a winning record. We're getting pretty desperate here in news.
- 31:02Speaker 1: He says. All that does is leave Solo wide open
- 31:04Speaker 1: to go right back to the blood line. That's what
- 31:06Speaker 1: that tells La Night, And that got some otc chans
- 31:10Speaker 1: from the crowd. Knight said, you want to stand around
- 31:13Speaker 1: and listen to that crap. The fans were all wondering
- 31:16Speaker 1: why Solo did what he did on Monday. He doesn't
- 31:19Speaker 1: know if it was some kind of Roman Reigns initiation ritual.
- 31:23Speaker 1: And as he's talking at this point, Solo snaps and
- 31:28Speaker 1: starts screaming, and he says, he hates that family, he
- 31:32Speaker 1: hates the bloodline, he hates Jacob, he hates the Ussos,
- 31:37Speaker 1: and he hates the OTC Roman reigns. Now, let me
- 31:42Speaker 1: stop here. What was interesting about this because if you
- 31:47Speaker 1: saw the leaked episode, as I did a few days ago,
- 31:52Speaker 1: in this promo Solo Socoa, he clearly misspoke and instead
- 31:57Speaker 1: of saying the OTC, he called him the which you
- 32:04Speaker 1: make up your own definition of what that means. So
- 32:07Speaker 1: whatever he fucked up, he called him the the oct
- 32:11Speaker 1: Here he clear his day said it correctly and called
- 32:15Speaker 1: him the OTC. And there was no weird like jump cut.
- 32:19Speaker 1: It wasn't like they sent him back out there when
- 32:21Speaker 1: the show was over, tight shot, no fans in the
- 32:24Speaker 1: back like the people were there. It was like he
- 32:26Speaker 1: said it the right way, And I was like, huh,
- 32:28Speaker 1: that's that's kind of interesting because if you watch the
- 32:30Speaker 1: leaked episode after he fucked it up, it was like
- 32:33Speaker 1: a couple of segments later they had him redo the
- 32:37Speaker 1: line in the back not on camera. You couldn't see him,
- 32:40Speaker 1: but you could hear his voice, and they just had
- 32:43Speaker 1: him recut the line again and say it the right way.
- 32:47Speaker 1: So I had just assumed, like I'm gonna watch the
- 32:50Speaker 1: show and at that point they're probably gonna cut away.
- 32:53Speaker 1: They'll cut to like La Night or something, but we'll
- 32:56Speaker 1: hear the fixed audio. But they actually had him on camera,
- 33:00Speaker 1: and so it was very impressive the way that they
- 33:03Speaker 1: were able to clean that up. It was very seamless.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I'll give them that. But he says he hates the
- 33:08Speaker 1: whole blood line and the only way for him to
- 33:10Speaker 1: feel better is if he finishes them. But he knows
- 33:13Speaker 1: there's one thing they have in common. He in l
- 33:15Speaker 1: A Knight. The two of them don't like the bloodline.
- 33:19Speaker 1: So Knight says that Solo should hate Roman Reigns for
- 33:22Speaker 1: everything that he has done to him. It was Ai.
- 33:29Speaker 1: You know what, nothing would shock me at this point.
- 33:31Speaker 1: If wwe AI the fix there, you may be right,
- 33:39Speaker 1: You may very well be right. But if I'll tell
- 33:41Speaker 1: you what if it was, you couldn't, you couldn't tell.
- 33:45Speaker 1: So good on them, But he says, you know, Solo
- 33:49Speaker 1: really should hate Roman Reigns. For every single thing he's
- 33:51Speaker 1: done to him. But you know who else should hate Roman?
- 33:53Speaker 1: Jimmy and Jay and Jacob, and you know what about them?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Honestly like Roman did way more to them than he
- 34:02Speaker 1: did to Solo, and look at them, they went right
- 34:04Speaker 1: back into the fold. You had main event jay Uso.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Now he's baggage handler jay Uso, and he's supposed to
- 34:12Speaker 1: just trust Solo that he's not just going to go
- 34:13Speaker 1: back and join them. Knight said, he's seen the movie.
- 34:17Speaker 1: He knows how it ends. Why is this different? Solo said,
- 34:21Speaker 1: it's different because I got nothing to lose. He has
- 34:25Speaker 1: no family. It's just him now. And Knight said, boy,
- 34:29Speaker 1: that sounds familiar. It's just it's just me Oose. I
- 34:34Speaker 1: feel like I've heard this before. And Solo says, the
- 34:39Speaker 1: enemy of my enemy can be my friend. We can
- 34:41Speaker 1: be partners. We can take out the Bloodline. We can
- 34:44Speaker 1: watch each other's back. So Knight said, friends, he's got
- 34:49Speaker 1: some skepticism, but let him think about it, because does
- 34:53Speaker 1: he hate the Bloodline? Yeah? Is he out numbered? Yeah?
- 34:57Speaker 1: Does he probably need help? Yeah? Does he need Solo?
- 35:02Speaker 1: So CoA standing next to him watching his back. And
- 35:05Speaker 1: then Solo said yeah, and Knight said, na nah said
- 35:10Speaker 1: he lives and dies doing things his way, and he'll
- 35:12Speaker 1: live and die the only way that he can with
- 35:15Speaker 1: everybody's saying. And then the crowd did their chant and
- 35:19Speaker 1: then he told so thanks, but no thanks. Then he left.
- 35:24Speaker 1: So that is the second person now that has turned
- 35:26Speaker 1: down Solo Soca in recent weeks, recent months. Of course,
- 35:30Speaker 1: Royce Keys, he was trying to recruit him for the MFTs.
- 35:32Speaker 1: The MFTs aren't a thing anymore. Royce Keys basically said
- 35:36Speaker 1: go fuck off, and l A Knight, in so many words,
- 35:38Speaker 1: said the same thing here in this segment. In fact,
- 35:40Speaker 1: if this was in the Attitude era, that's exactly what
- 35:42Speaker 1: he would have said. He would have said fuck off
- 35:44Speaker 1: and he would have walked away. And so I find myself,
- 35:49Speaker 1: you know, again, watching what they're doing with Solo over
- 35:53Speaker 1: the last i don't know, three three weeks maybe or so,
- 35:59Speaker 1: and I find myself more intrigued with Solo Sokoa as
- 36:03Speaker 1: a character and where this could potentially go with him
- 36:06Speaker 1: than I have in six, eight, nine months whatever it's
- 36:10Speaker 1: been of the MFTs and him leading the pack with
- 36:12Speaker 1: that wish version of the bloodline. They never took the
- 36:17Speaker 1: time and put the effort in. In my opinion, maybe
- 36:21Speaker 1: there's some diehard MFT fan out there who was devastated tonight.
- 36:26Speaker 1: It's bad enough they're losing three hours of Smackdow, but
- 36:29Speaker 1: my god, they lost the MFTs too. Somebody talked this
- 36:32Speaker 1: person off the fucking ledge, right. I don't know. Maybe
- 36:35Speaker 1: there was somebody out there like that. Very weird. But
- 36:41Speaker 1: what I can tell you, as someone who watches this
- 36:43Speaker 1: show every single week, they did fuck all in terms
- 36:48Speaker 1: of creative right. There was nothing creative about what they did.
- 36:52Speaker 1: In terms of the MFTs, all the stories they did
- 36:55Speaker 1: with them, Tomatanga and Shinsky, Nakamura, the MFTs and the
- 36:59Speaker 1: YA like, all of this. It was such like surface level, boring, bullshit,
- 37:07Speaker 1: low efforts. We never heard anything from the other members
- 37:11Speaker 1: of this group. We never heard from J. C. Matteo,
- 37:14Speaker 1: We never heard anything more than a grunt from Talatanga.
- 37:18Speaker 1: We barely heard from Tamatanga. They took absolutely no efforts
- 37:25Speaker 1: to get you invested in the characters, whether they wanted
- 37:29Speaker 1: you to boo them, whether they wanted you to cheer them,
- 37:32Speaker 1: fear them, whatever the case may be. Solo Socoa, of course,
- 37:37Speaker 1: he was front and center. He was the ring leader
- 37:39Speaker 1: of this circus. But they just never bothered to flesh
- 37:42Speaker 1: out the rest of the group, and so they would wrestle, right,
- 37:45Speaker 1: they were the ones who were out there. Solo most
- 37:47Speaker 1: of the time was in their corner, and they would
- 37:49Speaker 1: be out there and wrestling the crickets because nobody cared.
- 37:53Speaker 1: We didn't know anything about them. That was the fun
- 37:56Speaker 1: of the bloodline, right when the bloodline was rolling and
- 37:59Speaker 1: the bloodline was cooking the first time out. And I
- 38:02Speaker 1: will maintain that that is the biggest reason why the
- 38:04Speaker 1: mft's failed. But I think it probably failed by design.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I don't think they I don't think they wanted to
- 38:10Speaker 1: because they knew, like the MFTs is not the blood line, right,
- 38:13Speaker 1: the goal was never to create the second blood line
- 38:17Speaker 1: un SmackDown. They wanted to have this offshoot to give
- 38:19Speaker 1: Solo something to do, maybe to get to this point
- 38:24Speaker 1: because maybe they have a longer term playing for Solo
- 38:26Speaker 1: to co And it was never about the other guys.
- 38:29Speaker 1: They just wasted our time. That's why I will not
- 38:34Speaker 1: miss the MFTs. And for the sake of Tomatonga and Tallatanga,
- 38:39Speaker 1: I hope they could find something else for them. To do.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I would say for those two, yeah, they're not in
- 38:45Speaker 1: a good spot right now. They're kind of on the bubble.
- 38:48Speaker 1: You know, they could easily fall through the cracks or worse.
- 38:51Speaker 1: If you want to keep them together as a tag team.
- 38:53Speaker 1: You have no tag team division. You have, you have
- 38:55Speaker 1: some teams, but you have no real division. Tag team
- 38:58Speaker 1: wrestling is dead in WW So if they were to
- 39:01Speaker 1: keep those two together, I'm not sure that that's honestly
- 39:04Speaker 1: going to be much better for them. Frankly, I don't
- 39:07Speaker 1: know where they go, but the focus is not on them.
- 39:10Speaker 1: The focus is obviously on Solosco. Now we go to
- 39:15Speaker 1: the back with Byron Saxton and he is with Sammy's
- 39:19Speaker 1: ain who said last week he did what anybody else
- 39:22Speaker 1: would have done, but nobody seems to get that, nobody
- 39:25Speaker 1: except him, and the camera then panned over to the
- 39:29Speaker 1: hymn that he was referring to, and it's Johnny Gargano,
- 39:33Speaker 1: who is once again planking very good. They cut back
- 39:38Speaker 1: to Sammy says his mother always told them good things
- 39:41Speaker 1: happen to good people, and now he's about to wrestle
- 39:44Speaker 1: for the WWE Championship. The last few months haven't been good.
- 39:48Speaker 1: To him. And it all started when he had a
- 39:50Speaker 1: chance to win the title in Saudi Arabia the Royal Rumble,
- 39:53Speaker 1: and he lost. But because he stayed true to himself,
- 39:56Speaker 1: he stayed good, and now the universe has given him
- 40:00Speaker 1: the chance to redeem himself. And as soon as he
- 40:03Speaker 1: said that, it's like he had this Eureka moment, he
- 40:07Speaker 1: had this revelation. He said, I'm gonna become the WWE Champion.
- 40:13Speaker 1: And I said, don't say that out loud. You're my
- 40:17Speaker 1: pick to win tomorrow. You're my prediction. It's like when
- 40:20Speaker 1: the announcer is before a pinfall, they go, oh, he's
- 40:22Speaker 1: gonna win the title, and of course he never does.
- 40:24Speaker 1: You can't just come right out and say that because
- 40:26Speaker 1: now it's not gonna happen. But he's convinced he's gonna
- 40:31Speaker 1: become the WWE Champion tomorrow. We had Page returning home
- 40:38Speaker 1: out with Brie Bella for a singles match against j. C. Jane,
- 40:41Speaker 1: who came out with Fallon Henley and Laney Reid. Paige
- 40:45Speaker 1: hit a cannon ball dive off the apron that took
- 40:47Speaker 1: out the other two members of Fatal Influence JC. They'll
- 40:51Speaker 1: caught Page with a PK from the Apron that took
- 40:53Speaker 1: us into a commercial. So late in the match, Jane
- 40:56Speaker 1: caught Page in a backslide, used the ropes for leverage.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Bribella pushed her legs off, and so here come Fatal Influence.
- 41:03Speaker 1: They're coming over to They're gonna beat up Bribella and
- 41:06Speaker 1: Bree dropped Fallon with a punch. Laney then ran Brie
- 41:10Speaker 1: into the ring post Laney got up on the Apron.
- 41:12Speaker 1: She ate a punch from Page, who got rolled up
- 41:15Speaker 1: for a two count, and then Page returned the favor
- 41:17Speaker 1: and did the same, but her roll up worked and
- 41:20Speaker 1: she got a three count on j. C. Jane, and
- 41:23Speaker 1: so Page picks up the win here in London. Now, look,
- 41:27Speaker 1: I get wanting to give Page a win in England.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I get it. I don't even have an issue with that.
- 41:33Speaker 1: That's fine. My issue is with why did it have
- 41:36Speaker 1: to be JC Jane? And I understand that they're working
- 41:39Speaker 1: some sort of angle here where Fatal Influence may well
- 41:43Speaker 1: end up winning the tag team titles from these two women,
- 41:46Speaker 1: and so they're all kind of involved. But now we'll
- 41:49Speaker 1: look at what we've seen with these four women over
- 41:51Speaker 1: the or five I guess Over the last few weeks,
- 41:54Speaker 1: Fatal Influence had a tag team match with Page and Bribella,
- 41:57Speaker 1: non title and they lost. They could not beat the
- 42:02Speaker 1: champions in a non title match, right, which doesn't typically
- 42:04Speaker 1: earn you a championship match. So now the ring leader,
- 42:07Speaker 1: jac Jane goes in their first singles match with Page
- 42:10Speaker 1: and she gets beat. So now all the members of
- 42:14Speaker 1: Fatal Influence have lost to Page and Bribella, and I
- 42:17Speaker 1: failed to see. I mean again, it's not gonna kill
- 42:19Speaker 1: them unless this continues. But I'm just looking at this.
- 42:22Speaker 1: I'm going man, Fatal Influence, the way they debuted them
- 42:25Speaker 1: was pretty good, and now they've taken a step back.
- 42:30Speaker 1: That's what I really don't understand here. They've now defeated
- 42:33Speaker 1: all three members of Fatal Influence. But you know, they're
- 42:36Speaker 1: just going to keep this going until they eventually win.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I would hope, I mean, with this administration, who the
- 42:42Speaker 1: hell knows, but you would assume that eventually they'll pick
- 42:44Speaker 1: up a win. To the back we go. We go
- 42:49Speaker 1: to Dan Housen's science lab where Mis and Kit Wilson
- 42:54Speaker 1: were still all fucked up from being electrocuted a few
- 42:56Speaker 1: weeks ago. You know, missus hare is all poofed up
- 43:00Speaker 1: up and he's got this silver streak going down it
- 43:04Speaker 1: like a skunk, and it reminds me of that Vince
- 43:08Speaker 1: McMahon looked from a year or two ago when he
- 43:10Speaker 1: was you know, with the hair, he looked like Peppy leapew.
- 43:13Speaker 1: I guess that's the look that miz was going for,
- 43:15Speaker 1: because now he's got the same hairstyle. Here's what I
- 43:19Speaker 1: want to know. How are these men in this condition
- 43:22Speaker 1: able to travel from one place to the next by themselves?
- 43:27Speaker 1: I mean they they're zombiefied basically. You know, mis was
- 43:32Speaker 1: eaten by zombies many years ago. I remember it. I
- 43:36Speaker 1: reviewed that show, got those pandemic error shows. It was
- 43:42Speaker 1: something else. You know, at this point, as bad as
- 43:47Speaker 1: things are generally weak to week on this show, I'm
- 43:49Speaker 1: not so sure that that's actually worse than the shows
- 43:52Speaker 1: are now. At least back then you got a lot
- 43:54Speaker 1: of wild shit. It was kind of funny to talk about. Anyway.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Matt Cardona walked in and he thanked Dan Hausen for
- 44:01Speaker 1: helping the New York Knicks win the NBA Finals. But
- 44:04Speaker 1: last week he got shocked in Dan Housen's lab and
- 44:07Speaker 1: all of a sudden, his fist is twitching and he's
- 44:11Speaker 1: got this sudden urge to move back to Long Island,
- 44:14Speaker 1: and he keeps chanting, whoo, what's going on? So Dan
- 44:20Speaker 1: Housen noticed miss and Wilson all of a sudden they
- 44:22Speaker 1: were gone, so he went off to go look for them,
- 44:24Speaker 1: and Cardona's in there by himself, and so los Garza
- 44:29Speaker 1: walks in and they are looking for Freekousen, who still
- 44:34Speaker 1: owes the money. He still ows los Garza the Paul
- 44:39Speaker 1: Hayman of the Tag Team Division, so they want their money.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Cardona tells them, I don't know where he is, so
- 44:46Speaker 1: they leave, and then Cardona tried to peek under the
- 44:50Speaker 1: sheet at Baron Corbin's rotting corpse, but before he could
- 44:54Speaker 1: actually lift up the sheet, Dan house and we heard
- 44:57Speaker 1: Dan Housen's voice and he told him, don't touch that.
- 45:02Speaker 1: How much longer is this gag going to go on for?
- 45:05Speaker 1: It's been weeks of this. This week's episode is sponsored
- 45:09Speaker 1: by WIS. It can be hard to break through all

- 46:24Speaker 1: That's wix dot com slash harmony. After a break. Tama
- 46:29Speaker 1: Tonga and to tangaloa Talatanga and God is a tongue twister?
- 46:35Speaker 1: Is what this is? Tamatanga and Talatanga. There we go Fack.
- 46:43Speaker 1: They were wheeling their suitcases out of the arena. They
- 46:45Speaker 1: were on their way out when they ran into Finn Balor,
- 46:50Speaker 1: who said that it was good to see them, especially
- 46:52Speaker 1: Tama finally making your own decisions. He says it reminds
- 46:56Speaker 1: him of the Tama that he used to run with.
- 46:59Speaker 1: Thomas said, we did used to run together. That was
- 47:01Speaker 1: a long time ago, said, you know, Shinskate's from my
- 47:05Speaker 1: past too, and we all know how that went. And
- 47:08Speaker 1: with that they rolled on out, leaving Ballord behind, which
- 47:11Speaker 1: reminds me. We have not seen shins K Nakamura, I
- 47:16Speaker 1: believe since he wrestled Tlatanga on SmackDown about a month ago.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I don't believe we've seen him since. Maybe he's the
- 47:23Speaker 1: one who's laying under the sheet in Dan Hausen's lab.
- 47:26Speaker 1: He's going to try to resuscitate Nackamora's career Nakamora is
- 47:33Speaker 1: going to pop out from under the sheet, thinking he's
- 47:35Speaker 1: still wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling. So dan Hausen
- 47:40Speaker 1: got an entrance and he made his way out to
- 47:42Speaker 1: the ring, flanked by Miz and Kit Wilson. Miz was
- 47:46Speaker 1: walking around like Frankenstein, bumping into shit. Dan Hausen was here,
- 47:52Speaker 1: he said, to welcome us to the most musty show
- 47:54Speaker 1: of all time, Dan Hausen TV. And his guests, he said,
- 48:01Speaker 1: were the legion of Dan Hausen. He asked Mis, how
- 48:05Speaker 1: do you feel about Dan Hausen replacing you on your
- 48:07Speaker 1: own TV show? And Miss said awesome. He asked Kit Wilson,
- 48:13Speaker 1: London's own Kit Wilson, how he feels about Los Garza
- 48:17Speaker 1: destroying dan Hausen's experiments, and he said toxic, toxic, toxic.
- 48:21Speaker 1: This is riveting television. So that brought out Los Garza
- 48:25Speaker 1: and they immediately attacked Miss and Wilson. They knocked them
- 48:28Speaker 1: out of the ring. That left dan Hausen all alone
- 48:31Speaker 1: by himself until Matt Cardona ran out for the save.
- 48:35Speaker 1: And now it was even and so Nick all this
- 48:37Speaker 1: walks out. Man. He got a nice little pot for
- 48:40Speaker 1: being back in the UK, and he booked the obligatory
- 48:44Speaker 1: tag team match, which was Dan Hausen and Matt Cardona
- 48:49Speaker 1: against Los Garza, Miss and Wilson. They just wandered around
- 48:55Speaker 1: ringside aimlessly throughout the match. As the match was in
- 48:58Speaker 1: progress again like zombies, Cardona hit a Brosky boot. He
- 49:03Speaker 1: set it for a rough rider, but he got cut off.
- 49:05Speaker 1: So Angel grabbed the chair at ringside and Miz He
- 49:09Speaker 1: stood in front of him, blocking his path every time
- 49:12Speaker 1: he tried to get back in the ring, and he
- 49:13Speaker 1: wasn't doing it on purpose, It's just he's just he's
- 49:16Speaker 1: in the way, and so Angel wound up he was
- 49:19Speaker 1: going to hit him with the chair, the chair that
- 49:21Speaker 1: he had in his hand. Wilson, who I believe had
- 49:25Speaker 1: been knocked over the timekeeper's barricade, was standing in the
- 49:28Speaker 1: timekeeper's area and he reaches over. He grabs the chair
- 49:31Speaker 1: out of Angel's hand and snatches it away from him.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Rider hit Angel with a rough rider on the floor. Meanwhile,
- 49:37Speaker 1: in the ring, Burdo climbed to the top and Dan
- 49:40Speaker 1: hous it on the mat below. He sat up like
- 49:43Speaker 1: the Undertaker and he cursed him. And as he curses Burdo,
- 49:49Speaker 1: Pyro shoots out from the ring post. We've seen this
- 49:52Speaker 1: before and it blinds him. It distracts him. In Poor Burdo,
- 49:55Speaker 1: he loses his balance and he crashes and burns on
- 49:59Speaker 1: the mat and Dan Housen picks him up and hits
- 50:02Speaker 1: a scorpion death drop and he pins him. You know,
- 50:07Speaker 1: with the with the Dan Housen stuff, you kind of
- 50:10Speaker 1: know what to expect, right. It's it's the lighthearted comedy
- 50:14Speaker 1: on the show. He goes out there, he's over, Like,
- 50:19Speaker 1: wait until they get to Madison Square Garden in a
- 50:21Speaker 1: few weeks. He'll be the most over guy on that show.
- 50:24Speaker 1: He's like a hero now in New York. So the
- 50:27Speaker 1: fans love him and they know they're entertained by him.
- 50:32Speaker 1: And it's very interesting because like the majority of the
- 50:35Speaker 1: mid card on SmackDown are now linked in some way
- 50:39Speaker 1: to Dan Housen, right, Ms, Kit Wilson, Cardona los Garza.
- 50:46Speaker 1: They'll probably add more people to the list as well.
- 50:50Speaker 1: And it gives these people in the mid card, who
- 50:52Speaker 1: otherwise would have nothing to do at least, it gives
- 50:54Speaker 1: them a reason to kind of be associated with someone
- 50:57Speaker 1: who who is over, which is the best thing I
- 51:00Speaker 1: could say about it. It gives them a reason to be
- 51:03Speaker 1: out there and involved in something that the fans, at
- 51:06Speaker 1: least in the arenas, appear to be entertained by. And
- 51:11Speaker 1: if they want to consolidate all of that into like
- 51:13Speaker 1: one match or one segment on the show every week,
- 51:16Speaker 1: I don't see the harm in that. Is it silly?
- 51:18Speaker 1: Is it stupid? Is it dumb? Fun? Yes, but you
- 51:24Speaker 1: know you need a little bit of that on the show.
- 51:27Speaker 1: And if this is what they want to use Dan
- 51:29Speaker 1: Housen for, then that's probably the best way to use
- 51:31Speaker 1: Dan Housen because you're not going to use Dan Housen
- 51:33Speaker 1: as any sort of serious figure on the show. What
- 51:35Speaker 1: are you gonna do? You and have Dan Housen out
- 51:37Speaker 1: there challenging Trick Williams for the United States Championship? What
- 51:42Speaker 1: are you gonna have him doing? Drew McIntyre is gonna
- 51:43Speaker 1: come back, He's gonna feud with Dan Housen. I mean,
- 51:45Speaker 1: give me a fucking break. He's doing exactly what he
- 51:48Speaker 1: should be doing. Backstage Byron Saxton interviewed Gunther. I don't
- 51:56Speaker 1: know why. I that's what a weird auto that is here,
- 52:01Speaker 1: says Gumby. I don't know why in my notes did
- 52:06Speaker 1: I write that am I that tired? That had to
- 52:09Speaker 1: be autocorrect? Well anyway. Byron Sackson interviewed Gumby in the
- 52:17Speaker 1: back and asked for his re asked for his reaction
- 52:23Speaker 1: to Sammy Zain saying the WWE Championship, imagine that of
- 52:27Speaker 1: champions was his shot at redemption, and Gunh said that
- 52:32Speaker 1: if there's anyone who needs redemption, it's him after being
- 52:34Speaker 1: screwed twice out of the WWE Championship. So Byron then
- 52:40Speaker 1: brought up Gunther's win loss record against Cody Rhodes. It's
- 52:44Speaker 1: not really that good. Yeah, he has yet to beat
- 52:47Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes. I would say so, I would say that's
- 52:49Speaker 1: not a good win loss record. Gumby the new ww Hey,
- 52:58Speaker 1: you know what, I think we could do a hell
- 53:00Speaker 1: of a lot worse than Gumby. His name is jay
- 53:02Speaker 1: Usso too bad Gumby isn't in the King of the Ring.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I'll take Gumby. You imagine like Gumby in the King
- 53:09Speaker 1: of the Ring finals against the Obafemi and here comes
- 53:12Speaker 1: Pokey from behind. You know, there's a bunch of like
- 53:16Speaker 1: younger people listening and watching this right now, going what
- 53:18Speaker 1: the fuck is he talking about? That makes me sad,
- 53:22Speaker 1: but I know some of you will get the reference.
- 53:25Speaker 1: So anyway, Gunther got upset about all this. He said, look,
- 53:28Speaker 1: I was screwed twice and tomorrow it's gonna go down
- 53:32Speaker 1: very different at night of Champions and how that's something
- 53:36Speaker 1: I'm going to tell Cody later. So then after this
- 53:45Speaker 1: we had we had Jade car There are people asking,
- 53:48Speaker 1: who are just tuning in, like why is he in
- 53:50Speaker 1: a suit? And to find out why. See, we had
- 53:55Speaker 1: to eulogize three hours of SmackDown earlier in the stream,
- 53:59Speaker 1: So you missed the funeral ceremony, you could always go
- 54:01Speaker 1: back and watch it later. We had to memorialize the
- 54:05Speaker 1: end of three hour smackdowns. That's why I had addressed
- 54:08Speaker 1: for the occasion here For those wondering Jade against Chelsea Green,
- 54:15Speaker 1: there was a spot in this match where Jade came
- 54:18Speaker 1: charging into the corner very slowly and Chelsea barely got
- 54:22Speaker 1: out of the way, and then Chelsea started throwing punches
- 54:25Speaker 1: that were so weak even the announcers had no choice
- 54:30Speaker 1: but to acknowledge how awful these punches looked, and they
- 54:35Speaker 1: were questioning how effective they Were's that's the polite way
- 54:39Speaker 1: of saying that these punches look like shit. So I
- 54:42Speaker 1: don't know what the hell happened here. Maybe somebody got
- 54:45Speaker 1: knocked a little loopy for a second. I don't know.
- 54:48Speaker 1: That's the feeling I generally get when I watched these
- 54:50Speaker 1: television shows. Later on, Chelsea landed a missile dropkick. Jade
- 54:55Speaker 1: was able to avoid an attempt at an unprettier and
- 54:58Speaker 1: then she caught Chelsea with a pump kick, and then
- 55:01Speaker 1: she hit Jaded for the win. That suit looks very hot. Oh,
- 55:09Speaker 1: believe me, it is very hot in here right now.
- 55:11Speaker 1: You know we're heading for a heat wave next week.
- 55:13Speaker 1: We're gonna have three consecutive days where it's going to
- 55:16Speaker 1: be ninety or above. We may hit one hundred degrees
- 55:18Speaker 1: next week. Boy, those are going to be some fun.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Streams can't wait. So after the match, Jade continued the
- 55:27Speaker 1: attack on Chelsea, Tiffany Stratton, and Alexa Bliss. They ran out,
- 55:31Speaker 1: causing Jay to powder out to the floor. But here
- 55:35Speaker 1: comes Beefab and Mechen and they attacked Stratton and Bliss.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Jade got back in the ring and she dropped Tiffany
- 55:41Speaker 1: with Jaded. I would think that's good news for Tiffany Tomorrow,
- 55:47Speaker 1: not so much for Jade Byron Sacks that attempted to
- 55:53Speaker 1: interview not Gumby, but Solo Socoa not as cool as Gumby,
- 55:57Speaker 1: but he tried to interview Solo in the back. He said,
- 56:02Speaker 1: you know, Solo's family left him and it now truly
- 56:05Speaker 1: feels like Solo is all alone. What are your thoughts?
- 56:09Speaker 1: And Solo didn't get a word out before he turned
- 56:12Speaker 1: and Royce Keys was standing there and he had a
- 56:16Speaker 1: smile on his face, and he said, you know, Jacob
- 56:19Speaker 1: is coming for you. And Solo said, so, are you
- 56:22Speaker 1: gonna help me like I helped you? And Keys just
- 56:26Speaker 1: smiled and he slapped his back and he wished him luck,
- 56:29Speaker 1: and then he walked away, and Solo muttered to himself,
- 56:31Speaker 1: I don't need luck, I need help. Backstage, Jackie Redmand
- 56:37Speaker 1: interviewed Trick Williams and Lil Yachti. Lily Yati did the talking.
- 56:41Speaker 1: At first. He said, we'll admit that we were looking
- 56:43Speaker 1: past Ricky Saints, but now they're looking right at him,
- 56:47Speaker 1: and Trick said that he's sick and tired of pretending
- 56:50Speaker 1: like he and Ricky are on the same level. Trick
- 56:52Speaker 1: said that he's bigger, he hits harder, he's smarter, he
- 56:55Speaker 1: works harder, he's smoother than him. He's prettier than him too.
- 56:59Speaker 1: Trix said Night Champions would be the night of trick Williams.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Let's talk about it. We finally got the one on
- 57:07Speaker 1: one match that they have been building towards now for
- 57:10Speaker 1: many months. It's all built to this occasion here where
- 57:14Speaker 1: we had Julia and Keana James going one on one.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Julia went up top, James cut her off, slammed her down,
- 57:24Speaker 1: then she hit a falcon arrow for a near fall.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Keana was able to avoid the Rivederici knee strike and
- 57:30Speaker 1: then delivered a power bomb for a near fall. Keana
- 57:33Speaker 1: was setting Julia up for something on the ropes, I
- 57:35Speaker 1: don't know what, and Julia was able to count her
- 57:38Speaker 1: out into a sunset bomb. Julia finally connects with the
- 57:42Speaker 1: rivader Ici Mee and then followed up with the Northern
- 57:45Speaker 1: Lights bomb for the wind. Hey look at that, she
- 57:50Speaker 1: got the wind. That's good. That's good. Now the bad news. See,
- 57:56Speaker 1: I try to give you the good news first, just
- 57:58Speaker 1: to soften the blow before I gave you the bad news.
- 58:02Speaker 1: The bad news is nobody gave a shit. Nobody cared,
- 58:08Speaker 1: and that's terrible, considering that these two have been paired
- 58:11Speaker 1: up now for many months, and you would hope to
- 58:15Speaker 1: have more crowd investment in this, considering this was the
- 58:18Speaker 1: first time that they were button heads and going one
- 58:21Speaker 1: on one, and for the vast majority of this match,
- 58:26Speaker 1: nobody cared. They didn't even bother piping in crowd noise
- 58:29Speaker 1: for this. It was just like it is, it is
- 58:31Speaker 1: what it is. And unfortunately, and I say this as
- 58:33Speaker 1: a fan of Julia's, well, I mean, I'm a fan
- 58:35Speaker 1: of both these women. I actually think Keana has the
- 58:38Speaker 1: higher ceiling in WW than Julia does. But that being said,
- 58:42Speaker 1: you have to admit, right that when Julia goes out there,
- 58:47Speaker 1: there's just this sense of apathy from the crowds, like
- 58:52Speaker 1: this is not the same woman who we saw in
- 58:54Speaker 1: NXT getting those reactions, having those matches. They're like two
- 58:59Speaker 1: different people, you know. So it's it's sad. It's just
- 59:05Speaker 1: said that they just cannot seem to get these people
- 59:08Speaker 1: to invest in this woman in the way that I'm
- 59:11Speaker 1: sure by now they would have hoped, you know, they
- 59:14Speaker 1: would be invested. And then we weren't done yet. Because
- 59:19Speaker 1: Blake Monroe ran out. She has arrived. She has finally come.
- 59:25Speaker 1: She's been coming for weeks, but now she finally came.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Blake Monroe attacks Julia from behind as she's getting her
- 59:31Speaker 1: hand raised at the end of this match, and she
- 59:34Speaker 1: puts the boots to her and then she gives her
- 59:37Speaker 1: a Cesarow style neutralizer. I guess maybe that's going to
- 59:43Speaker 1: be her finish, and then she pranced around the ring
- 59:46Speaker 1: to I would say more of a positive reaction than
- 59:49Speaker 1: a negative one, more of a positive reaction than Julia got.
- 59:52Speaker 1: But again, she's from London. I would have expected her
- 59:55Speaker 1: to get the hometown you know, love from the fans
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: who knew that. I think Blake is a good opponent
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: for Julia. They've already worked together. It was only one match,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: but they worked a match and stardom together about three
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: years ago, so they have at least some familiarity with
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: each other already. And obviously this is not going to
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: end well for Julia. They are not debuting Blake Monroe.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I don't believe in having her lose to Julia, so
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: it's gonna be it's gonna be an l But I
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: think that you know, I'm trying to be optimistic here.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: It's good that Julia is finally separated away from Keana,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: and that Keana is separated away from Julia, and they
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: could be done with this. They could be done with
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: each other, and they can move on to whatever the
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: next phase is going to be for them. I've said before, like,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: if it were up to me, and honestly, maybe even
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: more so now that Oscar is gone, Oscar and Kyrie
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: are gone, I would move Julia a RAW. It would
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: give her a whole new roster of women for her
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: to work with, whether you want to use her as
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: a heel or a babyface. I would move her to
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Raw because I believe that a change of scenery might
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: just be what she needs. You know, you may run
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: into the same issues where again you have to educate
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: the fans about why they should care. You know, she
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: has to go out there and have matches that people
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: are going to want to see so that they'll react
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: to her. You have to give her more promo time,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: because the only way she's going to get better at
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: it is by being able to go out there in
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: front of a live crowding cut promos. But I think
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: doing that on Raw is probably you know the better option.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: It's weird how things flip so quickly, where a few
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: months ago I would have said, man, look at this
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: raw women's division compared to SmackDown. SmackDown's dying on the vine,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and the SmackDown women's division now has been bolstered. It's
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: stronger now than it was before. And the raw women's
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: division is the one that could really use some help.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: And maybe sending Julia over there can be a mutually
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: beneficial thing. Gets another woman and she gets a change
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: of scenery and some new opponents to work with. She
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: could work with the judgment day. As far as Kiana,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I'll say this about Kiana, I believe that Keana's ceiling
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: is going to be higher in this company than Julia's.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I think that she will end up attaining more success.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I feel like they are very high on her. I
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: know they haven't done a whole lot with her yet,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: but Kiana is very good and she can talk. You know,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: she's got that confidence that she projects, very athletic. I
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: think she'll do well. It comes down to creative. The creative. Man,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: the creative can destroy you if you don't have the
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: right creative to back you up. It's sad, but I
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: mean it's ruined careers before. So I just hope they can,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: you know, line up some good feuds for her and
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: then let her go out there and show what she
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: can do. But it's not like her losing here is
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: a sign that they're giving up on her. I think
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: they just honestly wanted to feed Julia a win to
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: set up for blake debut. Honestly, I think that was like,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: in their mind, the most important thing, Let's get her
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: a win, and so that way we'll have Blake work
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: with her and then Blake can be Julie. And to
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: close the show, we got the WWE Champion QB one
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: as he loves to call himself, Cody Rhodes out to
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the ring. He didn't get to say a whole hell
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: of a lot before he was interrupted by Sam Bey
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Zane and he as he was walking down to the ring,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: he had a mic. He thanked all of his rider
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: die fans for their support, but that's not why he's here.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: He needed to say this face to face, man to
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: man to Cody, even friend to friend, even if Cody
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: doesn't see him that way. He had to tell him
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: what happened last week when he was the guest referee.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: He regrets how some of that went down. He says, yes,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: he was provoked, but he's a good guy. He's the
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: last real good guy, and he should have been better.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: So he regrets that the fast count was needed. He
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: regrets hitting the official, and he regrets knocking Cody out
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: with the WWE championship. He said that was a mistake.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Cody cut him off. He goes, was it a mistake
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and Samby says, yes, it was. But now you know
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: we're about to wrestle for the WWE Championship, and I
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: just need you to know this is not how I
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: wanted it, and Cody cuts him off with the enough
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: he loves doing that. Sammy, this is exactly what you wanted.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: You're wrestling for the WWE title in a country that
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: loves you, in a match where I don't even have
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: to be pinned to lose my championship. So these things
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: like seems like things are really going your way, right,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: The stars are really aligning here for Sammy zing He goes,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: You're no victim. You are exhausting. I guess that's something
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: that Samby z Ain has in common with three hours
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: of SmackDown. Something he can't wrap his head around though,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: is that Sammy is best friends with Kevin Owens because
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: there's two main differences between them. Kevin Owens would say
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: whatever he has to say to his face and then
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: stab him in the front, not the back, and the
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: other at least Kevin Owens has been WWE champion. I
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: was a little taken aback by this comment, and I
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: thought about this and I said, are they And it
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: was probably just a comment that Cody made. But the
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: title that Kevin Owens held was the Universal Champion. Kevin
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Owens has never been the WWE champion before. He has
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: challenged numerous times against Roman Reigns and against Cody Rhodes,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: and he has failed every single time he has challenged
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: to be the WWE Champion, to the point where he
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: was walking around with the winged Eagle belt pretending to
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: be the champion even though he never actually won it.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: But I guess, yes, the WWE title and the Universal
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: title were merged, right, they were unified, So I don't know.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: I mean maybe in their eyes that technically makes Kevin
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Owens now a former WWE champion because he was a
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Universal CHAMPI, which would be so stupid if that's honestly
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: how they view things. Yeah, I did a double take
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: on that. I said, really, I don't remember Kevin Owens
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: ever winning the ww Championship. He should have been the
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: WWE champion, but it was not meant to be, So
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Sammy taeld Cody, Look, you keep Kevin Owens name out
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: of your mouth, and if you want to go low,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: let's go low. If it wasn't for me, Gunther would
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: be the WWE champion right now. And instead of chastising me,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: you should be on your hands and knees thanking me.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: And after a night of champions the reason that you
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: will not be WWE champion will also be because of
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: me q Gunther's music. He's done listening to this. So
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: he comes down to the ring and he says he
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: basically he doesn't give a shit about all this drama.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: He just wants the title that's over Cody's shoulder. But
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Sammy's right about one thing. If Sammy didn't screw him,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: he would be the WWE champion right now, and Cody
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: knows that. But he said Sammy's also very wrong about something,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: claiming that he's leaving Knight of Champions with the title
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: because he's not and as a referee, he caused a
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: lot of damage to him, but as a wrestler, he's
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: a non factor to Gunther because let's face it, Sammy
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: has never been WWE champion and he never will be.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: And for Cody, enjoy your last night as the Golden Boy,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: because I'm going into SummerSlam to wrestle the King of
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: the Ring, not you. So that brought out Now, these
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: are all three men that are in the championship match tomorrow,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: and you would think that, Okay, we're gonna end with
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: We're gonna end with these men here because this was
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: about their match, right, it's about their main event tomorrow.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: But he said the key word, he said the trigger word.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: There did gun through. He specifically mentioned I'm gonna be
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the one wrestling the King of the Ring. And the
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: reason that was scripted that waste so that we can
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: get the finalists in the King of the Ring to
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: come out. And so that brought out jay Uso, who
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: did not come through the crowd. He came down the aisle,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: everybody was yeating, comes down to the ring and he
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: was about to run it back Gunther cut that off,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: which is more than Oba Femi did on Monday. Remember
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Obafemi on Monday. He's like, basically he was talking shit
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: to Jay like we're not going to have that, and
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Jay just fucking ran it back anyway, and Oba didn't
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: do anything. Gunther was like, yeah, we're not doing that shit,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: so he didn't run it back. Jay said that he
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: was going to keep it short and sweet, which is
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: the only way that he can cut promos because he's
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: so blown up by the time he gets out there
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: it can't be any other way. Tomorrow night, he's punching
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: his ticket to SummerSlam when he becomes the King of
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: the Ring and he looks at Cody. He says, Cody, look,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: you said you're easy to find. I'm gonna pull up
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: on you as Summer Slim. That's your warning shop bam.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: He looks at Sammy's ain and he says, you my dog,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: but if you get it, that means I got to
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: get you too. That's your warning shot bam. And then
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: he looks at Gunther and he says, I almost want
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: it to be you. You gets no warning shop, because
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna do you the way I did you at
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: WrestleMania for the World Championship, and I tapped your ass
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: out like a little bitch, which they censored on the
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: USA network and I think Netflix feed, but in the
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: linked video it wasn't bleeped, so that's what he said.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Gunh heard enough. He went after him. Cody tried to
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: pull Gunther off of Jay. Sammy, they'll pulls Cody off
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: of Gunther, which earns Sammy a kick to the face
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: from Gunther. Jay with a super kick to Gunther, and
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: then a double superkick from cod Cody and j sent
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Gunther out to the floor. Then it came down to
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Cody and Jay and they were squaring up until the
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: lights went out and out comes Obafemi. So Obafemi struts
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: his way down to the ring, gets up on the apron.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Cody's in the middle of the ring. Jay is in
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: the ring too. Jay super kicks Cody, So now Jay
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: is having a stare down here with Oba, the two
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: finalists in the King of the Ring tomorrow until Gunther
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: gets back inside and he flattens Jay with a lariat.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Now he got Gunther and Oba in a stare down here,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: there's a match for you. Gunher picks up the WWE Championship.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: He walks towards Oba, who's still on the apron. Sammy's
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: aing those sneaks up from behind Gunther. He rips the
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: title out of his hand and he blasts him in
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: the head with it. But now Cody is back, so
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: he grabs Sammy from behind. He hits crossroads. Cody went
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to go pick up the WWE Championship. Oba now steps
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: into the ring and Cody did the dramatic look up
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: at the big guy as he got back to his feet,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: and Michael Cole pointed out that these two men have
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: unfinished business. Cody held up the championship and they played
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: his music and he and Oba refuse to take their
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: eyes off one another as the showing off the air.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I thought that it was a perfectly fine closing segment,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: perfectly fine, last little bit of hype for the two
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: biggest matches really on the card tomorrow. Obviously, the WWE
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: title match is going to close the show, as it should,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: because think about it, I mean, there's really only two
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: things that people are talking about. Everybody is talking about.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: Everyone who's going to be watching this show, and who
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: cares about any of this is either talking about who's
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: going to win the triple threat match, or are they going
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: to do a title change? Is Sammy going to get
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: the belt? Is Cody going to keep the belt? Right?
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: They're talking about that match, they're talking about the King
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: of the Ring. Is Brock gonna cost Oba? Is jay
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Uso gonna win the crown? Oh? My god? Anything but Jayu.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: So like they're all talking about one or the other,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: and so this was a way to shine a spotlight
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: on that. It's not really about anything, even the cage match. Like,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: no one's talking about the cage match. No one's talking
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: about Queen of the Ring, no one's talking about Tiffany
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: and Jade. It's all about these two matches tomorrow. That's
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: what the conversation is about. After this show, my sense
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: might take away from this. I didn't get the sense
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: that they have the balls to take the belt off
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Cody right now and put the belt on Sammy, which
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: is what I would do. I got the opposite sense
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: when this was over. I got the sense that they're
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: probably not taking the belt off Cody, Oba and jay
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: It really can go either way, you know, whatever you
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: think about how we got here, and this is not
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the strongest final. It's not the final I would have booked,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: and the King of the Ring, I can tell you that.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: But here we are. This is the match that we've
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: been dealt, and so I can't really sit here and
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: tell you one way or the other. I feel strongly
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: one hundred percent that Oba's gonna win or one hundred
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: percent that Jay's going to win. I can tell you
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: one hundred percent in my mind that we're going to
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: get a brock Lesnar appearance. That does not necessarily mean though,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: that it's going to cost oh. But he may try
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: to and maybe a backfires, maybe it fails, you know,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: and Oba wins anyway, and then they go with the
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: you know, the rumored idea of the pitch to, you know,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: have Oba wrestle on both nights of Summerslim and he
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: has two matches that weekend instead of one, which is
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: a very real possibility right now because I just cannot
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: see Brock having any other match on that show but Oba.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: But if Oba loses, that only leaves one outcome, and
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: it's an outcome that I don't really want to think about,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: which is Jay Uso winning King of the Ring and
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: challenging for one of the two top championships in the
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: probably Night two, although you know, and I can't say
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: that because when you know Roman is the champion, when
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Roman has that title, that is the top title. So
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I don't know what that Night two main event is
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: going to be. It really does, I guess, come down
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: to who Roman is going to work with. If Roman
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: is working with let's say seth Rawlins, that's probably your
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Night one main event. If they were going to do
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Roman and Oba, then that has to be Night two
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: because Oba would probably wrestle Bronck on Night one. So
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: it really does come down to like who wins King
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: of the Ring and then whatever championship they fight for,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: who does the other champion get, And then we'll be
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: able to get a better sense of like what that
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Night one main event is going to look like and
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: who's going to get the Night two spot. So we'll see,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: but I will say this much, I'll pay this a
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: compliment here. It does feel more unpredictable to call those
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: two matches than the top two matches we have at
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Forbidden Door on Sunday. There's a busy wrestling weekend coming up,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: so you got Night of Champions tomorrow and then you
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: got Slammiversary, you got Great American Bash, and you got
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Forbidden Door, all back to back to back. Basically, I
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: mean this overlap between some of them, but one right
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: after the other on Sunday and on that Forbidden Door show,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: the top two matches are this fucking twelve man six
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: on six cage match and the finals of the Menzo
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: and Hert tournament with will Osprey and Swerve Strickland. There's
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: no way will Osprey is losing that match, and there's
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: no way that MJF is going to beat Team Briscoe
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: because we know Mark Briscoe is going to get a
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: shot at mjf's belt. His team has to win the
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: match to do that. Those two matches are highly predictable
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: in that way. I can't say that about the Triple
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Threat tomorrow or the King of the Ring finally genuinely
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: could go either way. So I at least like that.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: I like that they're not one hundred percent predict I
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: know some people in the chat will be like, come on,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: solid Monster, you know jay Uso is winning. I don't,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: though maybe I'm just being optimistic. I don't. I cannot
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: sit here and tell you for sure. Of course, jay
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Uso is gonna win the King of the Ring. He
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: may not, so there is more, at least unpredictability to that.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: But with that, so ends the three hour era of
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: SmackDown at least for the next six months. Rest and
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: piss to three hours of SmackDown. You will not be missed. Now. Tomorrow,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: as I said, is Night of champions I will be
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: live when the show is over. The show kicks off
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: at one pm Eastern Time, and I'll be live on
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: YouTube here immediately after the show. Let me run through
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: the card real quick here and just give you my predictions.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Tiffany Stratton is going to be defending her Women's United
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: States Championship against Jade Cargill. I think we'll see Charlotte Flair.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I do not expect that we are going to be
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: getting a new champion, so there should be a retention
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: for Tiffany. The men's US title not going anywhere. Trick
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Williams is going to pick up the win over Ricky Saints.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Seth Rollins and bron Breaker are gonna do battle inside
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: of his steel cage. I'm going with Rollins for the win.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: I still think there's a decent chance it's gonna be
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Rollins and Roman at Summerslim. So if it's gonna be,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: then Rolins really should win this match anyway. Queen of
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the Ring Final Live Morgan against Eo Sky. Queen Eo
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: put the crown on her head. Just go ahead and
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: do it already. Eo Sky is gonna win that King
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: of the Ring. I gotta have hope, right, you gotta
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: have hope. I think we get King Oba Oba Femi
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: will be your King of the Ring. And then the
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: triple threat match for the w W Championship Cody Rhodes,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Gunther and sammy's Ain. I didn't get this impression when
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: this show was over tonight, but I'm gonna stick with
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: my prediction. I'm gonna say sammy's Ain wins the WWE Championship.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: That's what I would like to see. Now. If Sammy
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: z Ain does not win the WWE Championship and Cody retains,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: it may have to do with you King of the
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Ring and who wins that. Cody and j doesn't appeal
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: to me in the slightest, but we know Sampunk is
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: going to be coming back very soon, probably on that
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Chicago Rule which is coming up on July sixth, and
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: I've been saying for a while now that he should
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: be on SmackDown. All the reports recently indicate that he
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: is supposed to be on SmackDown, which is good. If
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: Sammy's Ain doesn't win the WWE Championship tomorrow, then that's
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: probably his Summer Slam opponent. I would think unless they're
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: going to put Punk in a title match. You know,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: if the king of the ring, let's say choose is
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: Roman and then they got to figure out who's going
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: to wrestle Cody. I mean, you still could do Cody
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: and punkin Summer Slim, But if not, I would think
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: punkin Sammy would be the match and that could be
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: a fun program. But I'm still pulling for Sammy to
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: win the championship tomorrow, and that is your night of
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: champions Guard And so let us go ahead and dive
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: into your super chats now, because I know you guys
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: have a lot of questions, and again, if you have
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: questions or comments comments about the end of three hour Smackdowns,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: let me hear him. Let me hear him. Oh on
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: to night we go from the funeral service, he into
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: a full review as we wind down here, very hot
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: very hot in ear right now, Joseph Stewart's is having
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: a good Friday night. I know that. And he apparently
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: still have a new Supergirl movie and liked it. So
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: you're the one. Yeah, I've heard that movie is not good.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I have no interest in seeing it anyway. But I'm
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: not into Superman let alone. Why would I see Supergirl.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I don't give a shit about Superman. What the fuck
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: am I going to see Supergirl for? But apparently it's
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: getting terrible rouviews. But he says Toy Story five is
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: his favorite movie of the year. I won't argue with you.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: It's not mine. It's not mine, But if it's yours,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: then that's a fine choice. Keep that suit, keep that
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: suit warm for the King of the Ring funeral tomorrow. Well,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: you guys are just a bundle of joy, aren't you.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Did I see Raven's recent interview where he talks about
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: the reason why he was on the cover of the
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: w CWNWO Revenge video game. I did not see that.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Actually I did see that. Perry Saturn has a new
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: YouTube channel and he's doing the Maven thing, you know,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: with the thumbnails and the topics he's covered. He did
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: a whole video on why why he can no longer?
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I guess support Tommy Dreamer whatever, whatever the title is.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: They know the formula. They've got the formula down. I'll
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: say this though, it's good to see Perry is healthy.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I know he had a rough go of it a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: few years ago. I guess he seems to be doing
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: okay these days. Joseph says, Raven said the guy who
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: worked on the cover of the video game was a
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: big fan of his and thought that he should be
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: on the cover. Oh, it's as simple as that. I
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: do remember him being on the cover of that game. Well, look,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I mean, you never know where you may have a
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: fan and that person's willing to pull strings and get
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: you on the cover of a video game. I hope
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: he got some residuals for it, he says. Do you
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: think after appearing on the cover that is when they
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: should have pushed Raven to the main event in WW
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: because he was on the cover of the video game. No,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I would say that if they wanted to push Raven
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: as a main event or they should have had a
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: good story for him. But yeah, again, up. He came
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: along at a time when the nWo was basically hogging
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: up all those top spots. And unless you were Sting
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: or Goldberg who got white hot and Raven wasn't a
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: baby face, there was no room for him at the top,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: Like he was not going to usurp Hogan and those
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: guys in those top spots as the as the top heels,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you know, the top villains in the company, Hogan and
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: all in Nash and god who else what I guess
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: the Giants as well, And yeah, that whole crew Savage
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: just wasn't gonna happen. Oh do you think Sting should
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: have been on the cover of the Sting? I'm sure
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: Sting was un plenty of covers surfers Sting or Crowsting.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of surferst Thing, but the bigger
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: star was Crowsting. I know people love wolf packs Thing.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I mean, that was fine. He he never should have
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: joined the nWo. Sting in the nWo was It was wrong.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: It was just wrong. It just never should have happened.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: Were you a fan of the Giant in the nWo.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: In the nWo, I was not. No Goldberg jackhammering him
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: on Nitro. I do remember that because I was just like,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: holy shit, I was wowed at when I saw that
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: he didn't just pick him up like he like held
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: him up there too for a few seconds. It's amazing, freakish.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: Do you think Kevin Nash will be remembered more for
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: his work in WCW or as Diesel in WWE? Depends
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: when you say work. If you're talking in ring work.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: He'll be more remembered for the in ring stuff he
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: did in WWE, for overall impact and character and everything else.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: He'll be more remembered for the nWo and his WW
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: his second WCW run. I don't want to mistake that
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: with his first run. YEAHU, she had a couple of runs.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: He was OZ, he was master blaster, right, master blaster
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Vinnie Vegas. I'm not talking about any of that stuff
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: if it just depends on what you're referring to, though,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: he said, do you think Scott Hall will be more
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: remembered for his work in WCW or his Razor ramone
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: in WWE? Again, you know, same thing as far as
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: his in ringwork, Razor ramone for sure. The thing about
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Hall in WCW that people will remember is he was
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: the first guy to show up to kick off the
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: nWo angle. That's what they'll remember about Scott Hall and WCW.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: By that point, his personal problems were just spiraling out
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: of control, and so he was in and out. He
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: was in rehab, he'd come back, he'd disappear again. It
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: wasn't a great It wasn't a great run if you
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: kind of look at the totality of it, especially the
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: latter part of it. So I would give you a
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: similar answer. Do you think Sean Michaels was the best
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: wrestler in nineteen ninety six? I do. And what will
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Stone Cold's legacy be or be remembered for compared to
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: the rocks legacy? I mean, I don't know. I mean
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: they'll both be remembered as the top two stars of
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: the Attitude era. Rock Now, his legacy is so much
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: bigger than wrestling at this point, you know, with the
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: stuff he's done in Hollywood, Austin will be remembered as
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: the face of the most popular period. I think it's
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: safe to say in the history of that company, you know,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: it was the rise of Austin and the rise of
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Hull Comania. Those are the two. Nothing else compares. Joseph.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: Thank you, Leo says, I'm so frustrated right now with
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: Keanu's booking as a fan of hers, that honestly feels
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: like they're giving up on her. They put her in
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: a useless tag team that did nothing for her, and
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: they gave her no momentum going into the match with Juliet,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: and then she got beaten to top it all off,
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: I honestly don't know where she would go from here.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: I don't look at it as a dea I could look.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: I'm not saying it's great booking. I'm just saying I
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: don't look at it as a death sentence for her.
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: I still feel like they have, you know, hopes for
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: her to be a player in that division on that show.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: What they're gonna have her doing next, Like as far
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: as who she's gonna feud with, I don't know. The
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: key is to transition her into something as quickly as possible, though.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: What you don't want to do is just get into
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: a situation where she just vanishes from TV. We don't
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: see her at all for weeks on end. I think
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: that would be a bad sign. Fast Eddie with the
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: four ninety nine says solo TNA is having a week
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: and it's not stopping yet because we're about to get
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: a two hour premiere of Jeff Jarrett and TNA on
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Dark Side of the Ring. That is true, although it's
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: not next week. It's the week after that Dark Side
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: of the Ring is back, and that first night they
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: are opening the season with a two parter on Jarrett
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: and TNA. It's actually a three parter, but they're doing
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: the first two episodes in week one. That's on the seventh,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: and then part three will be the following week. So
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to it. You know, I cover all
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: the episodes every season of Dark Side of the Ring.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: And I mean usually it's on a week delay. I
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: don't even I don't have Vice TV. I don't even
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: get to see the episodes until later in the week anyway.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: But I mean, these are you know, these are evergreen topics.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: It's not like, oh, they have to be covered the
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: night of. It's like, no, I mean, they're talking about
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: shit from twenty years ago, I think, twenty five years ago,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: thirty years ago. It's okay, But I do cover every episode,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: so I'll be covering those. Everyone always loved the Dark
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: Side of the Ring episode of reviews, so we're gonna
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: bring him back again. The Yatsugaratsu Missus Zombie act is
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: literally Vince McMahon. The walk, the mannerisms, the expression everything
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: you forgot to mention, the hair, the little white streak
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: in the hair. I mean, he just I didn't see
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: Vince per se. He just looked like a zombie. Are
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: you saying Vince just walks like a zombie? Okay U,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: super Pony? Is Ko getting mentioned at tease or Am
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: I reading too much into it? I think you're reading
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: too much into it. I think you're reading too much
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: into it. Now comes SummerSlam time, I don't know. Maybe
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: we're getting a little bit closer at that point to
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: him getting medically cleared. Maybe I believe he had surgery
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: a year ago in July, so I'm not expecting realistically,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: I'm not expecting him like SummerSlam time would be the earliest. Possibly.
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: I think there's a better chance we get Ko back
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: at the end of the year, And at that point
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: I would just save him for the Royal Rumble. If
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: you're going to wait that long, just save him for
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: like a rumble return. I just hope he's able to
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: come back. Justin does solo rejoin Roman in your opinion,
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: Is this a catalyst to The Rock coming back and
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: reports of Zilla coming How does he factor into all
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: of this? I mean, the Rock is not coming back
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: this year. He's not coming back. Does he rejoin Roman?
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: I still feel like at some point Solo, you know,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: he's protesting a lot about how much he hates Roman,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: But I still feel like he's gonna end up back
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: with the family. It may take a little while, but
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: I still feel like that's probably the end game here. Honestly. Also,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: no more MFTs. That is a celebration, you know. Yeah,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: we certainly had a little bit of a celebration here tonight.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: It's about damn time. Chris Mike Sell rewatched King of
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: the Ring ninety eight where Shamrock won and realized he
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: never got a WWF title shot. Is it a recent
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: thing where the winner now gets a title shot that
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: could have been beneficial for Ken that year. It's something
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: they brought back. It was something they did in ninety four,
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: They did it in ninety five, and then they stopped,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: so they didn't do it in ninety six, ninety seven,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: ninety eight, ninety nine. I don't think they did it again.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: Honestly until two thousand and two with Brock. Yeah, because
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Billy Gunn won King of the Ring, he didn't get
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: a title shot. I thank god kurd Angle. I think
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: kurd Angle. Okay, maybe Kurt Angle was in the title
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: match that year, but I don't know if it was
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: because he won King of the Ring so I don't
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: want a credit King of the Ring with that. That
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: was a triple threat match, by the way, but they
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: brought it back for Brock and oh two and then Yeah,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: it was something relatively recent that they started doing again,
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: and I think that's the way it always should have been. Yeah,
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: you do King of the Ring in June, and the
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: winner or winners gets a title shot at SummerSlam. I
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: just think it makes sense. It's kind of like, you know,
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: they build up Summer slim as like the WrestleMania of
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: the summer, and we have the rumble leading into Mania.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: The winners get to pick the champion of their choosing,
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: So why not have something similar for Summer slab Venom Kaitetsu,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: thank you for the five says. Could you see the
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: Tongans being placed in an underwhelming mangan Barbarian tag team?
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: Now that the MFTs are no more. Are you saying
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: that the Faces of Fear were underwhelming? Are you slighting
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: the name of the Faces of Fear? Yeah, I mean
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: this is basically the It's like a new version of
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: the Gorillas of Destiny. Basically, that's basically what they'll probably
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: end up being. Instead of tong Lowa, we get Tallatanga.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: They're all brothers trading one brother for the other. GMB
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: says Chelsea is bad in the rain to match was
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: forty eight years ago. Of the Penta match with fed
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: Chelsea feels like forty eight years ago. Yeah, but you
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: know what, Chelsea was in there with Jade, so I
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: don't want to judge it based on the fact that
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: she was in the room with Jade. Cargill. Tonight, MGM
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: Bollin of the nine ninety nine and joining late and
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: trying to play catchup has been banned by YouTube. Apparently
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: I tried to start from the beginning and it glitches
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: like crazy. I don't know it should be unless it
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: was just a weird glitch. Nothing's changed as far as
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: I'm aware. Optimistic Quest says wwe Gunther versus Oba, Oh,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: Gunther is the champion versus Oba Cody Punk versus Sammy
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: and Ko. Are you pitching that for SummerSlam or something
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: in the future. Cody and Punk against Sammy and Ko
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: would kind of cook. I'm not gonna lie, Joseph Brooks.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: There have been ten wrestlers to hold the WWE hold
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: the WWE title, I assume for more than three hundred
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: and sixty five days. Do you know who the ten are? Yeah?
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: If I sat here and thought about it, I could
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: tell you all ten. I mean, obviously Roman is one
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: of them. Hogan is another, Bruno is another. Savage. Savage
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: has to be right because Savage won the belt in
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: March of eighty eight. He dropped it in April of
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: eighty nine, so Savage would be. So that's like four
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: or five right there that I just named. If I
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: had time to think on the rest, I can come
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: up with all of them. I'm sure. I'm trying to
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: think from that period. Diesel would be one. I'm trying
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: to think from that period post Hogan. I guess the
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: rest might come from pre Hogan. Right backland, I just
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: gave you seven or eight of them right there, near
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: is with us four years cancer free, near three sixteen,
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: near three sixteen says he just whipped cancer's ass. I
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: love saying that near. I hope you're doing well. Thank you, brother.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: Happy to hear that. Asu Amy with the nineteen ninety nine,
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna learn Mandarin with my extra hour on Friday nights.
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: What are you gonna do? So though, I'm gonna try
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: to get some fucking sleep is what I'm gonna do.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm gonna do. It'd be nice
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: to get some extra rest, though, Thank you, Amy. I'm
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: so happy that SmackDown is back to two hours now.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: If only SmackDown wasn't such shit, that's still gonna be
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: a problem going forward, but it's an hour less of shit,
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: so I'm happy with that. Aaron says what would be
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: worse booking jpins Oba after Brock hold on second here
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: after Brock attacks him while the ref is down, or
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: Brock attacks Oba in the ref's site and Oba wins
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: King of the Ring but by disqualification. Wow, both of
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: those are pretty terrible, But I'm going with the one
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: that does not include Jay Usso winning King of the
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Ring and EJ. Slim. If Bischoff want to w CW
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: you and the nWo as separate brands. Why wasn't Thunder
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: the nWo show co brand? Did WCWNWO pay per views
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: started around then anyway? Because well, I don't know, I mean,
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: I don't recall the sequence of events. I know they
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: tried nWo Nitro and it was a failure. Maybe the
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: idea was to try it with Nitro, see what the
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: reaction was, and then if it got overwell, maybe they
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: would have transitioned it over to Thunder and may Thunder
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: the nWo Show. It was. It was about proof of
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: concept and the concept was a bust. You know. They
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: did nWo Nitro and as I recall it, just it
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: did bad numbers and they never did it again. Misfit
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: Wrestling Podcast, Rest in Peace, Joe Doring absolutely and super
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: Pony with a four ninety nine. What does Sammy do
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: at SummerSlam? He eats the pin tomorrow and doesn't win
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: the title? I said before Punk, if it's not going
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: to be Punk and Cody, you could do Sammy and
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: Punk underneath. I think that'd be a fine introductory program
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: for a month SmackDown. I just don't know what Cody
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: would be doing at that point. Cody and guntherer By
- 1:39:19Speaker 1: then Cody and Gunther is done, like it's exhausted. I
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: don't want to see it. I would feel the same
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: way about it that I felt about Cody and Drew, where,
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: for the love of God, you can't do Cody and
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: Drew again at WrestleMania. So I loves Gunther wins tomorrow
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: and then Cody wrestles gun through to get the belt
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: back and they do a stip. But it's like again
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: Cody and Gunther at Clash in Italy and SmackDown and
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: Night of Champions and Summer Slin, Like, at what point
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: is enough enough? Randy Orton. I don't know what's going
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: on with Randy Orton. He was supposed to be a
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: Fanatics Fest next month. They just announced that he's had
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: to pull out. They didn't say why. I don't know
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: what's going on with him anyway. The goal per the
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: Wheel tonight was four hundred and seventy five likes, and
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: I do believe that we have smashed that. We are
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: at five oh four. So it's good because I didn't
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: want to end the week without doing be the Booker.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: We didn't do it on Wednesday, but we get to
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: do it now, So let's go ahead and be the booker.
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, It is now time to be the booker.
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: Always a fine way to close out the week. Although
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: we do have another stream tomorrow. I feel like it's
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: been a while. Did we do be the Booker on Monday?
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: Or did we not do it on Monday? Everything's been
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: so out of whack lately with all the time and everything,
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: and some people have been able to join and all
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: these sporting events and everything. I just feel like everything's
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: been dead. It's depressing. This whole month has been depressing.
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: All right, here we go be the booker. We got
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. Oh my god, I can't
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: get away from it. If we're not gonna get it
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: one on one, damn it, you're gonna get them in
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: a tag team. I cannot get away from it. Cody
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: and Drew, a young Cody and Drew. We're going to
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: be taking on the MIT note. Noe. We got swerved.
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: Why did that happen? It was supposed to be the
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: miz in our Truth and then it kept going and
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: now we've landed on the powers of pain, which honestly,
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: I think we landed on the better team here. At
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: least this is a real tag team Two more streams,
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: he says, Fade says forbidden Now, I am not doing
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: a Forbidden Door stream. There will be no Forbidden Door
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: stream on Sunday, but there will be a Night of
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: Champions review tomorrow and then a podcast on Sunday. Double
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: or Nothing was honestly the best pay per view so
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: far of the entire year from any promotion. And I'm
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: sure I will be live after Redemption. I will definitely
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: be live after all in. I am not going live
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: after Forbidden Door. I'm not doing that. All right, Here
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: we go, Women's be the booker. We have Jamie Hater,
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: Love Jamie Hater, and now Jamie Hater's opponent. She gets
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: no opponent because we have to choose four women and
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: book ourselves a tag team match. Okay, question is do
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: we wipe the slate clean and start over again? I
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: think we have to. So Jamie Hater disappears and now
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: we get to pick four women make shift teams. Here
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: we go. We have Ruby Soho. Is she retired? Is
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: she basically retired? No? I wish her well whatever she's doing,
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: Ruby Soho or Ruby Riot, whatever you want. To call
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: her and Kyrie sane as a team. Okay, Ruby and Kyrie,
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: they are going to be taking on Ivy Nile and
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: Alexa Bliss. So who do we have on the other side?
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: We had Ruby and Kyrie against Alexa and Ivy, all right, Okay, Well,
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: because the stipulation came after the wrestler was chosen. So
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: when that happens, you wipe the slate cleaning, you start over.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: That's why Jamie had to go. And our main event
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: we get one more may hit. Bliss Fan's gonna have
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: a field day. Bliss Fan's gonna be very happy with
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: that match. Bliz Fan's not gonna be very happy unless
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: Alexa goes over though. All right, our main event, we
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: have the rain Maker bitch Kazuchka Okada where he belongs.
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: Now the question is are we getting a w Okada?
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: Are we getting new Japan Okada? I want new Japan Okada.
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: I want him to have his working boot zone. My goodness,
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: we have Okada in the main event against Yoshihiko. Oh
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: my god, it is a Yoshi Hiko debut. Here in
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: b the booker, I was, I was, I was stunned
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: there for a moment, I was like, I was speechless.
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: I was not expecting that. I can't There are people
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: in the chat who have no idea who or what
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: this is. This is Yoshihika. How do you not know?
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: How do you not know the legend of Yoshihiko. Yoshihiko
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: has had some classic bounce with kody Abushi in the past.
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. I trust in Okata to
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: go in there with Yoshahiko and actually pull off a
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: great wrestling match. Well, how's that for a main event?
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: Okata and Yoshihiko. I know some people aren't gonna like
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: that match very much, and some people are going to
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: love that match. I would love to hear a Cornett
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: review of an Okada Yoshihiko match. So you never know
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: what you're gonna get and be the booker. That's the
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: beauty of it. Luis much love to Venezuela. After the wind,
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: after the UH after the earthquakes that hit the country.
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: I don't know what that other word is that you
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: threw in there. Yes, much love to Venezuela. That was
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: very very sad to hear about all those earthquakes the
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: other day. They had one in Japan too, So long
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: to the Home Depot blood Line see you Never, and
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: super Pony says, can we expect a Michael Jackson level
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: rant when japins Oba tomorrow? Now? I mean, I'm half
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: expecting it. It's it's like you could, you could see
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: it coming. I'm hoping that they will have enough sense
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: not to do it. But it's not like most of
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: us don't already see off in the distance. It's it's
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: kind of coming towards us. It's like being on the
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: Titanic and you see the iceberg, but there's really nothing
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: you can do about it. Just take the hit ej
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: with the four ninety nine. Even though I don't think
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: she'll ever come to the States, Which company would Mayui
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: Watani do better in WWE or ae w AW? I mean,
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: that's not even a question. People like myself thought that
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: Julia was going to come in and be this force
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: to be reckoned with in the women's division in WWE,
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: and look at the position she did. Now, Carlos Galvan
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: with fifty five months of membership, Hey, solo King of
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: Wrestling versus the bar who you got? I mean, Kings
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: of Wrestling. That'd be a hell of a match, be
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: kind of hard to do that match, though, considering Claudia
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: would have to be in both of them on both teams,
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: I would have to go with Seamous and Cisorrow. Any
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: early Roh Claudio match is worth checking out. I mean,
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: off the top of my head, I can't think of
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: one that really stands out to me that I would say,
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: you have to go out of your way to see.
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: That was when I first got exposed to him. He
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: still I think he still had hair at that point.
- 1:49:17Speaker 1: It's very stringy. It's a good thing he got rid
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: of the rest of it, but none that I could
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: think of. I know he and Hero also had some
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: matches in CZW that were pretty memorable, but I wasn't
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: really watching CZW at the time. But if you go
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: back and check out any of the Kings of Wrestling stuff,
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: it's all great. I mean, you really can't go wrong
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: with any of those tag team matches. Brandon Proctor from
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: earlier forty nine months of channel membership says brother Solo
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: forty nine months so fitting opening to this review, you
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: won't be missed three hour SmackDown. Please don't come back.
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: Unfortunately it will come back, but until next year. Misfit
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: Wrestling podcast. Japan earthquake happened while Noah was having a
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: show on Wrestle Universe. Yes, I talked about that at
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: the beginning of the un Crown Wrestling show last week. Also,
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: Yoshihiko is a legend. That's why we have Yoshihiko in there,
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: because we need more legends in be the booker. Mayu
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: will never wrestle for Tony Khan. She doesn't like AW
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: and is super loyal to ROSSI. Yeah, I know, Tony
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: Khan is no rossi Ogawa fan. Neither is Kenny Omega. Well,
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: if she's that loyal, then I guess AW is off
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: the table. But I think if all was all things equal,
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: she would do better in A. If that wasn't the case,
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: she would do better in AW, then she would in
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: ww A. That's what I'm gonna say. EJ says, I'm
- 1:50:58Speaker 1: the biggest Yoshihiko fans, so happy people say someone could
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: wrestle a broom Ibushi basically did and it's better than
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: most WWE matches. I can't argue with you. Toy ain't nice.
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: How many interference will we see tomorrow night. I think
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: we're going to get some in the King of the
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: ring match. I think we will get it in the
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: Women's US title match. I'll keep it to those two
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: because you don't want to overload it, but I think
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: in those two matches story wise, it would make the
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: most sense. Boots with a five with the CMLL New
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: Japan Lucha Kingdom show in November, I'm thinking Tony Kahan
- 1:51:46Speaker 1: is feeling left out. There's still time. There could be
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: AW talents that have dual contracts who work for one
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: of those companies who like to like if Takesha wrestles there,
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: technically that's an AW guy, right or hatcha Serow. Alexander
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: with the four ninety nine Solo is channeling his inner
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: Samuel L. Jackson in pulp fiction by reading Bible verses
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: before shooting three hour Smackdowns Dead. I love it as
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: I tell SmackDown English, motherfucker, do you speak it? And
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: then I just emptied the clip into SmackDown. Very therapeutic.
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: Venom says he predicts ninety percent fuckery at Night of Champions. Oh,
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: I'm sure there'll be There'll definitely be some fuckery on
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: that show. Yeah, I mean, Judgment Day probably tries to help.
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: Why don't we just have interference in every match. Why
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: don't we just do that? Well, have Lil Yachti interfering
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: in the trick match, could throw Carmelo Hayes out there too.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: We'll have Charlotte do a running in the Jade Cargill match.
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: We'll have Brock run out in the King of the Ring,
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: We'll have the Judgment Day run out in the Queen
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: of the Ring. And then who interferes in the triple
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: Threat match. Kevin Owens will show up. He'll help Samy
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: Zain win. We'll have interference in every match on the show.
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: Johnny Gargana will help Sammy's Ain win the WWE Championship
- 1:53:31Speaker 1: Super Pony. Any chance Zach Saber Junior beats Kenny No? No,
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: I mean not if Kenny is challenging for the title
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: at Redemption, that would be very stupid. Why would he
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: lose in a match that was slapped together in two weeks.
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: That would be fucking dumb. So on the SoundOff on Sunday,
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: I will well, there's more more TNA news, and then
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: we'll run through that Slam Aversary card, and then got
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: some thoughts on the NXT Great American Bash card as well.
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: I saw the segment from last week to sit down
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: with Tony DiAngelo and Naraku, who you know as he's
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: as he's speaking in that segment, like literally it sounds
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: like a cutscene out of a video game. We'll talk
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: about that, we'll talk about all the fallout from Night
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: of Champions and your questions. Got a big fat mail
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: bag coming up this Sunday. But tomorrow we have Night
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: of Champions. As I said before, I am going to
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: be live. That will be I'm guessing probably four thirty
- 1:54:50Speaker 1: five o'clock, you know you figured twenty or so minutes
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: after the show ends, and we'll go live. We'll have
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: the full recap here on the YouTube channel. They'll be
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: a brand new podcast. And then we have the Raw
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: post show on Monday, which remember Raw earlier start time
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: on Monday, six pm Eastern, which means I'll be live
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: around nine, so a little bit earlier than usual, about
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: two hours or so, and then my Forbidden Door review.
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: All my thoughts on Forbidden Door will be exclusive to
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: the Uncrowned Wrestling show on Tuesday, and then all the
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: usual shows to follow, So a lot of content coming up.
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: We got Louise I hinted, I hinted, it on the
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: Facebook group on June first, who gets screwed over? Obafemi
- 1:55:41Speaker 1: gets screwed by brock Lesner. Well, there it is, so
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: saith Louise. He was apparently the first person in the
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: world to say that he even has the date. Have
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: I seen the nineteen eighty five vampire movie Fright Night?
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: Of course, it's a favorite of mine. The practical effects
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: in there are pretty cool, pretty cool stuff. EJ says.
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: I'm listening to Brett's book and Guy Evans Nitro on Audible.
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: I also finished Mike Greenberg's last book, Got Your Legends.
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: Thanks for the link. That's why it's there. If you
- 1:56:24Speaker 1: want to get yourself a free audiobook, you gotta be
- 1:56:28Speaker 1: like the dozens of people hundreds probably over the years
- 1:56:33Speaker 1: now that have taken advantage of it. And it's even
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: better if you're an Amazon Prime member, because then you
- 1:56:38Speaker 1: can get two free books, two free audio books audibletrial
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: dot Com slash Solo Monster. The link is always down
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: below in the description. If you ever forget it, you
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: can only use it once. And there's a lot of
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: great wrestling audio books out there. He just named a few.
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: Brett Brett's book is probably the best book. It's the
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: longest one too, and he narrates it himself. The Guy
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: Evans Nitro book is like the definitive book on that
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: Nitro era. Like he literally like people say, like, okay,
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: bring the receipts, he brings the receipts. So that's a
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: great one, as is the Daniel Brian. I mean, there's
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: so many great books. Navy says Solo is styling and
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: profiling in limousine riding. I took my limousine here to
- 1:57:22Speaker 1: the sound off castle, to the to the to the
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: funeral home. For the opening segment Misfit Wrestling Podcast, Naraku
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: told Eo his English sucks. Narraku's English is fantastic. I
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: don't think his English is any worse than some of
- 1:57:45Speaker 1: the other talents that have come over from Japan, where
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: it's their second language and it's hard, you know, it's
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: hard to be fluent in it. But they speak in soundbites,
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: so it sounds again, it sounds like a video game cutscene.
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: But with him, it's larious because especially like if you
- 1:58:01Speaker 1: remember the way that segment ended to sit down with
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: Tony d where it's like he has that evil laugh,
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: like he's like a cartoon villain, like an anime villain
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: or something super pony. Do you think a lot of
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: people will boycott Cody versus Jay If that's the main
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: event of night one, I'll probably turn off the show
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: when that match starts. To be honest, are people going
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: to boycott nobody to make any sort of meaningful impact? Now?
- 1:58:28Speaker 1: Thank you guys for hanging out with me on a
- 1:58:31Speaker 1: Friday night. Always fun. I'm glad you can join for
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: the opening service. We pay our respects to three hours
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: of SmackDown. I guess starting next Friday. It's a tape
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: show again. Next week. I don't know if the episode
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: will leak in advance the way it did this week,
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: but is a tape show. I will go live in
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: the normal time slid as we did tonight, and that
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: will be the first two hour SmackDown. That'll be the
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: July third episode. So we'll be back for SmackDown next week.
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: Be well, stay safe, have yourselves a great rest of
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: your night. I hope you'll come on back tomorrow late
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: afternoon Night of Champions. We'll talk about who the King
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: of the Ring is and maybe, just maybe we'll have
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: a new WWE champion. You never know. We'll find out
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: in less than twenty four hours. Until then, take care guys,
