- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: You're listening to building the Broncos with Nick Kendall and Carl Dumbler, Broncos' country's leading draft in scouting analysts.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Hit on over to milehighhuddle.com to sound off on all things Broncos.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: All right, all right, all right, all right.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome, man, it is.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_03]: A little after six PM mountain time.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_03]: I am Nick Kendall joined by Carl Dummer.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's Tuesday evening.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_03]: That means it's time for an episode of building the Broncos.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: Carl, we're here the last Tuesday before the Broncos play a playoff game.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully not the last one of those this season.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_03]: But...
- 0:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'm, man, I am so excited about set the balls.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_03]: Have the, have the nerve started to set in yet?
- 0:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's kind of the weirdness like when the by week happens, like, okay, not really in football mode anymore.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_03]: I gotta say, I'm not quite there yet.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_03]: I thought I would be once the bills were announced, or we officially knew we were gonna play the bills, but I don't quite have that, you know, anxiousness, yet that tends to fall, proceed a big game.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure Friday went on that work.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: and being very distracted at the idea that the game is on Saturday.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's definitely going to hit at that moment.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I felt it a little bit today because my wife, she was trying to be sneaky.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: And she's like, hey, what time's the game?
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: What, I don't know, she asked like four different questions about the game and making sure it's in Denver and I'm like, why do you care if it's in Denver or not?
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: And she's like, do you know how much tickets are going for?
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, yes, you're trying to see if you can get me some tickets, which is, I mean, amazing, but over 500 bucks a pop for the cheap sheets, cheap seats, probably not little rich for my blood.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: I would love to go out there and be a part of that, but I think I'll be watching at home with my kids for sure this week, but no, it felt a little bit nerves today.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's definitely going to amp up as the week goes.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was looking at tickets as well and it's pretty expensive to go.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: So, if you guys want to hook a brother up, of Carl and I think, no, it's just teasing, of course.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: And Scott's distracting me the back of this ninja, the cat hanging out, so always good to see kitty.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_03]: Denver Luke in the house, as I'm so excited, Denver is going to be rocking.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I almost, it's such a logistical, you know, you know what to get down there, but I almost wish I could go down to the stadium and just walk around beforehand,
- 2:30[SPEAKER_03]: Amped.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: I have no animosity towards the bills either so I'm not really worried about you know talking a little game at them and having some fun with them because they seem to be in good spirit so as long I'm not inviting him over break any tables but appreciate Denver Luke coming in here Denver is absolutely going to be rocking and just a PSA Sean Peyton again today said the most important time for fans to get loud is when the opposing team is in their huddle so I know it's kind of drives me nuts.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_03]: being the one of the loud annoying.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, and give me your tickets and bite me with but loud fans there.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_03]: People sit there and like talk with each other between no, like when they're in the huddle, you better be on your.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: feet smack in the chair in front of you being loud.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_03]: So Peyton called it out.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think we can do a call to action for that one.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_03]: A little PSA.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_03]: We got Camden coming in $20 super chat flash and orange on here says what's up Broncos country.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: Excited for the game against the bills.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: Do you guys think advanced Joseph will have a plan to stop the bills from attacking the middle of the field?
- 3:29[SPEAKER_03]: If the bills run 12 personnel on offense, their tight ends are really solid.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: He better because heck it might even be 13 personal or 22 because the bills are pretty darn decimated at wide receiver.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: They weren't good before the injuries happened at wide receiver.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: And one thing that's probably going to annoy Broncos fans leading up the April is that if you want a wide receiver, you're probably going to have to trade up ahead of the bills assuming Denver wins this week.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll see.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_03]: But what do you think?
- 3:56[SPEAKER_03]: Vance Joseph's plan to stop the middle of the field passing and the tight ends.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going to do do fine.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, when you can go and cover it on the outside, I think you can load a couple more guys in the middle.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think you can have, I would be shocked if the Broncos didn't use a spy, most of this game.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: Rush four have a fifth that's just kind of a spy waiting as they do the cage rush.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: And when,
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: when Alan tries to step, you know, to either side, that guy follows him.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: And that helps in the middle too, where you've got that guy that's just kind of hanging out, those short throws, he can be in those windows for you.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that'll be a decent plan if they go with that.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: And like said with the wider series being decimated, you can have, you can have PS2 on Shakir.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I know some people said, why don't you have him on one of the tie-dense?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: You can maybe do that some, but Shakira is actually their number one guy.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think the most receiving yards.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say James Cook, but that's a, okay, that's true.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: But why receiver wise, he's their number one.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think you had close to 800 yards receiving this year.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's where you say, hey, PS2, go be defense player the year, lock this guy up and allow us to really do some other things on this other end, allows you to have that, like I said, just a guy, kind of hanging out waiting to see what Josh Allen does.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: And just trying to hopefully close down some of those windows because I really think this is one of those games if the bills are going to win.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Josh Helen's going to have to have a Superman kind of game and he's got to do some of that with his legs.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: And if you can limit that to, I'd say, 60 yards or less, I think you've got a really good chance of winning.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: If he gets over 60 yards, then you might be in some trouble.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_03]: And he talked about man coverage.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_03]: My concern with man coverage, typically with the Josh Allen team is if you're defensive backs, backs of the line of scrimmage.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_03]: And you have an athletic quarterback out there.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_03]: can be a problem.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_03]: You turn around and next thing you know is up on your 15 yards down the field.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_03]: So luckily, I'm not wishing injury to him, but like fortunately for the Broncos, he is dinged up, you know, knee hand foot.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: Well, something, yeah, just his multiple injuries.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: So I think was the the word that was used to describe him.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, I'm expecting Denver honestly.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_03]: I want to be really aggressive on early downs and I don't think they have the juice on the perimeter to really kill you with explosive plays down the field.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm sending.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_03]: a lot of early down blitzes.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I know that we've really important about the cage rush, but I think you need to hit the quarterback and I think you need to attack the football and those runs can also effectively be run blitzes, as well, those blitzes can effectively be run blitzes.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: And as I don't know, if you had a chance to watch the bill's Broncos game last season, yet if, you know, obviously I got a lot of things going on, but last year the Broncos were just bullied.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_03]: infatently up front.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe a few extra bodies along the line of scrimmage if you're not afraid about the perimeter weapons burning you.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see what happens.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully you can't out here my hand solders, knees and toes and knees and toes says Scott according to Josh Allen's injury.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: So thank you so much Camden for the super chat.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: Michael Runkyo also coming in.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_03]: Good evening, Nick and Carl on building the Broncos.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_03]: Gobo Broncos.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: Give a member for five months.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_03]: Man, that is amazing.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_03]: Michael,
- 7:24[SPEAKER_03]: And our guy Papa bear coming in here saying good evening Broncos country appreciate just so much Papa bear I will say that we didn't have the other record on here as well.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: So what would you what would it be we're Broncos finished what 14 and 3 so we're hoping for 17 and 3.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_03]: my math is correct.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: I was promised to be on math.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully, you can't hear my terrible new screaming downstairs if you can.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_03]: I will mute myself here, but we got C-Chang in the house can't wait.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_03]: We got Doug in the house.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_03]: Now we're the favorites.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_03]: I don't like that, but I still believe we're going to win.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: We have the better coach and that's what will come down to.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't checked the line today, Carl, but I'm assuming the injuries at wide receiver for the bills have flip things, but I would imagine it still probably a pick-up.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it's like a half point favor for the Broncos, but I would have bet the lines are the plus 120 or minus 180 or whatever are really close for both teams on the whole.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: It really depends on what site you go to, because there are still some that have bills as the favorite one and a half points.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: There's a couple that have switched it now to Broncos being one and a half point favorites.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: It really is pretty much that toss up.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: And it all comes down to Josh Allen.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know, if you think Josh Allen's gonna be superhuman, then yeah, you bid for the bills.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: If you think the Broncos can contain him, then you definitely favor the Broncos as they have the more complete roster,
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: And, and obviously being at home, and like I said, that place is going to be rocking.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: I've already had Nicholas Alex Smith talked about it earlier today.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: How much he hates the Broncos and hates going to Denver.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: And his least favorite thing is when he hears incomplete after he throws an incomplete pass.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I just I love that.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: I love that that actually gets to the quarterbacks.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: to have to hear that every single time that the ball hits the ground.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, one who personally doesn't hit the ground, or any may say, and go Broncos country, only good to see it, or any, every single time coming in, let that.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, we'll try to only talk Broncos as much as we can today.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: But we're going to obviously talk some bills because that's the upcoming opponent.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe talk a little bit about who maybe we'd rather than face an ABC championship, those kind of things.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: But, uh, but no, it's great.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_02]: And talking about record,
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: that have happened to go 17 and three, three, no.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: Keep us nimble for us here, and I think we can go from there.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the lines may be changing, but I think the Broncos have embraced underdog, Carl, and we here at Mile High Huddle have really embraced underdog as well.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's right, the playoffs are here, guys.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: And underdog is the best place to get in on all the action.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: It's time to get off the bench and in the game head over to underdog.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, it's not just football, whether you're into basketball, hockey, or any sport in between to underdog is the best place to get in on all the action all season long.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_03]: Playing on underdog is easy.

- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: Heck, yeah, shout out the underdog, shout out the David Youngkin coming out here says we can't settle for fuel goals in the red zone like we did against the chargers.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the chiefs and jags as well.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_03]: I know that Peyton said that he has not been holding things back, but I hope to some extent in the red zone, at least as a few plays in his back pocket for must have situations.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I know those were must have games, but the games were never really in doubt.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_03]: Also, I mean, the jack same was.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: but also not a must win.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see what good to see David hope you're doing.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_03]: Hope you're healthy.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_03]: Appreciate your Keith comes in and says with another wide receiver going and I think they'll match PS2 with a tight end.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's possible though, match with a tight end, but I think it needs to be a tight end who's detached from the line of skirmish.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_03]: Like do you want?
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: PS2 effectively having to like set an edge or come down hill against, you know, a C gap with the way the bills run the football Jackson Haas with his shoulder.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_03]: Also, you know, I have that shoulder injury.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: Not me personally not me.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe have found a guy coming down, but I'm if they can cade or Dawson knocks are lined up in the slot.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_03]: Am I having him line up as a weak side linebacker?
- 12:51[SPEAKER_03]: probably not, probably not, personally.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think this could be a decent game for Baron to get some snaps in this one.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, his ability to shut down a tight end.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's been up and down, don't get me wrong.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: But he's had some really good games as well, getting in there on coverage on some bigger guys and showing his versatility to the hold up in those kind of situations.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I could see him getting a few more snaps, especially with we did find out today.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: Two sides of information.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: My class said that Brandon Jones maybe could be back for the Super Bowl and Sean Peyton pretty much said yeah, he's done for the year so pretty sure he's done and and that's where again, Baron maybe getting some more snaps there where you're talking about the game last year.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I hate to bring this up of PJ Lock.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: but he was not good and they were picking on him.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: They saw weakness and his ability if he got into one on one coverage and he got burned a couple times for some big place.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I think we're a better team overall.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think we can cover up some of that a little bit more.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: But I just, I think you're going to probably be looking for lock to come down and help more the run game if you can have him try to play a little bit more zone if you can and bear it and if you're getting into man coverage, that's the guy you went out there.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're really hoping at the same time, the pieces that you had in this offseason, specifically Hathanga and Greenlaw can help make it so lock isn't as necessary, you know, coming down and being that guy and also hopefully
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: Physicality up front like the last season Cody Barton.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: I know some people love Cody Barton, but the leak yardage the tackling the strength of physicality.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_03]: Not necessarily there from him, especially in comparison to green lions, or not this season for.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, full transparency, they're on worry, but just how I see it.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, we'll see how the Broncos match up.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_03]: You talk about Barry and you talk about McMillan.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_03]: I do wonder if this is a game that way be, especially if they're playing more 12 and 13 personnel, if we see them actually lean in to a little bit more actual base.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_03]: and taking that nickel off the field.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_03]: I know that nickel is the new base or whatever, but I mean, in a classic three four, maybe just to get more mass on the field.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_03]: I made a joke on Twitter some of the ones that they won't do that, and it's obviously a joke, but like playing a bearfront, I mean, they have a massive size of vantage up front as a chase mentions here, but bodies really can clog that up.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_03]: Even if they are bigger and stronger along the winus
- 15:29[SPEAKER_03]: We two more guys than them, more guys than they can block, especially if they're not threatening you on the perimeter with athleticism or speed, which they just don't have at wide receiver.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_03]: I think you can really load the box and dare them to beat you vertically.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I think so.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_02]: And this is where you're having to trust your cornerbacks.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: And you're going to have to live with the fact that there, there might be a couple of defensive passenger clearance calls that could be big in deciding the game.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: But like you said, you don't want cook or Alan being the guys that are beating you, especially in the run game.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's what happened last year with the like you said, the bully game.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I do think the Broncos are obviously they're better up front this year.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think, was Riqueh, he is playing some of his best football I've ever seen him play at the end of this season, and he's got some good size, length there that you could probably put in there for a few more snaps.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: DJ Jones, hopefully he can get in there.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: JFM, be in healthy, hopefully, you know, and I think that was part of the last year.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Brocos were just, you could tell at the end of the season, that defense was just gased, they were done.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: And especially guys like Zach Allen who had played close to like 90% of the snaps on defense.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: That didn't happen this year.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: These guys got a lot more rotation going for that defensive line.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_02]: Now I still worry about Bonito.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's a great player.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Don't get me wrong.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: But he is very small for the edge position and last year the bills targeted him over and over and over again.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_02]: Now, having Hufanga in there, back in help, where he's coming down, clogging some of those lanes.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: And like you said, I think the linebacker core is much better this year with Sturnaud, with Singleton back, maybe Greenlaw, we don't know for sure if he's gonna play or not.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_02]: He is practicing.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: He was in a limited role today.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: But those guys offer a little bit more than like you said, what we had last year with Cody Barton.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: and those kind of guys.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I feel a little bit better about our ability to stop the run game in this one.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, with the bills being banged up and we'll talk about that more as we go through here, but their their weapons are just I feel for them.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, you've got, I mean,
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: He was limited today with the knee and calf injury.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, like I said, Josh Allen, head foot, knee and toes, all banged up right now.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: You've got Curtis Samuel that maybe could come off I are.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: I doubt it.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then Shavers went down with his knee injury.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: You had Gabe, Davis.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Davis go down with an I.R.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: injury as well.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: So they're kind of, they're down to the last couple guys here.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you guys should hear, I think they only got three healthy wide receivers on the roster right now.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now, they're going to have a couple call-ups.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, I'm sure they're going to happen.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, yeah, Brandon Cook's who was available for all 32 teams and barely got picked up.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he had a great game this last week.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: But still,
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard for me to see him become a huge factor in this game unless Josh Allen, like I said, is just doing superhuman things, which I mean he can do.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's the one big thing here is he could just go out there and have himself.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: Five touchdown game because that's who he is.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, do you want to say a little a lot more people in the chat here, Pearl here, hi good to see a Mister firm coming in here.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_03]: They are talented.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_03]: Damn, very sports isn't the house good to see a great Smith.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_03]: One of our guys, one of our dudes always appreciate to come in and say, and hello, we got Sue, saying, hi, all excited for this game.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you should be unique prepping.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_03]: Others the dog, unique prepping in here.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go, good to see you, unique prepping.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we got Jordan Lewis coming in here, saying, even everyone, great to see a 6, 7, 6, 3, Mark, good evening.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: We got 805 Broncos fans in, hey, gang visiting you Wisconsin and have all day Friday, 2, 6,
- 19:40[SPEAKER_03]: In Denver, what are the, okay, I'm trying to figure out how you Wisconsin matches with being in Denver, but what are the main broncus activities we should do all there and where to eat.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be honest, I'm still pretty new to Denver.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think the, I'm going to be a total nerd here, but like the science museum and the botanical center are really cool and awesome.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_03]: There's always good exhibits there and you can always find some some good places to eat around here, I really like where I live.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: we have a really good brunch spot called for friends.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_03]: But I like a lot.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_03]: That's not downtown Denver, but it's good.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: And I really like Michi's pizza as well.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm sure some people in the chat in Denver for a bit could probably give you a little bit to what do you think, Carl?
- 20:25[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, botanical centers are hard to beat, right?
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, there's plenty of those kind of activities.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: There's some great parks there and Denver as well.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's supposed to be the warmest weekend by any means, so maybe not going out in the mountains and hiking.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_03]: It is.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: So we have no idea.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's true.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, oh, okay.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, uh, around then is when the Golden Retriever Festival is in Golden Colorado as well, which we're heading that way.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, so there you go.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think it actually is two six.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_03]: However, the Saturday is before this Super Bowl, we're going to drive over there and bring the Golden Retriever.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_03]: So that sounds like a good time to me.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but I'm biased.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, that's about it.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and it didn't, like I said, there's lots of things you can look it up, restaurants, galore, whatever you like to your arts content.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: I know my wife and I, we love, um, there's a couple of Indian restaurants.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: When my wife could still handle spice, she, she, she blames my daughter once she got pregnant, all of a sudden her ability to handle spice went way down.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: But there's a really, really nice response out there for that.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to, I mean, obviously we had a chance.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to get into, but if you said a junior hand or L.A.s.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: And my run into a couple bronco players.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: X players because Broncos are going to be busy with the Super Bowl.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_02]: They're not going to be in town.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: So plenty of options.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully you have a good time with that.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, we got Boss Man coming in, Chad Jins, and saying smash that like button for my guys.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you very much.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_02]: At least on my screen it says nine.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, which is who Fonga, which is great.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: But let's see if we can get up there to a little bit higher higher guy.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Chad says go to the stadium.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if the Broncos in the Super Bowl, I'm sure they'll have a big event watching this Super Bowl there.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_03]: We got Brian Cummins, that's Josh Allen is hurting.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yes he is.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: We got Jay Cummins, he says, let's go Broncos awesome to see a Jay appreciate you coming in and we have Justin coming in with a massive score prediction here.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_03]: He says 49 to 35 Broncos.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_03]: Justin, let's bet on this, I will take the under on the score in this one just because I expect this game to be very low possession.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think this is going to be given the how the Broncos want to run the football and I guess the bills also given what they did last season.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_03]: 46, maybe 46, 47, around there.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_03]: Let's ask our friends at Underdog.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_03]: But 46.5, 46.5, there you go.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_03]: I take the under, right now, just because I expect the game to be very slow, methodical, especially without the bills play defense.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: Just they want you to throw it underneath and run the football, but you can't run the football on them, it's just how do you generate explosives at the end of the day.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see, it's gonna be a fascinating matchup
- 23:25[SPEAKER_03]: I saw some comments in here about not on the rest of you meeting Josh Allen on the bills.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm also not underestimating, well, I'm not underestimating their offensive line.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_03]: I think people may be forget about how much they just took it to the Broncos last season.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that was like a more telling you what the play is and good luck stopping it, kind of imposing your will.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: And their defense while they are horrific at stopping the run, they're one of the best past events as a football, and now some of that's the given pull of football and scheme.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_03]: But they also don't give up many explosives.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_03]: Play a lot of two high safety shells.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_03]: And they tackle pretty well coming downhill in the past game.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_03]: how can Denver generate some explosives?
- 24:01[SPEAKER_03]: And to that point, to somebody else earlier, coming away with seven in the red zone, not three, super, super important.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out the last time the Broncos even scored 49 points.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's maybe been a little bit, but I mean, it'd be great if we saw that in this game.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, I think the Broncos have been
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: Especially over the last month or so, okay, playing that short game that we are gonna take an eight minute drive, take it down the field.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: Now, yes, they haven't finished with touchdowns.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, I'm hoping that's because John Payton hasn't been putting his best red zone plays out there because he's been saving a few of them.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that's probably part of it, because he has always been a very good red zone coach.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_02]: And,
- 24:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's always had a few different plays.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: There's one, because he's the last year of the year before, that I remember to Troutman.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: And for a red zone play, there was nobody within 10 yards of him.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know how that's possible in the red zone, but somehow Jean Payton drew it up, it was just a perfect call.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: And so I expect him to have a few more things up his sleeve for the playoffs compared to what he did in the regular season.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: And he's always done well, especially coming off a buy in the playoffs.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think he is four now at this point.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think he does use this week that that previous week to get himself ready with a few plays to really kind of surprise somebody.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: Now, sometimes he can get a little too cute.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's like one of my biggest pet peeves of his is like we're running down the field at a the few times that we've had a really good run game.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: And then we get to the red zone and all said it's like, hey, let's try a triple reverse and have a wide receiver throw for a touchdown
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anyway, wanted to keep going down the chat.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: We've of course got Shannon coming in with the 1999 super.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you very much for that saying good evening looking forward to a great match up this weekend, hoping the Denver D proves to be Superman's kryptonite.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_02]: Think it will come down to the last quarter.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Nick, your golden is adorable.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, your dog knows that, too.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, oh, I'm too beautiful for this.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's a good boy.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_03]: He's so naughty.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: Got it.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: I love him, but he's like, he knows stuff he shouldn't have.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_03]: So he picks up like the baby toy or mulch outside and then he'll grab a tennis ball.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_03]: So like he'll have the thing that he should have front and center.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_03]: So that's all you see.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, why are you acting like you are than you pull
- 26:40[SPEAKER_03]: smart comes with nottingness with some of those dogs.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we got to thank you so much, Shannon.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_03]: Appreciate you.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, hoping that the Denver D proves to be Superman's script tonight.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_03]: And coming back to that point again, Carl, the Broncos stopping the run and sending bodies.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_03]: The last game, the Broncos, the Broncos super power this season other than, you know, Sean Payton play calling and bonus of wooden sacks, but they're super powers that are past rush.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: I think all
- 27:10[SPEAKER_03]: You really can't pin your ears back and rush the pastor effectively if it's constantly second and three third and one.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_03]: So I think there has to be a little bit of aggressiveness from this Broncos team on defense with their pressure coverage and everything like that just to force some third and second of the long third and longs because the bills were just constantly ahead of the sticks against the Broncos last season and when you do that, you completely nullify.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_03]: completely nullify the past rush and the speed that you have on the edge.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm looking for them.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe replicate a little bit.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: They did earlier last season and send the first and second down, blitzes at a very high rate.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm fine with it.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, I don't want to see the death by 1000 cuts.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like we saw last year and the play that sticks my head.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was Gabe Davis.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: where he stepped over PS2 at one point, it kind of passed right down it like the two-yard line it just stepped over PS2 and like kind of looked down at them and like yep we're dominating you right now and like I said they they they played bullyball they the new you can't stop us even if you know it's coming you can't stop us and you you really hope the Broncos are living off of that
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: and trying to use that to motivate them this year.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: And it sounds like the players have been talking about that that we have not forgotten what happened last year.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: And the great thing also is this is a different rock esteem much better than they were last year.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: More prepared, more ready for the big moment.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think there were times last year that the especially younger guys, it just looked like they were almost a little too hyped up.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: And we saw some bad drops that weren't happening
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: Even a couple of our veterans, like Sutton, he had a couple of really bad drops in that game.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Broncos had a 23% drop rate in that game, which is just crazy talk when we're looking at on target passes and just how many drives were stopped because third down, keep third down plays.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect pass, God drops it.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I think this year, the nerves won't be quite either as much.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe because of the home crowd and how exciting that's going to be, you're going to see them a little bit amped up early in the game.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think they'll settle into it pretty well.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, I think that defensive line after getting embarrassed last year, I think they're going to be more than ready.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: Take on this challenge and have a new fonga.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that really is such a difference maker.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: His ability to come down and make negative plays in the run game.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: We did not have that last year.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_03]: No, and again, so cliche and broken record from me, but it's probably going to come down to turnovers at the end of the day.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_03]: This bill's team, which kind of the Sean McDermott, I don't think it's very talented defense other than AJ Appanesa, because he's the best player ever because he would die a while.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_03]: But other than AJ Appanesa,
- 30:12[SPEAKER_03]: and really they have some good guys, but there's just not an overly talented defense but man, McDermott puts them in a good situation to make plays on the football with their bracket coverage and eyes on the football and sometimes it's a little flookie, right?
- 30:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think in that Trevor Lawrence, the jack's game, some of them, they're tipped in the air, a jack's from down with it, but sometimes you make your own breaks, too, and in one single game elimination, that can change it.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: So really hoping that the Broncos can take the freaking ball
- 30:41[SPEAKER_03]: You have to be patient in this kind of game.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know, not hunting too much if they are giving it underneath.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_03]: I wish Denver had a little bit more.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_03]: after the catch playmaking on the roster than they have, but this is one where there should be some space, can you make a guy miss and can you protect the football?
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: That is huge.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_03]: I know Sean Payton's emphasized it a lot.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_03]: There's only been like one team in the last 30 years that won the Super Bowl with a positive turnover differential in the postseason.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_03]: So that's part of, you know, be better being lucky than good sometimes, as well, because turnover is our pretty volatile, but
- 31:14[SPEAKER_03]: Got to protect the ball.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_03]: You got to take the ball away and I think that starts with, honestly, I think it starts with the aggressiveness from the defense overall.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think they need to hunt in this one.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like they played a little bit more passive here the last few weeks.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing to be afraid of on the perimeter here and if you play that way, everyone's in a while there's a chance they'll burn you up, tip your cap, but I think I'm hunting havoc and I'm hunting splash plays from the defense in this one.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think Sean Payton said today that they looked it up, and the bills have only won one game over the last few years where they had that they lost the turnover battle.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: So like I said, I mean, that's a big thing.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_02]: If you can get a couple turnovers and really turn things around and you can protect the football.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: That's how you go win a game like this and you're hoping maybe this home crowd getting them a little fired up guys running the wrong route things getting a little confused confused out there and this is why like you said earlier.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: out getting crazy during the huddle or maybe a few words get missed and the players like oh, I thought I heard this and and that could really make a difference here.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why it's great to have the home field advantage compared to last year being on the road in in Buffalo.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: So it should be a really good game.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't expect this to be a blowout either way.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think it is going to come down to the fourth quarter or somebody said earlier in the chat.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, that's it'd make me nervous.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Josh Allen is very good in pressure situations.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now, his team has let him down.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, you think back to that chiefs game where they had the lead with 13 seconds left or whatever, 16 seconds.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: And somehow the chiefs went down and scored and won the game.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: And even last week, I think of the fact that they scored, it's like, oh crap, there's over a minute left on the clock.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_02]: Now, yes, the turnover happened, but it was kind of one of those maybe you should have knelt one down.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's the chance you take.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: But still leaving a team with a minute, minute five, whatever they had left, that is flame fire there.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: But Broncos this year, in those fourth course situations, no team is more prepared for those kind of moments than the Broncos right now.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: And so it'd be, it's gonna be a fun one for sure.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully our team, like I said, comes out on top, the good guys win.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm starting to get nervous, man.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about this.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm starting to actually get nervous about it, but it is.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's just because it's been so long so we've had such a big game and an opportunity to go out there and win like this.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: And this is the AFC is just so wide open right now.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Alex Smith earlier was talking that he thinks the Broncos are the fourth worst team left in the AFC.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: He thinks we're the worst team left.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_03]: Worst team got the number one seed.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_03]: I guess that's not a bad worst team to be, but not the worst.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_03]: Mekoron Keeho coming in and gives it 10 mile high hotel memberships.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much, Michael.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_03]: Hope you're doing well down there in sunny Tucson.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: And one thing we haven't even talked about at all, Carl.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_03]: I've been really focused on the, the bill's offense for us.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos defense, because that's obviously the marquee matchup in this one.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_03]: And we've talked a bit about Bonyx and the past game, but Broncos running the football.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_03]: Are they actually good enough?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_03]: as a rushing offense.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_03]: So subtract the running back rushing offense, man.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_03]: So subtract the bonix scramble, which have been a big part of the offense here.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_03]: And I like that as a get out of jail free card, but it's not the basis of an offense, at least I wouldn't want it to be.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're going to get yourself TKO.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_03]: If you are running around in this league as a quarterback, but.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_03]: can the Broncos running back, run game, take it be potent enough to take advantage of the person Ella Bills have and the style of defense that they play.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's, that is gonna be key.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_03]: And the Broncos actually due to the bills, what the bills did to the Broncos last season, upfront, I don't know.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_03]: The Broncos getting a buy week,
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: bills playing a very physical jagged team last week.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_03]: And Denver also, let's just call it as it is.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to let's hand it to them by the chargers in that week 18 game.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm hoping that they come out with something to prove.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I think this game mainly going to be the Broncos defense.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: I think versus Josh Allen, but the Broncos run game.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_03]: Can we get a little bit more down to
- 35:48[SPEAKER_03]: Execution and can we punish them out of their two high safety shells where they have to start to cheat and put more bodies in the box.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think we see it without JK Dobbins, but this is this is the time when they need it.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_02]: Are you starting the clock went in this game or Harvey?
- 36:11[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it matters.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_03]: You've probably give one of them the first drive.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_03]: The next one, the second drive, obviously, probably not put it in McLaughlin in the third downstuff.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, we've just sprinkled in baby today.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: They're all never get that right, because the draft stuff is just in my head as baby.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_03]: But I think you probably kind of like, the first four drives granted at that point, the game might be halfway over with how these teams play.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: I want to kind of get a feeling out early on and then you go at the hot hand.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's probably the move overall.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_03]: And the Glaflon has just been so much more efficient than Harvey has.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_03]: But Harvey brings a lot more of the explosiveness in the past game ability.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: And he's a better past protector at this point than the Glaflon is too.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: So we will see, but man, I just turned into an old ball coach, Carl.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: stop the run and run the ball and get yourself in positive game scripts and situations down to down.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_03]: And you can take advantage of this team.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_03]: But if they're leaning on you with their offensive line, if you're constantly third and long, not a recipe for success.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's a recipe for turnovers and getting a game at a hand.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a nice thankfully there.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_02]: Their front seven is actually pretty banged up, too.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: And we're talking about white or silver injuries.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: They've got, I'm trying to remember, who all is on the epinesis, on there.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: They've got Milano's on there, Bernard at the lineback or position, Brazil, at the defensive end position.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: So you've got a couple guys banged up for them in that front seven that you can maybe push them around when they're not quite ready.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully by the fourth quarter, you've got them worn down.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: And that's where Denver Luke coming up with a 199 saying I feel like we're the villain that will win.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, hopefully that's the we just take their soul by the fourth quarter and your soul is mine.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, back to the Mortal Kombat days of my old video game days.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully that's the case for the Broncos.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: Because that'll be great.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mind being the villain.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see exactly how we could be the villain.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_02]: Since we have been kind of nothing for a while.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: And usually by then, everybody's like, hey, this team, it's great to see them finally coming up.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: And then you go win a couple seasons and people are going, oh, wow, I hate you again.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I will say, like I said earlier,
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: Bill's fans, I got to give them credit.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: They are some like the nicest people out there.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: You try to start an argument.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: You try to start this, hey, smack talk with them.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: And they're like, oh, thanks.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it'll be a good game.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, no, come on, get into this a little bit.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm used to the chiefs and raiders fans.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, if you've seen the raiders fans, they're all out there singing the Fernando song.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, they're putting on like whole concerts and Vegas just singing that song because they think they're getting Fernando
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: Hardness like probably, but part of me would be really funny if he decided I'm going to go back for another year Can't even go back for another year.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he does have another one.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm okay Well good for I mean I like Mendoza and he's such a weird Culture fit with the Raiders, but maybe that's what they need well, so we'll see how that plays out But no draft talk Carl.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_03]: We were always off even though this draft looks
- 39:25[SPEAKER_03]: Not very good.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe trade those picks for a veteran.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_03]: Dany's comes in and says this game will depend on defense defense with championships if they can keep this close and stop Allen from running.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_03]: We win the game.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think so too.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Allen, he's going to make some plays.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's super important though to body blow in this one.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_03]: Hit him a lot.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I'm leaning into the aggressive play now.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_03]: What is scary about that is
- 39:53[SPEAKER_03]: Brady are not who's there often Joe Brady.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_03]: I said Brady could Joe Brady might, you know, if you are being really aggressive Titan screen cook in the screen and luckily Ty Johnson's out of this one.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_03]: He's a really good pass catching back.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_03]: But I think you live with it a little bit simple.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm now
- 40:09[SPEAKER_03]: stop the explosive plays, you're going to win more often than not, but there's something to be said about getting sacks and really taking it to them upfront.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_03]: So, and especially with the fans are going to be so stoked and electric in there, hopefully being allowed in the huddle, again, PSA from Sean.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to share that one loud and clear, but again, I just I want to dictate upfront.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like Denver has not done that as much since the
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: test that a little bit you know and like I said if he's got a couple bruised ribs get a couple hits I'm not trying to say enter the guy I'm just saying like that's where you get a guy that's maybe getting it out a little bit quicker than he should be maybe overthrowing a couple passes because he's afraid to get in that extra hit whatever it may be I mean Josh Allen he's top guy I'm not trying to question his toughness by any means but you watch the the chargers game Justin Herbert halfway through that game that guy looks scared
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: He was his eyes were going further and further down.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: Let's keep everything short if we can.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: And he had offensive Patriot fans were like, oh man, our defense dominated that game.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: And they were good.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: But there were many plays that wide receivers were wide open and Justin Herbert just didn't see him because that front seven had gotten to him.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, again, that's defense too and great.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm just saying there were plays to be had.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: They just missed him.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what you hope for in this game
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: I guess that you get aggressive, especially early in the game, and you hopefully get them to where he maybe makes a bad decision later in the game.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: Or a big fumble happens, you know, it's great.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: Stripsack in week 18, let's keep that going, Bonito.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see, let's see one per game here in the playoffs.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_02]: That'd be great.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: Orange Crush comes and say, hopefully, Bonito brings down Allen.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: If he gets to him, he's tough to bring down.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's the other thing.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many times where you can get to them, but he'll just kind of push the guy off to the side or step to the side and what you thought was gonna be a big play for the defense turns into a big play for the offense.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: So you got to be disciplined, you got to break down, you can't just hit the guy, you got to actually wrap up, take him down to the ground, and rally.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: Lots and lots of guys get to the ball.
- 42:26[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_03]: no leak yardage, either orange crush, yeah, Benito brings down Allen.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_03]: If he gets to him, he's tough to bring down.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm hoping for a Zack Allen masterclass.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the chaot, the Zack Allen first team, all pro.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_03]: And if you can do well enough on those early downs to get that into your pressure there, big on the inside, but they're also a little heavy footage, especially Torrance, they're a right guard.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_03]: So play the games, I'll be really curious to see.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_03]: What Vance Joseph has dialed up here.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not worried at all about him taking virtual one hour interviews in the by week for the Broncos players weren't even in the facility either.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_03]: We got Justin coming in here.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_03]: Good to see you just and over on Facebook.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_03]: Click the thumbs up if you guys are joining us today.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_03]: And Carl, I'm going to get a few questions here before we wrap it on up.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_03]: Who are you predicting to be your ex-factor in this matchup for the Broncos on?
- 43:14[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do offense Andy offense.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_03]: So offensively I'm going to go first.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to steal it and I'm also going to cheat immediately by setting the rules to the game.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to tell you that I'm a cheat my x factor in this one is going to be Marvin Mim's junior.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think he is somebody that he's volatile obviously week to week, but I would love to see him get implemented a little bit more into the run game in some design maybe he takes a sweet maybe it's a screen something like that so you get them going.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: horizontally, not just only taking it to the bills as well, and also the fact that he can obviously create some explosive plays down the field that's key, and then the special teams aspect.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: So that's where I'm cheating.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm also lumping in special teams, but I think he is really a massive X factor in this game.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he's ever going to be a great wide receiver, but if he can hit, you know,
- 44:02[SPEAKER_03]: two catches for 50 yards and have a couple big returns and a couple runs as well.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'd be way about it.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: So I think he's a massive one in this game as a really a chance to tilt it toward the Broncos favor.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, we saw what the Jacksonville game.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: They weren't having great success in the run game, actually up the middle against the bills.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_02]: It was getting to the edge.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: And Marvin Mims, that's what you're doing.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_02]: You're getting them on those sweeps.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you got them in shotgun next to the quarterback, quick out, whatever or quick screen fast to them.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: And because the bill's defense, you're right, they're disciplined.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_02]: They've got a good secondary, but they are slow.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like by NFL standards, I should say.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: They're all fast with you and me.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: But they're one of the slower defenses in my opinion.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think you can get to the edge, you can beat them.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: I will go.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go surprise him one here.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go bin powers, wow.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, same or?
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: Just because him coming back, and like I said, this run game, he has not been great so far in his return.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping maybe these two weeks got him a little bit more healthy.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_02]: Got some of his strength, some of his confidence back.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: And that means really kind of those interior three guys, but I'll just say bin powers to kind of clue it off.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I think if those guys can dominate in the middle and really get a nice push going for you, or if you are getting, you know, sideline to sideline get into that second level and and given the running back some easy lanes, I'm you watch that jacksville game.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_02]: There's only stats out there that show jacks until dominated that game.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_02]: Just the, and just the thing you again for the, for the stars, but they're, there were lanes that were five, six yards wide open for the running back to run through I think Harvey can see that and if you give him a little bit of space and get him up to full speed, good luck out there.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think you're wrong, that's one Harvey has the longest time behind the line of skirmish of any qualifying running back in football.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: Second.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_03]: Second.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_03]: Second.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_03]: Second still.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why I'm saying, if you can get in the couple really nice lanes to run through, then you're talking about those explosive run place, that'll be huge.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: And we got another person coming in with their choice.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: We got Michael Ronkio with the $5 super.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you again, Michael, for all the difference for the memberships today.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: Great choices.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: I was probably going to go Hufanga, but now you've taken it Michael.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I got to do somebody else here.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_02]: But no, I do.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think Hufanga is going to be a really big one.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's that guy that, I think there's going to be a couple of times he gets his hand on the ball.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: Look, it's through causing a fumble, white, an interception opportunity, and if he can come down with those, and we hasn't done it this season.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: But those could be what changed the game here for the Broncos.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_02]: And so like I said, then interior offense flying.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_02]: They were just so bad in that last game against the chargers.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said earlier, they've got to take that personal and say, we're not let this happen again.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're not having our quarterback after run for his life because we missed a wide open guy coming at him.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_02]: And defensively,
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: the other side, since, since Vonga's taken, I mean, Zach Allen's a pretty easy choice, but I'll go, I'll go John Franklin Myers, back in practice, because I do think that the bills are really going to key in on Zach Allen, and they're going to try to dare anybody else to beat him.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: And John Franklin Myers, he has taken advantage of that big time this year.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: If he can do that again in this one and just be a huge dominating factor, and again, he's another guy playing for a contract, this biggest stage that there is other than, well, I mean, make it further in play, I'll see the stage gets bigger.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_02]: but all eyes are gonna be on this game really big opportunity for him to go add to his already great resume and show hey I'm a big time player the biggest moments, pay me big time money.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he could be a real ex-factor because I think he's gonna get a lot of one on one opportunities.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good call.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody in the chat mentioned, 21 needs to have a big game.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_03]: I believe that's Riley Moss.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_03]: So he could be an ex-factor in the negatives, like Bills are struggling, but then there's a 50-yard pass interference.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it should have been called, hopefully we kind of have the effect that typically happens in the playoffs where
- 48:42[SPEAKER_03]: across all sports referees kind of swallow their whistles a little bit and let the what the guys play but we'll see one I'm going to go with here and just for like poetic justice is Ellis and I know that he's been the backup of Cooper's been struggling of late I think he only has half a sack since the by-week and he's just feel like he's been cheating on his run assignment as well and Jonah brings a little bit more
- 49:06[SPEAKER_03]: Physicality I believe when he plays in last season he got knocked out pretty early from a pulling up from a puller on the shoulder to end of his season and I think you got to be able to send in waves so the key actually.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_03]: Scratch that I'm a I'm changing my answer because I can't go to the whole first 30 minutes of the episode and then talk about that.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_03]: The X-factor, I think, is DJ Jones.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_03]: They sign in that big contract.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_03]: You brought him back.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_03]: They are big on the inside, you're not, but DJ Jones is hard to move.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_03]: And when he makes plays and havoc in the backfield against the run game, the past rush feeds off of it.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm gonna go with DJ Jones on this one, it was not an amazing last season in the postseason that I recall in that bill's game, but,
- 49:54[SPEAKER_03]: key to the game is making it be third and long for Josh Allen.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_03]: So I can't not pick one of those most hapless considered roach.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_03]: Wasrike as well, but those big guys up front, I mean, you the bills, I think each of their offensive linemen is like 330 pounds.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_03]: They need to show up and they need to not be moved and free up their guys up front as much as possible.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_03]: So the other X-factor in here, Supering's attention to it.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_03]: Fans, big change there with the Broncos being in home really excited for this game 230 pick him game for the Broncos 230 central and shout out to the fans as well going to be there.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_03]: It should be a heck of a time and what an opportunity for the Broncos as well.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_03]: Man, turnovers turnovers turnovers.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_03]: Can you protect the ball?
- 50:40[SPEAKER_03]: Can you take it away?
- 50:41[SPEAKER_03]: You can win a lot of freaking full ball games that way.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_03]: So hopefully then we can figure out how to do that and this game Carl any final thoughts before I read us on out of here with what hopefully is not, which will not be our last Tuesday show covering this Broncos team.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_02]: All right, I feel actually, I'm nervous, obviously.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_02]: anything can happen in these kind of games.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_02]: And especially when you got maybe the best player in football on the opposite side, they're always gonna have a chance and every game.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_03]: Miles Garrett's over there.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_02]: Fine, fine, he gets in the conversation.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_02]: But, okay, maybe biggest impact in the sense of most valuable player.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, most valuable, there we go.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: But at the same time, I really do feel good about the Broncos.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: I feel good about where they're at.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think that they worked very hard to correct the issues that they had last year and bring it in guys like Green Lawn and Fonga.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think the one thing that makes me a little bit nervous, I said the run game, but also our weapons just coming down with the football when there are good passes and not having drive stall because of stupid things like that.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_02]: But I do, I feel really good about our chances in this one.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the bills as bad of a matchup as some people are making it out to be.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now, they've got that great offense blind like I said, they can play bully ball.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: And if that happens, probably end of our season.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_02]: But I think the Broncos are going to be rested.
- 52:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think these guys are ready to go hit somebody.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I just think that defensive line, that defensive front is really going to show up big in this one.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_03]: I hope so.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, at the end of the day, I know everybody loves your weapons and everything like that, but football's a game play a long line of skirmish and last season the Brock was to not win that matchup when they did it almost every other game leading up to that.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see what they can do there and we'll see if we can protect the ball.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_03]: So, appreciate everybody coming in here hanging out with us today.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: I got Michael Ron Kiew, of course, Denver Luke.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_03]: Camden coming in, $20, appreciate you so much.

- 53:56[SPEAKER_03]: Heck, yeah, it is.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_03]: Carl, one more thing.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_03]: Final score prediction.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_02]: I will go.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_03]: Broncos 24, bills 20.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_03]: Man, I'm gonna go Broncos 17 bills 16.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_03]: Tight you know what, come in down there.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: Man, I got some hope, I'm just saying.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was gonna say, I'll be sweating bullets.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: I won't stop shaking for about a week if that's what the game looks like.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_03]: Man, he has 17, 16.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's gonna be a good one.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: Appreciate everyone.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's been a hell of a season.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see you next Tuesday.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_00]: Go Broncos.
