Four batches of Zyrtec (Cetirizine Hydrochloride) are being recalled after being found contaminated with ranitidine — the ingredient in Zantac — which could trigger life-threatening allergic reactions like trouble breathing, swelling, or loss of consciousness. The contamination was discovered by a pharmacy tech who noticed unusual red dots on the tablets. Affected lots are GY825029, GY825030, GY825031, and GY825032 — all 100-count, 5mg bottles.
