- 3:53as we go boldly to the throne of grace on tonight. Dear Heavenly
- 3:59Father, in the matchless name of your son Jesus, we come boldly to
- 4:04your throne tonight, God, thanking you for waking us up this morning,
- 4:10thanking you for giving us food on a table and a roof of our head.
- 4:15Thank you God for touching our body in a miraculous way. And now
- 4:19God, we invite the Holy Spirit now into everything that we do. We
- 4:27bond up whatever comes to destroy the service, we bond up for technical difficulty.
- 4:35In the name of Jesus. Those who are under the sound of my
- 4:40voice and may listen to the replay, God, I asked that you bless
- 4:45them and you give them the desires of their heart. In the precious name
- 4:50of your Son Jesus, I pray a man and a man in a man.
- 4:58How is everyone doing on tonight? I'm blessed. I'm better than blessed.
- 5:03Amen. And I counted up privilege in an honor to share my platform
- 5:12on tonight. I was waiting for my guests. I don't know what happened
- 5:17to her, but the Word of God says Piggie, always ready because you
- 5:26never know. Hollelujah, how what's gonna happen? How the spirit is gonna
- 5:33move? Amen? Amen. So on tonight, Amen, we were gonna.
- 5:41I was hoping to talk to Lakia Burnett from Tears to Purpose. Amen.
- 5:47How many people know that you go through some things in life. You
- 5:54go through some things in life that are gonna make you cry, that are
- 5:58gonna rock you to your very core. But those very things that you think
- 6:03have come to destroy you have come to make you. That you are still
- 6:10surviving after the storm, and that storm gives you a passion for life,
- 6:18but fill for life. And Lakia is here. Amen. So I have
- 6:25a very very special guest on tonight, and her name is Minister Leakillah Barnett,
- 6:33a man, and she is the visionary of the Tears to Purpose Monologue
- 6:42Ministry. So at this time I'm gonna ask Minister Lokilla to instroduce herself to
- 6:50the audience and tell us a little bit about herself. Blessings everyone, Elderly
- 7:00Kia Barnett, and I am the founder of Tears the Purpose Monologue Ministries,
- 7:05and I am also a mom and a wife and a friend or daughter and
- 7:15all of those great things that God has allowed me to be. And so
- 7:20I am very blessed to be here with you all tonight. Amen. And
- 7:28I am very excited to have you on the show on tonight because before my
- 7:36stroke, I was a part of Tears to Purpose Monologue, Amen, and
- 7:46a lot of things that I was keeping bottled up inside over the death of
- 7:51my son, Amen, I was able to play it out in a monologue.
- 7:57So I think Elder Barnet for that a man being the change that she
- 8:03wants to see. So can you tell us a little bit about the Tears
- 8:13the Purpose monologue or what's it all about? Yes, So, Tears the
- 8:20Purpose is now in ministry. It just started off as a woman's group or
- 8:28really just the thought of just hearing God tell me to move forth with helping
- 8:35people to tell their stories through monologuing, and that really came through when I
- 8:41was in the time that I was homeless and actually living in a shelter with
- 8:48my family, and my tears literally became my purpose. I didn't know that
- 8:56I was going to be doing anything like this. I just kind of,
- 9:00you know, heard God one day saying to me that this is what I
- 9:03needed to do, and I had to trust God on how to execute it.
- 9:09So I thank God for just the the subtle voice that that stopped me
- 9:15to say, I have more than what you think for your life. And
- 9:20that's really where it was birthed. It was birthed out of my pain,
- 9:24my tribulation, my wilderness season, being separated from family and friends at that
- 9:30time because me and my family were going through and we literally lost everything.
- 9:35And so I like to call that the wilderness season because that's when you you're
- 9:39you're you're finding out who you really are. Sometimes trials and tribulations happened not
- 9:46to kill us, but to position us because God knows what's ahead. And
- 9:52so that's really how Tears the Purpose was birthed. It is a ministry of
- 9:56the arts. When you think of the art, you think of praise,
- 10:03dancing, you think of poetry, you think of acting, you think of
- 10:09film movies, and all of these things did not start off that way.
- 10:13They just slowly started evolving as God started to trust me more with the vision.
- 10:20So tears the purpose is really a kingdom arts a space for people to
- 10:26come and share their stories. But not only that God's story. God has
- 10:30a story. He has things on his heart that he wants his people to
- 10:33know. And I believe that our God is so very smart that he knows
- 10:37that many will never walk into the church walls. But we have to be
- 10:41willing to take these things, and not just the churches, but to go
- 10:46in other places to get the souls. So that's what tears the purpose does
- 10:52a man. Amen. That's true about your wilderness experience, because things that
- 11:00you think came to break you, things that the enemy desired to kill you.
- 11:07God would use you in that very place. That every place where you
- 11:11want to give up, and that every place where you want to throw in
- 11:13the towel, God will use you in that place. And most of the
- 11:18time you have to go through a wilderness experience to know what's inside of you.
- 11:24If I had never had a massive stroke, I wouldn't know was really
- 11:31inside of me that despite people's slendering my name and abusing me and misusing me,
- 11:39that I could still stand and tell people that no matter what you've gone
- 11:45through, God still has a purpose for you in your life. So if
- 11:50I was to ask you what three women inspired you? What three women would
- 11:56you choose and why? Three women that inspire me? I would definitely have
- 12:11to say my spiritual mom My My, she's now an apostle. Now I
- 12:20would say she definitely expires me because of her her strength and her I'm gonna
- 12:28do it outside the box if nobody else wants to do it. She's she's
- 12:35fearful, she's fearless, should I say, And she's not afraid to be
- 12:41set aside and be called different, because sometimes we have to be set aside
- 12:45and be called different. So she's definitely one of the voice the voices in
- 12:48my life as a woman that I truly do look up to. I have
- 12:54another woman and who who has actually been with me. She's actually my treasure
- 12:58for or the ministry, but also one of my dearest friends. She has
- 13:05so much wisdom and glory. She I look up to her because I I
- 13:13honor her consistency in her in her life, and that shows me you know
- 13:20how to be. You know, once you start getting older, you think
- 13:22with a different kind of mindset versus how you were when you were younger.
- 13:30And also I have a sister in Christ as well who I do look up
- 13:39to. She's older than me, and she I absolutely adore her because she
- 13:46is strength. I've watched her go through a lot of things and she's never
- 13:52given up. So those three women in my life have just been very vocal,
- 14:01very consistent, and they showed that no matter what you go through,
- 14:05you have to keep pushing, no matter what, because it's what's gonna come
- 14:11at the end. Result that's going to you know, be the surprise and
- 14:16the shock of all honestly. So those three women, it's who definitely inspire
- 14:20me. Ay man, amen, And now I have a question that I
- 14:24didn't send you, but over the weekend I was looking on your page and
- 14:33I was looking at the youth service that you had outside, and I was
- 14:39so thrilled by that service because a lot of times as Christians, we want
- 14:46to judge the youth and say that you know, all the youth are killing
- 14:52each other wearing their pants off off, but we're not reaching out to them
- 14:58because they're truly gonna be that. Not even the Church of tomorrow, they're
- 15:03the Church of today. And if you have a church and you don't have
- 15:07any young people in it, you have a dying church. So I saw
- 15:11you reaching out to the youth. So what was that all about? And
- 15:16what's your philosophy for reaching the young people? So what you saw was me
- 15:26just being obedient to do what God said. And it was really not even
- 15:30really playing like that. It came from one of my youth praise dancers.
- 15:37She dances under tears the Purpose and she's ten, and her and my daughter
- 15:41are the best of friends, and they were just like, hey, let's
- 15:46do a youth service outside. Let's get the kids, and let's get them
- 15:50Jesus. That's exactly how she put it. And I said, well,
- 15:54let's make that happen. I'm just the type of person I don't really ponder
- 15:56too much. I just have an faith to know that if I put it
- 16:02out there, it's gonna come together. And I know the nine to one
- 16:06one urgency for the youth in this generation. And so if the enemy can
- 16:11keep the parents blind and keep the children blind. Then he's getting one up
- 16:17on us every time. Because if the children don't know who they are,
- 16:21and then the parents don't know who they're raising, then we got a problem
- 16:23already. And so I said, well, we're gonna start somewhere. I
- 16:26don't know how many kids gonna come, but we gonna do this. And
- 16:30I said, I don't need no building, I don't need none of that.
- 16:32Just give me outside. And so the dancer's mom shout out to her.
- 16:38She offered her backyard, you know, and she said, you know,
- 16:42the kid, you can do it outside. I don't care. I
- 16:45will open up my house. And that exactly what she did. And the
- 16:48youth came out and blessed my heart to see so many different age groups out
- 16:53there worshiping and learning about God in a different kind of space. And listen
- 16:59to what I did said, the youth needs a different kind of space.
- 17:03And I love that you said that. So many times? Do you feel
- 17:07judged? Because you know why? The youth tells me all the time in
- 17:11different spaces. Hey, I don't want to go into a real church because
- 17:14every time I go in there, they're judging me. Every time I turn
- 17:18around. It's boring. You know this is just the youth talking to me
- 17:22different You've come in to me at different time, sharing their experiences, And
- 17:26to answer your question, it's about us coming to their level, giving them
- 17:30something different we might not can't do with what we used to do and how
- 17:33we were raised. Now we're gonna have to go to the streets. Now
- 17:37we're gonna have to go to the street corners. Now we're gonna have to
- 17:38go in the back alley in the parking lot. We're gonna have to strip
- 17:41our boots up and come with the homor of God because some of them may
- 17:45never make it to the church house, and we have to be willing to
- 17:48go there to meet them where they are. Some of these kids are definitely
- 17:55struggling spiritually. They're being hindered spiritually. They are being attacked day in and
- 18:03day out because some of them don't even know if it's a heaven or hell
- 18:07or not. Some of them don't even know if I die to day or
- 18:11tomorrow. I don't even know where I'm going. And that is a burden
- 18:14to my heart. And it's always been like that. I don't care how
- 18:17many women I've worked with. God has always placed children on my heart.
- 18:22And I can always pull children, even when I was a teenager, I
- 18:25can always pull them, pull them, pull them, pull them. And
- 18:27the thing about it is this was a start of something fresh and new.
- 18:33And what I want to see, I told God, I want to see
- 18:36a breakout revival of youth everywhere, coming from all walks of life, coming
- 18:41from every neighborhood. Let's go in the drug infested neighborhoods, Let's go in
- 18:47the domestic violent neighborhoods. Let's go where the people are and get these children
- 18:52in relationship with Christ. Show them a different way how to serve God.
- 18:57Amen, and let them be youseful, you know, let them be useful,
- 19:02let them express themselves. So what you saw was a new wave of
- 19:06something that's coming for this generation. And I don't plan on stopping unless God
- 19:11tell me. To a man, by the way, I don't plan on
- 19:14stopping until the Lord say stop. Okay, So yes, and I'm totally
- 19:21then. Because I used to work with children, and as little as three
- 19:29and four years old, I would introduce them to God. It wasn't a
- 19:37Christian school, but I would introduce them to God because the only God that
- 19:42a lot of people are gonna see in peace is you and I. So
- 19:48we can't get down to their level. It's just like going yesterday, I
- 19:52was talking. I was teaching a class, and I was telling them that
- 19:56if you're teaching a certain way and no one's learning anything and they're not interested
- 20:03in what you're teaching, I gave For example, I had thought I had
- 20:07the bomb diggingly lesson plan and the state was coming and I was ready to
- 20:15show that I was teacher of the Year. But what gave me a hundred
- 20:19was that just as the evaluator came in, the snow started to fall,
- 20:29and the lesson that I had prepared for them went out the window when they
- 20:34saw the snow falling. So instead of me yelling and screaming, sit down,
- 20:40listen, listen, listen to my book. I have this really exciting
- 20:44book. No, what I did was Okay, now they're interested in the
- 20:48snow, so I'm gonna bring some snow activities in on the cusps. I
- 20:52just thought of bring some snow in. Let's measure how much snow we have.
- 20:59Let's measure how much time it would take for the snow reinforce the snowman
- 21:04and predict what would happen to a forestyest snow man and build a little frosty
- 21:10snowman and put them on a plate and see how long he was gonna melt
- 21:14inside. And the children was so excited, and the evaluator was so excited.
- 21:18She was like, oh wow, you got the children at their interest.
- 21:23So that's what we as ministers have to do, get to the children
- 21:29on their level. They can't sit for hours and hours like week and listen
- 21:33to the word being preached, but they like it acted out. They like
- 21:38skits and all those things when their level. So I was really excited when
- 21:45I saw that on Facebook and I was looking and I was like, wow,
- 21:51she got a lot of young people of all different ages and they were
- 21:55all engaged and excited. And even when the speaker began to speak to them,
- 22:00she was speaking in their language and they were all listening and paying attention
- 22:06amen to what was being said. So that was so exciting. So right
- 22:11now we're gonna have a brief commercial break and we're gonna come right back with
- 22:15Elder Lakia Burnett, and we're gonna talk some more about from Tears to Purpose,
- 22:22Amen and publishing. We are committed to helping our authors reach their goals
- 22:30and pursue their dreams of becoming published authors. We work closely with each uncle
- 22:34to ensure a successful publishing experience and dedicated to helping them tell their stories in
- 22:41the most impactful and meaningful ways. So stop procrastinating and let's get started with
- 22:47writing that book. Hello, and welcome back to Elder Lakia Burns and me,
- 22:59your hosts The Most Is Ministon Alma Thomas and we're here on the Liver
- 23:04Again podcasts and we've just been talking to Lakiah about how she founded the Tears
- 23:12the Purpose Ministry after she's been homeless, after she lost everything, she was
- 23:19empowered and inspired to live again. God let her know that there was more
- 23:26purpose inside of her. So at this time, I would like to know,
- 23:32if you got a chance to speak to your eighteen year old self,
- 23:37what would you tell yourself at eighteen? At eighteen, I would have definitely
- 23:45told myself not to worry about what others think about me. I think that
- 23:52then I was still trying to find out who I really was, and I
- 23:56always worried about the opinions of me. And that's what God had to really
- 24:03deliver me from. Is whatever he told me to do, you do it
- 24:07no matter what. So that's what I would tell my eighteen year old self
- 24:11is go for it. You know, stop worrying about what other people is
- 24:15saying, because what's destined for you is for you and nobody else can step
- 24:21on your toes when it comes to stuff like that, and you know,
- 24:23and just second guessing your myself so much at that age, I would definitely
- 24:29just say, you know, do exactly what is in your heart to do
- 24:36and what you feel led to do, and don't worry about the opinions of
- 24:40other people. That's what I would have told my eighteen year old self.
- 24:44Hey man, your story is your story, and can't nobody tell your story
- 24:51like you deal. Nobody's walked in your shoes. And God, when God
- 24:56gave the dream, he didn't make it a conference call call. He didn't
- 25:00call up a bunch of people and said this is what I want Lakia to
- 25:03do. But he told you and you had the faith. What I like
- 25:08is that you have the faith to step out on anything that you want to
- 25:15do, anything that God has equipped you with had placed in your spirit.
- 25:21You're not afraid to go out and try it. So now what's in store
- 25:26for tears? The purpose what do you have on the back burner? What
- 25:30do you have coming up? So what's in store for tears? The purpose
- 25:36is is a reset. I believe once you hit a certain point in whatever
- 25:45you're doing, there needs to be a reset. That means coming back to
- 25:48the Father and saying, what do you want to go forth? Now?
- 25:52You know, once you complete it, you know a certain task that God
- 25:56has given. I always think it's important and to go back to God and
- 26:02really sit with him and say, God, now what do you want me
- 26:04to do? And that's kind of where I am. I'm definitely shifting and
- 26:11being obedient and creating content for youth now because God says we're leaving the youth
- 26:18out. They need something they can go to so they can understand who I
- 26:22am. This is the Lord talking to me. And so one of my
- 26:26steps was stripping down my whole YouTube page and rebuilding it for content strictly for
- 26:33the youth to be able to understand how to build their relationship with Christ.
- 26:38All the questions that they have. God will give it to me to answer
- 26:42them, you know, to the best of my knowledge to help them,
- 26:45you know. So they need something tangible that they can go to and do
- 26:51that. So that's part of it. The other part of it is creating
- 26:55also a youth TV series, which was an idea that came to me for
- 26:59my son, and he said, Mom, we don't have anything for the
- 27:02youth. Everything is so witchy, everything is so taking us away from God.
- 27:07There's nothing on TV, nothing that the kids can go to that is
- 27:11not with Satan's handprint on it. And he's so right. He's thirteen years
- 27:17old and this is what he's noticing. And so God reminded me of a
- 27:21diary that I kept about how I found out about the gifts and callings or
- 27:26my children's life, and I wanted to bring family back to the table.
- 27:32A lot of the shows when you look at media, when you look at
- 27:34TV, everything got Satan's handprint on it. You see dysfunction, you see
- 27:40chaos, you see leus perversion, you see all of these things. But
- 27:45you see nothing pointing back to Christ, nothing saying that marriages don't look like
- 27:51dysfunctioning chaos all the time. You understand what I'm saying. They it's nothing
- 27:56helping people to maneuver through this thing called life. Now, because Satan has
- 28:00kicked the door wide open in all of the rings. And so I believe
- 28:06that God is raising up people like me and other people to come forth to
- 28:10bring clean, undouturated truth to the media, to the TV television. When
- 28:18I see television, you're telling a vision. God needs us to tell the
- 28:22vision so people can get set free. So with this new series called Mommy,
- 28:27Look what God is showing Me, it's going to help parents understand that
- 28:33they are not the only ones in the house that has gifts and call things.
- 28:37They're not the only ones who can sense things, but you ignore it.
- 28:44So we're helping the parents understand that you may be raising a different kind
- 28:49of child. So you gotta really go back to God and add who am
- 28:53I raising? So you'll know what to do? You know what I'm saying.
- 28:57It also taps into the prophetic taught. It taps in we know that
- 29:03we see on TV a lot of witchcraft, a lot of psychic terror,
- 29:07card readings, new Age, And one thing that the Lord has brought to
- 29:11my attention is that this generation is running to New Age practices and we have
- 29:18to shut that down because that is not what God wants his children to do.
- 29:25He wants them to use their gifts for Him and for His kingdom and
- 29:30not for self gain and other things like that, or turn into the dark
- 29:36side because they don't understand who they are. So God has definitely commissioned me.
- 29:41I've been working with a team of youth trying to get this SERI.
- 29:47It's going to be a seven episode series and my plan is to get it
- 29:51everywhere and anywhere I possibly can once it's edited and done. So that's where
- 29:57my hands are right now, and of course planning for twenty twenty four,
- 30:03seeing what the Lord is going to do about touching down and what's going to
- 30:07be the thing for next year for the monologues. Hey, man ain't man,
- 30:12ain't man? So how can someone get in touch with you, reach
- 30:18out to you if they want to be a part of these great, great
- 30:23things that you're doing. Because as I was saying last night, that Christianity
- 30:30is the only religion that doesn't teach their children what we believe in and why
- 30:37we believe it at an early age. The Jewish children know what they believe,
- 30:44the Seven Day events, the what is it called the Jehovah witnesses with
- 30:52their kids. I've taught kids that are three years old, and now I'm
- 30:56feeling bad because we're having a party and they can't have no cake because they
- 31:02don't celebrate birthdays. And the little three to zero is telling me, like,
- 31:06bring me to another rule. I don't we don't celebrate birthdays and these
- 31:10three But he knows what he believes, and he doesn't feel left out because
- 31:15he doesn't participate. He just doesn't participate and he knows that. So as
- 31:22Christianity, as Christians, we have a lot of work to do with the
- 31:27youth instead of sitting and pointing figures and judging. We need to be part
- 31:33of the solution, not part of the problem. So how can we reach
- 31:37you if we want to be a part of the great things that you're doing.
- 31:41You can definitely find me on Facebook. You can always inbox me or
- 31:45email me at sbtwo dance at gmail dot com. And again, we are
- 31:52looking for sponsors to be behind the children's project, just to make sure that
- 31:56this project gets out because we know the enemy is busy. We know that
- 32:01anything that got God's handprint on it, he gonna fight tooth and nails to
- 32:05make sure it doesn't get out, because then the truth is going to be
- 32:08exposed, so definitely, emailing me in boxing me definitely is a way to
- 32:15connect with me about any of the future projects that we're going to be doing.
- 32:22Amen. Amen, I for not thinking it's robbery to come out on
- 32:31tonight and to share with my platform what tears the purpose is all about and
- 32:39that we reach out to children. Amen, that that we make that a
- 32:45part of our ministry. So I'm very very excited that you took time to
- 32:52be on the show. Thank you, Thank you so much. Thank you
