- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the Tech Talk Radio Network. Hi,
- 0:03Speaker 1: this is Adrian Barbo.
- 0:04Speaker 2: You're listening to tech Talk Radio and you're gonna learn
- 0:07Speaker 2: a lot.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor,
- 0:14Speaker 1: I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm justin leme. Welcome. We
- 0:17Speaker 1: are the show of course that talks about computers.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Technology and the Internet and all things video games and
- 0:23Speaker 2: stuff like that.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be back.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I mean it's been a couple of weeks, been on
- 0:27Speaker 2: vacation and stuff, but it has.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You were kind of busy last week with the water
- 0:31Speaker 1: park is doing some different things and you had to
- 0:34Speaker 1: be a part of that.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Every year when the kids all go back to school,
- 0:38Speaker 2: you know, we're still open for business, so they get
- 0:42Speaker 2: all the full time staff to basically work the water parks.
- 0:45Speaker 2: So some people are lifeguards, some people are you know,
- 0:49Speaker 2: trash pick up, some people are guest services. And I
- 0:53Speaker 2: was slinging hot dogs and French fries all week.
- 0:56Speaker 1: How was it? Did you like it?
- 0:58Speaker 3: It's actually not too bad.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I mean it's a very small little menu. It's the
- 1:02Speaker 2: only place in the park that was open that was
- 1:04Speaker 2: selling alcohol, so about like people coming in there. But
- 1:07Speaker 2: you know, it's literally like five things to serve. And
- 1:11Speaker 2: the downside is, you know, you're on your feet all
- 1:14Speaker 2: day and some people are going to laugh at me
- 1:16Speaker 2: for that, but I'm not used to being on my
- 1:18Speaker 2: feet all day. I'm a desk jockey, you know, but
- 1:21Speaker 2: being on my feet all day, you know, it was
- 1:23Speaker 2: a little a little bit of a challenge, but it
- 1:25Speaker 2: was fun. It was a change of pace, and I
- 1:27Speaker 2: enjoyed it. So now that week is done. Now we're
- 1:31Speaker 2: into the period between well now and Labor Day because
- 1:36Speaker 2: Labor Day we close for the season. So we've got
- 1:39Speaker 2: a couple of weeks left, but we're not open during
- 1:40Speaker 2: the week. We're only open on weekends, right, So it's
- 1:43Speaker 2: actually really quiet around there during the week.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Now. It's kind of interesting.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Would you recommend, like, if a family was coming up
- 1:50Speaker 1: to Denver, you know, to do a little vacation, should
- 1:53Speaker 1: they check it out? Because I mean, it's it's like
- 1:54Speaker 1: the world's or the nation's largest or one of them, right.
- 1:57Speaker 2: It's America's largest water park.
- 2:00Speaker 1: We get to hear your voice, right, remember I am.
- 2:02Speaker 2: The voice of water World. Yeah, thanks for coming to
- 2:04Speaker 2: water World. America's largest water park.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You do that so well.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I highly recommend it. It's fun, it's an interesting place.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It is definitely an icon of Colorado. And yeah, I
- 2:16Speaker 2: would mention if you are coming up to Denver during
- 2:18Speaker 2: the summer months, Yeah, definitely go check it out.
- 2:21Speaker 1: All right, that's good. Now we're also seeing a look
- 2:25Speaker 1: at and as Sean said, it's a first look at
- 2:28Speaker 1: your new setup after you have dealt with all this
- 2:31Speaker 1: flooding and all the ripping out of that whole thing.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So you if you're just listening to the radio, you're
- 2:37Speaker 2: obviously not gonna be able to picture this. But Sean
- 2:39Speaker 2: and Andy are looking at the zoom.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Which we'll put up on the website.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 3: But I used to be.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Up against this wall over here, and so the TV
- 2:47Speaker 2: was you never would see the TV because it was
- 2:49Speaker 2: always to my right against that wall. But then my
- 2:53Speaker 2: basement flooded. It was early June. It was like the
- 2:56Speaker 2: day after Mesa and Eric went to Japan, and we
- 2:58Speaker 2: talked about that, and you know, I had an extended
- 3:01Speaker 2: absence from tech Talk because I just I had no
- 3:03Speaker 2: more studio. So it finally got redone. We've got new carpet,
- 3:07Speaker 2: we put everything back down here, and I took the
- 3:10Speaker 2: opportunity to redesign reimagine my battle station per se and
- 3:17Speaker 2: instead of it just being mine, I've also set up
- 3:20Speaker 2: so it's a two person desk and I'll have to
- 3:22Speaker 2: send Sean the picture a little bit later. He actually
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'll throw it in the chat later. But anyway, it's
- 3:27Speaker 2: a dual desk and there's two battle stations, so whenever
- 3:32Speaker 2: Eric wants to use the computer, he'll use the one
- 3:34Speaker 2: that I'm on right now because it's the desktop. And
- 3:37Speaker 2: if I want to game, I'll just bring my laptop
- 3:40Speaker 2: and plug it in over here at the docking station.
- 3:42Speaker 2: And I bought a new twenty four or twenty seven inch, yes,
- 3:46Speaker 2: twenty seven inch curved gaming monitor from Costco, so I
- 3:50Speaker 2: can play on that one, so he can play on this,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I can play on that, or if we so choose,
- 3:55Speaker 2: we also have his Xbox connected to that other monitor.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I've got Xbox Game Pass on this PC and we've
- 4:03Speaker 2: got the Xbox on the main TV, so we can
- 4:05Speaker 2: have up to like three people, you know, three of
- 4:08Speaker 2: his friends playing Xbox, all on their own computer, monitor
- 4:12Speaker 2: or TV. So this is like the coolest house in
- 4:15Speaker 2: the neighborhood for kids.
- 4:17Speaker 1: That is pretty cool. They did a you did a
- 4:20Speaker 1: good job setting it resetting it up, and it was
- 4:22Speaker 1: kind of cool because you had like an open kind
- 4:24Speaker 1: of an open slate, right.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It was just yeah, it was. It was all from
- 4:28Speaker 2: scratch basically. I mean, we're not reusing hardly anything now.
- 4:31Speaker 2: The only downside is is the monitors. The monitor mount
- 4:34Speaker 2: that I have my triple monitors set up on this
- 4:36Speaker 2: desk is not as deep as the old one, so
- 4:39Speaker 2: the monitors are really really close and it actually kind
- 4:42Speaker 2: of concerns me so and II because air CASTA sits
- 4:45Speaker 2: so close to be able to play. So it's like
- 4:47Speaker 2: it's like you would be sitting and looking at like
- 4:49Speaker 2: a sixty inch TV from a foot away, Like it's
- 4:52Speaker 2: just not good.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So I have to do that to read the text,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm old, Yeah, well, we don't want Eric to be
- 4:58Speaker 1: like that when he's like nine.
- 4:59Speaker 2: So I bought a keyboard train and I just I
- 5:01Speaker 2: got to install it on here. But this keyboard tray
- 5:03Speaker 2: should then allow him to be able to sit back
- 5:05Speaker 2: a little bit and uh and do this. And I'll
- 5:09Speaker 2: tell Sean. The hardest part Sean was trying to figure
- 5:11Speaker 2: out where to put my microphone, because no matter where
- 5:14Speaker 2: I put it, it would bump into a monitor. So what
- 5:16Speaker 2: I'm actually doing is I have it behind the monitor,
- 5:19Speaker 2: and I'm actually going underneath the monitor and back up
- 5:22Speaker 2: the good amount to be able to come and you know,
- 5:24Speaker 2: be able to talk to you guys. The other thing
- 5:27Speaker 2: I did I made sure of is when I redesigned this,
- 5:29Speaker 2: I didn't want to see a single cable and so
- 5:34Speaker 2: I took my time and I did it very very carefully,
- 5:37Speaker 2: and I made the wires look amazing, which has since
- 5:40Speaker 2: now been destroyed because Eric's down here playing with his
- 5:43Speaker 2: friends and there's cables everywhere. But I really tried to
- 5:46Speaker 2: make it really really good with cable management, and it
- 5:49Speaker 2: looks really sweet. And like I said, I'll send a
- 5:51Speaker 2: picture here. I'll have to find it, but I'll put
- 5:53Speaker 2: a picture in chat and let you let you guys see.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You use the runners I've seen, you know, like if
- 5:57Speaker 1: you go into you know, say Walmart or Best Buy
- 6:00Speaker 1: or whatever and you buy amount, they have these these
- 6:03Speaker 1: devices that could go on the wall. You can paint them,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and they're they're very I mean they're very they look
- 6:08Speaker 1: thin and they can do hiding for the cables.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I did some of that. I also used a
- 6:15Speaker 2: little bit of the umbilical, the umbilic record there, Sean,
- 6:19Speaker 2: look at the chat there. Yeah, I put a picture
- 6:21Speaker 2: of our battle stations in it. But I did a
- 6:24Speaker 2: little bit of it umbilical. I did a little bit
- 6:26Speaker 2: of the white stuff to to kind of like the raceway,
- 6:30Speaker 2: a lot a lot of zip ties. But yeah, it uh,
- 6:34Speaker 2: it ends up. It ended up working out pretty well
- 6:36Speaker 2: in the end.
- 6:36Speaker 1: One of the things that I've seen a lot of
- 6:38Speaker 1: people doing. Now, Sean has got the maximum use of
- 6:42Speaker 1: lighting and color in his his cast. If you if
- 6:46Speaker 1: you jump onto our website, you can actually watch the
- 6:48Speaker 1: video from this you can see what we're talking about.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And he has done something super amazing. All of a sudden,
- 6:54Speaker 1: there is a camera floating above him from behind. You've
- 6:59Speaker 1: got to tell us how you did this.
- 7:01Speaker 4: So I've always wanted a camera angle from behind me
- 7:05Speaker 4: just to show like a wide shot of what my
- 7:08Speaker 4: setup is. It's kind of messy right now, so deal
- 7:11Speaker 4: with that. But so I have my old iPhone seven
- 7:15Speaker 4: plus plugged into power, connected to my WiFi running nd
- 7:21Speaker 4: I HXCM. This is an application that's free you can
- 7:24Speaker 4: download from the app store, which pushes an NDII stream
- 7:28Speaker 4: to my home network.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Can you can you explain nd I? I don't. I don't.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I'm not familiar with that.
- 7:35Speaker 4: So NDI stands for Network Defined Interface. So NDI is
- 7:40Speaker 4: made by a company called new Tech, which I think
- 7:43Speaker 4: is owned by viz Art Now, which is a broadcast company.
- 7:47Speaker 4: It's a high bandwidth streaming platform like it's, it's it's
- 7:53Speaker 4: it's a streaming protocol, so much like s R, T
- 7:57Speaker 4: R T, m P those things. The benefit is that
- 8:01Speaker 4: you can put it on hardware, you can put it
- 8:03Speaker 4: on software and pull this video in across your network.
- 8:08Speaker 4: So all I'm running is that application on my phone,
- 8:12Speaker 4: and I'm using OBS to pull that stream into OBS,
- 8:15Speaker 4: then using the virtual camera from OBS to push it
- 8:18Speaker 4: to zoom wow. So and I. NDI is a I'm
- 8:22Speaker 4: going to change back to their camera.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But NDI is a.
- 8:27Speaker 4: It was very limited in terms of use in the
- 8:31Speaker 4: broadcast industry because of its nature across networks. Right, you
- 8:37Speaker 4: have to have it almost have to have a dedicated
- 8:40Speaker 4: network just for NDI, just because of its bandwidth requirements
- 8:45Speaker 4: and it's kind of interoper interoperability with other voice or
- 8:50Speaker 4: video over IP systems, so it didn't get picked up
- 8:53Speaker 4: very well. And then during COVID when everybody kind of
- 8:58Speaker 4: had to go to something to stream churches, houses of houses,
- 9:02Speaker 4: of works of churches, schools, all the stuff, NDI kind
- 9:04Speaker 4: of picked up a bunch of steam. And it's been
- 9:07Speaker 4: developed a lot on the back end and now they
- 9:10Speaker 4: have some lower bandwidth capabilities and some other things like that.
- 9:14Speaker 4: But we use it quite a bit at work. I
- 9:17Speaker 4: use it quite a bit at work to do If
- 9:19Speaker 4: you watch any of our Notre Dame Rugby club streams,
- 9:22Speaker 4: we're using four NDI cameras remote outdoor rated. They're mounted
- 9:27Speaker 4: outdoor at Rugby all over campus network, so they're just
- 9:31Speaker 4: plugged into a campus switch poe to the cameras, we
- 9:34Speaker 4: pull them back, We pull them back in at the TriCaster,
- 9:37Speaker 4: which is a video switcher that is made by new Tech,
- 9:41Speaker 4: so NDI native and brings it in and you can
- 9:45Speaker 4: switch switch the cameras, you can add graphics, You can
- 9:47Speaker 4: do all this.
- 9:48Speaker 2: When you're talking about a high bandwidth though, I mean,
- 9:50Speaker 2: what do we talk in per camera?
- 9:51Speaker 3: We talk in.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Gigabit, right, So there are a couple of different flavors, right,
- 9:57Speaker 4: so NDI is compressed. So it's compressed. Uh, it's compressed video, right, yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 4: So it uses full they call full full NDI. They
- 10:08Speaker 4: use what the codec called speed HQ. That's the codec
- 10:10Speaker 4: they use. It's about it depends on what flavor of
- 10:15Speaker 4: video you're using. Ten ADP seven to twenty p, etceter.
- 10:18Speaker 4: So for a ten ADP stream at full NDI, it's
- 10:21Speaker 4: about one hundred and twenty meg per camera.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Mm okay, so if you have if you have the network, right,
- 10:27Speaker 5: So the benefit of NDI is if you have a
- 10:30Speaker 5: network that supports it, you can do multicast, which means
- 10:33Speaker 5: one to many, right.
- 10:36Speaker 4: If you don't, you have to do unicast, which means
- 10:39Speaker 4: one to one. Meaning if Justin pulls my camera down
- 10:43Speaker 4: and Andy pulls my camera down, it's sending two full
- 10:45Speaker 4: bandwidth streams.
- 10:46Speaker 3: To ooh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, meaning.
- 10:49Speaker 4: That would be two hundred and forty meg or x whatever.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Well, that's why you bring in that switcher, the and stuff.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Right, So there's a benefit to doing it either way.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Now they've identified that as a kind of a bottleneck
- 11:01Speaker 4: and they created nd I ah x n da h
- 11:05Speaker 4: X two and da h X three and it's using
- 11:08Speaker 4: HG six four encoding h g VC encoding. So now
- 11:11Speaker 4: you're getting down to where you can put the cameras
- 11:13Speaker 4: down to four five six meg per camera at the
- 11:18Speaker 4: same quality.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Did you have to did you have to buy the
- 11:20Speaker 1: software for your smartphone to be able to run it
- 11:23Speaker 1: on there?
- 11:23Speaker 4: It's free?
- 11:24Speaker 1: So is that like the suite of products from NDI
- 11:27Speaker 1: when it comes to the software to do it? I
- 11:29Speaker 1: do believe that is the case. Isn't it?
- 11:30Speaker 4: Like you could everything that I've done to make this camera,
- 11:34Speaker 4: I'll go back to it, right, this camera, this camera,
- 11:35Speaker 4: everything I've done to make this camera, get it on Zoom.
- 11:38Speaker 4: It's free.
- 11:39Speaker 3: Wow.
- 11:40Speaker 4: The application, the nd I tool software from my computer,
- 11:44Speaker 4: the OBS is free.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Right, all of those things are free.
- 11:48Speaker 4: You can just download. They're all open source. Well and
- 11:51Speaker 4: is not open source.
- 11:52Speaker 2: But yeah, okay, but then how does NDI make money
- 11:55Speaker 2: if they're if they're if they're like, yeah, yeah, I don't.
- 11:58Speaker 1: You have to you have to.
- 12:00Speaker 4: There are licensed products for NDI, right, there are there
- 12:03Speaker 4: are things that new text cells that can't be licensed.
- 12:07Speaker 4: And if a vendor Panasonic, Sony, Cannon, Bird, Dog, PTS, Optics,
- 12:12Speaker 4: whoever wants to put NDI on their camera. They pay
- 12:16Speaker 4: nd I a fee. Right, it's just like H six
- 12:19Speaker 4: four right.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Every H six four device, it's just a codec.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they pay six four.
- 12:25Speaker 4: That is a codec that you pay for.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, that makes sense.
- 12:28Speaker 1: It's pretty amazing because even just looking at it now,
- 12:31Speaker 1: like Sean, how you have set up Like I can
- 12:34Speaker 1: imagine we talked about houses of worship and you know,
- 12:37Speaker 1: it used to be okay, they would just have one
- 12:39Speaker 1: camera on it, and then they started getting they started
- 12:42Speaker 1: getting like pretty experimental during the COVID and saying, well
- 12:46Speaker 1: we want you know, we still have you know, our
- 12:48Speaker 1: our our choral group here. So they wanted to be
- 12:51Speaker 1: able to switch to a choral group. So suddenly they
- 12:53Speaker 1: wanted to have two cameras. And then they started to
- 12:55Speaker 1: find out about tricasters and about obs or even wire
- 13:00Speaker 1: cast if they you know, want to use the telestream
- 13:02Speaker 1: product and pay for it. And then now I'm looking
- 13:05Speaker 1: at this, going this you can have a camera behind
- 13:08Speaker 1: you a minister or a preacher or priest and show
- 13:11Speaker 1: the congregation now, and I mean it's just there's so much,
- 13:14Speaker 1: so many applications that this is allowing you to do.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:19Speaker 4: I mean there's there's some benefits, there's some there's some
- 13:21Speaker 4: positives and some negatives. Right this camera that I'm using
- 13:24Speaker 4: behind me is just on my WiFi. Wi Fi is
- 13:27Speaker 4: not ideal for this scenario. It just happens to be
- 13:30Speaker 4: what happens to work.
- 13:31Speaker 1: A little last Yeah, if I had.
- 13:34Speaker 4: One of my actual NDI cameras from work, I would
- 13:36Speaker 4: obviously hardwire to my switch, put it on my network
- 13:39Speaker 4: that way, and the latency would be sub one sub
- 13:42Speaker 4: one second. It'd be very, very very low latency.
- 13:46Speaker 1: It is pretty neat. I like it. I like the
- 13:48Speaker 1: idea too. This gives you that the idea why you
- 13:52Speaker 1: never ever want to get rid of your smartphones. You know,
- 13:55Speaker 1: you go to a place and they say, hey, you know,
- 13:57Speaker 1: we'll trade it in and they'll give you what fifteen
- 14:00Speaker 1: twenty bucks on that.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Justin What do you think, Well, it's funny that you
- 14:05Speaker 2: mentioned that.
- 14:06Speaker 3: You are correct.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I mean that is that is the keep your old
- 14:09Speaker 2: cell phones because you never know what you want to
- 14:11Speaker 2: do with them. However, there's something interesting that just happened
- 14:14Speaker 2: that I want to talk about here in a second,
- 14:16Speaker 2: about what these use cell phones. But go ahead and
- 14:18Speaker 2: finish your thought. It just it just made me think
- 14:19Speaker 2: of something.
- 14:20Speaker 1: It just because then you have the opportunity and I think, Sean,
- 14:23Speaker 1: you're using an iPhone seven. People have thought, Okay, well,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you know it's not on an iPhone twelve. I'm not
- 14:28Speaker 1: going to be able to use it. We can't use
- 14:29Speaker 1: it for phone calls. You could still use those smartphones
- 14:32Speaker 1: connected to Wi Fi.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and make turm into cameras or whatever.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah. So again, you know, this could be something that
- 14:40Speaker 1: would be good, you.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Know, speaking of the phones. I just I was reading
- 14:44Speaker 2: about this earlier today. You know, the new Pixel nine
- 14:47Speaker 2: series came. Yeah, and I actually I will tell you
- 14:53Speaker 2: right now, I am going to be the proud new
- 14:55Speaker 2: owner of the new Pixel nine pro fold.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Oh you're you're gonna go fold wow.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yep.
- 15:02Speaker 2: So that's coming on. That's coming on its way here soon.
- 15:05Speaker 2: But the point of this little story I was gonna
- 15:07Speaker 2: mention is I've been hearing about how best Buy will
- 15:11Speaker 2: give you one thousand dollars for like an old like
- 15:15Speaker 2: iPhone twelve or even an iPhone fourteen. They will give
- 15:19Speaker 2: you nine hundred and ninety nine dollars towards a trade
- 15:23Speaker 2: in or for trade in towards a Pixel nine. Now again,
- 15:28Speaker 2: this is not best Buy that's foot in this bill.
- 15:31Speaker 3: This is Google.
- 15:32Speaker 2: They're like, hey, doesn't matter. Pay everybody one thousand dollars
- 15:35Speaker 2: to trade in their phone if they get a pixel.
- 15:38Speaker 2: People have been exploiting this. They're going to these like
- 15:42Speaker 2: cell phone stores that are selling old you know, use
- 15:45Speaker 2: cell phones. They're buying old like iPhone twelves for like
- 15:49Speaker 2: two hundred bucks, turning around selling them the best buy
- 15:53Speaker 2: it for one thousand and gaining eight hundred dollars towards
- 15:57Speaker 2: a new Pixel nine. I mean that's pretty smart if
- 16:00Speaker 2: you asked me.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, And the Pixel nine has been getting some rever reviews.
- 16:06Speaker 1: You know, some people I know in the press world
- 16:08Speaker 1: have been able to get their hands on one. Press
- 16:11Speaker 1: has had a lot of harder time than some of
- 16:14Speaker 1: those that are influencers that than yeah, than those in
- 16:17Speaker 1: the actual media.
- 16:18Speaker 2: But I guess I'm not that good of an influencer.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I had to pay for mine. Thanks Andy, What made.
- 16:24Speaker 1: You decide though, that it was finally time to move up?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Because you didn't do the Pixel eight? Did you? No?
- 16:31Speaker 2: I usually no, no, no, no, no no, no, I do
- 16:33Speaker 2: I do have a Pixel eight pro. My phone is
- 16:35Speaker 2: I usually skip a generation. That's what I's what I thought.
- 16:39Speaker 2: So I've I've usually been on the odds, but now
- 16:42Speaker 2: I went last year, I was like, oh, I'm gonna
- 16:43Speaker 2: get it. You know, the Pixel eight Pro, but I
- 16:45Speaker 2: saw the Pixel nine. I saw the Pixel nine pro
- 16:48Speaker 2: fold and I'm like, one of the deciding factors me honestly,
- 16:52Speaker 2: was my eyesight. My eyesight is getting a little wit
- 16:54Speaker 2: worse as I get a little bit older, and I
- 16:56Speaker 2: have to have readers everywhere, and I thought, you know this,
- 16:59Speaker 2: and they they talked about how having that foldable screen,
- 17:02Speaker 2: the open screen will allow you to be able to
- 17:04Speaker 2: like zoom in on text a lot easier. And I thought,
- 17:07Speaker 2: you know, that looks pretty cool. And I've always been
- 17:09Speaker 2: a little bit risk adverse to or towards foldable phones
- 17:13Speaker 2: because of that center gap. But they said that they've
- 17:16Speaker 2: actually got a new technology now where it kind of
- 17:18Speaker 2: reduces that prominance of that center foldable gap. So I
- 17:24Speaker 2: don't know, I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm going
- 17:27Speaker 2: to trade in my pixel or I Pixel eight Pro.
- 17:30Speaker 2: And then I told the wife, I said, look, I'm
- 17:33Speaker 2: just gonna you know, I'll come up with the money
- 17:35Speaker 2: somehow little bitcoin, but yeah, I should be getting my
- 17:40Speaker 2: Pixel nine pro fold. I think it's like September fourteenth
- 17:45Speaker 2: through the eighteenth, somewhere in that range. So I'm actually
- 17:48Speaker 2: really interested to see that. But on top of that,
- 17:52Speaker 2: because I bought it through the Google Store, I get
- 17:54Speaker 2: a three hundred and fifty dollars Google credit towards buying things,
- 17:58Speaker 2: And I was already about to spend three hundred dollars
- 18:02Speaker 2: to buy the new Google Streamer, the new Google Streaming
- 18:06Speaker 2: four K devices, like they're replacing the Google TV, the
- 18:09Speaker 2: Google Chrome casts and stuff. Now it's like a little
- 18:12Speaker 2: bit of a set top box. It's it's still pretty small,
- 18:14Speaker 2: but it's more of a set top box. Faster process
- 18:18Speaker 2: or more memory, more storage, and they're each like one
- 18:22Speaker 2: hundred dollars before tax. So I was like, I was
- 18:24Speaker 2: going to buy three of those already. So now that
- 18:27Speaker 2: I get the three hundred and fifty dollars store credit
- 18:29Speaker 2: by buying this, that knocks off, in essence, three hundred
- 18:33Speaker 2: and fifty bucks off my phone bill. So it ended
- 18:36Speaker 2: up coming out of pocket.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I want to say about one thousand dollars.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Do you think that you know when we first saw
- 18:43Speaker 1: the flips and the folds come out from Samsung. Y
- 18:46Speaker 1: you know, it was kind of like, eh, you know,
- 18:48Speaker 1: people were kind of on the fence. We looked at
- 18:50Speaker 1: the fold from Samsung and we were like it was okay,
- 18:53Speaker 1: but ancient technology compared now. Yeah, we saw that that
- 18:56Speaker 1: crease that just kind of bothered us a little. Yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: but it looks like it's gotten better. They're saying that.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Some people are really saying it's time with the marketing
- 19:04Speaker 1: that Samsung's been doing that they're going to be ditching
- 19:07Speaker 1: their iPhones for the Galaxy Z flip six. Do you
- 19:11Speaker 1: think maybe we're going to start seeing that the flips
- 19:14Speaker 1: of the folds are going to get a lot more love.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I think so.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I think with this new technology, and especially with the
- 19:20Speaker 2: new technology Google put behind this particular screen, I think
- 19:24Speaker 2: people are going to be more willing to try a
- 19:27Speaker 2: larger screen like that on a foldable or flippable device
- 19:31Speaker 2: so they get that extra real estate without having to
- 19:34Speaker 2: give up all that extra pocket space. Now, speaking of
- 19:36Speaker 2: pocket space, I had to find a case for this thing.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and I looked around a little bit on Amazon.
- 19:42Speaker 2: They're already released a bunch of cases there was one
- 19:44Speaker 2: case that I really wanted.
- 19:46Speaker 3: It will looked amazing.
- 19:47Speaker 2: It was made of metal, full on coverage front, back, left, right, up,
- 19:52Speaker 2: down whatever. It looked like an otter Box. However, when
- 19:56Speaker 2: you close it and you have that hold in your hand,
- 19:59Speaker 2: it is about two and a half inches thick, like
- 20:04Speaker 2: that is the size of like a battery pack, And
- 20:07Speaker 2: I'm not going to be putting that in my pocket
- 20:09Speaker 2: with my phone. Like I'm I love otter Box for
- 20:13Speaker 2: their ability to protect everything. Yeah, yeah, but this was
- 20:16Speaker 2: just a little overkill because it was literally made of aluminum,
- 20:19Speaker 2: and I just I don't think I could do that,
- 20:21Speaker 2: So I ended up I actually haven't bought it yet.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna get just a regular old case. But it
- 20:28Speaker 2: is made for the fold and it does go with
- 20:31Speaker 2: the grain of the foldable device, and it's got a
- 20:35Speaker 2: hinge on it, so but it will protect the cameras,
- 20:38Speaker 2: it'll protect the edges. It's got an air gap around
- 20:41Speaker 2: the corners, so that way, if you do drop and
- 20:44Speaker 2: it hits the corner, it's going to hit that air
- 20:46Speaker 2: gap first, so it'll, you know, somewhat protect it. But
- 20:49Speaker 2: on top of that, I went ahead and I did
- 20:51Speaker 2: buy the device protection. They offered an incentive. You could
- 20:55Speaker 2: either do it for fifteen dollars a month or two
- 20:59Speaker 2: seventy nine for two straight years. So if you do
- 21:02Speaker 2: the math fifteen times twenty four, you're looking at almost
- 21:06Speaker 2: four hundred dollars right there. So I just bit the
- 21:08Speaker 2: bullet and went the two seventy nine for the two
- 21:10Speaker 2: years of protection out the door.
- 21:12Speaker 1: No, that's not bad. Hopefully it will catch on and
- 21:14Speaker 1: will be, you know, a good product. Like I said,
- 21:17Speaker 1: it's had, it's had great reviews so far.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Well, now that Justin Lemme of tech talk radio is
- 21:21Speaker 2: gonna have one, everybody's gonna want one.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I don't know, you know.
- 21:25Speaker 1: And I was thinking about the flip because I like
- 21:28Speaker 1: the ads for the flip, but I just I don't
- 21:30Speaker 1: know if I could get used to it. Sean, do
- 21:32Speaker 1: you think you could you use that technology?
- 21:36Speaker 4: I don't know. I like to think that I would
- 21:38Speaker 4: hate it. But one of my cousins has one of
- 21:42Speaker 4: the Samsung folds and he's like, hey, watch this video flip.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Oh crap, it's a huge screen.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it looked really good.
- 21:51Speaker 4: I was like, all right, I could probably. I just
- 21:54Speaker 4: don't know if i'd like my phone is big. I
- 21:58Speaker 4: have the thirteen plus, the iPhone thirteen plus it's big. Yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 4: and my mom has the iPhone thirteen Max and that's
- 22:06Speaker 4: even bigger, right, And the Max is about the same
- 22:10Speaker 4: size as Justin is gonna get plus it flips.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Out the Max the iPhone fifteen Pro Max. No, yeah,
- 22:19Speaker 2: fifteen Pro Max. The screen size is the same as
- 22:23Speaker 2: the nine pixel really pro fold screen when it's folded. Okay,
- 22:30Speaker 2: so you are getting the size of a fifteen Pro
- 22:33Speaker 2: Max when it's folded, and then when you unfold it
- 22:36Speaker 2: you're getting just that much more real estate.
- 22:38Speaker 4: I mean, I see where it's beneficial, right, It's just
- 22:42Speaker 4: I don't foresee myself getting one because I have a
- 22:46Speaker 4: two and a half year old, yeah old, and I
- 22:50Speaker 4: need to.
- 22:50Speaker 2: See them going like this, dude, dude, this is exactly
- 22:54Speaker 2: what the guy told me when I when I bought
- 22:56Speaker 2: my Pixel seven, I want to say Pixel seven. I
- 23:00Speaker 2: had a picture of Eric as a baby as my
- 23:02Speaker 2: background on my Pixel six and they were like, oh,
- 23:06Speaker 2: it's a cute or First off, he was like, do
- 23:07Speaker 2: you want the device protection? And I'm like nah, I'm good. Yeah,
- 23:10Speaker 2: and then he sees the picture of the kid, he goes,
- 23:11Speaker 2: that's a cute kid.
- 23:12Speaker 3: How old is he?
- 23:12Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, two, he goes. He looks at me
- 23:15Speaker 2: square in the face.
- 23:16Speaker 3: He goes, are you sure you don't want the device protection?
- 23:19Speaker 2: And I'm like, I just imagined like a flashback of
- 23:21Speaker 2: him like dropping my phone in the toilet or something,
- 23:23Speaker 2: and I'm like, you know what, I should probably do that.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's probably a good idea.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that's always good when you have kids.
- 23:29Speaker 2: But I also heard a rumor, and I haven't seen
- 23:31Speaker 2: any pictures of it or anything yet, but I heard
- 23:33Speaker 2: a rumor that the Pixel nine pro fold interior screen
- 23:39Speaker 2: will replicate and eat ink display so you can use
- 23:42Speaker 2: it like a Kindle.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Oh, that'd be kind of interesting. I'm just where it
- 23:46Speaker 1: has a camera system because I'm.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Ass in the world right now, top of the line
- 23:50Speaker 2: in the world, better than the Samsung yep.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Right now.
- 23:53Speaker 2: It is rated as the best camera in the world
- 23:55Speaker 2: for a phone.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Wow.
- 23:57Speaker 2: And it goes back and forth. It always goes back
- 23:58Speaker 2: and forth. It's like Nvidia A A M D. You know,
- 24:01Speaker 2: right now, it's the Pixel Next year it'll be the
- 24:04Speaker 2: same Sung, But it's it's the camp.
- 24:06Speaker 4: The camera wars on phones right, can only go so
- 24:09Speaker 4: far until we're gonna have a thirty five millimeters censor
- 24:12Speaker 4: on a camp on on a phone. Yeah right, you're
- 24:15Speaker 4: the sensor skinning is so big until the phones get bigger.
- 24:20Speaker 4: As the phones get bigger, Apple's gonna make some sort
- 24:23Speaker 4: of iPhone device. I mean it's going to be It's
- 24:27Speaker 4: going to be Google, it's gonna be Meta. It's one
- 24:30Speaker 4: of them is going to make a I mean, Red
- 24:33Speaker 4: made their red Red epic Red.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I don't company Red.
- 24:36Speaker 4: They it's a camera company. They got actually they got
- 24:39Speaker 4: up by Nikon not that long ago. They made a
- 24:42Speaker 4: large sensor phone. There is a Red phone. Google it.
- 24:46Speaker 4: It's got a I don't it's over a one in censor.
- 24:50Speaker 2: You mean like the Red phone, like the President Red phone.
- 24:52Speaker 5: No, no, the President phone, but like it could shoot raw.
- 24:57Speaker 4: It did all this crazy stuff, and I have a
- 25:00Speaker 4: the guy that works for us that it doesn't work with.
- 25:01Speaker 4: That was the only person I've ever meat at the
- 25:04Speaker 4: head one. And I don't understand how it. It just
- 25:07Speaker 4: didn't seem to be functional, but he used it on
- 25:09Speaker 4: films to shoot and stuff.
- 25:10Speaker 1: So why I just googled.
- 25:12Speaker 2: I just googled Red phone and The first thing comes
- 25:14Speaker 2: up was the Moscow Washington hotline and a bunch of
- 25:17Speaker 2: pictures of old analog red phones.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Oh boy, you can tell everybody you have a red phone, a.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Red hydrogen one. That's why you're talking about. So the.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Camera wars are only gonna get so good as long
- 25:30Speaker 4: as the math continues to get good and the compression
- 25:33Speaker 4: contains shirt good, because you're only gonna be able to
- 25:35Speaker 4: cramp so many pixels, so many small pixels, into small sensors,
- 25:40Speaker 4: so until until the sensors get bigger and the lenses
- 25:45Speaker 4: get bigger. That that you can only it's there's some
- 25:50Speaker 4: theory or law, physics law that exists to prove that
- 25:54Speaker 4: that can't go anything til things get bigger.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Think about it. Could we eventually see a Nikon or
- 26:00Speaker 1: a Cannon smartphone?
- 26:02Speaker 2: No, you know, I think, I think I think Google
- 26:05Speaker 2: or Samsung or Apple, one of those three or even
- 26:08Speaker 2: one plus possibly right, they may license and do a
- 26:13Speaker 2: partnership with Canon or Sony or or Nikon.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it could be Nikon and Red because now
- 26:21Speaker 4: that Nikon owns right, are rumored to be working on
- 26:23Speaker 4: a new phone.
- 26:24Speaker 1: There you go. See, you would think it could happen.
- 26:28Speaker 1: All right, we got to take we gotta take quick break.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Come back. You mentioned chrome cast. What happens to those
- 26:34Speaker 1: that are using it. We'll talk about that when we
- 26:35Speaker 1: come back.
- 26:36Speaker 2: If you can find us on the web at tech
- 26:37Speaker 2: talk radio dot com, we'll get right back.
- 26:40Speaker 1: And that fact to tech talk Radio. In the first
- 26:42Speaker 1: part of the show, we were talking about chrome cast.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Justin you were talking about how you want to get
- 26:47Speaker 1: the Google TV streamer, which has been announced it's going
- 26:50Speaker 1: to be available September twenty sixth, and some people have thought, well,
- 26:55Speaker 1: I've wanted to get a chrome Cast. I had a
- 26:58Speaker 1: Google TV once a box which was so cool and
- 27:01Speaker 1: I loved it. But then they kind of shifted to
- 27:04Speaker 1: the actual chrome Cast device and if they kind of
- 27:07Speaker 1: left it out, so I stopped using it. What is
- 27:11Speaker 1: Google TV streamer? What is that good for?
- 27:14Speaker 2: Well, the Google TV Streamer, it's it's it's an over
- 27:16Speaker 2: the top box.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I mean it is.
- 27:18Speaker 2: It is is taking the place of your smart TV
- 27:21Speaker 2: if you have a smart TV, if you don't, it
- 27:24Speaker 2: makes your TV smart. It is the one stop shop
- 27:26Speaker 2: for all your streaming apps, so you can put your Netflix,
- 27:29Speaker 2: your Disney plus your Paramount to your HBO max At, etcetera, etcetera,
- 27:32Speaker 2: etceterax plus all that stuff, right, you can also put
- 27:35Speaker 2: YouTube and YouTube TV and all that stuff right. Everything,
- 27:38Speaker 2: it's a one stop shop. But you know, the original
- 27:41Speaker 2: chrome Cast was simply just a simple streaming from your
- 27:44Speaker 2: phone to your TV. That was the original chrome Cast.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Then they came out with Google TV, and so they
- 27:50Speaker 2: kind of pivoted the Chrome Cast towards the Google TV,
- 27:52Speaker 2: which is where you get all the smart features like
- 27:54Speaker 2: I just mentioned. But now they're upgrading that with more storage,
- 27:58Speaker 2: more RAM fast processor, and it's more of an it's
- 28:03Speaker 2: it's not just something that hides behind your TV anymore
- 28:05Speaker 2: plugged into an HDMI. Obviously it's still plugs into HDMI,
- 28:09Speaker 2: but now it's more of a set top box. And
- 28:11Speaker 2: it's still really honestly the size of I don't know,
- 28:17Speaker 2: a pack of tissue, like a pocket pack of tissues.
- 28:20Speaker 2: You know, it's really not that big. But it's also
- 28:23Speaker 2: four K the newest chrome Cast as well. They do
- 28:26Speaker 2: have four k's model. We have the four K models,
- 28:29Speaker 2: but they're just they're starting to get clunky, they're starting
- 28:34Speaker 2: to turn off randomly, and I think they're just getting
- 28:38Speaker 2: old and there's no cooling involved there. They're really packaged
- 28:42Speaker 2: tightly into a thing, so they get really hot. So
- 28:45Speaker 2: I think this new form factor is gonna help a
- 28:46Speaker 2: little bit with the cooling and obviously the faster process
- 28:50Speaker 2: or more storage. I think it's gonna be a better deal.
- 28:52Speaker 2: You're gonna pay a little bit more. You're gonna pay
- 28:54Speaker 2: one hundred dollars for it. Forty nine, I think is
- 28:57Speaker 2: what forty nine is for the four K model of
- 29:00Speaker 2: the chrome Cast Google TV. Twenty nine is for the
- 29:04Speaker 2: standard like ten EIGHTP Google TV. So it depends on
- 29:08Speaker 2: what you have. If you only have a ten ADPTV,
- 29:10Speaker 2: you don't need the Google TV streamer, you don't need
- 29:13Speaker 2: the chrome Cast four K. Just get yourself the twenty
- 29:15Speaker 2: nine dollars Google TV.
- 29:16Speaker 1: What's the difference between Roku and chrome Cast Because people
- 29:20Speaker 1: get in the store and they look and they see
- 29:22Speaker 1: you've got Apple TV Roku, and then you've got chrome Cast,
- 29:25Speaker 1: and then you've got own. If you're at Walmart, you
- 29:27Speaker 1: know they got their on or ONN or whatever they
- 29:30Speaker 1: call it.
- 29:31Speaker 2: But what's the difference between Ford, Chevy and Mazda. I mean,
- 29:35Speaker 2: it's it's the same thing. You're getting the same product.
- 29:38Speaker 4: In the user experience.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Yeah, user experience, user interface, slightly different form factor, but
- 29:43Speaker 2: basically they all do the same job.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Now, one thing I did see that kind of made
- 29:47Speaker 1: me go, ooh, that's interesting. I like Roku's layout. I've
- 29:52Speaker 1: got Roku, I've got Apple, and I've got pretty much
- 29:54Speaker 1: all of them. I like the way I've got Sling,
- 29:56Speaker 1: and I like that one too. But I like the
- 29:58Speaker 1: layout of it because you really get a chance to
- 30:01Speaker 1: see some you know, you want to see comedy, you
- 30:03Speaker 1: want to see this, and you could connect to, you know,
- 30:06Speaker 1: some of the different services that are out there. But
- 30:09Speaker 1: I heard that the Google TV streamer will have access
- 30:11Speaker 1: to almost eight hundred channels of content. Is that because
- 30:16Speaker 1: it's Google that there's more content that will be available.
- 30:20Speaker 2: They do have the built in Google Free Live TV
- 30:23Speaker 2: that has a bunch of you know, AD supported channels,
- 30:25Speaker 2: kind of like Fubo does or whatever. But yeah, so
- 30:29Speaker 2: they have their own app that has that. But I
- 30:32Speaker 2: think what they're kind of leaning towards is the integration
- 30:36Speaker 2: of YouTube TV plus the the Google Free TV stuff,
- 30:42Speaker 2: plus any of those apps that also support television. I
- 30:45Speaker 2: just don't see eight hundred channels on Google alone, but
- 30:49Speaker 2: I could be wrong.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it was one of the things I was reading
- 30:52Speaker 1: about it. But again, this will be available September twenty sixth.
- 30:55Speaker 1: If you want to get the you know, maybe you've
- 30:57Speaker 1: got a kid's room or guest room and you want
- 30:59Speaker 1: to just get Crome cast device, it's gonna be your
- 31:02Speaker 1: last time to get those until they sell out. From
- 31:04Speaker 1: what I understand, they're not making anymore. They're just they're
- 31:06Speaker 1: going to be done with it.
- 31:08Speaker 2: And technically they're not even called Chrome Casts anymore. They're
- 31:10Speaker 2: called Google TV.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Okay, so real quick note on this whole streaming thing, right,
- 31:14Speaker 4: So you justin mentioned Fubo and it reminded me of
- 31:17Speaker 4: an article I just read. So Fubo sued Discovery, Fox,
- 31:24Speaker 4: all those You remember how all of those were going
- 31:26Speaker 4: to join in to do a joint venture for shaming. Yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 4: Fubo soon put a stop to it. They excited antitrust.
- 31:35Speaker 4: So there is currently an injunction to stop the launch
- 31:39Speaker 4: of the Walt Disney, Condy, Fox Corps and Warner Brothers
- 31:42Speaker 4: Discovery Venue Sports joint venture. So currently that is on hold.
- 31:46Speaker 4: So we talked about it on the show before because
- 31:48Speaker 4: we all know everybody's trying to cram everything back into
- 31:51Speaker 4: one streaming platform like cable. But as of right now,
- 31:54Speaker 4: this was in August sixteenth, so not that long ago.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Fubo put some lawsuits that this is this is uh,
- 32:02Speaker 4: you know, anti trust. Basically, it means it's not good
- 32:05Speaker 4: for the public. It's not good.
- 32:06Speaker 2: It's not only that, but you know, not only what
- 32:09Speaker 2: you're mentioning, but now there's also a lawsuit going out
- 32:12Speaker 2: there or not a lawsuit, and that says, well, actually.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Maybe it has a lawsuit.
- 32:15Speaker 2: They're trying to break up Google, like they're coming after
- 32:17Speaker 2: Google itself now, just saying hey, you guys are in uh,
- 32:20Speaker 2: you know, it's anti trust. Your monopoly, you monopolize the
- 32:23Speaker 2: search engine market. They're the FTC now and the government
- 32:27Speaker 2: are going after Google saying yeah, guys, the party has
- 32:30Speaker 2: been great and all, but it's time for you to
- 32:32Speaker 2: break it up. But why, I mean, because Google is
- 32:37Speaker 2: a monopoly, dude. They own everything. They like Disney, you.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Got Facebook that controls stuff. I mean, everybody could everybody
- 32:46Speaker 1: is just trying to maximize their bottom line, right.
- 32:49Speaker 3: But I guess you could look at it that way.
- 32:50Speaker 2: But when you consider Google's got the TV market, they
- 32:53Speaker 2: got the smartphone market, they got the search engine market,
- 32:56Speaker 2: they got your email market. I mean they touch every
- 32:59Speaker 2: aspect of our lives.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Meta does not.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Well, yeah, yet, now you go ahead.
- 33:10Speaker 4: I was gonna say. Also on the streaming thing. I
- 33:12Speaker 4: don't know if you guys have heard this story about
- 33:13Speaker 4: the guy whose wife died of anaphylactic shock at one
- 33:18Speaker 4: of the Disney.
- 33:18Speaker 6: Resorts and he was suing for uh, timely death, wrongful
- 33:25Speaker 6: death right, and Disney came out and said, yeah, but
- 33:28Speaker 6: you signed up for Disney Plus trial, meaning you forced arbitration,
- 33:32Speaker 6: so good luck.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Well they wait, wait, wait, I know they did.
- 33:36Speaker 4: So they're claiming that because this guy signed up for
- 33:41Speaker 4: a Disney Plus trial years prior. In the terms and
- 33:46Speaker 4: you know the terms and conditions, it says that you
- 33:51Speaker 4: forego lawsuits and go straight to arbitration.
- 33:54Speaker 2: For anything against for anything against Disney Plus, it just
- 33:57Speaker 2: says for anything against Disney.
- 33:58Speaker 4: So now he goes to Disney whatever. How many years
- 34:01Speaker 4: later Disney World, his wife has an allergic reaction in
- 34:05Speaker 4: one of their restaurants and dies. So it's this terrible circus.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Awful after they confirmed with the waiter multiple times that
- 34:11Speaker 2: it did not have any peanuts or or milk in it,
- 34:15Speaker 2: and they said yeah, yeah, yeah, were totally fine. Then
- 34:17Speaker 2: she ends up dying because it did have peanuts.
- 34:19Speaker 4: And so he goes and says, I'm going to see
- 34:21Speaker 4: you guys for a wrongful death. Yet yeah, yeah, they
- 34:23Speaker 4: come back and say, yeah, not so fast. We're not
- 34:27Speaker 4: going to court. It has to go straight to arbitration.
- 34:29Speaker 1: No.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Now they've actually as of today, yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 4: They now they've acktracked as because of.
- 34:33Speaker 3: The public pressure.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you serious, Disney, Oh my lord, that's awful. It's
- 34:39Speaker 1: an awful story about tech companies sometimes maybe well losing
- 34:43Speaker 1: that humanity.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Not only that, but now that this has gained that
- 34:47Speaker 2: attention and gained that huge uh social media viral following,
- 34:51Speaker 2: there are lawyers left and right signing up to defend
- 34:54Speaker 2: this guy, to go up against the army of lawyers
- 34:57Speaker 2: that Disney's gonna have.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Wow, but he can be a huge case. He can't
- 35:02Speaker 1: proceed with this. This is going to be very interesting.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Now you were you were talking to us earlier before,
- 35:06Speaker 1: you know, in our pre show about something that you've
- 35:08Speaker 1: started doing again that we were trying to figure out
- 35:12Speaker 1: what it is. What is it that justin is doing again.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Well, I will show you and I said clash.
- 35:17Speaker 4: I said Clash of Clans because Justin and I played
- 35:19Speaker 4: way too much Clash Clans and spent way too much
- 35:21Speaker 4: money on it when I knew him in CDIA, and
- 35:23Speaker 4: I said drones.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not going to be either of that, all right,
- 35:27Speaker 3: but here you go.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Oh there he goes, Look at that.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I went back into d Jane. That's why I about
- 35:35Speaker 2: the head that got the technique headphones out. So what
- 35:38Speaker 2: I'm showing here on camera is I bought myself a
- 35:41Speaker 2: Hercules DJ deck. It's a professional deck that has you know,
- 35:46Speaker 2: two decks left and right. It's got all the different
- 35:49Speaker 2: buttons that can do all the different hot cues, fading, mixing, scratching,
- 35:54Speaker 2: all the stuff that you would particularly see on a
- 35:56Speaker 2: DJ deck. This thing was only two and ninety nine dollars.
- 36:01Speaker 2: It's not bad, now, I was. I got out of
- 36:04Speaker 2: DJAN when I left the Navy twenty years or not
- 36:06Speaker 2: twenty years ago, about fifteen years ago, and I never
- 36:09Speaker 2: got back into it because I knew it was so
- 36:10Speaker 2: cost prohibitive. You know, these these professional DJs you see
- 36:14Speaker 2: use these decks at like a pioneer and they're like,
- 36:17Speaker 2: they go for like twenty five hundred dollars each, So
- 36:19Speaker 2: now you're looking at five thousand dollars right there. For
- 36:21Speaker 2: two decks. This thing was a great buy. It was
- 36:24Speaker 2: beginner's deck. It connects USB to my laptop. I use
- 36:28Speaker 2: Virtual DJ, right, great program which is open source. It's
- 36:33Speaker 2: it's free, not actually open source. Yeah, it is a
- 36:35Speaker 2: free product. However, if you want to use the deck
- 36:39Speaker 2: involved with it, you do have to pay for the license.
- 36:41Speaker 2: So I paid the ninety nine dollars for the license,
- 36:44Speaker 2: then for the content, all the music I subscribed to Title,
- 36:48Speaker 2: which is like Spotify, but Title integrates with Virtual DJ
- 36:53Speaker 2: and it provides lossless quality music, so you're getting better
- 36:57Speaker 2: quality than you would with Spotify. Now, Andy, this is
- 37:01Speaker 2: the point of where you ask, why in the heck
- 37:03Speaker 2: would you get back into DJ.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Well, we talked about this on a previous show, but
- 37:07Speaker 1: I like the idea. I think it's great. Yeah.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Well, I'm getting back in because I have a couple
- 37:12Speaker 2: of friends that want me to DJ their wedding. And
- 37:15Speaker 2: when I looked into how much a wedding DJ can make,
- 37:19Speaker 2: I was like, oh my lord, I think I can
- 37:23Speaker 2: make this work. A typical wedding, DJ will make about
- 37:25Speaker 2: about three thousand dollars. Yeah, And so I took out
- 37:28Speaker 2: I took out a loan from the Bank of Mesa
- 37:31Speaker 2: with an interest Tree loan, and I bought myself the deck,
- 37:34Speaker 2: I got myself, the license, I got myself, you know,
- 37:36Speaker 2: a couple other things. They paid me half up front,
- 37:41Speaker 2: and I went ahead and paid her back and then
- 37:43Speaker 2: I'll make the other half when I DJ. But what's
- 37:46Speaker 2: funny is I just finally got to sit down with
- 37:48Speaker 2: them and talk about what they wanted for their wedding.
- 37:50Speaker 2: And they're like, Oh, this isn't going to be a
- 37:52Speaker 2: traditional wedding, and these are our playlist. This is what
- 37:55Speaker 2: we want. They want things like Green Day and Slayer.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Oh boy, that's I'm like, uh, how do you expect
- 38:03Speaker 2: me to mix that? And they're like, oh, we don't
- 38:05Speaker 2: you just fade in between. I'm like, I didn't even
- 38:07Speaker 2: need to buy this stuff.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Then talk over the fades. That's what.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Radio. I'm just gonna talk over the fades.
- 38:15Speaker 1: This device, I get back into it, this device from Hercules.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Why does it I've always wondered because I've seen DJ spin.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Now I come from the old days of playing the
- 38:22Speaker 1: techniques twelve hundreds right, yeah, and you know there were
- 38:25Speaker 1: records on them and you had your pitch control and
- 38:27Speaker 1: you would do that and your mix, your slide left right, whatever.
- 38:31Speaker 1: But these have like the look like the size of
- 38:33Speaker 1: a CD on it.
- 38:34Speaker 2: What is that for that? That is your control, That
- 38:37Speaker 2: is your controller right there. So this integrates with the
- 38:41Speaker 2: digital part of the thing. So if I spin this around,
- 38:43Speaker 2: it's going to act like I'm turning back the record
- 38:46Speaker 2: or the CD or whatever. So if I were to
- 38:49Speaker 2: go back and forth, it's going to go.
- 38:51Speaker 1: And it will do that with the title service without delay. Absolutely,
- 38:54Speaker 1: it splits the tracks. And not only that, I can
- 38:57Speaker 1: go down here and these four buttons, I can go vocals,
- 38:59Speaker 1: will only instrumentals, bass or what or just drums like
- 39:05Speaker 1: kick drums, And I can easily because all of these tracks.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Now this software can actually segregate the different portions of
- 39:12Speaker 1: the track, so I can go only vocals or only bass.
- 39:16Speaker 1: So it allows me to help me fade in and
- 39:18Speaker 1: out with a touch of a button. It is amazing
- 39:21Speaker 1: what things have come to. I used to mess around
- 39:23Speaker 1: with Serato. Serrato is kind of like the go to
- 39:26Speaker 1: DJ platform hercules and title and Virtual DJ have done
- 39:33Speaker 1: wonders for the DJ community over the past few years.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Oh great, you got to get some pictures from it.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Is it coming up quick or yes?
- 39:39Speaker 2: Coming up September early September.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to get some pictures from it. We
- 39:43Speaker 1: got to take another break. We have listener comments, so
- 39:46Speaker 1: we definitely want to do talk about some of these
- 39:49Speaker 1: listener questions. And one of them involves somebody who got
- 39:52Speaker 1: ripped off with bitcoin and bitcoin spin in the news,
- 39:55Speaker 1: so we'll talk about that when we come back. I'm
- 39:57Speaker 1: Andy Taylor, I'm Shonda Weird and Justin let me send
- 40:01Speaker 1: us your bitcoin at no, I'm just checking. Yeah, just
- 40:03Speaker 1: signd us on the web tech talk radio dot com.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Now back to tech talk Radio.
- 40:09Speaker 4: So in the last segment, we talked about getting back
- 40:12Speaker 4: into things Justin Smooth's DJ and stuff. I have talked
- 40:16Speaker 4: about this before, getting back into more of an analog
- 40:20Speaker 4: video photo world. So you guys know that I have
- 40:23Speaker 4: my my Polaroid camera that I take pictures with. But
- 40:27Speaker 4: I finally just decided, you know what, I didn't want
- 40:30Speaker 4: to set up a whole bunch of digital camera stuff
- 40:32Speaker 4: on my trip up to the up this last time,
- 40:35Speaker 4: so I just I still took it, obviously, but I
- 40:38Speaker 4: packed in my Minolta X five seventy, my thirty five
- 40:42Speaker 4: millimeters fo old guy wow, and I put I put
- 40:45Speaker 4: on a twenty eight milimeter one two point eight lens
- 40:48Speaker 4: and said, I'm just gonna shoot a roll film while
- 40:51Speaker 4: I'm up there. So I dug around and I found
- 40:53Speaker 4: a I don't even know how old. It was a
- 40:56Speaker 4: very old, probably twenty plus years old role of Kodak
- 41:01Speaker 4: four hundred gold. So for those of you who don't
- 41:04Speaker 4: shoot analog, four hundred film means that's the app that's
- 41:09Speaker 4: the ISO or the ASA as it was called back
- 41:11Speaker 4: in the day of the film. So I have to
- 41:15Speaker 4: shoot around that.
- 41:17Speaker 2: So I really had a number.
- 41:21Speaker 4: The higher the higher, the higher the number, the more
- 41:25Speaker 4: sensitive the film is to light, So meaning if it's
- 41:28Speaker 4: an eight hundred sixteen hundred, I don't think it goes
- 41:30Speaker 4: much higher than end film. It just requires less light
- 41:34Speaker 4: to expor less light to expose properly. So I took
- 41:38Speaker 4: that up to the up and I had no idea
- 41:40Speaker 4: what I was going to get. Because the film is old.
- 41:42Speaker 4: Old film can do weird things. It can look funny,
- 41:45Speaker 4: it cannot expose properly. So I shot the film and
- 41:49Speaker 4: then I sent it off to Indie Film Labs, which
- 41:52Speaker 4: is a website Indie film labs dot com. Eleven dollars
- 41:55Speaker 4: a roll to develop the film, which is a little pricey,
- 41:59Speaker 4: but you know, back in the day you were still
- 42:01Speaker 4: paying seven eight bucks double four by sixes. And I'm
- 42:07Speaker 4: very happy with the results. I just got them back yesterday,
- 42:11Speaker 4: so uh not that not that long ago, and I
- 42:14Speaker 4: just scanned them in before the show. Have Yeah, So
- 42:18Speaker 4: I'm just gonna put up my screen right now so
- 42:21Speaker 4: you can kind of see. If you're on zoom, you
- 42:22Speaker 4: can kind of see. This is my son Max, This
- 42:26Speaker 4: is my niece Caroline. This is Max and Caitlin. So
- 42:29Speaker 4: these are all films, so you can see some of
- 42:30Speaker 4: the imperfections in here, like you can see some of
- 42:32Speaker 4: the weird film the film grades and stuff. But I'm
- 42:36Speaker 4: just so thrilled with how the look and the feel
- 42:40Speaker 4: of how these turned out. So I just encourage you
- 42:43Speaker 4: if you're if you're ever, if ever been into film,
- 42:46Speaker 4: or you shot film, just maybe pick it back up,
- 42:48Speaker 4: just take the camera back out and shoot.
- 42:51Speaker 2: It's very nostalgia. It does it's more homely, you know.
- 42:56Speaker 4: With with all of this technology and AI advancement in
- 43:00Speaker 4: AI art and AI everything, right, I've got to just
- 43:04Speaker 4: get back to being a human and creating art myself.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think you gotta just get that.
- 43:13Speaker 4: And now I'm gonna get these printed. I'm gonna take it.
- 43:15Speaker 3: Where do you buy film? Though?
- 43:16Speaker 2: Can you buy film from that India Film?
- 43:18Speaker 3: Yeah? You can.
- 43:18Speaker 4: Still, you can buy film from any any film labs.
- 43:20Speaker 4: There are more than a dozen niche film markets on
- 43:24Speaker 4: the web that you can buy film from, and there
- 43:27Speaker 4: are people that actually buy and sell and trade film.
- 43:30Speaker 4: So you could say, hey, I've got this thirty year
- 43:32Speaker 4: old role of four hundred gold and somebody might trade you.
- 43:35Speaker 4: You know, you can buy and trade and sell film.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Reddit is a great place for that. There's an analog
- 43:40Speaker 4: film community on Reddit that's really great that you can
- 43:44Speaker 4: buy and sell camera parts. There's a pretty good there's
- 43:48Speaker 4: a couple of users who three D print replacement parts
- 43:50Speaker 4: that aren't available anymore for older cameras.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Nice.
- 43:53Speaker 4: So there's a really good analog community that's out there
- 43:57Speaker 4: and it's fun, you know. It's how I got my
- 43:59Speaker 4: start film back in the late nineties. So I kind
- 44:03Speaker 4: of wont my My my grandparents shot film, and my
- 44:06Speaker 4: mom shot film, and so I was around film my
- 44:09Speaker 4: whole life.
- 44:10Speaker 1: But I kind of wonder, though, you know, places like
- 44:12Speaker 1: the country fair, White Elephant, or thrift stores you know
- 44:15Speaker 1: around the country, though, would this create kind of this
- 44:18Speaker 1: could create kind of a love for the old film cameras,
- 44:21Speaker 1: which probably you could get a great film camera at
- 44:25Speaker 1: a pretty good price, now.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Yeah, you can, but the good ones, right, the ones
- 44:30Speaker 4: that have autofocus, the ones that have motorized serveral lenses,
- 44:38Speaker 4: the ones that have the built in split focus, which
- 44:40Speaker 4: my Minolta X five seventy does, which is if you're
- 44:43Speaker 4: not familiar with split focus, it's just a diapter that's
- 44:47Speaker 4: built into the camera that will actually shift the image
- 44:52Speaker 4: so that when it's in focus, it lines up in
- 44:55Speaker 4: the image, so it's offsetter. So if you look at
- 44:57Speaker 4: it's split, but when it's in focus, it's not split.
- 45:00Speaker 4: So it's part of the It's one of the coolest
- 45:01Speaker 4: features of an analog camera that I've ever experienced my life.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Very cool stuff. All right, here's one of the questions
- 45:07Speaker 1: that we got in right, justin I know that you've
- 45:10Speaker 1: been helping this guy out and on Facebook, Tim who
- 45:14Speaker 1: sent us a note on Facebook about his bitcoin that
- 45:17Speaker 1: was stolen from his wallet, and you know, we the
- 45:22Speaker 1: thing is that you've talked about ledgers, which is a
- 45:25Speaker 1: safer way to keep it rather than having it just
- 45:28Speaker 1: on on coinbase.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Right, yeah, yeah, you never. So when you buy crypto,
- 45:34Speaker 2: you buy it from an exchange like Coinbase. There's there's
- 45:37Speaker 2: a there's a multitude of other exchanges out there, but
- 45:39Speaker 2: the rule of thumb is you never want to leave
- 45:41Speaker 2: your money on an exchange. And it's not necessarily for
- 45:45Speaker 2: people hacking in like what happened to Tim here. It's
- 45:49Speaker 2: more about if the exchange went belly up, they're going
- 45:52Speaker 2: to take your funds with you.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Like it's just kind of like.
- 45:55Speaker 2: A bank, right, I mean a bank, a bank that
- 45:58Speaker 2: is not FDIC insured. Let's put it that way, right,
- 46:01Speaker 2: You're not going to get your money back. So what
- 46:02Speaker 2: happened to Tim here says, you know, hey, tech talk,
- 46:04Speaker 2: I recently had a bitcoin stolen from my wallet. I
- 46:07Speaker 2: had Coinbase investigate the matter. Bitcoin is unrecoverable and is
- 46:11Speaker 2: in a non coin Base account. Coinbase told me that
- 46:15Speaker 2: the transfer theft somehow originated from.
- 46:17Speaker 1: My cell phone, his own cell phone.
- 46:20Speaker 3: YEP.
- 46:20Speaker 2: I am baffled, and I don't see how that's possible,
- 46:22Speaker 2: since nobody has handled my phone before. I do recall
- 46:26Speaker 2: calling a phone number I thought was a customer service
- 46:30Speaker 2: line with Coinbase that turned out to be fraudulent. Is
- 46:33Speaker 2: it possible that the scammers behind the fake coin based
- 46:35Speaker 2: number were able to clone my cell phone digital signature
- 46:38Speaker 2: when I called? And then he goes on to say,
- 46:41Speaker 2: is there anyone able to determine whether or not my
- 46:42Speaker 2: cell phone may have been cloned remotely or over the
- 46:45Speaker 2: phone by a scammer? I believe absolutely this is very
- 46:48Speaker 2: likely a SIM cloning attack. And they cloned. They don't
- 46:54Speaker 2: clone your phone number. They in essence clone your SIM
- 46:58Speaker 2: which is the computer chip that every single cell phone has.
- 47:01Speaker 2: And when you get a new cell phone, or let's
- 47:04Speaker 2: say you switch from Verizon AT and T or vice versa,
- 47:07Speaker 2: you get a new SIM card, and that SIM card
- 47:10Speaker 2: is not only your phone number, it is an Imei
- 47:13Speaker 2: number and a bunch of other like numbers that identify
- 47:17Speaker 2: your phone to the network. There's a new tech attack
- 47:22Speaker 2: going out there, and I don't know exactly how it works,
- 47:25Speaker 2: but they're able to clone SIM cards, And so if
- 47:30Speaker 2: there's a two factor authentication like Coinbase turned on, where
- 47:34Speaker 2: when you log into Coinbase, it says, hey, we sent
- 47:37Speaker 2: you a two factor text message. You know, type in
- 47:40Speaker 2: the six digits you got in the text message. If
- 47:43Speaker 2: somebody clones your phone with a simcard attack, they're also
- 47:47Speaker 2: going to get the number the text message with that
- 47:50Speaker 2: six digit code, and then they'll be able to log
- 47:53Speaker 2: into your account.
- 47:53Speaker 1: The other song I had justin too, is is it
- 47:56Speaker 1: very possible too? They had already cloned the device, whether
- 48:00Speaker 1: they be we're nearby it, they were able to access it,
- 48:04Speaker 1: and now getting that person to call coinbase and then
- 48:09Speaker 1: go through those security procedures as they're doing it, they're
- 48:13Speaker 1: taking the money out. I mean that's always yeah, that's
- 48:15Speaker 1: always a possibility as well.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Very very much likely.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Yeah, And unfortunately with crypto, because it is not regulated,
- 48:23Speaker 2: and that's the beauty of crypto is that the government
- 48:25Speaker 2: doesn't have its hands on it. But with that being said,
- 48:29Speaker 2: it is still then the wild wild West, and you're
- 48:32Speaker 2: not going to be able to do much about it. So,
- 48:35Speaker 2: now if you were to put this on, like I said,
- 48:37Speaker 2: a ledger, which is basically a cold storage wallet, what
- 48:41Speaker 2: I mean by cold storages. It looks like a us
- 48:44Speaker 2: beak stick, but when you unplug it, you put it
- 48:48Speaker 2: in your safe or whatever. Your bitcoin is stored, it's
- 48:51Speaker 2: actually not technically stored on that. It's stored on the blockchain.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Everything is stored on the blockchain, but you're your secret phrase,
- 49:00Speaker 2: your key, everything that unlocks your wallet is on the ledger,
- 49:06Speaker 2: and nobody can do anything with that. And as a
- 49:08Speaker 2: matter of fact, I can take a ledger and I
- 49:11Speaker 2: could give it to a thief and be like, here,
- 49:14Speaker 2: here's all my bitcoin.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Take it.
- 49:15Speaker 2: They still can't do anything with it because they don't
- 49:17Speaker 2: have my seed phrase, they don't have my master password.
- 49:20Speaker 2: The ledger itself is just an interface for you into
- 49:24Speaker 2: the blockchain, but it is still a hundred times safer
- 49:27Speaker 2: than leading your money on coinbase or another exchange.
- 49:31Speaker 1: But this is also important to remind all the listeners,
- 49:34Speaker 1: whether you're dabbling in bitcoin or anything, to remember that
- 49:38Speaker 1: those little emails you get that ask for information, or
- 49:43Speaker 1: you get a phone call that is prompting you to
- 49:45Speaker 1: do something, or you got to log onto Microsoft and
- 49:49Speaker 1: have your security checked, all of those lead to phishing.
- 49:54Speaker 1: All of those lead to you giving up something that
- 49:57Speaker 1: will enable that person to get into your account. And
- 50:01Speaker 1: so you got to be really really careful with this stuff.
- 50:03Speaker 2: I mean you you gotta, in this day and age,
- 50:06Speaker 2: with all the scammers and all this stuff, you gotta
- 50:09Speaker 2: seriously listen to this.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Trust no one seriously.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Even if it sounds like nobody question everything.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, all right. Another one we got from Larry says,
- 50:21Speaker 1: I love listening to your show, and honestly I love
- 50:23Speaker 1: tech shows in general. So hopefully they loved last week's show,
- 50:26Speaker 1: which was kind of a best of is that. I've
- 50:28Speaker 1: listened to Kim I know who he's talking about and
- 50:31Speaker 1: Leo Laporte.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Uh.
- 50:32Speaker 1: There used to be another show in Tucson as well.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I'm thinking it was a tech Guru. There was a
- 50:38Speaker 1: and then there was Christine. I think a glance as
- 50:41Speaker 1: it did a show as well. But he says, I
- 50:44Speaker 1: wonder what is the best way to find tech shows online?
- 50:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's very easy, Larry. Just go to tech talk
- 50:49Speaker 2: radio dot com.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Actually, though seriously, there is I mean it's hard for
- 50:56Speaker 1: you to get onto X and look for a tech show.
- 50:59Speaker 1: This to run made a cast. They're doing some pretty
- 51:02Speaker 1: good things. I'd say take a look at medea cast.
- 51:05Speaker 1: They have a I believe a free solution. But somebody
- 51:09Speaker 1: had asked me, uh, if we were on Reddit, and
- 51:11Speaker 1: I thought about it. Does anybody go on Reddit? I mean,
- 51:14Speaker 1: do people have channels on Reddit where they promote their shows?
- 51:19Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 51:20Speaker 4: You can pay for ads there?
- 51:22Speaker 2: You go, sure, I mean, we can get a Reddit community,
- 51:26Speaker 2: but I mean it's right, yeah, no, not really.

- 53:29Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 53:30Speaker 4: It is incredible. I'm mad, and it is cheap.

- 53:37Speaker 3: Really, you can.
- 53:38Speaker 4: Get the Mini four, not the Mini four Pro, just

- 53:49Speaker 1: I thought it was two ninety nine? Is it three
- 53:51Speaker 1: ninety nine? I think it was two hundred ninety nine bucks?
- 53:54Speaker 1: And I was so ticked off when I saw that
- 53:56Speaker 1: because I spent one thousand dollars on the Mini three.
- 54:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not finding it for that price anymore though,
- 54:04Speaker 4: mind now that I'm looking for But anyways, they announced it.
- 54:06Speaker 4: They said it's tune ninety nine. It was incredible, But
- 54:09Speaker 4: the key factor is if you're not using the intelligent
- 54:12Speaker 4: flight battery, it weighs less than the federal regulated limit
- 54:17Speaker 4: for registering the drone, meaning no training, no regulations against
- 54:23Speaker 4: it kind of fly however you want. Don't be stupid,
- 54:26Speaker 4: but you don't have to go register. You don't have
- 54:28Speaker 4: the register the FAA. You can just get it and
- 54:30Speaker 4: fly it.
- 54:31Speaker 1: One of the things we're gonna have to look at
- 54:32Speaker 1: this week and maybe we talk about next week in
- 54:34Speaker 1: the show, the register of the You know, the government
- 54:38Speaker 1: has been pretty much anti DJI. There's been you know,
- 54:41Speaker 1: of course, a lot of talk about that. Now they're
- 54:44Speaker 1: looking at tp link. I saw a story that tp
- 54:48Speaker 1: link is coming under fire because of what they're routers
- 54:51Speaker 1: and their security devices and cameras could give up. So
- 54:54Speaker 1: again that's something we'll have to talk about on next
- 54:56Speaker 1: week's show. But if you want to find out more
- 54:58Speaker 1: about this drone Sean, where do you do that?
