- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Ben and Ashley. I almost famous in depth.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I love you thing. You're just living your truth every
- 0:13Speaker 1: moment of every day, and I just love it so much.
- 0:16Speaker 1: The video the other day, ash where Jared posts and
- 0:20Speaker 1: of you just farting away on the couch really got me. No,
- 0:25Speaker 1: he didn't. I don't care about anything. Maybe I should
- 0:30Speaker 1: care more. Oh that's so cute, Ben. Oh my gosh,
- 0:34Speaker 1: congratulations face to face. I'm so happy for you guys. Thanks, Caitlin.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Good to see you, so good to see you. Yeah.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I just got in yesterday. I literally landed. I had
- 0:45Speaker 1: my last Nashville show um for casting, and then UM
- 0:50Speaker 1: like wanted to say huge to everyone who would help me.
- 0:52Speaker 1: So I took everybody out and I did dip early
- 0:54Speaker 1: because I was like, I gotta get up at five
- 0:56Speaker 1: and go dance for the whole day. So I landed. Yes,
- 0:58Speaker 1: I went straight to the dance studio and just like
- 1:01Speaker 1: got my ass kicked. Okay, so you're in l A
- 1:04Speaker 1: right now. I mean, Caitlin, I'm like stressed by how
- 1:07Speaker 1: much you have to travel, and especially since I read
- 1:10Speaker 1: that recently you felt like you had to talk yourself
- 1:12Speaker 1: out of a panic attack on a five hour flight,
- 1:15Speaker 1: So that's never fun. My sister has been going through
- 1:18Speaker 1: something where she's been having a lot of pants panic attacks,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and especially they hit on flights and you get so
- 1:25Speaker 1: caustrophobic and you have like nowhere to turn. I mean,
- 1:28Speaker 1: how are you keeping up with this travel schedule of yours?
- 1:31Speaker 1: And you know what's funny, remember like a year ago
- 1:34Speaker 1: on our show, you were like everywhere, like you told everybody,
- 1:38Speaker 1: We're like, this is the year that I'm going to
- 1:40Speaker 1: relax now and it starts and I can't do anything out.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah that was a really really cute joke I made
- 1:49Speaker 1: on your show. Uh yeah, Honestly, you have to take
- 1:52Speaker 1: everything day by day. It's crazy. It's I always am
- 1:56Speaker 1: so open about because usually when I go through my
- 2:01Speaker 1: um like hormones, hormones, it's it's like clockwork every month
- 2:05Speaker 1: for me that I'm going to get depressed, that I'm
- 2:07Speaker 1: going to get anxious, And if I add all the
- 2:10Speaker 1: things I have going on, if I don't just like you, like,
- 2:13Speaker 1: take it day by day or sometimes hour by hour,
- 2:16Speaker 1: it really just piles up. And that's what I had
- 2:18Speaker 1: to do, just like to get on that plane yesterday
- 2:21Speaker 1: to come to l A I was like, oh no,
- 2:23Speaker 1: this feels like one of those times where I am
- 2:25Speaker 1: like I could easily panic or I could go into
- 2:28Speaker 1: like a really bad place because I have so much
- 2:31Speaker 1: going on and I'm so tired, and I was coming
- 2:33Speaker 1: off and getting sick, and I honestly just had to
- 2:37Speaker 1: like have a little like check in with myself. I
- 2:41Speaker 1: made sure government oils with me on the plane. I
- 2:45Speaker 1: have like my headset where I listened to a flight meditation. Uh.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm sure I'm just like set up for success now
- 2:53Speaker 1: on a plane in case I feel that way. Uh,
- 2:56Speaker 1: And it's it's tricky, but yeah, I felt that way.
- 2:58Speaker 1: And then you know what, I actually dancing for five
- 3:00Speaker 1: hours yesterday with anxiety, which I don't know how I
- 3:03Speaker 1: did that, but it's like I came home and I
- 3:05Speaker 1: needed to decorate my hotel room with Christmas decorations to
- 3:10Speaker 1: make myself feel better. Wait, that's so cute. We're watching
- 3:13Speaker 1: her right now. She's got blue christmaslides going around the
- 3:15Speaker 1: canopy of her bed. How at least at least predictable
- 3:19Speaker 1: with your cycle? Yes, it's extremely Like I said, clockwork,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I write it down. I have an app I track everything.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I could literally I've got it down to a science
- 3:29Speaker 1: of like when I'm going to feel this way and
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm so happy doing what I'm doing that it almost
- 3:36Speaker 1: balances out because it's not like I'm doing things where
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm like, why am I doing this to myself? Why
- 3:40Speaker 1: am I putting myself in these situations? Why am I
- 3:42Speaker 1: overworking myself? I get into that dance studio and I'm like,
- 3:46Speaker 1: how lucky am I right now? Like this is a
- 3:48Speaker 1: dream come true? And it helps because I'm just so
- 3:51Speaker 1: happy to be there. So, I mean, because this is
- 3:55Speaker 1: a great topic because so many even coming off of
- 3:58Speaker 1: the last couple of years, like how do you typically
- 4:00Speaker 1: processed through this? Then I mean, because Caitlin, your life
- 4:03Speaker 1: hasn't slowed down. And then as you said, you said,
- 4:06Speaker 1: so I'm an introvert and something for me if I'm
- 4:10Speaker 1: and I've been in this where you're on a flight,
- 4:12Speaker 1: you've been gone from home for three weeks. Every place
- 4:15Speaker 1: you go has a new demand and a new kind
- 4:17Speaker 1: of minds, which I have to get to. You get tired, Uh,
- 4:19Speaker 1: it feels like things pile up. And then, like you said,
- 4:22Speaker 1: then last night's people, I want to take you out
- 4:24Speaker 1: to dinner or take out the party, which is great
- 4:26Speaker 1: because they love you and they want to celebrate you,
- 4:27Speaker 1: but it's one more thing. And so how are you
- 4:31Speaker 1: keeping yourself from like going into the extreme and crashing
- 4:35Speaker 1: and burning here? I have learned to say no. I mean,
- 4:41Speaker 1: I have to prioritize my health. I know what that
- 4:44Speaker 1: feels like to get on a plane, and if I'm
- 4:46Speaker 1: hungover and have anxiety, it is being over for me.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So I need to like prioritize my mental health. No.
- 4:54Speaker 1: What like sleep, I've function on sleep, so you know,
- 4:58Speaker 1: I need to get eight hours. Last night when I
- 5:01Speaker 1: was done, some people were like going to dinner, Um,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I want to see Tasia because we've in each other.
- 5:08Speaker 1: And I'm like, I have to put myself first and
- 5:10Speaker 1: say no, I'm gonna go get my room calm and
- 5:14Speaker 1: cozy and lighted candle, and I'm going to try and
- 5:16Speaker 1: sleep for like as many hours as i can to
- 5:18Speaker 1: just like recharge my batteries. Because I weirdly enough, I
- 5:24Speaker 1: am an introvert and an extrovert, and I love being
- 5:29Speaker 1: alone and I love having the time to myself, and
- 5:32Speaker 1: I just I kind of have both in me, and
- 5:35Speaker 1: so I need to know when I'm like having the
- 5:37Speaker 1: energy to be an extrovert and when I don't and
- 5:40Speaker 1: need to recharge my batteries because I'm just like like
- 5:43Speaker 1: it's one or the other. Now, you said that it
- 5:47Speaker 1: can affect your relationship with Jason a lot of times
- 5:49Speaker 1: because he has to deal with these moods of yours.
- 5:53Speaker 1: What has been an example just because like we like
- 5:56Speaker 1: to get into the dirt here, like of a really
- 5:58Speaker 1: bad fight you've had, but you knew it was just
- 6:00Speaker 1: because of the like the state that you were in
- 6:03Speaker 1: that week. Oh that's a really I That's the the
- 6:06Speaker 1: scary part is I don't even know if it was
- 6:08Speaker 1: something specific, Like I don't know if I can pinpoint like, oh,
- 6:11Speaker 1: this was what the fight was over. But Jason and
- 6:13Speaker 1: I are actually really good fighters. That sounds like like
- 6:18Speaker 1: when we fight, it's like I I am emotional and
- 6:22Speaker 1: I do react with emotion, and I always say he
- 6:24Speaker 1: reacts with logic, but like he's actually tapped into his
- 6:28Speaker 1: more emotional side, which is nice because then he can
- 6:31Speaker 1: understand more where I'm coming from. Instead of just being
- 6:35Speaker 1: like I need to fix this, what do I need
- 6:37Speaker 1: to do? You're being like unreasonable? He's like, okay, is
- 6:42Speaker 1: it like at a time where you're feeling anxiety, like
- 6:45Speaker 1: how could I help, and then we'll like get to
- 6:47Speaker 1: the root of the issue. And so it's not always
- 6:50Speaker 1: like that, but when I am really like in a
- 6:53Speaker 1: low place of anxiety, I think he just knows to
- 6:57Speaker 1: not to take things personal. Um. And it's also something
- 7:00Speaker 1: that I need to work on. I just like bark
- 7:02Speaker 1: things when I'm in a mood and I'm just like like,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'll just snap back and they'll be like, Caitlin, it's
- 7:08Speaker 1: stronger than me. It's stronger than me, and I think
- 7:11Speaker 1: he knows that, and there's just a lot of forgiveness
- 7:13Speaker 1: at that time of the month. But it's I'm trying
- 7:16Speaker 1: to think of a specific fight. Um. I think it
- 7:21Speaker 1: was like more I know what it is. Jason doesn't
- 7:25Speaker 1: like if he feels like someone is demanding from him,
- 7:29Speaker 1: Like he's totally fine if I asked him politely to
- 7:31Speaker 1: do something, he would do it acad If I seem demanding,
- 7:35Speaker 1: he's gonna bark back at me and it's going to
- 7:38Speaker 1: turn into something that was absolutely nothing because he doesn't
- 7:41Speaker 1: like feeling that way. And I feel like that's what
- 7:43Speaker 1: was our probably last big fight that makes sense. Well
- 7:47Speaker 1: we uh, Caitlin, we just mentioned um and and thank
- 7:51Speaker 1: you for sharing all that. Um. But we also Ben,
- 7:54Speaker 1: you're so cute because I just like went on a
- 7:56Speaker 1: rant there and I don't even know if I was
- 7:58Speaker 1: making sense, and I went on for song. You're like,
- 8:00Speaker 1: that makes perfect sense. Like it does make sense. You
- 8:04Speaker 1: made sense. You're good at this. You're good at talking, Caitlin.
- 8:07Speaker 1: It's a it's a gift that you have surprised of
- 8:09Speaker 1: the world. Um. But talking about things that you're up to. Uh,
- 8:15Speaker 1: We're gonna get through a lot of them here, uh
- 8:17Speaker 1: in this time that we have with you. But Dance
- 8:19Speaker 1: with the Stars Live to two is something you're gonna
- 8:22Speaker 1: participate in. Uh. Tickets are and sale now. To purchase

- 8:40Speaker 1: opportunities will be available through Dance with the Stars Tour
- 8:43Speaker 1: dot Com. No, that was really good. I thought I
- 8:46Speaker 1: was gonna have to say all that, but you just yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 1: got you, Caitlin. With the Dancing with the Stars tour,
- 8:52Speaker 1: coming off of your Off the Vine tour. Have you
- 8:56Speaker 1: ever like thought I'm just gonna say no, like I'm
- 8:59Speaker 1: just not gonna do it, or are you like very
- 9:02Speaker 1: excited every time? It's such a good question. Um, there
- 9:08Speaker 1: are times where I'm like, why did I do this
- 9:11Speaker 1: to myself? I'm going to be an actual wreck and
- 9:15Speaker 1: I've got too much going on. My body is like
- 9:17Speaker 1: shutting down on me. But like with dancing, it's so
- 9:22Speaker 1: different from me because this is genuinely something I like
- 9:26Speaker 1: that made me happy my whole life. Dancing was something
- 9:29Speaker 1: that helped my I had O c D when I
- 9:32Speaker 1: was little, to the max it was nuts. It helped
- 9:35Speaker 1: me with O c D. It helped me with anxiety,
- 9:37Speaker 1: It helped me with my parents divorce, It helped me
- 9:40Speaker 1: go through so many things in my life because I
- 9:42Speaker 1: truly loved to do it. And when I kind of
- 9:46Speaker 1: got to a point in my career of dance where
- 9:48Speaker 1: I was like, I'm really not good enough, Like it's
- 9:50Speaker 1: only so much to love what you do, but I'm
- 9:52Speaker 1: really not at the level where I can do this
- 9:54Speaker 1: as a career. So for me to actually go back
- 9:57Speaker 1: and be able to go and dancing with the stars.
- 9:59Speaker 1: When the mirror all I thought that was, I was like, Okay,
- 10:01Speaker 1: there you go. Proof to myself. I am good enough
- 10:04Speaker 1: I would dancer, and I thought I would never be
- 10:07Speaker 1: able to dance again. So when they brought up an
- 10:09Speaker 1: opportunity of tour, like this is literally what twelve year
- 10:13Speaker 1: old Caitlin was working towards in her whole life. Was
- 10:16Speaker 1: going to be on tour bus and dance in front
- 10:18Speaker 1: of crowds with a bunch of professional dancers. And there's
- 10:22Speaker 1: no way in hell I could say no to that.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And although I'm going to be so tired and I
- 10:26Speaker 1: hate that I have to be away from Jason and
- 10:28Speaker 1: the dogs for this long, I'm going to look back
- 10:30Speaker 1: on this and like it's just going to be the
- 10:33Speaker 1: most rewarding thing in the world to me. I was
- 10:35Speaker 1: gonna say, like, if you were going to ever say
- 10:37Speaker 1: no to anything, it just could not be this one. Exactly.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Like if they were like, Caitlin, do you want to
- 10:43Speaker 1: take over on the Generous Show, I'd be like, I
- 10:45Speaker 1: might have to take it. I am tired of dancing, absolutely.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Oh man, I can't wait till next year we talked
- 10:52Speaker 1: to you again. We're like, hey, remember you said you're
- 10:54Speaker 1: not going to do the talk show. Well, oh my god,
- 10:58Speaker 1: there's an opening at up, so it's like an actual possibility.
- 11:03Speaker 1: The good news is, I don't think I am qualified
- 11:05Speaker 1: for the el position, like bringing like Ryan Reynolds to
- 11:09Speaker 1: take over. They're not. That's a that's a level a Canadian.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm like down on the d level. No, I don't
- 11:14Speaker 1: think you're on day. Speaking of not feeling qualified, you
- 11:28Speaker 1: did just finish your podcast here we're gonna talk about that.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You are getting ready to jump in the Dancing with
- 11:32Speaker 1: the Stars. Um, the last few weeks of this season
- 11:36Speaker 1: of the Bachelor are airing right now, So you're finishing
- 11:39Speaker 1: your second full season as the host of co host
- 11:43Speaker 1: of The Bachelor atte Was it difficult for you at all?
- 11:47Speaker 1: At any point? Did you feel prepared for this? No,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I don't feel prepared for that role in any way,
- 11:55Speaker 1: shape or form. I of course love hosting. I did
- 11:58Speaker 1: on my podcast every day, but it's like me being
- 12:01Speaker 1: me and it's my platform and I'm able to just
- 12:04Speaker 1: you know, talk about anything, I mean anything on there
- 12:08Speaker 1: and it'll go. Um. Stepping into a role where you
- 12:11Speaker 1: are responsible to carry a show and be a professional
- 12:15Speaker 1: and read a teleprompter and be able to, you know,
- 12:20Speaker 1: deliver these like iconic lines that don't belong to you.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I felt so scared one because I didn't know what
- 12:28Speaker 1: my role was going to be. When we first went
- 12:30Speaker 1: into it, I was like, Oh, we're just gonna mentor
- 12:32Speaker 1: show up for a couple of dates, like I'll probably
- 12:34Speaker 1: get to go home in the middle of it, come back,
- 12:36Speaker 1: like maybe be there for the finale. I don't know.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I didn't know I was going to be handing out
- 12:40Speaker 1: a final rows. I didn't know I was gonna be
- 12:42Speaker 1: posting not there on stage for the Men tell all,
- 12:46Speaker 1: like we had no idea what we were doing. So
- 12:49Speaker 1: going into the second season, I did feel a little
- 12:51Speaker 1: more prepared, but again I have this like imposter syndrome
- 12:54Speaker 1: where I feel like the fraud police are gonna be
- 12:56Speaker 1: called and I'm gonna go like somebody's gonna be like you,
- 12:59Speaker 1: you can't do this role. This is not your role,
- 13:02Speaker 1: and like you know, and the internet has there are
- 13:05Speaker 1: things that they are going to say about it that
- 13:06Speaker 1: might even convince me. I'm like, do I deserve to
- 13:08Speaker 1: be here? Because it is such an important, huge, iconic
- 13:13Speaker 1: role that's been you know, with Chris Harrison has been
- 13:15Speaker 1: that face for so long and so UM, I definitely
- 13:19Speaker 1: get imposter syndrome, but I also love doing it so
- 13:22Speaker 1: much and it's it's something that I feel like, you know,
- 13:25Speaker 1: every year I want to do I want to try
- 13:27Speaker 1: and be better at everything that I do and to
- 13:29Speaker 1: step into a role like that, And I'm trying to
- 13:32Speaker 1: think of it as like it's just a different perspective.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It's I'm not trying to be Chris Harrison. I'm not
- 13:38Speaker 1: trying to be like that host. I'm trying to just
- 13:40Speaker 1: be Caitlin that has knowledge and insight and a different
- 13:44Speaker 1: perspective to help the bachelortte just thrive in her role. Well,
- 13:49Speaker 1: I do want to ask a follow up question that though, um,
- 13:52Speaker 1: tell us more about this. So you, I mean, Caitlin,
- 13:55Speaker 1: your resume over the last five years as as impressive
- 13:57Speaker 1: as anybody's inn entertainment. Uh. Um, you're the Bachelorette, you
- 14:02Speaker 1: have UM a top ten podcast. Uh You've been got
- 14:07Speaker 1: you received so many accolades for that. You step in
- 14:09Speaker 1: into Dance with the Stars, you win the mirror Ball,
- 14:12Speaker 1: You'll leave Dance with the Stars, you become the co
- 14:14Speaker 1: host of the Bachelorette for two seasons, successfully doing it well,
- 14:18Speaker 1: stepping into that rule. Now you're gonna join go on tour.
- 14:21Speaker 1: You just finished another podcaster. I mean you've got engaged,
- 14:25Speaker 1: but I'm talking to entertainment. Yet you still speak to
- 14:29Speaker 1: this impostor syndrome. Can you tell us more about that?
- 14:34Speaker 1: I know I always do that. I always dive into
- 14:37Speaker 1: this with my friends in Nashville who are country singers,
- 14:39Speaker 1: where they are like the best of the best, so talented,
- 14:44Speaker 1: they've been singing their whole life, and they get up
- 14:46Speaker 1: there on stage and think like, well, why me and
- 14:49Speaker 1: how did I get here? And like they have those thoughts,
- 14:52Speaker 1: and I'm like, but what, you were literally born to
- 14:54Speaker 1: do this. And that's what they say to me there,
- 14:56Speaker 1: like you were born to do this. And I always
- 14:59Speaker 1: have to say back, like two, when I was little,
- 15:02Speaker 1: I would walk around and I would want to host
- 15:04Speaker 1: and interview people all the time I was little. It
- 15:07Speaker 1: was like something that I love to do. I love
- 15:09Speaker 1: getting to know people. I loved interviewed them. I love
- 15:11Speaker 1: being interviewed. I thought it was just so much fun.
- 15:14Speaker 1: And so I'm trying to remind myself like this is
- 15:17Speaker 1: where I'm supposed to be, and I need to stop
- 15:19Speaker 1: having the imposter syndrome because I would not wish that
- 15:22Speaker 1: on anyone. And I have so many listeners from the
- 15:24Speaker 1: podcast or people reach out on Instagram where they're so
- 15:27Speaker 1: afraid to go after what they want to do because
- 15:30Speaker 1: they don't think they would succeed or they aren't good enough.
- 15:34Speaker 1: And you know, I've been there. I felt out because
- 15:36Speaker 1: a dancer, But I think, you know, it's just that
- 15:39Speaker 1: saying of like you would have so much more regret.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And what's worse if you go do something that you're
- 15:46Speaker 1: gonna step outside of your comfort zone or take a
- 15:48Speaker 1: big opportunity or leap and do something that you love
- 15:52Speaker 1: to do, wouldn't you rather quote unquote fail which only
- 15:55Speaker 1: means you're going to grow from it, or would you
- 15:57Speaker 1: rather have a regret? And so I just keep telling
- 16:00Speaker 1: I self that over and over, like just like, of course,
- 16:04Speaker 1: somebody is always going to be more qualified for the
- 16:06Speaker 1: job or better than you in certain ways, but you're
- 16:10Speaker 1: gonna be where you are for a reason, and you
- 16:12Speaker 1: have to just like marinate in that and be like
- 16:14Speaker 1: I'm here and I'm doing this right now, and if
- 16:17Speaker 1: I fail or if it doesn't work out, or say
- 16:19Speaker 1: the Bachelor doesn't want me anymore. I did it, I tried,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I learned. I grew so much from that experience, and
- 16:25Speaker 1: you've got to take that and go to the next thing.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I love that because regret is like one of the
- 16:31Speaker 1: worst feelings that you are almost always avoid having. Yes,
- 16:36Speaker 1: so true. Okay, let's get into like a little bit
- 16:40Speaker 1: of the Bachelor relationships right now. You watch Katie and
- 16:44Speaker 1: Blake get engaged, and like, let's be honest, now that
- 16:48Speaker 1: they broke up, did you really feel like that was
- 16:50Speaker 1: gonna be a long term thing? Because watching that finale,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I didn't feel it. Okay, I don't know, because I agree.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Watching the finale, I was like, the way it happened
- 17:06Speaker 1: to get there didn't feel right because you're like, oh,
- 17:09Speaker 1: did she really want Blake or did people drop out?
- 17:12Speaker 1: And then that's who she ended up with because I
- 17:15Speaker 1: want to pose. Yeah, And it kind of felt like
- 17:19Speaker 1: a joke almost to that, Like it was kind of
- 17:22Speaker 1: like like he was like I even love you, and
- 17:26Speaker 1: she's like, oh, I haven't love you, and then it
- 17:27Speaker 1: was like it was like he was gonna teaser like
- 17:29Speaker 1: maybe I won't propose and maybe I will. It was
- 17:31Speaker 1: like keeping her on her toes and I was like,
- 17:32Speaker 1: that doesn't feel romantic, But I will say that knowing
- 17:37Speaker 1: Katie and hanging out with her after like they were
- 17:40Speaker 1: solid and they were so good and I was actually
- 17:43Speaker 1: like they could work. Um, I don't know what the
- 17:46Speaker 1: heck happened. I still like, I want I've wanted to
- 17:50Speaker 1: just sit down and talk to her for so long,
- 17:51Speaker 1: but I mean, we're both busy. But I still don't
- 17:54Speaker 1: know what happened. Because I really thought, Okay, it's gonna
- 17:57Speaker 1: be challenging for them with him gone and you know,
- 17:59Speaker 1: going into from places and she's in Seattle and then
- 18:02Speaker 1: she's moving and she's always out and about and he was,
- 18:05Speaker 1: you know, really passionate about what he was doing. And
- 18:07Speaker 1: I was like, that's gonna be really tricky. I've done
- 18:09Speaker 1: long distance before. But you know what, I actually thought
- 18:12Speaker 1: they would make work. I was wrong. A couple of
- 18:17Speaker 1: other relationships in Bachelor Nation. Obviously, um, we're in the
- 18:22Speaker 1: midst of Michelle's season right now. This group of guys
- 18:27Speaker 1: seemed to be a great group of guys. You're there
- 18:31Speaker 1: in person around them. First question is how much interaction
- 18:34Speaker 1: did you actually get to have with these guys during
- 18:36Speaker 1: this season? And not a ton. I mean again, you
- 18:42Speaker 1: want to keep it professional. So you want because when
- 18:46Speaker 1: we come in for these moments, like it's so serious,
- 18:49Speaker 1: Like I have a hard time because I always smile
- 18:51Speaker 1: when I talk, and so in these moments I have
- 18:53Speaker 1: to remember, like this, these people's emotions are so invested
- 18:57Speaker 1: and this is real. Obviously we've we've all been there
- 19:00Speaker 1: and we know how real it is. And so you
- 19:02Speaker 1: want to keep it so you know, I'm not just
- 19:05Speaker 1: shooting this with you know, Nate or something and then
- 19:09Speaker 1: have to go in and he's like, oh, there's Caitlin.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Like you want it to be real and serious, and
- 19:14Speaker 1: like I want Michelle to get to know them the best,
- 19:19Speaker 1: and I don't want to, you know, have my opinion
- 19:22Speaker 1: of them jade hers, or get in the way of anything.
- 19:26Speaker 1: So um our interaction is very little. We you know,
- 19:30Speaker 1: if we pass by in the hallway, Hey how's it going,
- 19:34Speaker 1: But uh, not a lot, because we really want Michelle
- 19:37Speaker 1: to form her own relationships and opinions. And I'm such
- 19:41Speaker 1: a loudmouth and you know me, I could talk for
- 19:44Speaker 1: hours to a wall and if I knew anything about
- 19:47Speaker 1: these guys too much. I would want to just tell
- 19:48Speaker 1: her everything. So are you able to get like, do
- 19:51Speaker 1: you feel like you're able to get a reasonable judge
- 19:53Speaker 1: of character on these guys? Then through the process, are
- 19:56Speaker 1: you that like that much separated where you're kind of like, hey,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I'm just letting Michelle fill me in when she wants
- 20:02Speaker 1: to fill me in, and I'll get a little updates
- 20:04Speaker 1: here and there. It's kind of a mixture of both
- 20:08Speaker 1: because obviously, when we're on the date, we really see
- 20:10Speaker 1: them and how they interact, and they all talk to
- 20:13Speaker 1: us and we're part of the date, so that's different,
- 20:15Speaker 1: and you can really got to get a good read
- 20:17Speaker 1: of character on the dates because you're seeing also when
- 20:21Speaker 1: the cameras just aren't on them and when like you're
- 20:23Speaker 1: just there watching and getting a judge of character for
- 20:25Speaker 1: all of these guys. Um. But other than that, we
- 20:29Speaker 1: do let Michelle. I mean, that's one of the different
- 20:31Speaker 1: most difficult parts for me being in this position is
- 20:34Speaker 1: wanting to just be such a good friend and be like, hey,
- 20:37Speaker 1: send that guy home. I know too much. Uh So
- 20:41Speaker 1: you really have to like keep it, you know, I guess,
- 20:44Speaker 1: separate and let her figure things out, but you do
- 20:46Speaker 1: get a good judge of character for sure. So then
- 20:58Speaker 1: going into the finale with Brendan and Nate, did you
- 21:03Speaker 1: expect those two to be there? Did you expect Joe
- 21:06Speaker 1: to be eliminated this week? And was there one that
- 21:09Speaker 1: you were rooting for harder than the other? Honestly, I
- 21:13Speaker 1: was shocked that Joe went home because we saw that
- 21:18Speaker 1: like connection where she used the word soul mate and
- 21:22Speaker 1: she really like it was a slow build up, but
- 21:26Speaker 1: they got there. It wasn't like they didn't get there.
- 21:30Speaker 1: And the way she was telling him, like I could
- 21:33Speaker 1: see you, I could really see this working for us,
- 21:35Speaker 1: and I'm following for you, and that soulmate material. Like,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I was really surprised because again we chatted on that
- 21:43Speaker 1: beach and I was like, this is gonna be one
- 21:47Speaker 1: of the hardest things for her, even though she's just
- 21:49Speaker 1: so confident in her decisions and when she makes them,
- 21:52Speaker 1: she's like, I'm solid. But I was like, I would
- 21:54Speaker 1: be a wreck because she genuinely like loved all three
- 21:57Speaker 1: of these guys, and Joe, to me, I thought was
- 22:01Speaker 1: almost in my mind, I'm like, was he the one
- 22:03Speaker 1: that got away? Because they were pretty special together. Okay,
- 22:07Speaker 1: So I'm not sure what happens in the end and whatnot,
- 22:10Speaker 1: But when Joe was eliminated, Kayla, just tell me that.
- 22:14Speaker 1: You can really tell that Ashley is very excited about
- 22:17Speaker 1: this topic because all of a sudden, her arms start waving,
- 22:20Speaker 1: she starts talking faster. She's so excited to bring you
- 22:23Speaker 1: this question. I just want to it's Laurena comment. But like,
- 22:29Speaker 1: I just watched that exit and I thought, like, Okay,
- 22:32Speaker 1: this actually may not be over. This might be one
- 22:35Speaker 1: of those situations where she goes back to Joe at
- 22:39Speaker 1: the end of all this, and maybe not immediately, I'm
- 22:41Speaker 1: not saying like on the finale, but like down the road,
- 22:44Speaker 1: especially since they're from the same place. It was. Okay,
- 22:47Speaker 1: when I left Paradise the first time, my sister was
- 22:51Speaker 1: down there for the first couple of days, so she
- 22:54Speaker 1: knew that Jared and I definitely like there was like
- 22:58Speaker 1: something about him. And so when I got on the
- 23:01Speaker 1: phone with her in the car when I was eliminated
- 23:04Speaker 1: or like when I was, you know, decide, we all
- 23:06Speaker 1: decided that I was time for me to go home.
- 23:09Speaker 1: She was like, I don't think this is over, And
- 23:12Speaker 1: that's kind of what I felt like with Joe and Michell, Okay,
- 23:17Speaker 1: well I'm not gonna say anything, um but I too
- 23:22Speaker 1: was like, I don't here's my um my worry is
- 23:29Speaker 1: she had such strong connections with so with the three
- 23:33Speaker 1: guys so hard that I'm like, whatever decision she makes,
- 23:39Speaker 1: I hope she feels solid in that decision because all
- 23:42Speaker 1: three of those guys seemed right for her. Isn't it
- 23:47Speaker 1: weird how that happens just people. It's crazy how you
- 23:50Speaker 1: can like fall from more than one person at one time.
- 23:53Speaker 1: It's weird. Remember when you just got absolutely yeah, we're
- 24:00Speaker 1: all doing it. We're all doing it now. Oh my god. Okay,
- 24:05Speaker 1: that made me think about Clayton because we all know
- 24:07Speaker 1: that Clayton is having he's staying it or something to
- 24:11Speaker 1: three girls, Uh, how did you like Clayton? And do
- 24:17Speaker 1: you know why they picked him to the Bachelor because
- 24:20Speaker 1: you've actually met him? Because we're still a little confused.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Have you guys not met him yet? No? Oh? Okay,
- 24:29Speaker 1: So I really like Clayton. I don't think we got
- 24:33Speaker 1: to see enough of him on Michelle season, and that
- 24:35Speaker 1: was very confusing because if you're gonna make him the
- 24:37Speaker 1: next Bachelor, we want to know why. Uh, And I
- 24:40Speaker 1: definitely don't think they showed enough. I do remember him,
- 24:45Speaker 1: and I remember going into the rooms at certain times
- 24:47Speaker 1: to drop off a date card or see how the
- 24:49Speaker 1: guys were feeling. And he was always one that really
- 24:52Speaker 1: spoke up about his emotions and his feelings, and he
- 24:55Speaker 1: was just very in tune with himself and he was
- 24:58Speaker 1: very um open of his securities and he just seems
- 25:03Speaker 1: like a very passionate guy with a really big heart.
- 25:06Speaker 1: And so with other options, I would have gone forward, Yeah,
- 25:11Speaker 1: for sure. But I do think Clayton's season is going
- 25:14Speaker 1: to be um incredible. But you know a lot of
- 25:18Speaker 1: times it's the women that that can really pull the
- 25:22Speaker 1: show too, and I think he's got some like entertaining
- 25:26Speaker 1: ones in there. So uh, I don't know. I am
- 25:29Speaker 1: rooting for him because he does seem like such a
- 25:31Speaker 1: good human. Um, but yeah, I got very triggered when
- 25:35Speaker 1: he's like I was intimate with more than one. I
- 25:38Speaker 1: was like, Uh, there we go, that happened. Happen? I know. Um, well, Caitlyn,
- 25:49Speaker 1: the last few minutes we have with you, I I
- 25:51Speaker 1: do have because you've now been involved, Um, you were
- 25:55Speaker 1: the bachelor during my time on the show. Um, and
- 25:58Speaker 1: for that, I've I've always been very being thankful. And
- 26:01Speaker 1: I remember you and I once having a conversation. It
- 26:05Speaker 1: was I believe it was the night in the Fantasy suite,
- 26:08Speaker 1: and you just said, Hey, life changes a lot, like
- 26:11Speaker 1: when you're the bachelorette, Like when you when you're on
- 26:13Speaker 1: the cast, it's crazy, and like, get a couple of
- 26:15Speaker 1: phone calls, you've been a couple of podcast interviews, it
- 26:17Speaker 1: become the bachelorrette And I remember just being like you're
- 26:20Speaker 1: just saying, like, I don't know how I'm going to
- 26:22Speaker 1: handle this, and then I became the Bachelor not knowing,
- 26:24Speaker 1: and like really related with that, like, hey, I have
- 26:26Speaker 1: no clue what to do here. So the question I
- 26:28Speaker 1: want to ask is is you've walked through these stages.
- 26:30Speaker 1: How has the show evolved now that you are hosting it?
- 26:34Speaker 1: You have seen the ins and out, you've interacted with
- 26:35Speaker 1: the fans. How's the show evolved since you started it
- 26:38Speaker 1: and now that you're hosting it? Oh my gosh. And
- 26:42Speaker 1: I've seen it evolved in crazy, crazy ways, whether that's
- 26:45Speaker 1: talking about biracial relationships, mental health, suicide, eating disorders, putting
- 26:53Speaker 1: more people of color, on the show talking more about
- 26:56Speaker 1: like women empowerment, Like so many things have changed on
- 27:00Speaker 1: the show since I was on it. And it's really
- 27:04Speaker 1: crazy because you do, like obviously actors and actresses like
- 27:07Speaker 1: they work towards roles. We don't work towards this role.
- 27:11Speaker 1: We get thrown into it overnight, don't know what the
- 27:14Speaker 1: heck TV is about, editing, getting miked up like we
- 27:18Speaker 1: don't know anything, we're so naive, and then we kind
- 27:19Speaker 1: of get chewed up and spit out and it's such
- 27:22Speaker 1: a weird world to navigate. Um, and I did. I've
- 27:25Speaker 1: gone through phases with the show where I you know,
- 27:27Speaker 1: didn't support it or I didn't know what I wanted
- 27:29Speaker 1: to do with it, or if I wanted to remove myself.
- 27:32Speaker 1: And there's so many different feelings that have gone on
- 27:36Speaker 1: between myself and the show. But we're in a good
- 27:38Speaker 1: place now. But I will say, just thinking about even
- 27:41Speaker 1: like the slut shaming and the the just shame I
- 27:46Speaker 1: felt being intimate with more than one person on the
- 27:48Speaker 1: show and as a woman, and now we're celebrating that almost.
- 27:53Speaker 1: You know, I don't know how it's gonna go for Clayton.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm here if he needs to shot through anything. But
- 27:58Speaker 1: you know, Hannah Brown was celebrated are having sex four
- 28:00Speaker 1: times in a windmill, and some people were like, does
- 28:04Speaker 1: that bother you that, like you didn't get that. I'm like, no,
- 28:06Speaker 1: If I opened up any doors for that to be
- 28:08Speaker 1: talked about and and celebrated, I'm so happy. But I
- 28:12Speaker 1: mean that show is evolved in in so many important ways,
- 28:16Speaker 1: whether like I said, just putting you know, even just shape,
- 28:20Speaker 1: sizes and colors being like represented on the show. And
- 28:25Speaker 1: I love that they're talking about mental health that was
- 28:27Speaker 1: never you know, like we never talked about that on
- 28:29Speaker 1: the show before, not to this extent anyways, So I'm
- 28:33Speaker 1: really proud to be a part of it and where
- 28:34Speaker 1: it's at right now, before you leave, we have to
- 28:38Speaker 1: talk a little wedding planning to let's do with speed
- 28:41Speaker 1: Round helped me. Okay, all right, so speed Round? Who
- 28:47Speaker 1: would choreograph your first dance from Dancing with the Stars
- 28:51Speaker 1: if you had to pick one person? Ardum Chick Vincent. Okay,
- 28:54Speaker 1: that's kind of obvious. Will your first dance be elaborate
- 28:58Speaker 1: like that? I kind of want it to, Like that
- 29:02Speaker 1: would be so me, like, just do this grand waltz?
- 29:07Speaker 1: I actually, do I really want to do that? Yeah? Cool? No,
- 29:12Speaker 1: I think that's awesome. I love this. What's the one
- 29:16Speaker 1: thing that you and Jason disagree on when it comes
- 29:19Speaker 1: to wedding? I think I know what it is? Is
- 29:21Speaker 1: it cost you budget? For sure? Mr Finance over there? God? Okay,
- 29:31Speaker 1: do you see the wedding being in two or three? Okay? Ben?
- 29:39Speaker 1: Do you have any what would be your ideal dinner
- 29:43Speaker 1: for all the guests? Oh? My gosh, that's actually something
- 29:47Speaker 1: I'm panicking about because, like, You've got my mom who's
- 29:50Speaker 1: definitely allergic to garlic, my stepdad's allergic to shellfish. I'm like,
- 29:55Speaker 1: it's everybody's got something with food, and I'm like, I
- 29:58Speaker 1: don't know what to do. And that's rests me out.
- 30:00Speaker 1: The food stresses me out. Okay, final question for you.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Take wine out of the consideration. It cannot be used here.
- 30:08Speaker 1: What is your cocktail of choice wedding day and wedding night?
- 30:14Speaker 1: Like a French seventy? What what you don't have a
- 30:19Speaker 1: French seventy is? Oh it's so good. Oh, it's so
- 30:24Speaker 1: like European. Okay, So it's um champagne with a little
- 30:28Speaker 1: bit of gin and um. I better look this up
- 30:33Speaker 1: lion juice and lemon lemons. I'm looking this up French.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I've never heard of it, Caitlin, you are educating lemon juice.
- 30:43Speaker 1: That's okay, it's um. French seventy five is a cocktail
- 30:46Speaker 1: made from gin, champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. It's also
- 30:50Speaker 1: called the seven five cocktail. Um. Yeah, it dates to
- 30:53Speaker 1: World War One bar in Paris, a bar in Paris.
- 30:58Speaker 1: It's very like, it's super chic. Hey, that kind of
- 31:02Speaker 1: goes with your gasby theme because I know that you
- 31:04Speaker 1: guys are still kind of stuck on that. I'm so
- 31:07Speaker 1: stuck on it, like and I love, like just nice champagne.
- 31:10Speaker 1: There you go. Come. We could talk to you for hours.
- 31:13Speaker 1: We could. We could Caitlin again. Before you go, you
- 31:18Speaker 1: just finish your tour of Off the Vine Um for
- 31:21Speaker 1: your Off Divine podcast. It was wildly successful. Congratulations on that. Um.
- 31:26Speaker 1: We will be able to watch you. If you're a
- 31:28Speaker 1: fan of Caitlin or a fan of anything that Caitlin does,
- 31:31Speaker 1: you can go and visit online it Dance with the
- 31:34Speaker 1: Stars dot com. It's actually DWTS Tour dot com. You

- 31:45Speaker 1: Anything to add that we've missed about the tour. Um,
- 31:51Speaker 1: It's just it's gonna be so much fun. I'm like,
- 31:53Speaker 1: and I want everybody to follow along on Instagram because
- 31:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna be living that tour bus life and there's
- 31:57Speaker 1: gonna be some shenanigans that go down and I'm like
- 32:00Speaker 1: a frankster and people are gonna be annoyed with me.
- 32:02Speaker 1: But I do want to say before I go, actually,
- 32:04Speaker 1: look beautiful and I'm so happy for you and I
- 32:06Speaker 1: just can't wait to meet this baby. Um, and congrats
- 32:10Speaker 1: on the um the lounge. Why am I blanking on
- 32:13Speaker 1: the name stars? But we need to get sprained and
- 32:17Speaker 1: sparrows there and we've been in a little bit in
- 32:19Speaker 1: touch with their person there, but we gotta get in
- 32:21Speaker 1: touch with more. So Okay, I am so down. And
- 32:24Speaker 1: then congratulations. Tell Jess I say how she looked absolutely
- 32:28Speaker 1: stunning on your wedding day and it was just I'm
- 32:30Speaker 1: so sad I couldn't be there. Hey, I totally get it. Um,
- 32:34Speaker 1: thank you for that. What the wedding day, I will
- 32:36Speaker 1: tell you, Caitlin, Uh is everything I hoped it would be.
- 32:42Speaker 1: It's incredible, it's fun. Soak it in, enjoy it. Uh.
- 32:46Speaker 1: And finally, if you need any tour bus tips, I
- 32:48Speaker 1: just got off the tour bus last year for the um. Well,
- 32:55Speaker 1: don't take a poop on the on the bus. Um
- 32:57Speaker 1: that ruins everything for everybody. Um and uh and get
- 33:02Speaker 1: really used to taking like dreamamine because trying to sleep
- 33:05Speaker 1: while you're driving down the road is not as easy
- 33:08Speaker 1: as you would think. Oh see, I thought it would
- 33:11Speaker 1: be like soothing. No, no, no, just wait till you
- 33:13Speaker 1: hit a little bump and you bounced three inches off
- 33:16Speaker 1: your bed. It ain't great, Galen, but hey, it's a blast.
- 33:19Speaker 1: It's so much fun. I did it with Ezra Sosa,
- 33:24Speaker 1: who was on Dancing with the Stars this year. Uh. Yeah,
- 33:29Speaker 1: so he every night Caitlin would do a little dance
- 33:31Speaker 1: number for us um in the like uh living room
- 33:35Speaker 1: of the bus when we got off the and it
- 33:37Speaker 1: was like, those memories are the best, So have fun.
- 33:40Speaker 1: We love you, Caitlin, keep up the good work. Talk
- 33:43Speaker 1: to you, love you, bye for having me, Bye bye.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Followed the Benn and Ashley I almost famous podcast on
