Latest / Age Defiantly with Mark Young / The Four Pillars Behind a Cancer Recovery With Rob René
Transcript
- 0:00This cancer journey has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my entire life. It was a simple little mole on my ankle. I want to tell people, if you do have moles in your body, just go check. And that's one thing I didn't do, and I regret that I didn't do that, because I let mine fester for so long that it grew into melanoma, and then a bad stage of melanoma. Molecular hydrogen, your exodus supplement, prayer, fasting, scripture, spiritual healing, sleep.
- 0:29stress reduction, relationships, and the community that you built around you. Tell us what you did, and then tell us what would you do differently or better that you would recommend to somebody else. Red light therapy became a big part of what I was doing. And then...
- 0:47We are back today on Age Defiantly, and I am joined by a friend of mine by the name of Rob Rene. And for those of you who've been watching the show for a while, you actually know that Rob has been with us before. And we wanted to bring him back because his journey has continued. It's gotten more interesting over time. And like anybody who's paying attention to themselves, their lives, their health, and anything to do with bettering themselves throughout this journey we all get...
- 1:17He's just gotten cooler over time. So I want to reintroduce you to my friend Rob René. And the last time Rob was on this show, we talked about fatigue, about hitting rock bottom, about building a company called Exodus Strong from a place of desperation and faith.
- 1:37And it was all about the seven biblical ingredients and molecular hydrogen and what happens when you stop accepting exhaustion as your baseline. And this was all started from Rob's personal journey with cancer. Well, a lot's happened since then. Rob's been walking through something much harder than fatigue, and that's that cancer
- 1:57cancer journey I just mentioned. It's tested everything he built, everything he believes, and everything he thought about the body's own capacity to heal. And he's doing better. Not because the path was easy, but because he kept walking it the way
- 2:15way that we encourage you to every single day. He's also been writing a new book that I want to hear all about, and today he's going to tell us what's in it. This is not the same conversation we had last time. This one's going deeper. So Rob, welcome to the show.
- 2:31Hey, I'm so excited to be here. Just great to see you again. You as well. It was great running into you recently when we saw you in Dallas, Texas at the Changing Life Destiny Conference. That was exciting. That was. That was an amazing event. Yeah, you're doing so well here, buddy. And I noticed your Exodus Strong t-shirt.
- 2:51There you go. Yes. Not just not just repping your good work, but the good work. I love it. Amen. Amen. That's right. That's right. That's why I literally believe I'm here on this earth to help people with their health and their faith through their health. So if I can help them with their health, great. Right. But ultimately, I want to I want to help people with their faith. So I love that because, yes, I always say that, like, I want to live a long life, but I want to live a healthy life. But you can't scare me with eternity. Right. Right.
- 3:19That's right. That's right. Exactly. So if I do expire, then guess what? I'm OK, because I got an upgrade. You're not wrong.
- 3:29You're not wrong. And I love that attitude. Hey, Rob, catch me up. Like I kind of gave this bit of a segue, you know, introduction as to where you've been since the last time we spoke. But I know when I ran into you in person, you, I mean, and I hate to say that when, when we saw each other in person, we didn't get a lot of time to talk because, as you know, at a conference like that, I'm running a hundred miles an hour and,
- 3:53can barely keep up with everything. Exactly. So, yeah, I mean, we touched base for a minute and talked with your brother, but for me, but also the audience, tell us what's been going on in your life since. Because since then, I've only seen you on social media, and I want the story that you wanted to tell me in person, but we never got a chance to.
- 4:12Yeah, no problem. It's been a crazy last year and a half with this journey, right? This cancer journey has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my entire life. So I'm not going to say it's been enjoyable.
- 4:28This last year and a half. But my gosh, the Lord is good. And he's just taught me so many things. And that's what I'm doing with Exodus Strong and with my life now is literally everything that he's teaching me. It's like I'm like...
- 4:45Lord, what do you want me to do with this? And so I literally created a system called The Light Code that is the book that you mentioned. It's all about the way that I'm using these resources that he's teaching me about on how to heal. And how does the body work? And how does the body heal? And I've done a deep dive on that, right?
- 5:09the last year and a half, and it's helped me tremendously through my journey. And so I'm just like, hey, the only thing I can do, I feel really responsible to now go help other people with the things that he's taught me. And that's it's been so the journey has been very, very tough.
- 5:27But like you mentioned, I am doing well. I am winning this battle. So it's so exciting for me to see every time I get tests done and the results, they're coming back. And I'm literally winning this battle. I've changed my body from being a producer of bad cells into my body and a replicator of bad cells into a fighter of those. And so they are not replicating. They are not spreading. And they are shrinking up.
- 5:54Right. So it's just a super exciting part. And now that I've learned how to do that and it's been, you know, I've done literally everything. Right. I do nutrition. We can talk about all the all the things related to my health. But at the end of the day, it's been pretty exciting that I've been able to transition my body to do that. And it's like, OK, now I've learned so much on how to do that. I'm the only thing I can do is like, Lord, I'm.
- 6:21what do you want me to do? And he's like, go help, help other people. Right. And so that's, that's what I'm trying to do. Hey Rob, I want to, I want to clear me up here. Did I ask you for a contributing chapter in the book that we'll be bringing out soon? Um,
- 6:37No, I don't remember if I did. And I want to invite you to that and we'll have somebody get in contact with you. But one of the projects that I've been working on for quite a while and then hopefully starts to materialize here quickly is a series of books actually called Stories of Hope. What we've done with it is each chapter is actually a autobiographical ghostwriting.
- 7:01of a individual journey. So a chapter about Rob René's journey, but we've got three different books in progress right now. One of them is about cancer and the journey through cancer, but every single...
- 7:17Every single story is somebody's journey with cancer, but it is cancer through non-traditional eyes. And it is 100% people that are using non-conventional treatments and providing hope because, unfortunately, my belief is that standard of care type treatment for most diseases is just a slower death. It's not, in most cases, a cure whatsoever. And the other thing is I have a personal belief that disease...
- 7:47management is a better way of living life than disease eradication. Yeah. Yeah. So that's one book is on cancer. One is on ALS and one is on addiction recovery. All of them counterintuitive. But I would love to, I'll introduce you to the person who's taking care of that project for me, because I would love to have your story told in that book as well, because you, you, you model, um,
- 8:12what that book would be about. And that is taking control of your own health and putting it into your hands and trusting those things. I want to take us real quick because I want you to talk about what your cancer journey has been like and not from a woe is me standpoint, because I know that's not you. So I don't want it to be the doom and gloom of cancer. I want to respectfully say, I want it to be your journey of how you're kicking its ass right now, Rob. Like,
- 8:41I love that. And then I want to move from there and get into this conversation about integration. Start with your story. Like what type of cancer? What's this diagnosis? What was that emotional journey for you, first of all? Because obviously it is. Yeah, it's been so incredibly tough because it was like it was a simple, simple little mole on my ankle. I mean, it's like.
- 9:03Okay, so I have this mole on my ankle, and the mole became, you know, I ignored it for way too long, right? And so it's one thing, you know, I want to tell people, if you do have moles in your body, go to the dermatologist and get checked and get them removed. If you have some that look like they're not supposed to be there, you know, your dermatologist will know what to do. But just go check.
- 9:24And that's one thing I didn't do, and I regret that I didn't do that because I let mine foster for fester for so long that it grew into melanoma and then a bad stage of melanoma. So by the time I went and got my mole checked, it had already been into my lymphatic system and so grew into melanoma and then got into my lymphatic system. So I and I had a heart condition.
- 9:54When I got diagnosed, they're like, okay, we need to get rid of that. We need to get rid of the spot on my ankle. But then I went to actually go get the surgery done, and they did an EKG, and they're like, hold it. Your heart had a condition called bradycardia for decades.
- 10:16And my heart was beating too slow. And they're like, we can't do an operation with your heart like that. So I have two crazy stories in one, right? My heart story is an amazing heart story. But I honestly believe, Mark, that the Lord gave me cancer to save my life. And I know that's a really crazy, crazy thing to say, but it's related to my heart. So...
- 10:45I bet you have not gotten the cancer, you wouldn't have known about the heart condition. I knew I had a heart problem, but I was so stubborn that about nine months before my diagnosis, I went to just get my blood test done. And I was like, I'm just going to be responsible and check my blood. And I went to an all-natural health doctor, because I was really into all-natural health, and I went to them, and they took my pulse, and the nurse was like, oh my gosh, I think
- 11:14Things broken. Right. She gets another one, comes and takes my pulse again. She's like, what the heck? And so she does a markup on me and she's like, there's something wrong. And the doctor comes in to check my heart and he's like, your heart is really slow. And I'm like, yeah, I think it's been like that for a long time, but didn't even really think about it. And they did an EKG on me like, oh, you have an abnormal EKG. You need to go see a cardiologist. So to make a very, very long story short.
- 11:43I ended up seeing a cardiologist and went through the whole, all the tests, you know, the stress test and the, they did a sonogram and all these different things on my heart. And at the end of the day, they're like, you need a pacemaker. And I'm like...
- 12:01pacemaker, I'm 58 years old. I was like, come on, give me a break. I don't want to, or 57 at the time. I was like, I'm too young for a pacemaker. I'm in my mind. I'm just so stubborn, right? And I'm like, I'm going to go do this naturally. So I spent thousands of dollars and lots of different all natural solutions to try to fix my heart. I'm like, I'm just going to be, I'm going to fix it myself. And then I get this diagnosis of cancer and they like,
- 12:29the first thing I met with was a holistic practitioner. And he's like, well, what's your mouth like? I'm like, what?
- 12:35I've got silver amalgams in my mouth. I've got root canals in my mouth. And he's like, first thing you're going to do, you're going to go fix that. Right. And I didn't I didn't have any clue about that. So that's another really important thing that people need to understand is how important. I want to connect that dot for people, because I actually had the exact same issue, Rob. And I had amalgams in my teeth that I just had removed the last year.
- 13:02Oh, awesome. That I had had since I was 14, 15 years old or something. So 30 some years in my mouth. Right. And I could never figure out why I couldn't chelate mercury.
- 13:14And it didn't matter what I did, I had mercury toxicity. Like, it was going to continue to be that way. And what people don't realize is mercury toxicity ends up plugging other pathways. For instance, selenium and other types of minerals that need to exist in your body. And they end up causing thyroid dysfunction. And that thyroid dysfunction will ultimately affect immune function.
- 13:42So you end up suppressing immune function by stuff like that. And it's like some of the some of the most obvious and say obvious, maybe it's not obvious, but some of the simplest things or the the, you know, I don't even know what is it simple to have an amalgam? I don't know. But some of the not obvious things are the simplest things to correct. Right. If you actually know about them. But most people just don't know that stuff. I mean, how many years did I walk around with amalgams and worked in the health field?
- 14:10Right. And I had no, I had no clue. Right. So I'm just like, it sounds like you had a great practitioner though.
- 14:16Yeah, I've been very, very blessed with the people that have been helping me through this journey, right? Because they're very, very smart, and they helped me navigate this entire process. So the heart story, so I get it in my lymphatic system, and I could see my oncologist. I went to an oncologist here in Texas who is an expert in melanoma, so he was really, really strong. But he is still...
- 14:41on the standard of care side of the world, right? So I was meeting with a holistic practitioner who was helping me with a lot of things and I was very aggressive on my treatments there, but I did go see the standard of care. I wanted to see what they were going to tell me, right? I met with one oncologist that was just, it was the most ridiculous meeting I've ever had. I was like, are you kidding me? I have cancer and that's the way he's like, well, let me look up
- 15:10this and he was like literally looking up how to how to treat me and I was like no you know if you're not an expert in this I don't want it I don't want you touching me right and so anyway I went and met this expert and he was great but at the same point he's like okay it's in your lymphatic system we may need to do surgery on that so I need you to go see a cardiologist
- 15:31Oh God, guess what the third cardiologist tells me I need to do. You need a pacemaker. I need a pacemaker. And so I'm like, finally said, okay, I can't afford it. I don't have insurance, but after the third one, I'm like, okay, if,
- 15:46Since this thing may kill me, I need to go get this fixed. So I did decide to go get a pacemaker. And the crazy thing about it is I had what's called a bradycardia with junctional rhythm. So my first heartbeat wasn't working. It was a junctional rhythm happening. So my backup was pumping my heart for decades.
- 16:09And what was happening is that was failing and I didn't know it. So literally the two weeks before my surgery, I almost passed out sitting on the couch. I was like, what the heck? I mean, what's going on? And then on my drive to the surgery, I almost passed out on the drive. It's going 75, 80 miles an hour down a Texas freeway. And, and I almost passed out. I'm just almost just blanked out. I was like, what is going on? And, um,
- 16:36I get to the actual surgical center and the nurse, you know, gets me all set up and she takes my pulse. She's like, what the heck? She goes, your heart is in, it's like in the 27 beats per minute. And she's like, how are you walking around? How are you standing? I'm almost like, I don't know. I guess that's why I'm here. Right. You know, she's like, I almost pushed you down on the ground, started pumping your chest because that's not normal. You shouldn't, you shouldn't be functioning like you are. And I always just thought that was weird. Um,
- 17:06But they put in, again, I'm trying to make this really short. It's going a lot longer. But they put me in the surgery room. I have heart specialists around. My heart entirely fails. So as I'm on the operating table, my backup failed. And the bottom chamber of my heart was only one that was beating my heart at the time, I believe. And that failed. So literally, my heart was done. It was gone.
- 17:35And they realized it while I was there and were able to get a temporary pacemaker into my heart to keep it going while they were trying to figure out what was going on. And then realized that my heart had literally failed, but the pacemaker actually was helping it pump.
- 17:55And so they installed the pacemaker that they were originally going to do. And my heart was working. And then they turned it down to see if my heart would work on its own. And it wouldn't. So literally, I would not be here today if I wasn't, if the Lord hadn't,
- 18:16literally orchestrated me in the OR when your heart stopped. If I, if that would have happened anywhere in the world, I wouldn't be here today. I mean, I could have been, yeah. Cause my heart was literally, even if they would have tried to electronically, you know, pump my heart, it wouldn't have mattered. Cause there's no, there was no signal to move. So anyway, I was like, after that experience, I was just on my knees. I'm like, Oh my gosh, Lord. It's like,
- 18:43I'm here for you now. It's like, I mean, I always had been, but I hadn't. And that's not the same right now. It's just like, I'm on, I know I'm on this. He orchestrated that event and I'm like, okay, I'm here. No, everything in my life doesn't matter anymore. Rob, I want you to, I want you to start unpacking it. And thank you for that entire journey. Cause I mean, what a crazy story to get you where you are. And again, I love that cancer saved your life because if it,
- 19:11It's that three times you were turning down a pacemaker until you finally said yes, and the third visit is the one where you ended up really- He sent me three helpers, and I was so stubborn, I was going to try to do it myself, right? I'm like, no, I know all this stuff myself. Clearly, there's purpose in why you're here. So I want to pivot us just a little bit because I want you to walk through. We talk about the actual protocols that you used.
- 19:37in your cancer journey specifically. So we've got the heart under control, everything's good. You've started using somewhat non-conventional treatments in your own cancer journey, things like molecular hydrogen, things like the Exodus system that you developed with biblical ingredients. And I want you to kind of unpack what that is. And I know we talked about that before, but there's also some conversation about the integration,
- 20:07between prayer and fasting and the spiritual practices that you built into your own protocol. And, you know, if you're familiar with metabolic terrain and how in the terrain protocols that are talked about through metabolic regen and the work of Dr. Nation Winters and stuff like that, there's so much to be said for...
- 20:32integrative medicine, that this is not about just kill the cells that are doing the damage. It's about fixing the spirit and fixing the emotions and dealing with the trauma and dealing with nutrition and talking about grounding and energy and light and all of these things. And the problem is, is I'll be honest and tell you that, you know, if I had cancer today and praise God, I don't, but should I find myself in that position where
- 21:00my approach to it would be so dramatically different than it would have been 10 years ago. And I've actually watched this happen because my own father actually still, actually, although it's virtually undetectable, still has prostate cancer.
- 21:16And he's managed his prostate cancer using completely holistic treatments for six years, seven years, something like that. And it's like literally nothing about his life has changed. And it's funny to watch. That's a funny, probably not funny in a humorous way, but funny in a curious way.
- 21:36that when people receive a diagnosis, they react one way or another. Like, he received a cancer diagnosis. And what's funny about it is, you get funny in a curious way, is that the people around him heard it as, this is an awful, terrible thing. To him, it was like, how could another thing on my to-do list?
- 22:02because to him it was like, okay, I've got to deal with this. And I've watched the same way, by the way. He actually had an AFib episode probably six months ago or so. And the first time he's ever had one, he went into AFib.
- 22:19ended up driving himself to the hospital, which is, you know, kind of funny because that's who he is. Like, he had the AFib attack in the morning, but he had meetings to attend, and he went and attended his meetings, and all day his heart's going nuts, but he promised my aunt he would go with her to look at a car, so he went to look at the car and then left the dealership to drive to the emergency room.
- 22:42I know, so stupid. That's amazing. But he had the AFib attack, and again, it was, okay, well, another thing on the to-do list. And, I mean, as of right now, it's funny because they put him on blood pressure medications, and they have gone through all this stuff, and he and I both have close friends that are cardiologists that gave advice and whatnot. And it's like, he's like, no, I need to take care of this. He's like, I need to lose some weight. I need to, you know...
- 23:09I mean, he's always in great shape physically in terms of exercise, but he's like, I need to eat better. I need to take care of this. I need to take care of this. And in the last six months, he's probably dropped 20 pounds. He has stopped snoring. Sleep has improved, all this stuff. And he texted me the other day, and he says, oh, I'm just letting you know he was getting lightheaded. He actually races streetcars as a hobby. Yeah.
- 23:35And he texted me because he had gotten lightheaded while he was in the car. That was the first time it had ever happened. And then he texted me the other morning and was like, I think I figured it out. And I said, what's that? And he says, well, they put him on blood pressure medications. They had put him on multiple things because they're like, well, you're going to live on these. And he's like, I will for a minute just to make sure everything's fine.
- 23:59But diet, exercise, lifestyle changes adapted his supplement stack into something that actually is better for that. And then he started using a Zona Plus. If you're familiar with that, it's an isometric hand grip device that actually helps condition the cardiovascular system.
- 24:21So like all of these things. And he's like, I realized why I was lightheaded. And he's like, I took my blood pressure. And I forget what he said the numbers were, but he took his blood pressure the other morning and it was like 105 over 70 something. And he's like, I'm over medicated. Like, I don't read the blood pressure meds anymore. And I didn't pay attention to it.
- 24:41because he's fixed it. Like, it's under control. There's not an issue. But your journey has taken you into some very specific types of treatment. I want you to walk us through the protocol that you've used to, I'm going to use the word, manage your cancer. Sure.
- 24:58Because it's not about eradicating, it's about managing. It's about learning how to live life now. And sometimes that leads to eradication of the disease, and other times it just leads to how do I cohabitate with it so that it doesn't grow more aggressive. So molecular hydrogen, your exodus supplement, prayer, fasting, scripture, spiritual healing, sleep, stress reduction, relationships...
- 25:26And the community that you built around you. I want you to tell somebody your story as to what you would do. What would you do? Tell us what you did. And then tell us what would you do differently or better that you would recommend to somebody else.
- 25:43Yeah, so I was very blessed by finding the right people. And I think the Lord was really good to me. He just led me to the right people at the right time. You know, I was in the right place, like the heart journey. So when I first was looking at how to help with my cancer journey, I literally got introduced to Naysha Winters and her book. And I got introduced to Jane McClelland and her book, How to Starve Cancer.
- 26:11And so I really went on an aggressive approach to just natural health. Right. My change, my end up, my diet. That was the first thing I did was like, OK, I learned that how cancer is fed. Like, OK, if it's fed on that, then I'm I'm not getting any sugar. Like I had literally in the last year and a half, I got zero refined sugar in this body. Right. And then I went through an amazing journey of how what learning about the whole metabolic.
- 26:41But system and how do you with the nation's work, right? How do you look at that, your metabolic terrain and how do you enhance it to change it from the the cancer producing right system to a fighter?
- 26:56And it's been a long journey, but I believe I did it. And it was started off with just the basic, right? But the amalgam removal was a big piece of that. And I think the root canals, just not making sure that there was no disease being able to connect through my body, was very, very important. So I started off with those. And then obviously, I looked at supplementation and off-label drugs.
- 27:22And so I did a number of those. Right. And so I followed the the the holistic protocol that people are doing with with a number of those drugs. I don't know if you want to mention them on your show or not, but I probably be one way or another.
- 27:39Okay, I did take ivermectin, benenzol, and a number of other off-label drugs as I was figuring out what to do. And then I did go to the oncologist, like I mentioned, with the standard of care and just to determine what that standard of care was. And the good news for standard of care for melanoma, it was not.
- 28:04the things that I knew I wouldn't do. I knew I would not do, you know, chemo or radiation. That's just me, right? I was not going to do those. But it was immunotherapy is the specific way to treat melanoma. And I'm like, as I researched the immunotherapy, I'm like, you know, I actually, when the big pandemic hit, I actually did some monoclonal antibodies to help me through that journey. So I'm like, okay, that's really basically the same thing, similar.
- 28:34So I'm like, OK, I don't mind doing that. And that was great. That really helped me help my body. So I was doing a lot of different things. But the amazing thing is what I was training on is I ended up learning about light therapy, right? How God created light, right? And it's like it's so important. Vitamin D is very important. But the way that your mitochondria work, it's incredible that you can have red light
- 29:04therapy onto the onto your body and it can actually help the mitochondria do what it's supposed to do right and i was like oh so light therapy is very very important and then i did a lot of research on light therapy and cancer is like because some people said oh that's going to produce it and it's going to make it more and in a petri dish it can but in the human body they haven't seen that evidence of that so red light therapy became a big part of what i was doing and then um
- 29:31I ended up doing the nutrition component, which was very important. And that was where my obviously the diet came in. But then my supplementation came in and molecular hydrogen was really important. And that's the Exodus supplement that we have. It's got those seven biblical ingredients, which give me nutrients I need. But then it's got this molecular hydrogen.
- 29:53hydrogen blend and the cooling about molecular hydrogen is acts as a master antioxidant so it goes in and finds the the you know bad components in your blood they call it sentient cells or zombie cells if you want to be more particular and it attaches to them and gets rid of those and then it helps the mitochondria do what it's supposed to do better so
- 30:16both from the inside of my body, my bloodstream, I'm helping it with the molecular hydrogen. And then from the outside, the light in, I'm helping my myocondus. So it's all about that metabolic health of the body.
- 30:31And then the fourth pillar of my my solution, the thing that I've learned is my faith pillar. It's like the mind is so God made this body so incredibly complex and cool that your mind can control your body.
- 30:48Physically. And I thought that was amazing. So I literally have a protocol that I every single day I declare using my mouth, the just the
- 31:04the prayer, the intention of what I want. And I do a prayer and I read Bible verses specific to my issue. And so it's been incredible because once you use your eyes to read it, your ears to hear yourself say it, your mouth to declare it, that you're using all these senses that God gave you to help you with your health. And so that's my faith pillar. I love that. There's three things I want to say to that. And I'm going to say them in the order I'd.
- 31:32where I want to leave them off. First one is, do you know Tyler LeBaron? Yes, yes. I was gonna make sure you met him if you didn't know him already, but his work in molecular hydrogen is incredible.
- 31:45The second thing I want to say is you mentioned immunotherapy, and I'm thrilled to see that immunotherapy is actually getting a front row seat in cancer treatment right now. And I've seen that across multiple, even standard of care. They are actually standard of care.
- 32:07giving immunotherapies prior to, you know, the cut burn poison methodology. And but but the thing is, is like if immunotherapies the way that they're actually introducing them to patients today, I believe that it's a gateway to all of these other things that you're talking about, because the philosophy behind immunotherapy is we don't need to fight the cancer. We just need to support the body so that the body can fight the cancer.
- 32:33Like let the body do the fighting the way that it knows how to do the fighting because it's been doing the fighting since before you were even born.
- 32:40let's just empower it to do what it's doing by amping that up. And some of those immunotherapies are IV level vitamin C. Some of them are, you know, obviously, as you're talking about fenvenazole and ivermectin, there's so many ways that we can bolster the immune system. I've seen a lot of, if you know Nayan Patel, he owns Aura Wellness, topical glutathione, multiple different types of ways to boost detox and to strengthen the immune system.
- 33:09But the third thing you said, which is where I want to kind of park us there and finish up in that direction, because I think it's so important. And I'm sure you're familiar with PNI, which is psychoneuroimmunology.
- 33:22And P&I, of course, is the study of, you know, I say it's by definition, it says your cells are eavesdropping. That is, everything that goes on in your body, this idea that your mind actually has the ability to control physiology is a thing. And too many people speak death. And that speaking death is too pervasive. Yeah.
- 33:46in our culture, because there is almost this daredevil kind of mindset, in my opinion, right? It's the people who try to not sleep much because it's, you know, I'm so cool. I can survive on three hours sleep. I'm like, that's not cool. You're crushing your own immune system. But...
- 34:03But nevertheless, this psychoneuroimmunology to me, while I scientifically agree with it and I understand the benefits of positivity on physiology and vibration state, and all of these things that from a spiritual perspective for decades, I would have called woo-woo science,
- 34:27I've recanted on my beliefs that it's woo-woo science, because now I'm like, no, this is exactly science. Like, this whole idea that existence itself is light and vibration is not woo-woo. I mean, this is quantum. The way he designed this incredible temple, right? Absolutely. Like, this is quantum-level energy that we don't even understand yet.
- 34:55But I want you to correlate those two things for me when I say psychoneuroimmunology and the power of positivity and speaking healing into your body and the spiritual practices of prayer. And I don't want to say fasting because...
- 35:15Fasting is a different type of activation because that also includes metabolic changes. But let's say fasting and meditation, maybe, or prayer and meditation.
- 35:30How do you correlate those two things? And do you see the connection between them as as a spiritual thing, as a physiological thing, as a psychological, emotional thing? Yeah, that's a fantastic question. And I don't know enough about the science to give you a scientific answer.
- 35:49I'm going to give you a faith based answer because that's where it comes from for me. Right. It's like as I was researching the whole mind, body, spirit connection, I also thought it was woo woo. Right. I'm like, come on, that that just doesn't make any sense to me. And as I was doing frequency research as well, I was like, that doesn't make sense to me. But then I researched the human body. It's like God made this.
- 36:08We are electric, right? We're made up of 60 to 70% water. And then you start looking at the scientific evidence of how your mind literally can make a physical difference in the body. And then you read the Bible, and it's like, there's power in the tongue, right? And then you look at the Bible, and it's like how he breathed his life into us through his breath. And you start realizing that this temple he gave us is so incredibly complex, right?
- 36:38that scientists can still not figure it out. Like the whole quantum realm is still unknown, right, of how do you measure it? They know it exists. They can scientifically prove that it exists. They just don't know how to measure it. And so the whole – this faith component to my light code system and just to people's health I think is so important because if you can –
- 37:01I don't, to me, I don't care whether it's science that's helping me. I don't care if it's the Lord helping me. I just want to be helped, right? So it's like, I'm going to give it my intentions and my positive intentions. I'm going to say these prayers out loud. And I pray that the Lord will just give me the Jehovah Rapha touch and heal me instantly. That would be great, right? But if it's not my time, I understand. That's okay. But I'm going to ask myself.
- 37:28Right. And I believe that everybody should do that. So you can't it can't hurt for you to ask. So to say those prayers, speak the word over your body. And when you do speak the word over your body, it's really, really, really important. And so it does it does make physiological changes to to your body. So it's just it.
- 37:47to me, I don't care whether that's science. I don't care whether that's spiritual. I just know that it works. And, uh, and so I just want to help people understand that. It's like, Hey, this, this is incredible. I'm not a scientist, right? I'm not a, I'm not a doctor. I can't give you the, and I'm not a theologian like you are, right? I don't understand the, all the, the, the theory behind all of these. I've read them and I've researched them and I understand them, but,
- 38:14man, I know that it's important. And so that's what's so fun about my my light code system where I start off with light therapy and then I've got a frequency therapy component to my system and then the the fuel, which is the hydrogen and just what you put into the body and then the faith component. Those four pillars are literally the light code system. That's the book is called light code that's that's coming out soon and.
- 38:40that is, I believe, going to help a lot of people because it's just literally my journey. It's like, hey, I didn't know anything about any of these things, but these are the things the Lord has taught me through my health journey. And I was like, oh, my gosh, it was helping me. It's going to help other people. And then after this heart journey, I'm like, and me winning the battle of this. I'm just like, OK, Lord, I'm yours. What do you want me to do? And he just like, use your time, talent and treasure to help my kingdom.
- 39:08And help my people in the kingdom. Right. And so I want to help people. Right. As part of my every every product I sell, I have a prayer guide that goes with it because I want you to read that out loud. I want you to declare your health over yourself and I want you to use your mouth. Right. There's power in the tongue. And it's my goal to get a million people to read the word through their health.
- 39:30And, you know, if I can if I can do that, that would be that would be wonderful. I'm praying I can just have a snowball effect on helping people. If I literally just help one. I'm great. I'm good. But I know that that one is going to help another one who's going to help another one. It's going to snowball into into a really big effect. So that's my prayer. I was recently at a strategic coach meeting and one of the first exercises that we were.
- 39:57uh, asked to participate in was we had to make a list of all of our greatest failures, which that's fun. And then, and then, then the next column is you had to make a list of your greatest breakthroughs. And, and the, the, the exercise was that whether, whether subconsciously or whether or not it's just fact-based that all of the breakthrough came after the crisis, um,
- 40:25That whatever the crisis was, it led to something else. And the whole exercise was honestly based in don't just be we talk about being grateful, not just for the big things, but for the small things. But the exercise was being grateful for the bad things.
- 40:42That it's not the, you know, I'm grateful that I have food to eat. I'm grateful I have a roof over my head. Because we tend to minimize those things because we know gratitude is good. But it's a, I'm so glad life fell apart how it did. Because had it have not been for that...
- 41:01I never would have had this breakthrough, or I never would have met these people, or I never would have understood this other side, or I never would have leaned on God the way I did. Because at the time of the crisis, that's all I could do. And these breakthroughs that we have in life are entirely different.
- 41:21birthed out of crisis for most people. And those breakthroughs are so powerful because I'll say they're the deepest form of experiential learning.
- 41:34Because this isn't textbook stuff. This isn't listen to a podcast stuff. This is a live it, breathe it, feel it. And we feel it at a cellular level. And at a cellular level, we remember it. And I think that's what's so important about experiential learning is it's not just happening in our heads. It's happening in our bodies.
- 41:56It's so incredible because you're right. I've listened to the podcast. I've read the books of people who've changed their pain into purpose. And I'm just like, wow, that's great. It's pretty awesome that they had that really bad thing happen to them. And look what they did with it. That's amazing. And I always looked at it from the outside. And now –
- 42:16I'm living it. It's like, I didn't ask for it, but like the Lord's is like, hey, okay, here you go. Boom. And that's just, I can look back at my life and it's so incredibly amazing to see all the things that he's trained me on. It literally, as a youth, I was an amazing, just don't want to brag. I was a good runner, right? I got a full ride running scholarship to Division I school. I made the U.S. junior team. I was the second best miler in the country. And then boom, I got hit by a truck.
- 42:45Right. And boom, my running career ended. And I was like, well, that sucks. Right. That was my whole goal. And then but he put me in a totally different path. And I went and learned a ton of different things during that second path. And then, boom, the pandemic hit. And I was like, oh, my gosh.
- 43:01I've learned a lot in my corporate sales position, selling enterprise software. But now it's like, I want you to learn about health. So I did a deep dive on health and found out how corrupt our health care system was. And I was like, oh, my gosh, I never knew. Right. This is amazing. So then I started down this health journey. And oh, my gosh, ever since then, it's been a boom. I get diagnosed with cancer.
- 43:24It's like, well, you know, you are a pain into purpose story, whether or not you think that's stories or not. That's that's definitely your story. I've lived with all those podcasts that I follow. I was like, wow, I'm a I'm a perfect example of turning the pain, pain into purpose. I just.
- 43:42I pray now that I can make the purpose part really, really beneficial for people. If anybody's going to do it, I have no doubt that it's you. Rob, I'm going to give you the last comment here because you've got your book Light Code coming out. Who is the ideal reader for this book, and why would a person read this? Tell me.
- 44:01Yeah, it's really people who are aging in the 30, 40 plus age group who are just like, okay, the metabolic system is slowed down. And you're like, what's going on? Why am I tired all the time, right? 60% of our workforce is tired in the afternoon. It's because they're not getting tired.
- 44:21the sun that they need, right? They're not getting the oxygen they need. They're not getting the nutrition they need because of the diet and system that's set up. And so it's like typically women over 40 are going to love this whole system because it's perfect for what their body's going through. And it helps a lot of men as well. But what happens is women buy the solution and then are like, hey, you need to use this too.
- 44:47And the men use it as well. So this light code system I've created in the book is literally called Light Code. It's going to have the light therapy, which is red light therapy. They have this incredible full length mat that you can lay on that just helps the entire body.
- 45:04And then you have frequency is the second pillar. And frequencies really help level out the frequency in the body. I'm literally sitting on a frequency device now. It's really, really, really important. And then the fuel component, getting that molecular hydrogen in the body is super important. And then the faith component, the mind-body-spirit connection thing. And so I'm super excited about that. In fact, I do have a special offer for your community if they're interested.
- 45:34ExodusStrong.com forward slash Dr. Mark. You're going to have an offer for the light code system. It's the total body reset. It's our mat and our face mask and the whole Radiant system. We give you the $300 of a component for free as part of that total body reset system. Well, thank you for that. I'm sure everybody will appreciate that.
- 46:00And he said that's exodusstrong.com slash Dr. Mark. Or if they just go to Exodus Strong and Research, they can use the coupon code Dr. Mark also? Yeah. Perfect. We'll include that as well. I appreciate that. And all of that will be available in the show notes below. So if you're interested in looking that up, we'll put the links to your socials. We'll put the links to your website as well as that coupon code in there for anybody who wants to take advantage of that.
- 46:24Rob, it has been a pleasure talking to you, of course, again, as always, and hearing where you are, because you're inspiring people who have spiraled into an area that most people tend to collapse. And instead, you've.
- 46:40came out stronger. And I think it's amazing that you're calling it Exodus Strong. And I love that name so much because obviously there's a bit of a biblical overtone to it, but just Exodus itself is the departure. And it's like, you left this journey stronger than you entered that journey. And I think that's what's amazing about what you're doing here is, you're
- 47:04your sense of inspiration, your platform is going to give additional inspiration to other people who are in a space where they do feel hopeless. And it's literally why we're writing the books, Stories of Hope. And the reason we're even working on that book that we'll involve you in is Stories of Hope, because it starts here. Right.
- 47:26That is, the hope begins at a psychological and spiritual level. And until I feel the hope of recovery, until I feel the hope of a future, none of that gets wired through my physiology. And so we're literally talking about hope from the standpoint of programming the brain and having an integrative experience into the body. Because as you said, mind, body, spirit, it's a connection.
- 47:53Rob, thank you so much for joining us today. It's been a pleasure having you. And if anybody I know is aging defiantly, it is Rob Rene, because that's about as defiant as it gets.
