Spokane’s long-lost Riverfront Park Clocktower has silenced for over a decade — until Saturday, when hundreds gathered to hear its bells ring again for the first time since 2015. Mayor Lisa Brown joined the crowd, honoring the city’s past while looking ahead, just before the chimes rang out. Built in 1902 as part of a railroad depot, the tower was later gifted a 48-bell carillon in the 1970s — a sound that faded but never vanished from memory.
