- 0:38Speaker 2: We all pretty I'm pretty pumped to be back at work.
- 0:40Speaker 2: A long weekend, but I spent the vast majority of
- 0:42Speaker 2: it drinking. Oh nah, But I did it in a
- 0:45Speaker 2: good way. I didn't a fun way. I cut it
- 0:46Speaker 2: with people that I hadn't seen for a long time.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Sure that's really good, Yeah, really good fun.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I too, had a lovely long weekend. Yeah, really really productive,
- 0:57Speaker 3: but also really enjoyable.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But I but no drinking.
- 1:01Speaker 5: You're saying reproductive as well.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Speaking of which, pack san Nah.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Just draw.
- 1:14Speaker 3: He does, and he's got that smile again.
- 1:16Speaker 4: But that's all good. That's all good. I mean, each
- 1:17Speaker 4: of their own feel your boots had.
- 1:19Speaker 5: A fantastic one weekend, fellas.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Thanks yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 5: Yeah, a few gigs and.
- 1:25Speaker 1: That giggy giggity Yeah, of course.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah, well we'll discuss the gig that we all have
- 1:31Speaker 3: in common maybe in the show Absolute Dozy.
- 1:35Speaker 1: It was yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 3: But I recall, though, Margie, that your guests had a child,
- 1:41Speaker 3: didn't They did, But that was okay, it was great.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, he slept all through the night.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I mean, they've got to be pretty bad to bother me. Yes,
- 1:52Speaker 2: you're sweet, sweet little feller. He was a little smiler,
- 1:56Speaker 2: was either smiling or moaning.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, that's pretty much kids for you, you
- 2:01Speaker 3: know what I mean, shitting their pants or being really
- 2:06Speaker 3: really cute, very cute little fellery. My wife's doing this
- 2:09Speaker 3: thing at the moment.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Where she's doing the same thing.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Like smiling or shitting herself.
- 2:15Speaker 3: No, not quite, but she's she's doing the whole baby thing.
- 2:21Speaker 3: She's not like us having babies, but she wants babies.
- 2:28Speaker 3: She give me a baby the hold because she is
- 2:31Speaker 3: one of the most maternal people you will ever meet
- 2:34Speaker 3: in your life, and she loves babies, and so she
- 2:36Speaker 3: sends the family like cute babies, right, and all.
- 2:41Speaker 5: The girls cut baby, and all.
- 2:43Speaker 3: The girls are like, all the girls are like mom
- 2:46Speaker 3: needs a baby, who's going to be first, you.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Know what I mean?
- 2:50Speaker 3: Because and they're feeling the pressure of it, of making
- 2:53Speaker 3: her a grandmother, whereas I feel no pressure whatsoever about
- 2:58Speaker 3: being a grandfather, because they do is smile or shit.
- 3:01Speaker 1: You love it once you got it. But yes, yeah, yeah,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you maternal.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Pugs, not particularly what about paternal yeah mess yeah, no different.
- 3:14Speaker 5: To be honest, I don't know. I haven't had any
- 3:19Speaker 5: urges to be.
- 3:22Speaker 1: My father.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Oh right, okay, because you had plenty of other urges.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, thanks.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I saw it of a fell about that over the
- 3:30Speaker 2: weekend Action. Here's forty seven is missus is keen to
- 3:33Speaker 2: have a kid, and he's like, I'm too old for that, right,
- 3:36Speaker 2: was like, yeah, man, tell her to beat it.
- 3:39Speaker 4: It is.
- 3:40Speaker 3: It is a really interesting thing that whole when you
- 3:43Speaker 3: have a kid, you know, because quite a few people go,
- 3:47Speaker 3: I want to establish my career and do all that
- 3:49Speaker 3: sort of stuff, and then I'll have a kid and
- 3:52Speaker 3: they're in there mid forty sort of thing or fifty
- 3:55Speaker 3: or you know, and other people like me, you.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Know, just couldn't quite be disciplined.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Could you just.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Seem to have like fifty all at once when I
- 4:07Speaker 3: was like ten, you know what I mean.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Fuck, I've only got four kids, that's right. But yeah,
- 4:15Speaker 2: but then the beauty visits. Now it's not all over,
- 4:18Speaker 2: but you know.
- 4:21Speaker 3: So well, now yeah, three of them are over. He's
- 4:23Speaker 3: doing their thing, and they've got the little one still
- 4:25Speaker 3: of course, but it's any a matter of time before
- 4:28Speaker 3: she goes all right, I'm over you, guys. She's already
- 4:32Speaker 3: talking about getting a flat, and we're like.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Well, she's already saying that she just won't leave. Yeah,
- 4:35Speaker 2: what it's like, she's over you, but you're staying. It's like, okay,
- 4:38Speaker 2: that's cool, but how are you going to pay for
- 4:40Speaker 2: se flat?
- 4:42Speaker 3: The whole Lucky Big Show week days from four on
- 4:45Speaker 3: Radio Hurarchy.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Remember they Big Show podcast.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Mate came up and make and a cousin. He's a
- 4:53Speaker 2: mate and a cousin and he came up and his
- 4:55Speaker 2: daughter's up here doing she's doing an arts degree, and
- 4:59Speaker 2: he went around to her house and they done nothing.
- 5:03Speaker 2: They done nothing about the lawn. So front and back's
- 5:05Speaker 2: just completely overgrown, over knee height and probably to do
- 5:11Speaker 2: back lawn would have been ten square meters and then
- 5:15Speaker 2: front garden probably half that size again but really tricky
- 5:20Speaker 2: to get into, like a real ball laky sort of thing.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So of course, being nineteen or whatever she is, she's
- 5:25Speaker 2: got no, there's no lawn mile, there's no, there's nothing.
- 5:29Speaker 2: He used a fork and a bread knife, what really,
- 5:36Speaker 2: and did the entire back lawn and the front garden
- 5:39Speaker 2: with a knife. He just put his headphones on, listened
- 5:41Speaker 2: to put some house music on, and then just and
- 5:44Speaker 2: just cut the lawn and did all of the wedding
- 5:47Speaker 2: with those two items.
- 5:48Speaker 5: That as fucked.
- 5:51Speaker 4: In.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Really, I would have just thrown money at that day
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm doing, and he likes doing a bit of guarden.
- 5:56Speaker 2: But yeah, literally a bread knife far out.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Yeah, my most.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Gibbo for anybody out there wondering.
- 6:02Speaker 3: My wife's dad he had the same scenario. He had
- 6:05Speaker 3: quite a big backlawn, massively overgrown, massive, and he didn't
- 6:10Speaker 3: have a lawnmar or anything like that. So he bought
- 6:12Speaker 3: a goat.
- 6:14Speaker 4: That's true.
- 6:15Speaker 3: He bought a fucking goat and when oh, that'll work,
- 6:19Speaker 3: it didn't. It didn't really work, And so then he
- 6:22Speaker 3: had to get rid of the goat and sort of
- 6:24Speaker 3: be a responsible ice at the front pugs and be
- 6:27Speaker 3: a responsible human being but I tell you what, that's
- 6:30Speaker 3: actually quite nice to put your headphones on and go
- 6:33Speaker 3: out and podd around in the garden.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I said, did she help you guys? No, I was
- 6:37Speaker 2: got atle phobia about spiders and that. I said, she
- 6:39Speaker 2: bring you a bit of water, drink of water?
- 6:41Speaker 1: Nah. So yeah, yeah, you just blame the parents.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Yeah, you just didy yourself.
- 6:47Speaker 3: We also had because we've got massive lawns and we
- 6:49Speaker 3: didn't have a lawnmarer or a weed eater, and our
- 6:52Speaker 3: lawns got to about that height too. It was just
- 6:54Speaker 3: out of control. And so my wife had had enough.
- 6:57Speaker 3: And there was a young guy.
- 7:00Speaker 1: There was a what was his name again?
- 7:02Speaker 3: Actually he wasn't a young guy's about my age, but
- 7:04Speaker 3: this is when I was in my mid or mid
- 7:06Speaker 3: to late twenties, right, And she knew he did lawns
- 7:11Speaker 3: and stuff.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Good looking fellow to.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Your lawns for you, that fellow people's lawns.
- 7:17Speaker 3: He was a good looking fellow. And she said, I've
- 7:19Speaker 3: asked him to come over and do the lawns. I
- 7:22Speaker 3: remember going, well, I mean, all of a sudden, he's
- 7:31Speaker 3: found the motivation that has avoided him for the momum.
- 7:34Speaker 3: And but I didn't, of course, because we didn't have
- 7:36Speaker 3: a We didn't have a lawnmar or a weed drimmer.
- 7:40Speaker 3: And he came around and they was so bad. He
- 7:42Speaker 3: just had to use a weed whacker because he couldn't
- 7:45Speaker 3: use his lawnmark because they were way too long. And
- 7:47Speaker 3: then it took him ages and he finished that, and
- 7:49Speaker 3: he walked up into our sort of deck there and said,
- 7:52Speaker 3: don't ever let them get that fucking along again, and
- 7:54Speaker 3: then he walked off.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Paint him though, aren't you.
- 7:59Speaker 2: It is a fun thing where people had their job
- 8:01Speaker 2: so much that they yeah, there is there resent people
- 8:06Speaker 2: for heavy to do. If I don't do this and
- 8:09Speaker 2: you've got no job, you're not getting anywhere.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I've got a.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Corner of my garden that's so overgrown that I can't eat,
- 8:14Speaker 3: not even the weed. I can't even really go in
- 8:16Speaker 3: there with a weed whacker. I have to sort of
- 8:20Speaker 3: I don't know what I'm going to do with it.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I'm talking like grass there's tall.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah, well it's.
- 8:26Speaker 5: About the corner that you can't get in there.
- 8:28Speaker 4: As tall as the desk.
- 8:30Speaker 3: But when you're using the weed whacker, it just gets
- 8:32Speaker 3: all tangled up and fucks out on me.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you need to get a bread knife.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, or just dig it up.
- 8:39Speaker 4: That's my other thinking. It's just I'm going to dig
- 8:41Speaker 4: it up.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Or buy a goat. Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 4: So you had a good weekend.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Inside your goat.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I did what you could.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Get the grass to get inside your goat?
- 8:52Speaker 4: Ye, get inside?
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah, inside you go.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I thought that was an excellent idea, by the way,
- 8:57Speaker 3: I thought, yeah, what a great idea buying a goat.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Didn't we look and just let it graze there the
- 9:01Speaker 3: whole time?
- 9:02Speaker 4: You know?
- 9:03Speaker 3: And then I think all the neighbors complained because it
- 9:05Speaker 3: was a real bleater. Yeah you know what I mean,
- 9:08Speaker 3: because it was probably standing in the LNG going I'm
- 9:12Speaker 3: not eating this fucking ship. It's massively overgrown. I want
- 9:16Speaker 3: fresh new grass, bitches.
- 9:22Speaker 5: So good man.
- 9:28Speaker 1: As well, Yeah for the rest of the week.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Yeah, fucking mzy bastard.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Sorry he's not here, Fells.
- 9:41Speaker 3: I like having you here.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Oh thanks, man, that's that's good. I wasn't fishing.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Well.
- 9:45Speaker 3: You know, you're good vibes that you see off all
- 9:47Speaker 3: the time, and.
- 9:47Speaker 5: That good vibes.
- 9:49Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it's lovely filled your boots and what's that
- 9:55Speaker 6: what You've had a really good weekend, and that's good
- 9:57Speaker 6: and you bring it, you bring that energy into the
- 10:00Speaker 6: and that's the day.
