- 0:16Welcome to PCR Sports. Good evening.
- 0:19I'm Dipam, and welcome to the PCR Sports Show this evening
- 0:22with myself and Nilesh Show. Very warm welcome to you and
- 0:25thank you for joining us on this wet and windy evening here in
- 0:29Peterborough. You've joined us for a cracking
- 0:31show this evening. We're speaking with Sean Harley
- 0:33and Rafael Fasognia from the the founders of the Football Versus
- 0:39Cancer charity organization. And they've got an update for us
- 0:43on the organization and a forthcoming event which is
- 0:45really exciting for the city. So do stay tuned to hear more
- 0:49about that. But first, let's catch up on
- 0:51this week's news with Nilesh. Hi Nilesh.
- 0:53How are you all? Right, Thank you.
- 0:54Yeah, despite all this rain that's falling, and sadly that's
- 0:56had an effect on the local park runs here in the city tomorrow.
- 1:00So park runs at Ferry Meadows and Manor Fields in Whittlesey
- 1:04have been cancelled tomorrow. So if you were planning to go to
- 1:07either of those park runs tomorrow morning, then please
- 1:10don't travel and find an alternative park run, which
- 1:13you'll be able to find on the Park Run website.
- 1:16And in other Sporting News this week we'll start with hockey.
- 1:20And the City of Peterborough men's first 11 staged a
- 1:23fantastic fight back to grab a point from their National
- 1:26Conference Midlands fixture at Norwich City on Saturday.
- 1:30The hosts scored twice in the opening 10 minutes and added a
- 1:32third on 28 minutes to take a three nil lead into the
- 1:35interval. City team leaders delivered some
- 1:38harsh words during the break and their response was immediate as
- 1:42skipper Matt Porter pulled a goal back in the first minute of
- 1:45the second-half. Two goals in 2 minutes from Alex
- 1:48Bickerstaff and then Joe Finding hauled City back on level terms
- 1:52with 20 minutes to go. All the City goals were scored
- 1:56from open play and both teams had chances to win the game
- 1:59before the final whistle blew on A33 draw.
- 2:02The point left City in 6th place.
- 2:04They are next in action on Saturday tomorrow afternoon
- 2:08against University of Nottingham Seconds at Bretton Gay in a six
- 2:12PM push back. The students are a point and a
- 2:16place above City. Meanwhile, the City of
- 2:19Peterborough Ladies maintained their four point lead at the top
- 2:22of East Division One after an important 31 success at third
- 2:27placed Cambridge. South City are back in Cambridge
- 2:30next Saturday to face fourth placed Cambridge City.
- 2:34The Bretton Gate Ladies also have a game in hand on the two
- 2:37teams directly below them. Cricket and Peterborough Town
- 2:42fast bowler Alex Green returned with a World Cup Under 19 Cup
- 2:47runners up medal after an astonishing innings from a 14
- 2:51year old in Harare, Zimbabwe. Green took one of his two
- 2:54wickets early in the Indian innings but opener Vaibhav Suru
- 2:58Vanashi promptly smashed a brilliant 175 from just 80 balls
- 3:04and innings which contained 15 sixes and 15 fours.
- 3:08India eventually closed on a tournament record 50 over score
- 3:12of 411 for 9:00 with Green returning figures of two for 49
- 3:16from 5 overs. Green finished with seven
- 3:19wickets in the tournament. England replied with 311 all
- 3:23out. Alex Green started his cricket
- 3:26career at Mark Deeping and is a former Stamford School student
- 3:29who is on the books of county side Leicester CC and will be on
- 3:34our show in two weeks time. Nick Andrews and his England
- 3:39Over 70s cricket team have retained the Silver Ashes in
- 3:42Australia after winning all three One Day Internationals.
- 3:46Andrews and the England squad now travelled to New Zealand for
- 3:49the Over 70s World Cup, a competition won by England on
- 3:52home soil two years ago. The first game takes place
- 3:56against the United States in Christchurch on Wednesday the
- 3:59February the 18th. Peterborough Sports and they
- 4:04picked up a valuable point from a dower National League N
- 4:07contest at Buxton on Tuesday evening.
- 4:10It finished nil nil on a night of very few scoring chances but
- 4:13clean sheets on the road and never to be sniffed at.
- 4:16And the point move sports five points clear of the drop zone
- 4:20ahead of a game with 16th placed Spennymoor Town at Pyms Park,
- 4:24which is now subject to a 815 pitch inspection on Saturday
- 4:29morning. The City side remain in 19th,
- 4:33two spots above the dreaded dotted line Martial Arts and
- 4:37Hicks Family Martial Arts Club star Ravi Panchal claimed an
- 4:42impressive gold and silver medal double at the Northampton Open.
- 4:46He earned the club's Fighter of the Day award.
- 4:48The Ravi after showcasing incredible skill and
- 4:51determination to win the Junior 14 to 16 advanced section and a
- 4:56silver medal in his light Continuous Junior 14 to 16
- 5:01advanced 50 kilogram effect. Over 600 competitors took part
- 5:05in the event with Hicks students picking up five further silver
- 5:08medals plus a couple of bronze medals.
- 5:12Ice hockey and Luke Ferrara is the new record league point
- 5:16scorer for Peterborough Phantoms.
- 5:18A goal in a narrow National League win in Basingstoke on
- 5:21Saturday took Ferrara past the 509 points his brother James
- 5:26Ferrara scored for the City club.
- 5:29The current star finished the weekend which also included A5
- 5:33four win at home to Leeds Knights Iron. 112 points, sorry
- 5:37512 points. He now needs one more goal to
- 5:40equal The Phantoms records goal tally which is currently held by
- 5:44Alex Padaleck. The City side beat Basingstoke
- 5:485/4 after a rapentous shootout in Hampshire on Saturday and
- 5:51then saw off Leeds after a cracking contest at Planet Ice
- 5:55on Sunday. Phantoms have now caught 3rd
- 5:57place Knights on 52 points have played a game more this weekend.
- 6:02Phantoms, who have now won their last three National League
- 6:05matches, will hope to make further progress with games at
- 6:08Telford Tigers tomorrow evening in a 7:00 PM face off and then
- 6:13they are home to Solway Sharks on Sunday evening in a 5:30 PM
- 6:18face off. They also have a midweek fixture
- 6:20coming up as they host Romford Raiders on Wednesday the 18th of
- 6:25February which is a 7:30 PM face off.
- 6:28And finally Posh Women and they will celebrate International
- 6:31Women's Day with a special fixture at the Western Homes
- 6:35Stadium on Sunday 8th of March. They'll be hosting Worcester
- 6:39City in a key promotion chasing clash.
- 6:42The team currently sits top of the FA Women's National League
- 6:45Division One Midlands and both general manager Sam Winch and
- 6:50manager Jake Paul say the stadium occasion is a major
- 6:52milestone for the women's programme.
- 6:55Advance tickets start from 1 LB with under fourteens going free
- 6:59with a paying adult and the squad will be available pitch
- 7:02side after the match for photos and autographs.
- 7:05Tickets can be purchased from the club's website
- 7:08whichistheposh.com. And those are your sporting
- 7:13headlines this week, Tibam. Thank you Nilesh, lots going on
- 7:16in the city as always. Terrific week for posh thumping
- 7:20win over Wigan and the impressive win at Mansfield in
- 7:23midweek as well. Too right?
- 7:25Yeah, Wigan was fairly straightforward, but Mansfield
- 7:28was certainly a different game. Mansfield could quite easily
- 7:33have nicked a point in the last few moments, but thankfully Alex
- 7:37Bass was on his toes and managed to block a shot in the in the
- 7:40last few moments. So yeah, a very good week in
- 7:42terms of the points haul, goals being scored and the resilient
- 7:46performance on Tuesday should hopefully Stannis in Goodstead
- 7:49for a very challenging match at Bradford tomorrow, who are in
- 7:546th place I believe and just five points ahead of Posh
- 7:56currently. And then Barnsley in midweek
- 7:58next week. Yeah, another tough one.
- 8:00Yeah, 3 away games on the trot. So yeah, Bradford first tomorrow
- 8:04and then Barnsley on Tuesday before we return home for Exeter
- 8:07next Saturday. But overall looking good at Posh
- 8:09isn't it? The the the goals appear to be
- 8:11more free flowing. Now the attack.
- 8:14It's not temp fate, it's not temp fate.
- 8:17But yeah, six goals against Wigan, yeah, a very good
- 8:20performance. Took our chances when they come,
- 8:23Mansfield was a very different performance.
- 8:26But back to the wall at times and yeah, credit to Mansfield
- 8:30who put up a a really challenging game for the Posh.
- 8:33But as I say, we managed to hold on and come away with three
- 8:35points. And there's been special, I know
- 8:37we talked about goals and the attacking, but there's been
- 8:39special mention for the goalkeeper this week and some
- 8:42people have likened him to to David Seaman even.
- 8:45Yeah, that's that's yeah, certainly a player that you can
- 8:50be proud of, who you're going to be acclaimed to be as good as
- 8:53David Seaman. But Alex Bass has certainly been
- 8:56performing well since arriving at the club in in the summer and
- 9:00yeah, certainly proved his worth on Tuesday night against
- 9:04Mansfield. Brilliant.
- 9:05Thank you. Fingers crossed for the
- 9:06forthcoming some matches for Posh and obviously Peter of
- 9:10sports as well tomorrow if the game does go ahead, as Najesh
- 9:13mentioned, there's a morning pitch inspection there to decide
- 9:16whether that pitch is playable or not, right?
- 9:19So stay tuned with us. We're back in a few minutes with
- 9:22Sean and Raff from the founder for The Who are founders and
- 9:25managers, if you like, of the Football V Cancer charity
- 9:28organization who are going to keep give us an update on what's
- 9:30happening with the organization, the charity and the forthcoming
- 9:33event in the city. Stay tuned, it's PCR FM.
- 9:36Hello everybody, how are you doing?
- 9:37Super Razor Relic here, and you're listening to the PCR
- 9:41Sport show. You're listening to PCR sports.
- 9:56Good evening and welcome back to the PCR Sports Show with myself,
- 9:59Dipam and Nilesh this week. And just to remind you, you can
- 10:02listen to us in many ways. One O 3.2 FM on the old
- 10:06fashioned radio and if you've got a new DAB device and TuneIn
- 10:09to DAB as well. If not, if you are away from
- 10:12home or from a radio device, then ask your smart speaker to
- 10:16play PCR FM or download our app or on our website to PCR FM dot
- 10:20co.uk so you can keep in touch with what's happening on the
- 10:23radio at any time, any place, anywhere in the world.
- 10:28Back to this evening's show with in the presence of Rafael
- 10:31Fresconia and Sean Harley who are founders and managers of the
- 10:35Football V Cancer charity organization.
- 10:38Good evening gents. How are you?
- 10:39Good evening. How are you doing?
- 10:40Very well. Very well, Thank you.
- 10:42Very well. Good, good.
- 10:44Raff, if I could start with you sort of give us a bit of an
- 10:48update on the on the history of the organization, why it was set
- 10:51up. I know it's a story that's close
- 10:52to your heart and what got you started in within the first
- 10:56place. OK, so there's a man called Mick
- 11:00Belson who was someone who's well known in local football
- 11:03circles. He's won.
- 11:04He won numerous Sunday morning leagues with teams like Nags
- 11:07Head. And then he was one of my
- 11:09assistants when I took over managing A-Team called SSPI.
- 11:12And back in spring 2009, he suddenly started to feel a
- 11:16little bit poorly, progressively got more serious and started
- 11:21feeling more and more and well. And then he was diagnosed with a
- 11:24grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumor.
- 11:26And that was in the April of 2009.
- 11:29And his family were told unfortunately that there would
- 11:31be inoperable and that if he chose to have surgery, it would
- 11:34make him not the Mick that we all knew.
- 11:36So he knew, we knew that it was kind of going to be a journey
- 11:40towards the the end, unfortunately for him.
- 11:42So a group of us together from a local football forum, they used
- 11:45to be called PSTUK, Peterborough Sports Talk Once Upon a time,
- 11:49decided we wanted to come together.
- 11:51So it wasn't just me. There were a few of us, Sean
- 11:54Hamill, Ross Mcmenamy, Sean, a few other people that came
- 11:57together and we literally just put a bunch of money into a pot,
- 12:01hired a pitch at Bushfields, everyone paid 1520 lbs to play,
- 12:05borrowed a couple of kits and then we gave that the few £100
- 12:08we raised to June Mick's wife so they could have a bit of a
- 12:11respite trip away. So that was our first match,
- 12:14summer 2009. So it was 17 years.
- 12:17It'll be this year and. I'll just say that's the only
- 12:19time you'll ever see me wear a green and white cap.
- 12:23For those that don't know, Sean is a Glasgow Rangers fan.
- 12:27And then so we we did that match.
- 12:30Fast forward to Mick was a bit of an old hopeless romantic.
- 12:33And that kind of came to play because he sadly passed away the
- 12:36following February, the 14th, 2010.
- 12:39So it'll almost be the anniversary, Well, the
- 12:41anniversary tomorrow. So yeah.
- 12:44So we then decided that we would then carry on doing the match.
- 12:47It started off as a tournament and then eventually became the
- 12:50format it is today, or in fact should I say this year, which
- 12:53will be a Peter United Legends team playing against a Football
- 12:57versus Cancer Legends team at the Western Home stadium.
- 13:00Which we're very excited about. Brilliant, very excellent.
- 13:02No, thank you for the for the, obviously the background on
- 13:05that, Ralph, Absolutely brilliant to know the background
- 13:07and obviously reasons why. Well, we're all here now.
- 13:09So and, and yeah, you've gone in early with this, with what's
- 13:13happening this year. I was going to build up the
- 13:14anticipation, but that's fine. Yeah, we've got them in all the
- 13:17detail, yeah. Yeah.
- 13:19But now let's let's touch on that.
- 13:20I mean, obviously last year's match was played in the city as
- 13:23well, and obviously this year's will be as well.
- 13:25So let's touch on last year's match anyway.
- 13:27Obviously, you know, if you've played matches around the
- 13:29country, what kind of brought you back to the city in that
- 13:33sense for, for the, for the, for the actual fixtures.
- 13:35So I think we we took it out to Bolton the previous year and
- 13:40which was incredible. What an incredible experience
- 13:42playing at such an amazing stadium.
- 13:44Everyone remembers it as a Reebok and for some of the some
- 13:48of the guys involved in it who were Bolton fans as well, Jamie
- 13:51Baker, Jay Watkin, For them it was a dream as well it but it
- 13:56just didn't have the same feel around it.
- 13:58The events always been in Peterborough and the following
- 14:01has kind of built up around here.
- 14:03So while the experience was incredible and the people of
- 14:06Bolton were were were superb, we just, we kind of lost that home
- 14:09in touch and not to mention trying to drive 4 hours with a
- 14:12hangover. Don't do that again.
- 14:17So, so we reached out to Peterborough Sports under the
- 14:21new guise of and leadership of Tim and they were very
- 14:25accommodating. I must say.
- 14:26What an incredible ground that has become.
- 14:28I mean, what a change. The facilities out.
- 14:32I was skipper there Once Upon a time and I keep telling people I
- 14:35skipper Peter of sports. It makes me sound like I was a
- 14:37good player when they got relegated to Peter.
- 14:39Division One, yeah. I used to play Sunday afternoon
- 14:41football there when it was literally just a field.
- 14:45With the only. Changing room as the mobile
- 14:47changing room? Yeah, absolutely you.
- 14:49Know so it kind of really appealed to us to bring the
- 14:52event almost back home and last year and and incredibly so and
- 14:57you know an amazing turn out from people in what were very
- 15:00similar conditions to the last 40 days torrential rain.
- 15:03It was the wettest. I bet it was wetter than an
- 15:06otter's pocket. Thank you, Sir.
- 15:09So we had tea time shows. Thank you.
- 15:12It was incredibly wet, but what, what, what a turn out.
- 15:15And just to say on that, we we raised our our largest ever
- 15:19total last year. So we took it over the 21 just
- 15:23over the 20,000 LB mark raised on the day, which meant we were
- 15:26able to give a huge amount of 10,000 to both Anas hope and
- 15:30answer his name, which is a huge, you know, work with impact
- 15:33on so many families in a positive way, which is a
- 15:36testament to all the people out there under incredibly difficult
- 15:40circumstances. Yeah.
- 15:41I mean, 20,000 just last year, but what's the running total at
- 15:44the moment? Because that's an extraordinary
- 15:46man, isn't it? Yeah.
- 15:47It's just over 135,000. Yeah.
- 15:51He's about to. He's about to get us to them.
- 15:52HRM. HRLC investigation.
- 15:56Isn't over 150. No, we're aiming a. 150 this
- 15:59year, yeah, absolutely. I'm sure you'll smash it if if,
- 16:02if you repeat last year's figure alone, I'm sure you'll get
- 16:04better than that. So.
- 16:05And obviously this year's fixture at the West Ham Stadium,
- 16:09as you mentioned. Tell us more about how that's
- 16:12come about then. So we've always wanted to have
- 16:14it there. In the past we kind of had to
- 16:17balance the fundraising with being able to build up enough
- 16:21following to make it justified. But I think now we want it to be
- 16:24in the home of football within Peterborough.
- 16:26We've got a number of ex Petri United players who have so been
- 16:29fabulous supporting us. Even a few, we won't mention
- 16:31names yet, you might build up to that.
- 16:34But even if a few that have been Peter when they're youngsters
- 16:37and went on to make fantastic careers, this is this is their
- 16:40home as well and it's a great stadium.
- 16:43We're being really well looked after by Alex Harris, the
- 16:45commercial manager there. And yeah, we're really looking
- 16:48forward to being on that, on that turf.
- 16:50It's been, it's been a long time coming, it has been a long time
- 16:53coming getting it to to be united.
- 16:55And and obviously you touched on on when you first started a
- 16:58bunch of mates playing at Bushfield Sports Centre to now
- 17:01the sort of modern version of what you're doing where you've
- 17:04got ex professional players playing and other celebrities.
- 17:08How's that journey kind of happened then what?
- 17:09What kind of what happened to make that sort of put people in
- 17:12place be? Nice.
- 17:13Don't you have to ask people nicely?
- 17:15Yeah, I think it's it's quite, it's quite an interesting sort
- 17:17of because me and Ralph weren't friends at the beginning, right?
- 17:19No, we were, we were enemies on the football pitch.
- 17:21Very. Much so.
- 17:23He was. He's very dirty player and and
- 17:26so was I. Yeah, it was like KATUSA and
- 17:28George Jordan all over the game. Well, what a combo that is
- 17:32wouldn't survive in the modern era, would it?
- 17:34Definitely not. It's been a journey.
- 17:37It's been a little bit surreal at times and like for me
- 17:40personally, having Colin Hendry involved over the years, I won't
- 17:44say if he's involved yet this year.
- 17:46To see a tremendous character who is infamous for the type of
- 17:51defending one in the Premier League with Blackburn and he's
- 17:53the Braveheart of Scotland, captain Scotland, our last World
- 17:57Cup, by the way, we're there again this year.
- 18:03So to have people like that, for me watching them on the TV
- 18:06growing up and to, to idolize these people, to now have them
- 18:09involved in events with this has been incredibly surreal.
- 18:12But also to to see how humble these people.
- 18:15Are yeah, I was going to say the feedback we've had from them is
- 18:17that we've grown organically because they tend to tell other
- 18:21people that Joe is a good group and I've been involved with a
- 18:24few. I support the Paul Canneville
- 18:26Foundation. So through Paul, I've been
- 18:28involved in other events and often you can, it seems very
- 18:31transparent while they're doing it.
- 18:33Ultimately we don't take any money from it.
- 18:35All of if our money goes directly to to the parents and
- 18:38the children being affected by brain tumors and the actual and
- 18:41young people. So all the money goes where it
- 18:43needs, where it needs to go. And the vibe around the place is
- 18:46great. We've got a WhatsApp group with
- 18:47all the players in, which is quite surreal and they're.
- 18:49All bantering with. Each other there's some.
- 18:51Banner having seen seeing like a random joke between Monty
- 18:54Panisar and Razor Rubber. Brilliant.
- 18:57It's strange. It's a quick, quick, quick fire
- 18:59question. Who's the most famous person in
- 19:01your phone book, then? John Terry.
- 19:03Wow, yeah, amazing game on the phone.
- 19:05We'll speak to him. He ignores my calls now, blocked
- 19:08me. Fantastic ask.
- 19:12Adam McLean. Yeah, he's got Ryan Reynolds.
- 19:16Yeah, we were, we were, we were an event at Chelsea with yeah,
- 19:19just Aaron was came along. Yeah.
- 19:21He's actually a Chelsea fan. If people don't know.
- 19:22I don't know if I just outed him there.
- 19:23Yeah. Thank you.
- 19:24May have done. He was at, he was at Chelsea.
- 19:26From 10 to 16, Aaron McLean before he was yeah, stepped down
- 19:29to he went to Leyton, OR and then down to non league.
- 19:31Yeah. Anyhow, so we're there in this
- 19:32event and he was feeling starstrucks.
- 19:34We had Heather Small for men people on in the booth and they
- 19:37suddenly had a video called Ryan Reynolds, a video called Aaron
- 19:41McLean. I couldn't believe it.
- 19:42But wouldn't let me get involved in it because we'd piled too
- 19:44much whiskers into him. So fantastic.
- 19:49I know if we're ever stuck for future show guests, we know
- 19:52where to come around. Absolutely.
- 19:56Right. Let's just take a quick short
- 19:57break there and we're back speaking to Sean and RAF in a
- 20:00few minutes. Stay tuned, It's Peace FM.
- 20:13You're listening to PCR. Sports Good evening and welcome

- 20:41A lot of interviews that Nigel carries out are uploaded onto
- 20:43there. Other than that, just search for
- 20:45our PCR Sports Facebook page or go on to Twitter and it's Sports
- 20:49PCR or X as it's now called and Instagram your PCR FM.
- 20:54So do keep in touch, if you've got any news and updates with
- 20:57sports in the city then do let us know and if you're part of an
- 21:01organization or an individual who's excelling at sport then
- 21:04get in touch and we'll see if we can get you on the show for a
- 21:08future broadcast. So back to this evening with RAF
- 21:11and Sean from the Football V Cancer charity.
- 21:14Just chatting there about their previous match last season at
- 21:18Peterborough Sports and then this year's up and coming match
- 21:20on 30th of May at the Western Home Stadium, home of
- 21:23Peterborough United. So that's to look forward to in
- 21:29terms of arranging a match. Is it a year long process?
- 21:33As soon as the the previous one finished, you start on the next
- 21:35project for the next year. Is it does it never end or how
- 21:38does the process work? Because it, you know, to
- 21:39organise, organise this with obviously the, the calibre of
- 21:43people that you're getting involved and, and obviously
- 21:45doing the other wrap around around the, the promotion of it.
- 21:49And, and it's not just a football match.
- 21:51There's a whole day event, isn't it?
- 21:52To to go with this, which we'll touch on as well.
- 21:54There's a meal in the evening as well, so a gala dinner where
- 21:56people can come and dine amongst the guests as well.
- 21:59Just a quick plug as well. So on our website on
- 22:01footballvscancer.co.uk, there's a place you can put your name
- 22:05and your e-mail address just to register with us.
- 22:08That puts you into a drawer where you can win a gala table
- 22:11for 10 people as well. So you'll be able to come there
- 22:13for free of charge if you go into that book.
- 22:16Sorry for that shameless plug. No, not at all this.
- 22:18You're here to plug everything or or anything about your
- 22:20organisation and the event, so sure.
- 22:21But yeah, fair play. Sean will tell you so he Sean,
- 22:25Sean is a lot of the relationship building.
- 22:27So which means that he has to also try and chase me to do
- 22:30things too. But he gets one right, right
- 22:33from the the event, even the evening of the event.
- 22:35Yeah, it's about Are you ready to come back next year?
- 22:37Did you enjoy it? To the new players, do you want
- 22:39to come back right? Yeah, absolutely.
- 22:41Look, we've got an incredible team behind us as well.
- 22:43I think it's only fair to mention that RAAF started as the
- 22:46founder of everything and he'll know and testify to how hard
- 22:49it's been, which is how I stepped into the role that I did
- 22:51because RAAF had to take a bit of a break from it for a while.
- 22:53Yeah, I don't know. We never took a break too much.
- 22:56We never took a break, not in the end.
- 22:58I still like wanna make sure it goes OK so I'm not staying
- 23:00around and it's. Probably like organising a
- 23:02wedding every year, isn't it? Yeah.
- 23:03It is a wedding with 20-30 of the most unreliable.
- 23:07Yeah, exactly. Loads of unreliable grooms.
- 23:10And. And an unreliable bride.
- 23:12I mean if I had to. If I got a pound for every time
- 23:14someone asked me when the when's the game again, you know, And
- 23:17yeah, do. You know, silly things like we
- 23:19named the WhatsApp group the date.
- 23:21Yeah, we do. People are still asking you?
- 23:22Yeah, exactly. But no, we've got an incredible
- 23:25team. My wife Kelly, who's part of the
- 23:28committee and is the vice chair of the event, she, she does the
- 23:31evening event and that, I mean, I think it's hard organising the
- 23:34footballers and the teams and the venue etcetera.
- 23:37And but to organise an evening event like that?
- 23:40Yeah, I see all the menu, menu choices, the entertainment, the
- 23:43table favours, the organization of that timings, liaising with
- 23:47the hotel. Hotel rooms is the other one as
- 23:48well. So a lot of our players travel.
- 23:50So Kelly does a fantastic job with that and again, she's a
- 23:53volunteer and. The holiday have been brilliant
- 23:55with her as well who are sponsoring the event again this
- 23:57year. So you know, thank you to the
- 23:59holidays. We've got some incredible
- 24:00sponsors as well that have been there over the years.
- 24:03Panacea Logic, which Ben is now part of.
- 24:06Yeah, Ben Green is on our commit.
- 24:07To now I mean Ben's been a huge advocate and works on the
- 24:11sponsorship side. So without these volunteers, Ian
- 24:13from Geek, who's done the website and.
- 24:16Brought it up the local company. Yeah.
- 24:17So without these people behind the scenes, we, we just wouldn't
- 24:21be able to continue the, the way that we go.
- 24:23Because when you get and it, it sounds so trivial when you, when
- 24:26you say it, but when you're actually in it, when you get
- 24:28people ring you the night before the event or e-mail and say, can
- 24:32I just change this guest in their menu and suddenly they're
- 24:34allergic to nuts or cheese or, and you're like, it's not a
- 24:38simple yes, OK, you've got to rearrange to get the tables to
- 24:42make sure they're not sitting beside that.
- 24:43It's just, yes, it's an incredibly difficult experience,
- 24:46but especially. Sean and I are always really
- 24:49disorganized and drug. Especially on the night.
- 24:51Kelly always has to act as the responsible adult.
- 24:54But you guys got to let your hair down at some point, haven't
- 24:56you? Because the fact that you've
- 24:56had, so give us a bit more detail about the evening, you
- 25:04mentioned gala dinner, but I'm sure it's not just that you you
- 25:06have other sort of entertainment auctions, et cetera.
- 25:09What? What happens on on on the night
- 25:10of the gala dinner? Yeah, so I mean, everyone sees
- 25:13the football game. It's the kind of pinnacle I'm.
- 25:15I actually think the evening events just as much enjoyable,
- 25:18if not more enjoyable because you, you're actually there with
- 25:21a lot of the footballers, the, the celebrities and you're
- 25:25seeing them in a natural environment where you can enjoy
- 25:28their company. I mean, we sat up they're.
- 25:30Not kicking lumps out, you know. I remember sitting up till 6:00
- 25:33in the morning with Des Walker and Colin Henry and they just
- 25:36had the whole room. The two guys who played in World
- 25:40Cups and they're sitting in the Holiday Inn and Peter.
- 25:42Yeah, talking. And it had us encapsulated where
- 25:44we were like just everyone's at the bar.
- 25:46Yeah, I'll have a drink, please. You know, And they were talking
- 25:48just about their careers and what they've got up to.
- 25:50And it was, you don't get that. You can't, that's something you
- 25:53can't buy. And they they enjoyed it.
- 25:55So that to me, you, you get that in the evening, you get to hear
- 25:58stories that you necessarily wouldn't ever get to hear.
- 26:01You build relationships with these people.
- 26:03And then we've got the auction with us, some incredible prizes.
- 26:06I think one year we had a first class return flight to Dubai.
- 26:09Yeah, we had Ronaldo R9 shirt science.
- 26:13The Brazilian best ever. Oh, also, you missed out the key
- 26:15part. Our auction master is generally
- 26:17Neil Razor Rudder. So not only do you have him
- 26:20making sure that everyone pays top dollar for what what there's
- 26:23an offer, but he's incredibly entertaining.
- 26:26A little bit offensive, but in a good way.
- 26:28I've actually been to an evening with him as as as as as an
- 26:30auction master. I think he might have been one
- 26:32of your, I can't remember. He was about 10/10/15 years ago
- 26:36or something so could well. Have been he's an absolute blast
- 26:39and again, when you get behind that kind of rough, rugged, good
- 26:41looking exterior. I'm only saying in case he's
- 26:43listening, he's actually a really lovely.
- 26:45He's a regular side, I think. Yeah, he often, he often, you
- 26:48know, sends us a message. He's a.
- 26:49He's a lovely, lovely guy and he does this from because he wants
- 26:52to support these young people who are going through a terrible
- 26:55illness and that's ultimately why we're all doing it.
- 26:57Yeah, absolutely. Obviously some top, top players
- 27:02that you've mentioned, any standout ones that you've played
- 27:06with or played against in those matches you think wow you, you
- 27:08are on another level. Obviously they are.
- 27:11So we've got. Elite in their own way.
- 27:12Up so Colin Hendry, Des Walker. Can I just say call?
- 27:15I know he's Scottish and I'm going to be a little bit nice,
- 27:17but the guy's 60 years. Old.
- 27:19I tried to sub him off once. Good luck, he.
- 27:22Looked to me as if he was going to kill me and then I almost
- 27:25have pretended I was someone else next to him.
- 27:27Sean. He doesn't even know he plays
- 27:2990. How old is?
- 27:30He now he's 60. 60 He plays 90 minutes, still still solid
- 27:32centre half. And you just, when you watch him
- 27:35play as well, he's, he's, he's so good.
- 27:37Yeah, so Scottish international, English, that was Destiny
- 27:39Walker, Ricky Lambert as well as another England, England
- 27:42national played last year. David Howe, a couple.
- 27:45David Howes. Yeah, Frank Sinclair.
- 27:46Another Another international for Jamaica.
- 27:49We now got Dutch international as well.
- 27:51Ken Monkow. Ken Monkow is ex Southampton
- 27:53Chelsea players coming this year?
- 27:55So the the names are getting bigger.
- 27:56Paul Mercer. Paul Mercer, yes, I mean, last
- 27:58year, Paul, Paul in the rain you did.
- 28:01You could see that he was just loving it that concert outside
- 28:04of the foot pass every. Pass was.
- 28:06Can I just say I've not been able to share this?
- 28:08Have you not? Named him.
- 28:09No, no, no, I I was on the opposite team and I came on just
- 28:12after before you nailed me by the way, I played a cross field
- 28:16ball and he came up to you like that's a top notch pass mate.
- 28:19I was like, wait guys, can we get a microphone over?
- 28:22Here, that's right, timeout timeout.
- 28:23That's why. I yield, you bring you back down
- 28:26to yeah. But even some of the some of the
- 28:28non footballers. So Monty Panesar, yeah, he's
- 28:30very entertaining. He's incredible.
- 28:32Doesn't know he's very entertaining, but he's very
- 28:33entertaining. Do we have to mention our
- 28:35goalkeeper that got a hat trick last year?
- 28:36Oh wow, Yeah, well, we missed, yeah, Luke Steele.
- 28:39So obviously he'd been banging goals in in the Peterborough
- 28:40local league, but he's got a hat.
- 28:42He played in goal in the first half and still managed to score
- 28:44a hat trick in the second-half. Yeah, one of them was an was a
- 28:47like a scissor scissor kick kind of up above his head.
- 28:50Like he's a phenomenal striker striker and he's played for
- 28:53Panathan Icos in the Champions League as a goalkeeper.
- 28:56But then also then like some of the other non football like from
- 29:00Quadrophenia, Phil Daniels. Phil Daniels, yeah.
- 29:02He's famous for the park life solo service.
- 29:04Yeah. Thomas Turagoose from England.
- 29:06Tomal wasn't too bad, to be fair, He he he wasn't quite,
- 29:09although he did big himself up in the change.
- 29:10Room quite a lot. I'm gonna score the hatchet.
- 29:12Can he come out and see news against Marcus, GAIL, Mark and
- 29:15him? And he's like, yeah, can I go
- 29:16another team, please? Exactly.
- 29:19And yeah, and also Omid Jalili as well.
- 29:21The Comedian. He's a good footballer.
- 29:23He's yeah, for a, for a big guy, he's got a sweet foot, isn't he?
- 29:26He has. He's a good.
- 29:27He's a good. Foot and some good celebrations
- 29:28too. And you, you invite local
- 29:31grassroots players or amateurs from locally to play and
- 29:34participate as well, don't you, in the game.
- 29:36So it's not just about celebrity you.
- 29:38There's a chance for some local people to play alongside the
- 29:40the. Separatism.
- 29:41Sometimes you recognise people who've been doing something
- 29:45outstanding in the community. So Marco cemented 3.
- 29:47Scored two cracking goals last season, last was.
- 29:49It. One or two goals.
- 29:50He got two, but the second goal he got was a volley from about
- 29:5320 yards out. Yeah, I mean, I even remember
- 29:56Paul Mason got him. They tended to Ronaldinho,
- 29:58didn't they? Razor then, obviously in Razor
- 30:01style, ran onto the pitch celebrating.
- 30:04You know so. Definitely, and we're going to
- 30:06have some places we're going to put up for auction this year.
- 30:09So if you're average Joe public and you want to come and have a
- 30:12game, then there'll be a chance you to put your hand in your
- 30:15pocket to support and also play on hallow posh turf for some of
- 30:18these legends. Absolutely brilliant and
- 30:20obviously anyone wants to just come and spectate the match and
- 30:23as a fan then they come because, well, do they just buy a ticket
- 30:26on a day or is it advanced sales?
- 30:27Also going to be going on sale very shortly through it'll be
- 30:30through Peterborough United, so the box office, so the box
- 30:32office so it'll all be a ticket only event.
- 30:35So there'll be no cash on the day on the on the turnstiles and
- 30:39it'll be 10 LB for anyone over the age of 16 and 5 LB for
- 30:43anyone under the age of 16. And it's.
- 30:46A cracking deal for to see see the qua calibre of, you know, ex
- 30:49professionals that you're talking.
- 30:50About they always, they always come over to shake hands, have
- 30:52photos and stuff. So yeah.
- 30:55It's really good they're not to me and the good thing is with
- 30:57the way football's going at the moment and I'm a big advocate of
- 31:00football, you'll get to see some old fashioned tackles.
- 31:04You know, it's all I'll tell you one thing.
- 31:06No VAR. And also as we've evolved the
- 31:10event and it's more ex pros rather than kind of your
- 31:13Facebook and Love Island Thai people, these guys are really
- 31:17good still. Like the quality of football is
- 31:19good. So it's a spectacle.
- 31:20So if you're a football fan, come and watch it for the
- 31:22football. If you just want to see someone
- 31:24that's famous then you can can do that too.
- 31:25And we need the competitiveness, like you say.
- 31:28Still, we had an ex boxer, Ben Jones, turn up in a pair of
- 31:32trainers and to say those Walker wasn't happy.
- 31:35We won't, we won't, we won't say what he said.
- 31:38But it was what are they exactly?
- 31:41And then I think he reminded them that he's got an
- 31:43international welterweight. Welterweight belt.
- 31:45OK, Yeah. So I mean, it sounds like that,
- 31:49you know, players who have played at that elite level,
- 31:52their mindset never leaves them, does it?
- 31:53Like so even the example you just gave, but Des Walker just
- 31:57switching on his professionalism, if you like.
- 31:59No matter the the fact that it's a charity match and a bit of a
- 32:02fun match, they still take it seriously to to an extent, very
- 32:05seriously. I think that's what they.
- 32:06Want to win? It makes.
- 32:07The game more entertaining right?
- 32:09Nobody wants to turn up and watch a game of football at any
- 32:11level, charity or non charity, and just see people play without
- 32:15intensity. You're there for a reason.
- 32:17You want to watch. I mean, for a lot of people
- 32:19getting to see Paul Mearson play in Peter Butter, that's huge.
- 32:22You know, there's a lot of people that would've idealized
- 32:24Paul playing in an England shirt, an Arsenal shirt.
- 32:26The same with Colin Des Walker. Neil, you know, on the
- 32:30sidelines. Neil doesn't play anymore, but
- 32:32he's still a great character on the sidelines.
- 32:34Paul hates losing. I mean, canners, he he, he gets
- 32:38angry. He once subbed me on.
- 32:39I found someone. He subbed me off immediately
- 32:41afterwards so. But that's what we want, and to
- 32:43me, that. That and actually it's the
- 32:45spirit of what we're trying to do, because if they're taking it
- 32:47seriously on the pitch, it shows that there because they care and
- 32:50they want to try and help raise as much as awareness and as
- 32:53funds as possible. So yeah, they never lose it and
- 32:56that's what we want. We want to keep that going and
- 32:57it makes it worthwhile for the watching audience.
- 33:00Come along as well. We want them to come along and
- 33:01watch it so. It will be Listen, we're
- 33:05organizing the game. Posh legends V Football versus
- 33:07Cancer Legends right Porsche legends.
- 33:09I want used to lose. Yeah, this is this is our.
- 33:12This is our. This is our.
- 33:13Football versus cancer name there.
- 33:15Yeah, Raff might not agree with me.
- 33:16Yeah, well, to be honest, a lot a.
- 33:18Lot of players have played for us as well so but I know that
- 33:21the crowd will definitely be behind the the posh, the posh
- 33:23players. I want to be the villain in the
- 33:24stands though. Yeah, absolutely.
- 33:26Absolutely right. Let's take our final break and
- 33:29we'll be back in a few minutes speaking with Sean and Raff
- 33:32again. Stay tuned to PCRFM.
- 33:35You're. Listening to PCR sports?
- 33:47Good evening. Welcome back to the PCR Sport
- 33:49show, myself, Dipam and Nilesh. If you've missed any of the
- 33:51show, you've missed a brilliant show.
- 33:53A fun pack show, although it's for a very serious cause.
- 33:57But we've been chatting to Sean and RAF from the Football V
- 34:01Cancer charity organization. You can listen back to the show
- 34:04after 7:00 PM on PCR FM dot co.uk.
- 34:08But just to finish off this evening, RAF Sean, obviously the
- 34:15match at Peter United coming up on May the 30th and you've got
- 34:20players lined up, a Posh legend team this time.
- 34:24And obviously, obviously another team made-up your your your
- 34:27regular sort of celebrity players that you have as well.
- 34:29So do you want to name drop a few just to kind of give people
- 34:33flavour who they can expect to see on on the day?
- 34:34Yeah, we're just going to tease the Posh team.
- 34:36There's a few that. We want to announce as we lead
- 34:37up, but we've got we've got so Joe Lewis and goal, Gabby
- 34:41Zakwani, Craig, Michelle Smith, George Boyd and Aaron McLean.
- 34:46So they're the they're the kind of the bedrock of the Posh
- 34:49teams. You know, you've got a good
- 34:49attack there, you've got a good defend and you've got a good
- 34:52goalkeeper as well. So Aaron wanted to want to get.
- 34:55Neil by Gabby last year, yeah, that, yeah, last year that.
- 34:58Was a bit of a horror moment where you say about it being
- 35:00competitive. So these guys have played
- 35:01together for years and Gabby absolutely cleaned out Aaron and
- 35:06I think he was out for about 8 months after that.
- 35:08He was yeah. So.
- 35:10Neil. If I turn to you from it, that's
- 35:11that's certainly a good legendary lineup.
- 35:12You're a massive Posh fan. Yeah, certainly.
- 35:15You know, you talk of the the Holy Trinity, for example, and I
- 35:19think that just, you know, sells tickets in itself, to be honest.
- 35:24George Boyd, we know still plays regularly the Wythenshawe vets
- 35:28up in the northwest around the Manchester area.
- 35:30And if you follow him on socials, you can see he's still,
- 35:33you know, still got it, so to speak, with the goals that he
- 35:35scores, his ability to put the balls into the box.
- 35:40So, yeah, I think you're in for a very entertaining afternoon,
- 35:43that's for sure. I think I just missed one out
- 35:45actually. Jason Lee as well.
- 35:48Yeah, I don't know. I think Jason's in.
- 35:49This year, OK, he said he was under.
- 35:51OK, maybe. Jason Lee, then maybe?
- 35:52Jason Lee and Neil, who's your? Favorite Posh player?
- 35:56Oh my word. Now you're testing me over the
- 35:58areas, aren't you? I mean, yes, you've got the Holy
- 36:00Trinity there, but I think it's got to go back a little bit
- 36:04further than that. I mean, I'll start, no?
- 36:08Definitely not no that. Would.
- 36:10Be one name. That wouldn't come to the tip of
- 36:11my tongue. I can enjoy you as much as he
- 36:15put his body on the line for Posh many occasion.
- 36:17Oh, Blimey, you're looking at, you know, I started watching
- 36:19Posh in what, the very early 90s, Eighty, 990 seasons,
- 36:22something like that. So, you know, I remember the
- 36:25likes of Marcus Ebdon, Mickey Halsall playing, you know, and
- 36:29yes, you go through to the likes of Charlie Lee, you know, the
- 36:32Holy Trinity to the modern day where you've had the likes of
- 36:35Harrison Burroughs, Jack Taylor, Sammy Smodich, you know, Ivan
- 36:40Tony feel like he's dodging the. Question.
- 36:42I am genuinely. Genuinely dodging the question
- 36:44because. There is.
- 36:45You know, there's such an array of talent that's come through
- 36:49Peterbury United and you have to remember that sometimes when
- 36:52you're, you know, 200 miles from home and you've just been beaten
- 36:553 nil. I mean, I'm I'm.
- 36:58A distant Posh fan, nowhere near as big as Nilesh, but Ken
- 37:01Charlery I think another one who probably gave Posh one of the,
- 37:03yeah the finest moments. In terms of the Clark, was he
- 37:06not quite a big player? Yeah, he scored at Wembley.
- 37:08Yeah, he. Scored at, you know, in the 2000
- 37:10playoff final, you know, when we beat Darlington one nil.
- 37:12So yeah, you mentioned King Kenny, Andy Clark, Charlie Lee
- 37:16scoring in the promotion game against Colchester.
- 37:18Wax lyrical about moments of players, but.
- 37:22They're. Wonderful players in their own
- 37:25right, so I don't think I've got, you know, a favour as such,
- 37:28but you know many of them will transcend the generations
- 37:32because of what we've seen at that particular time and the
- 37:35memories will stay for life. A great politician.
- 37:40Nilesh would have a favorite Posh 11 no player.
- 37:43That'd be a challenge. In itself, but why?
- 37:47Were you asking were you going to pull a surprise out and pull
- 37:48a one out hat for you mentioned a couple of names that we're
- 37:50speaking with. Them actually, and I think
- 37:52that's what we want. To try and do because I think
- 37:53when you get into the bedrock of it and you understand from the
- 37:57Posh fan base who the the, the kind of greatest players are, we
- 38:00understand if we can get those players on the pitch again, it
- 38:03will attract the fans and that ultimately that's what we want.
- 38:06We want people to come to the game, support the game and raise
- 38:09as much money for the cause and understand what they're
- 38:11supporting as well as families and but you know with these
- 38:15young children have been diagnosed with brain tumors.
- 38:17So I can give you a few names from the.
- 38:20Football W Cancer Legends team, so we've already mentioned Colin
- 38:24Hendry. We've also got David Norris, so
- 38:27one who also did pull on a Posh shirt.
- 38:29So there's been an interesting story on that.
- 38:31Yeah, yeah. Frank Sinclair, ex Chelsea,
- 38:34Burnley, Leicester, Jamaica. We're still waiting to hear back
- 38:37from Jason Lee, as you mentioned, John, John McGinley.
- 38:39So former Bolton, yes, Yeah, John messaged me.
- 38:42Last week, and this is the beautiful thing you ask about
- 38:44how organizing John reached out to us and said, is there a game?
- 38:46Was he begging to play? I think he's just heard that he
- 38:50was playing. Against the Porsche last yeah,
- 38:53then we're. Still went to hear back from
- 38:54Marcus. GAIL, who's normally plays
- 38:55centre half when he plays. And Mattie Loton's another one
- 38:58we're speaking with in a minute. X another ex Burnley Premier
- 39:01League footballer. Yeah.
- 39:02Ross Wallace, Monty Panesar, Nick Picard from Hollyoaks comes
- 39:07in, plays center off. Yeah, yeah, he's just got bad.
- 39:09Not bad. Definitely a bit of icon.
- 39:10Remember him from the very first soccer.
- 39:12Aid days when he used to play with Ralph Little definitely
- 39:15back and we mentioned the striker.
- 39:18Ricky Lambert as well. So some line up, isn't it?
- 39:20Yeah. Paul Merson.
- 39:22Paul Merson. Ross Mccormick's there.
- 39:23As well, I've said it. But so the names are that
- 39:26there's going to be a. Oh, sorry for also I said we've
- 39:29got a. Couple of female players as
- 39:30well. Alarm activation.
- 39:32Yeah, a couple of female players.
- 39:33As soon as I mentioned female players, Sean's alarm.
- 39:35Yeah, Why? What's that like?
- 39:37My alarm's gone off at work. But.
- 39:38That's fine. So we've got an X line, X line.
- 39:41S in Claire Rafferty, who's also one of our patrons as well.
- 39:45And then we also have Jodi Bartle, who's now with Wrexham
- 39:49Captain. Yeah, Wrexham.
- 39:50Wrexham captains, definitely. She's gonna be on TV.
- 39:52Even those. Coming months and she's.
- 39:53So she's actually a current player, is she?
- 39:55Yeah. OK, so she's unique in the then
- 39:57so she's not an ex player, she's a current player who's gonna and
- 39:59then we'll have a couple of. Posh Ladies players as well,
- 40:03which will be playing in the Posh Legends team.
- 40:04So we, we're not able to announce them just yet because
- 40:06we're, they'll be current players, they'll be.
- 40:08Current players, yeah, so Porsche have.
- 40:09Agreed to it. So we're just finding out OK,
- 40:11which players are watching. Yes, yeah, absolutely.
- 40:14And in terms of the management of those two squads, is it Razor
- 40:18for the Legends, Razor and Cannas for the Legends and then
- 40:20on? The we've got kind of the
- 40:22foursome of George Boyd, then the Holy Trinity.
- 40:25Oh, player managers plus, yeah, plus.
- 40:26Gabby yeah, we we're. Hoping.
- 40:29We say manage, we say. Manager Gabby.
- 40:32If Gabby shows up, Gabby, if you're listening.
- 40:33If you show up, you're a manager too, so.
- 40:38Yeah, we'll try and work on getting Barry maybe in the
- 40:40dugout for. Yeah, we'll try.
- 40:42We had him in the hotel. Last time and that was about
- 40:44probably let me yeah, let me let me reword that we spoke with him
- 40:48at the hotel before he went to the posh away game.
- 40:50Yes he did. So we're trying to persuade him
- 40:52to come to our game instead, but we're hoping we might get him
- 40:54over this year because it'll be the end of the season, right?
- 40:56Yeah, yeah, brilliant. Right.
- 40:58As we get towards the. End of show, about a minute
- 40:59left. Just quickly.
- 41:01Obviously you must be greatly proud of what you've achieved
- 41:03over the last sort of 1516 years.
- 41:06Obviously stemmed from a sad story, but you know you're
- 41:09making good of that that situation in the terms of paying
- 41:13it forward. Any single highlights you've had
- 41:16over the the journey you've had last 15-16 years a stand out for
- 41:19you? Can I just quickly mention
- 41:20something? First, we've also lost a couple
- 41:22of people on the way have been part of it.
- 41:23So Paul Danan sadly lost his his battle with mental health, who's
- 41:28famous for being on Hollyoaks and a number of other dramas
- 41:30like Love Island and an amazing character and someone that when
- 41:32you get behind the tabloid stories, you realize what a
- 41:35wonderful human being these people are.
- 41:37And also Scott Ladley, he played one game for US1 year.
- 41:40Probably the fittest person I've ever seen aside from Junior A Go
- 41:44go looks like he's built out of. Stone.
- 41:47And unfortunately, like out of nowhere, contracted a cancer
- 41:51that was wrapped around his his heart and then turned into
- 41:54leukemia. And then we lost him and
- 41:55literally in the space of a year and left a young family too.
- 41:58So just kind of note that we're losing people along the way and
- 42:01that's why it's so important. We've raised this one absolutely
- 42:03and talking. On the highlights a.
- 42:05Little bit I'll, I'll go first on this.
- 42:06For me, it's actually the friendship and relationship I've
- 42:10developed with this man beside me.
- 42:12I've, I've gained a friend for life and somebody that has come
- 42:16on a massive journey with me and doing this together and, and
- 42:19raising the awareness and the funds that we have has, has been
- 42:22nothing short of extraordinary. And what, what a person to do it
- 42:25with as well. So am I supposed to follow that?
- 42:28All right, I'll just. I'd I'd literally.
- 42:29Say a highlight for me was also a low light where I had to go on
- 42:33to fill in when someone was kind of roll off roll off stuff.
- 42:35So I went on a left back Des Walker with centre half and I
- 42:38thought I was pretty clever. I picked the ball up, took you
- 42:39down the line, played it in and I got back and he absolutely
- 42:43roasted me, absolutely roasted me.
- 42:46I. Thought I'd done pretty well.
- 42:46But apparently I hadn't. There goes to show that you
- 42:49never you never again. There's taking.
- 42:51It seriously, yeah. I was like, look mate, I'm
- 42:53organising. This man, he's like, I don't
- 42:54give her whatever. Give her the monkeys.
- 42:56You shouldn't be doing that. All right there.
- 42:58Sorry. And then I'd sobbed myself.
- 42:59Oh, dear. Right quick final.
- 43:01Mention of the match, when is it?
