- 0:02Speaker 1: Welcome to Revealing Wholeness podcast dedicated to revealing the profound
- 0:06Speaker 1: connections between body, mind, and spirit, where we believe that
- 0:10Speaker 1: true wellness arises from addressing the root causes of our
- 0:12Speaker 1: health challenges, not just masking the symptoms. Here we dive
- 0:16Speaker 1: deep into how holistic approaches such as advanced chiropractic care,
- 0:19Speaker 1: personalized nutrition, and natural healing practices can transform your life.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Now Here is doctor Troy.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Hello and welcome. I'm doctor Troy. I normally don't speak
- 0:37Speaker 2: a lot on medications, but this one kind of caught
- 0:40Speaker 2: my eye. They've realized that antidepressants are being linked to
- 0:45Speaker 2: heart defects and infants. Now, the mechanism that they're finding
- 0:50Speaker 2: is that the SSRIs, or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. There's
- 0:56Speaker 2: a mouthful for you. For those that are having depression,
- 0:59Speaker 2: they tend to want to have these antidepressants because they're
- 1:04Speaker 2: well rather a mess. And when you're pregnant and you
- 1:08Speaker 2: are pulling tremendous amounts of nutrients out of your body
- 1:12Speaker 2: to make a beautiful little child, if you are already
- 1:16Speaker 2: lacking B vitamins, well that's one of the reasons why
- 1:19Speaker 2: you may be experiencing depression. However, the SSRI is what
- 1:23Speaker 2: they find is that it actually goes into the heart
- 1:26Speaker 2: muscle as it's being formed, and it retards it or
- 1:29Speaker 2: slows it. The enzyme, or rather the energy mechanisms of
- 1:32Speaker 2: the enzymes within that heart muscle are being slowed down
- 1:37Speaker 2: to a crawl, and so the heart muscle is not
- 1:42Speaker 2: being formed, though everything else in the child is. So
- 1:45Speaker 2: now we have these deformed hearts that are small and
- 1:49Speaker 2: not working well. But here's the kicker. As you may
- 1:53Speaker 2: have listened to many of my podcasts, I talk about
- 1:57Speaker 2: the wonderful B vitamin before and of course most people
- 2:01Speaker 2: have no idea and I've never heard of B four
- 2:04Speaker 2: except for the word hey before you go, and that
- 2:08Speaker 2: is not it at all. It is. There are B
- 2:11Speaker 2: vitamins up to like B nineteen, and they there is
- 2:14Speaker 2: even rumors that they're well beyond into like the sixties, seventies,
- 2:17Speaker 2: and eighties. There are tons of B vitamins. However, B
- 2:20Speaker 2: four has been very much just kind of glossed over.
- 2:23Speaker 2: No one really wants anybody to know about B four,
- 2:26Speaker 2: and B four is specific for the heart that before
- 2:31Speaker 2: is or was considered the anti Barry Berry factor b
- 2:36Speaker 2: R I B E er I Barry Barry, M Barry
- 2:40Speaker 2: Barry of the heart is just this condition where there's
- 2:44Speaker 2: just this tremendous fatigue. It kind of sounds like when
- 2:47Speaker 2: your heart's not doing well and not pumping well and
- 2:49Speaker 2: the injection fracture is low. Well, when you have the
- 2:52Speaker 2: correct B four, you now have the strength of contraction.
- 2:57Speaker 2: But I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not every
- 3:01Speaker 2: pregnant mom that takes an SSRI has a child who
- 3:04Speaker 2: has a defect in the heart. It is definitely those
- 3:08Speaker 2: that don't have enough, but those that perhaps do have
- 3:12Speaker 2: enough before. I have a sneaking suspicion that their baby
- 3:16Speaker 2: hearts are able to continue to grow normally even under
- 3:20Speaker 2: the onslaught of that chemical. Now that's just a thought
- 3:23Speaker 2: by myself. And can it corroborate it? We'll know because
- 3:27Speaker 2: nobody's done the research and nobody really wants to, because
- 3:31Speaker 2: there is a lot of money in heart disease, my friends,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and if we keep giving money to those researching it,
- 3:37Speaker 2: I can almost guarantee you that they will never find
- 3:40Speaker 2: a cure for heart disease. Let's just be honest. If
- 3:43Speaker 2: you're getting tons of money for something, and everybody's donating
- 3:47Speaker 2: to you and it's free. How motivated are you to
- 3:50Speaker 2: actually find a cure? Now, most of us, being altruistic
- 3:53Speaker 2: in our mind and being good people, we tend to think, well,
- 3:57Speaker 2: of course I would want to find the cure. But
- 4:00Speaker 2: that's not so all the way around anyways. I digress. So,
- 4:05Speaker 2: if we have proper B vitamins, I wonder how less
- 4:11Speaker 2: or how much less we would have any heart defects
- 4:13Speaker 2: for infants. But nobody in the right mind wants to say, Hey,
- 4:17Speaker 2: I've got plenty of B vitamins, and I take a
- 4:19Speaker 2: really good supplement that has liver in it where all
- 4:22Speaker 2: the B vitamins are, and eat lots of eggs and
- 4:24Speaker 2: molasses and nutritional yeast, and I have a really good
- 4:27Speaker 2: compliment of full amounts of all the B vitamins, even
- 4:30Speaker 2: the ones they haven't bothered to label. I've got a
- 4:33Speaker 2: good supply. So I want to take an SSRI during
- 4:37Speaker 2: my pregnancy so that I can see if my child
- 4:40Speaker 2: has heart defects. Nobody in the right mind would think
- 4:43Speaker 2: that or do that. So will we probably ever find out?
- 4:47Speaker 2: I don't know. But the research that they did was
- 4:50Speaker 2: that they had heart muscle and a petri dish and
- 4:52Speaker 2: they were adding SSRIs to it, and lo and behold
- 4:55Speaker 2: they saw that within about two days, the meta zaol
- 5:00Speaker 2: functions we were drastically reduced in those heart muscles. Their
- 5:05Speaker 2: replication slowed to a crawl, And so they realized that, hey,
- 5:10Speaker 2: the SSRIs are really doing a number to this heart tissue.
- 5:14Speaker 2: So we have to be very cautious about using them
- 5:16Speaker 2: during pregnancy, which would be awesome, but ultimately it would
- 5:20Speaker 2: be really fascinating because certain B vitamins help enhance co
- 5:25Speaker 2: Q ten production, which is in the mitochondria of the cell,
- 5:28Speaker 2: which is the powerhouse of the cell, which runs energy mechanisms.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So yet again I am very suspicious that if we
- 5:36Speaker 2: have a bed vitamin deficiency and a woman is experiencing
- 5:40Speaker 2: depression and anxiety and other brain symptoms and so she
- 5:44Speaker 2: goes on an ssri because nobody knows any better, at
- 5:47Speaker 2: least seems like in the medical profession that they don't
- 5:50Speaker 2: know that that's just simply a lack of actually good
- 5:53Speaker 2: BE vitamins, and not synthetic B vitamins that we would
- 5:56Speaker 2: find in a grocery store or a vitamin shop, but
- 5:58Speaker 2: actual foods that are hi in B vitamins, that all
- 6:02Speaker 2: of a sudden they would begin to turn around their
- 6:04Speaker 2: brain and start feeling better and not need these SSRIs,
- 6:08Speaker 2: but that those B vitamins go well beyond just depression
- 6:12Speaker 2: and brain function. They definitely go into helping develop the heart.
- 6:17Speaker 2: So again, you know, hopefully somebody hears this and runs
- 6:20Speaker 2: with it and starts doing research. That would be awesome.
- 6:24Speaker 2: And I hope for the rest of you that if
- 6:26Speaker 2: you have a loved one or somebody you know that
- 6:28Speaker 2: is on an antidepressant and they're thinking about having a child,
- 6:34Speaker 2: that you would share this with them or at least
- 6:37Speaker 2: regurgitate the information to them and let them make their
- 6:40Speaker 2: own decision about what they think is best for their child.
- 6:43Speaker 2: And hopefully they do make indeed the right decision. There.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Until next time, I'm doctor Troy, and remember there is
- 6:51Speaker 2: way more right with you than there is wrong with you.
