- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: Well, come in.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome in.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_02]: It is Monday morning 633 a.m. We are officially in the legal tampering period.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_02]: I believe Eric.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if there's like a bell that rings at like 7 a.m. or something here.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's 12 it's 12.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Eastern.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: Perfect.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're here.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Broncos making moves and so far it's not been the most.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: exciting period, but we're still going to talk about it and not going to overreact too much, but we'll give you our thoughts and everything.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: But first, good morning, Eric, how are you, Maya?
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: My alarm went off at 415 a.m. this morning and I said, I'll hell no.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, so they let savings time messing with me.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: The kid has been a decade cold Friday, Saturday, so he's not been sleeping the best.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'm exhausted, but hopefully we'll get in that lift later because I got some mountains to climb.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: This summer, I gotta keep getting that lower body strong and good.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: So how are you doing?
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, first of all, I'm agreeing with Dave Glasman here today, like savings is stupid.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I am doing well.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm also tired.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: I was outplayed taxing with people and everything.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: Just keeping myself busy as I always am this time of year, especially.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: Finally went to bed about one o'clock and for him is when my alarm went off and it's like, hey, time to get up.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: You got to show to do.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: So here I am and it's it's fun.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: I love this time of year.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, with the draft and then for agency, but it's definitely exhausting.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, and I know that a lot of people I based on the vibes on Twitter, I'm going to be pretty upset with the moves that Denver have made so far, but
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get into it.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt, but yeah, thank you, Eric, for waking up early.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully you can get an app in today.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: You might need it.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's the busy time and you might miss something, but you miss a lot more if you are not getting at least six hours.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: So make sure you're getting an app in here and everything.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_02]: We got Dylan in the back as well.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see Dylan join in us in the morning West Coast time as well.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you Dylan.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: uh... we got taught in the house our guy taught us north rock in the navy blue bow next pick in the selfie says start a free agency let's go broncos and he says good morning broncos for breakfast bring me a running back so we'll touch on the running back stuff here in a bit i do think we have to recap everything that's happened first before we kind of get into what more might happen and i'm gonna ask dillin and the chat to keep us on our toes as far as breaking news uh... here because things are happening
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: as we are alive.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe not Broncos related but right before we came on, I saw that to a Tungabola was officially released by the Miami Dolphins and just more and more news coming out.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: So real quick, Eric, where's two are gonna end up?
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard Atlanta is one to keep an eye on.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: And it seems to be one to keep an eye on.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then Arizona is another one to keep an eye on.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't land, mulliquelis or cousins, I think was the other quarterback that they've been heavily linked to.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: makes sense.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be very interesting.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: Dave Glassman.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Day that savings time is stupid.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I wish that kept it as what it is right now.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: The fallback, I think, is done.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like the 730 8 o'clock.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's still light out and I granted getting the kid down yesterday.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: It was rough because it was a little brighter in the room, but it wouldn't have been rough if we were already at that time.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: So, um,
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: I had a can I don't know.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: I did it because of like saving energy during war efforts for like infirmers something like that.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: Eric I mean, I don't think it I don't think it matters as much anymore.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: You're your history guy, aren't you?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_02]: Not really.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: It says Star Wars.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: But that I'm from Iowa.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: So there's like something something baked in there.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: Chase Wellner.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see a appreciate you eggs and bacon who
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: and bacon sounds pretty good.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm more of a sausage-link guy though.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: If I had to choose just the spice of a sausage and I'd prefer bacon's like a really good compliment.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think sausage can go by itself.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_02]: What about you Eric?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I went through a phase where I wanted bacon on everything.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: I would go to the to the restaurant and get a bacon cheeseburger with like two times the amount of bacon.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: I have not the biggest fan of bacon anymore after that period.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: Although I will say turkey bacon's actually not that bad.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: I like turkey bacon's good.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: I love the like a bacon jam too.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, delicious.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: Elias comes in and says Kenneth Walker buck the cost.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't seem like Denver is as we've got in closer to this day.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: I would say that Kenneth Walker is kind of gotten.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: out of reach, maybe not a priority for the Broncos, and they seem to be much more all in on Travis ETN and or JK Dobbins, Erica, and we want to talk about what already happened here, but everybody's got running back on the mind.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: What are you been hearing about running back?
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: So if I also James Conner back to Arizona and no move on Josh Jacobs, that I'm aware of as of yet.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: So the market is the market.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so asking around with a couple of people in, you know, reading some reports listening to an interview that James Palmer did.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: It really sounded like Denver was really focused on Kenneth Walker and Brace Hall at the Combine, which is part of why the Jets ended up tagging Brace Hall and then Kenneth Walker really got price out of them rather quickly.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Walker's price has exceeded the point to where even the giant seemed to be out and he seems to be favored to go to Kansas City at this point.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Denver's kind of settled on Travis ETN and JK Dobbins.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds like they're really working on getting both of them back.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Liger seems to be that fallback option and from what Palmer part of the in particular made it seem like is that
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: They view ETN, Harvey, and Dobbins as all three different types of backs that they can all utilize throughout the game in certain situations.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a lot easier to sell that to ETN and Dobbins to bring them both in.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think you can get both of those guys?
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: You probably can get both of those guys for less than what you'd pay, kind of the walker.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: I assume so walkers from what I think same interview I think it think it was Palmer what Palmer said is that 14 million to 15 is what walkers looking at and ETN right now seems to be around 910 and Dobbins is a guy that's probably going to be waiting a while unless Denver brings them back might be another June signing because of yet another injury in his in his career.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: And it makes sense for him like you even though it's not a good running back draft like depending on how the board falls, let's say you Denver for some reason, don't not for some reason, but like let's say they love Mike Washington Jr and they take him and the third round or maneuver the board, you know, the Saints picked the top of the fourth round who knows with his class of all Texas one team, but that maybe changes the calculus and I wouldn't want signing JK Dobbins then to
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: Proclude you from taking or preclude, keep you from taking a running back that you like in the draft even though I would be skeptical.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the guy Eric, you know, I've been I'm much more of a draft guy.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think I could get behind it.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: Again, Nick on his high horse again, but the Kentucky running back, Seth McGowan, like you watch him.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, that guy's actually got.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: the tools and trades, but you know, he went to prison for assault and maybe he's changed.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but that's one where I'm not close enough to the situation where I can advocate or dismissing anything like that.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: But that's it's too bad.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he might be, this might be hot.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't heard many people talk about him.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: He might be the second most talented back in the class.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's gifted.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: He,
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: So it's up in Galen.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: I just did a working on this series.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's covering one player to each position for the broadcast in each round.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so the McGowan was, I think, like the fourth or fifth round running back that I was talking about, and all came down to character.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: From one of Gathered even without the character issues, he's probably still three or four in this class.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: And it just depends on the views of Jderian price in Mike Washington, which seems to be all over the place, but he's very talented and there's a lot there, but it's very much a aspect of doing that background and character digging into him, this thing if that stuff is truly behind him.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like it is, but we aren't close enough to say for sure, it's just stuff that's being said, I know during the combine, I think Charles Davis talked on it,
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody talked on that during the combine and kind of said that he it was very much a learning period for him as it should be and that and went into a lot of other stuff with his background as to what led to that point and you know getting out of that.
- 8:50[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: And I kind of take it back as far as like the most athletically gifted doesn't necessarily mean the best running back it might be nickel single 10 just for the size and that doesn't but the vision and some of the tackle breaking is Careful saying single 10 what was that you're just careful thing single 10 you're going to trigger some people.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what today brings Stephen and cup Bungar and a good morning.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: What are you guys going to about ET and we talked about it.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: Denver and Kansas City.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think teams are really looking to bring in running back because of the lack of talent in the draft.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see you in the playout.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: It does seem like that the two teams and this is from Palmer and Jeremy Fowler and one of the other ESP guys, they've all reported on this.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: The teams that are most interested in getting running back and being the most aggressive are the broadcasts and the chiefs.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans were up there at the combine and then landing, my camera kind of took them out of it and they've kind of settled.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Other teams are looking, but they seem more willing to wait.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: So that is what I'm going to explain to Denver's favor.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: Commander's up there too.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_02]: They keep coming up continuously with running back.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: According to those three, is there one of the ones that are on the more willing to wait and see how things play out?
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: And that the other so the giants talking about it, the Titans seem to be interested.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's those things.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: I hear a lot of things.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: More and obviously we'll see things change here.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Bell coming in here.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: Struggling to hope we can find a splash of rage and see again.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people aren't happy with some signing, especially traveling.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll get into it, we'll get into it.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: Chase asks, wouldn't ETN be redundant with Harvey?
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like Harvey's a little bit more of a start stop where ETN is a slasher, if you will, and ETN's kind of a good overall back now, obviously, some of the Mac of height and bulk, like they're both neither of them are true thumbvers, but I think you could probably work out, you know, Harvey a little bit more, maybe duo and ETN the more of the outside zone, if you wanna run that more, what do you think, Eric?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was surprising to learn that Harvey's bigger than J.K. Dobbins is like he's apparently he's apparently pretty big between two 15, two, 20 is what he was apparently playing at last year.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: E.T.N.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: is a little bit right around two, 10.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: There is some some redundancy there.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Both of them have a little bit of concerns with their past protection.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: The running style is as a little bit of similarity and crossover.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: But that's, you can live with that and deal with that as long as you still have that other element to, you know, certain situations with that fast protector, which is seems to be why they want Dobbins back, he, they're eyeballing him as that 36 plus or on to an underyardage situations.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: It all depends on how the whole room makes out if it is just ETN and Harvey and they don't get that other guy I'll be be I'd be a little bit more concerned than if they do manage to get that short yardage kind of back.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, absolutely got German coming in here good to see Mike Thompson.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: Tony says no more cronyism.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: Today cronyism is so in.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: Haven't been mean gosh.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't chew.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: We'll leave it at that.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: Michael, good to see a good morning.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Nick and Eric on Broncos for breakfast.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see a Michael.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: We got Duke coming in here says why not add both.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: Why add both the tight ends back?
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: You raise your floor a bit.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: They know the system.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: They know the offense and I don't think he keeps you from adding another tight end throughout the draft.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_02]: You have now a somebody who
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: at least, functioned, that's, I don't know if that's already, the role he played last season was the Y.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe it opens you up to go different directions.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that Traubman and Grumman Atkins should keep you from adding anybody to the Titan Drew in person, unless there's something budgetary that would keep you from it, but if you wanted to add up here, you know, a big blocking Y like Charlie Colour, fine.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: Traubman is your second kind of England guy, you wanted to add,
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: K-Dotten, Ingram is not going to keep me from wanting to add the room if I like K-Dotten, and now you don't have to be pure, only why come in anywhere to travel in now.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: Personally, I don't think there's ever been a skill position player.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: I like to more than Grangkowski.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I got him always hunting for that, which they know he's like probably the
- 13:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he might be the best skill position player of his decade, just because he was so good as a blocker do, so it kind of changes things, but yeah, I'm, I think it opens up all directions.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_02]: Also, Nate at Atkins contract, if he gets, you know, pushed out because you bring in another tight end and you draft somebody that you like more and he's kind of fringe practice squad, whatever, then God bless his contract isn't one that's to me going to keep me from drafting or adding another guy in for you didn't see today.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Denver entered for agency with two tight ends in our contract or enter this period with two tight ends.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: They needed to make sure they're at least keeping the floor together.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a lot of what they've done so far.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: They just made the AFC championship game they're trying to do they're making these assignments to make sure that floor doesn't fall from underneath of them.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: And they're going to use the next few days and next few weeks.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then the NFL draft to raise the ceiling of what they can be and hopefully use those guys to get them over the hump.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: Adam Truppman, his deal doesn't keep you from going and getting a tight end and Nate Adams can steal.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely doesn't.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's said it's going to be under three and a half million on a one year deal.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: And Adam Truppman's deal based off what's gone around.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like it is a two and we'll see about the third year kind of deal.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: Neither one of them makes you keeps you from the out of the tight end market.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: And especially when there is a lot of hinting that depending on what tight and they can get, Evan Ingram could still be on his way out similar with lineback or drag green lock could still be on his way out.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: So it, it's not keeping them out of the market whatsoever.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: It does sound like the market's kind of getting a little out of hand, which just put a little bit more importance on them making sure that they're keeping that floor together.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, so again, they don't want it to fall from underneath them to where they just collapse and take a major step back from my share at this point.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: because that's all they can do right now.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's just, what's the next step?
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: What happens to be over today into tomorrow?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably the reason why I again, they're looking at bringing out a single thin back.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they looked at brought, bringing the back, Justin's for nod, keeping that floor up, but none of these moves are gonna keep them out of going and getting a guy in for age to see or in the draft.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's just making sure as Denver has done some storage patents got here,
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: that they have somebody in case they don't get those guys in for agency or the draft.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, again, raises the floor.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: And I was happy to have strun out back.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think that was a good deal for him.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: We lost the producer to put it in the trats.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have it in front of me here.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: But the was 18 million, three years.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Up 18 to half or something like that.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: 18 and a half, that's a good deal.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that Charmin back is fine.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: Again, like, you know, your third or fourth tight end, I thought he was overpaid and then the PR coming out after it where he's like one of the top three are four blocking tight ends and then he's on Twitter talking about like don't look at your PFF grade.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, buddy, the eye and the sky does not lie and like, you know, I'm not going to sit here and be like, I know more football than Adam Troutman.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing to say there other than you know, put out platitudes and, you know, PR backed up as well to a kind of push a narrative that just doesn't really line up with a tape and I know the free agency you're going to overpay guys.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_02]: I just to me, Troutman wasn't somebody worth overpaying overpaying.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: He seems like a very replaceable talent.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_02]: And if you could get him, let's say it was the exact same deal.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Eric is Justin Strenaud.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_02]: great like you know like you're paying him seven million six million year two year deal.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: Some of them like that.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: Then we can talk.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: But my first thing was okay trotting's back whatever they paid him what?
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm not sure about that.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that was one of the things as I said, they signed a back is like, what's the money?
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: What's the guaranteed money in it?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: It really, you know, have they done it basically three one-year deals in a trench coat kind of deal?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: What Denver's done a lot over the last few years?
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: It would even be a little bit easier to swallow even at the money, but the fact that it's two and one.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a it's a little bit concerning and just want to grab this here.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: They won't cut anger and won't save anyone in doing so post June 1st cut.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's still not great.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's still almost it's basically 7.7 million in dead money compared to 6.4 save, but with how he's played, especially if they go out and get another tie then to do that.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's definitely on the table.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they don't do it, but it's on the table.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: But with Trotman,
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: He is one of Trump's guys.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: There's no doubt about that.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: And they really do value him being part of that room, but that kind of money signifies that he's going to have a role in this offense.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: No matter what, and so it makes me even more worried that they're not going to go out there and really look at upgrading that wide-eyed end spot.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're just kind of going to really are going to run it back with them, not that it keeps them from doing so, it just suggests that might be the mindset, and it's also kind of looks like a mindset of, well, there's not a lot of those guys available in fragency or in the draft, so we kind of circle back and just going to keep them there, and then
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: The other thing with this too is with kind of what's going up between the lines.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: It really seems like they explored some other for Asian markets.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: Daniel Belinger in specifically so, and they just may have found out that his price range may have been a little bit more than Denver was wanting to spend, which led to them circling back to travel in.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you have been Todd Austin versus Mason has Andrew Mason,
- 18:48[SPEAKER_02]: The issue is that 90% of his catches are blocking releases where he is completely open, checked down essentially, or, you know, that's a vast majority.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you've situation in the past game.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: So I think you have to,
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: understand the type of reps and when he is getting the football and what is the actual catch rate for those kind of targets is just a catch all for tight ends where they're running seam routes or tough ones over the middle and zone coverage and haven't come down with it.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's getting
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: any of those targets at all.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: So you have other titans that have much more difficult asks.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like comparing the fuel goal percentage from a post player versus somebody only shoots threes, right?
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's the type of buckets that are being asked to hit, don't exactly lead to the stat saying the same thing.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: So again,
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I would have been paying in probably a two year, $12 million deal, um, but yeah, it's, uh, it is frustrating.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I know I, I love my clothes.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: I get a good job.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: I've the Broncos PR working overtime, um, with the, the quote, one of the best pure blocking tight ends in the game.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I don't know, man.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not a, I'm not here for that.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: Based on what we saw last season.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're probably 15, the 20, maybe tight ends were better.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: And it's the fancy offers.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: almost nothing as a receiver as a dynamic play catcher to it's just like you got to be better in one or the other but they signed them they raised the floor and it will see if they make another move at tight end just to round out the broom still.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: I went to the raised the floor I said they I'll say they just kept the floor same thing with that.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's like just some antics here.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: But Whitwood Trottman being
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously stats, they can be twisted and manipulated as a what you want, but that's the easiest outlet without the down and showing you all the tape and all the bad plays that he's done.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: In the last three years, Adam Trottman is the only tight end to allow a average step to tackle that's in the negatives.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Over the last three years, he has won a three to have done so just last season.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: And in the last three years, he's been bottom seven in both boom block percentage and run stuff right allowed.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's not good blocking.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like, though those are very pretty simple statistics.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: How often are you missing your block or whipping on your block?
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: How often are you getting beat for a tackle for a loss on the run?
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: And how often are and where are your guys making the tackle?
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: When they make the tackle, it's awful.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I have been calling trouble an out since 2024 for how bad he's been?
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm happy to see that this, it's kind of well known because early on it was, oh yeah, he's still good.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's not.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the, it's the deal and the structure of the deal that really bothers me.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: If they wanted to go give him, as you said, two years, 12 millions in that first year guaranteed, or even with what he's at now with that first year guaranteed, all right.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: But guaranteeing money into the second year and as much as they did, it's concerning.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course the PR is probably the worst of it all like just he is not a good blocker.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's very obvious is not a good blocker.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to be gas lit about it.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, now what you want, but he's back and you have three tight ends now where.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_02]: Denver should be able to function this season with the trio that they have, but it's still a room that they obviously have a spot to add both the developmental guy and a ceiling guy as well.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see, Eric, I know that you are not as big of a fan as on.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: K-Dotten, but he's somebody that, you know, since you did bring in Troutman, I give you go, yeah, you go any direction.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: Now if these guys, if you love Max Clare or Oscar Delbore, you lie raired in the draft, I think everything is in front of you, still with that position, you are not a pigeonholed to one direction having Troutman and Crowleback.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's bad, or Adkins, not Crowle.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: And, where excuse me.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: and also having, and I said this before with Odden, not as the main in line guy, but if they are looking in a direction of where Ingraham still is on the table of being cut, fine, because I think he is an upgrade over Ingraham, especially as a blocker in the slot.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: And,
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think there is, he's not great in line, but I think there is enough.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: He is one of those, he is one of those tight ends that's right there with Trapman in those blocking metrics that I mentioned.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, he's run stuff right aloud.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's actually one of two that's worse than Trapman.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's enough potential there with him as a blocker that you can still use him in line as well as still being young enough.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas at this point in the screen, Ingram has made it very clear that he is not a guy you can use in line.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I've kind of come around to an extent on autumn and having at him trouble back does make it a little bit easier to swallow.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: And if Denver is kind of looking at that Sam Laporta detached the big slot type of past catcher rather than giving up picks and it probably a bigger contract for Laporta.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: You can get on and then probably play the same role and he's going to dabble in some of what obviously would ingram does, but also the little Jordan Humphrey role as well.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: And you could see Denver maybe then bring any of John Jennings as somebody also on the market that could play some of that.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: We aren't truly in the like full on positionless football era, but there is a lot of bleeding over from the positions in some of those roles, and I think on could do some of that now that you have atkins, or you could go full on, you know,
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, heck does that free up a wide receiver more likely down the field or force them into heavy personnel, where your play action, then is going to be that much more effective.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: All options on the table one comes in and asks about the Broncos wanted to be aggressive.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: Treatment and Atkins, do you think they're being soft?
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: You see aggressive or still going big name in the tight end market.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just wish the treatment deal wasn't as large as it was.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of the my frustration with it.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: And hopefully it doesn't keep you from going that direction.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: With that said, you paid very minimal to bring back starting quality linebacker pit play and just in strinad.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see obviously all the talk has still been since the combine, but even after this strinad deal was announced.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: that they would love to bring back us, Alex Singleton.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that means for Dr. Greenlaw or anything, but Denver should have some flexibility still to go a number of directions and be aggressive if they want to some extent.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: And to that note, or to that just on that topic, the Broncos also made a movie yesterday and now it's seen a restructure of Quinn Miners contract free and up I believe, an additional 11 million Eric on that move.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_02]: So Denver does have,
- 26:08[SPEAKER_02]: haven't paid a running back yet, they still have flexibility to make one or two moves still today that are not that big time splashes, but I don't think Denver's in that position where they want to be the team making the big time splashes in free agency, they just, you don't have those kind of players out there.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you see it over and over again with the teams that win when today aren't often doing much of anything December and January.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so in terms of
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: we should be at the point where we don't care that much about it.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: Are they camp compliant or not?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: Denver with prior to couldminer's is deal.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: They could have restructured four deals, couldminer's being one of them and created almost 60 million in cab space.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: They have rich owners, what all they're doing, simple restructures, you don't have to negotiate anything with the player.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: You can just do it.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: And all you're doing is you're turning their base salary into assigning bonus, player gets a money faster and the team's able to spread it out over the rest over the next five years.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: If the contract is that long.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: Which is why often you see void years added to them so they can get that mic some stretch of it.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Maglintree, DJ Jones, Patrick Sertan, anybody who signed an extension or been extended by Denver over the last 18 months.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: All of them are eligible for that, for that restructure to where they can, so they're in do that.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: Ben Powers is the only one we know that they're not going to touch his contract on.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's okay.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm Mike Maglintree, you still have Ben Powers, you still have John of the Cooper, even if they wanted to do that.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: in one thing with that is Denver is very reactive and not active with it.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: And what I mean about that is a lot of teams they'll do their restructures before free agency.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: So they know what they have to work with.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: Denver is a team who are, they'll come to their agreements and then they'll do the restructures to make sure those deals work and they can fit.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's why we get, they're not, and trout men, and even applicants, and then during all that, it breaks, well, they're gonna do the separation
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: They're still going to be aggressive and we can't say that they haven't been aggressive already because they had a fifth on the table for David Montgomery.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: They got bid by the Houston Texans.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: They were very much in on Brace Hall to the point where the jets changed what type of tag they were going to hand they're going to give him.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: So they've been aggressive.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to keep being aggressive.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to calculate just how aggressive.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: In a period where they're not technically able to talk to other teams for agents and they got to be careful with that.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't leak.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: They don't get in trouble.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: They don't leave draft picks.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: They're making those talks, but there's doing it quietly.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: So it is going to.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: be interesting to see what it is.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: I expect them to be very much in on a running back.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't maybe wait and see.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that they're live backer.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: They're still being aggressive.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: It went late into the night.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: They were still working on Alex Singleton.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: And from what I understand, it doesn't mean they won't go after a free agent line backer either.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: And another one that's been very popular is a defensive lineman.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay, and we'll talk about that in a second.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: David Young King has then says, well, web run his own system or shons.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think web system very much is shons.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's been here for three years, and I don't think shon would just, it's not that we're going to see a drastic change.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I may be some of the,
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: air raid concepts as far as the quick verbiage and getting playing a little faster on the offensive side of the ball.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe that's something that you see change or just some little bit more keys.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_02]: But this is still going to be Sean's emphasis.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: And that's, I mean, what is the league telling you right now as well?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, teams are trying to pull from that Sean Padeon tree.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: More than ever, I mean, he had all that success in New Orleans, Eric, but it wasn't a, you know, people pulling off his staff left or right that, you know, work with Sean Payton full.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: or a little bit, and even you can do multiple degrees of separation on that one as well Eric with Ben Johnson being from the Campbell Tree.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: So that Sean McVease slash Kalshana entry, maybe Doug a little too deep.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here for some teams and teams are looking for to go somewhere else, but you got Declan Doyle and somebody else out there Chicago has got obviously some of the, yeah.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Payton influence obviously you got to now with bills with Carmichael.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think as well out there.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a there's a lot of Broncos pull right now because of Sean Payton's ideology and scheme.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that because of that you'll see web run way more.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what even is his own system.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be some variation of what they've been doing last three years.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this question was answered by both Sean Payton and George Payton.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_00]: It is still Sean
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's just ending over play calling duties to somebody who can, you know, get the plays in a little bit faster, see things a little bit differently, and allowing Sean to not be so short-sighted and unable to see everything that's going on, because one thing that has been talked about, I can't remember who it was, but it was in an interview that they were doing.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: They talked about how Sean really felt that he was missing trends and tendencies during games, because he was so focused on what the next call is.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's part of the reason why he's handing it over and then it's been heavily implied by a multiple national media that John Peyton was considering this even before this season started and that is a big reason why Davis web got to call that one preseason game just to see what he could do in that and John Peyton was still being involved.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be very much an Eric B. enemy and Andy Reed situation wouldn't be enemy was calling plays there in Kansas City.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Sean Peyton will still be like, no, let's not do that here.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do this, but it's going to be a lot of kind of hands off letting Davis work doing it, not a lot of micromanaging and very much focus on constructive criticism because they are trying to do everything they can to get Davis web to succeed.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: So that way, he can eventually get a head coaching job and also him being successful as a playcard means Denver should be successful as a team.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: absolutely champagne problems.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: We got Shiloh in the house.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: I saw Mr. Killer once.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: Eli Stower is at 30.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: Quentin also at Stower's there to be nice.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_02]: Something telling me we won't get him.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not as big on Stower's just because I don't like Titans who can't block really.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: But if you want to play him in the, you know, the Allen Lesard, John Jennings big slot role.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's interesting.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: 30 overall probably rich for me.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: If I set the over under on him right now, Eric, 52, what do you think?
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Four hours, 52 and a half, I would probably, I don't know, I think that would be a good line.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good line.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm right there.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I can't go on either way at the moment.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: He feels like a mid-second rampic to me, but we'll see, really talented player does obviously,
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: You lose some schematic flexibility with him.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think you lose more because he's not a blocker versus even the athleticism because teams will treat them like a wide receiver.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: But he has athletic enough where in theory you should be able to outrun or at least create some separation versus cornerbacks.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's just if you're trying to create explosive plays in today's NFL, you need to get them out of shell coverage and get big bodies in the field and Star Wars doesn't really do that.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: Well, also not offering the necessary speed of a wide receiver.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: Still a rule.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: I just think it's not somebody you're seeing play 70% of this naps string guy good morning Eric, what do you guys think about Logan Hall as a replacement for JFM?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think same Houston state Logan Hall.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: I've maybe even a first round pick long um player.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're talking about somebody to come in and compete that obviously didn't live up to expectation of his draft slot, but I mean, I'm here for athletes coming in and hopefully getting better.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, he's coming out of Houston.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to have a decent amount.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: Wasn't the, you know, overly high on him.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: If I recall, I think he was the, I think he was the 33rd pick.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was the first pick that first pick of the second round.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: They're in Tampa Bay.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: He looked like he was about to emerge not last season, but 2024.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: Fell back this last year.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so I'm not sure what the contract will be for him.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: But he is a guy that I wouldn't be opposed to looking in for bringing that role because there's some decent some similar to there to save you on Jones with what he's bringing.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just it's adding more competition for Jones and hopefully pushing both of these guys to kind of step up.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm not the biggest fan of who was a recaping using that role.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I like to do something to try to keep that and keep using him
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm with you on that and we'll see what else Denver does Nick once or she she'd she'd go to Denver.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think Eric you shared in the chat that it makes sense.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: Vegas needs why receiver and he knows the people there.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it just that one just did, you know, just adds up.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: Mr. Killer's to stowers a better blocker than trauma and it's just totally different rules out there, but if you're asking him to play in line Just it's a that's not a good recipe Little drug Humphrey think about that rule.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's on the perimeter, you know screens and Outside zone.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's where he's gonna be Steven Bungarner brings up somebody a cam Jordan to Denver today Certainly possible.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: I've been being in the clayous Campbell drum for Lord knows how long he still have like seven sex glasses in Eric
- 35:40[SPEAKER_02]: In Arizona, I would love Campbell here, but Cam Jordan makes a lot of sense as well for Denver 37 years old.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: He was in the same draft as Vaughn Miller.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's probably one of the best players in that first round that fell to where he did.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: He had that incredible run and he fell because of some character stuff, but I think the four-eye stuff bringing a veteran presence in the room and somebody, I mean, he gives incredible interview.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: Eric, as well, always good for a good sound bite, has some teeth too.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm here for Camderwood, and if you're talking, you know, two year, eight million, seven point five million, and I don't think he should be worth more than that at this point granted.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: Lord knows, the market is so inflated right now that maybe it's more, but what do you think?
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's something that I think it could be a possibility.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's all going to come down to that contract.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: Can match.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's a veteran that won't keep them from getting to have playing Xavier on Jones if he is ready to start.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: But he's a guy who can start if Xavier on Jones isn't.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: I know when he mentioned Cam Jordan, a lot of people are going to are going to be like, well, he can't do this.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's more of an edge.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: He is not.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: He is more of an interior difference of Lyman and an interview at the
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: I believe the right carpet stuff for the NFL awards.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: He talked about how he plays at 295 pounds.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: He was making.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: He was joking around with Matt Ryan because Matt Ryan was talking about.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely hated it when you would hit me and he's an all 280 pounds of you and can't go to companies like you need to do 95 He's a big guy.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's done this before and some of his best years have been working as a four eye five technique even in the four man fronts that saints have used a lot
- 37:20[SPEAKER_00]: guess what, he was still lining up more as a four eye five technique, which is exactly what you're looking for for it.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_00]: I would, that's the defensive lineman that there's been some, some traction, I would say, with Denver.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what happens.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: Contracts are important.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's a huge fan of Sean Payton, and he was very complimentary about this van shows of defense during those that red carpet stuff for the NFL honors.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, we got Adel coming in here says hi from Brussels.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you can't wait for the big splash.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: Todd says why wouldn't you want Vaughn Miller?
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: If not, Cam Jordan, completely different body types.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_02]: Vaughn is a wide nine, seven technique, the Ness spell, Russia where Cam Jordan's going to be playing the four i5 as you mentioned.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, same thing with the
- 38:08[SPEAKER_02]: John Franklin, my are coming in.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he's an edge.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: He played defensive ends.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: That didn't check me quite well.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: For this game, you got him one on one, Denver's rushes, probably five guys, more than anybody in the league, not six, because that's, you know, shout out to Brian Flores, but five guys, more than anybody in the league, and with that, you get the one on one, so you don't necessarily need the same body types.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's much more slashing up front, so he could play that rule, no doubt.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but yeah, if they did go trade for if they did bring them on Miller, you probably got to kick somebody out.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so the question is what's the market for Cooper slash Ellis?
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, guessing there's probably more ROI and value on that than where Q Robinson's at right now.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like he's more of a.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: You need more play in time.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think I would hold on to that asset.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: If possible, tillman back with his contract, probably more valuable.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: Um, then what you could get for him, but Ellis, some Cooper.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: If you're want to bring back vine, you probably got a.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: see what the market is for one of those two.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead, Eric.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to say, tell me on his contract, might be the most valued edge rusher in this room, just because of how cheap it is.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's a $1 million deal as a new source of rice for agent.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty tremendous value for what he's playing.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: But if they bring fun Miller back, it's not going to be for on the field.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be in some front office position.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: And Todd's not talking about it.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: The, he wasn't talking about cam Jordan there.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: So that's, sorry, just the older things there.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_02]: Todd, name you think you were.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: All good.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: Keith, good morning.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: Good to see you, Keith.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: The other news and Denver's asked Denver Lucas, we're gonna do a post-combine mock today, probably not today.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: We should probably just keep on free agency.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about it on Friday as well.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: But all the Broncos stuff today should be free agency.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: We obviously talk about Quinn Miners.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: The other move being Sam Ellinger back on a was a one year six million dollar Three two out-blasts.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay all the numbers.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: They're not directly in front of me and daylight savings time is kicking my family's but But I'm fine with Ellinger back and you talk about two million doesn't preclude you from doing anything for the room other than now You have a third quarterback who you're comfortable with
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: I would be curious what happens with the draft and the Jared Stidham trade market as well.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: If that's been out there, I don't think Ellen or you want as your second quarterback ideally, but you have a third one now, so maybe, I mean, because you have three, if somebody calls on offers, let's say Eric, a fourth round pick for Stidham, I'm considering it at that point.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what's risky because of injuries and you might have to go.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: three, four games without your quarterback.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that just happens seasons longer.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: And I trust it a more than a linger, but the fourth round pick is also something to reset the contract there and get some value back.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's definitely something I'd consider.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and there's still a lot of interest in Jared Stitham.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_00]: The Detroit Lions and Washington commanders are two teams that have expressed a lot of interest in him.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: And both of those teams also expressed prior to the season, a lot of interest in shredding porcelain or prior to the cut downs.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: But Elinger from what has been said and reported is he kind of told Denver not to trade him.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: He wants to stay and that kind of led to him supposedly informed him.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to keep you on the roster and he's like that's fine too.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: So that is some to keep in mind, I think that they'll still look for another quarterback and either not maybe not in the draft, but afterwards, adding another rookie in their for it to help compete, especially with a one year $2 million deal with Elinger.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: So it is, it's just something to keep an eye on, but they kind of wanted to keep this from together.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's about keeping that floor there.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: And over the next two, three months, we'll see what happens on the Jared's set of front.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't do what it is, I guess.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_02]: Definitely worth following, though, and do you have a number that you're like, oh, yeah, he's gone.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: If somebody offered that.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: A fifth and a value of a fourth, I was like, not a fourth round pick, but the value of a fourth.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like a fifth and a future fifth, or a specific, something like that.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I would be definitely interesting to follow.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: So that's where we're at right now.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: We got Charlottom and back.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: We got Atkins back.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: We got Elinger back.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's a strynod back as well.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: Still have to make a move at running back.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: For this Broncos room, there's been talk about ETN, sound talk about Ozureer, and then also Dobbins still out there.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_02]: And still could have Alex Singleton back as well.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: And finally, the Quinn Miners restructure.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: What are you looking for today, Eric?
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: What is going to be?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think a lot of the moves have been made already for the Broncos, as far as the,
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: at least in volume of decisions.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: But I still think a running back in a linebacker seem to be likely with the potential of a past venture and a defensive lineman.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: We kind of talk about all of those.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think that...
- 43:18[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what happens with the Alex single-ton front.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: They are still very much working towards it.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it seems like it'll be a surprise if they don't get it done.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_00]: That was the thing on Friday.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: I said that's what the first move I expected to make.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, there's something still going on and there's the why it's not done.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's there's enough interest in other teams that's kind of driving up as price.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's not one to budget too much.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's overstructuring.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_00]: Not sure.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: I would be surprised at all if we get a announcement of a running back.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be a little bit more surprised over a tight end, at least today, and maybe a defensive piece, either an other linebacker besides singleton, or a defensive alignment if singleton is the one that does get done.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it'll be interesting to see.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos, again, the moves they've made at least raise the floor and give them flexibility going forward, but set it on here.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: 100 times.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos, the biggest needle movers for the Broncos.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: This upcoming season are going to be players that we're already on this roster.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: So Eric's making a face as well.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get through it.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: But I really think that you know, you talk about the wider silver room getting better.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, it'd be good to make a trade.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think the DJ more trade kind of tanked that market to some extent.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: You should have been over the fourth
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: you want the wide receiver room to take step forward, wide receiver coach plus your two mid-round, our three mid-round picks, taking steps forward.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think you want the running room to be better this season.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, you're gonna bring in a running back too, but a huge part of that formula for better output this season is Harvey taking a step forward.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they're happy about him, and obviously they want more from him.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: that would be great.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: And as far as linebacker goes, I mean, it's not really somebody in the room young stepping up, but maybe it's straight green while you're too staying healthy, stepping forward, and just, you know, another year in the system.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see how it plays out, but again, the biggest thing as far as this team's improvements from last year to this year are going to be guys that were.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: already on this roster for the agency should be kind of filling in some of the gaps and weaknesses and then the draft should be about trying to find long-term building blocks that give you strategic advantage based on the positions that you take compared to where they are available in free agency and what they cost to get that quality of player in free agency.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so the face was that there's a panther's guy that said that they're
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: saying that the Panthers are looking at 25 million dollar deal for Devin Lloyd.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_02]: That makes no sense with it as you're eaver and but they got up front.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that's what the face was about but with it is just got to remember that it steps for Denver.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's has been with the exception of 2024 and quarterback and even then you can argue, well, they brought in Jared Stadium with that.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: They like to bring their own guys back to keep that floor, go to the free agency to stretch up to raise the ceiling and the draft is filling it out, improving the depth and giving them answers possible answers for year two, year three of their rookie contracts, which is why again, Sean Peyton and George Peyton have talked about repeatedly the three year window with the draft.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_00]: Um, sometimes it sinks.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: I know you want immediate impact.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, especially out of the draft, but Denver's taking is more of a wait and see.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, kind of approach with it and finding guys that, you know, just fill it out and step in when needed.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a process.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what Denver does over the next few days, next few weeks, to raise the ceiling of the steam to hopefully take the steam that made the AFC championship game and make them into possible, Super Bowl contenders.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just what their next move is.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's fine with those guys that can do that.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that is absolutely correct on that front.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_02]: So Eric, I'm going to make you put on your prediction hat here.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: The next move that we hear from the Broncos will be what?
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'll go first and just kind of cheat on this one.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm going to say Alex single ten gets done before the 12 PM gun today.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to go with it being a three year, $28 million contract.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an agreement, I think it's going to get done with in the next two and a half hours.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: And it's maybe not 28 million, but three years.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's not quite 24, so 22, 23 million.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_02]: That would be fine with me, that for the 30 million a little bit of, you know, a recoil at that a bit, but him coming back, that would be fine.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: And then the trickle down from that, are they keeping all, yeah, sorry, didn't even mean it.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: Would they be keeping all three linebackers, then, or would green mob be out?
- 48:19[SPEAKER_02]: I know everything that you've heard and mentioned on the show has been green mob being back.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, the ROI last season wasn't great, a little bit of loose can and some weirdness with the hamstring injury.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_02]: What do you be back, I guess.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: I felt that he would be, but there's been that talk, not only, you know, certain ad backs and I wanted to be a starter, there's been a lot of talk about that.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's kind of watched back those comments a little bit about wanting to run a back and be
- 48:53[SPEAKER_00]: But there has been enough comments of and reports of Synod Singleton new linebacker by by Green Law.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: That is why yesterday I tweeted out that Synod being back puts Green Law more under the microscope than Singleton Because they're still going to look at a single ten or no.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're still going to look at another linebacker and that puts Green Law on the outs.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: Green Law is a name to watch as a potential cut over the next few days.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: Am I a little bit too.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: Gritty and I hope that potentially it could be a trickle down.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: Again, sorry to use it downstream effect of the The draft and adding a line back here in the first four rounds that maybe then you're still holding on a green lot day three and you trade him for.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_02]: a six round pick, a seventh round pick.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just something to get assets back.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_02]: Give me a 20, 20, seven pick.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: I know that a lot of teams can get value from doing that.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if Denver necessarily will get good.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: contractual release from that, but rather than outright release him, just getting another asset to have in the room.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's a lot of value to do that for teams as well.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just just get in another pick in there, gives Denver something to maybe trade up to be aggressive with or trade it for a veteran themselves at some point.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm looking at both.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_02]: Well, depending on what Denver does with lineback or anti-dend today, maybe there's a market out there where we eat some of the cash Anyways, and move on from a Evan Ingram or a green law via a trade now again, we're talking Future seventh round pick future sixth round pick or maybe you know you get a sixth round pick this year and send a twenty twenty seven seven's back like not a lot but like Getting back anything if you are planning on moving on anyways is Better than nothing obviously
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's those options and it does seem like that they won't if depending on how things go.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't seem like they're at hold on to Green Law, part of that is for contract reasons, with some verb-e agent as to when money's being paid and stuff like that.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think the data is to watch his March 19th.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy with mistaken on that.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have the contract pulled up information, pulled up in front of me.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: Contaminated.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: Colliners, I remember the guarantees kick-in.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it went things kick-in.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I know it's sometime in March anyways,
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: So that's, that's kind of why it makes it a look with that, you hit that point, it makes it harder to trade him, and it makes it almost impossible to cut him.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I think he's going to be wanted to watch over the next few days, especially if they, you know, do get that free agent line back to to bring in, and then he mentioned the draft, even though they brought back
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: they still know they want they need to do something about this line back a room.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 51:51[SPEAKER_00]: That has probably been, in the conversations I've had with people, that has probably been the position talked about the most.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's been Synod, Singleton, Greenhot, or Afree agent, and draft in that somewhere in the top 100 banks.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they very much seem pretty focused, and they were asking, they were, they were doing a lot of work on the linebackers at the combine and asking around with Afree agents and stuff like that.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_00]: So linebackers seems to be a,
- 52:19[SPEAKER_00]: something to keep an eye out for like yeah and more in a major way.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah and as far as we got being a Broncos for breakfast cap there we go Todd we got one Eric needs one but no yeah the it'll be interesting to follow no doubt Eric and finally we've last four minutes here getting on out everything happening we're kind of getting an idea of the dust settling
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of the gang back together, which people are upset about because the Broncos don't necessarily improve on paper, so to speak, but again, you were a broken ankle away from being in the Super Bowl, and what's, I mean, it's the same thing as last year, Eric, we have a lot more of a known quantity at quarterback now, but like the question is, is the Broncos going to be a Super Bowl contending team this season?
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: This bone exploit like a consistent top 12, top 10 quarterback.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_02]: If your answer is yes, there,
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: We got some to talk about the other two things, and Sean Peyton hinted on it, and he's exactly right.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: Can the Broncos take the ball away?
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: Can they run the ball more effectively than they did last season?
- 53:22[SPEAKER_02]: Both are on a downer down efficiency, but also an explosiveness.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_02]: They got really weird air.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like game in the season, they were one of the most explosive run games in the season, but after week five, completely shat themselves.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, if that gets in trouble, but like they could not hit any explosives.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: After, I mean, that Titans game, they had like three or four,
- 53:40[SPEAKER_02]: horrific in the explosive run department, which is really important in today's NFL.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_02]: You got to be able to hit explosives.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: I honestly, Eric, this more of an offseason conversation, but like if you can't be explosive with your run game, there's almost no point at all.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: Some other news is we get on
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, we'll see, but the Ricky's back online right now, folks, shout out to Ricky, but he tweeted out that Hendrickson going to Dallas most likely.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that was, that news broke a couple of weeks or a couple days ago when it was reported Dallas's out of max cry, but it says that they're expecting to get a deal that will tend to.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: And just a little bit more to it now as well with the news happening today.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: Eric, I wanted to ask you that long.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: The diet tribe I had, I guess.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_02]: But, uh, Brock has fallen out of bunch of spots.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: On the roster run in the game, uh, keeping the gang together for the most part other than JFM.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, if you had to guess the position Denver takes with their first pick and the player, uh, Denver takes at their first pick.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_02]: Right now.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I want to say, make if it's Patrick was just traded from the Dolphins to the jets.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: And this comes just after I saw Dianne and Rucini talk about how there's a going to be a handful of trades over the next couple next to an half hours.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then I saw another NFL reporter mentioned that they're expecting three to six trades to get filed over the next few hours.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_00]: Denver was linked with his said been one to watch and it's said that Denver's back to work on getting that singleton deal done this morning.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see on that.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: As for a position, it'll probably be one of the positions on the football field and probably one of the players in this draft.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_00]: They can get.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: There isn't any way that you can go with that right now because there's still so many ways that can go.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: I just want you to call your shots so we can find the episode when they get it right.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_00]: I did a player at a position.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, I'm going to just call a shot and I'll say CJ Allen falling there Denver looking to upgrade the room, turn it over and he seems to be athletic enough dynamic enough smart enough that there is obviously going to be some coverage ability, but a glass eater up front that handle a lot for that team and it picked 30 overall not a linebacker.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: God, rather, you know, get a defensive lineman or a wide receiver.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_02]: Ideally, at that spot, I'm going to tell you what I'm saying.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: This is what you guys paid for.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_02]: Way to go into detail, Eric.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: But right now, I'll go CJ Allen.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm hoping for a defensive lineman or a wide receiver, though.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: my detail is in the fact that it's, there's so many ways they can go right now.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_00]: In viable directions.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: They know it.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then again, viable directions, as you just said, and they know it and they're doing a lot of work on it on a lot of different positions.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_00]: Linebacker very well could be it.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_00]: And if it is at 30, I would probably say that's going to would be CJ Allen.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: If he's available, but it also depends on how the board falls.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: And when you get to 30,
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: After the first 15 picks, it's, you're throwing dart boards, and darts at a dart board basically trying to figure who can go where, and we're Denver didn't expect barren to be at 20.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, I think it was Bomber who talked about this, that they didn't run a single mock draft prior up to it that they do where they had him there at 20.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's been widely reported that the Eagles last year did have the same situation happen with Jihad Campbell.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_00]: Tambay Buccaneers through a lot of things in the works there because they were still linked heavily to Jod Campbell that that's just kind of where people had them go in.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_00]: So it's tough.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: Mindbacker three-year window again being talked about offensive blind is very much up there defensive line safety like those are probably if I had on there down to four positions offensive line defensive line safety or a line
- 57:51[SPEAKER_02]: not wide receiver, you're completely, but wide receiver.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_00]: And if our wide receiver looked for the best route runners somewhere in Round 2, Round 3.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_02]: All right, well, hopefully they aren't just a slot guy.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_02]: If that's the case, because we got enough small players.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's a big.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll see what happens there.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_00]: And got some other news that Denver's also we're working to resign B.J.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_00]: Lock.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he was bills bills bound, but we'll see what happens here more news today.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, fun.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: I know that Denver's people want Denver to make the big move.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's just I don't know if the path is there for the big move without it being detrimental to the team.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're Sean Gary being traded to the Dallas Cowboys.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: No, but does that mean Tray Henderson doesn't happen?
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: Are you stacking them?
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they need to see.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're stacking them with how bad that defensive front was, especially out the edge.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're stacking.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's a, I hate to be that person, Eric, but Cowboys are interesting just because their offense is so good.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_02]: If they can get a top 15 defense, that's a team that is going to be very interesting.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll follow it.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be a lot of fun for this team this season and a lot of news today.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully enjoy and happy for the players get in the money.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: like we always say it's billionaires paying millionaires.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_02]: So happy when those guys can that are actually putting their bodies and health and longevity and a lot of the physical
- 59:22[SPEAKER_02]: detrimental work that's required to play on the NFL for the long-term health to get rewarded for that.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_02]: So shout out to the players and I won't shout out to agents just to think it's like kind of annoying me.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: Just see Adam Shepter just to be other day.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was like shout out we got the deal done and FCC agency.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's like yeah, we didn't need to toss out the agency too, chef.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you don't you don't have to.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's marketing, man.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_02]: You can keep that stuff below the table, you know, like if if.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_02]: take that out of any way you want.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_02]: But appreciate everyone.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get on out of here again.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what the Broncos do today, running back a lot, but this was a very good team last season, and then obviously the formula has worked.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe it won't be the most exciting, but keep your heart and mind open.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: That maybe it moved, happens today that does surprise you.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_02]: Last year, the Broncos, we all knew they needed linebacker, tight end and safety.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_02]: We talked a lot of safety to Denver, Eric.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_02]: A phonga caught me, very off guard.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: For what they did, and obviously it was the best signing and then like hindsight is like, oh yeah, duh.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_02]: just kind of where they were playing their positions.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_02]: I was a little bit surprised about HaFonga.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe they'll be a surprise today.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, that's one thing that I talked about on Friday, both the morning show and the evening show is Denver.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_00]: Over the last few years, they haven't got to work on their own guys and tell typically Sunday.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_00]: And then when Monday comes and the tampering period is goes on, we start to really do see their interests and other guys in last year.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, a lot of guys that they were wanting.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_00]: end up going elsewhere or being resigned with their current team and that caused them to pivot and pivot and pivot and pivot and some it worked out with Funga didn't work out with green law but hey 50% on the two those two free agents you take that obviously you know it's 33% with when you throw an ingram that is still a number a lot of teams would take if you're hitting on even one out of three free agent signings obviously you want 100% but
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Todd said I'm disappointing him today.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, Todd, it's just, uh, sometimes, you know, the big move went, uh, makers on the first day for agency are the team to see pick in on the top 10 other draft, you know, commanders and titans today.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's tossing money around to toss money around Denver's not necessarily in the position where they have to do that.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_02]: in order to raise the floor of the team to be serviceable and develop people around them.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_02]: You are in the either all-in kind of move, which I still think is on the table at 30 overall and maybe even another, you know, a couple big picks, but also supplementing the core that you already have here.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think there are many,
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_02]: core building block pieces that are gonna be available to you.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: The best pathway forward for that is draft, develop, retain.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_02]: Just as always been, but I think it's even more important with where a free agency is at today.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_02]: So Eric, a lot of fun today.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously nothing too exciting, but the roster gets a little bit more in shape.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm very happy about the Strannad move, Troutman, again, I wish it was,
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_02]: 70% of that contract, but you know, it is what it is also could use without them blowing, you know, what are you know, what's about being one of the best-plucking tight ends, call me Dragon Slayer 69.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care, tape was not great this season, but still a usable player, all the same.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what today brings.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_02]: Final thoughts, Eric.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, they just wanted it.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to build off of what they did last year, and that's really much really their goal.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they're bringing these guys back.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_00]: The trouble and deal is bothersome, but again, I'm more bothered about the hype being up as a blogger.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting, and the gas lighting that's going on over that, but I get it, I get why they want to bring single Tim back, even though I'm not, you know, the most happy guy with that move, but I get it.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_00]: They want to keep the band back together that they really do feel like they were an injury away from making a Super Bowl.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_00]: They want to keep that together and then they want to build off of that.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a turret down and rebuild or try something new.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_00]: Stick with what this that is quote, build off this that is quote.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_02]: Keep that energy.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_02]: All right guys, well, we will see you
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_02]: Friday morning.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_02]: I was going to say Wednesday morning, but that's with Scott covering falcons.
