- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on. Do your thing, big daddy. Uh-huh. I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. Y'all listening to The Voice. Come on,
- 0:09Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey. Got a
- 0:12Speaker 1: radio show. You know, I think I ought to explain
- 0:15Speaker 1: something to y'all. You know, when I wake up in
- 0:17Speaker 1: the morning and I say, dig me now. What I'm
- 0:21Speaker 1: asking you to do is just old school, you know, man.
- 0:24Speaker 1: You know, you see old people say, I dig, you know, dah, dah, dah.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Never stop saying it. I'm sorry. But dig me now.
- 0:31Speaker 1: It's just I want you to I want you to
- 0:34Speaker 1: really feel me. I want you to understand what I'm saying,
- 0:36Speaker 1: because really, this morning inspiration is all given in the
- 0:41Speaker 1: spirit of sharing and love. It ain't about to expose
- 0:44Speaker 1: me in any way. That's not the purpose of it.
- 0:47Speaker 1: But I found that in my morning inspiration, that is
- 0:51Speaker 1: best that I use some things about myself, because I mean,
- 0:54Speaker 1: what better example can I use? Because I know me.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I know what's happened to me. I know exactly how
- 1:00Speaker 1: I felt all along the way concerning almost everything, every
- 1:04Speaker 1: aspect of my life. I now fully do really understand
- 1:08Speaker 1: why God had my life spin the way it spun.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And here's a part that I want to give to
- 1:14Speaker 1: you this morning. That first of all, whatever position you
- 1:18Speaker 1: find yourself in today, we kind of come to one
- 1:21Speaker 1: realization that we got ourselves there. We put ourselves there
- 1:25Speaker 1: by a series of thoughts and actions. thoughts turn into things.
- 1:32Speaker 1: That's very important to know. So let's look at both
- 1:35Speaker 1: sides of it. For people who think negative thoughts, it
- 1:41Speaker 1: turns into negative things. And the direct opposite is true
- 1:46Speaker 1: for those who think positive thoughts. It turns into positive things.
- 1:53Speaker 1: That's the deal. It's as simple as that, folks. I
- 1:58Speaker 1: cannot break it down any cleaner. I cannot make it
- 2:02Speaker 1: any clearer. Thoughts become things. So the one glaring question
- 2:10Speaker 1: for all of us always is on a daily basis.
- 2:13Speaker 1: What are you thinking? What are your thoughts? What are
- 2:17Speaker 1: you thinking? What are your thoughts? Because I can assure you,
- 2:23Speaker 1: and it's not by a promise of mine. This is
- 2:27Speaker 1: not a theory that Steve Harvey then came up with.
- 2:30Speaker 1: This is a fact of life. This is biblical. This
- 2:35Speaker 1: is spiritual. This is written. This is philosophical. This is
- 2:40Speaker 1: the law of the universe. However, you need to drink
- 2:43Speaker 1: this medicine to take to get it down and feel
- 2:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying to you. This is just the way
- 2:50Speaker 1: it is now. And here the cold part, folks, it
- 2:53Speaker 1: don't matter if you believe me or not. It does
- 2:57Speaker 1: not matter. If you have never been explained this or not,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and it does not matter if you think it works
- 3:06Speaker 1: in your life or not, it don't matter. Listen to me.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It is the way it is. It is a scriptural.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It is a spiritual. It is philosophical. It is just
- 3:18Speaker 1: whatever the law of the universe you call whatever you want. However,
- 3:21Speaker 1: you got to dress this thing up properly. to put
- 3:24Speaker 1: it in the phase that you can feel me. I
- 3:27Speaker 1: want you to feel me now because this all it is.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So when I say that you are where we are today,
- 3:34Speaker 1: because we thought ourselves here, or you best to believe
- 3:37Speaker 1: that's true. You thought yourself here. No one else. See,
- 3:42Speaker 1: let me explain something. I got people around me who
- 3:46Speaker 1: so badly want to take credit for it, but I
- 3:49Speaker 1: don't allow it because I keep pointing out. To the heavens.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I keep pointing and trying to say it out loud
- 3:59Speaker 1: as many times as I can without being so offensive
- 4:03Speaker 1: that my life is by design, by grace and mercy,
- 4:08Speaker 1: by blessings from God. My life is because God has
- 4:12Speaker 1: seen it to be so. Oh, but I got plenty
- 4:15Speaker 1: of people around me want credit for it and want
- 4:17Speaker 1: you to not give credit to God and give it
- 4:20Speaker 1: to them. I got that. I got that. But I
- 4:23Speaker 1: understand that. See, I understand what that is. That's a
- 4:27Speaker 1: person whose design is to get the credit. But it's OK.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It's so clear to me what my father was saying
- 4:35Speaker 1: to me, man. I get it as I get older
- 4:37Speaker 1: and older. He always said to me, son, everybody come
- 4:40Speaker 1: with you. Can't go with you. See, you know, I
- 4:45Speaker 1: don't know how people say it in church. You know,
- 4:47Speaker 1: sometimes they go up. People come into your life for seasons,
- 4:50Speaker 1: and I guess that's the same thing. You know, they
- 4:52Speaker 1: season up, they gone. Well, you know, and then, but
- 4:55Speaker 1: then here's the way they try to hold you, though. Oh,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you going to forget where you come from? Oh, you
- 5:01Speaker 1: ain't going to keep it real no more? I don't
- 5:05Speaker 1: want to go back where I come from. I don't
- 5:07Speaker 1: want to keep it that real no more. It was
- 5:10Speaker 1: real enough for me living in a car. I had
- 5:12Speaker 1: enough of that real life. Oh, keep it real. No,
- 5:15Speaker 1: keep it real. I want to go keep it dreamy.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I want to go keep it fantasize it. I want,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I want to, I want to keep it out of
- 5:22Speaker 1: this world. I want to keep it off the chain.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I want to keep it moving. I want to keep
- 5:26Speaker 1: it ball. And I want to see what that's like.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So now I ain't going to forget why I come from,
- 5:31Speaker 1: but you ain't going to hold me to that. Don't
- 5:33Speaker 1: see thoughts become things all day long. Where's your vision board?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Where are the things that you want written down? What
- 5:45Speaker 1: do you think about the most? How grateful are you
- 5:48Speaker 1: for what all God has done for you? Where you
- 5:51Speaker 1: at with that? See here, here, another law. If thoughts
- 5:57Speaker 1: become things, let me ask you this. If all you
- 6:02Speaker 1: thinking about is your debt, If all you thinking about
- 6:05Speaker 1: is what you ain't got, if all you thinking about is, oh,
- 6:10Speaker 1: woe is me. If all you thinking about is every
- 6:12Speaker 1: time I turn around, I'm sick. If all you thinking
- 6:15Speaker 1: about is the things in life that you're lacking. If
- 6:21Speaker 1: that's all you thinking about. And if thoughts become things.
- 6:28Speaker 1: How much debt you think you're going to stay in?
- 6:31Speaker 1: How much lacking you think you're fitting to fill your
- 6:34Speaker 1: life with? How much more stuff you're fitting to not have?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Because you keep thinking about it all the time. When
- 6:44Speaker 1: you're going to be grateful? When you're going to say
- 6:47Speaker 1: thank you? When it's going to come out your mouth, man,
- 6:51Speaker 1: that I I may not be where I want to be,
- 6:53Speaker 1: but I sure am grateful for what you've given me
- 6:57Speaker 1: so far, for the things I have today, because I
- 7:00Speaker 1: don't have to have these things. You know what that does?
- 7:03Speaker 1: That then opens up room for more stuff to come
- 7:06Speaker 1: your way to be grateful for. But if you're going
- 7:09Speaker 1: to be ungrateful, oh man, let me ask you something.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I ain't God. I don't claim to be, but let
- 7:15Speaker 1: me ask you something, man. If you're ungrateful for the
- 7:18Speaker 1: things we've got, if we can't show no gratitude for
- 7:21Speaker 1: what we have, why would God give us some more
- 7:25Speaker 1: stuff to be ungrateful for? Why would he do that for? Ta-da!
- 7:31Speaker 1: Anybody feel me right now? So when I say, come on, y'all,
- 7:34Speaker 1: dig me now. Do you understand why I say dig me?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Because I want you to feel me. I want you
- 7:39Speaker 1: to understand and come to the understanding. I'm not saying
- 7:41Speaker 1: you ain't because there's so many people got a deeper
- 7:44Speaker 1: understanding than me about this whole thing. I promise you
- 7:46Speaker 1: they do. But listen to me. I'm just trying to
- 7:49Speaker 1: get you to walk up in this light, man, so
- 7:51Speaker 1: you can go on with your life and quit tripping
- 7:53Speaker 1: yourself out with your thoughts because thoughts become things. All right,
- 7:57Speaker 1: all day. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
