- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Almost Sayings podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Today it is me and Leanne May from the Secret
- 0:12Speaker 3: Lives of Mormon Wives. She is Taylor Frankie Paul, our
- 0:15Speaker 3: new bachelorette's mom. So we're going to get all the
- 0:19Speaker 3: insight as to what we can expect from our new
- 0:22Speaker 3: lead from her.
- 0:24Speaker 2: We're so excited. Thank you. Welcome Leanne May to the podcast.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Hi, thank you for having me.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Thank you so much for being here.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So I heard that you guys used to watch Bachelor,
- 0:36Speaker 3: but it's been a while. Did was this something that
- 0:39Speaker 3: you guys did as a mother daughter thing?
- 0:41Speaker 4: Actually no, I don't think we ever watched it together,
- 0:44Speaker 4: but we didn't discuss it like a few times. But yeah, no,
- 0:49Speaker 4: we never watched it together.
- 0:51Speaker 2: When was the last time you watched regularly?
- 0:55Speaker 4: Probby the Colton season? What season was that?
- 0:58Speaker 3: Like, Oh, I don't know what that was, but that
- 1:01Speaker 3: was towards you know, that was a great era and
- 1:04Speaker 3: you know, like that's kind of when a lot of
- 1:06Speaker 3: people started falling off after say, Hannah Brown season. Huh,
- 1:10Speaker 3: Hannah season was so great, but then like the COVID
- 1:12Speaker 3: hit and then Matt James nobody knew who he was.
- 1:16Speaker 3: He was fresh, you know, a fresh pick. I just
- 1:19Speaker 3: feel like that's when it started to sure turn a
- 1:23Speaker 3: little bit.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Yeah, now we we. I watched it your season. I
- 1:28Speaker 4: watched it like, uh ben Nick, you know, so those
- 1:33Speaker 4: are like the seasons I used to watch. So I'm
- 1:35Speaker 4: excited to watch it again, and obviously with my daughter
- 1:39Speaker 4: being on it, I'm excited to watch her.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Like, is this the most wild thing in the entire world?
- 1:45Speaker 3: Your daughter is the bachelorette?
- 1:46Speaker 4: I know, yes, I'm so excited for her. She actually
- 1:50Speaker 4: gets to go date, which is going to be so
- 1:52Speaker 4: nice for her, just because she really hasn't dated, you know,
- 1:56Speaker 4: like multiple people at multiple times.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah, how do you think she is going to deal
- 2:04Speaker 3: with dating, say, thirty men at once.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I don't know, but I would love it, so I
- 2:08Speaker 4: would hope that she would. I got married really young, too,
- 2:13Speaker 4: so I'm excited for her. So I'm just like, she
- 2:17Speaker 4: kind of got married like younger for like I guess
- 2:20Speaker 4: in our world it's she was like an average age.
- 2:24Speaker 4: But so in the Mormon religion, people get married like
- 2:27Speaker 4: right out of high school. Yeah, right out of college.
- 2:31Speaker 4: You know or during college.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So yeah, so.
- 2:34Speaker 3: You guys, you know I will be fully transparent. I've
- 2:38Speaker 3: only seen two episodes of Secret Lives I am. I'm
- 2:42Speaker 3: going to complete though the entire now it'll be soon
- 2:46Speaker 3: three seasons before Taylor's reign as Bachelorette, and I am
- 2:50Speaker 3: enjoying it.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I just started like two days ago.
- 2:53Speaker 3: This is like my my bachelor slash like pop culture homework.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:58Speaker 3: The thing is from what I've seen and what I've
- 3:00Speaker 3: heard from future episodes that I haven't seen yet, is
- 3:04Speaker 3: that you guys have you have a very close relationship,
- 3:07Speaker 3: but like you have your ups and downs and you're
- 3:09Speaker 3: definitely not sure about like her man Picker.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Oh, she's not a good man. Picker isn't.
- 3:17Speaker 3: So what kind of guys do you hope that ABC
- 3:21Speaker 3: has cast for her?
- 3:22Speaker 4: Well? I have talked to the casting director oh all
- 3:27Speaker 4: the time. I mean we're on the phone all the time.
- 3:30Speaker 4: She's probably thinks I'm crazy, but and I might be
- 3:34Speaker 4: a little bit every now and then, But I just
- 3:38Speaker 4: want somebody who's like that believes in God kind of
- 3:42Speaker 4: you know, like believes in God or has some kind
- 3:44Speaker 4: of like belief other than you know, something like higher power.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Okay, So it does not need to be more.
- 3:51Speaker 4: It doesn't have to be Mormon. No, I mean, obviously
- 3:54Speaker 4: I would like that, but it's not. That's not something
- 3:57Speaker 4: I guess. There's so many great people that aren't Mormon.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Like my father wasn't an LDS guy, and he couldver
- 4:05Speaker 4: like years later, but he was a great guy and
- 4:07Speaker 4: so and probably one of the best people. You know.
- 4:10Speaker 4: So a lot of the people that I meet are
- 4:12Speaker 4: outside the religion. So she's like, I'm down to go,
- 4:15Speaker 4: you know, go to some other religion or whatever, or
- 4:19Speaker 4: just just a good guy. Just somebody who's like, obviously
- 4:23Speaker 4: you still want him to be like decent looking, you know,
- 4:25Speaker 4: because you want that as a feel and I'm sure
- 4:28Speaker 4: she does too, but just somebody who's like really humble
- 4:32Speaker 4: and caring and puts her like in front of them.
- 4:37Speaker 4: And her husband was her first husband was like that,
- 4:40Speaker 4: So I guess she did pick someone, you know, good,
- 4:44Speaker 4: But yes, I think she gets she gets bored, so
- 4:48Speaker 4: that's the thing. It's just like, and then she meets Dakota,
- 4:51Speaker 4: who's just this crazy they're just chaotic, just toxic relationship.
- 4:57Speaker 4: So but those are the kind of guys she like,
- 5:00Speaker 4: really like, so I don't know, we'll see.
- 5:03Speaker 3: We need somebody who's going to keep her attention for
- 5:05Speaker 3: a long time. I have to ask, because just watching
- 5:08Speaker 3: the first two episodes.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yeah, why.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Do I feel like she just like had no care
- 5:16Speaker 3: in getting pregnant? Like it was like did she Yes?
- 5:19Speaker 3: It was like she was just like, oh, yeah, if
- 5:21Speaker 3: it happens, it happens, and she just it was almost
- 5:24Speaker 3: like she secretly kind of wanted to get pregnant out
- 5:27Speaker 3: of Woodlock.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Oh absolutely, like yes. I mean I got so much
- 5:33Speaker 4: crap for like just saying that that was stupid, you
- 5:37Speaker 4: know that word like calling, but I got so much
- 5:40Speaker 4: hate from it. But it was like they don't know
- 5:44Speaker 4: the history, they don't know what's going on, and so
- 5:46Speaker 4: when I said that, it's just like you barely know
- 5:48Speaker 4: this guy and you want to get pregnant. And now
- 5:51Speaker 4: she was pregnant.
- 5:52Speaker 2: But that's all was so weird about it, is.
- 5:54Speaker 3: That like she definitely didn't feel secure in that relationship.
- 5:59Speaker 4: She did.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I didn't even think it was I don't think she
- 6:01Speaker 3: thought it was going to be long term. But she
- 6:03Speaker 3: was just like, yeah, if I get pregnant, I get pregnant. Yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 3: so I guess like she just loves having children. Yeah, oh,
- 6:08Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:09Speaker 4: She's a great mom, that's for sure. And she doesn't
- 6:11Speaker 4: mind having obviously kids because she still wants more kids.
- 6:14Speaker 4: And I'm just like, you want another you know, another
- 6:17Speaker 4: baby daddy, But she's she does.
- 6:22Speaker 2: All right, so another baby daddy? Are we thinking?
- 6:25Speaker 3: Like, if you between you and the casting director, do
- 6:28Speaker 3: you want him, her possible fiance after all this, to
- 6:32Speaker 3: have kids or not have kids?
- 6:35Speaker 4: You know, it really doesn't matter. I think that he
- 6:37Speaker 4: can relate more if he does have kids, just you know,
- 6:42Speaker 4: you know, if he has kids, he already knows how
- 6:44Speaker 4: it works and what the plan is, and maybe possibly
- 6:48Speaker 4: he would want another kid, you know. But I really
- 6:51Speaker 4: want her to be like very sick here and know
- 6:54Speaker 4: what she really wants this time. I just hope she
- 6:57Speaker 4: doesn't keep repeating that's toxic. I don't know, mess of
- 7:03Speaker 4: her life.
- 7:04Speaker 2: We all hope.
- 7:05Speaker 3: So we also, I feel like she's grown a lot
- 7:08Speaker 3: since the first season of Secret Lives as well.
- 7:11Speaker 4: She has, Yes, she is getting better. She's had a
- 7:14Speaker 4: lot of therapy. She's just gone through so much. Her
- 7:18Speaker 4: life has just been such a mess for the last
- 7:20Speaker 4: few years, and so now I think that's probably why
- 7:24Speaker 4: she got pregnant. She's like, well, what's one more kid?
- 7:27Speaker 4: What's the big deal? You know, Like, but then she
- 7:30Speaker 4: doesn't think about it long term, and so I'm hoping
- 7:33Speaker 4: she goes in and really like find somebody that's great.
- 7:38Speaker 4: But then you don't have that much time, right Ashley,
- 7:41Speaker 4: because you're just in there for so many weeks, and
- 7:44Speaker 4: it's like, is that really possible?
- 7:46Speaker 3: I always think that the main show is harder to
- 7:49Speaker 3: find somebody than Paradise because it's just eight weeks and
- 7:54Speaker 3: you have such little quality time with these people, whereas
- 7:58Speaker 3: like in Paradise it is a shorter amount of time,
- 8:00Speaker 3: it's like three weeks, wow, but you're spending day after
- 8:04Speaker 3: day with the person that you're dating, like twenty four
- 8:07Speaker 3: to seven, So it is different. But we are wishing
- 8:09Speaker 3: her luck and I'm so curious, how are they going
- 8:12Speaker 3: to film this season? Because the only other single mom
- 8:16Speaker 3: Bachelorette that we've had, Emily Maynard, they actually worked with
- 8:20Speaker 3: her and filmed in her hometown in North Carolina. They
- 8:25Speaker 3: never filmed in California. What is the plan with Taylor?
- 8:29Speaker 4: She'll be in California, so that will film a couple
- 8:32Speaker 4: weeks there. I think they'll be some I'm thinking a
- 8:38Speaker 4: couple weeks here is the plan, but I don't know.
- 8:41Speaker 4: And then I don't know where the others.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Okay sitting, So a little bit of both.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Yes, uh huh. And so her son will be with
- 8:47Speaker 4: her majority of.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Time, the oldest one or the youngest one the baby.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Yeah, so the other kids are in school, so that's
- 8:54Speaker 4: just not going to be realistic. And so, but yeah,
- 8:58Speaker 4: they are going to allow her to see her kids.
- 9:01Speaker 4: That was a stipulation for her to go on. And
- 9:04Speaker 4: then the baby will be with her some of them,
- 9:07Speaker 4: like some of the time.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Will there be a nanny with her or will you
- 9:11Speaker 2: be with her?
- 9:12Speaker 4: Yeah, so a nanny and myself will be like traveling
- 9:16Speaker 4: back and forth. But we're kind of just trying to
- 9:18Speaker 4: see how it's gonna all work out. And so at
- 9:21Speaker 4: least the baby can see her every now and then
- 9:25Speaker 4: at least, you know, so that's the plan.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Will the baby's fathered Dakota be around.
- 9:31Speaker 4: I'm hoping not. I said that he will mess the
- 9:34Speaker 4: whole thing up for her, like he will sabotage her
- 9:37Speaker 4: whole experience, and so I'm just like, if you can
- 9:41Speaker 4: just keep him away for at least those weeks, there
- 9:44Speaker 4: might be some like hope of her like focusing in
- 9:48Speaker 4: on this, this whole process of dans.
- 9:52Speaker 2: How do you think he would sabotage?
- 9:54Speaker 4: I don't know. I just think, well, I guess if
- 9:57Speaker 4: she can't have contact with him, he might not be
- 10:00Speaker 4: able to. But if he was to, he wanted to.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Be there, he wanted to be there with the baby.
- 10:04Speaker 4: Yes, And so I'm just like, no, like that will
- 10:08Speaker 4: not be good just because she will not be able
- 10:10Speaker 4: to enjoy her time there, and it just wouldn't be good.
- 10:14Speaker 4: I think that never be a disadvantage if she was
- 10:17Speaker 4: to do.
- 10:17Speaker 2: That, perhaps like a distraction for her.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Oh, very distracting, yes.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Because is there still like I know that they I
- 10:26Speaker 3: know that they have had a relationship in which, like
- 10:30Speaker 3: they're still obviously seeing each other a lot because of
- 10:34Speaker 3: the baby.
- 10:35Speaker 2: But isn't there a lot of love still there?
- 10:38Speaker 3: Oh?
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 10:39Speaker 4: She she so loves him and I believe that he
- 10:42Speaker 4: truly loves her. And you'll actually I can't talk about it,
- 10:47Speaker 4: but in the season three you'll you'll see a lot
- 10:50Speaker 4: that went on with him that came out and just
- 10:54Speaker 4: it was not good. And so it made all of
- 10:57Speaker 4: us just, oh my god. I don't know, it's just shocking.
- 11:00Speaker 3: But yes, well, now that's an ABC Hulu relationship here.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Obviously that's one of the reasons that they cast her.
- 11:16Speaker 3: It makes a lot of sense business wise. It also
- 11:20Speaker 3: from a producer's perspective, makes a lot of sense for
- 11:24Speaker 3: Dakota to pop in a bit because it's gonna make
- 11:27Speaker 3: things sloppy.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Do you think that they're gonna involve in the storyline.
- 11:31Speaker 4: No, if so, they haven't told me about it, and
- 11:34Speaker 4: they probably won't because they know.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Like probably not.
- 11:38Speaker 4: They know how I feel, you know, about that whole relationship,
- 11:42Speaker 4: and so they probably are not gonna tell me. So
- 11:45Speaker 4: if so, I will be shocked to what I see it.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Oh, you're gonna be like no, no, no, You'll be
- 11:50Speaker 2: there and you'll be like pushing it away.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Yes. Yes.
- 11:53Speaker 3: What was his initial reaction when he found out she
- 11:55Speaker 3: was a bachelorette.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I guess he was pretty shocked. And I think he's
- 12:00Speaker 4: and like, don't I think he doesn't want her to
- 12:02Speaker 4: go on it. I know he's done videos saying that,
- 12:05Speaker 4: you know, let's like otherwise, But I think that he
- 12:09Speaker 4: doesn't want her to go on it. Obviously he still
- 12:11Speaker 4: loves her. I just don't feel like he loved her
- 12:15Speaker 4: enough or at least I mean, he wouldn't have done
- 12:18Speaker 4: the things that he did, so I don't know, but yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 4: I really I was rooting for him actually, you.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Know, yeah, yeah you would.
- 12:26Speaker 4: I didn't like him at first, and then I grew
- 12:28Speaker 4: to like him because he's one of those guys that
- 12:31Speaker 4: you just like. He has that charisma, he's a good
- 12:34Speaker 4: looking guy. He's just he's kind of manly, you know,
- 12:38Speaker 4: he came from a farm. He's just like I don't know.
- 12:42Speaker 4: I didn't like him at first, and then I grew
- 12:44Speaker 4: to I just gave him a chance, and then he
- 12:46Speaker 4: just proved me right. So I'm just like, oh, man,
- 12:50Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I get it. I totally get it. I have my
- 12:54Speaker 2: sister's boyfriends.
- 12:55Speaker 3: There's been people that I definitely didn't like and then
- 12:58Speaker 3: I evolved to love them over time. And it's like
- 13:00Speaker 3: crazy where you look back and you're just like, wow,
- 13:02Speaker 3: I can't believe I used to think of you like.
- 13:04Speaker 2: This, and now I think of you like that.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Anyway, So I just need to talk a little bit
- 13:09Speaker 3: more about what you're talking about. With casting director conversations
- 13:14Speaker 3: like this is so interesting to me that you've even
- 13:17Speaker 3: had a hand in this.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Have they showed you pictures?
- 13:19Speaker 4: No, they haven't. They haven't showed me anything. But I
- 13:23Speaker 4: send them guys that I would like her to be
- 13:26Speaker 4: said up.
- 13:27Speaker 2: For through what, like guys that you find on Instagram.
- 13:30Speaker 4: No, one's like yeah, Instagram TikTok, my gosh.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I wonder if they will like take your advice and
- 13:37Speaker 3: find these guys, Like are you searching for them or
- 13:39Speaker 3: are they coming into your dms and saying like I
- 13:41Speaker 3: would love to date Taylor.
- 13:42Speaker 4: No, they haven't come into my dms at all, but
- 13:45Speaker 4: I have just I just know her type. But I'm
- 13:48Speaker 4: trying to like weed amount to like they look somewhat decent,
- 13:52Speaker 4: you know. Obviously some of them that have I just
- 13:55Speaker 4: know those guys that are just like good looking in
- 13:57Speaker 4: their body and they're always showing it. I'm just like you, No,
- 13:59Speaker 4: you're not, you know kind of guy. But yes, I
- 14:03Speaker 4: send him to one of the casting directors. I mean,
- 14:06Speaker 4: they have like a couple of them because the show
- 14:09Speaker 4: is like, yeah, I think it's going to be so good.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I think their ratings are going to be so high.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Seriously.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I'm hoping they're the highest, of course, because I'm the.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Mom, right, so the high isn't quite some time.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, and so I'm excited for it. So I
- 14:24Speaker 4: don't know, we'll see.
- 14:26Speaker 3: So, speaking of that, what's the reaction been. We know
- 14:31Speaker 3: that it's been mixed. There's a lot of old school
- 14:34Speaker 3: Bachelor fans that have been like, oh, we want people
- 14:38Speaker 3: to be picked from the franchise. Then there's some people
- 14:41Speaker 3: who don't love the fact that there's like sort of
- 14:44Speaker 3: a double standard, you know.
- 14:45Speaker 2: We her the assault, yes, was all over the show yea.
- 14:50Speaker 3: And a lot of people say that if it were
- 14:51Speaker 3: a guy with that past, he would never have been cast.
- 14:56Speaker 2: What what have you and Taylor dealt with over the
- 14:59Speaker 2: past month or so? Emotionally?
- 15:02Speaker 4: It hasn't been that I guess that bad for like
- 15:06Speaker 4: when all of that happened to was it over two
- 15:10Speaker 4: years ago? Yeah, it was really really messy, and I
- 15:15Speaker 4: had so many people come into my dms and just
- 15:18Speaker 4: so much stuff happened. I haven't felt like the hate.
- 15:22Speaker 4: I've seen it online like when I'm wreaking comments, but
- 15:24Speaker 4: they haven't come to me directly this time. Obviously, nobody
- 15:30Speaker 4: was there at that time, they don't know like the
- 15:33Speaker 4: true story. Like I used to even believe like everything
- 15:35Speaker 4: the news had, and you know, there's just so much
- 15:39Speaker 4: that's so not like a lot of lies, like with
- 15:43Speaker 4: even police and with the news, they don't portray everything
- 15:47Speaker 4: that's correct and so and then they make it out
- 15:50Speaker 4: to be like way worse than it really is. Like
- 15:52Speaker 4: she didn't ever like her, her kids were never like
- 15:56Speaker 4: her or anything like that. How like them said just
- 15:59Speaker 4: just like certain things like you know we I mean,
- 16:03Speaker 4: people don't know like yeah, they're like half of the
- 16:06Speaker 4: stuff that really happened. They don't ever go and like
- 16:09Speaker 4: retrack you know, journalism, I guess, and it's just it's
- 16:13Speaker 4: not as real as people think that it is. And
- 16:16Speaker 4: so I kind of like learned a lot throughout that
- 16:18Speaker 4: process with like the whole criminal because I never have
- 16:22Speaker 4: experienced anybody ever going to jail, and my own daughter,
- 16:25Speaker 4: like going to jail was like huge for me, so
- 16:29Speaker 4: and just it was emotional and we just yeah, we
- 16:33Speaker 4: got through it, and I'm just glad that, uh, that
- 16:37Speaker 4: they're giving her that chance, because I do think that people,
- 16:40Speaker 4: great people make mistakes and obviously you know she I mean,
- 16:46Speaker 4: if there wasn't a gun or like weapon or stuff involved. Like,
- 16:49Speaker 4: I think they just took it overboard just because of
- 16:53Speaker 4: she already had millions of followers before you know, all
- 16:56Speaker 4: this happened when she got arrested, And I think that's
- 16:59Speaker 4: why they, like, you know, she was an influencer here
- 17:01Speaker 4: in Utah and they just took it to the extreme.
- 17:05Speaker 4: I mean, I've talked to plenty of people and even
- 17:09Speaker 4: some judges that have said, like, most people don't get that,
- 17:14Speaker 4: like they usually get like a slap on the wrist,
- 17:17Speaker 4: but since she was an influencer, like, they took it
- 17:20Speaker 4: to I guess like the worst that anybody can possibly get.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I don't know.
- 17:27Speaker 3: So would you say the reaction when you guys did
- 17:31Speaker 3: announce that she was going to be a bachelorette?
- 17:33Speaker 2: Was it positive? Was it mostly positive?
- 17:34Speaker 3: Did she have a good day that day or was
- 17:36Speaker 3: she overwhelmed by critics?
- 17:38Speaker 4: You know what she was? It was very like sad
- 17:41Speaker 4: because that morning we were so excited, you know, when
- 17:45Speaker 4: the announcement came out, and then the whole thing like
- 17:47Speaker 4: with Charlie Kirk came.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Out that happened the same day, didn't it.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Yes, it happened the same day, so we were like
- 17:53Speaker 4: so excited in the morning and then after like twelve
- 17:56Speaker 4: o'clock when we heard everything and this is in Utah too,
- 17:58Speaker 4: so yeah, it was even more. It was she turned off,
- 18:02Speaker 4: like she turned off her phone and she was she
- 18:04Speaker 4: couldn't be excited about it, just because like, how could
- 18:06Speaker 4: you be excited about anybody, regardless of what side you're
- 18:10Speaker 4: on that this happened. And his little kids were, you
- 18:12Speaker 4: know there, and that was just devastating for anybody to
- 18:16Speaker 4: go through. And so our whole family was just like,
- 18:20Speaker 4: oh it was It was just sad, so one emotion
- 18:23Speaker 4: to another. So yeah, it just yeah, she couldn't be
- 18:27Speaker 4: She didn't want to post. She was just like, this
- 18:29Speaker 4: is this is not the time I wouldn't you know,
- 18:31Speaker 4: so and she like honored him, you know, and so yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 4: but that was kind of Yeah, we were super excited
- 18:43Speaker 4: until that, and it was actually a heavy week I
- 18:45Speaker 4: think for the that whole time. Yeah, now it's getting
- 18:49Speaker 4: to be more real. I'm actually meeting with the producers
- 18:51Speaker 4: today and so like I'm excited to like, uh talk
- 18:56Speaker 4: to them. Yeah, so they they flew in for the
- 19:01Speaker 4: day and I get to hang out with them.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Oh, are we preparing for packages, like for inter packages
- 19:10Speaker 3: and like getting some like lifestyle like family life footage
- 19:13Speaker 3: before going into the shoots. Yeah, yes, yes, Okay, So
- 19:19Speaker 3: you said that you're gonna be shooting in California and
- 19:21Speaker 3: then Utah, is she gonna be starting at the mansion
- 19:24Speaker 3: and then taking the guys that she actually is serious
- 19:27Speaker 3: about home?
- 19:28Speaker 4: Yeah? I think so. Yeah, I think that. I think
- 19:31Speaker 4: that's the plan. I don't even know if I haven't
- 19:33Speaker 4: signed anything, but I don't think.
- 19:35Speaker 2: If you haven't signed anything, we're good.

- 20:26Speaker 3: lot of single parents on the Bachelor franchise have had,
- 20:31Speaker 3: you know, storylines over whether or not they're going to
- 20:34Speaker 3: have the lead meet the kids. What is Taylor's plan
- 20:38Speaker 3: for having the suitors meet her kids?
- 20:40Speaker 2: Does she have one?
- 20:42Speaker 4: I think she does. I think she's going to obviously, Yeah,
- 20:46Speaker 4: the guys that she really likes or thinks that she
- 20:49Speaker 4: might have a relationship, she will have them meet them.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Yes. Is it like going to be a top four thing,
- 20:55Speaker 3: like a hometown situation or you think that she had
- 20:58Speaker 3: introduced more than four guys?
- 21:00Speaker 4: No, I think probably the the the last few for sure. Okay, yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 4: I haven't really talked to her about it, but yes,
- 21:09Speaker 4: I would. I know that she wants to introduce them. Yes.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Do you see her being engaged at the end of this.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Do you think that's going to be a natural thing
- 21:17Speaker 3: for her to be able to.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Do with her?
- 21:19Speaker 4: Probably with me there was a whole different story, Like No,
- 21:23Speaker 4: I would think that.
- 21:24Speaker 3: No.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Like but her, she she likes them fast, and so
- 21:28Speaker 4: it's just like I'm like, please take your time, you
- 21:31Speaker 4: know with these guys. I don't know, We'll see. It's
- 21:35Speaker 4: just she jumps into everything so quickly. I just I
- 21:39Speaker 4: don't know I would think that by her age, because
- 21:41Speaker 4: she's thirty one. You know, she would take her time
- 21:45Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 21:46Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 21:47Speaker 4: She doesn't listen to me. I think I should start
- 21:49Speaker 4: talking saying the opposite, and maybe she will. I'll be like, yes,
- 21:53Speaker 4: let's get married, Yes let's have some kids, and then
- 21:55Speaker 4: she might not do it.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 21:58Speaker 4: That's what I need to start doing psychology.
- 22:01Speaker 3: We definitely hope to see you a lot on the
- 22:03Speaker 3: show because you have such a funny way of talking
- 22:07Speaker 3: with her. It's so honest and unfiltered, and the fact
- 22:11Speaker 3: that she's so spontaneous is gonna make for a great season.
- 22:16Speaker 2: She's I think she's gonna be.
- 22:20Speaker 3: All over the place mentally, which is gonna be really
- 22:22Speaker 3: difficult for her and you as her mom, but also
- 22:25Speaker 3: really entertaining for us as viewers.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Yes, I'm just like, oh man, they might not let
- 22:30Speaker 4: me because she might be too messy, and I'll be like,
- 22:33Speaker 4: I will want to come through the screen. So yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 4: they probably. I don't know. Who knows.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Oh so funny.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Have any past bachelorettes reached out to her to give advice?
- 22:44Speaker 4: I think so I think I know she's talked to
- 22:46Speaker 4: like Hannah Brown. I think she's talked to a couple,
- 22:51Speaker 4: but I don't know, like all of you know, she
- 22:53Speaker 4: she has so many she gets so many dms anyway,
- 22:57Speaker 4: like and I'm sure it's like intensified like so much
- 23:01Speaker 4: just since you know that they she's come out and
- 23:03Speaker 4: said that. But yeah, I know, like she's taught. I
- 23:07Speaker 4: think she's talked to Nick.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, she and Nick are friends. He will need
- 23:11Speaker 3: great help. I know.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I love I love Nick, so I've met him too,
- 23:16Speaker 4: and I love him and his wife. I'm just like
- 23:18Speaker 4: it's I don't know. I wish he was the host,
- 23:21Speaker 4: to be honest, or Chris. I wish Chris nothing against Jesse.
- 23:24Speaker 3: I just don't we all we all, so many of
- 23:26Speaker 3: us wish Chris were the post that would be great.
- 23:29Speaker 3: And Nick is just absolutely killing it with what he does.
- 23:32Speaker 4: So I love Chris. I wish they could have brought
- 23:35Speaker 4: him back, But you know, obviously I don't know, and
- 23:39Speaker 4: I don't I have nothing against the new guy. I
- 23:41Speaker 4: just don't know.
- 23:42Speaker 3: He's great because he's great, But like obviously there is
- 23:45Speaker 3: so much heart and soul that we're missing after Chris,
- 23:49Speaker 3: and I think that you speak for a lot of
- 23:51Speaker 3: people there. Yeah, all right, Well, I also think that
- 23:55Speaker 3: you'll probably be at Dancing with the Stars a lot
- 23:59Speaker 3: after this, because I think that having Taylor probably on
- 24:03Speaker 3: that show is.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Probably gonna happen after.
- 24:06Speaker 3: This, and then of course whoever she ends up with
- 24:10Speaker 3: is gonna end up on Secret Lives.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I love that element to this whole thing because I
- 24:17Speaker 3: think a lot of people are so interested, interested to
- 24:19Speaker 3: see what happens with the relationships once they get off
- 24:23Speaker 3: the show. And it's so great that in your case,
- 24:28Speaker 3: we're gonna see their relationship, them moving in together, planning
- 24:32Speaker 3: a wedding, navigating all of life off the show on
- 24:35Speaker 3: Secret Lives.
- 24:36Speaker 2: It's so perfect. I love this.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Oh that's awesome. Do you have any advice that you
- 24:41Speaker 4: I can give her? Because I'm like, you were like
- 24:44Speaker 4: you're like I would have loved like you're you went
- 24:47Speaker 4: in you know when I watch you because you're a virgin,
- 24:50Speaker 4: right yeah, yeah, all of that. Like I'm just like,
- 24:53Speaker 4: to me, you are like valued yourself.
- 24:56Speaker 6: You know.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Thanks, And I just I love that because I I
- 24:59Speaker 4: think that you're a great example to so many people
- 25:03Speaker 4: and so thank you like, you know, like I think
- 25:06Speaker 4: with not your generation, but just like the younger generation
- 25:10Speaker 4: is like hookup culture. Yeah, and I just like feel like, gosh,
- 25:14Speaker 4: you just like give so much of yourself, you know,
- 25:16Speaker 4: to these guys or vice versa. Like the men too,
- 25:21Speaker 4: and it's just like, I don't know, I just wish
- 25:24Speaker 4: more women, especially women though, like value their theirselves more
- 25:29Speaker 4: and just like didn't give it up that quick, you know,
- 25:32Speaker 4: Like I don't know, just stuff like that. It's just
- 25:34Speaker 4: there's so much more, Like sex is like so much,
- 25:38Speaker 4: I don't know, there's just so many like it's a
- 25:40Speaker 4: connection that you give to somebody else, and I just
- 25:43Speaker 4: like somebody you just don't know or that great or
- 25:45Speaker 4: I don't know me.
- 25:46Speaker 3: That's all my feelings back in my twenties was just like, yes,
- 25:50Speaker 3: I hated cook up culture.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I couldn't understand why I was living in the.
- 25:55Speaker 6: Midst of it. I was like, I do not belong
- 25:57Speaker 6: in this decade. I'm like, can we go back in
- 26:02Speaker 6: time and I can date then? Because I was very uncomfortable.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but I love that about you. I mean that's
- 26:08Speaker 4: I'm like, you're beautiful and you're just like held yourself
- 26:11Speaker 4: and that's commendable.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Thank you. Actually that brings me to another question. Fantasy suites.
- 26:18Speaker 3: That's why I can really get messy, you know, because
- 26:20Speaker 3: like I think that the best situation is that you
- 26:26Speaker 3: know who you're gonna pick going into fantasy suites, right,
- 26:29Speaker 3: because then those leads usually end up just sleeping with
- 26:33Speaker 3: the one person that they know they're gonna pick.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Because when you go into it and you and.
- 26:40Speaker 3: You sleep with everyone, uh huh, it can get really messy.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Oh I bet yes, I will be so pissed if
- 26:48Speaker 4: she goes in and does that. I will you, I
- 26:51Speaker 4: will be so mad. And I know, I mean she
- 26:55Speaker 4: doesn't care, like really what I think, but she does,
- 26:58Speaker 4: but she doesn't. It's just weird.
- 27:00Speaker 3: That's why your relationship is so funny, like because you
- 27:02Speaker 3: guys are very close, but you are, like I don't
- 27:04Speaker 3: get you.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I'm just she says that she's she She
- 27:11Speaker 4: always says how you wouldn't buy a car. I hate that, saying,
- 27:14Speaker 4: like you unless you test drive. And it's like I
- 27:18Speaker 4: didn't have sex in with my husband until I got
- 27:21Speaker 4: married and I already had her right, so like I
- 27:24Speaker 4: tried it that way first, and then obviously I marry.
- 27:27Speaker 4: I've been married twenty nine years, so that is so
- 27:29Speaker 4: not true. Like our relationship is like a great relationship
- 27:34Speaker 4: and we I don't know. I just think that that's
- 27:39Speaker 4: not true about it.
- 27:40Speaker 3: And you know what in Bachelor World, because it is
- 27:43Speaker 3: very weird, it's so much different than regular world.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Yes, utilize the thing. In my opinion, if you.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Have to test drive a car, right, make it be
- 27:54Speaker 3: the person you're gonna pick, and you know what, you
- 27:55Speaker 3: can go it through it and you can sleep with
- 27:58Speaker 3: no one in the fantasy suite, which is probably the
- 28:00Speaker 3: best idea. And your test drive is after the show. Okay,
- 28:04Speaker 3: you're not getting married in the last episode.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yes, I agree, you're still engaged.
- 28:09Speaker 3: And to be honest, even if you're engaged, a lot
- 28:12Speaker 3: of those people who leave the show engaged think like, Okay,
- 28:15Speaker 3: now we're starting to really date.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Yes, yes, because too like right, it's not it's not
- 28:21Speaker 4: reality like going on these exotic dates. You know, that's
- 28:25Speaker 4: not always what happens to all these people who date now,
- 28:29Speaker 4: So it's yeah. And I think that this season with
- 28:32Speaker 4: Taylor is going to be a little different because she's
- 28:34Speaker 4: like not your high maintenance kind of girl who has
- 28:38Speaker 4: to go on these like crazy adventures to like, I
- 28:42Speaker 4: don't know, to impress her. I guess like she's like
- 28:45Speaker 4: that type that's like, let's just go for a hike.
- 28:48Speaker 4: You know. Yeah. I'm like, she's like the ring doesn't
- 28:51Speaker 4: like is not anything? You know me, I'm like opposite.
- 28:54Speaker 4: I'm like, no, you choose the best ring. I don't know.
- 28:57Speaker 4: We're so obvious. It's so funny.
- 29:00Speaker 3: That's one of my favorite things so far about watching
- 29:03Speaker 3: Secret Lives though, is that the girls are wearing like
- 29:05Speaker 3: sweatpants around and talking on couches like that.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Is more realistic than a lot of other reality show.
- 29:10Speaker 4: Yes, I know it is. They're they're they're so funny,
- 29:14Speaker 4: those girls. Yeah, it's it's fun to see and it's well,
- 29:19Speaker 4: you've been on reality shows and and uh yeah, it's
- 29:23Speaker 4: it's not like so many people think it's fake and
- 29:26Speaker 4: her life is so real on this show. It's it's real.
- 29:30Speaker 4: It's unscripted. It's real. Like I say what I want. Yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 4: people ask me, do you do they tell you what
- 29:36Speaker 4: to say?
- 29:36Speaker 2: I'm like no, really, Okay.
- 29:39Speaker 3: That's good to know because I was wondering how her
- 29:43Speaker 3: transition from Secret Lives would go over into Bachelor, Like,
- 29:48Speaker 3: is she going to be very aware of production? You think, like,
- 29:51Speaker 3: is she gonna be like, oh, they're making me do
- 29:52Speaker 3: this or they're making me do that?
- 29:53Speaker 2: Like is she going to have she's gonna have to say?
- 29:56Speaker 4: Is what I is?
- 29:57Speaker 3: What I think you think that she's going to be
- 29:59Speaker 3: like more in a direct in our director position because
- 30:03Speaker 3: of her experience.
- 30:04Speaker 4: I do, yes, So I think I don't know, we'll
- 30:08Speaker 4: we'll see. Obviously they can say something and then when
- 30:11Speaker 4: you're you know, you're signed up, then change it, you know.
- 30:14Speaker 4: But she's so good at capturing like an audience and
- 30:18Speaker 4: so too it's like they might just let her just
- 30:21Speaker 4: be who she is. Who knows. All I know is
- 30:23Speaker 4: like I hope she doesn't like show up in crocs
- 30:26Speaker 4: with a dress or something like I just am like, please, Taylor,
- 30:31Speaker 4: Like some of the shoes that she wears, I'm like,
- 30:34Speaker 4: that does not go Like she just doesn't care and
- 30:36Speaker 4: it's just funny. She'd rather be comfortable. And it's just
- 30:39Speaker 4: like I'm glad she has like a stylist who's like gonna,
- 30:42Speaker 4: you know, do her whole wardrobe. I'm just like, at
- 30:46Speaker 4: least for that part, you know.
- 30:48Speaker 3: I hope that they recreate a lot of home dates though,
- 30:50Speaker 3: like what it would actually be like for her to
- 30:53Speaker 3: be at home with the kids, having her new fiance,
- 30:57Speaker 3: just like, yes, making dinner and in the midst of
- 31:00Speaker 3: all the chaos.
- 31:01Speaker 4: That is right, it is chaos too, chaos.
- 31:05Speaker 2: How old are they all?
- 31:07Speaker 4: Indy just turned eight, and then Ocean's five, and then
- 31:10Speaker 4: the baby ever, he's eighteen months. Okay, so it is.
- 31:14Speaker 4: It's crazy. It's a crazy house. Yeah, but she thrives
- 31:18Speaker 4: in chaos, and so I don't know.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Good, that's great. She's going to need to continue to
- 31:23Speaker 3: thrive in chaos throughout all this. Yeah, all right, Well,
- 31:27Speaker 3: we are so excited for her. I really do think
- 31:29Speaker 3: this is a great network decision. There's going to be
- 31:32Speaker 3: a lot of people interested in the crossover is going
- 31:34Speaker 3: to be amazing, and we're just hoping for the best
- 31:38Speaker 3: for you guys.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Yeah, well I we are too. I'm hoping the best
- 31:42Speaker 4: for her and whoever she married or not Marus but
- 31:46Speaker 4: find hopefully she does find someone. I'm rooting for them,
- 31:49Speaker 4: so definitely.
- 31:52Speaker 3: And before I let you go, what was the reaction
- 31:54Speaker 3: of the mom Talk group when she got this role?
- 31:58Speaker 2: Was you think there's some secret jealousy.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Oh absolutely, yes.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Who's the most jealous?
- 32:06Speaker 3: Oh, to me?
- 32:06Speaker 4: For sure? To me, I think mostly like Jesse and
- 32:11Speaker 4: Macy and Mikayla. Those three are probably like and jan
- 32:18Speaker 4: like you. They were so excited for her, and I
- 32:21Speaker 4: think the other girls were excited too. I just think,
- 32:23Speaker 4: you know, like, why didn't they pick me kind of thing?
- 32:25Speaker 4: Because they're single, you know too, so they could have
- 32:29Speaker 4: picked some of the other girls that are not married.
- 32:32Speaker 3: So she's been the star from the beginning. She's always
- 32:35Speaker 3: been the center of Yeah.
- 32:36Speaker 4: She's definitely the star of the show for sure.
- 32:39Speaker 2: And it all started because of her release of the
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah tea.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Oh yes, yes, I don't know.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Okay, Well, if you guys need any advice from somebody
- 32:51Speaker 3: who was not the lead, tell her to DM me
- 32:54Speaker 3: or I'll give you my number or anything like that.
- 32:56Speaker 2: It's just I obviously have.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Never been the puzet. Okay, she would love to d
- 33:01Speaker 4: I mean, she would love to call you probably.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Thank you. That's so sweet. That's really cool to hear. Yeah,
- 33:06Speaker 2: all right, well, thank you so much.
- 33:07Speaker 3: I'm sure we will have you on after you guys
- 33:10Speaker 3: are done filming.
- 33:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, I'm excited, but thank you. I feel honored
- 33:15Speaker 4: that you asked me and tell Ben hi to I will.
- 33:18Speaker 3: He would love to have been here for this and
- 33:20Speaker 3: he is the master of all lead advice, so please
- 33:25Speaker 3: please chat with him too. All right, Well, until next time,
- 33:28Speaker 3: I've been Ashley and that has been lean May Bye.
