- Mark Garrett: Welcome to your Leo Nation. I am the chief Mark Garrett. Well, not too long ago, Eric Swalwell was a Democrat party's front runner for governor of California. Now his campaign's over and he has resigned from Congress. This wasn't a slow decline. It was a political takedown executed by his own party in just 48 hours. Fearing these allegations would be used against him in a general election. His allies engineered the implosion to neutralize a political catastrophe. But the story begins long before April 2026. In 2014, Chinese spy Christine Feng, better known as Feng Feng, had become a fundraiser for Swalwell and it actually helped place an intern in his congressional office. a ⁓ spy for our greatest geopolitical adversary had taken part. and planting a staffer in the United States Congressional Office. Well, that was enough for the FBI, who had long suspected Feng of espionage. Swalwell was briefed by the FBI and soon after that, Feng left the US. It was also suspected that Swalwell had an ongoing romantic relationship with the spy, but he has never confirmed or denied those allegations. Considering the information we now have before us, does anyone think that they were just good friends? In 2015, the FBI briefs the congressman, the spy leaves, and all's fine, right? Not exactly. This is where we learn just how corrupt and powerful the Democrat Party machine is. When Axios broke the story in 2020, Republicans demanded Swalwell be kicked off the House Intelligence Committee. The then Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, I don't have any concerns about Mr. Swalwell. They painted the Republican outrage as partisan theater. The Democrat Party leadership didn't try to hide the facts. It just dismissed them as unimportant and claimed Swalwell was a victim and used their majority at the time to prevent and investigation. Swalwell has been one of the party's most outspoken and loyal attack dogs against political opponents for well over a decade, specifically against the current president. He had been a useful tool for the likes of Nancy Pelosi and other legacy members of the party. They protected him, long being aware of the barrage of allegations surrounding his personal behavior, including claims of inappropriate relationships. with staffers. But last week, the party's calculations changed. Heading into the 2026 California gubernatorial primary, Eric Swalwell was the establishment's candidate, backed by powerful unions and Senator Adam Schiff and others of that ilk. But on Friday, April 10th, the San Francisco Chronicle published a bombshell report that turned the vague rumors into front page crisis. Then CNN put four women on record with accusations of sexual misconduct, including assault. Next, a formal complaint was filed by DHS alleging Swalwell illegally employed a live-in nanny whose work permit had expired. The masterminds in the Democrat Party had a nightmare scenario on their hands. These stories would become front page news every single day during the gubernatorial general election. The machine kicked into high gear and all the players from Nancy Pelosi to Adam Schiff to the numerous California unions. They all dumped him within hours not because of ethics or integrity, but because they feared losing the governor's mansion to a Republican. And then a final note because he missed the withdrawal deadline. His name remains on the June 2nd primary ballot forcing his own party into the bizarre position of campaigning against him. So what's the moral of the story? If the Dems had dealt with him when they should have, they would not have to deal with him now. For Your Lee One Nation, I'm the Chief Mark Garrett.
