- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show, the world's most trusted conspiracy
- 0:16Speaker 1: Darry Podcast, with your hosts Adam Todd Brown and Olivia Hidar.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm Adam Todd Brown,
- 0:38Speaker 2: I'm Olivia Hidar and that makes us your hosts. Olivia,
- 0:42Speaker 2: how's it going?
- 0:43Speaker 3: You know, honestly, it's been a pretty good week. I
- 0:47Speaker 3: don't know if you heard, but the Barbie trailer drop.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Oh that's right, and the new Barbie trailer, and like
- 0:54Speaker 3: it's kind of a big deal. So I don't know
- 0:56Speaker 3: if anything else has happened, but.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Well, the part in the Arbie trailer where Trump gets
- 1:02Speaker 2: purp walked is jarring and unexpected.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I kind of wish for a little
- 1:09Speaker 3: bit more fantasy in my Barbie movie.
- 1:11Speaker 2: But yeah, and it's it's oddly reminiscent of something else
- 1:14Speaker 2: that happened this week, Oh, which is Trump was indicted.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Oh shit, I do vaguely recall hearing something about this.
- 1:24Speaker 2: That is the whole reason we're putting this episode up
- 1:27Speaker 2: so late in the week, because the news came down
- 1:31Speaker 2: on Thursday, I believe, Yeah, and we were gonna try
- 1:35Speaker 2: and bang out an episode on Friday you were both like.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Well, let's jump on, We're ready to talk about it.
- 1:41Speaker 2: But there wasn't much to talk about, right, No, it's
- 1:45Speaker 2: good to wait. Now there is a little more to
- 1:48Speaker 2: talk about, not a ton.
- 1:50Speaker 3: No, mostly just I think figuring out what the actual
- 1:53Speaker 3: charges are like. But it's mostly just fun. It mostly
- 1:58Speaker 3: is just a thing that everybody can get behind and
- 2:02Speaker 3: feel good about.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the whole thing. We'll get into the actual
- 2:07Speaker 2: charges and the legitimacy of those charges and whether they're
- 2:11Speaker 2: actually going to accomplish what people want them to accomplish.
- 2:15Speaker 2: But also, yeah, it's just fun seeing someone like Trump
- 2:19Speaker 2: get his come up and in any sort of way.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Yes, I mentioned this earlier before we recorded. This is
- 2:26Speaker 3: the closest that he has ever come to facing consequences.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Basically, even getting COVID made this motherfucker's approval rating goal.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yeah, and like he was impeached, but it didn't end up,
- 2:40Speaker 3: you know, going into a criminal matter. And so yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 3: it's just it's nice. It's good to know that he
- 2:48Speaker 3: is not even though I'm sure he's sleeping fine right
- 2:52Speaker 3: now in his luxury penthouse or whatever. It's good to
- 2:56Speaker 3: know that he's not a free man.
- 2:58Speaker 2: He did, I think, look genuinely concerned after he made
- 3:03Speaker 2: the trip from the DA's office where I believe that's
- 3:08Speaker 2: where he turned himself in, and I was watching all
- 3:11Speaker 2: of that live. I was watching it on CNN, which, wow,
- 3:15Speaker 2: you know, lesser.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Of two evils to cut news network.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, And they just kept talking about how this
- 3:22Speaker 2: is a former president going to jail, but life is
- 3:26Speaker 2: just carrying on as normal around him, And it's like,
- 3:30Speaker 2: what do you want people?
- 3:32Speaker 3: Look, guys, we can't all be pundits. Yeah, sorry, some
- 3:36Speaker 3: of us have to have other jobs.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's like, you are lucky. I'm not watching the Charleston
- 3:40Speaker 2: open right now. I'm just watching this to see if
- 3:44Speaker 2: there's any protests. Here's the thing. I feel like the
- 3:48Speaker 2: protests around this were not as robust as I was expecting,
- 3:51Speaker 2: and I feel like that's a bad look for Trump.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Well, not only is it a bad look for Trump,
- 3:56Speaker 3: it's a bad look for the current crop of like
- 4:01Speaker 3: mainstream journalists who like outnumbered the protesters, you know, quote
- 4:06Speaker 3: unquote protesters five to one at most of the at
- 4:09Speaker 3: any of the events that they went to.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels like the response to this is sort
- 4:15Speaker 2: of a sign that Trump is losing a little bit
- 4:18Speaker 2: of steam, might be in terms of a popular movement.
- 4:20Speaker 2: But yeah, we'll see, because this is gonna be a
- 4:23Speaker 2: thing that drags out for for sure years.
- 4:25Speaker 3: But also like something like this is never going I mean,
- 4:29Speaker 3: I really unless it was going to become a January
- 4:33Speaker 3: sixth again, right, which was a very specific set of
- 4:37Speaker 3: circumstations with him on the premises drumming up people to
- 4:41Speaker 3: action and shit Like I feel like when there's an
- 4:44Speaker 3: actual injustice that's committed, you know, like the twenty twenty
- 4:47Speaker 3: Black Lives Matter protests and these sorts of things, people
- 4:50Speaker 3: can get like excited for that. You know, you can
- 4:52Speaker 3: like get involved and stay involved because there's actual like
- 4:56Speaker 3: wrongs to fight. This is a rich man facing charge.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I feel like even the right wing can't get drummed
- 5:03Speaker 3: up for that.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Well, it's also as we get into it, this will
- 5:07Speaker 2: make more sense. But this would be a silly thing
- 5:10Speaker 2: for Trump supporters to like really go buck over, because
- 5:16Speaker 2: I mean, to jump ahead a little bit, I don't
- 5:18Speaker 2: think this is gonna work in terms of sending Trump
- 5:22Speaker 2: to prison.
- 5:22Speaker 3: I sure, here's the thing.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I will bet any amount of money, right, now that
- 5:26Speaker 2: Trump does not go to prison for this, he might
- 5:28Speaker 2: get fine, sure for it. But at the same time,
- 5:33Speaker 2: there's other stuff coming along, right that could hold more
- 5:37Speaker 2: severe consequences. Yeah, and so I feel like, if you're
- 5:41Speaker 2: a Trump supporter, thinking should I be rioting right now?
- 5:44Speaker 2: This is one you probably want to just let play
- 5:46Speaker 2: out in court.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Hold, hold, wait for yeah, wait for the bigger And
- 5:51Speaker 4: here's the thing I would appreciate if you not riot
- 5:54Speaker 4: at all.
- 5:54Speaker 2: No matter what happens, sure to Donald Trump. That's that's
- 5:58Speaker 2: my I.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Mean, if it's like January's I really won't make much
- 6:01Speaker 3: difference to me anyway, Yeah, because you know, it's not
- 6:04Speaker 3: like it's gonna actually do anything, right.
- 6:08Speaker 2: So, yeah, we didn't do the episode right away because
- 6:11Speaker 2: there wasn't a ton of news. We just heard that
- 6:14Speaker 2: Trump was indicted, And if you're unfamiliar, that just means
- 6:18Speaker 2: you've been charged with crimes, right, And an indictment is
- 6:22Speaker 2: a document that lists the charges against you.
- 6:26Speaker 3: It's like a rich person's way of getting arrested pretty much.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, that's a good way to describe it. And
- 6:33Speaker 2: in a grand jury indictment, you just need a majority
- 6:36Speaker 2: of jurors to agree that charges are warranted, doesn't have
- 6:40Speaker 2: to be unanimous like a criminal trial. And what we
- 6:44Speaker 2: heard at first, and what seems to still be the case,
- 6:47Speaker 2: is that this all centers around a one hundred and
- 6:50Speaker 2: thirty thousand dollars payment that was made to porn star
- 6:55Speaker 2: Stormy Daniels to keep her from talking about a past
- 7:00Speaker 2: the fair with Trump.
- 7:01Speaker 3: It is kind of astonishing that it's twenty twenty three
- 7:06Speaker 3: and I'm constantly hearing about the name Stormy Daniels.
- 7:10Speaker 2: She had a good tweet about this wild Did you
- 7:13Speaker 2: say it?
- 7:14Speaker 3: No, I didn't see her tweet a page. I don't
- 7:15Speaker 3: fall over her.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Well I don't either, I know. But someone tweeted at
- 7:20Speaker 2: her and said, you're a liar. Trump wouldn't touch you
- 7:24Speaker 2: with a ten foot pole.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I did see that.
- 7:27Speaker 2: And she replied and said, no, he touched me with
- 7:29Speaker 2: a three inch pole.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Sure.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a solid comeback.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's funny to be able to stay that with authority.
- 7:37Speaker 3: And like, I don't know, it's just weird. It's just
- 7:40Speaker 3: very strange. I thought this was like a this was
- 7:43Speaker 3: a whole thing. It's just just bringing up twenty sixteen
- 7:45Speaker 3: vibes all over again.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Well, not just that, but it's an affair that happened
- 7:49Speaker 2: in two thousand and six, right, it was ten years
- 7:52Speaker 2: before the election. I think she just prior to the election,
- 7:57Speaker 2: was like, Hey, I'm gonna tell people, probably you don't
- 7:59Speaker 2: give me and they gave her money to silence her
- 8:03Speaker 2: and to get her to sign an NDA naturally, which
- 8:06Speaker 2: in and of itself is obviously shady maneuvering, but not
- 8:11Speaker 2: necessarily illegal. Michael Cohen, he paid the hush money to
- 8:16Speaker 2: Stormy Daniels, and because it was done in the name
- 8:20Speaker 2: of influencing the election, it was considered an excessive campaign donation.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Trump initially denied knowing about the payment, but Rudy Giuliani,
- 8:32Speaker 2: as he does, came along and messed everything up because
- 8:38Speaker 2: he told a gaggle of reporters that Trump paid Cohen
- 8:43Speaker 2: back for that payment, just like let it slip after
- 8:46Speaker 2: Trump denied knowing anything about it, which it was going
- 8:49Speaker 2: to be a hard thing to prove.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Is he the dumbest Republican?
- 8:52Speaker 2: It's hard, it's a tough rate. That's a Is he
- 8:55Speaker 2: the dumbest Republican? Or is he a secret good guy?
- 8:58Speaker 2: Like did he just buddy up to Trump? And He's
- 9:01Speaker 2: just like, look, I'm gonna go to the mat sure,
- 9:04Speaker 2: no matter how stupid I have to. Look, I'm gonna
- 9:07Speaker 2: derail what is happening with this man? Probably not, but
- 9:11Speaker 2: I I don't think so. Like fuck, if George Soros
- 9:15Speaker 2: is fun than anyone, it's probably Rudy Giuliani.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Like I just have to go with Ockham's razor and
- 9:21Speaker 3: just just stupid being a fucking but like, man, dumbest
- 9:26Speaker 3: Republican is a real that's a race to the bottom.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Like that is tough.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that is a tough one.
- 9:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I would go Marjorie Taylor Green right now. But also,
- 9:37Speaker 2: I mean she knows how to work those QAnon motherfuckers,
- 9:41Speaker 2: so not really.
- 9:42Speaker 3: She doesn't and she can like use her phone.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yes that also, And so after Rudy Giuliani spilled the tea,
- 9:52Speaker 2: that's when Trump came out and said that he did
- 9:54Speaker 2: pay Cohen a quote monthly retainer right that was intended
- 9:59Speaker 2: to stop the false and extortionist accusations made by her
- 10:05Speaker 2: about an affair, and whoops, him denying the affair nullified
- 10:10Speaker 2: that NDA. Oh, because that was also apparently part of
- 10:14Speaker 2: the NDA that Trump wouldn't call her a liar, and
- 10:18Speaker 2: she just like wouldn't talk about it.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 10:20Speaker 2: But this payment came out, became news, and he, in
- 10:26Speaker 2: Trump fashion, classic Trump fashion, just had to go in
- 10:30Speaker 2: front of the media and say nope, never happened. That
- 10:33Speaker 2: blew everything up.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Mm hmm. That's Trump, good old Trump.
- 10:37Speaker 2: So that was all kind of the speculation was that
- 10:40Speaker 2: that was what this all centered around, and there was
- 10:43Speaker 2: like confirmation before the indictment came out. And then the
- 10:46Speaker 2: indictment comes out, and if you're hoping for a salacious read,
- 10:52Speaker 2: you are not going to get it. Yeah, because Trump
- 10:55Speaker 2: is charged with thirty four counts of falsifying business records
- 10:59Speaker 2: in the first degree, And when you read through the indictment,
- 11:03Speaker 2: it's kind of just a list of check numbers, ledger numbers,
- 11:09Speaker 2: in voice numbers, and each one has a count of
- 11:14Speaker 2: falsifying business records attached to it. So this isn't that fun.
- 11:19Speaker 3: No, I mean, most legal documents aren't like a breeze,
- 11:24Speaker 3: you know, right, John Grisham, most of his stuff is
- 11:27Speaker 3: made up. He's not actually like a legal scholar, you know,
- 11:30Speaker 3: like Tom Cruise didn't actually agree to disagree.
- 11:35Speaker 2: So yeah, it's just kind of the same charges over
- 11:37Speaker 2: and over but with different check numbers and things, which
- 11:40Speaker 2: does kind of speak to the idea that maybe it's
- 11:42Speaker 2: more than just the Stormy Daniels thing.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I mean, we know that he has definitely committed way
- 11:49Speaker 3: more crimes than just Stormy Daniels. So it feels like
- 11:54Speaker 3: discovery is what we're betting on here.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Right, And that's the other thing again to keep in mind,
- 12:00Speaker 2: like this is kind of just the beginning in terms
- 12:04Speaker 2: of potential charges and indictments that could come down against
- 12:08Speaker 2: Trump specifically, I would say this is the weakest one.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Also it might be the weakest one, but also sometimes
- 12:17Speaker 3: that's just how you get to the deeper stuff. Is
- 12:20Speaker 3: you know, you get get a foot in the door.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I mean, you know they got like al Capone, n Rico,
- 12:24Speaker 3: and so like.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well they got al Capone on.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Taxes, tax evasion.
- 12:30Speaker 2: This isn't that these particular charges Trump's facing, aren't that.
- 12:34Speaker 2: The problem here is how Trump paid Michael Cohen back.
- 12:41Speaker 2: He used funds from his own corporation, and because it
- 12:45Speaker 2: was a payment that prosecutors believe was made to aid
- 12:48Speaker 2: the campaign, that makes it a campaign donation and corporations
- 12:54Speaker 2: can't make campaign donations fucking lol, So that makes it
- 13:00Speaker 2: a crime. If he had just paid Michael Cohen back
- 13:04Speaker 2: out of that room full of gold coins that he
- 13:08Speaker 2: would have us believe he dives into at the end
- 13:10Speaker 2: of every night, his own personal wealth. If he had
- 13:15Speaker 2: just coughed up one hundred and thirty thousand dollars of
- 13:18Speaker 2: his own money, this is not a crime. Like nothing
- 13:22Speaker 2: about it would have gotten him in trouble, sure, but
- 13:25Speaker 2: he had to do it through his corporation because then
- 13:28Speaker 2: tax right off. Baby, It's how rich people work.
- 13:32Speaker 3: He is such a cheapskate, yeah, for being a guy
- 13:36Speaker 3: who is beloved by weirdos for his wealth. He is
- 13:42Speaker 3: such a cheapskate.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, very much so. And if that all sounds like
- 13:47Speaker 2: shaky grounds to arrest a former president, it kind of is. Yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 2: it's a stretch. It's worth noting Michael Cohen was obviously
- 13:57Speaker 2: accused in all this also, and the Feds never really
- 14:01Speaker 2: charged him for this specific thing. Like I think he
- 14:04Speaker 2: went to prison for perjury, right think, so obstruction of.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Justice something about Michael Cohen, Like this is this is
- 14:12Speaker 3: all dredging up so many dark memories.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, remember when we were all like, oh, Michael Cohen's
- 14:18Speaker 2: gonna save us. No fucking get out of here. Michael
- 14:22Speaker 2: Cohen's not saving anyone.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Couldn't even save himself, and that's like all he wants
- 14:26Speaker 3: to do.
- 14:27Speaker 2: The Feds never charged Trump with a campaign violation for this,
- 14:31Speaker 2: right because making the case was going to be really hard. Yeah,
- 14:35Speaker 2: and we know that because John Edwards Democrat was essentially
- 14:40Speaker 2: indicted for the same thing in twenty eleven and the
- 14:44Speaker 2: Feds were unable to convince a jury that he was guilty. Right,
- 14:49Speaker 2: So essentially the federal government investigated this charge a few
- 14:53Speaker 2: years ago and decided not to charge Trump over it,
- 14:57Speaker 2: which is one of the reasons this is kind of
- 15:00Speaker 2: a sketchy prosecution. And I don't mean sketchy in that
- 15:04Speaker 2: they shouldn't do it.
- 15:05Speaker 3: There's no legal foundation, but like, yeah, no, there's definitely
- 15:09Speaker 3: stuff there.
- 15:10Speaker 2: It's just like we all want Trump to be a
- 15:13Speaker 2: criminal because he is a criminal, right, But this just
- 15:17Speaker 2: isn't I think gonna be the way it gets done,
- 15:21Speaker 2: but it's a start.
- 15:22Speaker 3: It might not, but maybe it will. At this point.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Right now, like as of this recording, I'm just in
- 15:27Speaker 3: a place where I'm like I'm just kind of gonna
- 15:30Speaker 3: enjoy this while it's happening, because if this is all
- 15:34Speaker 3: we get, then I want to enjoy it. But also
- 15:36Speaker 3: maybe more will happen. Who knows, But I like it.
- 15:39Speaker 3: It's funny.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's just always fun to see an
- 15:43Speaker 2: asshole get theirs.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Yes, and like, as much as I don't like the
- 15:48Speaker 3: American justice system or the car serial states, it's more
- 15:54Speaker 3: just it comes down to, it's just funny to see
- 15:58Speaker 3: this rich guy who's so as get taken down a
- 16:01Speaker 3: few pigs.
- 16:02Speaker 2: This is a TikTok video of a rich asshole rolling
- 16:06Speaker 2: his car for driving aggressively like he's probably gonna get
- 16:11Speaker 2: out and walk away from it. Fine, that car is
- 16:13Speaker 2: not going to cost him shit because it's rich. But
- 16:15Speaker 2: still it's fun to see. It's fun to see his
- 16:17Speaker 2: day inconvenienced exactly in that fucking manner.
- 16:21Speaker 3: One could stay ruined. I bet his day was in
- 16:23Speaker 3: his standards.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Or Trump looked like his day was ruined.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, did you see the courtroom sketches?
- 16:29Speaker 2: I saw courtroom pictures.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I saw a picture, But I don't know what the deal.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I don't know, Okay, So what's the deal. Why do
- 16:35Speaker 3: we have sketches then if we're allowed to take pictures
- 16:37Speaker 3: in the courtroom, I really don't understand that.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I don't know they did allow photographers in the courtroom.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Yeah, because I've seen pictures, but I wasn't sure because
- 16:46Speaker 3: you know, there's that whole thing gives a sketch artist
- 16:48Speaker 3: a day off exactly.
- 16:51Speaker 2: So Trump is being charged not with a federal crime,
- 16:55Speaker 2: but with a state crime, right, And this is where
- 16:58Speaker 2: it gets kind of complicated, because this is basically the
- 17:02Speaker 2: same thing the federal government decided not to indict Trump over.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg, who we will talk about him more later,
- 17:10Speaker 2: very controversial figure in this he's the prosecutor in this case.
- 17:14Speaker 2: He alleges that since Trump used money from his corporation,
- 17:18Speaker 2: he committed the state law crime of falsifying business records,
- 17:25Speaker 2: and since it happened in New York, he's being charged there. Sure,
- 17:29Speaker 2: there are some legitimate concerns with this prosecution and how
- 17:35Speaker 2: it's going to look, because Alvin Bragg is having to
- 17:39Speaker 2: do a lot of legwork to make this a felony
- 17:43Speaker 2: in the first place, because falsifying business records in and
- 17:47Speaker 2: of itself is a misdemeanor. Sure, and a misdemeanor that
- 17:51Speaker 2: comes with a two year statute of limitations. Wow, so
- 17:55Speaker 2: that ship would seem to have sale. Sure beyond that,
- 17:59Speaker 2: what he's claiming here is that it's a felony because
- 18:04Speaker 2: Trump did it in the name of covering up another crime,
- 18:08Speaker 2: which was the campaign finance violation. But that's also complicated
- 18:13Speaker 2: because the FEDS didn't charge him for that.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Sure, so it's a wrinkle.
- 18:18Speaker 2: It's it's definitely a wrinkle. And even then, the statute
- 18:23Speaker 2: of limitations on that would have been five years, which
- 18:27Speaker 2: takes us to twenty twenty one. So once again statute
- 18:32Speaker 2: of limitations seems to have expired. What Alvin Bragg is
- 18:36Speaker 2: arguing is that the year's Trump spent as president, where
- 18:41Speaker 2: technically he's living in Washington, d C. Outside New York,
- 18:45Speaker 2: that stopped the statute of limitations clock, and that the
- 18:50Speaker 2: statute of limitations only applies when you're in the state.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Sure like, it's an argument that mean, Yeah, that's that's
- 19:01Speaker 3: it's a tight rope.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's tough, and that's obviously not us defending Trump. No,
- 19:10Speaker 2: you gotta be honest about what's happening here.
- 19:13Speaker 3: If you can't assess what the situation is with clear eyes,
- 19:16Speaker 3: than how are you ever gonna do the right thing?
- 19:19Speaker 2: Like we won't have as much ground to stand on
- 19:22Speaker 2: when we celebrate it finally happening, So Olivia, there was
- 19:27Speaker 2: no public arrest. Now, there was no purp walk.
- 19:29Speaker 3: There was no purp walk. There's no mug shot.
- 19:32Speaker 2: That's all a bummer.
- 19:33Speaker 3: I was so mad to find out they're not doing
- 19:37Speaker 3: They're not making him take a mug shot.
- 19:39Speaker 2: And did he just not think his hair looked good
- 19:41Speaker 2: enough for it? Because you know they're gonna issue like
- 19:45Speaker 2: a Trump mug shot T shirt, like an official campaign merch.
- 19:51Speaker 3: I mean, if the exception came like directly from him,
- 19:54Speaker 3: then I would guess that it's more just he wouldn't
- 19:57Speaker 3: want to do that.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Yeah, but his campaign has talked about releasing like a
- 20:03Speaker 2: fake mug shot.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Well, of course it'll be like his normal headshot with
- 20:08Speaker 3: like a CGI.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, for some reason, it'll be a full body thing
- 20:13Speaker 2: and he'll be all shredded and shit, like, whoa did
- 20:17Speaker 2: he go to prison?
- 20:18Speaker 3: Oh wait, he's got six fingers. Oh this is this
- 20:21Speaker 3: isn't a real.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Look at his teeth, they look normal. This isn't right.
- 20:28Speaker 2: But he did look really sad in that image of
- 20:33Speaker 2: him going from the DA's office to the court room. Yeah,
- 20:37Speaker 2: I was watching this on CNN just because I knew
- 20:40Speaker 2: they would be airing it all live. And this thing
- 20:45Speaker 2: happens when Trump goes from the DA's office to the courtroom.
- 20:49Speaker 2: There are two cops walking ahead of him, and the
- 20:53Speaker 2: cop immediately ahead of him opens the door and then
- 20:57Speaker 2: just lets it shut without holding it been for Trump.
- 21:01Speaker 2: I think the CNN talking heads are correct when they
- 21:05Speaker 2: brought up that's probably the first time in like ten
- 21:08Speaker 2: years at least that has happened to Donald Trump. And
- 21:13Speaker 2: it looked like it registered with him, Like he did
- 21:17Speaker 2: not look happy about that. And then he shoots the
- 21:21Speaker 2: camera a look when he is walking to that courtroom,
- 21:27Speaker 2: and I want it on a T shirt Like that
- 21:30Speaker 2: feels like his mug shot.
- 21:32Speaker 3: It's the closest we get to that sort of theater.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Like it looked like all of the personality was drained
- 21:40Speaker 2: out of him.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he did not look good, which he never.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Look Yeah, he never looks good, but he also rarely
- 21:48Speaker 2: looks concerned. Yeah, and he looked concerned and bummed out
- 21:54Speaker 2: by what he heard.
- 21:56Speaker 3: It's like when a cow like is scared of something
- 21:59Speaker 3: and you're like, oh, I shouldn't see this emotion in
- 22:03Speaker 3: those dumb eyes.
- 22:05Speaker 2: There's also one of the courtroom pictures where it could
- 22:10Speaker 2: be that thing where they just caught a picture of
- 22:12Speaker 2: him at the right moment and his mouth was hursed
- 22:15Speaker 2: the correct way, but he looked fucking irate.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I'm sure he was pissed, and I was for it, yeah,
- 22:22Speaker 3: because I really don't think he's maybe not capable of
- 22:26Speaker 3: feeling concerned or sadness, but anger is like his closest thing.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah. And CNN was talking to one of his former advisors,
- 22:37Speaker 2: who I think works there now, as several former Trump
- 22:40Speaker 2: advisors do, of course, great country, Yeah, yeah, And she
- 22:45Speaker 2: was talking about how in a situation like this, especially
- 22:49Speaker 2: like when Trump was driving to the DA's office, which
- 22:53Speaker 2: they followed him in a helicopter the whole way, she
- 22:57Speaker 2: was talking about how Trump would want someone in the
- 23:00Speaker 2: car with him to like bounce ideas off of and
- 23:03Speaker 2: to vent to, and just how dreadful a position that
- 23:08Speaker 2: would be to have to be in. She was like,
- 23:11Speaker 2: I am glad I'm not the person in the car
- 23:14Speaker 2: with him. It's okay, Which, yeah, this is a whole
- 23:18Speaker 2: new world. For Trump, it is like he's been getting
- 23:22Speaker 2: away with so much shit for so long, like way before,
- 23:27Speaker 2: and he might president.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Exactly and he might get away with this, but it's
- 23:31Speaker 3: a way closer shave than it has been before, and
- 23:35Speaker 3: I think it's harder for him to laugh off.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Like there's a documentary about Trump trying to build
- 23:42Speaker 2: a golf course in Scotland. Oh have you ever? Have
- 23:46Speaker 2: you seen it?
- 23:46Speaker 3: No, I'm familiar with the story of his Scottish golf club.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Like that's all pre president stuff mostly. I think it might,
- 23:56Speaker 2: like near the end, kind of tip into when he's
- 23:59Speaker 2: running for president.
- 23:59Speaker 3: I mean, it's one of the things that is probably
- 24:03Speaker 3: the biggest push for him to run for presidents. Being
- 24:07Speaker 3: pissed about.
- 24:08Speaker 2: That about windmills, about windmills, Like if you're wondering where
- 24:13Speaker 2: his crusade against windmills comes from, it's because people wanted
- 24:17Speaker 2: to build some in sight of his golf course in Scotland.
- 24:21Speaker 2: And the lengths he goes to to ruin those people's lives.
- 24:26Speaker 2: That alone, it was like an international war crime. Like
- 24:30Speaker 2: the United States should have had to answer for what
- 24:32Speaker 2: Trump was doing over there, not just Trump, Like we're
- 24:36Speaker 2: the one letting him go over there. Containment baby. But
- 24:41Speaker 2: speaking of containment, there wasn't much of that in New
- 24:44Speaker 2: York because he immediately again this is like you said,
- 24:48Speaker 2: the rich person's way to get arrested. He basically had
- 24:51Speaker 2: to check in with the DA and then got on
- 24:53Speaker 2: his private plane and flew back to mar A Lago asshole,
- 24:58Speaker 2: where Ron DeSantis has said and he will have no
- 25:00Speaker 2: part in extra dting Trump. If it ever comes to.
- 25:04Speaker 3: That, it's gonna suck his cock a little more. Yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 3: what a fucking spineless worm, ro De Santa says.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Either that or I could see him being like, no,
- 25:14Speaker 2: I'm not gonna extra diet him. I'm putting him in
- 25:16Speaker 2: Guantanamo where he belongs so he can't run against me
- 25:19Speaker 2: in twenty twenty four.
- 25:21Speaker 3: No, he is full. He's gonna go collapse into a
- 25:25Speaker 3: full ted Cruz worm. I think.
- 25:28Speaker 4: So.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I mean, this is the first sign of if it's
- 25:32Speaker 3: gonna happen, because this is just that classic thing of
- 25:35Speaker 3: Trump treating him like dog shits, hating his guts openly,
- 25:41Speaker 3: and then the guy being like, yeah, no, you're right, No,
- 25:44Speaker 3: it's okay, Yeah, No, it's all right. No, I'm not
- 25:46Speaker 3: going to extra die there. It's fine.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe, but like in Republican circles, I could see
- 25:52Speaker 2: Ron Desanta's saying that just because it's a good look.
- 25:55Speaker 3: It's him. I agree, and like, I don't think any
- 25:58Speaker 3: Republican would have. But I think that's because most Republicans
- 26:01Speaker 3: are just ready for whatever push they need to turn
- 26:04Speaker 3: into Ted cruz Es groveling worms to whoever is the
- 26:09Speaker 3: most powerful alpha male.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Yeah. So for real, though, people, don't get your hopes up,
- 26:16Speaker 2: like the skinland Trump in prison, It'll go for one thing.
- 26:18Speaker 2: It's gonna go back and forth in court.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Yeah, for a long time. But also, you know, keep
- 26:23Speaker 3: your mind open. Who knows, Like there's no reason to
- 26:26Speaker 3: lose hope in general.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I don't. I don't think it has
- 26:31Speaker 2: to be as black and white as that. I don't
- 26:33Speaker 2: think me saying don't get your hopes up is like
- 26:37Speaker 2: abandon all hopes.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Oh I know.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I'm yeah, of course, Like I'm all for the idea
- 26:43Speaker 2: of arresting Trump and charging him with fucking something. Yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 2: put him in prison for something. Who cares, I don't know.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Just build a new prison around mar A Lago.
- 26:54Speaker 3: That would actually be a good idea. That would be
- 26:57Speaker 3: such a troll, Like it kind of looks like a
- 27:00Speaker 3: like fancy prison. It's like this giant walled.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Build that wall around mar A Lago a prisoner. So like, yeah,
- 27:11Speaker 2: of course I'm all for that, But I do kind
- 27:14Speaker 2: of agree with the voices out there who are saying
- 27:18Speaker 2: that these charges are probably not the way to actually
- 27:21Speaker 2: bring Trump to justice. And that's not just Republicans, no, saying.
- 27:25Speaker 3: That, Yeah, this is definitely not like getting him on
- 27:29Speaker 3: Stormy Daniels is not justice. No, those are separate concepts.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Like He's like, I don't know if you will ever
- 27:36Speaker 3: bring him to justice.
- 27:39Speaker 2: And if you are out there drinking up that line
- 27:43Speaker 2: about how this proves no one is above the law,
- 27:46Speaker 2: oh go fuck yourself. Every American president in history has
- 27:52Speaker 2: been way, way, way above the law.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Every step of this process has enforced the fact that
- 28:01Speaker 3: he is above the law. Yeah, he was indicted and said,
- 28:06Speaker 3: all right, I'll be there after the weekend, right, flew
- 28:09Speaker 3: in on his own, drove up to the courthouse on
- 28:14Speaker 3: his own, was walked in, wasn't handcuffed, wasn't purp walked,
- 28:18Speaker 3: didn't have a mug shot, wasn't held you know, overnight
- 28:22Speaker 3: was allowed to leave after receiving his indictment and then
- 28:26Speaker 3: went back. That's above the laws.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Pretty far above the law. Also, did you read the
- 28:31Speaker 2: New York Times article about his taxes, Like, if that's
- 28:35Speaker 2: not sending him to prison, he's pretty much above the law,
- 28:39Speaker 2: right exactly, And like George W. Bush should be tried
- 28:45Speaker 2: in the fucking Hague for.
- 28:46Speaker 3: War crimesolutely, like whole administration Obama assassinated an American citizen. Yeah,
- 28:53Speaker 3: it was terrible.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Bill Clinton really did commit perjury. Yes, like every America,
- 29:01Speaker 2: even Nixon got pardoned by Gerald Ford, Like this proves
- 29:06Speaker 2: nothing about people being above the law.
- 29:08Speaker 3: No, definitely not. Still should happen because it would be funny.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Well, I think this also if I can put my
- 29:16Speaker 2: conspiracy hat on for a moment, I know that's not
- 29:19Speaker 2: appropriate on this podcast, but man, this would be a
- 29:23Speaker 2: good way to make Trump have to do a whole
- 29:26Speaker 2: lot of extra campaigning to run for president. Sure, because
- 29:30Speaker 2: fighting all of these investigations that are coming is not
- 29:34Speaker 2: going to be cheap. Like he's getting off pretty easy
- 29:38Speaker 2: so far in terms of how he's being treated by
- 29:41Speaker 2: the justice system. But that's because he's rich and he's
- 29:44Speaker 2: paying people a lot of money. But that's money he's
- 29:47Speaker 2: going to have to keep spending. Yes, Because as much
- 29:50Speaker 2: as I keep saying, well, don't get your hopes up
- 29:51Speaker 2: about him being arrested here, this is one investigation into Trump.
- 29:56Speaker 2: There is also New York Attorney General Latitia j who
- 30:00Speaker 2: is investigating the Trump organization for financial crimes, which I
- 30:06Speaker 2: think that is kind of tied to that New York
- 30:08Speaker 2: Times report, sure, which if people have never read it,
- 30:12Speaker 2: Like I talked shit about the New York Times a lot,
- 30:14Speaker 2: but yeah, that was solid report, absolutely, Like that should
- 30:18Speaker 2: have been much bigger news, yeah than it was.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Yeah, No, that was I remember that. That was fucking wild.
- 30:23Speaker 2: There's also Fulton County DA Fanny Willis, who is investigating
- 30:28Speaker 2: Trump for potential election fraud in Georgia. And that's one
- 30:32Speaker 2: of those things where I mean, he committed the crime
- 30:35Speaker 2: on the phone. There's a recording of it. Like if
- 30:40Speaker 2: that becomes the thing he gets indicted for, right, that
- 30:44Speaker 2: could potentially send him to prison.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Sure that man, just just keep having Trump Daily News
- 30:51Speaker 3: Update flashbacks. Yeah, like, oh yeah, he was he fucking
- 30:56Speaker 3: did this on the phone.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Yeah, well, like the was it the ambassador to Ukraine?
- 31:02Speaker 2: He was talking to her. Was he talking directly to
- 31:04Speaker 2: Zelenski when he was like.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I can't remember. I think it was the ambassador, but
- 31:08Speaker 3: I can't.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it was one of the two. Look, and he
- 31:11Speaker 2: was like you want this fucking aid buddy, Yeah, you
- 31:14Speaker 2: do what we you He wanted them to like prosecute
- 31:17Speaker 2: Joe Biden or.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Prosecute Yeah, yeah, he did that ship on the phone, yes, like.
- 31:23Speaker 3: And didn't have nothing happened about that really, I mean
- 31:27Speaker 3: like like, sure there were consequences or whatever, but.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Like, and I mean the argument is always, well, he's
- 31:34Speaker 2: a sitting president, so yeah, I can't indict him, But
- 31:37Speaker 2: that doesn't explain why there wouldn't have just been indictments
- 31:40Speaker 2: waiting for him the minute.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Sure he left office.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean I have to imagine, like Joe
- 31:46Speaker 2: Biden hasn't commented on this much, and like why would you, Like,
- 31:52Speaker 2: I don't necessarily believe that Joe Biden wants to get
- 31:56Speaker 2: into the business of indicting former presidents anymore than the Trump.
- 32:02Speaker 3: They're sorting tapioca putting in the commissary. He's that's what
- 32:06Speaker 3: he's thinking about.
- 32:09Speaker 2: There is also the Special Counsel Investigation Jack Smith, who
- 32:14Speaker 2: could not possibly look more like the bearded soccer coach
- 32:18Speaker 2: from Ted Lasso. So Jack Smith is investigating Trump over
- 32:22Speaker 2: the classified documents thing and the possible espionage charges. Sure,
- 32:29Speaker 2: which that's a little more serious than what Trump's facing
- 32:33Speaker 2: right now, right because you know there are harsh penalties
- 32:37Speaker 2: for espionage.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Yeah, historically we're not fans of that sort of thing, right, But.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Also it's a if we're just talking the having documents
- 32:47Speaker 2: somewhere they shouldn't be. It's also a thing we now
- 32:50Speaker 2: know Joe Biden did, sure too. Yeah, good job Joe.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah, great president, Good choice, guys.
- 32:57Speaker 2: So there are lots of possibilities on the table in
- 33:00Speaker 2: the future that might work better. So don't abandon all hope,
- 33:04Speaker 2: just don't expect that what happened this week means Trump
- 33:08Speaker 2: is going to be in a prison jumpsuit next week. No,
- 33:12Speaker 2: we're in for a process, and for once in my life,
- 33:16Speaker 2: I hope the criminal.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Trial is televised. That would be fun.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I normally don't go in for that sort of thing,
- 33:22Speaker 2: but in Trump's case, fuck it, you like TV so much, Bud,
- 33:26Speaker 2: here you go.
- 33:27Speaker 3: He would be talking about how his ratings are higher than.
- 33:30Speaker 2: OJ's and here's the thing. Yeah, fuck facier president.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Also, they might not be because people don't watch TV
- 33:36Speaker 3: that very much anymore.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we had to watch TV to get OJ
- 33:40Speaker 2: updates or read the National Inquirer, who actually did some
- 33:43Speaker 2: amazing reporting around the OJ trial. But yeah, now see
- 33:48Speaker 2: those clips on YouTube. So we'd be remiss if we
- 33:52Speaker 2: did not talk about some of the conspiracy theories surrounding
- 33:56Speaker 2: Trump's indictment. Like number one, Bragg is funded by George Soros,
- 34:04Speaker 2: m H.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Totally the ninety year old Holocaust. Yes, yeah, that guy.
- 34:09Speaker 2: This is Trump's statement shortly after the indictment was announced.
- 34:13Speaker 2: This is part of it. Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, who
- 34:17Speaker 2: was handpicked and funded by George Soros, is a disgrace.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Rather than stopping the unprecedented crime way of taking over
- 34:25Speaker 2: New York City, he's doing Joe Biden's dirty work, ignoring
- 34:29Speaker 2: the murders and burglaries and assaults. He should be focused on.
- 34:33Speaker 2: This is how Bragg spends his time. End quote. But
- 34:36Speaker 2: this also has come up in comments from J. D Vance,
- 34:41Speaker 2: Ron DeSantis, pretty much every right wing and or conservative
- 34:46Speaker 2: outlet you can name. And here's the thing. It's actually
- 34:50Speaker 2: in this case not that crazy of acclaim, because George
- 34:56Speaker 2: Soros has been a prolific backer of the progres massive
- 35:00Speaker 2: prosecutor movement, which focuses on things like eliminating cash bail,
- 35:06Speaker 2: refusing to prosecute lower level crimes, all in the name of,
- 35:10Speaker 2: you know, not ending mass incarceration. Obviously, we have a
- 35:13Speaker 2: country to run here, We've got to make money somehow,
- 35:17Speaker 2: but easing the burden a little bit. So all of
- 35:20Speaker 2: the things that if you go to a grocery store
- 35:24Speaker 2: here in LA, someone's going to be outside with a
- 35:27Speaker 2: petition wanting you to participate in a recall of George Gascon,
- 35:32Speaker 2: who is the current LA District Attorney, because he's been
- 35:37Speaker 2: implementing a lot of these ideas. And the argument is all,
- 35:42Speaker 2: you're letting criminals out, and they're recommitting immediately. So Alvin
- 35:47Speaker 2: Bragg is one of those type of prosecutors. He's a
- 35:51Speaker 2: Progressive movement prosecutor. And this is why Republicans say he's
- 35:57Speaker 2: funded by George source for one thing, George Soros either
- 36:01Speaker 2: daughter and son in law or son and daughter in law,
- 36:04Speaker 2: I don't know what direction it works. They both donated
- 36:07Speaker 2: money to Alvin Bragg, but hey, they're their own people,
- 36:10Speaker 2: So that doesn't in and of itself doesn't prove anything.
- 36:14Speaker 2: But what happened is a group called Color of Change
- 36:19Speaker 2: that also supports the Progressive Prosecutor movement, came out publicly
- 36:24Speaker 2: and said that they were going to dedicate roughly one
- 36:27Speaker 2: million dollars to supporting Alvin Bragg. Sure, and right around
- 36:32Speaker 2: that same time they got a million dollars in financing
- 36:36Speaker 2: from George Soros. And the two claim complete coincidence, and like,
- 36:43Speaker 2: maybe maybe not sure, but that does explain why Republicans
- 36:47Speaker 2: are saying this. The only problem is it's kind of
- 36:51Speaker 2: a boy who Cried Wolf thing because Republicans one blame
- 36:56Speaker 2: everything on George Soros.
- 36:58Speaker 3: Literally, everyone they don't like is paid.
- 37:00Speaker 2: By George Soros, and they do it very often in
- 37:04Speaker 2: a blatantly anti Semitic way. And so now when they
- 37:10Speaker 2: kind of have a talking point, sure, everyone's just like
- 37:14Speaker 2: fuck you anti semitic fucks. Like, no one's we're not
- 37:18Speaker 2: even going to look into this, And it's like that's
- 37:20Speaker 2: what you get. Yeah, there's no crime in discussing or
- 37:24Speaker 2: criticizing a person's political views, sure, but when you start
- 37:28Speaker 2: calling them the puppet master financier who's pulling the strings
- 37:34Speaker 2: behind all of the world's events. People know what the
- 37:38Speaker 2: fucking saying horns, Like, people understand what you're saying, even
- 37:46Speaker 2: if you don't explicitly say it. So if people aren't
- 37:49Speaker 2: taking you seriously this time, fuck you. That's your fault.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Is absolutely your fault.
- 37:55Speaker 3: And also even taking it seriously. Also, so what who
- 37:59Speaker 3: gives a shit this happened? You're like, you're saying that,
- 38:02Speaker 3: no conservative donors the Koch Brothers, Yeah, exactly.
- 38:06Speaker 2: The Coke Brothers donate to conservative causes all the time.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Like the amount of people who are richer and more
- 38:13Speaker 3: influential than George Soros on the right, like they have
- 38:17Speaker 3: to cling to George Soros because he's basically like our
- 38:21Speaker 3: only version of the Koch Brothers.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like, yeah, sometimes rich people donate to
- 38:27Speaker 2: causes they care about, like even.
- 38:29Speaker 3: In a very loose citousness.
- 38:32Speaker 2: And in this case, if George Soros did directly decide, yes,
- 38:37Speaker 2: Alvin Bragg is the prosecutor that I want to win
- 38:41Speaker 2: this election. Republicans do that shit all the time. George
- 38:45Speaker 2: Soros being Jewish has nothing to do with that. Sure, no,
- 38:49Speaker 2: And like, yeah, you can criticize that, but you've been
- 38:53Speaker 2: doing it in such a shady, racist ass way for
- 38:57Speaker 2: so long. Yeah, no one fucking cares.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Also, and yeah, no one cares. And you're blowing things
- 39:03Speaker 3: out like into such a master proportion that no one
- 39:06Speaker 3: can take you seriously.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Like in twenty ten, Glenn Beck dedicated a three
- 39:12Speaker 2: episode series to George Soros called Exposing George Soros the
- 39:18Speaker 2: puppet Master. Yeah, and it's like that's a dog whistle, man.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Of course we know how those work.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I mean, Glenn Beck is a fucking yeah digot. But
- 39:26Speaker 3: I mean, like shit, one of my earliest episodes on
- 39:31Speaker 3: on Pops it was about George Soros. Oh yeah, with
- 39:35Speaker 3: Dave Weigel.
- 39:36Speaker 2: I've done so many from.
- 39:37Speaker 3: The Washington Post podcast episodes.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember we've had davon a couple times. Yeah,
- 39:42Speaker 2: I remember vaguely doing that episode. And yeah, like George
- 39:47Speaker 2: Soros donates money to causes, Yeah, so to the Koch brothers.
- 39:51Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, that doesn't mean Jews run the media,
- 39:54Speaker 2: all right.
- 39:55Speaker 3: And well, and it doesn't mean that George Soros is
- 39:57Speaker 3: the mastermind of every left wing not even left wing
- 40:02Speaker 3: whatever democratic movements.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Yeah, we used to have a podcast called What in
- 40:07Speaker 2: the World, where we talked about international news and events.
- 40:12Speaker 2: We did an episode about George Soros and Hungary in
- 40:17Speaker 2: like twenty seventeen or twenty eighteen, long long time ago,
- 40:21Speaker 2: and he gets the exact same shit there. Yea, like,
- 40:25Speaker 2: Hungary basically views George Soros as the exact same way
- 40:29Speaker 2: the American right does, and surprise, surprise, Hungary is also
- 40:34Speaker 2: moving in a very authoritary and scary direction.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I was about to say Hungary, Hungary has its own
- 40:41Speaker 3: issues with right wing lunatics.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yes, yes, Hungary is in bad shape.
- 40:47Speaker 3: A lot of places are, honestly.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Yeah, That's one of the things I've been preaching for
- 40:53Speaker 2: years now, is that, Yeah, the United States seems like
- 40:57Speaker 2: it's tumbling toward fascism, but Europe there's no, there's no
- 41:02Speaker 2: more tumble. No, they are just there in a lot
- 41:05Speaker 2: of places.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Yeah, it's tough. This is something that's going to boil
- 41:08Speaker 3: over and become more of a more of a issue ahead.
- 41:12Speaker 3: But it's it sucks.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Christian nationalism. But also not only that.
- 41:18Speaker 3: No, it's it's very similar. I mean, like, like I've
- 41:22Speaker 3: preached so many times about how right wing ideology is
- 41:26Speaker 3: just basically the same with regional quirks like around the world.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Yeah, India is going through it.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Absolutely loves Trump right now.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Yeah, mody is Trump basically.
- 41:40Speaker 3: I mean, it's just more well liked and yeah like it.
- 41:47Speaker 3: I mean, India is a big country. You can find
- 41:49Speaker 3: a lot of people who like a lot of things.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Joe Biden fucking likes him.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Well, I I know, but that's not exactly like, you know,
- 41:57Speaker 3: speaking to his character.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it speaks to Joe. I think it
- 42:02Speaker 2: speaks to this country's character. Yeah, Like, India could probably
- 42:07Speaker 2: do whatever they want in terms of leaders, and we're
- 42:09Speaker 2: not going to say shit no, because they're one of
- 42:12Speaker 2: our biggest allies.
- 42:13Speaker 3: I mean, it would not make any sense to fuck
- 42:15Speaker 3: with them, especially in our current states.
- 42:19Speaker 2: No, no, So yeah again, if people are laughing off
- 42:23Speaker 2: you're Alvin Bragg George Soros connections, it's your fault. Republicans
- 42:29Speaker 2: theory number two. Of course, QAnon has thoughts on this,
- 42:35Speaker 2: and their thoughts are that this is the indictment that
- 42:39Speaker 2: is going to lead to all of those other arrests.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Democrats don't know what kind of trap they're walking into Olivia.
- 42:46Speaker 5: Arrests of Democrats, Yes, yes, these people, because now we
- 42:55Speaker 5: have set a precedent sure where we have arrested a
- 43:00Speaker 5: former president on the shakiest of grounds, but now that
- 43:06Speaker 5: means we can go arrest Obama and Bill Clinton.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Yeah, for one thing, go ahead.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Also, Jimmy Carter, well the fuck I love this idea
- 43:21Speaker 4: that they think if an arrest of like Bill Clinton
- 43:25Speaker 4: happened and the outfit that arrested him, presumably like the
- 43:29Speaker 4: FBI whatever, was like, hey, Bill Clinton really was fucking
- 43:33Speaker 4: kids over there on Epstein Island, I think that would
- 43:37Speaker 4: probably be all the precedent we would need.
- 43:40Speaker 2: I don't know why you would need to backdoor this
- 43:43Speaker 2: Trump indictment to land what is a much much bigger indictment.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Like they I would say they are high on what
- 43:53Speaker 3: the kids call copium. Sure, they're just they just can't.
- 43:56Speaker 3: They're just trying. They're just reaching for wherever they can
- 43:59Speaker 3: to cope. They're just trying to trying to make it
- 44:03Speaker 3: so that their site is winning, even though there's no
- 44:06Speaker 3: reasonable reason to think that.
- 44:08Speaker 2: And also I don't know if QAnon types know this,
- 44:13Speaker 2: but arresting pedophiles is how we set precedents in this country.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Yeah, of course, like that's how you.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Get to, oh, well, people convicted of drug crimes also
- 44:24Speaker 2: can't live within five hundred feet of a school. And also,
- 44:29Speaker 2: while you're at it, no homeless encampments within five hundred
- 44:32Speaker 2: feet of a school. And it's like, okay, now homeless
- 44:34Speaker 2: people and pedophiles are the same, got it? That is
- 44:39Speaker 2: that was a rapid descent into fascism. But that's where
- 44:43Speaker 2: we are, Like, that's and that's in La.
- 44:46Speaker 4: That isn't a thing that the liberal La City.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Council enacted, absolutely, and so yeah, if there was actual
- 44:56Speaker 2: evidence of presidents committing sex crime against children, sure that
- 45:02Speaker 2: would be all the president. You'd need to arrest a
- 45:05Speaker 2: former sitting president.
- 45:07Speaker 3: Probably, I mean, unless it would get too many people
- 45:10Speaker 3: on both sides, like with the Epstein thing, Like that's
- 45:14Speaker 3: why nothing will ever come of that, because there's just
- 45:16Speaker 3: way too many people who'd get fucked over who have power.
- 45:20Speaker 3: But like, yeah, I mean, and also like this is
- 45:23Speaker 3: a classic right wing Republican conservative ideological blindness where they
- 45:28Speaker 3: think that people on the left would be devastated if
- 45:32Speaker 3: former democratic presidents were arrested, when that is simply not
- 45:36Speaker 3: the case.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Yeah, the only thing that would bother me is if
- 45:41Speaker 2: it happened and Trump didn't go down as part of it.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Also, surely if we're still talking about like a Epstein
- 45:49Speaker 3: revealed and yeah, totally, yeah, absolutely, But like in general,
- 45:53Speaker 3: like if Obama got indicted for assassinating an American citizen
- 45:58Speaker 3: while he was president, I would not blink an eye.
- 46:01Speaker 3: I would be happy yeah about that. So it's just
- 46:04Speaker 3: this imbalance in how people on the right perceive the dynamic.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Right, And I'm sure I've said it a million times,
- 46:11Speaker 2: but it just is so silly to me that people
- 46:14Speaker 2: think the guy who is actually on video with Jeffrey
- 46:19Speaker 2: Epstein at a party, like just pointing at a series
- 46:23Speaker 2: of young girls as they walk by, that's who you
- 46:26Speaker 2: think is going to be your savior. Yeah, that's who
- 46:29Speaker 2: you think is out here fighting the pedophiles.
- 46:31Speaker 3: That's always been the problem with that narrative because that
- 46:36Speaker 3: information that you just talked about and more has existed
- 46:40Speaker 3: since well before the twenty sixteen election, Like it has
- 46:43Speaker 3: been combed over and gone over a million times. Like
- 46:46Speaker 3: it's part of the not like national knowledge of Trump
- 46:50Speaker 3: as a person is that he fucked with Jeffrey Epstein
- 46:54Speaker 3: and like they fucked girls together.
- 46:57Speaker 2: Yeah, So what you don't know, though, Olivia, is that
- 47:02Speaker 2: former Trump advisor and White House Deputy Chief of Staff
- 47:05Speaker 2: Dance Gavino Junior.
- 47:07Speaker 3: Oh sure, yeah, Dan Scavino Junior. Huh yeah.
- 47:10Speaker 2: This isn't your father's dance, Scavino, this is our dance, Gavino.
- 47:14Speaker 2: He tweeted this, the guardrails are off a turning point
- 47:19Speaker 2: in the United States of America. There is no going
- 47:22Speaker 2: back because you see Q use the phrase there is
- 47:25Speaker 2: no going back sure in a twenty nineteen post. So yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 2: they are the only two people to have ever used
- 47:31Speaker 2: that phrase. I mean in American political discourse.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Are we saying that he's Q? I gotta understand. So wait,
- 47:39Speaker 3: so they're saying because like him using that phrase was
- 47:43Speaker 3: a message.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Yes, okay Jesus in that this is the indictment.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Yeah, because he wasn't being a drama queen.
- 47:51Speaker 2: There was a Q drop where he mentioned that there
- 47:55Speaker 2: would be one indictment that would kick off all the
- 47:58Speaker 2: other indictments.
- 47:59Speaker 3: I feel like I would have wanted the great profit
- 48:03Speaker 3: que if I were a huge Trump fan to say
- 48:06Speaker 3: that the person who is going to be indicted was
- 48:09Speaker 3: going to be trump yause otherwise, why make it so vague.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Yeah, you would think they they'd see that part coming.
- 48:15Speaker 3: That feels like a pretty big piece.
- 48:17Speaker 2: And yeah, they are again convinced that this sets the
- 48:21Speaker 2: precedent for arresting the global cabal of sex traffickers. And
- 48:28Speaker 2: I mean that would certainly be a Would that be
- 48:32Speaker 2: an easy way for like the CIA to pull off
- 48:36Speaker 2: a coup here because we're getting into the deep fakes
- 48:40Speaker 2: era and they're they're getting pretty convincing.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Uh huh, so how would they Well, all.
- 48:47Speaker 2: We need now is a bunch of like deep fake
- 48:49Speaker 2: child porn videos of presidents.
- 48:52Speaker 3: But like, how would that lead to a coup?
- 48:54Speaker 2: Because you arrest all the Democrats?
- 48:56Speaker 3: But how would that lead to a coup? I still
- 48:59Speaker 3: need to take over the government.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and I probably would, But like if they're willing
- 49:04Speaker 2: to go to those lift, I don't know.
- 49:05Speaker 3: I don't think there's any part of this that makes
- 49:06Speaker 3: any sense.
- 49:08Speaker 2: So not if it makes sense, Like.
- 49:10Speaker 3: I really don't think that that would happen. Like, I
- 49:12Speaker 3: don't think arresting previous presidents would impact the current administration,
- 49:18Speaker 3: not necessarily unless they are unless you're saying they're gonna
- 49:21Speaker 3: deep fake Joe Biden fucking a kid.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Probably why wouldn't they?
- 49:24Speaker 3: Of course, I don't know who cares. I don't care
- 49:27Speaker 3: if Joe Biden gets arrested. God, I hate that they
- 49:30Speaker 3: make me keep saying this.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, but I don't know.
- 49:36Speaker 3: I mean, look, I mean, I don't think there's any
- 49:39Speaker 3: benefit of theorizing on whether a Q what would happen
- 49:44Speaker 3: if a Q theory turned out to be right, because
- 49:46Speaker 3: they never have.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't think they're right. It's just obviously
- 49:51Speaker 2: a thing that can be exploited, and sure it's been
- 49:54Speaker 2: exploited already.
- 49:56Speaker 3: I just don't think it would be exploited that way.
- 49:58Speaker 3: I feel like that's a really complicated and over like
- 50:02Speaker 3: easily provable like way to do that when you could
- 50:06Speaker 3: use deep fakes in way better ways.
- 50:08Speaker 2: We got to get into deep fakes.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, that's the next direction on popular opinion
- 50:13Speaker 3: deep fakes. Yeah.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I need to be able to just type like a
- 50:16Speaker 2: couple phrases into a thing, Yeah, and it just talks.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Well, we'll run it past our AI division.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, we'll get our team of engineers on engineers
- 50:26Speaker 2: off camera. Yeah, can you look into thank you?
- 50:29Speaker 3: Okay? Cool? Yeah that was fast.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Yeah, they're gonna they're gonna run it through legal and then.
- 50:33Speaker 3: You know, you should really give these people some time off.
- 50:36Speaker 3: They're here like twenty four hours a day.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Hard disagree, really hard disagree.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Yeah, well look, I mean, like the bottles of pee
- 50:44Speaker 3: are really they axent the room nicely?
- 50:47Speaker 2: Well, yeah, they got a dreamochrome in exactly.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Oh, okay, that's where you get the a dream at Grimo.
- 50:52Speaker 2: I was wondering, Yeah, it's actually a lot less complicated
- 50:55Speaker 2: than Q makes it.
- 50:55Speaker 3: So let's just piss.
- 50:57Speaker 2: You just drink piss. Anyone's piss, anyone's actually will keep
- 51:00Speaker 2: you you just so that young forever.
- 51:03Speaker 3: That's where all the adrenochrome goes into the piss, Yes,
- 51:06Speaker 3: straight into the piss.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Don't drink piss, you know.
- 51:10Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure you can get adrenochrome from like anybody.
- 51:12Speaker 3: It doesn't need to be a kid. That's why I've
- 51:14Speaker 3: never won. I've always wondered why they get fixated one that.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Oh it tastes the best?
- 51:18Speaker 3: Oh is that literally the reason that they say? I mean, like,
- 51:22Speaker 3: I wouldn't be surprised.
- 51:23Speaker 2: I don't know. There's maybe it's the freshest keeps you young, sure,
- 51:28Speaker 2: which I love that argument that keeps you young? How
- 51:30Speaker 2: democrats stay young and immortal? It's like, have you seen
- 51:34Speaker 2: Nancy Pelosi?
- 51:35Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, Well she's actually three hundred years old, so
- 51:38Speaker 3: it's oh kind of impressive.
- 51:40Speaker 2: That stands to reason.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Well, I'm just like, I just to understand how anything
- 51:45Speaker 3: made out of like concentrated adrenaline or whatever the fuck
- 51:47Speaker 3: adrenochrome is can like make you young.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it seems like it's.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Gonna do a number on your body.
- 51:54Speaker 2: Well that's because we're not rich enough to understand.
- 51:57Speaker 3: Of course.
- 51:57Speaker 2: Of course we haven't reached that level of la liberal
- 52:02Speaker 2: elite yet.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Are we gonna get some fakeddrina chrome?
- 52:05Speaker 2: We're getting there, though, We're getting there.
- 52:07Speaker 3: Some AI generative crow.
- 52:12Speaker 2: All right, I think I think that's kind of all
- 52:15Speaker 2: there is.
- 52:15Speaker 3: So far so far. I'm sure we'll have to talk
- 52:18Speaker 3: about Trump more.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Yeah, we didn't get into like Trump's rants after him,
- 52:24Speaker 2: like naming the like DA's daughter or something.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Social media posts from him that aren't tweets. I don't
- 52:30Speaker 3: know where he is doing social media.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Truth, social war, and they're not called tweets, they're called.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Truths, sure, I said posts, Okay, do they not like
- 52:40Speaker 3: posts e there truths, but are they because I'm pretty
- 52:44Speaker 3: sure nothing Trump has ever written has been true.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Not on truth Social. Everything's true on truth Social. That's
- 52:51Speaker 2: why they call it truth Social.
- 52:53Speaker 3: Well that's great. I'm so glad that he's there.

- 54:13Speaker 2: more regularly now that I'm mostly recovered from face surgery.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Got a got a barn burner of an article coming
- 54:21Speaker 2: up about how Joe Biden is actually the new Ronald Reagan,
- 54:26Speaker 2: not Donald Trump. So there's gonna be that. And also
- 54:33Speaker 2: there's gonna be some tweaks to the network soon, so
- 54:37Speaker 2: be on the lookout for all of that. It's gonna
