- 2:17Speaker 4: Good evening. Good evening, and thank you for joining another
- 2:21Speaker 4: episode of Let's talk about It. I am your Hostnett Johnson.
- 2:26Speaker 4: I do apologize with having a little technical difficulty, but
- 2:32Speaker 4: yet and still we're going to push through. We're not
- 2:36Speaker 4: going to be on long, but tonight I do have a.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Guest with me.
- 2:45Speaker 4: I haven't heard from my brother in a long time.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Casey Woodard is here with me on tonight and we're
- 2:52Speaker 4: just gonna just be shooting the breeze this evening. Casey,
- 2:58Speaker 4: how are you doing this evening?
- 3:02Speaker 6: I'm blessed and I'm strengths for sure, even even being
- 3:07Speaker 6: in my circumstances situation, I don't let it knock me down,
- 3:11Speaker 6: and I don't let it bring me down. And uh,
- 3:14Speaker 6: I just gotta I just gotta give all breaks go
- 3:17Speaker 6: and keep on looking me up and building me up
- 3:19Speaker 6: into a better individual than our doors when I came
- 3:22Speaker 6: in here.
- 3:24Speaker 4: That's good. So we was just as I was trying
- 3:28Speaker 4: to get everything up and going. We have been talking
- 3:32Speaker 4: about your health and some other things. So since we
- 3:39Speaker 4: last talked, have anything changed.
- 3:48Speaker 6: Or as uh how you say, life is license uh
- 3:55Speaker 6: navigate your circumstances situation as they come up, and you
- 4:00Speaker 6: you still push forward no matter once you go through life,
- 4:05Speaker 6: you still trying to find a push strauggle that to
- 4:12Speaker 6: grow from whatever that experience did, that God is taking
- 4:16Speaker 6: you through. That takes the moment. And like I said, uh,
- 4:21Speaker 6: havn't hadn't gone through last year with the death of
- 4:26Speaker 6: my mother, that very relessant in my brother passed the
- 4:31Speaker 6: counsel May fifteen. It was it took it put h.
- 4:39Speaker 6: I want to do a funny to push for a second,
- 4:42Speaker 6: and I can say that much that when you when
- 4:46Speaker 6: you have someone that is a confidence in your life
- 4:50Speaker 6: as and the patriarch is my mother. And then you know,
- 4:55Speaker 6: seeing the strength of my brother and then you see
- 4:59Speaker 6: h like with my mother, you see that you know
- 5:02Speaker 6: she had a stroke and the aneurysm, I mean the
- 5:07Speaker 6: the that was in her head fabilitated her and a
- 5:13Speaker 6: talking to riving mother and then she she's not there
- 5:17Speaker 6: no more. And then you know it happened on my birthday.
- 5:23Speaker 6: You know, that's that's crazy for she She wanted to
- 5:26Speaker 6: the hospital on beat some of the twenty eight I
- 5:29Speaker 6: talked to her in twenty ninth. She had a stroke
- 5:34Speaker 6: and I wasn't able to hear that that no more. Uh, baby,
- 5:39Speaker 6: Mama loves I always know that. That's the last thing
- 5:43Speaker 6: I heard her say on my birthday. And I got
- 5:46Speaker 6: to go to the hospital. I'm not feeling good. And
- 5:48Speaker 6: then you know how you get them them voices in
- 5:51Speaker 6: your head and talking to you right, and the voice said.
- 5:56Speaker 6: It just just said, be prepair. It's not going to
- 5:59Speaker 6: be the same as it once was. And that's exactly
- 6:02Speaker 6: what the voice was staying in my head, and I
- 6:04Speaker 6: wasn't thinking about it. I'm like, now I'm true. And
- 6:08Speaker 6: that happened the next day, and just to be in
- 6:13Speaker 6: this situation and then still try to be a strength
- 6:16Speaker 6: for my sister, you know. After that, then my brother
- 6:21Speaker 6: going through the council, and you know, the counsel was
- 6:25Speaker 6: in his throat. He can badly drink water anything, and
- 6:29Speaker 6: he it took him two months to come to the counsel.
- 6:35Speaker 6: And what he couldn't see, that's what I was full,
- 6:39Speaker 6: badly drinking water. He couldn't drink anything that it wouldn't
- 6:44Speaker 6: stay down. So, you know, listening to these things, and
- 6:47Speaker 6: my sister's being right there with his wife at the time,
- 6:50Speaker 6: man just you know hearing that. But I'm here. But
- 6:54Speaker 6: the only thing I see is a voice of constance
- 6:56Speaker 6: for my family and where I met my position, but
- 7:02Speaker 6: just to be there to talk them through it too,
- 7:06Speaker 6: you know. But I feel like that where I meant that,
- 7:11Speaker 6: you know that it made me just re evaluate my life,
- 7:16Speaker 6: my choices, decisions that I made because I didn't have
- 7:21Speaker 6: to do what I did, but I've done it because
- 7:24Speaker 6: I was selfish, I was powerful, and I was confrontational.
- 7:31Speaker 6: And then I look at now, it doesn't seem like
- 7:34Speaker 6: it's working because I wasn't there with her and my
- 7:39Speaker 6: sisters and my siblings when they were going through as
- 7:42Speaker 6: death process of family members past. And then I said that,
- 7:48Speaker 6: you know, you know, you give yourself these self talking
- 7:50Speaker 6: and stuff, and then you know, how can I better
- 7:54Speaker 6: my situation from me? What was my thinking during the
- 7:57Speaker 6: time that I went through these things? And like I said,
- 8:02Speaker 6: you go through these home having a brown Man tempotentium.
- 8:08Speaker 6: I had a bad man and I was in control
- 8:11Speaker 6: of myself and allowed my my my inner child to
- 8:16Speaker 6: take over the situation on my thinking, my my logic.
- 8:21Speaker 6: You know, everything out irrational and when you let the
- 8:24Speaker 6: irrational side and you let your emotions and dictate, uh,
- 8:28Speaker 6: the things that you do is always gonna come to
- 8:31Speaker 6: a figure. And and but there's growth in the mist
- 8:35Speaker 6: Thane and and my mother. It really made me take
- 8:42Speaker 6: a transition to want to be different. I don't want
- 8:45Speaker 6: to be the same individual that makes the same mistakes
- 8:50Speaker 6: and doing this this this, uh, this Ferris will or
- 8:56Speaker 6: we in in uh hamster will of a repeat cycles
- 9:00Speaker 6: the things I've done in my life and not being
- 9:03Speaker 6: a grown man, a human beings that ass off from
- 9:10Speaker 6: lotches emotion.
- 9:12Speaker 4: So do you think that God set you down for
- 9:18Speaker 4: a reason since you said you was? Have you always
- 9:22Speaker 4: been like that where you never thought thought stuff through?
- 9:27Speaker 4: Are you? You know? As they will say, hot headed
- 9:32Speaker 4: hot headed person?
- 9:36Speaker 6: I could say that these incidents that I've ever done
- 9:43Speaker 6: anything that caused me to take these unwanted trips because
- 9:48Speaker 6: these trips you take it. But doing these trips and
- 9:51Speaker 6: you take it, you know, there's always cusins that you
- 9:55Speaker 6: get behind these things, but you don't get it at
- 9:58Speaker 6: a particular time because the sentences be too short for
- 10:02Speaker 6: you to grow stuff. So if you get caught up
- 10:04Speaker 6: in Christian James prison activities, uh, mindset, but you really
- 10:11Speaker 6: learned the lessons down here. Uh I can say that
- 10:15Speaker 6: I'm not I'm a little bit different from other individuals because,
- 10:21Speaker 6: uh I seek education, I seek to better myself, but
- 10:26Speaker 6: folks do with implementations of the life skills that I'm
- 10:31Speaker 6: trying to gain from.
- 10:33Speaker 7: The videos of my walk.
- 10:35Speaker 6: I like to say, and everybody's got poked you know,
- 10:38Speaker 6: and the things that I chose to do myself. I
- 10:42Speaker 6: own up to all that because that's just part of yes,
- 10:46Speaker 6: me being hot headed. I can say that, U. I
- 10:49Speaker 6: let things piled up without addressing the actual issues. I
- 10:55Speaker 6: let things power up. And I had no police meganism
- 11:00Speaker 6: towards the stressed aspect of it and the puilding up
- 11:07Speaker 6: up to anger, not sitting with it in a positive life,
- 11:11Speaker 6: you know. And and and that's and that's the growth
- 11:14Speaker 6: part of things. And what you say, I allowed my
- 11:19Speaker 6: my my thought process to filter on the things that
- 11:23Speaker 6: I've done, and I'm filtered on others for a while.
- 11:26Speaker 6: And then as I'm thinking about it, I said it
- 11:30Speaker 6: to the side. But yet I never addressed the issues
- 11:34Speaker 6: and then kept poping up where I got in my feelings.
- 11:36Speaker 6: Once I got in my feelings about something, the way
- 11:40Speaker 6: that I repacted to you know, aught on the behavior, well, okay,
- 11:44Speaker 6: I got out of line, you know, to get overwhelmed.
- 11:51Speaker 6: Where I never dressed the issue in the first place.
- 11:54Speaker 6: I had no positive way to uh, to release uh
- 12:01Speaker 6: the things allowed to build up on me, you know.
- 12:04Speaker 6: And and then what what uh what I call that
- 12:09Speaker 6: in the physical that come out of it, I just
- 12:12Speaker 6: beat really I call him bersercle man because or the
- 12:16Speaker 6: effort do but because once you say efor if anything goes,
- 12:21Speaker 6: it's like, Okay, this is what you want, this is
- 12:24Speaker 6: what you want to bring out of me. So you
- 12:26Speaker 6: bring him out and how you say when people go
- 12:28Speaker 6: be small on stuff and but you know you're a
- 12:33Speaker 6: lot with this person to come out when you feel
- 12:35Speaker 6: like that he want to You want to deal with
- 12:38Speaker 6: the physical side of the inner term or that you
- 12:42Speaker 6: had pulled up from whatever you do. You allow the
- 12:45Speaker 6: individuals whom you around to put that on you to
- 12:49Speaker 6: you want to release it on them now because sometimes
- 12:52Speaker 6: it's like people take time in to weakness when you
- 12:56Speaker 6: when you when you look when you're doing things and
- 13:00Speaker 6: you're trying to be strong about it and you're trying
- 13:03Speaker 6: to do you're trying to deal with in a in
- 13:05Speaker 6: a lectual manner or in a proper way. Some people
- 13:09Speaker 6: don't relate to that because they take you as being
- 13:13Speaker 6: a house a sure.
- 13:16Speaker 4: So you know you by you saying that, you know
- 13:23Speaker 4: because of course you down in Texas and we just
- 13:28Speaker 4: had that high profile case Carmelo Anthony that took place
- 13:34Speaker 4: last week where the young young man was sentenced to
- 13:38Speaker 4: thirty five years and to Texas State Prison. Did you, guys,
- 13:45Speaker 4: did you follow his case or do you know somewhat
- 13:49Speaker 4: about his case because you were saying how basically people
- 13:55Speaker 4: was poking a bear and then once you just say
- 14:00Speaker 4: they kept poking at you and then you just like,
- 14:03Speaker 4: forget it. This is you're gonna fish to give them
- 14:06Speaker 4: what they wanted do. But have you followed his case?
- 14:12Speaker 4: That before we get into.
- 14:13Speaker 6: That the case and I looked at it as well.
- 14:17Speaker 6: Collins County. They can say it's not great to anything
- 14:20Speaker 6: like that, but the whole dishan court, the way that
- 14:23Speaker 6: they propecuted in that county. If you follow if you
- 14:26Speaker 6: follow the cities and guideline that any flat they went
- 14:29Speaker 6: through that county, you're gonna see that it's always harsh.
- 14:31Speaker 6: They're gonna get extreme numbers and stuff. You know, this
- 14:35Speaker 6: is what that county does. And it's always they say
- 14:38Speaker 6: race those and played a part in everything. It plays
- 14:41Speaker 6: a big part in everything. It was a high profile
- 14:44Speaker 6: case they made. They don't played it to say it
- 14:47Speaker 6: wasn't that, but it was that. You know, the skin
- 14:50Speaker 6: color is always cut, especially in that part of checking,
- 14:54Speaker 6: especially that county as it is, and I'm not I'm
- 14:57Speaker 6: not condoning the violent party, anything that happened. It's a
- 15:00Speaker 6: tragedy because they're still young men and both of them,
- 15:03Speaker 6: both of their families went through some traumatic thing with
- 15:07Speaker 6: the loss of a son. And then you get a
- 15:10Speaker 6: loss of a son forever, you get a loss of
- 15:12Speaker 6: a son. For of course he's still got a time
- 15:15Speaker 6: and you feel life with his family. But yet it's
- 15:17Speaker 6: still it's still was racial, you know, no matter how
- 15:20Speaker 6: you try to do it, any other man wouldn't go
- 15:23Speaker 6: through with the thing. He said, Yes, you punish him
- 15:27Speaker 6: for what he did, but you gave me a whole sentence,
- 15:30Speaker 6: you know, without without looking at the fact that it
- 15:34Speaker 6: ed on with a bifer individual. This individual was bigger
- 15:38Speaker 6: than him, you know, and it was he was racially outnumbered,
- 15:43Speaker 6: you know. And that's the point pictures, I was going
- 15:46Speaker 6: to try to make it look like it's not that,
- 15:48Speaker 6: and then when you got to realize, it's the theory
- 15:51Speaker 6: that the DA paint on the individual, and if he
- 15:55Speaker 6: want to make you look like a monster, it's gonna
- 15:57Speaker 6: make you look like a monster, you know. And that's
- 15:59Speaker 6: who they he did. They made the young man look
- 16:01Speaker 6: like a monster. He had a political career head of
- 16:06Speaker 6: and do the right thing. Yeah, it should have been
- 16:09Speaker 6: on one to de escalate the thing. But you got
- 16:12Speaker 6: his friends. You got you got the young white man
- 16:17Speaker 6: friends broking him on to do what he was doing
- 16:20Speaker 6: to the young black man when it was all behind
- 16:22Speaker 6: he was raining and sharing a spot where he wasn't
- 16:27Speaker 6: getting wet. There was nothing like that. You can see
- 16:29Speaker 6: that segregation. Now, I'm not gonna let this black guy
- 16:33Speaker 6: say hear us and all the stuff. Whatever the reason
- 16:36Speaker 6: or not still was. It's still these are young kids,
- 16:39Speaker 6: but some way in there that that it was. It
- 16:43Speaker 6: was a thing to keep them separating sea of jowing
- 16:46Speaker 6: together and have a comaraderie. If you go to the
- 16:49Speaker 6: dad school, if y'all go or whatever y'all is, your
- 16:52Speaker 6: camaraderie build camaraderie, It builds uh of friendship amongst amongst peers. Right,
- 17:00Speaker 6: you're competing together. That's an athlete Texas as about when
- 17:04Speaker 6: you're an athlete and you competing, it's still gonna be camaraderie.
- 17:08Speaker 6: It's gonna be dressed talking, but yet still not to
- 17:10Speaker 6: the point of what happened there.
- 17:12Speaker 4: So you know, right, you know we all do hate
- 17:17Speaker 4: the whole situation around it, and we also know that
- 17:22Speaker 4: race did play a big part of it, because if
- 17:26Speaker 4: you look at it, I believe it was the year
- 17:30Speaker 4: before this happened, to before this incident where a another
- 17:40Speaker 4: student from a different school, same county, different articity that
- 17:47Speaker 4: got un alive. He was Hispanic and the other one
- 17:53Speaker 4: that underlive them was Caucasian, and that instant, that young
- 18:01Speaker 4: man only got ten years, ten years, same county, same
- 18:10Speaker 4: I don't know if it was the judge, but it
- 18:13Speaker 4: was the same colin county. So, you know, for people
- 18:17Speaker 4: to say that it wasn't racing pay a factor in it,
- 18:24Speaker 4: how can you say, just a year ago, this young
- 18:30Speaker 4: man only got ten years and then you had this
- 18:34Speaker 4: young black man get thirty five years for standing his ground.
- 18:40Speaker 4: The other one from the only got ten years, said
- 18:43Speaker 4: he wanted to see the young man on life support,
- 18:47Speaker 4: and then two days later that happened. So how can
- 18:51Speaker 4: you say it's not racial motive behind that. You know,
- 18:56Speaker 4: I don't like that if the parents are getting like
- 19:03Speaker 4: comments sent to him that they they glad their son
- 19:07Speaker 4: is no longer here.
- 19:08Speaker 5: No, we don't. We don't say that.
- 19:11Speaker 4: We just we don't say that we're not calling wishing
- 19:17Speaker 4: that the little boy was unalive and all of that stuff,
- 19:21Speaker 4: because that's her fault as a parent that lost her son.
- 19:24Speaker 4: I celebrate. I would have celebrated my son. My son
- 19:27Speaker 4: would have celebrated his thirty fourth birthday this past this
- 19:34Speaker 4: past Thursday. And it hurts so bad that he's not here.
- 19:40Speaker 4: So I don't you know, I can only come talk
- 19:44Speaker 4: about that on that aspects high. It hurts. And of
- 19:49Speaker 4: course they should have taught their sons to keep your
- 19:53Speaker 4: hands to yourself. Go get a teacher. That's what I
- 19:57Speaker 4: would have said, you know, let's go get a teacher
- 19:59Speaker 4: and let the let the adult do deal with it,
- 20:03Speaker 4: not a student or a student, because you can't tell
- 20:07Speaker 4: me what to do. And if you put your hands
- 20:11Speaker 4: on me, I'm gonna defend you. Now, you know, I'm
- 20:15Speaker 4: seeing across the ethnic groups, all ethnic groups as well.
- 20:21Speaker 4: The parents failed him. The parents should have taught him
- 20:23Speaker 4: to keep his hands to hisself, or in other words,
- 20:30Speaker 4: that Carmelo should have bowled down. So in this situation,
- 20:35Speaker 4: how would you teach your son or are you would
- 20:37Speaker 4: you teach your son to walk away from stuff? To
- 20:40Speaker 4: bow down to another ethnic group or would you teach
- 20:44Speaker 4: them to stand their ground.
- 20:50Speaker 6: That suit. I talked to my song about the things
- 20:54Speaker 6: like this, and he had the situation that he's dealt with.
- 21:00Speaker 6: But I always I told him, you gotta outweigh the
- 21:04Speaker 6: consequences of whatever you're feels, get ready to do on
- 21:07Speaker 6: anything that you choose. You choose on that matter. It's work,
- 21:11Speaker 6: you know. So I have prompt through this with my
- 21:14Speaker 6: sons about what he should do and what he shouldn't do.
- 21:19Speaker 6: When he had in front with the situation where someone
- 21:21Speaker 6: is is like contentions, threatening him or trying to put violence.
- 21:28Speaker 6: If you can away, leave, I will always tell him
- 21:32Speaker 6: because as long as he ain't putting his hands on you,
- 21:36Speaker 6: walk away. Walk away. That's the practice that I practice
- 21:41Speaker 6: right now, even being in prison. I don't care what
- 21:43Speaker 6: you say, I don't care how you say it, just
- 21:46Speaker 6: don't touch me, you know. And we've got a lot
- 21:50Speaker 6: of people that they talk that though they talked to talk.
- 21:54Speaker 6: But I mean, like you said, words can't never hurt you.
- 21:59Speaker 6: You know, it doesn't make you a lesson of a
- 22:01Speaker 6: man if you walk away, you know, because you never
- 22:05Speaker 6: know what the circumstances will pray Because I think people
- 22:08Speaker 6: have frightful people and then they're getting stabbed. It hit
- 22:13Speaker 6: with a tan mode. They hit the person. The person
- 22:16Speaker 6: hit his head and he died, you know, they they
- 22:20Speaker 6: it's these scenarios that you don't know what the outcome
- 22:24Speaker 6: is gonna be if you if you reach that situation
- 22:28Speaker 6: and you take it on here and on and and
- 22:31Speaker 6: and using violence with violence, you know, and you got
- 22:35Speaker 6: a right to depict yourself. I mean in in prison
- 22:38Speaker 6: they tell you, uh, he hits you further, you know,
- 22:44Speaker 6: they want you the love of person to hit you
- 22:47Speaker 6: or putty day like that, which I'm not gonna never
- 22:50Speaker 6: allow nobody hit me because I'm not gonna do that.
- 22:54Speaker 6: I'm gonna training martial arts box and uh you know
- 22:58Speaker 6: hand and hand combat. I know how tread myself. But
- 23:01Speaker 6: it's the same token as long as you don't touch me.
- 23:04Speaker 6: It looks to say anything, you know, So let him
- 23:07Speaker 6: have his moment. It's not that big a mean, okayway, So.
- 23:14Speaker 4: That's what we had a question come up. I got
- 23:19Speaker 4: let me see if I can pull that question up.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Wonder you know what if your life was at stake,
- 23:26Speaker 4: would you know if you being if you fear for
- 23:30Speaker 4: your life if you have four people, if it's four
- 23:34Speaker 4: people against you and there's no way out, they circle
- 23:39Speaker 4: around you.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Then what then what?
- 23:41Speaker 5: What? What would you do?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Then?
- 23:44Speaker 4: What? You know, are we teaching our kids just to
- 23:47Speaker 4: just just to get jumped or fight their way out
- 23:53Speaker 4: of a situation.
- 23:57Speaker 6: I mean, if you got four or five people trying
- 24:01Speaker 6: to do some things that they do is wrong. I mean, uh,
- 24:05Speaker 6: it's like like flight would want to be rich rich
- 24:11Speaker 6: trying to do that. You come on, just I wouldn't.
- 24:14Speaker 6: Like I was telling my son, if it's too many people,
- 24:16Speaker 6: you feel like it's gonna be a situation wrong. It's
- 24:19Speaker 6: goun to make you lessen the man to wrong. But
- 24:22Speaker 6: like I said, I was, I was faked a certain
- 24:24Speaker 6: like that with my individual case. You know, Uh, my stepson,
- 24:30Speaker 6: his friends told to me at my house and his
- 24:33Speaker 6: mama was arguing and he had a gun. So his
- 24:38Speaker 6: friends had guns. So what am I gonna do? You know,
- 24:43Speaker 6: I wouldn't got my gun.
- 24:45Speaker 4: You know, I just had to come on, I just
- 24:48Speaker 4: got to say something. I gotta say something because Carmelo
- 24:53Speaker 4: Anthony's case, it's just not like that. You know, this
- 24:56Speaker 4: baby was sitting down, he was on the phone, he
- 25:00Speaker 4: was minding his business.
- 25:01Speaker 5: He was just getting out of the elements.
- 25:03Speaker 4: And these four big burly men, because that's what you
- 25:09Speaker 4: would call them. These guys were six foot one, two
- 25:12Speaker 4: hundred and twenty five pounds.
- 25:14Speaker 5: They walked up to him, surrounding him. At that time,
- 25:17Speaker 5: we didn't know he suffered from epilepsy. He just had
- 25:21Speaker 5: to show of the injury and all of these things
- 25:23Speaker 5: was going on. We don't know what was going on
- 25:25Speaker 5: in his mind. Would somebody approach you, and then not
- 25:28Speaker 5: only that, there's evidence that shows that he was attacked.
- 25:32Speaker 5: He wouldn't just approach. He was attacked.
- 25:36Speaker 4: And if they released the footage and we woke them too,
- 25:39Speaker 4: if they released the footage, we all can see and
- 25:42Speaker 4: we'll all know the truth.
- 25:44Speaker 5: But if we teach our kids to walk away, then
- 25:48Speaker 5: it ends up happening.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Cyrus Belton, he ran away and he got gunned down
- 25:53Speaker 4: by Rick Child.
- 25:55Speaker 5: And then you talk about another young lady, she got
- 25:57Speaker 5: on TikTok.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Have to tell her story. She taught her child to
- 26:02Speaker 4: walk away. Her child walked away and he's no longer here.
- 26:07Speaker 4: But we can't keep walking away when these people are
- 26:10Speaker 4: bullying us and taking advantage of us and that's what
- 26:13Speaker 4: happened to Carmelo.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Camello is one hundred and thirty pounds five foot eight.
- 26:20Speaker 4: These twins approached him with their two friends and they
- 26:24Speaker 4: threatened him. They wanted to remove him. He has no
- 26:27Speaker 4: problem with authority because they was in the dugout earlier.
- 26:31Speaker 4: The coach asked them why were they in the dugout?
- 26:33Speaker 4: And for them to leave the dugout? And what did
- 26:36Speaker 4: they do? They left the dugout, So he has no
- 26:38Speaker 4: problem with following authority. But you can't approach somebody and
- 26:43Speaker 4: and make them move. They wanted to move that child,
- 26:48Speaker 4: and that was not right. He stood his ground and
- 26:51Speaker 4: looked what happened to him.
- 26:59Speaker 6: Can't they're still teaching separation and and not not in
- 27:06Speaker 6: their account. You gotta look at this. Although this is
- 27:09Speaker 6: the thing about when you come into the court system,
- 27:12Speaker 6: they're gonna paint you in as the business. They're always
- 27:15Speaker 6: gonna look at the club of the individuals. They're still
- 27:17Speaker 6: gonna paint you as being appressive. Hope, they're gonna paint
- 27:20Speaker 6: you as They're gonna paint you as anythink other than
- 27:23Speaker 6: being kind, being uh intellectual. They're gonna make you look
- 27:27Speaker 6: like a master and that's what they made him look like.
- 27:30Speaker 6: You know, you're not gonna be the same individual once
- 27:33Speaker 6: the constitution pain a theory about you of who you who.
- 27:36Speaker 6: They feel like the jury is gonna convict you all
- 27:41Speaker 6: because they keep to paint this narrative about who they who.
- 27:45Speaker 6: They feel like that you want to get a conviction.
- 27:49Speaker 6: It ain't about doing right and wrong. First, stain of
- 27:52Speaker 6: the competitions and post look for everything for the fruit.
- 27:57Speaker 6: You know, the pad. If there's something that's better innoce,
- 28:01Speaker 6: they supposed to give it to you. They're supposed to help.
- 28:04Speaker 6: They don't do that. There's no there's no justice in
- 28:07Speaker 6: the justice system. It's always say injustice want to come
- 28:10Speaker 6: to us. He's not gonna get the fair of shape.
- 28:13Speaker 6: A black man is not going to get the fair
- 28:15Speaker 6: shake in the justice system of texting us. It's just
- 28:19Speaker 6: just how it is. And it's like that for a
- 28:22Speaker 6: long time with a lot of us that got these
- 28:24Speaker 6: wrong think sentences, these harsh punishments they give us. It's
- 28:31Speaker 6: never gonna be right for us. And that's to fix
- 28:34Speaker 6: the system. To prepare being prompt you instead of being racist.
- 28:38Speaker 6: Advice on all points and all the time when it
- 28:41Speaker 6: coached the individuals doing certain dings that this young man
- 28:44Speaker 6: was put in. You said, you put in the situation
- 28:47Speaker 6: where he had defended them.
- 28:49Speaker 5: He never had a chance.
- 28:50Speaker 4: He never had a chance. It was from the beginning.
- 28:53Speaker 4: It was a setup, from the beginning. It was a
- 28:56Speaker 4: straight setup. They coached those kids, They told those kids
- 29:00Speaker 4: what to say. They got on the stand and they lied,
- 29:04Speaker 4: and then they were caught in lies.
- 29:06Speaker 6: They were caught in lies, and they still allowed them to.
- 29:13Speaker 5: Go forth with those lies.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Eddie p got understand and said he didn't know Camelo
- 29:19Speaker 4: when he was the one that invited Camelo up under
- 29:22Speaker 4: the tent. He was the one over there talking to Kamelo.
- 29:24Speaker 4: And then when the defense pulled out all the pictures
- 29:27Speaker 4: and showed that they knew each other and been knowing
- 29:29Speaker 4: each other for a while. How can y'all go to
- 29:32Speaker 4: your grandmama's birthday celebration, I mean his girlfriend's grandmother's birthday celebrations.
- 29:37Speaker 4: They at the house together, they out at events together.
- 29:40Speaker 4: But you don't know me. And they allowed him to
- 29:42Speaker 4: sit on that stand and lie. Those people lie, and
- 29:45Speaker 4: they put all.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Of this against that baby.
- 29:48Speaker 4: They never gave him a chance to tell his side
- 29:51Speaker 4: of the story. He's gonna call back, is gonna call
- 30:02Speaker 4: us back so we can finish this conversation. They never
- 30:09Speaker 4: he never had a chance. He never had a chance.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Everything was set up against him. And I just said,
- 30:18Speaker 4: failed him. They failed him. They did not do anything
- 30:22Speaker 4: to protect that baby.
- 30:23Speaker 5: They did not They did not humanize him. They made him.
- 30:28Speaker 4: They allowed the prosecution to pro to to to paint
- 30:32Speaker 4: up narrative, to paint a picture, and they never tried
- 30:35Speaker 4: to disnounce that.
- 30:37Speaker 5: And that's what all.
- 30:39Speaker 4: That's what Casey was just saying. That's what all of
- 30:42Speaker 4: the black men that's in Texas, that face that that
- 30:45Speaker 4: goes into them court rooms, they're going to they paint
- 30:50Speaker 4: them to look like monsters. They paint they paint the
- 30:56Speaker 4: black man's to look like monsters. They do that in
- 31:00Speaker 4: every all over. The people don't believe. People do not
- 31:06Speaker 4: believe that these people got a handbook. They got a handble,
- 31:10Speaker 4: And it is known that these people got a handbook
- 31:12Speaker 4: that they operate by. And one of the things that
- 31:15Speaker 4: that that's inside of the handble is to make sure
- 31:18Speaker 4: that there's an all.
- 31:19Speaker 5: White Jerry and that they keep people outside of you.
- 31:23Speaker 5: If you if you've ever heard Cornell's story.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Cornell's story is just like his story. His story, Cornell's
- 31:33Speaker 4: story is the exact same thing that Carmelo.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Anthony is going through.
- 31:38Speaker 4: But this time Cormelo got some people on the outside
- 31:42Speaker 4: that's fighting for him.
- 31:43Speaker 5: He got the whole nation looking Cornell.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Them didn't have that because when Cornell went to prison,
- 31:49Speaker 4: he had the same thing.
- 31:50Speaker 5: All white Jerry.
- 31:51Speaker 4: They kept everybody out of the courtroom when nobody in
- 31:55Speaker 4: there but a whole bunch of white people. And the
- 31:57Speaker 4: same thing happened to him, and the same anything have
- 32:00Speaker 4: to do a lot of these people. They talk about
- 32:03Speaker 4: these white jurys, and that's what they did. They railroad
- 32:07Speaker 4: our babies. Well, and.
- 32:10Speaker 5: We have we have ksey backs.
- 32:13Speaker 4: And he said that they did him the same way.
- 32:19Speaker 4: They did him the same.
- 32:23Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the thing about it. They get you. I
- 32:25Speaker 6: had an attorney prior to the attorney that that that
- 32:29Speaker 6: that took over my case. The loader' telling me about
- 32:33Speaker 6: to talk to somebody will say anything. Okay, I tell
- 32:36Speaker 6: the boy you came to see me. I tell them
- 32:40Speaker 6: my daughter of the attorney. He said, look, you can't
- 32:43Speaker 6: doing what I can do for your home, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 6: see that atturney again. I'm a people for free the
- 32:52Speaker 6: case that ya the your case the body can do
- 32:59Speaker 6: for you. That courba on me, he got me fifty
- 33:03Speaker 6: aggravated years. Things going on that CLI wrong should have
- 33:07Speaker 6: been corner. The man did not do anything for my case.
- 33:10Speaker 6: He used to DA files and DA evidence to fight
- 33:13Speaker 6: my case. He justn't brought nothing that he did, no
- 33:16Speaker 6: type of personal research to fight my case. He was
- 33:20Speaker 6: teaching them because he was convicting me, how to fight
- 33:23Speaker 6: my case. The thing that was going on outside of
- 33:26Speaker 6: the jury that they wouldn't let the jeury You know
- 33:29Speaker 6: that my stepson and his friends was was was painting numbers.
- 33:33Speaker 6: They told me that I not saying nothing about them
- 33:36Speaker 6: being gag numbers to coach them against me doing that thing.
- 33:40Speaker 6: They coached the police officers that prostic still was against me.
- 33:44Speaker 6: Uh uh. The coach stem on the on what to
- 33:47Speaker 6: do everything that they do that it's it's like that
- 33:54Speaker 6: you don't understand was going on my constitution, right, I
- 33:59Speaker 6: know they're going walks and then when he sits there
- 34:02Speaker 6: and was telling them on how to do my jury charge,
- 34:05Speaker 6: he was showing the DASY in the presentations that they
- 34:12Speaker 6: were about to dial the jury and the jury charges
- 34:16Speaker 6: against me. When I start questioning him about it, he
- 34:20Speaker 6: made to kill them take me out the courtroom. This
- 34:23Speaker 6: is my trial, but you take me out the tutboom
- 34:26Speaker 6: when you're caring, when you're preparing my jeury charges to
- 34:31Speaker 6: reflect something that you want to convict me on. And
- 34:36Speaker 6: I'm hearing this from this man and and you don't
- 34:39Speaker 6: want me to say another body, so you you squot
- 34:42Speaker 6: me out when you companying that. And then when the
- 34:45Speaker 6: jelus came back, interferied with the step find and the jury.
- 34:49Speaker 6: They wanted to see you want to hear testimonies of
- 34:52Speaker 6: the witnesses doing my trial. But they didn't get to
- 34:54Speaker 6: hit the testimony the witness somebody because she persuaded them
- 34:59Speaker 6: to God with the finding. I can't pull that information out.
- 35:05Speaker 6: The coltor cod k pulled it out. Uh, there's too
- 35:08Speaker 6: much he had the great people know to did it.
- 35:11Speaker 6: Wants to lay in your finding other fact because they
- 35:14Speaker 6: they they was they was conflicted on the testimony uh
- 35:18Speaker 6: one of the witnesses because one of the witnesses that
- 35:21Speaker 6: they had he was also somebody they had charge that
- 35:25Speaker 6: I was charged against. Where the uh was shooting. He
- 35:30Speaker 6: was saying that he was closer. I'm saying, I'm saying
- 35:33Speaker 6: he said he was away for my neighbor to say
- 35:37Speaker 6: he was right there in my driveway taking me will
- 35:40Speaker 6: to come and he was starting to shoot me and
- 35:42Speaker 6: kill me.
- 35:43Speaker 7: And he tell and he's telling them my neighborhood he
- 35:46Speaker 7: was uh uh e f P.
- 35:48Speaker 6: In the air force. He's telling him that I heard
- 35:50Speaker 6: him say that I'm gonna shoot you. I'm going to
- 35:52Speaker 6: kill you. And then they wanted to look at they
- 35:55Speaker 6: wanted to look at the neighbor testimony and and and
- 35:58Speaker 6: my my said, gonna trend testimony. They want to look
- 36:02Speaker 6: at that for them, And but you can't get to
- 36:04Speaker 6: see that testimony. I got found guilty for this, you know,
- 36:08Speaker 6: and that testimony will approve that my neighbor and my
- 36:11Speaker 6: and my statement with the exact same thing, you know.
- 36:15Speaker 6: But they do that. They don't want to you to
- 36:18Speaker 6: be coming out of anything. They don't always think us
- 36:21Speaker 6: being They're gonna paint the person that's on child of
- 36:27Speaker 6: the monster. That's the hard thing about it. How can
- 36:29Speaker 6: we get the conviction and you got you got the
- 36:32Speaker 6: whole element of the court room against you. If you
- 36:34Speaker 6: don't navel l it's gonna use the four gunner against
- 36:38Speaker 6: you to get the conviction that they want on you.
- 36:40Speaker 6: It's that's what they want out of there, you know.
- 36:42Speaker 6: If that's trying to think. But it's no permis in
- 36:45Speaker 6: the courtroom when it comes to us as being the
- 36:48Speaker 6: men of Clint in that courtroom, especially when you've got
- 36:52Speaker 6: all these eight people in there against you. You know,
- 36:57Speaker 6: how how do you find it? System? Much that fair?
- 37:00Speaker 6: It's not said to be fair, you know. And I'm
- 37:03Speaker 6: not crying about nothing about what I'm doing. I'm teasing
- 37:06Speaker 6: just the elseess of what it is to be got
- 37:07Speaker 6: to protecting it. They got an injustice that continue to
- 37:11Speaker 6: go on and stay high. Young men of cover dects
- 37:16Speaker 6: in prison. And we shouldn't be doing that, you know,
- 37:19Speaker 6: the administration in Texas and then that and just have
- 37:23Speaker 6: the control of the physicistem It's it's like this, it's bucking.
- 37:28Speaker 6: It's a bucking system. This system has been looking for
- 37:31Speaker 6: a long time. It's time for to be it's time
- 37:33Speaker 6: for to be fixed. But how do you fix that?
- 37:38Speaker 6: You go fixing that. You fix it with the legislation.
- 37:41Speaker 6: You're fixing with the congressman's that you got in there,
- 37:44Speaker 6: they got, they got even the bills they can put
- 37:47Speaker 6: up for justice. You're found if they doesn't want to
- 37:50Speaker 6: pay for some reason, trying to funny stops everything when
- 37:53Speaker 6: it comes to just reform and anything. Time trying to
- 37:58Speaker 6: Texas usually following, but Texas is his own woted for
- 38:03Speaker 6: the long time.
- 38:04Speaker 4: You know, I heard that California. A lot of states
- 38:09Speaker 4: followed after calor California. Colorado is another state that follow
- 38:15Speaker 4: after California laws.
- 38:22Speaker 6: They got more than California. Such fans. But you start
- 38:25Speaker 6: getting credit, put time, credit, your time down hell Colorado
- 38:29Speaker 6: do that. They give you all your time and solf
- 38:33Speaker 6: I just keep this all the tip of Champa, Texas.
- 38:38Speaker 6: Who can come to an industriever, remember president of corporation
- 38:44Speaker 6: is then stirs. How can we access the most see
- 38:48Speaker 6: out of kidding so we can make coffit, We can
- 38:51Speaker 6: make some kind of incentives investors that in this industry
- 38:57Speaker 6: because it is on the stock market. Everything prison wanna
- 39:00Speaker 6: stop marketing. You're making your finishes, you're making you got phones.
- 39:05Speaker 6: You the agriculture with the cows and the pigs, the chickens,
- 39:10Speaker 6: it's it's it's the business. You've got you got all
- 39:14Speaker 6: or you got paf toples. So the motives that they
- 39:19Speaker 6: set the make them prison and they setting the motels
- 39:23Speaker 6: in the world. You know, everything everything that they got
- 39:26Speaker 6: going on is uill the security ever uh everything from
- 39:32Speaker 6: Louise tests, the visions and now they come up where
- 39:36Speaker 6: you can have uh peice time. They're gonna pay you
- 39:41Speaker 6: charge you talk to me a minute. Uh, we're working.
- 39:44Speaker 6: Know what the charge is going to be your go
- 39:46Speaker 6: be FaceTime. It's not always hopping squeeze more money out
- 39:49Speaker 6: of the semi you know. If you we're playing for
- 39:52Speaker 6: everything pou padio business, your pa you know, and if
- 39:56Speaker 6: and if you're going to come down here to visit you,
- 40:00Speaker 6: they can the machines and they're paying for the expensive
- 40:03Speaker 6: gas right again on everything. You know, prison is on
- 40:07Speaker 6: the one benefits. Our family is already is you know,
- 40:15Speaker 6: been taking advantage of what the course system all the
- 40:18Speaker 6: way to the prison system in the pipeline. What is it?
- 40:21Speaker 6: It's money. I'll come get money, you know.
- 40:27Speaker 4: Okay, you know I have a I have a question
- 40:31Speaker 4: for you, and I think everybody would like to know.
- 40:34Speaker 4: You know, a lot of people that I had seen
- 40:40Speaker 4: on Facebook on the other side. That doesn't that agree
- 40:44Speaker 4: with the verdict that came down. And they're wishing harm
- 40:48Speaker 4: against Carmelo. Why he you know, hoping that something happened
- 40:54Speaker 4: to him? Can you tell us or will he be
- 41:02Speaker 4: protected or you know what? Would they let someone that
- 41:07Speaker 4: have harm against you know, have something out for him
- 41:12Speaker 4: getting near him?
- 41:15Speaker 6: And he's not ain't nothing don't happen to him. He's
- 41:17Speaker 6: not gonna The only thing came Olo gotta do is
- 41:20Speaker 6: go in and align himself just to him. Don't be
- 41:25Speaker 6: involved in on the gang stuff. Don't get involved in
- 41:28Speaker 6: the other the prison didn't like by the culture because
- 41:35Speaker 6: you know Prittain has it's gonna coach Longes. He goes
- 41:39Speaker 6: in there, he getting in case. He still pursue part
- 41:42Speaker 6: of his dream and he can come out of best Man.
- 41:46Speaker 6: But he got to have a mentor he got to
- 41:49Speaker 6: have someone that he can fall to that that's gonna
- 41:53Speaker 6: help him get a path to stay on the white
- 41:56Speaker 6: on the white foot. Don't get involved with people gonna
- 41:59Speaker 6: take advantage because you got five the brother you got
- 42:03Speaker 6: breathers that in here. Young Uh. If you can't fight,
- 42:06Speaker 6: if you can't fish again, you got presidents. You know,
- 42:10Speaker 6: you got people then that that goes after the SA
- 42:13Speaker 6: business if they better take fanis. But you got a
- 42:17Speaker 6: lot of people in here that really they they take
- 42:21Speaker 6: up for people like him. And he I mean, you know,
- 42:26Speaker 6: he's just he just got to be able to be
- 42:28Speaker 6: have the right people put him in the right direction.
- 42:30Speaker 6: He can feel good. People come up to see a
- 42:33Speaker 6: strong and better man, you know. But it's just on
- 42:36Speaker 6: what he invested in White. You got to invest in yourself.
- 42:40Speaker 6: You gotta be willing want to be better and not
- 42:43Speaker 6: to come out with because like you said, Briston is
- 42:47Speaker 6: his own university and it's all you can see whatever
- 42:51Speaker 6: you want to be in here, but you gotta you
- 42:53Speaker 6: gotta put foot whoever don't put forward into the direction
- 42:58Speaker 6: that you uh type individuals that you want to be become. Yeah,
- 43:03Speaker 6: that's not always because if I talk to a young
- 43:06Speaker 6: white call or, I will tell him first ball and
- 43:08Speaker 6: I'll tell his family, Uh, find something positive in education
- 43:15Speaker 6: in the department to go to college, get his degree.
- 43:20Speaker 6: He's still after that. Uh, he can still get a trade,
- 43:25Speaker 6: you know, find something keep busy in the positive side,
- 43:29Speaker 6: you know, stay away from gambling, stay away from gang members,
- 43:33Speaker 6: stay away from the drugs, they'll away from the homosexuality
- 43:37Speaker 6: and that. I mean, he's to say that, but he's
- 43:40Speaker 6: it's it's a lot of aid and stuff. Yeah, and
- 43:42Speaker 6: there's a lot of there's a lot of unstaked sake
- 43:45Speaker 6: going on in prison. But he's still gonna affect society
- 43:48Speaker 6: when he hit the business come out and they try
- 43:50Speaker 6: to get him a female owns because you're not killing
- 43:53Speaker 6: them a kidneys that you're doing in prison. It's a
- 43:56Speaker 6: lot of unsad stuff in here, you know. So it's
- 43:59Speaker 6: just you've got to I mean, and don't okay out
- 44:04Speaker 6: my my statement the wrong way when I said like that.
- 44:07Speaker 7: I know where uh.
- 44:12Speaker 6: President, in any indivision, that lifestyle and the trans lifestyle
- 44:17Speaker 6: is here. It's always gonna be here. It's in my
- 44:20Speaker 6: family all that I love my family members and within
- 44:24Speaker 6: the lifestyle, and I'm not gonna never deny them the
- 44:27Speaker 6: love that I have for them. And it's still that
- 44:30Speaker 6: I'm a lot of friends that it's still you know,
- 44:34Speaker 6: that's still in that lifestyle. But it's not gonna make
- 44:38Speaker 6: you be a part of it. You don't want to
- 44:39Speaker 6: be a part of that type of stuff, you know,
- 44:41Speaker 6: But you gotta go in here. You gotta walk until
- 44:43Speaker 6: you're walking there become. You gotta walk into that moment.
- 44:48Speaker 6: You know you can come off shining in here. And uh,
- 44:51Speaker 6: you just gotta know what you align yourself with. You
- 44:54Speaker 6: gotta line yourself with the tech minded seat. You gotta
- 44:57Speaker 6: say be better better. Yeah, Okay, I just I just want,
- 45:04Speaker 6: I just want comellas. Just just to stay away from
- 45:09Speaker 6: stay away from doing anything. Don't get vaunted, don't be
- 45:12Speaker 6: don't get depressed because you got the time. Don't following
- 45:16Speaker 6: the drugs because people was try they try to push
- 45:21Speaker 6: upon him and sue the drugs. Hey man, didn't help
- 45:24Speaker 6: you escape? Hey man, do this. Man, I've seen too
- 45:27Speaker 6: many people die here. Yeah, last year or twenty eight
- 45:31Speaker 6: people died of my Take two drugs. It's killing people.
- 45:37Speaker 6: They need to sign a solution to stop the guards
- 45:39Speaker 6: from bringing the drugs to the prisoners. They need to
- 45:42Speaker 6: kind of solutions to stop bringing the cell phones toison.
- 45:45Speaker 6: It's a huntle game. Any work in two thousand and
- 45:48Speaker 6: three thousand dollars for a clip pon the Take two
- 45:52Speaker 6: is killing too many jumpsters and deal keep bout the drugs,
- 45:55Speaker 6: the drugs for killers. I need to him that I
- 46:00Speaker 6: that I associated with and being around and now it did.
- 46:06Speaker 6: And then they telling them that it died on the
- 46:08Speaker 6: place to the hospital when they was already dead in
- 46:11Speaker 6: the first place. I see one, you young man, that
- 46:15Speaker 6: I that that out of Houston, that I that I
- 46:17Speaker 6: that I really talked to a lot. I'm in the Thermany.
- 46:23Speaker 6: They got in on a Friday. They kept me as
- 46:25Speaker 6: a firmity until a Sunday until they got him away.
- 46:29Speaker 6: They that they was trying to say already dead when
- 46:32Speaker 6: they brought him in and dead for for hour. Guys
- 46:35Speaker 6: on the part knew he was saying for some out,
- 46:37Speaker 6: but nobody told. Nobody told because that this man was having.
- 46:43Speaker 7: Popped and seeing him die. They see him die and
- 46:48Speaker 7: he died. I see dona di people died on their
- 46:53Speaker 7: They just go get no help and not sitting the
- 46:56Speaker 7: dead just another guy dead is the pupil for two
- 47:01Speaker 7: hours of weakness and got help and then you sit
- 47:07Speaker 7: there watching TV like nothing never happened, nothing going on
- 47:10Speaker 7: up there.
- 47:13Speaker 6: But guy wouldn't got no help. PID somebody from another
- 47:16Speaker 6: part of WoT help you know that rand is dead?
- 47:21Speaker 5: M yes, that that.
- 47:26Speaker 6: I can say. There's a numbers and in putting the
- 47:31Speaker 6: two individuals to struggles with with with addiction, uh, with
- 47:37Speaker 6: pop and people will and if you say something to
- 47:41Speaker 6: go get help for them. They want to. Maybe you asmissed.
- 47:44Speaker 6: If she's gonna tell us, then the help beside or
- 47:48Speaker 6: be dead. You know. I had a guide in that
- 47:52Speaker 6: had a heart attack that was on the side of me.
- 47:56Speaker 6: I don't know what they need it up and take
- 47:59Speaker 6: the top something to watch movie on my task. He
- 48:02Speaker 6: told me that he was having a problems. He haveing
- 48:04Speaker 6: pain on his left side and stuff. Oh he jump
- 48:07Speaker 6: and go see faces. He said, just can you look
- 48:10Speaker 6: at it, just make sure I'm all right. Yeah. So
- 48:14Speaker 6: about a hour later I get up. I looked at him,
- 48:17Speaker 6: he's all right. But when I come back from getting
- 48:20Speaker 6: water and I looked at him, he dropped in my
- 48:22Speaker 6: fish and I and I said, and I said, you know,
- 48:25Speaker 6: I called his name. I said, yo okay, man, yokay.
- 48:28Speaker 6: I went into his suple and I see him turn purtple,
- 48:32Speaker 6: and I seen he was struggling reading. So I hollered
- 48:34Speaker 6: for a funny trend of my I tell him may crow,
- 48:38Speaker 6: tell them, tell him get the firmery, telling to bring
- 48:41Speaker 6: his the populator. I said, believe my friends. And I
- 48:44Speaker 6: said his name, I said, believe having a heart tap.
- 48:46Speaker 6: I believe having a heart attack. I said, get him.
- 48:48Speaker 6: And I watched this man and I'm looking at him,
- 48:51Speaker 6: and his tears just rolled out in the corner of
- 48:54Speaker 6: his left eye. Said he excell And I's like I
- 48:59Speaker 6: see he like or shaddle come U out of shot.
- 49:06Speaker 6: And I said, oh, hit him now, and hit him
- 49:10Speaker 6: hard in the set. And I wanted to start getting
- 49:12Speaker 6: the CP off. And I'm hollering for somebody to help
- 49:15Speaker 6: me to bring them back. Said man, I need somebody
- 49:18Speaker 6: else to come help me. Man, I said. I said,
- 49:20Speaker 6: I messed up right there, Man, I said, I wanted.
- 49:23Speaker 6: I said, watched some time, man, I said, I said,
- 49:25Speaker 6: he died on me. Man, somebody come here and getting
- 49:27Speaker 6: keep you off. And then they these skilled ministers and
- 49:32Speaker 6: people just supposed to help me. They tell me take
- 49:34Speaker 6: to get out of there. They go to give you
- 49:38Speaker 6: a pass of being there to be good, and you
- 49:39Speaker 6: in there there gonna right here up. I can shut
- 49:42Speaker 6: up and put I'm trying to save my friend do
- 49:45Speaker 6: it alone. And and and you know, then another uh
- 49:50Speaker 6: appear educator came over there. He started helping me give
- 49:52Speaker 6: me the CP off and I just kept so spit
- 49:55Speaker 6: and I was so shocked by what I witnessed right then,
- 49:59Speaker 6: and said, you know, uh, you know, the man getting
- 50:02Speaker 6: ready to do the CP we get out the way,
- 50:06Speaker 6: we grabbed him. We put them on the court. The
- 50:09Speaker 6: other you had two of the inmates in the truck
- 50:12Speaker 6: and I'm in the backroom and God took over for
- 50:16Speaker 6: me with the CPR. He get from the car, but
- 50:18Speaker 6: he he jumped back. He came back, but he gas forever.
- 50:22Speaker 6: So we take off running outside of the door and
- 50:25Speaker 6: trying to meet them, meet the medical staff. So when
- 50:28Speaker 6: we're running out the door, the medical staff coming in,
- 50:31Speaker 6: it has stipulating stuff. They put the oxen on him
- 50:33Speaker 6: and they took over. But got people. They go no,
- 50:37Speaker 6: they to like that if you're even helping them systebody,
- 50:40Speaker 6: trying to pave their life, that you're going to get
- 50:42Speaker 6: in trouble for it. And it just sounds so supy
- 50:44Speaker 6: to me when you see someone that that that that
- 50:48Speaker 6: you've been in friends with for years, because I've been
- 50:50Speaker 6: knowing this missister twenty twelve and and that the friends.
- 50:56Speaker 6: But that's because you pick you healthy. You may not
- 50:59Speaker 6: be healthy this man work out every day or every
- 51:02Speaker 6: other day. He's always doing exercise. Yeah, called his heart
- 51:08Speaker 6: his heart he had, Yeah, twenty minutes without well he
- 51:23Speaker 6: came backs.
- 51:27Speaker 4: Man, Yes he was.
- 51:30Speaker 6: Yeah, go call it home.
- 51:32Speaker 4: So on this note, I just you know, I want
- 51:39Speaker 4: to and because we were over, were way over our time,
- 51:45Speaker 4: and I just want to thank you Casey so much
- 51:49Speaker 4: for joining me on tonight and Angela for popping in
- 51:54Speaker 4: on us and stuff and getting out some questions. My
- 51:58Speaker 4: question is for everyone, what do we do? How do
- 52:04Speaker 4: we tell our young brown and black children to How
- 52:13Speaker 4: do we tell them to walk away? Or do we
- 52:15Speaker 4: tell them to stand their ground? And my and we
- 52:19Speaker 4: heard what Casey thought on it. My personal belief is
- 52:28Speaker 4: that I don't want my grandchildren to bow down to
- 52:33Speaker 4: know man, because we're not supposed to about a man.
- 52:38Speaker 4: The only man we're gonna they're gonna bow to is
- 52:41Speaker 4: their heavenly, heavenly father, you know. And if I'm wrong
- 52:46Speaker 4: in that instance, then hey, so you know, we're not
- 52:51Speaker 4: bowing because they're not inferior. Are They're not more than
- 52:58Speaker 4: our children? And that's what's going on now. I've seen
- 53:03Speaker 4: a lot of different ethnic groups approaching our young black
- 53:09Speaker 4: men and women. You know, parents, it starts in the house.
- 53:15Speaker 4: It starts in the house. You have to teach your
- 53:18Speaker 4: children that everybody is not going to allow them in
- 53:22Speaker 4: their space, and they shouldn't be in nobody else's space.
- 53:28Speaker 4: That's that's it.
- 53:30Speaker 1: That's it.
- 53:30Speaker 4: And all stay out of people play, stay out of
- 53:33Speaker 4: people spaces because some of these children are being taught
- 53:41Speaker 4: to hit back, defend theirselves. Casey, do you have anything
- 53:48Speaker 4: to say? Any last words? Angela, do you have any
- 53:52Speaker 4: last words?
- 53:55Speaker 6: I got gonna say. This is what I'm gonna say. O.
- 54:02Speaker 6: Luther King had a vision of dreams of America. We
- 54:06Speaker 6: were hidden in that direction. But now American is reversing
- 54:11Speaker 6: back to where we have grown supposed to have seemed
- 54:15Speaker 6: to be. It's the racial mio has been put into
- 54:20Speaker 6: the consciousness of of Americans. We need to look at
- 54:25Speaker 6: what it is our mother country is being an American.
- 54:29Speaker 6: You custom, there's a bunch of ethnicticity type of books
- 54:33Speaker 6: be there. That's what it made, is made on immigrants.
- 54:37Speaker 6: That's the background of our country. But yet and still
- 54:41Speaker 6: we still want them practice. That's the iciousness of racism.
- 54:46Speaker 6: The tribes, society and our kids and stuff. Like the
- 54:48Speaker 6: cit Why can't we just love one another and beat
- 54:53Speaker 6: them like we're supposed to be and be country men
- 54:57Speaker 6: said for all, it's a time. You keep us separating
- 55:03Speaker 6: the time and we can't really address the issues and
- 55:07Speaker 6: go along with the business that's going on in America today.
- 55:11Speaker 6: The money is being pulled up out of here the
- 55:18Speaker 6: middle classes and struggling when we're gonna stand dripping back
- 55:23Speaker 6: into until our culture, into our people in the rich.
- 55:26Speaker 6: They of what we're supposed to be as the nations.
- 55:31Speaker 6: Let's just be Americans. Let's just love one another, be
- 55:35Speaker 6: each other brief and it's not pushing this separation between
- 55:38Speaker 6: our kids and the racism. Don't need to kill the racisms.
- 55:43Speaker 6: That's how we need to be attacked. Attack the racisms.
- 55:46Speaker 6: Become brothers and moss each others and sisters. You don't
- 55:50Speaker 6: want another wants us to do. They loved our natis
- 55:55Speaker 6: he loves ourselves when the weserveing our neighbors. What I'm
- 55:59Speaker 6: throwing in and got it bank God, h.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Angela, Angela, you have some think.
- 56:18Speaker 5: Yeah, so.
- 56:22Speaker 4: You know we we we we have done everything that
- 56:25Speaker 4: they have asked. You know, we have turned the right cheek.
- 56:28Speaker 4: We turned the left cheek that this world was built
- 56:31Speaker 4: on our backs. We we we we were not still indoctrinated.
- 56:36Speaker 4: We're not still what they told us to do.
- 56:38Speaker 5: We did.
- 56:39Speaker 4: They told us to go to school, get an education,
- 56:42Speaker 4: better ourselves, and we did that. But yet they still
- 56:45Speaker 4: wanted to treat us like second class citizens. They still
- 56:48Speaker 4: want to keep us in the world. They want to
- 56:51Speaker 4: regress us instead of progressing us. This world was founded
- 56:56Speaker 4: on all four fathers backs. Everything that was invented and
- 56:59Speaker 4: created was created through us. They will not be where
- 57:02Speaker 4: they are today if it was not for us. But
- 57:06Speaker 4: one thing we are not. We are not our ancestors.
- 57:09Speaker 4: They taught us well, the prayers and the faith that
- 57:11Speaker 4: they had. It has allowed us to be able to
- 57:13Speaker 4: be the people that we are today. We will not
- 57:16Speaker 4: back down. We will not sit down. We will not
- 57:19Speaker 4: allow us to continue.
- 57:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:22Speaker 4: I love my brothers and sisters because I don't see race,
- 57:25Speaker 4: because my family is a diverse family. But one thing
- 57:28Speaker 4: I will not accept is people wanting to treat us
- 57:33Speaker 4: less than what we are.
- 57:34Speaker 5: Treat us like.
- 57:35Speaker 4: Humans, and you won't have to look at you won't
- 57:38Speaker 4: have to look at color. If everybody is treated like
- 57:41Speaker 4: human beings, we would never see color. But we see
- 57:45Speaker 4: that it's not happening because people want to control us.
- 57:48Speaker 4: People want to do whatever they want to do to
- 57:51Speaker 4: better themselves and to keep themselves in a place. But
- 57:54Speaker 4: we of course know Shanet that it's more than about color.
- 57:58Speaker 4: This is a spiritual thing and the spiritual warfare. But
- 58:02Speaker 4: guess what, we ready for it. We ready for it
- 58:05Speaker 4: because God said he will equip us. He will equip us,
- 58:09Speaker 4: and that's what he has. So guess what.
- 58:11Speaker 5: We ain't backing down.
- 58:12Speaker 4: We will not sit down, and we will not allow
- 58:15Speaker 4: this to continue because we pray for change. We've prayed
- 58:19Speaker 4: for change, and sometimes change ain't the way we think
- 58:22Speaker 4: it's gonna be. It ain't always gonna be easy. Sometimes
- 58:26Speaker 4: you got to go through some things in order for
- 58:28Speaker 4: God to really allow things to happen. Sometimes he had
- 58:31Speaker 4: to shake some things up in order for him to move.
- 58:35Speaker 4: I trust him, I believe him, and I know that
- 58:38Speaker 4: he's yet moving.
- 58:39Speaker 5: So I stand on his word.
- 58:41Speaker 4: I stand on his word, and I know that Carmelo
- 58:44Speaker 4: Anthony will not serve thirty five years. He'll be home soon.
- 58:48Speaker 4: He'll be home soon. And this is gonna This is
- 58:51Speaker 4: gonna show. This is gonna show the world. This is
- 58:54Speaker 4: gonna show the world that we're not playing anymore. We're
- 58:57Speaker 4: not allowing y'all to continue to control the narrative. The
- 59:02Speaker 4: world is watching and the world now sees we're not
- 59:06Speaker 4: sitting down no more. Thank you, I appreciate you, and
- 59:12Speaker 4: Casey and Angela says some powerful things.
- 59:16Speaker 5: You know.
- 59:17Speaker 4: This is spiritual warfare. We have to put on our armor,
- 59:24Speaker 4: and a lot of people are armored up physical. I'm
- 59:28Speaker 4: talking about as in the spiritual worldfare. I'm not talking
- 59:31Speaker 4: about the other stuff. Because we see this in the spirit.
- 59:35Speaker 4: We're gonna fight this in the spirit, and we're gonna
- 59:37Speaker 4: continuously hold onto God's word. We're gonna stand flat footed
- 59:42Speaker 4: on his word because he's not a man. He can
- 59:45Speaker 4: likee and he his promises is going to manifest. Carmelo
- 59:51Speaker 4: will not do thirty five years. He will be home soon. World,
- 59:59Speaker 4: sit back. It's just only this is only the beginning.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: I'm gonna leave you with this a system that cannot
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: omit when it's wrong. It's always punishing the innocence. This
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: is let's talk about it, and I am not done
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: talking about it. I'll see you guys soon, stay blessed
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: and stay safe.
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: Take care.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: You to give me, give me a call before you
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: trying to put to another and try because I know
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: I have some money on it.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: A cry in the life.
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: There's a voice, the needle platform, there's a five for
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: what's right.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Shut A. W.
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: Johnson on the mind speaking truth today, for the hurting
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: and the healing. She makes away justice in the room,
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: healing in the line, purpose in the pain, every word alone,
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: breaking every silence, falling every name.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: When she said let's talk about it, nothing stays the same. God,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: let's talk about it. Bring it to life. Shinn at W.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Johnson se
