Tropical Storm Bertha’s still packing a punch as it heads westward, hugging the Louisiana coast before hitting eastern Texas by Thursday. Though it’s weakening from 60 mph winds to around 50 mph, the real danger lies in lingering hazards: rip currents, rough seas, and coastal flooding — especially around high tide. Tropical storm warnings remain active along the Alabama and Louisiana coasts, with watches now extended into Texas.
