Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Tonight we're going to be headed into another super episode,
- 0:17Speaker 1: a compilation episode of Dad's Bedtime Stories, and this time
- 0:22Speaker 1: we're headed back to the Magic Library, a series I've
- 0:26Speaker 1: only done I think three episodes of so far, but
- 0:30Speaker 1: I really enjoy doing them, and today or this week,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I got another suggestion for it, so I thought it
- 0:36Speaker 1: would be a good time to do a compilation episode
- 0:38Speaker 1: so people can catch up on the series if they
- 0:40Speaker 1: haven't heard it before we start. I want to give
- 0:43Speaker 1: a big shout out to Julie, Scott and Kurt because
- 0:48Speaker 1: your mother wrote me a really nice comment telling me
- 0:51Speaker 1: that she really likes the compilation episodes and I should
- 0:54Speaker 1: do more of them. I used to do one every
- 0:56Speaker 1: single weekend when I first started the podcast, and then
- 0:59Speaker 1: I slowly stopped, and at this point I don't always
- 1:02Speaker 1: know what to do. So if you have a specific
- 1:05Speaker 1: request for a compilation episode, certain episodes you'd like to
- 1:09Speaker 1: see put together, you can leave me a message any
- 1:12Speaker 1: of the normal ways, speak Bype, Google, form, email. It's
- 1:16Speaker 1: all good now, As you guys know, I never ever
- 1:20Speaker 1: put ads during the story on Dad's Bedtime Stories, but
- 1:25Speaker 1: we do have to fund the podcast some way, so
- 1:27Speaker 1: I leave ads at the beginning and right about here.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Now it's time to get as comfy as you can
- 1:35Speaker 1: in that bed, close your eyes and imagine yourself doing
- 1:40Speaker 1: what the kid in the story does. Imagine yourself hanging
- 1:47Speaker 1: out in your very own bedroom. Things are a little
- 1:51Speaker 1: boring today. There's not much to do. You've done everything
- 1:56Speaker 1: you really feel like doing. Man, you're just sitting around
- 2:00Speaker 1: on your bed, trying to decide what's next. Out of
- 2:05Speaker 1: the corner of your eye, you notice a little line
- 2:08Speaker 1: of light on the wall. What is that? You walk
- 2:14Speaker 1: closer to examine the strange line of light, and as
- 2:19Speaker 1: you get closer, you realize that something strange has appeared
- 2:24Speaker 1: on your wall. It's not just one line, it's three lines,
- 2:30Speaker 1: and they're in the shape of a tiny little door.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You press against the wall. It clicks and then pops open,
- 2:42Speaker 1: revealing a tiny little doorway and a series of steps
- 2:47Speaker 1: that lead down a long cavern. What is going on here,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you say out loud, as the walls of the cavern
- 2:58Speaker 1: are suddenly lit up by a series of blue torches.
- 3:03Speaker 1: That line the walls. You obviously can't not explore the
- 3:08Speaker 1: strange cavern that you've just found in your house, so
- 3:12Speaker 1: you begin down the steps. You walk down the stairs,
- 3:16Speaker 1: and then you head through a stone hallway lit by
- 3:20Speaker 1: the same types of blue torches, And soon you come
- 3:24Speaker 1: to another door, a large wooden door. You grab a
- 3:29Speaker 1: hold of the handle, press down on the latch, and
- 3:34Speaker 1: swing the door opened. It reveals a gigantic cavern, or
- 3:41Speaker 1: a gigantic room anyways, a room full of bucks. You
- 3:49Speaker 1: step inside and look around. When you look to the left,
- 3:53Speaker 1: there are stacks upon stacks of bucks. As you look
- 3:58Speaker 1: to the right, stacks upon stacks of books, books on shelves,
- 4:04Speaker 1: books just kind of stacked up on the ground. And
- 4:09Speaker 1: even stranger than any of that, some of the books
- 4:12Speaker 1: seem to be flying from one place to another, using
- 4:18Speaker 1: their book covers as if their wings, and just sort
- 4:21Speaker 1: of gliding magically through the air. You walk into the
- 4:27Speaker 1: large cavern and you look around some more. You come
- 4:32Speaker 1: to a railing and look down upon well other floors
- 4:38Speaker 1: full of books, all surrounding a very cozy looking reading
- 4:44Speaker 1: area or something like that. This place is some sort
- 4:50Speaker 1: of library. Welcome, a voice says, wait, what was that
- 4:59Speaker 1: you say, looking left and right? That was me? I
- 5:05Speaker 1: am the voice of the Library. The voice says, you're
- 5:12Speaker 1: the Are you like a real person or what exactly
- 5:17Speaker 1: are you? You ask, Well, that's hard to explain. But
- 5:24Speaker 1: if you're asking if I'm about to just appear in
- 5:28Speaker 1: front of you, No, my more of a magical voice
- 5:34Speaker 1: or a consciousness built into the library itself. The voice explains,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I will act as your guide here. Okay, you respond,
- 5:49Speaker 1: where is here? Anyways? Where? Here is the magic Library,
- 5:58Speaker 1: a place where any book ever written, any adventure ever
- 6:04Speaker 1: will thought up in someone's mind, appears in the form
- 6:09Speaker 1: of a book. Oh well, that's pretty cool. I guess.
- 6:16Speaker 1: So you have a lot of books. Huh, you say, yes,
- 6:21Speaker 1: but not only that. Our books have a different wave. Well,
- 6:29Speaker 1: the experiencing the story is probably a good way to
- 6:34Speaker 1: put it. It's sort of hard to explain until you
- 6:38Speaker 1: read one. The Voice of the Library says, oh, okay,
- 6:46Speaker 1: should I try to read one? Then you ask, yes,
- 6:51Speaker 1: I highly recommend it. Why don't you head down to
- 6:56Speaker 1: the reading nook and I will find a story that
- 7:01Speaker 1: I believe you will like. What kind of story are
- 7:06Speaker 1: you into the voice of the library asks, I don't know,
- 7:14Speaker 1: maybe something with dragons or nights or something like that.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You respond, that is an excellent suggestion. Working on that. Now,
- 7:28Speaker 1: you walk along the rail until you get to a
- 7:31Speaker 1: set of stairs. You walk down the stairs, which wind
- 7:36Speaker 1: around in a circle and eventually lead you to the
- 7:41Speaker 1: reading knock, a gigantic circle of couches upon couches, couches
- 7:48Speaker 1: of all different shapes and sizes, some fluffy looking, some harder,
- 7:54Speaker 1: a lot of them covered with all sorts of pillows.
- 7:58Speaker 1: There's a couch for any type of couch person. You
- 8:04Speaker 1: find a couch that looks rather comfortable to you, and
- 8:08Speaker 1: you climb on top of it, cozying up into the
- 8:12Speaker 1: side of it. When you see a book floating through
- 8:17Speaker 1: the air, I believe I have found the perfected venture,
- 8:23Speaker 1: the voice says, as the book floats down once again,
- 8:28Speaker 1: using its book covers as wings or something like that.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You put your hand out and the book shifts its position,
- 8:38Speaker 1: closing up and landing gently in your hands. The cover
- 8:44Speaker 1: of the book reads the Dragon King, and it has
- 8:49Speaker 1: a picture of a large golden dragon sitting atop a
- 8:54Speaker 1: mountain with a castle on it. What do I do now?
- 9:00Speaker 1: You ask, well, you open the book, of course, the
- 9:05Speaker 1: voice answers, and so you do. But instead of seeing
- 9:11Speaker 1: pictures or words on pages like you would have expected,
- 9:16Speaker 1: you just see, well, a glowing blue portal, a miniature
- 9:23Speaker 1: glowing blue portal, right on the page of the book.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Only it's moving and clearly not a still picture at all.
- 9:32Speaker 1: What's this, you ask, That is how you enter the book?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Of course, that is a book portal. What's a what's
- 9:44Speaker 1: a book portal? What do I do with a book portal?
- 9:47Speaker 1: You say, where, Just move towards it with the intention
- 9:52Speaker 1: of entering the book and it would do the rest.
- 9:57Speaker 1: So with that, you sort of your head down towards
- 10:01Speaker 1: the book until there's this strange pulling sensation and your
- 10:07Speaker 1: entire body is sort of sucked through the buck. When
- 10:13Speaker 1: you open your eyes again, you find yourself in a
- 10:17Speaker 1: completely different place, a completely different time, and wearing completely
- 10:24Speaker 1: different clothes. You look down at your one hand and
- 10:28Speaker 1: you're holding some sort of flute. Once upon a time,
- 10:35Speaker 1: the voice of the librarian says, in the Grand Kingdom
- 10:40Speaker 1: of Eldoria, that was a kid, a kid named Finn.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You assume that you must be this Finn character, or
- 10:52Speaker 1: at least playing the part of the Finn character. Finn
- 10:57Speaker 1: was the son of a humble musician, a man who
- 11:01Speaker 1: played the flute with such beauty that even the birds
- 11:06Speaker 1: would stop singing and listen. Finn had learned to play
- 11:12Speaker 1: from his father, and though young, his melodies carried through
- 11:18Speaker 1: the kingdom like a whisper on the wind. You experience,
- 11:25Speaker 1: for a second, flashing through different scenes, different scenes of
- 11:31Speaker 1: Finn's life, learning to play the flute with your father,
- 11:36Speaker 1: walking through Eldoria, until once again you find yourself sitting
- 11:43Speaker 1: in a room, sitting with the flute. Eldoria was not
- 11:49Speaker 1: a kingdom ruled by a kind king or a noble queen.
- 11:56Speaker 1: The voice says no. Atop the highest mountain sat the
- 12:03Speaker 1: Dragon King, a massive golden beast whose scales shimmered like
- 12:10Speaker 1: molten treasure. He was powerful and wise, but also kind
- 12:16Speaker 1: of grumpy, impatient, and quick to temper. If taxes were late,
- 12:23Speaker 1: he roared. If the weather was too hot, he grumbled.
- 12:29Speaker 1: If someone dared to look at him the wrong way,
- 12:32Speaker 1: he would huff a great puff of smoke in their face.
- 12:38Speaker 1: The people of Eldoria feared him, though he did not
- 12:43Speaker 1: burn their homes. A demand war he was not a
- 12:47Speaker 1: very nice ruler. One evening, after a long day in
- 12:54Speaker 1: the village square, Finn sat by the fire as his
- 12:59Speaker 1: fire told him a tale. You find yourself sitting by
- 13:05Speaker 1: a fire, holding the flute in your hand, and listening
- 13:10Speaker 1: to some old man you don't really recognize. Across from
- 13:13Speaker 1: you must be Finn's father, You realize, well, kid, I
- 13:20Speaker 1: think it's time to tell you the story of the dragon.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Finn's father said, once, long long ago, the dragon king
- 13:31Speaker 1: was different. He was fierce, but he was tamed by
- 13:37Speaker 1: the great hero. You sit up suddenly, a hero. You respond, Wait,
- 13:45Speaker 1: you're not really sure what compelled you to say that
- 13:47Speaker 1: at all. Your father nods towards you or Finn's father,
- 13:53Speaker 1: depending on how you're looking at it. A warrior clad
- 13:58Speaker 1: and enchanted armor, golden armor, carrying a golden sword. This
- 14:05Speaker 1: hero did not slay the dragon, but rather he tamed
- 14:10Speaker 1: him with his strength and wisdom. They ruled together for
- 14:16Speaker 1: years in peace, until the hero passed away. With no
- 14:22Speaker 1: one to guide him, The dragon king grew bitter and lonely.
- 14:28Speaker 1: The armor was sealed away in a hidden dungeon where
- 14:33Speaker 1: only the worthy may reclaim it. You feel your heart
- 14:37Speaker 1: begin to pound as you hear this revelation, something about
- 14:43Speaker 1: you really wants to find that armor. I'm gonna find
- 14:48Speaker 1: the armor, you declare out loud, gripping your flute tightly.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Your father looks at you and just chuckles. It's not
- 14:58Speaker 1: gonna be easy, kid. The dungeon is a place of
- 15:02Speaker 1: trials only a true hero can pass through. But you,
- 15:08Speaker 1: I guess, experiencing the life of Finn, have made up
- 15:13Speaker 1: your mind. Where with nothing but his flute, continues the librarian,
- 15:20Speaker 1: a satchel full of bread and his courage. Finn ventured
- 15:25Speaker 1: beyond the kingdom's borders, through the dark forest, and across
- 15:31Speaker 1: the River of Mist, where he found the entrance to
- 15:36Speaker 1: the Forgotten Jungle. As the Librarian reads through each part
- 15:42Speaker 1: of the adventure, the images flash through your mind until
- 15:47Speaker 1: you find yourself standing in front of a strange, huge
- 15:53Speaker 1: door carved with old ruins. You step inside, and the
- 15:58Speaker 1: torches on the wall flared life, revealing a large corridor
- 16:04Speaker 1: that stretches out lined with dangerous traps. You tiptoe forward
- 16:12Speaker 1: when you suddenly hear a thunk. As spikes shoot out
- 16:16Speaker 1: of the walls. You gasp and jump backwards, just in time.
- 16:21Speaker 1: The floor too, is littered with all sorts of pressure plates.
- 16:26Speaker 1: One wrong step and swoosh more spikes. You hear the
- 16:32Speaker 1: voice of the librarian again. Finn took a deep breath.
- 16:38Speaker 1: He realized that this was much like playing a song.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Every step had to be precise, just like every note
- 16:49Speaker 1: on his flute. He focused listening to the tiny clicks
- 16:54Speaker 1: before the spike shot out, and carefully he made his
- 16:59Speaker 1: way across. Oh that's how I do it, you realize, man.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Trying to follow that advice, you listen for the clicks
- 17:10Speaker 1: that happen just before the spikes shoot out. You notice
- 17:15Speaker 1: the rhythm of the spikes, and you get kind of
- 17:18Speaker 1: a beat for it. And then as you look at
- 17:22Speaker 1: the pressure plates in front of you, certain ones sort
- 17:26Speaker 1: of start to light up just the right times, just
- 17:30Speaker 1: the right times to avoid the spikes. So you leap forward,
- 17:37Speaker 1: jumping from pressure plate to pressure plate exactly at the
- 17:41Speaker 1: perfect time, missing every single one of the spikes, and
- 17:46Speaker 1: making your way safely to the other end, panting next,
- 17:52Speaker 1: the librarian's voice continues. Fit and came to a room
- 17:58Speaker 1: filled with bubbling lava. The only way across was a
- 18:03Speaker 1: series of crumbling stone pillars and With that, a lake
- 18:10Speaker 1: of lava appears in front of you, dotted of course,
- 18:14Speaker 1: with a series of crumbling stone pillars. You carefully climb
- 18:21Speaker 1: onto the first and then make your way to the second.
- 18:25Speaker 1: The pillars wobble, but you hold on tight. You can
- 18:31Speaker 1: feel the heat and it starts to make you feel
- 18:35Speaker 1: a little bit dizzy, but you keep going anyways. Suddenly
- 18:41Speaker 1: one of the stones starts to sink, and you jump
- 18:44Speaker 1: just in time to the next one. Now only one
- 18:49Speaker 1: jump away from the end. You get a feel for
- 18:52Speaker 1: the pillar below you in the stone, and then with
- 18:57Speaker 1: a huge leap of faith, you jump into the air
- 19:01Speaker 1: across the last gap and land on the other side.
- 19:07Speaker 1: And that's when you hear the librarian's voice once again.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And then Finn had to head into trial number three,
- 19:18Speaker 1: the Test of Spirits. You step into another large room,
- 19:27Speaker 1: only this time it's incredibly dark. The only thing you
- 19:31Speaker 1: can see on the other end is a gigantic golden door.
- 19:37Speaker 1: As you walk forward, whispers of doubt and fear and
- 19:42Speaker 1: failure start to hit your ears. Yawn, just a kid,
- 19:47Speaker 1: One of the voices said, the dragon king will never
- 19:52Speaker 1: listen to you. Yaw, not a hero. And then you
- 19:59Speaker 1: hear the voice of the librarian again. Finn's heart began
- 20:05Speaker 1: to pound listening to the strange voices, but he gripped
- 20:11Speaker 1: his flute tighta and you do exactly that music had
- 20:19Speaker 1: always given him strength. He lifted the flute to his lips,
- 20:24Speaker 1: played a soft tune, and the voices began to push backward.
- 20:33Speaker 1: You decide to try that exact thing. As you walk
- 20:36Speaker 1: through the dark room. You lift the flute up towards
- 20:41Speaker 1: your lips. You instinctively place your fingers on it, as
- 20:45Speaker 1: if you've played it thousands of times before, and then
- 20:51Speaker 1: you begin to play a beautiful melody on the flute.
- 20:55Speaker 1: You're not even sure how you can do it. It's as
- 20:58Speaker 1: if you just sort of remember every move, every note,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and before long, the voices disappear. You continue through the
- 21:09Speaker 1: corridor and the large golden door opens up. Inside, sitting
- 21:17Speaker 1: atop a pedestal, you find the enchanted golden armor and
- 21:22Speaker 1: the enchanted golden sword. You quickly walk towards the armor
- 21:28Speaker 1: and begin snapping it into place. As you put on
- 21:33Speaker 1: the last piece of armor, a strange tinkling sensation passes
- 21:38Speaker 1: through your spine, and you suddenly have flashes of hundreds
- 21:44Speaker 1: and hundreds of hours of training, of using your sword,
- 21:48Speaker 1: of moving with grace, of martial arts lessons and wrestling
- 21:53Speaker 1: and battles beyond measure, and then you find yourself back
- 21:59Speaker 1: in the only You now feel like you could do
- 22:04Speaker 1: just about anything, at least with this sword and armor on. Anyways,
- 22:10Speaker 1: something about this armor has given you the experience of well,
- 22:16Speaker 1: all sorts of heroes who have worn it before you. Maybe, then,
- 22:21Speaker 1: the voice of the librarians continues. Clad in his armor,
- 22:27Speaker 1: Finn felt different. He felt strong, as if he had
- 22:33Speaker 1: trained for centuries. He swung the golden sword, and his
- 22:39Speaker 1: body moved with perfect precision, as if the knowledge of
- 22:44Speaker 1: all warriors before him now flowed into his veins. But
- 22:51Speaker 1: it was time time to face the dragon. Wait a second,
- 23:00Speaker 1: you say, I'm actually gonna have to fight a dragon here? Well, yes,
- 23:08Speaker 1: the voice of the narrator response, how else would we
- 23:12Speaker 1: finish the story? I'm not sure I want to finish
- 23:17Speaker 1: this story. I'm not really sure I'm up for a
- 23:20Speaker 1: battle against a dragon. I mean, I know, I just
- 23:23Speaker 1: learned a whole bunch of martial arts and sorts stuff,
- 23:25Speaker 1: But it's a dragon. You say, Well, if you would
- 23:32Speaker 1: not like to continue. You may exit at any time,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and with that, a glowing portal appears beside you. Oh okay.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Then you move towards the portal, and once again you're
- 23:52Speaker 1: sucked through it, finding yourself back in the library, only strangely,
- 23:58Speaker 1: you're still wearing the gold armor with the golden sword.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I can bring stuff out of the books, you say, where, Yes,
- 24:09Speaker 1: as long as the book is opened, your connection to
- 24:13Speaker 1: it remains strong. However, there are some precautions to take.
- 24:21Speaker 1: The librarian says, yeah, yeah, I know, be careful with
- 24:25Speaker 1: the sword and that sort of stuff. But this is
- 24:28Speaker 1: so cool. You begin to move around the library, swinging
- 24:33Speaker 1: the sword through the air, performing jumps and leaps and
- 24:38Speaker 1: parkorel like moves over the furniture, down the stairs, and
- 24:43Speaker 1: basically all around the place. It's pretty fun to play
- 24:48Speaker 1: with this armor, and the library itself is gigantic. Then
- 24:55Speaker 1: you hear a noise, a growling noise. You move back
- 25:02Speaker 1: through the stacks of books and look out on the
- 25:05Speaker 1: reading area where you were sitting previously and where you
- 25:10Speaker 1: left the book open on the table, and there you
- 25:14Speaker 1: see a gigantic golden dragon crawling out of it. The
- 25:21Speaker 1: dragon looks up at you, opens its mouth and unleashes
- 25:27Speaker 1: a torrent of fire. You instinctively jump to the side,
- 25:32Speaker 1: roll out of the way, and hide behind a shelf
- 25:35Speaker 1: of books. Uh, librarian, what's going on exactly? You say?
- 25:42Speaker 1: Where you left the book opened, and therefore you left
- 25:48Speaker 1: the adventure opened. And if you aren't going to it,
- 25:53Speaker 1: sometimes adventure has a way of finding you, the librarian explained.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Couldn't you have told me about that earlier? You say, yes,
- 26:07Speaker 1: But it's fuddy to find out this way, don't you think,
- 26:12Speaker 1: the librarian says, and then another torn of fire passes
- 26:18Speaker 1: right by your head. You peek out for behind the books.
- 26:23Speaker 1: You grab a hold of your sword, and you realize
- 26:27Speaker 1: that if you're gonna end this thing, you better do
- 26:31Speaker 1: it how the book intended. You jump up onto the
- 26:36Speaker 1: railing and leap forward towards the dragon, obviously executing a
- 26:41Speaker 1: perfect front flip as you do so. You swing the
- 26:45Speaker 1: sword through the air and strike down the dragon as
- 26:51Speaker 1: hard and as quickly as you can, but your sort
- 26:55Speaker 1: just kind of clanks off against it and flies out
- 26:59Speaker 1: of your hand. You find yourself standing on the ground,
- 27:04Speaker 1: staring directly at the dragon's face. He takes another huge breath,
- 27:11Speaker 1: and just before he can hit you with a torn
- 27:13Speaker 1: of fire, you jump to the left and rolled out
- 27:17Speaker 1: of the way, hiding behind yet another bookshelf with no sword,
- 27:24Speaker 1: Not that it did you any good anyways. You think
- 27:28Speaker 1: for a while, how exactly was the book gonna finish
- 27:33Speaker 1: this whole thing? How can I take on a gigantic dragon?
- 27:39Speaker 1: And then you realized what Finn's father said at the
- 27:42Speaker 1: beginning of the book. The hero didn't fight the dragon
- 27:47Speaker 1: or defeat the dragon. He tamed the dragon. How exactly
- 27:53Speaker 1: would he have tamed the dragon? You think, and then
- 27:58Speaker 1: you reach damn and feel the flute. Of course, the flute.
- 28:05Speaker 1: It was a major part of the book. It was
- 28:08Speaker 1: obviously going to come up again. You lift the flute
- 28:13Speaker 1: up to your mouth and you begin to play once again.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Your fingers just move automatically, as if you've played the
- 28:22Speaker 1: flute thousands and thousands of times. A beautiful melody starts
- 28:28Speaker 1: to play, and as it does, you can tell that
- 28:33Speaker 1: the dragon's becoming less upset. You continue to play the
- 28:39Speaker 1: flute and you peek out from behind the bookshelf. The dragon,
- 28:44Speaker 1: instead of looking angry and like he wants to burn
- 28:47Speaker 1: things down, is just lightly swaying his head back and
- 28:52Speaker 1: forth to the rhythm of the music. It's obviously putting
- 28:56Speaker 1: him in some sort of trance. Stand up and move
- 29:01Speaker 1: from behind the bukshelf towards the dragon once again, and
- 29:06Speaker 1: the dragon just continues to move to the malady of
- 29:10Speaker 1: the music. Wow, the dragon says, this is the same
- 29:18Speaker 1: music my last master used to play. Only one who
- 29:26Speaker 1: can play music this well can ever earn my heart? Buddy,
- 29:35Speaker 1: you kid, you've done it. You continue closer to the dragon.
- 29:43Speaker 1: He reaches his head out towards you. You stop playing
- 29:48Speaker 1: the flute and reach your hands up to the gigantic
- 29:52Speaker 1: dragon head. The dragon then pushes its head against your hand.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Sort of been the same way a cat would. Now
- 30:04Speaker 1: The dragon says, would you like to finish the adventure?
- 30:12Speaker 1: He ducks his head down and invites you to climb aboard.
- 30:18Speaker 1: You find a perfect looking spot just at the base
- 30:21Speaker 1: of his neck, whereas scales have form themselves into an
- 30:25Speaker 1: almost natural saddle. You climb on top of it, grabbing
- 30:31Speaker 1: on to two large golden spikes that bend around making
- 30:36Speaker 1: perfect handles. The dragon jumps up in the air and
- 30:42Speaker 1: then dives straight into the book. You're once again sucked
- 30:47Speaker 1: through the portal and find yourself inside the world of
- 30:52Speaker 1: the book, the world of Eldoria. You fly just below
- 30:59Speaker 1: the clouds, high above the forests and towards a large
- 31:05Speaker 1: mountain with a huge palace atop it. The golden dragon
- 31:12Speaker 1: drifts easily through the air, circling around the palace atop
- 31:17Speaker 1: the huge mountain until it eventually comes down for a
- 31:22Speaker 1: graceful landing in the center. The dragon then walks down
- 31:27Speaker 1: a gigantic corridor big enough for well a dragon, towards
- 31:34Speaker 1: a large chair on the other end. You slide off
- 31:39Speaker 1: of the dragon and walk towards the very beautiful looking chair,
- 31:45Speaker 1: a throne of some kind. The throne is yours, the
- 31:53Speaker 1: dragon says, and you walk forward, sit down on the throne,
- 32:01Speaker 1: and another portal appears beside you. You hear the voice
- 32:06Speaker 1: of the librarian once again, where young Adventurer, good job
- 32:13Speaker 1: finishing the story and experiencing Finn's adventure. You may hag
- 32:21Speaker 1: around as long as you wish, or exit the portal.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Now you decide that it's probably been a long enough day.
- 32:33Speaker 1: You get up off of the throne and move towards
- 32:36Speaker 1: the portal. Once again, You're sucked through, and you find
- 32:42Speaker 1: yourself in the library once more. You're feeling pretty tired now,
- 32:50Speaker 1: so you carefully close the book. As soon as you do,
- 32:55Speaker 1: the armor that you are wearing disappears and sort of
- 32:59Speaker 1: re absorbs into the book itself. You rest the book
- 33:04Speaker 1: down on a table. I don't know if I want
- 33:08Speaker 1: to leave this place, will they be able to find
- 33:10Speaker 1: it again? You ask? Has that door always been in
- 33:15Speaker 1: my room? Where? Not exactly? However, I have a gift
- 33:23Speaker 1: for you. With that, a flying golden key appears in
- 33:28Speaker 1: front of you and floats down into your hand. This
- 33:34Speaker 1: is the key to the library. You may use it
- 33:39Speaker 1: anywhere any time. Simply place it inside a wall, turn
- 33:46Speaker 1: and the door to the library will appear. With that,
- 33:53Speaker 1: you walk back up the stairs through the long corridor
- 33:58Speaker 1: that led from your room and moup the set of
- 34:02Speaker 1: stone steps as well. You push open the little secret
- 34:08Speaker 1: door that led from your room to the secret library
- 34:11Speaker 1: in the first place, and you find yourself in your
- 34:15Speaker 1: bedroom once again, only it seems to be nighttime now.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You carefully close the door and it instantly vanishes from existence.
- 34:29Speaker 1: You place the library key in a nice safe spot
- 34:34Speaker 1: in your room. Then you climb into your bed once again,
- 34:40Speaker 1: You pull the covers up over top of yourself, You
- 34:45Speaker 1: close your eyes, and you begin to just drift off
- 34:51Speaker 1: to a nice deep sleep where dreams of new things
- 34:58Speaker 1: and new adventures just can find you. Good night everyone. Now,
- 35:08Speaker 1: if you didn't listen to the first Magic Library series,
- 35:12Speaker 1: it's really no big deal. Each one's kind of independent.
- 35:17Speaker 1: But in the last one, at the end, you were
- 35:21Speaker 1: given a very special key, a key that can open
- 35:25Speaker 1: up a doorway to the Magic Library from basically anywhere.
- 35:31Speaker 1: On this particular day, the world outside doesn't look too exciting.
- 35:39Speaker 1: It's raining a lot, and it's not really the type
- 35:43Speaker 1: of day where you feel like going and playing outside.
- 35:48Speaker 1: You see sitting beside your bed an old and ancient
- 35:53Speaker 1: looking key, the key to the Magic Library, and you
- 35:59Speaker 1: haven't even had a chance to test the thing out yet.
- 36:03Speaker 1: You pick up the key, and remember what the librarian said,
- 36:09Speaker 1: that strange voice of the library. All you have to
- 36:13Speaker 1: do is use the key in any wall, anywhere, and
- 36:19Speaker 1: a doorway to the library will appear. You walk over
- 36:25Speaker 1: to a wall in your room and you push your
- 36:28Speaker 1: stuff aside, making a large enough space for the door
- 36:33Speaker 1: or the door to be. You hold the key in
- 36:37Speaker 1: your hand and you push it toward the wall. Strangely,
- 36:43Speaker 1: just as it's about to hit the wall, a key
- 36:47Speaker 1: slot magically appears. You place the key inside, turn it
- 36:54Speaker 1: to the right, and with a click, a glowing outline
- 36:59Speaker 1: of a door peers. You pull on the key and
- 37:04Speaker 1: the door opens up, leading to a long set of stairs,
- 37:10Speaker 1: followed by a long hallway, all lit by blue torches.
- 37:17Speaker 1: You walk down the stairs, down the hallway, and eventually
- 37:23Speaker 1: you come to a second door. With a turn of
- 37:26Speaker 1: the knob, the door opens up into a vast and
- 37:31Speaker 1: impressive library, stack upon stack of books, floor upon floor
- 37:39Speaker 1: of book stacks, and a whole bunch of books just
- 37:44Speaker 1: sort of flying through the air using their covers like
- 37:48Speaker 1: little magical wings. Where Welcome back, A voice says, a
- 37:57Speaker 1: voice you know to be the library. What can I
- 38:02Speaker 1: help you find today? The voice asks, I don't know.
- 38:09Speaker 1: I was looking for something kind of adventurous. I kind
- 38:13Speaker 1: of have my mind set on a pirate adventure. You
- 38:17Speaker 1: have anything like that? WHOA do I have pirate adventures?
- 38:24Speaker 1: You ask? Of course, we have pirate adventures, and I
- 38:30Speaker 1: think I know the perfect one. Please have a seat.
- 38:37Speaker 1: You walk down a series of steps that wind around
- 38:41Speaker 1: in a circle down to the main reading area with
- 38:46Speaker 1: circles of couches that are incredibly comfortable. You find a
- 38:52Speaker 1: little nook with a whole bunch of pillows. You jump
- 38:56Speaker 1: onto the couch. You pull a blanket over your leg,
- 39:00Speaker 1: and you get as cozy as you can. Book in coming,
- 39:06Speaker 1: the librarian says, And you see a book float towards
- 39:12Speaker 1: you in the air. It shifts its orientation and floats
- 39:17Speaker 1: down gently into your hands as the cover of the
- 39:22Speaker 1: book opens. This book, the voice explains, is called the
- 39:29Speaker 1: Pirate King's Treasure. Ah, you ready to depart, I guess,
- 39:37Speaker 1: so you respond, And with that your eyes become lost
- 39:43Speaker 1: in a strange spiraling portal inside the book, and then
- 39:48Speaker 1: your whole body just sort of gets sucked right into it.
- 39:54Speaker 1: When you open your eyes, you find yourself standing aboard
- 39:59Speaker 1: a small pirate ship, surrounded by a small crew of pirates,
- 40:05Speaker 1: with the wind passing through your hair. As you moved
- 40:10Speaker 1: towards some sort of pirate port, you hear the voice
- 40:15Speaker 1: of the librarian began to narrate the book. The storm
- 40:22Speaker 1: sparrow drifted into the pirate port, its sails, catching the
- 40:28Speaker 1: last of the evening breeze. Around the docks. Towering galleons loomed,
- 40:37Speaker 1: their massive halls, creaking against wooden piers, the ships of legend,
- 40:45Speaker 1: commanded by captains with decades of adventure behind them. And
- 40:51Speaker 1: then there was Kid's ship, the Storm Sparrow. The Storm
- 41:01Speaker 1: Sparrow was much smaller than the other pirate ships, but
- 41:05Speaker 1: it was fast, agile, and most importantly, it was kids. Now.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Kid was no ordinary pirate. No one expected someone so
- 41:21Speaker 1: young to have a ship, let alone a crew. But
- 41:28Speaker 1: Kid had something that no other pirate did. Pirate jitsu,
- 41:35Speaker 1: a secret art known only to a handful of warriors,
- 41:40Speaker 1: lost to history. With that, you begin to have flashes
- 41:47Speaker 1: of memory passed through your mind. Hours upon hours of
- 41:52Speaker 1: training in pirate jitsu, practicing your skills, battling other pirates,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and you suddenly feel like you know every single move.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Once again, standing there top the deck of the boat,
- 42:09Speaker 1: the librarian continues to narrate the book. Through skill determination
- 42:16Speaker 1: and a few well placed kicks, Kid had earned the
- 42:20Speaker 1: respect of a small but loyal crew. And then, of
- 42:26Speaker 1: course there was Sparkles, the parrot hound, half parrot, half
- 42:33Speaker 1: pirate dog, and twice the size of any normal beast.
- 42:40Speaker 1: It was perched on the mast, scattering the port below.
- 42:45Speaker 1: You look up at the mast of the ship, and
- 42:49Speaker 1: sure enough you see a gigantic and mean looking dog
- 42:55Speaker 1: with huge parrot like wings that must be Sparks. Sparkles
- 43:02Speaker 1: was strong, fierce, and most importantly, he could fly. That
- 43:10Speaker 1: the sound of kids whistle, the parrot hound would come
- 43:14Speaker 1: soaring through the sky, ready for action. You look down,
- 43:21Speaker 1: and hanging around your neck is a whistle. As you
- 43:27Speaker 1: look down at the whistle, another memory passes through your mind,
- 43:32Speaker 1: a memory of you blowing the whistle on many occasions,
- 43:36Speaker 1: and your parrot dog, Sparkles, swooping in and saving the day.
- 43:42Speaker 1: You watch as the ship approaches the dock. As soon
- 43:47Speaker 1: as the crew ties it down, you step off of
- 43:51Speaker 1: the ship. All around you are a whole bunch of pirates,
- 43:57Speaker 1: singing sea shanties urchints, hollering about stolen treasure, and in
- 44:04Speaker 1: the small corner of a smoky tavern, a weathered old
- 44:09Speaker 1: pirate leans back, watching the world with eyes that look
- 44:14Speaker 1: like they've seen too much. You order yourself a root
- 44:20Speaker 1: beer and you slowly drink it as you listen to
- 44:24Speaker 1: the tales that pass between the sailors. And then you
- 44:29Speaker 1: hear it, or the pirate king. The old man mutters.
- 44:36Speaker 1: You turn the pirate king, you ask. The man eyes you,
- 44:42Speaker 1: sizing you up. I Eva hear the legend. You shake
- 44:50Speaker 1: your head. Ah, the pirate King was the greatest pirate
- 44:57Speaker 1: ever sail these seas. He took everything, gold, jewels, ships said,
- 45:06Speaker 1: he was the best there ever was. Oh what happened
- 45:11Speaker 1: to him? You ask? That's the thing, the old pirate says.
- 45:18Speaker 1: One day he just sort of vanished. Him and his
- 45:23Speaker 1: whole crew sailed off to find an island where pirates
- 45:29Speaker 1: could live forever, rich and free. But they are never
- 45:34Speaker 1: seen again. You lean forward, so you're saying, the treasure's
- 45:41Speaker 1: still there. The pirate grins, revealing a whole bunch of
- 45:48Speaker 1: missing teeth. I and I happened to have a map.
- 45:56Speaker 1: He pulls out a tattered piece of parchment and unrolls
- 46:00Speaker 1: it very dramatically. The lines and markings are faded, but
- 46:06Speaker 1: you see an ax on a distant island. The whole
- 46:11Speaker 1: thing starts to feel a little bit like a scam.
- 46:15Speaker 1: You wonder if they give every new pirate in this
- 46:18Speaker 1: area this exact same map. But as you reach down
- 46:24Speaker 1: into your pocket and pull out your coin purse. You
- 46:28Speaker 1: realize that you're not doing too badly. You can probably
- 46:34Speaker 1: afford to fall for at least one scam. You slide
- 46:39Speaker 1: a handful of gold across the table, and the pirate grins,
- 46:45Speaker 1: and that is how the Adventure for the Pirate King's
- 46:51Speaker 1: Treasure began. The librarian narrates once more. You immediately head
- 46:58Speaker 1: back to the ship and signal to the crew that
- 47:01Speaker 1: it's time to go. New adventure awaits. You watch as
- 47:07Speaker 1: the crew quickly loads the last of the supplies aboard
- 47:12Speaker 1: before untying the ship and paddling back out to sea.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Before long, the storm sparrow is cutting through the waves.
- 47:24Speaker 1: It sails billowing as your crew works the rigging. You
- 47:28Speaker 1: hold the map in your hand and find that you
- 47:31Speaker 1: are an excellent navigator, easily able to decipher what's on
- 47:37Speaker 1: the map and tell your crew where to go based
- 47:40Speaker 1: on it. It's actually kind of strange. You soon come
- 47:45Speaker 1: to a very treacherous looking area of water that is
- 47:50Speaker 1: labeled on the map as the Devil's Teeth, which sounds
- 47:56Speaker 1: rather ominous. Ahead of you, you see treach waters littered
- 48:02Speaker 1: with whirlpools, jagged spires of rock, and crashing waves that
- 48:08Speaker 1: could splinter any ship in just seconds. Luckily, the map
- 48:14Speaker 1: indicates a clear path through all of the treacherous waters.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Then you shout commands and steer the ship as you
- 48:24Speaker 1: and the crew zigzag your way through the proper channel.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Yeah we're getting close, your first made, shouts, But the
- 48:36Speaker 1: waves are turning against us. The wind howls, and suddenly
- 48:41Speaker 1: there's a crack as a massive wave slams on the
- 48:45Speaker 1: side of the ship and sends you skidding across the deck.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Brace yourselves, you yell as you roll to the side.
- 48:54Speaker 1: The whirlpools churn, spinning like hungry mouths in the water,
- 49:00Speaker 1: but you see a path directly between them, a narrow,
- 49:05Speaker 1: little opening between two spires of rock. It's tight, but
- 49:11Speaker 1: your ship's pretty small, and if you're fast enough, you
- 49:15Speaker 1: should be able to make it hard to starboard, you yell.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Your crew jumps into action, hauling the sails as you
- 49:25Speaker 1: grip the wheel, turning with all of your strength. The
- 49:30Speaker 1: ship lurches, nearly capsizing as it squeezes through the gap.
- 49:36Speaker 1: For a moment, you think you've made it, and then boom,
- 49:42Speaker 1: a massive wave crashes over the deck. The mast groans,
- 49:47Speaker 1: the ship shutters, the storm sparrow barely holds together as
- 49:53Speaker 1: it breaks free of the rocks, and the sea calms
- 49:59Speaker 1: x sharply to have much report, you ask, there be
- 50:05Speaker 1: some broken boards and a busted sail. Your first mate shouts,
- 50:11Speaker 1: but we're still sailing. You grin good because I have
- 50:18Speaker 1: a feeling that the real danger is still ahead. It's
- 50:22Speaker 1: a long time before you finally see the island in
- 50:26Speaker 1: the distance, but before you can celebrate, you see something
- 50:31Speaker 1: moving in the sky. At first you think it's a cloud,
- 50:36Speaker 1: but then it makes a strange shrieking sound and you
- 50:41Speaker 1: realize that it's not a cloud at all. It's hundreds
- 50:45Speaker 1: upon hundreds of winged creatures. They descend down towards the ship,
- 50:53Speaker 1: their talons glinting in the sunlight. Your crew begins to panic,
- 50:59Speaker 1: but for some reason you don't. You step forward, take
- 51:05Speaker 1: in a deep breath, and then you strike. The first
- 51:11Speaker 1: creature dives. You dodge, spinning and kicking with perfect precision
- 51:18Speaker 1: pyra jitsu. You execute a perfect backflip and knock a
- 51:23Speaker 1: creature out of the sky. Another lunges, but you parry
- 51:28Speaker 1: you with a kick, sending it tumbling into the sea.
- 51:31Speaker 1: The creatures shriek and fury swarming faster. You're amazed at
- 51:37Speaker 1: your own ability, but there's just too many creatures. You
- 51:43Speaker 1: look down and see it a whistle, your whistle. You
- 51:49Speaker 1: grab a hold of the whistle around your neck, blow
- 51:52Speaker 1: on it as hard as you can, and with that,
- 51:56Speaker 1: Sparkles launches from the mast with a mighty flap his wings.
- 52:02Speaker 1: But you also notice something strange. All of the creatures
- 52:06Speaker 1: around you seem to react to the whistle, shrugging themselves
- 52:11Speaker 1: backward and kind of I don't know, grimacing for a second,
- 52:16Speaker 1: if winged creatures can grimace. Sparkles joins the fight, using
- 52:21Speaker 1: his talon like feet to rake through the creatures and
- 52:26Speaker 1: knock them away, but there's just too many. And then
- 52:32Speaker 1: an idea strikes you. You run over to the speaking horn,
- 52:37Speaker 1: the device that's used to call across the deck, and
- 52:41Speaker 1: hold it in your lips. Then you grab your whistle
- 52:46Speaker 1: and blow it as loud as you can. The sound
- 52:50Speaker 1: amplifies a piercing note that shakes the air. The creatures
- 52:55Speaker 1: all shriek, but this time in pain. Then, like a
- 53:01Speaker 1: storm breaking, they scatter, disappearing into the sky. You continue
- 53:09Speaker 1: to blow the whistle again and again until all of
- 53:13Speaker 1: the creatures are gone. You lower the horn and the
- 53:18Speaker 1: crowd cheers, and before you the island rises from the mist,
- 53:26Speaker 1: Your destination, the Pirate King's Island. The storm sparrow drifts
- 53:33Speaker 1: towards the shore. Its haull is kind of broken, but
- 53:38Speaker 1: it's still afloat. The crew moves swiftly, securing ropes, lowering
- 53:44Speaker 1: the anchor, and nighttime begins to set, lit by a
- 53:50Speaker 1: very bright and very full moon. You leap off of
- 53:56Speaker 1: the ship onto a series of rocks, use your pirate
- 54:00Speaker 1: jitsu and gracefully land on the sand of the beach.
- 54:07Speaker 1: The moonlight glistens over the sand, revealing something that shouldn't
- 54:13Speaker 1: be there. A shipwreck, A massive, black sailed ship, half
- 54:20Speaker 1: buried in the sand, its masts splintered. It's once proud
- 54:26Speaker 1: flag torn and faded. Your chest tightens. This is no
- 54:32Speaker 1: ordinary wreck. This must be the Pirate King's ship. Capt'n
- 54:40Speaker 1: your first mate, says something's wrong. You feel it too.
- 54:47Speaker 1: The air starts to feel heavy and wrong, and then
- 54:54Speaker 1: you feel a tremor. The sand shifts, the water stirs,
- 54:59Speaker 1: and with a terrible roar, something rises from the depths.
- 55:03Speaker 1: A giant octopus. It's massive tentacles, moving around and slamming
- 55:10Speaker 1: against the shore, knocking crew members off of their feet.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Its eyes are huge, and you see something in them,
- 55:21Speaker 1: not hunger, something worse intelligence. You barely roll aside as
- 55:29Speaker 1: a tentacle whips down, cracking the sand just where you stood,
- 55:34Speaker 1: and the battle begins. You do a perfect flip, dodging
- 55:39Speaker 1: another strike, and with pirate jitsu, you land a powerful
- 55:44Speaker 1: kick against the creature's side, but it's gigantic and barely
- 55:49Speaker 1: phased by that at all. Your crew attacks as well,
- 55:54Speaker 1: sparkles dives, clawing and slashing at the giant octopus. But
- 55:59Speaker 1: it's not enough. You need something more, and then you
- 56:05Speaker 1: see something very strange, a golden necklace hanging around the
- 56:10Speaker 1: creature's neck. Something about it feels wrong, and then in
- 56:17Speaker 1: a flash, you understand this isn't just an octopus, this
- 56:23Speaker 1: is actually the pirate King. You run toward the wrecked ship,
- 56:29Speaker 1: diving through the cracked hull, and inside, half buried under
- 56:35Speaker 1: gold and jewels, you find it. A gigantic box with
- 56:41Speaker 1: its lid thrown open. Patched into the surface is ancient
- 56:47Speaker 1: pirate writing a warning, a curse. Those who seek the
- 56:54Speaker 1: treasure must be pure of heart else, they become what
- 56:59Speaker 1: they take. The pirate king took the treasure, and it
- 57:05Speaker 1: took him in return. You hear the beast roaring, and
- 57:10Speaker 1: you realize you don't have much time. You grab your
- 57:14Speaker 1: whistle once again and blow it as hard and as
- 57:17Speaker 1: loud as you can. In second, Sparkle swoops in, landing
- 57:22Speaker 1: beside you. I need your help, buddy, you say quickly,
- 57:27Speaker 1: I need you to find the necklace, the necklace that's
- 57:30Speaker 1: hanging around the octopus's neck. The parrot hound sniffs, its
- 57:36Speaker 1: eyes sharpen, and then its head snaps up in a
- 57:41Speaker 1: flurry of wings. He launches into the night. You race
- 57:46Speaker 1: back to the beach, just in time to see Sparkles
- 57:49Speaker 1: snatch the golden necklace off the octopus's neck. The beast howls,
- 57:55Speaker 1: its tentacles flailing, Sparkles soars through the air, drops the
- 58:00Speaker 1: necklace toward you. You jump up and, using the box itself,
- 58:07Speaker 1: catch the necklace, slamming the lid of the box down
- 58:11Speaker 1: as quickly as you can. For a second, nothing really happens,
- 58:18Speaker 1: and then there's a burst of golden light. The beast freezes,
- 58:24Speaker 1: its massive form glows, its tentacles start to shrink, its
- 58:29Speaker 1: eyes start to soften. Then, where the gigantic octopus once stood,
- 58:38Speaker 1: the Pirate King himself stands before you, human once more.
- 58:44Speaker 1: He looks at his hands, at the wreckage around him,
- 58:48Speaker 1: and then at you, and he smiles, kid, he says,
- 58:56Speaker 1: his voice rough from years lost. You've done what no
- 59:02Speaker 1: other pirate ever has. I always knew some scally wag
- 59:08Speaker 1: would come after my treasure, but I never thought they'd
- 59:12Speaker 1: be the one to save me instead. The rest of
- 59:17Speaker 1: your crew gathers, still in shock, sparkles lands beside you,
- 59:24Speaker 1: ruffling his fur, and the Pirate King shakes his head,
- 59:29Speaker 1: looking around at the ruined ship, the golden treasure spilling
- 59:34Speaker 1: out of its broken hull. I thought I had it all,
- 59:40Speaker 1: he mutters, the biggest horde of treasure the world had
- 59:44Speaker 1: ever seen. But I took what wasn't mine to take.
- 59:49Speaker 1: The curse twisted me, made me something something else. His
- 59:55Speaker 1: eyes flickered towards the massive golden box, the ancient warning
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: still carved in its surface. He sighs. No pirates should
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: claim what they don't deserve. You cross your arms, So
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: what now? You ask? Where? Kid? The Pirate King says,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I think it's high time, this island finally lived up
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: to its legend. This treasure belongs to all pirates, not
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: just one man. Together, we can make this island the
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: greatest pirate haven the world has ever seen. Your crew
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: cheers and their voices rise into the night, and then
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: time starts to move faster as you have flashes of
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the next few years, building up the pirate island with
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: the help of your crew and your parrot hound, until
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you find yourself on a fully transformed pirate island with
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: pirates of all sorts visiting and celebrating and just having
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: a great pirate life. With that, a strange portal appears
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: beside you. Whoa, You almost forgot you were in a
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: book that and with that the librarian's voice appears. The
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: hunt for the Pirate King's treasure came to an end.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: You step towards the portal and once again you're sucked
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: into it, only to find yourself on the other side,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: laying down on the comfortable couch holding the buck. The
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: book closes and floats up into the air. Then, using
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: its covers as little wings, it floats off into the library. You,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: on the other hand, are feeling pretty tired w the librarian,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: you mind if I just have a quick little sleep
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: right here? You ask, not at all, the librarian responds.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: The lights in the library begin to dim gently. You
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: place your head on the very soft pillow, and you
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: tuck yourself into the very comfortable couch. With each breath,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: your mind begins to wander off a little more, and
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: your muscles begin to sink down into the couch, each
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: breath letting go of a little more tension, until you
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: feel like you're floating on a cloud that your mind
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: wanders off to thoughts of new dreams and new adventures
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: to come. Good night everyone. Now, this story takes place
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: in our Magic Library series, a place where you have
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: a magic key that can be put in pretty much
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: any wall and create a doorway to the Magic Library,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: a place where all stories are recorded and where those
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: very same stories can come to life. Now, this story
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: starts in much the same way as some of the others.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: There's some weather outside, weather that isn't so pleasant. There's
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: no use on going outside to play for some reason.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: The internet's down, so you're gonna have to occupy yourself today.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: You look around your room for different toys to play with,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: books to read, things to do. And that's when you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: see the key, an ancient looking metal key, the one
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: that leads to the magic Library. You grab a hold
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: of the key, walk over towards a blank wall in
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: your room, and press the key towards the wall. As
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: soon as you get close to it, magically, a little
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: key hole and the outline to a door appear in
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: the wall. You place the key in the key hole,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: turn it, and with a click, the wall opens up up,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: leading to a series of stairs that lead down to
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: another hallway, all lit by some sort of magical blue torchlight.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: You head down the ancient looking stone stairs and through
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: the long corridor until you once again come to another door.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: You turn the door handle, open it up, and you
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: find yourself once again in the Magic Library. Now, the
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Magic Library is absolutely gigantic. It stretches on further than
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: you've yet explored, different rooms, different corridors, different floors, all
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: stacks upon stacks upon stacks of books, and at the
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: same time you can see books floating through the air,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: using their covers like wings, moving from one place in
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: the library to another. Welcome back, young one, a voice says,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: from seemingly nowhere. The librarian what kind of adventure could
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: I bring you today? The voice asks, Huh, I don't
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: really know. Actually, to be honest with you, I'm kind
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: of in a creative mood. I'd sort of like to
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: make my own book. Then I have the perfect thing
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: for you, one blank book coming up. You soon see
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: another magical book whizzing through the air, flying with only
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: its covers. It shoots down towards you, changes position and
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: floats down into your hands, closing the cover as it drops. Oh,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: a blank book, you realize, as you open the cover
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: and see the little portal that leads inside the book,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: but nothing else on any of the pages. You carry
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the book down the stairs towards the large, comfortable reading area,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a huge series of couches of all different shapes and sizes,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: each one extremely comfortable and perfectly equipped for reading. You
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: sit down on one of the couches and you open
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: the cover again. How exactly does this work? You ask?
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: As you flip to the first page. All you see
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: are two things, A giant eraser picture and a giant
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: pen or pencil picture. Well, every blank book comes with
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: two things. A magical pen capable of drawing and writing
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: in any color you could imagine band, of course, an
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: eraser for erasing things. Oh cool, So I just go
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: into the book and then I can use those two things.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: You clarify. Yes, I will be around to guide you.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: So you flip back to the cover page, where the
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: little swirling portal is sitting, and you move your head
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: towards it. Suddenly your whole body feels like it's been
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: sucked through a straw, straight into the portal and then
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: out the other side, where you see nothing, I mean
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: pretty much nothing. You look to the left and you
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: just see blank whiteness. To the right, the same thing,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: a completely blank canvas. The only things sitting there, of course,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: on a little pedestal, are the magic pen and the eraser.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: You walk over to the pedestal, reach your hand out
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and pick up the pen. It's completely black, but it
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: seems to be full of rainbow colored ink. How do
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: I make this work? You ask? Where. All you need
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: to do is use your imagination. Picture what it is
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: you want to create as vividly as you possibly can
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: inside your mind, and then the pen will do the
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: And I can draw anything I want to, you ask, Yes,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: you can draw anything you want to. You can tell
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: any story you want to. It's all up to you. Cool. Well,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: let's see here. You hold the pen up in the air,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: you close your eyes, and you just try to imagine
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: a nice relaxing scene, a park with green grass and
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: trees and a blue sky, and maybe even some playground equipment.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Then something sort of comes over you. You automatically know how
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: to move the pen. You begin to swipe it back
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: and forth. Ink flows out of it and sort of
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: form itself into the pictures that you're thinking of. Soon,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: the green grass shoots out of the pen and spreads
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: all around you. Then the pen turns blue to create
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the blue sky and white for little clouds. Trees are created,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the playground comes to life. You put the pen down,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and you find yourself staring at a beautiful park on
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: a perfectly sunny day. And the coolest part is it
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: isn't just a picture. It's a fully built three D
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: rendering of the park itself. You walk over to the
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: playground equipment, you climb up on top of it, You
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: move around, you go down the slide. Everything works just
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: like you imagined. You move over to one of the trees,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: a perfect climbing tree, and you climb up it. Branch
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: by branch, working your way higher and higher into the sky.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: You look out at the landscape and as far as
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: you can see there's green grass and blue skies. You
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: move down to the bottom where what do you think?
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: The voice asks, this is so cool? How do I
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: create something new? Mah? For that, you would need the
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: new page button. Look on the back of the pen.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: You hold the pen up and sure enough, on the
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: back of it there's a little button, or two little
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: buttons to be exact, one that says next page and
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the other that says previous. You press the next page
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: button and it looks like reality itself is turning the
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: page around you. The park page flips almost straight through
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: your body and you find yourself on another completely blank page.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Now what do you want to have happen in this scene?
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: You think for a while. With it being kind of
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: a sad looking day outside and you wanting to run
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: around and explore, you want something active, something fun and well,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: something you probably can't really experience in reality. Hm. After
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: thinking for a while, it comes to you. I want
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: to be a ninja, you say to yourself, and you
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: picture the perfect ninja training areas, wall to climb obstacles
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: to jump and swing from, targets for ninja stars, swords
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: lining the walls, anything a ninja could imagine, And just
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: like before, ink starts to flow out of the pen
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: and it begins building itself into that reality. The ink
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: forms into obstacles, into buildings, into walls, into grass, and
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: again a beautiful blue sky. When you're finished, you look
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: around and see a pretty amazing ninja training area. There's
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: a ninja obstacle course off to the right, a huge
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: sparring and training area over to the left, a rack
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: of ninja weapons and ninja equipment on the wall of
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: the building. The only thing missing our actual ninjas, which
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: wait a second, can you draw those as well? You
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: picture in your mind a series of ninjas jumping from
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: place to place, and the obstacle course, sparring in the
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: sparring area, and once again, the ink starts to flow
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: out of your pen and your arm moves almost automatically.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Little blobs of ink form themselves into ninjas, fully equipped
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: in dark ninja garbs and ninja weapons. And when you're finished,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: the ninja training area has come to life. There's ninjas
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: checking out the obstacle course, jumping from platform to platform,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: swinging from ninja monkey bars and that sort of thing.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: And off to the other side there's a group of
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: ninjas formed a circle, with two ninjas fighting each other
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: in the middle. Cool. How can I join in? You
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: wonder where It is just as important to imagine the
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: main character as well as the scene. What are their abilities?
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: What are they wearing? In a place like this, all
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: of it can become a reality. So you do just that.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: You close your eyes and you imagine yourself in ninja garb.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: You imagine yourself with ninja likeabilities, the ability to do
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: cool front flips and spinning kicks and strikes, and you know,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: standing up on top of a single finger balancing in
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: the air. Then you allow the ink from your pen
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: to flow once again, only this time it's around your
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: entire body. Soon the ink moves out of the pen
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: and starts to form itself around your arms and legs,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: well your entire body frankly into a perfectly equipped ninja outfit.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: You place the pen in your ninja pocket. Since you
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: have the sudden urge to perform pretty amazing ninja moves,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: you look around, and with nothing to run into, nothing
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: to hit, you start to run forward. You jump up
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: in the air gracefully and execute a perfect front flip
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: landing on the ground gracefully, something you weren't to where
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: you could do. But to be honest, you suddenly feel
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: like you could do any ninja related thing, so you
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: start to try different things out. You jump up in
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: the air and do a perfect three sixty degree roundhouse kick. Cool.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: You jump forward onto your hands and find that you
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: can perfectly balance on them, and you begin walking around
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: the training area using your hands as feet. You're able
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: to balance without any issues at all. In fact, you
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: decide to see how far you can push these ninja abilities.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: You remove one of your hands, lifting it up beside
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: your body, and you can still balance on the other one.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Then you move yourself up onto your fingers instead of
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: your full hand, and you find you can balance on
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: your fingers. Then, slowly you remove your fingers themselves until
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you're standing on only one your pointer finger. Strangely, you
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: can perfectly balance on it as well. You bend your
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: arm and throw yourself up into the air, landing back
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: on your feet. That is amazing. Next, you try out
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: the Ninja Parkore obstacle course. You start on a series
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: of small pillars that get smaller and smaller as you go.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: You put your foot on the first one and you
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: leap to the second. This is actually effortless, you realize,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: because you are a perfectly trained ninja. You jump from
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: pillar to pillar as they get smaller and smaller and smaller,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: but it's no obstacle for a ninja as well trained
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: as you. Next, you get to a series of swinging bars.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: They swing back and forth in the air, high above
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: a large pool of water. You jump to the first
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: bar and grab a hold. It swings through the air
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: and you release it at its peak, performing a perfect backflip,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: before grabbing on to one of the other swinging bars.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: You make your way from bar to bar across the
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: huge pool of water, until you eventually land on the
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: other side and look up at a gigantic cliff. The
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: cliff looks like it should be completely impassable. There aren't
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: many hand holds at all, and well, frankly, you should
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: just slip down the thing, But you watch as some
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: of the other drawn ninjas make their way up, and
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: you assume you can do the same thing. You move
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: towards the wall, and your instincts take over, pushing your
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: hands and feet to the perfect grips places that don't
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: look like you should even be able to hold onto them,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: But with the right movements and the right pressure and
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: the right places, you're able to hold yourself onto the wall.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: You slowly move yourself up and effortlessly you climb up
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: which should be an almost impossible looking wall, but you
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: eventually find yourself at the top of it. Looking down
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: at the Ninja obstacle course beside you, you see a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: huge rope and watch as other ninjas use the rope
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: to swing back down to the ground. You grab a
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: hold of the rope, jump up in the air, and
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: swing down on a long arc towards the ground. The
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: rope lifts back up on the other side. You let go,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: do a perfect double backflip and land on the ground
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: in a perfect fighting pose. Right beside where the group
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: of ninjas are training. You wonder for a second if
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: they'll invite you in. Remember, says the voice, this is
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: your story. Whatever you wish to have happen will in
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: fact happen. Just hold the pen and picture it in
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: your mind. You reach into your pocket and pull out
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: the pen again. You imagine in your mind, the ninja's
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: parting ways and inviting you into the ring to battle
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: one of their kind. Range little strings shoot out of
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: the pen and into the heads or maybe the minds
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: of the ninjas surrounding, and then they suddenly look at you.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Would you like to join one of the masks? Please
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: this way? The ninja's part ways, inviting you to join them.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: On the training ground, you walk through into the center
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: where you see another ninja facing the other way. The
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: ninja turns around to face you. They bowed towards you,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: and you instinctively bow back, and then they take on
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: a very low and very mean looking ninja fighting stance.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: You do the same thing. The other ninja jumps in
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: the air, attacking with a double front kick, a jumping
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: double front kick to be exact. Your arms and legs
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: move automatically, blocking the kick out of the way, spinning
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: to the sides and striking back towards the ninja, stopping
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: just before you strike him in the head a single point.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: The ninja bows acknowledging the point and gets back to
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: his fighting stance. This time he runs forward using his fists,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: moving one hand around in the air left, right, up
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: and down, trying to sort of fake you out, but
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: once again your hands move automatically, blocking the ninja's hands
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: one by one, ducking underneath, spinning around, and executing a
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: perfect spin kick, which again stops just before it hits
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: your opponent. Once again, your opponent acknowledges the point, bows
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: towards you, and reaches out their hand. You shake their
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: hand and leave the arena. You feel amazing, like you
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: could do anything, but also a little bit tired. As
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: much as you moved with ease, your lungs can still
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: feel it, and you find yourself panting, I better take
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: a break, and you pull out the pen again and
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: hit the button for the previous page. The world shifts
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: around you and you find yourself still wearing the ninja
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: outfit inside the park again. You press the button once more,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: and you find yourself on a blank page, standing in
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: front of the portal. Back into the real world, or
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: into the magic library, anyway is. You move towards the
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: portal and you're once again sucked through it until you
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: find yourself back on the other side, sitting on a
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: couch holding the book. You place the book down beside
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: you and see that you're still wearing your ninja outfit.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Of course, without closing the book. You can still use
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: these things in the real world. Of Course, the last
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: time you did that, things didn't go that well. But
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: this time you created the book. What could there be
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: to even worry about? So you place the book off
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: to the side and you tuck the marker into your pocket.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: You decide to see what you can do here. You
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: jump up on one of the couches, and you find
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: that you can leap from couch to couch with ease.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: You start jumping from couches to bookshelves, over towards the
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: bottom of the stairs, and flip up backwards onto the
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: next platform, where you stand atop a rail. You run
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: across the rail with perfect balance, and then jump through
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: the air, performing another series of flips, before landing on
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: the ground, rolling and standing perfectly. It's amazing the agility
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: that comes with this sort of thing. You look over
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: towards the blank book, or the you know, the partially
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: blank book, and you see something else coming out of it,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: something unexpected. The eraser, the eraser which you never actually
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: took in your hands, come to think of, It floats
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: up in the air. It looks around the room, at
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: all of the books sitting around, and then it starts
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: to shoot towards them, smashing into different books and well
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: trying to erase them, where the voice of the librarian says,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: this is not good at all. I suggest you get
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: a hold of that eraser before it erases everything in
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: the library, and without hesitation, you try to do just that,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: running across the library, jumping towards the eraser that moves away.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: Just before you can grab it. It floats up in
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: the air, sort of taunting you, and then zooms off
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: towards another stack of books. You run, jump up on
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: the top of the couches, leap up towards the stairs,
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: and find yourself standing on the railing once again, running
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: after the eraser down a long corridor of books. The
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: eraser stops for a second to erase a book in
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: its path, and then floats up and shoots in the
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: other direction. You jump up in the air, aim for
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: a shandelier that's hanging in the middle of the library,
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: grab a hold of it with one of your hands,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: and swing around the left, shooting up into the air
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: towards the eraser. This time, you swipe with your right
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: hand and grab a hold of the eraser in mid air.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: You fall to the ground, land perfectly with a little
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: roll to kind of spread out your momentum, and keep
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: a hold of the eraser that tries to move left
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: and right. I think I got it. Ah, what do
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: we do about those erased books? Though, you ask, Well,
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: lucky for us, we do keep a backup button. This
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: button can restore the library back to a former save.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: Wait a second, you can. You can make a save
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: in the magic library. You ask, why, Yes, it is
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: magic after all, right, I guess I should have assumed that,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: you respond, where is this magic button? Well, it's down
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: a secret corridor. Follow the books, the librarian says, and
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: a whole bunch of flying books hover around you. They
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: then start to move through the library. You run after
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: the books, and the zigzag through different bookshelves, up seek
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: paths of stairs, and then they come to what looks
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: like a wall. They lower themselves down to the ground
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: and shoot through a tiny little corridor. You move over
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: towards the corridor, accidentally bumping into a bookshelf on your way.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Some books fly off of the shelves, one of which
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: lands on the ground and opens up. It has a
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: picture of a banana on it for some reason, like
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: a living banana with arms and legs. But with no
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: time to worry about that, You look back at where
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: the books are, headed through a long corridor that will
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: require you to crawl. You crawl through the corridor, down
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: a long series of tunnels until you come to a
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: small room where you can stand once again. The room
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: looks kind of like a control center. The whole bunch
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: of large magical books float in the air, each one
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: with a picture on it, a picture of different parts
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: of the library. It looks kind of like a magical
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: surveillance center. In the center of the floating books is
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: a large pedestal with a button on it. The reset button. Ah. Perfect,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: you found it. Now all you have to do is
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: press the button. You walk towards the button, when suddenly
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: something jumps out in front of you, a gigantic banana.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: The banana looks at you and then gets down as
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: low as it can in some sort of banana fighting stance.
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: You realize that you probably we should have paid a
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: little more attention to that book that fell off the
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: shelf and opened up. Seeing us open books to have
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: a way of coming to life in this place, but
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: there's no time for that. Now. You move yourself into
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: a perfect fighting stance as well. Face the banana, hold
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: out your front hand, and make a little motion that says,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: come towards me. The banana jumps through the air, and you,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: still in your ninja outfit, spin to the side kick
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: the banana, pushing it off of its center of balance
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: and onto the ground, and use your other hand to
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: hit the reset button. A flash of energy shoots out
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: of the button and into the library itself. Your ninja
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: garb disappears, the banana disappears, and presumably the whole building
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: is reset. Reset complete. The librarian announces. You make your
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: way back through the little corridor, and when you crawl
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: out the other side, you see that all of the
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: books you knocked off the shelf have been put back
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: in their place and closed. You find that you no
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: longer have the same strange ninja abilities you had before,
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: so you carefully walk through the stacks of books back
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: through the library towards the comfortable sitting area. You see
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: that even the book you drew yourself is gone, presumably reshelved. Well,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I think that's enough for one day of adventures, you say,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: as you walk back up the staircase and back towards
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: the door to your home. Goodbye, librarian, you shout, goodbye,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: see you again. Soon you walk back through the long corridor,
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: up the ancient looking stone steps, and through the door
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: back into your bedroom. You close the door, turn the key,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: and pull it out of the wall. As soon as
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: you do, the outline to the door and the keyhole
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: itself disappears, leaving your wall in pristine condition. Once again.
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: You see that it's now night time. You must have
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: been on that adventure for longer than you thought. You
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: place the key on a shelf, You climb into your bed,
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: and you close your eyes. You start to focus on
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: your breath, and with each breath you allow your muscles
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: to relax a little more, and you start to sink
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: down into the mattress. And the deeper you go, the
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: better you feel, and the better you feel, the deeper
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: you sink, until you feel like you're floating on a cloud,
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: and your mind wanders off to thoughts of new dreams
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: and new adventures to come. Good night, everyone, M M no,
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: and never never m M more than ne m
