Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 2: Hillary Clinton may be coming back.
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to the Mark Simone Show. Hey, it's Tuesday,
- 0:13Speaker 1: and it's like summer today. You're gonna have three days
- 0:16Speaker 1: of summer, like eighty something degrees. It's gonna go back
- 0:19Speaker 1: to being in the fifties next week sixties. But you
- 0:22Speaker 1: get the three day summer previews, so enjoy it. What
- 0:27Speaker 1: the hell happened with the Red Sox left? So the
- 0:28Speaker 1: Red Sox pitcher Garrett Crotchett Red Sox versus Twins game begins,
- 0:36Speaker 1: Red Sox pitcher Garrett Crotchet on the mound disaster gives
- 0:40Speaker 1: up eleven runs and two innings. Eleven runs total, meltdown
- 0:46Speaker 1: eleven runs and two innings. It's eleven to nothing at
- 0:50Speaker 1: the end of two. What are you gonna do? Well? Yeah,
- 0:52Speaker 1: and the Red Sox ended up losing thirteen to three.
- 0:56Speaker 1: You know, even great great pictures. Remember that famous Whitey
- 0:59Speaker 1: Ford story, A big great Yankee legend. Whitey Ford. He
- 1:04Speaker 1: is early sixties Yankees. He comes out, first pitch, he
- 1:08Speaker 1: throws the first pitch, batter hits a home run. First pitch,
- 1:14Speaker 1: next batter, Whitey Ford throws one pitch, batter hits a triple.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Next batter, Whitey Ford throws one pitch, batter hits a single.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Next batter, whitey Ford throws one pitch, batter hits another
- 1:28Speaker 1: home run. Finally, the manager comes out to the mound
- 1:31Speaker 1: and the catcher, Yogi Bear, runs up to the mound
- 1:34Speaker 1: and the manager turns to Yogi Yogi does he have
- 1:36Speaker 1: it tonight? And Yogy goes, how the hell would I know?
- 1:39Speaker 1: I haven't caught anything yet. I haven't caught a pitch.
- 1:42Speaker 1: So that was probably the worst opening of any pitcher. Hey,
- 1:46Speaker 1: you Democrats, you may have a problem. Yesterday, Hillary Clinton
- 1:53Speaker 1: is all of a sudden on Morning Joe, and I
- 1:57Speaker 1: was a little surprised. Morning Joe says, coming up the
- 2:00Speaker 1: next hour, Hillary Clinton will be with us. I can't
- 2:03Speaker 1: believe that Hillary Clinton's going to show up at MS
- 2:07Speaker 1: now in their little, tiny new studio. Remember they were
- 2:10Speaker 1: thrown out of NBC at this little studio in Times
- 2:13Speaker 1: Square at eight in the morning. Well, she didn't show up.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It was on the phone. That's how much she thinks
- 2:18Speaker 1: of Morning Joe and their three hundred thousand viewers. Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I'll just call in, but they kept her on a
- 2:24Speaker 1: long time, So she was on for about a half
- 2:26Speaker 1: hour talking about her ran talking about how bad Trump is.
- 2:29Speaker 1: All this is Hillary for happening. Then I noticed the
- 2:35Speaker 1: rest of the day, Hillary's on a lot of shows.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You may have a problem. She's on with Anderson Cooper,
- 2:41Speaker 1: She's on with CBS, She's all over the place. Is
- 2:44Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton? I think she's getting ready to run in
- 2:49Speaker 1: twenty twenty eight. You're going to have a problem here.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You know, Gavin Newsom has been the front runner, but
- 2:56Speaker 1: he's not going any place. He's not gonna make it,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and he's got this crazy wife who's really sinking everything
- 3:01Speaker 1: for him. But you got to remember the history of
- 3:04Speaker 1: Democratic presidential campaigns. If you go back through the past
- 3:08Speaker 1: three years out, four years out, there's always some pretty
- 3:12Speaker 1: boy who emerges as the big front runner, and whoever
- 3:15Speaker 1: that is right now, it's Gavin Newsom, But whoever that
- 3:18Speaker 1: is always fizzles out and bombs out and is gone.
- 3:21Speaker 1: In the past, it was John Edwards, in the past,
- 3:23Speaker 1: it was Gary Hart. There's always been a bunch of them,
- 3:27Speaker 1: but whoever's in front now never gets any place, never
- 3:29Speaker 1: goes any place. And then there were other people, some
- 3:34Speaker 1: of these governors, but none of them look like they're
- 3:36Speaker 1: going to really take off. And then well, what about
- 3:39Speaker 1: Kamala Harrismith. She says she'll run again. But in California,
- 3:45Speaker 1: Eric Swallwell having to give up his career and leave
- 3:50Speaker 1: a public life. That changes the whole governor's race in California.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It looked like he'd be the front runner. Run will
- 4:00Speaker 1: be Tom Steyer, who's got no chance. He's got no personality,
- 4:04Speaker 1: can't he's just unpleasant guy. So somebody could jump in there.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And now Kamala Harris, apparently behind the scenes, is looking
- 4:12Speaker 1: at running for governor California. She's seriously talking about jumping
- 4:16Speaker 1: into that race. Remember it's a one party state. If
- 4:19Speaker 1: you win as the Democratic nominee, you win the governorship.
- 4:23Speaker 1: So she's seriously looking at the governor's race. That takes
- 4:27Speaker 1: her out of the presidential race. So you got a problem.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I think Hillary is back. She was all over Television's
- 4:34Speaker 1: doing a lot of shows yesterday. Now she's this angry,
- 4:39Speaker 1: bitter woman. Lives up in that Chappaqua estate there. He's
- 4:42Speaker 1: also got a big, beautiful townhouse Georgetown, Washington, DC. But
- 4:47Speaker 1: she's like the old lady in Sunset Boulevard. He's drinking
- 4:50Speaker 1: all day, yelling and screaming about making a comeback. But
- 4:53Speaker 1: here she was on CBS yesterday in retrospect.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Do you think Bill should have resigned in the wake
- 5:00Speaker 2: of the Monica Lewinsky scan? Absolutely not. It wasn't an
- 5:03Speaker 2: abusive power. No. Now there are people who look at
- 5:07Speaker 2: the incidents of the nineties and they say a president
- 5:10Speaker 2: of the United States cannot have a consensual relationship with
- 5:14Speaker 2: an intern. The power imbalances to as an adult.
- 5:19Speaker 1: This is actually pretty funny. This is a real change
- 5:22Speaker 1: in tune. I know it's many years later. How many
- 5:27Speaker 1: years later is it. Yeah, it's like twenty five years later.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But to now act like we'ren't doing anything wrong. But no,
- 5:37Speaker 1: was anything wrong with No? Yeah, the president the United States,
- 5:42Speaker 1: you're not really supposed to be banging interns right in
- 5:44Speaker 1: the Oval Office on the floor of the Oval You're
- 5:48Speaker 1: not supposed to be doing that. Remember, Ronald Reagan would
- 5:52Speaker 1: never take his jacket off in the Oval Office. He
- 5:54Speaker 1: thought to be disrespectful. Even if he came in, you know,
- 5:57Speaker 1: sometimes you'd come in on a Saturday to do some work.
- 6:00Speaker 1: He would never come in without his jacket on. He
- 6:02Speaker 1: thought it was disrespectful to the Oval office. Compare that
- 6:05Speaker 1: to Bill Clinton, took his shirt off, took his pants off,
- 6:08Speaker 1: took us at me right in the Oval office. Let
- 6:11Speaker 1: me hear that again, she says. I mean even back then,
- 6:16Speaker 1: remember when Clinton finally had to confess indeed, I did
- 6:19Speaker 1: have an inappropriate affair with that Miss Lewinsky, and Hillary
- 6:25Speaker 1: had to look all upset, and you know, I mean,
- 6:28Speaker 1: clearly it was right. You can't justify this. But now
- 6:31Speaker 1: this is going to be her new attitude. We didn't
- 6:33Speaker 1: do anything wrong. It wasn't appraise she was an adult.
- 6:35Speaker 1: It was in retrospect.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Do you think Bill should have resigned in the wake
- 6:40Speaker 2: of the Monica Lewinsky scan? Absolutely not.
- 6:43Speaker 1: It wasn't an abusive power.
- 6:44Speaker 3: No.
- 6:45Speaker 4: No.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You know, in any company, any corporation, any business, if
- 6:52Speaker 1: you're the big executive and you're forty eight years old
- 6:56Speaker 1: and you're sleeping with an underling and he was like
- 7:00Speaker 1: only thirty. Any time an executive is sleeping with somebody
- 7:04Speaker 1: under him, no pun intended. You're you're not supposed to.
- 7:09Speaker 1: This is you get fired. In every company the world,
- 7:12Speaker 1: everybody gets fired because it's an imbalance of power. Now,
- 7:16Speaker 1: this would be the greatest single imbalance of power in
- 7:19Speaker 1: the history of the Earth. One's an intern, one's president
- 7:24Speaker 1: of the United States. If you were the vice president
- 7:28Speaker 1: of sales and she was one of the salespeople, that's
- 7:34Speaker 1: right there, you get fired. This is an intern, a
- 7:37Speaker 1: little intern, versus the president of the United States. So
- 7:41Speaker 1: she's saying it's not it's it's it's not inappropriate.
- 7:45Speaker 2: It's ridiculous people who look at the incidents of the
- 7:48Speaker 2: nineties and they say a president of the United States
- 7:51Speaker 2: cannot have a consensual relationship with an intern. The power
- 7:56Speaker 2: imbalances to an adult.
- 7:58Speaker 1: She was an adult, yes, two starstruck, I mean twenty two,
- 8:05Speaker 1: and she wasn't the most mature twenty two year old.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So I think you got a problem with Democrats. She's
- 8:10Speaker 1: running again. You're not getting rid of her. She's back.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And also I'm sure she's terrified of running against Donald
- 8:19Speaker 1: Trump because remember he just brutalized her in three debates.
- 8:21Speaker 1: He just slapped her around in those debates. So Trump
- 8:24Speaker 1: can't run, he's term limited out. So she's probably thinking
- 8:28Speaker 1: to herself, I don't want to tangle him again, but
- 8:30Speaker 1: I could beat Marco Rubio and I can beat jd Vance,
- 8:33Speaker 1: And what would Rubio run on his qualifications are secretary
- 8:38Speaker 1: of state. Well so was she? What's fans qualifying? I
- 8:43Speaker 1: was the vice president? Well so was she? Kind of
- 8:45Speaker 1: to Bill Clinton, So yeah, I think you're gonna have
- 8:50Speaker 1: a problem. You're not getting rid of her that easy.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Victor Orban, Hungary's leader, a strong man or Ban out
- 8:57Speaker 1: of power. Hey, by the way, you know they're acting.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's a big, big shock. It was not a shock
- 9:02Speaker 1: to anybody. Or Band's polling showed he would lose. He
- 9:05Speaker 1: had John McLaughlin, the greatest polster in the world. But
- 9:08Speaker 1: from what I hear the polls, his private polls showed
- 9:11Speaker 1: he wasn't going to make it. They really seriously didn't
- 9:13Speaker 1: think he'd make it. Or Band had all kinds of
- 9:16Speaker 1: problems from the funny business of money, corruption and all
- 9:22Speaker 1: kinds of things all over the place in Hungary, a
- 9:24Speaker 1: lot of corruption there. Also, he'd gotten too close to Putin.
- 9:30Speaker 1: He got way too tangled up with Putin. People didn't
- 9:33Speaker 1: like that, and they just wanted him gone. Hey, Congress
- 9:37Speaker 1: is back today in Washington, DC. Yeah, they took a
- 9:40Speaker 1: three week vacation. It's today the fourteenth. Yeah, three weeks
- 9:45Speaker 1: later they're back. Three weeks they got a vacation. They
- 9:49Speaker 1: just write this stuff into the rules. They get a
- 9:50Speaker 1: three week vacation for Easter, so they're back today. We'll
- 9:54Speaker 1: see what they do. You know, this Hassan Piker. You're
- 9:58Speaker 1: going to hear about this guy lot Hassan Piker. There's
- 10:01Speaker 1: a lot of scandal going on here, but just you'll
- 10:05Speaker 1: hear the name and maybe not know what it is.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Joe Rogan is the biggest thing on earth, especially for Republicans,
- 10:11Speaker 1: because Rogan's podcast can change elections, can really affect things.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I think it's one of the reasons one of the
- 10:21Speaker 1: major reasons Donald Trump won. Remember when he did Joe
- 10:24Speaker 1: Rogan's podcast and it was about two hours, it got
- 10:28Speaker 1: to eighty million people. You know, in the old days,
- 10:32Speaker 1: if you want to become present, you have to buy
- 10:34Speaker 1: these TV commercials, you run network TV commercials. Well, nowadays
- 10:37Speaker 1: those don't mean a damn thing. Nobody watches network TV anymore.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Two million people at the most, if you're lucky, maybe
- 10:45Speaker 1: a million and a half. That's all you're reaching with
- 10:47Speaker 1: those TV commercials. If you're on Joe Rogan's podcast, you're
- 10:52Speaker 1: talking to eighty million people. Even if it's not great,
- 10:56Speaker 1: like Kamala or somebody like that. You know, you might
- 10:59Speaker 1: get to even if it's not the biggest Joe Rogan podcast,
- 11:02Speaker 1: you'll get the forty five million people, but eighty million people.
- 11:05Speaker 1: So it's a very very powerful thing. You know. It's
- 11:10Speaker 1: like talk radio. Rush Limbaugh was the biggest thing in
- 11:14Speaker 1: talk radio. To be endorsed by Rush or get some
- 11:17Speaker 1: good coverage on Russia while that meant the world. So Republicans,
- 11:23Speaker 1: conservatives tend to totally dominate talk radio. So for years, Democrats,
- 11:29Speaker 1: we've got to get that going for us. We need that.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So they created Air America trying to create their own
- 11:36Speaker 1: Rush Limbaugh. They came up with the worst host you
- 11:38Speaker 1: ever saw. The big star was Al Franken. You remember
- 11:41Speaker 1: Al Franken. They thought he'll be a good talk show host.
- 11:45Speaker 4: And he came in and he talked like this, Al
- 11:48Speaker 4: Franklin with his voice, and well remember imagine four hours
- 11:51Speaker 4: every guy talking like this. And he did an NPR
- 11:54Speaker 4: kind of show with a lot of NPR type of guests.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And who else did they have on? Well, one late
- 12:02Speaker 4: night one was Rachel Maddow who went onto.
- 12:05Speaker 1: A big career. Who else was on there was Alf
- 12:09Speaker 1: Franken Janine Garafflo, Garafflo, whatever name is, you had a show.
- 12:15Speaker 1: She was kind of cute, but like an angry, screaming
- 12:17Speaker 1: left wing I don't remember, and I can't remember who
- 12:19Speaker 1: the rest of them were, but that totally bombs. So
- 12:22Speaker 1: what they're doing now, they're trying to create a Joe
- 12:24Speaker 1: Rogan Because of these Joe Rogan types, Conservatives are dominating podcasting,
- 12:30Speaker 1: so they're trying to catch up. So they came up
- 12:33Speaker 1: with this Hassan Piker. They decided this would be their guy.
- 12:37Speaker 1: He had what looked like a pretty popular podcast, so
- 12:40Speaker 1: they all got behind him. Hassan Piker, He'll be our
- 12:43Speaker 1: Joe Rogan. Well, the problem is that people have been
- 12:47Speaker 1: digging into Hassan Piker in the past and his old
- 12:50Speaker 1: comments and was all about how Hamas is much much
- 12:53Speaker 1: more noble than Israel. Nine to eleven. We deserved it,
- 12:59Speaker 1: We were awful deserve nine to eleven. They just found
- 13:02Speaker 1: tons of antisemitic, pro terrorist nonsense. So now the Democrats
- 13:07Speaker 1: don't know what the hell they do. Should they distance
- 13:10Speaker 1: themselves from a San Piker. They're too tied into him.
- 13:13Speaker 1: So he's going to be a big, big liability for them. Hey, mom,
- 13:18Speaker 1: Donnie embracing this socialism. You know, you figure, well, it's
- 13:22Speaker 1: easy to be a socialist when you're an Ivy League
- 13:24Speaker 1: college academic idiot on a campus. But when you're actually
- 13:28Speaker 1: in a real job managing a city, you're going to reality.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You'll start to wake you up. Now, Nope, he still
- 13:34Speaker 1: believes in this socialism, even the classic expression about what's
- 13:39Speaker 1: wrong with socialism? Listen me take that on.
- 13:41Speaker 5: I have thought often of the Margaret Chasters quote.
- 13:44Speaker 1: The problem with.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.
- 13:50Speaker 1: If anything, my friends, it seems that you eventually need
- 13:53Speaker 1: a socialist to clean up the mess. There you go. Now,
- 14:01Speaker 1: this is your typical college mentality, or Harvard Columbia Ivy
- 14:07Speaker 1: League campus mentality. You're like starry eyed, dreaming, idealistic, believe
- 14:14Speaker 1: all this nonsense even though it has no reality or
- 14:17Speaker 1: anything practical about it. So what you still believe it? Hey,
- 14:22Speaker 1: Harvey Weinstein begins his third trial today trying to beat
- 14:26Speaker 1: these rape charges. He's back on trial. When you're a prisoner,
- 14:33Speaker 1: and remember, when you're Harvey Weinstein, you've been living this
- 14:35Speaker 1: life of luxury for decades and all of a sudden,
- 14:37Speaker 1: you're in Riker's Island. You're in prison, and you see,
- 14:41Speaker 1: why keep going back on trial? Why keep fighting the case?
- 14:43Speaker 1: Why keep going back into court? Because if you're in prison,
- 14:48Speaker 1: in a terrible dungeon of a prison, eating prison food,
- 14:53Speaker 1: anytime you can go to court, it's like going to
- 14:55Speaker 1: Monte Carlo. It's like a resort compared to the courtroom.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You're in the courtroom, you get dressed up, You're sitting
- 15:02Speaker 1: in a nice, beautiful room with normal people. There's guards,
- 15:07Speaker 1: it's safe. There's a lot of recesses, breaks, lunch where
- 15:11Speaker 1: you go into the courthouse cafeteria, which is like a
- 15:15Speaker 1: five star dining compared to what you're eating in prison.
- 15:18Speaker 1: So if you can spend the thirty days in a
- 15:20Speaker 1: courtroom every day, it's much much better than sitting in
- 15:24Speaker 1: your prison cell. So they love going back to trial.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Here's kind of a Now, this is an interesting story.
- 15:34Speaker 1: There's a couple of products coming out. You're going to
- 15:36Speaker 1: be hearing about these that they go in your toilet.
- 15:40Speaker 1: One is like a white thing looks like a hockey puck,
- 15:42Speaker 1: an others little you're supposed to put this in your toilet.
- 15:45Speaker 1: It analyzes your urine and all the other stuff that
- 15:49Speaker 1: comes out. It analyzes them because that can tell you
- 15:53Speaker 1: a lot about your health. A lot of times you
- 15:56Speaker 1: go to a doctor for a big physical part of that,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I need a urine sand apple because from that they
- 16:01Speaker 1: can analyze that see all kinds of things about your health.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Same thing with a stool sample. So apparently this is
- 16:08Speaker 1: gonna become a They think it's gonna be huge. Everybody's
- 16:10Speaker 1: gonna put this in their toilet and I guess it
- 16:14Speaker 1: blewetooth to your phone and gives you a whole breakdown
- 16:16Speaker 1: of what's in there. It can detect early detection of
- 16:19Speaker 1: any medical problems, diseases, any of that kind of stuff. Now,
- 16:23Speaker 1: the only problem we already have this for sleep, Like
- 16:26Speaker 1: I got my Apple Watch on. I sleep with this on.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I wake up in the morning, first thing I do
- 16:31Speaker 1: is go to my phone and check my sleep score.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I didn't do well last night. I got a low
- 16:35Speaker 1: sleep score. It was awake too much. And then I
- 16:39Speaker 1: have this other one. This is a good tracker. It's
- 16:41Speaker 1: called sleep cycle. This is the best one. Yeah, I
- 16:44Speaker 1: got a low rating on there last night, and then
- 16:46Speaker 1: my snoring nine minutes of snoring. It records you snoring too.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You can listen to it. The reason I got a
- 16:52Speaker 1: low score too much talking in my sleep a lot
- 16:58Speaker 1: of Now the truth is I wasn't talking to It's
- 17:00Speaker 1: the TV. I like to fall asleep with the TV.
- 17:03Speaker 1: So it sounded to this thing like I was talking
- 17:06Speaker 1: in my sleep. It was actually the TV on. But
- 17:10Speaker 1: it drives you nuts because you don't and then you
- 17:12Speaker 1: show it to your doctor, Hey, look at this. This
- 17:13Speaker 1: doesn't it And he kind of rolls his eyes, you know,
- 17:16Speaker 1: stop with your Apple Watch. So that's the problem with
- 17:18Speaker 1: this thing that everybody's gonna put in their toilet. You're
- 17:21Speaker 1: gonna get a lot of false positives, false negatives, false this,
- 17:25Speaker 1: but you're gonna be seeing a lot of this. Hey,
- 17:27Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 17:30Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 17:34Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. Set up pre set on the
- 17:37Speaker 1: iHeartRadio app to dou Woor to hear Mark live.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Now back to Mark Simone on dou Woor. Let's take
- 17:50Speaker 1: some calls. Let's go to Paul Saratoga, New York. Hey, Paul,
- 17:53Speaker 1: how you.
- 17:54Speaker 5: Doing Hey, I'm doing well.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Mark.
- 17:56Speaker 5: Thank you. I'm calling you because I think you're like
- 17:59Speaker 5: Trump wish for. And Trump has been confused. He said
- 18:03Speaker 5: Alan to never never ever have a nuclear bomb, and
- 18:06Speaker 5: yet apparently he up with them twenty years of no enrichment,
- 18:10Speaker 5: and to me, twenty years is not never.
- 18:12Speaker 3: So what do you think?
- 18:14Speaker 1: Absolutely right? I don't like it either. It doesn't sound good,
- 18:17Speaker 1: but it's a negotiation, and Trump changes positions a lot
- 18:22Speaker 1: in negotiations. So it's like the weather in New York.
- 18:24Speaker 1: If you don't like it, wait fifteen minutes, you know,
- 18:27Speaker 1: so think?
- 18:28Speaker 5: Oh, I think that's right. But if you started twenty
- 18:30Speaker 5: you can only go down. You can't go up.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Uh, you forgot. It's Donald Trump that applies normally. It's
- 18:37Speaker 1: Donald Trump. The whole thing could change in two weeks.
- 18:39Speaker 1: But you're not wrong, but I think it'll change. Let's
- 18:42Speaker 1: go to Bonnie and Tom's River. Bonnie. How you doing
- 18:46Speaker 1: my Mark?
- 18:47Speaker 3: Listen?
- 18:48Speaker 5: I knew it. I knew that woman with dusting off
- 18:51Speaker 5: her pants suit for a reason.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Who oh Hillary? Yeah, yeah, it looks like she's getting
- 18:57Speaker 1: ready to run. She's getting the broom out.
- 18:59Speaker 4: How do we how do we get rid of her?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Well, Bill's tried for years. It can't be done.
- 19:05Speaker 5: She watched the dance in that ballroom. That's the whole state.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, remember she's got no shot. I mean, think
- 19:14Speaker 1: about this. She was at the height of her power
- 19:18Speaker 1: way back when two thousand and eight, at the absolute
- 19:23Speaker 1: zenith of her career. Two thousand and eight, she was
- 19:25Speaker 1: the Senator. She decides, now's the time she'll run for president.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Two thousand and eight. A total rookie, a total rookie
- 19:35Speaker 1: with two weeks in politics, comes out of nowhere and
- 19:38Speaker 1: takes the nom nomination away Barack Obama. Obama just wipes
- 19:44Speaker 1: her out, gets the nomination away from her. Well, she
- 19:47Speaker 1: waits eight years, prepares. She's secretary of State, and now
- 19:52Speaker 1: she's got even more credentials and even bigger resume. This
- 19:56Speaker 1: time she'll run. A total amateur, a guy who's never
- 20:00Speaker 1: been in politics for one second, A total amateur comes
- 20:04Speaker 1: out of nowhere and beats her, Donald Trump and takes
- 20:07Speaker 1: it away from her. So she's now ninety seven years old.
- 20:12Speaker 1: She's an old, drunken, old hag in Westchester, hasn't worked
- 20:15Speaker 1: in years, hasn't that a job in years, So she's
- 20:18Speaker 1: gonna have no shot, no shot, don't worry about her.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing?
- 20:25Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark, Good morning matter. Mark. Steve forb stole
- 20:29Speaker 6: my thunder when he said, what's Mandami gonna do when
- 20:32Speaker 6: a bunch of homeless people come into the Mundamie supermarket
- 20:36Speaker 6: with black trash bags clean out the place. And if
- 20:40Speaker 6: he's charging below market value for the food, how's he
- 20:43Speaker 6: going to replenish it?
- 20:44Speaker 3: Mark?
- 20:45Speaker 6: I don't believe that crime is decreasing in New York
- 20:49Speaker 6: City because jessic Condition last week comes out and says,
- 20:52Speaker 6: oh crime is down this, that and the other. And
- 20:54Speaker 6: Sunday night the Post report that crime in the subway
- 20:59Speaker 6: is up twenty one percent. Witnessed the guy over the
- 21:03Speaker 6: weekend who was doing the Ginsu knife demonstration in the
- 21:07Speaker 6: subway and wounded three senior citizens. And we have last
- 21:12Speaker 6: week the black version of Brooch Cassidy and the Sun
- 21:15Speaker 6: Dance Kid on the back of a moped like a
- 21:18Speaker 6: bunch of cowboys in Yahoo's squeezing off a shot and
- 21:23Speaker 6: then going the wrong way. The guy gets in an accident,
- 21:26Speaker 6: breaks his leg and it's over. He has to go
- 21:28Speaker 6: to the hospital and then we got these maniacs in
- 21:33Speaker 6: Jersey going into a Chick fil A during dinner time,
- 21:38Speaker 6: jumping behind the counter and squeezing off a bunch of
- 21:41Speaker 6: shots and killing somebody. The crime. I've never seen it
- 21:46Speaker 6: as audacious as this. Oh, not to leave out. Last
- 21:49Speaker 6: week in the Bronx, a bunch of thieves pull up
- 21:52Speaker 6: with hoodies and black masks and BMWSUV pull up in
- 21:58Speaker 6: front of a jewelry store, come out with fifteen pounds sledgehammers,
- 22:02Speaker 6: break the windows, break the doors inside. Security camera shows
- 22:07Speaker 6: them crashing all the display cases. Robin the jewelry. Honey,
- 22:12Speaker 6: it's they're not They're not even afraid. Normally it is.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Out of control, Vincent, great call, great point. But Mom
- 22:19Speaker 1: Donnie has come up with a way to bring down
- 22:22Speaker 1: the crime numbers, and that has changed the way you
- 22:24Speaker 1: count them. He's changed the way you counted. So they
- 22:28Speaker 1: did that with inflation years ago, remember under Jimmy Carter,
- 22:31Speaker 1: who inflation's a nineteen percent twenty percent. So they changed
- 22:34Speaker 1: the way they counted that. They don't include energy anymore,
- 22:37Speaker 1: they don't include food in that number. That way, the
- 22:39Speaker 1: number got lower. So hey, when we come back, Bill,
- 22:42Speaker 1: O'Reilly will be with us next. There's lots to talk
- 22:44Speaker 1: to him about, and we'll get to that in just
- 22:46Speaker 1: a moment on seven to ten WR, The Marks them Own.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Show on sevent ten WR.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Well Bill O'Reilly, the number one TV anchor for decades,
- 22:59Speaker 1: the number one selling a nonfiction author on Earth. He's got,
- 23:03Speaker 1: of course the TV show. Everything's at Bill oreilly dot com,
- 23:06Speaker 1: all his great books, and there's also his YouTube channel,
- 23:10Speaker 1: great stuff there, Bill O'Reilly at YouTube and now the
- 23:13Speaker 1: podcast called Will Do It Live. The first few episodes excellent.
- 23:18Speaker 1: The latest episode is Bill O'Reilly and Howie Mandel. You
- 23:22Speaker 1: got to watch his new podcast, We'll Do It Live,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and he's with us right now. Bill O'Reilly, how you doing.
- 23:29Speaker 3: I'm sorting through a lot of stuff. How about you?
- 23:33Speaker 1: I'm good. Explain your work ethic. A lot of people
- 23:35Speaker 1: could learn from this. You got a million things all
- 23:38Speaker 1: that You're like Trump, you keep adding more and more
- 23:40Speaker 1: to that workload.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Yeah. I had a big discussion in my staff today
- 23:46Speaker 3: and I just said, I just can't do any more work.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I'm at the limit of my capacity. I can't do anymore.
- 23:56Speaker 3: You know, it's hard to get people with my experience
- 23:59Speaker 3: to work in the media these days because number one,
- 24:08Speaker 3: we pay well, but most don't. Most operations done. Number Two,
- 24:13Speaker 3: the structure is that the Democratic Party now goes exclusively
- 24:21Speaker 3: to CNN and MS and the Republican Party goes exclusively
- 24:28Speaker 3: to Fox News, and so independent contractors like me, we
- 24:35Speaker 3: have to work very hard to get good guests on
- 24:40Speaker 3: the program because it's an easy play for them to
- 24:44Speaker 3: go over to the others and not going to be challenged.
- 24:46Speaker 3: There A lot of times they'll tell them the questions
- 24:50Speaker 3: in advance, which is of course against every journalistic ethic,
- 24:55Speaker 3: but that doesn't matter anymore, and so they go, well,
- 24:59Speaker 3: why do I want to do, O'Reilly? You might give
- 25:01Speaker 3: me a hard time when I can walk into any
- 25:04Speaker 3: Fox show and I'll scape, And that's what's going on.
- 25:10Speaker 3: So it's made things a lot more difficult in that area.
- 25:15Speaker 3: We are the top of the chart independently because we
- 25:19Speaker 3: have so many viewers, but still there are a lot
- 25:22Speaker 3: of people, like the Catholic Church that don't want to
- 25:26Speaker 3: go up against me. They would much rather go on
- 25:30Speaker 3: the sympathetic channels.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Now, Bill O'Reilly, they say, you can't fight with a pope.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Why you got it's just suicide. Yeah, but didn't Donald
- 25:40Speaker 1: Trump do this with the last pope a few years
- 25:42Speaker 1: ago and everything was fine a couple of weeks later.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, there can be a time I could.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I could mediate between Pope Leo and President Trump. I
- 25:53Speaker 3: could do it because you have to understand where both
- 25:56Speaker 3: are coming from. And it's not necessary early that they're clashing.
- 26:02Speaker 3: They just have a different view of life and they
- 26:05Speaker 3: have different mandates. And once that's explained to people, then
- 26:10Speaker 3: you take a lot of the political stuff out of it.
- 26:15Speaker 3: For example, I mean, if you know your Bible, when
- 26:20Speaker 3: Jesus was being convicted and crucified, he was taunted, well,
- 26:27Speaker 3: if you're the king of the Jews, bring down your
- 26:29Speaker 3: army and stop all this. And he just looked at them,
- 26:33Speaker 3: you know, at his tormentor seems they work. And you know,
- 26:39Speaker 3: the philosophy of the Catholic Church is passivism. They're passive.
- 26:46Speaker 3: It's peace and negotiation whatever. Trump is a confrontational guy
- 26:55Speaker 3: because he's in charge of solving problems. The Catholic Church
- 26:59Speaker 3: does not solve problems. It doesn't, it's not in business
- 27:05Speaker 3: to do that. It gives you guidance on how to
- 27:09Speaker 3: live on a personal level. But an acting president, or
- 27:14Speaker 3: you would think a leader of any country, their job
- 27:20Speaker 3: is to solve the problems on Once you get that out,
- 27:23Speaker 3: you could work together to some extent, but that's not happening.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but this is a pope that's a little more
- 27:33Speaker 1: political than he probably should be. He's a little too
- 27:35Speaker 1: far to the left. And how does anybody defend the
- 27:39Speaker 1: Iranian regime, this terrorist regime.
- 27:43Speaker 3: He's not really defending the regime, but he doesn't have
- 27:47Speaker 3: a realistic point of view on how to deal with
- 27:49Speaker 3: the regime. I think that's a fair statement. We're talking
- 27:53Speaker 3: about Leo Noweah. So when thirty thousand people were killed
- 28:00Speaker 3: in Iran by the government, you didn't hear a word
- 28:03Speaker 3: in the Vatican, right, Yeah, I didn't know, And I'm
- 28:09Speaker 3: a Catholic. I ain't hear a word. So what is
- 28:17Speaker 3: you know? Come on, if you're going to say, as
- 28:22Speaker 3: the leader of the Catholic Church, that give piece of
- 28:27Speaker 3: chance and you've got thirty thousand bodies on the floor,
- 28:33Speaker 3: you've got to discuss that. And that's where this whole
- 28:37Speaker 3: thing falls apart. But I think it could be put
- 28:39Speaker 3: back together again if the parties would, you know, stop
- 28:44Speaker 3: all the one upsmanship, because it doesn't do Trump any
- 28:48Speaker 3: good to criticize the Pope at all. He gets nothing
- 28:51Speaker 3: out of that. And all the pagan media people who
- 28:56Speaker 3: haven't seen a church since they were baptized, okay, right
- 29:00Speaker 3: around screaming, oh really doing this, not going to go
- 29:03Speaker 3: out of the pope. You couldn't get us about the pope.
- 29:07Speaker 3: You mark the Pope. Okay, So I mean there's so
- 29:12Speaker 3: much hypocrisy in this.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but listen, you're you wrote the book on Trump.
- 29:18Speaker 1: You shouldn't put the Jesus picture up, you shouldn't attack
- 29:21Speaker 1: the Pope. But he always does this stuff. He loves
- 29:24Speaker 1: to rile up his enemies.
- 29:25Speaker 3: He but this one is working against him now. So
- 29:29Speaker 3: he's losing popular opinion throughout the world. And that's pretty
- 29:33Speaker 3: amazing when Iran is topping you and poply popular opinion.
- 29:39Speaker 3: So you got to go to plan B. And Plan
- 29:42Speaker 3: B could have to be an explanation of why we're
- 29:45Speaker 3: doing what we're doing. And you know, we respect people
- 29:50Speaker 3: who disagree with us, but we have an obligation to
- 29:55Speaker 3: protect people from a theocracy that is very close to
- 29:59Speaker 3: getting a new clear weapon. I mean, it's got to
- 30:02Speaker 3: be done. That in that kind of a manner. He
- 30:05Speaker 3: can't be done. You know, four in the morning, pictures
- 30:09Speaker 3: of Jesus go out with Trump's face on it. Good
- 30:12Speaker 3: does that do him? It doesn't do him any good,
- 30:16Speaker 3: he seems so.
- 30:17Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 30:18Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not in there. I'm not telling him
- 30:21Speaker 3: more suggesting anything to the person. I'm going to see
- 30:24Speaker 3: him next week. I might ask him about it, but
- 30:28Speaker 3: we'll see.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Hey, let me ask you something. Hillary Clinton, she's on
- 30:32Speaker 1: Morning Shoe, She's on this, She's on CBS, all over
- 30:36Speaker 1: television yesterday. Is this woman thinking she's going to be
- 30:39Speaker 1: a viable candidate in twenty twenty eight? Is she's looking
- 30:41Speaker 1: to make a call?
- 30:42Speaker 3: I think that's absolutely an acute observation you're making. What's
- 30:49Speaker 3: in it for her to run out and do all this?
- 30:52Speaker 3: She sees the weakness of the field. There's nobody there,
- 30:56Speaker 3: So I don't know how old she is, but she
- 31:01Speaker 3: still has energy and she's still a big name. So
- 31:05Speaker 3: stranger things have happened.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but every time she's run for president ends in disaster.
- 31:10Speaker 1: First time a rookie beater Barack Obama. Second time a
- 31:13Speaker 1: total amateur Donald Trump beater. Doesn't she realize that maybe
- 31:16Speaker 1: she wasn't cut out to be president.
- 31:19Speaker 3: No, she doesn't realize that. She realizes that she's more
- 31:22Speaker 3: credible than Kamila Harris and there's nobody else Newsom and
- 31:27Speaker 3: these people she thinks she can handle them pretty easily.
- 31:31Speaker 3: So that's how she's seeing it, that there might be
- 31:34Speaker 3: another opportunity for her.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, yeah, Bill, alrighty, you've read the New York Times,
- 31:38Speaker 1: even the Wall Street Journal Gerard Baker. To right, these
- 31:41Speaker 1: things ran as a total failure where a total disaster
- 31:44Speaker 1: was How do they say that things are going pretty
- 31:46Speaker 1: well and Iran not the talks, but we've certainly done
- 31:49Speaker 1: a lot of damage to them.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's because they feel that Trump is more
- 31:56Speaker 3: of a danger to the world than I. Wrong do
- 32:01Speaker 3: They absolutely do, And that's why that's happening. So they're
- 32:06Speaker 3: gonna spend negative everything that happens and try to even
- 32:11Speaker 3: if Trump does prevail any end and get some kind
- 32:15Speaker 3: of treaty that works out, then they'll they'll still pound
- 32:20Speaker 3: him and say this is bad or this is bad.
- 32:22Speaker 3: They're never going to say Donald Trump did anything well.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Ever, Hey, I've looked at these talks with Iran and
- 32:32Speaker 1: it's leaking out now that we were asking no nuclear
- 32:35Speaker 1: material of any kind for twenty years. That's kicking the can.
- 32:39Speaker 1: It's further down the road, but it's still kicking the
- 32:41Speaker 1: can down the road. And I'm a little surprised that
- 32:43Speaker 1: Trump would agree to any time limit.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Well, you're gonna look at who's resident and from Carter
- 32:51Speaker 3: on because Carter got so hammered by the Iranians. That's
- 32:55Speaker 3: why I lost to Reagan. Nobody want to do with them,
- 33:02Speaker 3: and so Trump's the first one who's dealt with them
- 33:06Speaker 3: since nineteen eighty. It's a long, long period of time.
- 33:11Speaker 3: And I said at the very beginning, this is the
- 33:14Speaker 3: biggest gamble Donald Trump has ever taken in this entire life.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Because it might not work out. Now I think it will.
- 33:23Speaker 3: I think horror Moves is going to be a very
- 33:28Speaker 3: successful campaign by the United States. But if it doesn't,
- 33:34Speaker 3: Trump's going to get pounded in November.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Well we'll see. Hey, everybody, check out Bill O'Reilly's YouTube channel.
- 33:42Speaker 1: There's great stuff there. Go to Bill oreilly dot com.
- 33:45Speaker 1: You get the message today, the column, you get the
- 33:48Speaker 1: TV show there and the newest and best. I think
- 33:50Speaker 1: you should take a look at is the podcast. We'll
- 33:53Speaker 1: do it Live. Howie Mandel is the current one, right,
- 33:56Speaker 1: is there a new one timing?
- 33:57Speaker 3: Yep? Yeah, and we're steaming along on that thing. It's
- 34:01Speaker 3: got a lot of views, millions of views, and we're
- 34:06Speaker 3: pleasantly surprised. Simon.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Yeah, comes out the new ones every Thursday, right.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Yep, every Thursday we drop it.
- 34:13Speaker 6: So.
- 34:13Speaker 1: I love the Steve Sharippa one. There's some great ones there,
- 34:16Speaker 1: the Steve Croft one. The latest is Howie Mandel will
- 34:20Speaker 1: do It Live. And what's the best place to go
- 34:22Speaker 1: see that? YouTube?
- 34:23Speaker 3: Yep, YouTube is where we are. But we make it easy.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Just go to Bill O'Reilly dot com. You have a
- 34:29Speaker 3: little icon, you push it and bang it magically appears.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Everybody go to be I can't do anything. I can't
- 34:35Speaker 3: do anything more than that.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Everybody go to Bill O'Reilly dot com. Everything is there,
- 34:41Speaker 1: the books too, everything billoreilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly, thanks
- 34:45Speaker 1: for being with us.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Thanks for having me, Mark appreciate it.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Take care. Hey, coming up, Buck and Clay, they're going
- 34:52Speaker 1: to be here at noon today right after the news
- 34:54Speaker 1: three hours of Buck and Clay in an excellent show.
- 34:57Speaker 1: And you know that Curtis is back. He's here courteous
- 35:01Speaker 1: Lee every morning with Larry MENTI, the two of them together,
- 35:05Speaker 1: it's a great show. Six to ten on seven ten
- 35:08Speaker 1: w R.
- 35:10Speaker 3: It's more of mar mister New York on seven ten
- 35:14Speaker 3: w R.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Well, as you know, the talks with Iran broke off.
- 35:20Speaker 1: They were in Pakistan, you know, Saturday, they talked for
- 35:25Speaker 1: twenty one hours. They were unable to come to an agreement.
- 35:27Speaker 1: That's it, you know, the talks broke off. Apparently behind
- 35:30Speaker 1: the scenes, the President is telling everybody involved, stay in Pakistan,
- 35:38Speaker 1: stay in Islamabad. He's expecting the talks will resume very
- 35:43Speaker 1: quickly and maybe in the next maybe tomorrow, maybe Thursday.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Definitely by Friday. Thinks the talks will resume. Now there's
- 35:51Speaker 1: the Pakistan Field Marshal General Assim Munier. He's the go
- 35:58Speaker 1: between and Trump is working with him, and they feel
- 36:02Speaker 1: things are going to pick up and resume very quickly.
- 36:06Speaker 1: So that means Steve Witkoff and maybe JD. Vance, I
- 36:10Speaker 1: don't know if you'll go this time. It means they
- 36:12Speaker 1: have to go back to this. They say, it's a
- 36:15Speaker 1: five star hotel in Pakistan. Look at this, This doesn't
- 36:19Speaker 1: look like a five star hotel. But it's Pakistan. It's
- 36:22Speaker 1: Islama Bad, Pakistan, so they may have to go back there.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Can you imagine going to Islamabad, Pakistan, sitting in a
- 36:28Speaker 1: conference room talking to Iranians for twenty one hours? Does
- 36:32Speaker 1: this sound like a lot of fun to you? I
- 36:33Speaker 1: don't think so. Or as Obama would say Pakistan, remember
- 36:38Speaker 1: he used to say it's Pakistan. But whenever Obama meant,
- 36:42Speaker 1: you'd say in Pakistan Pakistan. That's a liberal thing. That's
- 36:46Speaker 1: an elitist, ivy league liberal thing to pretend that there's
- 36:50Speaker 1: some real pronunciation that you don't know about. Only he
- 36:53Speaker 1: knows about it, so expect that to resume. Also, hey,
- 36:58Speaker 1: this is just coming out. Joe Biden did not want
- 37:01Speaker 1: to pick Kamala Harris as his vice president. He was
- 37:05Speaker 1: forced to by Obama and the party leaders. They pushed
- 37:10Speaker 1: Kamala Harris onom he had no choice. Now it turns
- 37:14Speaker 1: out he wanted Gretchen Whitmere, the Michigan governor, not the
- 37:19Speaker 1: most impressive person in the world, but certainly a lot
- 37:21Speaker 1: smarter than Kamala Harris. That's who he really wanted. She's
- 37:25Speaker 1: sort of a Jill Biden type a woman, but that's
- 37:28Speaker 1: who he wanted, but he was told, no, you're picking
- 37:31Speaker 1: Kamala Harris, and that's it. Obama was the big Kamala
- 37:36Speaker 1: booster pusher, and that's how he got stuck with her. Hey,
- 37:39Speaker 1: we're out of time, but we got Buck and Clay
- 37:41Speaker 1: with an excellent show coming up next right after the news,
- 37:45Speaker 1: and then they'll be here for three hours. Then the
- 37:47Speaker 1: most listened to radio show of all Sean Hannity. I'm
- 37:50Speaker 1: here every day ten to noon, or you could listen
- 37:54Speaker 1: anytime you want. If ten to noon doesn't work, just
- 37:56Speaker 1: get the podcast that way, you can listen anytime, day
- 37:59Speaker 1: or night. Beautiful, great day, it's going to be near eighty.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I'll see you tomorrow seven ten wo
