- 2:41Speaker 1: Sports Cove is just gonna get right into this. It's
- 2:43Speaker 1: about thirty seven minutes, thirty eight minutes here with miss
- 2:46Speaker 1: Julia Daniels, So let's just get straight to it. Julia
- 2:50Speaker 1: comes to us from Carrie Leven to NBC affiliate here
- 2:54Speaker 1: in the Twin Cities, Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Born raised
- 2:59Speaker 1: in Arkansas, went to Alabama for college, got into sports
- 3:04Speaker 1: broadcasting there, and well, hell, she's gonna tell you the
- 3:09Speaker 1: whole story. So let's just get to it here with
- 3:12Speaker 1: the one and only Julia Daniels on the Sports Done
- 3:15Speaker 1: Right Podcast, brought to you by Seventh Avenue Pizza. All right, everybody,
- 3:26Speaker 1: good to be back with you here a little break
- 3:28Speaker 1: on the Sports Done Right Podcast. But man, do we
- 3:31Speaker 1: got an a lister for you today. The one and
- 3:35Speaker 1: only Julia Daniels from care eleven Sports has been so
- 3:39Speaker 1: kind to join us. So Julia, first off, thank you
- 3:42Speaker 1: very much for joining us.
- 3:43Speaker 4: How you doing, Oh my god, thanks for having me.
- 3:46Speaker 4: I'm doing good. I'm doing good. It's my Monday today.
- 3:50Speaker 4: So the sun came out.
- 3:51Speaker 1: We're living there, you go, there, you go. Okay, So, folks,
- 3:57Speaker 1: you might detect a little bit of that in her
- 3:59Speaker 1: talk there, but Julia's an Arkansas girl, went to Alabama.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So let's just kind of start there, kind of talk
- 4:06Speaker 1: about you know, growing up, your how you found sports,
- 4:10Speaker 1: your love of sports, Where did that come from?
- 4:13Speaker 4: I grew up so I'm the youngest of four kids,
- 4:16Speaker 4: boy girl, boy girls. I have two brothers, one sister,
- 4:19Speaker 4: and a dad who loves all things football. So growing
- 4:24Speaker 4: up in the South, you know, it's I was in
- 4:26Speaker 4: SEC country, and I grew up an Arkansas fan and
- 4:30Speaker 4: also a Cowboys fan, and I was born in ninety seven,
- 4:33Speaker 4: so I got the worst of both of those teams.
- 4:39Speaker 4: But honestly, every Saturday and every Sunday was dedicated to
- 4:44Speaker 4: watching football for half the year, and that is just
- 4:47Speaker 4: what we did all the time. My brother played football,
- 4:50Speaker 4: so we did a lot of traveling for seven on
- 4:52Speaker 4: sevens all summer long, and then football season was strictly
- 4:56Speaker 4: dedicated to traveling every Friday night to every one of
- 5:00Speaker 4: his games. And then Saturday you wake up and who's
- 5:03Speaker 4: playing on you know, starting at eleven am all the
- 5:06Speaker 4: way through until ten pm at night. And that was
- 5:08Speaker 4: just kind of what got me into it. I also
- 5:10Speaker 4: went to a high school that had really great football,
- 5:13Speaker 4: so we won a lot of state championships growing up.
- 5:15Speaker 4: And then also I was in high school with Daniel
- 5:18Speaker 4: Gafford and so we were a big basketball high school
- 5:22Speaker 4: as well, So you just spend all your free time
- 5:25Speaker 4: going to sporting events. And also when you're in a
- 5:27Speaker 4: small town, that is the only thing to do when
- 5:29Speaker 4: you anyways, and so it just really got me into it.
- 5:32Speaker 4: I did play soccer growing up, and then I also
- 5:36Speaker 4: did competitive dance and like a choir and things like that.
- 5:40Speaker 4: So I loved the performance aspect of things, and I
- 5:43Speaker 4: also loved sports, and I thought, why not put it
- 5:45Speaker 4: together and try out sports broadcasting?
- 5:47Speaker 1: So very cool, very cool. Now, how did you wind
- 5:50Speaker 1: up going to the University of Alabama?
- 5:53Speaker 4: Well, I so the funny thing is when it comes
- 5:56Speaker 4: to TV in retrospect, and maybe it wasn't my wisest
- 6:01Speaker 4: decision to just go all in on one thing, but
- 6:03Speaker 4: I love the saying if you have a Plan B,
- 6:06Speaker 4: it means you don't fully believe in Plan A. And
- 6:09Speaker 4: so seventeen years old, I thought, you know what, I
- 6:12Speaker 4: think I'm going to go into sports broadcasting. And I
- 6:14Speaker 4: started looking up universities that had really great programs for that,
- 6:19Speaker 4: and I Maszoo was a little bit too far for me.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Even though I'm in Arkansas, I was at the Louisiana border,
- 6:26Speaker 4: and so Miszoo is like an eight or nine hour drive,
- 6:28Speaker 4: which my parents were like, we're not sending you somewhere
- 6:31Speaker 4: eight or nine hours away, and I knew I didn't
- 6:34Speaker 4: want to go in state in Arkansas, just because Arkansas
- 6:36Speaker 4: is a little bit like a small town and so
- 6:38Speaker 4: every single college that you go to, you're going to
- 6:41Speaker 4: know everybody there. And I wanted a new experience. You know,
- 6:43Speaker 4: you grow up in a small town and you want
- 6:45Speaker 4: something different. But I also knew I wanted the big
- 6:48Speaker 4: SEC school experience. So LSU is about six hours away
- 6:53Speaker 4: from me. They didn't have a great broadcast program at
- 6:56Speaker 4: the time, Okay, so I started looking. Georgia was a
- 7:00Speaker 4: little bit too far away, even though they have a
- 7:01Speaker 4: great program. And then I was like, wow, Alabama is
- 7:04Speaker 4: only five hours away from my hometown, and so we
- 7:08Speaker 4: went and we visited. I also visited Old Miss, but
- 7:10Speaker 4: Old Miss is really well known for their print journalism,
- 7:14Speaker 4: and I knew I didn't want to do that. I
- 7:15Speaker 4: wanted to do broadcast, and so I went to the
- 7:17Speaker 4: University of Alabama and we toured and the Tuscaloosa TV
- 7:22Speaker 4: station is actually owned by the university and it's run
- 7:26Speaker 4: by a few administrators. And then students are your predominantly
- 7:31Speaker 4: your on air talent there, and so you kind of
- 7:33Speaker 4: get that commercial experience before you even graduate, which is
- 7:36Speaker 4: really great because there's not a lot of universities that
- 7:38Speaker 4: you can go to that are going to give you
- 7:39Speaker 4: live shot experience before you even stepped into a market
- 7:44Speaker 4: somewhere else once you graduate. And so I decided to
- 7:47Speaker 4: go there, and I got an internship at it's WVUA,
- 7:54Speaker 4: and then I started working my sophomore season with the
- 8:00Speaker 4: SEC on CBS, so Gary Danielson and Brad Nessler and
- 8:04Speaker 4: then Jamie was the sideline at the time, and I
- 8:07Speaker 4: was kind of like Jamie Erdall's production assistant, one of
- 8:10Speaker 4: her production assistants on the sideline, and so I made
- 8:13Speaker 4: a mentor out of her, and she has guided me
- 8:17Speaker 4: basically through my career until now. And she's from the area.
- 8:20Speaker 4: You guys probably know that, and she's the one that
- 8:23Speaker 4: kind of helped me get the foot in the door
- 8:24Speaker 4: at care eleven. But Alabama was so instrumental. I will
- 8:28Speaker 4: say I'm very brutally honest about Alabama's academics. I know,
- 8:31Speaker 4: I joke and everything. The Communications School is still definitely
- 8:36Speaker 4: a work in progress, but it was the opportunities that
- 8:39Speaker 4: I knew that the Alabama sports programs were going to
- 8:43Speaker 4: give me right. That was a huge pull for me.
- 8:46Speaker 4: You know, Everyone's like, you only went there for the football,
- 8:48Speaker 4: and I was like, well, I was doing sports broadcasts,
- 8:50Speaker 4: So yeah, that had a huge, huge role in bringing
- 8:54Speaker 4: me there. So yeah, it was a fun time and
- 8:56Speaker 4: I loved my time there. I drank the kool aid,
- 8:58Speaker 4: and I will be emotionally invested in Alabama athletics.
- 9:03Speaker 1: All right, And folks, Julia Daniels joining us again from
- 9:06Speaker 1: Kerrey eleven here on the Sports Done the Right podcast,
- 9:09Speaker 1: speaking Obama before we get into the Minnesota sports here.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You know, and I've told Julia, you know, I got
- 9:16Speaker 1: a lot of SEC fans that follow the shows. Everybody
- 9:20Speaker 1: knows out there, but for folks up north, tell them, really,
- 9:25Speaker 1: you know, just a couple minutes about Bama football, that culture.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I mean, what it really means to that state, that region,
- 9:34Speaker 1: Because you know, you look at it from outside and
- 9:38Speaker 1: you go, geez, man, some of these people are just
- 9:40Speaker 1: freaks about this football down there, but you were in
- 9:43Speaker 1: the middle of it. What does it truly mean to
- 9:46Speaker 1: the state of Alabama.
- 9:47Speaker 4: The only way I can describe it is there's this
- 9:50Speaker 4: stark difference in the Southeast and the Midwest, and that
- 9:53Speaker 4: is that in the Midwest, people are emotionally invested in
- 9:57Speaker 4: their NFL teams, right, Right, It's the exact same same thing,
- 10:00Speaker 4: only it's just sec football, right, It's almost I mean,
- 10:04Speaker 4: you go to a Vikings game and what do you see.
- 10:06Speaker 4: You see people dressed up like Vikings, you see face paint,
- 10:09Speaker 4: you see crazy costumes, and you're like, well, this makes
- 10:13Speaker 4: sense because I'm out a Vikings game, right, And then
- 10:15Speaker 4: you have your heat like super big rivalry with the Packers, right,
- 10:19Speaker 4: It is emotional for people. It's the same thing like
- 10:23Speaker 4: if you Auburn, I cannot stand Auburn by hate Auburn.
- 10:29Speaker 4: It's just something in me that makes my blood boil
- 10:31Speaker 4: when it comes to Auburn. And the only way that
- 10:33Speaker 4: I can, you know, empathize with Vikings fans when it
- 10:36Speaker 4: comes to the Packers' rivalry is that it's very similar
- 10:39Speaker 4: to my hatred of Auburn. And that's how people live
- 10:43Speaker 4: and breathe. They live and breathe by their college football teams.
- 10:45Speaker 4: In the South, that's just kind of how it is.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Unless you live in say New Orleans or Dallas or
- 10:52Speaker 4: you know, Atlanta, then you're like a falcon Span, a
- 10:56Speaker 4: Saint Span, a Cowboys fan. But if you're outside of that,
- 10:59Speaker 4: you pick your call and that's who you're sticking with
- 11:01Speaker 4: and through the good and the bad. I mean, these
- 11:03Speaker 4: are loyal, loyal fans. But I will say I worked
- 11:07Speaker 4: in recruiting my sophomore year in the football program, and
- 11:14Speaker 4: it gave me an inside look as to how because
- 11:17Speaker 4: you know, coming from a small town and then we
- 11:19Speaker 4: had good football whatever, but it's still Arkansas, right, and
- 11:22Speaker 4: you get to see how the machine works too, and
- 11:25Speaker 4: it's like, oh my god, it just takes it to
- 11:28Speaker 4: a whole other level of There are so many layers
- 11:32Speaker 4: to how this program has become so successful. And yeah,
- 11:37Speaker 4: I will say when Nick Saban retired, I cried for
- 11:39Speaker 4: two days. I was upset about it. I was in this,
- 11:45Speaker 4: I mean my entire sports department. Reggie Wilson was our
- 11:48Speaker 4: sports record at the time, and he's the one that
- 11:50Speaker 4: was like, uh juju rus and I just sat there
- 11:56Speaker 4: and I freaked out for the rest of the day.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And then the next day I cried all day long.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I was so upset.
- 12:02Speaker 4: But you know that's what it is. It's it's sec football.
- 12:06Speaker 4: You have your team and you just genuinely are emotionally
- 12:09Speaker 4: invested in them, and it doesn't matter how good or
- 12:12Speaker 4: bad they are.
- 12:13Speaker 1: That's just how it is, exactly exactly. And I say,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you've been now these past three years with the Big
- 12:20Speaker 1: ten kind of reclaiming their dominance. Here you are, you know,
- 12:24Speaker 1: you're working in Big ten country.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Now, And oh, yeah, I'm okay, I'm all right. I
- 12:29Speaker 4: still you know, I still have a love for my
- 12:32Speaker 4: SEC country, right, But I do. I have respect for
- 12:35Speaker 4: the Big Ten and how they really I mean, the
- 12:37Speaker 4: Big Ten was so dominant when I was very young
- 12:41Speaker 4: and then in the nineties two and so I think
- 12:43Speaker 4: they're kind of reclaiming their royalty a little bit, but
- 12:47Speaker 4: I have respect. I also cover the go ferst and
- 12:49Speaker 4: so I'm very clued in with how things are going there.
- 12:53Speaker 4: I wish that they would step things up just a
- 12:55Speaker 4: little bit, make things a little more interesting for US
- 12:57Speaker 4: coverage wise, but I do, Yeah, I'm okay with it.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Any competition in college football, I'm here for it. I
- 13:04Speaker 4: love a good game. I hear you.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I've been to one SEC game.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Me.
- 13:09Speaker 1: My ex wife went down to Louisiana, went down to
- 13:13Speaker 1: LSU home comings. She had to work for oh wow, man,
- 13:17Speaker 1: And that's when I got to see it first hand.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Whole different world. And you know, I mean I've been
- 13:24Speaker 1: to an Ohio State game, so I've seen their pomping circumstance,
- 13:28Speaker 1: you know, and they're on par with you know, any
- 13:30Speaker 1: SEC team like Michigan all of that stuff. But man, yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 1: down South boy, whole different thing.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I think the thing that makes it different compared to
- 13:40Speaker 4: like NFL is the tailgating. The tailgating is a whole
- 13:44Speaker 4: other level in the SEC. I mean when we're at
- 13:46Speaker 4: you know, and with the SEC and CBS. I was
- 13:49Speaker 4: traveling to all the different SEC schools, so I've seen
- 13:51Speaker 4: all kinds of tailgating, right, Like I've been at the
- 13:53Speaker 4: Florida Georgia game, biggest cocktail party in the South. I've
- 13:56Speaker 4: also been to Illness and Georgia. Georgia's also so crazy.
- 14:00Speaker 4: But the tailgating setups that people have, I mean these
- 14:04Speaker 4: are like giant tints with chandeliers hanging in them and
- 14:08Speaker 4: then private chefs catering these tailgates, you know, And that's
- 14:13Speaker 4: I love that people do that. But I also love,
- 14:16Speaker 4: like you go to an NFL game, where you go
- 14:18Speaker 4: to a big ten game and I do think the
- 14:20Speaker 4: tailgating's a little different, but it's more like not necessarily
- 14:24Speaker 4: that the people are blue collar, but the tailgating itself
- 14:27Speaker 4: is a little more blue collar, and like, yeah, yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 4: people have they got their grills out there and they're
- 14:32Speaker 4: grilling themselves. There's nobody out there being bougie and rights
- 14:38Speaker 4: in their six TVs set up, you know that kind
- 14:40Speaker 4: of thing. It's crazy. People take it so seriously. I mean,
- 14:43Speaker 4: half the year is spent making sure that you have
- 14:46Speaker 4: your spot on whatever quad it is that you tailgate on,
- 14:49Speaker 4: and then your setup is nuts.
- 14:52Speaker 1: And that's what I noticed down at LSU. That was
- 14:54Speaker 1: like the first time where I saw a tailgate like
- 14:56Speaker 1: across the whole campus. Yeah, but everywhere you went it
- 15:01Speaker 1: was a tailgate. And it was insane because now it
- 15:04Speaker 1: was like, hey, we're in the middle of campus and
- 15:07Speaker 1: there's you know, people everywhere. And you know, I've been
- 15:10Speaker 1: a Goper season ticket older for the past twenty years,
- 15:14Speaker 1: so I you know, I get the tailgate culture here
- 15:16Speaker 1: and just how different it is. But yeah, it's just
- 15:20Speaker 1: it's so crazy down there. So all right, so Julia
- 15:24Speaker 1: here is I don't want to keep you all day
- 15:25Speaker 1: here as we could talk all day, But let's get
- 15:28Speaker 1: into these Minnesota teams here, because two in particular, I
- 15:31Speaker 1: think are kind of making their move to go all in,
- 15:34Speaker 1: the Timberwolves in the Wild. Let's start with the Wild.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Just take a couple of minutes there, GM mister Billy
- 15:42Speaker 1: over there. I think, you know, maybe he didn't get
- 15:46Speaker 1: the big, huge concrete move here before you trading deadline,
- 15:51Speaker 1: but I like what the Wild did and you know
- 15:55Speaker 1: that honestly. Yeah, they're they're like, hey, we're going for
- 15:58Speaker 1: it right now. And in the state of hockey, you know,
- 16:02Speaker 1: on the pro side, that's kind of what we've been missing,
- 16:05Speaker 1: is that championship and a deep playoff run obviously too.
- 16:08Speaker 1: So yeah, give us your thoughts on the Minnesota Wild
- 16:12Speaker 1: and the moves they've made here recently.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I thought it was cool for Bobby
- 16:18Speaker 4: Brink to come home and have a debut like he
- 16:20Speaker 4: had and a huge shutout win. That was so cool.
- 16:23Speaker 4: I think the announcers even gave him a little minnetaka
- 16:27Speaker 4: shout out last night, which was very cool. I mean,
- 16:29Speaker 4: what better way could you come home and win a game? Too?
- 16:33Speaker 4: So I think Bill garn he's been in his bag
- 16:36Speaker 4: this year a little bit. You know, they made the
- 16:39Speaker 4: splashy move of bringing Quinn Hughes in and that was
- 16:43Speaker 4: very abrupt. I think they did a really good job
- 16:46Speaker 4: of making sure that nobody else knew about that move.
- 16:49Speaker 4: I think it's so fun to have the Felino brothers
- 16:53Speaker 4: together on one team too. Moose is obviously such a
- 16:55Speaker 4: huge personality for them. Having Nick here as well, it's
- 16:59Speaker 4: very cool. I don't know if you saw this, but
- 17:01Speaker 4: they've never played on a team together their entire lives,
- 17:05Speaker 4: not even once, not many. Now that they're together, I
- 17:11Speaker 4: know their families are very happy. Obviously, Moose isn't back yet,
- 17:14Speaker 4: but I think it's a solid move for them. I
- 17:18Speaker 4: think Bobby Bring's gonna be a great addition for them
- 17:20Speaker 4: as well. I think that they uh definitely won the
- 17:24Speaker 4: trades that they've made this season. Hopefully it's enough to
- 17:28Speaker 4: get them past a playoff series. You know, that's all
- 17:30Speaker 4: Wild fans are really hoping for at this point. I
- 17:32Speaker 4: think it's what Wild fans deserve should they end up
- 17:36Speaker 4: facing the Stars, you know, a top one again. But
- 17:41Speaker 4: I think the Wild. I think the Wild and the
- 17:42Speaker 4: Timberwolves both they don't they they are excellent teams. They've
- 17:48Speaker 4: been so well put together that they don't need I mean,
- 17:53Speaker 4: the Quinn Hughes trade was obviously a huge blockbuster trade,
- 17:55Speaker 4: but at this point in time, the moves that have
- 17:59Speaker 4: been made are just enough to push push the needle
- 18:02Speaker 4: a little bit, because that's all these teams need in
- 18:04Speaker 4: order to get over the humps that they're trying to
- 18:07Speaker 4: get past. Right, And so I think the Wilder are
- 18:11Speaker 4: well on their way to hopefully a good postseason. But
- 18:13Speaker 4: I think there's still a little bit left to be
- 18:16Speaker 4: desired from them, But I think that they have the
- 18:18Speaker 4: tools in their toolbox to get them there.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I totally agree. And you know, flipping that over
- 18:23Speaker 1: to the Timberwolves here, I mean, you know that that
- 18:26Speaker 1: Western Conference is so just combobulated. I think right now,
- 18:30Speaker 1: if I'm checking the iPad here, I think they're sitting
- 18:32Speaker 1: in like fifth place technically, but you know, two games
- 18:36Speaker 1: either way you can be in or out of the playoffs,
- 18:39Speaker 1: it seems, I know. And you know, and now all
- 18:42Speaker 1: of a sudden, this guy down in San Antonio is
- 18:48Speaker 1: really starting to play some ball in the San Antonio
- 18:51Speaker 1: Spurs because everybody was just talking, you know, an okac repeat,
- 18:55Speaker 1: I know, and so you know, I'm looking at it
- 18:58Speaker 1: from a Wolve standpoint. There the obvious obviously those are
- 19:01Speaker 1: the two top teams. But I'm like, all of a sudden,
- 19:04Speaker 1: I'm like, man, are the Timberwolves. Let me ask you this,
- 19:08Speaker 1: what happens f say the Timberwolves go out early first
- 19:12Speaker 1: round exit? Does Chris Finch get fired? I mean, what
- 19:17Speaker 1: do you what do you see there? Because you know,
- 19:20Speaker 1: we've seen two years obviously of the of the deep run.
- 19:23Speaker 1: But it just me and my friend were talking the
- 19:25Speaker 1: other day, is like, you know what.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Happens if they actually like went out in the first round,
- 19:30Speaker 4: you go out in the first thing, that is when
- 19:32Speaker 4: potentially we do see Chris Finch get fired. And then
- 19:35Speaker 4: I think also that is when Tim connolly says, all right,
- 19:39Speaker 4: it's time to make some splash ear moves. It's time
- 19:41Speaker 4: to shake things up because something's not working right. You
- 19:44Speaker 4: don't have championship You've had championship caliber teams and now
- 19:47Speaker 4: they're not doing what they need to be done, which
- 19:49Speaker 4: means in my opinion, I'm not in the front office anywhere,
- 19:52Speaker 4: but at that point, it's like, you know, blow it up,
- 19:56Speaker 4: and especially if you see if you see the Spurs
- 19:59Speaker 4: go far in the playoffs this year, that is another
- 20:04Speaker 4: answer to your question. It's no longer the league of
- 20:07Speaker 4: you have to be together for years and years and
- 20:09Speaker 4: years before you become a championship caliber team. It's no
- 20:13Speaker 4: you can start with young guys at an inexperienced core.
- 20:16Speaker 1: And go far.
- 20:17Speaker 4: So I think this first will also answer a lot
- 20:18Speaker 4: of questions depending on how their postseason goes too. I mean,
- 20:22Speaker 4: the same thing that we're seeing in the NFL as well.
- 20:24Speaker 4: You see the Seahawks and the Patriots two years ago,
- 20:26Speaker 4: you would have asked if they would be in the
- 20:28Speaker 4: Super Bowl, and then they just rebuild their entire team
- 20:31Speaker 4: basically through drafts and trades and large trades at that
- 20:34Speaker 4: and spending money in the correct places. It does work.
- 20:37Speaker 4: There's a formula for these things. But I think also
- 20:40Speaker 4: front app your front offices have to be with the
- 20:44Speaker 4: times and how the leagues are changing throughout the years,
- 20:47Speaker 4: and younger guys are better. I think that sports is
- 20:51Speaker 4: evolutionary as it is. I think athletes are getting better
- 20:53Speaker 4: and better. I mean, you and I both see the
- 20:56Speaker 4: high school athletes here in Minnesota are sane more insane
- 21:00Speaker 4: than they were ten years ago. I mean the dedication
- 21:04Speaker 4: that you have to have, especially in hockey and basketball
- 21:06Speaker 4: in the state of Minnesota, even to make a varsity
- 21:08Speaker 4: team at a public high school, you have to spend
- 21:11Speaker 4: your whole life doing that. And that's what these and
- 21:13Speaker 4: it didn't used to be like that. You used to
- 21:15Speaker 4: look at Joe Mauer, he could be a multi sport athlete. Well,
- 21:17Speaker 4: I think he's a phenomenon when it comes to athletics.
- 21:20Speaker 4: I think at the same time, if you put him
- 21:23Speaker 4: in today's day and age, he would have had to
- 21:25Speaker 4: pick one in order to be successful.
- 21:27Speaker 1: At that's a very good point. Yeah, day of age end,
- 21:31Speaker 1: there's no way he could have did three sports, right,
- 21:33Speaker 1: you know, and then especially at his level, because somebody
- 21:36Speaker 1: would have.
- 21:37Speaker 4: You got to choose one, right, which is why you
- 21:39Speaker 4: didn't see Mason West in the state hockey tournament this year.
- 21:42Speaker 4: You didn't see him win a state championship of football.
- 21:45Speaker 4: And then he said, all right, I gotta focus on
- 21:47Speaker 4: one thing. I can't do both my senior year exactly.
- 21:50Speaker 1: So Anthony Edwards, you know, king of the corridor here
- 21:54Speaker 1: in Minnesota. Yeah, you know, coming off the All Star weekend,
- 21:58Speaker 1: getting that MVP is kind of elevated his status here.
- 22:03Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on the on the Timberwolves best
- 22:06Speaker 1: player there, and just kind of how he has really
- 22:09Speaker 1: come about this year, because he's really it seems like
- 22:11Speaker 1: he's almost now embracing being the man and you know,
- 22:16Speaker 1: having all that pressure put on him.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I think we saw a shift in him this
- 22:20Speaker 4: offseason when he was making different appearances on different television
- 22:27Speaker 4: shows and things like that. I think An is growing up.
- 22:30Speaker 4: He's no longer the twenty two year old that we
- 22:34Speaker 4: used talk about how he's so young and he's so Yeah,
- 22:36Speaker 4: he's not trying to do anymore. He is now becoming
- 22:39Speaker 4: a veteran in the league, and I think that he
- 22:41Speaker 4: is starting to embrace that role. I think that he
- 22:43Speaker 4: could embrace a little bit more. But I do think
- 22:45Speaker 4: something shifted in him and he for the first time
- 22:50Speaker 4: is vocalized that he wants to be MVP, which has
- 22:53Speaker 4: never been a thing before. You know, he used to
- 22:55Speaker 4: reject the thought of going for awards or trying to
- 22:58Speaker 4: be the face of the league. I still think he
- 23:00Speaker 4: rejects the face of the league thing a little bit,
- 23:02Speaker 4: but I think it's maybe out of his respect for
- 23:04Speaker 4: other guys like Lebron and things like that. But I
- 23:09Speaker 4: think that he has I think Anthony Edwards has so
- 23:14Speaker 4: much talent, and I think he has work ethic, but
- 23:17Speaker 4: I think he's figuring out what work ethic works for him,
- 23:20Speaker 4: and I don't. While I think in a lot of
- 23:23Speaker 4: areas he is top of the line MVP candidate, I
- 23:28Speaker 4: think his assists are something that are holding him back
- 23:32Speaker 4: at the moment. He's got to figure out how to
- 23:34Speaker 4: be a better floor general. He's got to figure out
- 23:37Speaker 4: how to make plays, uh and make other guys available
- 23:41Speaker 4: on the court besides himself. I think sometimes he gets
- 23:44Speaker 4: into because his whole life has been being the hero
- 23:48Speaker 4: for his team. That is what he has always been,
- 23:50Speaker 4: even when he was at Georgia growing up through high school,
- 23:54Speaker 4: and so that's hard to get out of. And also
- 23:57Speaker 4: he's had to be that for the Timberwolves for years now,
- 24:01Speaker 4: and now they've build a team around him where he
- 24:04Speaker 4: can trust his other guys. Offensively, I mean, I think
- 24:08Speaker 4: his defense could use a little bit of work, but
- 24:09Speaker 4: I do think he's gotten exponentially better on that end
- 24:12Speaker 4: of the court. But I think offensively he's gotten He's
- 24:16Speaker 4: moving into a space where he's got to figure out
- 24:18Speaker 4: the assist because he has guys like Jada McDaniel's offense
- 24:22Speaker 4: is three times what it was last season, you know,
- 24:24Speaker 4: and Julius Randall is also an incredible offensive player, which
- 24:27Speaker 4: we've known, but it's just the trust that he has
- 24:31Speaker 4: with his teammates. I think that'll push him over the edge.
- 24:33Speaker 4: And I think that he likes to hone in on
- 24:35Speaker 4: one thing in the off season, and I think that
- 24:37Speaker 4: everyone's talking about how his assists have got to be better.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Because when you want to be MVP and you've got
- 24:43Speaker 4: a guy like Jokic in the league, or you've got
- 24:45Speaker 4: a guy like Luka Doncic, those guys know how to
- 24:48Speaker 4: do that. They know how to share the ball, they
- 24:50Speaker 4: know how to not play hero ball every single night.
- 24:54Speaker 4: And I think that that is what will eventually get
- 24:57Speaker 4: him to that level. And he's just figuring it out. Well.
- 24:59Speaker 4: He's a he is still a little bit young, and
- 25:01Speaker 4: I think he does take certain lessons into his off
- 25:04Speaker 4: season and he makes the moves to make sure that
- 25:06Speaker 4: he's going to be better at that one particular thing
- 25:08Speaker 4: the next year.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Absolutely, And then you know, Rudy Gobert kind of speaks
- 25:13Speaker 1: up a little bit a couple of times here recently.
- 25:16Speaker 1: I thought that was kind of interesting as well, because
- 25:19Speaker 1: you know, you don't really kind of see that I
- 25:22Speaker 1: don't know, fraction, so to speak, within the Minnesota Timberwolves,
- 25:27Speaker 1: especially in the locker room. So I thought that was
- 25:28Speaker 1: really interesting that he decided to voice his opinions. What
- 25:32Speaker 1: did you make of that when you heard that?
- 25:34Speaker 4: I think we're talking about this on our Timberwolves podcast
- 25:40Speaker 4: Unlockdown last week. I think half of it is just
- 25:43Speaker 4: that Rudy's French, and Rudy just says whatever's on his
- 25:46Speaker 4: mind most of the time. That's just mean, That's just
- 25:49Speaker 4: kind of how it is. I think also, you know,
- 25:52Speaker 4: to counter that a little bit, that's why you don't
- 25:54Speaker 4: take it so seriously. I've seen this Timberwolves team. I
- 25:57Speaker 4: think they're very welcome there. There's not a lot of
- 26:01Speaker 4: friction going on in the locker room. I genuinely don't
- 26:04Speaker 4: think so. I think just Rudy has frustrations. We've seen
- 26:08Speaker 4: sometimes Rudy doesn't ring in his emotions very well. That's
- 26:12Speaker 4: just kind of how he is. And I think sometimes
- 26:14Speaker 4: he just says stuff and I think he might have
- 26:16Speaker 4: been a little bit frustrated those past few games, obviously,
- 26:22Speaker 4: And I think also sometimes when Rudy says things like that,
- 26:26Speaker 4: there's not a lot of self reflection going on either,
- 26:29Speaker 4: because I think he wants to be more involved offensively.
- 26:33Speaker 4: But I think he is one of those players still
- 26:36Speaker 4: that he has to build that trust offensively with his team,
- 26:40Speaker 4: and I think he's gotten better at the rim, but
- 26:42Speaker 4: sometimes it's like, Rudy, what what are we doing? And
- 26:48Speaker 4: so I think there's a there's a balance. I think
- 26:51Speaker 4: the team knows Rudy well enough and knows not to
- 26:54Speaker 4: take things too seriously. And I think also when you
- 26:56Speaker 4: have a guy like Anthony Edwards on a team and
- 26:59Speaker 4: then you have a guy like Rudy that's gonna stay
- 27:00Speaker 4: stuff every now and again, that's the perfect balance because
- 27:03Speaker 4: Athy Edwards is never gonna take that personal. He's just not.
- 27:06Speaker 4: He doesn't take anything personally.
- 27:07Speaker 1: It's just who he is. Nice, all right. So a
- 27:10Speaker 1: few more minutes here with Julius. So let's get to
- 27:14Speaker 1: the big sports albatross up here, the Minnesota Vikings, their
- 27:18Speaker 1: quarterback situation, all this whole thing, you know, no pun
- 27:23Speaker 1: intended went south so quickly. Yeah, I don't even know
- 27:29Speaker 1: where to begin here, because you know, God bless Sam Donald.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I wasn't a big Sam Donald fan of him, you know,
- 27:36Speaker 1: coming out of sc Obviously, anybody that goes to the
- 27:39Speaker 1: Jets is gonna have the issues. Goes to Carolina, you know,
- 27:43Speaker 1: he's battling with Baker Mayfield down there, and finally gets
- 27:47Speaker 1: the Frisco where it starts to turn around, and obviously
- 27:49Speaker 1: gets his championship in Seattle fourteen wins here. I you know,
- 27:55Speaker 1: like a lot of people, I thought they should have
- 27:57Speaker 1: found a way to keep him around somehow, some way.
- 28:00Speaker 1: But here we are. JJ McCarthy and the Vikings obviously
- 28:06Speaker 1: are looking for somebody to you know, in my opinion,
- 28:09Speaker 1: not play back up, but just to push him and
- 28:12Speaker 1: to be ready to be the starter just in case,
- 28:14Speaker 1: so you know, you cover him. Have you heard anything
- 28:20Speaker 1: what's going on with these Vikings, Julia?
- 28:22Speaker 4: I mean, I think Vikings fans can't expect too much
- 28:26Speaker 4: at this point because they're a GM list team.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I know, Rob, Yeah, that's the point I forgot to
- 28:32Speaker 1: mention too. Yeah, they still don't got the GM in
- 28:34Speaker 1: place right, and I think, you.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Know, kind of going back to the Samdarnald thing, in retrospect, Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 4: it looks like a huge mistake, right, And here's what
- 28:44Speaker 4: I will actually, going back a little bit further than that,
- 28:47Speaker 4: here's what I will say. And if I'm just gonna
- 28:49Speaker 4: speak candidly here with everybody, I was never high on
- 28:53Speaker 4: JJ McCarthy. I obviously I am an Alabama fan, and
- 28:57Speaker 4: I watched Michigan beat down Alabama his last year. But
- 29:03Speaker 4: it was not JJ McCarthy that did that. It was
- 29:06Speaker 4: Blake Koram that did that to Alabama. Yes, they had
- 29:10Speaker 4: such a run heavy offense. And then I'm hearing all
- 29:14Speaker 4: of the talk coming out of the Vikings about they're
- 29:16Speaker 4: so interested in JJ McCarthy and this, that and the other.
- 29:19Speaker 4: I'm thinking, I don't really understand. And this was just
- 29:23Speaker 4: me and I've said this on Julia.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Can I interrupt you because I just want to piggyback
- 29:29Speaker 1: on that point because I was on a show based
- 29:32Speaker 1: out of Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and we
- 29:35Speaker 1: were talking about this, and I've always thought that the
- 29:37Speaker 1: Vikings got enamored with being able to draft a national
- 29:41Speaker 1: championship winning quarterback. Yeah, just almost like a title you
- 29:46Speaker 1: can sell, right, Yeah, But honestly, but he was not
- 29:50Speaker 1: asked to do a whole lot throw a big pass
- 29:53Speaker 1: here or there, which he did. But like you just said,
- 29:57Speaker 1: run heavy offense, great defense. Yeah, yeah, I'm with you.
- 30:02Speaker 4: I mean, even as an Alabama fan until I mean,
- 30:05Speaker 4: I will say I was very spoiled while I was there. Right,
- 30:08Speaker 4: So our quarterback room was to uh Jalen Hurts and
- 30:11Speaker 4: Mac Jones, right, But before that, Alabama was winning national championships.
- 30:16Speaker 4: But guess what, their quarterbacks weren't going anywhere. Not of
- 30:19Speaker 4: those quarterbacks are in the league because when you have
- 30:21Speaker 4: these national championship teams, the quarterback doesn't have to do
- 30:26Speaker 4: everything right, especially when it comes to college you have
- 30:28Speaker 4: a very well rounded corps when you're winning a national
- 30:31Speaker 4: championship in college football. That's why I just was very confused,
- 30:36Speaker 4: and I was like, why why are we so high
- 30:40Speaker 4: on JJ McCarthy. I have not seen much out of him?
- 30:44Speaker 4: You know, there just wasn't a lot for me to
- 30:46Speaker 4: sit there and think like, Wow, this is the guy.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Obviously there was other quarterbacks in that draft that I've
- 30:52Speaker 4: done very well for themselves since then, but that was
- 30:55Speaker 4: kind of where I was at with J McCarthy. And
- 30:57Speaker 4: then obviously the injuries happened, and then you bring in
- 30:59Speaker 4: Sam dar. Sam Darnald has an incredible year. Here's where
- 31:04Speaker 4: I get a little bit iffy about the whole Sam
- 31:09Speaker 4: Donald thing. And like I said, hindsight's twenty twenty in retrospective,
- 31:13Speaker 4: it looks like a huge mistake. But in general, it
- 31:18Speaker 4: didn't make any sense to keep Sam Donald and pay
- 31:21Speaker 4: him what he was going to get paid, whether it
- 31:24Speaker 4: was by the Vikings or somebody else, because you have
- 31:26Speaker 4: a top ten draft pick quarterback in your room. When
- 31:30Speaker 4: you look at the numbers, it just doesn't make sense.
- 31:33Speaker 4: You cannot sit there and bench that guy for as
- 31:36Speaker 4: long as you can while also paying a guy one
- 31:41Speaker 4: hundred what million dollars or whatever they paid the Seahawks
- 31:45Speaker 4: paid Sam Donald. It just like the numbers don't make
- 31:48Speaker 4: any sense. And so the Vikings were kind of in
- 31:50Speaker 4: between a rock and a hard place at that point,
- 31:52Speaker 4: and they had to make a choice. Where you're coming
- 31:55Speaker 4: off a season where Kois did cook in the off season.
- 31:58Speaker 4: He brought in a lot of veteran guys, guys for
- 32:02Speaker 4: the twenty twenty four season, and they did very well
- 32:06Speaker 4: for themselves with Sam Donald as their quarterback, and so
- 32:08Speaker 4: he thought that he could take that formula and do
- 32:11Speaker 4: the same thing for the twenty twenty five season, but
- 32:14Speaker 4: without Sam Donald, we'll just plug and play a different
- 32:16Speaker 4: quarterback in there, which clearly that didn't work, But when
- 32:18Speaker 4: you look at the numbers, that is what they were
- 32:20Speaker 4: trying to do again while also working on giving their
- 32:25Speaker 4: quarterback the experience that they felt he needed in order,
- 32:27Speaker 4: and no one expected. I don't think for JJ McCarthy
- 32:30Speaker 4: to come in and win a Super Bowl his first season.
- 32:34Speaker 4: They expected a lot more out of him, though, and
- 32:36Speaker 4: there's a lot of learning curves that just honestly like
- 32:42Speaker 4: shouldn't have been learning curves. I understand making mistakes, but
- 32:45Speaker 4: it was just like constantly making the same mistakes over
- 32:48Speaker 4: and over again. And that's where I don't blame the
- 32:51Speaker 4: Vikings for not re signing Sam Donald heading into the season.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Obviously it looks bad now, right, but I also think
- 32:59Speaker 4: it goes back to the fact that they drafted JJ McCarthy.
- 33:01Speaker 4: I think that that is one of the reasons as
- 33:03Speaker 4: well that Cosey doesn't have job, doesn't have a job
- 33:06Speaker 4: with the Vikings as their GA anymore, is because they
- 33:08Speaker 4: drafted the guy like JJ McCarthy and it's also been
- 33:11Speaker 4: interesting to watch Kevin O'Connell talk about JJ McCarthy too,
- 33:17Speaker 4: because I think, you know, and this is just strictly
- 33:19Speaker 4: me jumping to conclusions here, but I think that there's
- 33:22Speaker 4: been some frustration amongst and I do have some sources
- 33:26Speaker 4: inside of the locker room that have told me that
- 33:30Speaker 4: there's been a lot of frustration with JJ McCarthy. And
- 33:34Speaker 4: and also you have to look at it too, as
- 33:37Speaker 4: you bring in a quarterback with the personality of JJ
- 33:41Speaker 4: McCarthy into a very veteran locker room, that's tough. That is,
- 33:48Speaker 4: that's gonna be hard for anybody that's young. And I,
- 33:50Speaker 4: you know, on a much smaller scale, have had that
- 33:53Speaker 4: experience where I came into care eleven and I was
- 33:56Speaker 4: much younger than everybody else was, and it's daunting and
- 33:58Speaker 4: it's hard to fit in. But I was also not
- 34:00Speaker 4: asked to lead that, you know, and I was able
- 34:04Speaker 4: to grow. So I think, like you, plug and play.
- 34:07Speaker 4: I think Drake May is an incredible quarterback, but he
- 34:09Speaker 4: also came into a Patriots organization where all the other
- 34:13Speaker 4: guys are young like him too, and so it gives
- 34:15Speaker 4: him easier access to be a leader. And it's hard
- 34:18Speaker 4: being a quarterback in the NFL when you're supposed to
- 34:21Speaker 4: be the helm of an offense, but people aren't really
- 34:24Speaker 4: looking to you for answers. And so I think it's
- 34:27Speaker 4: just like a weird spot that they're in right now.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Right, very very interesting take there, Julia, for sure. So okay,
- 34:35Speaker 1: quarterbacks that are available. Obviously there's Kirk Cousins, which I am,
- 34:43Speaker 1: I don't.
- 34:43Speaker 4: Know, Yeah, is not going to win you a super Bowl?
- 34:48Speaker 1: Well, I think that's it. So you know, Kyler Murray,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you know, And I think that's just really who's out there?
- 34:56Speaker 1: Nobody's that's going to get you really excited? No, who
- 35:02Speaker 1: would you? Who do you take? Julia? Who do you
- 35:05Speaker 1: think they wind up with alongside our present quarterback? Who's
- 35:10Speaker 1: coming in here?
- 35:12Speaker 4: Out of those two? I would probably, I mean, I'd
- 35:15Speaker 4: say Kyler Murray. I would pick Kyler Murray over him.
- 35:18Speaker 4: I think anybody else out there, who else is even available?
- 35:25Speaker 1: Like the Jets? Right, it sounds like Pittsburgh wants Aaron
- 35:30Speaker 1: Rodgers back. I see how that obviously plays out with him,
- 35:34Speaker 1: of course, But yeah, so I don't know, I don't know.
- 35:40Speaker 4: I got this is a constant conversation we're having in
- 35:43Speaker 4: our sports department, and truly we've got nothing. We've got nothing.
- 35:50Speaker 4: I think Kyler Murray is like the best choice that
- 35:53Speaker 4: you have at this moment in time. And even that's
- 35:55Speaker 4: a little bit. But you know what one thing I
- 35:57Speaker 4: will say about Kevin O'Connell is he does well. And
- 36:03Speaker 4: this is an experiment that I said this even before
- 36:06Speaker 4: last season. I said, you know, we've seen ko take
- 36:09Speaker 4: how many veteran quarterbacks and turn their careers around for them, right,
- 36:12Speaker 4: and then they get paid somewhere else. I think he
- 36:16Speaker 4: has a knack for that. And I said, I, well,
- 36:18Speaker 4: see if it's for all quarterbacks depending on how JJ
- 36:20Speaker 4: McCarthy's season goes. And I think that that's where Kevin
- 36:24Speaker 4: O'Connell like thrive a little bit, dealing with veterans who
- 36:29Speaker 4: know the league right. And because Kevin O'Connell's been in
- 36:32Speaker 4: the league for so long, he knows how that works.
- 36:35Speaker 4: And so taking a guy like JJ McCarthy and trying
- 36:38Speaker 4: to transition him to the league is something a little
- 36:41Speaker 4: bit newer for Kevin O'Connell. And that's why I think
- 36:43Speaker 4: maybe the something's a little bit off for them, and
- 36:47Speaker 4: that sense. But I also like, I have so many
- 36:52Speaker 4: reservations about Kyler Murray. I mean, this is the same
- 36:54Speaker 4: guy that had to have in his contract that he
- 36:57Speaker 4: wasn't allowed to play video games for a certain number
- 36:59Speaker 4: of hours or something like that.
- 37:01Speaker 1: You know, it's like, yeah, where's the priority, right And
- 37:06Speaker 1: you know.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Like obviously size has been an issue for him in
- 37:09Speaker 4: the league so far, and that's something that people really
- 37:13Speaker 4: had to take into consideration at this point. And so yeah,
- 37:17Speaker 4: it's bleak. Like, if I'm being honest, Vikings fans, things
- 37:21Speaker 4: are bleak for you at the quarterback position.
- 37:23Speaker 1: There you go, all right, So I want to end
- 37:25Speaker 1: it on this women's history Monk and coach don over
- 37:30Speaker 1: at the University of Minnesota with these University of Minnesota
- 37:33Speaker 1: women's team is just doing a phenomenal job. You know,
- 37:40Speaker 1: Hats off to the as they say in the song
- 37:42Speaker 1: over there, to her maybe getting a favorable slot here
- 37:47Speaker 1: in the tournament coming up to play at home. Let's
- 37:51Speaker 1: just talk, you know, a couple of minutes about what
- 37:54Speaker 1: coach don I just again, I love what she's done
- 37:57Speaker 1: over there, But Matt, tell people really about this program.
- 38:02Speaker 1: And because you know, I mean, coming off the Marrow
- 38:04Speaker 1: or bron injuries here these past couple seasons. Yeah, you know,
- 38:08Speaker 1: especially just when they get gone, the best player goes down,
- 38:11Speaker 1: and yet here they are top twenty team. Yeah, just
- 38:15Speaker 1: very impressed.
- 38:17Speaker 4: I think that it is such a testament to Don
- 38:20Speaker 4: Plitzowite as a coach because a lot of times in
- 38:23Speaker 4: today's day and age for college basketball, football, anything with
- 38:27Speaker 4: the transfer portal, a new coach comes in and players leave,
- 38:33Speaker 4: you bring new players in, it becomes this entirely new team,
- 38:35Speaker 4: and then you can't really actually gauge the coaching abilities necessarily.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Don Plitzowite is the prime example of No, she's just
- 38:44Speaker 4: a good coach because she came in and this is
- 38:47Speaker 4: almost the exact same team that Lindsay Waalam had and
- 38:51Speaker 4: she has taken these girls to another level and it's
- 38:56Speaker 4: been so it's been so exciting to see. I mean,
- 38:59Speaker 4: you see even just watching the girls on the court,
- 39:02Speaker 4: like they're staminas better, They're in better shape. They it
- 39:07Speaker 4: feels like they know each other better when you watch
- 39:10Speaker 4: in the chemistry it's gonna be off the charge because
- 39:12Speaker 4: they've been playing together for so long. But you really
- 39:15Speaker 4: feel like Don came in, she got to know these
- 39:18Speaker 4: young ladies, and that's what she always calls them, her
- 39:21Speaker 4: young ladies. She got to know the young ladies and
- 39:25Speaker 4: then she really exploited their talents for the better. And
- 39:30Speaker 4: we are seeing that now. I think there are they
- 39:32Speaker 4: projected to be a four seed and this is this
- 39:38Speaker 4: was her goal, this is what she's She came in.
- 39:40Speaker 4: She had explicitly told everybody this we will be in
- 39:45Speaker 4: March Madness, and I think she said in two years
- 39:48Speaker 4: and this is her second season, and here they are.
- 39:51Speaker 4: They're taking down top teams in the nation. They have
- 39:54Speaker 4: huge wins, and it's with the same core that she
- 39:57Speaker 4: came in with. And I think that also the fact
- 39:59Speaker 4: that these women have stayed around with her too says
- 40:04Speaker 4: a lot, because there are other places that they could go.
- 40:07Speaker 4: And I also think you something that the Gophers have
- 40:09Speaker 4: struggled with is nil obviously, and the fact that she
- 40:14Speaker 4: has done all of this with basically the same nil,
- 40:17Speaker 4: if not less than what she came in with, is huge.
- 40:21Speaker 4: And I think it's just like such an exciting time
- 40:24Speaker 4: for them. And you know what win or lose in
- 40:26Speaker 4: March Madness, getting there and being one of the top
- 40:29Speaker 4: teams in the nation and a two year span. It's
- 40:32Speaker 4: unheard of, and I think it just says so much
- 40:35Speaker 4: about her. I think Gopher fans have a lot to
- 40:37Speaker 4: look forward to with them with Don Plizplight as their
- 40:40Speaker 4: head coach.
- 40:41Speaker 1: There you go, Julia, I want to thank you. What
