- 0:00Speaker 1: Least. I have a question too, Are you still are
- 0:02Speaker 1: you still doing the set for life?
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yes? System, haven't you in hope a system.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Like where you keep you set it up where it
- 0:13Speaker 1: just keeps doing it every week?
- 0:14Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, well yeah, the end of the week
- 0:17Speaker 3: it says you want to play again, Well, in for
- 0:20Speaker 3: a penny for whatever I'd like.
- 0:24Speaker 1: The rest they just do it on a whim, you know,
- 0:27Speaker 1: as we walk past, walk past the chaos. So yeah,
- 0:30Speaker 1: so well what am I asking for you here? Obviously
- 0:34Speaker 1: get a little.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Bit like a nine dollar one, and that's that spurs
- 0:37Speaker 3: me on to go again.
- 0:39Speaker 1: That's a bit like the they've got a little syndicate
- 0:41Speaker 1: going here for Powerball, which is run by Kendall who
- 0:47Speaker 1: who just keeps reinvesting because we keep having these really
- 0:49Speaker 1: really minor wins which are basically just enough to buy
- 0:52Speaker 1: us another ticket.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Yes, Yes, that's how sort of works, isn't it.
- 0:56Speaker 1: The thing about lotteries is you've got to read the
- 1:01Speaker 1: fine print. As someone found out. I know myself. If
- 1:05Speaker 1: I if I go and scan my ticket after the
- 1:08Speaker 1: draw has been done, and it says sorry, not a winner,
- 1:10Speaker 1: thanks for supporting you, that's okay. I don't mind doing that,
- 1:15Speaker 1: I will actually go around to another Kiosk and just
- 1:17Speaker 1: scan it again. Really, yeah, just because just in case,
- 1:21Speaker 1: really and sometimes just in case. You know that Kiosk
- 1:26Speaker 1: is a bit dodgy. You know, scanners can go wrong,
- 1:31Speaker 1: things can happen.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Mine's online.
- 1:33Speaker 3: But if I've got a paper ticket, I actually will
- 1:36Speaker 3: circle my numbers at the time to play along and
- 1:38Speaker 3: at least get something out of it.
- 1:39Speaker 2: The thrill of the possibility. Oh okay, yeah, and I
- 1:42Speaker 2: know I'm not a winner.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'm not. I won't take I won't take no for
- 1:46Speaker 1: an answer the first time. That's funny, I'll do that.
- 1:49Speaker 1: But here's the reason why I bring this up.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Why do you want to do that?
- 1:55Speaker 1: I always said I was not like the other kids.
- 1:58Speaker 1: The reason I say to read the fine print is
- 2:00Speaker 1: because just a few weeks ago in Italy, a rubbish
- 2:06Speaker 1: company managed to recover a lottery players discarded one point
- 2:11Speaker 1: one five million dollar ticket because.
- 2:14Speaker 2: It was a winner.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Well what they did, yes, they went and scanned their ticket.
- 2:20Speaker 1: It was this million dollar day ticket and it came
- 2:24Speaker 1: up saying not payable. So so they just went home
- 2:29Speaker 1: and just threw it in the bin.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Because it sounds like it's not a winner, but not payable.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Meant was it's too big for this kiosk to pay out.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You've got to go to head off.
- 2:39Speaker 1: So you've got to go to head office, you know
- 2:40Speaker 1: where they have a little cold bottle of champagne. You
- 2:43Speaker 1: were ready to go. So they kind of worked this out.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I think it was somebody else in the family said no, no, no, no,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm not sure that that means you haven't won. So
- 2:53Speaker 1: they've contacted the rubbish company and they've managed to narrow
- 2:56Speaker 1: down which truck it was that picked up their rubbish
- 2:59Speaker 1: on that day, and they went ripping through it all
- 3:03Speaker 1: and in this bag was a whole bunch of discarded tickets,
- 3:06Speaker 1: including the winning ticket. Oh wow, and the cup was
- 3:13Speaker 1: all touched the ticket for luck. And then they went
- 3:16Speaker 1: and bought a ticket and they were won fifty seven dollars,
- 3:19Speaker 1: which is not one point one five million, But so it.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Was it was the garbage collectors that went.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Through the family. The family.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yes, the family didn't come out allowed anyway.
- 3:30Speaker 1: No exactly wants and all that kind of stuff and
- 3:32Speaker 1: good and so yeah, so they managed to narrow down
- 3:36Speaker 1: the truck and the bag.
- 3:38Speaker 2: That the ticket that's great. Wow, So Lisa, fine print.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Just read the fine print, and next time, maybe just
- 3:47Speaker 1: take a little bit of ad minds, just go maybe
- 3:50Speaker 1: try it around on a few different machines, just in
- 3:52Speaker 1: case one of them's bun and could be cheating you
- 3:55Speaker 1: out of a million dollars. I know you think, I
- 4:00Speaker 1: see you're doing a run around, you know, run?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Can I just try yours?
- 4:04Speaker 1: Well? The pins are always full there anyway, from all
- 4:07Speaker 1: the losing tickets, so I'll just you know, it doesn't
- 4:09Speaker 1: look weird that you don't put it in there anyway.
- 4:12Speaker 1: That's what I do. Still hasn't won me any money,
- 4:15Speaker 1: but then neither of you
