- 0:00Smila Rahman, Raheem Assalamu Alaikum and welcome back to
- 0:03another episode here on the Aftermath of podcast.
- 0:07If you missed us last week, well that's because we had an event,
- 0:10Rising Dawn at Beck Theatre London and we want to thank each
- 0:14and every single one of you who attended the event.
- 0:17A special shout out to all our 50 plus volunteers and to all
- 0:20our guests, our speakers, our scholars and our reciters who
- 0:24joined us and participated on the day.
- 0:27Another thing I want to reference is that if you haven't
- 0:30seen the news recently, last Friday during Juma prayers in a
- 0:35mosque in Pakistan, there was a violent, violent attack on
- 0:39worshippers while they were performing Salah.
- 0:43This is something very tragic and something we see repeating
- 0:46many times over the years. Many call it this is genocide.
- 0:50We believe this is Shiite genocide and it is targeted when
- 0:53we say people are praying to Allah, Spano at Allah.
- 0:56You can't detonate a bomb whilst they are worshipping Allah.
- 0:59Subhanahu wata Allah, you are an enemy of Allah.
- 1:03We ask Allah subhanahu wata Allah to elevate the ranks of
- 1:06the martyrs and to grant them a lofty station and Shah Allah
- 1:09besides the holy ehlim bait Ali hum as Salaam.
- 1:14Having said all this, it's a brand new week and that means
- 1:16we're having a brand new conversation.
- 1:19The month of Shaban, we're almost bidding farewell to it
- 1:23and in about a week or so we will be welcoming Shahar
- 1:26Ramadan. Now with Ramadan fast
- 1:28approaching, that means myself, Ahmed and the entire aftermath
- 1:32of team. We're trying to build our
- 1:34spirituality and that means we need to kick start different
- 1:38conversations where we can understand how to worship Allah,
- 1:41Subhanawata Allah better leading up to the holy month.
- 1:44Now we have an amazing guest and before I introduce the respected
- 1:47chef, I can't have these conversations alone.
- 1:50Ahmed Gokul. Salaam Alaikum.
- 2:01Salaam, What'sallah, have you? Have you said how are you?
- 2:04I know you're slightly under the weather today.
- 2:07I am slightly controlled by the voice, right?
- 2:09Yeah. So you recover soon.
- 2:13Thank you. You know these are the It's
- 2:14better to to have this now, before the holy month of.
- 2:18Course, of course, I wouldn't say I'm ill.
- 2:20It's just handled. We've had so much events,
- 2:22back-to-back voices, so the vocals need a bit of rest.
- 2:26Of course, there's no rest of the.
- 2:28Market no Al Hamdallah, it's always going and you know, I
- 2:31wanted to echo your words said and of course offer our
- 2:33condolences to the friends and the family of the mutt mini in
- 2:36the shahada who lost their lives in the say the Khadij Al Qabalah
- 2:40mosque in Islamabad. 35 martyrs and over 100 people injured.
- 2:45May Allah elevate their ranks. Grant them a lofty station and
- 2:48Inshallah to allow them to be beside the other debate Salaam
- 2:52and Shah Allah. We as a community will be able
- 2:55to raise awareness and raise our voices to this oppression.
- 2:58Bruns sisters. As Said Ali mentioned, this is
- 3:00such a critical episode because it's one thing learning about
- 3:05spirituality in Ebada and the principles of worship when we
- 3:09enter Shah al Maban, but a lot of the time that information
- 3:12comes too late. We need to know these things
- 3:15before we enter the holy month. And if anything, we should
- 3:17already be in the mode and in in the the, the kind of mentality
- 3:21of spirituality and worship from now because we're already in the
- 3:24days of worship and they're already in the days of holiness.
- 3:28So with that said, I'd like to introduce our guest, Samahat the
- 3:31Sheikh Muhammad Ali Shamali Aliqam Sheikh, how are you?
- 3:35Thank you so much for being here.
- 3:38I don't think the Sheikh needs an introduction.
- 3:41I've referenced probably 1520 times on the podcast about how
- 3:46Shomali has changed my life. I look at him as a father
- 3:51figure, as a teacher, someone who has had a transformational
- 3:55effect on me. In 2013 was when I first met the
- 3:58respected chef on a trip to Hamburg, the Imam Ali Centre in
- 4:02Germany. And I was in a low point in my
- 4:06spirituality. I had no real meaningful
- 4:09connection with our religion, our communities and even our
- 4:13olamar, if I'm honest, until I met Sheikh Somali and I think he
- 4:18entered my life at the right time.
- 4:20And Hamdullah, he's benefited thousands, hundreds of
- 4:23thousands. I I could argue and I would say
- 4:25Meneen around the world. I would just like to share one
- 4:28message Sheikh, a brother sent us today.
- 4:31He said, we told him, we said we're recording with Sheikh
- 4:34tonight. He said please tell the
- 4:36respected Sheikh he does not know me but I owe 100 hundreds
- 4:41of hours of my learning to him and I pray he sees every second
- 4:44of it on the scales of Yomal Kayama.
- 4:47He says there are others who are charging hundreds of pounds for
- 4:50different courses, but Shomali's uploading several classes online
- 4:53for free. Masha Allah.
- 4:55So we ask Allah to always give you more Tofikshire and to allow
- 4:58you to continue in the path of knowledge and teaching Insha
- 5:01Allah. And I just wanted to ask before
- 5:04we begin, firstly, how are you? I know you've had a lot
- 5:08happening in the last few years. May Allah reward you in keeping
- 5:11you preserved for us. And how are you also feeling now
- 5:15in these these days of spirituality?
- 5:17Thank you very much Bismillah Rahman and Rahim, I'm very
- 5:28delighted to be with you and although I am here in London for
- 5:37just few days, I thought I should not miss this opportunity
- 5:45of spending time with you and inshallah with our viewers.
- 5:50Alhamdulillah, I am somehow facing some limitations because
- 6:01of my son's illness. I have to be with him, but Al
- 6:05Hamdallah, wherever I am, I try to, you know, do something.
- 6:11So Al Hamdallah, the work is continuing and I have resumed
- 6:17making my necessary travels for interfaith.
- 6:21And also every now and then I come to London for a few days,
- 6:26you know. But Al Hamdallah, the work is
- 6:29continuing and we try to build relations and bridges with
- 6:39people of, you know, faith from different backgrounds and also
- 6:44to help our own community. I need your doors.
- 6:48We need yours, Sheikh. Inshallah, Thank you so much.
- 6:51We very much look forward to witnessing Inshallah, months of
- 6:55Ramadan and Leila Turkadni Shala.
- 6:57Inshallah, Inshallah bless you and we ask Allah to grant you
- 7:02far. I always remember him.
- 7:05Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
- 7:06Thank you always. Chaplin, with your permission,
- 7:09if we can begin the discussion, if not Allah, Shaka.
- 7:12Many of us, we grow up, I think from a young age, even till
- 7:15adulthood, even for many who become fathers, we see like our
- 7:19Ibadi, our relationship with the last panel of Taala is somewhat
- 7:23transactional. There's nothing transformative
- 7:26within us and for us it's like ticking check boxes, offering
- 7:30our obligatory Salah, fasting during the month of Ramadan and
- 7:33that's pretty much it. If anyone goes beyond that, it's
- 7:36probably just supposed to habad jawah praise here and there as
- 7:39we sort of I don't think we understand what I bother is what
- 7:43is worship to Allah and if I can just mention this verse Allah
- 7:48Azzawajali says indeed I did not create mankind or jinn except
- 7:52that they worshipped me. Now, when Allah says this in the
- 7:56Quran, Subhan Allah, does that mean there's something
- 7:59transactional there? Or is it something that's
- 8:02transformative and we're lacking an understanding of it?
- 8:05Yeah. Thank you very much.
- 8:08It. Begins with doing certain
- 8:11actions. So worship for us is first a
- 8:19matter of performing certain actions and this is just to make
- 8:28a habit of doing, you know, these devotional acts.
- 8:33But we should not stop with this.
- 8:37What is important is to build through these actions close
- 8:42connection with a loss upon with Allah.
- 8:45OK, so it's like you make a railway but if you are not
- 8:52moving. Then you will not get anywhere.
- 8:57So we make this railway, but we have to move forward.
- 9:02And for human beings there can be no movement except through
- 9:07Marafa. If our actions are void and, you
- 9:15know, empty without Marafa. I'm not saying they are useless,
- 9:21but they don't help us much. Would you say that the bare
- 9:24minimum? Yeah, yes.
- 9:27So the minimum is that we should have understanding of what we
- 9:35are doing and why we are doing. OK.
- 9:40So if I do something just as a habit, as a robot, it's not that
- 9:48much helpful. I'm not saying it's useless, but
- 9:50it's not much helpful. It cannot transform us.
- 9:54We need to have attention and intention and increase our
- 10:01Maratha. Even people who have attention
- 10:05and intention, depending on how much Maratha they have, they can
- 10:11benefit differently. For example, Toorak Ocelot of
- 10:14Alim and Turaqa is a lot of jail in our hadees.
- 10:18You know, you find that there's big difference.
- 10:22It can be 10s of times better if the same turaqa is done by
- 10:27Arlem. Of course, Arlem, who is not
- 10:30just someone who has information in mind, means someone who is
- 10:34enlightened with knowledge with Marafa.
- 10:38And therefore we have hadees commenting on the ayah, Martha
- 10:42Lactal General, says Ailea Arifun.
- 10:47So Ebada means to have Maratha. Of a lost Pantal and Maratha has
- 10:54no limit it goes you know, higher and higher and higher.
- 11:01Plus what is also very important and recently I am you know very
- 11:07much emphasizing on it. I have given some lectures is.
- 11:11Show. So it's very important that you
- 11:16do your abada with longing, with desire, yeah, because if you
- 11:25really know Allah Subhanutallah, you cannot be, you know, just
- 11:30feeling, you know, for example, you know, normal.
- 11:35You should. Be very excited.
- 11:37Yeah, if in my Salat I am not excited.
- 11:41If I don't feel thirsty for Salat means I have no matter.
- 11:47Of Allah subhantala. Yeah.
- 11:50Like, for example, if we are in front of a very beautiful
- 11:56scenery and someone doesn't feel anything, say maybe he's not
- 12:02able to see. Yeah, or maybe, you know, he is,
- 12:06you know, soapy, occupied with something else that he cannot,
- 12:10you know, understand what is happening.
- 12:12Or if someone doesn't enjoy very delicious food, maybe he has
- 12:17lost appetite he cannot taste. So if we have Maratha,
- 12:24definitely when we are standing before a loss of Hunter, we
- 12:27should feel very. Excited like Rasoolallah
- 12:31sallallahu alayhi wasallah and you know that, Rasoolallah said.
- 12:36With respect to salad, I am like you.
- 12:38When you are hungry and thirsty, Yeah, yeah.
- 12:42But there is a difference. When you are hungry and you eat,
- 12:47your hunger is over. When you are thirsty and you
- 12:51drink, your thirst is over. But when even I say salad is not
- 12:54over yeah because intellectual you know desires would not be
- 13:01stopped by getting what you want.
- 13:04It becomes even a stronger like you have your thirsty for
- 13:07knowledge. The more knowledge you have the
- 13:09more thirsty you become. Yes yeah.
- 13:11But if it is desire of body even if it is very strong then after
- 13:19satisfaction goes away till sometime comes back.
- 13:23But intellectual desire is not like this.
- 13:26This is why if friendship is really based on intellectual
- 13:30reasons, it becomes stronger and stronger.
- 13:34But friendship is for, you know, worldly things.
- 13:37It goes down. So Ebada should be with Maratha
- 13:44and with longing, if we managed to do even, you know.
- 13:51Toorak as a lot with this condition we can, you know,
- 13:55really rise as a lot to marathon movement.
- 14:00But if we don't have marifa, if we don't have love, if our heart
- 14:05is not into it, OK, we have, you know, fulfilled our wasp, but
- 14:10there is no spiritual benefit. Even sometimes we need to ask
- 14:14our love for forgiveness. Please forgive our Salat because
- 14:18the way, you know, we do, our Salat really is very, you know,
- 14:23impolite, very disrespectful. It's very true.
- 14:26Yeah, so. We should not underestimate acts
- 14:32of worship, but we should not be satisfied with just bringing the
- 14:37actions, the physics of the actions.
- 14:39We should put our soul into it because we are human beings.
- 14:43We are not robots, we are not machines, and human beings are
- 14:49to grow through their marathon. Through their desires, so would
- 14:54you. Say as as human beings, we
- 14:56should build on that emotional attachments.
- 14:58Is that what you're caring to? Yes, but emotions which are
- 15:02rooted in Maratha not, you know, one day I'm Moody, One day I'm
- 15:07in a good mood or bad mood. No, it's Maratha is
- 15:11intellectual. Yeah.
- 15:14Because sometimes people, for example, you know, maybe they
- 15:18had, you know, good news and they say, OK, now I enjoyed my a
- 15:22bar that or my salad. You know, it should not be like
- 15:25that. It should be coming from Marafa
- 15:29around good reasons. And even if, for example, one
- 15:33day I don't feel very much energetic, but because I have
- 15:38good reason, I don't stop, I continue.
- 15:41Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:44I know you want to say something, but something just
- 15:46struck me now I know there's a few people who are watching this
- 15:50episode and they do pray and sometimes they do find it more
- 15:54like a routine and they're just trying to take that.
- 15:57They've done the five day prayers.
- 15:58Just between them being on the Prem and the Maratha, is there
- 16:01like 1 tip that you can share with us how we can elevate that
- 16:06Maratha? If we're just on the stage of
- 16:08routine Salah, how do we just take it up 1 notch So.
- 16:14We always need to increase our marathon of Allah, Subhanutallah
- 16:18and our marathon of the secrets of prayer, because you should
- 16:23know that whom you are talking and what you are doing.
- 16:29Both of them are very much needed.
- 16:31So we should always be involved in studying a quite especially
- 16:36knowledge of Allah, Subhanutallah and Salat.
- 16:40Because Salat is a very especial design of Allah.
- 16:48Salat is designed by the best designer.
- 16:57He knows what gives us the best results.
- 17:01When it comes. To every dimension of human
- 17:05being. It's not that, for example, a
- 17:09scholar or a Mystic has said, you know, do.
- 17:12This Rabbul Al Amin said do Salat and he has given us the
- 17:18best form of Salat. Salat has always been there, but
- 17:24Alhamdulillah, we have been given the blessing of performing
- 17:28Salat with all the requirements, you know, wazoo, tahara,
- 17:32Hebullah, all these Asghar, Quran, Roku, sujood.
- 17:38It's a beautiful design of Allah, Sophala.
- 17:41There's so many things in Salah that you know, even if you study
- 17:46for years, you cannot say I understood everything about
- 17:50Salah. So.
- 17:53If we manage to increase our matter of Allah and Salah, then
- 17:57inshallah we will be more. Inclined towards performing
- 18:01Salah and this is of course a school.
- 18:06Salat is not something that you can master in one session or you
- 18:11know, one week. It's a school.
- 18:13For life. And I.
- 18:15Believe. That like, you know, blood test.
- 18:21Yeah, if. If you have good medical team,
- 18:24they can understand many, many things from your blood test.
- 18:28Yeah, many, many things. I had one recently, Yeah, Yeah.
- 18:34So I think those who have a spiritual vision by looking at
- 18:41your Salat, but not just the physics of Salat, if they have
- 18:44this, you know, mystical vision by scanning you while you are
- 18:47saying Salat, they can understand many things about
- 18:50you. They can.
- 18:52Look at your Salat and say where you are in your journey.
- 18:55Beautiful. Because.
- 18:59This is. Khairol Amal.
- 19:03Khairol Amal. It has many, many different
- 19:06meanings. One is that.
- 19:10Salat is the best action which is designed by Allah. 1 is also
- 19:16that Salat is your best action. So in your best performance, we
- 19:23can judge you. You cannot say I was.
- 19:25Not ready I was a sleepy I will so this is the best performance
- 19:30you have. So you are showing yourself in
- 19:33your Salat. If your Salat is good, then we
- 19:38can have hope in the rest of your life and ovilat ovila ma
- 19:44sewaha. But when wrote that wrote the ma
- 19:47sewaha. If Salat is accepted, everything
- 19:50is will be accepted. If it is rejected, God forbid
- 19:53everything else. Because if the best action is
- 19:56rejected, then what about the other actions?
- 19:59So Salat is very, very amazing. Chef.
- 20:03I wanted to ask about a trend I think we see a lot of now,
- 20:09especially nowadays. The world we live in is designed
- 20:12to be rigorous and kind of performative with a routine.
- 20:17So for example, when it comes to your nine to five job, it comes
- 20:21to your, you know, your education, everything is a
- 20:24plethora of day-to-day actions, which you then mesh your weeks
- 20:29into your months into your years into.
- 20:31I saw something yesterday and it was a scientific study and it's
- 20:36said that those who have the same day-to-day routines feel
- 20:40like life has moved faster. So when they're older, they say
- 20:44life has gone so quick compared to children.
- 20:47Every day they have a different day.
- 20:48They feel I'm taking forever to grow up.
- 20:50My kids are always telling me, Baba, when will I be a grown up?
- 20:54Because every day feels like a long day for them compared to
- 20:56for us. You know, we have the same
- 20:57process when we zoom out and we understand this process.
- 21:02In Islamic tradition, we see process and routine as a means
- 21:07to of course, attain spirituality and of course,
- 21:11likewise in the workplace and so on and so forth.
- 21:14But we now talk now sometimes see that those who are Muslim,
- 21:19you know, even within the Islamic tradition, look for
- 21:22things outside of the routine, abada to gain spiritual
- 21:25transformation. You know, some sort of vicar or
- 21:28Irfan which allows them to reach a spiritual high.
- 21:31Or even outside of the Islamic tradition, you look at the
- 21:34Western secular society, people invest time, money, energy into
- 21:38yoga and meditation and consciousness and mindfulness
- 21:42and all of these concepts which are so commercialized now on
- 21:46podcasts and audio books and YouTube, people are doing
- 21:50anything possible to gain that transformation.
- 21:53My question is, if a bada is meant to be that vehicle for us
- 21:58to gain this transformation, why does this trend still exist?
- 22:03Is it because we are not? Is it because like you said,
- 22:06we're not taking real grasp of the weight of the abadada, the
- 22:10routine? Or is it maybe that that we
- 22:13should be doing the routine and something else must have?
- 22:15Or what is it that kind of allows us to reach the next
- 22:18stage? First of all.
- 22:22It. Seems very clear that people of
- 22:26our age feel the great need for a spirituality.
- 22:32Yeah. Because now they realise that I.
- 22:35Don't know. Money.
- 22:37Or you know. Technology is not satisfying
- 22:40them and actually. The people who are more
- 22:43prosperous. They look.
- 22:46For more spirituality, for meaning, for life.
- 22:50And you see, there are many people who suffer, you know,
- 22:53mental problems, psychological problems, because they don't
- 22:57find reason for their life, they don't find meaning in their
- 23:00life. So they try to find kind of
- 23:04spirituality that can satisfy them sometimes.
- 23:10They go by. You know.
- 23:13What is available or by what is fashionable or by something
- 23:19which has no, you know, requirement, you know, because
- 23:24people don't want, you know, many times, you know.
- 23:27If I'm people. Of this age, they don't want
- 23:29commitment. They want to.
- 23:31Enjoy without commitment. Even when it.
- 23:34Comes to marriage some people don't want to commit yeah so
- 23:38they just want to have their options always open and this is
- 23:42a problem so they go for a Spiritualities which lack
- 23:45Sharia, which lack commitment but.
- 23:51Al Hamdallah, in divine religions, and in particular we
- 23:55are talking about Islam, we have very.
- 24:04Comprehensive package for life that can, you know, meet all our
- 24:11needs. I am not against, for example,
- 24:15people taking courses on meditation or etcetera, as long
- 24:19as they are. Not in conflict with our Akita
- 24:22because sometimes these kinds. Of practices are rooted in.
- 24:27Non. Islamic philosophies or even,
- 24:30you know, theologies. But if they are not.
- 24:34In conflict, if they are just neutral it's OK, but sometimes
- 24:38they are in conflict. What I'm saying we don't need if
- 24:42we do our. About that.
- 24:45Our as car properly, we have everything just we need to do
- 24:53them with Maratha and with attention and with, you know,
- 25:01carefulness. If you.
- 25:04Really managed to make you know your about art.
- 25:10In the way. That Al Beit Alay Musala were
- 25:13doing not like them in the level, but I mean following
- 25:17their models, you would see that you know, you don't like
- 25:21anything to you know. Borrow from others.
- 25:24Yeah, yeah. For every day we have Doha, For
- 25:30every even hour we have Doha, we have as a car.
- 25:33We have, you know, different kinds of prayers.
- 25:35Plus, we can turn our entire life into Abada.
- 25:41Yeah. We can now.
- 25:44Be talking to each other. Just.
- 25:47As a normal conversation or this can be our abada.
- 25:52We can, you know, watch to this watch this program, for example,
- 25:56as ABADA. Yeah, we can even eat with our
- 26:01family or friends or community in community and.
- 26:05Our eating. Can be a bother, yeah.
- 26:07So when you have ability to turn all your life into a bother,
- 26:13what do you like? Yeah.
- 26:15Yeah. Just we need to spend time on
- 26:19learning these things because the problem is that we think
- 26:23Salat is what we have learnt, for example in madrasa or at
- 26:27home and that's enough and we don't see anything coming from
- 26:30it. But we should know that it's a
- 26:32school. And there are, you know, many.
- 26:37Different levels and you need to learn, you need teachers, you
- 26:40need to be trained. But if we, Allah gives us
- 26:46ability to, you know, even say to like a prayer.
- 26:51You know. With presence of heart and feel
- 26:53that you are really talking to Allah.
- 26:55Subhanallah, you would never want that Salat you know to stop
- 26:59to finish. And.
- 27:02So. We need.
- 27:04To work on our performance, not necessarily by increasing the.
- 27:13Quantity, although it's helpful to have in an avoir field
- 27:17etcetera, but. By more investment on the
- 27:20quality. Quality is very.
- 27:23Important. If quality is good, then
- 27:25increase of quantity helps, but if there's no quality and you
- 27:29know, you have you know. You know, master, you know, I
- 27:34mean mass production. It's not going to help that much
- 27:36if I can just. Ask have you said if you don't
- 27:39mind? You know, there's Chef, there's
- 27:41people who I know who have either lost touch completely or
- 27:47numb. They've stopped praying for
- 27:49Salah entirely and they don't feel guilty anymore.
- 27:53And they're not mean or Muslim mean.
- 27:54And they, you know, they, they're yearning, they want to
- 27:57or they struggle. And there are also those who
- 27:59pray regularly and who unfortunately, perhaps off the
- 28:04prayer mat, they don't do good things.
- 28:06Maybe they're doing Reba or maybe they're cheating someone
- 28:09on, doing some hypocrisy. When we see in our hadith, Imam
- 28:13Salih Khalifa Salam was asked about how to understand the
- 28:16worth, the value of someone's fasting, and he referenced the
- 28:20verse which he referenced earlier about keeping you away
- 28:23from Fahashahu al Munkar. And with this context, does this
- 28:28mean that the moral force of the Salah is only as effective as
- 28:33the one who performs that Abada wants it to be?
- 28:37Because for example, if I know that Salah rigorously cleanses
- 28:41me from immorality and and evilness, then why did the why
- 28:45then is am I not seeing a transformational effect?
- 28:48The same with Psalm and fasting. If I'm fasting every day, every
- 28:52month, every year for example, why am I not then seeing a
- 28:56change? Is it something?
- 28:58Do I need to make that near that intention before I begin?
- 29:01Is it something that I do after? Is it the to double?
- 29:04After I finished my Salah, I think about what did I do.
- 29:07You see what I mean? At what stage do I see then in
- 29:10moral change in an from a Khlaqe perspective in my day-to-day?
- 29:18First of all, you know, I request from everyone, even
- 29:25those who don't feel, you know, attachment to Salat, you know,
- 29:29please don't stop Salat. Even if you don't have any
- 29:32feeling any desire, because this is at least a threat.
- 29:40Of, you know, connection with religion.
- 29:44With Allah subhan Allah because mantaraka salata muta ahmedan
- 29:47fakat kafara. If someone intentionally you
- 29:51know doesn't say Salah, sometimes you miss prayer
- 29:53because you fall. Asleep.
- 29:55Or etcetera, but if the ability. Doesn't say Salat.
- 29:58It's like cough, OK, it's a practical cough, so.
- 30:02No one should in any circumstances as a Salatullah to
- 30:06track behalf in any circumstances should not stop
- 30:09Salat. So my request is that even if
- 30:13you don't feel. Anything.
- 30:13If you are, you're not busy. Please don't.
- 30:16Stop Salat, because stopping Salat, it's like a declaring war
- 30:24against, you know, your master, against your Lord.
- 30:27But then we can always work on our performance.
- 30:32First of all, this is not a good.
- 30:34Logic that for example I say I don't say salad because there
- 30:37are people who say salad and are not good.
- 30:42OK. You say salad and try to be
- 30:44good. Yeah.
- 30:46If people. You.
- 30:46Know, for example, if there are doctors who learn medicine and
- 30:51they are not kind, then you say we don't need medicine.
- 30:54OK, you go and learn. Medicine and be a kind.
- 30:56Doctor, we have kind doctors also.
- 30:58You don't see them. And why you?
- 31:01Don't try to be very kind and give everyone has a good lesson.
- 31:05Yeah. Maybe you say there's a lot
- 31:07didn't help them. Of course.
- 31:10If. Salad is performed without
- 31:12understanding, without marifa, without devotion is not going to
- 31:15help. It's not.
- 31:16The problem of salad is like anything else.
- 31:19Yeah, yeah. If you have family without love,
- 31:23then it can become like a prison.
- 31:25Everyone feels, you know, I am prisoner in this family because
- 31:27there's no love. Is it problem with family?
- 31:30No, it's problem that family has become void of.
- 31:34Love. Yeah.
- 31:37So if something is. Not.
- 31:41Helping we should see, is the problem in the thing itself or
- 31:45in the way we do it? If we do.
- 31:48Salah properly Allah who has designed it says.
- 31:53Yeah, so he said. This is what?
- 31:59I have designed. If you use it properly, you must
- 32:05get to this result. If you don't get to.
- 32:08Admit you are not using it properly.
- 32:10Yeah. For example, you know, I buy a
- 32:12heater says you know for this size of the room it can make it
- 32:16warm. I buy it and.
- 32:20See, it's cold, so I realized that.
- 32:23I am not. Using it properly, I have to
- 32:25read the manuals, you know. Because a.
- 32:28Lost Factory doesn't have, you know, faulty productions, so.
- 32:32If he says. This is and for me this has not
- 32:36worked. Is not problem in production,
- 32:39problem is in my performance. I'm not aware of how to do it,
- 32:43how to use it. Read the manuals.
- 32:46Yeah, so they say salad should be with presence of hearts.
- 32:51So Al Hamdullah. We see.
- 32:54In the course. Of history and I think everyone
- 32:56in their life, they must have seen.
- 32:59Manin. Who have good ahlah you know
- 33:02they're very kind, very you know helpful look after everyone and
- 33:07they are saying Salat this is the root and if there are people
- 33:12who. Say Salat.
- 33:13They are the people who have not experienced.
- 33:15The spirit of Salat Quran itself says Fawailan Lil Mussali.
- 33:24The Quran is aware. That.
- 33:26There are. Musalin that need warning.
- 33:31Why? Because.
- 33:33They are heedless about their Salat.
- 33:37They are. Heedless about their duties
- 33:39towards Allah and towards each other.
- 33:42So we know. That Salat is not enough as an
- 33:45action, but if it is done as a devotional.
- 33:53Act with marathon, with understanding, with love, with
- 33:56commitment can change our life. So it's a.
- 34:02Way of approaching to Salat and performing Salat that can
- 34:07determine. From.
- 34:09Something that can be even harmful.
- 34:13Even sometimes. Salat can be harmful.
- 34:16If someone is. For example, saying Salat to
- 34:18show off. Yeah, yeah.
- 34:20It's harmful. Or, you know, to.
- 34:23Develop urge and self admiration.
- 34:26It's very harmful. So it's harmful.
- 34:29It can be useless. And it can be.
- 34:32Very, very beneficial. Depends on the way you do it.
- 34:40This is, I think, very logical and I hope everyone tries hard
- 34:48to. Inshallah.
- 34:50Experience the beauty of Salat and one of the things that can
- 34:54help is to witness, you know, Salat of some of you know, very
- 35:00pious scholars or Olama or sometime, you know, maybe people
- 35:06in, you know, community. Because to.
- 35:08Witness these powerful Salats, you know can also give us,
- 35:12inshallah, some inspiration. Yes, exactly.
- 35:15I'm sure Allah this. Is very beautiful.
- 35:17I love the perspective. You're speaking about Salah and
- 35:20I think right now the whole convo is very focused on Salah.
- 35:23And it's so important because we do say Salah is from our pillars
- 35:26of faith, Amu Dazeem. And it reminds me of a report I
- 35:31once read. A man came to Imam Jaffar Assad
- 35:34Alayhi Salaam, and he told him, I'm paraphrasing.
- 35:37I'm a good guy, you know, I, I don't pray, but I'm kind.
- 35:42I've got good luck. I look after the poor and things
- 35:46like this. And then he told them, but I
- 35:48don't pray, is it OK? And then the Imam would reply to
- 35:51him and tell him of sort of Adam.
- 35:55The Salah is the barometer between belief and this belief,
- 36:00Iman and Kaphor, which is something I think we take
- 36:03lightly. For those who don't take their
- 36:05praise seriously. It's especially like a Shia.
- 36:09I would always say this and I've always said even for those who
- 36:13do pray and sometimes they see themselves, for example, when we
- 36:16come back to the verse and the Salah al fashi and Monkar, they
- 36:20they still do wrong. I always go back to Karbala and
- 36:23when we see Mohammed Hussein Ali is Salaam, when he established
- 36:27Salah, the camp of Omar bin Saad, they also established
- 36:31Salah. So they were both praying, but
- 36:33one was on Haqq and one was on falsehood.
- 36:36Now, the reason I mentioned this is that if we also come back to
- 36:40this verse again, that Salah prevents you from doing wrong,
- 36:43it should prevent you from doing wrong.
- 36:46How do we are Shia and sure we are always on the path of Haqq
- 36:50when it comes to differentiating between falsehoods because we
- 36:53can pray and we can see we can live our daily life, oppress
- 36:58people unknowingly maybe, or for example, take away from people's
- 37:03rights unknowingly or we're praying every day.
- 37:06So how do we ensure that our Salah keeps us away from certain
- 37:09things? So if.
- 37:15Salat is performed with Understanding with
- 37:18Consciousness. First of all, it stops us doing
- 37:22scenes. Anything ugly but?
- 37:28Also, it builds in US humility. And someone who?
- 37:34Is humble, would never dare doing zoom or injustice to
- 37:41others. Yeah.
- 37:44Someone who is humble feels that I cannot even answer to Allah
- 37:49about the blessings that I have been given.
- 37:52Yeah, how? Can I answer?
- 37:54To Allah and, you know, be grateful enough for the blessing
- 37:57that Allah has given me. Yeah, yeah.
- 37:59I cannot, you know, really have answer.
- 38:04Let alone then. I want to take from others, you
- 38:06know. With solemn.
- 38:10And injustice. Never a humble person does Zulu.
- 38:14Yeah. Never a humble person even
- 38:17raises his voice over others you know to, you know, hurt them.
- 38:23So. Allah Subhanut Allah says that
- 38:27those who are servants of Allah yamsuna Allah out of the hauna,
- 38:33the way even they work is with humanity.
- 38:38Yeah. They don't want to annoy anyone,
- 38:41they don't want even, you know, to pressurize too much the
- 38:43carpet or to ruin, for example, the grass.
- 38:50So Salat makes you a person that would never, you know, wish any
- 38:55bad for others, even for, you know, environment, etcetera.
- 39:00And it's. A big transformation.
- 39:07It's impossible that someone is a servant of Allah and then do
- 39:13back to others. The problem is.
- 39:16That people don't do Salah properly and then they can even
- 39:22get opposite results. So instead of becoming.
- 39:26More humble, they become more arrogant.
- 39:29Look at Kawarej. They were saying so much.
- 39:31Salah, they were, you know, even marks on their forehead.
- 39:36Yeah, but they did. Very.
- 39:41Terrible crimes even in a killing.
- 39:43For example, pregnant. You know, ladies.
- 39:47Yeah. Why their Salah didn't help
- 39:50them? Because.
- 39:52They brought the physics of Salah, but they never understood
- 39:57that Salat is to learn how to be servant of Allah.
- 40:03So there's a journey from worship to servitude, from Ebada
- 40:07to Orbudiya. If.
- 40:10After years of worship, I don't become Abd.
- 40:14There's a problem. That's a problem because this is
- 40:17the way to make sure that you have benefited from Ebada.
- 40:21You become Abd Ebada is limited to certain times.
- 40:29Yeah. How many minutes per day?
- 40:32We spend on about maybe 20 minutes, Half an hour, one hour
- 40:35maximum. But Obudiya is not part time.
- 40:40It's a lifetime. So from few minutes of salad,
- 40:45from fasting, from other acts of worship, we need to develop
- 40:50permanent servitude. And.
- 40:55This is only through understanding what we are doing,
- 40:58like fasting. This is very.
- 41:01Similar to but there are people who fast but they are.
- 41:15Not. Yeah.
- 41:18Save us from that because they just, they're, you know, benefit
- 41:24from fasting is just thirst and hunger.
- 41:26They don't benefit anything more.
- 41:29Even. Sometimes, God forbid, you know,
- 41:32we fast and even we become very rude or you know, you know, we
- 41:37have, you know, bad temper, angry.
- 41:39You know people you know. Say, you know, don't approach
- 41:42this person now because he's fasting.
- 41:45This is very bad. Wait too often after he had his
- 41:49samosas and relaxed when. We are fasting.
- 41:53We have to be more kind, more humble.
- 41:56And if you really practice it, you can do this.
- 42:00But if you allow yourself, because you are fasting, you
- 42:03know, to speak as you like to your children or you know people
- 42:06who are under you, this is a problem.
- 42:09So it means that we are not approaching these acts of
- 42:14worship properly. This kind of analogy, he says.
- 42:21There were some farmers. That.
- 42:25Used to harvest. There was a season of harvesting
- 42:30and put it in the barn. OK.
- 42:35So that there is no rain or anything.
- 42:37So every day they. Were working hard till sunsets
- 42:41and putting things in the barn. The next day they were opening
- 42:46the barn. It was empty.
- 42:49And they were surprised. Because the door was not opened,
- 42:52the, you know, locks were not, you know, broken.
- 42:57So one night they decided that one of them sleeps in the barn.
- 43:04And he? Realized that in the middle of
- 43:06the night lots of rats come from, you know, underneath and
- 43:13they take all these, you know, weeds, etcetera.
- 43:18And then he. Says this is our example.
- 43:23We make lots. Of Ebada, lots of Salat and
- 43:26fasting like, you know, putting these weeds in the barn.
- 43:31But we have holes in our hearts that doesn't let the light of
- 43:36this Ebada remain. Our bad.
- 43:39Clock, bad temper or moral, you know, deficiencies don't let us
- 43:46to accumulate the light of Ebada.
- 43:49Otherwise, you know, years of Salat.
- 43:52Yeah. Must make each person, you know,
- 43:55full of light to change us. Yeah, yeah.
- 43:58Transformers. You do Salat.
- 44:01You do Haz, you do Ziara, you do umbra.
- 44:03So where is the light if we do it properly?
- 44:08Every moment. Should be full of light, but
- 44:11unfortunately we gain and we lose.
- 44:14We gain and we lose, or we don't gain at all.
- 44:17But even if we. Gain.
- 44:18We'll lose. There's a beautiful.
- 44:20Hadees that when someone goes to Hajj has a light because every
- 44:28about has its own light. Light of Salat is different from
- 44:30light of Hajj. Light of Hajj is different from
- 44:32light of fasting, so all the lights are different.
- 44:36So when someone goes for a haz has light.
- 44:40When? People come back from Haj, the
- 44:43hadith says. Go and visit them.
- 44:46Before. They commit a sin and the light
- 44:49goes away as soon as possible. Yeah, but once I was joking Haz
- 44:55during Haz, I said didn't. But nowadays people even before
- 44:57reaching home, they may lose them.
- 45:02So salad has a light. Even Wazoo has a light.
- 45:13There's a story that one of the, you know, the students of one of
- 45:18the Orafa if I am not. Mistaken, I think was a student
- 45:21of Ayatollah and Sati Hamadani, so once had the mystical
- 45:27experience and so light, not a physical light, a special light
- 45:32and was so amazing. That he asked.
- 45:36Him I had this experience. Was this the light of Allah?
- 45:42I said no, this was light of your wazoo.
- 45:47Light of. Allah is different.
- 45:50But for. Someone who is used to worthy
- 45:53light. This light was so amazing.
- 45:57That is also light of Allah. What light of Allah we cannot,
- 45:59you know, cope with. Like can you look at the song?
- 46:02You cannot look. So al wuzu all neuron.
- 46:07Al wuzu. Al Wuzu.
- 46:09Neuron. Even Wuzu.
- 46:13Is known imagines a lot. They say that the.
- 46:16Snoor also lights up our graves, yeah.
- 46:19Sure, sure. For me, kind of a final
- 46:23question. See, we talked about, and I just
- 46:28want to understand this kind of like from a more philosophical
- 46:33perspective because we talk about, as you mentioned, you
- 46:38don't speak to the guy while he's fasting, he's grumpy.
- 46:40And so there's an element, you know, when we speak to our
- 46:43colleagues in the office and so on, and we say things like.
- 46:48When we were. Young, we used to say things
- 46:50like there's so many people in the world who don't have food,
- 46:53so we want to see how they feel. Empathy, you know, when we're
- 46:55young, then you become a bit older, you start saying no, no,
- 46:58no. It's about habits, you know, to
- 47:01train ourselves, self-control and discipline and restraint of
- 47:05desire. But in the Quran, alaspinata,
- 47:07Allah talks about dakwa as the goal.
- 47:10What I want to understand is how do we channel that desire?
- 47:14And also what's the role of pedagogy and Allahs like divine
- 47:18justice or his, maybe his he's putting us through an endurance
- 47:23test, challenging us, kind of like cleansing us through
- 47:28difficulty and hardship of the starvation of the body, but in a
- 47:32way to then teach us, you know, and that pedagogical element,
- 47:37what role does it play in Shaharamavan and how do we weigh
- 47:40up how to prioritize things? Is it my priority in
- 47:44Shaharamavan is to suppress, you know, unlawful desire or is it
- 47:51to develop levels of discipline in my Eibada?
- 47:55Or for example, is it something else to develop Maratha and
- 47:58Taqwa? Yeah, it's all that.
- 48:02So it's true. That part of the benefit of
- 48:07fasting is to develop, you know, empathy for people who are poor.
- 48:14Definitely this is part of it. Or for example to reduce
- 48:21consumption. Even for.
- 48:25Health is good SU mutasahu or for example we have in a sermon
- 48:31of Shabbani of the prophet Ozkuru baju arkhamva attashekom
- 48:37jiwaiyo Mariyama attasha. Whenever you become.
- 48:41Hungry and thirsty. Remember the thirst and hunger
- 48:44on the Day of judgement. So.
- 48:48Fasting makes you mindful. Of.
- 48:52The day of judgement. OK.
- 48:55And the only way to feel good at that time is you work hard.
- 48:59Now. Also, one important aspect is
- 49:06that through fasting you gain. Control.
- 49:10Over your desires and temptations and develop
- 49:13determination asm. Because.
- 49:17Our main problem is not that we don't want to become good.
- 49:23Everyone wants to be good, yeah, But to be able to resist against
- 49:29desires and temptations and laziness, that's the issue.
- 49:33We need ASM. Yeah, I always say this, that
- 49:38among all human beings, yeah, we have 124,000 prophets.
- 49:47Among. All the prophets.
- 49:48We have 313 Rasul messengers. Among 313 Rasul, we have 5 most
- 49:56outstanding messengers. What are they called?
- 50:01All your eyes, not all realm. Not.
- 50:05Even olu taqwa olu AZM, because AZM is the key.
- 50:15Without. Determination.
- 50:17You cannot reach very high level of perfection, Imam Zainul
- 50:23Abedin Alayhi Salam says. I live.
- 50:27To Anna Abdulazar, the Raahi alike, I know that the best
- 50:38provision. For a way.
- 50:40Favour towards you is to have determination by which he
- 50:45chooses you over anything else. Nothing like.
- 50:49Fasting can give us determination because Salah
- 50:54doesn't need that much determination.
- 50:55Yeah, it takes few minutes. Nothing I think is like fasting
- 51:02because fasting, you know, from early hour especially sometimes
- 51:07becomes like in London for example, you know, 18 hours.
- 51:11And you know. Sometimes very hot.
- 51:15And it's not just. One day it's one month.
- 51:18So it's really exercises your willpower and makes it stronger.
- 51:23After months of Ramadan, you'll feel I can do everything.
- 51:26Yeah, yeah, yeah. People you know I'm very, you
- 51:30know you, you don't. Want to have breakfast?
- 51:32Yeah, I really. You know, like, you know,
- 51:35helpless, you know, but months of Ramadan, you know, I have
- 51:39seen that, you know, sometimes non-Muslims who fast and how
- 51:45much they enjoy, they love it. They very much.
- 51:48Love. It yeah, because it it gives
- 51:51you, you know, strength. It gives you power.
- 51:54You believe yourself again? Yeah, it's sorry.
- 51:56To interrupt you, it shows them, it shows them what they can do.
- 52:01I have a colleague in in in our office every year he says,
- 52:05Ahmed, I'm going to fast with you today.
- 52:07Excellent. Once 234 days of Shahraman,
- 52:10he'll fast. I said why?
- 52:11He says to prove to myself I don't need to vape or I don't
- 52:15need to smoke or I don't need to This beautiful Yeah
- 52:18self-control. He says I want to tell prove to
- 52:21myself I can. If I want to, I can.
- 52:23Yeah, that's. Beautiful.
- 52:25And. You know, I always think that,
- 52:30especially in this age. We very.
- 52:35Much need to safeguard our determination because everything
- 52:41is unfortunately to make you more dependent.
- 52:47And. Lazy.
- 52:50Yeah, you don't, you know. Need to even walk.
- 52:54You don't need even, you know, to do anything.
- 52:57Everything is with machine technology.
- 53:00Technology. Yeah.
- 53:04Everything you buy, you know. Ready.
- 53:09And. My idea is that the real battle
- 53:17of humanity is the battle of determination.
- 53:22Whoever has. Determination will win is no
- 53:25longer money or weapon. Even it's not.
- 53:28Technology because if you are determined you get that
- 53:30everything. Who would have?
- 53:33Determination. So.
- 53:37Salat. Helps with.
- 53:40Determination because something throughout the year, you know,
- 53:43five times a day, early morning. But also.
- 53:46Fasting and these two together. Yeah, you know Estai.
- 53:52You know, sabra was Salat some, Hadi says.
- 53:55Sabra means fasting. OK.
- 53:59At least. Is a great example.
- 54:03So with Salat, with fasting, you can gain power.
- 54:08And. We have now golden opportunity,
- 54:11Inshallah, if Allah gives us trophy to witness another months
- 54:14of Ramadan to work on our Salat because very spiritual
- 54:20environment, atmosphere and our fasting.
- 54:26And just one suggestion for myself and our viewers.
- 54:32And this is what you know, the late Alam and Narati says in
- 54:38John O Sadat about fasting. He says if you want to benefit
- 54:43from fasting. Make.
- 54:46Sure, that. You reduce.
- 54:50Your eating. So you are supposed.
- 54:54To have at least one less meal, Yeah.
- 54:59Not that in the night you not only, you know, compensate for
- 55:04lunch, but even, you know, 2-3 time.
- 55:07It says if you want to benefit from a spirituality of fasting,
- 55:11you must eat less than other months.
- 55:13Yeah. Because it's the whole.
- 55:15Point, yeah. It's true, yeah.
- 55:18You. Have your sahur and iftar.
- 55:21But like breakfast and dinner in other months, yeah.
- 55:27But. If you want, you know, to
- 55:29compensate for the all the snacks that you missed, all the
- 55:32lunch and all the drinks and coffee in the night and even
- 55:36it's more, you know, some people maybe even, you know, put on
- 55:39weight in the months of Ramadan, you won't be.
- 55:41Able to wash up Allah from so we are missing.
- 55:45The point this is this what this great Alam says in JAMA O
- 55:49Saadat, it says if you want to benefit and if you want to get,
- 55:54you know, spirituality of fasting.
- 55:57You must. Not eat like other months.
- 56:02You must not, you know, eat more in the night.
- 56:05It's very important. Beautiful, beautiful advice.
- 56:09You've been a very amazing. Chef, I know we're at the end of
- 56:12the episode. I have a small question from me,
- 56:17Sha Allah. As a final question from myself,
- 56:20it's nice. We're speaking about Salah
- 56:22spirituality. There are people who in sha
- 56:25Allah will. Build on them.
- 56:28During this holy month, and the Charlotte doesn't stop after, it
- 56:31continues throughout the year until we go 6 feet down the
- 56:34grave beyond Allah. But there are people, Schechner,
- 56:38who would love to reach that stage, but they're far away from
- 56:42God. And they feel like, for example,
- 56:45sometimes we get questions that come in.
- 56:47We feel like God's not on our side.
- 56:49We've seen so much. And I don't think Allah Azzawa
- 56:52Jail is going to forgive me. But how do we address those
- 56:55people? For someone who's listening now
- 56:57that he feels like God's not going to welcome him with his
- 57:00Rahman, how can we change their perspective on how they see
- 57:03this? Yeah.
- 57:05You know, one thing that we are 100% sure is that Allah Subhanaw
- 57:13Taal is always welcoming. It's impossible that he would
- 57:22reject someone who wants to go back to him.
- 57:26Allah sopantar says Olia ebadi al ladina astrafu Allah and even
- 57:34those who have done excessive bat to themselves, they should
- 57:37not be dispersed in Allah truly. And nice for Takif.
- 57:46For emphasis Allah forgives as Zulu.
- 57:50In Arabic we say jam with alif. Alam shows generality plus it
- 57:56says Jamiyan. So he.
- 57:59Forgives all the sins. So if I have wronged someone,
- 58:05OK, then maybe they ask me, OK, what have you done so that I
- 58:10know you know what to forgive, you know, etcetera.
- 58:13Or maybe I can only forgive this much, not this much.
- 58:17Or I. Forgive you but you have to do
- 58:19something you know. But Allah says he forgives
- 58:24everything. He would not even stop you and
- 58:29say you know it takes time. Even our ulama say that.
- 58:34For example, imagine if I have not fulfilled some of my watch
- 58:41about. OK, for.
- 58:42Example, I owe homes I have not given for years.
- 58:46Yeah, or I owe people. Now.
- 58:51Someone has stolen or I don't know has not given rights of
- 58:55people for any reason but if they do too bad Allah forgives
- 59:00them right away but says go and sort it out.
- 59:03Not that he. Says OK, sort it out and then I
- 59:06will forgive you. Go and say your Salat Kazan, I
- 59:10will forgive you. He forgives right away, but now
- 59:15you do your. Now you do it.
- 59:17And if someone asks for forgiveness and dies before he
- 59:20has time to do this, he's forgiven.
- 59:24Of course with. You know, from his inheritance
- 59:27or etcetera, but he's forgiven if he has no time to fix it or
- 59:33no means to fix it. So it's very important that.
- 59:39We go as. Soon as possible back to a loss
- 59:42of Hunter. Do not let Shaytan players
- 59:44because Ayatollah Bahari Hamadani, he says Shaytan has a,
- 59:52you know, very strange policies, a double policy before
- 59:56committing sins says to people, don't worry, commit sins, allies
- 1:00:02forgive you. Yeah, he's very.
- 1:00:05Generous. He's very forgiving.
- 1:00:07When you commit sins, then you want to go to Toba says it's too
- 1:00:11late, just come with more sins because he's not going to
- 1:00:15forgive. So it's the, you know,
- 1:00:18parliament. We should do the opposite.
- 1:00:20Before committing scene, you must say who is sure that he can
- 1:00:24do it over. Yeah, I shouldn't say, you know,
- 1:00:29allies forgiving. So let me do the scene.
- 1:00:31I might die. Yeah.
- 1:00:32Yeah. Because this can lead to, you
- 1:00:34know, position that will not be forgiven if you insist and you
- 1:00:37are. But if you commit scene and you
- 1:00:40regret. Yeah, don't be desperate.
- 1:00:43And. Especially whatever is Allah,
- 1:00:49Allah is more easily, you know, forgiving.
- 1:00:53So everyone should have hope. Especially in the month of
- 1:00:57Shaban is very good time for Toba because this is the monster
- 1:01:04Hafafte Huber Rahmatiwa. Rezwan is surrounded with mercy
- 1:01:09and with pleasure. So it's very easy to please
- 1:01:11Allah all the time because he's Sari or Reza.
- 1:01:15But especially in certain times like Shaban, because this is
- 1:01:19months of forgiveness, this months of a strakfar.
- 1:01:22And we should. Inshallah, make sure that we are
- 1:01:24forgiven Shaban and then we enter months of Ramadan while we
- 1:01:30are forgiven. Inshallah Bismillah.
- 1:01:34Thank you so much. My pleasure.
- 1:01:39I don't want it to. Stop.
- 1:01:41I don't want you to go shit. It's.
- 1:01:43Alhamdulillah, you know, we've done over 150 episodes and I
- 1:01:49think we've had some incredible conversations.
- 1:01:51But as always, Sheikh, you what, what?
- 1:01:54As you said before we started the podcast from the heart to
- 1:01:56the heart, I feel like you've you've spoken to our hearts
- 1:02:00today. I don't know if that was
- 1:02:01recorded, but the Sheikh said that just before we began and
- 1:02:06beyond that and shot Allah, we can take the lessons and the
- 1:02:10wisdom you've imparted to us and be able to apply for all of us
- 1:02:13work on our huddle and work on our presence and our
- 1:02:17consciousness, our tough one and and giving more attention to
- 1:02:21Alvada and shot Allah, said Ali. I just.
- 1:02:25Want to thank you, my pleasure, all the gems that you shared
- 1:02:28with us on this episode in this hour.
- 1:02:30And I just want to add something, you know, over the
- 1:02:31last almost four years now, we've really been waiting for a
- 1:02:36day to have you on the aftermath of podcast.
- 1:02:37Ahmed No, as you mentioned, every other month, we need to
- 1:02:40have Sheikh Shamali. We need to have Sheikh Hamala,
- 1:02:43the stars. Finally, the airline can stop
- 1:02:45you from Allah. Hamdallah, Sharla.
- 1:02:46It's not the last. Time.
- 1:02:47But sisters, if I can ask everyone at home just to
- 1:02:50remember, as Said Ali mentioned, the respected Sheikh's family
- 1:02:54and also the respected Sheikh's mother who is currently
- 1:02:58undergoing intensive treatment in Iran.
- 1:03:01And we pray for her Shafa. And we pray for her a long life,
- 1:03:05Inshallah. And she has raised mashallah
- 1:03:08generations of servants to the adul Beit aim of Salaam.
- 1:03:13Yeah, Allah, we pray for shafa and Sheikh, we pray to see you
- 1:03:16again, inshallah. Please don't forget us in your
- 1:03:18daughters, inshallah. And.
- 1:03:20Yeah. Thank you so much.
- 1:03:22Again, thank you. Thank.
- 1:03:23You very much and also I request all our viewers to pray

- 1:03:41That's not, you know, unlikely of.
- 1:03:45Sheikh, where can. People, I know you've recently
- 1:03:47released a small publication on Imam al Mahdi, and I know you're
- 1:03:51working on other things as well, especially dedicated to the only
- 1:03:55Imam. Where can people find more of
- 1:03:57your work and engage, especially for those who are new, new
- 1:04:01reverts and those who are developing their journey into

- 1:04:15YouTube. Yeah, and also on my site, many
- 1:04:18of the books are just available free.
- 1:04:20They can read free, you know, whatever suits them better.
