- 0:07Speaker 2: back to Untraditionally Laala. The Bonus episode Easton, Please tell
- 0:11Speaker 2: us what you just told us.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Guys, people have reached out to me for my La
- 0:16Speaker 3: Boo boo that was stolen, and people are being so
- 0:18Speaker 3: nice and they're like, we have unopened boxes and we
- 0:21Speaker 3: would love to send you on. So I'm taking a
- 0:24Speaker 3: couple of people up and then all unbox the La
- 0:26Speaker 3: Boo boos here you should we should do it boxing
- 0:29Speaker 3: of the little Boo.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Boo a little booboo unboxing. So that's what we'll do.
- 0:34Speaker 1: But I feel great.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I feel like the craze of La Boo boos is over.
- 0:37Speaker 1: No, it's over, but I still love them.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I love is that you actually are passionate about you know,
- 0:43Speaker 2: like you don't care it was not a trend for you.
- 0:45Speaker 1: No, it's just like lifestyle really is.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Boo Boo is a lifestyle for everybody wondering In my car,
- 0:52Speaker 3: I have them hanging not in my like they're just
- 0:54Speaker 3: hanging on the car and every other day I kind
- 0:57Speaker 3: of switch them out.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Oh oh they don't now.
- 1:01Speaker 2: The dumplings Ocean loves the dumplings. She just got a
- 1:04Speaker 2: glitter one when we went to Newport Beach. She got
- 1:07Speaker 2: it on the pier and I was like, the coolest
- 1:09Speaker 2: mom Oh it was a mini one.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Is that not as cool as the big one?
- 1:13Speaker 1: It's not as cool, but it's still like pretty cool.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I can't keep up apparently, like the butter the stick
- 1:18Speaker 2: of butter one huge.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Two, and all you do is squeeze. I'm like, it's
- 1:22Speaker 3: a stress ball and a stick of butter.
- 1:26Speaker 2: The thing that I do like about them is I
- 1:28Speaker 2: don't think the stick of butter breaks in your hand,
- 1:33Speaker 2: Like I get really in there. And the other day
- 1:35Speaker 2: I was really just needing of this dumpling butter.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Oh the dumpling, yeah, no.
- 1:42Speaker 2: It was, but it was the square oh dropped in
- 1:46Speaker 2: my hand. Oh yeah, second one, I've done that too.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah, what is wrong with you?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Maybe meat a stress ball instead of squeezing These kids toys.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like the second one.
- 1:59Speaker 1: That's yes. I can't believe you didn't think that it would.
- 2:03Speaker 3: It's like these orange blue it's like you know there's
- 2:06Speaker 3: stuff in there.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Yeah I did.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And they're for kids. They're gonna break.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Well I've broken up, you know.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, have people send it to you?
- 2:16Speaker 4: Do they want money for them or they just want to.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You want money?
- 2:19Speaker 3: I'm out, baby, Let's go buy one closely, right, Like, Hey,
- 2:24Speaker 3: you can buy this and i'llbed you in three weeks.
- 2:26Speaker 3: It's like, I'll just go buy it and have it
- 2:27Speaker 3: in three minutes. So that's what we'll do.
- 2:30Speaker 4: See, Like Larry David said.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't have my time, but you can have
- 2:36Speaker 3: my things. Or strangers want your time?
- 2:39Speaker 4: What was the what is it? Curb your enthusiasm?
- 2:41Speaker 2: He's got someone staying with him and he's like, She's like, Larry,
- 2:44Speaker 2: I talked to the neighbor. There's a break Like what
- 2:47Speaker 2: are you doing talking to the neighbors? Like, well, I
- 2:48Speaker 2: was talking to them because there's been breakings, and he goes, stranger, No,
- 2:53Speaker 2: thieves want your things.
- 2:55Speaker 4: The neighbors want your time. I'd rather give things than time.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Oh true, Like.
- 3:01Speaker 4: I don't don't take my time because that I can't
- 3:02Speaker 4: get back.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I can figure out a way to make back my
- 3:05Speaker 2: Labubu money. People have asked, how do you feel about
- 3:08Speaker 2: Ocean starting a new school in the fall. Yeah, so
- 3:11Speaker 2: the school that she's going to there's a drop off system.
- 3:15Speaker 2: You have to either get on the bus or do
- 3:18Speaker 2: a carpool, and the carpool you have to have a
- 3:22Speaker 2: minimum of two kids in the car. And I was
- 3:26Speaker 2: down for that, and then I was thinking about it
- 3:28Speaker 2: because if we do film another season, I'm going to
- 3:32Speaker 2: start that at the same time she starts school.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I don't know what that schedule.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Is, like, I don't know how it's going to affect
- 3:38Speaker 2: like my day to day work schedule. And I don't
- 3:40Speaker 2: want to be the mom who has to like reach
- 3:42Speaker 2: out to the carpool chat trying to get people to
- 3:44Speaker 2: like pickover black yes.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Because then I know how that goes.
- 3:48Speaker 1: She's going to get annoyed.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Then I'm gonna be gossiped about. And I just don't
- 3:52Speaker 2: want the smoke. I just want to go in in peace, Okay,
- 3:55Speaker 2: I don't want to deal. So I had a playdate
- 3:59Speaker 2: for Ocean with one of these kids that's going to
- 4:02Speaker 2: go to her school with her, and she was like,
- 4:05Speaker 2: let's look at the bus schedule. Because everyone knows I
- 4:07Speaker 2: am completely technologically challenged. If I have to sign into
- 4:11Speaker 2: a portal or do whatever else I need to do
- 4:14Speaker 2: on the internet, I just shut down.
- 4:17Speaker 4: In short circuit. So she looks it up.
- 4:19Speaker 2: She's like, these are the coordinates of where the bus
- 4:21Speaker 2: will pick you up, and look, there's space for you.
- 4:23Speaker 2: So I got Ocean on the bus. That's how she's
- 4:26Speaker 2: going to be getting to and from school. I don't
- 4:29Speaker 2: really mind that part, mom, the dropping off, that's like
- 4:32Speaker 2: the least of my concern. My whole thing is she's
- 4:35Speaker 2: at a school now that's going to be K through twelve,
- 4:38Speaker 2: which is great because I don't have to go through
- 4:41Speaker 2: the application process again, that's a whole thing.
- 4:43Speaker 4: You guys.
- 4:44Speaker 2: You have to write like paragraphs on end and answer
- 4:47Speaker 2: these questions, which not a big deal to sit there
- 4:51Speaker 2: in too your own kid's horn all day, Like we
- 4:53Speaker 2: can all do that as moms. But there's just like
- 4:56Speaker 2: this amount of pressure that feels unnecess to me. If
- 5:00Speaker 2: I can get her into a K through twelve And
- 5:02Speaker 2: I love this school, like I loved the campus. I
- 5:04Speaker 2: love the teachers and the staff. The curriculum is amazing
- 5:08Speaker 2: because I feel like they're going to incubate her creativity.
- 5:12Speaker 2: That was one of my other biggest things is where
- 5:15Speaker 2: do I place my kid where she's obviously going to
- 5:19Speaker 2: learn what she needs to learn so she can be
- 5:20Speaker 2: a functioning human being out in the world, but also
- 5:23Speaker 2: look at her and go, Okay, this is what she's
- 5:26Speaker 2: interested in. How do we place her in a direction
- 5:30Speaker 2: and nurture that. Thank you, Mom. I think a lot
- 5:33Speaker 2: of parents, especially with their first when you send them
- 5:36Speaker 2: to a new school, it just makes you realize that
- 5:40Speaker 2: time is passing very quickly. I mean, this kid made
- 5:42Speaker 2: me a mom, and now she's going into like real
- 5:47Speaker 2: big girls school. And I'm telling you, when I send
- 5:50Speaker 2: her with her dad, she's not even gone for a
- 5:53Speaker 2: very long time, and I feel like she comes back
- 5:56Speaker 2: a completely different human, Like she looks different, like more mature, taller,
- 6:02Speaker 2: she's learned a new big word.
- 6:06Speaker 4: And it like.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Freaks me out because I have a weird relationship with time.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And then it reminds me that, okay, if time is
- 6:15Speaker 2: going quick with her, Sosa, who will most likely be
- 6:18Speaker 2: my last child, Like.
- 6:20Speaker 4: That phase of life is ending.
- 6:24Speaker 2: You know, I don't think you think like I do, though, Mom,
- 6:28Speaker 2: you have friends like Kristen thinks how I think where
- 6:30Speaker 2: she thinks about the past and she goes through a
- 6:33Speaker 2: morning period. That's how I get, like cleaning out the
- 6:38Speaker 2: clothes and all of that where it's like these.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Do you have another word you'd like to you.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Just so sad?
- 6:47Speaker 2: Sad?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Sad, sad? Upsetting?
- 6:51Speaker 2: Yeah, And the nights that I want to say like, no,
- 6:54Speaker 2: we've done enough popcorn in the bed.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I mean, there's gonna be a day.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Where she wants nothing to do with my bed or
- 7:01Speaker 2: popcorn in the bed, and she's not gonna want to
- 7:04Speaker 2: watch Luca four hundred times in a row. Well, that's
- 7:09Speaker 2: the other thing is when you send them into a
- 7:10Speaker 2: new school, you're like, what behaviors have I like, instilled,
- 7:15Speaker 2: not really cared about where she's gonna go to school.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Like the other day I took her to gymnastics. You're
- 7:21Speaker 2: gonna be mad about this, mom. And they were playing
- 7:24Speaker 2: on the play set and they were in the inside
- 7:28Speaker 2: of the slide, all the girls and one of the
- 7:31Speaker 2: boys was trying to shoot water at them and she goes.
- 7:35Speaker 4: He's getting to us. He's shooting the water up the slide.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Jesus Christ.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And I was like, oh.
- 7:41Speaker 4: I looked at her. I was like, you cannot say that.
- 7:43Speaker 4: She goes you say it all.
- 7:44Speaker 2: The time, and I was like, you literally, if you
- 7:47Speaker 2: say that at school, are going to get in a
- 7:48Speaker 2: lot of trouble, and she's I love Jesus, Mom. I'm
- 7:51Speaker 2: like a big difference between like that and saying the
- 7:53Speaker 2: Lord's name in vain.
- 7:54Speaker 4: But I'm like, what have I said?
- 7:57Speaker 2: And not curtailed that She's gonna freaking head over to
- 8:01Speaker 2: kindergard to just dropping JC all the livelong day. Yeah, well,
- 8:08Speaker 2: then what they're learning on the iPads? I started taking
- 8:11Speaker 2: the iPad away because I'm over it. She starts getting
- 8:15Speaker 2: like I saw this thing on the Today Show where
- 8:17Speaker 2: kids as young as like eighteen months are showing visible
- 8:21Speaker 2: addictions to the iPad And that's Sosa, like fully.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Sitting there on the iPad.
- 8:27Speaker 2: The moment you take it away, she has a meltdown
- 8:30Speaker 2: as if you are a pod like tripping. And then
- 8:35Speaker 2: this one gets huge attitude and when I tell her
- 8:38Speaker 2: to knock it off, she goes, I was just teasing, mom,
- 8:42Speaker 2: So you can just tell like they're learning to hustle you.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I'm hoping this new school curtails that stuff.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Now, that's what school is for.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I feel like it's like to discipline your kid because
- 8:51Speaker 3: do we can only do so much? As like you
- 8:54Speaker 3: as the family, you need an outsider to be like
- 8:58Speaker 3: you can't do.
- 8:59Speaker 4: That, right, they don't take you because I don't take you. Yes,
- 9:02Speaker 4: the tools on you.
- 9:03Speaker 3: So when your teacher says it, you're kind of like, oh,
- 9:06Speaker 3: I can't do that. Yeah, So I like I think
- 9:08Speaker 3: school is good for that of like putting them in
- 9:12Speaker 3: like what you can and cannot say. Even if in
- 9:15Speaker 3: the family you can't get to her, they do it's.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Not appropriate except for inside of your four walls with
- 9:21Speaker 2: your mom.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, no, I agree with you because I remember
- 9:25Speaker 3: being like not yelled at, but like when Miss Olsen,
- 9:27Speaker 3: like that was one of my first like memories in
- 9:30Speaker 3: school is like Miss Olsen and she came up to
- 9:33Speaker 3: me and I wasn't I wasn't behaving and she talked
- 9:35Speaker 3: to me and she was like, you can't do that
- 9:36Speaker 3: and I will never forget it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: You like wanted to cry, yeah, And I was like,
- 9:39Speaker 2: I'm never merits in kindergarten.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I can't even remember kindergarten to be completely honest.
- 9:44Speaker 4: He's Colondie.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I got to merits when you didn't act right and
- 9:48Speaker 2: I was kind of hand it out left and right,
- 9:51Speaker 2: and I always felt this.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Like overwhelming amount of shame.
- 9:54Speaker 3: It's you start with you start with five stars and
- 9:57Speaker 3: you're ending the day with like one. You're like, oh shit,
- 10:00Speaker 3: everybody has ten. I have one.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm more concerned about myself Ocean going to this
- 10:17Speaker 2: big school because I'm like, I start having social anxiety,
- 10:21Speaker 2: and it's just like can she wear the tide of school.
- 10:25Speaker 2: We're like all hyper fixated on the dress code and
- 10:29Speaker 2: you can't have nail polished. So then I'm like, oh
- 10:30Speaker 2: my gosh when I get my nails done, like.
- 10:32Speaker 4: What color is she going to have?
- 10:33Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, because you can't have any other colors
- 10:35Speaker 2: besides like red and gray. And I just start tweaking
- 10:37Speaker 2: out on all the little things. She's gonna thrive. She's
- 10:41Speaker 2: like the class clown. She's you know, singing in Spanish already.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Both my kids know Spanish. I know it's a big deal,
- 10:50Speaker 2: right mom.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I was watching.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Cheeky Tunes and we were just watching it and her
- 10:56Speaker 3: I was She goes, do you know what they're saying?
- 10:58Speaker 3: And I go no, and she goes, they're talking about
- 11:00Speaker 3: the frog swimming. I was like, ah, all right, and
- 11:03Speaker 3: then popped up the frog swimming. I was like, oh, wow,
- 11:06Speaker 3: you do know? Yeah, yeah, I didn't know a lick
- 11:09Speaker 3: of anything. But yeah, she was like, do you know
- 11:10Speaker 3: what they're saying?
- 11:12Speaker 1: You knew.
- 11:12Speaker 2: There's not much I'm nervous about when she gets to
- 11:15Speaker 2: this school, except for like the logistics, which I.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Always get used to.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I mean, even when she started pre K at the
- 11:22Speaker 2: other school at the age of three, like you get
- 11:24Speaker 2: hyperfixated on. I mean I was always like forty five
- 11:26Speaker 2: minutes early to drop her off to school, and then
- 11:28Speaker 2: I started being late all the time because you get comfortable.
- 11:31Speaker 2: So I am concerned because she keeps talking about she's
- 11:35Speaker 2: worried about being bullied, which she's never talked about ever,
- 11:38Speaker 2: And I'm like, where are you learning this word?
- 11:39Speaker 4: And why are we even going? There is a.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Dipad and guarantee you.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Yeah, like when she comes in because she likes to, like,
- 11:48Speaker 3: I feel like she's learned a lot of things, like
- 11:50Speaker 3: doing the hairspa for mom and things like that. I
- 11:52Speaker 3: saw a video and she was the girl was doing
- 11:54Speaker 3: a spawn like their parents, So I think she takes
- 11:57Speaker 3: a lot from it. So I think, like when there's
- 12:00Speaker 3: those people and they're doing it, they're like bullying the
- 12:03Speaker 3: one girl and then the one girl.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Whole video is to teach you me it is, but.
- 12:08Speaker 1: She's only taking the bullying.
- 12:10Speaker 3: So it's like three people bullying this little girl and
- 12:12Speaker 3: then it all comes and then they're all friends, and
- 12:15Speaker 3: it's like, don't do that.
- 12:17Speaker 1: The way they do it is probably well.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I didn't watch the whole thing, but I'm guessing she's
- 12:20Speaker 3: taking the smallest things from it.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Okay, if that makes sense.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think we should as I'm letting
- 12:29Speaker 2: her watch this iPhone right now.
- 12:30Speaker 3: But like I said, there's times.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Called you give your parents because.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I've seen and I've witnessed you, so I understand what
- 12:39Speaker 3: it does for a parent. And when I see other
- 12:41Speaker 3: parents out, I'm like and with their I'm like, Okay,
- 12:44Speaker 3: you're probably just taking a moment.
- 12:45Speaker 1: You need a moment. I'm sorry.
- 12:48Speaker 2: My also biggest fear before we wrap up with school
- 12:52Speaker 2: is time is flying very quickly and she's going to
- 12:55Speaker 2: get to a place where she has like homework. I'm
- 12:58Speaker 2: going to need a tutor onlock because I don't have
- 13:01Speaker 2: the mental capacity and she's she gets excited about the
- 13:06Speaker 2: thought of homework. But I think I'm gonna have to
- 13:07Speaker 2: have someone come to the house because I just like,
- 13:11Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know, but you're good at math.
- 13:15Speaker 2: You could take on the math of it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and then we're gonna have to go to Old
- 13:21Speaker 1: Sylvan Learning Center.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 2: See, I'm like when people are like, how do you
- 13:25Speaker 2: feel about her starting a new school, I'm like, well,
- 13:27Speaker 2: it's less about Ocean because she's gonna crush it. But like,
- 13:30Speaker 2: I'm a little worried for myself, Like I might have
- 13:33Speaker 2: to be medicated because we're all in this together, all right.
- 13:37Speaker 2: School's right around the corner. She starts the end of August.
- 13:40Speaker 2: A lot of kids start at the beginning of September,
- 13:42Speaker 2: but Easton is headed with my mother to Ohio for
- 13:46Speaker 2: the World Series. So you guys will get your tickets whatever,
- 13:51Speaker 2: and then I'll that See that's another thing that makes
- 13:53Speaker 2: me nervous. I'm gonna be flying solo as I work.
- 13:58Speaker 4: And get her to and from school.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Someone beta blocker immediately, you guys, thank you so much
- 14:05Speaker 2: for listening to another bonus episode of Untraditionally Lala, I
